"More than half a century ago, Deborah Crosby was sent home from the first grade to find military officers in her living room and her mother distraught: Her father's Navy plane had been shot down in northern Vietnam, and he was presumed dead, though his body had not been found. "I think my mom would be very happy that my dad is getting the military honors and the recognition of the hero that he was," she said. "There is so much relief in my heart. And the closing of the letter, I'm paraphrasing, was that, 'I might not see you on Earth but I will see you in heaven. Love, Michael,' " Jones said."

To date, the Bush "The Tush"-"Slick Dick" Cheney ringleaders of this invasion of Iraq under false pretenses have not been held accountable for their war crimes.

"Bitz's portrait hangs on the wall outside of Jones' congressional office in the Rayburn Building. His is one of 568 pictures of Marines killed in Iraq or Afghanistan, hung as part of a makeshift memorial Jones set up on the walls outside of his office. All were Marines stationed at Camp Lejeune, which is in Jones' district. Jones is a devout Catholic, and this memorial, which he started about 10 years ago, is a type of penance. So is his letter writing. Jones tries to write to the family of every service member killed in Iraq or Afghanistan. Military liaisons ask families if they would like to receive condolence letters; if they say yes, Jones writes."

"I have signed over 12,000 letters to families and extended families who've lost loved ones in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and that was for me asking God to forgive me for my mistake," he said. Jones' profound regret for his votes to authorize the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is well known on Capitol Hill. For years, his was a lonely non-interventionist voice in the Republican Party calling to bring all combat troops home. But last week at a press conference outside the Capitol, Jones was not alone."

"My concern is that our colleagues have forgotten about the war in Afghanistan," said Rep. Tom Massie, R-Ky. "These wars that are dragging on. There are lives over there — and we're still losing lives over there — for goals that I don't think our colleagues can define."

"Massie is one of nine co-sponsors — four Republicans and five Democrats — who support new legislation by Jones that would cut off money for all combat operations in Afghanistan one year after enactment. It would only allow funds for embassy operations and intelligence gathering."

"Police say two people died and another was hurt in a stabbing on a Northeast Portland light-rail train after a man yelled racial slurs at two young women, one of whom was wearing a hijab. "

"Witnesses told CBS affiliate KOIN the suspect was yelling about hating Muslims and other things for several minutes before people confronted him and that's when things became physical. Portland police spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson says the man on MAX, the train system, was ranting on many topics, using "hate speech or biased language," and turned his focus on the women. According to KOIN, those two women left the scene. Simpson says passengers intervened and were "attacked viciously." Witnesses told KOIN one of the victims was stabbed in the neck and passengers rushed to help them. Simpson says one person died at the scene and another at a hospital. The third victim is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said."

The killer is in custody. Has not been identified. Not yet clear whether he has mental, drug, alcohol issues, etc..

"Portland police on Saturday identified the two slain victims as 53-year-old Ricky John Best and 23-year-old Taliesin Myrddin Namkai Meche. A third victim, 21-year-old Micah David-Cole Fletcher, is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said."

"Police identified the suspect early Saturday morning as 35-year-old Jeremy Joseph Christian, of north Portland. Christian is being held without bail on two counts of aggravated murder, one count of attempted murder, two counts of intimidation in the second degree and one count of possession of a restricted weapon as a felon."

"The Portland Mercury, a local newspaper, reported that Christian was a “known right wing extremist and white supremacist” who had attempted to assault protesters at local demonstrations in the past. Video from April 29, shot by Mercury reporter Doug Brown, showed Christian arriving at a “March for Free Speech” draped in an American flag and carrying a baseball bat. While there, Christian yelled to the crowd that he was a “nihilist,” shouted the n-word at people and gave Nazi salutes, Brown reported."

Coup de grace? Took days for the Trump nazi to condemn the attack. The cancer grows as Trump extends the fascist police-state we already live in to the Fourth Reich.

"One of the girls who was targeted in the tirade Friday, Destinee Mangum, 16, said that she and her 17-year-old friend were riding the train when Christian approached them yelling what is described as hate speech. She said her friend is Muslim, but she's not. "He told us to go back to Saudi Arabia, and he told us we shouldn't be here, to get out of his country," Mangum said. "He was just telling us that we basically weren't anything and that we should kill ourselves."

