Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable. Time to step up.  Now.

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Three hundred thirty eight weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Hey, Sheriff?  Reportedly, promote Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 to Sergeant?  If true, yet another classic example of survival of the unfittest in the law enforcement community.  Readers are reminded this is the very same idiot, clueless asshole responsible for thousands of dollars of damage to the Pace Arrow as reported in each edition of this publication.  Far more to Kingsland property owner James Berardi in a property dispute.  -- A dispute engineered by Johnny Greene, apparently financed by a bribe to the former County Attorney, current District Attorney, and Sheriff.  A federal investigation of Llano County government and the aforementioned allegedly corrupt and abusive bastards in this ongoing fiasco is desperately needed.  Tim Chorney.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Three hundred thirty eight weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Three hundred thirty eight weeks.  Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

TC 10-19-18

8-30-19

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

Uncommon Valor.  When an officer does something heroic or of great value to the community, it leads in this publication.  Always.  There are good officers in this country, -- outstanding officers who embrace the rule of law and the United States Constitution.  Former DC Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone is indeed one of them.  The following is not only about this officer who was severely injured during the 1-6-21 Capitol insurrection, but a conversation he had with Sen. Lindsey Graham.  -- A conversation that certainly places the fitness of Graham for office in question.  Seatbelts on.  CBS News reports:

"Michael Fanone, the DC Metropolitan Police officer who almost died defending the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, suffered burns, a heart attack and traumatic brain injuries after insurrectionists assaulted him that day. He got an electrical shock on his neck, and was beaten with a flagpole. Fanone has since resigned as a police officer, and has criticized those he says are trying to "whitewash" the assault on the Capitol. He secretly recorded his conversations with lawmakers in the months that followed. They are described in his new memoir, "Hold the Line: The Insurrection and One Cop's Battle for America's Soul" (to be published October 11 by Atria Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, which, like CBS, is part of Paramount Global)."

Here's the problem:

"In a meeting with Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Fanone described the assault officers faced, and, Fanone writes, Graham responded: "You guys should have shot them all in the head." On "CBS Mornings" Monday, Fanone described his meetings with lawmakers after the riots: "I was there that day with Gladys Sicknick, who's the mother of officer Brian Sicknick, who lost his life as a result of his work on January 6, and also [Capitol Police Officer] Harry Dunn was with me. And we were there advocating for a bipartisan commission to investigate the cause of January 6. And so, we were meeting with a bunch of senators trying to sway their vote, primarily I think it was all Republican senators. And Lindsey Graham happened to be present at this one meeting, and during that meeting – I don't know if he was trying to be funny or what – but he did kind of fly off the handle and say that he gave us guns, and that we should have shot all these protesters in the head." "CBS Mornings" co-host Gayle King asked, "What did you think when he said that?" "I told him I appreciated his enthusiasm," Fanone replied. "But you know, there are very specific guidelines that dictate law enforcement's use of force. And you know, while we are authorized to use deadly force in some very narrow set of circumstances, they would not have been practical in that type of an environment when there are so many people condensed in such a small space. There would have been individuals who would have been just caught in the crossfire and killed without justification."

Indeed.  No question.  The following is indicative of profound insight, and precisely the mindset that should be ubiquitous throughout all law enforcement:

"But it also speaks to a greater misunderstanding of policing and police policies – you know, our politicians are here to facilitate constructive conversations about law enforcement with law enforcement and members of the community, and when you have a sitting U.S. senator who doesn't even understand basic police policy, that's a problem."

Indeed, it is.  Not only for the public, but the nazi element in the Republican Party, and sadly, throughout the entire law enforcement community in our formerly great country.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"CBS News has been given first access to a surreptitious audio recording Fanone made during a June 2021 meeting between officers who responded on Jan. 6 and House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy of California, who spoke about his actions at the Capitol that day. McCarthy: "I was trying to convey to everybody I know – because they're not inside here – what is happening inside. And that's when I went on television, too. I said I talked to the president, and I want it ended." The mother of Officer Sicknick, who died of natural causes a day after the attack, was also in the meeting, and asked McCarthy why then-President Trump didn't call off the mob. Gladys Sicknick: "[Trump] knew what was going on. He knew they were fighting for hours and hours and hours … You know, this doesn't make any sense to me." McCarthy: "I'm just telling you from my phone call I don't know that he did know that at that point." In another exchange, Fanone challenges McCarthy, when the Republican leader urges against "politicizing" Jan. 6: McCarthy: '"If we don't handle it in a political way, I don't believe that happens … If we treat it like politics, then it just – " Fanone: "Kevin, I agree with you. The problem is, it is political, because it happened here on Capitol Hill and it involved a political movement. It involved a group of extremist right wing elements of our American society, which was mobilized by politicians, and that's just a fact."

Truer words never spoken.  Yet, the nazi element in the Republican Party remains determinedly clueless.

"Neither McCarthy nor Graham have returned requests from CBS News for comments on their conversations with Fanone."

Surprised?  Not possible to credibly defend the indefensible.

"Fanone has spoken about the loss of privacy, and the compromises to his physical and mental health, owing to the Jan. 6 rioters. When asked why he has continued to speak out publicly, he said, "I continue to talk about it because I haven't accomplished what I set out to accomplish, which was accountability for those that were responsible for January 6, and also for acknowledgment for the officers that fought at the Capitol that day to preserve democracy."

... Accountability right up to and including the kingpin who incited the attack, the Trump nazi.  The officers who valiantly fought Trump's supporters that day certainly displayed Uncommon ValorFascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"CBS Mornings" co-host Tony Dokoupil asked, "For people who don't believe what their own eyes see in video leading up to the riot on January 6 and then the day of the riot itself, it's very hard to convince them, and almost the more you try, the more they resist. I know you've had conversations with people where you've experienced that. How do you get through that so, as you say, the truth and the accountability you're looking for becomes a reality?" "I tried by releasing my body-worn camera footage, letting people see firsthand the reality of the violence of that day," he said. "We're now 19 months later, and unfortunately there's still a large part of America that either doesn't believe what happened that day, they don't believe me, or they're just indifferent to what happened."

One reason of many an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.

"You're a very recognizable guy," said Dokoupil. "When someone stops you at a restaurant or on a street corner and says, 'Hey, you're that guy, you're lying, you're out there telling lies,' how do you handle that?" "Fortunately, the in-person interactions that I've had have been mostly positive," Fanone said. "When I do have negative interactions, the people are usually so angry that they're incoherent. I don't know what the hell they're saying anyway."

