Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable. Time to step up.  Now.

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Three hundred ninety three weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Hey, Sheriff?  Reportedly, promote Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 to Sergeant?  If true, yet another classic example of survival of the unfittest in the law enforcement community.  Readers are reminded this is the very same idiot, clueless asshole responsible for thousands of dollars of damage to the Pace Arrow as reported in each edition of this publication.  Far more to Kingsland property owner James Berardi in a property dispute.  -- A dispute engineered by Johnny Greene, apparently financed by a bribe to the former County Attorney, current District Attorney, and Sheriff.  A federal investigation of Llano County government and the aforementioned allegedly corrupt and abusive bastards in this ongoing fiasco is desperately needed.  Tim Chorney.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Three hundred ninety three weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Three hundred ninety three weeks.  Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Gets worse.  Get this.  NBC News reports:

"A mother reported her son missing in March. Police kept the truth from her for months. Bettersten Wade’s search for her adult son ended when she discovered that an officer had run him over — and without telling her, authorities buried him in a pauper’s field. JACKSON, Miss. — Seven months of searching for her lost son brought Bettersten Wade to a dirt road leading into the woods, past an empty horse stable and a scrapyard. The last time she’d seen her middle child, Dexter Wade, 37, was on the night of March 5, as he left home with a friend. She reported him missing, and Jackson police told her they’d been unable to find him, she said."

They lied.

"It wasn’t until 172 excruciating days after his disappearance that Bettersten learned the truth: Dexter had been killed less than an hour after he’d left home, struck by a Jackson police car as he crossed a nearby interstate highway. Police had known Dexter’s name, and hers, but failed to contact her, instead letting his body go unclaimed for months in the county morgue. Now it was early October, and Bettersten had finally been told where she could find her son. She pulled up to the gates of the Hinds County penal farm, her sister in the passenger seat. A sheriff’s deputy and two jumpsuited inmates in a pickup told her to follow them. They bounced down the road and curved into the woods, crawling past clearings where rows of small signs jutted from the earth, each marked with a number. “Girl, look at this,” Bettersten, 65, said to her sister. “Would you believe they would bury someone out here?” The caravan came to the end of the road, at another clearing with more markers. The deputy took one of Bettersten’s hands, her daughter the other, and they walked to the mounds of loosely packed dirt. They stopped at grave No. 672. “Really?” Bettersten said. She bent over, hands on her knees. She cried out, her voice echoing off the surrounding trees. “I’m sorry, baby. I’m so sorry.”

Think we haven't lost our country?

In follow-up to an horrendous case covered recently here and elsewhere, NBC News reports:

"The lawyer representing a Mississippi mother whose adult son was run over by an off-duty police officer and was later buried in a pauper’s grave without her knowing will ask the Department of Justice to investigate why she wasn’t told what happened. The lawyer, Ben Crump, also said in a news conference Monday that he will help arrange for Dexter Wade’s body to be exhumed from where he was buried on the grounds of the Hinds County penal farm, marked only by a number. Crump said he will then arrange for an independent autopsy before Wade is reburied in a cemetery with a headstone bearing his name."

About time.  Clearly, law enforcement seems to have lost itself.

"Wade will be given “a proper funeral where his family and loved ones and his two little children and all the community can come out and give him a respectable homegoing service — one that apparently Jackson Police Department didn’t intend for him to have,” Crump said. Wade’s mother, Bettersten Wade, said it was devastating to search for her missing son for months and beg the Jackson police for answers, only to learn that the department knew all along that he’d been killed the night she last saw him. The experience has made her question the police department’s ability to work for its residents."

Seems to be a problem all across this country.

“The system is supposed to work for me if I call you and say I need help,” Bettersten Wade, 65, said at Monday’s news conference. “I am a citizen here in Jackson. So I asked for help.” NBC News first reported on what happened to Dexter Wade last week, sparking widespread public outrage."

For damned good reason.

