Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable. Time to step up.  Now.

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Four hundred five weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Hey, Sheriff?  Reportedly, promote Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 to Sergeant?  If true, yet another classic example of survival of the unfittest in the law enforcement community.  Readers are reminded this is the very same idiot, clueless asshole responsible for thousands of dollars of damage to the Pace Arrow as reported in each edition of this publication.  Far more to Kingsland property owner James Berardi in a property dispute.  -- A dispute engineered by Johnny Greene, apparently financed by a bribe to the former County Attorney, current District Attorney, and Sheriff.  A federal investigation of Llano County government and the aforementioned allegedly corrupt and abusive bastards in this ongoing fiasco is desperately needed.  Tim Chorney.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information?  Four hundred five weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Four hundred five weeks.  Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

As always, when officers do something heroic and/or of exceptional value to the community, it leads in this publication.  Always.

NBC News reports:

"A 65-year-old Michigan man was rescued from a frozen lake on Thursday when a fast-acting officer team up with the man’s dog to pull him out of the water, according to Michigan State Police. The rescue occurred at about 11:45 a.m. in East Bay Township, state police said in a statement. The agency also released a harrowing two-minute video, which shows motor carrier officer Kammeron Bennetts working with the man’s dog, Ruby, to pull him out of Arbutus Lake."

Uncommon Valor.  Both the dog and this heroic officer.

"East Bay Township is in the northwestern region of the state’s Lower Peninsula. The man rescued from the lake is from nearby Traverse City, state police said. “The quick actions of MCO Bennetts along with the help from Ruby, they were able to perform a successful ice rescue. The man was in the water for approximately 16 minutes,” state police said."

The dog and the officer are both the very best in what they do.  Worked together to save this man.  Hat's off.

"Bystanders called 911 after seeing the man fall through ice, according to state police. Body camera footage shows Bennetts getting near the lake and taking out a “rescue disc” from his patrol vehicle. State police said Bennetts could not reach the man in the water because of the ice conditions. Video show Bennetts, who was a distance from the man in the lake, shouting: “I’m going to try and send this out to you, OK?” A short time later, Bennetts asks the man, “Send your pup here. Will she come to me?” He then orders the dog, “Ruby, come here. Come here, Ruby.” The dog then runs to Bennetts, who attaches the orange rescue disc to Ruby’s collar, which is tied to a yellow rope, video shows. Bennetts then asked the man to call for his dog while the officer holds onto the rope. According to the video, Bennetts then tells the man to grab ahold of the disc. When the man has the disc, the officer tells him, “I need you to kick your feet. Kick your feet back. Bring your feet up to the surface by kicking your feet.” The officer is heard breathing heavily on the video. Bennetts continues to shout orders at the man, the video showed: “Keep pulling on that disc. Pull on the disc — kick your feet. Keep kicking your feet.” The video then shows the man, who is now out of the lake, reaching the officer and a second person. The rescued man was pulled to them while on his stomach, according to the video. The footage ends with Bennetts calling on the heroic K-9, “Ruby, Ruby come,” while the dog is out of the camera’s view."

Stunning performance by all.  Uncommon Valor.  Best of the very best.

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

More of the same.  Never ends.  NBC News reports:

"The mayor of Elyria, Ohio, has ordered an investigation after a woman alleged that police officers who raided her home had the wrong address and deployed flash-bang devices that sent her 1-year-old to the hospital with burns. Police have offered a conflicting account of what happened Jan. 10, saying in a statement Friday that they had executed a search warrant at the correct address and the child did not "sustain any apparent, visible injuries."

Surprised?  Clearly, somebody's lying.  The Department gutlessly covering its ass.  Instead, of taking responsibility for the fiasco.  Think not?  Wake up:

