The Trump nazi bold face lied to a group of sheriffs.  Imagine that.  Get this. The Washington Post reports:

"President Trump met Tuesday morning with a group of sheriffs from the National Sheriffs Association, a group that consists of more than 3,000 sheriffs from around the country. And to this sworn group of  law enforcement veterans, with reporters taking notes, he again repeated a falsehood about the murder rate in America."

Indeed, he did. Lied.

"Trump told the sheriffs, “the murder rate in our country is the highest it’s been in 47 years.” He blamed the news media for not publicizing this development, then added, “But the murder rate is the highest it’s been in, I guess, 45 to 47 years.”

A lie.

"The country’s murder rate is not the highest it’s been in 47 years. It is almost at its lowest point, actually, according to the FBI, which gathers statistics every year from police departments around the country."

How can a liar be trusted?  How?

Further insight into the Trump nazi and his chief strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, regarding immigration. The Washington Post reports:

"In November 2015, Stephen K. Bannon — then the executive chairman of Breitbart News — was hosting a satellite radio show. His guest was Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-Mont.), who opposed President Obama’s plan to resettle some Syrian refugees in the United States.  “We need to put a stop on refugees until we can vet,” Zinke said.  Bannon cut him off.  “Why even let ’em in?” he asked.  Bannon said that vetting refugees from Muslim-majority countries would cost money and time. “Can’t that money be used in the United States?” he said. “Should we just take a pause and a hiatus for a number of years on any influx from that area of the world?”

This is a goddamned nazi chillingly in the mold of Hitler and Mussolini.  Ignores the fact 'extreme vetting' has been going on for years.  In another article, The Washington Post reports:

"The flag fluttering above the U.S. Capitol is emblazoned with a crescent and star. Chants of “Allahu Akbar” rise from inside the building.  That’s the provocative opening scene of a documentary-style movie outlined 10 years ago by Stephen K. Bannon that envisioned radical Muslims taking over the country and remaking it into the “Islamic States of America,” according to a document describing the project obtained by The Washington Post."

Chillingly reminiscent of Hitler's newsreels some eighty years ago.

"The outline shows how Bannon, years before he became a strategist for President Trump and helped draft last week’s order restricting travel from seven mostly Muslim countries, sought to issue a warning about the threat posed by radical Muslims as well as their “enablers among us.” Although driven by the “best intentions,” the outline says, institutions such as the media, the Jewish community and government agencies were appeasing jihadists aiming to create an Islamic republic."

This is precisely why the Trump nazi, his henchmen, and nazis in the Republican Party pose an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  In regard to Bannon, ABC News reports:

"He told his radio audience in December 2015 that "over half" of Muslims in the Middle East believe in Sharia.  "I think that most people in the Middle East, at least 50 percent, believe in being Sharia-compliant," Bannon said. "One of the issues we have in Garland, Texas, is trying to stop these Sharia courts."  He was referring to the debunked claim that Islamist groups were trying to establish Sharia courts in Garland; they were setting up Islamic tribunals, or mediation groups. The claim earned the distinction of The Houston Chronicle's "2015 Texas hoax of the year."

Deservedly, so.

The Trump nazi once again betrayed the American public, aided and abetted his outrageously corrupt, abusive, thieving fellow corporate titans.  Wells Fargo and many, many other corporations must be celebrating like it's 1999.  NBC News reports:

"President Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday scaling back the sweeping 2010 Dodd-Frank financial regulatory framework enacted under his predecessor as a direct response to the financial crisis."

Understand what this means?  Once again, the corporate management suite has been effectively granted carte blanche to do as it pleases.  That is, f--k over the public with goddamned impunity.  ...Right, Amanda?

"In taking aim at Dodd-Frank, the new administration is targeting a broad range of financial reforms ranging from bank rules about speculating with customer funds and wind-down provisions for "too big to fail" institutions to consumer protections from predatory debt collection practices and forced arbitration. "

This is clearly a not-so-cleverly designed royal f--king of the American public.  Engineered by the Trump nazi for the benefit of his corporate cronies.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon.

"President Trump made it clear he wanted to dismantle the Dodd-Frank Act and this is the first salvo in attempting to do so," said Michael Barr, University of Michigan law professor and editor of the Russell Sage Foundation's journal, Financial Reform: Preventing the Next Crisis."

The 'President' is no more than a traitor.

"The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which was created in 2011 as part of the Dodd-Frank Act, is already under a legal cloud regarding the legitimacy of former President Obama's appointment of its director, former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray."

Cordray is no more than a worthless piece of shit.  He and the CFPB failed to do anything against Wells Fargo four years ago when a complaint was filed against the bank. -- He's a truly worthless piece of crap.  So is his toothless bureaucracy.  They're bought and paid for.  Yet, the Trump nazi and his equally fascist henchmen want absolutely no oversight.  None.

"An attempt to remove him will almost certainly prompt an even bigger court battle that could wind up in the hands of the Supreme Court — yet another factor that raises the stakes for Democrats being urged by progressives to dig in their heels on Trump's recent nominee, Neil Gorsuch."

This is precisely what needs to be done.  These goddamned nazis need to be repeatedly dragged into court.  Subject to ferocious, but peaceful resistance. Every step of the way.  They've stolen our country.  The rule of law.  Any semblance of principle.

"A second order Trump signed is expected to weaken the "fiduciary rule" an Obama-era regulation that would have required brokers to act in their client's best interest when providing retirement advice — as opposed to self-interest."

Do you clueless Republican fascists here in Nazi Llano County understand what this means?  You clueless bastards with huge portfolios dependent on these very same pieces of shit for investment advice?  Hope you get royally f--ked.  Forget?  'Stupid is, as stupid does.'  Ultimately, always gets 'rewarded.'

Once again the Trump nazi has abrogated his oath of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  The Washington Times reports:

"President Trump told religious leaders Thursday that he wants to “destroy” the Johnson Amendment, a longstanding legal barrier that prevents churches and charitable groups from endorsing political candidates."

A direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is church-state separation, freedom from religion.

“I will get rid of and totally destroy the Johnson Amendment and allow our representatives of faith to speak freely and without fear of retribution,” Mr. Trump said at the annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington."

The Trump nazi is clearly lobbying for an unconstitutional 'Christian' theocracy in direct violation of his phony oath of office.  This will be ferociously resisted in the courts.

"The 1954 IRS provision prevents tax-exempt organizations from campaigning for or endorsing any political candidates. Some Republican lawmakers want to repeal it, and Mr. Trump had promised during his campaign to get rid of the measure."

Highly unlikely that this will happen.  If it does, could be one of many of his outrageously unconstitutional executive orders to date that could trigger the unthinkable.  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon.

“For too long, the IRS has used the Johnson Amendment to silence and threaten religious institutions and charitable entities,” said Rep. Jody Hice, Georgia Republican. “As a minister who has experienced intimidation from the IRS firsthand, I know just how important it is to ensure that our churches and nonprofit organizations are allowed the same fundamental rights as every citizen of this great nation.”

That's unadulterated bullshit, Congressman.  Coming from a minister who shamelessly lies.  On the contrary, you and your fellow fascists have done all you could to force your goddamned achingly perverse religious and ideological views on the rest of us by statute.  You haughtily dictate to a woman what she can and cannot do with her uterus.  Practice medicine without a license to pass unnecessary restrictions on medical procedures, opposed by the medical community, to force your misogynist views on the unwilling, deny women easy access to a constitutional right.  You and your ilk are no more than traitors.

Not all in the religious community support Evangelist nazis, however.  Get this:

"Rabbi Jack Moline, president of the Interfaith Alliance, said repealing the Johnson Amendment “would undermine religious freedom by plunging houses of worship into partisan politics and inviting the rewards and punishments of patronage.”

Indeed, that's precisely what would happen.  What hypocritical 'Christian' fascists desperately want.  Expect.  Crave.

“We strongly urge Congress to oppose the effort to undermine the Johnson Amendment, which has nothing to do with religious freedom and everything to do with grabbing power for the religious right,” Rabbi Moline said."

That's right.  That's all it is.  Unabashed, unashamed, clueless treason.

"He said Mr. Trump’s assertion that clergy are being muzzled “is a lie that has been advanced for years by the religious right.”  “No law or regulation restricts any faith leader from addressing politics from the pulpit, they just can’t use tax-exempt dollars for partisan politics,” he said."

That's right.  They do it every Sunday in church.  On Fox News.  Anywhere they please.

"If tax-exempt groups such as the Boy Scouts of America or the Red Cross could engage in political campaigns, he said, “the government would be subsidizing partisan politicking with citizens’ tax dollars.”

That's right.  That's the problem with eviscerating the Johnson Amendment.  It would turn this formerly great country into a goddamned theocracy.  What is particularly galling is the fact this is coming from a goddamned hypocrite, who while claiming to be a 'Christian,' doesn't even attend church on a regular basis.  Who?  Wake up.  -- The Trump nazi.

2-10-17

Does this sound like a man fit to be President?  The Washington Post reports:

"It should have been one of the most congenial calls for the new commander in chief — a conversation with the leader of Australia, one of America’s staunchest allies, at the end of a triumphant week.  Instead, President Trump blasted Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull over a refugee agreement and boasted about the magnitude of his electoral college win, according to senior U.S. officials briefed on the Saturday exchange. Then, 25 minutes into what was expected to be an hour-long call, Trump abruptly ended it."

Comfortable with the Trump nazi having his finger on the nuclear button?  Think he has the temperament to be trusted?

"At one point, Trump informed Turnbull that he had spoken with four other world leaders that day — including Russian President Vladimir Putin — and that “this was the worst call by far.”

Sounds like a petulant, out of control teenager, doesn't he?

Got his just comeuppance from a news commentator, however.  Regarding the Trump nazi's call to the Australian leader, get this.  The Washington Times reports:

"Political commentator Keith Olbermann had harsh words for President Trump on Wednesday after the commander in chief mischaracterized refugees being held at Australian detention centers as “illegal immigrants.”

Forget?  The Trump nazi's head figuratively remains determinedly up his clueless, hopelessly ignorant ass.

"The former ESPN and MSNBC anchor lashed out against Mr. Trump over Twitter Wednesday after the president weighed in with regards to an arrangement made under the Obama White House that would see Australia sending upwards of 1,250 refugees to the United States."

As well as he should have.

“Do you believe it? The Obama Administration agreed to take thousands of illegal immigrants from Australia. Why? I will study this dumb deal!” Mr. Trump tweeted Wednesday evening.  “They’re called ‘refugees’ you piece of [expletive],” the commentator quipped back."

Indeed.  Wouldn't want to confuse the Trump nazi with the truth, would we?

“Trump is either too stupid to realize the Muslim Ban helps ISIS, or realizes it and has other motives,” Mr. Olbermann tweeted Thursday, using an acronym for the Islamic State terror group."

That's right.  Point, well-made.

“Why did Trump institute a Muslim ban that will increase the risk of terrorism here? What will he do next?” he said in a followup tweet."

We'll soon see.

2-10-17

The Trump nazi and his henchmen remain determinedly truth-challenged.  Translation? They're liars.  Get this.  CBS News reports:

"President’s Trump’s adviser Kellyanne Conway on Thursday alluded to a massacre in an effort to defend the administration’s travel ban, but the event never happened."

That's right.  It didn't.  No more than a classical example of Conway's "alternative facts,' that is, bold faced lies.

"In an interview on MSNBC’s “Hardball” with Chris Matthews, Conway was discussing the ban imposed last weekend that blocks entry into the U.S. for people from seven countries and suspends the program to admit Syrian refugees.  “I bet there was very little coverage, I bet it’s brand new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre,” Conway said.  “Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.”

A lie.

"It was never covered, however, because it never happened."

Forget?  "Alternative facts."

The following is from The Washington Post:

"Any White House has a very large megaphone, and officials must be careful in how they use it. It is especially important to stick to the facts. Here’s what Conway got wrong in her original statement:

"There was no massacre in Bowling Green.
"The discovery that former Iraqi bomb makers had been admitted as refugees was widely covered.
"They were not “radicalized’ after they came to the United States."

There is no question, at the very least, Conway did not know what she was talking about.

"Instead, she meant to refer to the alleged (but not proved) killing of U.S. soldiers in Iraq by bomb makers who were arrested in Bowling Green and then sent to prison for decades — before they killed anyone in the United States.  Uncorrected, this would have been worth Four Pinocchios. But Conway says it’s an “honest mistake.” We appreciate that she sought to correct the record. Readers can judge for themselves, but as we don’t play gotcha, we will leave this unrated."

No matter what, Conway is truth-challenged, that is, a liar.

In follow up to the above, there is new information regarding deliberate deception on the part of Kellyanne Conway.  The Washington Post reports:

"Kellyanne Conway thinks she took too much flak for citing a nonexistent “Bowling Green massacre” to justify President Trump's travel ban. She said she simply meant to say “Bowling Green terrorists,” and she later said, “I misspoke one word.”  Except now she doesn't seem to have misspoken; she seems to have believed that the Bowling Green massacre was a real thing. How do we know? Because she also cited it in an interview with Cosmopolitan, as the magazine revealed Monday morning. And in that interview, she described the “massacre” in more detail."

Couldn't be, could it?  Trump's henchmen wouldn't lie or distort reality, would they?

2-10-17

There is no diversity in the Trump regime.  The Washington Post reports:

"Most of the aides Trump relies on for counsel as he moves to dramatically reshape the country are men — and nearly all of them are white."

Then again, what else would be expected from the Trump nazi?

2-10-17

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.  NPR reports:

"Donald Trump's presidential campaign had many unusual aspects, not the least of which was the huge amount of money it funneled into Trump's own businesses.  And now there's a new twist: Such payments can continue indefinitely because he's already declared himself a candidate for re-election in 2020."

Convenient, isn't it?  Shrewd, as well.

"Documents filed with the Federal Election Commission show that Trump's 2016 campaign paid millions of dollars to fly on his aircraft, compensate his relatives for unspecified campaign activities and rent space in Trump properties, including Trump Tower in New York, the Trump golf club in Bedminster, N.J., and Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.  How much money did the campaign pay in total? Politico did the calculations and came up with a figure of $12.8 million as of Dec. 31, 2016."

How about that?  More than most would make in a hundred lifetimes.  Still delusionally believe the Trump nazi is a populist?

"Such payments are not illegal. Federal law allows campaigns to compensate businesses owned by candidates for any goods and services provided. But the amount of money Trump's campaign funneled to his own businesses is on a scale rarely if ever seen before, says Norm Eisen, ethics adviser to former President Barack Obama.  "It's customary for campaigns to provide some reimbursement, but we have never seen anything like this. It merits close scrutiny," Eisen told NPR. He said the watchdog group he chairs, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, is "poring over the records to make sure the charges are justified and legal."

The Trump nazi and his henchmen need to be closely scrutinized, -- on a continuing basis.

"CREW recently sued Trump alleging that his overseas business interests violate the Constitution's Emoluments Clause, which bars presidents from accepting payments from foreign governments."

Readers will recall this was covered in the last edition.  The Trump nazi and his henchmen need to be held accountable.  Independent watchdogs remain critical, -- especially as government grows increasingly non-transparent.  Trump's businesses will continue to present ethical problems for the nazi and his henchmen.  The Washington Post reports:

"Before taking office, President Trump promised to place his assets in a trust designed to erect a wall between him and the businesses that made him wealthy.  But newly released documents show that Trump himself is the sole beneficiary of the trust and that it is legally controlled by his oldest son and a longtime employee.  The documents, obtained through a public records request by the investigative news service ProPublica and first reported by the New York Times, also show that Trump retains the legal power to revoke the trust at any time."

This will likely become an issue as independent watchdogs investigate possible Emolument Clause violations as grounds for impeachment.  Here is the problem:

"While Trump has promised he will observe a separation between his business and the presidency, he retains ownership of the business and will personally benefit if the business profits from decisions made by his government.  Further, the business will be run by family members who remain the most trusted members of Trump’s inner circle, raising questions about whether Trump’s promises to limit communication about the business’s fate are realistic."

Can-you-say-impeachment?

Taxpayers are being soaked as Trump's kid does business on behalf of dear old dad.  The Washington Post reports:

"When the president-elect’s son Eric Trump jetted to Uruguay in early January for a Trump Organization promotional trip, U.S. taxpayers were left footing a bill of nearly $100,000 in hotel rooms for Secret Service and embassy staff."

Why didn't the Trump nazi reimburse the government for this?

"It was a high-profile jaunt out of the country for Eric, the fresh-faced executive of the Trump Organization who, like his father, pledged to keep the company separate from the presidency. Eric mingled with real estate brokers, dined at an open-air beachfront eatery and spoke to hundreds at an “ultra exclusive” Trump Tower Punta del Este evening party celebrating his visit."

Still think the Trump nazi a 'populist?'

"The Uruguayan trip shows how the government is unavoidably entangled with the Trump company as a result of the president’s refusal to divest his ownership stake. In this case, government agencies are forced to pay to support business operations that ultimately help to enrich the president himself."

Can-you-say-Emoluments Clause?

"The bill for the Secret Service’s hotel rooms in Uruguay totaled $88,320. The U.S. Embassy in Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay, paid an additional $9,510 for its staff to stay in hotel rooms to “support” the Secret Service detail for the “VIP visit,” according to purchasing orders reviewed by The Washington Post."

A billionaire, firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.

“This is an example of the blurring of the line between the personal interest in the family business and the government,” said Kathleen Clark, an expert on government ethics and law professor at Washington University in St. Louis."

Again, can-you-say-Emoluments Clause?  This, what you Republican fascists in Nazi Llano County consider 'conservative?'

2-10-17

The Trump Regime seems to be in growing disarray.  The judiciary is beginning to stand up against the Trump nazi.  NPR reports:

"On Friday night, a federal judge in Seattle temporarily halted the enforcement of President Trump's executive order on immigration. By Saturday, federal officials had announced they would be complying with the ruling, and airlines said they would resume boarding travelers covered under the ban.
The Department of Homeland Security "has suspended any and all actions implementing the affected sections of the Executive Order," a department spokeswoman said in a statement. Accordingly, department officials are no longer flagging travelers simply because they are from the seven majority-Muslim countries temporarily barred by Trump's order."

The fascist dictator in the Oval Office must be challenged by the judiciary.

"Meanwhile, a State Department spokesperson tells NPR that officials with the department are also adhering to the decision. The department has provisionally revoked somewhere between 60,000 and 100,000 individuals' visas, according to different accounts; under Saturday's announcement, the State Department says that move has been reversed — and that "individuals with visas that were not physically cancelled may now travel if the visa is otherwise valid."

Interesting, isn't it?  Encouraging, as well.

"The State Department said it is working closely with DHS and legal teams on complying with Judge James Robart's decision, which suspends the nationwide enforcement of Trump's order while a case brought by the states of Washington and Minnesota is heard in court."

The Trump nazi is not a happy camper:

"Trump, for his part, tweeted a broadside Saturday morning against Judge Robart."

Who'd 'a 'thunk it?  Couldn't be, could it?

"When a country is no longer able to say who can, and who cannot , come in & out, especially for reasons of safety &.security - big trouble!" Trump tweeted."

This clueless son of a bitch thinks he's the country?  Doesn't seem to grasp the fact this is supposed to be a nation of laws, not men.  This is why there are three supposedly independent branches of government with supposedly equal power.  We're about to see if this is in fact still true.

"In a subsequent tweet, Trump derided Robart as a "so-called judge," whose decision "is ridiculous and will be overturned!" Robart, who was appointed by former President George W. Bush, is the federal judge presiding over the U.S. District Court in western Washington state."

Imagine that.  A Republican judge willing to stand up to the Republican Trump nazi.

"In a statement released Friday, the White House also called Robart's stay an "outrageous order." Later, as NPR's Rebecca Hersher noted, the statement was soon changed to remove the word "outrageous."  But the thrust of the message remained the same: The White House said the Justice Department will challenge the judge's decision."

Be interesting to see where this goes.  ... If anywhere.

"Beyond the case brought by the states of Minnesota and Washington, three other states — Massachusetts, New York and Virginia — have also sued the federal government over Trump's executive order."

Sad to say, the remaining 45 are, to date, too damned gutless.  ... Or, support the Trump nazi and his goddamned henchmen.

Subsequent to writing the above, the following has been learned about Judge Robart.  NBC News reports:

"Federal Judge James L. Robart, who brought President Donald Trump's attempt to block people from certain countries from entering the United States to a screeching halt, has lived much of his life out of the spotlight.  Until now."

Readers should understand Robart is a George W. Bush "The Tush" appointee:

"He was nominated by President George W. Bush to be a federal judge in the Western District of Washington late in 2003 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in June 2004."

Yet, unlike the unprosecuted war criminal former president, Robart has integrity.

"Robart's ruling Friday that temporarily invalidates Trump's effort to block entry into America to citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries elicited a response from the president, who rarely lets any slight go unanswered.  And sure enough, Trump's retort was quick to come: On Saturday morning, the president tweeted that the decision of this "so-called judge" would not stand.

"The opinion of this so-called judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 4, 2017"

Again, the Trump nazi shamelessly disgraced himself.  -- So what else is new?

"What little is known of Robart, who's based out of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington state, suggests that he is a soft-spoken yet fearless man — someone of deep convictions and a jurist who does not mince words."

This is precisely what one wants in a jurist, -- provided those "convictions" don't get legislated from the bench.

"He suggested in court that Trump's 90-day entry ban on people from the countries of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen was not "rationally based," since no one from any those countries had been arrested in the U.S. on terrorism-related charges since 9/11."

That's certainly true.  Been widely reported as such.

"And, in his quiet and measured way, he was scathing about the implementation of Trump's order.  "I'm sorry, there's no other way to put it," Robarts said from the bench. "It's Keystone Cops. It really is. And that's not just me speaking, that's Republican members of Congress."  The Keystone Cops were hilariously incompetent police officers who were featured in silent movies in the early 20th century."

That also is true.  Again, widely reported.  Precisely, why the Trump nazi and his henchmen desperately rushed to make changes in at least some provisions due to the widespread uproar both here and abroad.

Subsequent to writing the above the Trump nazi and his henchmen quickly appealed through the 'Justice' Department.  The appeals court refused to immediately stay the order.  Ordered both sides to quickly respond with more information.

CNN reports:

"The judges who will hear the case -- most likely conferring by telephone -- are expected to issue a ruling as early as Tuesday. The three-judge panel includes Judge William C. Canby Jr, an appointee of President Jimmy Carter, Judge Michelle T. Friedland, who was appointed by President Barack Obama, and Judge Richard R. Clifton, an appointee of President George W. Bush. It is likely that they will make their decisions based on the legal briefs they receive and not ask for a hearing.  The loser at the 9th Circuit will most likely go to the Supreme Court. Because the justices are understaffed with only eight judges, there is a chance that they could split on the ruling 4-4.  If that were to occur, they'd be left with simply upholding whatever order the 9th Circuit issued, underscoring the importance of that court's ruling."

NPR reports:

"Apple, Facebook, Google and Microsoft are among 97 tech companies that filed court papers supporting a challenge to President Trump's ban on immigration from seven majority-Muslim nations, calling the executive order unlawful, discriminatory and arbitrary and saying that it would hurt their businesses.  Trump's executive order enacting the ban "has had immediate, adverse effects on the employees of American businesses," the companies say, warning that the ban also poses long-term risks.  The companies' amicus filing comes as a federal court weighs whether to reinstate the ban, which was blocked by a temporary restraining order on Friday in response to a lawsuit filed by Washington state."

The Washington Post reports:

"Ten former high-ranking diplomatic and national security officials, nearly 100 Silicon Valley tech companies, more than 280 law professors, and a host of civil liberties and other organizations have formally lent their support to the legal bid to block President Trump’s immigration order.  The new voices demonstrate the broad opposition to Trump’s now-frozen order, which had temporarily barred refugees and people from seven Muslim majority countries from entering the United States. The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals could decide on Monday whether to restore the ban, which a lower court judge had brought to a halt."

"More than 280 law professors signed one amicus brief, and they noted that 292 institutions of higher education had issued statements expressing concerns about the order. Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Netflix, Twitter, Uber and many others also noted their opposition.  Former secretaries of state John F. Kerry and Madeleine Albright, along with former CIA director Leon Panetta and other former top national security officials, attached their names to an affidavit declaring there was “no national security purpose” for a complete barring of people from the seven affected countries."

Quite encouraging the Trump nazi is receiving stiff opposition.

Subsequent to writing the above, the appeals court held the hearing.  The Washington Times reports:

"President Trump’s own loose campaign rhetoric may be coming back to bite him, after a federal court said his brash call for a Muslim ban is “potential evidence” that could be used against him in the legal battle over his new extreme vetting executive order."

Certainly, displeased the Trump nazi and his henchmen.  More to be posted as it becomes available.

2-10-17

Once again, Republican national socialists in the Senate figuratively shot themselves in the ass.  CNN reports:

"The Senate has silenced Elizabeth Warren.  And by doing so, majority Republicans just handed the liberal firebrand a megaphone -- further elevating President Donald Trump's fiercest and most prominent critic in the Senate and turning her into a Democratic hero."

Not only of Democrats, but Independents as well who ferociously oppose the Trump nazi and his equally fascist, misogynist, racist henchmen.

"The rebuke of Warren came after the Massachusetts Democrat read a letter written 30 years ago by Coretta Scott King, the widow of Martin Luther King Jr., opposing the nomination of Jeff Sessions for a federal judgeship.  Warren cited the letter during a debate on the nomination of Sessions -- now an Alabama senator -- as Donald Trump's attorney general. Reading from King's letter to members of the Senate Judiciary Committee in 1986, Warren said: "Mr. Sessions has used the awesome power of his office to chill the free exercise of the vote by black citizens in the district he now seeks to serve as a federal judge."

Indeed, that's right.  He did.  The Trump nazi and his henchmen cannot, will not obfuscate that reality.