“It just doesn’t pass the smell test,” Crump said. “That’s why people all over America are talking about what happened to Dexter Wade in Jackson, Mississippi.” Crump and Bettersten Wade both accused the Jackson Police Department of having a vendetta against her family because of an earlier case. In 2019, Bettersten Wade’s 62-year-old brother died after a Jackson officer slammed him to the ground. A jury convicted the officer of manslaughter, and he is appealing."

Apparently, how the jackbooted bastard gets his cookies off.  Sad, isn't it?

"Bettersten Wade’s family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in her brother’s death that accuses Jackson officers of excessive force and attempting to cover up their actions, and accuses the city of failing to properly train and supervise the officers. The city has denied the claims and said it isn’t liable for what happened. The officers’ lawyers said they acted responsibly and lawfully. A federal judge dismissed some of the family’s claims; others remain pending in state court. “We are asking for the Department of Justice to investigate this matter because the family does not have trust in the Mississippi officials,” Crump said. “Would you after this happened to your brother and child?” A Department of Justice spokesperson said the agency was aware of the incident but did not comment further. A city spokesperson said in a statement that “our thoughts and prayers remain with Dexter Wade’s family,” but the city cannot say anything more because the family is working with lawyers."

Pathetic.  Galling.  Gutless.

Readers will recall:

"Bettersten Wade last saw Dexter Wade, 37, on March 5, when he left their home with a friend. She reported him missing to the Jackson Police Department the following week. For months, she called missing persons investigators seeking information, and was told there was no news. She posted appeals on Facebook, searched abandoned houses and asked around her neighborhood. She didn’t learn the truth until Aug. 24, when a Jackson accident investigator told her that her son, the father of two teenage girls, had died the night he left home, struck by a police cruiser while crossing a nearby highway. The accident investigator told her to call the Hinds County coroner’s office for more information."

Get this:

"A coroner’s office investigator told Bettersten Wade that he’d found no ID on her son but noticed his name on a bottle of prescription medication and was able to confirm that identification through fingerprints. The coroner’s investigator said he shared Dexter Wade’s name, and contact information for Bettersten Wade, with the accident investigations squad. He got no updates from police, and with no one coming forward to claim Dexter Wade’s body, the county buried him July 14 in a pauper’s field on the grounds of its penal farm. He remains there, at the end of a dirt road, his grave marked No. 672."

Nazi justice.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Jackson’s police department has not commented on its handling of Dexter Wade’s death. But after NBC News reported the story, Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba addressed the case Thursday during his annual State of the City speech. Lumumba expressed regret and sympathy for Wade’s family, and blamed a communication failure that he said was due in part to police receiving an incorrect phone number for Bettersten Wade from the Hinds County coroner’s office. Lumumba said police meant no harm."

Not credible.  Not at all.  Apparently, the Mayor is doing all he can to cover his ass, that of the city, as well as the police department.  No transparency:

"The city has declined to say what phone number police were given. But coroner’s office reports and Dexter Wade’s hospital records both include a correct number for Bettersten Wade. Whether the number was correct or not is almost beside the point, Bettersten Wade said, because the police also should have had her name and her address, and could have knocked on her door."

Sad, isn't it?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Never ends.  NBC News reports:

"A Dallas, Texas, man was picking up breakfast for his young children when he says police officers pulled him over, beat him and tased him with a stun gun after mistaking him for a domestic violence suspect with a similar name. Silvester Hayes, a 27-year-old single father of four children, was then wrongly arrested even after police realized their mistake, according to a federal lawsuit he filed last week against the city and multiple police officers. The incident on Oct. 16, 2021, cost Hayes his job as a security guard and his home, the lawsuit says. "It knocked me all the [way?] down. It kind of ruined my life,” Hayes said in a video statement. "Just to be treated like that is traumatizing. To this day I still have dreams about that, I mean, I wake up out [of] my sleep," he said."

Most conveniently:

"The Dallas Police Department said it does not comment on pending litigation. The City and the police union did not immediately return a request for comment on Wednesday."

