Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable. Time to step up.  Now.

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Three hundred sixty seven weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Hey, Sheriff?  Reportedly, promote Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 to Sergeant?  If true, yet another classic example of survival of the unfittest in the law enforcement community.  Readers are reminded this is the very same idiot, clueless asshole responsible for thousands of dollars of damage to the Pace Arrow as reported in each edition of this publication.  Far more to Kingsland property owner James Berardi in a property dispute.  -- A dispute engineered by Johnny Greene, apparently financed by a bribe to the former County Attorney, current District Attorney, and Sheriff.  A federal investigation of Llano County government and the aforementioned allegedly corrupt and abusive bastards in this ongoing fiasco is desperately needed.  Tim Chorney.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Three hundred sixty seven weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Three hundred sixty seven weeks.  Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Uncommon Valor.  As always, when a cop does something heroic and/or of exceptional value to the community, it leads in this publication.  Always.  Seatbelts on.  ABC News reports:

"When an expectant mother started to go into labor in a car along a Florida highway on Sunday, her husband quickly rushed for help. Master Deputy Daniel "Red" Jones of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office was nearby and responded, calling on the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue for assistance. But there was no time to waste. Jones ended up delivering the baby along Highway 60 in Plant City, Florida, east of Tampa, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. The release said Jones "provided constant encouragement and emotional support and utilized his training to ensure a safe delivery." The birth was captured on video by Jones' body camera and the sheriff's office also released edited footage of the event on its social media pages. In the video, the mom is heard telling Jones that the baby would be her sixth child. Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement he was "extremely proud" of the actions Jones, a 21-year veteran of the sheriff's office, took. "This is his third time assisting a citizen with delivering a baby!" Chronister said. "While delivering in the front seat of a car was not the original birth plan, Master Deputy Jones reassured the mother of six that she was in good hands. I wish mom, dad, and their new baby girl all the joy and happiness. Congratulations!"

Indeed, the very best in law enforcement.

"After the birth, the sheriff's office said Hillsborough County Fire Rescue transported the mother and baby to a local hospital for additional evaluation and care. The sheriff's office said Jones was thrilled to assist the family and even suggested they name the baby girl "Red" after him."

Uncommon Valor.  Exceptional public service.

Uncommon Valor.  Seatbelts on.  When America was young, strong, brave, and free.  NPR reports:

"This story is part of the My Unsung Hero series, from the Hidden Brain team, about people whose kindness left a lasting impression on someone else. About 40 years ago, when she was 18, Brenda Arnold planned a trip to visit her sister in Germany. The only information she had was her sister's address, at an apartment building. Her journey took about 30 hours, and by the end she was hungry, thirsty, and exhausted. So when she finally arrived at her sister's door, she was thrilled. "I thought, 'Oh my God, I've got this whole thing behind me finally,' " she recalled. But when she rang the bell, no one answered. After she rang it a few more times, she began to realize what was happening. "I started to get this sinking feeling and I thought, 'Oh no, wait, she's not here. She's at work. She doesn't know that I'm here and I have no way to reach her,'" Arnold said. "My world just came crashing down around me."

Imagine the desperation.  Eighteen-years-old.  In a foreign country.  Looking for her sister.

"Arnold felt like she was going to cry. She sat down on her suitcase, on the sidewalk in front of the apartment building, wondering what to do. After a while, a few people stopped and tried to talk to her. But Arnold had to tell them that she didn't speak German, so they kept on walking. Eventually, the woman who would become Arnold's unsung hero walked over. Like the others, she began in German, but when she realized Arnold didn't speak the language, she switched to English. The woman asked her if she was OK, and Arnold told the woman her tale of woe. "She said, 'Oh, well, would you like to come home with me and I can fix you something to eat?' " Arnold was amazed at the woman's generosity, and she agreed. It turned out the woman lived in the same building as Arnold's sister. In her kitchen, the woman offered Arnold a sandwich and a piece of cake, and then she told Arnold her own story."

Seatbelts on.

"Some 40 years earlier, during World War II, the woman's husband had been a prisoner of war in the United States. He was held captive for about two years. Despite his prisoner status, the Americans he encountered treated him well. So when her husband finally came home to Germany, the couple made a pact. "They vowed anytime they met an American, that they would be extremely nice to them and treat them kindly," Arnold said. "So that's what happened to me that day. I was the recipient of this kindness that had been extended to this woman's husband 40 years earlier." Today, Arnold is humbled by the ripple effects of that initial act of generosity, some 80 years later. "It really left a really deep impression on me because she took me into her home and she'd never seen me before," Arnold said. "And it also gave me a very deep sense of how interconnected the world is."

Indeed.  No question.

Uncommon Valor.  Seatbelts on.  When America was young, strong, brave, and free.  NPR reports:

"This story is part of the My Unsung Hero series, from the Hidden Brain team, about people whose kindness left a lasting impression on someone else. In 1970, Alan Ayers was preparing for a skydiving competition in Gainesville, Florida. It wasn't the first time he'd jumped out of a plane, but it was almost his last. Ayers would be jumping out of a Cessna 172, a small four seat passenger plane. In preparation, the passenger door and front passenger seat were removed from the plane. The passenger side seatbelt remained. Ayers' teammates jumped first, leaving him and the pilot as the only two people remaining in the plane. It was Ayers' turn. But as he stepped out into the air, his foot got caught in the passenger side seatbelt. "I was completely out of the plane on my back, staring up at the belly of the Cessna, with only my boot visible to the pilot ... I tried to pull myself up to reach the buckle, but I just couldn't," Ayers remembered. Thousands of feet in the air, dangling from the plane, Ayers was out of options."

