While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception. On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe. She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop. She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office. Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it. Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this? Think this hasn't happened to others?

Think the young can't, don't, won't magnificently rise to the occasion? CBS News reports:

"The first day of school can be nerve-wracking for most kids, so an 8-year-old boy from Wichita, Kansas did what he could to make it easier for a fellow student. Courtney Moore took several photos of her son, Christian, on the first day of school at Minneha Core Knowledge Elementary. One of photos is getting more attention than others — it shows Christian holding his classmate's hand as the other boy cries. "I'm so proud of my son," Moore wrote on Facebook, sharing the sweet photo. "[He saw] a kid balled up into a corner crying, so he went to console him, grabbed his hand and walked him inside of the school! It is an honor to raise such a loving, compassionate child! He's a kid with a Big heart, the first day of school started off right."

Your son is raised in a household that clearly embraces, shares, treasures compassion.

"Moore's post was shared nearly 4,000 times. It also got the attention of someone important: April Crites, the mother of the other boy in the photo, who Christian consoled. "Tell your son I said thank you so very much! That little boy he helped is my son and is autistic," Crites commented on Moore's post, according to KWCH-TV. "I worry everyday that he is going to get bullied for being different and your son just absolutely warmed my heart. If there were more children like him I wouldn't worry about such things."

"Moore was touched by the other mom's response. She shared that Christian struggles with speech and both boys are unique in their own way, KWCH-TV reports. "I hope that this will be the beginning of a new friendship for both of our sons. Your son was so sweet," she wrote. CBS News has reached out to both moms for comment. The Wichita Public School district also shared the story, which is inspiring countless people to be compassionate and kind toward others."

"For nurses Kristin Sollars and Marci Ebberts, work is more than just a job. "Don't you feel like you're a nurse everywhere you go?" Sollars, 41, asked Ebberts, 46, on a visit to StoryCorps in May. "I mean, let's be honest, every time we get on a plane you're like, E6 didn't look good to me. Keep an eye out there." Sollars and Ebberts have grown so close while working together that they've come to call themselves "work wives." They first met in 2007, working side by side in the intensive care unit at Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Now they work closely as nurse educators at the hospital training other nurses in critical care. "Between us, we've taken care of thousands of critically ill patients," Ebberts said. "You carry a little bit of them with you. And they shape you." Sollars and Ebberts reflect on how their work influences their memories. "When I think about that patient, that is the most seared in my brain, I know exactly what bed but I cannot tell you the patient's name," Sollars said. She goes on to remember a particularly unforgettable case: "I always think about CCU (Coronary Care Unit) Bed 2."

"The patient had a cardiac arrest. "We code him, and we get that heart rate back," she said, describing their resuscitation efforts that stabilized the patient. "And that was just the first of a dozen times that he coded," Ebberts remembered. All the while, his wife was by his side. "We were giving her the bad prognosis. Things were looking really bad, and she said, 'Can I be in bed with him?' " Sollars said. But the nurses saw that as a risk. "This man's got everything we've got in the hospital attached to him," Sollars recalled. "So many wires and tubes and monitors," Ebberts added. Still, they proceeded carefully, slowly lifting everything so she could wiggle in next to him. "I can just remember her sobbing, saying, you know, I wasn't a good enough wife. I should have loved you better," Sollars said. When the patient again suffered an irregular, life-threatening heart rhythm called ventricular fibrillation, Sollars and Ebberts started another round of chest compressions. But this time, the patient's wife asked the nurses to stop trying to resuscitate him. "We're gonna let him go next time he does that," Ebberts remembers his wife saying. As difficult as they can be to witness, Sollars says the rewarding part as a nurse is caring for patients and their families during these crucial life moments. "To be with people and to create those environments where they get to say their unfinished business to their husband — it's such a gift of a job," Sollars said. "Sometimes I wonder why everyone in the world doesn't want to be a nurse."

"Sollars says nursing levels her sense of what's important. "It does impact the way we see the entire world. That person in front of us in the grocery store is all worked up about how that guy bagged their groceries," she said. "Nobody's dying," Ebberts said, "until someone is. And then we're ready."

