Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable. Time to step up.  Now.

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Three hundred thirty three weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Hey, Sheriff?  Reportedly, promote Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 to Sergeant?  If true, yet another classic example of survival of the unfittest in the law enforcement community.  Readers are reminded this is the very same idiot, clueless asshole responsible for thousands of dollars of damage to the Pace Arrow as reported in each edition of this publication.  Far more to Kingsland property owner James Berardi in a property dispute.  -- A dispute engineered by Johnny Greene, apparently financed by a bribe to the former County Attorney, current District Attorney, and Sheriff.  A federal investigation of Llano County government and the aforementioned allegedly corrupt and abusive bastards in this ongoing fiasco is desperately needed.  Tim Chorney.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Three hundred thirty three weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Three hundred thirty three weeks.  Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

No longer.

Cellphone tracking employed by law enforcement.  The Associated Press reports:

"Local law enforcement agencies from suburban Southern California to rural North Carolina have been using an obscure cellphone tracking tool, at times without search warrants, that gives them the power to follow people’s movements months back in time, according to public records and internal emails obtained by The Associated Press. Police have used “Fog Reveal” to search hundreds of billions of records from 250 million mobile devices, and harnessed the data to create location analyses known among law enforcement as “patterns of life,” according to thousands of pages of records about the company. Sold by Virginia-based Fog Data Science LLC, Fog Reveal has been used since at least 2018 in criminal investigations ranging from the murder of a nurse in Arkansas to tracing the movements of a potential participant in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol. The tool is rarely, if ever, mentioned in court records, something that defense attorneys say makes it harder for them to properly defend their clients in cases in which the technology was used."

How is this constitutional?  Fourth Amendment.

"The company was developed by two former high-ranking Department of Homeland Security officials under former President George W. Bush. It relies on advertising identification numbers, which Fog officials say are culled from popular cellphone apps such as Waze, Starbucks and hundreds of others that target ads based on a person’s movements and interests, according to police emails. That information is then sold to companies like Fog."

Currently, there is no greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than out of control government including law enforcement.  All courtesy of the nazi element in the Republican Party and Democrats who have egregiously failed to combat this fascist threat.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

“It’s sort of a mass surveillance program on a budget,” said Bennett Cyphers, a special adviser at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a digital privacy rights advocacy group. This story, supported by the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting, is part of an ongoing Associated Press series, “Tracked,” that investigates the power and consequences of decisions driven by algorithms on people’s everyday lives. The documents and emails were obtained by EFF through Freedom of Information Act requests. The group shared the files with The AP, which independently found that Fog sold its software in about 40 contracts to nearly two dozen agencies, according to GovSpend, a company that keeps tabs on government spending. The records and AP’s reporting provide the first public account of the extensive use of Fog Reveal by local police, according to analysts and legal experts who scrutinize such technologies. Federal oversight of companies like Fog is an evolving legal landscape. On Monday, the Federal Trade Commission sued a data broker called Kochava that, like Fog, provides its clients with advertising IDs that authorities say can easily be used to find where a mobile device user lives, which violates rules the commission enforces. And there are bills before Congress now that, if passed, would regulate the industry."

Why wasn't this done years ago?  Have legislators been bribed not to do so?

“Local law enforcement is at the front lines of trafficking and missing persons cases, yet these departments are often behind in technology adoption,” Matthew Broderick, a Fog managing partner, said in an email. “We fill a gap for underfunded and understaffed departments.”

At the expense of privacy, you son of a bitch?

"Because of the secrecy surrounding Fog, however, there are scant details about its use and most law enforcement agencies won’t discuss it, raising concerns among privacy advocates that it violates the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which protects against unreasonable search and seizure."

No question.  Clearly, its intended purpose.  The jackbooted bastards in blue use it to abuse power and Fog Reveal lines its pockets at the expense of privacy and the Fourth Amendment.  Traitorous, treasonous motherf--kers who believe in a fascist police-state, -- not a democratic republic.

"What distinguishes Fog Reveal from other cellphone location technologies used by police is that it follows the devices through their advertising IDs, unique numbers assigned to each device. These numbers do not contain the name of the phone’s user, but can be traced to homes and workplaces to help police establish pattern-of-life analyses."

A goddamned fascist police-state.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

“The capability that it had for bringing up just anybody in an area whether they were in public or at home seemed to me to be a very clear violation of the Fourth Amendment,” said Davin Hall, a former crime data analysis supervisor for the Greensboro, North Carolina, Police Department. “I just feel angry and betrayed and lied to.”

Think the public doesn't?  ... Hear the rumble?  Due to an exponentially growing list of examples of abuse of power an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.

Heroically:

"Hall resigned in late 2020 after months of voicing concerns about the department’s use of Fog to police attorneys and the city council."

Indeed, Uncommon Valor.  Desperately needed at such perilous times.  As our formerly great country comes apart at the seams.

"While Greensboro officials acknowledged Fog’s use and initially defended it, the police department said it allowed its subscription to expire earlier this year because it didn’t “independently benefit investigations.”

Truly, think that's why?

"But federal, state and local police agencies around the U.S. continue to use Fog with very little public accountability. Local police agencies have been enticed by Fog’s affordable price: It can start as low as $7,500 a year. And some departments that license it have shared access with other nearby law enforcement agencies, the emails show."

The cancer grows unimpeded.

