Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

In follow-up to an horrendous case repeatedly covered here and elsewhere, The Associated Press reports:

"Five fired Memphis police officers were charged Thursday with second-degree murder and other crimes in the arrest and death of Tyre Nichols, a Black motorist who died three days after a confrontation with the officers during a traffic stop. Shelby County Sheriff’s Office online records show that Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Desmond Mills, Jr., Emmitt Martin III and Justin Smith, who are all Black, were in custody. All five are charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, official misconduct and official oppression."

What took so long?

"Court records don’t list attorneys for Smith, Bean or Haley. Martin’s lawyer, William Massey, confirmed that his client had turned himself in. He and Mills’ lawyer, Blake Ballin, said they planned to discuss the charges at a news conference later Thursday. Second-degree murder is punishable by 15 to 60 years in prison under Tennessee law. Nichols’ stepfather, Rodney Wells, told The Associated Press by phone that he and his wife RowVaughn Wells, who is Nichols’ mother, discussed the second-degree murder charges and are “fine with it.” They had pushed for first-degree murder charges. “There’s other charges, so I’m all right with that,” he said. He said he was “ecstatic” that authorities have moved quickly in the case."

Certainly, could have moved even faster.  A step, however, in the right direction.

"The family’s attorneys, Ben Crump and Antonio Romanucci, issued a statement praising the charges. “The news today from Memphis officials that these five officers are being held criminally accountable for their deadly and brutal actions gives us hope as we continue to push for justice for Tyre,” they wrote. “This young man lost his life in a particularly disgusting manner that points to the desperate need for change and reform to ensure this violence stops occurring during low-threat procedures, like in this case, a traffic stop.”

Sadly, a problem throughout the entire country.

"The Rev. Al Sharpton, who founded and runs the National Action Network and will deliver the eulogy at Nichols’ funeral service next week, called the charges “a necessary step in delivering justice” for Nichols. “There is no point to putting a body camera on a cop if you aren’t going to hold them accountable when the footage shows them relentlessly beating a man to death,” Sharpton said. “Firings are not enough. Indictments and arrests are not convictions. As we’ve done in the past...we will stand by this family until justice is done.”

"The Memphis police chief has called the actions of five officers involved in the violent arrest of Nichols “heinous, reckless and inhumane” and urged residents of the predominantly Black city to protest peacefully when video is released."

Indeed.  Stand tall.  Don't emulate the jackbooted behavior of these five bastards.

“This is not just a professional failing. This is a failing of basic humanity toward another individual,” Memphis Police Director Cerelyn “CJ” Davis said in a video statement released late Wednesday on social media. Davis said the five officers found to be “directly responsible for the physical abuse of Mr. Nichols,” were fired last week, but other officers are still being investigated for violating department policy. In addition, she said “a complete and independent review” will be conducted of the department’s specialized units, without providing further details. As state and federal investigations continue, Davis promised the police department’s “full and complete cooperation” to determine what contributed to Nichols’ Jan. 10 death."

... Are you receiving full support from city officials, Director?  Any stonewalling, foot-dragging, obfuscation?

"Crump said the video showed showed Nichols — a 29-year-old FedEx worker and father — was shocked, pepper-sprayed and restrained when he was pulled over for a traffic stop near his home. He was returning home from a suburban park where he had taken photos of the sunset. The legal team said officers beat Nichols for three minutes in a “savage” encounter reminiscent of the infamous 1991 police beating of Los Angeles motorist Rodney King."

Seatbelts on.  The Associated Press reports:

"Authorities released video footage Friday showing Tyre Nichols being beaten by five Memphis police officers who held the Black motorist down and repeatedly struck him with their fists, boots and batons as he screamed for his mother. The video is filled with violent moments showing the officers, who are also Black, chasing and pummeling Nichols and leaving him on the pavement propped against a squad car as they fist-bump and celebrate their actions."

... Question for the Nazi Right in our formerly great country:  This your idea of good law enforcement?  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"The footage emerged one day after the officers were charged with murder in Nichols’ death. The chilling images of another Black man dying at the hands of police renewed tough questions about how fatal encounters with law enforcement continue even after repeated calls for change."