"My life as I knew it is destroyed," wrote a brokenhearted Tampa Bay Rays pitching prospect whose wife, son and mother-in-law were murdered this week in Virginia. Blake Bivens detailed his grief Thursday in an Instagram post shared by the Double A team he plays for, the Montgomery Biscuits. It appears to be the first time the 24-year-old baseball player has spoken out about the tragedy in Pittsylvania County. "Two days ago my heart was turned to ash," he wrote.

"Bivens' brother-in-law, Matthew Bernard, 19, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder. He is accused of killing his mother, Joan Bernard, 62; his sister Emily Bernard Bivens, 25; and her child, Cullen Bivens, 14 months old. The sheriff said Wednesday a motive was unknown. "The pain my family and I feel is unbearable and cannot be put into words. I shake and tremble at the thought of our future without them," Blake Bivens said in the statement. He called his wife, Emily, "my sweetheart" and wrote "you are the best wife and mother this world has ever seen." "You made me into the man I am today and you loved me with all of my flaws. You brought our precious baby boy into this world and made our family complete. Your love and kindness changed countless lives, including mine," Bivens wrote. Bivens said his son "changed my life forever" and "you are my reason why." "My sweet little boy, dada loves you so much! I can't breathe without you here. I finally understood what love was when you were born and I would have done anything for you," Bivens said. The pitcher also said Joan Bernard was "the best mother-in-law anyone could ask for.” “You loved your family more than anyone I've ever seen," he wrote.

"The Montgomery Biscuits and Tampa Bay Rays have expressed their condolences and vowed to support Bivens in any way they can. The Biscuits said Thursday that a game scheduled for Saturday would be played as part of a double-header on Friday to give team personnel a chance to attend the funeral. The Bivens and Bernard families said in a statement released by the minor league team earlier Thursday that they appreciate the tremendous support they have received from family, neighbors, the community and beyond. In Thursday's statement, Bivens thanked his family and friends who have reached out in "this time of sorrow" and thanked both teams for their support. "I am comforted by all the messages and well wishes," Bivens wrote. "I'm not sure what is next for me, but I do know God has a plan even though I can’t see it."

"Sheriff’s deputies in North Lake Tahoe had to get creative as they devised a plan to free a bear cub trapped in a dumpster."

"They filmed the entire rescue and had to work cautiously as the mother bear was watching closely with siblings nearby. The sound of a crying bear had neighbors distressed. “It’s kind of disconcerting it almost sounds like a child crying,” Sgt. Don Nevins with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said. “And that’s how the call first came in, we got a 911 call and somebody was reporting a disturbance behind a motel in Kings Beach.”

"Sgt. Nevins responded with deputies Bryant and Staley, discovering the bear cub trapped in the dumpster behind the Crown Motel. But the deputies quickly discovered they had a bigger problem. “Mom was circling the dumpster and you don’t really want to get between the mother bear and her cub,” Nevins said. As the cub whined in distress, deputies used the lights and sirens on the SUV to scare the mother bear and a sibling to a distance. They then used an oar to prop the dumpster open and dropped a step ladder inside. As they backed away, the bear cub made good on his escape."

“Figured if we put the step ladder in the dumpster the cub would make his own way out which he did he really wanted out of there,” Nevins said. The video has been a hit on the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page, and they’ve been inundated with positive attention. Sgt. Nevins says its a good thing. “We need to have a bear as a mascot at the Sheriff’s Office because people really love bears,” Nevins said."

"Management at the Crown Motel said wildlife comes with the territory in Tahoe. “I’ve dealt with raccoons before and getting them out of the dumpster, but when I heard about the bear thing I was like ‘Thank God I’m not a sheriff in Lake Tahoe,’” motel manager Katerina Jarrett Jaensch said. It was Katerina’s son Jeremiah who forgot to lock the dumpster Tuesday night. “I’ll never forget to do it again,” Jeremiah said."

"The bears didn’t go far and spent the entire night up a nearby tree, finally leaving by walking down to the beach and swimming down the lake in front of startled locals.