"Republicans cried foul -- charging that Warren violated Senate rules against impugning another senator. A vote along party lines upheld that decision, turning what could have been an ordinary late-night partisan floor speech for political devotees into a national story.

"They can shut me up, but they can't change the truth," Warren later told CNN's Don Lemon."

No First Amendment, no free speech in the national socialist Senate now run and owned by Republican nazis.

"The moment immediately galvanized the Democratic base. Weeks after the women's marches around the country turned out droves of anti-Trump protesters, Warren -- silenced by male senators for attempting to read a letter from a civil rights icon -- had given those women a new rallying point.
Adding fuel to the backlash, supporters noted the apparent hypocrisy that Warren's male colleagues were able to read from the letter uninterrupted."

How about that?  Nazi justice in a GOP-owned nazi Senate.  Think the Founders aren't spinning in their graves?

"Sen. Mark Udall read the letter to enter it into the congressional record Wednesday morning and Sen. Jeff Merkley was allowed to read from King's letter Tuesday night, though he couched his remarks as only reading portions of the letter and with the context to be in line with Senate rules.
Warren is now forbidden from participating in the floor debate over Sessions' nomination ahead of a confirmation vote expected Wednesday.
"I literally can't be recognized on the floor of the Senate," she told Lemon. "I have become a nonperson during the discussion of Jeff Sessions."

Warren certainly figuratively shot herself in the ass with her earlier support of Ben Carson.  Has certainly redeemed herself standing up to the Sessions nazi, as well as other GOP nazis in the Senate.  Her treatment in the Senate is no more than an extension of nazi justice in a goddamned fascist police-state.  Republican-owned.  The Fourth Reich.

Here is the King letter:

THE MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. CENTER
449 Auburn Avenue. NE. Attents. Georgia 30312 (404) 524-1956

March 19, 1986

The Honorable Strom Thurmond, Chairman
Committee on the Judiciary
United States Senate
Dirksen Senate Office Building

Washington, D.C. 20510

Re: Nomination of Jefferson B. Sessions
U.S. Judge, southern/District of
Alabama Hearing, March 13, 1986

Dear Senator Thurmond:

I write to express my sincere opposition to the
confirmation of Jefferson B. Sessions as a federal district
court judge for the Southern District of Alabama. My
professional and personal roots in Alabama are deep and lasting.
Anyone who has used the power of his office as United States
Attorney to intimidate and chill the free exercise of the
ballot by citizens should not be elevated to our courts.

Mr. Sessions has used the awesome powers of his office in a
shabby attempt to intimidate and frighten elderly black voters.
For this reprehensible conduct, he should not be rewarded
with a federal judgeship.

I regret that a long standing commitment prevents me from
appearing in person to testify against this nominee. However,
I have attached a copy of my statement opposing Mr. Sessions'
confirmation and I request that my statement as well as this
letter be made a part of the hearing record.

I do sincerely urge you to oppose the confirmation of
Mr. Sessions.

Sincerely,

Coretta Scott King

Statement of
Coretta Scott King
on the Nomination of
Jefferson Beauregard Sessions
for the United States District Court
Southern District of Alabama

Senate Judiciary Committee

Thursday, March 13, 1986

Mr. Chairman and Members of the Committee:

Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to express my
strong opposition to the nomination of Jefferson Sessions for
federal district judgeship for the Southern District of Alabama.
My longstanding commitment which I shared with my husband,
Martin, to protect and enhance the rights of Black Americans,
rights which include equal access to the democratic process,
compels me to testify today.

Civil rights leaders, including my husband and Albert
Turner, have fought long and hard to achieve free and unfettered
access to the ballot box. Mr. Sessions has used-the awesome
power of his office to chill the free exercise of the vote by
black citizens in the district he now seeks to serve as a federal judge.
This simply cannot be allowed to happen. Mr. Sessions
conduct as U.S. Attorney, from his politically-motivated voting
fraud prosecutions to his indifference toward criminal violations
of civil rights laws, indicates that he lacks the temperament,
fairness and judgment to be a federal judge.

The Voting Rights Act was, and still is, vitally important
to the future of democracy in the United States. I was
privileged to join Martin and many others during the Selma
to Montgomery march for voting rights in 1965. Martin was
particularly impressed by the determination to get the franchise
of blacks in Selma and neighboring Perry County. As he wrote,
"Certainly no community in the history of the Negro struggle
has responded with the enthusiasm of Selma and her neighboring
town of Marion. Where Birmingham depended largely upon
students and unemployed adults [to participate in non-violent
protest of the denial of the franchise], Selma has involved
fully 10 per cent of the Negro population in active demon-
strations, and at least half the Negro population of Marion
was arrested on one day.  Martin was referring of course
to a group that included the defendants recently prosecuted
for assisting elderly and illiterate blacks to exercise that
franchise. In fact, Martin anticipated from the depth of
their commitment twenty years ago, that a united political
organization would remain in Perry County long after the
other marchers had left. This organization, the Perry County
Civic League, started by Mr. Turner, Mr. Hogue, and others,

The New York Times, Sunday Magazine, March 14, 1985.

as Martin predicted, continued "to direct the drive for
votes and other rights." In the years since the Voting
Rights Act was passed, Black Americans in Marion, Selma and
elsewhere have made important strides in their struggle to
participate actively in the electoral process. The number
of Blacks registered to vote in key Southern states has
doubled since 1965. This would not have been possible
without the Voting Rights Act.

However, Blacks still fall far short of having equal
participation in the electoral process. Particularly in the
South. efforts continue to be made to deny Blacks access to
the polls, even where Blacks constitute the majority of
the voters. It has been a long uphill struggle to keep
alive the vital legislation that protects the most fundamental
right to vote. A person who has exhibited so much hostility
to the enforcement of those laws, and thus, to the exercise
of those rights by Black people should not be elevated to
the federal bench.

The irony of Mr. Sessions' nomination is that, if
confirmed, he will be given life tenure for doing with a
federal prosecution what the local sherifls accomplished
twenty years ago with clubs and cattle prods. Twenty years
ago, when we marched from Selma to Montgomery, the fear of
voting was real, as the broken bones and bloody heads in
Selma and Marion bore witness. As my husband wrote at the
time, "it was not just a sick imagination that conjured up
the vision of a public official sworn to uphold the law,
who forced an inhuman march upon hundreds of Negro children;
who ordered the Rev. James Bevel to be chained to his
sickbed; who clubbed a Negro woman registrant and who
callously inflicted repeated brutalities and indignities
upon nonviolent Negroes peacefully petitioning for their
constitutional right to vote.

Free exercise of voting rights is so fundamental to
American democracy that we can not tolerate any form of
infringement of those rights. Of all the groups who have
been disenfranchised in our nation's history, none has
struggled longer or suffered more in the attempt to win
the vote than Black citizens. No group has had access to
the ballot box denied so persistently and intently.

Over the past century, a broad array of schemes have been
used in attempts to block the Black vote. The range of
techniques developed with the purpose of repressing black
voting rights run the gamut from the straightforward appli-
cation of brutality against black citizens who tried to
vote to such legalized frauds as "grandfather clause"
exclusions and rigged literacy tests.

The actions taken by Mr. Sessions in regard'to the 1984
voting fraud prosecutions represent just one more technique

m/ "Civil Right No. -- The Right to Vote," by Martin
Luther King, Jr., The New York Times, Sunday Magazine,
March 14, 1965.

used to intimidate Black.voters and thus deny them this
most precious franchise. The investigations into the
absentee voting process were conducted only in the Black
Belt counties where blacks had finally achieved political
power in the local government. Whites had been using the
absentee process to their advantage for years, without
incident. Then, when Blacks, realizing its strength, began
to use it with success, criminal investigations were begun.
In these investigations, Mr. Sessions, as U.S. Attorney,
exhibited an eagerness to bring to trial and convict three
leaders of the Perry County Civic League including Albert
Turner despite evidence clearly demonstrating their innocence
of any wrongdoing. Furthermore, in initiating the case,
Mr. Sessions ignored allegations of similar behavior by whites,
choosing instead to chill the exercise of the franchise by
blacks by his misguided investigation. In fact, Mr. Sessions
sought to punish older black civil rights activists, advisers
and colleagues of my husband, who had been key figures in
the civil rights movement in the 1960's. These were persons
who, realizing the potential of the absentee vote among
Blacks, had learned to use the process within the bounds of
legality and had taught others to do the same. The only
sin they committed was being too successful in gaining votes.

The scope and character of the investigations conducted
by Mr. Sessions also warrant grave concern. Witnesses were
selectively chosen in accordance with the favorability of
their testimony to the government's case. Also, the
prosecution illegally withheld from the defense critical
statements made by witnesses. Witnesses who did testify
were pressured and intimidated into submitting the "correct"
testimony. Many elderly blacks were visited multiple times
by the FBI who then hauled them over 180 miles by bus to a
grand jury in Mobile when they could more easily have
testified at a grand jury twenty miles away in Selma.

These voters, and others, have announced they are now
never going to vote again.

I urge you to consider carefully Mr. Sessions' conduct
in these matters. Such a review, I believe, raises serious
questions about his commitment to the protection of the
voting rights of all American citizens and consequently his
fair and unbiased judgment regarding this fundamental right.
When the circumstances and facts surrounding the indictments
of Al Turner, his wife, Evelyn, and Spencer Hogue are
analyzed, it becomes clear that the motivation was political,
and the result frightening the wide-scale chill of the
exercise of the ballot for blacks, who suffered so much to
receive that right in the first place. Therefore, it is
my strongly-held view that the appointment of Jefferson Sessions
to the federal bench would irreparably damage the work of
my husband, Al Turner, and countless others who risked their
lives and freedom over the past twenty years to ensure equal
participation in our democratic system.

The exercise of the franchise is an essential means
by which our citizens ensure that those who are governing
will be responsible. My husband called it the number one
civil right. The denial of access to the ballot box ultimately
results in the denial of other fundamental rights. For, it
is only when the poor and disadvantaged are empowered that
they are able to participate actively in the solutions to
their own problems.

We still have a long way to go before we can say that
minorities no longer need be concerned about discrimination
at the polls. Blacks, Hispanics, Native Americans and Asian
Americans are grossly underrepresented at every level of
government in America. If we are going to make our timeless
dream of justice through democracy a reality, we must take
every possible step to ensure that the spirit and intent of
the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the Fifteenth Amendment
of the Constitution is honored.

The federal courts hold a unique position in our
constitutional system, ensuring that minorities and other
citizens without political power have a forum in which to
vindicate their rights. Because of this unique role, it is
essential that the people selected to be federal judges
respect the basic tenets of our legal syStem: respect for
individual rights and a commitment to equal justice for all.

The integrity of the Courts, and thus the rights they protect,
can only be maintained if citizens feel confident that those
selected as federal judges will be able to judge with fairness
others holding differing views.

I do not believe Jefferson Sessions possesses the
requisite judgment, competence, and sensitivity to the
rights guaranteed by the federal civil rights laws to qualify
for appointment to the federal district court. Based on
his record, I believe his confirmation would have a devas-
tating effect on not only the judicial system in Alabama,
but also on the progress we have made everywhere toward
fulfilling my husband's dream that he envisioned over twenty
years ago. I therefore urge the Senate Judiciary Committee
to deny his confirmation.

I thank you for allowing me to share my views.

Subsequent to all the above, Republican nazis in the Senate voted to confirm Sessions, ramrodding the nomination through.  We now have a racist, misogynist, national socialist as United States Attorney General.  A raucous, boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Sieg Heil!, you nazi bastard.  You're out of uniform.  Where is your swastika armband, you fascist piece of shit?

Rosa Brooks is a former senior advisor at the U.S. State Department.  In an editorial, she opines there are four possible ways to remove the Trump nazi from office.  One is particularly chilling.  Foreign Policy reports:

"The fourth possibility is one that until recently I would have said was unthinkable in the United States of America: a military coup, or at least a refusal by military leaders to obey certain orders."

A military coup would result in our formerly great country being no more than a banana republic.  It is already law that military personnel have the duty to refuse an illegal order.

In chilling follow up to the above, The Washington Post reports:

"Steve Thompson was on his way to pick up some feed for his goat farm Sunday morning when he noticed an impressive-looking military convoy and started filming. When he neared the lead vehicle in the convoy, the 32-year-old Shepherdsville, Ky., man noticed something else: A large blue and white Trump campaign flag."

What could they possibly have been thinking?

“I just thought it was just a bunch of military vehicles,” Thompson, who was driving near Louisville at the time, told the Lexington Herald Leader. “I was surprised because I figured you wouldn’t be able to fly anything on a Humvee other than an American flag.”  The Navy has since confirmed that the convoy was from a Virginia Beach-based special warfare unit."

Interesting, isn't it?  Frightening, as well.

"For some, military personnel publicly endorsing a political candidate exacerbates existing fears about American institutions falling prey to an administration that has been accused of having authoritarian impulses. For others, the flag was little more than a patriotic celebration highlighting the peaceful transfer of power.  The Navy has an opinion as well: The display was “unauthorized.”

The military, for damned good reason, is supposed to be non-partisan.

"Navy Capt. Jason Salata, a spokesman for Naval Special Warfare Command, said Thursday that his headquarters is aware of the photographs and has launched an inquiry.  The action could run afoul of a Defense Department directive that bans service members from acting in political manners while on active duty. Among the specific actions banned are displaying political signs or banners on a private vehicle and displaying a “partisan political sign, poster, banner or similar device” outside a residence on a military base."

All this, for damned good reason.

"Reached by email, Lt. Jacqui Maxwell, a spokeswoman for Naval Special Warfare Group Two, released a statement confirming that the vehicles captured on video and cameras were based in Fort Knox, Ky., and were driven by members of an East Coast Naval Special Warfare unit. At the time, she noted, the convoy was traveling between two military training areas.  “Department of Defense and Navy regulations prescribe flags and pennants that may be displayed as well as the manner of display,” the statement said. “The flag shown in the video was unauthorized. A command inquiry into this matter has been initiated.”

Again, there is damn good reason for this.

“Naval Special Warfare strives to maintain the highest level of readiness, effectiveness, discipline, efficiency, integrity, and public confidence,” the statement continued. “To this end, Naval Special Warfare leaders are committed to thoroughly and impartially investigating all non-frivolous allegations of misconduct.  Where misconduct is present, the Naval Special Warfare commander responsible for ensuring good order and discipline within his unit will make a disposition decision as to the appropriate administrative and/or disciplinary action, if any.”

The following is quite interesting:

"The videos were widely circulated by Indivisible Kentucky, a newly formed political organization that is opposed to the Trump agenda. The Louisville-based organization was among the first to post the footage online.  “This is a fascist tactic,” a statement on the group’s website said. “This is not acceptable. RESIST!!!”

Indeed.

"Chris Rowzee, a 28-year Air Force veteran who serves as the group’s spokeswoman, said the display should be disturbing to members of the military and the public and raises “all kinds of red flags.”  Members of the military take an oath to the Constitution, not political figures, she said."

That's right.  That's what makes this so dangerous, egregiously un-American.

“The military is absolutely prohibited from demonstrating any sort of partisan political activity or support towards a party, political campaign or a candidate,” Rowzee said. “The bottom line is the public has to trust that the military is non-political and that it’s not going to back someone who might try to become some sort of a dictator.”  “Our military has a long history of that sort of security with the public and this sort of activity undermines that trust,” she added."

Indeed, it does.  Good to see there are at least a few patriots out there who see the danger, are willing to stand up against it.  Saddest of all?  Most chilling?  Most dangerous aspect of this fiasco?  The unit involved was the best of the best.  U.S. Navy SEALS.

ABC News reports:

"The company building the controversial Dakota Access Pipeline is seeking a ruling that would allow it to seal or redact “sensitive information” in a court filing to prevent what it characterizes as potential terrorists or other malicious actors from using the information to damage the pipeline.  "Given the intense amount of public attention this pipeline has received, and the unlawful activity already experienced, there is a greater than typical risk that this information would be misused to harm the public," the filing states."

Has nothing to do with 'security.'  Has all to do with stonewalling a suit brought against them by the Standing Rock Sioux and Cheyenne River Sioux Tribes.

"The motion for a protective order on the documents was filed late Wednesday by Dakota Access, LLC, in federal court in Washington, D.C., in connection with civil litigation brought by the Standing Rock Sioux and Cheyenne River Sioux Tribes against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Dakota Access."

The following is yet another egregiously chilling insight into the Trump nazi and his henchmen.  Get this.  ABC News reports:

"The new deputy director of the CIA is a career spymaster who once ran a CIA prison in Thailand where terror suspects were waterboarded — a harsh interrogation technique President Donald Trump has supported."

A war crime.

"CIA Director Mike Pompeo announced Thursday that he has selected Gina Haspel to be the first female career CIA officer to be named deputy director. She has extensive overseas experience, including several stints as chief of station at outposts abroad. In Washington, she has held several top senior leadership positions, including deputy director of the National Clandestine Service and deputy director of the National Clandestine Service for Foreign Intelligence and Covert Action.  She also had a role in the CIA's former covert program where suspected terrorists were subjected to harsh interrogation methods, including waterboarding, which simulates drowning. More than a decade after it was last used, the CIA is still haunted by the legacy of a tactic that the U.S. government regarded as torture before the Bush administration authorized its use against terrorist suspects."

All these pieces of traitorous nazi shit remain unprosecuted war criminals.  As previously reported in this publication, Japanese Gen. Tomoyuki Yamashita was executed at the end of the Second World War for war crimes committed by his troops.  One of these crimes?  Waterboarding.

2-10-17

The Trump nazi has certainly emboldened Republican national socialists here in Nazi Texas.  Think not?  Wake up.  The Statesman reports:

"The State Board of Education gave preliminary approval Friday to a biology curriculum for public high school students that challenges the theory of evolution."

Also believe the earth is flat?

"Over the summer, the board tasked a committee to whittle down the high school biology curriculum standards to help teachers lessen the material they must teach.  The committee voted to pare down or remove language that challenges the theory of evolution which had been originally implemented in 2009."

Then, Neanderthal Republican nazis decidedly, ignorantly took a step backwards to the cave:

"Board member Barbara Cargill, R-The Woodlands, offered to restore most of the language on Wednesday and fellow Republican members, which make up a majority of the board, agreed.  The five Democrats on the panel opposed the move."

Interesting, isn't it?

"Democratic board members said earlier this week that the standards would invite creationism and intelligent design into the classroom."

No more than voodoo non-science.  Precisely, the agenda of GOP nazis.  That is, force their outrageously perverse religious and ideological views on all.  In direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is, church-state separation, freedom from religion.

2-10-17

The Trump nazi's nominee for Education Secretary has been confirmed.  NPR Ed reports:

"Today the Senate confirmed Betsy DeVos as President Trump's education secretary, 51-50. Vice President Pence had to cast an unprecedented tie-breaking vote, after hearings that became fodder for Saturday Night Live; after angry constituents swamped Senate offices with 1.5 million calls a day; after two Republican senators defected; and Democrats held the floor overnight in protest."

Yet, another sad, sad day in Trump nazi Hell.  This woman is egregiously unqualified.  Is no more than a billionaire oligarch with a national socialist agenda she's desperate to impose.  Including vouchers funded by taxpayers to send kids to religious schools.  In direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is church-state separation, freedom from religion.

Why the hell should taxpayers be looted to send a kid to an Evangelical school to be taught religious fascism?  Yet, these goddamned nazis fervently support the Hyde Amendment that proscribes taxpayer funding of abortion?  This is supposed to be a democratic republic, not a supposedly 'Christian' theocracy.  Yet, that's exactly what our formerly great country is becoming.  A raucous, boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Sieg Heil!, you fascist bastards in the Republican Party.

2-10-17

Here is an interesting thought.  Could it be the Trump nazi's mental instability and bizarre behavior could be side effects of a drug he's reportedly taking for hair loss?  This is no jokeThe Washington Post reports:

"President Trump’s personal physician recently revealed that the president takes finasteride, a drug used to combat male-pattern baldness. The medication has been in the news for another reason: its potential side effects.  ... The constellation of potential symptoms, sometimes referred to as post-finasteride syndrome, may include sexual, physical and psychological changes.  ... At the same time, a recent study demonstrated changes in the levels of certain steroids in cerebrospinal fluid of men taking finasteride for hair loss. These steroids have been shown to influence brain function, and their presence may help explain the profound psychological changes such as depression and suicidality that have been associated with finasteride use.  ... Whether this medication is safe for individuals holding political office has not been studied."

2-10-17

The Trump nazi and his henchmen are circulating an executive order draft on 'religious' 'liberty' that could profoundly affect the LGBT community.  ABC News reports:

"A draft of an executive order on "religious freedom" is circulating in the Trump administration, outlining a possible weakening of protections designed to shield LGBT individuals from discrimination, according to a copy of the proposed order obtained by ABC News.  The order — which may never become administration policy, depending on internal deliberations — would also free some private companies from being forced to provide contraceptive coverage as part of the health plans they offer employees. And it would open the door for tax-exempt entities to speak out "on moral or political issues from a religious perspective" without fear of losing favored tax status."

If this becomes reality, would be an exigent threat to the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is church-state separation, freedom from religion.  Would affect far more than just the LGBT community.

2-10-17

Yet another example of sick religion.  WPIX-TV New York reports:

"A Queens Roman Catholic community is fighting back Tuesday after a reports that a beloved priest shared an image on social media suggesting anti-Trump protesters should jump off a building and die."

Nothing quite like 'Christian' 'charity,' is there?

"Father Phillip Pizzo is a reverend at Saint Benedict Joseph Labre Church in Richmond Hill. The preaching in politics drama started when he posted a picture on Facebook, with an apparent message for those who are in disagreement with the President. It said #JumpAgainst Trump and shows a man falling to his death."

Sick religion.  In an increasingly sick country.

2-10-17

The Trump nazi's Cabinet nominees seem to have unethically lined their pockets, yet most of them will likely get confirmed.  NPR reports:

"Georgia Republican Tom Price, who is President-elect Trump's choice to run the Department of Health and Human Services, is suddenly drowning in questions over the investments he has made while serving in the House of Representatives.  The issue: Did Price use his position to influence the stock prices of companies he had invested in? Or, alternatively, did he buy shares in companies ahead of actions in Congress that might boost their value?"

Highly unlikely we'll ever get answers since GOP nazis are ramrodding these oligarchs through the confirmation process.

2-10-17

Not clear yet whether or not the Trump nazi and his henchmen are telling the truth vis a vis the recent failed Yemen raid by U.S. Navy SEALS.  One thing for sure, sadly, one of our country's finest was killed in the raid, Navy Chief Special Warfare Operator William Owens.  Reportedly, children and other civilians were also killed.

NPR reports:

"A terrorist video released on Friday by the Pentagon to show what it called intelligence gleaned by the recent raid in Yemen actually was made about 10 years ago, it acknowledged."

Pitiful, isn't it?  Where's the professionalism?

"Critics in Congress and within the national security establishment – speaking without identification in press reports – have called the Yemen raid botched.  They accused the White House of hurrying troops into an operation with bad intelligence, or pressing commanders to go ahead with a raid after it lost its element of surprise."

We don't yet know whether or not that's true.

"SEAL Team Six and its partners attacked the AQAP target early on Sunday, as NPR's Alice Fordham and Tom Bowman have detailed. The U.S. says some 14 terrorists were killed in the operation, which also claimed the life of an unknown number of civilians – including women and children – and Navy Chief Special Warfare Operator William Owens.  An American MV-22 Osprey aircraft also crash-landed, injuring its crew, and U.S. troops went on to deliberately destroy it to keep it from being compromised."

Sadly, we'll likely never know the truth about this operation.  The Trump nazi and his henchmen will likely do all they can to stonewall, claiming "national 'security.'"  At the very least, to cover their ass.  Obfuscate personal failure up the chain of command right up to and including the Trump nazi.

In another article, NPR reports:

"One local man, Sadeq al-Jawfi, was monitoring the battle from his village about 3 miles away, in constant telephone contact with men from his tribe who were visiting the Dhahab family.  American officials described the raid as an attack on a compound. But Jawfi's description was of a family house in a village with similar houses, albeit one with guard posts, where people were well-armed.  The Dhahabs and other families fought against the American raiders, who called in air support. The bombardment struck houses in which families were sheltering."

Still no confirmation from the United States Government whether or not this is true.

"Jawfi told NPR that 24 people were killed and provided a list of names including nine men, six women and nine children. He has served on a body known as a de-escalation committee, which works with the U.S.-recognized Yemeni government in coordination with the United Nations to try to quell violence in the troubled country."

Interesting, isn't it?  This has the appearance of a botched raid:

"The tribal delegation visiting Sheikh Abdelraouf al-Dhahab was still talking in the very early hours of the morning last Sunday when his nephew, Abdullah, noticed strangers approaching on foot across the rocky, inhospitable terrain of central Yemen.  "Who are you?" Abdullah called out into the night. "Who are you?"  The men shot him dead."

Element of surprise?  Gone.

"Startled by the gunfire, the Dhahab family scrambled to take up its own weapons and defend its house.  According to accounts by locals, this was the way the battle began with U.S. special operations forces and some of their allies, which would unfold over several hours on the ground — and end with an aerial bombardment."

Seems at least this is true.

"By around 5 a.m. Sunday, the raiders were gone and the skies were clear, locals said. Abdullah al-Taissi, a tribal sheikh who lives in the village and confirmed much of Jawfi's account, watched the attack from his house.  "I walked out of my house when it was over and began burying the dead," he said. "By noon, we were done."  Taissi said he counted about 28 bodies. Abdelraouf was among the dead, as was his brother, Sultan, and a tribal sheikh named Saif al-Jawfi."

Again, we still don't know the truth.  Trump's press secretary seemed to determinedly obfuscate:

"In Washington, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said the raid — which he called "very, very well thought out and executed" — had yielded valuable intelligence about al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula.  The local witnesses disputed that, saying the special operations troops never entered any buildings to take any computers or documents."