Raw insanity.

"Co-host Nate Burleson asked, "You say that there could be potential consequences if that day is whitewashed. What do you mean by whitewashed, and also what are those consequences?" "Well, obviously you have, by whitewashing, I'm referring to statements from lawmakers like Andrew Clyde [A Georgia Republican who described the riot as a "normal tourist visit"], like Marjorie Taylor Greene [also a Georgia Republican], people who are saying that it was not a violent day," Fanone said. "They do so by taking, like, a single photograph of, you know, a relatively peaceful display on that day and using that microevent to describe, you know, the entire event in and of itself. "I mean, it's not 'misleading'; it's a lie. You know, if two people hugged it out on the west front of the Capitol while hundreds of officers were getting their behinds beaten, is that an honest description of what happened that day? "And obviously, if we don't hold these people accountable, you know, we're going to see this type of violence again," Fanone added. "We're going to see this playbook become a part of our national politics. And when one side doesn't win, they're going to resort to violence."

Tragically, has already happened.

"Co-host Gayle King said, "My heart broke reading the book. It made me angry, it made me sad. And I'm thinking you're an officer where at one point you were told, 'kill him with his own gun.' I don't know how you process that, Michael, and continue to do what you continue to do." "I'm stubborn," he replied."

Indeed, Uncommon Valor.  Hat's off to the best of the very best.

No woman should ever tolerate abuse.  The following is precisely why.  The DailyTrib reports:

"Dennis Wayne Price II of Kingsland was charged with murder on Thursday, Oct. 6, following the death of his wife, Carrie Ann Price. She died from injuries received during a domestic violence incident on Monday, Oct. 3. Dennis Price’s bond was set at $1 million, and he is currently awaiting a hearing with the district judge. According to a media release from the Llano County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received a call from a crying man at 6:36 p.m. Monday. It was later determined to be Dennis Price who called. Dispatch struggled to obtain information from the caller through the crying but eventually was given an address. Llano County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 1241 Glass Road in Kingsland. Deputies were on the scene within six minutes, according to the statement. Upon arrival, deputies found Carrie Ann Price unconscious and unresponsive on the living room floor. They performed CPR until EMS personnel arrived and managed to get a pulse, at which point, she was transported by air to the hospital and placed on life support. On Monday, Dennis Price was arrested and charged with assault-family violence-impeding breath or circulation with bond set at $1 million. On Wednesday, hospital staff informed the sheriff’s office that Carrie Ann Price was taken off of life support and had died. Dennis Price was charged with murder the following day. His bond remains at $1 million. Llano County deputies responded to multiple domestic disturbance calls at the Prices’ household in the past, according to Chief Deputy Brad Evans. “These are calls that we take every day,” Evans told DailyTrib.com. “When you see them go on for an extended period of time, you think it’s just going to escalate and get worse.”

We need to do better.  Far better.  This is a problem throughout the entire country.  Needs to see the light of day.  Not hidden, ignored, or excused by the public.

"Evans said domestic violence calls are frequent in the Kingsland area and hopes the exposure of this case will bring attention to the problem. “This was a tragedy, but maybe it can help other people in these situations get out of them,” he said. “When the press release went out, we saw a lot of comments from people that are experiencing domestic violence.”

There is help and support out there:

"October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Visit the Texas Council on Family Violence website for resources on domestic violence support. Call 911 if you are in an emergency situation."

Think there isn't a serious problem in the FBI?  The Associated Press reports:

"A U.S. senator is pressing the FBI for more information after a whistleblower alleged that an internal review found 665 FBI personnel have resigned or retired to avoid accountability in misconduct probes over the past two decades. The whistleblower told the office of Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, that the Justice Department launched the review of the FBI’s disciplinary database in 2020 following an Associated Press investigation into sexual misconduct allegations involving at least six senior FBI officials. The follow-up review found 665 FBI employees, including 45 senior-level officials, resigned or retired between 2004 and 2020 following a misconduct probe but before a final disciplinary letter could be issued, according to a letter this week from Grassley to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland. It was not clear how many of those cases involved sexual misconduct. Grassley’s office, which declined to make the whistleblower or underlying documents available to protect the person’s identify, said that was the kind of information it was still seeking but estimated the number could be in the “hundreds.” “It’s been alleged to my office that the data involved an element of sexual misconduct, which comports with the purpose of the ... review that was done because of the Associated Press article,” Grassley wrote in his letter that was first shared with the AP. “The committee welcomes any clarity the Justice Department is able to provide.”

Have to give great credit to the Senator.  Far too often, Republicans choose to ignore law enforcement malfeasance.

"Asked for its response, the FBI said it intended to respond to the oversight committee first. It declined to comment specifically on the whistleblower’s allegation or to provide its own tally of disciplinary cases and how many of them involved sexual misconduct. It instead issued a statement saying it has a zero-tolerance policy toward sexual harassment. “The FBI looks critically at ourselves and will continue to make improvements. The bottom line is, employees who commit gross misconduct and sexual harassment have no place in the FBI,” it said."

Empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric designed and intended for public consumption?

"The AP investigation in December 2020 identified at least six sexual misconduct allegations involving senior FBI officials over the prior five years ranging from unwanted touching and advances to coercion. It found that several senior FBI officials have avoided discipline — quietly transferring or retiring with full benefits — even after claims of sexual misconduct against them were substantiated. In one case, an FBI assistant director retired after the inspector general’s office concluded that he had harassed a female subordinate and sought an improper relationship with her. In its statement, the FBI said that since establishing a working group just days after the AP story was published, the bureau has implemented a series of changes, including a 24/7 tip line with a licensed clinician where employees can report abuse, and a working group of senior executives to review policies and procedures on harassment and victim support."

To his credit:

"Grassley asked in his letter for updates on other changes recommended by the Justice Department, including that it fast-track investigations to reduce the chance an accused employee could become eligible for retirement and leave the FBI before a probe can be completed. The FBI noted that it cannot legally prevent someone from resigning or retiring. “It is infuriating that we are left with little disciplinary recourse when people leave before their case is adjudicated,” the statement said."

Can certainly investigate, arrest, and prosecute the bastards regardless of their employment status if they've broken the law, can't you?

