There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers. Glaring sunlight. Dazzling brilliance. Amazing how the roaches run for cover. As always, when a cop does something heroic, and/or of great benefit to the community, it leads. Always. Consider the following. It's nighttime. No one's on the road and your car suddenly stalls. No power. Nothing. Dead. On fire. Can't get out. Can't break window glass. Trapped. CNN reports:

"That's the situation Navy veteran Kim Novak of Spokane, Washington, found herself in last month. "The car just went black," Novak said. "The radio shut off, all the lights went off. The motor stopped. I mean just black." Novak didn't know "if the flames were going to get me first or the smoke was going to get me." She grabbed for her phone and dialed a 911 dispatcher, who told her to try again to kick out the car's windows. They wouldn't shatter."

"In his patrol car, not far away, Spokane police Officer Tim Schwering, was working his usual graveyard shift. "I just heard it on the radio and decided, I'm going to that," he recalled. Minutes later, Schwering was there. He recalled finding Novak in her car in the middle of the street. The engine compartment was "completely engulfed in flames."

No way to unlock the door. Glass that was apparently extremely difficult, if not impossible to shatter.

"Schwering had to punch through the car's glass. But how? Dramatic police body camera video shows the officer using his baton to crack the vehicle's driver-side window. But it "wasn't working fast enough," he said. "That's when I started ripping the glass out with my hands." He worked for about a minute, all the while the fire threatening to hit the fuel line and spark an explosion."

Clearly, a faulty engineering issue. There always should be some way to exit a vehicle in an emergency. -- Especially, if there is no body damage from a collision. The victim asserts the car was well-maintained, serviced. Only several years old. Approximately 75,000 miles.

"Finally, Schwering created just enough space for Novak to climb through the window. "I grab an arm, a neighbor grabs an arm, and we pull her out of the car and drag her to the ambulance, " Schwering remembered. The video shows the three of them rushing away from the flames. No one was injured, but Novak and Schwering were treated for smoke inhalation as a precaution."

"As for the fame he's drawn since rescuing Novak, Schwering said, "Getting this attention is nice, but I can tell you a hundred stories that have happened in the past month within this department and around the nation that are doing the same things."

That's why when I hear of one, it's covered here. Represents the very best in policing.

"Novak said she was "at the mercy of whoever was going to come save me." She called Schwering her "guardian angel." She's sharing her story to promote Schwering's bravery. "Divine intervention, by the grace of God -- whatever you want to say -- he came to my rescue," she said. "Because I wouldn't have made it. I honestly believe I would have perished in there."

"A Franklin [NC] police officer saved the life of a family dog by administering CPR and mouth-to-snout resuscitation. Wednesday morning, Linda Marble called for help after her pomeranian named Ginger chewed through an old lamp cord and was shocked. Officer Christy Osborne-Evans arrived at the home to find Ginger unresponsive. She removed the cord and immediately started CPR and mouth-to-snout breaths, reviving little Ginger, much to her owner's appreciation."

... No greater love. Another great story of a cat who saved a life, but lost his. Fox News reports:

"A 74-year-old Texas man lost the home he once shared with his wife and son to a fire on Valentine's Day. But he could've lost his life if it weren't for his pet cat that alerted him. Reed McIntosh says he was asleep when his home caught fire in Grand Prairie Tuesday morning. It was one of his five cats named Angel who woke him up and gave him the chance to get out of his home safely. Sadly, Angel and the rest of his pets didn’t make it."

"Early Tuesday morning, McIntosh was asleep in his bedroom when Angel, his 7-month-old cat, started pawing his face. “He did it again,” he recalled. “And I sort of sat up, like ‘what?!’” That's when McIntosh heard some beeping that at first he thought was coming from his computer. But it was a smoke alarm going off near the garage. McIntosh says he got out and called 911."

"Grand Prairie firefighters showed up and began fighting the flames and searching for the cats that were still inside. “One of the gentlemen came out and said ‘We found them. They were all in your bedroom,’” he recalled. “I was like, ‘great!’ He said, ‘No, they're all gone. Sorry.’” McIntosh says a woman with animal control brought the cats out who had died from smoke inhalation in a clothes basket so he could say goodbye."

“Which I thought was very thoughtful and brought them up on the porch, and I held them,” he said. “I loved them.” McIntosh says he removed their collars for safe keeping. Removing Angel's collar was the toughest. “If it hadn't been for Angel, I would've been dead,” he said. “I think that was destined to be his name. I think he was destined to be here to save me on a Valentine's Day. I'll never forget.”

There are some incredible stand-up people out there. Disabled Navy veteran Gary Blough is certainly one of them. So is the owner of a Daytona Beach Kia-Mitsubishi dealership. CBS News reports:

"A disabled Navy veteran was given the surprise of a lifetime on Wednesday — nearly a week after police said the 45-year-old was beaten by three men after he asked them to stop torturing a turtle in Daytona Beach, Florida."

... Has to be a special place reserved in Hell for these three pieces of human excrement.

"Local car dealership Daytona Beach Kia-Mitsubishi gave Gary Blough and his family the keys to a 2012 Kia Forte, which is worth up to $10,000. Richard Nisbett, owner of Daytona Beach Kia-Mitsubishi, said he was touched by Blough’s story and felt compelled to help."

“Here’s a guy that’s trying to stand up for some defenseless animal and he ends up getting beat up,” Nisbett told CBS News. “He was taken to a hospital from a beating that shouldn’t have happened. He had to walk home with his walker — I mean, I just couldn’t take it. I wanted to do whatever I could.”