Uncommon Valor.  This young pilot stood tall:

"And what happened next was incredible," Ayers said. "The 23-year-old pilot unbuckled her seatbelt, crouched down in the door of an airplane, with both hands off the yoke, and freed my ankle." Ayers tumbled away from the plane, opened his chute, and landed safely. After landing, he wasn't able to find the pilot to thank her. But more than 50 years later, she often crosses his mind. "To this day, I can see her two young hands reaching out of the door to unbuckle the belt," Ayers said. "I owe my life to this person and will always think of her as one of the bravest people imaginable."

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Law enforcement remains unfit to deal with autism.  ABC News reports:

"The intersection of policing, race, and autism has the potential to result in tragic outcomes. Black Americans are two to three times more likely to be killed by cops than white Americans, according to police data. Some of the hallmarks of autism - a developmental disability that millions of Americans have been diagnosed with - can further complicate interactions with police. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, autism can create challenges in social interactions, communication, and behavior. "Many individuals with autism don't respond immediately to commands. Many don't necessarily understand even some of the complicated commands that may be given by law enforcement agencies. So that may be seen as a form of noncompliance," autism advocate and ABC News contributor Areva Martin told "Nightline." In 2019, now 24-year-old Matthew Rushin caused a life-threatening multivehicle crash in Virginia Beach. His mother, Lavern Rushin, says her son's echolalia - a coping mechanism some people with autism may use when struggling to find their own words - was misunderstood by police at the scene of the crash. Lavern and Matthew Rushin say he was not suicidal and did not intentionally cause the car crash. Lavern Rushin said he was experiencing a focal seizure at the time of the crash, the result of traumatic brain injury sustained in a car accident two years earlier. "You can't fault somebody for having a medical episode. Just like you can't fault someone for having a heart attack behind the wheel," she said."

Police need to be better trained to deal with this issue.

"Matthew Rushin was arrested and initially charged with attempted murder. He eventually pleaded guilty to three felonies including malicious wounding and hit and run. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Believing her son's sentence to be unfair, Lavern Rushin took to social media to share Matthew's story. Her posts went viral, and in early 2021, then Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam granted Matthew a conditional pardon - freeing him after more than two years behind bars. "I truly believe that the petitions and the posts [and] just everything was brought up because he's a Black autistic young man that was wrongfully prosecuted," Lavern Rushin said. Matthew Rushin is still considered a felon and barred from driving and from contacting any of his victims or their families. He and his mother are now seeking a full pardon, saying that his felony conviction makes it harder for him to get a job."

Then there is the other side of this issue:

"The family of one of his victims, George Cusick, is strongly opposed to Matthew Rushin receiving a full pardon. George Cusick, one of the victims in the crash, was so badly injured he'll never walk, talk, or feed himself again, and needs 24-hour care, according to his family. Cusick's family maintains that Matthew was suicidal when the crash took place. "Matthew Rushin should not have been driving that night. He should never drive again. The parole restrictions must remain in place to protect him and the public," Cusick's wife Danna told "Nightline." The Virginia Beach Police Department said in a statement that their officers have been trained to identify and respond to people with autism, and expressed sympathy for "all who were impacted by the events of this tragic day." "My son is not a killer," Lavern Rushin said."

Get this:

"Iyun and Sylvester Osagie's autistic son, Osaze, also had a tragic encounter with police that turned out to be deadly. The 29-year-old was shot and killed by State College, Pennsylvania police in 2019 after a tense confrontation. The violent nature of his death is a stark contrast to the gentle and deeply religious young man they loved. "He was the peacemaker [with his siblings]. He was the one that would try to make sure that they don't fight and they get along very well," Sylvester Osagie said. Osaze Osagie also had schizophrenia and at times his parents had asked the police for help. "We actually thought they understood because they knew his situation," Sylvester Osagie said. As a young adult, Ozaze Osagie had been living in a residential program with his peers. He found comfort in the structure, like many people with autism. "He liked a pattern of activities," Sylvester Osagie said. "But when he was not in that structured environment, the level of discouragement and anxiety was overwhelming. And that's when he got off his medication and his situation would just spiral." When he left the program to live in an apartment with a roommate, the change seemed to disrupt him. In March 2019, his father received worrying messages and texts including one that indicated there would be trouble with the police "in a little bit."

Sad, isn't it?

"Sylvester Osagie says he frantically searched for his son, then alerted police when he couldn't find him. Osaze Osagie was not located that night. The next morning, Sylvester Osagie says he drove to his son's apartment only to find police and media swarming the building. "Eventually, they told me that they confronted him, that he had a knife and they shot him," Sylvester Osagie said. Police say someone saw Osaze that morning at a nearby grocery store and alerted police. The closest on-duty officer was sent to Osaze Osagie's apartment - an officer, the Osagies say, who did not know their son or his case. When Osaze Osagie opened his apartment door, police say he was holding a knife in his hand and that after unsuccessfully trying to subdue him, they opened fire - killing him. "A lot went wrong, just men with guns that show up to an autistic child's apartment and give him a million instructions. It shouldn't be this way," said Iyun Osagie. The district attorney declined to bring charges against the police officers, saying the shooting was justified."

