Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable. Time to step up.  Now.

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Four hundred nine weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Hey, Sheriff?  Reportedly, promote Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 to Sergeant?  If true, yet another classic example of survival of the unfittest in the law enforcement community.  Readers are reminded this is the very same idiot, clueless asshole responsible for thousands of dollars of damage to the Pace Arrow as reported in each edition of this publication.  Far more to Kingsland property owner James Berardi in a property dispute.  -- A dispute engineered by Johnny Greene, apparently financed by a bribe to the former County Attorney, current District Attorney, and Sheriff.  A federal investigation of Llano County government and the aforementioned allegedly corrupt and abusive bastards in this ongoing fiasco is desperately needed.  Tim Chorney.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information?  Four hundred nine weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Four hundred nine weeks.  Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Uncommon Valor.  Think this heroic teenage lady does not have one hell of a magnificent future ahead of her?

The Washington Post reports:

"Teen risked her life to rescue disabled woman stuck on railroad tracks. ‘I think it’s one of the bravest acts I’ve ever seen,’ said Jereme Robison, police chief for the Ardmore Police Department in Alabama."

Indeed.  No question.

"Lilly Baker was driving to meet some friends in Limestone County, Ala., earlier this month, when she spotted a woman with a wheelchair who was struggling to cross the railroad tracks on foot. “She was just walking along the train tracks with her wheelchair in front of her. She was using it as a stabilizer,” said Baker, 18, adding that the woman was laboring as she tried to walk. Since her wheelchair couldn’t clear the tracks, she was attempting to use it help her walk across — but she was stuck. Baker pulled up beside the tracks to see if she could help. Then she saw a train approaching."

Uncommon Valor:

“I got out of my car and I went over to her, and by the time I got to her, the lights started flashing on the train and the horn was going off,” recalled Baker, who lives in Athens, Ala. “I grabbed her from behind her arms and I tried to pick her up and walk with her, and we fell.” Baker tried a second time to carry the woman off the tracks — and they fell again. “The train was so close to us, we had no time to go anywhere,” Baker said. “It was a nerve-racking situation.” One more time, as the train drew terrifyingly near, “I grabbed as hard as I could to get her out of there,” she continued, explaining that she pulled the woman by her jacket. Baker said she wasn’t worried about putting herself at risk. “I could not leave her there,” she said."

Indeed.  Uncommon Valor.

"Baker narrowly saved the woman’s life — and her own. An employee of the railroad company, CSX, later told Baker the train was less than 20 inches away from hitting them both. The train did, in fact, clip the woman’s feet, leading to two broken ankles. It also wrecked the woman’s wheelchair. “My adrenaline was rushing,” said Baker, noting that she sat with the woman — who seemed disoriented and was in pain — at the side of the train tracks. Baker saw a nearby worker and told them to call an ambulance, as her cellphone was still in the car. “I was just sitting there crying,” Baker said, adding that the train operator halted the train and came to check on them right away. The woman is still in the hospital, but is recovering well, police said. The story was first reported by WAFF 48. “It was a bad injury,” said Jereme Robison, chief of police for the Ardmore Police Department, who responded to the scene on Feb. 5. Fortunately, though, “she’s going to be fine.”

Thanks to this heroic young woman.

"Robison has been in touch with the 53-year-old woman through a social worker. The Washington Post is withholding her name to protect her privacy. “Due to medical reasons, she is not able to be interviewed at this moment,” Robison said, explaining that she lives in an apartment building across from the train tracks, and on the day Baker saved her, the woman was taking a shortcut after she left her home. “It’s not a safe place to cross [with] a wheelchair,” Robison said, adding that the woman has both mental health and physical challenges. “She can barely walk.”

Interestingly, get this:

"Robison was stunned that a teenager had the foresight and courage to save a stranger. “I think it’s one of the bravest acts I’ve ever seen,” said Robison, who has been a police officer for 20 years. “For an 18-year-old girl who is not big in stature to risk her life to save somebody else, she just showed that bravery comes in all shapes and sizes.” “She’s really a hero,” he added."

Indeed.  Precisely, why it is a mistake to underestimate the young.  Hopefully, Chief, you and your officers will mentor the young, -- if you're not already doing so.

"Baker, a high school senior, said she didn’t think twice. “If I see anybody in any kind of trouble, I try to help them,” she said. Although Baker has not been in touch with the woman since that day, she has heard from her family. “They were very thankful,” Baker said. “Her sister-in-law was repeatedly telling me ‘Thank you, you saved her life.’”

No question.

"Baker said her parents are proud — and relieved that both she and the woman are safe. The Limestone County Commission presented Baker with an award for her heroism on Tuesday. Baker said she hopes her bravery inspires others to help a stranger in need. “I hope anybody who is in a position to help will do so with no hesitation,” she said."

Uncommon Valor.  Very best in humanity.  Stunningly, so.  An example for all to follow.  Her elders, indeed, most wise to selflessly emulate.

Uncommon Valor.  The Russian public has indeed stood tall.  Hat's off.

In follow-up to last week's edition of this publication, The Washington Post reports:

"Russian authorities on Saturday handed the body of opposition leader Alexei Navalny to his mother after she struggled for a week to recover it, according to his political team. Dozens of Russian celebrities, artists, activists and journalists had recorded video appeals to President Vladimir Putin in recent days to hand over Navalny’s body to his family, and more than 98,000 Russians signed a petition organized by the legal rights group OVD-Info. Earlier Saturday, Navalny’s daughter, Dasha Navalnaya, 23, also joined the campaign, posting on X, formerly Twitter, “Give my papa’s body to grandmother.” Announcing the breakthrough, Kira Yarmysh, Navalny’s press secretary, said it was unclear whether authorities would interfere in the funeral arrangements. Navalny’s mother, Lyudmila Navalnaya, has said that her wish is for him to be flown to Moscow for a public farewell service, as is tradition in Russia, and for his funeral and burial to take place at the Troyekurovskoye cemetery, where many prominent Russians, including opposition figures, have been laid to rest."

