Brother dearest.  ... Been awhile, hasn't it, Bro?  A little antsy?  Wondering when the next shoe is about to fall, that is, when you'll be fully exposed for the thieving son of a bitch you truly are?  Patience.  All in good time, good buddy.  When I'm damned good and ready.  Timing just right.  After all, a son of a bitch who's stolen his father's estate needs to be fully exposed publicly for whom and what he is, don't you think?  Indeed, a public service for your neighbors, professional associates, family, and friends, etc..

Conveniently, forget?  Others need to protect themselves against a fraud who masquerades as both a teacher and a counselor, no?  -- How the hell did you ever pass an MMPI some forty years ago to get hired?  You're not stable.  Have not been.  ... Must have really been pissed off at the old man to rip off an estate, no?  How much did you steal while he was alive and supposedly under your care?

How much did you bribe law enforcement to ignore a complaint I filed with them years before the old man died?  How much did you bribe the prosecutor to ignore a complaint filed with her several years ago?  How much?  Use the old man's money to bribe the bitch?  Her cohorts?  Your law enforcement shysters?  While there may indeed be no justice from a corrupt system, fortunately, I do have a way to publicly expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.

... Unlike our grandmother who scrubbed floors on her hands and knees during the Depression for peanuts, only to have what little she had stolen by her son, our uncle, another goddamned thieving son of a bitch just like you.  Remember how, surprise, surprise, there was no life insurance when our grandfather died?  Despite the fact our grandmother gave her thieving bastard son premium money year after goddamned year?  Only, as the thieving son of a bitch he truly was, to have pocketed it.  Again, just like you.

Remember when he booted her out of the house she had bought him when he had had enough of her?  -- Despite the fact he had lied and promised she could stay the rest of her life?  She had to climb two flights of stairs on an ulcerated leg to get to a bathroom he had never built for her at ground level as falsely promised.   Nothing ever happened to the thieving son of a bitch as far as justice was concerned.  Worse, he was never exposed publicly for the thieving son of a bitch he truly was.

Will be different for you, Bro.  While you've bought off authorities, you will be publicly exposed.  In great detail.  In good time.  When I'm damned good and ready.  When exposure will do the maximum figurative damage to your goddamned sordid reputation.  -- Just the truth, brother dearest, however.  Just the truth.

Irony of ironies?  When the thieving son of a bitch died, and our mother was finally informed he had passed, she cried for her brother, -- the bastard thief who stole from her mother.  Sad, isn't it?  Too bad she's not still alive to see you publicly exposed for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you, yourself, truly are.  As was he.  Not in a court of law you've bought off, however.  Right here.

In good time.  Again, when I'm damned good and ready.  Employing the very same tactics used against Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo.  -- On steroids, however, since all dirty family laundry will be aired.  All of it.  No threat.  A promise.  Emails sent to your neighbors, friends, professional associates, businesses you deal with.  Although an enormous amount of work, all doable courtesy of the Internet.  Despite being some 1,800 miles away.  -- Small world, isn't it, Bro?  Enjoy the stolen loot, you son of a bitch.  Forget?  It's all you have.

Brother dearest.  Save all the check stubs from the old man's accounts?  Fraudulently sign any of them yourself?  Think this material couldn't be obtained from the banks either through discovery or a criminal investigation?  Still own the house on Condict Rd.?   Any other properties besides this one and the old man's you stole with the help of your shyster bastard? Be interesting to see how far your assets extend and where.  Think all that information isn't accessible?  That I won't determinedly obtain it?

That not only an extensive Internet search will be conducted that will likely take months to complete?  But an extensive background check as well?  Think the Catholic high school you attended shouldn't be informed of the thievery of one of its graduates?  Think the clerics there would be appalled at their failure to teach you right from wrong?  How about both universities?  Think neighbors in the old man's neighborhood won't be informed of your deception?  Think they don't have a right to know?

Ever follow the advice of Dr. Bert Wiser, psychological statistics professor at MSU?  That is, get treatment for your achingly debilitating instability?  Is that why you wound up looting the old man?  Or, is it simply a convenient excuse you'll use to defend the indefensible?  Think this will end any time soon?  That is, public exposure of you as a thieving son of a bitch?  We're just getting started, Bro.  Just getting started.

Don't like it?  Tough shit.  Sue me you thieving son of a bitch.  Would use discovery to learn and post on this website all there is to know about you, your activities, predilections, business 'deals,' as well as all your financial transactions, etc..  All of it.  Would certainly avoid the expense of an extensive background check on you, thieving brother dearest.

Even if you were successful in court, there is nothing for you to take, this remains, as well, a homesteading state where minimal assets are protected anyway.  This site is hosted in an overseas country that doesn't particularly like government intrusion, remains not prone to cooperate.  Besides, can always upload to another webhost in still yet another country.  The possibilities are endless, Bro.  Just takes willingness, effort, unshakable determination.

Even if I lost it all would be more than worth it to expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.  Even if you bribed a goddamned nazi 'judge' to remove posted material, would not cooperate and be more than willing to rot in jail.  Would certainly keep reposting it all no matter the cost and/or personal consequences every time it was taken down.  Forget, you thieving son of a bitch?  I never ever give up.

Since all I seek is your exposure for the thief you truly are, would all be worth it.  For the sake of principle.  All the work, financial cost, as well as the time I am about to dedicate to this effort, you deceptive, unstable, sick, thieving son of a bitch.  Unlike you, I live on principle and have absolutely nothing to lose.  You do.  Will certainly take great pleasure and satisfaction in doing all I can to publicly expose you for whom and what you are.

To say nothing of placing enormous pressure on prosecutors you and your equally corrupt shyster son of a bitch apparently bribed.  Don't like it?  Again, tough shit. Chew harder.  The public needs to know to protect itself.  From you and your shyster bastard.  People who live and travel in your circles as well.  Including his.  As a thief, you and he can't be trusted by anyone.  You'll determinedly f--k them.

More than willing to provide this truly public service.  People certainly need to know whom and what you are.  What you have sadly become.  You certainly weren't brought up to be a thieving son of a bitch.  What happened?  Where did you lose yourself, Bro?  -- Never mind.  ... Truly doesn't matter.  Only your exposure.

TC 4-22-16

Hey, Bro?  Remember me?  How soon they conveniently forget.  ... Half asleep? -- Out to lunch?  ... In your own perverse little world?  That of a criminal?  Wake up.  Conveniently, gutlessly forget?  Insanely believe you're someway, somehow off the hook?  Think again.  We're not done.  You remain a thief who will be exposed for whom and what your are.  What you certainly have become.  No question about that.  Patience, you thieving son of a bitch.  Exposure is coming.  Promise.

Think I don't have time?  Truly believe the ongoing Presidential fiasco ends no matter who wins?  The murderous decay in law enforcement gets resolved any time soon?  Criminal Wells Fargo employees from local Kingsland bank manager Amanda S. Wright right up to and including CEO John Stumpf get prosecuted in the near future despite egregious criminal activity?  Wouldn't hold my breath, would you?

Think I don't have time to handle all this and your public exposure for the estate-stealing criminal son of a bitch you've truly become?  How could you steal from the old bastard, you incredibly sad sack of shit?  Certainly weren't brought up to be a thief.  What happened to you?  Where'd you lose yourself?

No question, 2017 will be a most remarkable, defining year for you, Bro.  Public exposure for the thieving piece of shit you've sadly become.  It's on the way. Promise.  Hope you sue.  Nothing for you to take.  Tough, isn't it?  Certainly, makes me judgment proof.  Will certainly, as well, take advantage of discovery.  Publish every detail I can get my hands on.  No matter the consequences.  Only consideration?  Prime directive?  Your exposure for whom and what you are.

Readers?  This not-so-brotherly piece of shit stole from our father.  Manipulated the old man to line his pockets.  Just like our uncle on my mother's side of the family did to my grandmother.  Runs in the family.  Our family.   ... Right, Bro?  This game now gets played my way, -- not yours, you son of a bitch.  That is, no more U.S. Mail tag.

Anything sent by mail will be refused, returned unopened.  Want contact?  Email.  libertyinperil@riseup.net.  Quick.  Easy.  Better yet?  A digital record.  Permanent.  Easily accessible.  Easily uploaded to this site when and if it becomes necessary.  The shyster bastard you hired to steal the estate shouldn't expect escape, either, from public exposure as the thieving piece of shit he, like you, truly both are.  Unscrupulous thieves.

Sincerely hope that piece of crap sues as well.  Nothing to take.  Discovery again would be published no matter the personal cost.  Nothing quite like public exposure, is there?  Especially, when it is nothing but the truth and there is absolutely nothing to lose exposing two pieces of criminal shit for whom and what they are.  Two pieces of gutless human excrement who looted an old man.  ... Right, Bro?

There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers.  Glaring sunlight.  Dazzling brilliance.  Amazing how the roaches run for cover.  Equally pointedly, how vermin on two legs manage to so easily prey on the elderly courtesy of the out of control fascist police-state we now live in.  While there'll never be any justice vis a vis this theft, there will be exposure to the brilliant light of day for both criminal perpetrators.  Count on it, you not-so-brotherly criminal son of a bitch.

TC 10-7-16

Hey, Bro?  Hear of Old Sturbridge Village?  Haven't?  ... Not lying, are you, you thieving son of a bitch?  You and your long-term companion EC conspire, bequeath some of the old man's loot to this museum?  An achingly stingy gift of $250-$499, -- considering the size of the estate?  The CEO and Board have any idea you stole it?  Think they'd care?  -- Just getting started, dearest, dearest Bro.  ... Delusionally believe I haven't more than enough time, resources, determination to expose you for the thieving piece of crap you truly are?  ... Under $500 back in 2013?  Remarkably parsimonious with stolen money aren't you?   What does it feel like to have gutlessly ripped off an incompetent old man?  -- Dear old Dad.  Certainly, look forward to digging much deeper into how you and your shyster lawyer managed to bamboozle and loot the old bastard.  Back in the day, certainly wouldn't have fallen for your bullshit.  Would have kicked your worthless, thieving ass out the door.  Intend to expose it to the light of day.  Indeed, a public service. Seatbelts on, you thieving son of a bitch. Tally ho!

TC 3-24-17

... Brief aside, dear readers, for a most exceptional reason.  -- Although infrequent, pressing ongoing personal business must come first on rare occasion.  Hope you agree, moreover, find it entertaining, -- as this writer did crafting what follows.  Principle trumps all.  Remains prime mover, prime directive no matter what.

This pressing issue involves a family thief. A heartless predator preying on the elderly who must be held accountable, exposed to the light of day.  Especially, since authorities failed to do their job.  The following is part of that continuing effort to expose this piece of shit for whom and what he is:

Hey, Bro?  Guess what?  Me, again.  Most determined pain in the ass.  Miss me?  An inconvenient, nagging hemorrhoid that simply won't go away no matter what.  -- A pile with a smile that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

... Delusionally think this most persistent nemesis of yours conveniently disappeared to parts unknown, vanished in thin air? To give a turd a break?  Wake up.  Not a chance, you thieving son of a bitch.  ... When you insanely believe this writer's gone and you're finally in the clear, guess what, here I am, right in your face.

Despite what's going on across our formerly great country, always have more than enough time for personal business.  That is, exposing you, Bro, to the glaring light of day.  A pathetically greedy predator.  Your target, who else, the elderly.  Most defenseless, vulnerable, an easy fleece.  -- Thought you'd steal from the surly old curmudgeon with impunity, no consequences?

Successfully escape accountability? Avoid detection, all responsibility?  Blatant theft of an old man's estate?  A little help from a bought and paid for hopelessly greedy unprincipled shyster?  Supposed cake walk due to 1800 miles separation?  No one to hold you accountable?  Your feet to the fire?  What could you possibly been thinking?

You've read this publication before.  Know precisely who and what I am, what I do.  Never give up.  Never say die.  Ignore all obstacles.  Know full well Liberty In Peril modus operandi remains as relentlessly ferocious, blindingly intense as ever.

No punches pulled.  No slack.  No personal consideration.  Certainly, not for a gutless son of a bitch, no more than a thieving predator.  Looted target, guess who, dear old dad.  Pitiful.  Delusionally believe you had the booty coming?  An entitlement?  For having had to put up with his shit all those years?  Wake up.

Hear of Historic Deerfield?  Of course, you have, you lying son of a bitch.  Forget?  You're one of their not-so-generous 'benefactors.'  ... With all the money stolen from our father's estate, only bequeath them a piss poor $40 bucks?

Unbelievable.  An achingly tight, cheap, thieving, worthless piece of duplicitous crap.  ... Write-off?  Negligible.  ... Feather in the cap? How?  Delusionally believe your treachery would never see the light of day? What planet do you live on?

Board of Trustees Chair Anne K. Groves know full well you looted the estate?  How about President Philip Zea?  Think both don't have a right to know?  How about Anne Lanning, Vice President For Museum Affairs?  To say nothing of Susan Martinelli, Vice President For Business Affairs?

These officials are entitled to know precisely whom they're doing business with.  A thief.  Gutless phony.  Blow-hard fraud.  Hoity-toity dandy.  Worse?  An unprincipled thief who stole from his father.  ... Glaring light of day sucks, doesn't it, Bro?  No escaping the unvarnished truth, this most bitter reality.  Not a chance.

Saddest of all?  Back in the day, Hell would have frozen over before anyone would have have been able to rip off the craggy old bastard.  Remember quite well how intent, determined he was not to be fleeced late in life by a sick son of a bitch like you.

A leech.  Ironic, isn't it?  Gutless rip off of an old man who couldn't adequately handle his affairs any longer.  How do you sleep nights?

Fraud runs in the family, clearly.  History repeating itself.  Right in the footsteps of our grandmother's son, who callously ripped off his mother decades ago.  Again, another achingly pathetic piece of human excrement.  Just like you.  Intend to lay it bare.  Methodically.  Painstakingly. In great detail.  Living, breathing color.

For all to see.  A public service.  Exposure of the criminal piece of human excrement you truly are.  For sustained public review.  A goddamned thief.  Pissed? Chagrined?  Nonplused?  Tough shit.  Sue.  Would certainly immediately post all discovery no matter the consequences.

All snail mail will be returned unopened.  No phone tag.  Got something to say? Email.  Say it right here.  On this website.  In public.  For the world to see.  Will be posted in its entirety.  No editing.  Unlike you, this writer doesn't lie, cheat, steal.  Honors his word.  Intend to expose you precisely for whom and what you are.

Duplicitous predator who preyed on his own father.  Blinding exposure to benefit the community.  Have nothing to lose providing this public service, but you do.  No better disinfectant than sunshine.

.. Think the old bastard not spinning in his grave?  -- Old lady not doing the same?  One thing for certain.  Neither brought you up to be a goddamned thief.  Yet, here we are.  ... Until next time, Tally Ho!

TC 7-14-17

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

5-25-18

... Hey, Sheriff?  Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Tim Chorney, Publisher
Liberty In Peril

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  One hundred eighty three weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do? Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised? Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff? Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up. Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it.  Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Small sampling of what's to come in this edition.  Read on.

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

Who are they, Sheriff?  Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information?  One hundred eighty three weeks. Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  One hundred eighty three weeks.   Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be yours courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  That has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you boys not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded.  An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

Have any information, knowledge of, experience with a purportedly non-profit volunteer clean-up group called Looking Forward In Llano County affiliated with the Llano County Attorney's Office?  Email this publication at libertyinperil@protonmail.com to provide information and/or arrange a meeting to discuss this matter.  If requested, your identity will be protected.  The question is quite simple.  Is this group what it claims to be and on the level?

Unparalleled toughness of a Vietnam veteran.  Seatbelts on.  ABC News reports:

"At 84 years old, Lt. Col. Maggie DeSanti still fits in her Army uniform. She also can still pull rank on the younger generation."