The DA is certainly a problem.  Needs far better training and education himself.

"The Osagies have now filed a lawsuit saying police did not respond appropriately to someone with a known disability having a crisis and that they used "excessive force." The borough of State College called the shooting " a tragedy," but stated," that the police have "handled thousands of other mental health-related calls (including several with Osaze), with a number of these calls involving threats of violence and weapons, and none previously ended with a negative result and/or the need to deploy deadly force." Osaze's mother says she believes the fact that her son was a young Black man played a role in his death. "I made it very clear to them personally that if that had been their son at the other end of their gun, they wouldn't kill him," Iyun Osagie said."

No question.

"Around 20% of autistic youth had been stopped and questioned by police and nearly 5% had been arrested by age 21, according to a 2016 study published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders. "Unfortunately, what we see in law enforcement is that most of societal issues are placed upon the officer in the street. Now all of a sudden he or she has to react immediately and be able to see something and make that pivot almost immediately," said former NYPD and ABC News contributor Robert Boyce. Sleepy Hollow, New York, Police Officer Wendy Yancy is working to find ways to improve outcomes between the autism community and police. It's personal for her as she has a young son who is autistic. She attended a training session for law enforcement on working with autistic individuals two years ago. "This type of training should be given to police departments as a whole, not just a select few," Yancy said."

No question.

"Only eight states require law enforcement to receive training specifically related to autism, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Yancey is now implementing a new program she created for her department that allows families to voluntarily provide authorities with information about the needs of an autistic individual so first responders know what to do and not do in an emergency. "For example, if it's noise sensitivity, we would know because you would put it in here, that we have to tell officers to arrive with the sirens off, and then this way he's not triggered or upset," Yancy told a parent at a recent event. Yancy said she hopes other police departments follow suit with similar programs. "You need to sit with the people, talk to the people and show you truly care," she said. "The only way they trust you is if they know you and they can't know you from behind the window of a car."'

Another conviction in the Floyd killing.  The Associated Press reports:

"A former Minneapolis police officer who held back bystanders while his colleagues restrained a dying George Floyd has been convicted of aiding and abetting manslaughter."

What took so long?

"Tou Thao, who already had been convicted in federal court of violating Floyd’s civil rights, was the last of four former officers facing judgment in state court in Floyd’s killing. He rejected a plea agreement and, instead of going to trial, let Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill decide the verdict based on written filings by each side and evidence presented in previous cases. “There is proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Thao’s actions were objectively unreasonable from the perspective of a reasonable police officer, when viewed under the totality of the circumstances,” Cahill wrote in a 177-page ruling that was filed Monday night and released Tuesday."

Readers will recall:

"Floyd, a Black man, died May 25, 2020, after officer Derek Chauvin, who is white, pinned him to the ground with his knee on Floyd’s neck for 9 1/2 minutes as he pleaded for air. The killing, captured on bystander video, touched off protests around the world and prompted a national reckoning with police brutality and racism."

Certainly, hasn't ended the brutality and racism.  Nowhere near.

"Chauvin, the senior officer at the scene, was convicted of murder and manslaughter in April 2021 and later pleaded guilty in the federal case. Two other officers — J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane — pleaded guilty to state charges of aiding and abetting manslaughter and were convicted with Thao in their federal case. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, who led the prosecution team, said Thao’s conviction “brings one more measure of accountability in the tragic death of George Floyd” while calling on Congress to enact a sweeping police overhaul named for Floyd. “While we have now reached the end of the prosecution of Floyd’s murder, it is not behind us.” Ellison said. “There is much more that prosecutors, law-enforcement leaders, rank-and-file officers, elected officials, and community can do to bring about true justice in law enforcement and true trust and safety in all communities.”

Empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric.  The carnage continues unabated as recorded in each edition of this publication and elsewhere.

"Defense attorney Robert Paule did not immediately return messages seeking comment. Lawyers for the Floyd family called the verdict “another measure of accountability for his death.” “Nearly three years after George was killed, the family and Minneapolis community continue to heal as the criminal justice system prevails. With each of these measures of justice, it is even more so demonstrated that police brutality is an illegal — and punishable — act,” civil rights attorney Ben Crump and his team said in a statement."

Yet, it continues unabated.

"The judge set sentencing for Aug. 7. Minnesota guidelines recommend four years on the manslaughter count, which Thao would serve concurrently with his 3 1/2-year federal sentence."

Think this justice?

"Unlike the other three former officers, Thao maintained he did nothing wrong. When he rejected a plea deal in state court last August, he said “it would be lying” to plead guilty. Cahill based his decision on exhibits and transcripts from Chauvin’s murder trial, which he presided over, and the federal civil rights trial of Thao, Kueng and Lane. Thao was specifically convicted then of depriving Floyd of his right to medical care and of failing to intervene and stop Chauvin. Cahill wrote that he focused on the evidence that pertained to Thao and not on the other officers or their pleas and guilty verdicts. Thao is Hmong American, Kueng is Black and Lane is white. Thao testified during his federal trial that he was relying on the other officers to care for Floyd’s medical needs while he served as “a human traffic cone” to control a group of about 15 bystanders and traffic outside a Minneapolis convenience store where Floyd had tried to pass a counterfeit $20 bill. Thao said that when he and Chauvin arrived, the other officers were struggling with Floyd. He said it was clear to him, as the other officers tried to put Floyd into a squad car, “that he was under the influence of some type of drugs.”