Interesting, isn't it?  Certainly, in light of the fact the Pentagon presented a decade's old video as supposedly new intelligence seized in the raid.

"Spicer said 14 of those killed were AQAP terrorists. Sadeq al-Jawfi also disputed that Abdelraouf al-Dhahab was a member of AQAP — though he did not deny family connections with the group."

This certainly provides at least some credibility.

"Look," Jawfi said, "there were brothers who had connections to al-Qaida, this is true." But the three Dhahab brothers he named were already dead before Sunday's raid — two killed by drone strikes and one by a fourth brother."

The Trump nazi and his henchmen could certainly provide evidence to the contrary, -- if Jawfi is indeed a liar.

"Jawfi said Dhahab was working with the displaced Yemeni government that the U.S. and its allies have been supporting against Houthi rebels, who are armed and supported by Iran.  In fact, Jawfi said, Dhahab had just returned from a trip to Maarib province to collect money to pay the salaries of pro-government fighters."

Is he lying?  We don't know.

"The Yemeni government's foreign minister condemned the attack. A spokesman for the armed forces confirmed to local news media that Dhahab had been working for them.  "Abdelraouf al-Dhahab was not a terrorist or connected to any radical group," said Mohsen Khasrouf, the spokesman. "We are surprised this has happened."

Someone's lying.  Guess who?

"Also conflicted: Women in the compound may have started out as bystanders but became combatants when they took up weapons from the dead men, said one senior U.S. military official. Thus they would have posed a threat to the special operations raiders, complicating the issue of which casualties were civilian."

Indeed, that's true.  Certainly, a possibility this happened.  We don't yet know.

"Central Command may answer some of these questions in its investigation, but given the highly sensitive nature of U.S. special operations, the information may not become public."

This is the problem.  No transparency.  Therefore, no clear clue as to who is and isn't lying.  One thing for sure, however.  Despite the mayhem and all that went wrong, the SEALS had a field day.  Only one casualty suffered, many more killed on the other side.  For what?  Nothing?

Subsequent to writing the above, NBC News had the following take:

"Almost immediately, the raiding force on the ground took intense fire, according to the briefing paper and a senior military official. Occupants of the targeted house and its compound, along with their guard force, moved to a separate cluster of houses nearby where families, including women and children, were staying. Armed women fired on the U.S. and Emirati forces.  "There were a lot of female combatants who were part of this," said Navy Capt. Jeff Davis, the Pentagon's chief spokesman, on Monday. "We saw during this operation, as it was taking place, that female fighters ran to pre-established positions — as though they had trained to be ready, and trained to be combatants — and engaged with us."

In another NBC News article, it is reported:

"In what an official said was the first military raid carried out under President Donald Trump, two Americans were killed in Yemen on Sunday — one a member of SEAL Team 6 and the other the 8-year-old daughter of Anwar al-Awlaki, the New Mexico-born al Qaeda leader who himself was killed in a U.S. strike five years ago."

The dead girl, like her late father, is an American citizen.  Her mother was wounded, but survived the raid.

"Karen Greenberg, director of Fordham University's Center on National Security, said the girl's death will be a boon to al Qaeda propagandists.  "The perception will be that it's not enough to kill al-Awlaki — that the U.S. had to kill the entire family," she said."

In follow up to the above, another NBC News article reports:

"The Navy SEAL raid in Yemen last week had a secret objective — the head of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, who survived and is now taunting President Donald Trump in an audio message.  Military and intelligence officials told NBC News the goal of the massive operation was to capture or kill Qassim al-Rimi, considered the third most dangerous terrorist in the world and a master recruiter.  But while one SEAL, 14 al Qaeda fighters and some civilians, including an 8-year-old girl, were killed during a firefight, al-Rimi is still alive and in Yemen, multiple military officials said."

Interesting, isn't it?

"On Sunday, al-Rimi — who landed on the United States' most-wanted terrorist list after taking over al Qaeda's Yemen affiliate in 2015 — released an audio recording that military sources said is authentic.  "The fool of the White House got slapped at the beginning of his road in your lands," he said in an apparent reference to the Jan. 29 raid."

The Pentagon spokesman is denying all:

"The White House — which had declared the raid "a successful operation by all standards" — had no comment Monday.  The Pentagon also declined to comment on Monday. But on Tuesday, its chief spokesman, Navy Capt. Jeff Davis disputed that al-Rimi was the target of the raid.  "I can tell you it's not true," he said, adding that the military "never had any hope, intention or plan" of killing or capturing the AQAP leader in the operation."

Someone is lying.  Guess who?  ... Think we'll ever know the truth?

The Trump nazi's Aryan arrogance does not bode well for international relations.  Certainly, enflames what's going on in the Middle East.  NBC News reports:

"Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei used a rare public speech Tuesday to dismiss Donald Trump's "threats" on missile tests, saying the president "showed the real face of America."

Certainly, sadly, the growing view of many in the international community, including our closest allies in Europe and elsewhere.

"Trump himself put Iran "on notice" via Twitter, saying Tehran is "playing with fire — they don't appreciate how 'kind' President Obama was to them. Not me!"

"I don't know Putin, have no deals in Russia, and the haters are going crazy - yet Obama can make a deal with Iran, #1 in terror, no problem!
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 7, 2017"

Trump again stupidly provided the Iranians with fodder:

"Khamenei seized on that, asking: "He says we should be grateful to Obama? We should be thankful because he brought war and bloodshed to Syria and Iraq and he supported the 2009 demonstrations here, that's what we should be thankful of?  "We are thankful to Trump for making our life easy as he showed the real face of America," he said. "During his election campaign and after that, he confirmed what we have been saying for more than 30 years about the political, economic, moral and social corruption in the U.S. ruling system."  "Trump has said we should be scared and frightened of him … we will show on the anniversary of our revolution how we respond to his threats," Khamenei told his audience, adding: "No enemy can paralyze Iran."

2-10-17

The Trump nazi and his henchmen are not only bold faced lying, they seem to be doing all they can to obfuscate the truth, intentionally destroying any semblance of transparency.  NPR reports:

"The Trump White House has taken such direct, adversarial aim at the news media that it may obscure a more fundamental concern of transparency advocates: whether the administration is constricting the flow of reliable information to the public."

It is.  There is no question.  Not surprisingly?  Denying timely information to U.S. Senators including Sen. Marco Rubio vis a vis the immigration executive order.

"For the record, State Department spokesman Mark Toner said the department had been in contact with lawmakers and would "provide information and assistance as we are able."

Doesn't appear to be so, -- at least to Sen. Rubio.

"Left unsaid: The White House shared little information with officials at State, Homeland Security and other departments and agencies. White House press secretary Sean Spicer did not reply to a request for comment about the administration's approach about distributing information."

Can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.  When that fails?  Release no information at all.

2-10-17

In follow up to the above, get this.  NPR reports:

"President Trump, in another broadside against the news media, on Monday accused "the dishonest press" of failing to report terrorist attacks.  But in a list put out by the White House later Monday evening, many of the attacks cited, such as the attack the Orlando night club shooting last June and 2015 attacks in San Bernardino, Calif., and Paris were extensively covered by the media around the clock."

Wouldn't want to confuse the Trump nazi, his henchmen, clueless sick sycophants with the truth, would we?

The following is the take from CBS News:

"A woman in England is chiding the White House for including the attack that left her 20-year-old daughter dead on its list of purportedly under-reported terrorist attacks.  The list, released Monday in an effort to provide evidence for President Trump’s assertion that the U.S. media is deliberately not covering acts of terrorism by Islamic extremists, includes the August 2016 fatal stabbing in Queensland, Australia of Mia Ayliffe-Chung.

Not true.

"CBS News did cover -- in some cases heavily but at least to some extent -- more than 74 percent of the attacks on the White House’s list, including a post on CBSNews.com about the attack in Australia soon after it happened. In that post, it was noted that the perpetrator (whose identity had not been confirmed at the time) reportedly shouted “God is great,” in Arabic, during the attack."

In another CBS News article:

"In his first speech to troops as commander in chief, President Trump told soldiers at MacDill Air Force Base the media was ignoring the reality of terrorism.  “ISIS is on a campaign of genocide, committing atrocities across the world,” Mr. Trump said. “It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported, and in many cases, the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it.”

Say what?

"The president offered no examples to the bewildered soldiers; neither did Press Secretary Sean Spicer.  “Yeah… we’ll provide a list later,” Spicer said.  The White House eventually produced a list that was riddled with spelling errors. It falsely claimed that most of the 78 attacks motivated by ISIS from September 2014 to December 2016 “have not received the media attention they deserved.”

Unadulterated bullshit.  A bold faced lie.

"The White House knows these events were covered and the accusation would lead news organizations to remind their audiences of the events, thereby distracting attention from the president’s legal woes with his immigration order, while reviving fears of terrorism the order is supposedly designed to address."

Indeed.  ... Can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.

In follow up, NPR reports:

"Rosie Ayliffe, the mother of a young woman stabbed to death last year at a hostel in Queensland, Australia, says she is "affronted" by the inclusion of her daughter's death on a Trump administration list of what it calls underreported terrorist attacks.  The reference to her daughter's killing was "at best a crass and callous error," Ayliffe wrote in The Guardian on Wednesday, saying that her daughter's death was ugly and brutal — but not a terrorist attack."

The Trump nazi has no honor.  Wouldn't know truth if it figuratively bit him hard on the ass.

2-10-17

The Trump nazi's strange behavior is growing increasingly bizarre.  ABC News reports:

"President Donald Trump's heated rush to launch what he said would be a "major investigation" into voter fraud has cooled, leaving White House staff uncertain when it will come to pass or what shape it will take."

Fascinating, isn't it?

2-10-17

The Trump nazi's clueless supporters want an ideology test for immigrants.  What are they talking about?  'Extreme vetting' has already gone on for years.  Takes quite some time and many interviews before an immigrant is allowed into this country.  Not truly about ideology anyway, is it?  Rather, religion.  What is and is not acceptable to the Republican Nazi Right.

NPR reports:

"This is all of intense concern for refugee advocates. The most pressing refugee need today is among Syrians — some 5 million have fled the country's civil war. The vast majority are Muslim.  "It's clearly Muslim-targeted," says Muna Jondy, a Michigan immigration lawyer of Syrian descent who's been fielding frantic calls from refugee families in the U.S. whose relatives are now barred from joining them.  She points out the refugee screening process already targets those with extreme Islamist views via counter-terrorism vetting, which checks for links to radical Islamist groups."

Not good enough for the Trump nazi, his henchmen, clueless GOP rank and file gutless national socialists:

"But the president appears to echo opinions of a web of supporters who have warned about the wider "dangers" of Islam and more recently have called for rigorous ideological vetting. His national security adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, has called fear of Islam "rational" and equates Islam with a political ideology."

This is precisely why Flynn is egregiously unfit for office.  ... An achingly ignorant Islamaphobe who has gutlessly disgraced himself.  Raising the question, who's next?  Today, Muslims.  Tomorrow?

2-10-17

The Trump nazi is being sued.  In the last two weeks, more than 50 suits.  NPR reports:

"Donald Trump has been president for two weeks, and he is already facing dozens of lawsuits over White House policies and his personal business dealings. That's far more than his predecessors faced in their first days on the job. The lawsuits started on Inauguration Day, and they haven't let up."

That's good.  Need far more of the same.

"Most of the 50-plus lawsuits filed so far relate to the travel ban on refugees and nationals from seven mostly-Muslim countries that Trump ordered on Jan. 27. They were filed in 17 different states by doctors, professors, students, people fleeing violence and Iraqis who have worked for the U.S. military."

Suits will certainly exponentially expand in nature and frequency as the Trump nazi and his henchmen desperately try to impose The Fourth Reich.

2-10-17

The Washington Times reports:

"President Trump’s deliberate targeting of the mainstream media and asylum seekers alike has hardly hurt the coffers of either The New York Times or the American Civil Liberties Union. The newspaper and civil rights group separately revealed figures this week that suggest a recent surge in support in spite of ongoing attacks from the Oval Office."

Encouraging, isn't it?  Unless, of course, you happen to be a GOP fascist here in Nazi Llano County.

"The Times on Thursday announced that the number of digital and print subscriptions to the newspaper recently surpassed the 3 million mark for the first time in its history, notwithstanding increasing criticism courtesy of the commander-in-chief.

"A record 3 million people now subscribe to The New York Times. Facts matter. Thanks to all who support independent journalism.
    — The New York Times (@nytimes) February 2, 2017"

Indeed, "facts do matter."  ...Not to the Trump nazi and his henchmen, however.  To say nothing of his clueless national socialist GOP shills here.  ... Right, TL?

"The ACLU, meanwhile, reported receiving $24.1 million from online donors last weekend as its attorneys scrambled to provide legal aid to foreigners impacted by a broad executive order authorized by Mr. Trump last Friday imposing travel restrictions on citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries.  Both entities announced the recent spike in support this week amid Mr. Trump’s ongoing comments critical of asylum seekers and journalism alike. Despite prompting criticism recently over his executive order as well as frequent attacks against the press, however, the president has continued to make controversial remarks concerning either this week from his official Twitter account."

Proof positive, the Trump nazi remains achingly truth challenged.  No more than a delusional bold faced liar.

2-10-17

From the most recent "Screws Loose" Newsletter, Sen. Ted Cruz opines:

"Last year, after the unexpected passing of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, the Senate drew a line in the sand on the behalf of the American people. Exercising our constitutional authority, we advised President Obama that we would not consent to a Supreme Court nominee until We the People, in the presidential election, were able to choose between an originalist and a progressive vision of the Constitution. This week, President Trump nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch, who is a brilliant and immensely talented jurist."

First, Senator you and your fellow GOP nazis abrogated your oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution by refusing to grant Obama's pick a hearing.  Second, Republican stonewalling of Obama's pick was pointless since he, like Gorsuch, would have simply and egregiously legislated his perverse Republican ideology and religious beliefs from the bench.  Both men are Republican national socialists.

Either GOP nazi would and will, like Scalia, legislate their perverse ideological and religious views from the bench.  A raucous boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Sieg Heil!, you achingly clueless, fascist son of a bitch.  You're out of uniform, Senator.  Where is your swastika armband?

2-10-17

Democratic rank and file are certainly letting their displeasure be known to party bigwigs.  NPR reports:

"Aggrieved at what they perceive as acquiescence to President Trump's agenda, liberal demonstrators have begun taking a page out of a doctor's playbook: They are making house calls.  On Tuesday night, more than 4,000 protesters signed up to pay a visit to the Brooklyn apartment of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. The Facebook event — bluntly named "What the f***, Chuck?!" — called on the New York senator to show "no appeasement, no dealmaking, no collaboration."

One doesn't have to be a Democrat or a liberal to want ferocious but peaceful resistance to the Trump nazi and his henchmen.  It's the rise of fascism that needs to be ferociously but peacefully challenged.

"In deep-blue California on Sunday, a group of protesters headed to Sen. Dianne Feinstein's house in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco.  "Hey hey, ho ho, Jeff Sessions — just say no!" the demonstrators chanted, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.  FiveThirtyEight has ranked Feinstein among the Democratic senators who have shown the most support for Trump's nominees."

Although a Democrat, Feinstein is no liberal.  Far from it.  She is where the Center was some sixty years ago.  Regardless:

"Feinstein's voting record so far didn't sit well with the protesters outside her home, or with progressives at large. Among the Democratic base, there is not exactly a climate for compromise at the moment."

This has been a problem for quite some time now.  Dating back to the Clinton regime.  ... And no, you don't compromise with a nazi.  Never, under any circumstances.  ... As Neville Chamberlain and the rest of the world learned at horrendous cost decades ago.  It's called appeasement.

2-10-17

The Trump nazi is certainly an anachronism.  A throw back to a time when our formerly great country acted like the Nazis it was soon to engage in the Second World War.  Think not?  Wake up.  The Washington Times reports:

"Actor and progressive activist George Takei penned a scathing op-ed Tuesday slamming President Trump as an “American terrorist” for his executive order temporarily barring travel from seven majority-Muslim nations.  Mr. Takei, a Japanese-American who was born in Los Angeles in 1937, said Mr. Trump’s order reminds him of the pain and suffering he and his family experienced being forced into a Japanese internment camp during World War II."

How quickly and readily the Nazi Right ignores history.  This was done by a nazi executive order by the President of the United States at the time.  A Democrat.

“I will never forget the terrorizing morning two soldiers marched up the driveway of my family’s two-bedroom home in Los Angeles carrying rifles with shiny bayonets. They stomped up the front porch and pounded on the front door with their fists,” the former “Star Trek” star wrote for the New York Daily News.  “Tears were streaming down my mother’s face as we left,” he said. “For my parents, it was a degrading, humiliating, terrifying experience.”

Wake up.  You've been bamboozled.  The Trump nazi and his henchmen remain an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

“We would love for him to get a little education on this important chapter in history,” Mr. Takei wrote. “But it likely wouldn’t change his mind.”  “He is ignorant, and because of his ignorance, he is fearful,” he said. “Actually, the real terrorist is Donald Trump. He’s the American terrorist.”

Indeed, he is.

2-10-17

The truth always has a way of coming out no matter what.  No matter how much the Trump nazi and his henchmen desperately try to suppress it.  The Washington Post reports:

"Over 100,000 visas have been revoked as a result of President Trump’s ban on travel from seven predominantly Muslim countries, an attorney for the government revealed in Alexandria federal court Friday."

2-10-17

Continued trouble in paradise.  ABC News reports:

"President Donald Trump's comment equating Russia under Vladimir Putin to the United States has drawn sharply negative reactions from people in both parties.  Trump told Fox News in an interview set to air prior to the Super Bowl on Sunday that he respects Putin.  "I do respect him," Trump told Fox News’ Bill O'Reilly.  When O'Reilly said, "Putin is a killer," Trump responded, "A lot of killers. We got a lot of killers. What, you think our country's so innocent?"

Sadly, Trump is right about this.  We are far from innocent.  His comment, however, raised a firestorm.

"Republicans were quick to rebuke Trumps statement Sunday morning. “I don’t think there’s any equivalency,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “America is exceptional. There’s a clear distinction here.”

Trump certainly, concertedly runs counter to orthodox Republican ideology.

"Sen. Marco Rubio, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, tweeted a reference to political assassinations to help draw the distinction between the U.S. and Putin's Russia.  "When has a Democratic political activists been poisoned by the GOP, or vice versa? We are not the same as #Putin," said the senator, who is a outspoken critic of the Russian president.

"When has a Democratic political activists been poisoned by the GOP, or vice versa? We are not the same as #Putin. MR
    — Marco Rubio (@marcorubio) February 5, 2017"

One thing for sure, -- we just don't know.  The CIA, reportedly, repeatedly attempted to kill Fidel Castro.  Was certainly involved in the killing of Allende some forty-five years ago.  The lack of transparency 'justified' by "national 'security'" concerns precludes ever knowing the truth.  Convenient, isn't it?  Frightening, as well.

At least, there is one conservative willing to speak the truth:

"David French, a writer for the conservative magazine The National Review, suggested that if a Democrat had made the same comment as Trump they would have been quickly condemned by conservatives.

"You won't see many conservatives defend Trump's Russia comment. They'll be silent, but they'll know they'd race to Fox to condemn a Dem.
    — David French (@DavidAFrench) February 5, 2017"

There is no doubt about this.  Partisanship nearly always trumps principle.  Both parties.

2-10-17

The damage done by the late, not-so-great Justice Antonin Scalia continues to reverberate.  ABC News reports:

"One year later, the 49-year-old Colorado native is President Donald Trump's pick to replace Scalia as the Republican leader heeded calls by many conservatives to find someone as near to a Scalia philosophical clone as possible."

That is, they want a replacement that is concertedly narrow minded, more than willing to legislate his outrageously perverse ideological and religious views from the bench.  "Originalism" is disingenuously used to 'justify' this egregious faux pas.  In reality, no more than an empty excuse for continued repression, determined abrogation of liberty.

"Like Scalia, Gorsuch believes judges must focus primarily on the text of the 230-year-old Constitution and resolve legal disputes by following the Founding Fathers' intentions. Gorsuch has said that if judges factor in personal beliefs, societal changes or calculations about maximizing social welfare, they risk becoming "little more than politicians with robes."

This is the classical definition of "originalism."  An aching perversion of the intentions of the Founders.  If the Founders wished the Constitution to be the anachronism nazis on the Right desperately want, they would not have set up a government of three equal branches as a check and balance on the other.  Equally important, they would not have provided provision for amending the Constitution.

Nazis on the Right, to perpetrate their outrageously perverse ideological and religious views, determinedly perceive in terms of black and white.  No shades of gray.  No brilliant hues of color.  Remain deliberately narrow minded.  Want the Constitution to remain anachronistic, not a living, breathing template of a democratic republic.  To impose their religious and ideological views on all.

2-10-17

The Germans certainly know a nazi when they see one.  CNN reports:

"German magazine Der Spiegel has sparked fierce debate after depicting US President Donald Trump beheading the Statue of Liberty on its front cover."

The Germans certainly got it right.  Spot on.  Not only figuratively in terms of immigration, however.  More importantly?  Evisceration of all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

"The illustration by Edel Rodriguez, who arrived in the US as a political refugee from Cuba in 1980, has prompted both positive and negative reaction across the world."

That's good.  Time for all to finally wake up.

"Rodriguez's image shows a cartoon Trump holding a bloodied knife in his left hand with the statue's head in his right, while blood drips onto the floor.

"my new cover art for @DerSPIEGEL magazine pic.twitter.com/Lz4KH8ySGx
    — Edel Rodriguez (@edelstudio) February 3, 2017"

A wake up call.

"The caption "America First" accompanies the image on the cover of the weekly magazine."

Achingly, appropriate.  Especially since it is highly reminiscent, indeed a slogan not-so-cleverly 'borrowed' from German Nazi supporters here in the United States, including Charles Lindbergh, prior to the start of World War II by Hitler.

"It's a beheading of democracy, a beheading of a sacred symbol," Rodriguez told the Washington Post. He said he drew a link between ISIS and Trump, adding that "both sides are extremists, so I'm just making a comparison between them."

Indeed.  Timely.

2-10-17

Republican national socialists in Arkansas have certainly been emboldened by the Trump nazi.  Get this.  CNN reports:

"A new Arkansas law will let a husband sue a doctor to stop his wife from getting an abortion. And it makes no exception for cases of spousal rape."

... Hey, TL?  Fits right in with psychotic GOP fascists insanely believing they own the "'lil' lady," doesn't it?  No more than human chattel, right?  After all, don't Republican nazis also believe they own a woman's uterus?  Isn't that why these achingly clueless bastards do all they can to deprive women of the constitutional right to abortion?  After all, she's too damned stupid to decide for herself, isn't she?  You guys haughtily know what's 'best,' don't you?  More than willing to dictate to her what she can and cannot do, right?

"The law, called the Arkansas Unborn Child Protection From Dismemberment Abortion Act, was passed and signed by Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, and goes into effect later this year. It prohibits dismemberment abortion, the most common procedure used in second-trimester abortions."

Who the hell are these Republican nazis to, in effect, practice medicine without a license?  To force their outrageously perverse religious and ideological views on all?  In direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is church-state separation, freedom from religion.

"A clause in the law states that the husband of a woman getting the abortion can sue the doctor to stop his wife's abortion. The husband has to be the father of the child. And because there's no exemption in the law for rape or incest, a woman's rapist could theoretically file suit to stop the abortion."

How about that?  Sick religion.  Imposed by psychotic Republican nazis.

"The ACLU of Arkansas claims the law is unconstitutional and plans to challenge it in court before it goes into effect."

Excellent.  Go for it.  ... Hey, ladies?  Should this atrocious law go into effect, know what to do?  Cut the bastard off cold turkey.  No sex until repeal.

2-10-17

Growing discontent within the GOP vis a vis Obamacare.  CNN reports:

"Donald Trump vowed as a candidate to kill Obamacare in short order. But more than two weeks into his presidency, some Republicans are starting to ask: What happened to repealing the law quickly?  The sentiment is beginning to simmer within the influential conservative wing of the Republican Party and hints at what could be the opening of an intra-party rift as the GOP's mission to overhaul the country's health care system appears to be losing steam."

Happening for good reason.  Republican national socialists have no viable replacement.

Subsequent to writing the above, CBS News reports:

"President Trump is giving an extended timeline for when his administration could be expected to roll out a new plan to replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA), former President Obama’s landmark healthcare legislation.   In an interview with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly that aired Sunday, Mr. Trump made the vague assertion that it could take “’til sometime into next year.”

Again, the Trump nazi is stalling for time, moving the goal posts and delaying implementation since he and his henchmen still have no clue:

"Asked if Americans could expect a replacement plan in 2017, the president said, “yes, in the process and maybe it’ll take till sometime into next year but we’re certainly going to be in the process.”   He added that it’s “very complicated,” but urged Americans to remember that “Obamacare is a disaster.”

Certainly, turned out to be since national socialists in the GOP would not allow a single payer system.  ... A system that's worked remarkably well in Canada and Europe.

“Obamacare doesn’t work so we are putting in a wonderful plan,” Mr. Trump said."

What's that, precisely, Mr. 'President?'  Still no clue?

“It statutorily takes a while to get.  We’re going to be putting it in fairly soon. I think that yes, I would like to say by the end of the year -- at least the rudiments -- but we should have something within the year and the following year.”

Fascinating, isn't it?

So is the take from NPR:

"When it comes to health care, it seems that President Trump is learning that same lesson. Trump and Republicans in Congress are struggling with how to keep their double-edged campaign promise — to repeal Obamacare without leaving millions of people without health insurance.  During the campaign, Trump promised to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act immediately upon taking office. Last month, in an interview with The Washington Post, he said he had a replacement law "very much formulated down to the final strokes."  But on Sunday, he dialed back those expectations in an interview with Fox News."

Indeed, he did.  Think his rabidly clueless populist supporters will approve?