"Salespeople and customers crowded around Blough as he made his way into the car dealership Wednesday. He was in a wheelchair, wearing an eye patch and wrist braces, and had a cane in hand. Nisbett thanked the man for his brave actions, and both of them got emotional as Blough tested out his new ride. “He was choked up as I was, and just couldn’t have been more appreciative,” Nisbett said. “It just felt like the right thing to do.”

"Blough’s wife, Jennifer, created a GoFundMe page after the incident to help cover medical expenses and pay for a rental car to transport the family and their 1-year-old daughter to and from doctor appointments. “My husband Garry now has to have surgery on his eye,” Jennifer explained. “And another major surgery. He has metal in him from the war in 1991.” Thousands of people rallied around the family, and within 7 days, they had raised more than $32,000."

-- A lesson indeed to be learned, -- for the hopelessly greedy corporate management suite and the rest of the top 1% of the food chain.

“Thanks for helping those who can’t help themselves,” one donor wrote.

“Thank you for helping a defenseless creature,” another added. “You restore my faith in humanity and you deserve the best.”

Here is the worst of it. Man's inhumanity to his fellow man and the sentient creature he desperately tried to save:

"Blough was outside his apartment complex when he said he saw a group of three men torturing a turtle last week, reports CBS affiliate WKMG. One of the men, identified as Johnnie Beveritt, 18, picked up the turtle and threw it down on the sidewalk; the two others, Ryan Ponder, 23, and a 16-year-old whose name was not released, kicked the turtle toward the apartment building, Blough told the news station after the incident. Blough says when he told them to stop, they attacked him. First responders said Blough suffered injuries including broken skull and facial bones, internal bleeding and a concussion. The turtle was later found dead. All three men were charged with aggravated battery and animal cruelty."

Hard to believe these three pieces of human trash were brought up by their parents to commit such horrendous crimes against this man and a defenseless animal.

"Blough said he doesn’t regret standing up for the animal. “I would take the beating I got again if it meant saving that turtle,” Blough told WKMG."

Hat's off, Mr. Blough, as well as to the most generous dealer and all who contributed to the GoFundMe account.

The following is a superb idea that should be seriously considered by law enforcement all over the country. CNN reports:

"Two years ago, Seattle Police Officer Jim Ritter realized his city had a major problem. People weren't reporting hate crimes. He'd hear about them, anecdotally. Some were horrifying incidents. But they weren't showing up on police reports."

"After determining most of these crimes were being committed in the commercial districts throughout the city, (I) had to sit down and figure out what are we going to do about this," Ritter said. He started a program called Safe Place. It's a first-in-the-nation initiative that designates local businesses as a place where victims of hate crimes can shelter while waiting for the police to arrive."

"It's a simple concept based on something he remembered from his childhood -- houses with stickers that signaled to kids walking to school that if something bad happened, they could knock on the door and get help."

Remember? What ever happened to this program? Great for kids. Great for anyone who has been a victim of crime.

"Ritter designed a sticker -- a police shield with the LGBT rainbow symbolism. It goes on the front of any business agreeing to call police if a victim of a hate crime comes inside looking for help. "In this day of communications, everybody just assumes someone else is calling police and we can't afford to have that happen anymore, neither can these victims," Ritter said. Ritter, who is gay, admitted that he never knew so much anti-LGBT crime was going unreported in his own city, where he'd worked as a cop for nearly four decades."

The fact this officer is himself a member of the LGBT community, has four decades of experience, indeed speaks volumes about rampant fear within the LGBT community. Would have thought LGBT victims of crime would have already approached this officer as a highly reliable, trusted liaison to the Department. The fact they hadn't demonstrates profound fear, distrust of not only their abusers, but those in the best position to fight this scourge.

"Now, Safe Place has become so popular, he can barely think about anything else. Police departments across the country are calling, asking for help implementing his program in Cincinnati, Louisville, Birmingham, Durham, Baltimore, Honolulu, Columbus -- and even in Canada in Vancouver, British Columbia."

"Most notably, the Orlando police launched Safe Place on the six-month anniversary of the Pulse Night Club massacre. "I actually feel like I'm making a positive difference in society and not just going through the motions," Ritter said. "I think the majority of police chiefs and administrators that contacted me said, " Hey, Jim, we want to get this right, we don't want to screw this up."

This is a great idea. Especially, since intolerance is slated to grow under the Trump nazi and his henchmen.

"You've got victims from all different kinds of minority communities that have the same thing happen to them. They are assaulted or victimized either because of who they are or who these suspects portray them to be." Here in Seattle, Ritter said two felony assault cases were reported from inside a Safe Place business within the program's first week. "One of those safe place locations, the witnesses were holding a suspect down when police arrived," he said. And police immediately noticed an increase in the reporting of hate crimes. "And that told me that it was starting to work as designed," he said."

Good to see the public courageously beginning to stand up to this crap. Think much of this abuse does not trace its way back to the Trump nazi?

"Aaron Amundsen is one of the victims targeted right after the election in November. He's a Seattle tattoo parlor owner, and he walked out to his car one day to find a wet, wrinkled up note. "I opened it up and thought: Is this a joke? And then it hit me, and I got really upset by it," he said. "It was: 'Hey blank, we won so you better watch your back.' Just a bunch of political and anti LGBTQ slurs. And it was kind of threatening and really spooky."
The note said, "Your days are numbered. Make America straight again to make it great again. You will see." It included two gay slurs."

