Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable. Time to step up.  Now.

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Three hundred eighty seven weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Hey, Sheriff?  Reportedly, promote Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 to Sergeant?  If true, yet another classic example of survival of the unfittest in the law enforcement community.  Readers are reminded this is the very same idiot, clueless asshole responsible for thousands of dollars of damage to the Pace Arrow as reported in each edition of this publication.  Far more to Kingsland property owner James Berardi in a property dispute.  -- A dispute engineered by Johnny Greene, apparently financed by a bribe to the former County Attorney, current District Attorney, and Sheriff.  A federal investigation of Llano County government and the aforementioned allegedly corrupt and abusive bastards in this ongoing fiasco is desperately needed.  Tim Chorney.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Three hundred eighty seven weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Three hundred eighty seven weeks.  Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Uncommon Valor.  As always, when a police officer does something heroic and/or of exceptional value to the community, it leads in this publication.  Always.  Seatbelts on.

The Washington Post reports:

"For more than two years, Michael Fanone’s muddied D.C. police badge was kept in a zip-top bag in an FBI evidence bin, dirt smeared across an imprint of the U.S. Capitol emblazoned on its face. The man who ripped Badge No. 3603 from Fanone’s tactical vest during the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot had buried it in his backyard in Buffalo, and investigators later seized it to use in the criminal case against him. That man, Thomas Sibick, is in prison now, and authorities said the badge, no longer needed for evidence, is being returned to the department. But Fanone — who resigned 11 months after he had been dragged into the frenzied mob, beaten unconscious and threatened to be killed with his own gun — said that when he asked for it back, the agency he once served balked at his request. When a reporter called to inquire, a D.C. police spokesman initially pointed to regulations that dictate officers’ badges be returned to the department, noting that even former chiefs are forbidden from keeping their official shields after leaving the force. But on Friday, police said they would make an exception because of the “unique circumstances” of Fanone’s actions on Jan. 6, and would give the badge, mounted in a display case, back to him, if that’s what he wanted. “It’s the only thing from MPD that I want,” Fanone said of the scuffed piece of metal that he described at the sentencing hearing for Sibick as “the emblem of my duty and what I had dedicated my life to for the past 20 years.”

This officer, indeed, stood tall:

"The initial tug-of-war over the badge had once again pitted Fanone, a celebrated ex-police officer unapologetic for his brash style, against his former department, which Fanone has said ostracized him for speaking out on behalf of officers who defended the Capitol and for publicly excoriating lawmakers and others who downplayed the attack. His advocacy for those who battled the mob earned him national recognition and acclaim, but he said he has also faced menacing phone calls, as well as resentment from some former colleagues who don’t approve of his outspokenness."

For what? Telling the truth?

"Fanone, who has testified against several Jan. 6 defendants and spoken forcefully at sentencing hearings, said he kept tabs on the case involving the stolen badge and told prosecutors and other officials he wanted it back when it was no longer needed as evidence. Fanone said he followed up with prosecutors after Sibick was sentenced to 50 months in prison, and they told him the decision was up to his department."

He earned that badge.  No question.  Uncommon Valor.

“Traditionally, badges go back to the department,” Fanone said. “I understand that. But I think we’re dealing with some pretty extraordinary circumstances.”

Indeed.  Especially, in light of the fact the kingpin who incited the insurrection, the former president, has yet to go to trial.

"Fanone said after his follow-up inquires to D.C. police about the badge went nowhere, he enlisted the help of Christopher Macchiaroli, a former federal prosecutor in D.C. who is now in private practice. Macchiaroli had prosecuted some of the people Fanone arrested. Macchiaroli sent a letter dated Sept. 9 to Stuart Emerman, an assistant D.C. police chief of the technical and analytical services bureau, requesting the department allow the U.S. attorney’s office for D.C. to “release Officer Fanone’s shield back to him directly.” Having received no response, Fanone described the situation to The Washington Post. And when a reporter asked about it earlier this week, a D.C. police spokesman pointed to policies that he said prohibited ex-officers from retaining their badges. “MPD handles badges of former members consistently,” Paris Lewbel, the deputy director of communications for D.C. police, said in a statement. “Badges of members who separate from the Department, whether they resign or retire, are recycled for future officer assignment.” (MPD refers to the Metropolitan Police Department, the formal name for D.C. police.) Lewbel said at the time that sworn members of the force who retire in good standing can receive ceremonial retirement shields inscribed with the badge number and the word “Retired” on the front, so they aren’t confused with authentic shields. The spokesman said badges of officers who are killed or die in the line of duty have their sequence numbers retired. Fanone had resigned from the department, meaning he wouldn’t have been eligible for a retirement badge. Then on Friday, the police department’s general counsel, Mark Viehmeyer, responded to Fanone’s representative. The lawyer wrote that the department had intended to preserve Fanone’s badge and other “symbols and solemn mementos of” the Jan. 6 riot in an exhibit in the agency’s museum, which sits inside police headquarters and which officials plan to expand. But, Viehmeyer wrote, officials would give Fanone “the encased badge if that is his wish,” noting that the department “recognizes the significance of Officer Fanone’s badge as exemplifying both the heroism and tragic cost to MPD members who defended democracy on January 6.” “To the extent that he would ultimately choose to donate the badge to MPD for inclusion in the exhibit, MPD would be most appreciative,” the letter concluded."

This heroic officer's wishes should be honored:

"Fanone said in an interview he does not want the D.C. police department to publicly display the badge. “Not a chance,” he said, adding that the agency doesn’t deserve to use him as a representative of officers who fought the insurrection because he feels it has not been fully supportive. Fanone said that members of his own department jeered him at last year’s Congressional Gold Medal ceremony, which he said “almost dissolved into a fistfight because a fellow officer took that moment to call me a disgrace to the badge.” Twenty-one House Republicans voted against awarding officers the honor. The badge, Fanone said, represents his “deep personal connection” to Jan. 6, and he asserted that the department and an “overwhelming majority of officers” failed to support his advocacy. “They don’t get the right, nor do they deserve the right, to prop me up as some kind of greater representative of the Metropolitan Police Department,” Fanone said. “I think I’ve earned it in a way most MPD officers never earned theirs. It’s symbolic of everything I’ve been doing,” he added."

Indeed.  No question.  You stood tall the day of the insurrection and to this very day.  Hat's off.  Uncommon Valor.

"Fanone was among a handful of D.C. officers who days after the insurrection recounted in stark detail the horrifying hours defending the Capitol. At the time, the department approved of Fanone’s remarks, which formed a definitive account of how hundreds of D.C. officers rescued a beleaguered and overwhelmed Capitol police force. The D.C. police chief at the time, Robert J. Contee III, said they had “saved democracy.” D.C. police officials have said they supported Fanone’s push for recognition of officers, even as they bristled when he confronted lawmakers and gave unvarnished commentary they felt pushed the boundaries of public remarks that police normally give. CNN hired Fanone as an on-air contributor after he resigned."

About time someone stood tall and told the unvarnished truth as this officer has done.