"Photos of the young enlistee in his Navy whites and copies of his military paperwork are the few remaining testimonies that Herman Augusta White lived. The 97-year-old World War II veteran died on August 11 in Perry, Oklahoma. White was due all of the full military honors bestowed on veterans upon their death. There was just one problem: The decedent had no surviving kin to make the arrangements. White’s wife and son preceded him in death and he had no other known relatives. It looked like his remains would end up in a Potter’s field, with no one to remember him or his service to the nation."

Hard to believe this could possibly happen to a veteran. That there is, apparently, no fail-safe system in the Defense Department to prevent this from happening.

"That’s when Rebecca Raines stepped up. Raines is the funeral director of the Brown-Duggar funeral home in Perry. When she learned that White had no family to arrange his funeral service, she took action. “I found out he only had friends and no immediate family,” said Raines after the funeral home picked up White’s remains from an area hospital. Along with his body, Raines was also given the veteran’s military paperwork, including his DD Form 214 discharge papers. Through his military history, Raines discovered how much being in the Navy meant to White. He had achieved the rank of Seaman Second Class V-6 USNR-SV. He received the Victory Medal as well as the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal. She also found out that he had purchased a burial plot next to his wife and son, but there was no family or funds to bury him there. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road. To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property. All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764. The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two years ago. The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question. How much were they bribed?

"A Nevada woman who spent 35 years in prison for a murder she didn't commit before she was exonerated by DNA evidence on a crime-scene cigarette butt will get $3 million in a partial settlement of a federal civil rights lawsuit, her lawyer said Wednesday."

"Cathy Woods, 68, will continue to seek additional damages from the city of Reno and former detectives she accuses of coercing a fabricated confession from her while she was a patient at a Louisiana mental hospital in 1979, according to her lawyer, Elizabeth Wang. Woods was released from prison in 2015 when new evidence linked the 1976 killing of a Reno college student to an Oregon inmate, Rodney Halbower, who has since has been convicted of two San Francisco Bay Area slayings that happened during the same period."

"Woods, who now lives with relatives near the city of Anacortes, Washington, was the longest-ever wrongfully incarcerated woman in U.S. history, according to the National Registry of Exonerations. "Although no amount of money will compensate Ms. Woods for what she endured, this will go at least some way toward providing care for her," Wang said. Woods was extremely psychotic and never should have been interrogated by detectives investigating the 1976 killing of 19-year-old Michelle Mitchell, Wang said. The Washoe County Commission voted 4-0 on Tuesday to pay $3 million to settle a portion of the federal lawsuit that had named former county District Attorney Cal Dunlap as a defendant. Wang said she will ask a federal judge to drop him as a defendant after the partial settlement is finalized."

"A separate lawsuit filed against the state earlier this month also will continue, Wang said, under a new Nevada law that went into effect this year allowing those wrongfully convicted to seek up to $3.5 million in civil damages. The federal lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary damages. Woods' initial conviction in 1980 was overturned by Nevada's Supreme Court. She was convicted again in 1984, and the high court upheld that conviction in 1988."

"A judge vacated it for good in 2014 after DNA technology not previously available linked evidence to Halbower. Detectives in Reno and Northern California subsequently identified him as the "Gypsy Hills Killer," named for an area in the San Francisco Bay Area city of Pacifica where one body was found. Authorities believe Halbower raped and killed six women and girls — including Mitchell in Reno in 1976. But he only was charged with two killings and last year was sentenced to life in prison for the killings of 17-year-old Paula Baxter and 18-year-old Veronica Cascio. The county said in a statement it remains confident there was no wrongdoing by any county employees but that the settlement brings an end to costly litigation. "The conviction and subsequent incarceration of Woods for murder is a tragic situation that Washoe County hopes is never repeated," the county said. "While money can rarely compensate an individual for loss of freedom, Washoe County sincerely hopes that this monetary settlement will be utilized for the best possible care of Woods."