"It's in the process and maybe it will take till sometime into next year, but we are certainly going to be in the process. It's very complicated," Trump said.  He repeated his claim that Obamacare has been "a disaster" and said his replacement would be a "wonderful plan" that would take time "statutorily" to put in place. And then he hedged the timing again.  "I would like to say by the end of the year, at least the rudiments," he said.  Trump's recent hesitation comes as Republicans in Congress tame their rhetoric surrounding the health care law."

Think this will sit well with his sick sycophants?  The dopey bastards who voted for this piece of shit?  Not that Hillary was a better choice, however.  At least, moreover, she wasn't a national socialist like the Trump nazi.

Physicians have an interesting take on the pending healthcare crisis.  NBC News reports:

"Congress should improve Obamacare without taking away what's best about it, doctors said Thursday.  Doctors who treat women and children, as well as general practitioners, made a daylong dive across Senate offices to make the case for keeping important aspects of the Affordable Care Act.  And they rebuked Republicans in Congress for talking up repeal without having a plan for replacement in place."

Should Republicans fail to provide a viable replacement immediately upon repeal, they will not be returned to office.  Providers will see an egregious loss of income.  The sick and dying will suffer even more than they already are.  So will their families.

"Currently insured individuals should not lose their coverage as a result of any action or inaction by policymakers," five medical organizations said in a statement released as part of the lobbying push.  "Acceptable reform must continue to ensure access to comprehensive, safe, and affordable care," said Dr. Thomas Gellhaus, president of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists."

Sadly, Obamacare came nowhere close to providing this.  One of the reasons?  Endless provider greed.

2-10-17

The concerted attack on all civil and constitutional rights and liberties extends to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  NPR reports:

"Federal health officials may be about to get greatly enhanced powers to quarantine people, as part of an ongoing effort to stop outbreaks of dangerous contagious diseases.  The new powers are outlined in a set of regulations the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published late last month to update the agency's quarantine authority for the first time since the 1940s."

A threat to liberty.  Literally.  Carefully consider the following.

"The outlined changes are being welcomed by many health lawyers, bioethicists and public health specialists as providing important tools for protecting the public. But the CDC's increased authority is also raising fears that the rules could be misused in ways that violate civil liberties."

They will.  Count on it.  Certainly, as our formerly great country continues to nazify under the Trump regime.

"Under the old rules, the CDC's authority was primarily limited to detaining people entering the country or crossing state lines. The agency was also limited to quarantining people who had one of about a dozen diseases, including cholera, diphtheria, tuberculosis, plague, smallpox and yellow fever.  Yet even then, the CDC rarely exercised these powers and generally deferred to state and local health officials."

That's about to change. Drastically, -- if CDC gets its way.

"With the new rules, the CDC would be able to detain people anywhere in the country without getting approval from state and local officials."

The Fourth Reich.  A goddamned fascist police-state.

"The agency could also apprehend people to assess their health if they are exhibiting medical problems such as a high fever, headache, cramps and other symptoms that could be indicative of a dangerous infectious disease."

Egregiously unacceptable in a country that's supposed to be a democratic republic.  Further proof positive, this goddamned nazi government insanely believes it owns us cradle to grave.  They don't.  Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon.

"But other attorneys say they fear the new rules give the CDC too much power — with insufficient safeguards to protect an individual's rights.

You think?

"It could represent a great danger to Americans' health and civil liberties," says Wendy Parmet, a health policy lawyer at Northeastern University.  For example, she says, the rules would allow the CDC to hold someone in quarantine for 72 hours before their case is subject to review. And that review would be conducted by the CDC itself instead of an outside, objective entity."

Raw nazism.  Ripe for abuse.  ... Hear the rumble?

"The concern," Parmet says, "is that unless these regulations are carried out with care, and by people who [base their actions] on science, they can be used to trammel the civil liberties of Americans."

That's exactly the intention of national socialists in government who get their cookies off abusing power.  ... Hear the rumble?

"Parmet is especially concerned that the CDC's enhanced powers would take effect just as the Trump administration is assuming control over the agency.  "A lot of the signals we've received from President Trump suggests he may be inclined to not always listen to the science," Parmet says, "and to ground policy in what I guess we're now calling 'alternative facts,' instead of scientific facts. That's scary."

Worse than that, could trigger an unwanted dreaded revolution.  The people are not sheep.  Won't tolerate this bullshit.

"Some public health specialists fear the CDC's new powers could backfire on efforts to prevent disease. For example, some sick people might hide their symptoms for fear of being detained."

That's just one of the consequences of this draconian, egregiously un-American proposed change.

"The worst-case scenario is that people may try to evade these procedures by, say, taking medicines to reduce their fever, or be afraid to report it if they are feeling ill on a plane," says Jennifer Nuzzo, a research epidemiologist at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.  "We don't want to drive cases underground by putting measures in place that seem as though they carry some penalties associated with them," Nuzzo says."

Like the loss of liberty?

"Gostin agrees that the rules are imperfect and that quarantining anyone is a very serious step. "It's really a quite, I would say, draconian public health measure," he says. "The most draconian measure, because it allows you to literally imprison somebody who you don't know for sure is a danger to the public."

That's called nazism.  Won't be tolerated.  ... Hear the rumble?

In stark contrast to the Islamaphobia of the Trump nazi, his henchmen, and GOP national socialists in Texas, consider the following.  CBS News reported:

"Thanks to the kindness of thousands of strangers, a Texas mosque that was destroyed in a fire on Saturday already has the funds it needs to rebuild.  The Islamic Center of Victoria in Texas started a GoFundMe campaign hours after the building burned down. Within three days, the center surpassed its $850,000 fundraising goal, receiving nearly $1 million in donations by more than 20,000 people by mid-Tuesday morning."

Certainly, indicative the Trump nazi is ferociously but peacefully opposed by many.

“Today our faith in humanity has been rekindled again!” the Islamic center posted on Facebook Sunday. “The thousands of messages, prayers and donations from all over the globe have been phenomenal.”  The center also thanked those who drove from Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Fort Worth to join a gathering that was held in wake of the fire.  Dozens of people left messages of support on the group’s page."

Highly, encouraging.  In stark contrast, indeed, to national socialists currently in control of the GOP.

In follow up to an earlier edition, the feud between the Trump nazi and civil rights pioneer Rep. John Lewis came at the time of MLK observances back in January.  CBS News reported at the time:

"Trump did not publicly participate in any King observances. The holiday came amid the fallout from a public tiff between Trump and civil rights icon John Lewis, an exchange that incensed many African-Americans already leery of Trump after a racially charged campaign."

Sad, isn't it?  In stark contrast to the Trump nazi, Scott Shepherd stood tall:

"Scott Shepherd didn’t fire the shot that killed Martin Luther King Jr., but the former Ku Klux Klan Grand Dragon says he has always felt remorse toward the family of the slain civil rights leader and all who honor his legacy.  He reached for atonement Monday evening, sitting on a dais next to Bernice King, who was 5 years old when James Earl Ray assassinated her father in 1968."

After all these decades, finally some justice.

“I want to extend an apology to the King family and everyone out there,” Shepherd said, opening a discussion of race relations at the Atlanta center that bears the elder King’s name. “I, in my past, did a lot of terrible things. I said a lot of terrible things about Dr. King. I didn’t know what I was talking about.”

Took great courage for him to apologize.

"Bernice King, who acknowledged “hating white people” as a young woman, accepted Shepherd’s apology. It was the pinnacle of a Martin Luther King Jr. Day that laid bare intense social tensions as President-elect Donald Trump prepares to take office Friday, yet also offered potential avenues to achieve King’s vision of a just society."

Indeed.

The Trump nazi did not have immediate reaction to the following.  CNN reports:

"Martellus Bennett told reporters following the New England Patriots' historic Super Bowl win Sunday that he will not accompany his teammates to the White House, where they are set to be honored by President Donald Trump later this year."

Resistance.

"Bennett is an outspoken supporter of the "Black Lives Matter" movement and has slammed Kanye West for meeting with Trump in December.

"So Kanye didn't take the time to vote. And now he holding on to Trump's coattail like Peter Pettigrew to Lord Voldemort. Kanye Pettigrew
    — Martellus Bennett (@MartysaurusRex) December 15, 2016

"So Kanye didn't take the time to vote. And now he holding on to Trump's coattail like Peter Pettigrew to Lord Voldemort. Kanye Pettigrew," Bennett tweeted."

This is a man courageously willing to stand up for his beliefs.

"After San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick sat during the national anthem to protest racism in America in September, Bennett participated in a similar protest on the field, raising his fist with fellow teammate Devin McCourty during the national anthem at a September game."

Uncommon valor.

In follow up to the above, there is now a second player who will not make the trip to the White House to meet with the Trump nazi.  NBC News reports:

"On Monday, Super Bowl champion and Patriots defensive end Devin McCourty confirmed that he would not accept the customary White House invite for winners of pro football's biggest game, citing political opposition to President Donald Trump."

Another example of uncommon valor.

"I'm not going to the White House," McCourty told TIME via text message. "Basic reason for me is I don't feel accepted in the White House. With the president having so many strong opinions and prejudices I believe certain people might feel accepted there while others won't."

Trump nazi supporters are becoming quite a rabid, bigoted bunch of racists.  Get this.  Fox News reports:

"The owner of an Italian restaurant in Texas said he would welcome back the customers who reportedly wrote on a receipt that they wouldn’t return, despite the “tasty” food, because he is Mexican.  Fernando Franco, who owns Di Frabo in San Antonio, said his manager showed him the receipt shortly after a couple left the eatery Friday.  The message noted that the food was "tasty" and the service "attentive," but concluded: "The owner is 'Mexican.' We will not return. 'America first.'"

Pitiful.  Appalling.  Racist, nazi bastards.

"Since first speaking out about the incident, Franco said he's been inundated with messages of support. He added he's not sure how the customers knew he was the owner or that he's a native of Mexico.  "Something like this is a slap in the face," Franco told Fox San Antonio. He opened the Italian restaurant in 2014, turning his dream into a reality."

Yet another reason why the Trump nazi and his supporters present an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Especially concerning, since this is a country of immigrants.  ... And Mr. Franco is a legal immigrant.

"According to the station, Franco has been running businesses and restaurants in San Antonio since 2012 under the E-2 visa, which is an investor visa that has “very specific” requirements and has to be renewed yearly.  He said was going to frame the receipt, and added that he plans to begin the citizenship process soon."

Welcome, Mr. Franco.  You're a valuable, treasured addition to our country.

The race to the nazi bottom is on.  Think not?  Wake up.  Get this.  CBS News reports:

"A U.S. citizen was asked her immigration status while taking a walk in her neighborhood in Maryland. The Bel Air Police Department is owning up to its misstep and says it will learn from the incident, CBS Baltimore station WJZ-TV reports."

Papieren, Bitte!  Papers, Please!

“I didn’t expect this to happen in Bel Air. Walking while brown? He said, ‘No, no, no, nothing like that,’” Bel Air resident Aravinda Pillalamarri said."

You didn't?  How can that be?  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state, forget?

"Pillalamarri told WJZ-TV Bel Air police officers demanded her ID after a resident called her in as suspicious."

Nazi America.  A goddamned fascist police-state.

“I had just come out for a walk, so I didn’t have my ID. And he said, ‘Why don’t you have ID? Are you here illegally?’” Pillalamarri said."

A jackbooted bastard in blue.  A goddamned nazi storm trooper.  A federal matter, no business of the goddamned local yokels.

"Bel Air Police Chief Charles Moore said asking for her nationality is insensitive but not racial profiling."

The hell it isn't, you clueless son of a bitch.  It's the goddamned definition of it.

“They were trying to figure out why there was some hesitation to provide identification,” Moore said. “That’s why he asked if she was illegal.”

You clueless jackbooted son of a bitch in blue.  There is no requirement pedestrians carry identification, you fascist piece of shit.

"Pillalamarri is an American citizen. But promises from President Trump have ramped up sensitivity on the issue of undocumented immigration."

This is goddamned bullshit.  Our nazi 'President' is doing all he can to impose The Fourth Reich.

Pillalamarri needs to find a lawyer, sue the living shit out of the bastard, the department, and the city.  When taxpayers tire of being looted, this shit will end.

2-3-17

The injustice continues.  Fox News reports:

"Federal prosecutors have dropped felony rioting charges against three more journalists who were arrested after protesters broke windows and torched a limousine in Washington on Inauguration Day."

Why haven't they expunged their arrest records?  Why isn't this automatically done when charges are dropped?  If there is no prosecution, why should a false arrest remain on their records?

2-3-17

Another Trump nazi lie vis a vis sanctuary city 'hotbeds of crime.'  The Statesman reports:

"Throughout his campaign, Trump often characterized these locales as dangerous hotbeds of criminal activity and promised to suspend all federal funding to them.  "We will end the sanctuary cities that have resulted in so many needless deaths," he said in Phoenix in the fall.

A lie.  Unadulterated bullshit by the Trump nazi.

"But an analysis of FBI crime data by Tom Wong, a professor of political science at the University of California, San Diego, finds that counties designated as "sanctuary" areas by ICE typically experience significantly lower rates of all types of crime, including lower homicide rates, than comparable non-sanctuary counties."

The most likely reason for this is 'illegals' are not afraid to report crime to police, resulting in more effective law enforcement.  Then again, wouldn't want to confuse the Trump nazi, his henchmen, and clueless Republican 'law and order' national socialists with the truth, would we?

2-3-17

While the threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties perpetrated by the Trump nazi remains exigent, human interaction between opposing sides can be very, very interesting.  Quite insightful.  Especially, when it involves three die hard Texas Trump supporters and a black waitress in a politically progressive restaurant in the nation's capital.

The Washington Post reports:

"When Jason White walked into Busboys and Poets Monday morning, a Washington restaurant that promotes social justice, he looked around and told his friend he might want to remove his red “Make America Great Again” cap."

Know where this is going?  Think again.

"The three white Texan men knew they stuck out in a place where African-American art and images cover the walls. And White said he could sense when his waitress greeted them that she knew they did too."

No question.

"But Rosalynd Harris had arrived at work that morning still high off the energy from the Women’s March. Her customers Saturday had been abuzz with an optimism that was contagious."

Political action that remains peaceful always is.

"So she was especially cheery when she greeted White and his two friends. They chatted warmly. They told her they were from West Texas. White is a dentist and he complimented her on her smile. They were jovial and fun."

See.  Not all Trump supporters are Neanderthals.  LOL.  ... Right, TL?

"Harris admits that White was right. She did prejudge them, by instantly assuming they were in town for President Trump’s inauguration by appearance alone, even though by that point the signature red baseball cap had been tucked away."

Interesting admission.  Certainly, true and a problem across the species.  Yet, her instincts were right.  They were in town for the inauguration.  They were Trump supporters.  There is much, much more to this story, however.

"When the men finished their meals White decided to leave Harris, a 25-year-old African American woman, a personal message on the receipt. Then, after he wrote it, he left a $450 tip on their $72.60 bill, which is a nearly 625 percent tip."

One thing for sure.  This guy is not like the achingly fascist Republicans here in Nazi Llano County who have to be embarrassed into giving the help a tip in a high end shop.  Usually drink water they're not charged for.  LOL.  ... Right, TL?

“We may come from different cultures and may disagree on certain issues, but if everyone would share their smile and kindness like your beautiful smile, our country will come together as one people,” the note reads. “Not race. Not gender. Just American.” Then he added, “God Bless!”

While his attitude is indeed spot on, he doesn't seem to understand the exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties posed by the Trump nazi and his henchmen.  Particularly, to the bottom of the food chain, minorities, the have-nots who remain targets of the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue, their handlers, and the government entities running the show.  To line government coffers, get their cookies off abusing the innocent and not-so-innocent.  While this guy and his two friends may indeed have good intentions, impeccable motives, they don't live in the same world as most of the rest of us.

"The $450 was a nod to Trump, the 45th president, White said in an interview, as a symbolic gesture that he hoped everyone could move forward together."

That cannot, will not happen.  The Trump nazi and his henchmen represent an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  There is no moving forward under such conditions.  National socialism must be ferociously, but peacefully resisted.  Will be.  A generous tip does not obviate the need to peacefully confront the nazi and his henchmen.  Liberty is at stake.  Is not negotiable.

"White, 37, didn’t even tell his friends what he’d done. But he’d felt so moved by all he’d seen in Washington that weekend. A Trump supporter from the very beginning, he said that he believed Trump would infuse the government with new leadership and a new mindset. A devout Christian, he doesn’t agree with all of Trump’s rhetoric, but said he believes that the president sometimes speaks without thinking first."

The 'new mindset' is in fact quite old.  Circa 1930, Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy.  The problem with Trump goes much deeper than shooting from the hip.  His continuous lying, profound narcissism, inability to withstand any criticism at all are highly indicative of someone mentally unstable, unfit for the presidency.

Colby Itkowitz is the highly gifted, insightful writer of the above quotes.

The Trump nazi is already detaining Iraqis at U.S. airports.  ABC News reports:

"One of at least two Iraqis detained at Kennedy International Airport in New York City in the wake of President Trump’s executive order on immigration has been released."

They had no business holding him in the first place.

"Hameed Jhalid Darweesh walked out of Kennedy Airport with New York Congressional Reps. Nydia Velazquez and Jerry Nadler.

"Pleased to announce w/@NydiaVelazquez the release of Hameed Jhalid Darweesh from detention at JFK. pic.twitter.com/AeKDhIPp7k
    — (((Rep. Nadler))) (@RepJerryNadler) January 28, 2017"

Without assistance from Congressional personnel, he would have still been detained.  For no reason.

"Darweesh was one of at least two Iraqis held at the airport, and court records confirm that a writ of habeas corpus was filed for him and Haider Sameer Abdulkhaleq in the Eastern District of New York, where the airport is located, and that Donald Trump has been named as a defendant."

That's the way to do it.  Get it into court.  Do it as quickly as you can.  Challenge the nazi son of a bitch in court.

"Velazquez said Darweesh was one of 12 people detained at the airport, but did not specify the nationalities of the other 10."

Sad, isn't it?  Nazi America.  The Fourth Reich.

"Darweesh expressed his gratitude for those who supported him while he was detained.  "First of all, I want to thank the people that take care of me and support me. They leave their family, their business and come to support me. This is what pushed me to move, to leave my country and come here. And I'm very, very thankful to all of the people who have come to support me," he said to reporters at the airport."

At least, we have a few people in our formerly great country willing to stand tall.  Peacefully, challenge the Trump nazi.

"America is the land of freedom," Darweesh said. "The land of freedom, the land of the rights. This is what brought me to come here, and I'm very thankful."

Glad you are here, sir.  Sadly, however, you're terribly mistaken.  All civil and constitutional rights and liberties are under vicious attack by national socialists in the Republican Party.  ... Right, TL?

"Neither Darweesh nor Abdulkhaleq are technically refugees according to the definition in the president's executive order but appear to have come to the U.S. on visas, a Trump administration official tells ABC News. The executive order contains a caveat that allows certain individuals to be admitted to the country if there is a national security interest in doing so, and these two may be eligible for such an exemption, which must be agreed upon by the State and Homeland Security Departments, but the process by which this happens is unclear."

That's called bullshit.  Unadulterated bullshit.  Egregiously un-American bullshit.  Promulgated by delusional national socialists in the GOP.  ... Right, TL?

Our nazi 'President' is shitting on his fellow corporate masters.  Think not?

"Ripple effects from the executive order are also being felt in multinational technology companies.  Google CEO Sundar Pichai circulated a staff memo, obtained by Bloomberg News, in which he criticized Trump's action and suggested that some of the firm's employees and their families could be affected by it."

Be interesting to see how long the corporate management suite puts up with this latest crap from the Trump nazi and his goddamned henchmen.

"Trump categorized the executive order as part of a vetting plan to prevent “radical Islamic terrorists” from reaching American soil."

That's also delusional goddamned bullshit perpetrated by our psychotic 'President.'  There is no exigent threat here.  None.

"Trump told the the Christian Broadcasting Network that Christian refugees would be given priority over Muslims in applications to come to the U.S.  "We are going to help them," Trump said of Christians in Syria."

How about all the others?  How about Syrian Muslims the Syrian dictator is murdering, Mr. 'President?'  They don't matter to you, you clueless piece of crap?  Where is your swastika armband, Mr. 'President?'

NPR's take?

"Meanwhile, two Iraqi men were detained at Kennedy Airport in New York. The ACLU and other legal organizations filed a writ of habeas corpus for the two men Saturday in an attempt to obtain their clients' release."

Good to see the ACLU and others are quickly taking court action against the Trump nazi.  This is what is so critical.  Sue the living shit out of them.  Use the legal system against the GOP nazis driving our formerly great country into the ground.

"Both Darweesh and Haider Sameer Abdulkhaleq Alshawi had been granted U.S. visas after the federal government "deemed both Petitioners not to pose threats to the United States," the court filing reads. The filing says both men are being held at the airport by Customs and Border Protection "solely pursuant to an executive order issued" Friday."

Way to go.  Stand up for the rule of law and the United States Constitution.

"ACLU attorney Cecilia Wang tells NPR that Darweesh had arrived with his wife and child, but that he was held behind as his family was permitted to proceed. For his part, Alshawi's wife and child live in Houston with green cards, Wang says."

Goddamned bullshit perpetrated by jackbooted storm troopers.  Coup de grace?

"Brandon Friedman, a U.S. Army veteran and former Obama administration official, explains to NPR's Scott Simon that Darweesh worked with him as a translator during his service in Iraq. Darweesh was "approved for a special immigrant visa, given for his time and service to the U.S. government," Friedman says."

This is how the Trump nazi and his henchmen treat Iraqis who put their lives on the line for our troops?  This achingly fascist piece of shit ought to be ashamed of himself.  Remains too damned aggressively stupid to even know what shame is.

"Late Friday, Friedman began tweeting about his opposition to Trump's order, as well as a photo showing a pair of men he said helped his team and were "no longer welcome in the U.S."  "Hameed was one of the first people to sign up to work with us. He helped interpret, he hooked us up with things that we needed and helped us generally get through the communities that we were operating in in Iraq," Friedman tells Simon. "And he put his life on the line. He risked his family's life to do that."

Yet, the Trump nazi and his henchmen couldn't care less:

"Deteriorating conditions in certain countries due to war, strife, disaster, and civil unrest increase the likelihood that terrorists will use any means possible to enter our country," the executive order reads."

That's delusional, psychotic, paranoid, clueless, gutless bullshit unworthy of the United States, to say nothing of an American president.  Certainly, provides additional evidence of Trump's instability, sadly lacking judgment.  Equally pointedly, the executive order makes no sense:

"As NPR's Greg Myre reports, "It doesn't include any countries from which radicalized Muslims have actually killed Americans in the U.S. since Sept. 11, 2001."

Who'd 'a 'thunk' it?  Day is night, night is day, and shit smells perversely sweet in the world of the Trump nazi and his henchmen.

In another NPR article, Trump appears to be favoring countries where he indeed has business interests:

"Even as President Trump takes steps to restrict visitors from some majority-Muslim countries, he and his family continue to do business in some of the others.  Ethics experts question whether that might indicate conflicts between Trump's business interests and his role as U.S. president.  The executive action, "Protecting The Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into The United States," targets seven nations: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. Trump has no business interests in those countries."

Interesting, isn't it? Can-you-say-Emoluments-Clause?

"The 19 terrorists in the Sept. 11 attacks were from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates, Myre points out. They are among the Muslim-majority countries not affected by Trump's immigration freeze, but where Trump does business."

Can-you-say-Emoluments-Clause?

"Critics said it appears that Trump is picking favorites, overlooking terrorist links in countries such as Saudi Arabia and Turkey that have their own history of terrorism."

You think?  If this is the case, he will be impeached.

"And there appear to be conflict-of-interest questions, which could raise legal and constitutional concerns for the Trump White House."

Just a matter of time.

"Norman Eisen, a former ethics adviser to President Obama and a current fellow in governance studies at the Brookings Institution, told NPR in an interview:  "I don't believe that our Constitution allows the president to order State Department and other U.S. government employees to discriminate between otherwise identical people, favoring those from countries he likes because they give him unconstitutional foreign emoluments, and punishing those from other countries that do not pay such personal and illegal tribute to him."  Emoluments are gifts. A provision of the U.S. Constitution, called the emoluments clause, prohibits U.S. officials from taking gifts of value from foreign officials or governments."

There'll come a point where Republicans themselves will be forced to take action.  Think not?  Wake up.  Enlightened self-interest.  Both major political parties place being returned to office above all else.  Precisely, why Republicans were key in forcing the resignation of the Nixon criminal some four decades ago.

"Eisen said of Trump: "Normally he would, of course, have freer rein legally in these foreign policy, immigration and refugee matters, but his open and notorious violation of the Constitution changes that. This is the corrupt misconduct of a medieval potentate, not an American president."

This is the problem our country faces.  An exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Imposition of The Fourth Reich by the Trump nazi and his henchmen.  Can-you-say-Sieg-Heil!?

Interestingly, religious groups are not happy with the Trump nazi's executive order.  In another article, NPR reports:

"President Trump's temporary ban on the admission of refugees is not going over well with the churches and religious organizations that handle most refugee resettlements in the United States.  "The faith groups are going to kick and scream and object to every aspect of this disgusting, vile executive order," says Mark Hetfield, president of HIAS, a Jewish refugee society. "[It] makes America out to be something that it is not. We are a country that welcomes refugees."

Under the Trump nazi, no longer.

The short term answer to this growing nazism is to sue the living shit out of the bastards.  Vigorously do so.  Quickly get them into court.  Figuratively, hit 'em where it truly hurts.  The pocket book.  The Washington Post has an interesting take:

"Here in this northeastern Pennsylvania city, then-Mayor Lou Barletta said he would do what he could to restore “law and order” and take back his city. It was time, Barletta said, for a “war on the illegals.”

Sounds like the Trump nazi and his henchmen, doesn't it?