Equally to the point and exceptionally disturbing is the fact this week there has been renewed egregious anti-Semitic activity throughout the country. More overturned tombstones and threats. Think this doesn't trace back to the Trump nazi and tacit support throughout his regime of the Alt Right?

Another great story of an officer acting heroically, placing himself in danger to save a life. ABC News reports:

"A North Carolina family's dog is alive, thanks to the actions of an off-duty Leland police officer who ran into a burning home to save the animal."

"WWAY-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2mGaUuw) that Sgt. Jonathan Hall kicked down the door of the home Sunday night. He didn't find Kia until after he went back outside to take a breath and saw the dog come through the door he'd kicked open. Two other homes were damaged by the fire that started across the street after a neighbor was burning brush, but single dad John Davidson and his 8-year-old daughter Hali lost everything, including Hali's pet hermit crab and fish. WWAY-TV says the two were on vacation in Florida when the fire broke out."

Wake up, Sheriff. Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office? Forty-five weeks, now. A goddamned disgrace. Why are you still sitting on this information? What are you hiding, Sheriff? What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise? Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons? Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history? An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse. How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Forty-five weeks. Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger. To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff? Those of your thugs? The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down. You don't understand that, Sheriff? Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one. Including taxpayers. Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot. The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt. Think not? Wake up. Your credibility has tanked. Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated. Forty-five weeks. Still no identification of the officers involved ... Can't get your stories straight? In line? There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow. It's time the public be fully informed. -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County. If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be yours courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone. ... Right, Sheriff? TL? "Sonny Boy?" Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why. This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet. Ignored. The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us. They can't be. They've lied too many times. Refuse to be accountable to anyone. We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity. That has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement. This also has to change. No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer. No one. No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar. There was no justice there. None here. None anywhere. Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers. Court fees charged continue to be horrendous. -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs? Aren't you boys not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs? Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit. This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise. Nothing was done. There has to be transparency. There is none. Why would these thieving bastards want any? ... Right, Sheriff? TL? How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity? Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons. Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so. That is, where they came from. Why they left where they were. What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards. Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments. Why? So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated? This has to change. ... Can't have that, can we? Sheriff? TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up. "The police department says the officers are suspended without pay. In the news release, Police Commissioner Kevin Davis says the officers’ crimes “erode trust with our community.” He says that “reform isn’t always a pretty thing to watch unfold,” but vowed it would continue “in our journey toward a police department our city deserves.”

About time. Hold the bastards criminally accountable. This, at a time the Sessions nazi, as U.S. Attorney General, intends to scale back 'Justice' Department lawsuits against criminal police departments.

"The accusations portray officers who stole from taxpayers through time fraud and from citizens they stopped or searched, with at least 10 victims robbed including some who had not committed crimes, officials said. The overtime abuses alleged include one from an officer who claimed it while on vacation in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and another who was in the poker room of a casino and not on the job, according to details released by prosecutors. The alleged robberies included stealing $1,500 from a maintenance man who planned to use the cash for rent and a theft of about $200,000 from a safe and from bags seized at a search location, authorities said. In another instance, one officer accused is accused of helping an associate in a drug conspiracy remove a GPS tracking device placed on the person’s car by the DEA."

"At a news conference, Baltimore Police Chief Kevin Davis called the allegations “heinous acts” and said the officers charged are “1930s-style gangsters as far as I’m concerned.”

"An "extraordinary" effort by the new U.S. administration prevented former CIA officer Sabrina de Sousa from being the first ever extradited for an alleged CIA misdeed, according to her spokesman. De Sousa, who was set to be extradited from Portugal to Italy over the kidnapping of a Muslim cleric, won a last-minute reprieve on Wednesday. Sabrina de Sousa was one of 26 people convicted in absentia for the 2003 abduction of radical Egyptian cleric Osama Mustapha Hassan Nasr, also known as Abu Omar. He was then transported to his native Egypt for interrogation where he says he was tortured."

No justice for this convicted criminal. She'll wind up likely doing some community service. Somewhere. Where? Allegedly, to be arranged.

In follow up to a case of egregious police malfeasance covered in an earlier edition, NBC News reports:

"The Punta Gorda, Florida police chief and one of his officers have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a retiree during a training exercise — a tragedy that made national headlines last year. Officer Lee Coel, who is accused of firing the fatal shot that killed 73-year-old Mary Knowlton, is charged with felony manslaughter with a firearm. He faces up to 30 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted. His boss, Chief Tom Lewis, is charged with culpable negligence, a misdemeanor. He could get 60 days in jail if he's found guilty."

"Knowlton, a retired librarian, was taking part in a citizen police academy "shoot/don't shoot" exercise when she was struck by a live round while almost three dozen other participants looked on."

This is a case that is complicated by the fact it could have been prevented. Worse? Coel had a history of malfeasance that was ignored.

"Coel was using a revolver that had been used before in these drills and Lewis said in the aftermath of the shooting "we were unaware that any live ammunition existed for this kind of weapon. We thought only blanks were available." Three months after Knowlton was killed, the city approved a $2 million settlement with her surviving family."

"Even before the shooting, Coel had been a controversial figure in his department. In October 2015, dash cam video recorded a man named Richard Schumacher being mauled by Coel's police dog for at least two minutes during an arrest. Schumacher received a $70,000 settlement from the city, which also paid his $130,000 medical bills, his lawyer Scott Weinberg said. "We so sorry for the Knowlton family," Weinberg said. "This was a preventable tragedy. If this officer had been taken off the street after the Schumacher and other numerous incidents, this would never have happened."