Goddamned gutless.  Expect better?

"Hayes said he was driving to a restaurant a few blocks from his home for some French toast and bacon when two Dallas police officers stopped him for failing to signal at a stop sign, according to the lawsuit and police body camera videos Hayes' attorney shared with NBC News. The officers, Walter Paul Guab and Holly Harris, are named in the suit, and Hayes called the officer’s reasoning for pulling him over “suspicious” and “obviously manufactured,” the suit says. Instead, he believes he was racially profiled. Hayes gave Guab his driver's license and told him he had a lawfully registered firearm with him, according to the lawsuit. The suit says that Guab handed the driver's license to Harris, who failed to run it through the computer database in her vehicle. Instead, Harris mistook Hayes for a man named "Sylvester," who had a family violence warrant. Acting on the incorrect information, Guab suddenly reached inside Hayes' car and tried to open the driver's side door, according to the lawsuit. Hayes was "alarmed by this sudden escalation in aggression" and repeatedly asked what was happening, the suit says. "Instead of providing Plaintiff Hayes with an explanation for forcibly removing him from his vehicle, Defendant Officers Guab and Harris escalated their use of force against Plaintiff Hayes," according to the suit. As the two officers were "manhandling" Hayes, several more officers arrived at the scene and frantically started screaming "gun" when they spotted Hayes' firearm in his vehicle, the lawsuit says. "In a proverbial case of gasoline being poured on a fire, having multiple Dallas Police Officers yelling 'gun' only escalated the Officers’ use of excessive force on Plaintiff Hayes," the suit says."

Get this:

"The body camera videos show the officers yank Hayes out of his vehicle and onto the ground, with his head smashed against the curb, before placing him in handcuffs. One officer is seen with his knee placed on Hayes' neck. The lawsuit says that some of the officers kicked, punched and used their Tasers on Hayes. NBC News could not verify this from the videos. During the melee, Hayes' arm was pulled from the socket, according to the lawsuit. At certain points in the video, Hayes is heard begging for help. The officers use a zip tie to bind Hayes' feet and then place him in the back of a police car, the video shows. It was then that Harris ran Hayes' driver's license. When she realized her mistake, she allegedly said "F---, we got the wrong guy."

What an idiot.  An exigent threat to the public these officers clearly don't serve.

"Officers Guab and Harris could not be reached at phone numbers listed for them."

Surprised?

"In one of the videos, three officers are heard discussing whether Hayes is a felon and what charges they can bring against him. "Is he a felon?" an unidentified officer asks. "He has not been convicted," Guab responds. "Or, no felon?" "No felon," the unidentified officer says, before asking Guab about a charge of resisting arrest. "I don't know if we'll be able to put the resisting because you can't resist detention," Officer Guab says. During the encounter, Hayes also repeatedly says, "I'll get in the car," body camera video shows. The lawsuit says that Hayes was ultimately charged with resisting arrest and unlawful possession of a weapon and held in jail for several days. The charges were dismissed more than a year later, according to the lawsuit."

Surprised?

In follow-up to another horrendous case covered earlier here and elsewhere, The Associated Press reports:

"Six corrections deputies pleaded not guilty Friday to charges ranging from murder to aggravated assault in the beating and death of a Black man who was having a psychotic episode in a Memphis jail last year. In all, nine Shelby County deputies were charged in September in the October 2022 death of Gershun Freeman, 33, who was an inmate at the county jail. Authorities said the jailers punched, kicked and kneeled on Freeman’s back during a confrontation after he ran from his jail cell. The beating was caught on jail video that was released to the public. Indictments show that Stevon Jones and Courtney Parham have been charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault. Jones also has been charged with an additional count of assault. Seven other deputies have been charged with aggravated assault resulting in the death of another person. Those officers are Jeffrey Gibson, Anthony Howell, Damian Cooper, Ebonee Davis, Lareko Donwel Elliot and Chelsey Duckett and Charles Gatewood. The deputies appeared individually before Judge Chris Craft during a Friday hearing. Lawyers for Jones, Parham, Davis, Duckett, Gatewood and Gibson entered not guilty pleas for their clients. Cooper, Elliot and Howell told the judge that they had not yet hired attorneys. Craft set the next hearing for Dec. 1."