"Fanone said his experiences at the riot were unique. He was among the most severely injured officers, suffering a concussion and a mild heart attack after being dragged into the unruly crowd trying to force its way into the Capitol through the West Terrace entrance. Rioters beat him with poles, and someone tried to pull his firearm from his holster while shouting “Kill him with his own gun.” While the mob failed to get his firearm, Sibick yanked free Fanone’s police radio — which Fanone described in court as his “lifeline” — and his badge. Sibick later pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting, resisting or impeding police and two counts of theft, and was sentenced to 50 months in prison. Court records show he is appealing his sentence but is not challenging his guilty plea. Sibick did not offer an explanation for taking Fanone’s radio and badge. He also provided different accounts of what he did with the items. Prosecutors said in court documents that he told the FBI that he dropped them, then that he discarded them in a trash can on Constitution Avenue, and then that he took them home to Buffalo, 387 miles from D.C., and threw them in a dumpster in an alley behind a hotel. When the FBI told Sibick it planned to review hotel surveillance video, he told agents he had buried the badge in his backyard, according to the court documents. On Feb. 26, 2021, the documents say, he bought a metal detector, dug up the shield and returned Badge No. 3603, mud and all, to the FBI. Prosecutors kept the badge through court proceedings that ended in sentencing in July. They also have Fanone’s tactical vest, pictured in court documents that show “the hole caused by the badge being forcibly ripped off.”

This officer certainly has the right:

"Fanone said he kept the Congressional Gold Medal but has thrown out all D.C. police memorabilia. Fanone said he is not sure what he will do with the badge. “Sometimes I think I’ll throw it in the Anacostia River,” he said. “Sometimes I think about mounting it and giving it to my children. But I think the choice should be mine.”

No question.

"Wherever the badge ends up, the number that identified Fanone for two decades policing the District, and at one of the seminal moments in American history, will live on. A police spokesman said that after Fanone resigned, a different badge with No. 3603 was assigned to another police officer."

That number should have been retired in honor of Officer Fanone.  He stood tall the day of the insurrection and to this very day.  Uncommon Valor.  Best in policing.

The following is appalling.  Gutless.  Horrific.  NBC News reports:

"A man barricaded himself inside a home before he was arrested and accused of gunning down a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy, authorities said Monday. "Thirty-six hours after the murder of our deputy, the men and women of our department arrested him early this morning, Sheriff Robert Luna told reporters in Palmdale. "I am very proud of the work that our men and women have done." A 29-year-old Palmdale man was booked into custody and accused of killing Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer on Saturday, Luna said. A bystander called 911 after spotting the 30-year-old deputy unconscious in his car at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Southern California suburb of Palmdale, officials said. Clinkunbroomer was rushed to the hospital but could not be revived. Investigators said Sunday they were looking for a car — a dark-colored 2006 to 2012 Toyota Corolla — that was seen near Clinkunbroomer’s vehicle just before the shooting. Clinkunbroomer had just left the station when he was discovered near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Avenue Q, which is about 60 miles north of downtown Los Angeles, officials said. Law enforcement officials familiar with the investigation said Sunday that a video clip that shows a car pulling alongside the patrol car before it speeds away is a focus in the investigation. Clinkunbroomer was a well regarded deputy and had been working as a field training officer for the past 1 1/2 years, officials said. The victim, a third-generation deputy, got engaged to his girlfriend four days before the fatal attack, Luna said."

An outrageously senseless murder.

More on this as it becomes available.

In greater detail, CBS News reports:

"A suspect in the ambush murder of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer was arrested early Monday morning, a day and a half after the deputy was fatally shot in the head. At a Monday morning news conference, L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna said investigators are "extremely confident" they have the right person in custody. Even with that confidence, Luna urged anyone with information to contact authorities to help the investigation. Luna said no other suspects were being sought. Luna identified the suspect as 29-year-old Palmdale resident Kevin Salazar. Salazar was being held at the Palmdale sheriff's station. "Thirty-six hours after the murder of our deputy, the men and women of our department arrested him early this morning," Luna said. Deputies surrounded the residence, a house, and called out everyone inside early Monday morning. Family members exited the house, Luna said, but the suspect barricaded himself inside for several hours. After trying to de-escalate the situation and negotiate, Special Enforcement deputies deployed chemical agents, and the suspect surrendered."

Excellent police work.

"Investigators recovered numerous firearms and the vehicle of interest at the house, Luna said. Community members' information led homicide investigators to identify the suspect and locate the vehicle used in the murder, Luna said. No motive has been determined yet, Luna said. The investigation was ongoing. The sheriff's department previously said Deputy Clinkunbroomer had just left the Palmdale station and was sitting at a red light at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Avenue Q at about 6 p.m. Saturday when he was found slumped over the wheel of his patrol vehicle by a good Samaritan. "He was in uniform, sitting in a black and white vehicle marked L.A. County Sheriff's, waiting for a red light," Sheriff Luna said. "Our deputy never even had a chance."

AppallingSenseless.

"The victim was identified as Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer, who was rushed to Antelope Valley Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was 30 years old.

"I want to let to our community know Deputy Clinkunbroomer left his family tonight to serve our community. He laid everything on the line to serve us. He wore a uniform just like other @LASDHQ deputies wear, driving in a police car, and he was senselessly murdered tonight. pic.twitter.com/Jqc2sSB63c
    — Robert Luna (@LACoSheriff) September 17, 2023

"We're gonna catch the person who did this," the sheriff said during a press conference late Saturday evening. "Every resource that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has to bear is going after you."

Excellent police work:

"Investigators are analyzing a video that shows a sedan slowly pulling up behind an LASD vehicle at around the time that the shooting occurred before speeding away, Luna said. During a press conference on Sunday, the sheriff said that the vehicle of interest is a dark gray 2006-2012 Toyota Corolla. "We really need your help. We need to get this guy off the street," Luna said. "He ambushed and killed — murdered — one of our deputies. We need your help to get him off the street." The sheriff further noted that Clinkunbroomer had spent about eight years with the department and transferred to the Palmdale station in July 2018. He had been acting as a field training officer for nearly two years, Luna said. "Not just anybody becomes a field training officer," Luna said. "It's usually the best of the best." Clinkunbroomer was a third generation LASD member, behind his father and grandfather. "Service was in his blood," the sheriff said."

Sadly, tragically:

"He had just become engaged to his girlfriend four days ago, the sheriff said. Clinkunbroomer leaves behind his fiancée, parents and grandparents. "He didn't deserve this," an emotional Luna said. "This is so unfair. We're hurting because we lost somebody. It hurts bad. It sucks, just to put it bluntly. Our hearts absolutely go out to his family." Sheriff Luna withheld specifics on the investigation as it remains in its early stages. He says that as new information comes to light, the public will be alerted."

Indeed, a sad day for law enforcement:

"During a procession early Sunday morning, hundreds of law enforcement officers escorted Clinkunbroomer's body to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office. A large area on the street outside of the station was surrounded by crime scene tape. An LASD vehicle was also taped off outside of the hospital where the deputy was taken after being discovered in the patrol car. "Somebody saw something. Somebody knows something," Luna said. "There is a family here at this hospital grieving an unimaginable loss. We need your help." Politicians, law enforcement officials and community leaders took to social media to offer their condolences over the tragic loss of life throughout the day on Sunday, and flags at the state Capitol and Capitol Annex Swing Space were flown at half-staff. During Sunday's press conference, County Supervisor Kathryn Barger said she would seek $100,000 toward a reward to locate the suspect or suspect[s] involved, which the Palmdale Mayor Laura Bettencourt said the city would match. Richard Pippin, the President of the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, has also pledged an additional $50,000. Clinkunbroomer was honored outside of the Palmdale sheriff's station Sunday evening at 7 p.m. with a candlelight vigil. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact homicide investigators at (323) 890-5500."

