Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable. Time to step up.  Now.

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Three hundred fifty one weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Hey, Sheriff?  Reportedly, promote Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 to Sergeant?  If true, yet another classic example of survival of the unfittest in the law enforcement community.  Readers are reminded this is the very same idiot, clueless asshole responsible for thousands of dollars of damage to the Pace Arrow as reported in each edition of this publication.  Far more to Kingsland property owner James Berardi in a property dispute.  -- A dispute engineered by Johnny Greene, apparently financed by a bribe to the former County Attorney, current District Attorney, and Sheriff.  A federal investigation of Llano County government and the aforementioned allegedly corrupt and abusive bastards in this ongoing fiasco is desperately needed.  Tim Chorney.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Three hundred fifty one weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Three hundred fifty one weeks.  Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

Uncommon Valor.  Seatbelts on.  NBC News reports:

"The Virginia elementary teacher who police say was intentionally shot by a 6-year-old student is being hailed as a hero who saved lives by escorting her students out of the classroom while wounded. Abigail Zwerner was struck Friday while teaching her class, Newport News Police Chief Steve Drew said Monday at a news conference. "The 6-year-old child displayed a firearm, pointed it at her and fired one round," Drew said. "There was no physical struggle or fight. She was providing instruction to her class." The bullet went through the teacher's hand and into her upper chest, "but she was still able to get all of her students out of that classroom," he said. "She made ... sure that every one of those students was safe."

Indeed.  Uncommon Valor.

"While Drew said he did not know what was going through the boy's mind prior to the shooting, he said the student purposely shot the 25-year-old teacher. "I believe she did save lives because I don't know what else might have happened if those kids would have stayed in that room." There were between 16 and 20 students in the classroom when the gun was fired, Drew said. Zwerner's condition was described as stable Monday. No students were injured in the shooting in the first-grade classroom at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News, and a 6-year-old was taken into custody Friday. The chief said investigators recovered one spent shell casing, a backpack, a cellphone and 9 MM Taurus firearm. “The altercation was between a 6-year-old, the student, who did have the firearm, and the teacher, and then a round was fired,” Drew had said. After shots were fired, a school employee came into the classroom and restrained the child until police arrived, Drew said. On Monday, the chief called the investigation into the shooting "unprecedented." He said the gun was taken from the child's home. The boy's mother had legally purchased the gun, Drew said. After the shooting, Drew said, police consulted with various agencies including the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, and services for children's welfare. The boy was transported to a hospital and evaluated, Drew said. A court-ordered temporary detention order was placed on the child who is "currently receiving treatment at a medical facility," Drew said. The investigation remains ongoing, he said. Whether the boy's parents will be charged in the shooting will be determined in consultation with the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, Drew said."

Clearly, the weapon was not securely stored.  Couldn't have been.

"James Madison University identified the wounded teacher as Abby Zwerner, one of its graduates. JMU President Jonathan R. Alger said in a statement that the campus, nearly 200 miles northwest of Newport News, was “deeply saddened by the reported tragic shooting of JMU alumna Abby Zwerner.” Police said in a statement that Drew met with her and her family Saturday morning. Both the police department and Riverside Regional Medical Center, where the teacher was recovering, said Saturday that she had been stabilized. “She has improved,” police said in the statement. “Because of the ongoing nature of the investigation, we will not be releasing any further information at this time.” The 6-year-old student was not identified because of his age."

No longer.

Think the following isn't raw, blatant racism?  NBC News reports:

"The Wall Street Journal is urging Phoenix police to investigate after one of its Black reporters was handcuffed and detained while working on an assignment on the city’s north side. Phoenix police officials told NBC News on Thursday that the department has agreed to a probe after Editor-in-Chief Matt Murray wrote a letter dated Dec. 7 to Phoenix Police Chief Michael Sullivan “expressing concerns” regarding the incident. On Nov. 23, Dion Rabouin, who covers finance for the Wall Street Journal, was detained in a police car while conducting interviews outside a Chase Bank. An officer accused the reporter of trespassing and took him into custody. “We’re deeply concerned that Wall Street Journal reporter Dion Rabouin was detained, handcuffed and placed in the back of a police vehicle while reporting,” a Journal spokesperson said in a statement. “No journalist should ever be detained simply for exercising their First Amendment rights.”

Goddamned right.  Sue the living shit out of the bastards.

"Rabouin was interviewing passersby for a story about savings accounts when a pair of employees walked up to him, asked what he was doing and went back inside, he told ABC affiliate KNXV. He said the employees did not ask him to leave. Soon, Police Officer Caleb Zimmerman approached and told Rabouin he was trespassing, he said. “I saw a police car pull up. And the officer came out, walked into the branch, after about five minutes came out and talked to me,” Rabouin recalled to KNXV, adding that he told the officer he did not know that the sidewalk was private property. “He asked me what I was doing. I identified myself. I said, ‘I’m Dion Rabouin. I’m a reporter for The Wall Street Journal. I’m working on a story. I told the people in the branch what was going on.’ And he said, ‘Well you can’t do that.’”

First Amendment guaranties otherwise.

"Rabouin told KNXV that Zimmerman wouldn’t look at his credentials and he told the officer he would leave, but Zimmerman blocked him when he tried to walk away. “After we talked a little more, he said, ‘I’m done with this,’” Rabouin recalled. “And he started grabbing me. Grabbing at my arms. And I was kind of flustered and drew back. And he was like, ‘This could get bad for you if you don’t comply and don’t do what I say.’ So he grabs my arms and really wrenches them behind my back and proceeds to put me in handcuffs.”

Goddamned jackbooted racist bastard.

"Katelyn Parady, a bystander, said she saw the situation unfolding and began recording on her cellphone. Footage showed Rabouin speaking to the officer while detained in the patrol car with his hands behind his back. A Phoenix Police Department spokesperson told NBC News that bank personnel called the police after customers complained Rabouin was approaching them and asking personal questions. Zimmerman wrote in a police report that Rabouin had refused to leave the property or show him identification."

Couldn't be the jackbooted bastard was lying, could it?  Get this:

"Rabouin was ultimately let go."

Sue the living shit out of all involved.  Think the following good enough?

"A spokesperson for Chase Bank said that officials have apologized to Rabouin directly, but would not comment on the employees’ actions."

Think anything will change?

Think the jackbooted violence will end any time soon?  ABC News reports:

"A Denver police officer was indicted on two felony counts in connection with an on-duty shooting that left multiple bystanders injured over the summer, the city district attorney's office told ABC News. A grand jury charged the officer, Brandon Ramos, with two counts of second-degree assault, both felonies, and 12 misdemeanor counts: six counts of third-degree assault; one count of prohibited use of a weapon, and five counts of reckless endangerment, according to the indictment."