"Police departments also like how quickly they can access detailed location information from Fog. Geofence warrants, which tap into GPS and other sources to track a device, are accessed by obtaining such data from companies, like Google or Apple. This requires police to obtain a warrant and ask the tech companies for the specific data they want, which can take days or weeks. Using Fog’s data, which the company claims is anonymized, police can geofence an area or search by a specific device’s ad ID numbers, according to a user agreement obtained by AP. But, Fog maintains that “we have no way of linking signals back to a specific device or owner,” according to a sales representative who emailed the California Highway Patrol in 2018, after a lieutenant asked whether the tool could be legally used."

Trust these unprincipled bastards, who clearly do not believe in constitutional protections, vis a vis this outrageous abuse of power?

"You might know that your cellphone has a unique code that allows advertisers to target you for promotions. What you may not know: That same number could be helping police surveil you without a warrant."

Most convenient, isn't it, for these unprincipled, traitorous, treasonous nazi motherf--kers?  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Carefully, consider the following:

"Despite such privacy assurances, the records show that law enforcement can use Fog’s data as a clue to find identifying information. “There is no (personal information) linked to the (ad ID),” wrote a Missouri official about Fog in 2019. “But if we are good at what we do, we should be able to figure out the owner.” Fog’s Broderick said in an email that the company does not have access to people’s personal information, and draws from “commercially available data without restrictions to use,” from data brokers “that legitimately purchase data from apps in accordance with their legal agreements.” The company refused to share information about how many police agencies it works with."

Why not?  Why no transparency?  You don't want the public to know how widespread this cancer you line your pockets off has grown?

The following is deceptive and delusional:

“We are confident Law Enforcement has the responsible leadership, constraints, and political guidance at the municipal, state, and federal level to ensure that any law enforcement tool and method is appropriately used in accordance with the laws in their respective jurisdictions,” Broderick said."

... As you laugh your disingenuous ass off all the way to the bank?

Clearly, the Fourth Amendment is an inconvenient, unworkable hindrance to this shyster who has falsely sworn an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution and rule of law:

"Kevin Metcalf, a prosecutor in Washington County, Arkansas, said he has used Fog Reveal without a warrant, especially in “exigent circumstances.” In these cases, the law provides a warrant exemption when a crime-in-process endangers people or an officer. Metcalf also leads the National Child Protection Task Force, a nonprofit that combats child exploitation and trafficking. Fog is listed on its website as a task force sponsor and a company executive chairs the nonprofit’s board. Metcalf said Fog has been invaluable to cracking missing children cases and homicides. “We push the limits, but we do them in a way that we target the bad guys,” he said. “Time is of the essence in those situations. We can’t wait on the traditional search warrant route.”

Need to resign in disgrace, Counselor.  You abuse power, and worse, excuse it at the expense of privacy rights as guarantied by the Fourth Amendment.  You can't be trusted.  You're part of the growing cancer in our formerly great country.

"Cyphers, who led EFF’s public records work, said there hasn’t been any previous record of companies selling this kind of granular data directly to local law enforcement. “We’re seeing counties with less than 100,000 people where the sheriff is using this extremely high tech, extremely invasive, secretive surveillance tool to chase down local crime,” Cyphers said. One such customer is the sheriff’s office in rural Rockingham County, North Carolina, population 91,000 and just north of Greensboro, where Hall still lives. The county bought a one-year license for $9,000 last year and recently renewed it. “Rockingham County is tiny in terms of population. It never ceases to amaze me how small agencies will scoop up tools that they just absolutely don’t need, and nobody needs this one,” Hall said. Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Kevin Suthard confirmed the department recently renewed its license but declined to offer specifics about the use of Fog Reveal or how the office protects individuals’ rights. “Because it would then be less effective as criminals could be cognizant that we have the device and adjust their commission of the crimes accordingly. Make sense?” Suthard said."

Not to a nazi jackbooted bastard in blue who falsely swore to uphold the U.S. Constitution and rule of law.

"Fog’s tool is accessed through a web portal. Investigators can enter a crime scene’s coordinates into the database, which brings back search results showing a device’s Fog ID, which is based on its unique ad ID number. Police can see which device IDs were found near the location of the crime. Detectives or other officers can also search the location for IDs going forward from the time of the crime and back at least 180 days, according to the company’s user license agreement. But, Fog’s data can go back as far as June 2017, according to emails from a Fog representative to Florida and California law enforcement agencies. While the data does not directly identify who owns a device, the company often gives law enforcement information it needs to connect it to addresses and other clues that help detectives figure out people’s identities, according to company representatives’ emails. It is unclear how Fog makes these connections, but a company it refers to as its “data partner” called Venntel, Inc. has access to an even greater trove of users’ mobile data. Venntel is a large broker that has supplied location data to agencies such as Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the FBI. The Department of Homeland Security’s watchdog is currently investigating how U.S. border agents used Venntel data to track people’s locations inside the U.S. without a search warrant. The company also has faced congressional inquiries about privacy concerns tied to federal law enforcement agencies’ use of its data. Venntel and Fog work closely together to aid police detectives during investigations, emails show. Their marketing brochures are nearly identical, too, and Venntel staff has recommended Fog to law enforcement, according to the emails. Venntel said “the confidential nature of our business relationships” prevented it from responding to AP’s specific questions, and Fog would not comment on the relationship."

Without transparency, there can be no trust.  Fog Reveal is lining its pockets and law enforcement abusing power at the expense of privacy as guarantied by the Fourth Amendment.

