Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable. Time to step up.  Now.

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Three hundred ninety eight weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Hey, Sheriff?  Reportedly, promote Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 to Sergeant?  If true, yet another classic example of survival of the unfittest in the law enforcement community.  Readers are reminded this is the very same idiot, clueless asshole responsible for thousands of dollars of damage to the Pace Arrow as reported in each edition of this publication.  Far more to Kingsland property owner James Berardi in a property dispute.  -- A dispute engineered by Johnny Greene, apparently financed by a bribe to the former County Attorney, current District Attorney, and Sheriff.  A federal investigation of Llano County government and the aforementioned allegedly corrupt and abusive bastards in this ongoing fiasco is desperately needed.  Tim Chorney.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Three hundred ninety eight weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Three hundred ninety eight weeks.  Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Newsletter Text 853
December 8, 2023

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

The carnage never ends.  NBC News reports:

"The eight Akron, Ohio, police officers involved in the fatal shooting of Jayland Walker, a 25-year-old Black motorist who was shot 46 times in June 2022, were in compliance with the department's use of force policies, an internal investigation has found."

Executions are apparently now within Akron's use of force policies.

"The findings come seven months after a special grand jury declined to bring charges against the officers, finding they were justified in their use of force."

How about that?

"Police officers tried to pull him over for an alleged traffic violation, a darkened license plate light, and a car chase ensued. During that pursuit, they “reported a firearm being discharged from the suspect vehicle,” the Akron Police Department said."

The murderous jackbooted bastards in blue couldn't be lying, could they?

"When Walker jumped out of his moving car, officers pursued him on foot and eventually opened fire. The eight officers fired 94 shots in about 6.7 seconds, prosecutors previously said. An autopsy determined he was hit 46 times. Walker was unarmed at the time, but a gun was found in his car."

Did the bastards plant it?  To cover an execution?

"Two probes were launched into the fatal shooting, one by the Ohio Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigation that led to the grand jury's decision and the other by the police department that concluded Tuesday. Akron Police Chief Steve Mylett said the department's internal investigation concluded the officers were “in compliance” with police policies."

Most convenient, isn't it?  LOL.

'Fox guarding the chicken coop:'

“I found that the facts and circumstances of this tragic shooting show that the officers had an objectively reasonable belief that Mr. Walker was armed and by his conduct presented an imminent risk of serious bodily injury or death to them and/or their fellow officers,” he said in a statement."

Most convenient, isn't it?  So is the following:

"The department's probe found an officer involved in the Walker shooting had an extension to his agency magazine that increased capacity up to six additional rounds the night of the shooting, as well as two rounds of "training" ammunition. That officer told authorities he thought it was allowed and wouldn't knowingly violate agency policies."

LOL.  What a crock of shit.  So is the following:

"A review of policies and procedures found “an absence of clear language addressing the topic.” Ultimately, Mylett said that officer did not “intentionally violate” any polices, the agency has “adjusted policies where needed” and the officer involved was verbally counseled “to pay closer attention when reloading his magazines.”

Think a slap on the wrist mitigates what amounts to an execution?

"The investigation also identified potential violations of department policies regarding vehicle pursuits: Two patrol cruisers got involved in the car chase with Walker without specific authorization from the on-duty supervisor and two officers in one of those cruisers failed to immediately activate their body cameras. However, Mylett said, those officers didn't "intentionally" violate policies."

Jesus Christ.  What a crock of shit.  Think the murderous jackbooted bastards weren't doing all they could to cover their ass?  Give me a break.  This is precisely the problem with the 'fox guarding the chicken coop.'

“In the future, the activation of cameras during a vehicle pursuit will be resolved by the adoption of our recently implemented in-car camera program,” he added."

Really?  Think that'll happen?  LOL.

"Mylett also found the deployment of Tasers on Walker by two officers was within policies and procedures."

That right?  Most convenient, isn't it?  Surprised the Chief would do all he could to protect and coddle his jackbooted bastards?

"He said “the dynamic of the routine traffic stop drastically changed” to “a significant public safety and officer safety issue” after authorities thought Walker fired a shot."

Think the jackbooted bastards weren't lying like hell to cover their murderous asses?

The following certainly demonstrates desperation on the part of the Chief to protect and coddle his murderous jackbooted bastards:

"Walker exited his vehicle wearing a ski mask on a warm summer night, “further causing the officers to fear a more severe crime,” the police chief said. Walker allegedly refused to comply with commands to show his hands and while fleeing on foot, he “turned towards officers, reached to his waistband and raised his arm in a shooting posture” — a move that caused officers to believe he was armed and intended to open fire, the statement said. As a result, officers opened fire “to protect themselves and their fellow officers,” the chief said, concluding the response of deadly force was “objectively reasonable.”

A goddamned execution considered reasonableBy a Chief desperate to protect and coddle his murderous jackbooted bastards.

The family attorney poignantly says it all:

"Walker family attorney Bobby DiCello told NBC affiliate WKYC of Cleveland: "Everyone should be encouraged to read what the Chief of Police wrote. He said Jayland’s shooting was in compliance with the policies of the Akron Police Department. That says it all. While not unexpected, it is exactly this position that makes it critical for us to continue the lawsuit on behalf of Jayland Walker’s family."

No question.

"In June, Walker’s family filed a $45 million lawsuit against the city, mayor and police chief that alleges the eight police officers who shot Walker used excessive force and participated in a “culture of violence and racism” within the department."

Expect better in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only?  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Insult to injury?  Galling injustice?  Get this:

"The officers involved in the case were placed on administrative leave following the shooting, but returned to full-time active duty in October."

Ideastream Public Media reports:

"An internal investigation by the Akron Police Department has found that the eight officers involved in the shooting death of Jayland Walker were justified in their actions, according to an executive summary by Chief Steve Mylett. Walker was shot and killed by Akron police officers on June 27, 2022, after failing to pull over for a traffic stop and leading police on a car and foot chase. His death led to outrage and protests in the city, calling for racial justice and police accountability. Voters passed a charter amendment in November 2022 creating the Citizens' Police Oversight Board to monitor police conduct. A special grand jury declined to press charges against the eight officers involved in the shooting. The officers have been back on active duty since October."