How this bastard gets his cookies off?

"According to Denver District Attorney Beth McCann, the grand jury heard testimony from 17 witnesses and reviewed 140 exhibits of evidence. "I want to thank the members of the grand jury who have spent many days over the last several months listening to testimony and examining exhibits," McCann said in a press release on Wednesday. "This is a very serious matter and I appreciate the time and attention each of them devoted to this important decision. The case will now move forward in the courts."

Why did it take all these months to indict this son of a bitch?

"Ramos and two other officers were in the lower downtown area of Denver around 1:30 a.m. on July 17 when they attempted to arrest Jordan Waddy, who allegedly tried to flee after an altercation outside of a bar, according to the indictment. The two other officers caught up to the suspect and were directly in front of Waddy when he allegedly reached for his gun inside his hoodie, resulting in them firing their guns six times in the suspect's direction. From their view, the bar and a brick wall were behind Waddy, the indictment reads. The grand jury determined that the two other officers were legally justified in their actions, McCann said. According to the indictment, Ramos fired at Waddy when there was a small crowd of people near the suspect, allegedly injuring at least five people. The district attorney's office told ABC News that other bystanders were injured during the incident, but only five were connected to Ramos' alleged actions."

How about that?

Sadly, the excuse making never ends:

"The Denver Police Protective Association told ABC News in a statement it would continue supporting Ramos and said the situation could have been avoided if Waddy had cooperated with officers. "To charge this officer with a felony crime, jeopardizing his career and liberty for acting as he was trained and in the public interest, with no malice, ill intent or lack of concern is unfortunate and sad," the DPPA said."

Think that's true simply because they claim it so?  Think the following isn't nothing more than excuse making for the inexcusable?

"In a statement to Denver ABC affiliate KMGH, Mayor Michael Hancock called the jury's decision surprising. "Police officers make split second decisions under difficult circumstances on a daily basis, and those decisions are rooted in keeping people safe," Hancock said. "While the situation remains an unfortunate one, and it's regrettable that innocent bystanders were injured, I'm surprised to see that the grand jury found the officer's actions involved criminal intent."

Time to wake up, Mr. Mayor.  Innocent civilians were injured due to the recklessness of jackbooted law enforcement.

"Waddy was charged with three felony counts of possession of a firearm as a previous offender and one misdemeanor count of third-degree assault. Public defenders representing Waddy did not immediately reply to a request for comment. Attorneys for Waddy said at a court hearing in August that the evidence they reviewed doesn't support the claim that Waddy threatened officers with a gun, according to the Denver Gazette. In a statement to ABC News, Denver-based civil rights law firm Rathod Mohamedbhai, representing three shooting victims, said it was pleased over the decision to indict. "Yekalo Weldewihet, Bailey Alexander, and Willis Small IV, three victims of the LoDo shooting, are relieved that a Grand Jury indicted Denver Police Department Officer Brandon Ramos for his reckless actions endangering not only our clients but the Denver community," the firm said in a press release. "We think the grand jury decision is certainly indicative of the accountability that our community deserves and should have," Ciara Anderson, an attorney at Rathod Mohamedbhai, told ABC News."

The jackbooted bullshit never ends.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"A Wisconsin Department of Justice agent who wounded an unarmed Black man during a Madison traffic stop last year must stand trial over whether the shooting was justified. Dane County Circuit Judge Chris Taylor ordered Division of Criminal Investigation Special Agent Mark Wagner to stand trial on one count of second-degree reckless endangerment following a preliminary hearing Thursday, the Wisconsin State Journal reported. Prosecutors allege Wagner, who is white, opened fire on Quadren Wilson during the traffic stop on Madison's far east side in February 2022. Wilson’s family has said they believe race was a factor in the shooting."

Why did it take nearly a year to indict this son of a bitch?  Why was he protected and coddled?

"According to the criminal complaint, Wagner was part of a law enforcement task force working to arrest Wilson for dealing fentanyl that led to an overdose death. The team intercepted Wilson and pinned his car between two Justice Department trucks. Wagner approached Wilson's car carrying a ballistic shield. Another agent, Nathan Peskie, was beside him with a rifle. Wagner told Dane County Sheriff's detectives that he saw Wilson reach under the driver's seat with his left hand and fidget with something with his right hand. Wagner said he heard a gunshot and fired two shots from his pistol. Peskie fired five shots. Wilson was struck by bullet fragments that required surgery to remove, according to testimony at the preliminary hearing. Peskie hasn't been charged with anything. Wilson, it turned out, was unarmed."

How about that?  'Shoot first, ask questions later.'

"Wagner's attorney, Mark Steinle, argued during the hearing Thursday that Wagner's use of force was justified because he believed a gunshot had been fired from inside the vehicle. Even though Wagner didn't see a gun, his decision to fire was reasonable based on Wilson's movements, Steinle said. Ozanne countered that police can use deadly force only as a last resort. Taylor, the judge, said she was bound by state law to bind Wagner over for trial because prosecutors made a plausible showing that a crime occurred."

The bullshit never ends.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"It was a tragically high price to pay for catching a suspected car thief: two innocent teenagers dead and a police officer jailed, facing serious charges for a car crash that resulted from the pursuit."

Never, ever, NEVER run from law enforcement.  The jackbooted bastards take it as carte blanche to murder on the job.  -- How they get their cookies off.  ... Usually, with impunity.  This time?  The victims two innocent teenagers who had nothing to do with the chase.

"Maggie Dunn, 17, and Caroline Gill, 16, who were cheerleaders for their high school in the southern Louisiana town of Brusly, died in the collision Saturday. They're the latest fatalities among hundreds every year attributed to accidents involving police pursuits. Many police departments have tightened their policies on such pursuits in recent years. However, National Highway Transportation Safety data show that 455 deaths were tied to police pursuits in 2020. The Louisiana case is unusual in that the local prosecutor says the officer, 42-year-old David Cauthron, acted so recklessly that he should face charges and is preparing to ask a grand jury to consider bringing them."

Get this:

"Authorities say Cauthron, an officer in the town of Addis, joined a chase in rural West Baton Rouge Parish that started when police in Baton Rouge pursued a man suspected of stealing his father's car. Cauthron, authorities said, drove his police car through an intersection in Brusly, which is next to Addis, ignoring a red light and colliding with a car that held the two girls and Dunn's 20-year-old brother, Liam, who was critically injured. In my experience, I have not seen a police officer charged criminally in a police pursuit case,” said Chicago civil rights attorney Andrew Stroth, who has handled numerous lawsuits in such cases but has no ties to the Louisiana collision. Cauthron remained jailed Thursday, according to online records. Neither the jail nor the parish court clerk's office listed an attorney for him."

