While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception. On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe. She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop. She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office. Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it. Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

"Virginia Hall was born into a wealthy Baltimore family in 1906. She was raised to marry into her privileged class, but wanted a life of adventure. "Hall did land a clerical job at a U.S. consulate in Turkey. But while hunting birds, she accidentally shot herself in the foot. Gangrene set in, and her left leg was amputated below the knee. Recovery was long and painful, as she learned to use a clunky wooden leg. Yet it was also a turning point, said Craig Gralley, a retired CIA officer who has written his own book about Hall — a novel, Hall of Mirrors. "She had been given a second chance at life and wasn't going to waste it. And her injury, in fact, might have kind of bolstered her or reawakened her resilience so that she was in fact able to do great things," he said. When World War II erupted and Nazi Germany invaded France, Hall volunteered to drive an ambulance for the French. France was soon overrun, forcing her to flee to Britain. A chance meeting with a spy put her in contact with British intelligence. After limited training, this one-legged American woman was among the first British spies sent into Nazi-occupied France in 1941. She posed as a reporter for the New York Post."

"There were failures, especially in the early days, when members of her network were arrested and killed. The Germans came to realize that they were after a limping lady. But Hall was a natural spy, keeping one step ahead of the German secret police, the Gestapo. "Virginia Hall, to a certain extent, was invisible," said Gralley. "She was able to play on the chauvinism of the Gestapo at the time. None of the Germans early in the war necessarily thought that a woman was capable of being a spy."

"I could only imagine the kind of will and the kind of perseverance that Virginia Hall had by making this trek," he says, "not on a beautiful day, but in the dead of winter and with a prosthetic leg she had to drag behind her."

"When Hall reached Spain, she was arrested because she didn't have an entrance stamp in her passport. She was released after six weeks and made her way back to Britain. She soon grew restless and wanted to return to France. The British refused, fearing it was too dangerous."

"However, the Americans were ramping up their own intelligence service, the Office of Strategic Services, or OSS, which had virtually no presence in France. The Americans needed Hall, yet the Nazis were everywhere, making it even more difficult for her to operate, said Purnell. "She got some makeup artist to teach her how to draw wrinkles on her face," she said. "She also got a fierce, a rather sort of scary London dentist to grind down her lovely, white American teeth so that she looked like a French milkmaid." Hall's second tour in France, in 1944 and 1945, was even more successful than the first. She called in airdrops for the resistance fighters, who blew up bridges and sabotaged trains. They reclaimed villages well before Allied troops advanced deep into France. At its peak, Hall's network consisted of some 1,500 people, including a French-American soldier, Paul Goillot — who would later became her husband."

"Hall's niece, Lorna Catling, is now 89 and lives in Baltimore. She recalls meeting her aunt after the war. "She came home when I was 16, and she was pale and had white hair and crappy clothes," Catling said. And what did Hall say about the war? "She never talked about it," Catling added."

"The British and the French both recognized Hall's contributions — in private. President Harry Truman wanted to honor Hall at a public White House ceremony. Hall declined, saying she wanted to remain undercover. William Donovan, the OSS chief, gave Hall the Distinguished Service Cross — making her the only civilian woman to receive one in World War II. Hall's mother was the only outsider present at the ceremony. "I do think that she became America's greatest spy of World War II," Gralley said of Hall. Hall then joined the newly formed CIA, which succeeded the OSS, and worked there for 15 years, mostly at headquarters. These were not her happiest days. She thrived on the adrenaline of acting independently in the field during wartime. Now she was largely confined to a desk. "As you get higher in rank, now it's all about money and personnel and plans and policy and that sort of bureaucratic stuff," said Randy Burkett, a historian at the CIA."

"And Hall faced discrimination as a woman. "Was she treated properly? Well, by today's standards, absolutely not," said Burkett. Hall retired in 1966 and never spoke publicly. She died in 1982 in Maryland, her story still confined to the intelligence community."

The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise. Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases. Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property. Coup de grace? When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane. Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing. Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff? You're not fit for office, Bill. Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property? Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked. Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise. Back up Berardi. Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights. Why? Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road. Imagine that. Madam County Attorney well-aware. Has done nothing. Shit squat. He had been stabbed several times by two fellow inmates, according to prison incident reports. Two guards dragged Capers outside to the prison yard and left him there while they worked to control the chaos inside, according to the reports. The temperature was 39 degrees."

Jesus Christ. What could these goddamned 'guards' possibly been thinking? Temperature near freezing, inmate severely wounded. Wake up. Nazi America.

"The reports indicate the guards radioed "main control" saying "medical assistance was needed as soon as possible," but surveillance video obtained exclusively by NBC News shows Capers on the ground and writhing for a half hour as multiple guards walk past him."

Jesus Christ. This, the kind of country you wish to live in? Founders? Spinning in their graves. Wouldn't recognize the country they created.