'Fox guarding the chicken coop:'

"The department's internal investigation has been ongoing since the grand jury's decision was released last April, Mylett said, with the intent to determine if any department policies or procedures were violated during the shooting. "In my opinion, the use of deadly force was in compliance with the policies of the City of Akron Police Department," he wrote in the executive summary, adding that the use of force was "objectively reasonable" based on the evidence presented to the grand jury. The department's use of force policy follows the law set by the United States Supreme Court, with the standard that allows for use of deadly force in instances where an officer is at imminent risk of bodily harm or death, Mylett wrote."

Even if your jackbooted bastards are lying like hell to protect their sorry, murderous asses?

"I found that the facts and circumstances of this tragic shooting show that the officers had an objectively reasonable belief that Mr. Walker was armed and by his conduct presented an imminent risk of serious bodily injury or death to them and/or their fellow officers," he wrote."

You're not lying like hell to protect your jackbooted bastards and your department's sorry reputation, are you, Chief?

Not surprisingly:

"In a statement, the Akron Fraternal Order of Police said it will continue to support the eight officers involved in the shooting and that it agrees with the findings of the internal investigation. Mayor Dan Horrigan released a statement in support of the findings. “I support Chief Mylett's administrative assessment in this case, and I thank the Akron Police Department for their painstaking review of the facts and the evidence," he said. The city declined an interview request."

Afraid they'd be confronted with the truth by aggressive reporters?

"Walker's family filed suit against the city and the department last June. Family lawyer Bobby DiCello released a statement Tuesday speaking out against the findings. "While not unexpected, it is exactly this position that makes it critical for us to continue the lawsuit on behalf of Jayland Walker’s family," he said. "In fact, it is exactly because of this position, that we look forward to moving this case further through our justice system.“ In a statement, Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes, whose district includes all of Akron, said conversations about policing in Akron are not over. "Despite the findings of this report, we can all agree there is still significant work that needs to be done to rebuild trust between the Akron Police Department and the people they swore an oath to protect and serve," she said. “This report does not eliminate the need for ongoing conversations about how to move forward together as a community and ensure meaningful actions that will keep everyone in our city safe."

Empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric.  Fails to mitigate an execution perpetrated by the jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.

"Strong Sykes has continued to call on the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate the patterns and practices of the police department. The shooting sparked calls for police reform. Voters approved a charter amendment to create a Citizens’ Police Oversight Board, which will review police misconduct complaints."

Man's inhumanity to his fellow man.  CBS News(AP) reports:

"A former high-ranking guard at a federal prison in Virginia has been sentenced to three years in prison for failing to help an inmate who suffered a medical emergency and later died, the Justice Department announced Tuesday."

Sad, isn't it?

"Michael Anderson, 52, was a lieutenant at a medium-security prison in Petersburg. He was the second-highest ranking officer there during several hours when the inmate's health crisis took place in 2021."

An experienced officer who certainly knew better.

"The inmate, identified only as W.W., exhibited sudden symptoms that included incoherence and the inability to stand, according to court filings by federal prosecutors. He continuously fell inside his cell and later in a suicide-watch cell. He later fell headfirst into a doorframe, according to prosecutors. "As W.W. laid alone on the floor, naked and covered in bruises and abrasions, no correctional officer responded to his medical emergency or otherwise rendered aid to W.W. for nearly an hour and forty minutes," prosecutors wrote."

Pitiful.  Pathetic.  Had the victim been a family member, neighbor, friend, fellow employee, etc., think he would have ignored it?

"W.W. died of blunt force trauma to the head, according to prosecutors. A medical examiner said he would have lived if he had "been hospitalized and examined at any point in his ordeal."

Gets worse.  Get this:

"The man's cellmate, correctional officers and suicide watch observers had notified prison supervisors and asked for help, prosecutors wrote. They said Anderson was one of the supervisors who failed to act. Anderson pleaded guilty in July to one count of deprivation of civil rights. Prosecutors asked for a sentence of nearly five years to nearly six years in prison, which fell within the guideline range. Anderson's attorney, Jessica Richardson, wrote in a court filing that Anderson clearly failed to act, but the inmate's death "was a collaborative failure on the part of multiple staff members."

Why haven't others been prosecuted?  Each and every one of them who was aware and did nothing?  Shit squat?

"She noted Anderson's stellar record and lack of any disciplinary issues over many years."

The above doesn't absolve this officer of his failure to act.

"This is a man that made a huge mistake, with devastating consequences, one that he has taken accountability and responsibility for," Richardson wrote."

Precisely, why he needs to do his time.

Chauvin follow-up.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"A federal inmate was charged Friday with attempted murder in the prison stabbing of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of murdering George Floyd. John Turscak stabbed Chauvin 22 times in the law library at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson, Arizona, with an improvised knife, federal prosecutors said. Turscak, 52, told correctional officers he would've killed Chauvin had they not responded so quickly, prosecutors said. Turscak later told FBI agents that he’d been thinking about assaulting Chauvin for about a month because he is a high-profile inmate but denied wanting to kill him, prosecutors said. Turscak told the agents that he attacked Chauvin on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, as a symbolic connection to the Black Lives Matter movement and the “Black Hand” symbol associated with the Mexican Mafia gang, prosecutors said. An attorney for Turscak was not listed in court records and Turscak, who has represented himself in numerous court matters from prison, remained in custody on Friday."

Readers will recall:

"Chauvin, 47, was sent to FCI Tucson from a maximum-security Minnesota state prison in August 2022 to simultaneously serve a 21-year federal sentence for violating Floyd’s civil rights and a 22½-year state sentence for second-degree murder. Chauvin’s lawyer, Eric Nelson, had advocated for keeping him out of general population and away from other inmates, anticipating he’d be a target. In Minnesota, Chauvin was mainly kept in solitary confinement “largely for his own protection,” Nelson wrote in court papers last year."

Readers will also recall:

"Floyd, who was Black, died on May 25, 2020, after Chauvin, who is white, pressed a knee on his neck for 9½ minutes on the street outside a convenience store where Floyd was suspected of trying to pass a counterfeit $20 bill. Bystander video captured Floyd’s fading cries of “I can’t breathe.” His death touched off protests worldwide, some of which turned violent, and forced a national reckoning with police brutality and racism."