More of the same.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Friday that it is investigating after a deputy drew a gun and threatened to shoot the driver of a parked car on New Year's Eve. The driver was handcuffed and placed in a patrol car but not arrested. He was eventually cited for a missing license plate and released. Deputies stopped the man at 5:45 p.m. in an unincorporated area of South Los Angeles, the Sheriff's Department said in a statement. Video released by the department from the deputy's body camera shows the driver sitting in the car with the door open and another deputy next to him. The deputy with the body camera walks over. When the driver fails to get out of the car, that deputy pulls a pepper spray canister and threatens to spray the driver. A few moments later, when the driver reaches for the open door, apparently to shut it, the deputy pulls his gun, points it at him and says: “You take off in this car, I'm gonna shoot you. I'm gonna make it super easy on you: You put this car in drive, you're getting one right to the chest." “If you don't listen, you're done," the deputy adds. The driver raises his hands and says at one point: “So you're gonna shoot me? I'm sitting in the damn car, bro.” “Move your hands from right there, and you're done," the deputy says. Hands still up, the driver finally gets out and is handcuffed."

Get this:

“While the department does not make statements related to ongoing investigations, Sheriff (Robert) Luna has made it clear that he expects department personnel to treat all members of the public with dignity and respect, and that personnel who do not uphold our training standards will be held accountable,” the department statement said. The Sheriff's Department didn't immediately say why the car was stopped and declined to identify the driver because of the ongoing investigation. However, local rapper Feezy Lebron said he was the driver. In an Instagram post (edited for spelling), Lebron identified the two deputies and urged followers: “Let’s get this guy's face out there before he gets a chance to MURDER a young Black male sitting in his PARKED car ..Unarmed." “Remember they just want a reason to KILL you," the post said. A message seeking additional comment from Lebron wasn't immediately returned Friday."

More of the same.  Never ends.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"A U.S. Army lieutenant who was pepper sprayed, struck and handcuffed by police in rural Virginia, but never arrested, will argue to a jury that he was assaulted and falsely imprisoned and that his vehicle was illegally searched. Video of the 2020 traffic stop got millions of views the next year after Caron Nazario filed the federal lawsuit that is now being heard, highlighting fears of mistreatment among Black drivers and intensifying the scrutiny of the boundaries of reasonable, and legal, police conduct. The episode also served as a grim signal to many Black Americans that military uniforms don't necessarily protect against abuse of authority by law enforcement. The trial is scheduled to begin Monday in federal court in Richmond."

What took so long?

"Video shows Windsor police officers Daniel Crocker and Joe Gutierrez pointing handguns at a uniformed Nazario behind the wheel of his Chevy Tahoe at a gas station. The officers repeatedly commanded Nazario to exit his SUV, with Gutierrez warning at one point that Nazario was “fixing to ride the lightning” when he didn't get out. Nazario held his hands in the air outside the driver’s side window and continually asked why he was being stopped. Nazario also said: “I’m honestly afraid to get out.” “You should be,” Gutierrez responded. Nazario stayed in the vehicle. Gutierrez went on to pepper spray him through the open window. Once Nazario exited the SUV, the officers commanded him to get on the ground, with Gutierrez using his knees to strike Nazario's legs, the lawsuit states. Since the traffic stop, Nazario has developed anxiety, depression and PTSD, according to his lawsuit. He has been unable to leave home at times due to “hypervigilance regarding the potential for harassment by law enforcement,” court filings state."

Sad, isn't it?  No end to the bullshit all across this country.

"A psychologist found that Nazario, who is Black and Latino, suffers from race-based trauma associated with violent police encounters, which can exacerbate injuries “in ways that do not commonly affect the white populations.” “The officers involved not only assaulted Mr. Nazario, but pointed their weapons directly at him and, at some point during the encounter, threatened to kill him,” the suit alleges. “Mr. Nazario recalls that he thought he was going to die that evening.” Nazario is suing Crocker and Gutierrez. Crocker is still on the force, but Gutierrez was fired in April 2021, the same month Nazario filed his lawsuit."

Get this:

"The men deny ever threatening to kill Nazario. They contend that Nazario misconstrued Gutierrez’s statement that Nazario was “fixing to ride the lightning.” Gutierrez spoke those words while holstering his gun and drawing his Taser and was referencing his stun gun, not an execution, according to court filings."

Think so?

"Crocker and Gutierrez argue that they performed their duties within the law after Nazario failed to immediately pull over and refused to exit his vehicle. Plus, a federal judge already found they had probable cause to stop Nazario for an improperly displayed license plate, and to charge him with eluding police, as well as obstruction of justice and failure to obey."

... Could the 'judge' be in bed with the jackbooted bastards in blue?

“To the extent Mr. Nazario claims mental anguish or other psychological injuries, Mr. Nazario is still in the Virginia National Guard — there is no evidence he has been medically retired or otherwise discharged in connection with this incident,” according to a trial brief filed by Gutierrez in late November. “In fact, shortly after the traffic stop, Mr. Nazario deployed to Washington, D.C. in support of the January 6, 2021 disturbance.” Nazario, a medical officer, said he arrived after the insurrection occurred, according to a deposition. Besides Nazario's lawsuit, fallout from the traffic stop includes a lawsuit brought by the state attorney general that alleges Windsor discriminated against Black Americans. The small town is about 70 miles (110 kilometers) southeast of Richmond. In August, a special prosecutor determined that Gutierrez should not be criminally charged but should be investigated for potential civil rights violations. “Although I find the video very disturbing and frankly unsettling, Gutierrez’s use of force to remove Nazario did not violate state law as he had given multiple commands for Nazario to exit the vehicle,” special prosecutor Anton Bell said in his report."

... Could the 'prosecutor' be in bed with the jackbooted bastards in blue?

"U.S. District Judge Roderick C. Young also narrowed the scope of Nazario’s lawsuit. In August, Young ruled that federal immunity laws shield Crocker and Gutierrez from Nazario’s claims that they violated his constitutional protections against excessive force and unreasonable seizure, as well as Nazario’s right to free speech by threatening him with arrest if he complained about their behavior."

More bullshit designed to protect the jackbooted bastards in blue.  Never ends.

"Nazario can present claims under state law of false imprisonment and assault and battery to a jury, the judge ruled. The judge also found Crocker liable for illegally searching for a gun in Nazario’s SUV, leaving the question of damages on that point to a jury. Nazario had a concealed-carry permit for the weapon. The jury will also consider whether Gutierrez is liable for the illegal search. The former officer denies he knew Crocker was conducting the search. Nazario’s attorneys are expected to present evidence regarding Gutierrez’s professional history, including an unrelated suspension without pay for excessive force. That episode happened during a 2019 traffic stop while Gutierrez served as a sheriff's deputy in Isle of Wight County. Gutierrez drew his weapon on the driver during the two times the man exited his vehicle and held him at gunpoint for nearly four minutes until another officer arrived, according to court filings. While trying to handcuff the man, Gutierrez grabbed him by his neck and “forced his face into the pavement while attempting to place him on his stomach," the findings stated. The man suffered a facial injury that required medical attention."