Certainly, can.  Certainly, did.  No question.  Get this:

"Before boarding her Honor Flight in Arizona -- a trip to Washington to visit war memorials organized by a nonprofit group -- DeSanti couldn't resist challenging a TSA officer to a pushup contest. A video shared by officials with the Arizona chapter of the Honor Flight network shows DeSanti, decked out in her Vietnam War uniform and wearing a full leg brace, on the ground alongside the TSA employee. Onlookers count as they both work to hit 10 pushups. DeSanti is helped back up to her feet after the exhibition, smiling ear-to-ear. DeSanti served as an Army nurse in the Vietnam War, Honor Flight said. The trip to the capital is her fourth of the fall season and the network's inaugural flight for Vietnam War veterans."

Another veteran stands tall.  'Takes no prisoners.'  NPR reports:

"President Trump fired him (after he submitted his resignation) and earlier this week reportedly called him "the world's most overrated general," but former Defense Secretary James Mattis had a few barbs of his own to sling in a speech he gave in New York on Thursday."

Did he ever.  LOL.  Seatbelts on:

"Delivering the keynote address at the 74th Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, Mattis — a retired four-star U.S. Marine general — said he felt he had finally "achieved greatness." "I'm not just an overrated general, I am the greatest, the world's most overrated," he said to laughter."

Gets better:

"I'm honored to be considered that by Donald Trump, because he also called Meryl Streep an overrated actress," Mattis continued. "So, I guess I'm the Meryl Streep of generals. Frankly that sounds pretty good to me."

No kidding.  LOL.

"The jibes were a departure for Mattis, whose book Call Sign Chaos: Learning to Lead, published last month, was met with criticism from some who said he had pulled punches in characterizing the president's erratic leadership style."

Certainly, did.  For a reason:

"In an interview with NPR promoting his book, Mattis declined to discuss his relationship with Trump. "I don't discuss sitting presidents," Mattis said. "I believe that you owe a period of quiet."

Finally, found his voice:

"Mattis said he had been asked what he thought of Trump's remarks, which reportedly came during a White House meeting with congressional Democrats on Wednesday. "I earned my spurs on the battlefield ... Donald Trump earned his spurs in a letter from a doctor," he said in a reference to a medical deferment for bone spurs that kept Trump from serving in the military during the Vietnam War."

Quite biting.  In a most laid back way.

"Although Trump's nickname for Mattis was "mad dog" — a nickname the former general despised — Mattis said these days he feels more like "an emotional support animal." "And that's really great, because now the airlines allow me to fly for free," he said."

Character and principle, second to none:

"But Mattis quickly moved on from the jokes and picked up a more serious tone, citing a speech that Abraham Lincoln gave in 1838 to the Young Men's Lyceum of Springfield, Ill. In it, Lincoln "observed great nations crumble for one of two reasons," the first being foreign invasion, Mattis said, which the future president dismissed as "inconceivable." The second, he said, paraphrasing Lincoln, "was corrosion from within – the rot, the viciousness, the lassitude, the ignorance."

No question.  Spot on.

"Anarchy is one potential consequence of all this. The other is the rise of an ambitious leader, unfettered by conscience, or precedent or decency, who would make himself supreme," he said."

Reincarnation of Adolf Hitler.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Decrying the lack of bipartisanship, Mattis warned of a "national paralysis" that has "supplanted trust and empathy with suspicion and contempt."

No question.  Sadly, to be expected, however, when both major political parties have determinedly embraced opposite extremes of the political spectrum.  No middle ground:

"We have scorched our opponents with language that precludes compromise and we have brushed aside the possibility that the person with whom we disagree might actually sometimes be right," he said."

Certainly, a problem at both extremes.  No middle ground.

"We owe a debt to all who fought for liberty, including those who tonight serve in the far corners of our planet, among them the American men and women supporting our Kurdish allies," the retired general said."

Instead, Trump and his henchmen have determinedly betrayed them.

"In conclusion, Mattis again paraphrased Lincoln, this time that president's famous Second Inaugural speech, delivered in the closing days of the Civil War: "With malice for none and charity for all, let us restore trust in one another."

Hopefully, that remains possible.  Time to wake up.  Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.

Another courageous veteran has his say.  ABC News reports:

"The retired Navy admiral who oversaw the mission that killed Osama bin Laden rebuked President Donald Trump for what he called the abandonment [of] American leadership domestically and abroad in an op-ed, citing what he said he'd heard from members of the military and intelligence community. “The America that they believed in was under attack, not from without, but from within,” Adm. William H. McRaven, who led the U.S. Special Operations Command before retiring, wrote in the New York Times Thursday describing the mood at two functions he attended in the span of a week -- one at an Army change of command ceremony and the other a gala honoring members of the intelligence and Special Operations communities."

Clearly, the military community is not happy with the status quo:

"Recalling a conversation he had while attending a ceremony at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, McRaven wrote, “one retired four-star general, grabbed my arm, shook me and shouted, ‘I don’t like the Democrats, but Trump is destroying the Republic!’” McRaven castigated Trump for what he described as failing to stand up to tyrannical regimes abroad and assaulting U.S. institutions, behavior that he said undermines the nation’s standing in the world, and said “it is time for a new person in the Oval Office” if “this president doesn’t demonstrate the leadership that America needs.” McRaven’s comments come just over a week after Trump announced his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria -- leaving America’s Kurdish partners to fend for themselves against Turkey and the Assad regime -- and amid an impeachment inquiry that is ensnaring a growing list of Trump administration officials and associates."

Trump betrayed the military and all gains made against the Islamic State by summarily ordering U.S. forces out of Syria, leading to Turkey's invasion of Syria and assault on the Kurds.  To say nothing of the consequent killing of innocent civilians caught in the crossfire.

"Thursday’s op-ed is not the first time McRaven has criticized the president. Last year, in an op-ed published in the Washington Post shortly after CIA director John Brennan’s security clearance was revoked, McRaven wrote that Trump “embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation.”

Quite true.

"Trump dismissed those comments at the time, calling McRaven a “Hillary Clinton backer and an Obama backer” in a Fox News interview, though McRaven later told CNN that he “did not back Hillary Clinton or anyone else.”

Expect better of a congenital liar?  Trump has disgraced himself, the Oval Office, and our formerly great country.

Two more veterans honored.  Once in awhile, our retiring local congressman gets things right.  LOL.  This is one of those times.  In his Newsletter, Rep. Mike Conaway writes:

"On Tuesday, the House of Representatives unanimously passed my bill, H.R. 2334, renaming the VA Clinic in Odessa as the "Wilson and Young Medal of Honor VA Clinic." This name change honors the lives of two heroes from Odessa, U.S. Marine Corps Private First Class Alfred "Mac" Wilson and U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Marvin Rex Young. Both were posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for their courageous actions during the Vietnam War.

"This name change is very personal to me, as I grew up in Odessa at the same time as Rex and Mac. Rex was a year older than me, and we played on the Permian High School football team together. He was a role model for me, and his strong character is evident through his brave actions in Vietnam. Mac attended Odessa High School, and although I did not have the privilege of knowing him personally, I know he was a wonderful young man as well. Every year on Memorial Day, I ask folks back home to think about someone specifically who has paid the ultimate sacrifice to secure our freedoms. For me, that person is Rex. It is deeply impactful for me to think back on the last fifty years of my life and reflect on all of the memories, good and bad, that Rex and Mac willingly sacrificed for our country."

Uncommon Valor:

"While on a reconnaissance mission on August 21, 1968, SSG Young's platoon came under intense fire from the North Vietnamese Army, killing the platoon leader. In response, Young instinctively assumed command of the platoon, directing his men into defensive positions to counter the attacking forces. While moving through a hail of enemy bullets, SSG Young repeatedly exposed himself to peril for the good of his fellow soldiers. After suffering a critical head wound and additional injuries to his arm and leg, Young refused to receive care that would have slowed his platoon. Instead, he ordered his men to withdraw while he provided cover fire, and was eventually engulfed by the enemy. His actions saved the lives of many men at the cost of his own."

Uncommon Valor:

"On March 3, 1969, PFC Wilson's platoon was ambushed. As squad leader, he set his platoon in a defensive position and began returning fire. When the platoon's machine gunner and assistant gunner were seriously injured, Wilson and another Marine ran through heavy enemy fire to regain operation of the weapon. As they reached the machine gun, an enemy soldier threw a grenade between Wilson and the Marine. Wilson instinctively threw himself on the grenade, absorbing the explosion with his own body and sacrificing his own life for his friend."

One combat veteran's creative method of dealing with post traumatic stress.  CBS News reports:

"For nearly a year, a powerful play written and performed by military veterans has been traveling around the country. The play, "Last Out," is inspired by the 23 years Scott Mann spent in the Army. When he retired from service he struggled with his mental health and decided to write it as a form of therapy. "For a lot of years, I pushed down a lot of the aspects of combat that I didn't understand," Mann told CBS News' David Begnaud. "Whether it was survivor's guilt or mood swings or a lot of the indicators of post-traumatic stress." Mann was a U.S. Army Green Beret who got deployed 12 times in 11 years. He retired as a lieutenant colonel. The play he wrote and stars in is all about the trauma of war."

A most creative approach to an ongoing issue for so many:

"It's been an opportunity to just deal with and process and face a lot of the things that I was struggling to either talk about or to express," Mann said. "I'm not used to seeing people like you be so vulnerable," Begnaud said. "That makes two of us," Mann replied. "Our director, Ame, she said because it's three combat veterans and then Ame is a military family member, so one of the things that she said to us right out of the gate was in war, if you're vulnerable you get killed. But on stage, if you're not vulnerable it will kill you."

Consider the following:

"There are several scenes which can trigger flashbacks. We saw it happen on stage to Mann during rehearsal. A therapist travels with the show to help the cast, crew and even members of the audience. While we were there, Dan Miller's heart rate increased rapidly as he was watching the play. His smartwatch alerted paramedics. Miller is a 50-year-old former Marine whose post-traumatic stress was triggered. Once cleared by paramedics, the show's traveling therapist, Diego Hernandez, treated him. When talking about post-traumatic stress, Diego and Scott Mann intentionally leave off the "d" for disorder. "We need to take the 'd' off, we need to start treating this thing like an injury, not an illness, so that these very, very high performing people can get back in the game and lead us because we need them," Mann said. "The more committed we are to the story the more the veterans just settle in and you can just feel them going for the ride and when it's over … just see the look in their eyes, you know that it was just, 'Hey, thanks for telling my story, man,'" Mann said."

... An unexpected visit.  ABC News reports:

"A U.S. Army brigadier general who became unlikely pen pals with a group of kindergarten students when he was deployed in Iraq drove more than six hours to surprise those students, who are now high school seniors. "It was a great relief for me to say thank you," Army Brigadier General Vincent Buggs told "Good Morning America." "Everyone is always saying thank you to me for my service but it meant more for me to be able to say thank you to them."

How about that?

"Buggs, who lives in Tampa, Florida, was deployed to Iraq three times in the early 2000s, including one deployment that lasted nearly one year. During that time, he became pen pals with a group of kindergarten students at David Emanuel Academy, a small private school in Stillmore, Georgia, a town of less than 1,000 people, through a winding path that started at his college's alumni office. Buggs stayed in touch with the alumni office of his alma mater, Georgia Southern University -- a college about 30 minutes from Stillmore -- to help maintain a sense of normalcy while he was deployed, asking about how the football team was doing and what was happening on campus. During one conversation, a woman in the alumni office told Buggs that her niece's kindergarten class was doing a project with a gingerbread man to learn more about world geography. She asked if he would want to take pictures of the gingerbread man in Iraq, according to Sandra Mosley, the woman's sister-in-law and mother of a student in David Emanuel Academy's kindergarten class. "He did better than that," Mosley recalled of Buggs. "He wrote a whole story about how the gingerbread man had stolen a camel’s water and how important water was to the region and how hot it was even there. He just went above and beyond."

Certainly, did.  Great learning experience for the kids.  Source of comfort and inspiration to a soldier in combat.

"Maybe a month or so after all of that he emailed me and asked how the project came out and I told him it was great and that the students really enjoyed the story of the camel," she said. "Then he asked for their names and he had flags flown in Iraq for each of them and he sent those to all the kids." The act by Buggs was such a big deal that a photo of the students holding their American flags was published in the local newspaper. It also started a pen pal relationship that has lasted for more than a decade. The class of 13 students began sending Buggs notes and care packages. Buggs sent the students notes and treats from wherever he was stationed around the world over the years."

Inspiring, isn't it?

"I remember he would always send Kinder chocolates and that was so exciting," said Jenna Mosley, the now-17-year-old daughter of Sandra Mosley. For Buggs, the notes and care packages from the students meant even more to him, helping him get through his hardest days in Iraq. "They were just probably doing a school project but it meant so much to me," Buggs said. "When you’re sitting in your [bunker] by yourself and you’ve been deployed a few months and the loneliness is there, the letters from home, you get them and it changes your perspective of what you’re dealing with." "Your mind forgets what’s going on around you and have tunnel vision going through these letters," he said."

Contact from home extremely important.

"Buggs, who has served in the military for nearly three decades, had tried for several years to travel to Stillmore to meet the students in person but said the timing never worked out. This past weekend he was traveling to Georgia Southern for alumni weekend and decided to make a stop in Stillmore to surprise David Emanuel Academy's senior class, which includes six students from the original kindergarten class. "I was so surprised that he came back to see us," said one of the students, Boslie Boots, 17. "I did not think I would have such an impact on a person but it was so special to hear about how we’ve helped him over the years." "I never thought through the years that we’d affected his life as much as we did," added Jenna Mosley. "He said letters from us would turn his day around."

Most welcome respite from the insanity of combat.

"The meeting proved unexpectedly emotional for Buggs, who said he wanted to convey to the students the impact they had with their seemingly small acts of kindness. "For me it was like everything from that time period when I was deployed came back in an emotional rush, the missions we were going through and them writing me," Buggs said. "I had a surreal moment of remembering the stressful times and how humble and happy I was to get a letter from them."

Father figure with their best interests in mind:

"Buggs also spoke to the students about their future plans, encouraging them to say not "I hope" but "I will," according to both Boots and Mosley. Buggs said he hopes that the students, and everyone else, take away a big picture message that they can make an impact in the world, whether it be kindness to deployed soldiers or first responders or teachers or just their next door neighbor. "American kindness is I think one of the greatest things we have in our country and it’s not spoken enough of the small things that people do to make a difference in other people’s lives," he said. "Everybody can make an impact and do something positive."

At a time of unparalleled polarization, enormous division, especially good advice.

The very best of humanity never, ever, never gives up.  WPTV-West Palm Beach, Florida reports:

"A local mom graduated from nursing school at the Fortis Institute Tuesday night, but her path to the graduation day was filled with challenges much bigger than bookwork and tests. Shayna Berkowitz, 24, celebrated becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse with her fiancé and her young son, Mason. “You have no idea how great today felt,” Berkowitz said."

Especially, in light of the following:

"Berkowitz was in her final semester of nursing school when she gave birth to her daughter, Madison. “She was perfect. 6 pounds 8 ounces, absolutely perfect,” Berkowitz said. Finishing school with a newborn baby posed its own challenges. “I had maybe six weeks left before I had to take my exit exams,” Berkowitz explained.

"Madison was just days old when Berkowitz checked on her one morning. “I went to go feed her and she was just purple. Lifeless ... I literally just got up and started doing CPR and told my fiancé to call 911,” Berkowitz said. Madison couldn’t be saved. “She had an infection that was unbeknownst to anyone.” Her teachers became a support system urging her to take time to cope, despite the pressure she put on herself to keep working towards graduating. “I wouldn’t have been able to do it. It’s just not something anyone is capable of doing,” Berkowitz."