ABC News reports:

"Multiple law enforcement sources who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation told ABC News on Monday night that suspect Kevin Salazar has confessed to sheriff’s investigators in the murder of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer. The motive for the murder of the deputy, which happened on Saturday night in Palmdale, remains unclear to investigators, the sources said. His mother claims her son has mental illness and had tried to get him help for years. It wasn’t immediately clear if Salazar has legal representation.

"Sources told ABC News investigators are now actively looking for any accounts suspect Salazar had on social media and in gaming. No signs of extremism or radicalization have been found, but it’s believed he may have been active in the world of gaming. Since the arrest only happened in the morning and moved very quickly overnight, the work digging into his background is underway Monday afternoon. Asked by ABC News if the attack was random, the sheriff said it was not clear."

ABC News reports:

"The gun used in the ambush killing of a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy appears to have been purchased legally, without raising any red flags regarding the suspected gunman's mental health, two law enforcement officials briefed on the probe told ABC News. Investigators are trying to determine whether the suspect, Kevin Salazar, had an officially documented history of psychiatric problems and whether that would have or should have triggered red flags that might have stopped him from buying a gun.

"Salazar’s mother told ABC News that she had reported concerns over her son’s mental health to law enforcement, but it remains unclear whether any such reports would have risen to a level that should have blocked her son from being able to legally purchase a gun. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has not commented on whether Salazar’s mother contacted them about her son’s mental health."

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Corruption.  NBC News reports:

"Two former East Cleveland, Ohio, police officers were sentenced this week for stealing thousands of dollars from people they pulled over during traffic stops. A judge ordered Willie Sims, 32, to two years in prison Thursday. His partner, Alfonzo Cole, 35, was sentenced Monday to 2 1/2 years in prison and was fined $40,000, court records show. In total, Sims and Cole stole $14,781 from six victims between July 2020 and July 2021 while on duty, prosecutors said. Cole also swiped two firearms from the victims, the Cuyahoga County Office of the Prosecutor said in a news release. Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Michael J. Russo told Sims that his actions have "disgraced" hard-working officers. "The one person that the public should be able to have confidence in ... would be your emergency services, your police officers, your firefighters, your EMTs," Russo said. "You've shaken the confidence of the public in the criminal justice system and the trust they put in police officers."

Faith and trust in law enforcement remains increasingly unwarranted as more and more malfeasance, abuse, aggressive unjustified violence, and murders perpetrated by officers are exposed to the light of day.

"The two men were arrested on July 9, 2021, one day after a motorist reported to the East Cleveland Police Department that they took $4,000 during a traffic stop at a gas station, the new release said. The victim was supposed to give a statement in court Thursday but told prosecutors that he had changed his mind because he feared being "targeted." The 21-year-old man said he was on his way to a funeral home to pay for his mother’s services when the officers robbed him, according to Cleveland.com. Sims and Cole's arrests are connected to a wider investigation into the East Cleveland Police Department for corruption, according to NBC affiliate WKYC of Cleveland. More than a dozen current and former officers have been charged with various crimes, including former Police Chief Scott Gardner, who is accused of fraud, theft, money laundering and tampering with records. He has denied the charges."

The following is appalling:

"Prosecutors said that on July 7, 2020, Sims responded to a gas station in East Cleveland after a 52-year-old victim got into a verbal altercation with a woman. The victim had placed a firearm he was carrying on the seat of his car and $3,850 in cash fell out. Sims ordered the victim out of the car and then searched the vehicle, according to prosecutors. Sims then took the $3,850, arrested the victim and had the car towed, prosecutors allege. Four months later, on Nov. 8, 2020, Sims swiped $1,300 from a car belonging to a 34-year-old victim. The victim said in court that Sims "made every excuse" for stopping him and ordered him out of the car. When the victim returned to his vehicle, he noticed that the money was missing. The victim told the judge that he did not report the stolen money because he had drugs in the vehicle. The victim said Sims pulled him over again two other times. During the second incident, Sims didn't steal from the victim. "I didn't have anything to take so he left," the victim told the court. The third incident occurred on July 8, 2021. The victim said Sims stopped him at a gas station and was ordered out of the vehicle. When the victim refused, Sims "roughed me up a little bit," the man said. He told the court that he was placed in the back of a police car while Sims and other officers "ransacked" his vehicle. Prosecutors said Sims took $781 and suspected marijuana edibles from the car."

Get this:

"Sims apologized to his family and friends, telling the court that he was sorry "for putting myself in this position." In addition to time in prison, he was fined $40,000."

Think his apology has any credibility?

"Cole was accused of stealing money, marijuana and guns from victims on four separate occasions, prosecutors said. During one traffic stop on Sept. 22, 2020, he robbed a 43-year-old victim of $850 and about $400 worth of suspected marijuana, according to the news release. He then issued the driver a traffic citation. The citation included his signature and the forged signature of a police sergeant who was not on the scene, prosecutors said. Sims and Cole each pleaded guilty last month to four counts of robbery and one count of theft in office. Cole apologized for his actions during his sentence, according to WKYC. Judge Russo told Cole that he "damaged everybody in the community." "When a[n] individual who is a police officer has taken that oath, he, in essence, is in a criminal category of his own," Russo said. "He, in effect, is a traitor to the system. He’s far worse than your normal burglar or robber or criminal."

No question.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

In follow-up to another horrendous case covered here and elsewhere, ABC News reports:

"The family of a New Mexico man who was fatally shot by officers who responded to the wrong address has filed a lawsuit over what they claim were "extreme, unreasonable actions" that resulted in his death. Three Farmington police officers who were responding to a domestic violence call around 11:30 p.m. local time on April 5 mistakenly went to the home of Robert Dotson -- approaching house number 5305 instead of 5308, state police said. Body camera footage released by the police department showed the officers knocking and announcing themselves several times, then debating whether they were at the right address after getting no response. As the officers were leaving, Dotson opened his screen door armed with a handgun. The officers opened fire, striking Dotson 12 times, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed Friday. He was later pronounced dead at the scene."

These gutless jackbooted bastards in blue clearly embrace the murderous 'shoot first, ask questions later' mentality.

Gets worse.  Get this:

"After the initial shooting, according to the complaint, Dotson's wife fired from the doorway not knowing who had shot her husband, with officers returning fire. Neither she nor the officers were harmed. She was not charged with a crime, state police said. The lawsuit alleges that the city failed to properly train the officers in use of force, and that the three officers "acted unreasonably" and "applied excessive, unnecessary force." It also alleges they deprived Dotson, a father of two, of his state constitutional rights, including the right to enjoy life and liberty. "Legally, he was deprived of his life and liberty. His heirs were deprived of his love, affection, income," Doug Perrin, one of the attorneys representing the family, told Albuquerque ABC affiliate KOAT."