Get this:

"His body camera video showed he told onlookers at one point, “This is why you don’t do drugs, kids.” When an off-duty, out-of-uniform Minneapolis firefighter asked if officers had checked Floyd’s pulse, he ordered her, “Back off!”

Think this justice?

"Thao acknowledged he heard onlookers becoming more anxious about Floyd’s condition and that he could hear Floyd saying, “I can’t breathe.” But Thao said he didn’t know there was anything seriously wrong with him even as an ambulance took him away."

Clearly, figuratively, his head remains securely lodged up his achingly clueless ass.

"Cahill wrote that he found that key parts of Thao’s testimony, and his justifications for his actions, were “not credible.” The judge wrote that under Minneapolis Police Department policies, “it was objectively unreasonable to (among other things): encourage fellow officers to engage in a dangerous prone restraint for 9 minutes and 24 seconds; encourage those officers not to use a hobble; actively assist their restraint by acting as a ‘human traffic cone’; and prevent bystanders from rendering medical aid.” “Thao’s actions were even more unreasonable in light of the fact that he was under a duty to intervene to stop the other officers’ excessive use of force and was trained to render medical aid,” the judge added. In keeping with an agreement between the prosecution and defense, Cahill dismissed a more serious aiding and abetting second-degree murder count with a presumptive sentence of 12 1/2 years."

Why?

"Vice President Kamala Harris and others have called for reviving the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act this year after it stalled in the Senate amid Republican opposition in 2020 and 2021. The legislation aims to eliminate misconduct, racial discrimination and excessive force in policing nationwide. It would ban the use of chokeholds and end the “qualified immunity” that protects officers from lawsuits, among other things."

Not possible in a de facto fascist police-state, -- democratic republic in name only.  Where the nazi element in the Republican Party protects and coddles the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue no matter what they do or don't do.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No longer.

No justice.  More of the same.  In follow-up to a particularly horrendous case covered repeatedly here and elsewhere, The Associated Press reports:

"A former Memphis police officer who hit Tyre Nichols with a stun gun during a traffic stop that preceded Nichols’ brutal beating by other officers won’t be charged criminally, a prosecutor said on Tuesday. Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy said his office did a thorough investigation of Preston Hemphill’s role in the arrest, reviewing hours of body camera footage and interviewing witnesses multiple times. “By no means do we endorse the conduct of Officer Hemphill at that first traffic stop ... but we do not believe that criminal charges are appropriate,” Mulroy said."

Jesus Christ.  That's called double talk, i.e. bullshit.  Precisely, why this shit never ends.

Readers will recall:

"Hemphill was fired Feb. 3 after an internal Memphis Police Department investigation showed he violated multiple department policies for his role in the Jan. 7 arrest of Nichols, who died in a hospital three days later. Five other officers have pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in Nichols’ death. Nichols was beaten after police stopped him for what they said was a traffic violation and he fled the stop. Video released after pressure from Nichols’ family shows officers holding him down and repeatedly punching, kicking and striking him with a baton as he screamed for his mother."

It is always a mistake to flee the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Always.  They take it as carte blanche to murder on the job.  How they get their cookies off.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"Hemphill was not present for the initial traffic stop nor when other officers forcibly removed Nichols, 29, from his vehicle and put him on the ground, Mulroy said. “He had to make his decisions based on what he knew, or what he thought was happening, and following the lead and in support of the other officers,” Mulroy said. “He acted on limited information in a matter of seconds at the direction and in support of the other officers. He did not pursue Mr. Nichols, was not present at the second incident where the actual beating took place that led to Mr. Nichols death.”

Jesus Christ.  Called excuse making.  Here's why:

"Hemphill’s body camera showed that from the very beginning of the traffic stop he and two other officers approached Nichols with force that was disproportionate for the alleged offense of reckless driving, according to a statement from the disciplinary hearing that took place before he was fired. Along with breaking rules regarding the use of a stun gun, Hemphill was also fired for violations of personal conduct and truthfulness, police have said. Mulroy said Hemphill has cooperated fully with the investigation into Nichols’ death."

That right?  Think so?

"Attorneys for Nichols’ family said in a statement that they are supportive of the decision not to pursue charges because of Hemphill’s cooperation."

That right?  Think so?

Time for Alito to do the right thing.  Resign in disgrace.  NBC News reports:

"Justice Samuel Alito has said he has a "pretty good idea" who was responsible for the leak of his unpublished draft opinion last year, which indicated that the Supreme Court was poised to roll back abortion rights, but does not have the proof needed to name somebody."

Tough shit.  There is no greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the six Republican nazis on the U.S. Supreme Court.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"In an interview this month with James Taranto, the Wall Street Journal's editorial features editor, published Friday, Alito said: “I personally have a pretty good idea who is responsible, but that’s different from the level of proof that is needed to name somebody." “It was a part of an effort to prevent the Dobbs draft ... from becoming the decision of the court. And that’s how it was used for those six weeks by people on the outside — as part of the campaign to try to intimidate the court," he said."