"Courtney Price says audio from her Ring camera proves them wrong. In a clip shared exclusively with NBC News on Tuesday, someone can be heard saying "it's the wrong house." It is not clear who made the remark because the camera fell to the ground and went dark after police deployed the flash-bang devices. Elyria Mayor Kevin A. Brubaker called the incident "serious and disturbing," announcing on Saturday "a complete review of the incident." He said body camera footage from the incident will be released later Tuesday. The Elyria Police Department obtained a court-authorized search warrant for a residence in the 300 block of Parmely Avenue as part of a criminal investigation, police said in a news release Friday. Courtney Price say police officers who raided her home had the wrong address and deployed flash bang devices that sent her 1-year-old son, Waylon, to the hospital with burns. That warrant was executed that same day at 2:12 p.m. The Elyria Police special response team deployed two diversionary devices, known as “flash-bangs,” outside the residence, made repeated announcements, entered the home and found a woman and her 17-month-old inside. Price, a single mother who had moved from Kentucky to Elyria just a week before the raid, was at home with her baby, Waylon. Price said she heard “the loudest knock I’ve ever heard in my life” at 2:12 p.m. and started walking toward the door. As she was heading downstairs — less than 15 seconds later — officers busted down the door, set off flash-bangs, and entered the residence with guns aimed at her. "I froze at the top of the steps. I kept saying, 'I'm scared. My baby's in here, he’s on a ventilator.' Then I came down the steps and they put me in handcuffs," she told NBC News on Tuesday. From her position on the steps, she recalled seeing a flash at the window and smoke come through. Waylon, who was born premature and has pulmonary hypertension, a very severe lung disease, and an atrial septal defect, which is a hole in the heart, was lying in his swing on the floor by the window. Glass got on him when the windows blew out, Price said. Police took her outside, and later brought her back in to check on the baby, she said. In a statement, Elyria police said the woman told officers that her baby had a pre-existing medical condition, and detectives and paramedics assessed the child, "confirming that the child did not sustain any apparent, visible injuries."

Clearly, somebody was lying.  Covering the Department's gutless ass.  Think not?  Wake up:

"That’s when a paramedic got down and listened to Waylon and said 'Sounds clear.' Then they took us to the hospital," she said. Price and Waylon were sent home after the hospital said the baby's condition had "nothing to do with the raid." But early the next morning, Price said, Waylon "quit breathing." She adjusted his ventilator, but he still didn't improve and she had to call 911. They were taken to a hospital and transferred to UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. "Then at Rainbow Babies, we were told that he needed six more liters of oxygen, his ventilator needed turned up ... he had chemical pneumonitis, which is inflammation of the lungs and irritation of the lungs, and he had a chemical reaction and in and around his eyes," Price said. In an online fundraiser to support Waylon's medical bills, Price wrote: "The negligence from Elyria Police Department caused my baby to have burned eyes, burned chest, burned arm, burned neck." As of Tuesday, Waylon is on the mend but, she said, the ordeal has been heartbreaking for her. "We moved up here for a fresh start. A lot of my family’s here, I just had a baby and I’m a single mom," Price explained. "My son has just worked so hard for his whole life to get where he’s at and extra trauma and these extra setbacks, there’s just no reason this should have happened." Elyria police, however, maintained that the child was not harmed during the operation. “Any allegation suggesting the child was exposed to chemical agents, lack of medical attention or negligence is not true,” police said. The police department noted that the two flash-bangs were deployed outside the home and such devices neither produce a continuous burn nor do they release or contain any pepper gas or chemical agents."

Again, clearly, somebody's lying.  Be interesting to see who.

Get this:

"Price is accusing the Elyria Police Department of negligence and poor detective work. The search warrant was for the Parmely Avenue residence, but was issued for a person who hasn’t lived there in over a year, Price said, sharing the search warrant left by police at the home. "After we were put on the ambulance, [the police] were still here. And then another family member pulled up as I was leaving. And that’s who they told that they had the wrong house to," she said. Price said she learned police had visited the home at least five times within the past year. "The landlord even told [police] she had new tenants," she said."

Surprised?  ... How the jackbooted bastards get their cookies off?

"Price shared footage from her Ring doorbell camera of the raid. The video shows about a dozen officers outfitted in SWAT gear approach the home, bang on the door and shout, "Police, search warrant, open the door!" About six seconds after the first knock, officers bust open the door. At the same time, the camera appears to break and goes black at 2:12 p.m. However, it was still recording audio. At 3 p.m., the Ring camera records several voices that appear to be of the police. Then a man's voice says, "Woah, it's the wrong house." NBC News on Tuesday reached out to Elyria police for comment on the video, as well as the allegations regarding the subject of the search warrant, but has not received a response."

Surprised?  Not possible to credibly defend the indefensible.

"The mayor's office said that the city has been reviewing body camera footage from the operation over the weekend. "Our residents demand to know what occurred, and rightfully so," Brubaker said Monday in a statement. "Thankfully, our City had the technology to record events in real time via many body-worn cameras throughout the entirety of the incident. I’m particularly grateful these cameras captured clear audio and video, from several angles. I am eager to release this footage for all of you to view."

Get on with it.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

More outrageous injustice in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  This case was extensively covered here and elsewhere. Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

CBS News(AP) reports:

"Three Washington state police officers who were cleared of criminal charges in the 2020 death of Manuel Ellis — a Black man who was shocked, beaten and restrained facedown on a sidewalk as he pleaded for breath — will each receive $500,000 to leave the Tacoma Police Department, according to documents released Tuesday. "This says to the public that these are excellent officers, and it's a shame Tacoma is losing them," said Anne Bremner, an attorney for one of the officers, Timothy Rankine."