"David J. Shaffer, a Washington attorney who represents several victims of sexual misconduct in the FBI, called on lawmakers to examine how often the bureau opens internal investigations against women who come forward. “The most serious abuse of the FBI disciplinary system is to retaliate against the very women who complain by starting investigations against them after they report sexual misconduct,” he said, “thereby discouraging reporting in the FBI due to fear of retaliation.”

Goddamned outrageous and egregiously unsustainable.

"Tracy Walder, a former FBI agent who left the bureau in 2006 after she filed a sexual harassment complaint, said she believes such misconduct is pervasive and is glad it is finally being taken seriously. “I do not believe that the entirety of the FBI behaves this way. In fact, there are many excellent agents. However, because of the way I was treated, I feel a sense of shame and ‘What if?’ And this behavior has been allowed to continue for decades.”

This is a problem throughout all law enforcement in our formerly great country.  A democratic republic cannot survive without good, law abiding, non-abusive officers.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Murderous law enforcement.  In follow-up to a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, The Associated Press reports:

"City officials agreed to pay $12 million to the children of Daniel Prude, a Black man who died after police held him down until he stopped breathing on a snowy street in Rochester, New York. A federal judge approved the settlement in a court document filed Thursday. Rochester Mayor Malik D. Evans said in a statement that the agreement was “the best decision” for the city. “It would have cost taxpayers even more to litigate, and would have placed a painful toll on our community,” said Evans, who wasn’t in office when Prude died in March 2020. The settlement money, minus lawyers’ fees and costs, will go to Prude’s five children, who are heirs to the estate, attorneys said. “I think that it’s an amount of money that is sufficient to show that the City of Rochester recognizes that something very bad happened and that it’s very important for the city to put it in the rearview mirror and move forward,” said lawyer Matthew Piers, who represents the administrator of the estate."

There is quite a history of murders perpetrated by racist officers in this country.  The following, sadly, is but an achingly small sample:

"The agreement is the latest in a number of settlements involving police killings of Black people in the U.S. in the last decade. Among them: a $27 million agreement with the family of George Floyd and a $12 million settlement with relatives of Breonna Taylor. Their 2020 deaths — his in Minneapolis, hers in Louisville, Kentucky — ignited protests around the country and fueled a reckoning on racial justice and policing. A killing that became an earlier catalyst for the Black Lives Matter movement — the 2014 police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri — led to a $1.5 million settlement. In a lawsuit stemming from the chokehold death of Eric Garner that same year, New York City settled with his family for about $6 million. Just this August, three towns on Maryland’s Eastern Shore reached a $5 million settlement with relatives of Anton Black, who was chased, handcuffed and shackled by police before he stopped breathing in rural Greensboro in 2018. The family is continuing to pursue a case against the state medical examiner’s office."

Readers will recall:

"Police confronted 41-year-old Prude in March 2020 after his brother called to say the man needed mental health help. Prude had been taken to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation earlier that night but was released after a few hours, and later bolted from his brother’s home. After officers found him running naked through the streets, police video showed that Prude complied with police demands to get on the ground and put his hands behind his back. He became agitated as he sat, handcuffed, on the pavement. Police then put a hood over his head to stop him from spitting and held him down for about two minutes until his breathing stopped. He died several days later after being taken off life support. The county medical examiner said his death was a homicide caused by “complications of asphyxia in the setting of physical restraint” and cited the drug PCP as a contributing factor. The officers said they followed their training. A grand jury last year declined to bring criminal charges against them."

Precisely, the problem.  These jackbooted bastards were protected and coddled.  Not held criminally accountable.  Exactly, why this shit continues all across our formerly great country.

"The relatives’ lawyers said that Prude’s constitutional rights were violated by the police actions and what the family called an attempted cover-up by the department and city government. Emails released showed that in June 2020, Rochester police commanders urged city officials to hold off on publicly releasing the video because they feared violent blowback if it came out during nationwide protests that were then unfolding over the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Prude’s family eventually obtained the video and released it in September 2020."

The public is entitled to transparency.  Without it, there will be no desperately needed change.

No longer.

Nothing quite like 'competence' in law enforcement, is there?  NPR reports:

"A woman is calling for accountability after she says Virginia police officers hit her head-on while she was stopped at a traffic light, even though she wasn't the suspect they were looking for. In a video posted to Instagram on Saturday, Jamee Kimble can be heard berating officers with the Fairfax County Police Department after a police vehicle hit the silver sedan she, her two children and another adult had been traveling in. "I'm sitting at the light, and he comes and hits me from the front!" Kimble yells in the video. "They stopped the wrong person." Kimble, who said she was on her way to Walmart to buy food for her kids, said in her social media post that the incident occurred just six days after she delivered her youngest child via C-section."

Get this:

"Officers drew their guns on her and handcuffed her, Kimble said, before releasing her and offering medical treatment. Kimble can be heard in the video telling police that she couldn't be the suspect they were looking for because she had been in the hospital giving birth at the time of the earlier incident. In a statement posted to its website, the Fairfax County Police Department said the car was connected to an incident in neighboring Arlington County and that the occupants were listed in a national database as armed and dangerous. "During the stop, an officer's cruiser struck the front bumper of the wanted vehicle while traveling at an estimated speed under 10 mph. There was minimal damage to the car," the police statement said. The department said it has opened an administrative review of the stop. Speaking in an interview with News4 Washington, Kimble said she was shocked by the incident and wanted the police to apologize."

... Don't hold your breath.  LOL.

"I still am very angry and, more than anything, hurt because I teach my children that the police are supposed to protect us, and that if they need anything they can call them for help," she said."

Insanity continues unabated.  CBS News(AP) reports:

"Following new outrage by Uvalde parents, school officials abruptly fired a former Texas state trooper who was on the scene of the Robb Elementary School massacre and then hired by the school district after the shooting that killed 19 children and two teachers. The firing Thursday came after CNN reported that Crimson Elizondo, who resigned from the Texas Department of Public Safety after the May 24 attack, was hired by the Uvalde school district following one of the deadliest classroom shootings in U.S. history. Elizondo was among more than 90 state troopers — and nearly 400 law enforcement officers in all — who rushed to Robb Elementary during the massacre but waited more than an hour to confront a gunman with an AR-15-style rifle shooting inside a fourth-grade classroom."

GutlessGross incompetence.

"In police body camera footage, CNN reported, Elizondo is heard telling other officers at the scene of Robb Elementary: "If my son had been in there, I would not have been outside. I promise you that."