Sadly, has certainly not ended all the abuse and murders of innocent, unarmed civilians perpetrated by the jackbooted bastards in blue.

Positive change.  Can we stand it?  Colorado Public Radio reports:

"Starting in January 2024, Colorado’s law enforcement officers will no longer recognize “excited delirium” as an official diagnosis. This change comes in the wake of Elijah McClain's death. Colorado’s law enforcement officers will no longer recognize “excited delirium” after a state regulatory board voted to strike the controversial diagnosis on Friday from all training documents starting in January. The move, which was passed at the state Peace Officers Standards and Training board meeting unanimously and without debate, comes as two Aurora paramedics face felony charges for giving Elijah McClain, an unarmed, innocent Black man, an overdose of ketamine, in part, because they believed he was suffering from the condition. Advocates have long been critical of the diagnosis, which was mostly a law enforcement term used to characterize suspects acting hyperactive or agitated during police encounters. The term has a history of being racially charged: The Virginia Law Review looked at 166 in-custody deaths between 2010 and 2020 and found that 56 percent attributed “excited delirium” to Black and Latino victims. Critics say the diagnosis is often used to absolve law enforcement from culpability when someone dies in custody."

Most convenient for the jackbooted bastards in blue.

“If you look at the racist descriptions they use against Black people … him being wild, him being in a fit, it’s a legal justification for a racial stereotype. It’s been overused … it all works together to help provide this defense to law enforcement.”
    — Hashim Coates, Aurora community activist and political strategist"

Sad, isn't it?

"A handful of prominent physician groups have also sharply criticized the term since George Floyd’s 2020 death and the national outcry against racist policing. In 2021, the American Medical Association said that current evidence doesn’t support the diagnosis at all. In April, the National Association of Medical Examiners called for its members to stop using “excited delirium” as a cause of death. And in October, the American College of Emergency Physicians withdrew one of its earlier research papers on the subject and disavowed the term."

Readers will recall:

"McClain, a 23-year-old massage therapist, was walking home from a convenience store in August 2019 when three Aurora police officers stopped him after receiving a call about a suspicious person. He was forcibly taken to the ground, given two carotid holds, which cut blood flow off to his brain, and handcuffed while he was vomiting into the mask he was wearing and inhaling it. When paramedics arrived, he was given, involuntarily,  500mg of the powerful sedative ketamine, which was too large a dose for his body weight. McClain was catatonic and not speaking at that time, but law enforcement officers can be heard on body-worn cameras telling the medics that he was exhibiting “crazy” strength and that he nearly did a push-up with all three officers holding him down at one time. McClain lost his pulse in the ambulance and never regained consciousness. He was declared brain-dead a few days later. Three officers and the two paramedics, Jeremy Cooper and Peter Cichuniec, were charged in his death. Two officers have been acquitted and one, Randy Roedema, was convicted of criminally negligent homicide. Cooper and Cichuniec, who are amid their trial now as co-defendants, followed their protocol for “excited delirium” in 2019, their attorneys said in opening statements, which calls for use of chemical sedation."

Most fortunately:

"McClain’s death sparked state lawmakers to pass a new law that strictly limited the use of ketamine in non-medical settings. State Rep. Judy Amabile, who represents Boulder, has been outspoken about reforming police language and training in mental health crises. “I’m really glad to see this,” she said. “Now we need to make sure we don’t substitute one term for another term and we do in fact change the culture a little bit and say we are going to describe symptoms and we’re going to train on appropriate responses to the behaviors we are seeing.” And now, police officers are not going to be allowed to use the term, or train on the diagnosis, at all. State officials also voted to strike other terms from law enforcement training manuals, including “cocaine psychosis” and “sudden in custody death.” “Students will learn and understand procedures for first aid and transfer to medical care of subjects who are in custody,” the state document said. “The students will learn and understand law enforcement roles in violent encounters with subjects in altered mental states or a justifiable medical emergency.” The Peace Officers Standards and Training, or POST, board started looking into striking the term from all law enforcement language about six months ago and voted on it today after a presentation from a subcommittee charged in improving arrest control tactics training, said Erik Bourgerie, the POST director. Fort Collins Police Chief Jeff Swoboda, who is on the POST board and voted to strike the term, said he supports the move away from the diagnoses in favor of more neutral terms that talk about suspects in “distress.”

What took so long?

“Looking at distress and the care people should receive after any sort of arrest and when they’re in custody and getting the help that they need is where my understanding was,” he said. “And now recognizing, if someone is in distress whatsoever, how should we treat people in custody?” Coates, who was among the activists pushing for answers from Aurora city officials since 2019 in McClain’s death, said he’s watched the body-worn camera and McClain didn’t show any signs of combativeness with law enforcement that night and that officers were clearly using the language that he was “crazy strong” as a move to protect themselves.

“He was not wild. I’m sure that Elijah threw bigger fits when he was being disciplined as a kid than he did that day with the police officers. I didn’t hear that type of rage. I’ve seen people be combative with police, and that wasn’t there.”
    — Hashim Coates, Aurora community activist and political strategist"

Kid allegedly assaulted by officer.  NBC News reports:

"An 8-year-old boy with ADHD was allegedly pinned facedown on the ground and told "I should be taking you to jail!" by a school resource officer at his Wyoming elementary school, leaving him bleeding on the face and traumatized, a new federal lawsuit claims. The second grade boy, who was identified by the initials J.D., did nothing to provoke the use of force, according the complaint filed Nov. 27 in the U.S. District of Wyoming said. The incident unfolded on Feb. 15, 2022, at Freedom Elementary School, located at the Francis E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, where J.D.’s father was serving. The suit was filed against Deputy Benjamin Jacquot and his employer, the Laramie County Sheriff's Office. It claims the department and officer violated the boy's rights and a state policy against use of prone-position restraints in schools. After the incident, Jacquot allegedly deleted portions of the assault from his body camera and pulled the boy's private school records, but was never disciplined by his department, the complaint contends."