Outrageous bullshit from a shyster paid to defend the indefensible.  Truly believe she believes her bullshit?

"CBS Seattle affiliate KIRO-TV reports that this comes in the wake of the U.S. Attorney's office opening an independent review of the case. A jury acquitted Rankine, 34, and co-defendants Matthew Collins, 40, and Christopher Burbank, 38, in December following a trial that lasted more than two months. Rankine was charged with manslaughter while Collins and Burbank were charged with manslaughter and second-degree murder. The city released copies of the "voluntary separation" agreements with the officers Tuesday as police Chief Avery Moore announced findings that none violated the use-of-force policy in effect on March 3, 2020. Collins was found to have violated a policy concerning courtesy. According to KIRO, Chief Moore acknowledged that the use of force policy at the time "failed to serve the best interests of the police department or the community."

Gross understatement.

"The station reports that Moore also said, "Because it was policy at the time, it guided my decisions announced today." He added that the policy has since been superseded."

Like the shyster, the Chief continues to protect and coddle the jackbooted bastards responsible.

"These agreements support a responsible, constructive path forward for our community and the Tacoma Police Department," City Manager Elizabeth Pauli said in a written statement."

Think so?  Truly believe it?  Wake up.  It continues to protect and coddle the jackbooted bastards responsible for the murder.

"In an email, Matthew Ericksen, an attorney for Ellis' family, called it "perverse" and said the officers were "effectively being rewarded" for his death. He noted that the officers had already been paid about $1.5 million total while being on leave for nearly four years. "The worst TPD officers are also the highest paid TPD officers!" Ericksen wrote. "Everyone in the community should be upset by this."

No shit.

Readers will recall:

"Ellis, 33, was walking home with doughnuts from a 7-Eleven in Tacoma, about 30 miles south of Seattle, when he passed a patrol car stopped at a red light, with Collins and Burbank inside. The officers claimed they saw Ellis try to open the door of a passing car at the intersection and he became aggressive when they tried to question him about it. Collins testified that Ellis demonstrated "superhuman strength" by lifting Collins off the ground and throwing him through the air. But three witnesses testified they saw no such thing. After what appeared to be a brief conversation between Ellis and the officers, who are both White, Burbank, in the passenger seat, threw open his door, knocking Ellis down, they said."

The jackbooted bastards in blue would never, ever, never lie, would they?

"The witnesses - one of whom yelled for the officers to stop attacking Ellis - and a doorbell surveillance camera captured video of parts of the encounter. The video showed Ellis with his hands up in a surrender position as Burbank shot a Taser at his chest and Collins wrapped an arm around his neck from behind. Rankine was among the many other officers who responded. Ellis was already handcuffed facedown when he arrived. Rankine knelt on his upper back. Video showed Ellis addressing the officers as "sir" while telling them he couldn't breathe. One officer is heard responding, "Shut the (expletive) up, man."

What pieces of shit.  Unfit to wear the uniform.

"Attorneys for the officers argued that Ellis died from a lethal amount of methamphetamine that was in his system as well as a heart condition, not from the officers' actions."

The shysters would never, ever, never lie, would they?

"Ellis' death became a touchstone for racial justice demonstrators in the Pacific Northwest. But it also coincided with the first U.S. outbreak of COVID-19 at a nursing home in nearby Kirkland and didn't garner the attention that the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis did nearly three months later. The trial was the first under a 5-year-old state law designed to make it easier to prosecute police accused of wrongfully using deadly force."

Even when prosecutors fail to do their jobs effectively for whatever the reason?  Wake up.

"The Ellis family settled a federal wrongful death lawsuit against Pierce County, which is home to Tacoma, for $4 million last year."

KNKX Public Radio reports:

"The final three Tacoma police officers under internal investigation in the March 2020 death of Manny Ellis agreed to resign after more than three-and-a-half years on paid leave and the department largely clearing them of wrongdoing under policies at the time. Police Chief Avery Moore announced the decision in an email on Tuesday.

“The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Washington announced on Friday that it was reviewing the criminal investigation conducted by the Washington Attorney General’s Office, which prosecuted the three officers.