Get this:

"Navalnaya said earlier that Russia’s Investigative Committee, its main federal investigating authority, had pressed her to agree to a small private funeral, with only family members present. “The funeral is still to come. We don’t know if the authorities will prevent it from being held the way the family wants and the way Alexei deserves. We will report information as it becomes available,” Yarmysh said. She thanked the thousands of Russians who supported Navalnaya’s campaign to recover her son’s body. Navalny, 47, was Putin’s most formidable rival and one of the nation’s most prominent political prisoners. He was jailed for his campaign for a free and democratic Russia and died on Feb. 16 in the “Polar Wolf” prison in the Yamalo-Nenets region north of the Arctic Circle. Navalny’s widow, Yulia Navalnaya, had accused Putin of murdering her husband and delaying handing over the body to cover up the cause of death. The death certificate issued later in the week listed his cause of death as “natural causes.”

No credibility.  None.  Zero.

"By Friday it appeared that Russian officials might not give the body to the family at all, instead threatening to bury it in icy ground in the remote northern prison colony, according to the director of Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation, Ivan Zhdanov. Doing so would have denied his family and supporters the right to a funeral and farewell ceremony and would have prevented his gravesite becoming a place where Russians could pay homage to Navalny and his courage in opposing Putin. After Lyudmila Navalnaya traveled to the prison Feb. 17 to recover the body, she faced an eight-day, Kafkaesque battle with Investigative Committee officials to take her son for burial. At the outset, she and her lawyers faced a brick wall, with officials barring them from entering the morgue and refusing even to tell them where the body was being held. One prison official initially told her that her son had died of “sudden death syndrome.”

No credibility.  None.  Zero.

"Days later, with the official cause of death listed as “natural causes,” Investigative Committee officials showed her the body late at night. But with no lawyers present, they pressured her intensely to agree to a small private funeral, threatening that his body would be allowed to decompose if she did not accept their conditions."

She stood tallUncommon Valor:

"On Thursday, she released a video saying that officials “are blackmailing me, setting conditions on where, when and how Alexei should be buried. This is illegal.” On Friday, she was given a three-hour ultimatum and told that Navalny would be buried without her permission in the prison colony unless she agreed to a private burial, according to Zhdanov."

She stood tallUncommon Valor:

"But still, she did not agree. The decision to give Lyudmila Navalnaya her son’s body marked a rare victory for an individual confronting Russian officialdom, but it also indicated the extent to which the unseemly public standoff was damaging the Kremlin. Earlier Saturday, Yulia Navalnaya, clad in black, recorded a somber video message attacking Putin’s professed religious piety as a sham, blaming him both for the “murder” of her husband and refusal to hand over the body for burial. “But murder was not enough for Putin. Now [Navalny’s] body is being held hostage. He mocks his mother and forces her to agree to a secret funeral,” she said. “… They threaten to bury him right in the colony where they killed him.” She said officials had “tortured” Lyudmila Navalnaya for days with lies and threats. The order to “break” Navalnaya’s mother would have come directly from Putin, not from an Investigative Committee official in Salekhard, the town 33 miles from the prison where he died, she continued. Navalny’s body has been held at the Salekhard morgue since the night of his death. Yulia Navalnaya said Putin was now exposed as a fraud. “We already knew that Putin’s faith was fake. But now we see it more clearly than ever before,” she said. “No true Christian could ever do what Putin is now doing with Alexei’s body.”

More on all this as the story develops.  Uncommon Valor of the highest order.  ... What we as Americans used to do.

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Corruption in DEA.  ABC News(AP}reports:

"The way prosecutors tell it, Joseph Bongiovanni went to work for years with a “little dark secret.” Behind the veneer of a veteran U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agent, they alleged, was a turncoat on the take from the Buffalo Mafia, offering an “umbrella of protection” that derailed investigations of his childhood friends, covered for a sex-trafficking strip club and even helped a connected high school English teacher keep his marijuana-growing side hustle."

How about that?  How could it go on all this time undetected?  How?

"In a federal trial that began this month, prosecutors portrayed Bongiovanni as a greedy racist who pocketed more than $250,000 in cash-stuffed envelopes over a decade and threw his colleagues off by opening bogus case files and encouraging them to spend less time investigating Italians and more time on Blacks and Hispanics, “n----- and s----” he was alleged to have called them. When authorities finally unmasked him in 2019, he hastily retired and wiped his cellphone clean."

Why and how did it take five years to prosecute?

“Sometimes the DEA doesn’t get it right,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Tripi told jurors. “He was able to manipulate everyone because, in law enforcement, there’s a certain amount of trust that’s inherent. He did it under the watch of supervisors who under-supervised him.”

No excuse for this.  The fact he was a goddamned racist a dead giveaway.

"The 59-year-old Bongiovanni has denied the counts of bribery, conspiracy and obstruction of justice that could land him behind bars for life, charges his attorney says are built on lies “so fanciful they don’t just strain credibility, they rip it apart.”

Expect better of a shyster?

"The trial is the latest gut punch to the 4,100-agent DEA, which has seen at least 16 agents brought up on federal charges since 2015, a parade of misconduct that has revealed gaping holes in the agency’s supervision."

You think?  LOL.