The following is allegedly what went down:

"On Feb. 15, 2022, J.D., who was diagnosed with a neurodivergent disability, went to the school principal's office for his lunch recess — something he had been doing for the past four days as part of his individualized education plan (IEP) and behavior plan, the complaint said. An IEP is a program in public schools to give students with disabilities specialized instruction and services. His teacher and the principal spoke with J.D. about comments he had made to the adult cashier in the lunchroom and whether he should apologize, the suit contends. Deputy Jacquot's body cam captured the first five minutes of their talk showing a “calm, peaceful and appropriate interaction" between J.D., his principal and his teacher. Then the footage appeared to be deleted. The school's principal, Chad Delbridge, described the assault, which appeared to be deleted from the footage, in a written report. When J.D. stood up and began walking away from the principal to return to class, deputy Jacquot "grabbed J.D. by the arm," the suit said, citing Delbridge's account. Jacquot then allegedly "forcibly wrestled J.D. into a nearby conference room using an armlock," repeatedly slammed J.D. face down onto the floor, and climbed on top of the 68-pound boy to pin him facedown. The boy was coughing and struggling to breathe, the complaint said. When Jacquot’s bodycam footage picked back up, it showed J.D. pinned underneath him as the child screamed and cried and was seen with blood on his face. In the footage, J.D. repeatedly said “I give up” and in response the deputy screamed, “No, its all me! Do you understand me! I should be taking you to jail!” the complaint claimed. The suit said the principal and teacher never requested the deputy to get involved. The use of the prone restraint position is banned in schools under Wyoming Administrative Code. Grabbing a child by the arm is also a violation of Wyoming public school policy."

Report goes on and on in great detail.

Appalling abuse of a prisoner.  NBC News reports:

"An Alabama police officer is on leave after a video posted on social media showed her cursing at and using a stun gun on a man who was handcuffed and crying. The video begins with a handcuffed man lying in the street as an officer with the Reform Police Department tells him to stand up. The officer then walks the man over to a car, the footage shows. "Stay still," the officer says as she pushes him against the hood of the car and holds her stun gun to his back. "I ain’t doing s---, bro," the man responds. "I got a gun right there." As the officer removes the gun from the man's pants, she laughs and says, "oh yeah!" "What you saying 'oh, yeah' for?" the man asks. The officer responds by using her stun gun on the man, the video shows. "Shut the f--- up," she says. The man starts crying. "OK, OK, OK," he repeats. "Oh my God." "You want it again?" the officer asks as the man continues to cry. "Shut the f--- up. You was big and bad, shut your b---- a-- up." The video then ends. It's unclear what happened before or after the 45-second clip posted to Facebook, and the Reform Police Department has shared very little information about the Dec. 2 incident."

Why no transparency?

"In a brief statement, police Chief Richard Black and Reform Mayor Melody Davis said they were aware of the video, and the department is "in the process of turning over all materials related to this arrest to the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation." "In accordance with City Policy, the officer involved has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation is conducted," the statement said. Further questions about the incident were directed to the State Bureau of Investigation. NBC affiliate WVTM of Birmingham, Alabama, identified the man as Micah Washington, 24, of Tuscaloosa. His girlfriend, Jalexis Rice, said the officer pulled up as Washington and two other people were changing a tire on their car. Rice said the video made her upset. "When I seen it, I couldn’t do nothing but cry," she told the news station. "I couldn’t do nothing but cry."

Piled on the charges:

"Online jail records show that Washington was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental operations, possession of marijuana, drug trafficking, and an ex-felon being in possession of a firearm. He is being held at the Pickens County jail on a $505,000 bond, according to jail records. On Monday night, Washington's loved ones and members of the community gathered near the city hall to protest the arrest and demand accountability, according to WVTM. Black and Davis said they have requested a thorough investigation into the incident."

Think that will happen?

No transparency.  NBC News reports:

"Defying presidents and Congress, the ATF, DEA, FBI and U.S. Marshals shroud their shootings in secrecy.  Despite nearly 30 years of demands for transparency, the DOJ's law enforcement agencies release little data about whom they shoot, why and when, and they rarely use body cameras. Congress and a string of presidents for nearly 30 years have been pushing federal law enforcement to reform and become more transparent. But those four agencies overseen by the Justice Department, among the most prestigious in the country, have been slow to adopt reforms long embraced by big-city police departments, such as the use of body cameras and the release of comprehensive use-of-force data."

To cover their outrageously corrupt and abusive asses.

"To understand how often federal officers and their task forces use deadly force, NBC News built a database of shootings that involved officers working for or with the ATF, the DEA, the FBI and the Marshals Service by reviewing five years’ worth of public documents, news releases, lawsuits and news reports. From 2018 to 2022, 223 people were shot by an on-duty federal officer, a member of a federal task force or a local officer participating in an operation with federal agents, according to an NBC News analysis. A total of 151 were killed, an average of 30 per year. Examinations of the incidents revealed that the Justice Department’s law enforcement agencies continue to use tactics that many big-city police departments now shun. They have fired at moving cars and shot people within seconds of encounters — without taking steps to de-escalate the situations."

Get this:

"Some federal law enforcement practices have generated disputes with local police chiefs, in addition to civil rights leaders, who question why federal officers aren’t held to the same standards as state and city law enforcement officers. Although the Justice Department has forced local law enforcement, like the Baltimore and Los Angeles police departments, to reform, its own agencies are legally exempt from similar oversight. The use-of-force data the Justice Department agencies publish is so limited that it is hard to determine who was shot, why, when and by whom. President Joe Biden has been pushing for reforms, and during his administration, the Justice Department has updated its use-of-force policy for the first time in nearly 20 years. The department now requires its officers to intervene when they witness excessive force and limits the use of so-called no-knock warrants and other controversial tactics. “The Department of Justice recognizes the importance of transparency and accountability in its law enforcement operations," Peter Carr, a department spokesperson, said in a statement."

Think so?  Believe it?

"He added that the use-of-force policy was updated to "ensure it parallels the best practices of federal, state and local law enforcement” and that the Justice Department is committed to "full implementation" of body cameras for its agents. But some of the department's toughest critics remain its former leaders, who say Biden's reforms aren't enough. Federal law enforcement is “the most opaque” of all law enforcement in the U.S., said Jonathan M. Smith, a former section chief in the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. Because of an “inability to actually get basic information,” said Smith, now a civil rights attorney who has sued federal officers for allegedly abusive practices, it can be difficult to influence how the agencies operate or hold them accountable. “There are no consequences for these federal agencies,” he said. “We often find that they’re engaged in behaviors that either violate the Constitution or that are contrary to the values of a democratic society.”

