Republicans continue to do all they can to abrogate voting rights.  NPR reports:

"Since the 2010 elections, 24 states have implemented new restrictions on voting. Alabama now requires a photo ID to cast a ballot. Other states such as Ohio and Georgia have enacted "use it or lose it" laws, which strike voters from registration rolls if they have not participated in an election within a prescribed period of time. Mother Jones journalist Ari Berman, author of Give Us the Ballot, says that many of the restrictions are part of a broader Republican strategy to tighten access to the ballot — an effort that was bolstered in 2013 by the Supreme Court's Shelby County v. Holder ruling. "[That] decision," Berman explains, "said that those states with the longest histories of discrimination no longer had to approve their voting changes with the federal government." You're seeing a national effort by the Republican Party to try to restrict voting rights, and it's playing out in states all across the country."

Sadly, going on for years.  Despite the fact Democrats have not been worth a crap since November 22, 1963.

"As a result, Berman says, "You're seeing a national effort by the Republican Party to try to restrict voting rights, and it's playing out in states all across the country." Many of the new voting restrictions are occurring in states like Georgia, North Dakota and Kansas, which have critical races in the 2018 midterms. Berman says that it's still unclear what the impact of the restrictions will be on the upcoming elections, but he remains hopeful that the tide might be shifting on voter restrictions."

Don't hold your breath.

NBC News reports:

"Georgia election officials must stop rejecting absentee ballots and applications because of a mismatched signature without first giving voters a chance to fix the problem, a federal judge said Wednesday in a ruling that could impact the race for governor where voting rights has become a major issue. U.S. District Judge Leigh May ordered the secretary of state's office to instruct county election officials to stop the practice for the November midterm elections. She outlined a procedure to allow voters to resolve alleged signature discrepancies. Secretary of State Brian Kemp, a Republican who oversees elections in the state, and Democrat Stacey Abrams sparred over voting rights and allegations of suppression in their first debate on Tuesday night. The race is neck and neck, polls show. Kemp accused Abrams of encouraging undocumented immigrants to vote illegally, while Abrams charged her rival with mass purging voters, many of whom are African-Americans."

The Republican way for quite some time.

"May's order comes in response to two lawsuits filed earlier this month allege that election officials are improperly rejecting absentee ballots. The lawsuits said the rejections without first letting voters challenge the determination violated voters' constitutional rights. May gave the parties until noon Thursday to comment on whether the language in her order is "confusing or will be unworkable" for election officials. One lawsuit was filed by the American Civil Liberties Union and its Georgia chapter on behalf of the Georgia Muslim Voter Project and Asian-Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta. The other was filed by the Georgia Coalition for the People's Agenda and five individual voters, including two candidates for office."

Sad, it's gotten down to this, isn't it?  Duplicity?  Unfathomable.  Un-American.  Right Wing.  National socialist.  Fascist.  Nazi.  Now, the American Way.

"Both lawsuits challenge the rejection of absentee ballots and absentee ballot applications without allowing voters an opportunity to dispute a finding of a mismatched signature. The lawsuit filed on behalf of the Georgia Coalition for the People's Agenda and individual voters also challenges the rejection of absentee ballots because of what it calls technical errors, like writing the current year in a space designated for the voter's birth year or signing on the wrong line."

Anything to abrogate voting rights to non-Republicans.

"The lawyers behind both lawsuits had filed emergency requests asking May to make certain immediate changes while the litigation is pending, though they sought different remedies. Both sets of lawyers applauded the judge's ruling. May wrote in her order that she was only addressing the signature mismatch issue. She had said during a hearing Tuesday that she was especially concerned about people whose signature doesn't match and who may not be able to vote in person if their absentee ballot is rejected, noting that submitting another absentee ballot or application may not fix the problem if the signature still doesn't match."

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

Voting rights remain in jeopardy across our formerly great country due to Republican national socialists determined to abrogate the rights of those they falsely believe, claim will not vote for them.  NBC News reports:

"Wednesday's Supreme Court deadlock ensured that North Carolina's restrictive voting law won't be in force for the November election. But it also underlined that the court's four conservatives appear wedded to a strikingly limited approach to protecting access to the ballot. And it made clearer than ever that the future of voting rights in America will likely be determined by the court's ninth justice—and therefore by the winner of the presidential election."