Get this:

"The crimes have included child pornography, drug trafficking, leaking intelligence to defense attorneys and selling firearms to cartel associates, an Associated Press analysis found. One carried a “Liberty or Death” flag and flashed his badge outside the Capitol on Jan. 6. Another infiltrated the DEA in Chicago and helped traffickers smuggle thousands of kilos of cocaine from Puerto Rico to New York. At least three veteran agents are serving prison sentences of a decade or longer, including one who laundered money for cartels in Colombia and spent lavishly on expensive sports cars and Tiffany jewels, and an Arkansas-based agent recorded taking a bribe inside a Las Vegas casino."

Oath of office?  Means shit squat to these criminal bastards.

"The cases, coming amid an epidemic of more than 100,000 fatal drug overdoses a year, often present yearslong headaches for the U.S. Justice Department to determine whether any investigations were tainted when rogue agents betrayed the badge. “We should not expect to see this much crime in one law enforcement agency,” said Rachel Moran, an associate professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis. “The common thread I see here is a lack of oversight and accountability.” The DEA declined to comment. DEA Administrator Anne Milgram is herself the subject of an ongoing Inspector General inquiry examining whether the agency improperly hired some of her past associates."

How about that?

"Like other DEA scandals, the Bongiovanni case underscores recurring questions about the agency’s hiring standards and ability to root out corruption. Background checks didn’t turn up Bongiovanni’s prior drug use and ties to Italian organized crime in his native Buffalo, prosecutors said, and not a single member of law enforcement was on to him until a trafficker paying for Bongiovanni’s protection was arrested by another agency. “He’s got that little dark secret,” Tripi said. The trial, expected to last two months, is part of a broader sex-trafficking prosecution that has taken sensational turns, including an implicated judge who killed himself after the FBI raided his home, law enforcement dragging a pond in search of an overdose victim and dead rats planted outside the home of a government witness who prosecutors allege was later killed by a fatal dose of fentanyl."

Think we haven't already lost our country due to corruption in law enforcement?  A country remains a democratic republic in name only when law enforcement remains hopelessly corrupt.

Do we really want officers like Bongiovanni?  Get this:

"Bongiovanni was raised in a tight-knit Italian American community in North Buffalo and known as a “door kicker” in the DEA, defense attorney Parker MacKay said, “not the type to sit in front of a computer.” In his high school yearbook, Bongiovanni said he wanted to be a billionaire. But prosecutors said he went through financial struggles during his two-decade career that made him vulnerable to taking bribes. His protection ranged from providing an “all clear” assuring trafficker friends they were not on law enforcement’s radar to leaking intelligence and opening fictitious cases that made it appear he was investigating them or relying on them as informants, prosecutors said, a sort of catch-and-kill tactic that prevented other law enforcement agencies from pursuing their own cases. This also positioned Bongiovanni to receive notice any time another agency became interested in one of the targets, a process known as deconfliction. Bongiovanni also is accused of vouching for criminals, filing bogus reports and swiping a sensitive DEA case file on organized crime that he stored in his basement after his abrupt retirement. Among the rackets Bongiovanni is accused of protecting is Pharoah’s Gentlemen’s Club, a strip club outside Buffalo described by prosecutors as a haven for drug use and sex trafficking. Bongiovanni was childhood friends with the owner, Peter Gerace Jr., who authorities allege has close ties to both the Buffalo Mafia and the notoriously violent Outlaws Motorcycle Club."

Gets worse.  Get this:

"Prosecutors said Gerace had the agent on speed dial for advice when he needed to cover up the overdose of a stripper. The evidence includes a voicemail in which Gerace asks Bongiovanni about tracing a drug dealer’s cellphone. “Is there a way to ping it like police do?” he said, according to court records. “I just want to know if you could do that or not.” Gerace attorney Mark Foti said his client “denies all charges and looks forward to confronting the government’s evidence at his trial.”

That so?  Hard to believe.  Nothing more than shyster talk out the ass?

"The long list of witnesses in the case includes dozens of federal law enforcement officers and a public school teacher of 30 years who admitted running a marijuana-growing operation while receiving confidential information from Bongiovanni. Prosecutor Tripi said Bongiovanni had two sets of rules, one for cronies lining his pockets and another for everyone else. “He did just enough legitimate work to avoid detection,” he said. “He almost got away with it.”

Not credible.  Protected and coddled him.  Looked the other way.  Lined their pockets.

No longer.

Gross injustice.  More of the same.  In follow-up to an egregious case covered repeatedly here and elsewhere, The Washington Post reports:

"Family members assailed a plea deal that allowed a D.C. police sergeant initially charged with murder to plead guilty Friday to a reduced charge of involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of a man who drove away from officers after being roused from sleep at the wheel of a running car in 2021. Sgt. Enis Jevric, 42, was charged last March with second-degree murder, illegal use of a firearm and violating the civil rights of An’Twan Gilmore. Jevric shot Gilmore, 27, of the District’s Park Morton neighborhood, after he was found unconscious or asleep at the wheel of a BMW stopped at a traffic light at New York and Florida avenues NE shortly before 3 a.m. on Aug. 25, 2021. At least one officer noticed a handgun in Gilmore’s waistband, police said. After a few minutes, body-camera footage shows officers with guns drawn gathered around the car while one tapped on a window with a baton. Gilmore awoke and began to drive away. Officers shouted, “Don’t move!” raised their weapons, and Jevric alone fired 10 rounds in two lethal bursts as the car moved away."

An execution.