That's a crock of shit, Mr. Alito.  The nazi element on the Court is incapable of being intimidated.  Too Aryan arrogant.  Delusionally, believes it can dictate to a woman what she can and cannot do with HER uterus.

"The unprecedented leak, first published by Politico, ignited a firestorm of protests from supporters of abortion rights alarmed at the prospect that the court was preparing to overturn the constitutional right to abortion enshrined about 50 years age in Roe v. Wade. In the aftermath of the leak, Democratic congressional leaders vowed to push for federal law that would codify abortion rights."

To date, have miserably failed to do so.  No more than empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric.

"Alito, who was nominated by former President George W. Bush, authored the draft as well as the eventual opinion by the court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, that overturned Roe in June of last year."

These six Republicans are not conservatives.  Far from it.  They're nazis.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"In January following a lengthy investigation, the Supreme Court announced that it was unable to conclusively identify who leaked the unpublished draft. In an unsigned statement, the court said that all leads had been followed up and forensic analysis had been performed but that “the team has to date been unable to identify a person responsible by a preponderance of the evidence.” The investigation was largely limited to the court building itself and the people who work there, meaning any actions people took at home or elsewhere using personal devices were mostly not within its scope. Supreme Court Marshal Gail Curley, who conducted the investigation, said that 97 court employees were interviewed and all denied being the leaker. She also said it was unlikely the court’s information technology systems were compromised. Curley did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Alito's remarks to the Wall Street Journal."

Not easy to credibly respond to bullshit.  LOL.

"In the months following the leak of the draft abortion opinion, there were protests at the homes of some justices."

As well there should have been.  These six GOP nazis delusionally believe they own your uterus, ladies.  Can dictate what you can and cannot do with it.  That's not acceptable in what is supposed to be a democratic republic.  Not a de facto fascist police-state.

"Alito said last year that the leak had endangered the lives of justices by putting a target on their backs. He referred to the charges against Nicholas John Roske, of Simi Valley, California, who was armed with a handgun, a knife, pepper spray and burglary tools when he was arrested last June near Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home, between the release of the leaked draft and the court’s eventual ruling."

That's a crock of shit, Mr. Alito.  If anything, sir, you yourself are directly responsible for endangering yourself.  You took a raucous hard dump on liberty, sir, forcing your perverse religious views on the rest of us.  What did you expect?  No reaction to the evisceration of a constitutional right by the Republican nazi element on the Court?  You need to do the right thing, sir.  Resign in disgrace.  You remain egregiously unfit for office.  A disgrace.  Sadly, you and your fellow Republican nazis on the Court present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and consitutional rights and liberties.

Sadly, the following is highly indicative of your growing insanity:

“The leak also made those of us who were thought to be in the majority in support of overruling Roe and Casey targets for assassination, because it gave people a rational reason to think they could prevent that from happening by killing one of us,” Alito said in October."

That's a crock of shit, sir.  You sound increasingly paranoid, Mr. Alito.  Time to wake up.  Haven't you done more than enough damage to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties, sir?

"He reiterated the sentiment in his interview with the Wall Street Journal this month: “It was rational for people to believe that they might be able to stop the decision in Dobbs by killing one of us.”

That's insane, sir.  You remain egregiously unfit for office.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Republican bullshit.  That is, a self-serving redefinition of insurrection.  The Associated Press reports:

"Silenced by her Republican colleagues, Montana state Rep. Zooey Zephyr looked up from the House floor to supporters in the gallery shouting “Let her speak!” and thrust her microphone into the air — amplifying the sentiment the Democratic transgender lawmaker was forbidden from expressing. It was a brief moment of defiance and chaos. While seven people were arrested for trespassing, the boisterous demonstration was free of violence or damage. Yet later that day, a group of Republican lawmakers described it in darker tones, saying Zephyr’s actions were responsible for “encouraging an insurrection.” It’s the third time in the last five weeks — and one of at least four times this year — that Republicans have attempted to compare disruptive but nonviolent protests at state capitols to insurrections."

Demonstrates how desperate Republicans have become to find a way to effectively deal with the Trump nazi.  How remarkably gutless as well.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"The tactic follows a pattern set over the past two years when the term has been misused to describe public demonstrations and even the 2020 election that put Democrat Joe Biden in the White House. It’s a move experts say dismisses legitimate speech and downplays the deadly Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of former President Donald Trump. Shortly after, the U.S. House voted to impeach him for “incitement of insurrection.” Ever since, many Republicans have attempted to turn the phrase on Democrats. “They want to ring alarm bells and they want to compare this to Jan. 6,” said Andy Nelson, the Democratic Party chair in Missoula County, which includes Zephyr’s district. “There’s absolutely no way you can compare what happened on Monday with the Jan. 6 insurrection. Violence occurred that day. No violence occurred in the gallery of the Montana House.”

That's right.  No comparison.  There is a big difference between peaceful protest and violence.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"This week’s events in the Montana Legislature drew comparisons to a similar demonstration in Tennessee. Republican legislative leaders there used “insurrection” to describe a protest on the House floor by three Democratic lawmakers who were calling for gun control legislation in the aftermath of a Nashville school shooting that killed three students and three staff. Two of them chanted “Power to the people” through a megaphone and were expelled before local commissions reinstated them. As in Montana, their supporters were shouting from the gallery above, and the scene brought legislative proceedings to a halt. Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton condemned the Democratic lawmakers. “(What) they did today was equivalent, at least equivalent, maybe worse depending on how you look at it, of doing an insurrection in the Capitol,” Sexton, a Republican, told a conservative radio station on March 30."