"Woods' federal lawsuit filed in 2016 says she was a poorly educated woman with severe mental illness who was "intentionally framed" by authorities. She later moved to Louisiana, and her mother committed her to the psychiatric hospital where Woods told a counselor about "a girl named Michelle being murdered in Reno." Washoe County public defender Maizie Pusich told The Associated Press in 2014 Woods didn't remember confessing while at the hospital. "I'm told it was a product of wanting to get a private room," Pusich said. "She was being told she wasn't sufficiently dangerous to qualify, and within a short period she was claiming she had killed a woman in Reno."

In resolutions finalized Wednesday and obtained by NBC News, the Police Benevolent Association called for the immediate resignation of O’Neill. The union rebuked the commissioner for his decision earlier this month to fire Daniel Pantaleo, the officer who was seen on video using a chokehold during Eric Garner’s deadly arrest five years ago. The encounter sparked mass protests and become a rallying cry for the Black Lives Matter movement. In firing Pantaleo, O’Neill “deprived a dedicated and accomplished police officer of his livelihood,” the PBA said in the resolution. The group also claimed that O’Neill has failed to adequately address the working conditions of police officers, including quality-of-life issues and mental health support."

"Two former New York detectives will serve no prison time after pleading guilty to bribe taking and official misconduct for having sex in a police van with a young woman they arrested and released, prosecutors said Thursday. Prosecutors had requested that Eddie Martins, 39, and Richard Hall, 34, receive sentences ranging from one to three years in prison, Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said in a statement. But State Supreme Court Justice Danny Chun indicated each defendant will be sentenced in October to five years probation, according to Gonzalez. The plea agreement was offered by the court -- without prosecutors' consent -- because the defendants pleaded guilty to the entire indictment, the district attorney said. In court, the judge said he agreed to probation because prosecutors had demonstrated that violent felony counts against the defendants -- including rape charges that were eventually dismissed -- couldn't be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. "The credibility of the victim, or the complainant, in this case was seriously, seriously questionable, at best," said Chun, according to a court transcript obtained by CNN. While scientific evidence in the case was "very compelling," Chun said there was a possibility of a jury convicting only on the misdemeanor charges. "A white Mississippi woman who brandished a handgun at an African American couple while telling them to leave a campground has been convicted of a misdemeanor and fined $250. Local news outlets report 70-year-old Ruby Nell Howell of Starkville was found guilty Tuesday in Oktibbeha (awk-TIB'-ih-hah) County Justice Court of threatening exhibition of a weapon. She was also ordered to pay $182.50 in court fees. Howell will not be jailed."

Why not? Had it been the other way around, think a black couple wouldn't have likely been shot and killed by law enforcement? A double standard.

Sobbing, the retired Air Force master sergeant said he asked whether he would be suffering this much if the cancer had been caught before he was at stage 4, with tumors spread to both sides of his face. The treatment would have been the same, doctors told him, stopping short of answering his question directly. U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman said Reardon has now been charged with one count of making threats as authorities continue their investigation into Reardon and whether he may have any accomplices. But as the Trump administration continues to face criticism over its response to the rising threat of violent white nationalism, Herdman used the occasion to turn his attention to address white supremacists directly."

"I am talking directly to you," Herdman said at a news conference announcing the charges. "The Constitution protects your right to speak, your right to think, and your right to believe. If you want to waste the blessings of liberty by going down a path of hatred and failed ideologies, that is your choice." Herdman continued, evoking the sacrifices made by U.S. service members in World War II against Nazism, as well as those who marched for civil rights throughout U.S. history. "Thousands and thousands of young Americans already voted with their lives to ensure that this same message of intolerance, death, and destruction would not prevail - you can count their ballots by visiting any American cemetery in North Africa, Italy, France, or Belgium and tallying the white headstones," Herdman said. "You can also recite the many names of civil rights advocates who bled and died in opposing supporters of those same ideologies of hatred. Their voices may be distant, but they can still be heard."

"The Constitution may give you a voice, but it doesn’t guarantee you a receptive audience," Herdman added.