Never ends.  In follow-up to a particularly egregious case covered earlier here and elsewhere, ABC News reports:

"The five New Haven, Connecticut, police officers charged in the case of Richard "Randy" Cox, a Black man who was paralyzed while being transported in custody, pleaded not guilty on Wednesday during an arraignment hearing. The officers -- Sgt. Betsy Segui and officers Oscar Diaz, Ronald Pressley, Jocelyn Lavandier and Luis Rivera -- were each charged in November 2022 with one count of second-degree reckless endangerment and one count of cruelty to persons. Both charges are misdemeanors and the officers were each released on a $25,000 bond. Cox, who is now paralyzed from the neck down, did not appear in court for the arraignment because to do so was "logistically too difficult," his attorney Jack O'Donnell said. "Randy is very disappointed that these officers were only charged with misdemeanors," O'Donnell told ABC News in a phone interview on Tuesday."

Protected and coddled.  Nazi justice.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"ABC News reached out to the attorneys representing Diaz, Pressley, Lavandier and Rivera for further comment. Gregory Cerittelli, the attorney for the fifth officer Sgt. Betsy Segui, confirmed to ABC News on Tuesday that Segui will plead not guilty. "The job of a police officer has become increasingly more difficult in recent years," Cerittelli told ABC News. "Police officers are often required to utilize their best judgment in assessing situations, and are now being judged with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight. Our Supreme Court has consistently held this is not the appropriate standard."

What a crock of shit.  Goddamned distortion of reality to protect and coddle jackbooted nazi bastards in blue who couldn't care less.  Nazi justice.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Consider the following very, very carefully.  Readers will recall:

"The charges filed by New Haven's state attorney John P. Doyle, Jr. against the officers stemmed from a June 19, 2022 incident when the officers arrested Cox for criminal possession of a firearm and breach of peace. Surveillance video shows the officers then placed Cox in the back of a police van without seatbelts. During an abrupt stop, Cox was thrown headfirst into the back wall of the van. Though Cox repeatedly asked for help, saying he couldn't move, the officers did not immediately render him medical aid and allegedly assumed he was drunk when they arrived at the police station. The video footage also shows the officers dragging Cox by his feet and throwing him into a wheelchair, which his lawyers said could have exacerbated his already life-threatening injuries."

Stunning performance by these five jackbooted bastards in blue.

"[Randy] is essentially quadriplegic. He's in a rehab facility. He can't feed himself, he can't clean himself, he can't relieve himself without assistance," O'Donnell said on Tuesday. "Randy is going to be left with permanent injuries. The least that can happen to these officers is that they have permanent records," he added. Cox filed a $100 million federal lawsuit against the city of New Haven and New Haven Police Department officers in September 2022. In October 2022, all charges against Cox were dropped, according to the New Haven Superior Court clerk's office."

Surprised?

"The five officers were placed on paid administrative leave pending an internal investigation, a spokesman for the New Haven Police Department told ABC News on Tuesday. "The State's Attorney's Office is handling the criminal aspect of the investigation and the New Haven Police Department Office of Internal Affairs is conducting an internal investigation," the spokesman said. The U.S. Department of Justice announced in July 2022 that it is closely monitoring the investigation. "All suspects taken into police custody must be afforded timely and appropriate medical care in the event of an emergency," said U.S. Attorney Vanessa Roberts Avery in a statement. "If federal action is warranted, the Justice Department will pursue every available avenue to the full extent of the law."

Think law enforcement might be out of control?  Seatbelts on.  NBC News reports:

"A Tennessee police department was in turmoil Tuesday following allegations that at least five of its male officers had sex with a female officer both on and off the job. So far, five officers have been fired and three more have been suspended without pay as officials in the Nashville suburb of La Vergne investigate the allegations against the 60-person police department, Mayor Jason Cole said. “This situation is unacceptable and as soon as it was brought to our attention it was immediately investigated and action was taken upon the individuals involved,” Cole said in a statement. “Our top priority moving forward will include rebuilding the public’s trust.”

Think that can happen any time soon?

"The accounts of La Vergne police officers were in an internal report about the department’s investigation obtained by NBC affiliate WSMV of Nashville. The officers spoke about sharing cellphone photos of their genitals, having sex in the police station on duty and taking part in “Girls Gone Wild”-type parties. “The actions of a few do not represent the department as a whole,” Police Chief Burrel “Chip” Davis said."

That right?

"Davis said that despite the firings and suspensions, “we have sufficient staff to cover all of our patrol shifts.” He said counselors have been brought in to “help our officers work through these circumstances.” Maegan Hall, the female officer at the center of the scandal, has been fired, city officials said. Also sacked were Sgt. Lewis Powell, Sgt. Henry Ty McGowan, Detective Seneca Shields and Officer Juan Lugo-Perez. Officers Larry Holloday, Patrick Magliocco and Gavin Schoeberl have been suspended, they said."

Vacation time?

"NBC News tried to contact all the officers who were dismissed or suspended but got no response. In addition to violating departmental rules against having sex while on duty, they are accused of impeding the investigation by lying about their actions and engaging in “conduct unbecoming of an officer,” according to the investigative report."

Surprised?

"None have been charged with crimes, city spokeswoman Anne Smith said. The Rutherford County district attorney’s office told WTVF-TV of Nashville that it was monitoring the situation. Earlier, Police Sgt. Eric Staats, who is president of the department’s Fraternal Order of Police chapter, told news media that none of the officers would be making a statement. Staats owns the houseboat on which a wild “hot tub” party was held last Memorial Day, where officers were drinking heavily and where, at one point, Hall lost her top and had vodka poured down her throat, according to the investigative report. Staats is not accused of any wrongdoing. City officials launched an investigation Dec. 12 after a police sergeant informed Cole that Hall “was having intimate relationships” with fellow officers, according to a report obtained by WSMV that lays out what is alleged to have happened in graphic detail. Under questioning, Powell, Magliocco, Holloday, Shields and Lugo-Perez all admitted to having had sex with Hall, the report states. Hall also admitted having had sex with those officers and with McGowan, as well, the report says. She said she also shared nude images with Holloday, Magliocco, McGowan and Schoeberl. Shields told city investigators that Hall performed oral sex on him in the police gym after initially having claimed, “I have never had sex with Maegan Hall,” the report says. Powell also initially denied having had any sexual relationship with Hall, the report says. He later admitted in the report that he, too, engaged in oral sex with Hall on duty in a police substation. Powell also admitted that as the investigation progressed, he and Hall compared notes in a failed bid to keep their tryst a secret from investigators."