That's a crock of shit.  Certainly, indicative of how raw, tense circumstances have become.  Worse?  How delusional and insane Republicans have grown defending the Trump nazi.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"He later clarified to reporters that he was talking just about the lawmakers and not the protesters who were at the Capitol. He has maintained that the Democratic lawmakers were trying to cause a riot. To Democrats, Republicans’ reaction was seen as a way to distract discussion from a critical topic. “They are trying to dismiss the integrity and sincerity of what all these people are calling for,” said Tennessee Democratic Rep. John Ray Clemmons. “They’re dismissing what it is just to avoid the debate on this issue.”

Debate all you want.  Must not be forgotten the Second Amendment is the last best defense against corrupt and abusive government.

"Legal experts say the term insurrection has a specific meaning — a violent uprising that targets government authority. That’s how dictionaries described it in the 18th and 19th centuries, when the term was added to the Constitution and the 14th Amendment, said Laurence Tribe, a constitutional law professor at Harvard University. Protests at the capitols in Montana and Tennessee didn’t involve violence or any real attempts to dismantle or replace a government, so it’s wrong to call them insurrections, Tribe said."

That's right.  No more than hyperbolic bullshit embraced by increasingly desperate Republicans.

"Michael Gerhardt, a law professor at the University of North Carolina, said insurrection is understood as a coordinated attempt to overthrow government. “Disrupting things is a far cry from insurrection,” Gerhardt said. “It’s just a protest, and protesters are not insurrectionists.”

That's right.

"Nevertheless, conservative social media commentators and bloggers have used the word insurrection alongside videos of protesters at state capitols in attempts to equate those demonstrations to the Jan. 6 attack, when thousands of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in an attempt to halt certification of the presidential vote and keep Trump in office. Some of the rioters sought out then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and shouted “Hang Mike Pence” as they roamed the Capitol. Republicans’ use of the term insurrection in these cases isn’t just wrong, it’s also strategic, said Yotam Ophir, a University at Buffalo communications professor who focuses on misinformation. Repeating a loaded term over and over makes it lose its meaning and power, he said. The term also serves two other purposes for Republicans: demonizing Democrats as violent and implying that the accusations against Trump supporters on Jan. 6 were exaggerated, Ophir said."

That's right.  No more than denial of reality.

"In Montana, one widely shared Twitter post falsely claimed transgender “insurgents” had “seized” the Capitol, while the right-wing website Breitbart called the protest Democrats’ “second ‘insurrection’ in as many months.”

When Republicans do this they lose all credibility.

"The Montana Freedom Caucus, which issued the statement that included the insurrection description, also demanded that Zephyr be disciplined. The group includes 21 Montana Republican lawmakers, or a little less than a third of Republicans in the Legislature. It was founded in January with the encouragement of U.S. House Freedom Caucus member Rep. Matt Rosendale, a hardline Montana conservative who backed Trump’s false statements about fraud in the 2020 presidential election. Republican lawmakers eventually voted to bar Zephyr from participating on the House floor, forcing her to vote remotely. Notably, Republicans largely avoided referencing insurrection when discussing the motion, but some did accuse Zephyr of attempting to incite violence and putting her colleagues at risk of harm."

That's simply not true.  Hyperbolic bullshit.

"The Montana and Tennessee examples follow at least two other statehouse protests that prompted cries of “insurrection” from Republicans. Donald Trump Jr. cited “insurrection” in February in a tweet claiming transgender activists had taken over and occupied the Oklahoma Capitol. But according to local news reports, hundreds of supporters of transgender rights who rallied against a gender-affirming care ban before the Republican-controlled Legislature were led in through metal detectors by law enforcement and protested peacefully. In Minnesota, some conservative commentators used the word insurrection earlier this month as demonstrators gathered peacefully outside the Senate chambers while lawmakers in the Democratic-controlled Legislature debated contentious bills ranging from LGBTQ issues to abortion. There was no violence or damage."

Here's the problem:

"The rhetoric lines up with the refusal among many Republicans to acknowledge that the Jan. 6 attack was an assault on American democracy and the peaceful transfer of power. “My colleagues across the aisle have spent so much time trying to silence the minority party that anyone speaking up and amplifying their voice probably strikes them as insurrectionist, even though it doesn’t resemble anything like it,” said Clemmons, the Democratic lawmaker in Tennessee."

Neither party is worth a crap for totally different reasons.

Think we don't have a serious problem in this country with an egregious lack of transparency?  NPR reports:

"The White House organized a belated celebration for Eid al-Fitar earlier this week and invited hundreds of prominent American Muslims. Then, it uninvited one of them: Mohammad Khairullah, the mayor of Prospect Park, N.J. He's the longest serving Muslim mayor in this country, and he was given no explanation as to why. Khairullah told NPR's Leila Fadel on Morning Edition that he contacted the Council on American Islamic Relations shortly after he was disinvited to the event. The council informed him that he was on a "secret list," which was leaked earlier this year. "I was added to the list in 2019, which put things together in my mind because all my traveling difficulties started in 2019," Khairullah said. "So it's at this point, for some reason, I am on a secret list that the government is denying exists and it's caused me and my family trouble." At a White House press briefing this week, when asked about Khairullah being uninvited from the event, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre repeatedly deferred to the U.S. Secret Service."