"The state Criminal Justice Training Commission has not moved to decertify the officers, but it could do so upon finding they committed misconduct or failed to meet professional standards. The officers’ certifications would have been automatically revoked if they were fired or resigned in lieu of termination. Collins no longer lives in the state and Burbank's attorneys have said he is unlikely to work in law enforcement again. Last Thursday, the officers agreed to resign and the city agreed to pay each of them $500,000, according to city records. A city of Tacoma spokesperson did not immediately respond to questions about the payment and whether it was approved by the City Council.

“The Tacoma Action Collective, which was co-founded by newly-elected Tacoma City Council Member Jamika Scott, wrote on social media that the city didn't listen to the community. "The system that we're supposed to trust in Tacoma is so broken that you can beat, tase, hog-tie, and deprive a Black man of oxygen until he dies and only be reprimanded for not being more respectful about killing him," the group wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter."

No kidding.  Goddamned outrageous.

"Before me and my family, is Jackie's [Salyers] family. There's Benny Branch’s family, there’s Said Joquin’s family. Time and time again, these police departments have shown us that they'll collude together, they'll cover up evidence they won't investigate," said Ellis' sister Monét Carter-Mixon, who also criticized the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department. "They will not do their jobs."

"At the news conference, the family’s attorney, James Bible, said he was concerned that Collins, Burbank and Rankine would find work at another department if the city chose not to fire them. "The very least thing that you could do is actually remove them from their jobs by firing them, not pushing them off to some other county or city or another place where they can live in anonymity with the money that you've given them for the past three years," Bible said. "Not allowing them the opportunity to simply resign, which has somehow sometimes happened with departments around the country that have been in similar circumstances. And if the city of Tacoma fails to fire these officers, it only serves as notice that they truly do not think Black Lives Matter. And that goes for all of them."

Egregious abuse of an autistic teen by the jackbooted bastards in blue.  ABC News reports:

"Officers from a suburban Illinois police department are under intense scrutiny following an incident where officers used a Taser on a 14-year-old boy with autism whom they mistook for a suspect. Avarius Thompson's family said they are still shocked by the incident with the Dolman, Illinois police on Nov. 20, when officers encountered the teen during a pursuit of armed suspects. Avarius allegedly ran from officers after they ordered him to stop before one used the Taser, according to police. The boy's family said he was returning home from the grocery store. The incident was captured on police body camera footage and another officer can be heard saying he didn't think the teen was the suspect they were looking for. The teen was treated for injuries and later released from custody. The incident is under investigation."

Needs to be a lawsuit and criminal prosecution of the officers involved.  This shit needs to end.  Outrageous abuse.

Justice.  Finally.  NBC News(AP) reports:

"A man who served 14 years in prison for a deadly 1990s shooting was exonerated Thursday after prosecutors said they now believe the killer was an acquaintance he has implicated for decades. “I lost 14 years of my life for a crime that I didn’t commit,” Steven Ruffin told a Brooklyn judge after sighing with emotion. Although Ruffin was paroled in 2010 and has since built a career in sanitation in Georgia, he said that getting his manslaughter conviction dismissed and his name cleared “will help me move on.” “If you know you’re innocent, don’t give up on your case — keep on fighting, because justice will prevail,” Ruffin, 45, said outside court. “That’s all I’ve wanted for 30 years: somebody to listen and really hear what I’m saying and look into the things I was telling them.”

Sadly, justice moves at a glacial pace.  This needs to change.

"Prosecutors said they were exploring whether to charge the man they now believe shot 16-year-old James Deligny on a Brooklyn street during a February 1996 confrontation over some stolen earrings. Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said after court that charges, if any, wouldn’t come immediately. “You have to be able to convict someone beyond a reasonable doubt, and we have to make sure that that evidence is sufficient to do so,” said Gonzalez, who wasn’t DA when Ruffin was tried. “You have a lot of factors working against us procedurally, but also factually — unfortunately, this is 30 years ago.”

Here's the problem:

"Ruffin’s conviction is the latest of more than three dozen that Brooklyn prosecutors have disavowed after reinvestigations over the last decade. Over a dozen, including Ruffin’s, were connected to retired Detective Louis Scarcella. He was lauded in the 1980s and ‘90s for his case-closing prowess, but defendants have accused him of coercing confessions, engineering dubious witness identifications and other troubling tactics. He has denied any wrongdoing."

Worse?  The officers who do engage in criminal behavior or other malfeasance are seldom ever held accountable.  Protected and coddled.

"Prosecutors said in their report on the Ruffin case that they “did not discover any misconduct by Scarcella” in the matter. A message seeking comment was sent to his attorney."

Are these prosecutors still protecting this officer?  How hard did they investigate this detective?  Especially in light of the following:

"Prosecutors said the police investigation — and their office’s own at the time — “were wholly inadequate” and tunnel-visioned, failing to look into the person they now believe was the gunman."