'Ain't' nazism 'grand?' Papieren, Bitte!  Papers, Please!  Nazi America. The Fourth Reich.  While Clinton is indeed a dishonest abomination, should Trump attain the Presidency, hang your head between your legs and kiss your ass good bye.  This national socialist piece of shit will certainly line the Court with the fifth bona fide nazi Republican who will enable the Nazi Five on the Court to fully obliterate all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

-- The last vestiges of freedom in our formerly great country.  Making an unwanted dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon all but inevitable.  Hear the rumble?  Think the country isn't already severely divided?  You 'ain't' 'seen' shit, yet.  Will get worse.  Far worse.

We're already seeing insurrection in the streets due to corrupt, abusive, inept, violent, criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Who murder on the job with impunity.  Not held accountable for their crimes.  Enjoy being held to what has become no standard at all.  While the idiots in the Republican Party cheer the criminal bastards in blue on.  ... And the Democrats remain too goddamned gutless to challenge the bullshit.

Amazing how government moves at a snail's pace to correct ongoing problems.  -- Hacking of personal records just one of many.  While GOP fascists have been quick to impose draconian, unnecessary voter ID laws to suppress the vote of those who are not Republicans, they have done absolutely nothing to insist all voter records be highly encrypted to protect against hacking.  ... This, despite the fact voter fraud remains negligible and not widespread.

CBS News reports:

"The FBI has found that hackers accessed Arizona’s and Illinois’s state election databases, CBS News has confirmed.  The bureau issued an alert to state election officials of the attempted hacks, which was sent earlier this month and it referenced two attacks in two states that are under investigation. At least one site was compromised, CBS News confirmed.  The two states that were targeted were Arizona and Illinois, and while the FBI released a statement, it didn’t offer any details."

Interesting, isn't it?  Why aren't all government records highly encrypted?  Why wasn't this done decades ago?  National socialists in the Republican Party have done their damnedest to deny the citizenry nearly all privacy.  In fact, these pieces of shit recognize no right to privacy as guarantied by the Fourth Amendment.  Yet, they hypocritically ignore the ongoing threat to data theft.  Couldn't care less.  ... Unless it's their data that's stolen.

It's still not clear what changes will be made now that the appeals court, a most conservative court, has placed the Texas Voter ID law on hold.  More on this as things develop.  Seems the emphasis will be on 'educating the public.'  A crock of shit if true.  Will do nothing to stop continuing disenfranchisement.

Regarding the recent challenge to the national socialist, fascist Voter ID law passed by Republican nazis in the not-so-great State of Texas, NBC reports:

"Since Texas' strict voter ID law went into effect in 2013, the stories of voters disenfranchised by the law have come thick and fast: A 70-year-old African-American woman who doesn't drive and wasn't told about the ID law when she registered to vote after moving to Dallas from out of state. A Houston student who needed to assemble a long list of documents to prove his residency. An African-American man who has never left Austin and was denied a state ID because his birth certificate lists his mother's name. An elderly woman who couldn't afford the $42 to get a birth certificate from her native Mississippi and without which she couldn't get ID. An estimated 600,000 registered Texas voters —and around 1.2 million eligible voters — don't have the ID required under the law.

"On Tuesday, the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans heard arguments in the ongoing challenge to the ID measure, which remains in effect despite three different federal court decisions determining that it discriminates against racial minorities."

Since there is no widespread voter fraud, this goddamned statute is no more than an effort by Republican national socialists to ensure voters vote one way, -- GOP.  Nazi justice.  Nazi Texas.  Nazi America.  Can you say f--ked?  Treason.  Goddamned treason.

NPR reports 5-18-16:

"U.S. District Judge Julie Robinson ruled Tuesday that Kansas' proof-of-citizenship requirement violates a provision of the National Voter Registration Act that requires "only the minimum amount of information" to determine a voter's eligibility."

Republican national socialists continue to make it as difficult as possible to vote.  Continue to egregiously shit on the National Voter Registration Act despite the fact there is no substantive voter fraud issue.  Rather, they wish to make it as difficult as possible for those who do not vote Republican to vote.  Sadly, no more complicated than that.

Sen. Ted "Screws Loose" Cruz has his head so far up his ass his eyeballs are turning inside out.  The following excerpt is from his latest newsletter:

Last week, Sen. Cruz and the entire Texas Republican congressional delegation filed a critical amicus brief with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit in Veasey v. Abbott. The brief supports Texas’ Senate Bill (SB) 14, which requires Texas voters to present government-issued photo ID before voting and provides for free election ID cards.