Never gave up:

"She returned after a three-month break, finishing school with more motivation to do the job she was working toward. She wants to help and work with moms and babies. “Just having that fire to want to help other women, other families be on the lookout for this,” Berkowitz described. She has also created a fundraiser to honor Madison through an organization, ironically, called Madison’s Miracles. Madison’s Miracles helps donate ‘Cuddle Cots’ which are designed to help preserve a baby’s body a little longer after passing. This way, grieving families can spend a little extra time with the infant before laying them to rest. Berkowitz is raising money to dedicate a Cuddle Cot in Madison’s honor."

Think this young couple doesn't have great family support?  ABC News reports:

"Four grandmothers who served as co-flower girls are warming hearts in sweet photos of them walking down the aisle. Bride Lyndsey Raby invited the four women to be in her wedding party at Ocoee Crest in Benton, Tennessee, on Sept. 22. Photographer Natalie Caho captured moments with Raby's 90-year-old maternal great-grandmother, Kathleen Brown, groom Tanner Raby's 70-year-old paternal grandmother, Joyce Raby, the bride's 76-year-old paternal grandmother, Wanda Grant and the bride's 72-year-old maternal grandmother, Betty Brown.

"I thought it was such a sweet way to involve them," Raby said. "They mean the world to us and we were so grateful lo have them here with us because a lot of people don't even get one [at their wedding]."

"While the grandmothers were shy on the dance floor, Raby said they were not shy about wa[l]king down the aisle or posing for pictures. "They loved it," she added."

Above and beyond.  CBS News reports:

"While on the scene of a car accident on Saturday, two Utah firefighters noticed a "very scared" young girl clutching bottles of nail polish. The pair offered to let the girl paint their nails to help calm her down — and left with much more than a new manicure."

... Did they ever.

"This is how amazing our firefighters are," wrote the North Davis Fire District of West Point on its Facebook page Saturday. The department explained that Shift Battalion Chief Allen Hadley and Captain Kevin Lloyd were responding to a motor vehicle accident in which the young girl was involved. The two men were checking in on the crying and screaming girl, while medical personnel tended to her mother, reports The Associated Press. She wasn't hurt, but very scared, wrote the district. Nobody was severely injured in the accident."

At the right place, at the right time:

"The firefighters, both fathers to young girls, realized the very thing that could help the little girl feel better was already in her own hands."

Profound wisdom based on personal experience:

"After noticing the child was holding bottles of fingernail polish, these two officers started talking to her about her polish and asked her if she would paint their nails," wrote the station on Facebook. Soon enough, the little girl was feeling better. "Within minutes, the child was calmly pain[t]ing their nails and had forgotten about the accident she had just experienced," wrote the North Davis Fire District. "Great job Chief Hadley and Captain Lloyd for providing awesome customer service to one of our young citizens."

Best of the best.

"The department posted photos of the two men proudly posing with their brand new pink and purple manicures. The heartwarming post and sweet act of kindness has since gone viral, garnering over 1,700 shares on Facebook and nearly 300 comments."

For good reason.

"North Davis Fire Chief Mark Becraft commented on the post under the department's account, further lauding the men: "Kudos to these great guys that serve our community, it's just the little things that make a huge difference."

Indeed.  Hat's off.

We've got to do better.  Far better.  NBC News reports:

"It's been three years since the sound of a gunshot shattered April Scherzer's life. "Every day I wake up, I start from that," Scherzer, 38, said. "My day begins with that gunshot. I relive all of that, all over again, up until now, up until this present moment." It was past midnight when she heard it. She was nestled in bed with her four-and-a-half-month-old twins, at the home she shared with her husband, Max Scherzer. It was the last place she'd expect to find tragedy. She ran downstairs and discovered Max in their living room, moments after he ended his life with his service weapon."

A growing problem within law enforcement.  Surviving loved ones, colleagues, friends suffer the aftermath.

"Max was just 36 years old and had spent 12 years working as a police officer for the Westampton Township Police Department in New Jersey, a rural community about 40 minutes outside Philadelphia. For several of those years, he struggled to cope with depression, substance abuse and the effects of trauma so often experienced by police officers and other first responders."

Why is help not available?  Why is this not a priority?

The following is inexplicable:

"In the wake of her husband's death, Scherzer received little, if any, emotional or financial support that other widows of deceased police officers normally receive. There was no flag given to her at his funeral. He was not honored with any kind of memorial. Max died on the morning of Aug. 21, 2016. She and her children lost their health insurance by October."

Outrageous, isn't it?  Gets worse:

"It was another kind of loss," Scherzer said. "The first thing you get when you marry a police officer is the blue family. You become part of that group. And I felt like after Max killed himself that me and the kids kind of got kicked out of that police family."

How is that right?  How is it justified?

"Every year, more police officers die by suicide than in the line of duty. No federal agency keeps statistics, but according to the non-profit Blue HELP, at least 175 police officers have died by suicide this year."

Has certainly been repeatedly reported in this publication and elsewhere.  Officer mental health issues need to be addressed on an ongoing basis.  Not only for the sake of law enforcement, but the public as well.

"While both police departments and government agencies across the country are increasingly acknowledging the growing mental health crisis among police officers and first responders, and implementing programming and legislation as a result, less attention is paid to the families, and spouses, who are left behind."

Unconscionable.  Intolerable.

"Too many people take that stigma to heart and that stigma then passes on to the family, when it's not the family's fault," said Karen Solomon, president of Blue HELP. "They shouldn't be penalized. They shouldn't suffer."

That's right.  No question.  This has to change.

"Max loved being around people. Most of all, April Scherzer said, he loved helping people. "When he could help someone, he always did," Scherzer said. "He was just so sweet and kind. He loved me so much. And I loved him. He was my best friend." He started his career eager to put the uniform on every day. Throughout his 12 years of service, he worked patrol, as an undercover narcotics officer and a school resource officer. But the job began to tear at Max, and as the years passed, he began to depend increasingly on alcohol to cope with his feelings. Scherzer said that every few months, when Max would experience something traumatic or triggering at work, he would spiral into a depression and drink. He'd call in sick. He'd isolate himself."

Surprised?  Why?

Here's the problem:

"But the last thing Max wanted, Scherzer said, was to ask for help from his department. Once, she said, when he admitted to his department that he had a drinking problem, he was sent home for 30 days without any resources or direction toward treatment options."

Massive failure of the law enforcement system.  This suicide could have been prevented:

"He didn't feel that he could go to them to ask for help," Scherzer said. "He was worried that everyone would find out. He was worried what everyone would think of him. And he was worried that he would lose his job if he said that he was, you know, having issues with post-traumatic stress or his drinking."

Re-read the above quote.  We can't live without law enforcement.  Absolutely needed, required in civilized society.  Yet, the necessary resources are not readily, easily available to these men and women.  This has to change.

Get this.  Imagine having to deal with the following:

"One particular incident stayed with Max. While working overnight in the middle of winter, he got a call that a man crashed his pickup into a tree. He was the first officer on the scene. When he arrived, the truck was engulfed in flames. Max struggled to pull the man out of the truck, but he couldn't. All he could do was stand back and watch helplessly as the man burned alive. The flashbacks and nightmares started soon after that, and his drinking accelerated. Scherzer tried her best to help him but often, she said, she felt lost. "I didn't know anything about any employee resources," she said. "It's not like when you marry a police officer they give you a manual that says, 'These are the signs to look out for. And this is what you should do when.'"

Why aren't these resources easily, readily available?  Worse, the department was aware he had a drinking problem.  Did nothing.

"I just tried to make the other parts of his life the best I possibly could," she added. "I know he loved his job. But I know sometimes he didn't want to go in. And he didn't want to see those things." Shortly before Max died, he attended a seminar and heard a therapist speak about post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental health conditions that affect first responders. Her talk resonated with Max. Afterward, Scherzer said, he reached out to the sergeant who organized the seminar and asked for the therapist's number."

That should have begun the rode to recovery.  Did not:

"Scherzer said that when the department learned he had requested to speak to the therapist, they confiscated his gun, sent him home for 30 days, and told him that a department-affiliated therapist would have to clear him to return for duty. "During that 30 days Max just drank," Scherzer said. "He was the entire time worried, you know, 'Am I going to have a job? What are we going to do?'" Her husband was "devastated," Scherzer added. "He just sat at home waiting for them to tell him what the next step was," she said. "When he did return, he said all of the other officers knew that he had asked for this woman's phone number. Everybody knew his business. And he felt like everybody was looking at him like he was, you know, this mentally unstable person when he wasn't."

Jesus Christ.  Every mistake the department could have made, -- it did.  Unbridled stupidity.

"Families of police officers who die in the line of duty typically receive an outpouring of emotional support from their police departments and community. Those departments, and states, also provide financial assistance to spouses and families, including death benefits, health insurance and scholarships. That's rarely the case for families whose loved ones die by suicide."

Why?  This needs to change.  Not only for the sake of law enforcement, but the public as well.

Massive failure of law enforcement:

"After Max died, Scherzer and her twins, Max and Molly, were left alone to mourn. A home that often hosted fellow police officers and their families stood largely silent. Her phone stopped ringing. As the days passed, her hope that Max's colleagues would circle around her dimmed. "It's almost like being a cancer that everyone thinks is contagious," Scherzer said. It was at her husband's funeral, when she didn't receive a folded American flag, that she first felt the inkling that she was different from other police widows."

UnacceptableOutrageous.

"I just remember sitting there at the funeral home as everyone left and just sitting there feeling very, very alone and empty and not sure what was going to happen, what I was going to do," she said. The isolation Scherzer experienced compounded her grief. But there were practical matters to attend to, as well, including the question of how she was going to care for herself and her infant children. She had no idea how she was going to make ends meet. Some kind of financial assistance would have helped. But in the state of New Jersey, as in other states, Scherzer was not entitled to death benefits because her husband died of suicide, which is not considered a line of duty death."

Incomprehensible.

"Months before Max's death, a state trooper with two years on the job was killed in an accident. But because he wasn't married to his fiancée, their children were not entitled to full death benefits. The case pushed legislators to act. In August 2016, the same month Max died, Gov. Chris Christie signed a law that extended death benefits to minor children of all police, firefighters and other first responders killed in the line of duty, regardless of their parents' marriage status. Neither Scherzer, nor her twins, qualify for those benefits."

Why not?

Gets worse.  Far worse:

"In October, Scherzer learned her health insurance had been terminated after she rushed her daughter Molly to the emergency room with a fever. "It felt like I had been kicked in the stomach again," Scherzer said. "I didn't know what I was going to do." Scherzer scoured the internet for resources, turning to several national organizations that help families of officers who have died in the line of duty. She explained she needed help. "I was told basically that there was nothing that they could do because my husband's death did not qualify," she said. "Nobody helped me navigate through all the different aspects I had to go through," she added. "It's hard to keep getting turned down and turned away. It's almost dehumanizing."

Ironically, hypocritically:

"We are very selective about who we consider to be heroes in death," Solomon, president of Blue HELP, said. "We tout this blue family concept all the time. What kind of family turns their back on you in the moment you need it the most, because you don't believe in the way somebody died?" More often than not, for families left behind by suicide, Solomon said, there are no memorials. No honors. And no help. "They get nothing," Solomon said. "Zero. See you later. Bye."

Incomprehensible.

Get this:

"Scherzer often has to drive past a memorial that honors fallen police officers from the area. But her husband's name isn't on it."

No question, her husband's death was directly due to his service as an officer.

"As a single mom, she struggles to find time to take care of herself in between raising the twins. She worries that they'll never know about what a kind person he was. About all the good he did. There are few people around, besides herself, to tell those stories. "There's all these great things he did when he was a police officer," she said. "But nobody ever wants to talk about that." The focus, she added, is on "the way he died. Not the way he lived."

K-9 rises to the occasion.  CBS News reports:

"Dekalb County Police Sergeant Frank Cusimano and his K-9 partner, D'Jango, responded to a call on Tuesday that would change everything. "This guy did his job valiantly and because of him he saved lives," Cusimano said. Cusimano and D'Jango were pursuing a man with numerous felony warrants when police said the man fled and fired his gun, striking D'Jango. He was rushed to Blue Pearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital for emergency surgery. Dr. Kevin Winker operated on D'Jango, whose leg had been fractured by the bullet. "It's no different than it is in trauma surgery on the human side. Give them a chance to survive," Winker said."

The K-9 was seriously injured.

"D'Jango underwent two surgeries, but veterinarians determined his leg couldn't be saved. Cusimano said he wondered if D'Jango would make it. "His eyes told me, 'I got this,'" he said. Police departments from the area kept vigil for D'Jango at the hospital, sitting outside his kennel and in the hallway 24 hours a day, just like they do for injured human officers. Because of his injuries, D'Jango will likely be retired from service. On Saturday, he went home with Cusimano, just like he did every night before. Only when he tried to jump in the back of the police vehicle, he needed a little help from his partner."

No longer.

No justice.  In follow up to a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, NBC News reports:

"A former Florida police officer who fatally shot a 73-year-old retired librarian during a demonstration for the public in 2016 will not serve jail time."

Nazi justice.  No equal treatment.

"Then-officer Lee Coel was performing in a "shoot/don't shoot" exercise with the Punta Gorda Police Department in the summer of 2016 when he shot Mary Knowlton, who had volunteered to participate. She was struck by the fatal bullet in front of about three dozen people, including Knowlton's husband of 55 years, who were at the citizen police academy watching the drill about police use of firearms. Then-police chief Tom Lewis said at the time that the revolver Coel fired had been used in previous exercises. The gun was loaded with bullets instead of blanks."

How does this happen? How?

"Coel, who was charged the following year with felony manslaughter with a firearm, accepted a plea deal this week, sparing him from serving jail time, according to NBC affiliate WBBH. The deal stipulates that he spend 10 years on probation. He had faced up to 30 years in prison and a $10,000 fine."

No justice.  No equal treatment.  This bastard has literally gotten away with murder.

"Coel, who joined the Punta Gorda Police Department in 2014, was fired shortly after he was charged. He was investigated by internal affairs and retrained after an October 2015 arrest during which a man was mauled by his police dog for at least two minutes. The incident was caught on dashcam video and went viral."

Jesus Christ.  Gets worse.  Get this:

"He had also been asked to resign in 2013 from a previous job with the Miramar Police Department in Florida for "failure to satisfactorily complete agency field training program." He wrote in his Punta Gorda application that he had been “found to have committed two simple policy violations" after he was hit with two “excessive use of force complaints” that were later deemed unfounded."

No justice.  ... Hear the rumble?

"The family of Knowlton, a retired librarian and mother of two grown sons, received a more than $2 million settlement, approved by the Punta Gorda City Council."

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Needed to do prison time.

"Lewis, who had said he held himself "100 percent accountable” for the shooting, was charged with culpable negligence and found not guilty in 2017."

Jesus Christ.  Double standard.  Criminal officers, --protected and coddled.  ... Hear the rumble?

No justice.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

More of the same old bullshit.  CBS News reports:

"A Kissimmee, Florida, police officer who pushed a suspect off of a roof in March has now received his punishment from the department: An eight-hour suspension from the force, which he fulfilled by forfeiting a vacation day."

LOL.  Jesus Christ.  Give me a break.  Incredible.  When will these clueless bastards finally wake up?  Smarten up?  These guys are idiots.

"Officer Plenio Massiah and Sgt. Anthony Amada were among the several officers who responded to a call about a stolen car, CBS Orlando affiliate WKMG reports. A woman called the cops alleging her ex-boyfriend, Yadiel Torres, took her car during an argument, according to a police report on the incident. Massiah's body camera footage captured his fellow officer below, telling him to push the suspect off the roof."