Get this:

"The mistaken-identity shooting happened as Ruffin and others were looking for a robber who had just snatched earrings from Ruffin’s sister. In fact, Deligny wasn’t the robber, authorities say. Tipsters led police to Ruffin, then a 17-year-old high school student, and the victim’s sister identified him in a lineup that a court later deemed flawed. Scarcella wasn’t involved in the lineup, but he and another detective questioned Ruffin. The teen told them, twice, that he saw but wasn’t involved in Deligny’s shooting, according to police records quoted in prosecutors’ report. Then Scarcella brought the teen’s estranged father — a police officer himself — to the precinct. The father later testified that he told his son to “tell the truth,” but Ruffin said his father leaned on him to confess. And he did confess, saying he fired because he thought Deligny was about to pull something out of his jacket. Ruffin told the detectives they could retrieve the gun from his sister’s boyfriend, and they did, prosecutors’ report said. Ruffin quickly recanted to his father, who didn’t tell the detectives his son had taken back his confession, according to prosecutors’ report. The teen went on to testify at his trial that he didn’t shoot Deligny but saw and knew the killer — his sister’s boyfriend, the one who’d given police the gun, broken up into parts and stuffed into potatoes. Jurors at Ruffin’s trial heard from the boyfriend, but only about his relationships with the defendant, his sister and others in the case. When the jury was out of the room, the boyfriend invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and declined to answer other questions, including where he’d been on the night of the shooting. Prosecutors didn’t release the boyfriend’s name Thursday, and the names of lawyers who have represented him weren’t immediately available. He told prosecutors during their recent reinvestigation that he had nothing to do with the shooting and didn’t give detectives the gun. He also said he never confessed to anyone, though prosecutors say Ruffin’s stepfather, sister and late mother all have said he made admissions to them."

How about that?  Interesting, isn't it?

"Asked Thursday about the boyfriend, Ruffin’s lawyers noted that the prospect of any prosecution now is uncertain. “We only wish that in 1996, Detective Scarcella and others had performed the investigation they should have and been able to get this right the first time,” attorney Garrett Ordower said, noting that Deligny’s family may now never have the finality of a conviction in his death. As for Ruffin, he’s focused on his future, including promotion opportunities at his job in Atlanta. His now-voided conviction, he said, “never defined me.” “This never really spoke of the person I was or the man I was going to become,” he said. “So this, to me, is a great closure of a chapter my life, but my life is still going up.”

Outrageous abuse.  NBC News(AP) reports:

"School officials in Las Vegas have released police reports and body camera footage under court order showing a campus officer kneeling on a Black student last year — an incident that drew accusations of police brutality after bystander video of it circulated widely on social media. In his incident report, Clark County School District police Lt. Jason Elfberg said the teen, whose name is redacted, refused to move away from officers handcuffing another student while investigating a report that a gun had been brandished the previous day and a threat had been made to “shoot up” a Las Vegas school. No weapon was found. The actions of Elfberg, who is white, pinning the teen beneath his knee next to a patrol vehicle drew public protests, comparisons to the 2020 police killing of George Floyd, calls for Elfberg’s firing and an American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada lawsuit that forced school officials to release information."

For damned good reason.

"Elfberg’s attorney, Adam Levine, told The Associated Press ahead of the release of the bodycam videos that his client, a 14-year police veteran, was cleared of wrongdoing by the district and remains on the school police force. A student who said police handcuffed him during the encounter for jaywalking told KVVU-TV at the time that the incident reminded him of the killing of Floyd, a Black man, by a white Minneapolis police officer who kneeled on his neck for nearly 10 minutes. School officials late Thursday complied with a judge’s order to release police body camera footage of the Feb. 9, 2023, incident near the Durango High School campus. The six video clips the district distributed, with faces and parts of some other scenes blurred, total more than two hours. The Las Vegas-area school district argued that most records of the encounter were confidential because of the age of the people who were detained and denied media requests for them, including one submitted by the AP."

No transparency.  Jackbooted bastards protected and coddled.  Most convenient.

"The ACLU on Friday called the district’s fight not to release the records “shameful” and expensive for the organization and taxpayers. It characterized officers’ accounts that the teenagers were stopped during a gun investigation “an attempt to spin the events and avoid accountability for attacking school children.” The school district said in a statement the ACLU and its clients rejected an offer to receive redacted video last March. It said school administrators followed Nevada law “to protect the identity and safety of minors and the rights of police officers ... despite the challenges of that day’s events near Durango High School.” “This fight is far from over,” ACLU Executive Director Athar Haseebullah told reporters Friday. He said the organization has spent $50,000 on attorneys to obtain the records on behalf of the two students, whose names haven’t been made public. They were 14-year-old male freshmen at the school at the time of the confrontation."

