While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception. On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe. She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop. She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office. Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it. Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

So, they surprised her — with their K-9 officers in tow. Emma Mertens is battling a brain tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). The survival rates for DIPG are very low and there is no cure for the tumor, according to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The tumor begins in the brain stem, which controls breathing and heart rate, as well as other essential functions. Emma was diagnosed with the tumor in January, according to a GoFundMe page set up in her name. "Last weekend she was having a normal weekend playing with friends, playing in the snow, and wrestling with her brothers," the GoFundMe page says. "Sunday though, she got a headache and started having flu like symptoms." She underwent radiation and surgery for the rare tumor, but is now living home after spending 10 days in the hospital, according to her Caring Bridge page. Emma, who loves dogs, was visited by a therapy dog in the hospital. "I haven't seen this little girl smile this much in a while," writes her father Geoff Mertens of the visit on her Caring Bridge page. A friend of the family asked her friend to send Emma photos and letters from dogs — and the idea took off like wildfire on social media. "What was supposed to be 10-15 people quickly went viral as they all shared the request!" Geoff told CBS News. "I would guess that we have received 200,000 letters by mail, 250,000 emails and 50,000 Facebook messages."

"Emma received mail from people all over the world, but nothing could top her experience this weekend. Nearly 40 police departments from across Wisconsin stopped by the Mertens family house on Saturday — with over 35 K-9 dogs in tow. "They told us that 'a couple' police dogs would be stopping by to surprise Emma. We had no idea over 35 would show up! It was like a parade of squad cars and police dogs!" Geoff told CBS News. The surprise was organized by a friend whose husband is a police sergeant. The dogs and officers approached Emma one at a time. "Each one gave her as much time as she wanted," said Geoff. "The officers were extremely generous with their time. We are forever grateful."

"While Emma may be facing a tough road, her family is keeping positive. "All of this love for Emma is giving us ideas on how to pay it forward," posted Geoff on his daughter's Caring Bridge page after the K-9 visit. "God has picked us for a reason. Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression? Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property. Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property? Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked. Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise. Back up Berardi. Question to be asked. Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe? Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation. Apparently, there has been none. If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner? To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for. Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot. Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot. Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved. Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back? To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road? Why hasn't she been evicted by the County? Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens? Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery? Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue. For what? Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

"A black Detroit man is suing three white women alleging they repeatedly filed false police reports and accused him of various crimes that they knew he did not commit to keep him away from a public park in his old neighborhood."

"Marc Peeples, 33, claims in the lawsuit filed last week that the women fabricated the complaints against him in calls to Detroit police from July 2017 to May 2018 as he built a community garden in a city park."

Jesus Christ. A public service. Imagine that. Can't have that, can we? If above is true, why the hell didn't law enforcement charge these women with filing false police reports?

"Peeples, who describes himself as an entrepreneur and urban gardener, told NBC News that he spent almost two years cultivating the overgrown park in a Detroit neighborhood into a big garden of flowers and vegetables. For half that time, the women — Deborah Nash, Martha Callahan and Callahan's granddaughter, Jennifer Morris — sought to get him "incarcerated or seriously injured by law enforcement," according to the lawsuit filed in Wayne County Third Circuit Court in Michigan."

Law enforcement incapable of knowing when it's being bamboozled? Or, is the problem bigotry within law enforcement itself? Both? What's your excuse, Sheriff?

"The women live across from or near the park, the lawsuit says. Peeples said he grew up in the area but now resides elsewhere in the city. Peeples and his attorney, Robert Burton-Harris, describe it as a case of "gardening while black." Nash, Callahan and Morris could not immediately be reached for comment."

"In March 2018, the women met with administrators at the Detroit Police Department and made a series of accusations against Peeples, including that he had stolen from homes near the park and that on several occasions, he had threatened to burn down their homes and kill them, according to the lawsuit and a trial transcript. In another incident in May 2018, Peeples told NBC News that he was at the park teaching a group of home-schooled children about gardening when Callahan called 911 and reported that he was a convicted pedophile who could not legally be around children. Police responded and he was arrested in front of the students, Peeples said. He has never been accused of or charged with such crimes."

"The women's claims that Peeples threatened them resulted in his being charged with three counts of stalking. Each count carried a sentence of up to a year in jail. At his trial in October 2018, District Judge E. Lynise Bryant dismissed the case before it went to the jury, describing it as "disgusting" and "a waste of the court's time and resources." The judge said the women "should be sitting at the defendant's table for stalking and harassment charges," not Peeples."