... Not that their victim was a choir boy:

"The woman said Torres was known to be armed, and when officers arrived at the scene, Torres fled his home. He climbed out of a window and onto the roof, where Massiah followed him. Massiah told Torres to put his hands up and as he was about to cuff him, Torres ran. Body camera footage shows Torres sitting on the the roof, dangling his legs over the side. Officers looked up at him from the ground below. In the body camera footage, Massiah is heard telling Torres he has no choice but to jump. Torres said he was not going anywhere. Then, an officer below tells Massiah to "just push him off." "Push him off," Sgt. Amada is heard saying. Massiah took the suggestion, putting his hand on Torres' shoulder and shoving him off the 9-foot high roof onto the ground. Amada and another officer were waiting on the ground below, and records show Amada used a taser on Torres."

These guys are idiots.  Have no business in law enforcement.  Where's the professionalism?  Just because they're attempting to arrest an idiot does not grant carte blanche to be idiots themselves.

"I'm down. I'm not resisting," Torres is heard saying as the taser was deployed. The suspect was not injured in the incident, which was made public with the recent release of the body camera footage. After a nearly eight-month investigation, Massiah was found to have violated the use of force policy. He was issued an eight-hour suspension. He fulfilled this by forfeiting a vacation day, WKMG reports. Amada was also found to have violated policies regarding force and carelessness and it was recommended he be terminated. He resigned in June, according to the station."

Gulags.  ABC News reports:

"For asylum-seeker Miguel Angel Giron Martinez, getting to the U.S. border was the easy part. It was the eight months afterward that he says was a nightmare. In an interview with ABC News, Giron Martinez -- a 23-year-old student activist from Honduras who had his life threatened by the government -- claimed that he was kept in cramped conditions where men lined up for hours to use one of only three showers and was bounced around to different facilities in what he described as "endless detention."

Trump's Fourth Reich.  Nazi America.

"At one point, he says he suffered a botched dental surgery in U.S. custody that was so painful he had no choice but to later extract part of the tooth himself, using only toilet paper to stop the bleeding. Giron Martinez is one of several named plaintiffs seeking injunctive relief and class certification in a lawsuit against Kevin McAleenan, the former acting director of the Department of Homeland Security who stepped down last week, the acting director of ICE, Matthew Albence, and two other ICE officials."

The bastards responsible need to be prosecuted.

"The plaintiffs claim in the suit, which is ongoing in Washington, D.C. federal court, that the New Orleans field office of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has failed to follow agency directives for parole -- temporary release for those who have a "credible fear of persecution or torture" -- and instead have subjected them to indefinite detention "in remote immigration jails across the Deep South" despite satisfying the grounds for release, according to the complaint."

We've lost our country.  We have ourselves to blame.  We tolerate it.  Remain gutlessly silent.

"Giron Martinez claimed he was repeatedly denied parole despite being an ideal candidate; he had no criminal history, had a U.S. citizen willing to sponsor him, and was not considered to be a flight risk, according to his lawyers. He has since been granted asylum in the United States."

What took so long?  At what price?

"But some immigration lawyers say the harrowing details of Giron Martinez’s story raise serious questions about the U.S. treatment of asylum seekers. They say it highlights how unfair it is to deny parole to detainees who have no criminal history, who do not pose a flight risk, and should, under ICE's own parole directive, be granted parole."

Founders?  Spinning in their graves.  Wouldn't recognize the country they spawned.  Readers are reminded our UNDOCUMENTED forbears arrived in this continent centuries ago, STOLE it from its native inhabitants, THEN broke every goddamned treaty signed.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

No justice.  ABC News reports:

"After a police officer fatally shoots someone, it can take days or even weeks before the public or his supervisors hear the officer's version of what happened."

Goddamned outrageous.  Time distorts memory.  Worse, gives a criminal jackbooted bastard in blue time to concoct a bullshit story.

"In many states, that so-called cooling off period is carved out in state law or in a police department's contract. That opportunity to take some time before undergoing questioning by investigators angers community activists and others seeking reforms of police departments around the country who believe it gives officers time to reshape their story to justify a shooting and avoid getting fired or charged. Law enforcement officials and experts say officers need to be able to collect their thoughts, so they don't provide details that are tainted by the trauma of the shooting."

That's bullshit.  What they're doing is protecting and coddling criminal officers.  Giving them a chance to create a false narrative to cover their criminal asses.  The same 'courtesy' is certainly not extended to someone who kills a murderous cop in self-defense.

"We laud police in this society as our protectors and purveyors of justice, and we hold them with such high regard, but when it comes to getting a statement when they have killed one of us, they are held to a lower standard than if we killed one of them," said Pamela Young, lead organizer for the Tarrant County Coalition for Community Oversight in Michigan. "It's nonsensical."

Worse?  An example of nazi justice.  A double standard craftily engineered to protect and coddle a murderous officer.

"More than a dozen states have what are called Law Enforcement Officers' Bill of Rights carved into law."

That is, the 'right' to murder, violently assault, and abuse on the job.  With virtual impunity.  Nazi justice.

"Other states, especially those with unions, have similar protections as part of negotiated contracts. The amount of time afforded officers before they are questioned varies — as short as 24 hours to up to two weeks. The grace period dates back in most places to the 1970s and has periodically been questioned in police-use-of-force cases, with watchdogs and community activists considering it another example of the thin blue line rallying around one of its own."

Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in law enforcement.  Ironically, this places officers in danger.  Increases the risk.  Needlessly, stupidly so.

Worse?  Get this:

"It's difficult to say if the lag time has allowed officers to avoid arrest or conviction, especially because the courts grant police more leeway in using deadly force than the general public."

That's a problem.  A big problem.  Contributes to the distrust.  Exposes good officers to additional danger on the job.  Aggressive stupidity at its very worst.  Endangers not only good officers, but the public as  well.  At best, achingly counterproductive.  At worst, deadly.

"Bob Bennett, an attorney in Minnesota who represented the family of Justine Ruszczyk Damond, who was fatally shot by Noor, decried what he called special treatment being given officers. Not only are they given extra time before undergoing questioning, but often they are allowed to consult with a union representative or an attorney beforehand. "A lot can be learned in five or six days and a lot can be polished and sanded," Bennett said."

Obstructs justice.  Intentionally.  To protect the jackbooted bastards.

"Of course the critics and the people who don't trust the police say, 'Yeah, they need time to get their story together,'" said Tom Manger, a retired police chief in Virginia and Maryland. "Having some time to calm down and get your thoughts together ... oftentimes, you get clearer answers and better information." Bennett doesn't buy it, saying if it's good enough for an officer, it should be fair to treat civilians the same way."

That's right.  Equal treatment.  Not special treatment as accorded the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue for decades.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"Why are police, who are professionally trained to observe, to record material, to accurately and completely record all the material and facts of an incident, why are they excused from rendering their report and statement in the same timeframe as untrained, unprofessional witnesses are?"

Good question.  Why special treatment?  ... Other than to protect the jackbooted criminals in blue?

"Jim Pasco, executive director of the Fraternal Order of Police, which represents about 330,000 officers nationally, called the gap in time something available to the general public as well as officers."

That's bullshit.  Outrageously, untrue.  Don't immediately talk to a jackbooted bastard, get hauled to jail.  How things work in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.

"There are an awful lot of misconceptions. First of all, anyone who's being interviewed by the police with the potential for being charged has a right to decline to say anything. The difference is that police officers at every level decline to testify at the peril of losing their jobs whether they're guilty or innocent," he said."

That's also bullshit.  Have plenty of time to access legal counsel well before getting fired.  -- If they're ever fired at all.  Most are not.  Hopefully, will change as more and more of this shit sees the light of day.  Wake up, sir.  Need to tell the truth, Mr. Pasco, instead of lying like hell, distorting reality to protect and coddle the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue you gutlessly represent.

"Police officers don't give up their civil and constitutional rights at the police station door."

No one says they do, fool. Wake up.  You bastards are murdering innocent, unarmed civilians with near impunity.  Usually, never get charged with anything.  That's a problem.  A big problem.  ... Hear the rumble?

"It isn't like 'Law & Order' where they get into a shootout and then go out for a beer. It isn't like that at all. These officers suffer sometimes for the rest of their lives just by virtue of being involved."

Wake up.  No one is saying it is.  No question, there are officers who have done their jobs properly.  Have rightfully killed someone in their capacity as an officer.  Suffer from post traumatic stress.  We're not talking about these officers, Mr. Pasco.  We're talking about those who have murdered innocent civilians with virtual impunity.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

No equal treatment.  NBC News reports:

"After admitting to the mayor that he had "a couple of drinks" before he was found asleep behind the wheel of his car early Thursday morning, Chicago's police superintendent has asked for an internal investigation into the situation, according to police and a published report."

He was not administered a field sobriety test, nor a breathalyzer.  Why not?  Had he not been top brass, think he would have been allowed to skate?

"Mayor Lori Lightfoot told the Chicago Sun-Times on Friday that Superintendent Eddie Johnson told her "a couple of drinks with dinner" before the incident and that he had recently changed medication he was taking."

Has a blood pressure problem.  Why was he drinking in the first place?

"She told the newspaper that she was waiting for the results of the investigation before deciding whether to take any action. "While we have no indication of impropriety at this time, this question can only be answered by the internal affairs investigation," the Chicago Police Department said in a statement Friday."

Bullshit.  How can they credibly investigate themselves?

"Police told NBC Chicago that it could not comment on the reported admission of drinking or comment on the matter because of the pending internal investigation, which Johnson called for."

Convenient, isn't it?  Fox guarding the chicken coop.  No credibility.  Precisely, why law enforcement cannot be trusted.  Zero credibility.  Lie to protect their own.

"Johnson told reporters Thursday that he began feeling lightheaded while driving himself home from dinner with friends and he pulled over and parked around 12:30 a.m. A passing motorist noticed him and called 911. Chicago police said in a statement Thursday that when officers arrived on scene, they checked Johnson’s well-being and "did not observe any signs of impairment," NBC Chicago reported. Johnson was a few blocks from his home."

Passed out close to home?  Give me a break.

"Johnson was diagnosed decades ago with a kidney condition and had a transplant, and earlier this year he was hospitalized for a blood clot, the Associated Press reported. Johnson said Thursday that he had visited his cardiologist earlier in the week to follow up about a blood clot he had earlier this summer and that his doctor replaced his blood pressure medication. "When he adjusted my medication, I took the old medication out for high blood pressure but I failed to put the new medication in," Johnson said. He did not mention consuming any alcoholic drinks at that time."

Makes no sense.  Someone with all his medical issues, including a blood pressure problem, was likely advised not to drink.

"Johnson said that he was examined by responding officers, but that a breathalyzer test was not administered at the scene, according to NBC Chicago."

Why would it have been?  Law enforcement takes care of its own.  Forget?  This was the top law enforcement officer in Chicago.  No equal justice.  Justice? What's that?

"Johnson ordered an internal investigation into the incident and cited the need for transparency, according to NBC Chicago. "All officers ought to be held to the highest standard," he said through a spokesperson Thursday."

Crock of shit.  No credibility.  Gets worse:

"When I take medication, sometimes it has side effects. I know from my parents. So, I take him at his word," Lightfoot told the Chicago-Sun Times. But she added that "the investigation will sort out the details."

Jesus Christ.  Give me a break.  Why the hell was he drinking while on medication? Did you ask him?

"The investigation into Johnson will be handled by the public integrity unit within the department's internal affairs division, police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said Friday, according to the Associated Press. That unit is comprised of officers who are detailed to the FBI and work out of the FBI's Chicago office."

No credibility.  None.  Fox guarding the chicken coop.

"If they have any sense that there was any impropriety, they would refer the case to outside investigative agencies," Guglielmi added."

Rings hollow.  A ruse.  Charade.  No credibility.  Rubber stamp.  No justice.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

The following is an example of precisely how dysfunctional the educational system has determinedly, concertedly become.  Incomprehensibly ass backwards.  NBC News reports:

"A black security officer at a Wisconsin high school was fired for telling a student who is also black to stop calling him the N-word."

Re-read the above quote.  Incredible, isn't it?

"The firing of Marlon Anderson from West High School in Madison prompted some students to walk out in protest Friday morning and for school officials to say they will reexamine policies on the use of racial slurs in schools."

What could they possibly been thinking having fired this officer in the first place?

"Anderson told NBC News on Friday that after a black student repeatedly called him a n-----, he asked the student last week to stop. Marlon Anderson was fired from West High School in Madison, Wis., for telling an unruly student who called him the N-word several times not to call him the racial slur. This week, Anderson said he learned that school officials terminated his employment, citing a zero tolerance policy on the use of derogatory language by staff members."

Jesus Christ.  Give me a break.  Gets fired for simply telling the kid not to call him the n-word?  Incomprehensible.  Aggressive stupidity at its very worst.

"My understanding of the policy was white staff shouldn’t use the N-word under any circumstances," Anderson said. "But I had no idea me being called the word and me telling the student not to call me the word would get me fired."

A black officer.  A black kid.

"Anderson said he worked in the Madison Metropolitan School District for 11 years and at West High School for 3½ years."

Certainly, had quite a bit of experience.  To say nothing of abundant self-control during the incident.

"Anderson shared the news of his firing in a Facebook post Wednesday. "Short story.... I get called a b---- ass n---- by a student, I responded do 'not call me a n----!' And I got fired," he wrote, adding that the district's response had surprised him."

Understatement.

"Madison Teachers Incorporated, the union that represents teachers and support staff, said it filed a grievance Thursday seeking Anderson's reinstatement with full back pay. Students at the high school held a walkout Friday morning in support of Anderson and marched to the district's administrative building. Videos posted to social media showed that teachers at the school also joined the walkout. Anderson's son, Noah, 17, who is the president of the black student union, helped lead the protest."

These achingly clueless assholes still don't 'get it':

"The school board president said officials would review the district's policies. "We've taken a tough stance on racial slurs, and we believe that language has no place in schools," the board president, Gloria Reyes, said in a statement. The board will review its "underlying policies, and examine them with a racial equity lens understanding that universal policies can often deepen inequities," the statement said. "We will ask the community for help in that process."

Give me a break.  Ludicrous.  Bullshit parsing of language:

"District Superintendent Jane Belmore told NBC News in a statement Friday that since the incident occurred, "different viewpoints from many facets of our community are surfacing." “Let me be clear, there is no doubt that language matters and racial slurs are harmful," Belmore said. "However, at this point, we have an opportunity to look more deeply into the response to the use of racial slurs in our schools." The superintendent added that the district will act as quickly as possible on the appeal process for Anderson."

Have these clueless bastards lost the ability to think?

"Anderson's Facebook post drew hundreds of comments of support, including from some who said they are former students and that Anderson had helped them feel safe. Anderson said the response on social media and from the community have been overwhelming. "It got me a little emotional, because to be honest, you don’t get that type of response from people until you’re in a casket," he said Friday. "But I had the opportunity to hear the effect that I’ve had on people’s lives."

You don't fire an officer or anyone else for that matter for telling a kid not to call him the n-word.  What was this officer supposed to do?  Ignore the expletive?

The Washington Post reports:

"Anderson, who did not immediately respond to a request for comment, said many students have used the n-word against him in his 11 years with the district, and he has always explained its history and meaning. He’s determined to get his job back. “At the end of the day, I feel I was being called a derogatory term and I don’t want to be called that because my mother, my father, my grandparents — they were called this word and could not say, ‘Don’t call me that,’” Anderson told the Journal Sentinel. “I’m the first generation in my family who can literally look you in the eye and say don’t call me that word. I don’t think it’s fair to try to take that from me.”

No question.

"Even Cher weighed in, offering on Twitter to cover Anderson’s legal fees should he decide to sue the district.