More on this as the story develops.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Another unnecessary, unjustified shooting perpetrated by the jackbooted bastards in blue.  NBC News reports:

"Newly released body camera video shows that Los Angeles police was told by another officer that a man was not carrying a gun at the time he was shot. The video was released Thursday, more than a month after Jermaine Petit, who is Black, was shot and injured. The Los Angeles Police Department identified the officers who fired as Sgt. Brett Hayhoe and officer Daryl Glover. The shooting stemmed from 911 calls on July 18 reporting a man who was possibly armed with a handgun. In one call, a male caller tells the dispatcher that a Black transient man brandished a black handgun after the caller told the man to leave. "I got a dark-skinned guy with dreadlocks, he has a flannel shirt on. ... And I told him to leave and he pulled out a gun. It looked like a black semi-automatic gun," the caller says. "I told him to leave and he asked me, 'I'll leave when I want. You can leave.' And then all of a sudden I saw a pistol in his hand." In a second 911 call, a woman tells the dispatcher that she saw officers looking for the man and provides what street the man is on. The 911 calls and body camera footage were included in a YouTube video statement released by the Los Angeles Police Department."

Get this.  Consider it carefully:

"After spotting Petit walking down the sidewalk, two officers exit their vehicles with their guns drawn and order Petit to stop, the body camera videos show. "Hey, come here," one officer says. "Hey, take your hands out of your pocket, bro." In the video, Petit appears to point an object at the officers. As the officers continue to follow Petit, one says: "It’s not a gun, bro." "What is ... You said that’s not a gun?" the second officer responds, according to the footage. Seconds later, an officer yells for Petit to "drop it" and immediately afterward shots are fired by police. The footage shows Petit collapsing in the street. Kelly Muñiz, a police spokesperson, said that officers told Petit multiple times to stop walking."

That justifies his shooting?

"However, Petit refused to comply with the officers’ commands and instead continued to walk away," Muñiz said. As the officers followed Petit on foot, he turned toward them multiple times while pointing a black metallic object believed to be a firearm in their direction. Shortly thereafter a patrol sergeant, also believing Petit was armed with a handgun arrive at scene." Petit, still refusing to stop walking, then "turned toward the sergeant and pointed the same black metallic object at him resulting in an officer-involved shooting," according to Muñiz. The object Petit had was not a handgun and was a 6-inch black metallic latch actuator. The actuator, which is used on cars, was recovered at the scene, Muñiz said."

'A shoot first, ask questions later' jackbooted bastard in blue mentality.

"Petit, 39, was handcuffed at the scene and taken to the hospital in stable condition. He was later arrested on two outstanding felony warrants for resisting an officer and assault with a deadly weapon upon a police officer. On July 20, police asked a district attorney to charge Petit with two counts of brandishing a replica firearm. The case is still pending. Hayhoe and Glover could not be reached Friday at phone numbers listed for them. A spokesperson for the police union was not immediately available Friday."

Surprised?  If what these jackbooted bastards did was truly justified, why hide?

No justice.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Think the following indicative of good judgment and professionalism?  The Washington Post reports:

"Two Maryland police officers who berated and threatened a 5-year-old boy who had run off from school were suspended without pay, according to newly released police records of the encounter that went viral last spring and was condemned nationwide. The sanctions, details of which emerged as a separate lawsuit over the incident was settled for $275,000, came after a lengthy internal affairs investigation by the Montgomery County Police Department. In that probe, Officers Dionne Holliday and Kevin Christmon voiced both regrets and justifications for how they treated the East Silver Spring Elementary School student over the course of the 51-minute encounter."

Readers are reminded this is a 5-year-old kid.

“I really do think that my actions were appropriate at the time, because of the fact the child was acting noncompliant,” Christmon said when asked specifically about holding the child down in a chair for 80 seconds at his school."

Think so?  Gets worse.  Get this:

"Holliday told investigators that raising her voice at the child probably didn’t solve anything. She acknowledged telling the boy he should be beaten and calling him “a shepherd for the devil,” but asserted that’s how he was acting."

Delusionally believe you rose to the occasion?

"Their views of what transpired also played out during 18 months of separate, contentious litigation during which their attorneys criticized the boy and said it would be difficult to gauge what effect the incident had on him. “This child had a lot of problems before this event,” an attorney for the officers asserted in court this summer. Such claims, countered attorneys for the boy and his mother, trivialized what he was put through. Uniformed officers shouted in his face. One compared him to a “little beast” who should be placed in a crate. “Way past the line of emotional child abuse,” lawyers James Papirmeister and Matthew Bennett wrote in court filings. Their lawsuit, which had been set to go to trial Jan. 23, was instead settled, officials announced last week. Money received by the family will go into trust fund to which the child will have access when he turns 18. “Our client is glad to put this litigation behind her, and the police and school have finally been held accountable,” Papirmeister told The Washington Post on behalf of the child’s mother."

The officers received zero justice.  Should have been fired at the very least for their pathetic lack of judgment:

"Holliday, who was suspended for four weeks, declined to comment. Christmon, who was suspended for nearly two weeks, declined to comment through his attorney."

Here's the problem:

"Video of the incident burst around the country at a time of increased scrutiny over recorded police encounters. But most of those interactions involved adults, not a kindergartner. Among local officials, many called for enhanced police training in communicating with children in crisis. Others said the video spoke to something more fundamental: the need to address a child with patience, not threats and insults. “There’s just some common sense with that,” Montgomery County Council member Evan Glass said at the time."

