Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable. Time to step up.  Now.

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Four hundred ten weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Hey, Sheriff?  Reportedly, promote Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 to Sergeant?  If true, yet another classic example of survival of the unfittest in the law enforcement community.  Readers are reminded this is the very same idiot, clueless asshole responsible for thousands of dollars of damage to the Pace Arrow as reported in each edition of this publication.  Far more to Kingsland property owner James Berardi in a property dispute.  -- A dispute engineered by Johnny Greene, apparently financed by a bribe to the former County Attorney, current District Attorney, and Sheriff.  A federal investigation of Llano County government and the aforementioned allegedly corrupt and abusive bastards in this ongoing fiasco is desperately needed.  Tim Chorney.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information?  Four hundred ten weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Four hundred ten weeks.  Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Uncommon Valor.  In follow-up to the Navalny murder, The Washington Post reports:

"Thousands of Russians who risked arrest Friday to attend the Moscow funeral of opposition leader Alexei Navalny were thwarted by a huge force of riot police, deployed to ensure that President Vladimir Putin’s charismatic rival was buried with as little fanfare as possible. But the throngs of supporters who braved the security presence sent a powerful message that many Russians still support Navalny’s vision of a free, democratic Russia — and showed his pivotal role as a man who fearlessly defied Putin from prison, even as the Russian leader led his nation into war with Ukraine and a new era of repression and intolerance."

Uncommon Valor.

"Navalny, a formidable opponent who fired up a generation of young Russians with his slogan “Russia will be free,” died Feb. 16 in prison at age 47, with an official investigation declaring that his death was due to “natural causes.” His widow, Yulia Navalnaya, and aides have accused Putin of his “murder,” while many Western leaders have said Putin was responsible."

The following is indeed stunning:

"Navalny’s supporters, blocked from entering the church by riot police and metal security barriers, applauded and chanted “Navalny! Navalny!” as his hearse arrived for the farewell service. Inside Mother of God Soothe My Sorrows Church, the service was carried out with what supporters said was unseemly haste. After his mother had paid her respects, staff brusquely closed his coffin, even as those present pleaded to be allowed to say a proper farewell, according to Russian outlet Verstka. “Please let me say goodbye! Well, please, don’t close the coffin!” mourners in the church pleaded with the funeral agents, according to a video posted by RusNews. “He is dear to us! Please, let us say goodbye!” Among the few allowed in the church were Navalny’s parents, Anatoly Navalny and Lyudmila Navalnaya, the latter having endured an eight-day ordeal to recover her son’s body from a morgue in the Arctic town of Salekhard. Officials there had threatened that unless she agreed to a small private burial, they would allow the body to decompose or bury it at the Polar Wolf prison, where Navalny died, she said at the time."

Sadly:

"Navalny’s widow Yulia, daughter Daria, son Zakhar and brother Oleg, as well as members of his political team, could not attend Friday’s funeral as they live abroad for security reasons. Both his widow and mother had expressed their firm wish for an open funeral, with Yulia Navalnaya insistent that his supporters have the chance to say farewell in the traditional way, placing flowers on his coffin. But authorities erected hundreds of metal security barriers, blockading the entrance to the church and nearby Borisovsky Cemetery, preventing the crowd from entering or placing flowers during the church service or graveside burial. As Navalny’s body was lowered into the ground, a funeral band played Frank Sinatra’s “My Way,” followed by the theme of the movie “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” one of Navalny’s favorites. A few of the thousands of citizens who flocked to the cemetery were later admitted and allowed to toss earth on the casket, but Navalny ally Ruslan Shaveddinov said the bulk of the crowd was blocked by police, “and it looks like the bigger part of people won’t be able to say goodbye today.”

Get this:

"The contrast between Navalny’s rushed funeral, attended by ardent supporters, and Putin’s grandiose state-of-the-nation address a day earlier could not have been starker. The Russian president stood alone on a vast stage as the country’s supreme leader and spoke for about two hours to an audience of Russia’s elite, many of whom appeared to struggle to stay awake."

Not surprising, is it?  LOL.

The following is truly heartrending:

"Navalny’s widow bid farewell to him Friday in an Instagram message, saying, “Thank you for 26 years of absolute happiness. Yes, even the last three years of happiness,” referring to his imprisonment on returning to the country in 2021 after recovering in Germany from poisoning by Russian security agents. She remembered that he made her laugh “even from prison,” and “you always thought about me.” Navalnaya, who has vowed to carry on his political work to oppose Putin and build a free, liberal Russia, wrote that she would do her best to make him happy and proud. “I don't know if I can handle it or not, but I will try.” She ended her message, “Love you forever. Rest in peace.”

Uncommon Valor.  Placed herself at great risk.  Very best in humanity.  Stands tall.  Something we as Americans used to do.  Now, we gutlessly ignore the Trump nazi and the corrupt and abusive future this autocrat offers.  No greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

More of the same.  Never ends.