"The girls were scared and moved to the back of the train while a stranger jumped in to help. "Then they just all started arguing," Mangum told KOIN. "He just started stabbing people, and it was just blood everywhere, and we just started running for our lives." Mangum thanked the men that came to her aid. "They lost their lives because of me and my friend, and the way we looked," Mangum said."

"Muslims in Portland, Oregon, thanked the community for its support and said they were raising money for the families of two men who were killed when they came to the defense of two young women -- one wearing a hijab -- who were targeted by an anti-Muslim rant. "I am very thankful as a Muslim, I am very thankful as a Portlander... that we stand together here as one," Muhammad A. Najieb, an imam at the Muslim Community Center, said Saturday. He said the two young women "could have been the victims, but three heroes jumped in and supported them." Najieb said a fundraising page launched by his group for the families of the dead men, a surviving victim and the two young women had raised $50,000 in its first hours."

Best way to fight racism, defeat bigotry of Trump and his henchmen? Come together as a community as Portland clearly has:

"Harris Zafar with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Portland said while the events Friday were shocking, he was inspired by the actions of these men, CBS affiliate KOIN reports.

"….knowing that innocent people who were complete strangers stood up to defend these terrified two teenage girls," Zafar said. "They had nothing to gain out of it but they stood up to help them and to do what was right. That level of honor and valor and courage, we don't see."

There is at least one sheriff in this country who's desperately trying to get it right. Chicago's Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart is certainly one of them. CBS News 60 Minutes reports:

"Chicago -- with the largest number of murders last year of any major city in the country -- has one of the largest jails in the country. An average of 70,000 men and women pass thru Cook County Jail each year, many more than once and, as with other big city jails, most of the inmates who cycle through are either poor, mentally ill or members of a gang. One of the few things Republicans and Democrats, agree on is the need for corrections reform. And Cook County is leading the way -- almost by necessity -- with a new approach to help break the cycle."

"The county sheriff, Tom Dart, is getting a lot of the credit. A former prosecutor who's been elected and re-elected sheriff since 2006, Dart -- as you'll see -- is unconventional. ... He has redefined the role of sheriff. He sees the job as not just keeping people in jail but helping some of them get out. He says many behind bars shouldn't be there."

"Dart says the jail – with a population today of about 7,500 -- has become a dumping ground for the poor and mentally ill.

"Tom Dart: I would suggest conservatively that half of the people here in the jail shouldn't be here. That they don't—

"Tom Dart: They don't pose a danger to anybody. The people in most jails-- in 95 percent of the people in this jail are waiting on a trial. So everybody here are people who haven't been convicted yet. So you say to yourself, "All right, they're presumed innocent. Who is so dangerous that we need to hold them here while we're waiting on a trial?"

Bond is set incredibly high on chicken shit crimes, leading to egregious jail overload.

"Cara Smith: So last year alone we had 1,024 people who spent their entire prison term here in the Cook County Jail, but the more incredible statistic is that same group of people spent an extra 222 years of custody here in the Cook County Jail. Lengths of stay run from a week or less to 8 or 9 years. Some of the people who spend years here are the mentally ill, who make up about a third of the population, and are the jail's biggest cost."

Jails across the country become dumping grounds for the mentally ill at horrendous taxpayer expense. Worse? An egregious humanitarian issue more befitting a banana republic, than a supposedly democratic republic. Forget? The mindless manifestation of an achingly ignorant GOP 'law and order' mentality embraced by Republican fascists.

"Elli Montgomery: In a group home? OK. We're gonna make sure that you get help today.

"Inmate: If I don't get the medication that I need, I know it's gonna go wrong.

"This man -- who also has a history of mental illness -- has been in and out of the jail 37 times.

"Lesley Stahl: How does that happen? How does someone come back to a jail 37 times?

"Tom Dart: What in God's name do you expect to happen with that person? OK so this person has a serious mental illness, he's not being treated, his family and him have been disconnected for years, he obviously doesn't have a job. He has nowhere to live. What do you think is going to happen? I'll tell you what's going to happen. He will come in contact with law enforcement, either because he's trying to find a place to sleep or he's trying to find something to eat and he'll be back in here. It's not because he walked out of here saying, "Listen, I want to go and commit horrific crimes." It's like he's trying to survive."