"Gilmore’s sister, Almoustah Gilmore, filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against Jevric and the city, and she delivered a searing statement to the court decrying the plea arrangement as insufficient for the loss of “my baby brother” who was “two years, seven months and 14 days” her junior. “Some justice is better than no justice. But it’s also true that some justice is no justice at all,” Gilmore said at the plea hearing Friday. An’Twan Gilmore, she said, “was a good person who deserved to have someone sworn to protect and defend the community … treat him with the respect and the dignity due every person.”

Get this:

"Robert J. Contee III, who was D.C.’s police chief at the time, had said the use of deadly force appeared to violate D.C. police policies against shooting at moving vehicles. D.C. officials have contrasted the shooting of Gilmore with the Capitol Police’s treatment a week earlier of a North Carolina man taken into custody without injury after claiming he had a bomb in his parked pickup truck in front of the Library of Congress, causing an hours-long standoff and the evacuation of Capitol office buildings. Jevric, who has been on the force for about 15 years, pleaded guilty in federal court in Washington on Friday to two felonies: involuntary manslaughter, a District offense punishable by up to 30 years in prison, and depriving Gilmore of his civil rights resulting in death, a federal count punishable by up to life in prison. In a plea deal, Jevric faces a recommended three to four years behind bars on the federal count and a recommended three to seven years for the D.C. count."

That all?

"D.C. defendants convicted of second-degree murder — which requires proof of intent to kill — receive sentences of 18 years on average, by comparison. U.S. District Judge Randolph D. Moss set sentencing for July 1. In plea papers, Jevric admitted to firing and striking Gilmore three times, with two shots independently fatal. No other officer fired their weapons, and Jevric displayed “an unconstitutional and reckless disregard” for Gilmore’s right to be free from the excessive use of force in a “gross deviation from reasonable standards of care” required of a police officer, Assistant U.S. Attorney Risa Berkower said in an hour-long plea hearing. “Is everything the prosecutor said true?” Moss asked Jevric, with defense attorney Barrett R. Schultz at his side. “Yes,” Jevric said. Jevric will remain released under court supervision pending sentencing. Although Jevric was the only officer of about six at the scene who fired a gun, images from his body camera were obscured by the ballistic shield he was carrying as he approached the car, and it was unclear what he saw, according to police. The officer did not give a statement to detectives."

Why not?

"Gilmore’s vehicle crashed a few blocks away after the 3:08 a.m. shooting, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital. The Glock semiautomatic handgun he was carrying was loaded with 17 rounds, police said. Jevric is the seventh law enforcement or corrections worker since 2022 to be convicted of civil rights charges, abuse or homicide in D.C. for conduct while on duty — after a ramp-up of prosecutions by the office of U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves in the wake of the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody in 2020. Three cases are pending."

Think the nazi element in the Republican Party does not present a dire threat to a democratic republic?  Time to wake up before too late.  Perverse religious and ideological views of Republican nazis continue to trump life and/or quality thereof here in the United States.  Think not?  Wake upFascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

NBC News reports:

"Nazis mingle openly at CPAC, spreading antisemitic conspiracy theories and finding allies."

Surprised?

"The presence of the individuals has been a persistent issue at CPAC, and in previous years, conference organizers have ejected well known nazis and white supremacists, such as Nick Fuentes."

Sadly, things have changed.

"Nazis appeared to find a friendly reception at the conservative political action conference this year."

No surprise with the Trump nazi dominating the conference.

"Throughout the conference, racist extremists, some of whom had secured official CPAC badges, openly mingled with conference attendees and espoused antisemitic conspiracy theories. The presence of the individuals has been a persistent issue at CPAC, and in previous years, conference organizers have ejected well known nazis and white supremacists, such as Nick Fuentes. But this year, racist conspiracy theorists didn’t meet any perceptible resistance at the conference where Donald Trump has been the keynote speaker since 2017."

No greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the Trump nazi.

"At the Young Republican mixer Friday evening a group of Nazis, who openly identified as national socialists, mingled with mainstream conservative personalities, including some from Turning Point USA, and discussed race science and antisemitic conspiracy theories. One member of the group, Greg Conte, who attended the Unite the Right Rally in Charlottesville, said that his group showed up to talk to the media. He said that the group was prepared to be ejected if CPAC organizers were tipped off, but that never happened. Another, Ryan Sanchez, who was previously part of the Nazi Rise Above Movement, took photos and videos of himself at the conference with an official badge and touted associations with Fuentes. Other attendees with Sanchez openly used the N-word. For several years, CPAC and its supporters have attempted to temper the most extremist fringes of the conservative movement of the party and conference, and have welcomed the continued debate between Trump and more moderate conservatives. This year, however, some attendees and former attendees have expressed frustration with the conferences more intense association with Trump and his wing of the party."

Thousands of our best and brightest never returned home fighting this curse.  Second World War European Theater.

The following is traitorous, pure treason:

"In one of the most viral moments from this year’s conference, Conservative personality Jack Posobiec called for the end of democracy and a more explicitly Christian focused government. While Posobiec later said his statements were partly satire, many CPAC attendees embraced his and others’ invocations of the Jan 6 insurrection. CPAC organizers did not immediately respond to a request for comment."

Not possible to credibly defend the indefensible.

Perverse religious and ideological views of Republican nazis trump life and/or quality thereof here in Texas.  Think not?  Wake upFascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

The Washington Post reports:

"An ectopic pregnancy put her life at risk. A Texas hospital refused to treat her. The 25-year-old woman and her mother blame the state’s abortion ban for a delay in care that doctors say put her “in extreme danger of losing her life.”

Matters not to the nazi element in the Republican Party.  They couldn't care less:

"Kelsie Norris-De La Cruz tried not to cry as the doctor in the emergency room delivered one of the most frightening diagnoses a pregnant woman can receive. The 25-year-old college senior was told she likely had an ectopic pregnancy, a highly dangerous condition where the embryo implants outside of the uterus. Without immediate treatment, the fallopian tube can rupture — and the patient can die."