In follow-up to a case covered earlier here and elsewhere, ABC News reports:

"The family of an exonerated Georgia man, who was fatally shot by a sheriff's deputy in October, filed a $16 million federal lawsuit on Tuesday and claimed excessive force was used during the encounter. Leonard Allan Cure was fatally shot by Sheriff's Deputy Buck Aldridge during a traffic stop on Oct. 16, 2023. The 53-year-old was killed three years after he was exonerated in an armed robbery case. Cure had spent 16 years in a Florida prison after being wrongfully convicted in 2003, according to the criminal justice organization The Innocence Project, and in 2020, he became the first person exonerated by Broward County's Conviction Review Unit. An investigation is still ongoing by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney Keith Higgins has not yet made a decision to file criminal charges against Aldridge."

Why the delay?  Protecting and coddling the jackbooted son of a bitch in law enforcement?

"Aldridge was placed on administrative leave  while the GBI investigates Cure's death, according to The Associated Press. "My brother deserved better than what he received in Camden County," Cure's brother, Michael Cure, said during a press conference on Tuesday morning in Brunswick, Georgia, where the family gathered with their attorney, Harry Daniels, and local NAACP leaders to announce the lawsuit. "I believe I can speak for my family when we say that we are overwhelmed and we are outraged," he added."

For damned good reason.  Think this shit will ever end?

"The lawsuit, which was filed in the Southern District of Georgia – Brunswick division, names Aldridge as well as Jim Proctor, Sheriff of Camden County, Georgia. The complaint, which was obtained by ABC News, claims that "Proctor failed to terminate, discipline or retain deputies/detention officers  within his office and control, that he knew or reasonably should have known have a propensity of violence and unlawful use of force." "This case is directly against Jim Proctor. And I told you all before – this is not just a bad apple," Daniels said, referring to Aldridge. "This is a bad orchard and today we are bringing accountability to the apple and orchard." Capt. Larry Bruce, a spokesman for the Camden County Sheriff's Office, told the Associated Press in a statement on Tuesday that the sheriff’s office does not comment on pending litigation, adding that Proctor has not yet retained an attorney in the civil case. ABC News reached out to Bruce for further comment."

No transparency.  No credibility.  How can law enforcement be trusted?

"The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in a statement on Oct. 16. 2023 that the Camden County Sheriff's Office requested that GBI conduct an independent investigation into the incident and once complete, the case file will be sent to the Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office for review. Asked about the status of the probe on Tuesday, GBI told ABC News on Tuesday that the "investigation has been given to the District Attorney's office." ABC News reached out to the DA's office, but requests for comment were not immediately returned. Adrienne Browning, an attorney who represents Aldridge amid the GBI probe, declined to comment on the federal lawsuit, with her office telling ABC News that she does not represent Aldridge in the civil case. Efforts to reach Aldridge directly were unsuccessful and it is unclear if Aldridge has retained an attorney to represent him in the civil matter."

Here's what went down:

"A Camden County sheriff's deputy initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 95 Northbound on Oct. 16 2023 at around 7:30 a.m. where the driver, later identified as Leonard Cure, got out of his car at the deputy's request, according to a GBI statement outlining preliminary information. "Cure complied with the officer's commands until learning that he was under arrest. After not complying with the deputy's requests, the deputy tased Cure. Cure assaulted the deputy. The deputy used the Taser for a second time and an ASP baton; however, Cure still did not comply. The deputy pulled out his gun and shot Cure," the statement said. Body camera footage of the incident released on Oct. 18, 2023, shows the back and forth between Cure and the sheriff's deputy and the altercation that followed."

Get this:

"Video shows Cure getting out of the car following the deputy's request and then the deputy, who was later identified as Buck Aldridge, can be heard asking him to put his hands on the back of the vehicle, to which Cure complies. As Cure questions why he was stopped, Aldridge can be heard threatening to tase Cure if he doesn't put his hands behind his back. "Why? Why am I getting tased?" Cure said. "Because you are under arrest for speeding and reckless driving," Aldridge responded. Cure denied speeding and the officer insisted Cure "was doing 100 miles an hour."

A jackbooted bastard in uniform would never lie, would he?  LOL.

"Cure's hands appear to still be placed on the back of the vehicle as he argues with the deputy. Moments later during the argument, Cure said, "I'm not going to jail," and Aldridge responded, "Yes, you're going to jail." It is then that Cure lifts an arm up from the vehicle and Aldridge then uses his Taser on Cure, the video shows. The sheriff's deputy asks him to put his hands behind his back and Cure turns around and approaches Aldridge, where the video shows the two appearing to engage in a physical altercation during which Aldridge tries to use his baton and Cure appears to push back, holding down Aldridge's face and then Aldridge pulls out his gun and shoots Cure. After Cure falls to the ground, Aldridge places handcuffs on him and blood can be seen on the floor. When his body is turned around, blood can be seen on the right side of his back. EMT's were called to the scene but Cure died of his injuries. "When they want to use excessive force there – you have other parts of the body you can shoot. You don't have to always kill somebody," Mary Cure, Leonard Allan Cure's mother, said on Tuesday."