The answer to that question remains remarkably simple:  The Nazi Right supports law enforcement no matter what the jackbooted bastards do or don't do.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"Protesters gathered for mostly peaceful demonstrations in multiple cities, including Memphis, where several dozen demonstrators blocked the Interstate 55 bridge that carries traffic over the Mississippi River toward Arkansas. Semitrucks were backed up for a distance. In Washington, dozens of protesters gathered in Lafayette Park, across the street from the White House and near Black Lives Matter Plaza. Other cities nationwide braced for demonstrations, but media outlets reported only scattered and nonviolent protests. Demonstrators at times blocked traffic while they chanted slogans and marched through the streets of New York City, Los Angeles and Portland, Oregon."

"In a beating caught on police surveillance and body cameras, Memphis police officers shocked, pepper-sprayed, kicked, punched and swung a baton at an unarmed, 29-year-old Black man as he screamed repeatedly for his mother, who sat unaware in her home less than 100 yards away. Tyre Nichols died three days later, on Jan. 10. On Friday evening, police released that footage to the public, days after showing it to Nichols’s family. Five now-fired officers, all of whom are Black, are facing charges including second-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault stemming from the incident which began as a traffic stop for what police said was reckless driving. “To find out that my son was calling my name, and I was only feet away, and didn’t even hear him — you have no clue how I feel right now,” Nichols’s mother, RowVaughn Wells, said Friday. “My son loved me to death, and I loved him to death.”

"One of the videos released Friday is a 30-minute clip taken from a security camera on a pole. It captures, in eerie silence, Memphis police delivering at least two kicks, two baton strikes and five punches to Nichols’s face. Two officers are seen struggling with Nichols, who is lying on the pavement, as they appear to be trying to handcuff him. A third officer aims a kick at Nichols’s head. Officers can be heard yelling, “Give us your hands!” Moments later, a fourth officer arrives and strikes Nichols in the back with a police baton. The officer strikes him a second time, then the same officer who earlier kicked him circles around and punches him in the face. That officer then punches him four more times, as the first two officers restrain Nichols’s arms. Nichols then falls back to the pavement, where officers handcuff him. The video released by the city revealed it took 22 minutes for an ambulance and a stretcher to arrive for Nichols after officers announced he was in custody. Nichols was eventually taken to St. Francis Hospital, about six miles away, or a 15-minute drive, from where he was detained."

As it begins, Nichols is pulled from his car and pushed to the ground by a group of officers. “I didn’t do anything!” Nichols says as officers shout at him using expletives. Nichols appears calm and is sitting on the ground, while officers shout commands at him: “Turn around! Right now! Get on the ground!” “Okay, you guys are really doing a lot right now, stop,” Nichols says as multiple officers pin him to the ground. “I’m just trying to go home!” Officers deploy pepper spray and Tasers, but Nichols escapes and officers give chase."

It is always a mistake to run from law enforcement.  Always.  The jackbooted bastards in blue take it as carte blanche to murder on the job.  Sadly, how the bastards get their cookies off.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"After he is caught and beaten for three minutes, the officers dragged Nichols, who had been lying on the ground, over to a car. At least seven officers at the scene were walking in circles, one clip showed, patting each other on the back and putting hands on their knees, appearing out of breath. One officer limped around the car against which Nichols was resting and fist-bumped another cop."

"Soon, Nichols toppled over to the ground. “Hey, sit up, bro,” the officer wearing the body camera appears to say. The officer approaches Nichols and appears to lift him up. The light captures Nichols’s face, with blood around his mouth. It is unclear if he is conscious. Several police officers remained at the scene of the initial stop, one clip showed, hearing over the radio that Nichols had been found. “I hope they stomp his a--,” one officer says. “What?” another says. “I hope they stomp his a--,” the first officer repeats."