Jesus Christ. Where is law enforcement in all this? Out to lunch? Complicit?

"The lawsuit claims that Peeples suffered economic injury, including lost job opportunities and canceled contracts, because of the charges. He is seeking $300,000 in damages, as well as attorneys' fees and other costs. Peeples said Tuesday that he did not garden at the park during the trial and is now happy to be back at work doing what's important — maintaining the park and teaching children the value of horticulture. "Since the trial went the way that it went, it actually has been a positive by bringing light to what I’m doing in the community," he said."

In follow up to a case reported in this publication and elsewhere quite some time ago, CBS News reports:

"The trial of a Florida police officer who shot a disabled man's unarmed caretaker got underway Thursday. North Miami officer Jonathan Aledda is charged with attempted manslaughter and negligence for his role in the July 2016 shooting of Charles Kinsey in North Miami. Video showing Kinsey lying on his back, holding his hands in the air and begging officers not to shoot went viral and drew national outrage. Kinsey, a behavioral therapist, had been trying to coax his autistic client, 26-year-old Arnaldo Rios, to return to the group home he had walked away from. A passerby called 911 when they mistook the toy truck Rios was holding for a gun."

"Testifying Thursday, Kinsey said he immediately put his hands in the air when police responded. "My hands went straight up," Kinsey said, reports the Miami Herald. "I'm letting them know, 'Hey, I ain't no threat.'" Cellphone video captured the moments before and after unarmed health care worker Charles Kinsey was shot by North Miami police on July 18, 2016. Kinsey said he repeatedly shouted that his client was only holding a toy truck. He said he was "shocked" when he was shot, the paper reports, and incredulous when an officer handcuffed him. He recalled he asked an officer why he was shot, and the officer replied, "I don't know."

Not qualified to be an officer. Not everyone is. Could have killed an innocent, unarmed man.

"Aledda fired three times, and one shot struck Kinsey in the leg near his femoral artery, the paper reports. Had the bullet ruptured it, he could have bled to death."

That's right. The man could have died due to the officer's aggressive stupidity, gross ineptness.

"In opening statements Thursday, prosecutor Reid Rubin painted Aledda as a reckless cop who opened fire despite evidence that Rios didn't pose a threat, the paper reports. "Having power of life and death, he chose death," Rubin said."

Improper vetting of the incompetent son of a bitch. Again, not everyone is qualified to be a cop. Has to be one of the hardest jobs anyone can take on.

"But defense attorneys said Aledda didn't hear radio dispatches suggesting the toy truck was not a gun. Defense lawyer Douglas Hartman said Aledda believed Rios was holding Kinsey hostage and Kinsey was in danger. The defense says Aledda shot Kinsey accidentally. "This is a life or death situation," Hartman said. "He thinks it's a hostage ready to be killed right in front of him. He had the guts to do it."

Jesus Christ. That's nuts. Best you could do? Clearly, incompetent counsel for an incompetent cop.

"The shooting led to the firing of the North Miami police chief and the suspension of a former police commander for allegedly lying about his part in the shooting, reported CBS Miami. Aledda's trial opened the same day another Florida officer, Nouman Raja, was convicted in the shooting death of black motorist Corey Jones. It was the first time in 30 years a Florida officer was convicted for an on-duty shooting."

That's right. Needs to change. Maybe, this is finally the beginning of some desperately needed change. We'll see.

"The FBI is investigating a former Florida police officer accused of using federal databases to pursue women romantically. Officials say 36-year-old Leonel Marines tracked down hundreds of women with driver's license and vehicle registration databases used by law enforcement nationwide. The former police sergeant resigned in October in the middle of an internal affairs investigation, but his legal troubles could just be starting. "This is truly a disturbing situation for me as chief," Bradenton Police Chief Melanie Bevan said."

"Bradenton police say an internal audit revealed Marines, a 12-year veteran of the force, abused law enforcement resources to prowl for women. That included social media stalking and even home visits, reports CBS News correspondent Nikki Battiste. Bevan said Marines "was very persistent – and successful at times." Last June, a woman and her parents filed a complaint after they said Marines followed her home that triggered an investigation of his database searches. Police say they discovered several hundred questionable database searches on women and eventually interviewed nearly 150 women associated with the investigation. "It also revealed that this behavior may have been going on for years, stretching as far back as 2012," Bevan said."

How does something like this happen? No checks and balances? ... Or, were you and other commanders asleep on the job, Chief?