Gutless.  Crock of shit.  Lack of transparency?  Goddamned un-American.

"For its part, the Secret Service put out a statement from spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi: "While we regret any inconvenience this may have caused, the mayor was not allowed to enter the White House complex this evening. Unfortunately we are not able to comment further on the specific protective means and methods used to conduct our security operations at the White House."

Gutless crock of shit.  The American public is entitled to an explanation.  This is supposedly a democratic republic, -- not a goddamned de facto fascist police-state.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"The White House is also noting its ongoing efforts to counter Islamophobia and other forms of discrimination. On Tuesday administration officials held a listening session with Muslim community leaders, including the government affairs director of CAIR."

Lack of transparency screams otherwise.

"This interview has been lightly edited for length and clarity.

"Leila Fadel: Now, this secret list you're referring to is a watch list, and the 2019 leaked list you're talking about was a hack. And on that list, the majority of those names are Arab Muslim sounding names based on what was on those hacked list. Do you think this is a situation of profiling?

"Mohamed Khairullah: The fact that the list is mostly Arabs and Muslims, the fact that we have no way to address why we are on the list is definitely profiling and a lack of due process. And that's why a federal judge deemed that list to be unlawful. However, our federal government continues to use that list despite the fact that it was deemed unlawful."

Think this isn't a problem?

"Leila Fadel: There will be people listening to you who say these types of lists and this type of secrecy is necessary for the national security of this country, even if it is uncomfortable for you. What do you say to those people?

"Mohamed Khairullah: As an elected official, I've been mayor for 17 years. I've been very close to former presidents, elected officials. This is not a very smart list. It's not an intelligent list. It's a dragnet that's not very effective. It uses racial profiling, ethnic profiling. So if the attempt is to prevent me from meeting people, I've met these people plenty of times when the list was not used. So I think we need a more intelligent way of protecting the nation rather than somebody writing a report about me that I can't know about, or and I'm assuming that's how I got on. And I can't defend myself. I can't defend my name. I think inconvenience has to be justified, not just throw in a dragnet that's going to inconvenience 1.5 million people."

This is clearly un-American.

"On the White House's response: They have been silent. When asked at the press conference, they referred the matter back to the Secret Service. However, this is a list that was created back in 2003 by President George W. Bush. So it is something that the executive branch can do something about. And we hope that the Biden administration can finally disband this list and correct the course of how things are going and this racial profiling.

"On how being on the watch list has affected him: So the first time I started experiencing difficulties was when we were going on a trip to Istanbul, which we didn't think [much] about. But when we returned from Istanbul, at JFK, the agents were there at the door and they still said, "Oh, you are being randomly selected." So we went with them and I had to end the conversation, because the agent flat out asked me, "Did you meet any terrorists?" As if the answer was going to be yes or no, to which I said, "Listen, at this point I'm ending this conversation, I need a lawyer." And obviously because of that, he said, "Do you understand? I'm going to take your phone. We're going to strip search you." So, I'm like, do what you got to do, but this conversation is over."

Raw nazism.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"On what it's like to be selected for a search at US airports: It's humiliating, to say the least. I mean, I could tell you when I was coming back from Canada in 2021, I was detained and in a glass room and my toddler daughter would stand at the door asking me why she can't be with me. And I'm being held there for about two or three hours. There's no explanation. And how do you explain to a child that your government is detaining your dad for reasons that he can't explain, that the government won't explain? It's just baffling. It's in a country where we have institutions and we have a great constitution that protects the liberties of people to be targeted because of my name, ethnicity and religion is just unbelievable. And that's basically what my crimes are. To be 100% randomly selected every single time I go to the airport is just not a coincidence."

Indeed.  It's not.  We're losing our country.  Time to wake up.  Before too late.  There is no greater exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Think the economy isn't worsening?  NBC News reports:

"With car repossessions and home foreclosures rising, some Americans are living on a financial cliff. A growing number of Americans have found themselves strapped for cash and looking for financial relief as the U.S. economy slows down. A 57-year-old single mother living in East Hartford, Connecticut, LeSage needs to drive herself to medical appointments for injuries on her legs and to pick up her teenage daughter, who often suffers from seizures, from school. "I have to go pick her up,” LeSage says. Without the vehicle, she adds, "I wouldn’t be able to do that.” But last year, LeSage was told her car was at risk of repossession after she fell behind on the payments. “For me, every penny counts and just to lose a couple of cents on gas is devastating sometimes,” LeSage says. LeSage is among a growing number of Americans who have found themselves confronting financial hardship as the U.S. economy has slowed. On Thursday, the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis reported gross domestic product fell to 1.1% in the first quarter, the lowest reading in nine months. The GDP is the value of the final goods and services produced in the country and a strong indicator of how healthy the U.S. economy. The slowdown is starting to show up in Americans' personal finances. According to a recent survey from Bankrate, 49% of U.S. adults have less savings compared to a year ago. Ten percent of those surveyed said they have no savings at all."

Think that isn't a problem?  A big problem?