"How Can Ppl Be This Disrespectful??A Beloved,Man of Color Just Passed,& Our Nations Mourning Him.Cong.Elijah Cummings FOUGHT FOR JUSTICE.He Was loved & Feared. If You Want To sue MMSD Ed.Board I Will Incur Your expenses. EC
    — Cher (@cher) October 18, 2019

"The incident that led to Anderson’s firing happened on Oct. 9. Anderson told the Journal Sentinel he was escorting an unruly student out of West High School when the student began lobbing the n-word at him. “Every type of n-word you can think of, that’s what he was calling me,” he said. “I said, do not call me that name. I’m not your n-word. Do not call me that.”

Had every right to stand up to this kid.

"Outrage over Anderson’s firing built quickly. A petition calling for his reinstatement went up Thursday on Change.org, drawing thousands of signatures. Supporters wrote that Anderson “made connections with students that will never be forgotten” and that his termination is “absurd.” Madison Teachers Incorporated, the local teachers union, said it had filed a grievance on his behalf, seeking his reinstatement with back pay. In the meantime, Anderson’s co-workers at West High School set up a fundraiser for his family on GoFundMe. “In a school of over 2,300 students and 200 staff, Marlon has the desire and uncanny ability to remember every single person’s name,” they wrote in the fundraiser’s description. “He can read what each person needs with a simple look, and generously fills that need with love: a kind word, a silly song, a loving-but-firm warning.” Michelle Bayouth, the teacher who started the GoFundMe, called Anderson’s firing an “injustice.” While the zero-tolerance policy was well-intended, she said, its use in the security guard’s case was hurting students. At school, she had seen one student crying over the sudden departure. “He’s an angel for so many of our students,” Bayouth said. “He’s not just a security guard. He’s the one that’s getting our kids into their classrooms. We can’t teach them if they don’t get into school.”

Exacerbating the injustice:

"Anderson, who is insulin dependent and worried about the loss of his health insurance, watched the protest unfold on social media. On his Facebook page, he wrote that he had cried so much “my head lost weight.” “I am overwhelmed by the love,” he continued. “When I get back I will personally walk everybody to class ON TIME!”

CBS News reports:

"Marlon Anderson, a 48-year-old black security guard at a Wisconsin high school, was fired for repeating the N-word. He said he used it in order to tell a student not to say it. The student, who is also black, called Anderson the slur along with a number of other expletives. "I made a conscious decision to address the word because it is an epidemic," Anderson told CBS News affiliate WISC. "Our kids use it every day." He also questioned how he could be fired for standing up for himself. "I just don't understand getting fired for trying to defend yourself," said Anderson, who worked for the district for 11 years. "As a black man, I have a right not to be called that word." Anderson said he had been called the slur by students before, and typically uses those conversations as teachable moments to explain the history, context and meaning of the slur, WISC reported. He and the Anderson and the Madison teachers' union filed a grievance seeking his job back."

ABC News reports:

"The school fired Anderson on Wednesday, but the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County hired him and he's starting Monday. "I didn't have an opportunity to be mad, scared, worried or anything. I just got hit with a busload of love," Anderson said."

ACLU steps up.  ABC News reports:

"A civil rights group is asking state motor vehicle agencies across the U.S. to reject a request from the U.S. Census Bureau for drivers' license records, saying it is part of a scheme to reduce the political power of minority groups."

Worse, than that?  Will make it far easier for federal authorities to harass innocent civilians it doesn't like.

"The American Civil Liberties Union on Thursday said in a statement that the Census Bureau should stop its efforts to gather state drivers' license information."

Not good enough.  Sue the living shit out of the bastards.

"The ACLU was among several groups challenging the Trump administration's efforts to add a citizenship question to the 2020 Census. After the U.S. Supreme Court blocked the question from being added, President Donald Trump in July issued an executive order asking for citizenship data to be gathered through administrative records. The Census Bureau this week acknowledged their request was in response to the order."

No more than a pernicious end-run-around a Supreme Court ruling against the Trump nazi and his henchmen.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

A chink in the armor.  CBS News reports:

"Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the leading critics of President Trump's drawdown of U.S. troops from Syria, has a message for Mr. Trump, which he delivered from the Senate Thursday.  "If you continue on the course you're on, you will have brought a lot of damage to the nation, you'll abandon a valuable ally, set in motion the re-emergence of ISIS, and Mr. President, as much as I like you and want to work with you, I am going to be consistent," he said, quietly adding, "I will hold you accountable."

Some measure of sanity returns to the Senator.  ... Who'd 'a 'thunk' it?  LOL.

"The South Carolina senator stood alongside senators of both parties, including Chris Van Hollen, Marsha Blackburn and Jeanne Shaheen, and introduced legislation that would impose further sanctions on Turkey over its invasion into northern Syria. The sanctions would target top Turkish officials and take a "deep dive" into the Turkish president's own finances. Congress would also restrict visa access to Turkey.

"While Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are in Ankara trying to push for a ceasefire in northern Syria, there is active fighting on the battlefield, CBS News' Charlie D'Agata reported Thursday."

CBS News reports:

"The Trump administration is making its strongest push yet for a ceasefire in northern Syria. Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo sat down with Turkish President Erdogan Thursday morning in Turkey's capital, Ankara. They're trying to convince Turkey to halt its military operation against the Kurds. But Retired Admiral Sandy Winnefeld, a CBS News military and homeland security analyst and former vice-chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said even if they manage to attain a ceasefire, which Turkey has so far refused, there are several other problems at the strategic level with the situation."

It'll never be the same.  All the effort, all the treasure, all the loss of life.  All for nothing.

"It's going to be difficult to fix this. It's essentially irreversible," Winnefeld told "CBS This Morning." "Because the territory that we're leaving is very rapidly going to be filled in by Syrian forces that are supported by Iranians and Russians. And the Kurds have switched their alliance over— over to that. So it's essentially irreversible."

Trump is an idiot.  Unfit.  Out to lunch.

"Winnefeld said even if the U.S. sent troops back to the region, the ground they had gained would be gone. "I don't think that we'll send troops back in unless perhaps there were a major terrorist attack against the United States or a close ally," Winnefeld said. "That ground is gone now. We handed it over for free."

That's right.  At the whim of the idiot in the Oval Office.

"In the wake of his authorization to pull U.S. troops from Syria, President Trump has said Americans don't belong in the region's conflicts and that the Kurds are actually safer now. Winnefeld had other thoughts."

Trump has no grasp on reality:

"Several hundred Kurds, I think, have been killed in the last few days in the initial phases of this incursion. I don't believe that I can credibly say that the Kurds are safer now," Winnefeld said."

Trump's head remains figuratively, securely lodged up a bodily orifice:

"Mr. Trump also said repeatedly Wednesday the Kurds were "not angels." In response to that, Winnefeld cited the Kurds' history with the United States. "We began our closest relationship with them in 1991 when we sent them humanitarian aid after the first Gulf War, and they never forgot that," Winnefeld said. "They've been very loyal allies and friends since, have supported us in numerous operations in Iraq. And now they've been fighting and dying to the tune of 11,000 Kurds who have essentially been working on the ground against ISIS, who is a sworn enemy of the United States."

Trump betrayed an ally.

NPR reports:

"U.S. Vice President Mike Pence says he's reached a deal with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to suspend the Turkish incursion into northern Syria, amid international outcry over the growing humanitarian and security crisis. Pence told reporters that Erdogan has agreed to a ceasefire of 120 hours to allow for the withdrawal of Kurdish YPG forces, which have been working with the U.S. in the fight against ISIS. The Kurdish forces will withdraw from a "safe zone" along the Turkish border with Syria that is about 20 miles wide, Pence said. The Turkish operation "will be halted entirely on completion of the withdrawal," Pence said."

Think so?

"The U.S. had imposed some limited sanctions on Turkish officials. Pence stated that with the implementation of the ceasefire, the U.S. would not impose any further sanctions on Turkey. And he added that "once a permanent ceasefire is in effect, the president has agreed to withdraw the economic sanctions that were imposed this last Monday."

Trump creates the crisis, then delusionally believes he's found a solution.  Laughable.  How many have already paid for this fiasco with their lives?  How many more will be lost before this is resolved?

"The House passed a denunciation of the U.S. troop withdrawal in a resounding 354-60 vote on Wednesday. Likewise, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Thursday that "my preference would be for something even stronger than the resolution the House passed." McConnell had previously said that he is "gravely concerned by recent events in Syria and by our nation's apparent response thus far." Since U.S. troops withdrew from northern Syria, Kurdish forces seeking protection have formed an alliance with troops from the Syrian regime."

The worst is yet to come.

The Washington Post reports:

"Sporadic fighting continued Friday in a Syrian border town, less than 12 hours after Turkey agreed to halt its offensive against Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria in a deal brokered by the United States. Smoke could be seen rising from the town, Ras al-Ayn, in footage broadcast by CNN early Friday. Journalists for the Associated Press reported shelling and the sound of gunfire. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces “is committed to the cease-fire, but the [Turkish-backed] factions and the Turkish army are targeting SDF positions, especially Ras al-Ayn hospital,” a spokesman for the SDF said."

The Turkish dictator remains a liar:

"Speaking to journalists outside a mosque where he performed Friday prayers in Istanbul, Erdogan said Turkish forces will not be leaving the agreed-upon safe zone, which he said is 32 kilometers deep and 444 kilometers long (20 miles by 276 miles). He said he will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, the fifth and last day of the cease-fire. Erdogan added that no clashes are occurring in the area anymore, despite witness accounts to the contrary. The National Army, a Turkish-backed umbrella group that united Syrian rebel factions ahead of the offensive, also denied that there was any fighting or shelling in Ras al-Ayn."

Expect them not to lie?  LOL.

"A civilian near Ras al-Ayn said the bombardment continued through the night and into Friday morning. “There have been no airstrikes so far, but neither the bombardment nor the clashes have ceased,” he said in a telephone interview, declining to give his name for security reasons. “We are among the few dozens of families that have stayed in the area, but we have our car ready and we may still leave, despite the cease-fire.” He said most residents had already fled, adding, “I don’t think they are going to come back.” “Turkey’s goal is clear: to empty the area from its inhabitants and then replace them with refugees originally from other parts of Syria,” the civilian said.  “We cannot trust any deal that doesn’t make the so-called National Army leave the area,” he said. “How are we supposed to live with those who conspired against us and stabbed us in the back?”

Trump's precipitous withdrawal of U.S. forces triggered the latest crisis, loss of life, massive carnage.  Certainly exacerbated problems there and in the region.  Our fuhrer is a clueless fool.  An idiot.

NBC News reports:

"President Donald Trump presented Thursday’s U.S.-brokered deal with Turkey — which despite sporadic gunfire has paused fighting in northeast Syria — as “a great day for civilization." But in foreign policy circles it is being widely framed as a capitulation to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and a further gift to Syria’s Bashar al-Assad and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Trump administration, after a whirlwind visit to Ankara by Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, appeared to have handed Erdogan an emphatic victory by agreeing to his so-called safe-zone — a demilitarized area along Syria’s border where Turkey wants Kurdish refugees to live and which has been a longstanding Erdogan objective. The implications for America's standing on the world stage remain unclear but the blow to its reputation as a power that defends its allies is likely to be significant. “It is capitulation, it’s that simple,” said Fawaz Gerges, a professor of Middle Eastern politics at the London School of Economics. “Trump may celebrate this as the deal of the century, but it reaffirms the humiliation of the Trump administration and its betrayal of the Kurds, its loyal allies.” “He’s emasculated U.S. foreign policy,” he added."

Trump is unfit for office.  When will Republicans wake up?  He's doing irreparable damage to our formerly great country.  To say nothing of the Republican Party.

"Trump’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops from northeastern Syria and to move out of the way of a Turkish invasion on Oct. 9 has been met with sustained bipartisan criticism at home."

Rightfully, so.

"His uncertainty on the issue may have made things worse. On Wednesday, he claimed the conflict was over land that “has nothing to do with us,” distancing the U.S. from Middle East affairs. He was taking American soldiers out of a dangerous region, he said. But on Thursday, Trump was claiming credit for the agreement and recasting the U.S. as a major powerbroker in the region. “Everybody agreed to things that three days ago they would have never agreed to,” he told reporters. “That includes the Kurds. The Kurds are now much more inclined to do what has to be done. Turkey is much more inclined to do what has to be done.”

That's insanity.  Simply, untrue.  Not reality.

Gets worse.  Get this:

"Then during a campaign rally in Texas on Thursday night, Trump said that “sometimes you have to let them fight, like two kids in a lot, you got to let them fight and then you pull them apart.”

Clearly, Trump has no clue.  Massive failure in leadership.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

Aryan arrogance of a narcissistic, fascist dictator at its very worst.  Trump is lining his pockets off the presidency.  The Washington Post reports:

"President Trump has awarded the 2020 Group of Seven summit of world leaders to his private company, scheduling the summit for June at his Trump Doral golf resort outside Miami, the White House announced Thursday."

Convenient, isn't it?  Nothing quite like lining your pockets off the trappings of office.

"That decision is without precedent in modern American history: The president used his public office to direct a massive contract to himself. The G-7 summit draws hundreds of diplomats, journalists and security personnel and provides a worldwide spotlight."

Outright corruption.

"The announcement that the president’s club would host the international summit comes as Trump is in the midst of twin crises that are consuming his presidency — a hasty and confused American retreat in Syria and a growing impeachment inquiry in Congress."

Not only is Trump corrupt, he's unfit for office.

"Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney, who announced the decision, said the administration was not worried about the appearance of a conflict of interest, while he touted what the president’s resort has to offer."

Day is night, night is day, and shit smells perversely sweet in the perverse universe of our fuhrer, the Trump nazi, and his henchmen.

"The choice of Doral was denounced by good-government groups on Thursday, including Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. That group filed suit against Trump for allegedly violating the Constitution’s “emoluments clause,” which prohibits presidents from taking payments from foreign governments."

The suits drag on in court.  The Constitution is clear.  Time for the judiciary to act.

“This is unbelievable. Given the potential consequences the president is facing for abusing the presidency for his own gain, we would have thought he would steer clear of blatant corruption at least temporarily; instead he has doubled down on it,” the group said in a statement. “The president is now officially using the power of his office to help prop up his struggling golf business.”

Expect any better of a narcissistic, national socialist, fascist dictator?

Subsequent to the above, Trump succumbed to enormous resistance from both major political parties, canceling plans to host the G-7 Summit at Doral:

The Washington Post reports:

"President Trump was forced to abandon his decision to host next year’s Group of Seven summit at his private golf club after it became clear the move had alienated Republicans and swiftly become part of the impeachment inquiry that threatens his presidency. In a round of phone calls with conservative allies this weekend, Trump was told Republicans are struggling to defend him on so many fronts, according to an administration official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal matters."

Imagine having to repeatedly defend the indefensible.

"Democrats, meanwhile, continued to blast Trump for awarding the massive government contract to his own company and said they might add the alleged “emoluments” violation to the articles of impeachment they are preparing."

Here's the problem.  Doesn't your heart bleed?  LOL.  Get this:

"Trump’s prized Doral resort is in steep decline, according to company documents, showing his business problems are mounting. The White House has been struggling to explain Trump’s G-7 decision since it was announced Thursday. The president’s opponents quickly seized on it as another example of Trump abusing his office for personal gain. Even many Republicans seemed reluctant to offer political cover."

The Trump-Ukraine fiasco remains front and center.  The Washington Post reports:

"Over two weeks of closed-door testimony, a clear portrait has emerged of a president personally orchestrating the effort to pressure a foreign government to dig up dirt on a potential 2020 political rival — and marshaling the full resources of the federal bureaucracy to help in that endeavor."

Certainly, true.