Outrageous, isn't it?  Galling, as well.

"In a statement Thursday, the school district did not address whether Uvalde school officials knew Elizondo was on the scene of the attack or her involvement, but said officials were "deeply distressed by the information that was disclosed yesterday evening concerning one of our recently hired employees." "We sincerely apologize to the victim's families and the greater Uvalde community for the pain that this revelation has caused," it said. While not confirming the specific contents, officials added that "Elizondo's statement in the audio is not consistent with the district's expectations." A district spokesperson did not immediately return messages Thursday. Hours before the firing, families had gathered outside the Uvalde Independent School District's administrative office to protest the hiring. "We are disgusted and angry at Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District's (UCISD) decision to hire Officer Crimson Elizondo. Her hiring puts into question the credibility and thoroughness of UCISD's HR and vetting practices," a statement from some of the victims' families said. "And it confirms what we have been saying all along: UCISD has not and is not in the business of ensuring the safety of our children at school." In July, a damning report cited "egregiously poor decision making" by law enforcement officers who waited more than an hour before confronting the 18-year-old gunman. The campus police chief, Pete Arredondo, was fired in August. State Sen. Roland Gutierrez, whose district includes Uvalde, said Elizondo's hiring "slapped this community in the face." "A DPS trooper was on scene within two minutes of the shooter and failed to follow training, protocol, and the duty they were sworn to," he said. "People's children died because DPS officials failed to do their job."

ABC News reports:

"The Uvalde, Texas, school district -- still facing withering criticism over its police department's failings both during the May 24 elementary school massacre and since -- announced the suspension of the entire district police force on Friday."

What took so long?

"The district said it's requested more Texas Department of Public Safety troopers to be stationed on campuses and at extra-curricular activities, adding, "We are confident that staff and student safety will not be compromised during this transition."

Like it was egregiously compromised the day of the massacre when more than 90 DPS state troopers stood by and did nothing for over an hour as students and staff were murdered?

"The length of the school district police department suspension is not clear."

Comforted by that?

"Lt. Miguel Hernandez, who was tasked with leading the department in the fallout from the shooting that killed 19 students and two teachers, and Ken Mueller, the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District's director of student services, were placed on administrative leave. Hernandez acknowledged in a law enforcement communication in August that he'd received formal notification from DPS that an officer applying to Uvalde's school police force was under investigation for her response at Robb Elementary. Mueller has elected to retire, according to the school district."

Why weren't both immediately fired?  Too egregiously incompetent to remain employed.  In view of the culture in the district and how it's handled the entire massacre fiasco, think the following wise?

"Officers currently employed will fill other roles in the district," the school district said. According to the district's website, that includes four officers and one security guard."

Sad, isn't it?

"Victims' families, led by Brett Cross, guardian of 10-year-old victim Uziyah Garcia, had been holding a round-the-clock vigil outside the school district headquarters calling for change. The families are now commending Friday's announcement."

Think it's sufficient?  Goes far enough?

"They don't know how to hire people, they don't know how to vet officers," Kimberly Rubio, whose daughter, Lexi, was killed at Robb Elementary, told ABC News. "They haven't provided proper training." Friday's news was "what we've been asking for -- it's more than we've been asking for," she said."

That right?  Think so?

"Gloria Cazares, whose 9-year-old daughter, Jackie, was killed, called Friday's announcement "bittersweet." "It's a win -- a small win," she told ABC News. "We're not done."

Sadly, nowhere near.

"The school district's move comes one day after the firing of Crimson Elizondo, the officer who was hired by Uvalde's school district despite being under investigation for her conduct as a DPS trooper during the massacre."

Get this.  It's appalling:

"Elizondo was the first DPS member to enter the hallway at Robb after the shooter gained entry. The trooper did not bring her rifle or vest into the school, according to the results of an internal review by DPS that was detailed to ABC News. As a result of potential failure to follow standard procedures, the trooper was among seven DPS personnel whose conduct is now being investigated by the agency's inspector general. The seven were suspended, however, by Elizondo resigning from DPS to work for the Uvalde schools she was no longer subject to any internal discipline or penalties. Her conduct -- if found to be in violation of law or policy -- would still be included in the final report from the DPS inspector general."

If true, needs to be prosecutedNot protected and coddled.

"The school district said in Friday's statement that "decisions concerning" the school district police department have been pending results of investigations from the Texas Police Chiefs Association and the private investigative firm JPPI Investigations, but "recent developments have uncovered additional concerns with department operations."

Surprised?

"Results of the JPPI investigation "will inform future personnel decisions" and the Texas Police Chiefs Association's review "will guide the rebuilding of the department and the hiring of a new Chief of Police," the statement said."

Comforted by that?

"The school district's police chief, Pete Arredondo, was fired in August."

Think it sufficient?  Anywhere near?

More of the same.  Gross incompetence.  NBC News reports:

"A San Antonio police officer still in his probationary period was fired after he shot at and injured a 17-year-old boy in the parking lot of McDonald's, the department said Wednesday. The teenager, Erik Cantu, is hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds. His condition was not known Friday morning. The officer, identified as James Brennand, responded to the fast-food eatery on Blanco Road around 10:45 p.m. Sunday for an unrelated disturbance call, according to police. "As the officer attempted to gather information from witnesses, he noticed a vehicle that had evaded him the day before as the officer attempted a stop because the registered license plate did not match the actual vehicle," Capt. Alyssa Campos, the department’s training commander, said in a video statement. The car, driven by Cantu, was not the subject of the disturbance call at the McDonald's, according to Campos. The officer, believing the car was stolen, called "for cover" but approached the vehicle before other officers arrived, she said. Campos said the officer "abruptly" opened the driver's door and ordered Cantu to get out. Police body-camera footage released by the department shows Cantu sitting in the driver's seat eating a McDonald's hamburger. A 17-year-old girl is in the passenger's seat. "Get out of the car," the officer says to Cantu, the video shows. Cantu put the car in reverse with the driver's door still open and backed up, Campos said, adding the officer was hit by the open door. "The officer then stepped back and opened fire on the vehicle as the driver reversed away from him," she said."

Never, ever, NEVER run from law enforcement.  The jackbooted bastards take it as carte blanche to murder on the job.  Usually, with impunity.