"And while that sentiment is shared among some advisers to President Trump, the experiences of these towns show how measures targeting undocumented immigrants can leave lasting and bitter racial divisions while doing little to address the underlying forces that often determine where newcomers settle."

A nazi doesn't have the ability to carefully evaluate long-term consequences.  Sees things in black and white.  No shades of gray.  No brilliant hues of color.

"The laws in most cases aimed to make it illegal for landlords to rent to undocumented immigrants and threatened fines for employers who hired them. But among the six most high-profile towns that tried to pass such laws, all have been foiled by court rulings, settlements or challenges with enforcement. Several have been ordered to pay the legal fees for the civil rights groups that brought suits. And in five of the six towns, the Latino population — legal or illegal — has continued to grow, attracted by a continued rise in low-paying jobs."

This is the way to approach the problem.  Make sure the taxpayers are legally looted to pay for the transgressions of the nazis in charge.

“It wound up costing our city $9 million in attorney’s fees,” said Bob Phelps, the mayor of Farmers Branch, Tex., a Dallas suburb that saw its ordinance defeated in court after a seven-year legal battle. “And we accomplished zero.”

Encouraging, isn't it?  Certainly, far better than an unwanted dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon.  Hear the rumble?

"The local efforts were championed by two men who are now Trump advisers and reportedly were considered for Cabinet positions. Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who counseled most of the cities in their legal challenges, consulted with Trump during his campaign about issues including a border wall with Mexico. Barletta is now a U.S. House member and was part of Trump’s transition team."

Proof positive you can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.

The legal fight is on.  CBS News reports:

"A group of Democratic attorneys general is condemning President Trump’s immigration and travel crackdown. The AGs from 15 states and Washington, D.C., promise to “use all of the tools of our offices to fight this unconstitutional order and preserve our nation’s national security and core values.”

This is precisely what needs to happen.  The Trump nazi and his henchmen must be vigorously challenged in court.

"Beginning Saturday, thousands protested at airports across the U.S. against the detention of refugees, as well as holders of valid U.S. visas and green cards, from seven majority-Muslim nations: Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen. Protests expanded on Sunday to numerous cities and airports, and are continuing today."

Ferocious, but peaceful resistance is called for.  The Trump nazi and his henchmen remain an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties as they determinedly attempt to impose The Fourth Reich.

"Four federal judges issued stays on parts of the executive order, demanding that refugees in transit be released and not returned to their countries of origin, but lawyers representing some detained travelers claim that the administration is not fully complying with the judges’ orders."

If that is indeed true, impeachment hearings are called for.  Won't happen, however, in a national socialist GOP-controlled House.

"Appearing on “CBS This Morning” Monday, New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said he expects the fight over the president’s executive order to reach the Supreme Court. “As my colleagues and I stated, we are all in agreement that portions of this executive order are unconstitutional and ultimately will be struck down,” he said. “We are very concerned about people who will be hurt between now and that ultimate ruling.”

This is the problem when a fascist dictator is elected 'President.'  ... Right, TL?

"He said that the judges who issued stays have recognized that “there is a likelihood of success on the merits of claims that the provision to stop all people from seven countries that were arbitrarily identified violates their rights to due process and equal protection."

The Trump nazi and his henchmen deliberately ignore these rights.

“Other provisions of the executive order raise questions under the Establishment Clause [of the Constitution], which prevents you from discriminating based on religion, and there’s problems with a federal statute that was explicitly passed to stop the government from excluding people just based on national origin. So it’s got a host of constitutional infirmities."

Litigation must be swift and ferocious.

“But while we are working our way through the courts, our colleagues and I are committed to trying to protect the people who are going to be hurt in the meantime.”

How will you do this when the Trump nazi already appears to be ignoring court orders?

"Schniederman said he and his fellow attorneys general, representing more than 130 million American people, are working to ensure that the names of detainees are released. “One of the big problems that the lawyers trying to represent the detainees have is, they don’t know exactly who is being detained. We also are concerned that the federal orders that have been issued by four federal district judges are not necessarily being complied with. So we’re taking actions to ensure that the orders are complied with."

Again, Counselor, what specific actions are you taking to force the Trump nazi to comply with these orders?

"He said there are two separate issues to be addressed: “The executive order itself is objectionable; we think there are many provisions that are unconstitutional.  But the way it was rolled out, with no notice, no instructions to the people that are actually on duty at the airports, and the anecdotal evidence lead us to conclude that it’s being applied inconsistently, and there’s no transparency to the process.”

A nazi dictator never operates transparently.  Gutlessly avoids the blinding light of day.  We're supposed to be a nation of laws, not men.  A nazi poses an exigent threat to that concept, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Must be ferociously, but peacefully resisted.

“The White House put out a statement of numbers. We have no reason to believe that statement is accurate. Homeland Security reversed itself yesterday saying don’t detain green card holders. It’s chaos out there,” Schneiderman said.”  “We have a federal system, and if the federal government is not going to give you the real facts, they’re going to stick to ‘alternate facts,’ those of us at the state level have to step into that breach, protect the people we represent, and present the truth to the American people.”

Indeed.  Here, here.  Uncommon valor.  Tyranny must be courageously stood up to.

"In an interview last week with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Mr. Trump said that Christians in Syria have been “horribly treated,” and that it was “almost impossible” for Christians to enter the United States compared to Muslims. “I thought it was very, very unfair. So we are going to help them.”  That statement, Scheiderman said, is “directly in violation of the Establishment Cause of the Constitution. You can’t favor one religion over another. That is one of the bedrock principles of the United States of America. And for him to say that in such a cavalier way is a reflection of a total disregard for the Constitution and the rule of law.  “And that’s what I think is so upsetting to so many people. This is not a matter of liberal versus conservative; this is a matter of those of us who believe in the rule of law.”

This needs to be quickly, ferociously litigated.  Before too late.  Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon.

The quotes above are from  David Morgan, an insightful, gifted writer.

ABC News reports:

"Activists across the United States are gearing up this week to continue a wave of protests that broke out over the weekend in response to President Donald Trump's executive order restricting travel and immigration from seven Muslim-majority counties.  The planned demonstrations come as a U.S. Department of Homeland Security official confirmed to ABC News on Monday that there are no more individuals being detained at U.S. airports under the president's executive order."

Ferocious protest needs to continue, but must remain peaceful.  How do we know the unnamed Homeland Security source is telling the truth?

2-3-17

A former government official has a poignant take on the immigration order.  ABC News reports:

"President Trump said his executive order restricting entry into the U.S. of people from seven Muslim-dominated countries is to keep Americans safer, but one former Homeland Security official who is an ABC News contributor said the move could instead do the opposite by inspiring violent extremist attacks in the U.S."

This is an issue the clueless Trump nazi and his henchmen failed to rationally consider.

"The White House has indicated that this action is necessary to address serious terror threats facing the nation, but today the most significant threat facing our country involves individuals living in the U.S. carrying out terror attacks independent of any group and inspired by what they see on the internet," John D. Cohen, who served as counterterrorism coordinator and acting undersecretary for intelligence at the Department of Homeland Security under President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2014 and before that served in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence under President George W. Bush."

What webs we weave.

"Cohen added that in many respects, the "extreme vetting" called for in the executive order already exists through the government's data collection and vetting capabilities used on individuals considered possible threats — a capability that has been improved dramatically over the past six years. This vetting could, however, be far more effective if the process were more automated, he said.  With the executive order, the government seems "to restrict travel of people who have done nothing wrong," and such an action puts the Trump administration at risk of losing the trust of the American people, Cohen said."

Wouldn't want to confuse the clueless Nazi Right with the truth, would we?

2-3-17

The Trump nazi and his henchmen are certainly angering at least some of their corporate masters.  NPR reports:

"Leaders in the U.S. technology sector say President Trump's executive order banning immigrants from some Muslim-majority countries will sow confusion in their businesses and undercut the diversity that has been a linchpin of the industry's growth. The CEOs of Google, Twitter, Facebook and Apple all issued statements condemning the ban and complaining that the order was pushed through so quickly it left great uncertainty about the status of some of their best employees."

-- Employees who are not terrorists.  ... Productively contributing to society.

"Google chief executive Sundar Pichai wrote a memo to his employees that was highly critical of Trump's order. He warned that it could prevent at least 187 foreign-born Google employees from entering the United States and orders staff members who are traveling abroad to return to the United States immediately."

Clearly, the Trump nazi and his henchmen were achingly incapable of thinking this thoroughly through.

"It's painful to see the personal cost of this executive order on our colleagues," Pichai wrote. "We're upset about the impact of this order and any proposals that could impose restrictions on Googlers and their families, or that could create barriers to bringing great talent to the US."

This comes as no surprise, does it?  Certainly, not from a narcissist, misogynist, national socialist, fascist, nazi U.S. 'President.'

2-3-17

Democrats are not effectively standing up to the Trump nazi and his henchmen.  The Washington Post reports:

"Democrats will seek to quickly pass legislation on Monday night to rescind President Trump’s travel ban from certain countries — a likely futile attempt they’re poised to use to justify prolonging consideration of several top Cabinet nominees."

To date, Democrats have done shit squat to obstruct the Trump nazi.  When will they courageously walk out of Congress to deny GOP fascists a quorum?  Where's ferocious, but peaceful resistance?  Where?

Soon after writing the above, Democrats finally stood tall.  Starting with the Democratic Acting U.S. Attorney General.  NPR reports:

"President Trump has fired Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, concluding she has "betrayed the Department of Justice" by refusing to defend his executive order that imposes a temporary ban on refugees and visa holders from seven majority-Muslim countries."

Hat's off, Ms. Yates.  You did the right thing.  Stood tall.  A nazi 'President' must be ferociously but peacefully resisted every step of the way.  It is the Trump nazi who betrayed his country and oath of office with the executive order.

"Less than two weeks after his inauguration, and only hours after Yates sent a message to department lawyers announcing that she would not defend Trump's order restricting travel and immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries, the new president removed the nation's top law enforcement officer in a move not seen since the Nixon era."

Uncommon valor, Ms. Yates. Hat's off:

"My responsibility is to ensure that the position of the Department of Justice is not only legally defensible, but is informed by our best view of what the law is after consideration of all the facts. In addition, I am responsible for ensuring that the positions we take in court remain consistent with this institution's solemn obligation to always seek justice and stand for what is right. At present, I am not convinced that the defense of the Executive Order is consistent with these responsibilities nor am I convinced that the Executive Order is lawful.  "Consequently, for as long as I am the Acting Attorney General, the Department of Justice will not present arguments in defense of the Executive Order, unless and until I become convinced that it is appropriate to do so."

Finally, an attorney in a position of high authority who was courageous enough to stand up to a nazi.

"The Democratic National Committee blasted Trump for trying to "silence" Yates and predicted the confirmation of his nominee to lead the Justice Department would get tougher. Many top former DOJ officials, including Attorney General Eric Holder Jr. and civil rights chief Tom Perez, tweeted messages of support. "Person of integrity/attorney with great legal skill," Holder wrote. "Her judgment should be trusted."

She stood tall.

So did Democrats in the Senate.  Fox News reports:

"Congressional tensions over President Trump’s Cabinet picks – and his executive order on immigration – flared Tuesday as Democrats boycotted committee meetings on two major nominees and clashed with Republicans over the nomination of Sen. Jeff Sessions to lead the Justice Department."

About time they stood up to Republican national socialists who desperately try to ramrod through traitorously fascist candidates for Cabinet positions.  Sessions is achingly unfit for office.  Remains no more than a goddamned racist, Neanderthal misogynist, and a clueless national socialist unfit to be dog catcher, never mind Attorney General of the United States.  This son of a bitch will continue to shit on the Constitution including the Bill of Rights.  As he has repeatedly done in the past.  -- A goddamned nazi never changes his stripes.  Remains a nazi.

"Monday’s firing and escalating tension over Trump’s executive order made Tuesday’s vote on Sessions particularly contentious."

That's good.  Encouraging.  Finally, Democrats showing some spine, standing up to the growing nazism imposed by the Trump nazi and his henchmen.

"The committee’s top Democrat, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, took Sessions to task and tried to tie him to the controversial order and the Trump administration, as she announced her opposition."

Good for her.  Good for the country.  Good for all failing civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  More Democrats need to stand up.

“Not one order, idea or pronouncement is meant to bring this country together, they only serve to drive us further apart,” Feinstein said. “It is in this context we are being asked to consider this nomination.”

It's worse than that.  Far worse than that.  All civil and constitutional rights and liberties are under attack by the Trump nazi, his henchmen, and an increasingly national socialist Republican Party.  Time to stand tall.

"Feinstein also praised Yates and said standing up to Trump “took a steel spine.”

Indeed, it did.  What took so long?

“That is what an attorney general must be willing to do,” she said before adding she has “no confidence” Sessions would be able to stand up to the president."

The fascist son of a bitch won't.  He'll rubber stamp the Trump nazi and his determined imposition of The Fourth Reich.

Insult to injury, the Trump nazi lied about the number of people affected by his immigration order.  The Washington Post reports:

“Only 109 people out of 325,000 were detained and held for questioning.”
— President Trump, tweet, Jan, 30, 2017

“Remember we’re talking about a universe of 109 people. There were 325,000 people that came into this country over a 24 hour period from another country. 109 of them were stopped for additional screening.”
— White House press secretary Sean Spicer, press briefing, Jan. 30, 2017"

The numbers are bogus.  Distortion of reality.

"Here’s the breakdown by country:

Iran: 35,363 nonimmigrant visas, 7,179 immigrant visas
Iraq: 13,499 nonimmigrant visas, 2,010 immigrant visas
Syria: 10,061 nonimmigrant visas, 1,901 immigrant visas
Sudan: 5,080 nonimmigrant visas, 1,642 immigrant visas
Yemen: 4,525 nonimmigrant visas, 3,143 immigrant visas
Libya: 3,303 nonimmigrant visa, 272 immigrant visas
Somalia: 331 nonimmigrant visas, 1,078 immigrant visas

"The Pinocchio Test

"The Trump White House’s figures on the scope of the travel ban are ludicrously low. The universe of people likely affected by the travel suspension is around 90,000 — not 109. The White House should also not use the overall daily number of travelers as a comparison.
Four Pinocchios"

The Trump nazi and his henchmen will never ever be confused by the facts.  Irony of ironies?  NBC News reports:

"Acting Attorney General Sally Yates was fired Monday night for defying President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration.   But the very notion of her pushing back at the president was brought up — and encouraged — at her 2015 Senate confirmation hearing as deputy attorney general, when she was grilled about being able to challenge Barack Obama if she disagreed with him.   And who was the man who introduced the idea of dissent? Republican Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, who is now poised to himself become the U.S. Attorney General in the Trump administration."

What webs we weave.  The hypocrisy?  Stunning.

NPR reports:

"At the State Department, there is an easy — and usually private — way for employees to register their concerns about U.S. policy. It's called the "Dissent Channel." And today, an unusually large number of foreign service officers are using it.  A dissent cable says Donald Trump's temporary visa and refugee ban "runs counter to American values" and could be "counterproductive."

Indeed.  Good to see ferocious, but peaceful resistance is spreading.

The Washington Post reports:

"Democrats intensified their opposition to President Trump on Tuesday by further delaying the confirmation of several of his Cabinet nominees amid strong Republican objections."

This is indeed a good sign.  Resistance is increasing to the Trump nazi.

"Hours after Trump fired acting attorney general Sally Yates for refusing to defend his executive order banning certain immigrants and refugees, Democrats lashed out during a hearing held to approve his choice to lead the Justice Department. Amid concerns with information provided by his picks to lead the departments of Health and Human Services and Treasury, Democrats did not show up at another Senate committee at all."

Another good sign.  Democrats are finally discovering some desperately needed backbone.

"The theatrics drew more attention to Trump’s recent decisions and the growing bipartisan concern with his executive order Friday to implement a travel ban with virtually no consultation of top government officials or senior lawmakers."

What fascist dictator consults with anyone other than his henchmen?

NPR's take?

"Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee boycotted planned votes on Tuesday morning to advance the nominations of two Trump Cabinet nominees.  The committee was to begin voting at 10 a.m. on the nominations of Georgia Rep. Tom Price to lead the Department of Health and Human Services and Treasury Secretary-designate Steven Mnuchin. Committee rules require that at least one member of each party be present for a vote to proceed. If and when the committee does vote, their confirmations would still need the approval of the full Senate."

Sadly, this will be yet another case of reverse Darwinism, -- survival of the unfittest.

"Price has been under a cloud of controversy for weeks over questions about whether he properly disclosed stock trading of a biomedical company, which says the congressman was able to purchase with a discount, according to the Wall Street Journal."

So what else is new?  Yet, Republican national socialists are trying to ramrod through this egregious piece of shit into office.

"As for Mnuchin, he faces more questions about his role in the foreclosure crisis as the head of OneWest Bank. As NPR's Yuki Noguchi reported when Mnuchin testified before the committee earlier this month, he was grilled by Democrats "for his role as CEO of a company that took over IndyMac Bank, now known as OneWest, which failed because of its bad home loans and later pushed through many controversial foreclosures, ultimately yielding massive profits for Mnuchin."

Again, this remains an egregious failure of laissez faire capitalism.  Where nearly anything goes.  Precisely, why the majority of Cabinet picks are titans from the corporate management suite.  Yet, idiots in this formerly great country bought the Trump nazi's bullshit.  Voted for the national socialist.

Subsequent to writing the above, Republican nazis changed the rules and ramrodded the Price and Mnuchin nominations through committee without the Democrats.  Sessions was also ramrodded through by a party line vote after an extremely contentious hearing.  National socialist former Exxon titan Rex "The Hex" Tillerson was confirmed as Secretary of State.  NPR reports:

"Rex Tillerson was approved by a 56-43 vote Wednesday in the Senate. Four senators who caucus with the Democrats crossed the aisle and joined all of the Republicans in voting for Tillerson. They were Democrats Mark Warner of Virginia, Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota and Joe Manchin of West Virginia, as well as independent Angus King of Maine."

Think the fascist son of a bitch won't do the bidding of Big Oil as Secretary of State?  This piece of oligarch trash didn't deserve the honor of a vote.  Democrats and Independents should have courageously walked out, refused to vote period.  Let the nazis in the Republican Party own the Trump nazi, his henchmen including all the corporate titans he's nominated for office.

What is most encouraging is the fact ferocious but peaceful resistance seems to be exponentially growing against the Trump nazi and his henchmen.  Equally important, Democratic rank and file are heavily pressuring Democratic senators and representatives to stonewall, block, delay, do whatever they can to slow the Trump nazi down.  About time.

They need to do to Trump precisely what was done to Obama for eight years.  The strikingly salient difference here is Obama, unlike Trump, was not a national socialist.  Did not present an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties as do the Trump nazi and his achingly fascist henchmen.

2-3-17

The hubris of the Trump nazi is negatively affecting international relations.  Surprised?  NPR reports:

"More than 1.3 million people have signed an official U.K. petition to prevent President Trump from making a state visit to the U.K. — and the number continues to grow."

Certainly, encouraging.  Especially, since Britain is one of our most stalwart allies.

"Donald Trump should be allowed to enter the UK in his capacity as head of US Government," the petition states, "but he should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen."  The U.K. Parliament will consider this petition for a debate, because it has surpassed the threshold of 100,000 signatures."

Tough, isn't it?  Indeed, heartbreaking.  LOL.

2-3-17

Think the above is the only political action being considered against the Trump nazi?  ABC News reports:

"Dozens of foreign service officers and other career diplomats stationed around the world are so concerned about President Donald Trump's new executive order restricting Syrian refugees and other immigrants from entering the United States that they are contemplating taking the rare step of sending a formal objection to senior State Department officials in Washington."

Absolutely, necessary.  The Trump nazi and his henchmen still remain clueless.

"In recent days, drafts of a dissent memo have been circulating among diplomats and associates abroad expressing concern that the new restrictions — which Trump said would help "keep America safe" — are un-American and will actually paralyze efforts to stop terrorist attacks inside the U.S. homeland."

Indeed.  They are egregiously, achingly, gutlessly un-American.  Worthy of Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, not an American president.

"This ban ... will not achieve its stated aim to protect the American people from terrorist attacks by foreign nationals admitted to the United States," warned one early draft reviewed by ABC News."

Quite the opposite.

"Instead, the executive order will expand anti-American sentiment and "immediately sour relations" with key allies in the fight against terrorism, particularly many of the countries whose citizens are now blocked from traveling to the United States, according to the early draft."

Worse?  Plays into the hands of our enemies.  Then again, a national socialist is achingly incapable of rational thought.

2-3-17

The Iraqis are determined to have their say.  ABC News reports:

"Iraq's lawmakers on Monday backed a "reciprocity measure" that would bar Americans from entering Iraq in retaliation for President Donald Trump's banning of Iraqis and citizens of six other majority-Muslim countries from traveling to the United States."

Think other countries won't do the same?

"But though the deputy parliament speaker said the Iraqi vote is non-binding for the government, it will likely strain Baghdad's relations with Washington amid joint efforts to quash the Islamic State group and retake Mosul, Iraq's second-largest city, from the extremists."

What webs we weave.

2-3-17

The fallout was predictable. The Washington Post reports:

"Jihadist groups on Sunday celebrated the Trump administration’s ban on travel from seven Muslim-majority countries, saying the new policy validates their claim that the United States is at war with Islam."

Sadly, they're right.  Thanks to the Trump nazi and his henchmen.

2-3-17

Interesting, isn't it, some of the most wealthy with an agenda now question the Trump nazi and his agenda?  Get this.  The Washington Post reports:

"The weekend gathering of wealthy donors who help finance the conservative Koch network was supposed to serve as a celebration of the policy victories within reach now that Republicans control Washington: a repeal of the Affordable Care Act, a rollback of environmental regulations, perhaps even a corporate tax overhaul."

Sweet dreams, aren't they?  Certainly, for the Nazi Right, as well as the corporate management suite.

"But with President Trump already embroiled in chaos and controversy, the conservative financiers assembled at a desert resort here were also forced to contend with a new uncertainty: whether the new president will be an ally or an obstacle."

Already, trouble in paradise.  Doesn't it break your heart?

"In their first formal break with the administration, top network officials on Sunday condemned Trump’s travel ban on some refugees and immigrants, calling it “the wrong approach.” Some here expressed alarm that Trump has staked out positions anathema to the network’s libertarian principles, targeting individual companies that produce goods abroad and indicating possible support for a border tax on imports. And the network’s chief patron, billionaire industrialist Charles Koch, who pointedly declined to back Trump in the presidential campaign, warned in stark terms of the potential perils of the anti-establishment mood that gave rise to Trump."

Yes, there's the rub.  The greedy bastards are petrified the pitchforks are on their way.

“We have a tremendous danger because we can go the authoritarian route...or we can move toward a free and open society,” he told a packed ballroom Sunday afternoon."

That's goddamned delusional.  The only truly "free and open society" is reserved for the top 1% of the food chain.  That's, who these bastards are truly concerned about, certainly not the bottom 99% left out in the cold.   The bottom 99, however, remain of great concern to these pieces of shit for one reason primarily.  Why?  They hear the rumble.  That of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon.

2-3-17

Further trouble in paradise as the Trump nazi continues to try to impose The Fourth Reich.  ABC News reports:

"Former Defense Secretary and CIA Director Robert Gates called it "a big mistake" by President Trump to downgrade the status of the director of national intelligence and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on the National Security Council, limiting which council meetings the two leaders may attend.  Trump made the change to the National Security Council in an executive memorandum Saturday that gave his controversial senior adviser and chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, a seat at the council's Principals Committee meetings."

Readers are reminded Bannon is a white nationalist.  A member of the Alt Right.

"My biggest concern is there are actually, under the law, two statutory advisers to the National Security Council, and that's the director of [national] intelligence, or the DNI, and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff," Gates told ABC News' Martha Raddatz on "This Week." "They both bring a perspective and judgment and experience … that every president — whether they like it or not — finds useful."  According to Saturday's memo outlining the changes, both leaders will now attend NSC Principals Committee meetings only when "issues pertaining to their responsibilities and expertise are to be discussed."  "Pushing them out of the National Security Council [Principals Committee] meetings except when their specific issues are at stake is a big mistake," said Gates, who served as defense secretary for Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama."

Bannon is an insane national socialist with a pernicious agenda, -- imposition of The Fourth Reich.  CBS News reports:

"President Donald Trump’s chief White House strategist says that the media should “keep its mouth shut.”

F--k the nazi.  Bannon remains an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  This piece of fascist shit has clearly never read the First Amendment.

"In an interview with The New York Times published Thursday, Stephen Bannon said that the media is the “opposition party” of the new administration and “should be embarrassed and humiliated” by the unanticipated election result."

This goddamned patronizing, condescending nazi is psychotically delusional.  Clearly, has no conception a vibrant media is protected by the First Amendment.  Remains a check and balance on outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept, unconstitutional government.  Precisely, what this unabashed nazi wants.  A raucous, boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Sieg Heil!, you achingly fascist bastard.

"The article cites Bannon as referring to himself at one point as “Darth Vader.”

This delusional fascist is no Darth Vader.  He is no more than a gutless, hopelessly ignorant national socialist.

"Asked if he was concerned that press secretary Sean Spicer lost credibility after a forceful opening press conference peppered with false information, Bannon replied, “we think that’s a badge of honor.”  He adds, “The media has zero integrity, zero intelligence and no hard work.”

Aren't you talking precisely about yourself, Mr. Bannon?  You're out of uniform.  Where is your swastika armband, you fascist piece of shit?

“I want you to quote this,” Bannon to The New York Times. “The media here is the opposition party. They don’t understand this country. They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”

This nazi is outrageously delusional, hopelessly psychotic.  Egregiously out of touch with reality.  Grossly Aryan arrogant, hopelessly ignorant.  An exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

2-3-17

Think the Trump nazi isn't desperately trying to impose The Fourth Reich?  CNN reports:

"The immigration executive orders signed by President Donald Trump this week could amount to a vast expansion of authority for individual immigration officers and a dramatic increase in efforts to detain and deport undocumented immigrants.  The order lays out a series of categories of undocumented immigrants that immigration law enforcement officials should prioritize for removing from the country, a reaction to what was criticized by the right as lax enforcement of immigration law by former President Barack Obama."