"On Thursday, acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney waded further into the morass, saying during a rare news conference that he understood Trump to be asking for a quid pro quo with his Ukrainian counterpart — only to attempt to retract those comments in a bellicose statement six hours later. “We do — we do that all the time with foreign policy,” Mulvaney said when asked about a quid pro quo during the news conference, adding moments later: “And I have news for everybody: Get over it. There’s going to be political influence in foreign policy.”

Goes far deeper than that.

"Contrary to weeks of denials from the president and his defenders, a growing body of evidence makes clear it was Trump himself who repeatedly pushed his own government and a foreign power to intervene in domestic political concerns, enlisting and ensnaring a growing number of administration officials in a way that increasingly made even some members of his own team uncomfortable."

Certainly, appears to be a deliberate, concerted, carefully orchestrated, determined breaking of federal law.

"The wave of witnesses reflects the growing peril enveloping Trump amid the burgeoning inquiry, which he and some top aides have tried to block by refusing to abide by congressional subpoenas. Not only are a growing number of officials and longtime employees choosing to come forward with damaging evidence, the narrative they are laying out points to potential violations of law, including prohibitions on accepting campaign help from a foreign entity, that bolster the case for impeachment."

This is certainly a criminal matter.  Yet, no criminal investigation by Trump's bought and paid for 'Justice' Department, -- and a U.S. Attorney General who has clearly abrogated his oath of office to uphold the Constitution and rule of law.

"The prepared testimony Thursday of Gordon Sondland, Trump’s ambassador to the European Union, showed how deeply the president involved himself in the Ukraine negotiations that are the focus of the inquiry, and the extent to which he outsourced Ukraine policy to his personal attorney Rudolph W. Giuliani. “I would not have recommended that Mr. Giuliani or any private citizen be involved in these foreign policy matters,” Sondland said, according to his prepared remarks."

Here's the problem:

"Yet despite his discomfort, Sondland said that because he and his team had been “given the president’s explicit direction,” the group “agreed to do as President Trump directed” and involved Giuliani in the ongoing Ukraine discussions."

Gutless.  Should have courageously resigned in protest.  Blew the whistle.

"At the core of the impeachment inquiry is Trump’s request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky — while the United States was withholding nearly $400 million in aid to Ukraine — for “a favor” in the form of investigating former vice president Joe Biden and his son Hunter, as detailed in a rough transcript of a July 25 call between the two leaders that was released by the White House under public pressure. Sondland’s prepared remarks depict an atmosphere where diplomats at times felt trapped, torn between what they believed was right and the directives the president was issuing."

All the more reason to have done the right thing.  Resigned in protest.  Exposed this criminal activity for precisely what it is.  Where is your patriotism?  Moral compass?

"In an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, Energy Secretary Rick Perry also clarified just how adamant Trump was in ensuring that Giuliani be included in Ukraine discussions.  “Visit with Rudy,” Perry paraphrased the president as saying. Perry told the paper that after he contacted Trump’s personal attorney as part of an effort to facilitate a meeting between the president and Zelensky, Giuliani relayed to him unsubstantiated concerns that Ukraine — not Russia, as the U.S. intelligence community has concluded — had interfered in the 2016 presidential elections.  On Thursday, Perry notified Trump in writing that he planned to resign soon."

... Can't imagine why.  LOL.

"As early as May, Giuliani began publicly pushing theories involving Ukraine for which he had no reliable evidence. He urged, for instance, a corruption investigation into Hunter Biden, who sat on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company, while his father was vice president. So far, there is no evidence of any wrongdoing by Biden or his son. At the time, many viewed Giuliani’s efforts in Ukraine as something of a personal passion project — the extracurricular schemes of an aging lawyer whose behavior even some in Trump’s own orbit considered erratic. Now, however, as Giuliani has said himself and as a number of other witnesses have made clear, Giuliani was working at the behest of his client, the president of the United States."

Gets worse.  Get this:

"In rough notes released by the White House of Trump’s controversial call with Zelensky, the president seems to view Giuliani as almost interchangeable with Attorney General William P. Barr, telling Zelensky he hoped the Ukrainians could work with Giuliani and Barr to root out corruption there, including investigating the Bidens. Mulvaney, too, acted as an enabler, organizing a meeting in late May that stripped control of Ukraine policy from experts at the National Security Council and State Department. He reassigned control to Perry, Sondland and Kurt Volker, then the special U.S. envoy to Ukraine — a trio that called themselves “The Three Amigos.” Even those with fewer one-on-one interactions with Trump have offered testimony painting a picture of dysfunction at best — and malfeasance at worst — emanating from the president."

Walls certainly closing in.  Sad.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

For the first time, Speaker Pelosi stood up to the Trump nazi.  Stood tall.  The Washington Post reports:

"The now-famous photo captured House Speaker Nancy Pelosi standing up in the Cabinet Room, pointing her finger at a visibly angry President Trump, and, in her telling, questioning his loyalty to the country he leads. Why, she asked, did he withdraw U.S. troops from Syria — a geopolitical calculation that allowed a toehold in northern Syria for Russian President Vladimir Putin? Why, she asked with lawmakers and aides watching and a White House photographer snapping away, do “all roads lead to Putin?" With that, Pelosi (D-Calif.) told reporters Thursday, she left the White House meeting Wednesday. It was a staggering accusation from one constitutional officer to another, and it marked the moment that a relationship once marked by elements of mutual esteem finally shattered, after multiple heated confrontations, into absolute mutual disdain."

Hat's off, Madam Speaker.  About time.

"Trump called it an “unhinged meltdown.”

The hell it was.  She told it like it is.  Exposed you for precisely whom and what you are, Mr. 'President.'  Finally, stood tall.  Stood up to an idiot.  A bully.

"For Pelosi, it was a grave but considered rebuke."

Called the truth.

"Coming amid the high drama of congressional impeachment proceedings, the clash left Capitol Hill agog — thanks in no small part to the photograph that Trump quickly tweeted as evidence of a House speaker run amok."

The photo showed a standing Nancy Pelosi pointing a finger at her seated nazi fuhrer, letting it rip.  That is, telling it exactly as it was.  Truth to power.  Our gutless, clueless, hopelessly narcissistic fuhrer got his clock figuratively cleaned.  About time.

“The Do Nothing Democrats, Pelosi and Schumer stormed out of the Cabinet Room!” Trump tweeted hours later, referring to Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (N.Y.), who followed Pelosi out of the room. Other Republicans joined in the opprobrium Thursday. “I would not stand up in the Cabinet Room, in front of the president of any party, and shake my finger at them,” said Rep. Paul Mitchell (R-Mich.). “I don’t care how important you think you are. Conduct yourself with some level of dignity.”

She did.  You didn't.  You and your fellow Republicans remain gutlessly, hopelessly silent despite the blatant abuse of power and criminal activity of your fuhrer, the Trump nazi.  Other than complicit, what does that make you bastards?  'Patriots?'

"But Pelosi and her allies saw something very different: an unforgettable tableau of power being asserted, a lesson in checks and balances being taught in a royal blue pantsuit. Within hours, Pelosi had plastered the photo across her social media profiles."

Good for her.  Finally, rose to the occasion.

“She’s a woman of dignity and grace. ... He’s an eighth-grade bully,” said Rep. John B. Larson (D-Conn.), assessing the meeting. “I think it was appropriate that they got up and walked out when they’re facing childish behavior.”

No kidding.  -- Finally, something for wayward Democrats to be proud of.

"But unlike the past blowups, Wednesday’s meeting was set to be squarely focused on a matter of national, if not global security, with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff seated next to Trump and a pall of bipartisan concern hanging over the meeting. Barely an hour before it began, the House voted overwhelmingly to rebuke Trump’s decision to withdraw a small garrison of U.S. troops from northern Syria, paving the way for a Turkish campaign targeting the United States’ long-standing Kurdish allies. National security officials fear that the operation has led to the release of dozens of captives affiliated with the Islamic State terrorist group being held by the Kurds."

Imagine what the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff must have been thinking?

NBC News reports:

"Thanks to Donald Trump, American women have a fresh, iconic photo of Speaker Nancy Pelosi at the White House on Wednesday. There she is, the only woman at a table of two dozen men, standing up to object to what lawmakers confirm was Trump’s verbal abuse. Meanwhile, the white male power elite of the United States look down uneasily at their collective hands."

For damned good reason.  They know full well Trump is a hopelessly clueless idiot.  An embarrassment.

"In situations like this, as the only woman in a room full of men, Pelosi pushes all Trump’s buttons at once."

Certainly did.  With great effect.  Figuratively, kicked his sorry ass.  LOL.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

Plot thickens.  The Washington Post reports:

"President Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudolph W. Giuliani, pressed the Trump administration to grant a visa to a former Ukrainian official who had been removed from his job because of concerns he was not aggressively pursuing corruption cases, according to four U.S. officials familiar with the matter."

What could Giuliani possibly been thinking?  Where did he lose himself?  Forget?  He was a U.S. Attorney.  A product of a Jesuit education.  Apparently, lost his moral compass, ethical standards.

"But senior State Department officials denied the visa for Viktor Shokin, who had been booted as Ukraine’s top prosecutor in 2016 following pressure from the West, including from then-Vice President Joe Biden, the International Monetary Fund and the European Union, said the officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private deliberations. His visa was denied on corruption grounds, officials said."

At least some in the State Department are willing to stand tall.  Do the right thing.  Not thoroughly corrupted by the Trump nazi and his henchmen.

"Giuliani requested the visa around January this year, according to the testimony of George P. Kent, a career diplomat interviewed behind closed doors this week by three House committees conducting an impeachment inquiry into Trump over his dealings with Ukraine, said one of the officials. “One of the significant aspects of this was there was no debate about this anywhere in the Trump administration,” said the official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to describe a closed session. “Because it came from Giuliani, you can imagine it wasn’t just the desk officer making the decision.”

Fascinating, isn't it?  Frightening, as well.

"Indeed, a second official said, the decision to reject the visa was made by “the political leadership” of the State Department. Giuliani appealed to the White House, but the denial was not reversed, Kent said, according to officials. An attorney for Kent declined to comment."

Extraordinarily interesting, isn't it?  Begs the question what the hell is going on?  Who is truly running government?

"Giuliani told The Washington Post in a recent interview he was upset that Shokin couldn’t get a visa but declined to say whether he had anything to do with the effort. “He had people helping him,” he said. “I’m not going to tell you more than that.”

Why not, Rudy?  Whose ass are you covering, Counselor?  Your own?  The Trump nazi's?

"The revelation is the latest reflection of how Giuliani has sought to operate a shadow foreign policy from outside the government, attempting to sideline traditional policymakers — including political appointees — to achieve political goals favorable to the president."

That legal, Rudy?  Where did you lose yourself, Counselor?

"Giuliani has figured prominently in a campaign to pressure Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelensky, to take actions that would undermine Biden, a potential political rival of Trump in 2020. Those include Trump’s effort, revealed by a whistleblower in a complaint made public last month, in a July phone call to cajole Zelensky into reopening a dormant investigation into a Ukrainian energy company, Burisma, that Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, once sat on the board of."

Certainly appears that's the way things went down.  If so, these bastards broke federal law.  Forget?  It's illegal for a political incumbent to seek foreign interference in an American election.

"Shokin has aided Giuliani’s effort, alleging in an affidavit last month that the reason he was removed as prosecutor general — and the reason Biden wanted him gone — was that he was investigating Burisma for corruption."

Not true.  Been long-since debunked.

"In fact, U.S. and European officials have said that the investigation into Burisma was dormant at the time of his firing and that Shokin was generally not pursuing corruption aggressively and needed to be removed. Giuliani had also sought the removal of U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, who was recalled in May before her tour was over. Her ouster outraged many at the State Department, and Yovanovitch, who is on leave at Georgetown, testified last week that her departure came as a direct result of pressure Trump placed on the State Department."

Because she wouldn't play ball, refused to go along with the corruption.

"According to a rough transcript of Trump’s call with Zelensky, Trump also pressed the Ukrainian president to look into whether Ukraine had interfered in the 2016 election — apparently picking up on a widely discredited theory pushed by Giuliani that a computer server belonging to the Democratic Party was in Ukraine."

Congenital liar, just like his fuhrer, the Trump nazi.

"Trump dangled the prospect of hundreds of millions of dollars in military and foreign assistance and of a White House meeting as leverage in his conversation with Zelensky, according to the whistleblower and documents that have since corroborated the whistleblower’s account. On Thursday, acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney acknowledged in a news conference that Trump had in fact withheld nearly $400 million in aid because he wanted Ukraine to investigate Democrats. “Did [Trump] also mention to me in the past the corruption related to the DNC server?” Mulvaney said. “Absolutely, no question about that. But that’s it, and that’s why we held up the money.” Mulvaney backtracked later that day, saying there was no “quid pro quo.”

Told the truth, then backtracked.  LOL.  Jesus Christ.  Do these clueless bastards truly believe the public is that stupid?

"In an interview in late September, a Giuliani associate, Lev Parnas, said he had helped connect Giuliani to Shokin late last year, after learning that Giuliani was interested in Ukraine. Parnas was arrested last week along with a business partner, Igor Fruman, and charged with campaign finance violations. Parnas said in the interview with The Post, which took place prior to his arrest, that Giuliani had first invited Shokin to come to the United States for a meeting — a plan that was thwarted when Shokin learned the United States would not extend him a visa. Instead, Giuliani and Shokin spoke via Skype in January."

Where'd you lose yourself, Rudy?

"But Parnas said Giuliani had been upset when Shokin could not accept his invitation due to the visa issue. “He’s been here before. Never had a problem traveling. All of a sudden, he goes, buys a ticket, and our State Department denies the visa,” Parnas said. “That’s when the problems began. I’m not going to get into what transpired afterwards. But basically, it was looked into. State took a very serious approach, and until this day, his visa has not been approved.”

For damned good reason. Corruption.  What does that make you, Rudy?

"Parnas went on to say that he believed then-ambassador Yovanovitch had played a role in denying Shokin his visa — and that distress over that decision may have contributed to Giuliani’s support for efforts to remove her from her post. In his indictment last week, prosecutors alleged that Parnas had advocated for her ouster at the request of one or more Ukrainian government officials. “I think very much so,” he said, when asked if the ambassador had played a role in the visa denial. “That’s why I think the ambassador’s not there.”

You got it ass backwards.  Goes much further and deeper than that.  She challenged the corruption.  Wouldn't play ball with any of it.  For that, the Trump nazi recalled her.  Ferociously pointedly, what does that make our fuhrer, the Trump nazi?

Forget?  Get this:

"Officials stressed that the denial was made on the merits by senior State Department officials. “It was particularly galling that this guy was trying to come here,” said one official. “The department said no.”

For damned good reason.  ... At least some honor remains in the State Department.  Founders?  Spinning in their graves.  Wouldn't recognize the country they spawned.  So do many of us living through this nightmare.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

Recalcitrant Republicans are beginning to see the light.  Have no choice.  Gotten that bad.  The Washington Post reports:

"A growing number of congressional Republicans expressed exasperation Friday over what they view as President Trump’s indefensible behavior, a sign that the president’s stranglehold on his party is starting to weaken as Congress hurtles toward a historic impeachment vote. In interviews with more than 20 GOP lawmakers and congressional aides in the past 48 hours, many said they were repulsed by Trump’s decision to host an international summit at his own resort and incensed by acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney’s admission — later withdrawn — that U.S. aid to Ukraine was withheld for political reasons. Others expressed anger over the president’s abandonment of Kurdish allies in Syria."

All, rightfully so.  Not sustainable.  Trump is driving our formerly great country into the ground.  Doing irreparable damage to the Republican Party in the process.

"One Republican, Rep. Francis Rooney (Fla.) — whose district Trump carried by 22 percentage points — did not rule out voting to impeach the president and compared the situation to the Watergate scandal that ended Richard Nixon’s presidency."