That's right.  Requires proper officer training.

"The internal affairs investigation began shortly after the Jan. 14, 2020, encounter, when the boy’s mother filed a complaint and spoke with investigators. She recalled that the first night after the incident, at 3 a.m., her son awoke crying and said he had been convinced the officers were going to shoot him. The Washington Post received the internal affairs records related to the investigation recently based on a new Maryland law that allows departments to release certain records of alleged police misconduct. In response to a request from The Post, the department provided a 19-page summary of its probe and a brief description of the accusations and findings against the officers. Investigators studied Christmon’s body-camera video of the encounter and what precipitated it. They learned that shortly after lunch, inside his kindergarten class, the boy had grown upset and threw a clipboard at both a fellow student and his teacher. He then ran from the room, down a flight of stairs and fled the building. A school administrator spotted him running away — toward a congested section of Silver Spring — and police were called."

... As well they should have been.  It's what came next that is the problem.

"Christmon’s video opened with him pulling up to the boy as he hid behind a parked car about one block from the school. “Come here, buddy,” the officer said pleasantly, approaching him on foot and asking what he was doing. The child didn’t respond. Christmon’s tone went stern. “Look at me! Why are you out of school?” the officer asked, telling him he had to return. The boy didn’t budge. Christmon took his left arm and pulled him toward another uniformed officer and two marked patrol cars. “No, no, no, no, no,” the boy said, crying out for the first time. An assistant principal who arrived calmed him down. She and Christmon walked him to Christmon’s car. The officer lifted him into the back seat and buckled him in with a seat belt. “I don’t wanna to go,” he said, his voice shaking and coughing. “I don’t care!” the officer replied. “You don’t make that decision for yourself!”

Again, this is a 5-year-old kid.

"Holliday spoke to the child through an open door. “Does your momma spank you?” she asked, adding, “I’m going to ask her if I can do it.”

Jesus Christ.  Head, figuratively, up your clueless ass, Officer?

"In speaking with an internal affairs detective, Christmon described his initial interactions with the child, saying he “cried a lot but also seemed defiant and headstrong about not wanting to return to school.” The police video showed that after the group arrived at the school and into an office, the child balked about going farther or sitting in a chair."

Again, this is a 5-year-old kid.

“No,” he said. “No what?” Christmon told him, his voice rising. “Sit down! Sit down!” Christmon lifted him up and placed him into a chair. The boy suddenly started wailing again. Holliday leaned into his face and shouted: “Boy, I’m telling you: I hope your momma let me beat you!”

Spoken like a clueless jackbooted bastard in blue.

"An internal affairs detective interviewed Holliday, showing her parts of the video, and asked how close she was to the child. “Very close,” she said, “because he was screaming. So I need to get close so that he could hear me.”

What a crock of shit. The kid deaf?

"Holliday, who joined the force in 2001, said that she didn’t remember saying: “I hope your momma let me beat you. I swear to you, I’m gonna wear it out.”

Convenient loss of memory, Officer?

"Investigators asked what she meant. “More — more of just a threat. ... Get him to shut up,” Holliday answered."

Clueless.  Gets worse.  Far worse.  Get this:

"Shown another portion of the video, depicting her yelling in what court records described as “five primal screams” into his face, Holliday said she was trying to show him how it felt to be shouted at but acknowledged her actions “were probably not appropriate.”

You think?

"Christmon, who joined the force in 2017, said he’d raised his voice to counteract the boy doing so himself. “He was screaming and crying so loud no one could hear anyone in the room,” the officer said."

So you behave the same as the kid?  Where's your judgment?  Cluelessly, up your ass?

"Investigators asked him about a moment when the assistant principal held out a phone so the boy could speak with his mother. The child swatted toward the phone. “I wish you would!” Christmon had yelled at him as he held the boy down on a chair. “I wish you would slap that phone out of her hand!”

So you behave the same as the kid?  Where's your judgment?  Cluelessly, up your ass?  Like your partner?

"The officer told investigators he held the boy down to ensure he’d speak to his mother, but he said his method was probably not appropriate. Asked to repeat the answer, Christmon requested a break, and returned with a different answer: “I really do think that my actions were appropriate at the time, because of the fact that the child was acting noncompliant.”

Jesus Christ.  What a clueless piece of shit.  Hopelessly, ignorant.  Egregiously untrained to deal with such circumstances.  Pitiful.  Pathetic.

"When Christmon viewed video of the opening moments inside the assistant principal’s office, he expressed a broader regret. “Honestly, after looking at this, we should have dropped him off and left,” Christmon said. Internal affairs investigators also asked the officers about how they spoke about the child and possible punishments while sitting and standing only feet from him. “A crate. Crate him,” Holliday had said, laughing and adding: “You wanna act like a little beast.” Holliday told investigators that the boy wasn’t acting like a child should and was out of control. “She went on to say animals should be crated and she never said [the boy] should be crated,” the report states. Investigators also spoke to two educators who were in the office. Justine Pfeiffer, the assistant principal, complimented the officers for helping return the boy to school. “But it seemed like their tactics escalated the situation,” she said, according to the report. “I did not expect them to behave that way. ... I expected them to maybe speak firmly and not yell and say things that would help calm him down.”

Clear execution of a jackbooted mentality embraced by law enforcement nationwide.  Incredibly, sad.  Outrageously, counterproductive.