Get this:

"The cellphone video of the encounter that went viral began with several district police officers detaining two students. As another student walked by, recording them with his cellphone, Elfberg yelled to him, “You want next, dude?” The 55-second video showed the student backing away and lowering his phone before Elfberg twisted him to the ground next to a patrol vehicle. Students in the background could be heard yelling to the officer, “You can’t have him on the ground like that!” With the student face-down next to the sidewalk curb, the officer kneeled on his back, gesturing toward other young people in the area and keeping his knee in place until the cellphone video ended about 30 seconds later. At one point, the student could be heard asking his friends to call his mother. Separately, police body camera video showed the teen being handcuffed by another officer, sitting on the curb with his hands behind his back, and Elfberg later acknowledging that the two landed hard on the sidewalk. He encouraged the teen to be checked for injuries, but the teen declined. In his report, Elfberg wrote that the incident escalated when he ordered the student to “start walking, at which point he said no.” Elfberg said in his report he grabbed the teen and pushed him against a fence, but “he attempted again to remove himself from my grasp, so I then spun him around and took him down to the ground.”

Here's the problem:

"During a news conference, Haseebullah, ACLU attorney Christopher Peterson and NAACP Las Vegas President Quentin Savwoir said it appeared Elfberg was annoyed that the police activity was being recorded."

Surprised?

"Haseebullah called Elfberg “a rowdy police officer” who initiated the incident by “jumping out of his vehicle to approach students who looked at him in a way he didn’t like.” He called for Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson to investigate and charge officers with wrongdoing. “What you see is an officer engaged in misconduct,” Haseebullah said. Wolfson responded that police conduct investigations and collect evidence, not his office, and that he has prosecuted officers from police agencies throughout the county for various crimes. He said he had no filing seeking prosecution in the Durango High School case. “I’m not afraid to file a charge in an appropriate circumstance, if and when there is sufficient evidence,” he said."

Protected and coddled the jackbooted bastard.

"Peterson emphasized that observers have a constitutional right to “film, criticize and question officers” and noted that video showed Elfberg threatening to use pepper spray on bystanders who “bravely stood their ground on a public sidewalk facing threats of retaliation.” Later, Elfberg could be heard on his body camera telling a student, “I don’t mind if you record, dude. What I mind is everyone inching up on us.” Elfberg’s attorney, Levine said the bodycam video “actually shows that Lt. Elfberg defused what could have been a very volatile and dangerous situation for both the officers and the involved students.” “This case highlights the dangers of jumping to a wrong conclusion based upon snippets of video viewed out of context,” Levine said in his statement. The attorney also represents the school district’s police union."

What a crock of shit.  No credibility.

"A 200-person police department covers Clark County schools, the fifth-largest district in the U.S. with more than 315,000 students at more than 350 campuses. District police have the authority to make arrests and issue traffic citations on and off campus."

Jackbooted bastards.

In follow-up to a case covered earlier here and elsewhere, CBS News reports:

"An NYPD sergeant was indicted and arrested Tuesday on manslaughter charges after video shows him throwing a cooler at the head of a 30-year-old man, causing him to die during an alleged drug bust last August in the Bronx. Tensions outside the courthouse were high. There have been minor clashes between supporters of the victim's family and police. The case brings out a lot of emotion for the family and the community, as Tuesday also marks exactly five months since Eric Duprey died from blunt force trauma to the head. NYPD Sgt. Erik Duran, 36, was arraigned on manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and assault charges in the courtroom Tuesday. Dozens of police officers filled the courtroom and lined the hallways to show their support for Duran. Meanwhile, the family attorney for Duprey said his widow was emotional when the judge described the details of her husband's death."

For damned good reason:

"Surveillance video shows the moments leading of to Duprey's death, and how it all unfolded on Aug. 23 in Kingsbridge Heights. The attorney general's office, who investigated the case, said Duran was an undercover cop for the NYPD narcotics unit when he forcefully threw a picnic cooler at Duprey's head while he was riding a motorbike. The AG's office said officers were attempting to arrest Duprey during an undercover drug purchase when he got on his motorbike and sped away. The graphic video shows Duprey get hit in the head with the cooler, swerve onto the road, lose control of the vehicle and slide under a parked car after he was hit. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Duran was suspended and later placed on modified duty after the incident."