"Multiple gunshots can be heard in the video as the maroon car backs away and the driver's door closes. More shots are fired as the car flees the parking lot, the video shows. Cantu and his passenger were found about a block away. The passenger was not injured. Police charged Cantu with evading detention with a vehicle and assault on a peace officer. It's not clear if he has obtained an attorney who can speak on his behalf. Police have not said if the car was, in fact, stolen."

How about that?  Why no transparency?  With no transparency, there is no credibility.  Law enforcement lies.  Usually, with impunity.

"Brennand had been on the force for seven months and was still on probation, a standard practice for San Antonio officers who graduated from the police academy less than a year ago. “The former Officer’s actions are indefensible and do not align with our training, tactics and procedures," Chief William McManus said. "As such, I terminated him. I will withhold further comment as this incident is still under investigation." All police shootings are sent to the district attorney's office for review. Brennand has not been charged with a crime."

Why not?  Protecting and coddling the bastard?  Needs time to get his lies straight?  Conveniently, providing him with that time?

"Danny Diaz, president of the San Antonio Police Officers’ Association, said he will refrain from commenting until an investigation is completed."

Certainly, will provide ample time for both men to conveniently get their stories straight, i.e. their lies and distortion of reality.  Moreover?  Usefully, embellished to retain support of a gullible public.  -- A public all too willing to believe the lies of law enforcement.

The Associated Press reports:

"A now-former San Antonio police officer was charged Tuesday with two counts of aggravated assault by a peace officer for shooting and gravely wounding a teen eating a hamburger in his car in a McDonald’s parking lot. The teen had begun driving away when the officer opened fire. James Brennand, 25, was charged in the Oct. 2 shooting of Erik Cantu, 17, according to a police statement. He turned himself in to police Tuesday night and remained in custody, said Police Chief William McManus. Cantu is still unconscious and on life support, his family said Tuesday. “There is no improvement in his condition,” the family said in a statement delivered by their lawyer, Brian Powers. “The last two days have been difficult, and we expect more difficulty ahead, but we remain hopeful.” Brennand, a rookie officer, reported the vehicle Cantu was sitting in had evaded him the night before during an attempted traffic stop. Brennand said he suspected the vehicle was stolen. In body camera footage released by police, Brennand opens the car door and tells Cantu to get out. The car drives backward with the door open, and the officer fires multiple times into the vehicle. He continues to shoot as the car drives away. Investigators quickly determined that the use of deadly force was unwarranted, and Brennand was fired. Charges against Cantu of aggravated assault and evading arrest were dropped."

How about that?

Get this:

"A police spokesperson did not immediately respond to an inquiry about whether the vehicle was actually stolen."

Why no transparency?

"Brennand is charged with two counts of assault because there was a passenger in the car. The passenger was unharmed. In a press conference Tuesday evening, the police chief defended the department’s training and said the failures were those of the individual officer. In an appearance on CNN earlier Tuesday, McManus said he expected aggravated assault charges would be filed, and murder charges in the event Cantu dies. McManus said Brennand’s body camera video was “horrific.” “There is no question in anybody’s mind looking at that video that the shooting is not justified,” McManus said."

Get this:

"Police officials and the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office did not immediately return messages from The Associated Press. Brennand has no published telephone number and could not be reached for comment."

What could they say?

"Cantu’s condition, as related in his family’s statement, is in stark contrast to what police officials said in the wake of the shooting: that Cantu was hospitalized in stable condition. “We’d like to correct any misrepresentations that Erik is in ‘stable condition’ or he is ‘going to be fine.’ That is not true. Every breath is a struggle for Erik. We ask for everyone’s continued prayers for our son,” the family said."

"Two Arkansas deputies who were caught on video violently arresting a man outside a convenience store in August have been fired, the Crawford County Sheriff's Office said. Deputies Zack King and Levi White were fired one to two weeks ago, Linda Phillips, administrative assistant for the sheriff's office, said Friday. She did not know the exact date of their termination and said she could not disclose the reason they were fired. King joined the department in 2019 and White in January after stints at the sheriff's offices in Johnson and Franklin counties. Sheriff Jimmy Damante did not return requests for comment. He told television station KHBS on Thursday that his decision was for the betterment of the sheriff's department and the community. He did not elaborate. Russell Wood, an attorney for King and White, has not commented publicly about the firings. A representative from his law firm said Friday that a statement would be posted later to its Facebook page. A bystander recorded a 34-second video of King, White and Mulberry Police Officer Thell Riddle arresting Randal Worcester, 27, outside a convenience store in Mulberry, about 137 miles northwest of Little Rock. One of them repeatedly punches Worcester's head and smashes it into the pavement while another knees him over and over as the third holds him down."

Why haven't they been arrested?

"The three men were suspended with pay after the video was posted on social media and sparked widespread outrage. The Aug. 21 incident drew condemnation from Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson and prompted state and federal investigations. Neither King, White nor Riddle was wearing body cameras. Video from the Mulberry police vehicle's dashcam has not been released."

Why not?  No transparency?  No credibility.

"The Arkansas State Police has said the officers were responding to a disturbance call when they came upon Worcester. Damante has said Worcester was being questioned for threatening a female employee at a convenience store with a knife and spitting on her in the nearby small town of Alma. Damante said Worcester tackled one of the deputies and punched him in the head before the arrest, and the deputy suffered a concussion. Worcester was treated at a hospital and then jailed. He was charged with second-degree battery, resisting arrest, terroristic threatening, second-degree assault, criminal mischief, possessing an instrument of crime, refusal to submit and criminal trespass. He was released on a $15,000 bond."

Yet, the jackbooted bastards have not been arrested?

"A state police spokesperson said Friday that the initial investigative file was sent last month to a specially appointed prosecutor for review to determine whether use-of-force laws were violated by the law enforcement officers."

Fox guarding the chicken coop.

"Mulberry Police Chief Shannon Gregory said Riddle is still on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the prosecutor's investigation. Riddle has been with the department since March 2017."

Protected and coddled?

"Worcester filed a federal lawsuit against King, White, Riddle, the police chief and the sheriff, alleging they violated his constitutional rights. The lawsuit says Worcester sustained permanent injuries from the arrest that will require "continual medical treatment." David Powell, an attorney for Worcester, described the firings as "a start." "I think it's more the department trying to protect itself than actually punishing these officers," Powell said Friday. "The only thing that would bring real justice is for them to be charged criminally."

No question.