Republican 'law and order' fascists fail to understand this. Consequently, nothing changes. Taxpayers continue to be looted. Jails have a revolving door. Worse, lives lay wasted. Many don't survive.

Yet another exoneration of a convicted murderer in Pennsylvania. ABC News reports:

"A convicted murderer was declared innocent and set free this week after spending more than two decades in a Pennsylvania prison. Shaurn Thomas, 43, was released from the State Correctional Institution in Frackville, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday afternoon after being jailed for 24 years for a murder he did not commit, his attorneys said. Thomas was sentenced to life in prison for the slaying of Domingo Martinez, a Philadelphia businessman who was shot in 1990 while trying to cash $25,000 check, according to news reports covering the killing. Thomas had maintained that he was at a correctional center for youth offenders in connection with an unrelated case on the day of the murder, but that did not sway the jury."

'Law and order' nazis are never ever confused with the truth. Precisely, why prosecutors do their damnedest to load the jury with these pieces of shit. Most prosecutors couldn't care less whether or not their targets are guilty or innocent. Only that someone, anyone, gets nailed. Nazi judges with an agenda go along with the ruse. In direct violation of their oaths of office.

"The law firm Dechert LLP, which represented Thomas on a pro bono basis, said in a statement that sign-in logs at the center had "vanished by the time of the trial."

"The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office said it agreed to vacate the conviction. "We will continue to review this case and make a decision regarding retrial in the very near future," the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office said in a statement Tuesday."

How do records conveniently disappear, vanish in thin air? No one held accountable.

Wake up, Sheriff. Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office? Fifty-eight weeks, now. A goddamned disgrace. Why are you still sitting on this information? What are you hiding, Sheriff? What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise? Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons? Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history? An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse. How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Fifty-eight weeks. Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger. To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff? Those of your thugs? The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down. You don't understand that, Sheriff? Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one. Including taxpayers. Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot. The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt. Think not? Wake up. Your credibility has tanked. It's time the public be fully informed. -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County. If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be yours courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone. ... Right, Sheriff? TL? "Sonny Boy?" Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why. This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet. Ignored. The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us. They can't be. They've lied too many times. Refuse to be accountable to anyone. We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity. That has to change.

Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own? April Johnson, the mother of a 14-year-old girl seen being punched by a San Antonio police officer in an online video, is speaking out."

"As a mother, to sit there and be helpless and you can't help your child, that's the worst feeling in the world," Johnson told reporters Wednesday. "I don't want this to happen to anybody else's child, [for] anybody else to feel what I'm feeling right now. Nobody should have to go through that."

Proper police procedure to punch someone, especially a kid, in the face during an arrest?

"According to a police report obtained by KENS, when officers arrived, several party attendees, including juveniles, had been involved in fights and were still being aggressive with one another. It's not clear exactly what led up to the events in the video, but the police report says Johnson's daughter assaulted an officer and she was arrested at the scene."

Whether the arrest was warranted is one issue. The other is the fact the officer punched the kid in the face.

"She says her daughter was simply trying to be a peacemaker during the incident. The police report says the teen wasn't hurt during the scuffle, but Johnson says her daughter is still in pain."

"If you can't handle your job, don't do it. If you have that much aggression, maybe you should have called in that day because there's no point, the way you hit a 14-year-old child," Johnson said. "You hit this child in front of everyone and you exposed this child in front of everyone. You need to be taken off the streets."

"An attorney for the family is insisting the officer be terminated. "What I do know and what we see on the video is that this officer made physical and violent contact with the face of this 14-year-old," said Tess House. "We want the SAPD Officer's Association to be honest and critical of when their officers should not serve in that capacity anymore."

SAPD is now reviewing body cam video to determine ...exactly what happened and Chief McManus is keeping me updated on the ongoing investigation. When I supported funding for body cameras it was for instances like this so that we can see exactly what happened and protect officers and citizens."

They told him "he could be charged with child pornography and he could be a registered sex offender," family attorney Terry Ekl told CBS Chicago station WBBM-TV."

"Ekl said they continued the harsh questioning even after realizing no pornographic images were on the teen's phone. While waiting for his mom, Corey walked out of school and killed himself."

"A Georgia sheriff recently arrested by an officer who accused him of exposing himself in a park has suspended himself for one week."