This is far worse than the Nixon fiasco decades ago.  Orders of magnitude.  Off the chart.  Trump makes ole 'Tricky Dick' look like a choir boy in comparison.

“I’m still thinking about it, you know?” Rooney said of backing impeachment. “I’ve been real mindful of the fact that during Watergate, all the people I knew said, ‘Oh, they’re just abusing Nixon, and it’s a witch hunt.’ Turns out it wasn’t a witch hunt. It was really bad.”

As bad as it was back then, nothing compared to what's going on currently.  Nixon covered up criminal activity.  Trump is engaging in it.

"The GOP’s rising frustration is a break from the past three years, when congressional Republicans almost uniformly defended Trump through a series of scandals that engulfed the White House. There’s now a growing sense among a quiet group of Republicans that the president is playing with fire, taking their loyalty for granted as they’re forced to “defend the indefensible,” as a senior House Republican said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to talk frankly. A few Republicans are starting to say they flat-out won’t do it anymore — particularly the president’s choice of his Trump National Doral Miami golf resort for next year’s Group of Seven summit of world leaders, a selection that will benefit him financially."

Blatant corruption.  In broad daylight.  For all to see.

“You have to go out and try to defend him. Well, I don’t know if I can do that!” steamed a frustrated Rep. Mike Simpson (R-Idaho). “I have no doubt that Doral is a really good place — I’ve been there, I know. But it is politically insensitive. They should have known what the kickback is going to be on this, that politically he’s doing it for his own benefit.”

Wake up, Congressman.  How can you go along with any of this?  It's blatant corruption.  Outrageously, unconstitutional as well.  Violation of the Emoluments Clause.

"To be sure, Republican leadership in the House and Senate — and many rank-and-file GOP lawmakers — are still firmly behind Trump, who remains immensely popular with the party base. While several have criticized the president over policy, such as the withdrawal of U.S. forces from northern Syria, they have argued against impeachment."

This continues?  Will do irreparable damage to the Republican Party.  Think Democrats won't wind up laying crime after crime after crime after crime before the public during the impeachment inquiry for all to see?  Delusionally believe that won't do tremendous damage to the GOP?

"On Friday, Trump’s top allies continued to defend him, playing down the Doral announcement and doing damage control for Mulvaney’s blunder, in which their former House colleague contradicted Trump’s “no quid pro quo” talking point and admitted that the president had withheld nearly $400 million in military aid to force Ukraine to pursue an investigation that would benefit him politically. Hours after the comments, Mulvaney sought to walk back his remarks. After saying Trump held back aid to pressure Ukraine, Mulvaney tries to walk back comments."

Too late.  The cat was already out of the bag, -- so to speak.

Yet, some delusional Republicans remain hopelessly clueless:

“I don’t see what the big deal is, frankly,” Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) said of Trump’s decision to host the G-7 at Doral. On Ukraine, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said, “I think Mick was very clear in cleaning up the statement, that there was no quid pro quo.” Other Republicans shrugged off the latest controversies, including Trump’s choice of his Florida resort for the international meeting. “I think the optics aren’t good ... but we have a lot more problems to worry about,” said Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.). Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.) said the Doral announcement “doesn’t bother me a great deal” even as he admitted, “I think there is certainly an appearance of conflict of interest.”

Aggressive stupidity, that is, the determined, concerted, willful embrace of stupidity is always amply 'rewarded.'  Always.  Worse?  Unlike Nixon, Trump is a reincarnation of Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini.  An unabashed fascist.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Still, there was a notable shift in tone, even among some of Trump’s most adamant defenders. On Friday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) criticized Trump’s Syria decision in an op-ed in The Washington Post, just days after 129 House Republicans backed a resolution condemning the president’s move. “Withdrawing U.S. forces from Syria is a grave strategic mistake,” wrote McConnell, who rarely criticizes Trump and never mentioned the president’s name in the op-ed. “It will leave the American people and homeland less safe, embolden our enemies, and weaken important alliances.”

You think?  LOL.  -- Just beginning to see the light, Mitch?  LOL.

"Meanwhile, several GOP lawmakers have reached out to White House officials to urge Trump to reconsider his Doral decision, which they worry smacks of corruption, according to GOP officials familiar with the conversations who spoke on the condition of anonymity to talk candidly. At the very least, they’re pressing Trump to publicly commit to hosting the international leaders free, to avoid any appearance that he’s using his office to enrich himself."

Too late.  Already been doing so since taking office.  Forget?  Foreigners have been lining his pockets at his resorts in an attempt to gain favor. Wake up.

None of this bodes well for Republicans:

"House Democratic leaders are moving rapidly in their impeachment probe and could hold a vote by the holiday season. They have been turning up an increasingly robust body of evidence showing that the president pressured Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden, a 2020 presidential contender, and his son Hunter. Additionally, a majority of voters now back the idea of ousting Trump from office — even more Republicans are supporting impeachment.  Yet Republicans believe that Trump has made it harder for them to help him politically survive impeachment and win reelection. For one, his Doral announcement undercuts his own argument that Biden did something wrong when he allowed his son to make a profit from a Ukraine company board. Trump is now boosting his own bottom line from the Oval Office, they noted."

Time to wake up.  No good can come from any of this.  Our country's far more polarized than it's ever been.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.  As the clueless bastards in both major political parties continue to 'fiddle while Rome burns,' -- so to speak.  Unsustainable.

Republicans are shitting. The Washington Post reports:

"The planned impeachment testimony from a Pentagon official responsible for Ukraine policy resumed Wednesday afternoon after several of President Trump’s congressional allies staged a demonstration against the probe and barged into a secure facility on Capitol Hill, causing a more than five-hour delay."

Think you've heard it all?  NBC News reports:

"A panel of three federal appeals court judges appeared to be unreceptive Wednesday to President Donald Trump's claim that local prosecutors cannot get his financial records as long as he's in office — and heard an extreme hypothetical example making that case. The long-standing view of the Justice Department is that a president cannot be indicted while in office. William Consovoy, Trump's lawyer, told the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals that the immunity extends to the entire criminal justice process, including grand jury subpoenas for documents.

"Carey Dunne, New York District Attorney Cy Vance Jr.'s general counsel, said the president's position is too absolute. There could be examples in which a state should be able to conduct a criminal investigation of a sitting president, "if, for example, he did pull out a handgun and shoot someone on Fifth Avenue." Asked about that, Consovoy said a president could be charged with such a crime once he was out of office or if he was impeached and removed from office. "This is not a permanent immunity," he said. "I'm talking about while in office. Nothing could be done? That's your position?" Judge Denny Chin asked. "That is correct," Consovoy said."

The following matter is of great concern.  Not only because it involves a neo-nazi group that presents an exigent threat, but can be wantonly abused by government to abrogate the Second Amendment rights of all.  That is, the last best defense against outrageously corrupt and abusive government.  NBC News reports:

"Firearms belonging to the suspected leader of a neo-Nazi group who was thought to be preparing for a "race war" have been seized under a "red flag" law in Washington state, according to court documents. Authorities removed five rifles, three pistols and other gun components from Kaleb James Cole, 24, under a state law that allows authorities to take guns from people deemed to be a risk to themselves or others for up to a year, authorities said. Cole has not been charged with any crime."

That's a problem.  A big problem.  No question, the Nazi Right presents an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  At the same time, 'red flag' laws are egregiously unconstitutional.

Can, have, and will be used by corrupt and abusive government to abrogate the last best defense against corrupt and abusive government:  the Second Amendment.

-- I.e., one of the most important rights of law abiding citizens who are and remain the ultimate masters of government in a democratic republic as envisioned by the Founders.

Certainly, not the goddamned corporate management suite who currently runs and owns its bought and paid for shills at all levels of government.

"Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes believes the seizure, which court documents indicate happened Sept. 26, may have prevented a massacre."

No question, that may be true.  There is, however, a far greater principle involved here.  Far more at stake.  If this outrageously unconstitutional law is abused by corrupt and abusive government, the entire nation is placed at risk.  Could wind up under the boot of a dictator.  With no effective way to resist.  No way to fight back.  Democrats seem to have forgotten freedom is not free.

Always a cost to be paid, sometimes incredibly steep.  Some will wind up killed at the hands of criminals who use firearms to perpetrate their crimes.  Some have already been murdered at the hands of the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Think that justifies summarily forfeiting our last best defense against out of control, corrupt and abusive government? Forget?  Precisely, why the Founders included the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights.

"This is a hate-filled human being, but unfortunately one who possesses really alarming numbers of weapons," Holmes said."

Hate, certainly a factor in both the community and law enforcement.  Moreover, who is to define how many weapons are too many?  Who?  Many law-abiding collectors own massive collections.  Conveniently, forget?  Law enforcement is exceptionally well-armed.  Certainly has a recent history of murdering innocent, unarmed civilians with virtual impunity.  No problem with that?

"Prosecutors filed a lawsuit against Cole invoking the state’s red flag law and seeking an "extreme risk protection order." Seventeen states and Washington, D.C. have laws allowing family members or police to remove weapons from people who may be dangerous, according to The Pew Charitable Trusts."

Sets a dangerous precedent that can wind up becoming an exigent threat to a democratic republic.

"The National Rifle Association has opposed some current protection order laws, arguing they deprive gun owners of due process."

Sadly, they all do.  Worse?  Provide a false sense of security.

"Cole is a self-admitted member of the "Atomwaffen Division" — which the Southern Poverty Law Center says is a terroristic national socialist organization that believes in using violence for “apocalyptic, racial cleansing” — and is thought to be the leader of the Washington state chapter, Seattle police said in its petition for the court order. Police believe Cole participated in recent firearm training and recruitment efforts at “hate camps,” which officials say he helped organize. "It appears that he has gone from espousing hate to now taking active steps or preparation for an impending 'race war,'" Seattle police said in the petition. Included with the police petition were a cellphone photo of Cole giving the Nazi salute, and another of him and another person standing in front of the Auschwitz death camp in Poland."

No question, this piece of shit is a despicable national socialist, fascist, a nazi.  In our democratic republic, none of that is illegal.  Precisely, why this piece of crap has not been prosecuted.  Until he breaks the law, will not be prosecuted.

Readers are reminded the ACLU was strongly criticized back in the Sixties for legally defending the nazi element and its constitutional First Amendment right to hold rallies.  The ACLU did it for one reason and one reason only.  Today, the nazis.  Tomorrow, who's next?

"Cole was stopped as he arrived at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport in December 2018 after a 25-day trip to eastern Europe, and officials then noted that he had been identified in an article as being Atomwaffen’s Washington state chapter leader, Customs and Border Protection said in documents attached to the petition. Cole allegedly admitted his membership, and CBP wrote in its report that he "stated that he shares a fascist ideology, 'strong dominate the weak.'"

So does the Trump nazi.  So do his henchmen.  Although extremely, unconscionably despicable, it is not illegal to have such beliefs and to express them.  First Amendment.  It is also the First Amendment that permits ferocious non-violent criticism of these pieces of human excrement and their perverse ideology.

"But that report also said that Cole told officials he discourages members from doing anything illegal and that his group is not interested in the overthrow of the U.S. government. He said he owned an AK-47 and several handguns for protection. Cole was released after being questioned, the report says. Cole was deported from Canada earlier this year because officials there felt he was a member of an organization that may engage in terrorism, Seattle police said in its petition for the extreme risk protection order. Cole is said to have been barred from Canada for life. King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg told NBC affiliate KING of Seattle that in addition to the weapons seized, which included what he characterized as military-style assault rifles, components and tools that could be used to make untraceable firearms were also found."

Had he broke the law, the nazi son of a bitch would have been quickly arrested and charged.  Rightfully, so.  He had not done so.  Precisely, why unconstitutional 'red flag' laws were employed by the jackbooted bastards in blue and the judge.  Question to be asked, who's next?

"Satterberg said that much of the material presented to the judge was information already on the Internet and involved statements by Cole. "It wasn’t anything super-secret that we had to tell the judge. It was just: 'here’s what this guy’s about, he’s leading other people in practicing and informing a potentially violent cell that would act on their white supremacist views,'" Satterberg told the station. "So, that was enough to convince this judge that at least temporarily — let’s take a time out. Let’s take these guns out and see what we’ve got here," he said. "It isn't a crime, he’s not being charged, he’s not in jail ... it is a way to slow things down."

That alone is extremely dangerous.  Sets a dangerous precedent.  Presents an exigent threat of loss of constitutional rights without due process, no trial by jury.  On the whim of law enforcement, a judge, and/or family members who hold a grudge.  'Red flag' laws are ripe for abuse.

"The NRA's Institute for Legislative Action denied media reports that suggested the group supports red flag laws as they exist in some states, and it said it opposes such laws because they do not protect due process rights. "We will only support an ERPO process that strongly protects both Second Amendment rights and due process rights at the same time," the NRA said in January."

Again, freedom is not free.  Some of us will get killed by the criminal element through the illegal use of firearms.  -- The steep price sometimes paid for liberty.

The generals are standing up, speaking out.  Col. Jack Jacobs, Medal of Honor recipient and NBC/MSNBC military analyst reports:

"On Oct. 17, I attended the Al Smith Dinner, an annual charity gala in New York City. Political big-shots mingle with media celebrities and corporate executives. It is always an entertaining experience. This year’s keynote address was by retired Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis, President Donald Trump’s erstwhile secretary of defense. Trump once praised Mattis profusely, but more recently has made him the object of his scorn, calling him “the world’s most overrated general.” (Full disclosure: I know Jim Mattis and can report that he is among the finest officers I have met since I first donned a uniform 53 years ago.) Although Mattis has a well-developed and wry sense of humor, he is judicious about using it. His public persona leaves one with the correct impression that he is the consummate professional warrior."

No question.  A United States Marine.

"But at the Al Smith Dinner, he chose to deploy his weapons of erudition, surprising and amusing the hundreds of attendees with a rare counterattack. “I’m honored to be considered that by Donald Trump because he also called Meryl Streep an overrated actress,” Mattis said in his keynote speech. “So, I guess I’m the Meryl Streep of generals.” The barb was doubly surprising given Mattis’ previous reluctance to criticize his former commander in chief, a decision that has garnered its fair share of criticism. But there’s a reason for Mattis’ reluctance. Generals in Mattis’ position, even those who are retired, do not criticize the sitting president. Until this administration, Mattis’ joke would have been unthinkable. And yet, Mattis is merely the latest in a line of commanding officers who have recently rebuked the president’s decisions. This collective decision to go against such entrenched military traditions should give their warnings even more weight. When the generals are speaking out, something is really wrong."

No question.

"Earlier in October, retired Adm. William McRaven, also a very highly respected warrior, was even more direct in an opinion piece in The New York Times, in which he asserted that our nation is under attack from within. “Last week I attended two memorable events that reminded me why we care so very much about this nation and also why our future may be in peril,” McRaven, who oversaw the Navy SEAL team that killed Osama bin Laden, wrote. “But, beneath the outward sense of hope and duty that I witnessed at these two events, there was an underlying current of frustration, humiliation, anger and fear that echoed across the sidelines. The America that they believed in was under attack, not from without, but from within.”

It is.

"Very early on, service members are taught that the success of our national defense rests on the strength of the chain of command. Yes, one can argue and even disagree with the boss. Indeed, commanders routinely insist on critical input from their subordinates. But once the decision is made, unless the order is immoral or illegal, it must be obeyed. In America’s long history, we have made many strategic errors in the use of the military instrument of power. We strenuously avoided getting involved in World War II, and as a result, millions of people were slaughtered before we finally answered the call. Fighting in Vietnam, while supporting its corrupt and inept government, was a deadly folly. Invading Iraq was a huge mistake, and the error of doing so has not yet been fully realized."