'Stand your ground laws' can be one hell of a problem. Get this. ABC News reports:

"Vivian Reeves was emotional as she testified Wednesday before a judge at her husband's hearing in Florida, attesting that her husband, Curtis Reeves, a retired Tampa police captain, had his head in his hands after he shot a fellow moviegoer over a disagreement about a cellphone in January 2014."

Amazing how such a goddamned stupid, nonsensical issue can result in someone's death:

"Curtis Reeves is accused of fatally shooting Chad Oulson. The shooting allegedly happened after Oulson threw popcorn at the Reeves for being told to put away his cellphone during the movie's previews."

"It happened very quickly, and [Oulson's] whole upper body just came forward, and I thought that he was coming over,” Vivian Reeves testified."

"If a Pasco County, Florida, judge determines that Reeves was acting in self-defense and his case meets Florida's "stand your ground" law criteria, he will be immune from criminal prosecution and civil action in connection with the deadly shooting, according to The Associated Press. If not, he will be tried on a second-degree murder charge for the death of Oulson."

Even if this gutless piece of shit is exonerated, he has to live with this murder the rest of his life.

Police need far better training. Far better vetting both before and during employment. ABC News reports:

"An off-duty California officer fired his weapon in a confrontation with a group of teens Tuesday afternoon in an incident that was captured on video. In the wake of the encounter, the officer has been placed on administrative leave, according to the LAPD."

Special treatment. The jackbooted bastards in blue are nearly always given benefit of the doubt. Not so, their victims.

"The officer is cooperating with the ongoing investigation and will not be arrested at this time, Anaheim police said. After the investigation is complete, the case will be forwarded to the Orange County District Attorney's Office."

Where it will likely be rubber stamped in favor of the jackbooted thug. Special treatment not afforded his victims. He's believed by his colleagues. Taken at his word. Not so, his victims.

"The encounter began in front of the officer's Anaheim home stemming from ongoing issues with juveniles walking across his property, the Anaheim Police Department said in a press release."

"Anaheim police said a 13-year-old boy allegedly threatened to shoot the officer, who then attempted to detain the boy until police arrived, sparking a physical confrontation. But the boy's mother disputes that -- saying her son said he was going to sue, not shoot, the officer."

Is there audio? If not, why should the cop be taken at his word? They lie all the time to cover their ass. Justify egregious malfeasance.

"In the video, which was posted on YouTube and later removed, the off-duty cop can be seen grabbing the 13-year-old by his backpack. A group of teens surrounds the pair as they argue. At one point, the 13-year-old falls with the officer, who then attempts to drag the 13-year-old across a manicured hedge separating two homes, according to the video."

"When cops arrived, the officer admitted to discharging his firearm, police said. No one was injured by the gunfire. Two teens were arrested -- one on charges of criminal threats and battery and another for assault and battery, police said."

The cop gets a free pass. Why wouldn't he? Forget? We live in a goddamned fascist police-state. They take the word of the jackbooted thug over that of other witnesses at the scene. The American Way.

"An Anaheim woman, who claims to be the 13-year-old's mother, described the video as "devastating" and "disturbing" on Facebook. "I want prevention," she wrote. "No one called the police. The two adults in the video wanted to take matter[s] into their own hands." She wrote that she and her son have retained an attorney and requested that anyone with additional footage to come forward."

No one should have been arrested until police conducted and concluded a bona fide investigation. Instead, they believed the jackbooted thug. Arrested the kid. If the kid is indeed innocent, sue the living shit out of the thug, his department, and the city. When taxpayers get tired of repeatedly financing settlements, this shit will end.

"The Los Angeles Police Department has named the officer who was angry with teens walking on his yard and discharged a gun during a scuffle with them outside his home in suburban Anaheim. Police spokesman Captain Andy Neiman said Monday Officer Kevin Ferguson is back on the job but not working the streets. Officials tell the Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/2m2ww7n) that Ferguson works at the Hollywood Division but did not provide details of his assignment."

"A 19-year-old white man accused of kicking a coat hanger up the rectum of a mentally disabled black teammate received no jail time at his sentencing on Friday. Former high school football player John R. K. Howard entered a so-called "Alford plea," meaning he maintains his innocence while admitting a judge or jury would likely find him guilty. He was sentenced to probation and community service, and his conviction might be entirely dismissed at a later date."

"The Twin Falls Times-News writes that supporters of the black player see the sentencing as "a slap on the wrist for a privileged white teen who preyed on a disabled teammate from the only black family in town."

"Howard, who pleaded guilty to felony injury of a child, had originally been charged with sexual assault. But prosecutors later decided that, while they were confident they could prove Howard kicked the coat hanger into his teammate's rectum, the act did not constitute a sex crime. District Judge Randy Stoker agreed, and approved the plea deal for a lesser charge in December."

Not a sex crime? A compadre inserts the coat hanger up the rectum of the victim and this f--ked up, perverse son of a bitch then gives it a swift kick, -- and it is not considered a sex crime?

"On Friday, as he issued the final sentencing, he also discounted testimony of racist remarks toward the black player and concluded that the assault was not racially motivated."

"The Guardian has more on the specific allegation of assault, which began with an invitation for a hug:

"'Pain that I have never felt took over my body,' he said during the April hearing, according to the transcript obtained by the Guardian. 'I screamed, but afterwards, I kept it to myself.'"