In follow up to an earlier edition, an incredibly courageous prosecutor stands tall. CBS News reports:

"Chester Hollman spent 27 years and 11 months in prison; Terrance Lewis spent 21 years, five months, five days; and Johnny Berry spent approximately 24 years in prison. They have always maintained their innocence. Together they spent nearly 74 years in prison for crimes they said they did not commit. In some cases, prosecutors or police knew the entire time that they were innocent and did nothing. And, now, the court system agrees, overturning their convictions for second-degree murder, robbery and conspiracy. Correspondent Jericka Duncan talked to the three men, all of whom, now in their 40s, have been exonerated."

"Philadelphia's district attorney, Larry Krasner, wants to correct those wrongs. "The oath is to seek justice," Krasner said. "When somebody sits in a jail cell for a crime they did not commit, that is an injustice." The former public defender assumed the top prosecutor job in 2018. One of his first missions was to beef up the Conviction Integrity Unit to investigate legitimate claims of wrongful convictions. "There was a culture at various times of win at all cost," said Krasner. "And if that meant that you were gonna take the document that suggested there was a different suspect, a document that the Constitution requires you, as a prosecutor, to turn over to the defense, and you were gonna shred it, you did. And then there was a separate issue with certain detectives, and everybody who was in the system knew about it." In his first week in office, he fired 31 employees. "I did not enjoy it, but it was necessary to do," he said. "Especially as I see these exonerations happen, and guess whose names just keep coming up for having been involved in convictions of innocent people?" "The people you let go?" asked Duncan. "Yep. That story will be developing. Stay tuned." In just 19 months, nine people have been exonerated."

The principle of justice deeply embedded in the United States Constitution demands only the guilty be held accountable. The innocent, exonerated.

"Duncan asked, "What do you say about those ex-prosecutors who still believe that the people who've been exonerated are guilty?" "I don't think this is the realm of belief; I think we should be working with facts. The system will always make mistakes, but the kind of prosecutor who is willing to do these things that are illegal and unconstitutional in order to have a win is the kind of prosecutor who's going to say to you, 'I still believe they're guilty,' because they're covering their own tracks."

"The straight shooter also said he's determined not to waste court time, jail space or tax dollars on prosecuting low-level offenses, like marijuana possession or petty theft. But when it comes to those issues, Krasner's critics said he's releasing criminals that are likely to commit another crime. Duncan asked, "For judges who think or have said you've gone rogue and that you're a group of renegades, how do you respond to that?" "Well, first of all, I have huge respect for the judiciary," Krasner said. "There's a small portion among them who I think take this personally when we say what we say – and we're very direct about it — that these policies and the people who were in the D.A.'s office caused mass incarceration." As for the Conviction Integrity Unit, it's reviewed about 200 cases since Krasner took office. "Conviction integrity is a particularly sticky situation because you are looking back on things that happened in the past," Krasner said. "And sometimes you're asking the same judge, who has already said no to overturning this conviction, to turn it over now based upon additional information."

"Krasner told CBS News the Conviction Integrity Unit actually rejects most of the cases it investigates. So far, it's overturned convictions in about 4% of the cases it's looked into."

"An Alabama man who has spent almost 36 years in prison after stealing $50 was released Friday under new sentencing guidelines that reset the state's three-strikes law. Alvin Kennard, 58, had been serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole. But his sentence was changed to time served by Judge David Carpenter in Jefferson County on Wednesday. The state's Department of Corrections had to process Kennard out of the system, which is why he wasn't immediately released after the ruling. He was released from the William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility, just outside of Bessemer, Alabama on Friday, the Alabama Department of Corrections said in a statement."

Punishment seldom seems to fit the crime. Shouldn't it? Big difference from a criminal stealing fifty bucks from a small business, -- and a big bank such as Wells Fargo looting consumers millions. Yet, who the hell at Wells Fargo has done any prison time?

"Kennard was convicted of robbing a bakery Jan. 24, 1983, in a felony that netted him $50.75, the Birmingham News reported, citing court records. That bakery crime came after Kennard had previously broken into a vacant service station, leading him to plead guilty to three felony counts of burglary and larceny in 1979. Due to that previous conviction, he was sentenced to life behind bars under the three-strikes provision of Alabama's Habitual Felony Offender Act."