That's nuts.  Achingly, uninformed.  Obama deported a record number of individuals during his regime.

"But experts say the descriptions include virtually every person in the country illegally and give broad latitude to individual immigration officers to decide who should be detained for deportation."

That's frightening.  We already have an egregious problem with criminal jackbooted bastards in blue who remain not only a threat to life of innocent citizens, but all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

"In addition to a strain on resources, critics worry the orders could cause legal concerns.  The Obama administration had prioritized expulsion of undocumented immigrants who threatened public safety or national security, had ties to criminal gang activity, committed serious felony offenses or were habitual misdemeanor criminal offenders.  Trump's order goes far beyond that, using a sweeping definition of "criminal" and giving a single immigration officer the ability to make judgments on threats to public safety."

A goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

"Trump says US will prioritize Christian refugees"

That's goddamned unconstitutional.  Egregious violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is church-state separation, freedom from religion.

"The order says the priority will be removing deportable immigrants who "have been convicted of any criminal offense; have been charged with any criminal offense, where such charge has not been resolved; have committed acts that constitute a chargeable criminal offense; have engaged in fraud or willful misrepresentation in connection with any official matter or application before a governmental agency; have abused any program related to receipt of public benefits; are subject to a final order of removal, but who have not complied with their legal obligation to depart the United States; or in the judgment of an immigration officer, otherwise pose a risk to public safety or national security."

Direct violation of at least the 14th Amendment Equal Protection, to say nothing of the 5th Amendment Due Process.

2-3-17

The Mexican President did the right thing.  Stood tall.  Cancelled a visit to the White House.  NPR reports:

"President Trump spoke by phone to President Enrique Peña Nieto of Mexico for an hour on Friday, according to statements by both leaders.  Peña Nieto was scheduled to visit the White House on Jan. 31. But on Wednesday Trump signed an order to move forward with a wall along the Mexican border and insisted that Mexico would eventually pay the bill.  On Thursday, Peña Nieto canceled his planned visit to the U.S. without giving a reason."

The Trump nazi lied about the cancelled trip.  Said it was cancelled by mutual agreement. It wasn't.  The Mexican President cancelled after the Trump nazi advised him via Twitter he should indeed cancel if Mexico is unwilling to pay for the wall.

"On Thursday, a White House spokesman said one potential way to pay for the wall could be to apply a 20 percent tax on imports from Mexico, as well as other countries with which the U.S. has a trade deficit."

Guess who pays?  Haven't a clue?  Wake up.

"That would effectively saddle U.S. consumers with a significant portion of the wall's cost, estimated at $15 billion or more," NPR's Scott Horsley reported."

Still don't get it?

2-3-17

The Trump nazi is viciously opposed to sanctuary cities.  So is our national socialist Republican Governor.  In follow up to the last edition, The Statesman reports:

"Throughout his campaign, Trump often characterized these locales as dangerous hotbeds of criminal activity and promised to suspend all federal funding to them."

As does our nazi Republican Governor.

"We will end the sanctuary cities that have resulted in so many needless deaths," he [Trump] said in Phoenix in the fall.  But an analysis of FBI crime data by Tom Wong, a professor of political science at the University of California, San Diego, finds that counties designated as "sanctuary" areas by ICE typically experience significantly lower rates of all types of crime, including lower homicide rates, than comparable non-sanctuary counties."

Wouldn't want to confuse our nazi 'President' and Governor with the truth, would we?  The likely reason for the lower crime rate in sanctuary cities is the undocumented trust police to do the right thing, that is not have them deported when they report crime and/or are victims of crime themselves.

2-3-17

The Trump nazi is receiving sharp resistance from government employees.  Refuse to be gagged by the national socialist.  NPR reports:

"Tuesday afternoon, a new Twitter account called "AltUSNatParkService" appeared and began tweeting out facts about climate change, support for the National Parks and comments in opposition of President Trump, who has called climate change a hoax created by China.

"Can't wait for President Trump to call us FAKE NEWS.

"You can take our official twitter, but you'll never take our free time!
    — AltUSNatParkService (@AltNatParkSer) January 25, 2017"

Uncommon valor.  Ferocious, but peaceful resistance to the Trump nazi.

2-3-17

There is no chance to rein in the Trump nazi when Democrats themselves support his clueless henchmen. The Washington Times reports:

"Sen. Elizabeth Warren is defending her decision to vote to approve Ben Carson as President Donald Trump’s nominee for housing secretary."

Despite the fact Carson was a noted neurosurgeon, as far as housing is concerned, remains an idiot.  No experience at all.  Intends to wing it.

"The Massachusetts Democrat said in a Facebook posting Wednesday that she has profound concerns about Carson’s inexperience and disagreed with what she called “many of the outrageous things” he said during his presidential campaign."

Proof positive, he has no clue other than goose stepping to the Trump nazi mantra.  Worse than that?  She failed to figuratively hold his feet to the fire while softball questioning him.  Ignored outrageous bullshit from this piece of crap during the confirmation hearing.

"But Warren said Carson made detailed promises on everything from protecting anti-homelessness programs to enforcing fair housing laws in response to her questions."

Inexplicably, cluelessly bought his bullshit.  ... Hey, Liz?  Wake up.

2-3-17

While the Trump nazi and his henchmen plan to build the Keystone pipeline to line corporate coffers, others continue to leak.  NPR reports:

"An underground pipeline that runs through multiple Midwestern states has leaked an estimated 138,000 gallons of diesel fuel, according to the company that owns it, Magellan Midstream Partners."

Things have grown a bit more difficult with an unexpected resignation.  In another NPR article, it is reported:

"Just as President Trump takes power promising to ramp up oil and gas production, a sudden resignation in a key agency threatens to put such projects on hold across the United States.  On Thursday, Norman Bay, one of just three current members of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), said he would resign effective Feb. 3, even though his term isn't up until next year. His announcement came shortly after Trump decided Bay's fellow commissioner, Cheryl LaFleur, would serve as the Commission's new chair."

Might slow the Trump nazi down until resolved:

"The resignation could mean costly delays for some major pipeline projects. The independent agency oversees the interstate transmission of electricity, natural gas and oil. It's supposed to have five commissioners, but Bay's departure leaves FERC with just two — not enough for the required quorum to make decisions. Some projects that have been through years of regulatory review and were nearing the finish line could now be in limbo for months."

Be interesting to see how this plays out.

ABC News reports:

"The longtime chief executive of a Georgia-based national pipeline network is retiring months after two spills and an explosion that killed an Alabama worker and constricted the region's supply of gasoline.  Colonial Pipeline CEO Tim Felt said in a news release Thursday that it was his decision to step down from the Alpharetta, Georgia company at the end of January.  The pipeline, which transports gasoline from the Gulf Coast to New York City, exploded in October while a central Alabama crew was making repairs related to a September spill that shut down fuel shipments for more than a week. One contractor was killed and five others injured."

Time for a Manhattan Project-style crash program to make our country truly energy independent via renewable sources.  A matter of research, development, engineering.  Most importantly?  Determination.  Time to break the stranglehold of Big Oil.

2-3-17

Think the 'Justice' Department may be, inadvertently or otherwise, rubber stamping the Trump nazi?  NPR reports:

"The U.S. Justice Department said it has "no comment" on whether its Office of Legal Counsel has reviewed any of President Trump's executive orders, which have met with criticism this week because of vague language and possible conflicts with legal precedents."

Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil?

2-3-17

So what else is new?  The Republican way, isn't it?  Deliberate failure to pay a livable wage to exponentially increase corporate profits.  CBS News reports:

"Worker advocates are questioning the fitness of U.S. Labor Secretary nominee Andrew Puzder to lead the agency, claiming that the restaurant company he has led for more than a decade does not pay employees a living wage."

Indeed, a problem across the country.

"In a report, the National Employment Law Project (NELP) contends that “low pay” and “lack of benefits” at the thousands of fast-food restaurants owned or franchised by subsidiaries of CKE Restaurants -- which include the Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. burger chains -- have forced many employees to rely on public-assistance programs to put food on the table and pay for other necessities. The estimated cost to U.S. taxpayers: $247 million a year."

Called corporate greed.  How can these greedy bastards consider themselves 'conservative' when they deliberately loot taxpayers?

2-3-17

The Aryan arrogance of the Trump nazi and his henchmen remains determinedly bottomless.  Think not?  Wake up.  ABC News reports:

"New U.S. ambassador Nikki Haley in her first visit to the United Nations put U.S. allies on notice: "For those that don’t have our back, we’re taking names."

Sounds like a thinly veiled threat, Madam Ambassador.  Is it?

"After making the remarks to reporters at U.N. headquarters in New York, the new U.S. envoy to the international organization did not take questions about what exactly she meant, saying only, "We will make points to respond to that accordingly."

That's called bullshit.  Achingly unresponsive non-answer to a valid question.  Another example of "alternative facts?"

"This is a time of strength, this is a time of action, this is a time of getting things done," Haley added."

Is it?  How so, Madam Ambassador?  Your response is a non sequitur.  You didn't even have the guts to responsively answer the goddamned question.  Can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit?

"Her remarks came three days after her nomination to represent the U.S. at the United Nations was confirmed by the U.S. Senate and two days after her visit to President Donald Trump at the White House."

Clearly, the clueless national socialist got her marching orders from the Trump nazi.

2-3-17

Think the following will improve under the Trump nazi?  NPR reports:

"For several years, Oxfam International has released an annual report on global wealth inequity. The numbers were startling: In the 2016 report, Oxfam said the world's richest 62 people owned as much wealth as the poorest 3.6 billion.  The numbers were also wrong, Oxfam announced Monday. Better data show that last year's report should have said that just nine billionaires possessed as much wealth as the poorest half of the planet in 2016."

Gets worse:

"And this year, Oxfam says, you only need eight megarich men to balance the scales with the accumulated wealth of 3.6 billion people.  The charitable organization's executive director describes the disparity as "obscene."

It is.  Will worsen as Trump and his corporate masters desperately strive to take it all.  Strangle the Golden Goose.  Zero-sum game, winner-take-all.  The Trump nazi remains a ruse, bamboozled his gullible, sick sycophants.

"Inequality is trapping hundreds of millions in poverty," Winnie Byanyima said in a statement. "It is fracturing our societies and undermining democracy."

Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon.

"All the billionaires on the Forbes 2016 list — 1,810 people — possess as much wealth as a full 70 percent of the rest of the world, Oxfam concludes."

A raucous boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Sieg Heil!, Mr. 'President?'  Where is your swastika armband?  You and your henchmen are out of uniform.

2-3-17

A portend of things to come?  Get this.  The Washington Post reports:

"Secretary of State [nominee] Rex Tillerson’s job running the State Department just got considerably more difficult. The entire senior level of management officials resigned Wednesday, part of an ongoing mass exodus of senior foreign service officers who don’t want to stick around for the Trump era."

Another great solution to slowing the Trump nazi down.  Should occur across the board.  Make it as difficult as possible for Trump and his henchmen to impose The Fourth Reich.  They desperately need lower level administrators and staffers to keep the show running.  Certainly, can't do it on their own.  Don't have the knowledge, experience.

Amazing how achingly ignorant Trump supporters truly are.  Think not?  Wake up.  Fox News reports:

"During his MLB career, slugger Aubrey Huff was employed by five teams – so the man knows how to find a job. Huff just isn’t so sure those protesting the Trump administration have the same skill."  The two-time World Series champ took to Twitter on Sunday night to rail against the people clogging airports around the nation during the weekend in response to President Trump’s executive order establishing certain travel restrictions."

Amazing how hopelessly ignorant the Nazi Right has become.  They cannot seem to understand principle trumps political expediency.  To say nothing of lining one's pockets as Fox and Huff are so remarkably good at doing.  That is, looting the bottom of the food chain and the rapidly vanishing middle class.

Huff certainly contributed to the problem during his playing days.  Forget?  Not many can afford to take their kids to a baseball game any longer.  Due to the bottomless greed of the chosen few fortunate enough to be in major league baseball.  Spoiled prima donnas who all too often fail to eschew performance enhancing drugs.

“I mean, seriously, what the hell is going on? If you have time 2 march, protest and riot. Maybe it’s time for something called a job!” Huff tweeted."

What makes you think they aren't employed, you clueless, haughty, condescending, patronizing, arrogant son of a bitch?  They're doing their civic duty.  Standing up for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  -- Unlike you, Mr. Huff.  Better check the news, sir.  You're achingly uninformed.  There was no rioting during the weekend protest.  Just talking out your clueless, ignorant ass?

The Sessions confirmation vote is coming up.  NBC News reports:

"On Tuesday, the Senate Judiciary Committee is set to hold its final hearing and vote on Jeff Sessions, President Trump's nominee for Attorney General. The vote was delayed during last Tuesday's hearing amid calls for a delay from Democrats and groups like the ACLU. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., requested the hold, citing 200 pages of written answers to questions that Sessions did not submit until the Sunday before the scheduled vote."

GOP nazis are determined to ramrod this highly unqualified, homophobic, racist national socialist into office.

"President Trump vowed to pass the First Amendment Defense Act, or FADA, if it is reintroduced this congressional term. Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho, and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, have both publicly stated they plan to reintroduce the bill this year. Originally introduced in 2015, the bill failed after critics pointed out its potential to codify discrimination against LGBTQ people, unmarried heterosexual couples and unwed mothers."

Outrageously, unconstitutional.  The intention of the bill is not to defend the First Amendment, but to eviscerate it.

"Not only does Sessions vocally support FADA, he was one of the bill's original sponsors. Attorneys General rarely come straight from Congress, putting Sessions in the unique position of being tasked with enforcing his own controversial law in a fair and unbiased manner. Further complicating the matter is the fact that Trump's Health and Human Services nominee, Tom Price, also signed on to the bill."

No egregious conflict of interest here, is there?  No, no, no.

"In December, Lambda Legal Law and Policy Director Jennifer Pizer told NBC Out the bill "violates both Equal Protection and the Establishment Clause by elevating one set of religious beliefs above all others, and by targeting LGBT Americans as a group, contrary to settled constitutional law."

This is a nazi bill, promulgated by nazi Republicans.  Desperate to force their outrageously perverse ideological and religious views on all.  Subsequent to writing the above, Sessions nomination is out of committee, on its way to the Senate floor for a vote.  The Sessions nazi is out of uniform.  Where is his swastika armband?

2-3-17

Must be particularly galling to the Trump nazi religious leaders are opposed to his immigration executive order.  CNN reports:

"Few issues unite American religious leaders across the spiritual and political spectrum. Condemning President Donald Trump's new executive order on immigration is now one of them.  But will the people in the pews heed their calls to action?  Since the order was released on Friday, a growing chorus of top Christians, Muslims, Jews and leaders of other faiths have denounced it, calling it contrary to their spiritual traditions and the country's values."

Coup de grace?

"Even Trump's childhood church has condemned the executive order."

Couldn't be, could it?

"The Rev. J. Herbert Nelson, the top official in the Presbyterian Church (USA), called Trump's order "a miscarriage of justice."

It is.

"I urge the president and his administration to reverse this very harmful decision regarding refugees," Nelson said. "Presbyterians are not afraid of this so-called terror threat. We are not afraid because we profess a faith in Jesus, who entered the world a refugee."

Indeed, Christ did.

"As a boy, Trump attended a Presbyterian church in Queens, New York, that is now part of the Presbyterian Church (USA). He still calls himself a Presbyterian, though he no longer regularly attends church services."

2-3-17

The Trump nazi is deliberately placing U.S.-European relations in jeopardy.  Think not?  Wake up.  CBS/AP reports:

"European Union President Donald Tusk says the first weeks of Donald Trump’s presidency are contributing to the “highly unpredictable” outlook for the bloc.  In a letter to 27 EU leaders, Tusk mentioned the Trump administration as part of an external “threat” to the bloc alongside China, Russia, radical Islam, war and terror. The letter was not sent to Britain, which is poised to leave the bloc."

Readers are respectfully reminded exceptionally close U.S.-European relations and cooperation have prevented a third world war in what had been quite a volatile region in the last century, -- especially, since before and after the end of the Second World War.

"Echoing statements from many European capitals, he said that those global challenges, “as well as worrying declarations by the new American administration, all make our future highly unpredictable.”

Indeed, that's sadly true.

“Particularly the change in Washington puts the European Union in a difficult situation; with the new administration seeming to put into question the last 70 years of American foreign policy,” Tusk said.  U.S. allies in Europe have been particularly troubled by the rhetoric used by Mr. Trump and his closest advisers regarding the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), a cornerstone of American security policy for seven decades that the new U.S. leader has called “obsolete.”

As any fascist, the Trump nazi views his world in terms of black and white, no shades of gray, certainly no brilliant hues of color.  The vision of a nazi is determinedly myopic.  Particularly, why a national socialist remains an exigent threat to world stability.  To say nothing of all civil and constitutional rights and liberties, -- he remains an exigent threat to, in our formerly great country.

"Mr. Trump has called into question -- for the first time since the U.S. helped create NATO in the wake of World War II -- whether America would help defend its treaty allies in the face of aggression from an increasingly-assertive Russia."

This is extremely dangerous.  What is so surprising is the fact only two Republicans, McCain and Graham, seem to understand the threat posed by Putin and his henchmen.  Apparently, Republicans now solely place partisanship over principle.

2-3-17

In deference to the Trump nazi, Republican national socialists in statehouses across the country are determinedly passing legislation designed to squelch dissent by increasing penalties on protesters.  In effect, turning protest into a felony.  In direct violation of the First Amendment.  NPR reports:

"From the Black Lives Matter movement to environmentalists trying to stop new oil pipelines to the recent Women's March against President Trump, the past year has been filled with large, often spontaneous protests.  Now the reaction to those protests is appearing in a number of Republican-controlled statehouses across the country where lawmakers are introducing proposals to increase penalties for those who block roadways while protesting."

Turning it into a felony to squelch dissent.  Crush all opposition.

"Opponents of the bill call it an attack on free speech.  "Republicans have taken over state legislatures across the country and they appear interested in punishing people with different views than theirs," said Democratic Senator Joe Bolckom of Iowa City."

Nazis in the Republican Party remain incapable of cogently, intelligently defending the indefensible, that is, their psychotic embrace of nazism, determined imposition of The Fourth Reich.  Instead, they choose, in effect, to criminalize protest.

"As protests continue to ramp up nationwide, Rita Bettis with the American Civil Liberties Union of Iowa, says elected officials should be protecting free speech rights. She says bills like the one in her state do the opposite.  "In our country where the government's power flows from the people, peaceful protest is a source of democratic strength not a weakness and it deserves to be protected and cherished," Bettis says. "Not attacked."

If an achingly inept Republican national socialist cannot effectively argue his embrace of fascism, the gutless bastard does the next best thing.  Criminalizes protest.  A felony for blocking traffic?  Proof positive the Trump nazi, his henchmen, clueless shills in the GOP are doing all they can to impose The Fourth Reich.

2-3-17

Ferocious but peaceful resistance can extend to the work place.  The Washington Post reports:

"But members of the federal bureaucracy aren’t the only employees with the tools to resist Trump from their workplaces. Workers of all kinds can use these slow-down strategies to great effect. In an article for the Nation titled “Throw Sand in the Gears of Everything,” Frances Fox Piven called for strategies of disruption and described how the “repercussions of such mass refusals can be far-reaching, simply because social life depends on systems of intricate cooperation. So does our system of governance.” Slow-downs and “work-to-rule” campaigns can sap the productivity of employers pushing anti-worker (and anti-social) policies. In the 1970s, two years after a strike that won female workers’ wage parity, the workers in the Ford plant in Dagenham, England, introduced a successful slow-down in response to management repeatedly speeding up production. Plant occupations and sit-down strikes have also helped workers fight back against major financial institutions. In 2008, 200 workers at Republic Windows and Doors in Chicago engaged in a sit-down strike that brought the Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase to the table and kept the plant open."

Time to peacefully stand up to nazi government, -- and its corporate masters.

2-3-17

Opposition is exponentially growing to the Trump nazi and his henchmen.  So much so there is an effort in California to break ties with our formerly great country.  Sounds ludicrous, doesn't it?  NPR reports:

"Acknowledging that the legal and political obstacles are formidable, the proponent of a state ballot measure to sever California's ties with the United States and form its own nation has been cleared to start collecting signatures.  If passed by voters, the measure, "California Nationhood. Initiative Constitutional Amendment and Statute," would remove language from the state constitution describing California as "an inseparable part of the United States of America" and require the governor to request admission for California to the United Nations.  That would be just the start of a long and arduous path to nationhood."

Unlikely to ever happen. There are those here in Nazi Texas, including the former Governor, who wish to do the same, that is declare independence.  For quite achingly opposite reasons, however.  LOL.  This is precisely why it will likely never happen:

"Ultimately, secession would require a federal constitutional amendment and require two-thirds of the states to approve it."

2-3-17

The Trump nazi has haughtily announced his nomination for the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge Neil Gorsuch.  Gorsuch is a bona fide national socialist cut in the mold of the late not-so-great Antonin "Tony Boy" Scalia.  That is, this fascist son of a bitch will, like Scalia, legislate his outrageously perverse ideological and religious views from the bench.

Opposition from Democrats was ferocious,  lightening swift coming after the announcement, leading the Trump nazi to urge his fellow Republican nazis in the Senate to employ the nuclear option.  That is, change Senate rules to prevent a Democratic filibuster.  This piece of shit, like the four other GOP national socialists already on the Supreme Court, will indeed present an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  More to come as the confirmation battle ensues.

2-3-17

The following carefully annotated passage from a recent Cruz Newsletter illustrates precisely the fanaticism of not only Cruz, but the Trump nazi and the rest of the Republican Party:

"Sen. Cruz released the following statement in recognition of the March for Life, where millions of Americans will gather in D.C. and across the nation in defense of policies at all levels of government that defend innocent life:

... But first, does the Senator mean all the innocent executed in Nazi Texas for crimes they did not commit?  All the soldiers killed in action since the end of the Second World War to line the bottomless pockets of corporate war profiteers and their shareholders?  All innocent unarmed citizens murdered by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue with impunity?  The list can go on and on.  Yet, nazis like "Screws Loose" Cruz couldn't care less.

“As millions of Americans gather in D.C. and cities all across the country today to recognize the fundamental right to life, we mourn and remember the 57 million innocent, unborn lives that have been ended by abortion since Roe v. Wade was decided 44 years ago. I want to thank all who are marching today and all who are fighting tirelessly to rectify this injustice and defend the unborn."

The Senator does not recognize "the fundamental right to life."  If he did, he'd condemn the State of Texas for executing innocent citizens, all the wars fought only to line corporate coffers and the pockets of shareholders, all the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue who murder on the job with impunity.  This nazi piece of shit cannot grasp the fact he and his fellow lunatics have no right to dictate to a woman what she can and cannot do with her uterus.  That it's egregiously un-American to force his outrageously perverse ideological and religious views on others through the force of law.

"Their heroic efforts continue to speak the truth in love and make great strides in restoring the sanctity of life throughout the 50 states."

"Heroic?'  How is it "heroic" to force your haughty beliefs on others, Senator?  Who's "truth"?  That of a nazi who has no clue what "love" is?  Only how to abrogate all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  In direct violation of your oath of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution including the Bill of Rights.  This piece of shit clearly has no idea what the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is church-state separation, freedom from religion truly means.

"I stand with you all and remain firmly committed to efforts that will minimize and, hopefully one day, put an end to the scourge of abortion upon our society."

The true "scourge", Senator, is your determination, and those of others who 'think' like you, to eviscerate church-state separation guarantied by the First Amendment, that is, force your perverse ideological views and religious beliefs on the rest of us.  Your determination to dictate what a woman can and cannot do with her uterus is achingly haughty, unbecoming a United States Senator.

"With your efforts we can bring a light of hope and restore a culture of life in America. Each life is a gift from God. Without life, there is no liberty."

Conveniently forget, Senator?  Millions of U.S. military personnel have died on the battlefield defending the very same civil and constitutional rights and liberties you remain so desperate to eviscerate.  Including the constitutional right to abort.

"So today, and every day, we stand united for life, and we resolve to always cherish and defend it."

Senator, like the Trump nazi, you remain a goddamned liar.  You gutlessly ignore all the murders committed on the job by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue, all the needless deaths on the battlefield to line corporate coffers of war profiteers and their shareholders, to say nothing of all the innocent executed in the not-so-free State of Nazi Texas.  Defense of innocent life?  You haven't a clue you nazi son of a bitch.

"Sen. Cruz has been a leader in efforts to defend life throughout his career. Earlier this week, he joined with colleagues to reintroduce the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, sponsored by Sen. Ben Sasse, which requires that a child born alive as a result of an abortion must be given the same degree of health care as any other child born alive at that gestational stage."

What are you talking about Senator?  Take your head out of your ass.  Ignorance is unbecoming.  Conveniently forget?  Partial birth abortion procedures were performed because clueless fascist bastards like you were all too ready to indict doctors performing abortions with murder.  You and your fellow goddamned nazis do all you can to deny woman the constitutional right to an abortion.

"He also advocated last Friday in a Senate resolution to reinstate the Mexico City policy to ensure that American taxpayer dollars are not spent to promote abortion in foreign countries."

As in our formerly great nation that used to believe in liberty, it's none of your goddamned business to dictate to women in other countries what they can and cannot do with their uterus, Senator.

"After years of not being enforced under the Obama Administration, President Donald Trump reinstated the Mexico City policy via executive order earlier this week."

Proof positive the Trump nazi, just like "Screws Loose" Cruz, has intentionally abrogated his oath of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution including the Bill of Rights.  ... What does it feel like to be a traitor, Senator?