"We should note that the mentally disabled young man has referred to his teammates as his "friends" throughout the case, even while testifying about racist comments and physical abuse."

"A police cruiser with two officers in it signaled for their car to pull over. Collins, then 64, worried that he was about to get a ticket. "At the time, [the officer] said, 'I'm not the ticket police,' and I said, 'OK — I'm good with that,'" he chuckled as he told me this part of the story. But if he wasn't being pulled over for a moving violation, why were the police stopping him?"

"The officer took his identification, went back to the cruiser and returned a few minutes later. They told the couple they were free to go. They did not receive a citation, summons or explanation."

"Collins, a Milwaukeean for most of his life, had been stopped by the Milwaukee police before, as had his son, whom he described as a straight arrow. For black men here, he says, encounters with the police are a rite of passage. "That shouldn't be your normal, but that's what it was," Collins said."

"Collins was unnerved enough by those stops that he joined a lawsuit filed this week by the ACLU against the city's police department. The civil liberties group argues that these police stops were baseless and unconstitutional and targeted black and Latino men. They pointed to available records for police stops in Milwaukee from 2010 to 2012 and found that officers there had made hundreds of thousands of stops of pedestrians or motorists. The majority — 72 percent — were stops of black non-Hispanic people. (The city's population is about 34 percent black non-Hispanic, according to the most recent census data.)"

"In most instances of stop-and-frisk, officers canvass certain neighborhoods to stop and question pedestrians and motorists they deem suspicious; if the officers suspect the person they stopped is carrying contraband, like drugs or guns, they can proceed to frisk them."

"Nusrat Choudhury, a lawyer with the ACLU, said that there was often no reason cited for the stops in the written reports that officers filed. Choudhury said that police records show that few police stops ended in frisks, which is "what raises the red flags that innocent people are being stopped and questioned."

"The ACLU's lawsuit calls for an end of stop-and-frisk by the Milwaukee Police Department."

Police Chief Kevin Vogel and Assistant Chief Dan Flippo said at a news conference that the federal officials lied when they assured them a Feb. 13 joint operation in the region would not include immigration-related arrests during the raid on the gang known by the names MS-13 and Mara Salvatrucha."

"Flippo said he didn't learn of the immigration arrests until the next night when dozens of protesters disrupted a City Council meeting to voice their displeasure."

"Vogel said the department no longer trusts the Department of Homeland Security, which includes ICE, and will no longer work with the agency. "We can't cooperate with a law enforcement agency we cannot trust," Vogel said."

Sadly, a lack of trust in all law enforcement is exponentially increasing across the country. With damned good reason. They lie, cheat, steal, abuse, and murder on the job. Not all of them, but way too many.

"Officials in Los Angeles have asked Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents working in the city not to identify themselves as police. In a letter addressed to the ICE deputy field office director who handles immigration enforcement, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, City Attorney Mike Feuer, and president of the city council Herb Wesson wrote:

"In Los Angeles, the term 'police' is synonymous with the Los Angeles Police Department, so for ICE agents to represent themselves as police misleads the public into believing they are interacting with LAPD. This is especially corrosive given that to advance public safety, the LAPD does not initiate police action with the objective of determining a person's immigration status."

Fascinating, isn't it? At least some local law enforcement is beginning to wake up.

There is growing resistance by law enforcement to enforce federal immigration law. CBS News reports:

"The White House has spelled out its new guidelines for attacking illegal immigration, but it’s still unclear how authorities will target and deport people who are living in the U.S. illegally. CBS News correspondent Carter Evans went directly to the front lines of the nation’s border wars to see how local law enforcement in Arizona is handling the issue. The sheriff in Pima County is welcoming the president’s plan to immediately hire 5,000 more border patrol agents. But the White House is also asking for immigration enforcement on a local level. In Pima County, they say they’ve already got their hands full."

Interesting, isn't it? Especially, coming from a sheriff in a Republican state.

"Mark Napier is Pima County’s newly-elected Republican sheriff. “That’s not a problem for a local sheriff. My responsibility is public safety in this county,” Napier said."

"The Department of Homeland Security is now asking local law enforcement to go a step further by voluntarily acting as an “’immigration officer’ for purposes of enforcing federal immigration law.”

Goddamned unconstitutional bullshit. Cleverly, designed to further consolidate Executive power, extend the fascist police-state we already live in. Establish The Fourth Reich.

“We have our plate full. Our jail is nearly full, and I don’t have excess deputies,” Napier said. Napier’s 500 sworn officers protect roughly a million residents across 9,000 square miles along the southern border. But even if he had more resources, he still said it’s the federal government’s job."

“If your deputies are viewed as immigration enforcers, how does that impact their ability to do their job?” Carter asked. “First of all, we wouldn’t get a lot of the calls we get where people witness crimes or are victims of crime…out of fear that would lead to deportation,” Napier said."

This is the issue. Heart of the matter. Cooperating with federal goons as proxy immigration officers, local law enforcement would lose all credibility. Crimes against the undocumented would go unreported. Leading to an increase in crime across the board.

It's not like the Sheriff and his officers are not already cooperating with ICE, however:

"So unless there’s a federal mandate ordering them to take undocumented immigrants into custody, the Pima County sheriff’s department will continue to turn them over to border patrol."