“He was definitely scared,” Pfeiffer said of the student. Debra Bezold, a reading specialist, said that as the boy slouched in his chair, one of the officers picked him up several times to make him sit up straight. “He was crying, he was upset, but they kept asking him to sit in the chair,” she said. “In my opinion, I don’t feel like — knowing this student — that that was the way to get to him. He was complying for him.” She said the officers’ behavior bothered her. “But I didn’t think it was my place to tell a police officer what to do,” Bezold said."

When the jackass is clearly behaving like an out of control jackass?

"Pfeiffer, who now holds a position in the school system’s central office, declined to comment through a school spokesman. Bezold, who has since retired, could not be reached for comment. When the boy’s mother arrived, having been called there by the school, the officers no longer yelled at the child but advocated she severely spank him. “We want you to beat him,” Holliday said, later adding, “All I can tell you is to beat that ass.”

Like jackbooted bastards in blue do to compliant suspects?  To get their cookies off abusing authority by beating the living shit out of them?

"Shown the video, the officer was asked if her language was professional. “No,” Holliday answered, “I could probably have worded that ... much better.”

No longer.

Uvalde update.  CBS News reports:

"Five officers with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) are under investigation for their response to the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde in which 19 students and two teachers were killed, the agency announced Tuesday. The announcement comes as Uvalde students returned to school for the first time since the attack. DPS said that it has referred the five officers to the state Office of Inspector General for a "formal investigation into their actions that day." Two of the five officers have already been suspended without pay while the investigation plays out, DPS said. The five officers were not identified."

Why not?  The public is entitled to this information.

"The agency Tuesday also released an internal employee memo that was sent in July by DPS Director Steven McCraw. In it, McCraw wrote that — in response to the Uvalde shooting — the agency had made an "addition" to what is known as the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERTT) doctrine, a program the state uses to train its officers on how to respond to active shooter situations. "DPS officers responding to an active shooter at a school will be authorized to overcome any delay to neutralizing an attacker," McCraw wrote in the memo to employees. "When a subject fires a weapon at a school he remains an active shooter until he is neutralized and is not to be treated as a 'barricaded subject.' We will provide proper training and guidelines for recognizing and overcoming poor command decisions at an active shooter scene."

More on this as the story develops.

In follow-up to last week's edition of this publication, NPR reports:

"Oklahoma's top education official wants to strip a former teacher of her credentials after she tried to give students access to books that may be banned in schools under a new state law. In a letter he tweeted on Wednesday, Oklahoma Secretary of Education Ryan Walters called on the state board of education to revoke the teaching certificate of Summer Boismier, a former teacher at Norman High School."

Egregious abrogation of the First Amendment by this hopelessly fascist official.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Readers will recall:

"Days earlier, Boismier resigned her position at the school following a complaint from a parent who suggested that Boismier had made political comments in the classroom. According to the Norman Transcript, Boismier put paper over her classroom bookshelves with the message, "Books the state doesn't want you to read," in response to HB 1775, a state law enacted in May that restricts what public school educators can say about race and gender. Boismier also posted a QR code that directed students to the Brooklyn Public Library's Books Unbanned project, which gives young people across the country access to books that may be outlawed in their schools. Republican-led states like Oklahoma are increasingly banning specific books or attempting to limit the discussion of topics such as race and sexuality in schools."

Raw nazism embraced by the nazi element in the Republican Party.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Boismier declined NPR's request for comment about Walters' call to revoke her teaching certificate."

Readers will also recall:

"She previously told Gothamist that posting the QR code for her 10th-grade students was an effort to allow them to read materials that were restricted by the state. "I saw this as an opportunity for my kids who were seeing their stories hidden to skirt that directive," she said. "Nowhere in my directives did it say we can't put a QR code on a wall."

Here comes the bullshit:

"Wes Moody, a spokesperson for Norman Public Schools, said the issue did not center around the QR code Boismier displayed in the classroom, but didn't specify what the issue was. A statement from the district alleged that Boismier made "personal political statements" and made a "political display" in the classroom. But Walters, in his letter, suggested that Boismier gave students access to "banned and pornographic" material – without giving specifics – and cited that as justification to revoke her teaching certificate. "There is no place for a teacher with a liberal political agenda in the classroom," he said, adding that officials must "ensure she doesn't go to another district and do the same thing."

What precisely is that, you disingenuous son of a bitch?  That is, tell the truth?  Expose your bullshit for what it is?

Outrageously gutless:

"Walters did not reply to NPR's request for an interview."

Clearly, no way to credibly defend the indefensible.

"Rob Crissinger, a spokesperson for the Oklahoma State Department of Education, told NPR that the department is not currently planning to file an application to revoke Boismier's teaching certificate. "There is a process in place, and we understand Norman is reviewing this matter at the local level at this time," Crissinger said. "Based on their review, we will proceed accordingly but there is no reason to speculate on anything regarding Norman Public Schools until their local review is concluded." Moody said Norman High School students never had access to pornographic material and added that the district had no response to Walters' letter. The district, in its statement about Boismier's resignation, said some colleagues shared her concerns about HB 1775. "Like many educators the teacher has concerns regarding censorship and book removal by the Oklahoma state legislature," the statement said. "However, as has always been our expectation, we want our classrooms to be places where ALL students feel welcome."

What a crock of shit.  Disingenuous double talk.  Expect better?  LOL.