"Powell is also representing a handful of people who have come forward since Worcester's arrest to allege abuse at the hands of sheriff's deputies during separate arrests. Powell said two of the individuals who have alleged that White used excessive force against them — Teddy Wallace and Tammy Nelson — are scheduled to be interviewed by the FBI next week. Powell said he has reached out to the special prosecutor and believes it will be at least another month before a decision is made on whether the three men will face charges. "For the community, there needs to be accountability going forward," Powell said. "There needs to be dash and body cams so we know there will be a structural change within the department. I think that's how real change happens in the county."

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Think you've heard it all?  You haven't.  NPR reports:

"The Los Angeles Police Department officer who was killed during a training exercise, in what officials called a "tragic accident," was allegedly targeted for investigating a gang rape by fellow officers, according to his family. LAPD officer Houston Tipping's mother has filed a wrongful death claim against the city. Lawyer Bradley Gage told NPR that the 32-year-old was deliberately assaulted after submitting reports concerning a female victim who claims she was raped by four LAPD officers, including one who was part of the training during which Tipping was killed. "They used that training as a cover to kill him in retaliation for his whistleblowing activity," Gage said."

Stunningly courageous for an officer to stand tall, hold his fellow officers accountable for their alleged criminal activity.  Hat's off.  Indeed, Uncommon Valor.  A democratic republic cannot survive without such officers.

"Gage said Tipping became aware of the alleged assault when a female victim told him about the attack, identifying the accused rapists by the names on their name tags. Tipping immediately began looking into the woman's reports, moving it "on up the chain, " Gage said. Tipping, a five-year veteran and bike instructor with the department, suffered a spinal injury during a practice drill covering self-defense tactics at a May 26 LAPD training academy. Tipping was role-playing the part of an uncooperative "suspect" and charged an unnamed officer in the scenario. The two tussled for a short time before the unnamed officer allegedly dropped Tipping on his head, causing a catastrophic injury to his spine, according to the department. The incident caused Tipping to go into cardiac arrest, and he died three days later, having never regained consciousness."

Outrageous.  Gets worse.  Get this:

"An investigation states that 18 officers and one sergeant witnessed the deadly tussle. LAPD officials have repeatedly stated that there was no video or audio recording of the training. The department did not respond to NPR's request for comment regarding Gage's claims about the incident or the alleged sexual assault."

No transparency.  Without transparency, there can be no trust.

"Gage disputes the official account, arguing that Tipping was beaten by several officers who "repeatedly struck [him] in the head and body severely enough that he bled, required stitches, suffered a lacerated liver and three broken ribs." He said UCLA medical experts who have reviewed Tipping's autopsy report concluded that the officer's injuries do not square with the department's version of events."

What does that tell you?

"If it happened the way they say it happened, how did he end up with six staples in his head and a lacerated liver?" Gage asked. The LAPD has said many of Tipping's injuries were the result of attempts to revive him at the academy. Again, Gage claims that is untrue. He said medical records obtained by his legal team show that a LUCAS device, which works as an automatic CPR machine and that was in the training room at the time, was not turned on. "Had they used the device, it could explain the broken ribs, but we know it was never used," Gage said. He added: "The LAPD also tried to claim that the broken ribs could be a cause of the perforated liver. But as I understand it, the ribs were on the opposite side of the liver." And regardless of the differing accounts given by the officers who were present, Gage said LAPD training guidelines state that a person is not supposed to be lifted off the ground. "When you look at all these horrific injuries, the truth is something went seriously wrong here," he said. "This raises a number of questions that the family would like to have answered."

Get this:

"On Tuesday the LAPD presented a report on Tipping's death to the Los Angeles Police Commission. It is the first detailed public accounting the LAPD has offered of the fatal incident. "This was not a mob attack, as has been alleged, rather (a one-on-one scenario in) which was Officer Tipping playing the role as a suspect in order to help officers learn how to deal with that one individual," Lizabeth Rhodes, director of the Office of Constitutional Policing and Policy, told the city Police Commission. The same scenario had been run about 10 times before Tipping took a turn, she explained. Rhodes told the commission that Tipping was instructed to aggressively attack a trainee officer, pretending to be a suspect. According to witness reports, the trainee struck Tipping in a leg with a foam baton and he reacted "as he was supposed to in this scenario, by going down on one knee to simulate a successful baton strike." Tipping did not stay down, according to Rhodes. "Officer Tipping then lifted the officer, the student officer, from the ground and the student officer's arm went around Officer Tipping's neck, wrapping toward the front of Officer Tipping's cheek and throat. As the two fell to the floor, Officer Tipping's neck remained in that grasp," Rhodes said. She said it was immediately clear that Tipping, who was "struggling to speak," was injured, prompting the officers in the training session to begin first-aid efforts. "The coroner's office determined that this was an accident, as did the department," Rhodes said. "It was a tragic accident and again we express our condolences." The department has made recommendations to improve the bicycle patrol school, including training safety. But Rhodes said the recommendations would most likely not have prevented Tipping's death."

Doesn't address specific allegations made by the family's defense attorney.

"Gage is calling on the Los Angeles District Attorney's office to launch an independent investigation into the matter."

Sufficient?  Think that's not akin to the fox guarding the chicken coop?

No justice.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

In follow-up to a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, The Associated Press reports:

"Recent revelations about the search warrant that led to Breonna Taylor’s death have reopened old wounds in Louisville’s Black community and disrupted the city’s efforts to restore trust in the police department. Former Louisville officer Kelly Goodlett admitted in federal court that she and another officer falsified information in the warrant. That confirmed to many, including U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, that Taylor never should have been visited by armed officers on March 13, 2020. Protest leaders who took to the streets of Kentucky’s largest city after she was fatally shot by police say Goodlett’s confession confirms their suspicions that Louisville police can’t be trusted and that systemic issues run deep. They say officers abused demonstrators after the botched raid, and that her fatal shooting is just one of many reasons why the community remains wary. “What bothers me so incredibly, is that so many lives were lost because of this lie,” said Hannah Drake, a Louisville poet and leader in a push for justice after Taylor’s death. “They don’t even understand the far-reaching tentacles of what they did.”

An ongoing problem throughout this country.