Yet, Wells Fargo repeatedly looted customers, got called on it, but not one banker got locked up. Not one. Anything wrong with this picture? Anything at all?

"But in 2013, the Alabama Sentencing Commission adopted new guidelines which, if they had been in place when Kennard robbed the bakery, would have made his previous crime not serious enough to trigger a life sentence without parole, defense lawyers said. Had these new standards been in place then, Kennard couldn't have been imprisoned for any more than 20 years, his attorney Carla Crowder said. He could have been eligible for parole after 10 years. Kennard told the judge Wednesday that he is still remorseful for his crimes. I’m sorry for what I did," Kennard, dressed in orange-and-white jail garb, said. "I was wrong."

"The district attorney's office did not oppose the change in his sentence. Prosecutor Lane Tolbert said, however, that his office did not err in applying the law. “But let me be clear, this is not about $50," Tolbert said."

"Google and its YouTube subsidiary will pay $170 million to settle allegations that YouTube collected personal information from children without their parents' consent, the Federal Trade Commission said Wednesday."

"The companies allegedly collected information of children viewing videos on YouTube by tracking users of channels that are directed at kids. YouTube allegedly failed to notify parents or get their consent, violating laws that protect children's privacy, according to a complaint filed against the companies by the FTC and the New York attorney general. "YouTube touted its popularity with children to prospective corporate clients," FTC Chairman Joe Simons said in a statement. "Yet when it came to complying with (the children privacy law), the company refused to acknowledge that portions of its platform were clearly directed to kids. There's no excuse for YouTube's violations of the law." According to the complaint, YouTube marketed itself as a top destination for kids in presentations to the makers of popular children's products and brands. For example, Google and YouTube told Mattel, maker of Barbie and Monster High toys, that "YouTube is today's leader in reaching children age 6-11 against top TV channels" and told Hasbro, which makes My Little Pony and Play-Doh, that YouTube is the "#1 website regularly visited by kids." The FTC voted 3-2 to authorize the complaint and the final order in the case. In his dissent, FTC Commissioner Rohit Chopra said Google "baited children using nursery rhymes, cartoons, and other kid-directed content on curated YouTube channels to feed its massively profitable behavioral advertising business." He noted that the "terms of the settlement were not even significant enough to make Google issue a warning to its investors." Chopra said he fears "the Commission brings down the hammer on small firms, while allowing large firms to get off easier." The complaint said the companies' practices violated the Children's Online Privacy Protection Rule, known as COPPA, under a 1998 law. Under the settlement, Google and YouTube will pay $136 million to the FTC and $34 million to the state of New York."

That wall of obstruction is now gradually being breached, and none too soon. A law enacted this year in New York has unleashed a flood of lawsuits, many against the church and its institutions, as well as individual abusers, by survivors hoping for a measure of justice — and recognition — for traumas they suffered years or decades ago. On the day the Child Victims Act went into force, in mid-August, hundreds of suits were filed; hundreds or perhaps thousands more are expected in coming months."

"The state’s former statute of limitations imposed draconian limits on civil lawsuits, which childhood victims were required to file before the age of 23. Now, for a one-year window, survivors of any age will be allowed to file civil lawsuits; after that, they will have until age 55."

"President Trump was not happy with Fox News on Wednesday, tweeting "Fox isn't working for us anymore" while "America's Newsroom" aired on the network. But, even more to the point, he publicly and unabashedly tells his supporters that he expects and demands it."

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, which processes citizenship applications, said it rescinded a policy that had allowed some members of the military and government employees to easily transmit citizenship to children born overseas, because it conflicted with other policies and federal law."