Rapes perpetrated by prison officer.  NBC News reports:

"A former private prisoner transport officer in New Mexico pleaded guilty on Monday to sexually assaulting three female pretrial detainees, authorities said. Marquet Johnson, 44, raped two of the women and forced another to perform oral sex during prisoner transports in 2019, said a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice. He faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison, followed by up to five years of supervised release. He also must pay the victims damages. “Nobody, no matter the crime of which they are being accused, deserves to be raped,” said U.S. Attorney Alexander M.M. Uballez for the District of New Mexico in a press release. “When jailers fail their duty to those in their charge, they will join them in custody.”

Rightfully, so.

"Johnson's first victim was a female pretrial detainee being transported from a jail in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Colorado in November of 2019. While the van was stopped for gas and Johnson's transport partner had walked away, the perpetrator removed the victim’s ankle restraints, rested a weapon on his lap, and ordered her to partially remove her clothing and lie down, according to the Justice Department. The victim told Johnson she was uncomfortable multiple times, and Johnson told her to cooperate, "otherwise, it was going to get ugly." He admitted that he held the weapon against her cheek while raping her, said the department's press release. Laura Schauer Ives, an attorney representing the victim, said her client is grateful that Johnson will be incapacitated and unable to rape others while he is in jail. “There’s nothing within the justice system that makes up for what he did to her,” said Schauer Ives."

That's right.

"In July 2019, Johnson forced a non-consenting female pretrial detainee to perform oral sex on him, prosecutors said. The victim was being transported from Spencer, Indiana, to San Marcos, Texas. Johnson admitted to assaulting her while the van had stopped at the ISC headquarters in West Memphis, Arkansas. Johnson’s third victim was a woman being transported from Baker County, Oregon, to Warrensburg, Missouri, in August of 2019. The perpetrator admitted to raping the detainee while the transport van had stopped at a hotel, and later forcing her to perform oral sex on him. "This egregious conduct violates federal civil rights law, and the Justice Department will continue to resolutely seek justice for the survivors of these heinous crimes," said Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. At the time of the assaults, Johnson worked for Inmate Services Corporation (ISC). The Arkansas-based private prisoner transport service settled a $625,000 class action lawsuit in September, which alleged the company subjected inmates to “cruel and unusual” conditions during prison transport. The company did not admit to any wrongdoing. ISC could not be reached for comment Monday."

Surprised?

"In November of last year, Rogeric Hankins, 37, pled guilty to sexually assaulting a female detainee while he was working for ISC, said a press release from the Department of Justice. The District Attorney of New Mexico is prosecuting Johnson's case, with assistance from the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices for the Eastern District of Arkansas and Western District of Missouri."

Liz Cheney stands tall.  NPR reports:

"Republican Liz Cheney has made no secret of her criticism of former President Donald Trump. It's what made her an outcast in her own party and cost her her job in Congress last year."

Indeed, Uncommon Valor.

"The former Wyoming representative was one of just 10 Republicans to back his second impeachment in 2021. She became one of two Republicans on the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, for which she explicitly blamed Trump. Cheney's vocal and sustained criticism of the former president led to her losing her leadership role as the No. 3 House Republican and, eventually, her primary campaign for reelection."

Stood tall on principle.  Cost her dearly.  Clearly, has not given up:

"Now, with Trump leading the polls in the 2024 Republican primary, Cheney is ramping up her efforts to keep him out of the Oval Office. She tells NPR's Morning Edition she hasn't ruled out her own presidential run in 2024 for that reason. "I look at it very much through the lens of stopping Donald Trump," she said. "And so whatever it will take to do that is very much my focus. I think the danger is that great that that needs to be everybody's top priority."

Trump, an autocratic nazi, remains a threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"This week Cheney releases Oath and Honor: A Memoir and a Warning, a no-holds-barred accounting from inside the Republican party of the days before and after Jan. 6, Trump's efforts to remain in office after losing the 2020 election and her often-lonely role in trying to thwart them. Cheney name-checks members of GOP leadership too, including former and current House speakers Kevin McCarthy and Mike Johnson."

Where are other Republicans? Delusionally, out to lunch?  Why so gutlessly silent?

"Cheney tells Morning Edition's Leila Fadel that the dangers she describes in the book are ongoing, from Trump's defiance of the institutions meant to check him, to the Republican politicians who she says put their own career ambitions ahead of their duty to the Constitution."

She's right.

"People really, I think, need to understand and recognize the specifics, the details of what he tried to do in terms of overturning the election and seizing power and the details and the specifics of the elected officials who helped him," she said. "I do think it's very important for people to understand how close we came to a far greater constitutional crisis — and how quickly and easily — in a way that is, frankly, terrifying."

No question.  Yet, most Republicans remain gutlessly silent.

"Cheney does credit a handful of brave Republicans in state and federal offices from stopping "the worst of what could have happened." But she says many of those people won't be there the next time around. The stakes for the country, she adds, "couldn't be higher."

That's right.

"All of these things that we know Donald Trump and those who enabled him did before, they will do again," she said. "And people who are willing to abide by that, including Republicans in Congress, can't be trusted with power. And that's something that voters need to have at the forefront of their minds when they go into the voting booth in 2024."

Truer words never spoken. Hat's off, Madam Cheney.

"Cheney isn't afraid to name names in her book. Among them: She describes McCarthy, the former speaker, as a coward and hypocrite who knew Trump's election claims to be false but defended them publicly anyway. She calls Johnson, the current speaker, an election denier who was easily swayed by Trump's flattery well before he ascended to House leadership. She invoked such examples, she says, to show how "it didn't take much for people to decide that they were going to ignore the most fundamental obligation I believe elected officials have." She says many Republicans — herself included — anticipated Trump would bring legal challenges immediately after the 2020 election and then concede by the time the Electoral College met to certify its results. Courts across the country dismissed more than 50 lawsuits from Trump's team alleging electoral fraud. Trump and his allies focused on overturning the election results through an elaborate scheme that culminated in the Capitol riot, as detailed by the Jan. 6 committee's investigation and alleged by a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., where he faces criminal charges."

Trump clearly incited the riot.  No question.