"More than once during that long, hot summer, individual officers escalated rather than calmed a situation. An officer who shot into the restaurant, injuring the dead man’s niece, was fired after taunting demonstrators on social media, daring them to challenge the police. Another Louisville officer faces a federal charge over hitting a kneeling protester in the back of the head with a baton. “We were right to protest,” Louisville Urban League President Sadiqa Reynolds tweeted shortly after Goodlett’s plea. “People are dead and lives upended because of a pile of lies.”

An ongoing issue throughout all law enforcement.

"Some Louisville officers have been disciplined, fired, and even charged with crimes for abusing protesters, in addition to the four officers now charged federally in relation to the botched raid. But the problems can’t be blamed on a few rogue officers, according to a lawsuit brought by Taylor’s white neighbors, who were nearly hit by gunfire during the raid. They accuse the department of having a “warrior culture” and cultivating an “us vs. them” mentality. And the family of a Black man shot dead in his restaurant’s kitchen by law enforcement says in a lawsuit that police aggression during a curfew instigated his death."

Sadly, law enforcement remains out of control throughout the country.

"Louisville is working on numerous reforms, implementing a new 911 diversion program, increasing leadership reviews of search warrant requests and improving officer training. The city has outlawed “no knock” warrants, conducted an independent audit and paid Taylor’s mother $12 million in a civil settlement. A new police chief, Erika Shields, was hired in 2021. Such reforms have been implemented amid a continuing U.S. Department of Justice investigation of LMPD’s policing practices, which could land at any moment. The chief called Taylor’s death “horrific,” and said in an interview with The Associated Press that she welcomes the federal investigations, which led to charges against Goodlett and the other officers. “I think we’re in an important place that was necessary to get to, before we move on,” she said."

Here's the problem:

"Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s investigation then ended without any officers being charged directly in Taylor’s death. It took federal prosecutors to convict Goodlett — she pleaded guilty to conspiracy and admitted to helping create a phony link between Taylor and a wanted drug dealer. Goodlett resigned the day before her charges were announced in August and awaits sentencing next month. In August court filings, federal prosecutors said another former officer, Joshua Jaynes, inserted the crucial information into the warrant request that drew Taylor into the narcotic squad’s investigation — claiming that a postal inspector had verified that the drug dealer was receiving packages at Taylor’s apartment. Goodlett and Jaynes knew that was false, as did their sergeant, Kyle Meany, when he signed off on the request, Garland said. “Breonna Taylor should be alive today,” Garland said."

Think the following sufficient?

"Goodlett, Jaynes and Meany were all fired, as was a fourth officer, Brett Hankison, who faces federal charges for blindly firing into Taylor’s home through a side door and window. He was exonerated on similar state charges earlier this year. Jaynes and Meany are being tried together. That trial, along with Hankison’s, is scheduled for next year. Goodlett is expected to testify against Jaynes. Metro Council President David James, a former police officer, said that to restore trust, Louisville’s Black community “just wants the police to treat them the same way they would treat people in another part of the city.”

Think that will ever happen?  Especially, in light of the following:

"No incident highlighted the racial divide more than the fatal shooting of Black restaurant owner David McAtee as police sought to enforce the city’s curfew in a predominantly African American neighborhood far from the center of the Taylor protests. Just before midnight on May 31, 2020, Louisville officers and Kentucky National Guard members were sent to a gathering spot near McAtee’s YaYa’s BBQ “for a show of force (and) intimidation,” McAtee’s family alleges in a lawsuit. A few nights earlier, officer Katie Crews had been photographed in a line of police as a protester offered her a handful of flowers. Crews posted the image on social media, writing that she hoped the protester was hurting from the pepper balls she “got lit up with a little later on.” “Come back and get ya some more ole girl, I’ll be on the line again tonight,” Crews wrote. When officers marched toward McAtee’s restaurant, Crews escalated the tension by firing non-lethal pepper balls at the crowd, an LMPD investigation found. Many people rushed into McAtee’s kitchen, where his niece was shot in the neck by Crews with the non-lethal rounds. That prompted McAtee to pull a pistol from his hip and fire a shot. Seeing that, Crews and other officers switched to live rounds and McAtee, leaning out his kitchen door, was fatally shot in the chest by a National Guard member. The deadly force was found to be justified, but the police chief was fired by Fischer because the Louisville officers involved had failed to turn on their body cameras, just as they did during the Taylor raid."

What does that tell you?  Anything at all?

Get this:

"Crews later admitted that no one in the crowd had been disorderly. She was fired by Shields in February. Now she faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted of a federal charge of using unreasonable force."

Nowhere near enough.

"James groaned while recalling McAtee’s death, saying he was saddened because he knew him and had eaten his food. The “extremely unfortunate and tragic” shooting has stuck with him as an example of bad policing, he said. Drake said more systemic changes are needed. In the meantime, she said authorities should apologize for their treatment of protesters, and drop any cases against people arrested for demonstrating that summer. Hundreds have been cleared, but some remain criminally charged. Knowing it was all so unnecessary only deepens the pain, she said. “We could have avoided all this,” Drake said. “And I think that’s where the pain comes from — we were right!”

The Associated Press reports:

"A former Louisville police officer blamed for instigating a conflict that led to the fatal shooting of a Black barbecue restaurant owner during the Breonna Taylor protests has pleaded guilty to using excessive force. Katie R. Crews, 29, pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to a misdemeanor. She was indicted in March on a felony excessive force charge that carried a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison."

No justice.  More on this as the story develops.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Federal judge stands up for the Second Amendment.  The Associated Press reports:

"New York’s latest attempt to restrict who can carry a handgun in public and where firearms can be brought was picked apart Thursday by a federal judge, who ruled that multiple provisions in a state law passed this year are unconstitutional. In a ruling that doesn’t take effect immediately, U.S. District Judge Glenn Suddaby struck down several key provisions of the state’s hurried attempt to rewrite its handgun laws after the old ones were struck down by the Supreme Court in June. Several of the state’s new licensing rules went too far, the judge wrote, including one that required applicants to be of “good moral character,” and another that made applicants turn over information about their social media accounts. The end result was a licensing scheme that prohibited people from carrying a handgun for self defense unless the applicant could persuade licensing officials that they wouldn’t use it to hurt themselves or others, the judge wrote. “Simply stated, instead of moving toward becoming a shall-issue jurisdiction, New York State has further entrenched itself as a shall-not-issue jurisdiction. And, by doing so, it has further reduced a first-class constitutional right to bear arms in public for self defense ... into a mere request,” wrote Suddaby, who sits in Syracuse. The ruling also rejected provisions that would bar people from carrying handguns into certain “sensitive locations.” Rules prohibiting most people from carrying guns into schools, government buildings, polling places and places of worship were OK, the judge wrote. But the state couldn’t put a blanket ban on people from carrying handguns into New York City’s Times Square, the subway system, summer camps or places where alcohol is consumed. The judge based those decisions largely on any “historical analogues” for such rules, or whether guns been banned from such places in the past. Suddaby, an appointee of former President George W. Bush, put his ruling on hold for three days to allow the state to appeal to a higher court. New York Attorney General Letitia James said her office would appeal."