"If Boismier were to face any discipline from the state board of education, she would be the first teacher to do so for violating HB 1775, according to NPR member station KOSU. Linda E. Johnson, president and CEO of Brooklyn Public Library, said in a statement to NPR that the library continued to support Boismier. "The democratic principles on which both our nation and public libraries were founded include the right of every individual to seek information from all points of view," Johnson said. "Brooklyn Public Library stands firmly with Summer Boismier and all who champion free expression, intellectual freedom, and the right to read."

Hat's off.  Indeed, Uncommon Valor.

More on the Trump Mar-a-Lago search.  NBC News reports:

"In addition to troves of information marked "secret" and "top secret," the FBI's search of former President Donald Trump's Florida home turned up over 10,000 U.S. government documents and photographs without classification markings, a newly unsealed Justice Department inventory of the seized items shows. The Justice Department court filing, filed under seal earlier this week but unsealed by a judge Friday, also shows investigators found more than 40 empty folders with "classified" banners on them at Mar-a-Lago. It's unclear what happened to the information that had been inside the folders. They also found almost four dozen empty folders marked "Return to Staff Secretary/Military Aide," according to the detailed property inventory. The government has not publicly indicated that it believes any classified documents are missing. In a court filing earlier this week, it noted that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence is leading a damage assessment of the documents removed from Mar-a-Lago, to determine the potential risk to national security that "improper storage of these highly sensitive materials may have caused" and identify "measures to rectify or mitigate" such damages."

Readers will recall:

"Trump's lawyers had complained that the initial property receipt the government had given them after the search — which showed that federal agents had removed 11 sets of classified documents, including some labeled secret and top secret — was too vague and didn't say which items were found where. The new version doesn't shed much more light on the documents that investigators found, but it does show that a large number of them were found inside boxes and containers inside Trump's "45 office" in the resort. The receipt said 17 documents marked "secret" were found in the office as well as seven marked "top secret." That's significant because Trump's attorneys had told investigators that all the records that had come from the White House were being kept in a Mar-a-Lago storage room, which agents had asked be kept secure, according to the government's court filings. That exchange happened in June, after the government subpoenaed Trump to turn over all documents with classification markings and Trump's lawyer assured them that they had."

Somebody lie?

"The Justice Department said the August search turned over "one hundred unique documents with classification markings," and the new property receipt indicates some were kept in a haphazard manner. One "box/container" in the storage room contained 21 documents marked "Secret" and 11 documents marked "Confidential" alongside newspaper clippings, a book and three "articles of clothing/gift items."

"Lawyers for the Justice Department said all the government documents that were retrieved belong to the White House, not Trump, and that he and his lawyers flouted a subpoena demanding the return of all documents with classification markings."

The Associated Press reports:

" FBI agents who searched former President Donald Trump’s Florida home last month found top secret records in an office and storage room, along with folders with classified banners but nothing inside and more than 10,000 other government records with no classification markings, according to a more detailed inventory of the seized material made public on Friday. The inventory compiled by the Justice Department reveals in general terms the contents of 33 boxes and containers taken from an office and a storage room at Mar-a-Lago during the Aug. 8 search. Though the inventory does not describe the content of the documents, it shows the extent to which classified information — including material at the top-secret level — was stashed in boxes at the home and mixed among newspapers, magazines, clothing and other personal items. It also makes clear for the first time the volume of unclassified government documents at the home even though presidential records were to have been turned over to the National Archives and Records Administration. The Archives had tried unsuccessfully for months to secure their return from Trump and then contacted the FBI after locating classified information in a batch of 15 boxes it received in January."

The screws are certainly tightening.  Pressure ratcheting up.

"The Justice Department has said there was no secure space at Mar-a-Lago for sensitive government secrets, and has opened a criminal investigation focused on their retention there and on what it says were efforts in the past several months to obstruct the probe. It is also investigating potential violations of a law that criminalizes the mutilation or concealment of government records, classified or not. Lawyers for Trump did not immediately return an email seeking comment Friday. Trump spokesman Taylor Budowich asserted that the FBI search was a “SMASH AND GRAB” — though the Justice Department had received court-authorized permission to search specific locations in the home. The inventory was released as the Justice Department undertakes its criminal investigation, as intelligence agencies assess any potential damage caused by mishandling of classified information and as a judge weighs whether to appoint a special master — essentially an outside legal expert — to review the records."

A delaying tactic sought by Trump and his henchmen.

"The inventory had been filed earlier under seal, but the Justice Department had said that given the “extraordinary circumstances,” it did not object to making it public. Trump himself has previously called for the disclosure of documents related to the search. U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon said on Thursday that she planned to unseal the inventory and did so on Friday. All told, the inventory shows, the FBI seized more than 100 documents with classification markings in August, including 18 marked top secret, 54 secret and 31 confidential. The FBI identified 184 documents marked as classified in 15 boxes recovered by the National Archives in January, and received additional classified documents during a June visit to Mar-a-Lago."

Most disturbing of all?

"The court filings have not offered an explanation for why Trump had kept the classified documents, and why he and his representatives did not give them when requested. The inventory shows that 43 empty folders with classified banners were taken from a box or container at the office, along with an additional 28 empty folders labeled as “Return to Staff Secretary” or military aide. Empty folders of that nature were also found in a storage closet. It is not clear from the inventory list what might have happened to any of the documents that apparently had been inside."

Still think Trump fit for office?