"The children of some U.S. military members and government workers overseas will have a harder time getting citizenship under a Trump administration policy announced Wednesday. The changes will affect a relatively small number of people. But the announcement touched off widespread confusion and outrage — with immigrant and veterans' advocates questioning why the administration would change the rules for people who are serving their country. The administration scrambled to clarify that the vast majority of children born to U.S. citizens while they are are serving or working abroad will still get citizenship automatically. For certain other groups, under the new policy, there will be a more complicated application process. Ed Markey, D-Mass., said in a conference call with reporters Thursday. Among those facing deportation is Jonathan Sanchez, 16, who has cystic fibrosis. His mother, Mariela Sanchez, told NBC 10 in Boston that her family arrived in the United States in 2016 and she had recently applied for the medical exemption. After losing a daughter to the hereditary and incurable disease because doctors in Honduras did not diagnose it, she knows what would have happened to her son if he was not getting the care in the U.S. “He would be dead,” she told the station. “This administration is now deporting kids with cancer. Perhaps that is why it was too ashamed to announce this policy change publicly," said Markey, who has been trying to draw national attention to the issue since it was first reported in Boston by WBUR-FM, a public radio station."

"In Miami, attorney Milena Portillo told The Miami Herald that families who have applied for the medical deferments include a girl with an eye malignancy, a girl with cerebral palsy and the father of three children — who are American citizens — who has a terminal liver illness. “We as a country, we are losing our humanitarian side,” Portillo told the Herald. “We’re not reviewing case by case, but we’re just giving a blanket ‘no’ to everyone.” Rep. Ayana Pressley, D-Mass., cited in the Thursday call the case of Samuel, a five-year-old boy from Brazil. She said he is unable to eat solid food and without care at Boston Children’s Hospital will not be able to receive the nutrients he needs to live. "With this decision, again this administration has hit a new low," Pressley said. "To be fighting for your life, imagine on top of that facing deportation."

"As the administration of President Donald Trump gears up to hold more migrants in detention facilities for longer periods of times, health care and medical professionals are raising concerns and proposing changes to the way federal agencies provide medical treatment to immigrant detainees, Dr. Paul Spiegel, director of the Center for Humanitarian Health at Johns Hopkins, argued in a commentary piece published Friday in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) that the way in which the government provides health care services to migrants who have been detained goes against the oath physicians take to make patients’ well-being their top priority. “The mission of DHS is security, but oftentimes health decisions are not made by physicians,” Spiegel told NBC News. "What can be done when the standards of health care are not being met?”

The answer to that question is strikingly simple. Refuse to abrogate the oath you took. No matter the personal consequences.

"Spiegel’s concerns started brewing after seeing job postings from the Department of Homeland Security, and the immigration agencies it oversees, seeking physicians who were willing to provide care at their detention centers. He recalled that the job descriptions required physicians to “follow the spirit of the organization,” making him wonder why "doctors were not being asked to put patients first."

The above presupposes the rule of law, adherence to the United States Constitution. Both, now, in serious jeopardy, having been abrogated by out of control nazi government. All you can do as medical personnel is refuse to participate no matter the personal cost.

"We’re proposing to not put health care providers in a position where they won’t be able to speak out," Spiegel said. “This is a difficult ethics dilemma. That’s why we ask agencies to not put physicians in these situations.”

"CBP told NBC News in a statement that it doesn't routinely administer vaccines against infectious diseases such as the flu, chickenpox and measles, "due to the short-term nature of CBP holding and the complexities of operating vaccination programs" — even though the agency "counts approximately 200 medical personnel engaged along the southwest border." Spiegel said that "what they’re saying doesn’t make sense from a public health point of view because even if a child is there for 72 hours, it's better to vaccinate them sooner rather than later. And with 200 health care providers, they should be able to do so with no problem."

"President Trump suggested Friday that he and his supporters should be “given our stolen time back” in light of a Justice Department report that found former FBI director James B. Comey violated FBI policies regarding memos that helped spark the special counsel investigation."

First, if there was any substance to the 'Justice' Department report, Comey would have been prosecuted. Not given a free pass. For that alone, the report has no credibility.

"It was not immediately clear what Trump meant, but in May he shared a tweet by a supporter that said he should have two years added to his term as compensation for having endured the investigation of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III into possible coordination between Trump’s campaign and Russia."

Second, readers are reminded the report listed ten examples of obstruction of justice. Trump was not prosecuted because of a 'Justice' Department ruling a sitting president cannot be indicted, that is, not held criminally accountable for his crimes. No more complicated than that.