That's right.  Sadly, it's how at least some jackbooted bastards in uniform get their cookies off.

"Ahead of the release of the body camera videos, the Camden County Sheriff's Office said in a statement on Oct. 18, 2023, Sheriff Proctor, GBI, and Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney Keith Higgins decided "to make the videos available for public review in an effort to be completely transparent as to what happened, and how the incident escalated to the point of extreme Use of Force."

Couldn't be law enforcement and the DA are gutlessly attempting to justify use of excessive force to protect and coddle a lying, racist, jackbooted  officer, could it?

"Following the release of the body camera video, Aldrige's attorney Browning told the Associated Press in a statement that her client is a "fine officer and the video speaks for itself. It's clear his life was in danger and he defended himself."

Expect better of a shyster apparently defending, protecting, and coddling a lying, racist, jackbooted officer?

"ABC News reached out to Browning for further comment."

More to come as the story develops.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Think law enforcement, the prosecution, and judiciary will ever become truly reliable and beyond reproach?  ABC News reports:

"A Philadelphia man who was convicted and sentenced to death in connection with the 1994 arson murder of a woman is now exonerated 30 years later, the District Attorney's Office announced. On Wednesday, Daniel Gwynn, 54, was exonerated and released from state prison in Pennsylvania after the DA's office said they found flaws in the 1994 first-degree murder investigation. "The exoneration of Daniel Gwynn today frees a man who is likely innocent," Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said in a press release. "Sadly, it also exemplifies an era of inexact and, at times corrupt, policing and prosecution that has broken trust with our communities to this day."

Here's what allegedly went down:

"On November 20, 1994, an unhoused woman named Marsha Smith was killed after a fire broke out in a vacant building on the 4500 block of Chestnut Street in West Philadelphia, according to the press release. The DA's office said Smith, Gwynn and three other individuals were squatting in the vacant building at the time of the fire. A jury trial relied on faulty testimony from two witnesses and a confession from Gwynn, which he recounted and was found inconsistent with how the fire started, according to the release. The DA's office also said Gwynn was never read his Miranda Rights. Information about an alternate suspect -- who was identified by witnesses to police -- was never turned over to Gwynn or presented during his prosecution, which violated his constitutional rights, according to the release."

Was all this intentional malfeasance on the part of law enforcement, the prosecution, and judiciary?

"The DA's office says witnesses identified Gwynn to police as "Rick" from photo arrays used in a separate murder investigation that took place in the same building three days before the fire. The photo arrays in the police files did not include Gwynn's photo and were never turned over to his defense counsel, according to the release. The witnesses who testified in the first murder investigation were threatened by the defendant before the fire broke out, which the DA's office deemed "critical" information. "Critically, the defendant in the other murder had threatened to have his associates kill the witnesses if they cooperated against him in the other trial," the DA's office said. This information was never disclosed to the defense during Gwynn's prosecution, according to the release."

Nothing was done about the threats themselves at the time they were made?

"The defendant in the other case was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison, which he is currently serving, the DA's office said. "The wrongful conviction of Daniel Gwynn, and his unjust imprisonment for nearly three decades, is a cautionary tale of tunnel vision in policing and prosecution," David Napiorski, assistant supervisor of Federal Litigation said in the release. "Not only were Mr. Gwynn's rights violated at trial, but his conviction and sentence to death row likely allowed the person actually responsible to escape accountability." Napiorski apologized to Marsha Smith's family "for the retraumatization they have likely experienced." "They were deprived of justice in 1994 and are deserving of justice now," Napiorski said."

Interestingly:

"During his time in prison, Gwynn used painting as an outlet "to heal and survive" and shared his work via the website, Art For Justice, which exhibits prisoners' artwork. "Painting has been my therapy, a form of meditation that helps me work through my issues," Gwynn wrote alongside his paintings. Gwynn said art allowed him to not only work on himself but also his legal case. "My transformation came about after I was forced to sit still and take a real hard look at myself," Gwynn wrote. "After I worked through the garbage in my head, I finally woke up and began to work on myself and my case."

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

In follow-up. to an outrageous case covered here and elsewhere, The Washington Post reports:

"A former veteran D.C. police officer was sentenced Friday to six months in prison for violating the civil rights of two young District men by using illegal chokeholds in separate incidents in July 2018."

Why did it take nearly six years to resolve this case?  Why all the foot-dragging?