"Twenty-four minutes into the video, a fellow inmate appears on camera and comes over to help. Minutes later, more inmates arrive with a stretcher, but by this point Capers has stopped moving. At 7:37 p.m. that evening, the South Carolina Department of Corrections tweeted, "Following an inmate altercation at Turbeville one inmate was killed and eight inmates were sent for offsite medical attention."

"A year and a half later, no one has been charged with the murder — a death critics say is a symptom of a state prison system plagued by violence and corruption."

"Capers' mother, Debra Dickson, says she will never watch the video of her son dying in the prison yard. "I don't encourage any mother who gave birth to her child to see her child tortured," she told NBC News. "I want to remember my child as I knew him."

South Carolina's prison system, which has more than 20,000 inmates in 21 facilities, has been making the wrong kind of headlines in recent years. A riot last April at the Lee Correctional Institution in Bishopville was the largest riot in an American prison in 25 years. Seven people were killed. There have been at least 21 murders in the past two years in South Carolina prisons, according to state data, and a reported 10 suicides just last year."

"Lawyers suing on behalf of the family members of the men who died in the Lee riot said the guards who were present during the riot have not been interviewed by investigators, leaving some families to wonder about the thoroughness of the investigation."

"The partner of a Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot an unarmed woman as she approached their squad car testified Thursday that he didn't fire his own gun because he was still trying to determine if he was in danger. He agreed with a prosecutor's characterization that it would have been "premature" to use deadly force, but also acknowledged under defense questioning that he feared an ambush. Officer Matthew Harrity is a key witness in the trial of Mohamed Noor, who is charged with murder and manslaughter in the July 15, 2017, shooting death of Justine Ruszczyk Damond. Damond had placed two 911 calls that night to report a possible sexual assault in the alley behind her home. Struck in the abdomen, the 40-year-old dual citizen of the U.S. and Australia bled to death in an incident that sparked anger and disbelief in both countries. Prosecutors questioned Harrity on some key points, including why he didn't fire his own weapon and why he didn't tell investigators at the scene about a thump on the squad car, something he later said had startled the officers. Harrity, dressed in full uniform and crying at one point during his testimony, said as he and Noor responded to Damond's 911 call, they drove down the alley with their headlights off, using a spotlight to search for any evidence of a woman in trouble. Harrity, who was driving, had the safety hood off his holster, ready to pull out his gun if needed. The pair was in the alley for less than two minutes. Finding nothing, they stopped at the end of the alley and planned to go to another call. Harrity testified that he then had a "weird feeling" to his left but couldn't make out what it was."

"At this time, I hear something hit the car and I also hear some sort of murmur," he said. He said he was startled by the thump and his mind went straight to a possible ambush. He immediately drew his gun and held it to his ribs pointing downward, he said. Under cross-examination from defense attorney Peter Wold, Harrity acknowledged he was scared. Harrity said that as he tried to make sense of what was happening, he heard a pop, saw a flash, and looked over to see Noor had fired his gun. Noor had fired across Harrity and through the driver's side window."

"Prosecutor Amy Sweasy seized on Harrity's restraint, asking him about his training in the reasonable use of deadly force. Prosecutors need to prove Noor acted unreasonably when he shot Damond. Under questioning from Sweasy, Harrity said that he would need to identify a threat and a target before firing his weapon. Harrity conceded that an officer would not point a gun unless he intended to use it, and said deadly force can be used only under reasonable circumstances. "Use of deadly force, from your viewpoint at this point, would have been premature," Sweasy said of the situation. "Yes, with what I had," Harrity replied. Harrity also faced tough questions about what he told investigators in the moments right after the shooting. Prosecutors have questioned the defense narrative of a thump on the squad car, saying investigators found no forensic evidence that Damond touched it."

"Harrity acknowledged Thursday that he didn't mention the thump to anyone that night, but said that was because only a brief statement was required and he knew he would be making a full statement in coming days."

"Noor never talked to investigators and it isn't clear whether he will testify."

What did he have to hide? He was an officer. If all was on the up and up, why not cooperate? ... At least, until it was clear he was under suspicion.

"Harrity said he worked well with Noor, adding that he trusted him and felt Noor always had his back."

"I loved working with Officer Noor," he said. Harrity grew emotional during his testimony when he talked about his own mindset in the days after the shooting. Neither officer had their body cameras running when Damond was shot, something Harrity blamed on what he called a vague policy that didn't require it. "Although the special counsel's report on Russian interference does not come to a conclusion as to whether President Trump obstructed justice, Robert Mueller's team did examine 10 "discrete acts" in which he may have done so. The report says these 10 instances can be divided into "two phases, reflecting a possible shift in the president's motives." The first phase took place before Mr. Trump fired his first FBI director, James Comey, after he had been reassured he was not personally under investigation. After Comey's dismissal and Mueller's appointment as special counsel, the report indicates, the president knew he was now under investigation for possibly obstructing justice, and switched gears. "At that point, the president engaged in a second phase of conduct, involving public attacks on the investigation, non-public efforts to control it, and efforts both in public and private to encourage witnesses not to cooperate with the investigation," the report states."