"Marines was put on administrative leave before he resigned last October. Kelli Blake was one of the women Marines searched for but did not contact. "I was creeped out a little bit, yeah," Blake said. "I just think it's really weird that somebody would like do that." "It's a violation of privacy. It's a violation of professional ethics. It's a violation of the codes of conduct of every police department I can think of," said Adam Levin, founder of CyberScout, a cybersecurity provider."

"What can a police department do to combat something like this happening?" Battiste asked. "They can be stricter with the way they permit people to access their databases," Levin said. "When you have cases like this where that access is abused, that privilege is abused, that undermines people's faith in law enforcement."

"Marines did not return our calls for comment. He could face criminal charges."

"A longtime police officer forced women to have sex with him under threat of an arrest, pressured others to help cover up crimes, and lied to federal investigators when he said he'd never had sex with prostitutes, according to charges unveiled Monday. Columbus vice squad Officer Andrew Mitchell, 55, was arrested Monday and faces a detention hearing this week. He is charged with witness tampering, obstruction of justice, making a false statement to federal investigators, and deprivation of rights under color of law, the language used to describe crimes committed by police officers while on duty. A federal indictment accused Mitchell, a 30-year veteran, of arresting two different women and forcing them to have sex before he would release them."

"Later, during the federal investigation, Mitchell lied when he told the FBI he'd never had sex with a prostitute, since Mitchell knew "he has had sex with numerous prostitutes, including having paid women money for sex," according to the indictment. Mitchell has also been investigated by state authorities after police said he fatally shot a woman who stabbed him in the hand while sitting in his unmarked police car. Donna Castleberry, 23, had struggled with drugs and was likely working the streets as a prostitute, her family has said. She left behind two young daughters. Committing the alleged crimes while on duty is "a nightmarish breach of trust," said Ben Glassman, the U.S. attorney for the southern half of Ohio."

"We rely on the police to serve and protect us, and when you have a police officer who commits a crime, that is a very serious breach of trust," he said."

"Police officers take an oath to the constitution and promise to obey federal, state and local laws, said Thomas Quinlan, interim Columbus police chief."

"Franklin County prosecutor Ron O'Brien said Monday he expects to take that case to a grand jury soon."

"Mitchell plans to appear before the grand jury, Mitchell said, "and testify truthfully and indicate as to why it was a good use of force."

"The charges were the latest black eye for the vice squad, which has also been under scrutiny since last year's arrest of porn actress Stormy Daniels. Charges were dropped hours later." Nazi justice. In what has become a fascist police-state. Earlier this year, Daniels sued several Columbus police officers for $2 million over that arrest. Daniels' federal defamation lawsuit alleges that officers conspired to retaliate against her because of her claims she had sex with Donald Trump before he became president. Last week, an internal police investigation concluded Daniels' arrest was improper, but not planned or politically motivated."

The report estimated that “thousands” of other children may have been taken from their parents, including from July 1, 2017, to November 2017, during a trial run of the crackdown in west Texas and New Mexico. Until then, the ACLU had heard of only a few such cases. At a hearing last month, Justice Department lawyers said most of those children were probably with a parent or a close relative who had been vetted by the government, and expressed concern that contacting the families could traumatize the children. They suggested having parents file individual lawsuits to get their children back. Sabraw, a Republican appointee in the Southern District of California, said in his ruling that such a requirement would make it “virtually impossible” for deported parents to get their children back."

Welcome. Liberty In Peril has been relaunched at a new URL:
libertyinperil.com. This is a new commercial site hosted in an overseas
country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers. Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible. -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle. No more bullsh-t. Criminal complaints will be
prepared and filed against Amanda Wright, Lynn Massey, and the equally
criminal bastards in the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for
egregious deceptive trade practices.

Email notification of local businesses of these practices, has and will,
continue unabated until Wells Fargo accepts responsibility, ceases these
practices, and finally makes it right. During the last several weeks

This site has finally been fully uploaded. All links appear to be
properly working. Typos in the rush to get material up have also been
corrected. There will be a few additional changes to be made as time
allows. Including, again, a smart phone-friendly abbreviated version of
each future Newsletter Edition starting with v434 that will be available
in addition to the regular edition.

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this
publication, that is exposure of corrupt, abusive, inept, clueless
government lackeys beholden to their corporate masters, rather than
dealing with recalcitrant webhosts. We'll see. With the
libertyinperil.com domain, however, any necessary changes in webhosts will
be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated. Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys. The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere. Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX. A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright. She has, indeed, been promoted branch manager. Reverse Darwinism. Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. Click here for a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