In addition to the above, consider the following regarding NYPD's stance. ABC News reports:

"The Trump administration’s pursuit of unauthorized immigrants may have hit a wall in New York City. City Police Commissioner James O’Neill told officers in an internal memo that the department would not enforce administrative warrants issued by federal immigration agents."

"It is critical that everyone who comes into contact with the NYPD, regardless of their immigration status, be able to identify themselves or seek assistance without hesitation, anxiety or fear," O’Neill wrote in the memo obtained by ABC News."

Again, this is the problem. Would lead to crimes against the undocumented going unreported, uninvestigated.

"The NYPD does not conduct civil immigration enforcement," the memo to rank-and-file officers said. "Specifically, this department does not enforce administrative warrants issued by Immigration and Custom Enforcement agents or federal immigration judges solely in connection with civil immigration violations.”

This is reasonable, prudent policy. Certainly, in the best interest of all involved. That is, police, the undocumented, as well as the general public who would see an increase in crime that would go uninvestigated.

"O’Neill’s memo doesn’t represent any change in NYPD policy. But in light of a federal plan for more aggressive immigration enforcement, New York City’s police commissioner wanted to clarify his department’s policy, both to alleviate any concerns in the city’s immigrant communities and to remind police officers, sources told ABC News."

"Still, the NYPD policy may put the nation’s largest police force at odds with the federal Department of Homeland Security, which this week outlined a more aggressive approach to enforcing the nation’s immigration laws."

Local law enforcement who refuse to cooperate with ICE are not the only ones at risk. Church pastors and their flock could wind up being prosecuted for aiding and abetting the undocumented. CNN reports:

"The purchase of this home is part of a network formed by Los Angeles religious leaders across faiths in the wake of Donald Trump's election. The intent is to shelter hundreds, possibly thousands of undocumented people in safe houses across Southern California."

"The goal is to offer another sanctuary beyond religious buildings or schools, ones that require federal authorities to obtain warrants before entering the homes."

The Fourth Amendment requires probable cause and a warrant. Should extend everywhere, but sadly doesn't. Forget? The jackbooted pieces of shit, with the help of bought and paid for 'judges' on the bench, have indeed bastardized the Constitution, including the Bill of Rights over many decades. This country is no longer what it once was.

"At another Los Angeles neighborhood miles away, a Jewish man shows off a sparsely decorated spare bedroom in his home. White sheets on the bed and the clean, adjacent full bathroom bear all the markers of an impending visit. The man, who asked not to be identified, pictures an undocumented woman and her children who may find refuge in his home someday."

"The man says he's never been in trouble before and has difficulty picturing that moment. But he's well educated and understands the Fourth Amendment, which gives people the right to be secure in their homes, against unreasonable searches and seizures. He's pictured the moment if ICE were to knock on his door. "I definitely won't let them in. That's our legal right," he says. "If they have a warrant, then they can come in. I can imagine that could be scary, but I feel the consequences of being passive in this moment is a little scary."

"Under federal law, locations like churches and synagogues are technically public spaces that authorities could enter to conduct law enforcement actions. In 2011, the Department of Homeland Security instituted a policy limiting ICE action at religious locations. The policy ordered ICE to not enter "sensitive locations" like schools and institutions of worship."

"Chicago Public Schools officials plan on denying Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents entry into district buildings without a criminal warrant. A memo was sent to Chicago principals this week that positioned CPS as a roadblock to ICE’s mission to enforce federal laws governing border control, customs, trade and immigration."

This will likely spark confrontation which will have to be settled in the courts.

“To be very clear, CPS does not provide assistance to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the enforcement of federal civil immigration law,” a memo issued Tuesday says, CNN reported. “Therefore, ICE should not be permitted access to CPS facilities or personnel except in the rare instance in which we are provided with a criminal warrant.”

"Chicago Chief Education Officer Janice Jackson’s instructions added that schools should be “a safe place for all students regardless of their race, ethnicity or country of origin.” School officials who are confronted by ICE agents are to notify the school system’s legal representatives and have agents “wait outside while the school is reviewing the matter with the Law Department.”

The law allowing jackbooted bastards into churches, schools, etc., without probable cause and a warrant, remains egregiously unconstitutional. Needs to be aggressively challenged in court.

"The immigrant community in southeast Baltimore has had its defenses up before, having been through the Obama administration's arrests of Central Americans early last year."

"Graybill is volunteering to join help immigrants, their families and community when Trump's crackdown on immigration strikes in their neighborhoods. She and some 150 or more people attended a training session organized by CASA, an immigration advocacy group, last week to learn how to witness and document arrests of immigrants, assist immigrants in asserting their rights during arrest, help get information and photos out on those who are arrested and help spread factual information about where ICE is conducting arrests."

Not all Republicans remain achingly clueless. Consider the following. ABC News reports:

"California Republican Rep. Darrell Issa said a special prosecutor is needed to investigate into Russia's alleged meddling in the 2016 presidential election. Bill Maher asked Issa during an interview on his show "Real Time" about reports that members of President Trump's campaign had contact with Russian officials."

"When Maher then pushed Issa on the need for an independent investigation, the California Republican agreed that a special prosecutor is necessary. The investigation shouldn't be overseen by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who was appointed by the president and was active in Trump's campaign, Issa said."

He's right. Clearly, ranks principle above partisanship. When will all his colleagues finally wake up?

"You cannot have somebody -- a friend of mine, Jeff Sessions -- who was on the campaign and who is an appointee," Issa said. "You're going to need to use the special prosecutor's statute and office."

That's right. Needs to be thoroughly investigated by an independent, unbiased prosecutor.