Why did it take a year to bring charges?

"The deputies have been placed on administrative leave."

Paid 'vacation?'

Sheriff remains clueless:

"Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner defended his deputies in a September news conference."

For murder?

“Let me be clear. No action — no action — by any Shelby County Sheriff’s Office employee caused Mr. Freeman’s death,” Bonner said, adding later that he would be “the first one to donate” to any fundraiser to help with his deputies’ legal fees. Carlissa Shaw, the lawyer for Gatewood, told reporters he “is a lifelong Memphian who’s done well in his community.” “At the end of this, my client will be found not guilty,” Shaw said. Meanwhile, Freeman’s family has called for the deputies to be sent to prison and accused corrections officers and jail leadership, including Bonner, of showing a pattern of violence against inmates. Freeman’s family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Bonner, Chief Jailer Kirk Fields and the county government. The case has drawn comparisons to the fatal beating of Tyre Nichols after a Jan. 7 traffic stop. The beating was caught on police video that also was publicly released. Five former Memphis Police Department officers have pleaded not guilty to both state and federal charges related to Nichols’ death. The Freeman case is being prosecuted by the office of Davidson County District Attorney Glenn Funk, who was appointed after Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy recused himself."

Readers will recall:

"Freeman had been booked in jail on charges of attacking and kidnapping his girlfriend, according to court records. The lawsuit said Freeman’s family believed he was suffering from a mental health crisis when he was arrested. Earlier this year, Funk released video of Freeman at the jail. The video shows Freeman was beaten by at least 10 corrections officers on Oct. 5, 2022, after he ran naked from his cell. In the video, officers wrestle Freeman to the ground and begin to punch, kick and pepper-spray him. They are joined by additional officers. The deputies move with Freeman out of the hallway. From another camera’s view, Freeman is seen wrapping himself around an officer’s legs in a different hallway. The video shifts to a bank of escalators and Freeman, still naked, runs up one of them. In another hallway, a struggle continues with officers attempting to restrain him before getting him face-down on the ground. They can be seen stepping and kneeling on his back before he becomes still. One officer remained on Freeman’s back for several minutes before he was lifted."

Sadly, how the murderous jackbooted bastards get their cookies off.

"He appears limp when officers do lift him up, with his head falling forward between his knees and his hands cuffed behind his back. He remains in that position until medical employees arrive, and the video ends. A medical examiner’s report said Freeman died of an exacerbation of cardiovascular disease “due to physical altercation and subdual.” Freeman’s manner of death is listed as a homicide in the autopsy report, although the report says that this “is not meant to definitively indicate criminal intent.” The report also cites “probable psychotic disorder” as a contributory cause of death."

No justice.  Expect better?  The Associated Press reports:

"A former North Dakota police officer fired for badly injuring a 63-year-old man during an arrest has been sentenced to probation after dropping his not-guilty plea."

Think that's justice?  ... Or, goddamned bullshit.

"The Bismarck Tribune cited court documents in reporting that former Bismarck Officer George Huff entered an Alford plea on Oct. 12 to a misdemeanor charge of simple assault. The plea means Huff didn’t admit guilt but acknowledged there was enough evidence to support a conviction. He had been scheduled for trial in December."

'For badly injuring a 63-year old man during an arrest.'  Protected and coddled the jackbooted son of a bitch.  How can there be any faith and trust in law enforcement and/or the judiciary when this shit goes on?  When the 'judge' is figuratively in bed with the jackbooted bastard?  Nazi justice.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"A judge placed Huff on unsupervised probation for one year."

Clearly, the 'judge's' head is figuratively, securely, hopelessly lodged up his clueless ass.  Sad, isn't it?