"Mark L. Clark, 57, was convicted at trial in May of using excessive force under color of law at two McDonald’s restaurants, near the National Mall and in Northeast Washington. The incidents occurred five days apart, one while Clark was on police duty and the second while he was working as a security guard in police uniform. U.S. District Judge Carl J. Nichols also sentenced Clark to two years of supervised release after he completes his term and allowed the officer to self-surrender. Prosecutors said Clark “weaponized his badge” against two young men who were not engaged in any criminal conduct, instigating verbal confrontations that escalated into violence. They said Clark’s body-camera footage showed him driving his police motorcycle onto a sidewalk through a pair of youths to provoke and intimidate his initial victim. In the other incident, footage showed him goading his victim after the young man asked to speak to the officer’s supervisor when Clark barred him from using the restaurant bathroom without ordering food. “Officers, who are entrusted by the community with great power, must be held accountable when they violate the law, just like any other citizen,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Truscott argued in seeking a 64-month sentence."

No question.  The sentence, however, was nowhere near sufficient.  Worse?  The son of a bitch was protected and coddled all these years.

"A 31-year police veteran who had served in the U.S. Navy, Clark retired after being accused in August 2020 of using trachea or carotid artery holds, dangerous techniques that involve applying pressure to the front or both sides of the neck. In a statement, Clark told the court that in over 200 arrests, he “never used his [pepper] spray, baton or service weapon because I never wanted to needlessly hurt anyone.” But he said he realized he should have left the force much earlier because he was emotionally and physically spent after three decades of responding to and experiencing tragic and traumatic events."

Officers are not evaluated for fitness on a continuing basis?

"Clark’s attorney, Christopher Macchiaroli, said Friday that the sentence was significantly less than the government sought. Still, he said, his prosecution would discourage law enforcement officers “who seek to take proactive action in responding to the rising levels of violent crime in the District” and showed disregard for the challenges they face in making split-second judgments about the use of force to protect themselves and fellow citizens."

Sounds like a goddamned excuse.  Background history of all those seeking employment as officers needs to be carefully considered.  All those hired need to be continually evaluated for fitness for duty.  Not protected and coddled for years after egregiously and criminally abusing power.  The public deserves no less.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

In follow-up to an egregious case covered repeatedly here and elsewhere, The Washington Post reports:

"A former Colorado paramedic was sentenced to five years in prison Friday for his role in the 2019 death of Elijah McClain, a 23-year-old Black man whose case fueled protests over racial injustice and spurred a slew of policy changes."

Why did it take nearly five years to resolve this case?  Why was this man protected and coddled along with others?

"Peter Cichuniec, 51, was one of two Aurora Fire Rescue paramedics convicted last year of criminally negligent homicide for injecting McClain with what prosecutors said was a dangerous — and ultimately fatal — dose of the potent sedative, ketamine, after McClain was stopped by police. Jeremy Cooper, Cichuniec’s co-defendant, is scheduled to be sentenced next month. Cichuniec, who’d served as a firefighter and paramedic for 18 years, was also convicted of second-degree assault for giving a drug without consent or a legitimate medical purpose."

Certainly, knew better.  Received extensive training before employment, didn't he?  Precisely, why the following rings hollow:

"During Friday’s sentencing hearing, Cichuniec gave a tearful statement, saying he wished he could make changes to “have a positive outcome” for McClain. “I can’t, and that destroys me as a person, as a father and as a paramedic,” he said. Adams County District Judge Mark Warner acknowledged during the hearing the “many letters received by the court that Mr. Cichuniec is an individual of good character.” But, he added, he also had to consider the “death of a young man who is simply walking home from a convenience store.”

Goddamned right.  No question.  Certainly, had the duty to stand up to the jackbooted bastards in blue egregiously abusing power.  Not aid and abet them.

“It is impossible to unremember the video and images of Elijah McClain’s suffering in the last minutes of his young life,” Warner said during the sentencing."

No question.  This young victim was innocent.  Killed for nothing.

The following is achingly heartrending.  Readers will recall:

"McClain — a massage therapist who played violin at a local shelter to soothe the animals — was walking home in August 2019. He was wearing headphones and a ski mask covering his face when a driver called 911 to report a “sketchy” person. Three Aurora police officers arrived and went on to tackle McClain to the ground, restraining him in a way that caused him to go in and out of consciousness."

From earlier reports, had breathed in his own vomit during the encounter.

"When Cichuniec and the other responding paramedic, Cooper, arrived at the scene, they gave McClain ketamine. McClain later went into cardiac arrest while being transported to the hospital. On Aug. 30, McClain was taken off life support and died. McClain’s death received renewed attention in 2020, when George Floyd’s killing by Minneapolis police sparked a racial reckoning and intense scrutiny of cases in which unarmed Black people were killed, including Breonna Taylor in Kentucky and Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia. In June 2020, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) signed a sweeping police accountability law as a means to “create a new normal where everybody’s rights are respected,” he said at the time."

Get this:

"A month later, Aurora’s interim police chief fired three officers who mocked McClain’s death in a reenactment, The Washington Post previously reported."

What could these former cops possibly been thinking?