Consider the following:

"But even in these cases, criticism of the national command authority by members of the military was, at most, muted. Four-star generals were certainly not directing criticism specifically at the commander in chief. Not so today. Trump’s decision to pull U.S. troops out of Syria seems to have been the final straw for several leaders. Also in October, retired Gen. John Allen, the former commander of American forces in Afghanistan, told CNN the events in Syria were "completely foreseeable" and that the U.S. had “greenlighted” the crisis. "This is what happens when Trump follows his instincts and because of his alignment with autocrats,” Allen noted."

He's right.  Spot on.

"Last year, retired four-star Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal went so far as to call Trump “immoral.” Over at the Atlantic, retired Gen. Joseph Votel, former commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) who helped lead the fight against the Islamic State militant group, wrote that Trump’s Syria “abandonment threatens to undo five years’ worth of fighting against ISIS and will severely damage American credibility and reliability in any future fights in which we need strong allies.” Even more three- and four-star generals voiced their frustration with Trump to Mark Bowden in a separate piece, some on the record and others off."

It is the duty of the chain of command to speak out when our country is placed at risk, or its best interests are not considered, looked out for.

"When warriors of the caliber of Mattis and McRaven or Votel and Allen publicly reprove the president, citizens may properly conclude that our national security decision-making is truly dysfunctional and that the nation is dangerously at risk."

No question.

"To be sure, from the very beginning of his tenure, the president has given critics plenty of reasons — both stylistic and substantive — to be excoriated. But, as in the past, we have not heard dissent from warriors. Until now. Perhaps the proximate impetus for the military’s disaffection was the president’s latest decision, to withdraw precipitously almost all American forces from Syria. For the United States, there has been nothing positive that has resulted from this misguided choice, and all the strategic gains have accrued to Turkey, Syria, Russia, Iran and ISIS. On the other hand, maybe this decision’s effect on these officers’ thinking is more wide-ranging. We are now in the unenviable and dangerous position of having convinced both friends and adversaries that we are withdrawing from the world stage. Mattis, for one, would gladly suffer a lifetime of adolescent, ad hominem criticism if the result were the safety, security and prosperity of his country."

Duty, Honor, Country.

Walls continue to close in on Trump.  The Washington Post reports:

"The senior U.S. diplomat in Ukraine told lawmakers Tuesday that President Trump made the release of military aid contingent on public declarations from Ukraine that it would investigate the Bidens and the 2016 election, contradicting Trump’s denial that he used the money as leverage for political gain. The explosive, closed-door testimony from acting ambassador William B. Taylor Jr. undermined the repeated statements of the president and the depositions of other administration officials, with the potential to reset the House impeachment probe of Trump. Taylor, a seasoned diplomat, Army veteran and meticulous note taker, provided an expansive description of a series of events at the heart of an investigation that poses the most serious threat to the Trump presidency. One Democrat described the testimony as “damning.” In a 15-page opening statement, obtained by The Washington Post, Taylor stood by his characterization that it was “crazy” to make the assistance contingent on investigations he found troubling."

Why was this hearing conducted closed door?  What could Democrats possibly been thinking?  The public is entitled to this information.  To see for itself.  In real time.  Not second hand.  Not filtered by anyone.  Not in dribs and drabs.

"He described how officials from the Pentagon, State Department, CIA and former National Security Adviser John Bolton tried unsuccessfully to get a meeting with Trump to release the aid. He testified that Ukrainian officials were blindsided by the White House’s decision to release a rough transcript of Trump’s July 25 call with President Volodymyr Zelensky with “virtually no notice of the release and they were livid.” Upon arriving in Kyiv last spring Taylor became alarmed by secondary diplomatic channels involving U.S. officials that he called “weird,” he said. Taylor walked lawmakers through a series of conversations he had with other U.S. diplomats who were trying to obtain what one had called the “deliverable” of Ukrainian help investigating Trump’s political rivals. “In August and September of this year, I became increasingly concerned that our relationship with Ukraine was being fundamentally undermined by an irregular informal channel of U.S. policy-making and by the withholding of vital security assistance for domestic political reasons,” Taylor said."

Report goes on and on.

Trump's war against women is doing damage.  Having its intended effect.  Evisceration of liberty.  ... You don't own your uterus, ladies.  -- Not according to the Nazi Right.  They do.  NBC News reports:

"Nearly 900 women's health clinics nationwide have lost federal funds after the Trump administration implemented a "domestic gag rule" to a federal family planning program known as Title X, according to an estimate by Power to Decide, an organization that works to prevent unplanned pregnancies. Women of color make up more than half, and Latinas over a third of all Title X patients. The lack of funding could affect access to reproductive health services, including breast cancer screenings, HIV tests and birth control for over 8.7 million women living in 390 counties in the U.S."

Trump's war against women.

"Paloma Zuleta, director of media relations at Power to Decide, told NBC that any changes in the way reproductive health clinics do business will mainly affect low-income women of color — defeating the purpose of the family planning program known as Title X, which was created to help low-income women. “If clinics can no longer open early anymore or they can no longer keep late hours because their funding is so different or if they have to lay people off,” Zuleta said, “it's a deterrent for women to be able to access the health care that they need."

Forget?  Trump's intention.

"The Trump administration instituted the gag rule two months ago, stating that health clinics can’t receive funds under Title X if abortions are performed at the facility or if specialists refer patients to centers where they can get an abortion. The administration issued the ruling despite the fact that since 1976, federal funds cannot be used to directly pay for abortions under the Hyde Amendment, which excludes abortion from the health care services provided to low-income people by the federal government."

Direct violation of freedom of speech.  First Amendment.  Who the hell is this goddamned nazi to abrogate a constitutional right?

"Ginny Ehrlich, chief executive of Power to Decide, said the gag rule imposed an “ethical dilemma” on clinics providing quality care, leaving some counties "with no clinic that has Title X funds to support women's needs.”

All, courtesy of the Nazi Right which is determined to impose its outrageously perverse religious views on all.

"Clinics had to choose between halting family planning consultations or services that include abortion as a viable option and keep receiving Title X funds or, like Planned Parenthood, withdraw from the federal family planning program and continue to offer full services at their facilities while looking for alternate sources of funding such as donations or private grants."

Nazi America.  Courtesy of those desperate to force their ersatz morality, perverse religious views on all.

"All clinics receiving Title X funding in Vermont, Maine, Utah, Oregon and Washington walked away from the federal program, according to data from the Kaiser Family Foundation and Power to Decide. The five states currently lack Title X clinics. Over 26 other states have seen drops in the number of clinics using Title X programs, including Florida, California and New York, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation and Power to Decide. Reproductive justice advocate Estefany Londoño worries that cuts resulting in fewer preventive services such as cervical cancer screenings could be detrimental to Latinas, who have the highest rate of cervical cancer, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Another ripple effect Londoño anticipates is that costs for services may go up as health centers have to make up for the lost federal funds. “Clinics will become more expensive for low-income women," she said, and women may face longer waits for appointments if clinics contract services."

Aggressive stupidity at its very worst:

"While the administration seeks to reduce access to abortion, reproductive health experts have found that one of the main factors driving a steep decline in abortions from 2008 to 2011 was the expansion of women’s access to better birth control and contraceptive services under programs like Title X."

Nazi Right, in effect, stupidly, figuratively shot itself in the ass.

Trump is growing increasingly desperate.  NPR reports:

"President Trump lashed out about the House impeachment inquiry in a tweet Tuesday morning, calling it "a lynching."

"So some day, if a Democrat becomes President and the Republicans win the House, even by a tiny margin, they can impeach the President, without due process or fairness or any legal rights. All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here - a lynching. But we will WIN!
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 22, 2019"

As expected, created a firestorm:

"Trump's harsh rhetoric drew an immediate response from Rep. Bobby Rush, D-Ill., who tweeted: "You think this impeachment is a LYNCHING? What the hell is wrong with you? Do you know how many people who look like me have been lynched, since the inception of this country, by people who look like you. Delete this tweet."

"You think this impeachment is a LYNCHING? What the hell is wrong with you?

"Do you know how many people who look like me have been lynched, since the inception of this country, by people who look like you. Delete this tweet. https://t.co/oTMhWo4awR
    — Bobby L. Rush (@RepBobbyRush) October 22, 2019"

What could Trump possibly been thinking?  His head remains figuratively, securely lodged up a bodily orifice.

"Rush led the effort by members of the Congressional Black Caucus in introducing legislation classifying actual lynching as a federal crime last year. The chair of the black caucus, Rep. Karen Bass, D-Calif., tweeted in a similar vein: "You are comparing a constitutional process to the PREVALENT and SYSTEMATIC brutal torture of people in THIS COUNTRY that looked like me?"

"You are comparing a constitutional process to the PREVALENT and SYSTEMATIC brutal torture of people in THIS COUNTRY that looked like me? https://t.co/3v4oMuPC6C
    — Congressmember Bass (@RepKarenBass) October 22, 2019"

At least one Republican was certainly not happy:

"Trump also drew a rebuke from Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., who called on Trump to "retract this immediately."

"We can all disagree on the process, and argue merits. But never should we use terms like “lynching” here. The painful scourge in our history has no comparison to politics, and @realDonaldTrump should retract this immediately. May God help us to return to a better way. https://t.co/URKNgxUfiv
    — Adam Kinzinger (@RepKinzinger) October 22, 2019"

Just when it appeared ole Lindsey was finally beginning to wake up, he had a brain fart:

"Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., vigorously backed up Trump. "This is a lynching in every sense," he told reporters."

Take your head out of your ass, Senator.  It's unbecoming.  Makes you look hopelessly stupid.  An idiot.

Good to see Trump is growing increasingly desperate.  Speaks volumes:

"Trump's rhetoric has grown more heated as the impeachment inquiry continues, but this is not the first time he has tweeted the word "lynching" to refer to the attacks on him.

"@ellenEspence: @marklevinshow Thank you for maintaining your integrity during this disgusting lynching of @realDonaldTrump" Thanks Mark!
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 22, 2015"

Wake up, Mr. 'President.'  You've consistently disgraced yourself and the presidency.  Remain an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Readers are reminded:

"Lynchings hold a dark place in American history. The NAACP notes that there were 4,743 people lynched in the United States from 1882 to 1968. And that is just the number of recorded lynchings. "Most of the lynchings that took place happened in the South," the civil rights organization writes. "A big reason for this was the end of the Civil War. Once black[s] were given their freedom, many people felt that the freed blacks were getting away with too much freedom and felt they needed to be controlled."

Trump is a jackass.  Unfit for office.

Facebook is out of control.  Presents an exigent threat to privacy.  The Washington Post reports:

"Forty-six attorneys general have joined a New York-led antitrust investigation into Facebook, officials announced Tuesday, raising the stakes in a sweeping bipartisan probe of the tech giant that could result in massive changes to its business practices. The expanded roster of states and territories taking part in the investigation reflects lingering, broad concerns among the country’s competition watchdogs that “Facebook may have put consumer data at risk, reduced the quality of consumers’ choices, and increased the price of advertising,” said New York Attorney General Letitia James in a statement."

Forget? Greed rules.

"The state inquiry into Facebook reflects growing national unease with the size and power of Silicon Valley, amid growing fears that the country’s largest tech companies act in ways that harm rivals or result in higher prices or worse services for consumers. Earlier this year, state attorneys general opened a similar bipartisan probe of Google, an investigation that centers on its advertising practices and could easily expand to cover other elements of the company’s business, officials have said. In Washington, meanwhile, federal antitrust authorities have divvied up Silicon Valley for further scrutiny. The Justice Department is probing Facebook and Google while the Federal Trade Commission has started investigating Facebook and Amazon, sources have said."

The problem is laissez-faire capitalism, that is, unregulated, or as in our formerly great country, extremely poorly regulated capitalism.  Precisely, why the financial system is now zero-sum, winner-take-all.  Middle class, endangered.  Top and bottom.  All or nothing.  Not sustainable.  ... Hear the rumble?

"With the state probe into Facebook, the concerns span the full gamut of its sprawling digital empire, including its past struggles to protect consumers’ data and its prior acquisition of two competitors, Instagram and WhatsApp. Initially, New York launched its probe with seven other states and D.C."

The corporate management suite and shareholders remain oblivious to the fact they've never seen a hitch on the back of a hearse.  That is, you can't take it with you.

“Given Facebook’s nearly unprecedented influence in so many sectors of the economy and political process, this bipartisan coalition of attorneys general is committed to ensuring that Facebook is complying with the law and meeting its obligations,” said Mark Herring, the Democratic attorney general of Virginia, one of the 47 officials now participating in the probe."

Fran,

All three Liberty In Peril FTP servers are down and apparently have been
hacked.  The three websites, however, remain up and running at time of
writing.  That is, libertyinperil.twomini.com, libertyinperil.wink.ws, and
libertyinperil.t15.org are accessible and running.  Only FTP access has
been effected making it impossible to upload.

The Filezilla messaging on twomini is:

Status:        Connecting to 31.170.167.137:21...
Status:      Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection
refused by server".
Error:       Could not connect to server

The exact same messaging, other than IP addresses, is the same on the wink
and t15 FTP servers. This hacking attack apparently occurred the day
after Wells Fargo closed two accounts because I publicly accused them of
criminal activity.  Your company needs to look into this matter. Get these
FTP servers up and running again.  A criminal complaint will be filed with
the U.S. Attorney regarding all the ongoing criminal activity by Wells
Fargo, now extended to hacking and undue interference with the webhosts.
Has 2freehosting been bribed and/or pressured by Wells Fargo?  Certainly,
one of numerous questions to be forwarded to criminal prosecutors.

Welcome.   Liberty In Peril has been relaunched at a new URL:
libertyinperil.com. This is a new commercial site hosted in an overseas
country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers.  Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible.  -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle.  No more bullsh-t.  Criminal complaints will be
prepared and filed against Amanda Wright, Lynn Massey, and the equally
criminal bastards in the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for
egregious deceptive trade practices.

Email notification of local businesses of these practices, has and will,
continue unabated until Wells Fargo accepts responsibility, ceases these
practices, and finally makes it right.  During the last several weeks
after the ftp servers were hacked, a blizzard of these emails was sent to
local businesses to keep intense pressure on the criminal bastards at
Wells Fargo.  Copies of these emails were sent to bank officials.  They
have been posted in this publication. ... We're already up to Salvo 74, --
and counting.

In addition, all new Newsletter Editions will feature an
available abbreviated version, smart phone friendly, that can be accessed
by clicking on the icon. Will supplement the regular format of this
publication.  This is being done because so many of you access this
publication with smart phones and other devices with small screens.

This site has finally been fully uploaded.  All links appear to be
properly working.  Typos in the rush to get material up have also been
corrected.  There will be a few additional changes to be made as time
allows.  Including, again, a smart phone-friendly abbreviated version of
each future Newsletter Edition starting with v434 that will be available
in addition to the regular edition.

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this
publication, that is exposure of corrupt, abusive, inept, clueless
government lackeys beholden to their corporate masters, rather than
dealing with recalcitrant webhosts.  We'll see.  With the
libertyinperil.com domain, however, any necessary changes in webhosts will
be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated.  Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well.  Forget?  The bank
is considered too big to fail.  Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true.  They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked.  What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support.  Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however.  Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it.  Certainly, have the
resources.  Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved.  Hard to believe they would be that stupid.  The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys.  The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further
exposure in this publication. Should you have information regarding this
or any other issue, contact me.  I will protect your identity.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor?  Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards.  Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result?  Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.

JP2 Linda Ballard Recording

Click herefor a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.'  The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request.   During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire.  Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint.  All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.

Publication of this material, however, should in no way be interpreted as endorsement of Ballard's opponent, Steve Lange, in the upcoming runoff.  It is not.  It is provided as a public service to expose the 'judge' for exactly whom and what she is.