Why wasn't the jackbooted bastard immediately fired, quickly charged and prosecuted?  Why the foot-dragging?  No reason why these cases can't be fully adjudicated in six months.

"What human being in their right mind who doesn't intend to seriously injure or kill someone picks up a 40 pound cooler with both hands and slams it into a person's skull," Hawk Newsome of BLM Greater New York said. "We can rejoice because Pearl here can go home and tell her kids that on this day the justice system in America worked for them."

Sadly, most of the time the jackbooted bastards are never held accountable.  Protected and coddled.

"The family said this is the first step towards justice for them, and have waited months for this day. He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted on the top charge. Bail was set at $150,000. Duran is due back in court April 19."

Ferociously pointedly, why wasn't the jackbooted bastard charged with murder?

Outrageous corruption.  NBC News reports:

"Multiple Albuquerque police officers have been placed on administrative leave and a New Mexico district attorney’s office has dismissed more than 150 DWI cases as part of an ongoing federal investigation. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico confirmed to NBC News in a statement on Tuesday that the Albuquerque police officers were placed on leave in connection with a federal investigation, but would not comment further."

Transparency?  ... What's that?

"The U.S. attorney’s office said the case has involved federal law enforcement activity at three residences — one in Albuquerque, one in Edgewood and one in Los Lunas. There was also federal law enforcement activity at a law firm in Albuquerque, the office said. It is not clear if the residences are the homes of the officers who have been placed on leave. The dismissal of the more than 150 DWI cases is also linked to the federal investigation, the office said. The office said that the investigation is ongoing and more developments are expected. The Albuquerque Police Department said in a statement to NBC affiliate KOB 4 that it has been “working with the FBI for the past several months on an investigation involving members of the department.” “Due to the sensitive nature of the investigation, some officers have been placed on administrative leave, and others will be temporarily reassigned within the department,” the department said."

Protected and coddled?

"The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office told NBC News in a statement that it has dismissed 156 DWI cases "in deference to an ongoing federal investigation. The office dismissed 144 DWI cases on Thursday, eight cases on Friday and four cases on Monday, the statement said, adding that additional cases are under review. The dismissed cases were filed from 2016 to 2024."

There are currently serious problems in law enforcement leading to serious consequences for all involved.  The following, sadly, is just one example of this.

NBC News reports:

"The sheriff of Passaic County, New Jersey, died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound on Tuesday, according to law enforcement sources, one week after the department was embroiled in turmoil including layoffs and charges against officers accused of beating an inmate. Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik died inside the Turkish restaurant Toros in Clifton, New Jersey, around 3:30 p.m., three law enforcement sources familiar with the matter told NBC New York. Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh confirmed his death in a post on Facebook writing: “I affectionately referred to Richard H. Berdnik as 'America’s Sheriff.' He was an exemplary law enforcement leader and a cherished friend. May he rest in eternal peace.” Mayor Sayegh had been at the Toros restaurant earlier on Tuesday to present a key to the city to the business' owner for donating 10,000 meals to those in need and free meals to doctors and nurses during the pandemic. The sheriff did not attend the event. “I look back at all our text messages between the two of us. I’ve known him for 14 years,” Sayegh told NBC New York. “He was an exemplary law enforcement leader and he was a cherished friend.” Berdnik was a stalwart figure in New Jersey law enforcement, having served as the sheriff for five terms. He was first sworn into the role in January 2011 and most recently won re-election for his fifth term in 2022. He is survived by his wife and four adult children."

Sad, sad loss.  Apparently, related to the following issues:

"The news of Berdnik’s death comes at a turbulent time for the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office. Last week, the Bergen Record reported that the sheriff had sent a memo to his department describing a challenging time at the agency and the need to lay off 29 jail corrections officers. Also last week, a Passaic County correctional officer and two sergeants were charged with deprivation of rights and conspiracy to obstruct justice in the alleged beating of a pretrial detainee. Prosecutors said in a statement that the detainee was held at Passaic County Jail and splashed a mixture containing urine onto a correctional officer. The following day, sergeants Jose Gonzalez, 45, and Donald Vinales, 38, and officer Lorenzo Bowden, 39, transported the detainee through an area of the jail that lacks a surveillance camera. Gonzalez and Vinales allegedly assaulted the detainee as he was handcuffed, and Bowden did not intervene. They did not submit documentation regarding the use of force. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said in a statement he was "deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik" and praised his more than four-decade career. "Every single day, Sheriff Berdnik earned the trust of his constituents in Passaic County, and worked exhaustively to combat criminal activity, modernize the operations of the Sheriff’s Office, and meet the high standard of service we expect from members of law enforcement," he said. “Tammy and I were blessed to have counted Sheriff Berdnik as a close friend. We will miss him — and his leadership — dearly," he added."