"The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports ( http://on-ajc.com/2qRqB76 ) DeKalb County Sheriff Jeff Mann emailed sheriff's office employees Tuesday, saying he imposed the maximum penalty for conduct that "has a tendency to destroy public respect." His suspension begins Saturday."

"Mann was arrested May 6 after an Atlanta police officer said Mann exposed himself in a park and led the officer on a chase. Mann faces charges of ordinance violations of indecency and obstruction. Mann said the suspension is not an admission of guilt."

"A panel appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal is investigating Mann. Mann's attorney is asking a judge to stop that probe, saying he's not accused of official misconduct."

"DeKalb County Sheriff Jeff Mann said he will take a self-imposed suspension starting this weekend. In a memo to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, Mann said he is disciplining himself for one week due to "conduct unbecoming."

"Mann said he will donate one week of pay to charity. His suspension starts this Sunday."

"Gianforte was a strong favorite throughout the campaign and that continued even after authorities charged him with misdemeanor assault Wednesday. "But the theme of the election shifted Wednesday night when Jacobs walked into Gianforte's office as he was preparing for an interview with Fox News. Jacobs began asking the candidate about the health care bill passed by the House when the crew and Jacobs say Gianforte slammed him to the floor, yelling "Get out of here!"

"Gianforte's campaign issued a statement Wednesday blaming the incident on Jacobs. But on Thursday night, Gianforte apologized both to Jacobs and to the Fox News crew for having to witness the attack. "I should not have treated that reporter that way and for that I'm sorry, Mr. Jacobs."

Sorry? Think so? Sorry he got caught. The House now has a bona fide thug. Jacobs needs to sue the living shit out of Gianforte. Intensify his effort to expose this goddamned piece of crap for precisely whom and what he is.

"Tonight, as Greg was giving a separate interview in a private office, The Guardian's Ben Jacobs entered the office without permission, aggressively shoved a recorder in Greg's face, and began asking badgering questions," the campaign said. "Jacobs was asked to leave. After asking Jacobs to lower the recorder, Jacobs declined. Greg then attempted to grab the phone that was pushed in his face. Jacobs grabbed Greg's wrist, and spun away from Greg, pushing them both to the ground. "Late Wednesday, Fox News correspondent Alicia Acuna reported that she and her crew witnessed the incident and saw Gianforte grab Jacobs "by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him." "To be clear, at no point did any of us who witnessed this assault see Jacobs show any form of physical aggression toward Gianforte," Acuna wrote."

"The Republican candidate for Congress not only lost the endorsement of this newspaper Wednesday night when, according to witnesses, he put his hands around the throat of a reporter asking him about his health care stance, threw him to the ground and punched him — he should lose the confidence of all Montanans," the Missoulian said in an editorial. The paper went on to say Gianforte "lacks the experience, brains and abilities to effectively represent Montana in any elected office."

That's right. Doesn't. Yet, the son of a bitch won the election. He'll fit right in with the Trump nazi and his henchmen.

"The Billings Gazette said it was "at a loss for words." "If what was heard on tape and described by eye-witnesses is accurate, the incident in Bozeman is nothing short of assault," the newspaper wrote. "We wouldn't condone it if it happened on the street. We wouldn't condone it if it happened in a home or even a late-night bar fight. And we couldn't accept it from a man who is running to become Montana's lone Congressional representative."

"The Guardian reporter who authorities say was assaulted by a Montana Republican candidate for a U.S. House seat says he never touched the politician before he was thrown to the ground. Ben Jacobs told ABC's "Good Morning America" that he was doing his job and asking a question of candidate Greg Gianforte as part of covering Thursday's special election. Gianforte was charged with misdemeanor assault late Wednesday. He's accused of grabbing Jacobs by the throat and throwing him to the ground in his campaign office earlier Wednesday night."

"I approached the congressman. I asked him about the CBO score and he shortly thereafter sort of, you know, repeated the question," Jacobs said, referring to the Congressional Budget Office's assessment of the effects of the Republican health care bill passed by the House. "He grabbed my recorder, and next thing I knew I had gone from being vertical to being horizontal." Gianforte would face a maximum $500 fine or 6 months in jail if convicted. A statement by Gallatin County Sheriff Brian Gootkin added that Jacobs' injuries did not meet the legal definition of felony assault. The sheriff's office said Gianforte has until June 7 to appear in court on the charge."