Sadly, how the jackbooted bastards in blue get their cookies off murderously abusing power.

"The complaint alleges the officers did not announce themselves loudly enough. From the second floor of the house, Dotson and his wife allegedly did not hear police announce themselves, only a possible knock at the door, at which point Dotson put on a robe to go answer. "Mr. Dotson went downstairs, he got a pistol off of the refrigerator because he didn't know who was behind the door. And when he opened the door, all hell broke loose," Thomas Clark, another attorney representing the Dotson family, told KOAT. The complaint also claimed that officers handcuffed and took Dotson's wife and their two children to be questioned, "rather than acknowledging their error or attempting to protect and console" them."

... The jackbooted nazi way.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Luis Robles, an attorney for the city of Farmington and the three officers, confirmed that they were initially placed in handcuffs but did not know for how long."

How could that be?  How could you not know?  How could that not have been part of the report made by these jackbooted bastards?  ... Or, are you protecting and coddling these pieces of human excrement?

"The complaint, which is seeking unspecified punitive damages, names the city of Farmington and the three officers -- Daniel Estrada, Dylan Goodluck and Waylon Wasson -- as defendants. Robles said the officers "had no choice but to use deadly force to defend themselves" when Dotson pointed a gun at them."

That's a crock of shit, Counselor.  A 'shoot first, ask questions later' mentality.  Worse, these incompetent pieces of shit were at the wrong house.  That victim had the right to be armed.  Had no idea who the f--k was at his door and what they wanted.  The jackbooted bastards immediately opened fire.  Gutlessly murdered him.  Yet, you bastards in officer defense counsel, law enforcement, and prosecution still remain determinedly clueless.  One reason of an increasing number, precisely why law enforcement is not, and cannot, be trusted.  Delusionally think that will not lead to more needless deaths of innocent civilians as well as officers?

Raw insanity, zero credibility, a blatant lie:

"While this incident was tragic, our officers' actions were justified," Robles, said in a statement to ABC News. "On that night and always, we strive to do what is right, and we will always remain committed to the safety and well-being of our community."

Determinedly clueless congenital liars in officer defense counsel, law enforcement, and prosecution.  Sad, isn't it?

Insult to injury?  Get this:

"All three officers remain employed by the city as police officers, Robles said."

No more than an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties, and the community they determinedly, cluelessly fail to serve.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"State police turned over their investigation into the shooting to the New Mexico Attorney General's Office in May. The attorney general's office is currently awaiting the evaluation and recommendation of a use of force expert they contracted to review the details of the case, a spokesperson said Friday."

Clearly, stonewalling remains alive and well.

In far greater detail, NBC News reports:

"The wife of an armed New Mexico homeowner whom police officers fatally shot when they went to the wrong house on a domestic violence call said she was treated like a suspect, detained for hours and given few details about why officers gunned down her husband. Months later, the Farmington Police Department still hasn’t reached out to Kim Dotson or her family since police killed Robert Dotson, 52, on April 5, she said. She said in an interview Wednesday that she learned the officers had knocked on the wrong door that night only because her son is a police officer in the area and was able to read the dispatch log. “I feel helpless the way all of this has happened,” said Dotson, 49, a former trauma nurse, who said she quit the profession after she tended to her husband when he was shot multiple times in the doorway of their home. “I don’t understand how these guys get to go home to their families and they broke apart our family,” she said. “We didn’t do anything wrong.” Unaware that it was police officers who had opened fire, Dotson said, she returned fire — and the officers shot 19 more times into her home, according to a civil rights suit her family filed in federal district court Friday. She was uninjured and hasn’t faced charges."

Why should she?

"The suit, which names the city of Farmington and the three officers who fired as defendants, alleges that the killing was unjustified. Dotson’s lawyers provided the complaint to NBC News. A lawyer for the officers, Luis Robles, said in an interview that the officers had no choice but to fire after Robert Dotson raised his gun."

That's a crock of shit.  Gutless jackbooted bastards in blue with a 'shoot first, ask questions later' mentality.

The following has zero credibility.  No more than clueless, disingenuous shyster defense counsel talking out his ass, defending the indefensible:

“My heart goes out to her,” Robles said. “Her husband made this mistake from which he could not recover by pointing a gun at these police officers … even though they made a mistake by showing up at the wrong house.” Robles blamed the error on the officers’ computer-aided dispatch system."

Gets worse.  Get this:

"A police spokeswoman referred questions to the city attorney’s office, which didn’t respond."

Surprised?  No transparency.  Protecting and coddling gutless, jackbooted murderers in blue.  Clearly, not possible to credibly defend the indefensible.

"Police Chief Steve Hebbe has called the shooting an "extremely traumatic event" and said he was "just heartbroken by the circumstances surrounding this."

Empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric.  No substance.  No credibility.  None.

The following is double talk by the Chief talking out both sides his determinedly clueless ass:

"In an interview on NewsNation in April, Hebbe said that it wasn’t unusual for residents in that part of New Mexico, which is in the Four Corners region, to answer their doors armed and that "when he raises the gun up and points it at the officers, that's when the officers respond." Asked whether Robert Dotson had done anything wrong, Hebbe said: "No."

How about that?  Clueless defense of the 'shoot first, ask questions later' mentality of the murderous jackbooted bastards in blue.  One reason of an increasing number, precisely why law enforcement is not, and cannot, be trusted.  Delusionally think that will not lead to more needless deaths of innocent civilians as well as officers?

Insult to injury?  Think the public is not at continued risk courtesy of these egregiously incompetent, murderous jackbooted bastards?  Get this:

"Robles said two officers identified in the suit have returned to regular duties, though the case is under review by the state attorney general’s office. A third remains on leave but plans to return to regular duty, he said."

Outrageous.

"A spokesman for the attorney general's office said a use-of-force expert is reviewing the case. The officer who remains on leave, Waylon Wasson, opened fire in another incident last year, Robles said. Police body camera video from the previous shooting shows Wasson, who was not identified in a statement released with the video, firing at the driver of a moving car after the vehicle nearly pinned him against his own cruiser. The driver pleaded guilty this year to aggravated battery on a peace officer and other charges, court records show."

Using the above as an excuse to commit murder in the present case?

Here's the problem with the gutless 'shoot first, ask questions later' mentality embraced by the murderers in blue:

"Most officers never fire their service weapons, according to the nonprofit National Police Foundation, but a small subset shoot multiple times and remain sworn officers."

More clueless disingenuous bullshit:

“Officer Wasson did not choose to become involved in two shootings,” Robles said. “Instead, the two situations thrust themselves on him.”

Clueless, gutless defense of the indefensible.