"It took 26 minutes for a stretcher to appear at the spot where Tyre Nichols was slumped over on the ground after a Memphis police officer was first seen appearing to kick him in the face. That was according to one of the four videos authorities released Friday night capturing the brutal assault on 29-year-old Nichols, who was pulled over during a Jan. 7 traffic stop and was dead three days later. The footage showed four vantage points: Three videos were from officer body-worn cameras and one was from a police surveillance camera mounted on a pole. The videos depicted Nichols being punched, struck with a baton, seemingly kicked in the face and sprayed with an irritant. They also captured him crying out for his mother and saying he was trying to go home. And they appeared to show police’s aggressive, chaotic and at times inconsistent demands of Nichols — like demanding he provide his hands while his arm was being held and he was being pulled to his feet. They also appear to show police punch him as he was being held. “These was monsters that did this to my son,” Nichols’ stepfather, Rodney Wells, said on MSNBC Friday night. “My son weighed 150 pounds. Each one of these officers was over 200,” Wells said. “That’s 1,000 pounds beating on my son, using him as a piñata — all this unnecessary force that was really not needed for a kid that wasn’t resisting, or just trying to get home to his parents.”

"A video of the initial traffic stop shows a chaotic scene as officers yank Nichols from the car, shout commands over one another and at times threaten him. Nichols is on the ground when he is sprayed in the face with what appears to be pepper spray or another irritant, and he runs, the videos appear to show. The city’s top police official, Cerelyn “C.J.” Davis, had previously described the conduct captured in the disturbing and graphic video as “heinous, reckless and inhumane.” President Joe Biden Friday night said he was outraged, and called what is seen in the videos horrific. Nichols was hospitalized in critical condition after the encounter and died three days later. Details about what occurred between Nichols and the officers have been sparse; police initially said Nichols ran during the reckless driving stop and that a "confrontation" occurred in an effort to detain him. Davis, however, told MSNBC on Friday that an investigation and review of available camera footage could not "substantiate" the reckless driving claim."

So no probable cause to stop him in the first place?

"Five Memphis police officers were fired and charged with second-degree murder and other counts. Davis said Wednesday that other officers remain under investigation in connection with the alleged policy violations in the traffic stop. On Friday night, after the videos were released, two Shelby County sheriff's deputies who appeared on the scene were relieved of duty pending the outcome of an investigation. Around 6 p.m. local time, the city of Memphis released the four videos, totaling about 67 minutes. In the videos, the license plates of vehicles parked in the area are blurred, but the faces of the people involved in the encounter are not. One video shows an officer arriving at the traffic stop, pointing his gun at the car and shouting, “You’re going to get your a-- blown the f--- out.” The officers yell at him to lie on the ground and put his hands behind his back as he's on his side on the ground, with one arm held by one officer and the other beneath him, and held by a second officer, the video shows. Nichols says “OK, dude, dang!” at one point, and “you guys are really doing a lot right now. ... I'm just trying to go home." He tells officers yelling at him, “I am on the ground!” and it then appears that he is sprayed with a chemical irritant, the video shows. He is able to get up and runs, with an officer firing a Taser at him, the video shows."

Sadly, tragically:

"The three other videos show when police caught up with Nichols in a neighborhood — less than 80 yards, his mother has said, from her home. In one of those videos, Nichols is seen on the ground and appears to be punched by two officers standing over him. Moments later he can be heard yelling “mom.”

Get this:

"While he’s down, one officer appears to kick Nichols in the head and then another beats him with a baton, the video shows. The videos do not appear to show any obvious resistance by Nichols."

Yet, the bastards continued to beat him:

"When Nichols is standing and appears to be held by two officers, a third officer punches him across the face or head repeatedly, the video appears to show, and Nichols' legs give out from under him and he collapses. In one video, after the beating, Nichols is seen handcuffed and on the ground, sitting up and with his back against a car, while officers gather and talk. One complains he was affected by the chemical irritant as well, and another says he hurt his leg. Less than two minutes later, video shows Nichols slump over on his side. The first medic appeared on a surveillance camera at 8:41 p.m., though it’s unclear what assistance he offered. At one point, five minutes go by without anyone physically tending to Nichols. He can be seen in the video rolling around on the street as officers talked nearby. In one video, an officer claimed they tried to stop Nichols but he did not stop, he "swerved like he was going to hit my car," and that Nichols then stopped at a red light with his turn signal on. "So we jump out of the car," the officer says in the video. “S--- went from there.”

Imagine a mother having to deal with the following:

"Nichols’ mother spoke about her heartbreak in an interview aired Friday morning on CNN, saying by the time she got to the hospital and saw Nichols following the arrest, “He was already gone.” “They had beat him to a pulp. He had bruises all over him, his head was swollen like a watermelon, his neck was busting because of the swelling, they broke his neck, my son’s nose looked like an “S,” she said. Crump said Nichols’ last words in the video were three “gut-wrenching screams for his mom.”