Did they delusionally believe none of this would see the light of day?

“Powell confirmed that he and Hall met at Planet Fitness,” the report says. “Powell confirmed they discussed the investigation and Powell told Hall he denied all the allegations during his interview with HR.” Magliocco told investigators that in addition to having sex with Hall, she also proposed “doing things” with him and his wife. Holloday also reported that Hall floated the idea of having a threesome with him and his “ex.” Holloday and Magliocco expressed concern in the interviews about Hall’s heavy drinking and mental health, according to the report. “Magliocco reported knowing that Hall unloaded her weapon and dry fired the gun at her head ‘so she could hear what it sounded like,’” the report says. But Magliocco “admitted not reporting that to anybody” until Dec. 8, when, he said, he called Staats to relay “these concerns to leadership,” the report says. McGowan revealed, in what the report described as contentious interviews with police brass, that he once went to Hall’s house with another female and exposed his genitals. He was also accused of trying to intimidate a city human resources assistant by grabbing her by the neck. “McGowan claims it was playful however it was unwanted and an aggressive form of physical contact that is not permitted at work,” the report says."

The following is beyond pathetic.  It's pitiful.  Seatbelts on.  NBC News reports:

"Former Flint, Michigan, fire chief Raymond Barton filed a federal $10 million lawsuit against the city and its mayor alleging that he was terminated because he refused to help cover up a house fire that killed two young brothers. Barton said in a lawsuit filed Monday that Mayor Sheldon Neeley tried to pressure him into covering up the alleged misconduct of then-firefighters Daniel Sniegocki and Michael Zlotek, who claimed that they had “thoroughly” searched a Pulaski Street home on May 28 after a fire broke out on the first floor. Sniegocki and Zlotek said they found no one in the burning home and gave the “all clear” to other firefighters on the scene, the lawsuit said. A second group of firefighters later entered the home and found Lamar Mitchell, 9, and his brother Zyaire Mitchell, 12, in a second-floor bedroom. The brothers, who were home alone, were alive and rushed to the hospital in critical condition, stated a news release from Barton’s attorney. They died about a week later due to smoke inhalation, the Detroit Free Press reported. In November, the boys’ family announced plans to file a separate lawsuit."

Consider the following:

"Sniegocki and Zlotek, who resigned, could not be reached at phone numbers listed for them. They denied any wrongdoing through their union, the Detroit Free Press reported. The firefighters union, Neeley’s office and a city attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Tuesday. Six firefighters responded to the two-alarm electrical blaze. The lawsuit said that they were all informed that there were probably people inside the home. Sniegocki and Zlotek entered the house. Sniegocki used a hose to fight the flames on the first floor and told Zlotek to go upstairs to conduct a search, according to the suit. Sniegocki eventually went upstairs to help Zlotek, the lawsuit said. The lawsuit said that both firefighters exited the home and said they “thoroughly” searched the second floor. Zlotek said he used infrared equipment and thermal imaging cameras to find people “who might not be visible to the naked eye.” They both told the other firefighters at the scene that the house was “all clear,” meaning no one was inside, the suit said."

Not so.

“At that point, a second set of firefighters entered the home, went upstairs, and immediately found ZM , age 12, and LM , age 9, in a bedroom,” the suit stated. “The firefighters found LM on the floor in the doorway of their shared bedroom; ZM was lying in the bed in that room.” The boys were found about seven minutes after Sniegocki and Zlotek said the house was clear, according to the lawsuit. The children were not covered by any objects and “were visible to the naked eye,” the lawsuit said. After finding out what happened, Barton conducted an investigation and determined that Sniegocki and Zlotek lied in written reports about what they did to search the home for occupants “because, if they had conducted the search as they claimed, they would have found ZM and LM,” the suit stated. “On the basis of Sniegocki’s and Zlotek’s dishonesty and failure to fulfill their duties, Chief Barton recommended that the two firefighters be suspended without pay pending a final investigation and that they be discharged at the conclusion of that investigation,” it said. The lawsuit alleged that because Neeley was up for re-election at that time and needed the support of the firefighters union, he did not want Barton to terminate Sniegocki and Zlotek."

... At any price?

"The mayor instead told Barton “to alter official reports to disguise the firefighters’ misconduct, suspend the firefighters with pay, and drop his recommendation that they be discharged,” the suit stated. NBC News has not independently verified this claim. Barton refused “to serve Mayor Neeley’s personal, political interests by lying to the public in a cover-up of gross malfeasance and fraudulent conduct by two firefighters,” the document said. Nine days after Neeley’s re-election on Nov. 8, the mayor fired him, according to the lawsuit. In a Nov. 18 press release, the city announced Theron Wiggins as the interim fire chief. It did not say why Barton was no longer employed in that role. At a news conference Monday, Barton was asked whether the children could have been hiding in the bedroom, came out and collapsed after Sniegocki and Zlotek left the home. He said the bed frame sat on the floor and the only closet in the room was not big enough for both children to fit into. “There was no place for the children to be hiding,” he said. Barton, who had worked with the fire department for more than three decades, said his firing felt like a “dishonorable discharge” from the military. “The problem is I didn’t do anything wrong. All I did was tell the truth,” he said."

Principle?  ... What's that?

"The lawsuit is seeking $10 million because of the way the situation was handled, Barton’s attorney, Arnold Reed, said at the news conference. “It was completely unfair. It completely took Ray off guard for a person that has done what he has done for this community for so many years, consistently,” he said. The Genesee County Prosecutor requested state police to investigate whether there was any criminal negligence on the part of the firefighters involved, a police spokesperson said Tuesday. The investigation is ongoing."

No equal justice to date.  Think that's not a problem?  ABC News reports:

"Two years after a mob of then-President Donald Trump's supporters laid siege to the U.S. Capitol, Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a statement the Justice Department's efforts to prosecute those responsible for the Jan. 6 insurrection remains "far from over."

"Garland, who was nominated by Biden on the morning of Jan. 6, just hours before the Capitol was attacked, has repeatedly defended the department's investigation amid criticism that prosecutors appeared more focused on bringing justice to the so-called "foot soldiers" of Jan. 6 who participated in the Capitol riot instead of those who propagated the lies about the 2020 election and worked behind the scenes to thwart Trump's loss. That pressure only grew in recent months with public hearings and evidence released by the Jan. 6 House select committee, which formally shuttered over the weekend after issuing its final report and criminal referrals for Trump and at least one top ally, John Eastman. Trump's decision in the days after the 2022 midterms to announce his candidacy for the 2024 presidential ticket prompted Attorney General Garland to appoint a special counsel, Jack Smith, to assume responsibility over the investigation of whether Trump and his allies engaged in any illegal activity in their bid to cling to power. As part of the appointment, Garland formally separated Smith's work from the day-to-day investigation being run by the FBI and U.S. Attorney's Office in D.C. seeking to identify and prosecute all those who engaged in unlawful activity at Capitol on Jan. 6, which is still returning charges against new suspects on a near-daily basis."