"The upshot: The most disastrous outcomes for U.S. households, like auto repossessions and home foreclosures, have begun to climb. “As a result of the expiration of government stimulus and current [economic] headwinds, we have seen delinquencies ticking up in this space over the last several months,” said Margaret Rowe, a senior director at Fitch ratings group. Fitch data show U.S. auto loan delinquencies among subprime borrowers have just about returned to pre-pandemic levels from the record low set in summer 2021. Meanwhile, home foreclosure filings have begun to surge. According to data from ATTOM, a property analytics company, U.S. foreclosure filings totaled 95,712 in the first quarter of 2023. That's 6% higher than in the previous quarter and 22% higher than a year ago. March alone saw 36,617 U.S. properties in foreclosure, a 20% increase compared to February and 10% higher than a year ago. It was the 23rd consecutive month with a year-over-year increase in foreclosure activity. In an emailed statement, Attom CEO Rob Barber noted some of the increase in foreclosure activity can be explained by lenders working through a backlog that had built up while the pandemic-era federal foreclosure moratorium was in place. That pause ended in July 2021. By that point, he said, an estimated 2 million homeowners had fallen behind on their home loans amid job losses and other hardships brought on by the pandemic. Overall, Barber said, the increase since then hasn’t been nearly as severe as some economists and industry experts expected. Many homeowners benefited from a strong pandemic-era economic rebound — one that included a yearlong home-buying spree during a period of low interest rates, he said. Unemployment also remains at historic lows; the relative job stability has allowed many delinquent homeowners to catch up on mortgage payments."

Think that will last?  Remain sustainable?

"And as home prices have skyrocketed over the past couple of years, homeowner equity has increased — something Barber said has provided an incentive for delinquent homeowners “to find a way to get back up to date on their loans.” He noted ATTOM data shows 94% of homeowners with mortgages had at least some equity built up in their properties in the fourth quarter of last year, with nearly half being “equity-rich,” meaning they owed less than half of what their properties were worth. “More income, more equity and lower payments set the stage for a more modest rise in foreclosures than predicted,” Barber said."

Think that will last?  Remain sustainable?

"But the outlook for the rest of the year remains murky, he said, given the changing housing market, higher mortgage interest rates and inflation. “It’s likely that foreclosure filings will keep rising, but nothing like we saw back when the bubble burst in 2008,” Barber said, referring to the start of the financial crisis of 2008 and 2009. Rick Burrows, 61, from St. Charles, Missouri, was about $23,000 away from paying off his loan when his lender began the foreclosure process on his house late last year. Burrows lives alone and has been in his current house for more than two decades. In 2020, he contracted Covid-19 and spent around seven weeks on oxygen. The experience pushed him into unemployment for several months, which caused his credit score to plummet. In 2021, his car, which he uses to serve legal papers, was repossessed. “It seems like every time I turn around financially, just as I start to be able to get back on solid ground something else happens,” Burrows said. Today, he still suffers from the long-haul effects of Covid which often leave him fatigued while working. Burrows said his income varies between $1,500 to $2,500 per month. With fluctuating prices on everything from groceries to gasoline, he struggles to keep himself afloat while managing the additional medical bills for physical therapy."

Think this sustainable?

"Fitch economists expect a "mild recession" later this year, Rowe said, even as analysts anticipate unemployment to stay relatively low. Still, she said, "the expectation is that deterioration [in credit quality] will continue." In January, Taqwetta Crawley, 43, lost her home in Hampton, Connecticut, to foreclosure. She had fallen into a predatory loan and when the pandemic hit, she was left with no means to pay her mortgage, which soared from $95,000 to $250,000. Crawley now lives with her sister. “I’m literally living off the charity of other people,” she says. “That’s how I’m existing.” She said she hopes people would be more compassionate toward those experiencing foreclosures. “I had so many investors, I had so many wholesalers, I had at least three scammers who came into my house and treated me like absolute trash, like I was in the way of them making money, [who didn’t allow] me to maintain my dignity for what it is that I was about to lose,” she says. In retrospect, she wishes she had known the options that were available to her and now she is refocusing her efforts to educate others who are experiencing similar hardships."

The problem remains the same.  The economy is zero-sum, winner-take-all.

"Help is indeed available for homeowners, said Sarah Bolling Mancini, a senior staff attorney at the nonprofit National Consumer Law Center. Some of those resources include the Homeowners Assistance Fund, a Covid-era support program. Mancini said homeowners should be proactive in talking to their lender or mortgage servicer, most of which have forbearance programs available that can help distressed homeowners buy some time. “It’s important for consumers to reach out proactively,” she said. Unfortunately, there is less support for renters, as pandemic-based assistance programs have mostly been exhausted, according to Mancini. Crawley says her biggest desire now is to become financially stable for her daughter. “I want people to understand that a foreclosure and eviction is not indicative of a person being untrustworthy, or a person that doesn’t deserve any sort of empathy or compassion,” Crawley said. “Things happen, situations occur. And some people just don’t have the support system. They don’t have that village, they don’t have the resources, the job that will allow them to fully handle everything.” Looking back, Burrows, the Missouri resident, said he wishes he had put more money away. “I would have tried to save more money, or try to find a way to put money back where I could at least have a cushion to fall on," he said. "Because right now, I don’t have a cushion. I don’t have a cushion at all.”

A problem throughout the entire country.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