Why not an attempted murder charge? Grabbed him by the neck. Threw him to the ground. Could have killed him.

"Hours after the incident, Gianforte's campaign blamed Jacobs, saying the reporter was being aggressive and grabbed Gianforte. In a statement, spokesman Shane Scanlon said Gianforte asked Jacobs to lower his recorder, an exchange that does not appear in Jacobs' audio recording of the encounter. Scanlon also dubbed Jacobs a "liberal reporter" who "created this scene."

"The only thing in the Gianforte statement that is factually correct is my name and place of employment," Jacobs said of Gianforte's account on "Good Morning America" Thursday. An account by a Fox News reporter who was in the room and witnessed the encounter corroborates Jacobs' recollection."

The Texas Legislature run and owned by GOP nazis again disgraced itself. Texas Public Radio reports:

"A heated exchange on the Texas House floor led one state lawmaker to threaten to shoot another in the head, on the last day of 85th legislative session. The scuffle began with a protest by groups unhappy about the legislature’s passage of Senate Bill 4, the sanctuary cities law, which led DPS Troopers to escort the protesters out."

"But on the floor, a different type of fight was happening between Republican members of the Freedom Caucus and Hispanic lawmakers."

Comes as no surprise, does it? Resistance to Republican national socialists exponentially grows as our formerly great country continues to nazify under Trump and his henchmen.

"Rep. Justin Rodriguez, a San Antonio Democrat, was one of the lawmakers involved in the scuffle. “There is a Republican lawmaker who made a disparaging comment about the folks in gallery who are predominantly Hispanic, by the way, that he was going to be calling ICE on them,” Rodriguez said."

"That comment was made by Rep. Matt Rinaldi, a Dallas-area Republican. “They said some things to me, I said some things back to them. Both of it was designed to incite each other, obviously, as sometimes happens in these passionate issues,” Rinaldi said."

"Rinaldi confirmed that he threatened to shoot Eagle Pass Democrat Pancho Nevarez related to the fight on the House floor."

If this is indeed true, why hasn't this legislator been arrested for making a terroristic threat? Instead, he's reportedly under protection from DPS troopers.

“There was a threat made from Representative Rinaldi to put a bullet in one of my colleagues’ heads,” state Rep. Justin Rodriguez said during the news conference. “That kind of threatening language, he needs to be called out and held accountable for.”

Why haven't any of these legislators been arrested? Joe Blow on the street gets his ass hauled to jail. These pieces of shit in the Legislature are coddled, protected.

"Hundreds of protesters opposing Texas' tough new anti-"sanctuary cities" law launched a raucous demonstration from the public gallery in the Texas House on Monday, briefly halting work and prompting lawmakers on the floor below to scuffle - and even threaten gun violence - as tense divides over hardline immigration policies boiled over."

Resistance to the Trump nazi and his fellow fascists in the GOP is ferocious, but must remain peaceful. Otherwise, the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue are granted carte blanche to murder on the job.

"Activists wearing red T-shirts reading "Lucha," or "Fight," quietly filled hundreds of gallery seats as proceedings began. After about 40 minutes, they began to cheer, drowning out the lawmakers below. Protesters also blew whistles and chanted: "Here to stay!" and "Hey, hey, ho, ho, SB4 has got to go," referring to the bill that Gov. Greg Abbott signed into law this month."

This outrageously unconstitutional bill signed into law by the Abbott nazi will certainly be vigorously challenged in court.

"State House leadership stopped the session and asked state troopers to clear the gallery. The demonstration continued for about 20 minutes as officers led people out of the chamber peacefully in small groups. There were no reports of arrests."

Troopers wisely displayed restraint. So did protesters. Not so, legislators on the floor.

"But even after the protest ended, tensions remained high. Rep. Ramon Romero, a Democrat from Fort Worth, said he was standing with fellow Democratic Rep. Cesar Blanco of El Paso when Republican colleague Matt Rinaldi came over and said: "This is BS. That's why I called ICE."