"Dotson said that before gunfire erupted April 5, she and her husband — a longtime auto mechanic whom she called a doting family man who could fix anything — were in bed talking about the week ahead when they heard a faint knock at the front door. It was 11:30 p.m., and the door to their second-floor bedroom was closed, she said. She said neither she nor her husband heard officers announce themselves, which unedited body camera video released by the police department shows them doing three times. After the third knock, Robert Dotson put on his robe and began descending their stairs, Kim Dotson said, adding that she planned to grab her robe and follow him. Before he opened the door, she said, he grabbed a .45-caliber pistol from the kitchen. Unedited body camera video shows the officers outside discussing whether they’re at the correct address. After Wasson knocks a third time, a dispatcher tells them they were supposed to go to an address that doesn’t match the house number seen on camera, the video shows. Wasson can be heard laughing and using an expletive and is then seen quickly backing up. Later in the video, Wasson can be heard saying he had heard a gun being cocked inside. With a flashlight shining on it, the door opens and Wasson says, “Hey, hands up,” and begins to shoot, the video shows. In an edited version of the video, the police department slowed down the exchange and placed a circle around the gun in Robert Dotson’s hand. In a security video from inside the home provided by Robles, Dotson can be seen raising his gun — the officers don’t identify themselves, and “Mr. Dotson is being blinded by a flashlight,” said a family lawyer, Tom Clark. “Why would he not raise his gun?” Clark said."

How about that?  This guy was murdered by these gutless pieces of shit in blue.  -- The victim of a 'shoot first, ask questions later' gutless mentality.

"Dotson said she was walking downstairs when she heard a barrage of shots. “I freaked out,” she said. “I ran back upstairs and grabbed another handgun.” Dotson told her two high school-age children to dial 911, she said, then she ran downstairs and found her husband lying in a pool of blood by the front door. She said her instinct as a trauma nurse was to secure the scene. With no idea who was in her front yard, she said, she opened the screen door and fired with a 9 mm pistol, trying to scare off whoever had shot her husband. Officers returned fire; she was still unaware of who was shooting, she said. “There is no reason with the amount of bullets that were shot at me that I should be here talking with you today,” she said. In the body camera video, Wasson yells “hands up” before he fires at Kim Dotson. Twenty seconds later, an officer identifies the group as police. Dotson said she never heard the identification. She put her gun down and began checking for her husband’s pulse. She found none, started CPR and continued yelling for her children to call the police, she said. Eventually, she said, officers ordered her to surrender. “I said, ‘Somebody, please come help me,’” she recalled. “Somebody shot and killed my husband.”

Yet, the self-serving disingenuous bullshit continues unabated:

"Several minutes later, while Wasson is still at the scene, he can be heard providing his account of what happened in the body camera video: He had been knocking when he heard the gun cock. Then he and the two other officers backed up, he says. “The dude comes to his door, points the firearm at us, and we get in a gunfight,” he says. “And then the female comes out of the house, and she points it at us, as well.” It isn’t clear whom Wasson is talking to, and he doesn't say the officers are at the wrong home. In their initial statements early the next morning, which were obtained by Dotson’s lawyers, none of the three officers related that detail to state police investigators, either, Clark said."

Interesting, isn't it?  Yet, the self-serving disingenuous bullshit continues unabated:

"Robles disputed that, saying the officers didn’t speak with investigators the morning after the shooting. When they did, he added in an email, "the officers acknowledge that they went to the 'wrong' address."

Think so?  Believe it?  Think he isn't protecting and coddling the jackbooted bastards?

"Dotson said she was handcuffed and put in the back of a police cruiser. After roughly an hour, with blood smeared across her body, she was taken to the police department and placed in a small room with nothing on but a bloody robe, she said. She said she remained there until about 8 a.m. She later learned that her children had been taken to the station as well. At some point, Dotson said, a state police official told her that local authorities killed her husband. She was asked for a statement, she said, but she was given no other details about her husband’s death. Officials in Farmington, a city of about 46,000 people, didn’t respond to a request for comment. State police officials couldn’t be reached for comment. “She was treated as if she was a criminal,” said another family lawyer, Mark Curnutt. “It’s a genuine question to say: What level of compassion do these people have and are they capable of showing?” With the lawsuit, a third family lawyer said, Dotson hopes to raise public awareness about what happened to her and her family to change how the police department hires, trains and supervises officers. The suit also seeks unspecified damages for conduct it describes as "shameful."

More on this as the story continues.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

No transparency.  None.  Zero.  Zilch.  Nada.  Why?  The Associated Press reports:

"Hundreds of rioters have been charged, convicted and sentenced for joining the mob attack on the U.S. Capitol. Unlike their cases, Samuel Lazar’s appears to have been resolved in secret — kept under seal with no explanation, even after his release from prison."

Why?

"Lazar, 37, of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, was arrested in July 2021 on charges that he came to the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, dressed in tactical gear and protective goggles, and used chemical spray on officers who were desperately trying to beat back the angry Donald Trump supporters. There is no public record of a conviction or a sentence in Lazar’s court docket."

Why?  How is that possible?  Forget?  This is supposed to be a democratic republic, isn't it?  Not an autocracy.

"But the Bureau of Prisons told The Associated Press that the man was released from federal custody this week after completing a sentence for assaulting or resisting a federal officer. Lazar was sentenced in Washington’s federal court on March 17 to 30 months in prison, according to the Bureau of Prisons, but there’s no public record of such a hearing. He had been jailed since July 2021."

How is it possible there is no public record of the hearing?

"Questions about Lazar’s case have been swirling for months, but the details of his conviction and sentence have not been previously reported. The Justice Department has refused to say why the case remains under wraps, and attorneys for Lazar did not respond to multiple requests for comment from The Associated Press. The judge overseeing Lazar’s case in May rejected a request from media outlets — including the AP — to release any sealed records that may exist."

Why?

"The case is raising concerns about transparency in the massive Jan. 6 investigation — the largest in Justice Department history. Court hearings and records — including sentencing hearings and plea agreements — are supposed to be open and available to the public and the press unless there’s a compelling need for secrecy."

What need for secrecy could that possibly be?  The public deserves an explanation.  There is so little faith and trust in all levels of government.  This just adds to it.

"Lazar was transferred in July from FCI Fort Dix — a federal lockup in New Jersey — to “community confinement” overseen by the Bureau of Prisons, which means he was either in home confinement or a halfway house, according to a prisons system spokesperson. A social media post from Lazar’s sister that month shows Lazar standing outside waving an American flag with the caption: “Hallelujah Praise God free at last ... #walkingfree.” Secret plea hearings are not unheard of, though the records are often unsealed ahead of sentencing. In an unrelated example, the guilty plea by George Papadopoulos, the former Trump campaign adviser who triggered the Russia influence investigation, was entered under seal and kept out of view for weeks — until special counsel Robert Mueller disclosed that Papadopoulos had admitted making false statements to the FBI. Subsequent proceedings, including his sentencing hearing, were matters of public record."

Get this:

"George Washington University criminal law professor Randall Eliason, who spent 12 years as a federal prosecutor in Washington, said he couldn’t remember any case during his Justice Department tenure in which a sentencing hearing and sentence were placed under seal. Eliason said it’s possible that “either there’s some kind of security concern about him personally, or maybe more likely that he’s cooperating in some respect that they don’t want the people he’s cooperating against to know about.” But many Jan. 6 defendants have cooperation deals with the government, and their cases haven’t been resolved in secret. Defendants who agree to cooperate with prosecutors often get their sentencing hearings delayed until they finish cooperating. “The fact that he also got sentenced, went to prison and is already out, that whole situation is just unusual,” Eliason said."