"Since McClain’s death, Colorado has banned police chokeholds and limited the use of ketamine by paramedics during arrests. The state attorney general’s office also launched a probe into McClain’s death — resulting in a 2021 report that found that Aurora police had a pattern of racially biased policing and use of excessive force. The investigation, The Post reported, prompted the city to enter a consent decree to appoint a third-party monitor to reform the practices of its police and fire departments. That same year, a grand jury indicted the two paramedics and three Aurora police officers who detained McClain."

There was in effect no justice.  These jackbooted bastards were protected and coddled:

"Two of the officers were acquitted of all charges. The third was sentenced in January to 14 months behind bars after being found guilty of criminally negligent homicide and assault."

Nowhere near sufficient.  Protected and coddled.

"Throughout the paramedics’ trials, prosecutors accused Cichuniec and Cooper of failing to properly monitor McClain and conduct basic medical checks. The paramedics recklessly administered too much ketamine for McClain’s 140-pound body, prosecutors said. Elijah McClain died of ketamine shot from medics, amended autopsy says."

Raises the question precisely why did the autopsy report need to be amended?  Why didn't they get it right the first time?

"The defense argued that neither of the paramedics knew that McClain had been placed in a carotid hold, a technique that restricts blood flow to the brain. Knowing so, they said, would have influenced their decision to inject the ketamine. Although the paramedics’ attorneys claimed that the police officers’ actions were to blame for McClain’s death, experts testified that the ketamine shot was too much for an already debilitated McClain. Prosecutors said McClain told police “I can’t breathe” several times as he was handcuffed on the ground."

From earlier reports, had breathed in his own vomit during the encounter.

"McClain’s mother, Sheneen McClain, told the judge Friday that video showed first responders “smirking at my son’s turmoil.” “Every firefighter that was there that night felt no responsibility,” she said. “They felt no need to stop the brutality that was happening to my son as he pleaded for his life.”

The jackbooted bastards murdered an innocent, unarmed man for no reason.  Were protected and coddled.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Follow-up.  Israeli war crimes.  NBC News reports:

"Israel-Hamas war has now killed at least 30,000 Palestinians, most of them civilians."

Likely far more since many may be buried under the rubble:

"Some 60% of the residential buildings in Gaza have been damaged and 45% have been destroyed altogether, according to a World Bank report."

Deliberate murder of innocent civilians orchestrated by the Israelis.  War crimes.

"The Israel-Hamas war in Gaza has now killed at least 30,000 people, the Palestinian Health Ministry announced Thursday, a swelling death toll that has already drawn condemnation internationally, isolated Israel and prompted dismay from its traditional friends and allies. Though the United States says a cease-fire may be near, the military campaign looks far from over. Having swept through swaths of northern and central Gaza, Israel has signaled its intention to attack Rafah, the enclave’s southernmost city where an estimated 1.4 million people are sheltering in squalid conditions."

Gets worse.  Get this:

"Some 70% of the dead Palestinians are women and children, according to figures published by the Palestinian Health Ministry. And while many lawyers agree Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on Israel was a war crime, Israel too has been accused by rights watchdogs and United Nations officials of breaking international law in its response. “Nothing can justify” Hamas’ “deliberate killing, injuring, torturing and kidnapping of civilians, the use of sexual violence, or the indiscriminate launching of rockets towards Israel,” U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres said in a speech Monday. “But nothing justifies the collective punishment of the Palestinian people.” “International humanitarian law remains under attack,” he said. And “tens of thousands of civilians, including women and children, have been killed.”

As reported earlier and complicating matters:

"American and U.N. officials say the death toll given by Palestinian officials is at least accurate and perhaps an undercount. Aid workers on the ground say that thousands more people could still be trapped under the rubble. In addition some 70,000 people have been wounded, and 1.7 million — or 80% of the population — has been displaced, according to Gazan health officials and U.N. estimates."

With absolutely no regard for the massive loss of civilian lives.

“This isn’t just a question of the number of Palestinians killed; this is much bigger than that,” said Diana Buttu, the former legal adviser to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. “The world has failed Palestinians.”

Yet, Biden continues to refuse to cut off all weapons, funding, and aid to Netanyahu.  The following ignores decades of oppression perpetrated by the Israelis against Palestinians and the Arab community throughout the entire region:

"Israel says it’s only interested in trying to root out Hamas following its Oct. 7 attack, in which some 1,200 people were killed and around 240 kidnapped, according to the Israeli government. According to the Israeli military, 576 Israeli soldiers have been killed since Oct. 7 — 237 of them since the ground offensive began Oct. 27. The Israeli military says it is doing everything possible to avoid civilian casualties, including dropping leaflets, attempting to evacuate conflict areas and creating so-called “safe zones’’ inside Gaza."

There are no "safe zones inside Gaza."  It's a lie.  Simply, not true.  Worse, it ignores the over 30,000 civilians Israel has murdered since this latest conflict started.  War crimes.