Matters not to a Republican nazi.  Ideology and forcing that perverse ideology on others certainly does.

"The law that has prohibited abortions in Texas since Roe v. Wade was overturned now explicitly allows doctors to treat ectopic pregnancies. But when doctors at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital evaluated Norris-De La Cruz last week, they refused to terminate the pregnancy, saying there was some chance the pregnancy was still viable, Norris-De La Cruz recalled. Instead, they advised her and her mother to go home and wait, according to medical records reviewed by The Washington Post."

She could have died.

"Norris-De La Cruz ultimately received emergency surgery about 24 hours later at a different hospital in the area, at which point her ectopic pregnancy had already started to rupture. The OB/GYN who performed the procedure said that, if Norris-De La Cruz had waited much longer, she would have been “in extreme danger of losing her life.” “I was scared I was going to ... lose my entire reproductive system if they waited too long,” Norris-De La Cruz said in an interview two days after her surgery. “I knew it could happen at any moment.”

Time to wake up.  Here's the problem:

"Her case highlights a chilling reality of post-Roe America: Medical exceptions to abortion bans have not stopped doctors from turning away patients with significant pregnancy complications, often with harrowing consequences. Their stories underscore the messy collision between abortion laws and medical diagnoses — and the struggles of doctors and hospitals to navigate what many say are inadequate legal protections to treat women with life-threatening conditions. In the nearly two years since Roe fell, dozens of women have come forward with stories of medical care denied because of abortion bans, with the changes in treatment bringing some close to death or affecting patients’ future fertility. Several dozen women across the country who experienced pregnancy complications have challenged their state abortion bans in court. Two friends were denied care after Florida banned abortion. One almost died."

Republican nazis simply don't give a shit.

Interestingly, get this:

"The Post learned of Norris-De La Cruz’s case when her mother, seeking advice, called a Houston reproductive health clinic when a reporter was present. To corroborate Norris-De La Cruz’s account, The Post reviewed dozens of pages of medical records, sonogram images, photos and text messages, and conducted interviews with many of the people involved in the case. Four OB/GYNs who reviewed Norris-De La Cruz’s medical records for The Post, with Norris-De La Cruz’s permission, said she should have been offered emergency surgery. They said they suspected Texas’s abortion ban played a role in how she was advised. “That should have been a bread and butter slam dunk diagnosis,” said Clayton Alfonso, an OB/GYN at Duke University. “It doesn’t make sense to me that they would send her away, unless they had a fear that the surgery … could be perceived as causing an abortion.”

The following certainly does not appear to be true:

"Kimberly Walton, the director of media relations for Texas Health, said the hospital’s top priority is “providing our patients with safe, high-quality care.”

That so?

“Treatment decisions are individualized based on a patient’s clinical condition and we believe the care provided to the patient in this case was appropriate,” she wrote in a statement."

That right?

"Walton did not answer a written question about whether the delay in Norris’s care was related to the abortion law."

Why not?  Either it was or it wasn't.  Why no transparency?  What are you afraid of?  The truth?

"The doctors who sent Norris home did not respond to requests for comment."

Surprised?  Couldn't be they were covering their sorry, gutless asses, could it?

The following couldn't be disingenuous, gutless, Republican bullshit, could it?

"A Republican state senator who has spearheaded much of Texas’s antiabortion legislation said he was surprised and frustrated to hear about Norris-De La Cruz’s case."

Couldn't be that is exactly what you and your fellow Republicans expected, could it, Senator?  Time for the endless bullshit and double talk to end:

“I don’t know what the excuse would be for a Texas doctor not treating an ectopic pregnancy, because that’s not the law,” said Sen. Bryan Hughes, who sponsored a law last year specifying that Texas doctors are permitted to treat ectopic pregnancies, a follow-up to Texas’s abortion ban meant to prevent cases like this one."

Wake up, Senator.  They're afraid Republican nazi prosecutors will continue to bastardize the law, distort reality, and falsely charge doctors.  There is no trust.  Why would there be any, Senator?  Republican fascist bastards emulating Adolf Hitler continue to take a raucous hard dump on liberty. Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.  Pointedly?  We're tired of Republican fascist bastards dictating what our religious beliefs and ideologies ought to be, Senator.  They intentionally, determinedly, traitorously infringe on liberty.  Remain un-American.  Shamelessly nazi.  To say the very least, unconstitutionally violate the Establishment Clause.  Worse?  Democrats have gutlessly failed to effectively stand up to this exigent Republican threat to liberty.

"But many doctors consider even Hughes’s follow-up law, which took effect in September, to be an inadequate tool for treating patients like Norris-De La Cruz amid a complicated post-Roe landscape. Ectopic pregnancies in the fallopian tube, which never survive to term, can be hard to diagnose on an ultrasound with 100 percent certainty, several doctors said — and if the diagnosis is wrong, a doctor might fear potential legal repercussions for terminating a viable pregnancy."

Don't understand that, Senator?  Clueless?  Determinedly out to lunch?

"After the first of two OB/GYNs at Arlington Memorial refused to treat Norris-De La Cruz, her mother, Stephanie Lloyd, immediately thought about Texas’s abortion ban. “Does this have anything to do with the abortion law?” she remembered asking the doctor. When he didn’t answer, Lloyd recalled, she had to restrain Norris-De La Cruz as her daughter tried to launch herself at him. “Whenever I f---ing rupture,” Norris-De La Cruz said, “I’m giving my lawyers your f---ing name.”