"Had President Donald Trump been left to his own devices, the findings in special counsel Robert Mueller's report released Thursday would have likely been far more damning for him. Instead, the Mueller report makes clear, Trump's "efforts to influence the investigation were mostly unsuccessful" — but only "largely because the persons who surrounded the President declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests." But, the report said, "each time he was approached, McGahn responded that he would not refuse [refute?] the press accounts because they were accurate."

The note said that Sessions should give a speech announcing he would limit the jurisdiction of the special counsel."

Lewandowski scheduled a time to meet with Sessions to deliver the message, but Sessions canceled, and then Lewandowski had to leave Washington. Lewandowski said he would deliver the message "soon," and after he left the meeting, he handed the note to Sessions' chief of staff Rick Dearborn, and asked him to give it to Sessions. Dearborn told Mueller's team that the note "definitely raised an eyebrow" and never followed through — again stifling another move that may have led to bigger legal trouble for Trump."

"In addition, Comey didn't end the investigation into Trump's first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, even though Trump had asked Comey in a one-on-one meeting to "see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go." Comey's refusal to do so, Mueller noted, "ultimately resulted in Flynn's prosecution and conviction for lying to the FBI."

"At other times in the report, Mueller noted similar scenarios, including Trump's attempt to get Sessions to "unrecuse himself," Trump's attempt to get Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats to say publicly that no link existed between Trump and Russia, and Trump's attempt to get then-Staff Secretary Rob Porter to reach out to Rachel Brand to discuss the possibility of installing her as a replacement for Sessions. Kelly documented Trump’s move to grant security clearances to his daughter and son-in-law, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner — and as a means of creating the first draft of a page-turning presidency. But the fact that some of those notes became primary source material for Mueller to paint a vivid portrait of Trump’s efforts to derail the investigation angered the president, who was stewing over the media coverage as he decamped to Florida for the holiday weekend, according to people familiar with his thinking. “Statements are made about me by certain people in the Crazy Mueller Report, in itself written by 18 Angry Democrat Trump Haters, which are fabricated & totally untrue,” the president tweeted Friday morning from his Mar-a-Lago Club. “Watch out for people that take so-called ‘notes,’ when the notes never existed until needed.” Trump went on to claim that some of the statements made about him in the Mueller report were “total bullshit & only given to make the other person look good (or me to look bad).”

"For nearly two years, the public, Congress and the White House waited to learn if special counsel Robert S. Mueller III would find that President Trump had committed crimes. When the answer was finally revealed, it turned out Mueller didn’t think that was his job at all. The special counsel ended his investigation last month, pointedly choosing not to reach a conclusion about whether the president had obstructed justice. In a report of its findings, Mueller’s team said that choice was driven in large part by a long-standing legal opinion at the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) that a sitting president should not be indicted, even if the charges remained sealed. Mueller's team concluded that also meant they could not accuse the president of a crime, even in secret internal documents, the report said. That move surprised everyone, including Attorney General William P. Barr and his senior advisers, according to current and former Justice Department officials. When Mueller presented his findings without reaching a decision about the president, Barr reviewed the evidence and decided that Trump had not obstructed justice. The unusual ending to the investigation stems from a key legal disagreement between Mueller’s team and Barr — opening the door to further political fights over presidential power, Justice Department policies and decision-making inside the Trump administration."

"The White House has told Carl Kline, the former security specialist who approved Jared Kushner’s security clearance over the objections of career staffers, not to comply with a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee, according to a letter obtained by NBC News. Kline was supposed to appear before committee staff Tuesday to face questions related to his handling of White House security clearances. But in a letter to Kline's attorney Robert Driscoll dated Monday, White House Deputy Counsel Michael Purpura said Kline should not appear for an interview if the committee does not allow a member of the White House counsel staff to attend."

"Driscoll sent his own letter to the committee, saying that Kline risked jeopardizing his job at the Pentagon if he defied the White House. "This decision is not made lightly and does not come from any ill will or deliberate defiance on my part or that of my client," Driscoll wrote to congressional staffers. "With two masters from two equal branches of government, we will follow the instructions of the one that employs him," Driscoll added."

"Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said he plans to speak with his members about scheduling a vote to hold Kline in contempt for defying the subpoena. “The White House and Mr. Kline now stand in open defiance of a duly authorized congressional subpoena with no assertion of any privilege of any kind by President Trump," Cummings said in a statement. The move downgrades the country from a "satisfactory" place to work freely to a "problematic" one for journalists. "Never before have US journalists been subjected to so many death threats or turned so often to private security firms for protection," the report stated. Ten journalists have been physically attacked this year, and 46 since 2017. In January, one reporter was punched in the face and her phone stolen, while interviewing voters in California. Last June, five people were killed while working at the Capital Gazette newsroom in Annapolis, Md. The man accused of shooting them had threatened the publication for years leading up to the attack."

When she refused, she said her hands were tied and she was doused in kerosene and set alight. libertyinperil.com. This is a new commercial site hosted in an overseas
country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers. Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible. -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle. No more bullsh-t. Criminal complaints will be

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this

be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated. Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