"In the U.S. Senate, Sen. Cruz has led efforts to take away taxpayer dollars from Planned Parenthood and advocated for an investigation into abortion practices in the U.S. to put a stop to facilities and doctors illegally performing late term abortions and infanticide."

More unadulterated bullshit, egregious distortion of reality.  Cruz, like the Trump nazi, is a congenital liar.  What he claims is simply untrue.  Perpetrated to force his perverse ideological and religious views on the rest of us.

"As Solicitor General of Texas he led the charge on behalf of 13 states to successfully defend a federal law that bans partial birth abortion before the U.S. Supreme Court."

... A determinedly national socialist, fascist Supreme Court dominated by the Scalia nazi at the time and his equally national socialist compadres.

The medical community is not happy with the Trump nazi's immigration executive orders.  NBC News reports:

"President Donald Trump's new immigration orders are harmful and will worsen the plight of children fleeing for their lives, pediatricians said Wednesday.  And they will scare the children of immigrants already living in the country, causing toxic stress, the American Academy of Pediatrics said in a strongly worded statement.  "The Executive Orders signed today are harmful to immigrant children and families throughout our country," AAP President Fernando Stein said. "Many of the children who will be most affected are the victims of unspeakable violence and have been exposed to trauma.  "Children do not immigrate, they flee," Stein said. "They are coming to the U.S. seeking safe haven in our country and they need our compassion and assistance. Broad scale expansion of family detention only exacerbates their suffering."

The Trump nazi and his henchmen couldn't care less about the human toll.  Forget?  No nazi does.  Yet, these pieces of shit claim to be Christians.

2-3-17

Trouble in paradise?  Republicans are profoundly conflicted vis a vis replacement of Obamacare. The Washington Post reports:

"Republican lawmakers aired sharp concerns about their party’s quick push to repeal the Affordable Care Act inside a closed-door meeting Thursday, according to a recording of the session obtained by The Washington Post.  The recording reveals a GOP that appears to be filled with doubts about how to make good on a long-standing promise to get rid of Obamacare without explicit guidance from President Trump or his administration."

Say what?  Not all on the same page?  Haven't long since worked it out?  Need guidance from the Trump nazi?  A thieving son of a bitch who's looted unpaid contractors to build his business empire, fleeced students at Trump University, used Trump Foundation funds to line his pockets?

"Senators and House members expressed a range of concerns about the task ahead: how to prepare a replacement plan that can be ready to launch at the time of repeal; how to avoid deep damage to the health insurance market; how to keep premiums affordable for middle-class families; even how to avoid the political consequences of defunding Planned Parenthood, the women’s health-care organization, as many Republicans hope to do with the repeal of the ACA."

As bad as Obamacare truly is, Republicans have no clue.  Think hard.  Harder.  If middlemen are involved, a.k.a. insurance companies, you exponentially increase cost of care.  Forget?  The insurance cartel corporate management suite has to handsomely line its pockets and those of shareholders.  Coupled with the greed of providers, this is precisely why Obamacare is on the skids.

The GOP can't seem to understand the only viable solution to this problem is single payer universal coverage.  As in Canada and Europe.  It is the only way to rein in bottomless provider greed.  Again, precisely, one of the principle reasons Obamacare is failing.  Equally pointedly?  Proof positive there is no such thing as a 'free' market.

That concept is a ruse implemented by the corporate management suite to line its pockets, while hopelessly deceiving a gullible, aggressively stupid, achingly ignorant public.  To provide the illusion that consumers some way, some how have some meaningful control of their lives.  For all practical purposes, they don't.

-- Too busy just trying to survive one day to the next.  The market is owned, operated, manipulated by those with the wealth.  To line their pockets.  Get their cookies off abusing power.

“We’d better be sure that we’re prepared to live with the market we’ve created [with repeal],” said Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.). “That’s going to be called Trumpcare. Republicans will own that lock, stock and barrel, and we’ll be judged in the election less than two years away.”

Indeed.  Long-term readers will recall this point has been repeatedly made in this publication and elsewhere.

2-3-17

At the root of the problem above is endless corporate greed by providers.  So well insinuated into the system that only a single payer can ultimately remedy the problem.  Precisely, why healthcare works so incredibly well in Canada and Europe.  When GOP nazis claim otherwise, they're lying.  NPR reports:

"The long arm of the pharmaceutical industry continues to pervade practically every area of medicine, reaching those who write guidelines that shape doctors' practices, patient advocacy organizations, letter writers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and even oncologists on Twitter, according to a series of papers on money and influence published Tuesday in JAMA Internal Medicine."

This has to end.  The proverbial back of corporate greed has to be broken.

"The findings of the papers provide further evidence showing how conflicts of interest help shape health care, a subject ProPublica has explored through its Dollars for Docs series since 2010. (Check whether your physician receives money from drug or device companies through ProPublica's search tool.)"

Entire system reeks.  Desperately needs revamp top to bottom, bottom to top.  Won't happen with GOP national socialists ruling the Oval Office, Congress, and the courts.  Just more of the same.  ... Until the house of cards collapses.

2-3-17

Further proof of the above?  GOP nazis in Arkansas are again stupidly, figuratively shooting themselves in the ass.  ABC News reports:

"Arkansas is poised to become the third state to ban a commonly used second-trimester abortion procedure under restrictions lawmakers approved Thursday that are expected to face a legal challenge.  The majority-GOP Senate voted 25-6 to ban the procedure known as dilation and evacuation, which abortion-rights supporters contend is the safest and most common procedure used in second-trimester abortions. The legislation now goes to the desk of Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who said he will sign it into law as soon as Thursday afternoon."

These goddamned Republican nazis never seem to tire of forcing their outrageously perverse ideological and religious views on all.  In direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is, church-state separation, freedom from religion.  These haughty GOP self-righteous fascist bastards insist on practicing medicine without a license.  Yet, keep getting returned to office.

2-3-17

The Trump nazi is again engaging in highly deceptive symbolism over substance.  CBS News reports:

"The White House says the new administration has no interest in rolling back protections of LGBTQ workers.  “President Donald J. Trump is determined to protect the rights of all Americans, including the LGBTQ community,” said a White House statement released Tuesday morning. The statement goes on to say that a 2014 executive order prohibiting discrimination against LGBTQ employees at federal contractors will remain in effect."

This involves only a relatively small portion of the LGBT community.  What will certainly be far more important is how the Trump nazi approaches other pending LGBT issues.  To say nothing of the effects of a homophobic U.S. Attorney General on the LGBT community should Sessions be confirmed.

1-27-17

The games begin. The Washington Times reports:

"President Trump is keeping an online petition feature of the White House’s web site, and the first petition on Friday is demanding that he release his tax returns.  “Immediately release Donald Trump’s full tax returns, with all information needed to verify emoluments clause compliance,” the petition states.  Mr. Trump has consistently said he will not release tax returns while they are under audit."

The Trump nazi is a liar.  Refuses to release this information to protect his sorry ass.  These returns would offer proof positive of the nature of his business relationships not only domestically, but equally importantly, overseas.  Can't have that.  Would be unprecedented  transparency for this fascist.   Could also offer proof whether or not he is in compliance with the Emoluments Clause.

1-27-17

The following is the oath of office the Trump nazi falsely swore:

"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Read those words once again very, very carefully.  The 'President' has already violated his oath.  Think not?  Consider the following.  It is from whitehouse.gov.  Appeared on the 'President's' website shortly after his oath of office:

"Standing Up For Our Law Enforcement Community"

As published week after week after week in this publication and elsewhere, the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue murder innocent unarmed people all over this formerly great country.  Shake down the innocent to line government coffers.  Are abusive, brutal, vicious dealing with the public.  Consent decree after consent decree issued by the Justice Department against police department after police department provide proof positive.

Yet, the Trump nazi and his henchmen intend to stand up for these outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept pieces of shit?  The Trump nazi is deliberately ignoring police malfeasance all across this nation.  It is a violation of his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution.   Failure to enforce constitutional rights and liberties guarantied by the Bill of Rights.

The following is achingly chilling and an indication the Trump nazi intends to continue deliberately shitting on the Bill of Rights, including all civil and constitutional rights and liberties:

"One of the fundamental rights of every American is to live in a safe community. A Trump Administration will empower our law enforcement officers to do their jobs and keep our streets free of crime and violence. The Trump Administration will be a law and order administration. President Trump will honor our men and women in uniform and will support their mission of protecting the public. The dangerous anti-police atmosphere in America is wrong. The Trump Administration will end it."

The Trump nazi, as usual, has it ass backwards.  The streets are unsafe all across our formerly great country because the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue have become predators.  Get their cookies off abusing power, shaking down the innocent to line government coffers.  Beat the living shit out of innocent people because their victims won't humbly kiss their jackbooted nazi asses.  Consent decree after consent decree offer proof positive this is true.

Since the Trump nazi is asserting his "will be a law and order administration" means the jackbooted bastards in blue will be more vicious, abusive, corrupt, inept, murderous than they already are.  The Trump nazi is, in effect, giving the bastards carte blanche to do as they please.  This is why protest must be ferocious, but peaceful.

If you engage in violence, you give the murderous jackbooted bastards in blue carte blanche to murder with impunity.  Precisely, what many of these jackbooted fascist storm troopers in blue want.  The Trump nazi has again lied.  Has no interest in protection of the public.  Quite the opposite.  Intends to subjugate the masses.  Under his boot heel and those of his jackbooted bastards.

The Trump nazi haughtily claims: "The dangerous anti-police atmosphere in America is wrong. The Trump Administration will end it."  Ferocious public criticism of law enforcement is solely generated by the criminal behavior of the jackbooted bastards in blue, themselves.  The right to protest is guarantied by The First Amendment.

What does the Trump nazi intend to do to unconstitutionally abrogate this right?  Lock us up? F--k the nazi.  Abrogation of this right will simply generate additional dissent, ferocious but peaceful resistance to this goddamned national socialist, psychotic piece of shit.  The Trump nazi, his henchmen, his ignorant shills apparently are deaf.  Can't hear the rumble.  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon.

The only way to ameliorate protest is to arrest, charge, try, convict, imprison and/or execute the criminal murderous jackbooted bastards in blue.  Until that happens, protest will continue.  Exponentially grow as the country continues to nazify.

"Our country needs more law enforcement, more community engagement, and more effective policing."

The Trump nazi has it ass backwards.  We're already over policed.  Officers need far more training, must be better educated with a bachelors degree in police science, a masters in the social sciences, must be professionally paid with a starting salary of $100K.  If officers were far more professional, we'd need far fewer of them.  There will be little to no community support until the abuses end.

"It is the first duty of government to keep the innocent safe, and President Donald Trump will fight for the safety of every American, and especially those Americans who have not known safe neighborhoods for a very long time."

Again, more of the same old bullshit.  The first obligation of government is to follow the Constitution and rule of law.  No longer does.  As Adolf Hitler, the Trump nazi lies about the level of crime in order to consolidate power, turn the fascist police-state we already live in into The Fourth Reich.  This is intolerable.  The Trump nazi and his henchmen represent an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

In his inauguration speech, the Trump nazi falsely asserted:

"Today’s ceremony, however, has very special meaning. Because today we are not merely transferring power from one Administration to another, or from one party to another – but we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the American People."

Trump is a liar.  The fact he and his Cabinet members are national socialist oligarchs screams otherwise.  You've been bamboozled.  This fascist piece of shit and his henchmen will further line the pockets of the corporate management suite, shareholders, the top 1%.  There will be no return of manufacturing to this country for two reasons.

The first is automation.  Second, the corporate management suite has no incentive to return jobs to this country when it can get near free labor overseas.  Tax breaks for these greedy savages will not change anything, -- other than further enrich the pockets of the corporate management suite and shareholders.  Forget?  Corporate profits and cash reserves already remain at record levels.  Yet, the greedy bastards still won't relinquish what amounts to little more than slave labor overseas.

"For too long, a small group in our nation’s Capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost.  Washington flourished – but the people did not share in its wealth.  Politicians prospered – but the jobs left, and the factories closed.  The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country.  Their victories have not been your victories; their triumphs have not been your triumphs; and while they celebrated in our nation’s Capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land."

The Trump nazi sounds more like a Democrat than a Republican.  The nazi fails to mention, however, that it is he, and oligarchs like him in the corporate management suite, -- and the top 1% that own government.  All levels.  They're all bought and paid for.  Have been for decades.  The fact the Trump nazi has not disclosed his taxes, refused to put all assets in a blind trust, has appointed corporate titans to nearly all his Cabinet posts, has fleeced contractors responsible for building his empire, fleeced students at Trump University, used Trump Foundation funds to line his pockets are proof positive he remains no more than a phony charlatan.  Think not?  Wake up:

His second Executive Order provides a portend of what's to come.  Get this.  The Washington Post reports:

"Earlier Friday, in the Capitol, the new president took several more perfunctory executive actions shortly after he was sworn in at noon, the most notable being to overturn a recent mortgage-fee reduction — geared at helping first-time and low-income home buyers — that Obama announced last week and that called for the Federal Housing Administration to cut its annual borrowing fee by a quarter of a percentage point."

This is the first deliberate f--king of the idiots who voted for this charlatan.  Certainly, sadly belies the following from his phony inaugural speech:

"That all changes – starting right here, and right now, because this moment is your moment: it belongs to you.  It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America.  This is your day. This is your celebration."

It is?  Then why did you sign your second Executive Order, Mr. 'President,' that deliberately screws your constituents and benefits the top 1%?

"From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land."

What's that, Mr. 'President?' National socialism?

"From this moment on, it’s going to be America First."

"America First" is an old slogan that dates back to just before the United States entered the Second World War.  ... When American German Nazi supporters, sympathizers like Charles Lindbergh did not want America to join the fight against Hitler's Third Reich.  Now, we have the Trump nazi, his henchmen, clueless GOP shills desperate to impose The Fourth Reich on our formerly great country.

Fox News reports:

"Immediately following President Donald Trump's inaugural address, MSNBC and ABC pundits and hosts slammed the newly-sworn in President's speech for its "militant" and "dark" anti-Semitic overtones.  MSNBC's Rachel Maddow emotionally proclaimed Trump's "America's First" slogan has "very dark echoes in American history."  "There was an America First Committee that formed in this country, hundreds of thousands of people in this country, some of the richest businessmen in the country who were part of it, they were formed to keep us out of World War II. They were infiltrated by the Nazis, many of them are anti-Semitic, part of why they weren't alarmed by Hitler's rise in Germany," Maddow said."

Maddow is correct. This is the history of Trump's fascist slogan.  Recycled from the German Nazi era.

Yet, another chilling reminder from the inaugural speech precisely how dangerous the Trump nazi truly is to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties:

"At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other."

This could have been straight out of a Hitler news reel some eighty years ago.  This fascist son of a bitch is calling for all of us to goose step together.  That's not going to happen, Mr. 'President.'  You will receive ferocious, but peaceful resistance to your imposition of The Fourth Reich.

"When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice."

That's abject bullshit, Mr. 'President.'  Hitler's Third Reich screams otherwise.  The German public was extremely patriotic, supported the Nazi Fuhrer.  Were nearly universally bigoted against Jews, Roma, the LGBT community, etc..

"The Bible tells us, “how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”

The Trump nazi does not grasp the fact the United States is not a theocracy.  Remains a country of many different religions, in some cases, none.  He deliberately perverts religion to further his goals, lending credence to the fact he is no more than a goddamned fascist.  Forget?  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity."

This is double talk.  Called talking out both sides the ass.  There is no honest debate if "solidarity" remains a condition.  Trump's last assertion above is the mark of a dictator determined to impose his vision on all.  No more than an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

"When America is united, America is totally unstoppable."

Hitler and Mussolini opined the same.  With horrendous consequences to the world community.

"A new national pride will stir our souls, lift our sights, and heal our divisions."

The hell it will, Mr. Trump.  Your imposition of The Fourth Reich will do the direct opposite.

Trump's take on foreign policy?  Sadly, disjointed.  From whitehouse.gov:

"America First Foreign Policy

"The Trump Administration is committed to a foreign policy focused on American interests and American national security.

"Peace through strength will be at the center of that foreign policy. This principle will make possible a stable, more peaceful world with less conflict and more common ground."

Certainly, hasn't in the past.  Korea, Vietnam, Gulf 1, Gulf 2, Afghanistan, and what continues to this moment scream otherwise.  Even Afghanistan could have been avoided had Bush "The Tush" and "Slick Dick" Cheney done their jobs.  That is, had the State Department properly vetted the 9/11 hijackers, listened to the flight schools who had warned them the bastards only wished to learn how to fly straight and level, not take off and land.  These wars fought since the end of the Second World War were fought primarily to line the pockets of corporate war profiteers.

"Next, we will rebuild the American military. Our Navy has shrunk from more than 500 ships in 1991 to 275 in 2016. Our Air Force is roughly one third smaller than in 1991. President Trump is committed to reversing this trend, because he knows that our military dominance must be unquestioned."

The Defense Budget is already over a half trillion.  Who does the Trump nazi intend to loot to pay for it?  Certainly, not the top 1%.  The middle class is already an endangered species.  What will he do?  Borrow more from the Chinese?  His purported trade policies will launch a trade war.  Where will the money come from to further line the pockets of corporate war profiteers?

Think he can then borrow even more from the Chinese?  As they retaliate for his trade policies?  The Trump nazi is a lunatic who has provided no concrete indication as to precisely how he will do all this.  Trump is hopelessly psychotic if he truly believes any aggressor, including the Russians and Chinese doubt "our military dominance."

"The world will be more peaceful and more prosperous with a stronger and more respected America."

Delusional.  Non-sequitor.  World leaders have already lost respect for the Trump nazi, consider him a loose cannon, a narcissist, a liar who talks out both sides his ass.

The First Amendment Establishment Clause, guaranties church-state separation, that is freedom from religion.  Fascists clearly don't believe that.  Readers are reminded Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini falsely claimed to be Christians.  The Trump nazi, his henchmen, sick sycophants bastardize religion.  Perniciously blend government, business, and religion to advance a national socialist agenda.  Trump is yet another example.  The Washington Post reports:

"Donald Trump heard a sermon Friday morning from a Southern Baptist pastor who has history of inflammatory remarks about Muslims, Mormons, Catholics and gays."

What perverse, convoluted nazi wouldn't?  Par for the course for a national socialist, fascist, bigot.

"The sermon was delivered by Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of First Baptist Church, who compared Trump to the story of the biblical leader Nehemiah who helped rebuild the city of Jerusalem and its walls after the people of Judah had been exiled from the land of Israel."

Again, this is what fascists do.  That is, they bastardize religion to advance their perverse ideology and religious views.  This is why these bastards remain an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  They conveniently ignore the fact this is a democratic republic, not a theocracy.

"Israel had been in bondage for decades, Jeffress explained, and the infrastructure of the country was in shambles, and God did not choose a politician or a priest but chose a builder instead. The first step of rebuilding the nation, Jeffress said, was the building of a wall around Jerusalem to protect its citizens from enemy attack.  “You see, God is not against building walls,” Jeffress said in his sermon at St. John’s Episcopal Church in D.C."

This is the convoluted 'logic' of a nazi who cannot seem to understand not only did Israel rightfully lose Palestine due to its excesses, but a wall here will do nothing to end intractable problems within both Mexico and the United States.  Problems that will exponentially increase as the Trump nazi desperately tries to impose The Fourth Reich.

"He noted that Nehemiah answered his critics by saying: “I’m doing a great work. . . . Why should I stop the work and come down to you?” (Nehemiah 6:3). Trump’s work, he said, “is a work far too important to stop and answer your critics.”

This is a religious fascist of the cloth who is gallingly bastardizing religion to justify the Trump nazi's failure to be accountable for his actions.  This represents an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

"Nehemiah faced setbacks, Jeffress noted, including an economic recession, terrorist attacks from enemies and discouragement among the citizens. “The true measure of a leader is what it takes to stop him,” he said. “And knowing you, I believe it’s going to take a lot to stop you.”

Hitler was stopped.  So was Mussolini.  A democratic republic will not tolerate a fascist dictator.  Resistance is growing stronger.  Must remain peaceful. Otherwise, you grant the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue carte blanche to murder.  Become no better than your oppressors.

"Jeffress was an early supporter of Trump, a Presbyterian who courted evangelicals during the election. Jeffress said in his sermon that it was one year ago this weekend that he was with Trump on his jet flying around Iowa. After sharing Wendy’s cheeseburgers, Jeffress said, he believed Trump would be the next president and that it would be because God placed him there."

This is achingly sick religion.  Hitler, Mussolini delusionally believed the same.

"Jeffress has said in the past that Obama paved the way for the antichrist. He drew wide attention when he condemned Mormonism as a “cult,” telling Christians not to vote for Mitt Romney during the 2012 Republican primary (though he later supported Romney over Obama in the general election). Jeffress has also said Islam is an “evil religion,” that the Catholic Church was led astray by Satan and that gays live a “miserable” and “filthy” lifestyle."

Sick religion.  A sick pastor.  A sick sermon to a psychotic Trump nazi.

The fight was on even before inauguration of the Trump nazi.  The Washington Times reported:

"Even before he takes the oath of office Friday, President-elect Donald Trump already is facing legal action."

Certainly, encouraging.

"The American Civil Liberties Union said it filed a Freedom of Information Act request late Thursday seeking information on conflicts of interest related to Mr. Trump’s and his family’s business interests. The organization, which established a new “Constitution Defense Fund” immediately after Mr. Trump’s election and has vowed to be a leader in the legal fight against the Trump White House, said the action will be the first of many."

Hopefully, this will be the case.  A nazi must be ferociously, but peacefully, resisted.

“We are bringing this first legal action using the Freedom of Information Act to underscore the fact that President Trump is not above the law. Trump took the oath, but he didn’t take the steps necessary to ensure that he and his family’s business interests comply with the Constitution and other federal statutes,” said Anthony D. Romero, the ACLU’s executive director. “Freedom of information requests are our democracy’s X-ray, and they will be vitally important to expose and curb the abuses of a president who believes the rules don’t apply to him and his family."

Indeed.  No fascist ever does.

The Trump nazi may very well ignite a trade war.  Consider the following from whitehouse.gov:

"For too long, Americans have been forced to accept trade deals that put the interests of insiders and the Washington elite over the hard-working men and women of this country. As a result, blue-collar towns and cities have watched their factories close and good-paying jobs move overseas, while Americans face a mounting trade deficit and a devastated manufacturing base."

Again, it's corporate greed that primarily caused the problem, not trade deals.  The 'President' and his henchmen remain clueless.

"With a lifetime of negotiating experience, the President understands how critical it is to put American workers and businesses first when it comes to trade. With tough and fair agreements, international trade can be used to grow our economy, return millions of jobs to America’s shores, and revitalize our nation’s suffering communities."

Unless Trump is very, very careful, he and his henchmen could launch a trade war that will devastate the world community.

"This strategy starts by withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership and making certain that any new trade deals are in the interests of American workers. President Trump is committed to renegotiating NAFTA. If our partners refuse a renegotiation that gives American workers a fair deal, then the President will give notice of the United States’ intent to withdraw from NAFTA."

Should he do this, could be devastating to not only our economy, but that of our trading partners, allies.  Why does this haughty fascist think he'll get agreement when he has nothing to offer them?  We've heard nothing of substance from Trump regarding this issue since he began the campaign.  No more than hollow rhetoric.

"By fighting for fair but tough trade deals, we can bring jobs back to America’s shores, increase wages, and support U.S. manufacturing."

No substance.  No details.  Empty rhetoric.

The future of climate change looks just as bad.  Fox News reports:

"While new President Donald Trump was laying out a short version of his agenda in an inaugural speech, his communications team was busy rewriting the White House website with a slew of new objectives including scrapping environmental regulations it claims kill jobs."

More bullshit.  More health problems for the public as a result of these changes.

"Among the commitments was immediate elimination of the Climate Action Plan and the Waters of the U.S. rule, two administrative regulations Trump’s predecessor, President Obama, considered environmental safeguards. Team Trump deemed them “harmful and unnecessary policies” that hurt the economy and said so on the official Whitehouse.gov website.  “Lifting these restrictions will greatly help American workers, increasing wages by more than $30 billion over the next 7 years,” the website now states."

The 'President' and his henchmen are delusional.  The country will ultimately pay dearly.  The corporate management suite and top 1% of the food chain will get even richer than they already are.  The poor, poorer.  The middle class eviscerated.  Zero-sum game, winner-take-all.

"The rapid reversal of prior policy drew a sharp rebuke from environmentalists.  "Minutes after he was sworn in, any illusion that Trump would act in the best interests of families in this country as President were wiped away by a statement of priorities that constitute an historic mistake on one of the key crises facing our planet and an assault on public health,” Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune said in a statement. “What Trump has released is hardly a plan - it’s a polluter wishlist that will make our air and water dirtier, our climate and international relations more unstable, and our kids sicker. This is a shameful and dark start to Trump’s Presidency, and a slap in the face to any American who thought Trump might pursue the national interest.”

Again, this is precisely why our delusional 'President' and his henchmen must be ferociously, but peacefully resisted.  This will certainly be a bonanza for the corporate management suite and the top 1%.  At expense of the bottom and middle class who will wind up footing the bill.  Think not?  You're a fool.

The Trump nazi remains just as clueless as ever regarding energy policy.  Get this from whitehouse.gov:

"Energy is an essential part of American life and a staple of the world economy. The Trump Administration is committed to energy policies that lower costs for hardworking Americans and maximize the use of American resources, freeing us from dependence on foreign oil."

Then, why hasn't this clueless oligarch proposed a Manhattan Project-style crash program to make this country totally energy independent through accelerating development and implementation of cheap, renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydro, wave power, etc.?  To say nothing of a cheap energy storage system.  All this is possible through engineering, but is unwanted, unsupported by Big Oil which certainly sees the handwriting on the wall.  All the Trump nazi is doing is delaying the inevitable.  To line Big Oil corporate coffers.

