Status Update:  Kingsland Public Library

County apparently continues to work on IT issue:

As of 10-11-17, newly-installed Kingsland Library Public Wifi router running at snail's pace, Meeting Room 1 router remains down.  Public machines, as well as the machines the librarians themselves use, are extremely slow.  No rhyme or reason.  Sometimes the entire system works, other times not at all.

Status Update:  Kingsland Public Library

Obviously, the County is continuing to work on the IT issue:

As of 10-5-17, both wifi routers are running at a snail's pace.  Library machines dysfunctional.

As of 10-4-17, both wifi routers were fully operational.

Status Update:  Kingsland Public Library

As of 9-27-17, no wifi access.  Library machines at snail's pace. Had the chance to speak to the County Judge in person last week in Kingsland when she was in town on another matter.  Told me she would look into the issue.  Still no change in status.

Status Update:  Kingsland Public Library

As of 9-20-17, no wifi access.  Library machines at snail's pace.

9-15-17

No wifi access in the Kingsland Public Library 9-11-17, 9-12-17.  Both routers remained down for hours at the very least.  On 9/13, there was no wifi access at all. The librarians, deafeningly mum, have no explanation.  Imagine that.  Apparently, remain under enormous pressure.  Patrons on library machines complained data flow was at a snail's pace.

This bullshit has been going on so long hard to believe it's not intentional.  Especially, after the County Judge was informed nearly a month and a half ago.  Looted taxpayers are clearly not receiving what they paid for.  Be interesting to see how long this fiasco continues, how long the County continues to hold looted taxpayers hostage.  Stay tuned.

9-1-17

Despite far more to be posted on LCSO in due course, proper order vis a vis the latest fiasco, think the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, criminal Sheriff and his SS jackbooted bastards in black the only County targets worthy of exposure, ferocious derision in this publication?  Think so?  Wake up.  Read this publication a bit more thoroughly.  -- Don't get lost in the weeds, however.  LOL.  ... As intended, never a dull moment, is there?

... Usually, in all honesty and candor, though, the latter indeed is quite often the case, -- with exception of course.  :-)   ... Especially, lately.  Not always, however.  LOL.  ... Always a caveat, isn't there?  To finally get to the point, spare readers any additional banter, carefully consider the following benign recent (7-28-17) email exchange with the County Judge that amusingly accomplished shit squat:

IT Issue At Kingsland Library

Dear Judge:

Been brought to my attention by Kingsland residents Internet access at
the library has remained at a snail's pace for much of the last six to
eight weeks.  Sometimes better, sometimes worse.  Has been a problem
even when the library is nearly empty.

The Meeting Room 1 router has not been operational for quite some time
despite having been rebooted.  The librarians are great, true
professionals.  The problem appears to be in the network as well as with
the ISP.  IT staff needs to troubleshoot the issue.

Could you kindly look into the matter?  The County is apparently paying
for services from the ISP it is not receiving. Thanks in advance for
your time and attention to this.

 Sincerely.

Readers are advised this issue has not yet been resolved.  While Internet access improved somewhat for library patrons since the kids went back to school, Meeting Room 1 router still remains down as of 8/30, not been serviced.  Connectivity is frequently interrupted during download on Meeting Room 2 router.  Nowhere near as quick and reliable as it was back in the middle of June and earlier.

Taxpayers remain looted for services they're simply not receiving from the ISP.  Not yet clear this is a result of pending Net Neutrality abrogation by Trump and his cronies in the FCC, or simply failure of the County to ensure taxpayers are getting what they paid for.  This publication continues to receive complaints regarding this ongoing, unresolved connectivity issue.  Patrons have indeed walked out the library in frustration.