"Israeli officials blame the death toll on Hamas using civilians as “human shields,” as well as the group’s failure to release the 134 hostages believed still in Gaza. “Hamas declared war on Israel on Oct. 7 and Israel had to respond,” said Aviv A. Oreg, a veteran reservist in the IDF’s military intelligence branch where he has held multiple senior roles. “I think we’ve done much, much better within the framework of humanitarian issues than others did,” he added, comparing Israel’s efforts favorable to those by the U.S. in Afghanistan, or the Western Allies in World War II. “I didn’t see them creating safe zones in Dresden,” he said."

Here's the problem:

"Hamas is deemed a terrorist group by the U.S., and most if not all international law experts say its Oct. 7 assault constituted a war crime. But in its response, Israel, too, has been accused by watchdogs, such as Human Rights Watch, and some senior U.N. officials of breaching international law. South Africa has engaged a legal case at the International Court of Justice alleging that Israel is guilty of genocide against the Palestinians, something Israel vehemently denies. Dozens of Gazans interviewed by NBC News since the start of the conflict say they believe Israel’s ultimate aim is to drive them out of Gaza so that it can be settled by Israelis, as is happening in the West Bank, another territory Palestinians hope will be part of a future state."

The Israeli war criminal autocrat Prime Minister has no credibility:

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has repeatedly denied this is his government policy. But other members of his coalition, the most right wing in Israel’s history, have suggested as much. That, coupled with the relentlessness of Israel’s campaign, is proof enough for Palestinians who say that this is not just about targeting Hamas. “These deliberately random attacks say one thing to me — that this is really a plan to carry out collective punishment, which is a war crime,” said Musheir El-Farra, 62, a Palestinian filmmaker and rights activist. “It’s a crime in front of our eyes and the whole world is watching.” He spent six weeks in Gaza at the start of the conflict, and although, as a British national, he managed to flee to England, he says more than 100 of his relatives have been killed. “We are witnessing the destruction of anything and everything,” he said. “They continue to destroy town after town, city after city.” The next such population center looks set to be Rafah. Israel has drawn up plans to attack the city and evacuate both its residents and the people who have fled there from elsewhere. Two Israeli officials told NBC News on Monday that Palestinian civilians sheltering in Rafah will be allowed to flee to other areas of southern Gaza but not be allowed to return to their homes in the north. With Gaza already one of the most densely populated places on Earth, that’s led many to question where these people are supposed to go."

No place for them to go.  The following is empty, hollow, meaningless, disingenuous bullshit, double talk engaged in by our government:

"The White House has warned Israel that it was opposed to an attack on Rafah without “a credible and executable plan” to get civilians out of harm’s way. It was not clear if the Israeli proposals to move civilians into other parts of southern Gaza would meet that American benchmark."

How could it?

“The operation in Rafah, it’s going to have a lot of consequences,” said Shahin Berenji, an assistant professor at the U.S. Naval War College in Rhode Island. “I’m not sure how you go about relocating 1.5 million people in the span of a week. I think there are a lot of unanswered questions.” Meanwhile, President Joe Biden is facing domestic political pressure from critics who are dismayed at Washington’s continued military support of Israel, which receives more than $3 billion in military aid from Washington every year. Biden and his officials have grown increasingly critical of Israel’s war, but nevertheless the U.S. has been accused of giving “Israel the greenest of green lights” to attack Gaza, according to Buttu, who was a spokesperson for the Palestine Liberation Organization in the 2000s."

Certainly, appears to be the case.  Reeks of Aryan arrogance.  A problem dating back to 1948 when Palestinians were given the boot to create the State of Israel. Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"On Monday, Biden said he hopes there will be a cease-fire by next week. But Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant reiterated that such a pause would not stop Israel “continue fighting until the very last hostages return.” For Palestinians such as El-Farra, any respite to the violence must be accompanied by a long-term plan for their future, something on which Israel and Washington also remain divided. “As someone whose heart is bleeding for my people, I would love to see a cease-fire,” El-Farra said. “But I don’t want to see a cease-fire that will give people a little bit of hope, only for the fighting to resume in six weeks.”

Been an ongoing problem in the region since 1948.

NBC News reports:

"As Gaza death toll tops 30,000, is Israel on the path to victory or quagmire? Israel says Hamas is under mounting pressure, but some analysts say the situation in Gaza could end up resembling Israel’s troubled experience in Lebanon in the 1980s and ’90s."

Certainly, appears to be the case.

"But as Israel prepares for what it says is a final push against Hamas in the southern city of Rafah, one U.S. official said Hamas is “degraded but still capable.” Hamas’ top leaders are still alive, the group still holds more than 100 Israeli hostages, it continues to battle Israeli troops on the ground and — even based on Israel’s aggressive casualty estimates — has 18,000 fighters left. And the massive civilian death toll in Gaza, like the dozens killed Thursday by Israeli forces as they rushed aid trucks in search of food, keeps stoking global criticism of Israel. The chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, meanwhile, told NBC News he was surprised to learn that only a “miniscule” portion of the Hamas tunnel network, which may stretch for 300 miles, has been cleared. “The amount of the tunnels that they’ve been actually fully able to clear, fully secure is tiny,” said Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va. “It’s stunningly small.” Israel’s estimate that it has killed roughly 40% of Hamas’ fighters is significant but suggests there is still a substantial armed force on the ground, said the former head of U.S. Central Command, retired Army Gen. Joseph Votel, who oversaw the U.S.-led war against the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq. “That’s not nothing,” he said. “But what that does tell you is there are a lot of fighters left.” Although Israel’s military is “making progress,” he said there are indications “they still have got an awful long way to go, and it’s going to continue to be a difficult campaign.”