Precisely, why there is a compelling need for a credible explanation that includes a level of transparency that is greater than none, zero.

"Lazar is among more than 1,100 defendants charged with federal crimes related to the Jan. 6 attack. Outside the Capitol that day, Lazar was carrying a bullhorn and wearing ski goggles, a tactical vest with a radio attached and camouflage-style face paint. Videos captured Lazar approaching police lines outside the Capitol and discharging an orange chemical irritant toward officers, an FBI agent said in a court filing. An officer’s body camera showed Lazar retreat down steps after police deployed a chemical at him. Lazar then turned and sprayed two officers, according to the agent. Lazar shouted profane insults at police through the bullhorn, calling them tyrants and yelling, “Let’s get their guns!” Another video captured Lazar saying, “There’s a time for peace and there’s a time for war.” U.S. Magistrate Judge Robin Meriweather in Washington, D.C., ordered Lazar detained pending trial, ruling that he posed a threat to public safety. The magistrate noted that Lazar also had been photographed posing with firearms on a public street during an August 2020 rally. In January 2022, a new indictment charged Lazar with five counts, including felony offenses. He pleaded not guilty to the charges the following month. In March 2022, prosecutors and Lazar’s attorney asked for more time “to negotiate a disposition of the matter short of trial.” In June 2022, U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson canceled a status conference for Lazar’s case because he wasn’t available to appear by video from jail. That’s the last publicly available court filing to address the status of the case."

Outrageous.  Especially, in what is supposed to be a democratic republic under law and the U.S. Constitution.

"In April of this year, attorneys for a coalition of news outlets — including the AP — asked the judge to unseal any records related to a change of plea or sentencing hearing for Lazar, noting a March NBC News story — citing an anonymous source — that said Lazar was scheduled to be sentenced in a secret hearing. “The public docket provides no explanation as to why, despite the strong presumption of transparency in this Circuit, these judicial records are not available to the public,” the coalition lawyers wrote. After Lazar’s secret sentencing, his brother told Lancaster Online — which first reported his release from prison in July —- that their mother was “even more confused,” adding “she has no idea if and when he’s coming home, assuming he was actually given a sentence today.” In May, Judge Jackson denied the news outlets’ request after a prosecutor and defense attorney argued against releasing the records, though she said the case law cited by the press coalition “plainly recognizes that there may be circumstances where a need for secrecy can be outweighed by competing significant interests.” Jackson said there were no “undocketed” records in this or any other case pending before her, adding that “nothing has been sealed in this case without leave of court.” But the judge said the news outlets could renew their request, setting a Sept. 29 deadline for its lawyers to file “an updated status report setting forth their position or positions on this matter.”

Unjustified secrecy, that is, determined lack of transparency for no legitimate reason is indeed the mark of a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No justice.  CBS News(AP) reports:

"A Mississippi jury has rejected a civil lawsuit seeking money damages from two police officers who fatally shot a man while serving a warrant at the wrong house. A federal court jury in Oxford on Thursday ruled that Southaven officers Zachary Durden and Samuel Maze had not violated the civil rights of Ismael Lopez when Durden shot him to death in 2017. The verdict came after a four-day trial in a lawsuit by Claudia Linares, the widow of Lopez, who sought $20 million in compensation. "The verdict was that the jurors did not believe that the use of force used by Officers Durden and Maze was excessive in light of all the facts that they considered," attorney Murray Wells told CBS affiliate WREG-TV."

Nazi justice in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Outrageously:

"The case was notable in part because the city of Southaven had previously argued that Lopez had no civil rights to violate because the Mexican man was living in the United States illegally and faced deportation orders and criminal charges for illegally possessing guns. A judge rejected that argument in 2020, finding constitutional rights apply to "all persons."

Gets worse:

"There are a couple of huge factors at play. One was this unbelievable mistake of going to the wrong address and we felt it was just incompetent because they didn't even take the time to look at the boxes," Wells told WREG. "They went to the wrong side of the road, so that started this." The city of Southaven and now-retired Southaven Police Chief Steve Pirtle were dismissed from the case in June after Senior U.S. District Judge Michael P. Mills found they weren't liable for the officers' actions under federal law."

The 'judge' is incompetent.  Protected and coddled the murderous jackbooted bastards in blue:

"According to a report by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Lopez and Linares were in bed on July 24, 2017, when officers knocked on the door of their trailer. The officers were intending to serve a domestic violence warrant on a neighbor across the street, but got the addresses confused. Officers told the state investigators that they knocked on the door without identifying themselves. The door opened, a dog ran out, and Lopez pointed a rifle through the cracked door, officers said. Maze shot the dog and then, in quick succession, Durden fired multiple shots at Lopez."

'Shoot first ask questions later.'  The nazi jackbooted bastard in blue way.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Think the following credible?  Get this:

"A third officer on the scene told investigators he heard Durden order Lopez to drop the rifle several times before shooting Lopez."

Believe it?  Think so?  First, police have a well-deserved reputation for being congenital liars.  Second, there is no evidence supporting the above quote:

"No known video exists of the shooting."

How can that be?  No body camera video?  Did they turn it off prior to the raid?

"Those officers used tactical maneuvers to hide themselves as police officers," Wells told WREG. "They never announced that they were police and at the end of the day Ismael Lopez was shot through a door, in the back of the head."

How about that?  Gets worse, far worse.  Get this:

"The 41-year-old man died from a bullet that struck him in the rear of his skull, more than six feet (two meters) from the door. Police said he was running away."

Gets even worse:

"Lawyers for Lopez, who died before he could be taken to a hospital, have disputed that he pointed the gun at officers. They noted his fingerprints and DNA were not found on the rifle, which was recovered more than six feet away from his body. They suggested that Durden shot Lopez because the officer was reacting to Maze shooting the dog. When state investigators arrived, they found Lopez lying dead in a prone position with his hands cuffed behind his back in the middle of the living room. A rifle was laying on the couch. After the shooting, a state grand jury declined to indict anyone in the case."

Nazi justice in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

In light of all the above, the following is particularly galling:

"Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhite, in a statement, again offered condolences to the family of Lopez, but praised the outcome. "This verdict proves what we've believed to be correct since day one as our officers responded appropriately considering the circumstance of being threatened with deadly force," Musselwhite said. "We've stood behind them during the last six years for this very reason and, for their sake, are glad this trial is over."

Apparently, the fix was in.  Think not?

"Wells told WREG it's uncertain what the future holds now for Lopez's widow.  "We look at whether or not we want to take this up or whether or not this closes a chapter of her life and she's just able to move on," Wells said."

What?  Sit back and accept nazi justice in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only?  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Protected and coddled.  Justice?  Wake up.  In follow-up to another egregious case covered earlier here and elsewhere, ABC News(AP) reports:

"A former Missouri police officer was sentenced Monday to five years of probation for shooting into a fleeing vehicle several times and wounding the driver. Matthew Schanz, 36, pleaded guilty to second-degree assault. As part of the plea agreement, he must surrender his state law enforcement certification until his probation ends."

If employed again as an officer, think this son of a bitch won't be a threat to the public?