Follow-up to Trump Mar-a-Logo search.  NBC News reports:

"Christina Bobb, the attorney who signed a letter certifying that all sensitive records in former President Donald Trump's possession had been returned to the government, spoke to federal investigators Friday and named two other Trump attorneys involved with the case, according to three sources familiar with the matter. The certification statement, signed June 3 by Bobb, indicated that Trump was in compliance with a May grand jury subpoena and no longer had possession of a host of documents with classification markings at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, according to the three sources who do not want to comment publicly because of the sensitive nature of the sprawling federal investigation. Their accounts correspond with federal court records, though the Justice Department did not name her as the attorney who signed the statement, or identify any others involved, in its filings."

Readers will recall:

"After Justice Department officials were given the statement, the FBI subsequently determined the substance of the certification was untrue and, on Aug. 8, agents executed a search warrant and seized 103 more records with classification markings, court documents show. Bobb, who was Trump’s custodian of record at the time, did not draft the statement, according to the three sources who do not want to comment publicly because of the sensitive nature of the sprawling federal investigation. Instead, Trump’s lead lawyer in the case at the time, Evan Corcoran, drafted it and told her to sign it, Bobb told investigators according to the sources. Bobb also spoke to investigators about Trump legal adviser Boris Epshteyn, who she said did not help draft the statement but was minimally involved in discussions about the records, according to the sources. Epshteyn’s cellphone was seized last month by the FBI, according to a New York Times report, citing sources familiar with the matter. Two sources confirmed to NBC News that his phone was seized. Bobb did not return messages seeking comment, nor did Corcoran. The Justice Department did not comment."

Fascinating, isn't it?  Plot thickens:

"Before Bobb signed the document, she insisted it be rewritten with a disclaimer that said she was certifying Trump had no more records “based upon the information that has been provided to me,” the sources said of what she told investigators. Bobb identified the person who gave her that “information” as Corcoran, the sources said. “She had to insist on that disclaimer twice before she signed it,” said one source who spoke with Bobb about what she told investigators."

Wisely, covered her gluteus maximi.

"The source said she spoke freely without an immunity deal. “She is not criminally liable," the source said. "She is not going to be charged. She is not pointing fingers. She is simply a witness for the truth.” The certification said that a “diligent search was conducted” for records requested in a May 11 grand jury subpoena and that all relevant requested records were turned over. In an Aug. 31 court filing, which included a copy of the certification, the Justice Department called the statement's veracity into question. “That the FBI, in a matter of hours, recovered twice as many documents with classification markings as the ‘diligent search’ that the former President’s counsel and other representatives had weeks to perform calls into serious question the representations made in the June 3 certification and casts doubt on the extent of cooperation in this matter,” the Justice Department wrote."

No question.  Called stonewalling.  To protect the ass of the Trump nazi.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Represented by Tampa attorney John Lauro, Bobb gave her testimony Friday in Washington and spoke to federal investigators, not the grand jury investigating Trump, the source with knowledge of her testimony said. The information she gave could play a crucial part in the widening investigation into Trump concerning his possession of records that the federal government alleges he should not have kept after he left office. In total since January, Trump in his post presidency possessed 325 records with classification markings that were either labeled “TOP SECRET” (60 of them), “SECRET” (162) or “CONFIDENTIAL” (103), the government has indicated in court filings."

Outrageously:

"At his campaign-style rallies, Trump has suggested without evidence that the FBI planted some of the documents while simultaneously arguing he had a right to possess the records anyway. The Justice Department has in court filings pushed back against the claims of evidence-planting, and Trump’s attorneys have so far not raised those claims in court."

Not surprising, is it?  The attorneys are covering their ass.

"On Sunday, Trump amplified his unsubstantiated allegations in an Arizona rally that Bobb, a right-wing media commentator, had attended, according to her Twitter feed. The day after Bobb spoke to investigators, The New York Times reported how Trump resisted the federal government’s longstanding requests for the documents, involving aides and lawyers. Meanwhile, the Times and The Washington Post, citing people familiar with the deliberations, have also reported infighting on Trump’s legal team that involves Epshteyn, Corcoran and a new lawyer hired to take over the case, Chris Kise, who could not be reached for comment. “People made [Bobb] the fall guy — or fall gal, for what it’s worth — and it’s wrong,” the source said. “Yes, she signed the declaration. No one disputes that. But what she signed is technically accurate. ... The people who told her to sign it should know better.”

Pressure is ramping up.  Screws tightening.

ABC News reports:

"The Department of Justice on Tuesday urged the Supreme Court to avoid intervening in the government's ongoing documents dispute with Donald Trump, asserting that the former president is not entitled to have the court put the materials before an independent arbiter. Trump had asked the court to put more than 100 documents with classification markings back in the hands of the special master appointed to review the materials seized from Mar-a-Lago. The DOJ said in their latest filing that Trump "has no plausible claims of ownership or privilege in the documents bearing classification markings" and said that he has never represented in court that he declassified any of the documents -- "much less supported such a representation with competent evidence." A federal appeals court last month excluded those documents from the special master's review and restored the government's access to them as federal prosecutors decide whether any criminal charges are warranted. "Most notably, applicant has not even attempted to explain how he is irreparably injured by the court of appeals' partial stay, which simply prevents disclosure of the documents bearing classification markings in the special-master review during the pendency of the government's expedited appeal," the DOJ's Tuesday filing stated."

Get this:

"The department said Trump "has no basis to demand special master review" of any classified documents. Trump's application was made to the Supreme Court's Clarence Thomas, the justice for the 11th Circuit. Thomas could rule on his own or refer the matter to the full court. In the next 48 hours, the Trump team will file a reply to the DOJ's brief. Then the court could act at any time, though it has not yet shown any indication that it sees this issue as an "emergency" in the way that Trump does."

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