After SB 14 was passed into law in 2011, the Obama administration, along with private plaintiffs, launched an attack on this sensible legislation, claiming in court that SB 14 violates the Voting Rights Act, among other things. The case is now scheduled to be heard by the entire 5th Circuit. The Texas congressional delegation brief pushes back specifically against the administration’s baseless Voting Rights Act arguments.

“Proper evaluation of SB 14 under the Voting Rights Act must take into account the settled benefits of voter identification laws,” the brief states. “Texas’s SB 14 is an excellent example of a voter identification law that fosters each of these benefits through evenhanded, race-neutral, and non-burdensome means.”

There are no "settled benefits of voter identification laws."   Precisely, why a lower court ruled the goddamned law unconstitutional.  They're right. Remains amazing the nazi appeals court is dragging its feet on a voter ID law that has been ruled unconstitutional by the lower court.  The Supreme Court expects this case to be fully adjudicated in time for the November election.  If not, it states it may intervene.  Contrary to this lying son of a bitch who has no business in the Senate, this law remains the direct opposite of "sensible."  Why?  There is no substantive voter fraud here.  None at all.

This goddamned nazi knows full well more people who are eligible to vote won't directly due to this goddamned law that was cleverly designed by Republican national socialists to prevent the poor and elderly from voting.  Why?  Simple.  These goddamned nazis insanely believe the poor and elderly are more likely to vote Democratic than Republican.  So what to do?  Deliberately abrogate the right of both groups to vote.  Nazi justice in Nazi Texas in Nazi America.

The appeals court is dragging its feet, legislating its goddamned perverse ideological views from the bench.  The Supreme Court set a date positive to act:

"If, on or before July 20, 2016, the Court of Appeals has neither issued an opinion on the merits of the case nor issued an order vacating or modifying the current stay order, an aggrieved party may seek interim relief from this Court by filing an appropriate application."

Why are the goddamned national socialists on the Supreme Court dragging their feet?  Why hasn't this issue been long since resolved?  Why are they playing games along with the appeals court?

5-6-16

In follow-up to the above, Tom Smith of Public Citizen claims approximately 600,000 Texans lack voter ID.  PolitiFact Texas looked into the matter:

"We rate the claim Mostly True."

Republican national socialists will not be confused by the truth.  Under any circumstances.  They have a good thing going, don't they?  Over a half million Texans no longer vote.  According to Republicans, that's indeed a good thing. Right?  After all, they believe the poor and elderly vote mostly for Democrats. Get it?

4-29-16

'Judge' Thomas D. Schroeder of the Federal District Court is a goddamned national disgrace.  Poster boy for term limits.  This fascist son of a bitch blatantly, determinedly legislated his perverse ideological and religious views from the bench.  Obediently did the work of his corporate masters who clearly own his fascist ass.

This piece of shit upheld a nazi North Carolina law requiring voters to show photo ID before voting.  Did the bidding of his goddamned Republican masters who desperately want voters to vote for no one other than GOP national socialists.  There is no widespread voter fraud.  A myth perpetuated and perpetrated by Republican fascists.

This goddamned 'Judge' ensured through his bogus ruling those least likely to have 'proper' 'identification', that is, the elderly and poor, will not vote.  The fascist GOP falsely believes these individuals are most prone to vote for Democrats.  Once again, this phony judicial son of a bitch abrogated his oath of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  They'll certainly be an immediate appeal.  Should be.

This son of a bitch 'jurist' needs to be impeached, convicted, and removed from office as well.  As does every other son of a bitch in the judiciary who has done the same.  Sadly, they're all traitors.  Papieren Bitte!  Papers Please!  Goddamned Nazi America.  Indeed, the Fourth Reich.  Hitler and Mussolini must indeed be smiling from their fiery perches.  ... Again, who really won the Second World War European Theater?  Wake up.  You've been had.  Bamboozled.  By the national socialists in the Republican Party.  Right, TL?

4-8-16

The Supreme Court recently ruled unanimously (in a challenge brought by two rural Texas voters) that the entire population can and should be counted for political purposes, not just those eligible to vote.  Including illegals.  So the bullshit continues.  Republicans continue to successfully draw up districts as they please to ensure only Republicans get elected to office.  Nazi justice in Nazi Texas in Nazi America.  ... 'Ain't' 'freedom' 'grand?'