The Associated Press reports:

"The nation and the city of Memphis struggled to come to grips Saturday with video showing police pummeling Tyre Nichols — footage that left many unanswered questions about the traffic stop involving the Black motorist and about other law enforcement officers who stood by as he lay motionless on the pavement. The five disgraced Memphis Police Department officers, who are also Black, have been fired and charged with second-degree murder and other crimes in Nichols’ death three days after the arrest. The video released Friday renewed questions about how fatal encounters with law enforcement continue even after repeated calls for change. A Memphis police spokeswoman declined to comment on the role played by other officers who showed up at the scene."

Why haven't they been fired?  Failed to stop the beating.  Didn't do their job.

"Memphis Police Director Cerelyn “CJ” Davis has said that other officers are under investigation, and Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner said two deputies have been relieved of duty without pay while their conduct is investigated."

If they failed to end the violence, just stood there and watched, did shit squat, should have been immediately fired.  Not protected and coddled.

"Rodney Wells, Nichols’ stepfather, said the family would “continue to seek justice and get some more officers arrested.” He said several others failed to render aid, making them “just as culpable as the officers who threw the blows.”

No question.

"Questions swirled around what led to the traffic stop in the first place. One officer can be heard saying that Nichols wouldn’t stop and then swerved as though he intended to hit the officer’s car. The officer said that when Nichols pulled up to a red light, the officers jumped out of the car. “We tried to get him to stop,” the officer sad. “He didn’t stop.” But Davis said the department cannot substantiate the reason for the stop. “We don’t know what happened,” she said, adding, “All we know is the amount of force that was applied in this situation was over the top.”

The Associated Press reports:

"The Memphis police chief on Saturday disbanded the city’s so-called Scorpion unit after some of its officers beat to death Tyre Nichols, reversing an earlier statement that she would keep the unit intact. Police Director Cerelyn “CJ” Davis said she listened to Nichols’ relatives, community leaders and uninvolved officers in making the decision. “It is in the best interest of all to permanently deactivate the Scorpion unit,” she said in a statement. She said the officers currently assigned to the unit “agree unreservedly” with the step. The unit is composed of three teams of about 30 officers who target violent offenders in areas beset by high crime. It had been inactive since Nichols’ Jan. 7 arrest. In an interview Friday with The Associated Press, Davis said she would not shut down a unit if a few officers commit “some egregious act” and because she needs that unit to continue to work. “The whole idea that the Scorpion unit is a bad unit, I just have a problem with that,” Davis said."

The pressure on her had to have been enormous.  It was certainly the right thing to disband this unit.

"The disbanding was announced as the nation and the city struggled to come to grips with video showing police pummeling the Black motorist."

"Two former South Florida police officers turned themselves in Thursday morning to face felony charges over the beating of a homeless man who had been drinking outside a shopping center last month, officials said. Lorenzo Orfila, 27, and Rafael Otano, 22, were booked into jail on Thursday morning in Miami. They were each charged with kidnapping and battery, and Orfila was also charged with official misconduct, Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said during a news conference. She said the officers were dispatched to the shopping center on the afternoon of Dec. 17 regarding a homeless man who was known to frequent the area. They handcuffed the man, put him in a patrol car and drove to a remote location several miles away. “There he was taken out of the marked car and while handcuffed, he was allegedly beaten and thrown to the ground by the officers," Fernandez Rundle said."

Criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.

"The man later told investigators that he was left there, unconscious and unhandcuffed. He began walking and was spotted by an off-duty Hialeah police officer who was walking his dog, Fernandez Rundle said. That officer called 911."

Clearly, not all officers are jackbooted bastards.

"She said that through surveillance video taken from the shopping center investigators were not able to identify “any violations that would have prompted or justified taking him into custody."

Get this.  It's appalling:

"Some 12 days into the investigation, detectives learned that a civilian had approached the victim and offered him $1,200 to recant his original statement. The victim later told detectives that he took the money “because he’s homeless and he’s unemployed" and said that his original statement was correct, Fernandez Rundle said. The civilian was charged with witness tampering."