"Huff, 26, was accused of striking Keith Erlandson several times in the face while holding handcuffs during an arrest on March 9. Erlandson suffered severe injuries. Bismarck police and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation investigated, and Police Chief Dave Draovitch fired Huff on May 21. The Bismarck’s department’s report concluded Huff “initiated and persisted in close physical contact” with Erlandson and ignored training on deescalating a situation while waiting for backup “which he knew was literally seconds away.”

Sadly, how the jackbooted son of a bitch gets his cookies off.  Not only that, he's a goddamned congenital liar:

"Huff told investigators that Erlandson resisted arrest, appeared to try to bite him, pulled at the officer’s duty vest which housed weapons and violently pulled on Huff’s neck. Huff’s attorney, Chris Redmann, said his client was defending himself against someone who was attacking him."

Crock of shit coming from a shyster.  Sad, isn't it?  The bullshit deepens:

“Officer Huff’s primary reason to take a plea agreement is not because he was guilty, it was to extinguish the risk trial in any case brings and the potential that he would receive jail time if a jury regrettably returned a guilty verdict,” Redmann said."

Sad, isn't it?  Especially, in light of the following where it is clear law enforcement knew precisely what it was dealing with:

"Police reports said Erlandson has mental health problems, a history of drug and alcohol abuse, and a history of fleeing from officers and resisting arrest. He was not charged in the March incident."

How about that?  Time for law enforcement to smarten up.  Lack of professionalism remains stunning, unsustainable.

Prosecutor protecting and coddling a murderous officer?

ABC News(AP) reports:

"A western Pennsylvania coroner wants a police officer who shot and killed a man after a car chase to be charged in his death, a recommendation that has generated strong backlash from the local prosecutor who maintains the shooting was justified. Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco announced Thursday, after an inquest this week into the April 2 fatal shooting of Eduardo Hoover Jr., that Mount Pleasant Township Police Officer Tyler Evans should be charged with involuntary manslaughter. Warco said if the county's district attorney, Jason Walsh, does not pursue charges, state prosecutors should. But officials said Friday that under Pennsylvania’s Commonwealth Attorney’s Act, county coroners generally cannot refer criminal investigations to the attorney general’s office."

Needs to change.  Justice demands it when a local prosecutor protects and coddles a murderous officer.

"Evans did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment. Walsh, who announced in May that Evans' shooting of Hoover was justified, dismissed Warco's stance as “theatrical nonsense” during a news conference Friday."

Think so?  ... Or, is the prosecutor protecting and coddling a murderous officer?  Shouldn't the coroner's judgment count?  Who better to know than the official most acquainted with the medical evidence?  The following is conveniently used all over this country to protect and coddle murderous officers, shield them from prosecution, deny victims and family members justice:

“The standard for deadly force is a subjective one from the officer’s belief in real-time — firing his weapon not from the comfort and safety of a conference room,” Walsh said. “Officers have families they want to go home to.”

So deny justice to a family suffering loss of a family member to a jackbooted murderous officer?  A criminal in uniform accorded special treatment denied the civilian population? That's justice?

"Hoover, 38, was killed following a police chase that began in Mount Pleasant Township and eventually involved the township's police officers, as well as police from nearby Smith Township. Hoover eventually stopped and his car was boxed in by five police vehicles. Evans shot through the back window, striking Hoover twice."

An execution.

"Hoover's family members who attended the inquest told reporters the coroner's findings moved things a step closer to justice. “I felt it was just unjustified the way he was killed,” Lori Cook, Hoover’s aunt, told KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh. “It’s just unreal that 38 years old and he’s gone. Three kids living without their dad is unreal.”

Insult to injury?  Get this:

"A county court agreed with the request of officers involved in the chase that they did not have to testify as part of the coroner's inquest."