"Separately Friday, the Justice Department said in a court filing that it had reviewed the records seized during the recent search and had segregated those with classified markings to ensure that they were being stored according to proper protocol and procedure. “The seized materials will continue to be used to further the government’s investigation, and the investigative team will continue to use and evaluate the seized materials as it takes further investigative steps, such as through additional witness interviews and grand jury practice,” the department said. It added that “additional evidence pertaining to the seized items,” including the manner in which they were stored, “will inform the government’s investigation.”

Why did it take well over a year and a half to get to this point?  When his supporters who stormed the Capitol were quickly investigated, prosecuted, and sentenced?  Why special treatment accorded the Trump nazi?  Forget?  In a supposed democratic republic, no one is above the law.  From the bottom of the food chain to the very top.

Not all Republicans are part of the nazi element in the Republican Party.  Several have indeed stood tall.  Former Trump Attorney General William Barr is certainly one of them.  NBC News reports:

"The former attorney general, who once had a reputation as a Trump yes man, believes the search of his home was justified and voiced skepticism of Trump's defenses. Former Attorney General William Barr suggested Friday that the president who appointed him misled the Justice Department in its investigation of government records and classified documents Donald Trump stored at his Florida home after he left office. For 16 months, Trump tussled with the National Archives and Records Administration and then the Justice Department when the agencies tried to hasten the return of the records from his Mar-a-Lago home. The dispute reached a crisis point Aug. 8 when the FBI searched the residence and found more presidential records and sensitive documents — despite a Trump attorney signing an attestation in June that no more material remained there."

Think that attorney may have a problem?

“They jawboned for a year, they were deceived on the voluntary actions taken, they then went and got a subpoena, they were deceived on that — they feel,” Barr said in an interview on Fox News on Friday of the government's action in the case. “The facts are starting to show they were being jerked around, so how long do they wait?” Barr also sided with Justice Department in saying that the documents belonged to the government, not Trump. It’s unclear what was in the classified records taken by Trump or why he took them, and Barr said he couldn’t figure out what Trump’s motives were. “I can’t think of a legitimate reason why” the documents were taken, Barr said, swiping at Trump’s defenders who said that he could declassify records en masse by mere verbal or mental fiat. “I, frankly, am skeptical of this claim that 'I declassified everything,'” Barr said. “I think it’s highly improbable … if in fact he sort of stood over scores of boxes, not really knowing what was in them, and said, 'I hereby declassify everything in here.' That would be such an abuse, and — that shows such recklessness that it’s almost worse than taking the documents.” Barr said that Trump's motion for a special master to review the documents taken at Mar-a-Lago was a "red herring" and a "waste of time," adding that he believed the search warrant was justified because “for them to have taken things to the current point they probably have pretty good evidence, but that’s speculation.”

Think the following is anything more than desperate stonewalling, -- as the walls close in on the Trump nazi?

"But Trump lawyer Chris Kise said there needs to be an independent review of the information seized at Mar-a-Lago. "I do not at all think this would be a waste of time," Kise said. "A special master would help identify the real issues, place those issues in the proper context and perhaps most importantly, give the American people greater confidence in the integrity of the process."

We already know the 'real issues,' Counselor.  They're abundantly clear.  Your client was in personal possession of highly classified material.  Not to neglect to mention other presidential documents belonging to the American people by law, not the former president.  -- After leaving office.  Moreover, the only people questioning the 'integrity of the process' remain the nazi element in the Republican Party who have delusionally bought the bullshit of a congenital liar.

"Barr’s criticisms of his former boss are notable after earning a reputation as a loyalist in 2019 when he led the Justice Department and relied on a controversial memo to avoid charging Trump with obstructing justice following the Mueller investigation into Trump's ties to Russia."

Quite true.  Better late than never.  LOL.  Clearly, at least, he's beginning to see the light:

"Barr, however, did appear to side to a degree with Trump’s legal defense, which partly seeks to cast the controversy as a records dispute gone awry. “Given the fact this is a former president, given the state of the nation … and given the fact that the government has gotten its documents back — does it really make sense to bring a case as a matter of prudential judgment?” Barr asked. “And that’s a question that I think will turn on how clear the evidence of obstruction or deceit is,” he said. “If they clearly have the president moving stuff around, and hiding stuff in his desk, and telling people to dissemble with the government, they may be inclined to bring that case. And, you know, there’s going to be differences of opinion whether that makes sense. But we really have to know the facts to see, you know, to make a judgment about that. I hope it doesn’t happen.”

Nothing quite like the double talk of an attorney, is there?  LOL.

Gets worse.  Get this:

"Pointing to Barr's question about "prudential judgment," Kise said, "My answer would be no. we’re talking about an extraordinary step here: indicting a former president over the handling of information that he was fully entitled to access in the first place.”

Jesus Christ.  What a crock of disingenuous bullshit.  Wake up, Counselor.  The issue is not access.  It's personal possession of highly classified material and presidential documents belonging by law to the American people long after the former president left office.  Moreover, in a democratic republic, no one is above the law.  From the bottom of the food chain to the very top.

"According to the government, however, the issue at hand was that Trump was not lawfully in possession of the records, some of which needed to be stored in secure facilities because they were so highly classified."

Exponentially growing desperation by Trump and his stooges:

"Trump spokesperson Taylor Budowich accused Barr of drawing attention to himself for profit. “Bill Barr is desperately trying to salvage his underperforming book, and is willing to do or say anything that will get himself in front of a camera,” Budowich said."

Isn't that precisely what Trump and his stooges are doing?  LOL.  The hypocrisy, stunning.