Get this:

"Cheney says in the days after Jan. 6 there was "near unanimity in the sense that Donald Trump was responsible for what happened." Republicans proposed legislation that would have censured Trump, and floated a bipartisan commission to investigate what it called a "domestic terrorist attack." "It was common sense," she added. "We'd lived through it." But that near-unanimity began to dissipate very quickly, which she attributes to two factors: elected officials putting their own political ambitions ahead of their oath to the Constitution, and their fear — including of violence. Cheney writes that some members of Congress told her at the time that they believed Trump should be impeached but couldn't vote that way because they were afraid for their security and that of their family. She urged listeners not to gloss over that fact. "People really need to stop and think about: What does it mean in America that members of Congress are not voting the way that they believe they should because they fear violence instigated by, then, the sitting president of the United States?" she adds, calling that "a place we haven't been before."

That's right.  It's gutless.  Raw cowardice.  Un-American.  Nazism.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"And she says once her colleagues took that position they were able to rationalize it, which helps explain where the party stands now. "Once you've accepted something that is so indefensible, then it's hard ever to sort of go back and say, 'Well no actually, I should have stood against that.'"

Great insight.  Way too easy to excuse the indefensible.

"Cheney backed Trump's agenda some 93% of the time during her Congressional career. But says that after Jan. 6, as she saw it, "there never seemed to be a choice." "It was very clear what was right and what was wrong," she added. "It was very clear that we had gotten to a point where the president had crossed lines that could never be crossed. And as Republicans, we had a particular obligation to say, 'No, we won't support this.'"

Republicans failed to stand tall as they had a half-century ago during the Nixon debacle.  -- Remarkably, Nixon was a 'choir boy' compared to Trump.  LOL.

"In July 2021, then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced her picks to serve on the Jan. 6 panel: seven Democrats and Cheney, who, at the time, was still in GOP leadership. After a back-and-forth with McCarthy that led to him rescinding his Republican picks, Pelosi also appointed Adam Kinzinger, a Republican Trump critic who did not seek reelection in 2022. Cheney says it would have been inconceivable to her a year earlier that she would be accepting a committee appointment from Pelosi, with whom she disagreed vehemently on policy matters. She doesn't recall the two ever speaking more than a few sentences to each other in Cheney's six years in Congress. But she says she didn't hesitate to accept, and their relationship became "absolutely indispensable" as Pelosi worked to support the committee's efforts. "As passionately as we both care about our views on a whole range of issues, and they're different, we both knew immediately that that did not matter as much as doing everything we could to defend the Constitution," Cheney said."

That's what Americans do.  No matter the personal cost.

"All members of the Jan. 6 committee recognized that "partisanship could not rule the day," and that they needed to let the witnesses and the evidence speak for themselves, which is what Cheney believes made it successful. The committee held ten televised hearings that attracted millions of viewers, culminating in an 800-page report and four criminal referrals of Trump to the U.S. Justice Department. And while some of the people singled out by the committee as collaborators are facing racketeering charges in Georgia, many others remain in positions of political leadership — and Trump leads the Republican primary pack, despite facing 91 felony counts across four criminal cases."

A first in American history.  A disgrace.

"Cheney says the committee's work was "crucial and indispensable" both in terms of informing the Justice Department's work and presenting evidence of Trump's involvement for the historical record. And she says it's far from over. "Looking to the future requires that we acknowledge what happened and how dangerous it was and certainly not put those same people back into office again," she added. "Making sure that that story is written and that story's told is very important as we think about, particularly, the election that's coming up next year."

Trump remains an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

"Cheney was a notable figure in conservative politics well before she was elected to represent Wyoming in Congress in 2017. She worked on her father Dick Cheney's campaign when he was George W. Bush's running mate in 2000, and focused on promoting democracy in the Middle East as a State Department aide in Bush's administration. She says she grew up in Republican politics and believes in the values of the party that former President Ronald Reagan, for example, embodied. But she doesn't recognize them in today's GOP, which she says has become "an anti-constitutional party."

Reagan wasn't what he claimed to be.  More than tripled the national debt during his two terms.  Consider that conservative?

"She points to the moment at the first Republican primary debate, when six out of the eight candidates onstage raised their hand to show they would support Trump as the nominee even if he were convicted. "I think if the party goes down the path of nominating Donald Trump, certainly the party itself will have lost any claim to be a party that is, in fact, supportive of the Constitution," Cheney added. She says it's a misconception that a second Trump term "wouldn't be that bad" because of the separation of powers and institutions that some have suggested would restrain him. One of the main messages of her book is that people can't actually count of them to work: a House led by Johnson full of lawmakers who have pledged allegiance to Trump, courts whose rulings Trump has made clear he will ignore, a Senate confirmation process that Trump could avoid, radical far-right figures who he would appoint to his administration. "Our republic can't sustain that," Cheney said, adding that "the Republican Party, as it exists today, is dangerous to the country."

It is.  No question.  Raw nazism.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"She says Republican leaders have chosen Trump and can't be counted on to stop him. But she called on the majority of Americans who do not support Trump (63% of Americans viewed him unfavorably as of a July Pew Research Center poll) to mobilize against him at the polls. "I think the most important thing to do now, without question, is to make sure we stop Donald Trump," Cheney said. "What American politics looks like after that, what the Republican Party — or a new Republican Party or a new conservative party — looks like after that remains to be seen."

Indeed.

Trump incitement of 1-6-21 Capitol riot.  The Washington Post reports:

"Federal prosecutors on Tuesday accused former president Donald Trump of a long pattern of lying about elections and encouraging violence, saying he “sent” supporters on Jan. 6, 2021 to criminally block the election results. In a new court filing, prosecutors working for special counsel Jack Smith went further than in their August indictment in attempting to tie him to that day’s violence, saying they intended to introduce evidence of his other acts both before the November 2020 presidential election and subsequent alleged threats to establish his motive, intent and preparation for subverting its legitimate results. “Evidence of the defendant’s post-conspiracy embrace of particularly violent and notorious rioters is admissible to establish the defendant’s motive and intent on January 6 — that he sent supporters, including groups like the Proud Boys, whom he knew were angry, and whom he now calls ‘patriots,’ to the Capitol to achieve the criminal objective of obstructing the congressional certification,” prosecutors alleged in a nine-page filing. They added, “At trial, the Government will introduce a number of public statements by the defendant in advance of the charged conspiracies, claiming that there would be fraud in the 2020 presidential election,” laying the “foundation for the defendant’s criminal efforts.”