Nazi justice.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Get this:

"Warco made his recommendation based on his autopsy of Hoover, complaint and incident reports from the police departments and state police, the 911 call log, body cam footage and nearby surveillance footage. In his report, Warco said that parts of Evans' story did not align with the body camera images. Because Hoover's car was trapped by police cars, he said, it could not be used as a deadly weapon and was not a threat to the officers. Another officer stood in front of Hoover's vehicle — “in greater danger than Officer Evans,” Warco said in his report — and shot at the car's grille to disable it, rather than at Hoover. Warco also argued that Evans risked the life of the other officer by shooting from the car's rear toward the front. Mount Pleasant Township Police Chief Matthew Tharp said in a phone interview Friday that the criminal investigation had cleared Evans and he remains an officer in good standing. “I and Mount Pleasant support our police officer,” Tharp said. “We have cooperated from the beginning, as has Officer Evans.”

Justice has been denied by a prosecutor and police chief with an agenda to protect and coddle a murderous officer, deny justice to the victim's family.  Nazi justice. Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

More fallout from the Breonna Taylor raid.  In follow-up to an horrendous case covered repeatedly here and elsewhere, Louisville Public Media reports:

"Officer from Breonna Taylor raid faces another criminal trial, this time in federal court. A jury acquitted him. [on state charges]
Former Louisville Metro Police Department detective Brett Hankison is facing another criminal trial over his role in the deadly 2020 raid on Breonna Taylor’s home. Jury selection in the federal case against Hankison starts Monday."

Readers will recall:

"Hankison was one of seven officers present at the middle-of-the-night raid, in which officers shot and killed the 26-year-old emergency room technician. One of the officers, Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly, was shot in the leg while trying to serve the search warrant. During the exchange of gunfire between officers and Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, Hankison shot through a covered window and sliding glass door. Some of his bullets landed in an occupied neighboring apartment. LMPD fired him in June 2020, in the midst of widespread protests over Taylor’s killing and a lack of police accountability. Last year, the U.S. Department of Justice charged Hankison with two counts of deprivation of rights under the color of law. Prosecutors say Hankison fired blindly into the apartment, using deadly force when “there was no longer a lawful objective.” Kristen Clarke, assistant attorney general for civil rights with the DOJ, said when announcing the charges that Hankison wrongfully endangered people’s lives. “Community safety dictates that police officers use their weapons only when necessary to defend their own lives or the lives of others and even then, that they must do so with great care and caution,” Clarke said. The DOJ said at the time that the civil rights violations could carry sentences of life in prison "where the violation results in death or involves an attempt to kill.”

Get this:

"Hankison previously succeeded in defending himself against similar charges in state court. In that case, he was charged with felony wanton endangerment for showing “extreme indifference to human life” when he fired into the occupied apartment unit. Hankison faced three counts, one for each of the people who were in that apartment. The trial was connected to Taylor, but the state didn’t charge any of the officers involved in the raid directly with her death. Hankison was ultimately acquitted by a jury of the state-level charges in March 2022. After the judge read the ruling in the courtroom, Hankison’s attorney, Stew Mathews, said, “justice was done.”

Think so?

“The jury felt like, when you go out and perform your duty and your brother officer gets shot, you have the right to defend yourself,” Mathews said."

Shooting blindly into the apartment?

"Hankison is facing similar charges this time around, because they don’t violate the U.S. Constitution’s prohibition on double jeopardy, University of Louisville law professor Russell L. Weaver said. He said the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that in most cases, it’s not unconstitutional for two jurisdictions — such as two different states, or a state and the federal government — to charge someone for the same conduct. It’s called the dual-sovereignty doctrine. “The whole idea is that they’re different sovereigns and they’re not bound by what another sovereign did,” Weaver said. In other words, the state and federal government are two different entities that make their own laws. An illegal act by a single person can be a crime against the U.S. government and a crime against a state government. This doctrine does not apply, however, to someone charged with the same crime under a local ordinance and a state law. That’s because local governments are considered subunits, or the creation of, their respective states."

Interesting, isn't it?  Some might consider it 'piling on.'