"But he said, "The American people are beginning to understand that Putin ... is a bad guy ... We need to investigate [the Russian leader's] activities and we need to do it because they are bad people."

Janet Nguyen was silenced in the California Senate. CBS News reports:

Tom Hayden for his leadership role in the anti-Vietnam War movement of the 1960s. Republican Sen. She spoke during a portion of the Senate session reserved for memorializing people who have died, and the presiding senator told security to remove her Thursday. Several sergeants-at-arms surrounded Nguyen and gently nudged her toward the door. Nguyen dodged them and continued yelling passages from her speech for nearly a minute as the presiding Democrat repeatedly told her to stop."

“I have every right to speak on behalf of the 500,000” Vietnamese-Americans living in California, Nguyen yelled before leaving the chamber as another senator said her comments were disrespectful and inappropriate."

"Nguyen, the first Vietnamese-American woman elected to the California Legislature, was born in Saigon and fled with her family on a small wooden boat, according to her legislative biography. After passing through a series of refugee camps, her family arrived in California in 1981."

How many others were shamelessly left behind when the United States fled in defeat in 1975? ... South Vietnamese, loyal to the United States.

"Hayden was a student radical in the 1960s and helped organize protests against the war. He later became a legislator and elder statesman of the country’s left. He died in October, and the Senate held a memorial for him Tuesday."

Had it not been for radicals like Hayden and many others, that war would likely have continued for decades. Approximately 58,000 of our best and brightest were killed in action. Thousands more, maimed. All for nothing. To line the pockets of the bastards in the corporate management suite and shareholders. Blood money. For a war that never could have been won. The North Vietnamese and Viet Cong would never have given up.

"According to a written copy of Nguyen’s speech provided by her office, she planned to say that Hayden “sided with a communist government that enslaved and/or killed millions of Vietnamese, including members of my own family.”

It was outrageous, not only to the Right but the Left as well, when Hayden's former wife, Jane Fonda, traitorously sat her ass on a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun. How many of our pilots were shot down and died, or were imprisoned and tortured for years at the 'Hanoi Hilton?'

Her behavior was egregiously inexcusable. Treasonous. It is one thing to protest a war here in the United States. Another to protest it in enemy territory. Doing it here takes guts. Can get one killed or maimed. Doing it in enemy territory is treason. She certainly paid for that treason in terms of stress and abject terror.

Can still remember her giving a speech and being confronted by the American Legion at a university I had graduated from. She was petrified, extremely anxious, terrified. Yet, went on with the speech. She has never been forgiven for her treasonous faux pas. Sitting on that enemy gun was not only treasonous, but stupid. She forfeited all credibility. Did incredible damage to the anti-war movement.

The way to react to offensive speech is not to muzzle it. It is to verbally, but peacefully confront it. Both sides. Both parties. All ideologies.

Republicans are shitting on the First Amendment. The Washington Post reports:

"Since the election of President Trump, Republican lawmakers in at least 18 states have introduced or voted on legislation to curb mass protests in what civil liberties experts are calling “an attack on protest rights throughout the states.”

This is traitorous abrogation of their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution. These goddamned gutless GOP fascists can't handle dissent. Won't tolerate it. Represent an exigent threat to all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Media that's fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties needs to be supported financially and morally by the public it truly serves at great personal and financial risk. The public needs to wake up. Fully understand the Trump nazi and his henchmen remain an exigent threat to a democratic republic.

Indeed, the damage done by feral hogs is horrendous. These animals do need to be killed, -- for food. Not just shot and left to decay. Especially, at a time where consumers are looted at the supermarket, food banks have shortages. This insanity will worsen:

Just as concerning, he said, were difficulties in preventing other species from eating the poison — which is known to paralyze chickens, make rats vomit and kill all manner of animals."

"The EPA regulations — which Texas plans to strengthen by licensing warfarin’s use — requires hogs to be fed the poison out of bins with 10-pound lids. The lid tactic won’t work, Campbell said. Before retiring from government research a few years ago, he saw a study in which raccoons lifted much heavier lids in search of food. “The wildlife community at large has reasons to have concerns,” he said. Some people are worried in Louisiana, where officials are considering using warfarin on the state’s population of feral hogs. “We do have very serious concerns about non-target species,” state wildlife veterinarian Jim LaCour told the Times-Picayune. Even if only hogs can get to the bait, LaCour said, “they’re going to drop crumbs on the outside.” Those crumbs might then be eaten by rodents, which might be eaten by birds, and thus warfarin could spread throughout the ecosystem."

Yet, despite all the above, Texas considers plans to go ahead. Expect far more of the same as the Trump nazi and his henchmen eviscerate regulations, -- to line the pockets of their corporate cronies and the top 1% of the food chain.

The pharmaceutical community continues to gouge the sick and dying. CBS News reports:

"More than 29 million Americans live with diabetes, and for some six million of them, insulin is a life or death medication."

"Between 2002 and 2013, the price of insulin more than tripled, to more than $700 per patient. A federal lawsuit accuses the three insulin manufacturers of conspiring to raise their prices. The drug makers deny the allegations."

"Those high prices, combined with rising insurance deductibles, mean many people who rely on insulin are feeling sticker shock. Even doctors say without a way to pay, some patients are left facing impossible choices, reports CBS News correspondent Anna Werner."

"Like 74-year-old Kathleen Washington. Some months, her insulin runs over $300 a month – more than she can afford. “I must pay my mortgage,” Washington said. If it’s a choice between the mortgage and the insulin, “It’s going to be the mortgage,” she said."