Sad, sad loss.

"An investigation into his death is active and ongoing. Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes remembered Berdnik as a “true law enforcement professional, partner, and colleague.” “We extend our deepest condolences to the Berdnik family, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office and all members of law enforcement touched by this tragedy. We thank you for your prayers and support as we work through the gravity of this loss,” she added.  If you or someone you know is in crisis, call 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Uvalde.  What do you intend to do about it, Mr. U.S. Attorney General?

The Washington Post reports:

"The nation’s top law enforcement official on Thursday punctuated a scathing report on police failures during the 2022 massacre at Robb Elementary School by declaring that “lives would have been saved” if officers had responded quickly. Families of the victims bowed their heads and looked at the floor as Attorney General Merrick Garland told them that law enforcement’s 77-minute delay in confronting the gunman also impacted the medical response to the mass shooting. “The report concludes that had law enforcement agencies followed generally accepted practices in an active shooter situation and gone right after the shooter to stop him, lives would have been saved and people would have survived,” Garland said. The Justice Department’s report is a damning 575-page catalogue of confusion, lack of courage and their deadly consequences. Many of the grim, maddening details of the faulty response were already known, but the federal report is the fullest, most detailed account of one of the worst school shootings in the nation’s history. The report is highly critical of local police commanders but also criticizes state law enforcement, saying its officers added to the disorganization and confusion that contributed to delays and indecision after a young gunman burst into the school. “Leadership in law enforcement is absolutely critical, especially in moments of dire challenge,” the report said. “It requires courageous action and steadiness in a chaotic environment. … This leadership was absent for too long in the Robb Elementary School law enforcement response.” Minute by minute and step by step, the report traces how police officers first arrived at the school but quickly retreated in the face of gunfire, deciding to treat a gunman in a room with dozens of children as a barricaded suspect and wait for backup."

Outrageously gutless.

"During that time, police officers spent about 40 minutes searching for a key to a classroom space that, the federal reviewers concluded, was probably unlocked the entire time. The pointless search for keys “was partly the cause of the significant delay," and police never tried to simply turn the doorknob, the report found. Overall, local authorities were unprepared for the crisis and swamped by the demands of the day. They were also unable to keep the crime scene clear of contamination or give families of the victims accurate information, the reviewers found. The death notification process was “disorganized” and “chaotic,” the report said. “Family members encountered many obstacles to locating their loved ones, getting access to the hospital, and getting information from leadership, law enforcement, and hospital staff in a timely matter.” Garland and senior Justice Department official Vanita Gupta traveled to Uvalde to meet with victims’ families and hold a news conference to announce the findings. Garland described the law enforcement response in the hours and days after the shooting as “a failure.” “As a consequence of failed leadership, training, and policies, 33 students and three of their teachers — many of whom had been shot — were trapped in a room with an active shooter for over an hour as law enforcement officials remained outside,” he said."

Report goes on and on and on in great detail.  Other than empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric, Mr. Attorney General, what the hell are you going to do about it?  Eviscerate the Second Amendment?  When will the jackbooted bastards in law enforcement finally be held accountable for their failures and criminal behavior?

Think Biden will ever stand tall against the Israeli aggressor?  NBC News reports:

"Secretary of State Antony Blinken dialed up pressure on Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday over the future of the Gaza Strip, laying bare the Biden administration’s growing frustrations with the Israeli prime minister’s rejection of a proposal last week. “There’s a profound opportunity for regionalization in the Middle East, in the greater Middle East that we have not had before,” Blinken said during an interview at the World Economic Forum's summit in Davos, Switzerland. “The challenge is realizing it.” Asked if Netanyahu is the prime minister for seizing this opportunity, Blinken said, "These are decisions for Israelis to make," adding, “This is an inflection point." Blinken’s comments, made during an interview with New York Times columnist Tom Friedman, come just a week after a trip to the Middle East to try to get Israel and Arab leaders to agree on a path forward for Gaza once the war with Hamas ends. The Biden administration and Netanyahu’s divisions over Israel’s handling of its war with Hamas, as well as the Israeli leader’s refusal to consider U.S. proposals for a post-war Gaza, have only become more pronounced since Blinken’s visit to Israel, according to multiple senior administration officials. The secretary of state returned to Washington, the officials said, having been rebuffed by Netanyahu on all but one of the administration’s asks: an understanding that Israel would not attack Hezbollah in Lebanon."

Time for Biden to cut off all funding of the Israeli regime.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