"Jury selection is set to begin Monday morning. Prospective jurors for the Hankison case will fill out questionnaires, the questions of which are sealed. The point of this stage is to weed out people with biases or conflicts of interest that would impair their ability to make a fair decision of guilt or innocence. U.S. District Court Judge Rebecca Grady Jennings, who will preside over the trial, issued a set of rules last week for how the trial would proceed. During jury selection, the judge and attorneys will ask potential jurors questions and decide who to send home. No one will be allowed in the courtroom gallery for that, including members of the public, media and friends and family members of the victims or the defendant. Anyone will be allowed to observe the trial itself, with limited seating in the courtroom and two overflow courtrooms with live video and audio feeds. Members of the media and the public will not be allowed to record the trial or take photos."

Lack of transparency remains stunning.  ... And troubling.

"There’s currently no timeline for how long jury selection will take or when the actual trial will begin. Criminal trials in federal court are similar to state courts: They start with opening statements from prosecutors and the accused, then move on to witnesses and evidence. The trial will end with closing arguments from attorneys, followed by jury deliberation. Jennings recently approved a request from Hankison’s attorneys that jurors be allowed to travel to Taylor’s apartment on Springfield Drive and view the “exterior portions” of the building. Jurors took a similar trip in the 2022 state case against Hankison. Jennings has said during recent hearings that the trial could last two to four weeks."

Never ends.  Getting worse.  NBC News reports:

"A Tennessee man was "needlessly shot and killed" by police, family lawyers said Monday, in a confrontation captured on an officer's body camera which appears to show the man on his back when he was fatally wounded. Metropolitan Nashville Police Department officers went to a a home on Split Oak Trail in Antioch on Oct. 9, answering a call that a man was holding another man at knifepoint, authorities said."

Not easy being a cop.  Supposed to be well-trained and benefit from the experience of far more experienced officers.  Carefully consider the following:

"That call for service came from the sister and mother of 30-year-old Joshua Kersey, who both said their loved one was drunk and has "severe mental issues," according to graphic footage and 911 recordings released by police a day after the incident. The man's mother and sister met officers outside the house and told them Kersey was holding a housemate at knifepoint, police said. As officers approached a closed bedroom door, a male voice appears to say, "open the door and I'll kill him," prompting an officer to respond, "He's got a hostage." "Hey man it's Officer Ranseen from metro, just want to talk," responding Officer Cole Ranseen said just before 9 p.m., according to the footage time stamp. A cellphone can be heard ringing from the other side of the bedroom door. But Kersey appeared to slide the phone out of the bedroom, under the door and into the hallway. “You want to call this phone, it’s going to cost you a life,” a voice inside the room said. Then one of the officers could be heard whispering to the other: “If I get a shot, I’m taking it.” It's unclear which officer responded this way."

That's a problem.  A big problem.  Not a military combat situation.  Supposed to be policing.

"The sound of a tussle on the other side of the door at 9:37 p.m. prompted officers to break in to find two men struggling and falling [to] the ground. Kersey, wearing a black top and jeans, appeared to be flat on his back when Ranseen fired one shot toward the man's midsection, the officer's body camera footage showed. Kersey was "needlessly shot," according to a family statement. Attorney Marwan Porter went a step further. “Officer Ranseen executed a defenseless man. There’s no other way to say it,” Porter said in a statement on Monday. “From the beginning he showed a total disregard for life. He decided Joshua Kersey needed to die and nothing was going to stop him.”

Here's the problem:

"The police department did not dispatch its Crisis Intervention Team, "which was established specifically to respond to mental health crises," to the scene, according to the family. The team was established in 2021, according to the department's website, and it’s unclear why it allegedly wasn’t deployed that evening."

Certainly, needs to be determined.

"A Nashville police spokesperson would only say that Ranseen “remains on administrative assignment" and declined to discuss the Oct. 9 incident referring all queries to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, which is leading the probe."

Clearly, covering its ass.