Ever hear of Dr. Larry Nassar? This son of a bitch has been in the news quite some time. NBC News reports:

"The Michigan doctor accused of molesting dozens of former patients was hit Wednesday with a slew of new sex-abuse charges — the latest development in a scandal that has rocked the Olympic gymnastics world and one of America's biggest universities. "This guy is disgusting. This guy is despicable," Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette said as he announced the new charges against Dr. Larry Nassar. "He is a monster."

"Schuette filed 22 counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree linked to nine victims; two were under age 13 when they were allegedly abused. Nassar's attorneys declined to comment on the new charges. "Dr. Nassar preyed on these young girls, just little girls," Schuette said. "Dr. Nassar used his status and authority to engage in horrid sexual assaults under the guise of medical procedures." In graphic detail, the court documents outline how Nassar, without gloves or permission, allegedly penetrated the girls with his fingers at his office and a local gym."

"Police said more than 80 women and girls have filed complaints against Nassar and more accusers are coming forward by the day, and Schuette asked anyone who thinks they were abused to contact authorities. He said there will "absolutely" be more charges as police work their way through the mountain of reports."

"Last week, a Michigan judge ordered Nassar to stand trial on a charge of molesting a family friend, starting when she was 6 years old, after a preliminary hearing where the victim described how he turned games of hide-and-seek into abuse sessions. "Almost every time I was there, for a couple of years, something occurred," the woman, now 25, testified as Nassar sat stone-faced in striped jail garb."

"He is being held without bail on federal charges of possession of child pornography: at least 37,000 images and GoPro video that allegedly showed him groping girls in a pool. Last week, he was indicted on a new federal charge of trying to destroy evidence for allegedly erasing and trashing hard drives that were found in a garbage bin only because sanitation pickup ran late."

How can this go on for years and no one knows other than the victims? Especially, in the last two decades when this problem has come front and center?

"Some lawsuits also name famed coaches Bela and Marta Karolyi because abuse allegedly took place under their watch at their Texas training facility, known as "the ranch." The Karolyis deny any role in or knowledge of abuse and said they were unaware of complaints against Nassar until recently."

"More than 60 women have filed complaints so far, and some believe that number may reach into the hundreds. Now, for the first time, three former members of U.S. national teams, one an Olympic medalist, describe – in what you should be warned is disturbing detail –the treatment they received from Dr. Lawrence Nassar – a man they trusted and felt so comfortable with, they called him, “Larry.”

"Jamie Dantzscher: He would put his fingers inside of me and move my leg around. He would tell me I was going to feel a pop. And that that would put my hips back and help my back pain.

"Jessica Howard: I was 15 years old and I had a hip problem. A very severe hip problem. And USA Gymnastics suggested that I go to the Karolyi Ranch to work with their doctor."

"The Karolyi ranch outside Houston, Texas, is a mecca for elite gymnasts who have given up any semblance of normal childhood to pursue their Olympic dreams. Run by the legendary coaches Bela and Martha Karolyi, it’s where members of the U.S. national team for artistic gymnastics come roughly once a month for several days of intensive training. The girls stayed in cabins on the property, and Dr. Nassar would be there to provide medical treatment."

The above is precisely why it's difficult to believe the Karolyis didn't know what was going on.

"Jessica Howard: He started massaging me. And-- he had asked me not to wear any underwear. And then he just continued to go into more and more intimate places.

"Jon LaPook: And when that happened, what, what was going through your head?

"Jessica Howard: I remember thinking something was off but I didn’t feel like I was able to say anything because he was, you know, this very high-profile doctor. And I was very lucky to be at the ranch working with him."

The above sound like proper osteopathic medical practice? No nurse or other chaperone present? What does that tell you? Must not be forgotten these women were kids when this abuse occurred. Where were their parents?

"Dr. Nassar has pled not guilty to the charges against him in Michigan. In a statement from his lawyers, he has defended his treatment as legitimate. There is a rare therapy for back and hip pain where specialists massage areas inside the vagina. But for a minor, it’s expected such a procedure should involve a chaperone and use of a glove."

webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys. The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere. Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Uptown Sound Studio, Marble Falls, TX. A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright. She has, indeed, been promoted to branch manager. Reverse Darwinism. Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The name of this publication was changed some ten years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril. The reason? Simple. Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade. Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication. Either through advertising or other financial support. Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it? Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however. Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags. Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up. Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity. On a rampage. Thus, you get what you truly deserve. Always. Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate. -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area. Ten years after originally intending to do so. Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues. Another reason for this publication name change. Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed. Can't be ignored. That's where you come in dear readers. Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up. Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day. These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem. No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked. It's time to stand up. Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight. Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb. From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain. Wake up. Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen. After all, you're bought and paid for. Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters. The corporate management suite. Your employers. Think not? Wake up. You're human chattel. Corporate-owned, bought and paid for. Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor. Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision. To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day. You have no control of your lives. You're owned. Forget? For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits. At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys. Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit. To line County coffers. Keep the peasants in line and under control. A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril. Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority. Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are. Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication? Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country. Insult to injury? There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway. No matter the effort. No matter the research. No matter the proof. Wake up. This writer cannot do it alone. Snowball's chance in hell. Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded. Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy. Literally.

Cannot do it alone. Impossible. Not sustainable. This publication needs your financial and material support. Both. Time to step up.

Click herefor a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