"For too long, we’ve been held back by burdensome regulations on our energy industry. President Trump is committed to eliminating harmful and unnecessary policies such as the Climate Action Plan and the Waters of the U.S. rule. Lifting these restrictions will greatly help American workers, increasing wages by more than $30 billion over the next 7 years."

All clueless bullshit.  This country has been raped by Big Oil since the OPEC oil embargo of 1973.  Older readers will recall the price of gas doubled nearly overnight.  Big Oil profits skyrocketed.  The public got screwed yet again in 1979.  The greedy bastards never get enough.  Never fully clean up their spills.  Certainly, have not in Alaska after the Valdez disaster and again, more recently, in the Gulf.  Yet, we continue to pay out the ass for gas.  Even his own corporate tycoons making up his Cabinet think climate change is an issue.  Not so, the Trump nazi.

"Sound energy policy begins with the recognition that we have vast untapped domestic energy reserves right here in America. The Trump Administration will embrace the shale oil and gas revolution to bring jobs and prosperity to millions of Americans. We must take advantage of the estimated $50 trillion in untapped shale, oil, and natural gas reserves, especially those on federal lands that the American people own. We will use the revenues from energy production to rebuild our roads, schools, bridges and public infrastructure. Less expensive energy will be a big boost to American agriculture, as well."

That's delusional.  What's he going to do?  Triple the price at the pump to pay for it?  This national socialist and his henchmen sound like they're straight out of the 50s.

"The Trump Administration is also committed to clean coal technology, and to reviving America’s coal industry, which has been hurting for too long."

More delusional bullshit.  There is no such thing as 'clean coal technology.'  We continue to breathe the pollution created by coal-fired power plants.  Equally troubling, miners are more than paying the price with black lung.  To say nothing of the fact natural gas is cheaper than coal.  The Trump nazi remains clueless.  Why is he embracing failed policies?  To continue lining the pockets of his friends in Big Oil?  At your expense and mine.  Further unadulterated bullshit?

"A brighter future depends on energy policies that stimulate our economy, ensure our security, and protect our health. Under the Trump Administration’s energy policies, that future can become a reality."

This deceptive piece of shit remains all talk.  Has provided no details of exactly how he plans to follow through.  Bought his bullshit?  Believe it?

Has been absolutely no resolution of all Trump's conflicts of interest.  NPR reports:

"Although Trump has settled a few of the outstanding legal and regulatory disputes hanging over him, he remains in the unusual position of presiding over countless policy decisions that will affect his own businesses.  "There's an issue about whether the president and his family will use the presidency for self-enrichment," says Robert Weissman, president of the advocacy group Public Citizen in an interview with NPR."

There is no question that will happen.  When it does, his own party will impeach, convict, and remove him from office.  As they did the Nixon criminal over forty years ago.  It's called enlightened self interest.

"But, Weissman says, "The most important part of the problem is how these conflicts will affect policy-making. That is an inescapable and pervasive problem. It doesn't matter whether or not Donald Trump is operating in good faith. So long as he has these conflicts, he can't not know what he owns and he also can't not know how policy decisions will affect his businesses."

This is why it is essential for the Trump nazi to divest.  Otherwise, he'll have a constitutional problem, be in violation of the Emoluments Clause.

1-27-17

Women's marches all over the country are giving the Trump nazi hell.  CBS News reports:

"Top Democrats are turning out Saturday for the Women’s Marches across the country -- including liberal icon Elizabeth Warren, who fired up a crowd in Boston."

Certainly, did.

“Yesterday, Donald Trump was sworn in as president. That sight is now burned into my eyes forever,” Warren told the crowd, which the Boston mayor’s office estimated was reached many as 150,000 people. “And I hope the same is true for you — because we will not forget. We do not want to forget. We will use that vision to make sure that we fight harder, we fight tougher, and we fight more passionately than ever — not just for the people whom Donald Trump supports, but for all of America.”  “We can whimper, we can whine, or we can fight back. Me? I’m here to fight back,” Warren continued. “We come here to stand shoulder to shoulder to make clear: We are here, we will not be silent, we will not play dead, we will fight for what we believe in.”

Go for it.  Figuratively, stick it to the nazi and his henchmen.

"The Boston march was just one of dozens across the country and around the world Saturday to protest after the inauguration of President Donald Trump. What started with an event in the nation’s capital, the Women’s March on Washington, quickly grew to include other cities across the country and worldwide."

This needs to continue.

“We believe that sexism, racism, homophobia, and bigotry have no place in this country,” Warren said. “Black lives matter; diversity makes our country stronger. We believe that equal means equal and that’s true in the workplace, it’s true in marriage, it’s true every place.”

The Trump nazi, his henchmen, equally clueless sick sycophants are indeed in for quite a rude awakening.

Gloria Steinem figuratively stuck it to the Trump nazi in grand style.  The Washington Times reports:

"Gloria Steinem delivered a colorful and wide-ranging speech to kick off Saturday’s Women’s March on Washington, during which she expressed gratitude that former president Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are still alive, accused President Trump of being mentally ill and encouraged marchers to register as Muslims.  “Do not try to divide us,” Ms. Steinem warned the president. “If you force Muslims to register, we will all register as Muslims.”

If you don't stand up for the oppressed, guess who's next?

"Ms. Steinem said the president made grandiose promises during Friday’s inaugural address that he cannot possibly keep."

That's true.  Yet, his sick sycophants believe everything he says.  ... Right, TL?  Ben?

“Everything that happened before him was a disaster, and everything that he would do would be fantastic, the best ever, miracles and all the superlatives,” she said. “He also said he was with the people. Indeed, he was the people.”

Haughty, narcissistic fascist son of a bitch, isn't he?

“To paraphrase a famous quote, I just want to say: I have met the people, and you are not them,” she continued. “We are the people.”

Indeed.  Certainly, true.

"She accused the president of being mentally ill, citing a letter sent by three professors of psychiatry in November warning that Mr. Trump may suffer from a disorder.  “Some very experienced doctors of the American Psychiatric Association have publicly written to warn us that, ‘his widely reported symptoms of mental instability, including grandiosity, impulsivity, hypersensitivity to slights or criticisms, and an apparent inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality lead us to question his fitness for the immense responsibilities of office.’”

There is no question that is true.  So is the following from The Times:

"For its part, the American Psychiatrist Association frowns on diagnosing people with mental illness from afar, saying it is “unethical for a psychiatrist to offer a professional opinion unless he or she has conducted an examination and has been granted proper authorization for such a statement.”

Indeed, this is also true.  As well as in the psychological community.  Does not mean. however, a professional cannot have a political opinion, and express it.  Forget?  Trump is not a client of any of these professionals.  They were not diagnosing a client under their care.  First Amendment Freedom of Speech applies here since the Trump nazi is now in office and open to ferocious, but peaceful scrutiny.

Coup de grace?  Epitome of GOP boorishness?  Proof these goddamned misogynists still don't get it?  ABC News reports:

"A Nebraska state senator who had cybersex with a woman on a state computer is facing criticism again for a retweet suggesting that demonstrators at a women's march weren't attractive enough to be sexually assaulted."

Sounds like the Trump nazi, doesn't it?

"Republican state Sen. Bill Kintner of Papillion on Sunday retweeted a comment by conservative personality Larry Elder that mocked three women pictured with signs protesting Donald Trump's comments about touching women inappropriately. Above the photo, Elder wrote: "Ladies, I think you're safe."

Think the above hasn't fired up quite a controversy?

"His retweet drew fierce criticism on social media, and by mid-Monday morning, Kintner had deactivated his account. Before he did so, he responded to one Twitter critic with, "Right out of the liberal playbook, take a joke & claim victim-hood."

Can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.  The ignorance of this goddamned GOP nazi is bottomless.

"The blunt-spoken lawmaker paid a $1,000 fine last year for misuse of state property after he admitted to engaging in mutual masturbation in July 2015 with a woman using Skype, an online video-chatting service. Kintner reported the transgression to the Nebraska State Patrol after the woman threatened to expose the encounter unless he paid her $4,500."

This, what you GOP nazis here in Llano County want in government?  Is this the best the Republican Party has to offer?

"The ordeal drew calls for him to resign from top state officials, including Republican Gov. Pete Ricketts, but Kintner refused to bow to public pressure. He even faced threats of impeachment from fellow senators, although no lawmaker has taken steps to do so."

Why would they?  Forget?  Political expediency always trumps principle.  Always.  -- Pun intended.

"Despite Kintner's long history of inflammatory comments, his conservative allies have defended him amid concerns that they would lose one of their strongest voices in the officially nonpartisan Legislature."

Proof positive there is no honor among thieves.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

"Last year, the Nebraska Latino American Commission condemned Kintner for repeatedly using an ethnic slur during a debate over allowing driver's licenses for certain youths brought to the country illegally."

Nothing quite like racism, is there?  ... Right, TL?

"Some were bemused and others offended by his 2013 comment to a newspaper, which asked him what he considered the biggest mystery. Kintner responded, "Women. No one understands them. They don't even understand themselves. Books and books and books have been written about it, and no one understands it."

Could this fascist, misogynist son of a bitch be a clone of the Trump nazi?

Think there's any end to this Republican hypocritical bullshit?  Wake up.  ABC News reports:

"A South Dakota legislator who admitted having sexual contact with two interns resigned on Monday, saying he regretted his actions during the past two legislative sessions.  Republican Rep. Mathew Wollmann, 26, said last week that both interns were over age 21 and that the contact during the 2015 and 2016 legislative sessions was consensual. But his colleagues voted to set up a committee to investigate his actions, and they were scheduled to meet Tuesday."

1-27-17

Sounds like something the Trump nazi might support?  Certainly, would legalize murder if passed.  Get this.  Fox News recently reported:

"A lawmaker in North Dakota sponsored a bill that would reportedly protect drivers who inadvertently hit pedestrians blocking traffic.  The Star Tribune reported Monday that the legislation is a response to protests at Standing Rock Indian Reservation, and sponsored by state Rep. Keith Kempenich, R-Bowman.  “If you stay off the roadway, this would never be an issue,” he told the paper. “Those motorists are going about the lawful, legal exercise of their right to drive down the road….Those people didn’t ask to be in this.”

A raucous, boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Sieg Heil!, you fascist son of a bitch?

The Trump nazi was quickly sued for ethics violations soon after taking office.  CBS News reports:

"On his first Monday in office, a lawsuit was filed against President Donald Trump by the top ethics lawyers for the last two presidents, claiming Mr. Trump is already engaging in severe constitutional ethics violations. It is likely to be the first in a string of legal actions by liberal organizations seeking to do anything they can to combat the agenda of a fully Republican-controlled federal government, as the courts will be one of their few avenues of recourse.  The ethics lawyers, Norman Eisen, who advised Barack Obama, and Richard Painter, who worked under George W. Bush, are acting as part of the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW.)"

Figuratively, stick it to the nazi.  Hopefully, there will be far more litigation to follow.

NPR had the following take:

"A team of ethics experts and legal scholars filed a lawsuit in federal court this morning that says President Donald Trump's overseas businesses violate the Constitution's emoluments clause, which bars presidents from taking money from foreign governments.  The group says it is asking the court "to stop Trump from violating the Constitution by illegally receiving payments from foreign governments" with ties to Trump interests. The lawsuit states that: "These violations of the Foreign Emoluments Clause pose a grave threat to the United States and its citizens. As the Framers were aware, private financial interests can subtly sway even the most virtuous leaders, and entanglements between American officials and foreign powers could pose a creeping, insidious threat to the Republic."

"The lawsuit cites numerous examples of how Trump stands to make money by doing business with companies and other entities linked to foreign government."

While not criticizing the Trump nazi directly, the Pope has an interesting take on the rise of populism.  NBC News reports:

"Pope Francis has warned against growing populism in Europe, saying such movements could result in the election of leaders like Germany's Adolf Hitler."

You think?

"In times of crisis, we lack judgment, and that is a constant reference for me," the pontiff said in an in-depth interview with Spanish newspaper El Pais. "The most obvious example of European populism is Germany in 1933. After the crisis of 1930, Germany is broken, it needs to get up, to find its identity, a leader, someone capable of restoring its character, and there is a young man named Adolf Hitler."  "Hitler didn't steal the power, his people voted for him, and then he destroyed his people," the pope added."

While the Pope took pains to reserve judgment on the Trump nazi, his above quote is more than applicable right here, right now.  ... Certainly, as our country continues to nazify.

"Pope Francis' warnings come as a wave of populism washes over Europe, and as voters angry with traditional political elites throw their weight behind nationalist, anti-immigrant leaders.  During the same interview, the pope said he was reserving judgment on President Donald Trump.  "I don't like to get ahead of myself nor judge people prematurely. We will see how he acts, what he does, and then I will have an opinion," he said."

1-27-17

Once again, the Trump nazi lied.  Disgraced himself in a visit to the CIA.  NPR reports:

"On his first full day in the White House, President Trump went to the CIA presumably to try and offer an olive branch to members of the intelligence community he often maligned over their conclusions that Russia had conspired to influence the U.S. elections.  Instead, he falsely denied that he had ever criticized the agency, falsely inflated the crowd size at his inauguration on Friday, attacked the media and told intelligence officers gathered to, "Trust me. I'm like a smart person."

The above would indeed be laughable if the Trump nazi did not pose an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

NBC News had the following take:

"Donald Trump traveled to CIA headquarters Saturday to offer reassurance to the workforce after he spent weeks criticizing American intelligence, but his unscripted, self-referential remarks before a wall of stars memorializing fallen officers are drawing criticism, including a pointed denunciation from the agency's recently departed director."

As well it should have.

"Former CIA Director Brennan is deeply saddened and angered at Donald Trump's despicable display of self-aggrandizement in front of CIA's Memorial Wall of Agency heroes," Nick Shapiro, a former aide to John Brennan at CIA, told NBC News' Andrea Mitchell.  Brennan, Shapiro said, believes Trump "should be ashamed of himself."

A nazi has no shame.

1-27-17

Apparently, we can expect Trump's Press Secretary and his advisors to lie.  Not just distort reality, lie.  This story has been all over Internet news sites.  The most cogent take was from NBC.  NBC News reports:

"Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, said the White House press secretary gave "alternative facts" when he inaccurately described the inauguration crowd as "the largest ever" during his first appearance before the press this weekend."

Lies are now called "alternative facts" by the Trump White House.

"White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer gathered the press to deliver a five-minute statement Saturday in which he issued multiple falsehoods, declaring erroneously the number of people who used the D.C. metro on Friday, that there was a change in security measures this year and that "this was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period, both in person and around the globe."

All lies.

"These attempts to lessen the enthusiasm of the inauguration are shameful and wrong," Spicer said Saturday."

Apparently, this piece of shit was instructed to do this by the Trump nazi.

"However, crowd size experts told the New York Times they estimated Trump's audience at fewer than 200,000 people, and widely distributed side-by-side photographs showed the stark contrast between the comparatively sparse crowd for Trump's inauguration and the record-setting crowd for Obama's first."

Clearly, the Trump nazi and his henchmen will not be confused with the truth.

"Asked on "Meet the Press" why Spicer used his first appearance before the press to dispute a minimal issue like the inauguration crowd size, and why he used falsehoods to do so, Conway pushed back.  "You're saying it's a falsehood and Sean Spicer, our press secretary, gave alternative facts to that," she told NBC's Chuck Todd.  She then went on to echo Spicer's claim on Saturday that it wasn't possible to count the crowd, despite Trump's team's accompanying insistence that it was the "largest audience."

Nothing quite like hypocrisy, is there?  'Don't do as I do, do as I say.'  'Ignore the man behind the curtain.'

"I don't think you can prove those numbers one way or another. There's no way to quantify crowd numbers," Conway said.  Conway also suggested that Todd's insistence on asking why Spicer delivered a demonstrably false statement could affect the White House's treatment of the media.  "If we're going to keep referring to the press secretary in those types of terms I think we're going to have to rethink our relationship here," she said."

It is the job of the press to ask pointed questions.  Hold these bastards in government accountable.  The Trump nazi and his henchmen can't seem to understand this.

The Trump nazi couldn't care less about the environment.  Why would he?  Why should he?  It's the money, stupid.  NPR reports:

"President Trump on Tuesday gave the go-ahead for construction of two controversial oil pipelines, the Keystone XL and the Dakota Access."

Protest must be ferocious, but peaceful.  This action truly and ultimately benefits no one but the corporate management suite at expense of the environment.

Coup de grace?  Get this:

"In remarks to automakers on Tuesday morning, Trump proclaimed himself an environmentalist, but added, "It's out of control, and we're going to make a very short process, and we're going to either give you your permits or we're not going to give you your permits, but you're going to know very quickly."

The Trump nazi is a liar.  Certainly, no environmentalist.  Does not even accept as true the existence of global warming.  Due to greenhouse gases generated by fossil fuels.  Insanely believes the scientific community is lying.

Other than jobs temporarily generated by construction of the XL pipeline, the United States will not benefit from the Canadian project.

"The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, which protested the Dakota Access pipeline, said it will take legal action to fight Trump's decision, saying the pipeline "risks contaminating tribal and American water supplies while disregarding treaty rights."

Sadly, been the norm for generations.  Yet, is indeed good news the Sioux intend to sue the living shit out of the nazi bastard.  Trump is doing what's best for the corporate management suite, not consumers, not the environment.  This has become a zero-sum game, winner-take-all ruse.  The top 1% take it all, the peasants?  Expected to shut the f--k up.  Bend over, drop trou, take the ungreased shaft hard up the ass.  Without a whimper.

The Trump nazi has repeatedly conducted himself in a manner that severely questions his rationality, fitness for office.  While the following will never become law, it is highly indicative of the exponentially increasing lack of confidence, trust in the judgment of the 'President.'  The Washington Times reports:

"Saying they fear President Trump with his finger on the nuclear trigger, two congressional Democrats introduced legislation Tuesday that would prevent the White House from launching a nuclear first strike without a declaration of war from Capitol Hill."

This will never become law.

"Sen. Edward J. Markey and Rep. Ted W. Lieu said their bill was designed to put a check on Mr. Trump, who during the presidential campaign had sent mixed signals on his thoughts about nuclear proliferation and the possibility of a U.S. first strike."

This is not the way to rein in the Trump nazi.  There is a better way.  May certainly quickly come to pass as the 'President' seems unwilling to adhere to the Emoluments Clause in the United States Constitution.  Impeach, convict, and remove the fascist son of a bitch from office.  The alternative, Pence, however, poses an equal exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  The next in line, the Speaker of the House, is nearly as unfit as the 'Vice President.'

The Israeli aggressor wasted no time stomping its jackboot into the throats of the Palestinians after the Trump nazi took office.  The Washington Post reports:

"Israel approved the construction of 2,500 housing units in Jewish settlements in the West Bank on Tuesday, just two days after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with President Trump.  Netanyahu and members of his right-wing government have bristled at the harsh condemnations of settlement growth by the Obama administration, which condemned the Jewish communities as “illegitimate” and “an obstacle to peace.”

It's called the truth.  Something the Trump nazi, his henchmen, and the Israeli aggressor cannot seem to understand.

"Trump, however, has signaled more accommodating policies toward Israel and has called for moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, a city claimed as the capital of both Israel and a potential future Palestinian state. The Jewish settlements have grown to house more than 400,000 Jewish residents in the West Bank."

Should the Israeli capital be moved to Jerusalem, certainly guaranties war in the Middle East will continue indefinitely.  ... A war Israel will ultimately lose, --even with American military support.  As the entire region winds up in escalated conflict.

“We’re building — and will continue to build,” Netanyahu said following the announcement."

This, sadly, will result in ultimate destruction of the State of Israel.  ... Again, with or without American involvement.

"There was no initial reaction to the announcement by the Trump White House or the State Department."

Interesting, isn't it?  What's the Trump nazi waiting for?  The shit to hit the fan?

At time of writing, no reaction from Trump, his henchmen to the following from Fox News:

"Officials said Monday that the Obama administration-- in its waning hours-- defied Republican opposition and quietly released $221 million to the Palestinian Authority that GOP members of Congress had been blocking.  A State Department official and several congressional aides told The Associated Press that the outgoing administration formally notified Congress it would spend the money Friday morning.  The official said former Secretary of State John Kerry had informed some lawmakers of the move shortly before he left the State Department for the last time Thursday.
The aides said written notification dated Jan. 20 was sent to Congress just hours before Donald Trump took the oath of office."

Fascinating, isn't it?  Must have infuriated the nazi and his henchmen.

"In addition to the $221 million for the Palestinians, the Obama administration also told Congress on Friday it was going ahead with the release of another $6 million in foreign affairs spending, including $4 million for climate change programs and $1.25 million for U.N. organizations, the congressional aides said."

The Trump nazi has begun the assault on abortion rights both here and abroad.  NBC News reports:

"With the stroke of a pen, President Donald Trump reinstated a controversial rule that blocks foreign aid for family planning services."

Once again the Trump nazi has clearly demonstrated his profound ignorance and that of the Republican Party.  These fascist pieces of shit continue to drag their knuckles, give Neanderthals a bad name.

"Known as the "Mexico City policy" or the "Global Gag Rule," the policy bars foreign aid or federal funding for international programs that provide abortions — or even information about the procedure."

The Nazi Right wishes not only to impose their perverse ideological and religious views on the American public, but foreigners as well.

"Under the rule, USAID would be unable to provide funds to non-governmental organizations that provide referrals or counseling for abortion services, or advocate for the same. NGOs that provide abortions — except in the case of rape, incest or life endangerment — would also be ineligible for aid."

This is no more than Evangelical Nazism.  Achingly, un-American.  If there is no reproductive freedom, there is no freedom at all.  A Republican nazi ignorantly believes reproductive freedom is men keeping it in their pants, flies up.  Women keeping their panties on and legs crossed.

"Pro-choice groups see the law's return as a step backwards after years of progress. Serra Sippel, president of the Center for Health and Gender Equality, said that in addition to reducing women's access to contraceptives and safe abortions, the measure could hamper HIV prevention efforts abroad and force health clinics in developing countries to close their doors."

... And then these GOP nazis claim to believe in freedom?  Give me a goddamned break. The hypocrisy reeks.

In another article, NBC News reports:

"The sweeping new anti-abortion policy signed by President Donald Trump Monday may have the opposite effect to what's intended, leading to many more abortions, aid groups say. It could also mean more young women will die in childbirth, and years of progress in fighting HIV will be lost, they said."

All to force perverse GOP national socialist ideological and religious views on all in the universe.  Haughty, isn't it?  Aryan arrogant, as well.

"The enactment of the Global Gag Rule will cut off much-needed U.S. funds to international providers of family planning," said Serena Jiwani of the United Nations Foundation.  "When the policy was last enacted under President Bush, health care clinics in many countries were forced to close and outreach services for the hardest to reach populations were eliminated, leaving many of the world's poorest people without access to critical services, such as maternal and child health care, HIV testing and counseling, and contraceptives, including condoms."

Eminently 'Christian' of the Trump nazi, his henchmen, and sick sycophants in the Republican Party, isn't it?

Bottom line?

"Trump's Global Gag Rule will only lead to increases in unintended pregnancies, unsafe abortions, maternal and newborn deaths. This harmful policy undermines American democratic values of free-speech and imposes an anti-woman agenda," said Nancy Northup, president and CEO of the Center for Reproductive Rights."

Republican fascists have no shame.  Too damned aggressively stupid.

Think the Trump nazi and his henchmen are sympathetic to the LGBT community?  CBS News reports:

"During Barack Obama’s presidency, if you typed whitehouse.gov/lgbt into your browser, you reached a page highlighting the administration’s victories and policy changes regarding LGBT rights. It outlined historic court victories and even featured campaigns like the It Gets Better Project to help LGBT youth.  Today, however -- just hours after President Donald J. Trump took the oath of office as the United States’ 45th president -- if you type in whitehouse.gov/lgbt, you are redirected to a new “transitionsplash” page.  The new page simply invites people to “sign up for updates from President Donald J. Trump.” It makes no mention of LGBT rights. In fact, it appears the White House’s LGBT rights feed has disappeared completely."

A portend of what's to come under the Trump nazi and his henchmen.  Think this piece of shit and his homophobic 'Vice President' won't take a hard dump on advances made by the LGBT community?  Certainly, Trump and Pence appear to be following in the footsteps of Hitler and The Third Reich vis a vis homophobic bigotry:

"Vice President Mike Pence is, of course, a highly controversial figure among the LGBT community. He publicly opposed the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell. He famously voted against The Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would have prohibited discrimination against LGBT people in the workplace. And he spoke out against gay marriage; arguing in a 2006 speech that “societal collapse was always brought about following an advent of the deterioration of marriage and family.”

History yet again repeating itself under our first national socialist, fascist 'President' and his henchmen.

"The question now becomes whether or not the absence of an official White House LGBT rights page is temporary or permanent."

The mark of a nazi.

NBC News reports:

"More than a dozen diverse LGBTQ high school students from across the country sent Donald Trump a defiant message shortly before his Inauguration as the 45th president of the United States.  In a YouTube video titled "Dear Mr. President: LGBTQ Students Will Not Stop Now," which was posted by student advocacy group GLSEN, the high schoolers pleaded with Trump to be a "president for all" and advocate "equality" and "kindness."

That's not possible for a national socialist.  Certainly, wasn't true for Hitler and Mussolini.

"We noticed that you like to use name-calling when people speak out against you, but just know that we are listening and watching as you take that oath today, to protect the Constitution, the one that says all people are equal, and that includes us," the students, all members of GLSEN's National Student Council, said in the montage video."

Sadly, not how a fascist 'thinks.'

"Before you call me any names," they continued, "let me tell you the names I want to be called: bold, resilient, strong, brave, truth-teller, go-getter, writer, dog lover and musician."

These kids certainly put the Trump nazi to shame.  Certainly, run circles around him.