What took so long?  Why almost three years to get to this point?  Why all the foot-dragging?

"Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges in what prosecutors say was a broad conspiracy to subvert the 2020 election by spewing a gusher of lies about purported election fraud and trying to get state local and federal officials to change the legitimate results to remain in power. A four-count federal indictment in Washington, D.C., alleges he plotted to defraud the federal election process, obstruct Congress’s certification of the vote in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack, and deprive Americans of their civil right to have their votes counted. It is one of four criminal cases charged this year against the former president. The others include a federal indictment in Florida over Trump’s alleged retention and mishandling of classified documents and obstruction after leaving the White House; a state trial in Georgia that involves similar allegations of trying to obstruct the state’s election results; and a New York state business fraud prosecution accusing Trump of covering up hush money payments made during his 2016 election campaign."

Get this:

"The charges: Former president Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to charges that he plotted to overturn the 2020 election in the run-up to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. Here’s a breakdown of the charges against Trump and what they mean, and things that stand out from the Trump indictment. The trial: Jury selection in the D.C. criminal trial is set to begin Feb. 9, with the trial set to begin March 4. U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan has imposed a gag order on Trump’s public statements in advance of the trial. The case: The special counsel’s office has been investigating whether Trump or those close to him violated the law by interfering with the lawful transfer of power after the 2020 presidential election or with Congress’s confirmation of the results on Jan. 6, 2021. It is one of several ongoing investigations involving Trump. Can Trump still run for president? While it has never been attempted by a candidate from a major party before, Trump is allowed to run for president while under indictment in four separate cases — or even if he is convicted of a crime."

Santos expelled.  The Washington Post reports:

"The House voted Friday to expel Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.) from Congress — an action the chamber had previously taken only five times in U.S. history and not for more than 20 years — in response to an array of alleged crimes and ethical lapses that came to light after the freshman lawmaker was found to have fabricated key parts of his biography. The resolution to expel Santos passed in a 311-114 vote, easily exceeding a required two-thirds threshold for removal, with numerous Republican lawmakers turning against Santos in what was the third effort to expel the New York congressman this year. Two Democrats voted present, and eight lawmakers did not vote. Nearly half of House Republicans voted to oust Santos even though some GOP leaders voiced concerns about setting a precedent by expelling a lawmaker who had not been convicted of a crime."

Why did this go on as long as it did?  Why was this guy tolerated as long as he was?  A precedent was indeed set.

"The vote followed the release two weeks ago of a 56-page Ethics Committee report that accused Santos of an array of misconduct — including stealing money from his campaign, deceiving donors about how contributions would be used, creating fictitious loans and engaging in fraudulent business dealings. Santos, the report alleges, spent hefty sums on personal enrichment, including visits to spas and casinos, shopping trips to high-end stores and payments to a subscription site that contains adult content."

Sadly, only scrapes the surface.

Aryan arrogant to the very end:

"Moments after the expulsion vote, Santos left the chamber and headed down the Capitol steps to his car, trailed by dozens of reporters. “You know what? As unofficially already no longer a member of Congress, I no longer have to answer a single question to you guys,” Santos said before his car pulled away."

What a piece of shit.  Egregiously unfit to be a congressman.

"Santos has long denied wrongdoing and resisted calls to resign, claiming at a news conference Thursday that fellow House members were “bullying” him and that the Ethics Committee report was incomplete and “littered with hyperbole.”

Think so?  Get this:

"Santos also faces 23 federal criminal counts, including fraud, money laundering, falsifying records and aggravated identity theft. He pleaded not guilty to those charges. Two previous efforts to oust Santos failed. But the latest push gained traction in part because the resolution was sponsored by Rep. Michael Guest (R-Miss.), the chairman of the ethics panel, and because of the audacity of the behavior alleged in the report. During House debate over the resolution Thursday, Guest defended the work and report of the panel, saying investigators spent eight months reviewing 172,000 pages of documents and interviewing 40 witnesses. The findings, he said, “were shocking.” He also emphasized that Santos had “ample opportunity to be heard” by investigators and the committee. “It almost would have been a dereliction of my duty if I did not support this,” Guest said Friday. “I did what I felt was right from a personal point of view.” The ethics committee did not make a formal recommendation or hold a public trial of Santos because the panel’s leaders believed Santos would use such a venue to try to delay the process to remain in office, Guest told reporters. Rep. Troy E. Nehls (R-Tex.), who previously said he did not support efforts to remove Santos, was among the handful of Republicans who argued during the floor debate against expelling the freshman lawmaker. Nehls claimed, without evidence, that the Ethics Committee had been “weaponized” against Santos. “You may accept this report as grounds for expulsion from Congress, but I say no,” Nehls said. “It’s not right. The totality of circumstance appears biased. It stinks of politics.”

So does your bullshit, Congressman.  Time to wake up.

More bullshit from Republican idiots egregiously unwilling to face reality:

"House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Wednesday expressed “real reservations” about the motion to expel Santos, citing the precedent it would set given that Santos hasn’t been convicted of a crime. But Johnson said lawmakers would be free to “vote their conscience.”

Big of him.

"On Friday, the GOP’s four top leaders — Johnson, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (La.), Majority Whip Tom Emmer (Minn.) and Rep. Elise Stefanik (N.Y.) — all voted to keep the indicted lawmaker in the House. Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), chairman of the House GOP’s campaign arm, was the only senior Republican leader to vote to expel Santos. Shortly before the vote, Stefanik wrote on social media that expelling a member who has not been convicted of a crime would be “a dangerous precedent.” “I am voting no based upon my concerns regarding due process,” she said. “I have said from the beginning that this process will play out in the judicial system, which it currently is.”

A judicial system that as usual drags its feet.