Here's the problem:

"Clarke and other analysts say the situation in Gaza could end up resembling Israel’s troubled experience in southern Lebanon in the 1980s and ’90s. In 1982, Israel moved into southern Lebanon to evict the Palestinian Liberation Organization but stayed for nearly two decades, having failed to stamp out Lebanese and Palestinian militants. “They withdrew from it (Lebanon) in 2000 unilaterally, and they never solved the problem. In fact, they left Hezbollah stronger than ever,” said Randa Slim, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute think tank. “I think they’re going to repeat the same failed experiment” in Gaza, she said. Israel’s long-running military presence in southern Lebanon enabled the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia to attract thousands of volunteers, Slim said, and the Israeli offensive in Gaza could have a similar effect."

Most likely will.

"Israel’s reliance on heavy aerial bombing in Gaza could also prove to be counterproductive, as it risks fueling resistance for years to come, according to Robert Pape, a military strategy and counterterrorism expert and political science professor at the University of Chicago. “Israel’s military operations are producing more terrorists than they’re killing,” Pape said."

Finally, something other than empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric from Biden and the United States government.  While egregiously insufficient, better than nothing:

CBS News(AP) reports:

"U.S. military C-130 cargo planes on Saturday dropped food in pallets over Gaza, three U.S. officials said, two days after more than 100 Palestinians who had surged to pull goods off an aid convoy were killed during a chaotic encounter with Israeli troops."

All the more reason Biden should have cut off all funding, aid, and weapons to the autocrat Israeli dictator and his government.

"U.S. Central Command and the Royal Jordanian Air Force conducted a combined humanitarian assistance airdrop into Gaza, CENTCOM said in a statement. A defense official told CBS News three U.S. C-130 cargo planes dropped 66 total bundles, equating to about 38,000 pork-free meals, into the territory on Saturday morning. The bundles were split between three planes, the official said."

Although nowhere near sufficient, imagine the reaction of starving Gazans.

"The airdrop is expected to be the first of many announced by President Joe Biden on Friday. The aid will be coordinated with Jordan, which has also conducted airdrops to deliver food to Gaza. A U.S. official said that the next drop is planned for Wednesday."

The pace must pick up most significantly.

"These airdrops are part of a sustained effort to get more aid into Gaza, including by expanding the flow of aid through land corridors and routes," the statement said, adding that the military is "conducting planning for potential follow-on airborne aid delivery missions."

The Israelis have blocked food and other humanitarian aid into Gaza since onset of the war.  Have deliberately killed innocent civilians.  Intentionally perpetrated war crimes and have yet to be held accountable by anyone including Biden and the U.S. government.  The following is only the proverbial tip of the iceberg:

"At least 115 Palestinians were killed and hundreds more wounded in the Thursday attack as they scrambled for aid, the Health Ministry in Hamas-ruled Gaza said. Israel says many of the dead were trampled in a chaotic crush for food aid, and its troops fired warning shots after the crowd moved toward them in a threatening way."

Like the Trump nazi, the Israeli dictator Prime Minister is a congenital liar.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"White House national security spokesperson John Kirby said Friday that the airdrops were being planned to deliver emergency humanitarian assistance in a safe way to people on the ground."

That is, indeed, welcome news.  Question remains, why did it take this long?  Why all the stonewalling and egregious disingenuous bullshit to date?

"The C-130 cargo plane is a widely used military jet to deliver aid to remote places due to its ability to land in austere environments and cargo capacity. It airlift[s] as much as 42,000 pounds of cargo and its crews know how to rig the cargo, which sometimes can include even vehicles, onto massive pallets can be safely dropped out of the back of the aircraft."

The military is extremely good at this:

"Air Force loadmasters secure the bundles onto pallets with netting that is rigged for release in the back of a C-130, and then crews release it with a parachute when the aircraft reaches the intended delivery zone."

Imagine the reaction of people on the ground about to receive the aid seeing the air crews doing the seemingly impossible.

"The Air Force's C-130 has been used in years past to air drop humanitarian into Afghanistan, Iraq, Haiti and other locations and the airframe is used in an annual multi-national "Operation Christmas Drop" that air drops pallets of toys, supplies, nonperishable food and fishing supplies to remote locations in the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau."