"His attorney, John Bouhasin, didn't immediately respond to a message left Monday seeking comment. Schanz and Christopher Gage were officers in Velda City, a St. Louis suburb. In February 2020, they stopped a driver for expired temporary tags. Prosecutors said the driver drove off when officers found marijuana in the car, and Schanz fired nine shots at the fleeing vehicle. The 37-year-old driver crashed after being shot. He was seriously injured but recovered. Gage, who also opened fire, pleaded guilty last year to unlawful use of a weapon and was sentenced to three years of probation."

In follow-up to another horrendous case covered repeatedly here and elsewhere, The Washington Post reports:

"During a court hearing Friday, Jordan Steinke’s voice broke as she apologized to Yareni Rios-Gonzalez, a woman she had placed inside a police vehicle shortly before a train crashed into it last year. Rios-Gonzalez survived the Sept. 16, 2022, incident but suffered serious injuries. Steinke, who at the time was a police officer working a traffic stop in Colorado, said during her sentencing hearing that she’d thought about the crash every day since. “What happened that night has haunted me for 364 days,” Steinke said. “I remember your cries and your screams.” Steinke, 29, was terminated after she was convicted of assault and reckless endangerment in July, and she was sentenced to 30 months of supervised probation last week. As part of her sentence, Steinke must also complete 100 hours of community service and undergo a mental health assessment. District Court Judge Timothy Kerns said he had been considering jail time for Steinke but changed his mind after both sides argued for a probationary sentence, according to the Denver Post. “Ms. Rios-Gonzalez has shown that compassion and grace should win out,” Kerns said during the hearing. Through her attorney, Steinke declined to comment to The Washington Post on Monday. Chris Ponce, an attorney for Rios-Gonzalez, was not available for comment Monday evening. Ponce told the Associated Press that Rios-Gonzalez had been in pain since the incident. “She’s had to deal with (doctor) appointments and having her life so radically changed,” he said. “And feeling upset, very upset about that — angry about that — but on the other hand, feeling for Ms. Steinke, and, I think, truly empathetically feeling sorry for how she lost her career.”

As an officer, Steinke’s judgment clearly was severely lacking.  Her remorse is certainly a step in the right direction.  It is not clear, however, whether or not after her probationary sentence she could again be employed as an officer.  How could she not have known the vehicle was parked on the tracks?  Not credible.  She had to have walked on them to lock her prisoner in the vehicle.

"The Platteville and Fort Lupton police departments, which were involved in the incident, did not respond to requests for comment."

No surprise.  Not possible to credibly defend the indefensible.  This entire incident reflects poorly on law enforcement.  Here's why.

Readers will recall:

"On the night of Sept. 16, 2022, an officer with the Platteville Police Department pulled over a vehicle driven by Rios-Gonzalez near the town after receiving a report of a “road rage incident involving a firearm” in Fort Lupton earlier that day, according to an initial report from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. Rios-Gonzalez stopped just past the train tracks, and the Platteville officer stopped behind her on the tracks, the CBI said. Two officers from Fort Lupton, one of them Steinke, also arrived on scene to help conduct what the CBI described as a “high-risk traffic stop.” Steinke then handcuffed Rios-Gonzalez, who was 20 at the time, and locked her in the Platteville police officer’s vehicle, the AP reported. During Steinke’s trial earlier this year, her attorneys argued that she did not know the vehicle had been parked on the tracks, according to the AP."

How could she not have known the vehicle was parked on the tracks?  Not credible.  She had to have walked on them to lock her prisoner in the vehicle.

"During a July court hearing, Steinke said it had been “incredibly dark” that night, and she was unfamiliar with the area, which was “miles outside” of her jurisdiction."

No more than an empty, hollow, meaningless excuse with no substance.

“I was fairly certain that that particular stop was going to end in a gunfight,” Steinke said. “I never in a million years thought a train was going to come plowing through my scene.” Shortly after, the train struck the vehicle, the CBI said. Rios-Gonzalez was treated at a hospital for multiple serious injuries, including a traumatic brain injury, according to the AP."

For good reason:

"In January, Rios-Gonzalez filed a lawsuit against the officers. After being charged in April, Steinke was convicted in July of reckless endangerment and third-degree assault, both misdemeanors in Colorado. After the verdict, Steinke was terminated from the Fort Lupton Police Department, her attorney confirmed to The Post. A second officer, who was charged with five counts of reckless endangerment, is awaiting trial, according to the AP. During Friday’s hearing, Steinke said she recognized the “great deal of physical, emotional and psychological pain” that Rios-Gonzalez and her family had experienced since the incident. “As a police officer, I never intended for another human to come to harm under my watch,” she said. “I feel very much responsible for what happened to you that night.” Steinke said she would work to help other officers learn about the dangers of traffic stops around railroad tracks, 9 News reported. “I will educate not only current and future police officers, but any and all who will listen,” she said."

Think you've heard it all?  You haven't.  In follow-up to an earlier case covered here and elsewhere, The Washington Post reports:

"When Baton Rouge police officers detained Ternell Brown in June, they didn’t take her to the district’s precinct, according to a newly filed lawsuit. Instead, it alleges, the officers drove past the police station and down a side street to a row of industrial buildings ringed by steel fencing. They took Brown into one of them, a squat, white warehouse with no police markings, the lawsuit states. This, attorneys for Brown allege, was what officers dubbed the “Brave Cave”: an unmarked police facility and “torture warehouse” where the department’s street-crimes unit detained people and subjected them to assault and invasive strip and body-cavity searches. Brown, who had been detained on suspicion of illegal drug activity after officers found bottles of legal prescription medication in her vehicle during a traffic stop, was held in the “Brave Cave” for two hours, according to her lawsuit. Officers allegedly forced Brown, 51, to expose herself in a strip search and examined her body cavities with a flashlight. She was released without a charge. Brown’s lawsuit, filed Monday, is the latest allegation facing an embattled Baton Rouge Police Department that has paid out settlements and faced scrutiny for previous strip searches. The department’s use of the “Brave Cave” was first reported in late August when Jeremy Lee, another Baton Rouge resident represented by Brown’s attorneys, sued the police department, several officers, the city and the parish, alleging that he was beaten by officers in the warehouse after a January arrest. Lee’s lawsuit, accompanied by a body-camera image of the 22-year-old in a wooden chair in the bare interior of the “Brave Cave,” prompted the shuttering of the facility, the disbanding of the street crimes unit and an ongoing investigation by the FBI, according to Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome. “We are committed to addressing these troubling accusations, ensuring that any misconduct is exposed and those responsible are held accountable,” Weston Broome said in a statement to The Post."

Think so?  Believe it?  Think again:

"But other residents who were taken to the “Brave Cave,” including Brown, have since come forward. “We think we’re just scratching the surface,” Ryan Thompson, an attorney for Lee and Brown, said in a Monday news conference. In an interview with The Washington Post, Police Chief Murphy Paul Jr. declined to comment on Brown’s and Lee’s cases, saying the department is conducting an internal investigation. Paul said in an August news conference that the “Brave Cave” was a narcotics processing facility owned by the parish that had been used by the police department for decades, but that he’d never heard of officers using the name “Brave Cave” or the alleged misconduct in the warehouse until Lee’s lawsuit."