"As for findings, our investigative record will only become available for public review at the conclusion of the prosecutorial function, as determined by District Attorney General Glenn Funk, who requested TBI investigate this incident," TBI spokesperson Josh DeVine said in a statement on Tuesday. Lawyers for Kersey's survivors "are currently reviewing all available options and expect legal action to be forthcoming," according to the family's statement."

Think the injustice will ever end?  In follow-up to another horrendous case repeatedly covered here and elsewhere, The Associated Press reports:

"Prosecutors have dropped charges against a Louisiana state trooper accused of withholding graphic body-camera footage that shows another officer dragging Black motorist Ronald Greene by his ankle shackles during his deadly 2019 arrest. Lt. John Clary, the ranking officer at the scene, has agreed to take the stand in the trial of Master Trooper Kory York, a former colleague charged with negligent homicide in the case. York is accused of forcing the heavyset Greene to lie facedown and handcuffed for more than nine minutes, which use-of-force experts said likely restricted his breathing. “Mr. Clary has and will continue to cooperate with the state and testify truthfully in this matter,” said John Belton, the Union Parish district attorney. It was not immediately clear why prosecutors dismissed the obstruction of justice indictment against Clary before he provides his testimony, and the single-paragraph dismissal makes no mention of his pledged cooperation."

Interesting, isn't it?  Needs to be resolved.  The public is entitled to know why.  Especially, in light of the following:

"York is expected to stand trial next year but is asking an appellate court to throw out his own indictment after prosecutors acknowledged a mistake by allowing a use-of-force expert to review protected statements York made during an internal affairs inquiry. Such compelled interviews may be used to discipline officers administratively but are specifically shielded from use in criminal cases."

Why?  Makes no sense.  Other than as a means to protect the officer against prosecution at the expense of employment.  LOL.

Most disturbingly, readers will recall:

"State police initially blamed Greene’s May 10, 2019, death on a car crash at the end a high-speed chase. After officials refused for more than two years to release the body-camera video, The Associated Press obtained and published the footage showing white troopers converging on Greene before he could get out of his car as he wailed: “I’m your brother! I’m scared!”

Jackbooted bastards got their cookies off murdering this man:

"Clary’s video is the only clip showing the moment a handcuffed, bloody Greene moans under the weight of two troopers, twitches and then goes still. The dismissal of Clary’s indictment leaves charges against just two of the five officers indicted last year in Greene’s death. A judge earlier this year dismissed obstruction charges against two other troopers. Aside from York, the only other remaining charges are two counts of malfeasance against Chris Harpin, a former Union Parish deputy sheriff who taunted Greene before he stopped breathing."

Think this justice?

"The dismissals have prompted new calls for the U.S. Justice Department to bring its own indictment against the troopers. Federal prosecutors have been weighing civil rights charges for years amid a grand jury investigation that examined whether Louisiana State Police brass obstructed justice by protecting the troopers involved in Greene’s arrest. Clary and his defense attorney did not immediately respond to requests for comment Wednesday. The dismissal could clear the way for him to return to work at the Louisiana State Police, which placed him on administrative leave in December following his indictment. Capt. Nick Manale, a state police spokesman, said the agency would review the dismissal before determining whether to reinstate Clary."

Think we haven't lost our country?  When law enforcement is out of control, a democratic republic is no longer a democratic republic.  Becomes a de facto fascist police-state.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Clary also faced no internal discipline after Col. Lamar Davis said the agency “could not say for sure whether” the lieutenant “purposefully withheld” the footage in question."

Think the above isn't a crock of shit?

"But State Police records obtained by the AP show Clary also lied to investigators about Greene’s resistance, saying he was “still trying to get away and was not cooperating.” Those statements were contradicted by Clary’s body camera footage and were apparently intended to justify further uses of force by troopers against the prone Greene, who had already been hit in the head with a flashlight, punched and repeatedly stunned. “The video evidence in this case does not show Greene screaming, resisting or trying to get away,” Detective Albert Paxton wrote in one internal report. “The only screams revealed by the video were when Greene responded to force applied to him.”

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