That's precisely the way to handle this.  A lawsuit.  No violence.  Needs to cost gutless doctors dearly financially.  Physicians need to stand tall.  Not remain determinedly gutless.

Sadly, get this:

"Norris-De La Cruz had not wanted to lose her pregnancy. When she got a positive test in early January, she said, she and her boyfriend immediately started to imagine who their child might become. “We made jokes all the time like, ‘Maybe he’ll be a competitive chess player,’” Norris-De La Cruz said. “We thought the possibility of creating something that was a unity of us was really beautiful." It was just one week later that Norris-De La Cruz started to cramp and bleed. She went straight to the emergency room on Jan. 14, where doctors measured her pregnancy hormone levels, performed an ultrasound and told her to return in 48 hours. By her second appointment two days later, her pregnancy hormone levels had dropped precipitously, according to medical records — leading the doctors to suspect a “failed early pregnancy,” although they acknowledged in the records that they could not entirely rule out the possibility of an ectopic. Over the next few weeks, Norris-De La Cruz said, she still didn’t feel well — experiencing bouts of abdominal pain so severe that she struggled to stand. Thinking she might have appendicitis or a urinary tract infection, she went to the health center on her campus at the University of Texas at Arlington, around noon on Feb. 12, where a nurse told her to go straight to the emergency room. Then came the frightening diagnosis at the Arlington Memorial ER. After her confrontation that day with the OB/GYN, Norris-De La Cruz spoke with a different doctor on call who specialized in emergency medicine and had also reviewed her tests and ultrasound scans. He disagreed with the OB/GYN’s decision to discharge her, according to medical records."

This doctor stood tall:

"While he said he was not permitted to do the surgery himself — that required an OB/GYN — he recommended she remain in the hospital overnight. “I do not feel comfortable discharging her home and do not think that is in her best interest,” the emergency room doctor wrote in her records. The following morning, Norris-De La Cruz was turned away by a second OB/GYN, who determined that there was “no operation warranted,” according to records. The OB/GYN discharged her and told her to follow up in 48 hours. As Norris-De La Cruz prepared to leave the hospital around 10 a.m. on Feb. 13, her mother was standing outside in the parking lot, begging a woman at a New Mexico abortion clinic over the phone to help terminate her daughter’s ectopic pregnancy. The woman seemed confused, Lloyd said. “Texas should be able to help you,” Lloyd recalled the clinic staff member saying. “Why do you want to come here?” She gave Lloyd the number for another office — a former abortion clinic in Houston that provides ultrasounds and out-of-state referrals. But they didn’t know what to say, either. “You could come to a Houston hospital but they might tell you the same thing,” Marjorie Eisen, a patient advocate at Houston Women’s Reproductive Services, told Lloyd when she called, in an exchange observed by The Post. “We’ve had luck with our county hospitals sometimes and sometimes not.”

Why should a woman have to go through this shit?  All courtesy of the nazi element in the Republican Party.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Houston Women’s Reproductive Services has consulted with three other patients in similar situations since Jan. 1, said Kathy Kleinfeld, the clinic’s administrator — all women who she said have been turned away from hospitals with ectopic pregnancies. Eisen suggested Lloyd talk to a doctor she knew in Dallas. “I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this,” Eisen said. “It’s a nightmare.” Lloyd started to panic, pacing back and forth as she tried to figure out what to do next. Her daughter was going to die, she recalled thinking to herself: Why wouldn’t anyone help her?"

The answer to that question is achingly simple.  Republican nazi ideology and religious views trump the lives of women who are in danger of losing theirs.

"Back inside the hospital, Norris-De La Cruz got a call from her best friend, Monica Perez, whom she’d been texting with updates throughout the night. “I’m on my way to my OB/GYN,” Perez recalled saying as she drove to one of her regular appointments. “Do you want me to tell the nurses and see if they can squeeze you in?” Norris-De La Cruz immediately texted her friend a picture of her sonogram, hoping the image would be enough to convince them. Perez called back 20 minutes later. “They can see you at 2 o’clock,” she said. As soon as Perez’s OB/GYN, Jeffery Morgan, reviewed Norris-De La Cruz’s ultrasound scans, he immediately identified an ectopic pregnancy. All the textbook signs were there, he said in an interview a week after the consultation: A large mass on the right side of her pelvis. Elevated levels of pregnancy hormone with no visible pregnancy inside the uterus. Fluid in the abdomen. “There are times when it’s really early in the process when it can be hard to know if it’s ectopic — but that honestly would have been weeks before where she was in the pregnancy,” Morgan said, adding that he was 98 percent sure Norris-De La Cruz had an ectopic when he initially examined her. At his clinic, Morgan told Norris-De La Cruz and her mother that he recommended surgery as soon as possible. As soon as they heard that, they both started to sob. “Wow,” Norris-De La Cruz recalled thinking as she looked up at the doctor. “I don’t have to make my case. You see it. You understand that this is an emergency.” Norris-De La Cruz was scheduled for surgery at Medical City hospital in Arlington three hours later. Morgan was able to remove the ectopic pregnancy, according to records."