Why not the kingpin who incited insurrection, the Trump nazi?  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Garland's appointment order also tasked Smith with overseeing a separate criminal probe into whether Trump illegally mishandled classified documents after leaving office and obstructed the government's attempts to recover them. Smith, a longtime DOJ veteran who at the time of his appointment was a top prosecutor investigating war crimes at the Hague, will now have the ultimate responsibility of recommending to Garland whether Trump or others at the center of the two investigations should face charges as a result of their conduct."

Why all the foot-dragging?  Why no equal justice for the top of the food chain?

"In a recent interview with CBS News, Garland's top deputy Lisa Monaco said that absent circumstances "extraordinarily outside the normal process," Smith's recommendations regarding Trump "will be the ones that stand."

Get on with it.

"In the case of DOJ's inquiry into Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election, Smith assumed control of an investigation that, in many ways, appeared to already be in its advanced stages."

Then, why hasn't the kingpin already been indicted?  Why is he being protected and coddled?  Why no equal justice from the bottom of the food chain to the very top?

"Over the summer, investigators searched the home of former top DOJ official Jeffrey Clark and secured a warrant to search Eastman's cell phone, both of whom have denied any wrongdoing. Scores of grand jury subpoenas have been issued to individuals tied to the effort to overturn the election, with many seeking information specifically on Trump's actions or involvement in the scheme to put forward false slates of electors in states won by Biden. Prosecutors have also battled in court to compel testimony from former high-ranking officials in Trump's White House, including his former counsel Pat Cipollone and officials close to former Vice President Mike Pence. Smith, who returned to Washington in recent days after undergoing knee surgery overseas from a bike accident, pledged in his only public statement following his appointment that the pace of both investigations will "not pause or flag under my watch."

Already has.  Wake up.

ABC News reports:

"Two years after the attack Jan. 6 attack, U.S. Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger on Friday called the events that transpired that day a "serious attack on our democracy." "It was one of the worst days in the history of our country, in my opinion," Chief Manger told ABC News' Diane Macedo on ABC News Live. "And I don't look at it through a political lens. I look at it as you know, we had a protest, we had a demonstration, and then we had folks attack the Capitol and it doesn't matter what their reasoning was. It doesn't matter their political persuasion. These people broke the law and assaulted officers. I have 140 cops that were hurt," he said. "There were deaths that day. And in the days following. This was a serious, serious attack on our democracy. And again, I don't say that from a political standpoint, I just say that's the reality of what happened that day."

Readers will recall:

"Manger was brought on shortly after Jan. 6 and vowed to change the ways of the Capitol Police. In a letter to Congress on Monday, Manger said his force had made 100 "significant improvements" after the insurrection, such as bringing in a new special events coordinator, hiring a new intelligence information coordinator and enhancing the civil disturbance unit, among other changes. "I think the biggest change that was necessary was we had to get our staffing up to where it needs to be and that's a work in progress, but we have well over 100 more officers here today than we had prior to January 6th," he said Friday. "We also have created relationships with all of the law enforcement agencies in and around the Washington, D.C., area and in fact up and down the east coast, where we have over the past couple of years, called on people to come down and assist us when we have a big event when we need additional staffing." He said he now has the authority to declare an emergency and call the National Guard -- something the Capitol Police chief couldn't do on Jan. 6. "I have the authority to declare an emergency. I have the authority to contact the National Guard directly if needed. So there's been a lot of things that were done because we looked at the failures on the sixth," he said. "And we said what do we need to do to make sure that they don't happen again? And so those things have been put into place, but I think having adequate staffing, having a good plan and having contingencies if something unexpected were to happen, we'd be able to react very quickly."

Hopefully, that's the case.

History repeats itself.  The Associated Press reports:

"No amnesty! No amnesty! No amnesty!” The chant reverberated off the walls of the jam-packed hall at the University of Sao Paulo’s law college on Monday afternoon. Within hours, it was the rallying cry for thousands of Brazilians who streamed into the streets of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, penned on protest posters and banners. The words are a demand for retribution against the supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro who stormed Brazil’s capital Sunday, and those who enabled the rampage. “These people need to be punished, the people who ordered it need to be punished, those who gave money for it need to be punished,” Bety Amin, a 61-year-old therapist, said on Sao Paulo’s main boulevard. The word “DEMOCRACY” stretched across the back of her shirt. “They don’t represent Brazil. We represent Brazil.”

Reminiscent of January 6, 2021 in the United States?

"Protesters’ push for accountability evokes memories of an amnesty law that for decades has protected military members accused of abuse and murder during the country’s 1964-85 dictatorship. A 2014 truth commission report sparked debate over how Brazil has grappled with the regime’s legacy. Declining to mete out punishment “can avoid tensions at the moment, but perpetuates instability,” Luis Felipe Miguel, a professor of political science at the University of Brasilia, wrote in a column entitled “No Amnesty” published Monday evening. “That is the lesson we should have learned from the end of the military dictatorship, when Brazil opted not to punish the regime’s killers and torturers.” Brazilian police on Monday had already rounded up roughly 1,500 rioters. Some were caught in the act of trashing Brazil’s Congress, the Supreme Court and the presidential palace. Most were detained the following morning at an encampment in Brasilia. Many were held in a gymnasium throughout the day, and video shared on pro-Bolsonaro social media channels showed some complaining about poor treatment in the crowded space. Almost 600 who were elderly, sick, homeless or mothers with their children were released Tuesday after being questioned and having their phones inspected, the Federal Police said in a statement. Its press office previously told The Associated Press that the force plans to indict at least 1,000 people. As of Tuesday afternoon, 527 people had been transferred to either a detention center or prison."

Sound remarkably familiar?  Reminiscent of what happened here in the United States two years ago?