Here's the problem that the Israelis have not been held accountable for:

"Since the war began on Oct. 7, Israel has barred entry of food, water, medicine and other supplies, except for a trickle of aid entering the south from Egypt at the Rafah crossing and Israel's Kerem Shalom crossing. The United Nations says a quarter of Gaza's 2.3 million people face starvation. Aid officials have said that airdrops are not an efficient means of distributing aid and are a measure of last resort."

No question.  Time for Biden to cut off all funding, aid, and weapons to an Israeli war criminal Prime Minister and his government continuing to commit war crimes.

"U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is set to meet with Israeli government minister Benny Gantz on Monday. The meeting "is part of our continued efforts to engage with a wide range of Israeli officials on the war in Gaza and planning for the day after," a White House official told CBS News."

Nowhere near significant or effective to date.  Precisely, why all funding, aid, and weapons to the Israeli war criminal dictator and his government need to end.

"Harris will also reiterate concerns about civilian casualties and the situation in Rafah during the meeting, the official said. Gantz will also meet with National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan."

To date, nothing more than empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric.  Biden should be ashamed of himself.  Worse?  Could cost him the election.  Should that happen, would likely trigger an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution.  There is no greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the Trump nazi.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

To date, Trump has been protected and coddled by the U.S. judiciary.  Including the U.S. Supreme Court.  NBC News reports:

"After Trump wins at the Supreme Court, some warn it may be harder for Congress to boot 'oathbreaking insurrectionists.' In addition to saying states cannot kick federal office-seekers off the ballot, the court also appeared to limit the power of Congress to act. In ruling that states cannot kick Donald Trump off the ballot, the Supreme Court placed significant limits on any effort — including by Congress — to prevent the former president from returning to office."

Surprised?

"Should Trump win the presidential election and lawmakers then seek to not certify the results and prevent him from taking office because he "engaged in insurrection" under Section 3 of the Constitution's 14th Amendment, the decision could foreclose that action. It is on that point that the court — notionally[notably?] unanimous in ruling for Trump despite its 6-3 conservative majority — appeared to be divided, with the three liberal justices vehemently objecting to the apparent straitjacket the decision enforced on Congress. Justice Amy Coney Barrett, a conservative, wrote her own opinion saying she also believed the court had decided issues it did not need to resolve but she did not join the liberal justices’ separate opinion. Apparently, without the support of the four women justices, a five-justice majority said that Congress had to act in specific ways to enforce section 3. “This gives the Supreme Court major power to second guess any congressional decision over enforcement of Section 3,” Rick Hasen, an election law expert at UCLA School of Law, wrote immediately after the ruling."

Readers will recall:

"The Colorado Supreme Court had found Trump had violated the provision in contesting the 2020 presidential election results in actions that ended with the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. In ruling for Trump, the U.S. Supreme Court specified that anything Congress does must be specifically tailored to addressing section 3, an implicit warning that broad legislation could be struck down. "Today, the majority goes beyond the necessities of this case to limit how Section 3 can bar an oathbreaking insurrectionist from becoming president," the liberal justices, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson, wrote on their separate opinion. By weighing in on the role of Congress, "the majority attempts to insulate all alleged insurrectionists from future challenges to their holding federal office," they added. One sentence in particular attracted the attention of legal experts, with the liberal justices writing that the majority was seemingly "ruling out enforcement under general federal statutes requiring the government comply with the law." Several observers said this may be a reference to Congress' role in certifying the presidential election results should Trump win in November, which is now governed by the Electoral Count Reform Act enacted in 2022 with the aim of preventing another Jan. 6. The law includes language saying that Congress can refuse to count electoral votes that are not "regularly given." That could be interpreted to apply to a winning candidate who members of Congress believe is not eligible to serve under section 3. Derek Muller, an election law expert at Notre Dame Law School, said it seemed the majority wanted to "close that door." But, he added, "the court is speaking somewhat opaquely here, as if it does not want to reveal the true substance of the disagreement."

That's a problem.  A big problem.  What the American public desperately needs and is not getting at this time is plain talk, not bullshit.

"Jason Murray, who argued the Colorado case at the Supreme Court on behalf of the voters who wanted Trump kicked off the ballot, said he also thought the court may be referring to the Electoral Count Reform Act. "It seems to me that one thing that the liberals might be referring to is the possibility that Congress might on January 6, 2025 refuse to count votes that were cast for former President Trump," he added. Not everyone agreed with that interpretation, with Richard Pildes, a professor at New York University School of Law, saying the liberal justices may have been referring to the potential for legal challenges about Trump's authority as president if he were in office again. If the court was addressing the counting of electoral college votes "they could easily have mentioned that if that's what they meant," he added. Hasen wrote that the ruling means that if Trump wins the election and Congress tries to disqualify him, the Supreme Court "will have the last word." In the meantime, "we may well have a nasty, nasty post-election period," he added."

Worse?  Far worse?  Unwanted, dreaded violence leading to an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution as Trump obliterates all civil and constitutional rights and liberties after taking office should he win the election.  There is no greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the Trump nazi.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager.  Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