Here's the problem:

"But the mass had grown so large he also had to take most of her right fallopian tube, a loss that could affect her future fertility. That outcome was likely inevitable, according to most of the OB/GYNs consulted for this story. Norris-De La Cruz probably would have lost her tube even if she had been treated immediately at Arlington Memorial, they said. Morgan said he never considered delaying or withholding treatment because of the abortion ban, which he says clearly allows Texas doctors to treat ectopic pregnancies. He said he was shocked to learn that Norris-De La Cruz had been turned away. “Honestly, it baffles me,” Morgan said. “Any kind of ectopic, anything like that is excluded.” In the days since the surgery, Norris-De La Cruz and Lloyd have thought a lot about Texas’s abortion law, which they both believe factored into the delay in Norris-De La Cruz’s care. When Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, the two had argued fiercely about what a near-total abortion ban would mean for women in the state — with Norris-De La Cruz fearing a loss of personal freedoms, and Lloyd welcoming new protections for babies who couldn’t speak up for themselves. Initially, Lloyd said, she thought the Texas abortion law would only affect people who decided they didn’t want to be pregnant — never imagining it could prevent women from accessing lifesaving care. Now, she said, she has completely changed her mind about abortion bans. “I didn’t realize how far it had gone,” she said. “But it has happened to my life now, with my daughter." “Her life has been in danger and affected by someone who was too afraid to help.”

That's precisely right.  The truth.  Without question, The Washington Post is providing quite a public service:

"Tracking abortion access in the United States: Since the Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade, the legality of abortion has been left to individual states. The Washington Post is tracking states where abortion is legal, banned or under threat. Alabama embryo ruling: The Alabama Supreme Court ruled that frozen embryos are people and someone can be held liable for destroying them, a decision that reproductive rights advocates say could imperil in vitro fertilization (IVF). Here’s what the Alabama embryo ruling means for IVF across the U.S. Abortion and the 2024 election: Voters in a dozen states in 2024 could decide the fate of abortion rights with constitutional amendments on the ballot in a pivotal election year. The Biden administration announced new steps intended to ensure access to contraception, abortion medication and emergency abortions at hospitals. Here’s what the moves on reproductive health mean for consumers. See where the 2024 presidential candidates stand on abortion bans. Abortion pills: The Supreme Court will decide this term whether to limit access to the abortion pill mifepristone. Oral arguments are likely to be scheduled for the spring, with a decision by the end of June. For now, full access to mifepristone will remain in place."

For over 25 years this publication, Liberty In Peril, has provided a public service no matter the personal cost.  Will continue to do so.

Follow-up.  Raw nazism.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.  Emulation of its Second World War oppressor, Adolf Hitler.

The Washington Post reports:

"Netanyahu presents hard-line ‘day after’ vision for Gaza for the first time."

Sadly, this nazi dictator remains a war criminal.  Over 25,000 innocent Palestinians murdered by this Israeli nazi war criminal and his jackbooted goons.

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released a proposal early Friday for Israel’s indefinite military control of Gaza, repeating hard-line stances he has made before but still surprising the public by putting it all in writing as a concrete postwar plan."

Nazi arrogance of this autocratic Israeli dictator, war criminal.

Readers of this publication and elsewhere are certainly aware:

"For months, Netanyahu has placed two topics largely off-limits in public questioning: What responsibility does he bear for security lapses leading to the deadly Oct. 7 Hamas attacks, and who will govern the enclave when the fighting is over? On the first question, Netanyahu continues to deflect. But he has finally spoken on the second with a one-page proposal presented to his security cabinet Thursday night and released publicly after midnight. The outline is meant as a starting point for further discussions, his office said."

Sadly, this man is delusional.  These 'discussions' will likely go nowhere.  Have no support in the region or at the United Nations.  ... Not that the Oct.7 Hamas attacks can be supported, justified.

"The debut of a plan that had been considered off-limits to public discussion came as a surprise to many in the government, according to an Israeli official close to the discussions. The new policy followed a meeting Thursday with White House envoy Brett McGurk and came as momentum appeared to be building in Paris-based talks toward a possible cease-fire and hostage-release deal with Hamas. “This was synchronized with the Americans,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to talk about internal discussions. The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem did not respond to a request for comment."

No surprise.  No transparency.  Never has been.

“Netanyahu’s number one goal is buying time,” said Gideon Rahat, a senior fellow at the Israel Democracy Institute and chair of Hebrew University’s political science department. “He bought as much time as he could on this in the face of pressure from Joe Biden.”

Biden is gutless.  Could have brought quite a bit more pressure on the Israeli autocrat, war criminal.  Should have long since threatened to cut off all U.S. aid to the Israeli war criminal.

"The proposal outlined by Netanyahu largely reflects what he has said in public. Among its key points: Israel’s military will stay in Gaza as long as it takes to demilitarize the enclave, eliminate Hamas and keep it from regrouping."

Has no chance of success.  Sadly, the terror will continue.  Hamas has nothing to lose.  Will continue to recruit terrorists as the Israeli oppression remains unabated.

"Israel will assume greater control of Gaza’s southern border, in cooperation with Egypt “as much as possible,” and will carve out border buffer zones to prevent smuggling and further attacks. Egypt has rejected any Israeli role on its border with Gaza."

Precisely, why Israel has virtually no chance of success there.

"The United Nations’ primary aid agency in Gaza and the West Bank, UNRWA, which Israel accuses of complicity with Hamas and fostering hatred of Jews, would be disbanded and replaced."

Not a chance of success.  Continued oppression by the Israelis guaranties new recruitment of terrorists.  Jackbooted tactics by Adolf Hitler and his goons employed by the Israeli dictator will work no better for Israel than it did the Germans.  Netanyahu doesn't seem to understand this.

"The proposal rejects any permanent agreement with “the Palestinians” that is not achieved through direct negotiations with Israel, as well as any “unilateral” Palestinian state. The Palestinian Authority, in the West Bank city of Ramallah, said the outline was a nonstarter."

Clearly.  Guaranties continued violence.