"The administration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva says jailing the rioters is only the start. Justice minister Flávio Dino vowed to prosecute those who acted behind the scenes to summon supporters on social media and finance their transport on charges involving organized crime, staging a coup, and violent abolition of the democratic rule of law. Authorities also are investigating allegations that local security personnel allowed the destruction to proceed unabated. “We cannot and will not compromise in fulfilling our legal duties,” Dino said. “This fulfillment is essential so such events do not repeat themselves.” Lula signed a decree, now approved by both houses of Congress, ordering the federal government to assume control of security in the capital. Far-right elements have refused to accept Bolsonaro’s electoral defeat. Since his Oct. 30 loss, they have camped outside military barracks in Brasilia, pleading for intervention to allow Bolsonaro to remain in power and oust Lula. When no coup materialized, they rose up themselves. Decked out in the green and yellow of the national flag, they broke windows, toppled furniture and hurled computers and printers to the ground. They punched holes in a massive Emiliano Di Cavalcanti painting at the presidential palace and destroyed other works of art. They overturned the U-shaped table where Supreme Court justices convene, ripped a door off one justice’s office and vandalized a statue outside the court. Hours passed before police expelled the mob. “It’s unacceptable what happened yesterday. It’s terrorism,” Marcelo Menezes, a 59-year-old police officer from northeastern Pernambuco state, said at a protest in Sao Paulo. “I’m here in defense of democracy, I’m here in defense of the people.”

Get this:

"Political analysts had repeatedly warned that Bolsonaro was laying the groundwork for an insurrection in the mold of that which unfolded in the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. For months, he stoked belief among hardcore supporters that the nation’s electronic voting system was prone to fraud — though he never presented any evidence and independent experts disagreed."

Sound remarkably familiar?

"Results from the election, the closest since Brazil’s return to democracy, were quickly recognized by politicians across the spectrum, including some Bolsonaro allies, as well as dozens of other governments. The outgoing president surprised nearly everyone by promptly fading from view, neither conceding defeat nor emphatically crying fraud. He and his party submitted a request to nullify millions of votes, which was swiftly dismissed by the electoral authority. None of that dissuaded his die-hard backers from their conviction that Bolsonaro should still be in power. In the immediate aftermath of the riot, Lula said that the so-called “fascist fanatics” and their financial backers must be held responsible. He also accused Bolsonaro of encouraging the uprising. Bolsonaro denied the president’s accusation Sunday. Writing on Twitter, he said peaceful protest is part of democracy, but vandalism and invasion of public buildings cross the line. Authorities are also investigating the role of the federal district’s police in either failing to halt protesters’ advance or standing aside to let them run amok. Prosecutors in the capital said local security forces were negligent at the very least. A supreme court justice temporarily suspended the regional governor, who oversees the force, for what he termed “willful omission.” Another justice blamed authorities across Brazil for not swiftly cracking down on “homegrown neofascism.”

Certainly doing quite a good job of ignoring it here in the United States.

"The upheaval finally prompted municipal and state governments to disperse the pro-Bolsonaro encampments outside the military barracks. Their tents and tarps were taken down, and residents were sent packing. Meanwhile, pro-democracy protesters want to ensure their message — “No amnesty!” — will be heeded by both the law enforcement authorities and any far-right elements who might dare defy democracy again. “After what happened yesterday, we need to go to the street,” said Marcos Gama, a retiree protesting Monday night in Sao Paulo. “We need to react.”

U.S. House Speaker election fiasco continues.  The Associated Press reports:

"Pressure mounting, divided Republicans left the speaker’s chair of the U.S. House sitting empty for a third day Thursday, as party leader Kevin McCarthy failed anew in an excruciating string of ballots to win enough GOP votes to seize the chamber’s gavel. McCarthy lost a seventh round and was gaining no ground in an eighth. With his supporters and foes seemingly stalemated, feelings of both boredom and desperation seemed increasingly evident, with no end in sight. One McCarthy critic, Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, cast his vote for Donald Trump, symbolic but pointed."

How about that?  LOL.

"Despite endless talks, signs of concessions and a public spectacle unlike any other in recent political memory, the path ahead remained highly uncertain. What started as a political novelty, the first time in 100 years a nominee had not won the gavel on the first vote, has devolved into a bitter Republican Party feud and deepening potential crisis."

Surprised?

"McCarthy is under growing pressure from restless Republicans, and Democrats, to find the votes he needs or step aside, so the House can open fully and get on with the business of governing.

"The House, which is one-half of Congress, is essentially at a standstill as McCarthy has failed, one vote after another, to win the speaker’s gavel in a grueling spectacle for all the world to see. The ballots have produced almost the same outcome, 20 conservative holdouts still refusing to support him and leaving him far short of the 218 typically needed to win the gavel. In fact, McCarthy saw his support slipping to 201, as one fellow Republican switched to vote simply present."

The Associated Press reports:

"Republican Kevin McCarthy was elected House speaker on a historic post-midnight 15th ballot early Saturday, overcoming holdouts from his own ranks and floor tensions that boiled over after a chaotic week that tested the new GOP majority’s ability to govern. “My father always told me, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish,” McCarthy told cheering fellow Republicans. Eager to confront President Joe Biden and the Democrats, he promised subpoenas and investigations. “Now the hard work begins,” the California Republican declared. He credited former President Donald Trump for standing with him and for making late calls “helping get those final votes.” Republicans roared in celebration when his victory was announced, chanting “USA! USA!” Finally elected, McCarthy took the oath of office, and the House was finally able to swear in newly elected lawmakers who had been waiting all week for the chamber to formally open and the 2023-24 session to begin."

NBC News reports:

"After four days of deadlock and embarrassing defeats not seen in a century, House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy finally carved out a path to placate a faction of rebels and secure the top job early Saturday, with promises that could come back to haunt him. McCarthy flipped 14 of his holdouts and convinced the rest to stand down, securing election as the 53rd speaker of the House on the 15th ballot after overcoming a last-minute wrench that scuttled his best-laid plans on the previous ballot. In doing so, he made a series of concessions that weaken the power of his office and expand the clout of far-right members of the House Republican conference, which critics say could complicate his job of governing under a wafer-thin majority.

"The deal is poised to enhance the power of far-right Republicans at the expense of moderates who want to advance legislation that can win the approval of a Democratic-controlled Senate and President Joe Biden. It could make McCarthy’s task of passing must-do bills like funding the government and lifting the debt ceiling much harder under a slim majority if a group of five Republicans can effectively force him out at any time.

"Democrats say the reported concessions will make the House ungovernable and cause crises. “What we’re seeing is the incredibly shrinking speakership,” former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in an interview Friday. “It is not a good thing for the House of Representatives. We are the people’s house. We have to negotiate with the Senate. We have to negotiate with the White House. And instead, we are diminishing the leadership role of the House.” Rep. Jim McGovern, a Massachusetts Democrat and the most recent Rules Committee chair, said that putting three Freedom Caucus members on the panel, which is typically split 7 to 4 between the parties, could thwart the new speaker’s ambitions. “The reason these people want to be on the Rules Committee is they want to screw things up for McCarthy. They want to micromanage every single thing that he brings to the floor,” McGovern said. “He has given everything away, including his dignity, to try to become speaker. And if he becomes speaker, his nightmares just begin.” “He thinks this is bad — what he’s going through right now? He ain’t seen nothing yet, based on what he’s giving away.”