Think so?  Believe it?  How could the police chief not have known?

“We made a mistake on this one,” Paul said to The Post. “I’ve got to own that.”

A "mistake?"  Jesus Christ.  Give me a break.

"Anderson Dotson, the East Baton Rouge parish attorney, declined to comment on the pending litigation. The FBI’s Louisiana office told The Post it was aware of the allegations against the police department. The street-crimes unit focused on Baton Rouge’s “most violent” regions and polices drugs and violent crimes, according to the police department’s website. Brown’s lawsuit alleged that the unit regularly took detainees to the “Brave Cave” for questioning, adding that many were detained and released without a formal arrest. “Everybody we’ve spoken to has said that when they were taken to the ‘Brave Cave,’ they were stripped and searched,” Jessica Hawkins, another attorney for Lee and Brown, told The Post. Lee was arrested in January when he visited a house that officers were serving a warrant on, Hawkins said. The officers pulled down Lee’s pants to strip-search him in the middle of the street and threatened to beat him, according to Lee’s lawsuit. At the “Brave Cave,” Lee was repeatedly punched and kicked by three officers before being interrogated, court documents state. He was then taken to jail but was so injured that he was rejected admission until he received medical care, according to the lawsuit. Lee was then treated for a fractured left rib, according to a hospital report. Lee and Brown also accuse the police department of a broad failure to correct previous instances of misconduct. An officer who beat Lee had previously strip-searched a 16-year-old in public during a traffic stop, leading the city to pay a $35,000 settlement, according to the lawsuit."

How the jackbooted bastards get their cookies off?

"That officer resigned shortly after Lee’s lawsuit, Weston Broome announced in late August. Brown’s lawsuit accuses the department of maintaining a strip-search policy that allows officers to subject non-arrestees to demeaning searches based solely on an officer’s suspicion. Brown, upon filing a complaint with the police department, was told that the officers had done nothing wrong, the lawsuit alleged. Brown’s lawsuit also accuses the department of ignoring complaints and quashing internal investigations of misconduct by the street-crimes unit. Though Paul, the police chief, said in the August news conference that he had only learned of a complaint about beatings at the “Brave Cave” in early August, Brown’s lawsuit alleged that he had been sent a complaint about Lee’s case in January."

Couldn't be the Chief is a congenital liar like the Trump nazi, could it?  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Paul told The Post that the department regularly revises its policies and that he would examine the strip-search policy after investigating the allegations in the lawsuits. Paul denied that the department stifled investigations and said he consistently disciplines officers found to commit wrongdoing. Although the January complaint was emailed to Paul, he said that he never reviewed it before an assistant forwarded the email to the department’s internal affairs team, which did not act on the complaint. “We’ve been pretty consistent in our discipline,” Paul said. “We’ve terminated officers for bad behavior.”

Think the Chief has any credibility?

"Paul said the department had transferred operations previously conducted at the warehouse to other department facilities and that he would wait for the department’s investigation to conclude and consider corrective measures before restoring the street-crimes unit. Two Baton Rouge police officers, one who was a member of the unit and one who was a former member, were placed on administrative leave Tuesday, Paul said."

A paid 'vacation?'

"Hawkins, the attorney for Lee and Brown, disagreed that the police department had successfully held officers accountable. 'There’s plenty that needs to be addressed,” Hawkins said. “We’re asking really for the whole unit to stay disbanded.”

Think that's anywhere near enough?

No justice in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  Not to neglect to mention a kangaroo impeachment process.  The Associated Press reports:

"Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was acquitted Saturday of all charges at a historic impeachment trial that divided Republicans over whether to remove a powerful defender of former President Donald Trump after years of scandal and criminal charges. The verdict reaffirmed Paxton’s durability in America’s biggest red state and is a broader victory for Texas’ hard right after an extraordinary trial that put on display fractures within the GOP nationally heading into the 2024 elections. In the end, Paxton was fully cleared by Senate Republicans, who serve alongside his wife, state Sen. Angela Paxton."

Raw nazism.  Unabashed.  Unvarnished.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Angela Paxton was not allowed to vote. But she attended all two weeks of the trial, including the reading of the verdict, when all but two of her fellow 18 Republican senators consistently voted to acquit her husband on 16 impeachment articles that accused him of misconduct, bribery and corruption. Ken Paxton, who was absent for most of the proceedings, did not attend the verdict. It clears the way for Paxton to reclaim his role as Texas’ top lawyer, more than three months after his stunning impeachment in the Texas House forced him to temporarily step aside."

Quite fortunately:

"The outcome far from ends Paxton’s troubles. He still faces trial on felony securities fraud charges, remains under a separate FBI investigation and is in jeopardy of losing his ability to practice law in Texas because of his baseless attempts to overturn the 2020 election."

Trouble in paradise?  NBC NEws reports:

"Frustration boiled over in a closed-door House GOP meeting Thursday morning when Speaker Kevin McCarthy all but dared his detractors to file the "motion to vacate" the speaker's chair and try to remove him. In the meeting, McCarthy told House Republicans, “If you want to file a motion to vacate, then file the f---ing motion,” according to two sources in the room who confirmed the comments to NBC News. It was a nod to members including Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., and others who are threatening to force him out of the speakership if he doesn’t comply with their demands, like putting certain bills on the floor and not passing a stopgap bill to prevent a government shutdown at the end of the month. Under current House rules, any one member can force a vote to vacate the speaker's chair, and it would take a majority of the chamber to remove him. McCarthy oversees a narrow GOP majority, with only four defections to spare before needing Democratic help to pass legislation. If all Democrats voted to remove him, just a handful of rebels could oust McCarthy. Later, McCarthy told reporters: “I showed frustration in here because I am frustrated with the [conference] — frustrated with some people in the conference.” He cited the holdup over passing defense appropriations legislation, which was supposed to pass this week but has been stalled even though there are no specific GOP complaints about that bill. Lawmakers Thursday morning acknowledged that the entire appropriations process is held up because some of the conservative Republicans are issuing more demands before the rest of the appropriations process can proceed."

Republicans have clearly lost themselves.  Democrats no better.  Have gutlessly failed to stand up to the nazi element in the GOP.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"The tense meeting comes as a divided House Republican conference is on course to force a government shutdown starting Oct. 1, torn over whether to approve a short-term measure to keep the government running. “Shutdowns are stupid,” said Rep. Dusty Johnson, R-S.D., a McCarthy ally and center-right lawmaker. He added of the motion to vacate threats: “Kevin McCarthy does not let these things get underneath his skin.” The root of the tension is aggressive demands by right-wing members who are insisting on spending cuts and policy add-ons to must-pass government funding legislation, which have no realistic chance of passing the Democratic-led Senate. They also say they won't accept a stopgap bill to buy more time. McCarthy was forced to punt Wednesday on a House vote to advance a defense funding bill, facing demands from right-wing members to show them a plan to satisfy their wishes. “At a bare minimum, we’ve got to address the border crisis. That’s a baseline,” Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, said. “A lot of us are frustrated.”

Neither party is worth a shit.  For totally different reasons.  Aren't we lucky?  LOL.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