What is the identity of the civilian?  Is he related in any way to the two officers?  Did the two officers put him up to the witness tampering?  Finance the bribe?

"Hialeah police Chief George Funete said the behavior “will not be tolerated," adding that both officers were removed from their patrol duties after the incident was reported, and then fired once the investigation was completed."

In follow-up to another horrendous case covered here and elsewhere involving a six-year-old kid who shot his teacher, WHRO Public Media reports:

"The Newport News School Board has voted 5-1 to fire Superintendent George Parker III. Earlier Wednesday, an attorney for the elementary school teacher who was injured in the shooting said administrators had been warned the boy was armed in advance and announced plans to sue the district on behalf of the teacher. Teachers in the district have complained of failure by school administration to address violence and discipline in the schools, including dozens of comments at a school board meeting last week."

Uncommon Valor.  Readers will recall the teacher who was shot, despite the severity of her injuries, heroically led her students to safety.

"The Newport News teacher who was shot by a student earlier this month plans to sue the school district. Diane Toscano, an attorney for 25-year-old Abby Zwerner, said school administrators were warned three different times on Jan. 6 that a 6-year-old student had a gun. Toscano said the administrators repeatedly shrugged off the warnings and failed to address the safety threat. “This tragedy was entirely preventable if the school administrators responsible for school safety had done their part and taken action when they had knowledge of imminent danger,” Toscano told the press Wednesday. Toscano laid out new details over several minutes but refused to take questions from the press assembled at a press conference."

Get this:

"According to Toscano, Zwerner herself advised an administrator between 11:15 and 11:30 that morning that the 6-year-old threatened to beat up another child. Toscano said administrators did not call security or remove the student from the classroom. Then, a different teacher told the same administrator around 12:30 that she had searched the 6-year-old student’s backpack and not found the weapon, so she believed he had put the gun in his pocket and taken it to recess. “The administrator downplayed the report from the teacher and the possibility of a gun, saying, and I quote, ‘Well, he has little pockets,’” Toscano said. A third teacher went to administrators shortly after 1 p.m. about another student who had come to them crying, saying the same 6-year-old had shown him the gun and threatened to shoot him if he told anyone. Again, Toscano said the administrator did nothing. “When a fourth employee who heard about the danger asked the administrator for permission to search the boy, he was denied. He was told to wait the situation out because the school day was almost over,” Toscano said. Later that afternoon, the child pointed the gun at Zwerner while she was teaching her first-grade class. He fired once, hitting her in the hand and upper chest."

Uncommon Valor:

"She was able to usher her other students out of the classroom before seeking medical attention. Nobody else was injured. Police said when they arrived, another school employee was restraining the child on the ground in the classroom. The gun was on the floor. Zwerner was hospitalized for more than a week, but is now recovering from her injuries at home. Toscano said Swerner is in between surgeries and physical therapy. Newport News Public Schools spokeswoman Michelle Price said she could not comment on the allegations made by Toscano because the school district hasn't completed its own investigation. Richneck principal Briana Foster Newton was removed from her post following the shooting, but remains employed by the district. District officials put another former principal in charge of the school. The Newport News School Board will hold a special meeting Wednesday to discuss Superintendent George Parker’s employment and potentially appoint an interim successor."

As noted at the beginning of this report, "The Newport News School Board has voted 5-1 to fire Superintendent George Parker III."

Many unanswered questions remain.

"It’s still unclear what fate the child in this case will face. Police initially confirmed that he had been put on a temporary detention order and was being evaluated by child psychologists at a medical facility. But since that initial update on Jan. 9, they’ve refused to confirm anything about the 6-year-old’s whereabouts, treatment or condition. Experts have told WHRO that it seems highly unlikely a child this young could be charged with a crime in a case like this. Instead of prosecution, the child could receive ongoing mental or behavioral health services, his home situation could be evaluated and a long list of other measures may be taken, experts said. Police have said how the child got the gun in the first place is a critical question for them to answer. The gun belonged to the child’s mother and was purchased legally. But it’s a crime in Virginia to leave a gun unsecured around children. Last week, the family of the child who shot Zwerner released a statement that said he suffers from “an acute disability” and that the gun had been secured. The statement didn’t explain how a 6-year-old got the gun. Police have not announced any charges against the child, his mother or anyone else in the case. The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