What else would be expected from an asshole Republican nazi? This apparently set off the ruckus on the floor:

"Rinaldi, of Irving in suburban Dallas, and Blanco then began shouting at each other. A scuffle nearly ensued before other lawmakers separated the two. Later, a group of Democratic lawmakers held a press conference to accuse Rinaldi of threatening to "put a bullet in the head" of someone on the House floor during a second near scuffle. They said the comment was made in the direction of Democratic Rep. Poncho Nevarez, from the border town of Eagle Pass. In a subsequent Facebook statement, Rinaldi admitted saying he'd called federal authorities and threatened to shoot Nevarez - but said his life was in danger, not the other way around."

"GOP state Rep. Matt Rinaldi says he called Immigration and Customs Enforcement on the protesters, several of whom carried signs proclaiming "I am illegal and here to stay." Later, he told the Texas Tribune he did it "to incentivize them to leave the House." He added: "They were disrupting. They were breaking the law." After he placed the call, he says he simply told his Democratic colleagues he did so."

"Those Democratic colleagues, however, remember that conversation very differently. "He came up to us and said, 'I'm glad I just called ICE to have all these people deported,'" state Rep. César Blanco said at a news conference after the incident, according to the Tribune. State Rep. Ramon Romero recalls blunter language: "He said, 'I called ICE — f*** them.' " At this point, Rinaldi says that Romero "physically assaulted" him, and that another Democratic lawmaker, Poncho Nevarez, threatened to "get" Rinaldi on his way to his car. "I made it clear," Rinaldi said in a statement posted on Twitter, "that if he attempted to, in his words, 'get me,' I would shoot him in self defense." In the midst of the scuffle, which was recorded on video by several bystanders, Democratic Rep. Justin Rodriguez says he heard Rinaldi say something rather different to his colleague: "I'll put a bullet in his head."

Needs to be a criminal investigation. Let the chips fall where they may. No matter the political party. Appalling behavior by all involved.

"A Texas lawmaker said his office received racist phone calls on Monday evening, just hours after a fight broke out on the floor of the state's House of Representatives. Democratic Texas Rep. Cesar Blanco said the scuffle between lawmakers -- which reportedly occurred after state Rep. Matt Rinaldi, a Republican, told House Democrats that he had called immigration services on a group of Hispanic protesters -- had incited “hate and racism.” Blanco shared audio on Twitter of what appeared to phone call from a Rinaldi supporter. In the audio, a male caller says "I stand with Matt Rinaldi" before going on to make racist comments towards “illegal alien[s]” in the state."

Racism will worsen across our formerly great country as the Trump nazi determinedly forces agencies to ignore civil rights enforcement across the board. The Washington Post reports:

"The Trump administration is planning to disband the Labor Department division that has policed discrimination among federal contractors for four decades, according to the White House’s newly proposed budget, part of wider efforts to rein in government programs that promote civil rights."

"Instead of courtroom justice, he offered the couple $3,000, a second-hand apology and advice that they find the defendant and assault him, the indictment alleged. And the number of Hispanic-reported robberies and aggravated assaults are each down 12 percent. "They're afraid that we're more interested as a society in deporting them than we are in bringing justice to the victims of crime."

allows. Including, again, a smart phone-friendly abbreviated version of

in addition to the regular edition.

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this
publication, that is exposure of corrupt, abusive, inept, clueless
government lackeys beholden to their corporate masters, rather than
dealing with recalcitrant webhosts. We'll see. With the
libertyinperil.com domain, however, any necessary changes in webhosts will
be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated. Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys. The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere. Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Owner, Garage Guys, Overhead Doors, Burnet, TX. A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright. She has, indeed, been promoted to branch manager. Reverse Darwinism. Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The name of this publication was changed some ten years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril. The reason? Simple. Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade. Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication. Either through advertising or other financial support. Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it? Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however. Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags. Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up. Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity. On a rampage. Thus, you get what you truly deserve. Always. Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate. -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area. Ten years after originally intending to do so. Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues. Another reason for this publication name change. Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed. Can't be ignored. That's where you come in dear readers. Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up. Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day. These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem. No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked. It's time to stand up. Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight. Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb. From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain. Wake up. Grow a pair.

For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits. At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys. Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit. To line County coffers. Keep the peasants in line and under control. A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril. Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority. Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastardsknow who you are. Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication? Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country. Insult to injury? There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway. No matter the effort. No matter the research. No matter the proof. Wake up. This writer cannot do it alone. Snowball's chance in hell. Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded. Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy. Literally.

Click herefor a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