“The disastrous IG Report on James B. Comey shows, in the strongest of terms, how unfairly I, and tens of millions of great people who support me, were treated,” Trump said in a tweet, referring to the Justice Department’s inspector general. “Our rights and liberties were illegally stripped away by this dishonest fool. "The report released Thursday by the Justice Department’s internal watchdog said Comey violated FBI policies in how he handled memos that detailed his early interactions with Trump. The report said Comey kept the government documents at his home, engineered the release of some of their contents to the news media and did not tell the bureau which person or people he had given them to."

The 'Justice' Department offered no proof of the above. None. Also, conveniently announced it would not be prosecuting Comey. Sounds like Barr and his henchmen may be desperately attempting to ingratiate themselves with their fuhrer, the Trump nazi. Had they truly anything of substance criminally, think they wouldn't have desperately tried to hold him criminally accountable? None of this makes any sense. No credibility. The mark of a dictator desperately trying to reverse precipitously dropping poll numbers.

"People of color and other marginalized communities have long been targeted under domestic terrorism authorities for unfair and discriminatory surveillance, investigations, and prosecutions," the civil rights group said in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerrold Nadler, a Democrat, and Rep. Doug Collins, the ranking Republican member. Rep. Adam Schiff, a California Democrat, introduced the bill on Aug. 16 amid a growing number of mass shootings in America. Patrick Boland, Schiff's spokesman, said late Tuesday there are reasonable and valid concerns about such statutes potentially being abused, but that the responsible solution is not to refuse to take vital legislative action. "In the wake of El Paso and other horrific attacks, it is imperative that prosecutors and investigators be given the tools necessary to combat violent domestic terrorism — particularly white nationalist terrorism — vigorously, and on equal terms with its international counterpart," Boland said. "Recent mass shootings have added momentum to a debate about whether such attacks should be classified and tried in the same way as crimes against America by foreign extremist groups and their supporters. Democrats remain hell-bent on doing something, anything to reduce the carnage of mass murders. Whether that's taking a raucous hard dump on the Second Amendment, and/or other precious rights guarantied by the Bill of Rights. No way will Democrats ever successfully disarm the American public. The exact same messaging, other than IP addresses, is the same on the wink
and t15 FTP servers. This hacking attack apparently occurred the day
after Wells Fargo closed two accounts because I publicly accused them of
criminal activity. Your company needs to look into this matter. Get these
FTP servers up and running again. A criminal complaint will be filed with
the U.S. Attorney regarding all the ongoing criminal activity by Wells
Fargo, now extended to hacking and undue interference with the webhosts.

Welcome. Liberty In Peril has been relaunched at a new URL:
libertyinperil.com. This is a new commercial site hosted in an overseas
country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers. Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible. -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle. No more bullsh-t. Criminal complaints will be
prepared and filed against Amanda Wright, Lynn Massey, and the equally
criminal bastards in the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for
egregious deceptive trade practices.

Email notification of local businesses of these practices, has and will,
continue unabated until Wells Fargo accepts responsibility, ceases these
practices, and finally makes it right. During the last several weeks
after the ftp servers were hacked, a blizzard of these emails was sent to
local businesses to keep intense pressure on the criminal bastards at
Wells Fargo. Copies of these emails were sent to bank officials. They

publication. This is being done because so many of you access this

This site has finally been fully uploaded. All links appear to be
properly working. Typos in the rush to get material up have also been
corrected. There will be a few additional changes to be made as time
allows. Including, again, a smart phone-friendly abbreviated version of
each future Newsletter Edition starting with v434 that will be available
in addition to the regular edition.

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this
publication, that is exposure of corrupt, abusive, inept, clueless
government lackeys beholden to their corporate masters, rather than
dealing with recalcitrant webhosts. We'll see. With the
libertyinperil.com domain, however, any necessary changes in webhosts will
be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated. Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys. The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere. Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX. A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright. She has, indeed, been promoted branch manager. Reverse Darwinism. Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day. Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril. Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority. Click herefor a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