The Associated Press reports:

"Republican Kevin McCarthy is the new House speaker, but as bruising as it was for him to seize the gavel in a history-making election, it may be even more difficult for the embattled leader to do much with the powerful position — or to even keep it. Like the two most recent Republican speakers, John Boehner and Paul Ryan, McCarthy takes the helm of a restive, rebellious majority split in much the same way as the party itself, between what’s left of the Grand Old Party conservatives and a new generation of tea party-to-Donald Trump hard-liners preferring almost no big government at all. The chaos that erupted in four days of House voting, halting start of the new Congress, is a prelude to the highly uncertain path ahead as McCarthy tries to lead an unruly Republican majority to achieve its priorities and confront President Joe Biden’s agenda — and maybe even keep the government from shutting down.

"In the end, McCarthy emerges as a weakened speaker, one with less authority on paper than those before him. That’s particularly true because he agreed to give the hard-right holdouts a key concession: restoring a rule that allows any single lawmaker to make a “motion to vacate the chair,” essentially a vote to oust the speaker from that leadership post."

Follow-up on the ongoing Israeli government fiasco.  The Associated Press reports:

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s justice minister on Wednesday unveiled the new government’s long-promised overhaul of the judicial system that aims to weaken the country’s Supreme Court. Critics accused the government of declaring war against the legal system, saying the plan will upend Israel’s system of checks and balances and undermine its democratic institutions by giving absolute power to the most right-wing coalition in the country’s history."

Blatant nazification of what used to be a healthy democracy.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Justice Minister Yariv Levin, a confidant of Netanyahu’s and longtime critic of the Supreme Court, presented his plan a day before the justices are to debate a controversial new law passed by the government allowing a politician convicted of tax offenses to serve as a Cabinet minister. “The time has come to act,” Levin said."

The time has come for the United States to respond decisively.  Why continue to financially support an ally that is increasingly becoming a fascist autocracy?

"The proposals call for a series of sweeping changes aimed at curbing the powers of the judiciary, including by allowing lawmakers to pass laws that the high court has struck down and effectively deemed unconstitutional. Levin laid out a law that would empower the country’s 120-seat parliament, or Knesset, to override Supreme Court decisions with a simple majority of 61 votes. Levin also proposed that politicians play a greater role in the appointment of Supreme Court judges and that ministers appoint their own legal advisers, instead of using independent professionals. Levin argued that the public’s faith in the judicial system has plummeted to a historic low, and said he plans to restore power to elected officials that now lies in the hands of what he and his supporters consider to be overly interventionist judges. “We go to the polls and vote, choose, but time after time, people who we didn’t elect decide for us,” he said. “That’s not democracy.”

That's a crock of shit.  Simply, not true.  What these bastards are imposing amounts to a fascist police-state, not democracy.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"The planned overhaul has already drawn fierce criticism from Israel’s attorney general and the Israeli opposition, though it is unclear whether they will be able to prevent the far-right government from racing forward. Yair Lapid, former Prime Minister and head of the opposition, said he will fight the changes “in every possible way” and vowed to cancel them if he returns to power. “Those who carry out a unilateral coup in Israel need to know that we are not obligated to it in any way whatsoever,” he said."

Remarkably similar to what's happened here in the United States since the Trump nazi took office.

"If Levin’s proposed “override” law is passed, Netanyahu’s ultra-Orthodox and ultranationalist allies have said they hope to scrap Supreme Court rulings outlawing Israeli outposts on private Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank. They would also seek to allow for the protracted detention of African asylum-seekers and make official the exclusion of the ultra-Orthodox from the country’s mandatory military service. In Israel, Supreme Court judges are appointed and dismissed by a committee made up of professionals, lawmakers and some justices. Levin wants to give lawmakers a majority in the committee, with most coming from the right-wing and religiously conservative ruling coalition. “It will be a hollow democracy,” said Amir Fuchs, senior researcher at Jerusalem’s Israel Democracy Institute think tank. “When the government has ultimate power, it will use this power not only for issues of LGBTQ rights and asylum-seekers but elections and free speech and anything it wants.”

Remarkably similar to what's happened here in the United States since the Trump nazi took office.

"Recent opinion polls by the Israel Democracy Institute found a majority of respondents believe the Supreme Court should have the power to strike down laws that conflict with Israel’s Basic Laws, which serve as a sort of constitution."

Clearly, the Israeli citizenry is waking up to the exigent threat posed by Netanyahu and his colleagues.

"In a speech Wednesday ahead of Levin’s announcement, Netanyahu appeared to back his justice minister by vowing to “implement reforms that will ensure the proper balance between the three branches of government.” Since being indicted on corruption charges, Netanyahu has campaigned against the justice system. He denies all charges, saying he is the victim of a witch hunt orchestrated by a hostile media, police and prosecutors. Levin said his plan is “not connected in any way” to Netanyahu’s trial."

Think that's true?

"Just hours before Levin’s speech, Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, a prime target of the new government, declared her opposition to the ministerial appointment of one of Netanyahu’s key coalition partners who has been convicted of tax offenses. On Thursday, the Supreme Court is expected to hear petitions against Aryeh Deri serving as minister. As part of negotiations to form the current government, Israel’s parliament last month changed a law to allow someone convicted on probation to serve as a Cabinet minister. That paved the way for Aryeh Deri, the leader of the ultra-Orthodox Shas party, to serve half a term as the minister of health and interior affairs, before becoming finance minister. He will also hold the post of deputy prime minister. Deri was convicted of tax fraud and given a suspended sentence last year."

How about that?  Corruption reeks.  -- As it does here in the United States.

"Good governance groups saw the legal maneuver as a green light for corruption by a government cavalierly changing laws for political expediency. Baharav-Miara made her standing clear in a note to the Supreme Court. She said the appointment “radically deviates from the sphere of reasonability.” She has said she will not be defending the state in court against the appeals, because of her opposition. Levin’s proposed changes also include eliminating the test of “reasonability” when reviewing government decisions. Baharav-Miara was appointed by the previous government, which vehemently opposes Netanyahu’s rule."

For damned good reason.  He's a corrupt fascist autocrat.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Netanyahu’s allies have floated the idea of splitting up the post of attorney general into three roles including two that would be political appointments. That would water down the current attorney-general’s authority while opening the door for Netanyahu to install someone favorable to throwing out the charges against him."

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.

Cannot do it alone. Impossible. Not sustainable. This publication needs your financial and material support. Both.  Time to step up.