"Under New York law, Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) is required to call for a special election within 10 days of the vacancy of Santos’s seat, and that special election must be held between 70 and 80 days after the governor’s call. “I am prepared to undertake the solemn responsibility of filling the vacancy in New York’s 3rd District,” Hochul wrote Friday on X, the platform formally known as Twitter. “The people of Long Island deserve nothing less.” The campaign for the seat in 2024 has already attracted several candidates on both sides of the aisle. The vacancy gives Democrats a chance to flip the seat as the parties fight for the House majority in 2024. Joe Biden won Santos’s district — New York’s 3rd Congressional District — by more than 10 percentage points in 2020."

The following is certainly true:

"Expulsions from Congress are extremely rare. Only five members of the House have ever been expelled in American history: Three lawmakers were expelled in 1861 at the start of the Civil War for fighting for the Confederacy. Rep. Michael Myers (D-Pa.) was expelled in 1980 after he was convicted of bribery, and Rep. James Traficant (D-Ohio) was expelled in 2002 after being convicted of racketeering, bribery and fraud."

Insult to injury?  Get this:

"New allegations about Santos were emerging even as the vote was about to take place. Rep. Max L. Miller (R-Ohio) emailed all House Republicans on Friday morning to claim that the Santos campaign had charged the personal credit cards of Miller and his mother for contribution amounts that exceeded federal limits. A representative for Santos’s office did not respond to a request for comment on that allegation Friday."

What could he say?  LOL.  ... Sorry?

"Friday’s vote came 14 months after the North Shore Leader, a local Long Island newspaper, reported a suspicious and “inexplicable rise” in Santos’s reported net worth when he was still a congressional candidate. Months later, in December, the New York Times reported that Santos — by then a representative-elect — had fabricated much of his résumé and biography. Some of his fabrications were jarring — he claimed that his mother was in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001 — while others seemed merely far-fetched. For example, he had said he was captain of his college volleyball team. An array of local, state and federal investigations have since ensued. The Ethics Committee report depicted Santos as someone who had lied about multiple facets of his life. While Santos would boast about “significant wealth” and claimed to have access to a trust managed by a family firm, for example, the report alleged that Santos was “frequently in debt, had an abysmal credit score, and relied on an ever-growing wallet of high-interest credit cards to fund his luxury spending habits.” The ethics report also found “substantial evidence” that Santos knowingly violated ethics guidelines, House rules and criminal laws. “Representative Santos sought to fraudulently exploit every aspect of his House candidacy for his own personal financial profit,” the report stated. “He blatantly stole from his campaign. He deceived donors into providing what they thought were contributions to his campaign but were in fact payments for his personal benefit.”

Report goes on and on and on and on in great detail.  How did this guy ever manage to get in office?  Nobody questioned any of the bullshit?

Unsolvable issue?  ... Or, no more than an unwillingness to do what's necessary?

CBS News(AP) reports:

"Texas must move a floating barrier on the Rio Grande that drew backlash from Mexico, a federal appeals court ruled Friday, dealing a blow to one of Republican Gov. Greg Abbott's aggressive measures aimed at stopping migrants from entering the U.S. illegally. The decision by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals requires Texas to stop any work on the roughly 1,000-foot barrier and move it to the riverbank. The order sided with a lower court decision in September that Abbott called "incorrect" and had predicted would be overturned."

No matter the politics, a barrier cannot and will not solve the migration problem.  Sadly, the Governor engages in 'symbolism over substance.'

"Instead, the New Orleans-based court handed Texas its second legal defeat this week over its border operations. On Wednesday, a federal judge allowed U.S. Border Patrol agents to continue cutting razor wire the state installed along the riverbank, despite the protests of Texas officials. For months, Texas has asserted that parts of the Rio Grande are not subject to federal laws protecting navigable waters. But the judges said the lower court correctly sided with the Biden administration. "It considered the threat to navigation and federal government operations on the Rio Grande, as well as the potential threat to human life the floating barrier created," Judge Dana Douglas wrote in the opinion."

Sadly, the Governor remains determinedly oblivious to reality:

"Abbott called the decision "clearly wrong" in a statement on social media, and said the state would immediately seek a rehearing from the court. "We'll go to SCOTUS if needed to protect Texas from Biden's open borders," Abbott posted."

The six Republican nazis on the U.S. Supreme Court might very well rule in his favor.  Doesn't mean such a ruling would achieve any degree of success in solving the migration problem, -- and it is a problem.  One that cannot be solved with a barrier.  -- A barrier migrants will inevitably find a way to go over, under, or around.

"The Biden administration sued Abbott over the linked and anchored buoys — which stretch roughly the length of three soccer fields — after the state installed the barrier along the international border with Mexico. The buoys are between the Texas border city of Eagle Pass and Piedras Negras, Coahuila. Thousands of people were crossing into the U.S. illegally through the area when the barrier was installed. The lower district court ordered the state to move the barriers in September, but Texas' appeal temporarily delayed that order from taking effect. The Biden administration sued under what is known as the Rivers and Harbors Act, a law that protects navigable waters."

Nonetheless, a Trump-appointed 'judge' will conveniently back his master in payback:

"In a dissent, Judge Don Willet, an appointee of former President Donald Trump and a former Texas Supreme Court justice, said the order to move the barriers won't dissolve any tensions that the Biden administration said have been ramping up between the U.S. and Mexico governments. "If the district court credited the United States' allegations of harm, then it should have ordered the barrier to be not just moved but removed," Willet wrote. "Only complete removal would eliminate the "construction and presence" of the barrier and meet Mexico's demands."

Can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit, right, 'Judge?'

Clearly, there is a serious problem:

"Nearly 400,000 people tried to enter the U.S. through the section of the southwest border that includes Eagle Pass last fiscal year. In the lower court's decision, U.S. District Judge David Ezra cast doubt on Texas' rationale for the barrier. He wrote at the time that the state produced no "credible evidence that the buoy barrier as installed has significantly curtailed illegal immigration."

He's right.  It hasn't.

"Officials with U.S. Customs and Border Protection did not immediately comment."

What could they say?  Clearly, they have no answer.  Migrants have been sold a false bill of goods.  Seem to think this country is the land of good and plenty.  Certainly, for the top of the food chain and upper middle class.  At expense of the bottom and lower echelons of society.  Until migrants are duly informed and convinced of this reality, they'll continue unimpeded.  Continue to buy the bullshit and false promises.  -- While the rich get richer, poor poorer, and our formerly great country continues to sadly deteriorate.  Catastrophically, a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