“The plans proposed by Netanyahu are aimed at continuing Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories and preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state,” said Nabil Abu Rudeina, a spokesman for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. “Israel will not succeed in its attempts to change the geographical and demographic reality in the Gaza Strip.” Critics in Israel also dismissed the outline as a compendium of ideas that have already been rejected by the international community and Israel’s most important backers. The points will be welcomed by Netanyahu’s conservative base but do little to advance strategic considerations about postwar Gaza, said Chuck Freilich, a former deputy head of Israel’s National Security Council and a senior fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv. “This is just a presentation of Israel’s maximalist positions,” Freilich said. “The pressure was building on him to come up with something, so he came out with this document and slapped ‘day after’ on the top.”

Empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric.

"But if the goals were in line with Netanyahu’s rhetoric, political observers said the proposal was notable for breaking the official silence on the topic. And it did not call for the reestablishment of Israeli settlements inside Gaza, as some of Netanyahu’s coalition partners have demanded. Nor, as many Israeli political observers noted, did it slam the door on Palestinian Authority officials playing a role in Gaza, as Netanyahu has repeatedly done in the past. Instead, the outline describes a civil service staffed by “local entities with managerial experience,” without defining who that might be. Anyone with ties to terrorist groups or countries “supporting terrorism” — a possible reference to Qatar and Iran — would be barred. Senior Israelis have previously pushed the idea of unaffiliated clan leaders taking charge of many government functions, which critics dismiss as an unworkable alliance with inexperienced locals who would be seen as Israeli proxies."

No question.

"Not explicitly rejecting (or even mentioning) the Palestinian Authority, which governs in the West Bank, at least avoids another public break with the Biden administration, which has pushed the idea of a “revitalized” authority as the best place to look for stable, long-term administrators for Gaza. “It’s vague enough to enable him to control his coalition on the one hand and to give a hint to Biden and others that there might be some type of Palestinian Authority role when it doesn’t come to security issues,” Rahat said. But Palestinians saw the document’s silence as an insult."

Sadly, rightly so.

“The Palestinian Authority is simply ignored, rendering it as if it doesn’t exist,” political analyst Mustafa Ibrahim told The Washington Post in a phone interview from Rafah, in southern Gaza, where he is sheltering with his family. “What Netanyahu’s plan presents is a vision solely centered around Israel and its interests, with no regard for the humanity or rights of Palestinians.”

Surprised?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

What could this former 'judge' possibly been thinking?

NBC News(AP) reports:

"An Illinois judge who sparked outrage by reversing a man’s rape conviction involving a 16-year-old girl has been removed from the bench after a judicial oversight body found he circumvented the law and engaged in misconduct. The Illinois Courts Commission removed Adams County Judge Robert Adrian from the bench Friday after it held a three-day hearing in Chicago in November on a compl[ai]nt filed against Adrian. Its decision says Adrian “engaged in multiple instances of misconduct” and “abused his position of power to indulge his own sense of justice while circumventing the law.” The commission could have issued a reprimand, censure or suspension without pay, but its decision said it had “ample grounds” for immediately removing Adrian from the bench in western Illinois’ Adams County."

Get this.  It's appalling:

"In October 2021, Adrian had found then 18-year-old Drew Clinton of Taylor, Michigan, guilty of sexual assaulting a 16-year-old girl during a May 2021 graduation party. The state Judicial Inquiry Board filed a complaint against Adrian after the judge threw out Clinton’s conviction in January 2022, with the judge saying that the 148 days Clinton had spent in jail was punishment enough."

Incredible.  Impossible to defend the indefensible.

Gets worse.  Get this:

"The complaint said Adrian had acknowledged he was supposed to impose the mandatory four-year sentence against Clinton, but that he would not send him to prison. “That is not just,” Adrian said at the sentencing hearing, according to court transcripts. “I will not do that.” Clinton was accused of sexually assaulting Cameron Vaughan. The Associated Press does not typically name people who say they were sexually assaulted unless they come forward publicly. Vaughan told The Associated Press in November, when she was 18, that Adrian’s reversal of Clinton’s verdict left her “completely shocked” but determined to oust the judge. She attended the November commission proceedings with family, friends and supporters."

This young woman stood tall:

"After Adrian threw out Clinton’s conviction, Vaughan said that the judge told the court “this is what happens whenever parents allow teenagers to drink alcohol, to swim in pools with their undergarments on,” she recounted in an account supported by a court transcript of the January 2022 hearing."

Goddamned outrageous.  This man is unfit to sit on the bench.

"Adrian’s move sparked outrage in Vaughn’s hometown of Quincy, Illinois, and beyond, with the prosecutor in the case saying that her “heart is bleeding for the victim.”

For damned good reason.

"Vaughan told the Chicago Tribune following Friday’s decision removing Adrian that she was “very happy that the commission could see all the wrong and all the lies that he told the entire time. I’m so unbelievably happy right now. He can’t hurt anybody else. He can’t ruin anyone else’s life.”

The former 'judge' remains determinedly clueless:

"When reached by phone Friday, Adrian told the Chicago Tribune that the commission’s decision to remove him is “totally a miscarriage of justice. I did what was right. I’ve always told the truth about it.” Adams County court records show that Clinton’s guilty verdict was overturned because prosecutors had failed to meet the burden of proof to prove Clinton guilty. But in Friday’s decision, the commission wrote that it found Adrian’s claim that “he reversed his guilty finding based on his reconsideration of the evidence and his conclusion that the State had failed to prove its case to be a subterfuge — respondent’s attempt to justify the reversal post hoc.” Clinton cannot be tried again for the same crime under the Fifth Amendment. A motion to expunge Clinton’s record was denied in February 2023."

Sadly, this rapist will never be held legally accountable for his crime.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager.  Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