"Barr began to politically distance himself from Trump after the 2020 election when he stated publicly that the former president had no basis for claiming that widespread voter fraud cost him a second term. Barr also criticized Trump in testimony before the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot."

Hard to believe there aren't many others in the Republican Party beginning to see the light.  That is, recognizing Trump for the congenital liar he is.

"Following the riot, Trump departed the White House for Mar-a-Lago and brought along loads of classified records and documents related to his presidency that the National Archives sought in 2021. After Trump surrendered some boxes of documents to the agency that had classified records, NARA notified the Justice Department, which opened a formal investigation, subpoenaed Trump and then received more records in June from the former president. Trump’s custodian of records at the time, Christina Bobb, signed an attestation guaranteeing that all responsive records had been given to the government, according to two sources with knowledge of the matter. But the Justice Department soon determined that wasn’t true, leading to the search warrant, according to legal filings made by the Justice Department. The attestation Bobb signed was drafted by another Trump attorney, Evan Corcoran, who remains on the former president's legal team but could leave the team if he becomes a witness in the case. Neither could be reached for comment."

Both appear to be in legal jeopardy.

The following is a serious problem:

"It’s unclear why Trump had the records, why he didn’t give them all back or why his representatives apparently misled the government. Trump's legal team has denied he lied about the records he possessed and instead described the imbroglio as a misunderstanding that went awry."

Clearly, that's nonsense.  Does not jive with reality from all that's transpired to date.

Gets worse.  More delusional and desperate:

“We’ve characterized it at times as an overdue-library-book scenario where there’s a dispute — not even a dispute — but ongoing negotiations with NARA that has suddenly been transformed into a criminal investigation,” Trump lawyer Jim Trusty said in court Thursday."

Again, clearly, does not jive with reality from all that's transpired to date.

"Barr on Friday said it’s a unique situation, but he faulted Trump for that — not the government. “I think the driver on this from the beginning was loads of classified information sitting in Mar-A-Lago,” Barr said. “People say this was unprecedented, well, it’s also unprecedented for a president to take all this classified information and put them in a country club.”

No question.  None of this makes sense.  None of it rational.

Yet, the 'judge' bought Trump's bullshit.  Think not?  Wake up.  The Associated Press reports:

"In a legal victory for former President Donald Trump, a federal judge on Monday granted his request for a special master to review documents seized by the FBI from his Florida home and also temporarily halted the Justice Department’s own use of the records for investigative purposes."

The 'judge' is in the pocket of Trump and his henchmen.  Forget?  A Trump appointee.  Anything to protect her fuhrer.  Sad, isn't it?  Will certainly delay the investigation.  -- An investigation of the kingpin already delayed more than a year and a half.

"The order came despite the strenuous objections of the Justice Department, which said a special master was not necessary in part because officials had already completed their review of potentially privileged documents. The department said it was reviewing the decision."

Here's the problem as clearly determined and deliberately imposed by a 'judge' with an agenda:

"The order almost certainly slows the pace of the department’s investigation into the presence of top-secret information at Mar-a-Lago, particularly given the judge’s directive that the Justice Department may not for the moment use any of the seized materials as part of its investigation into the storage of government secrets at the Florida property. That injunction is in place until the yet-to-be-named special master completes his or her work, “or further court order.”

Disingenuous bullshit, abject, clearly intended double talk:

“The Court is mindful that restraints on criminal prosecutions are disfavored, but finds that these unprecedented circumstances call for a brief pause to allow for neutral, third-party review to ensure a just process with adequate safeguards,” Cannon, a Trump appointee, wrote in her 24-page order."

Anything at all to stall, delay, obfuscate quick prosecution at the very top of the food chain.  In a supposed democratic republic, justice applies equally to all from the bottom of the food chain to the highest pinnacles of power.  Clearly, not so in our formerly great country.  To date, Trump has been protected and coddled.  Not so his supporters who stormed the Capitol.  Indeed, nazi justice.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Even so, it is not clear that the decision will have a significant effect on long-term investigative or charging decisions or the ultimate outcome of the probe. A separate assessment by the U.S. intelligence community of the risk posed by the apparent mishandling of classified records will continue under the judge’s order. “While this is a victory for the former President, it is by no means an overwhelming win for him,” David Weinstein, a Florida criminal defense lawyer and former Justice Department prosecutor, said in an email. “While it is a setback for the government, it is also not a devastating loss for them.”

What it does is give the Trump nazi additional time to radicalize his henchmen in the Republican Party, provide his sick sycophants additional motivation to mobilize.

"Justice Department spokesman Anthony Coley said Monday that “the United States is examining the opinion and will consider appropriate next steps in the ongoing litigation.”

The following is disingenuous bullshit embraced by a 'judge' beholden to her fuhrer:

"Cannon, who was nominated to the bench by Trump in 2020, had signaled in a brief order last month that she was inclined to appoint a special master and did so again during arguments last week, asking at one point, “Ultimately, what is the harm in the appointment of a special master to sort through these issues without creating undo delay?”

Truly believe the public buys your bullshit, 'Judge?'  -- Not surprisingly, a Trump appointee.  Without question, delay is clearly your intention.  As you protect and coddle your fuhrer, the Trump nazi, in return.  Proud of yourself?

NBC News reports:

"A judge's order approving a special master to review documents the FBI took from former President Donald Trump's Florida home is a deeply flawed and unworkable mess, legal experts told NBC News on Tuesday. U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon on Monday granted Trump’s request to have a special master review all the evidence seized last month from his Mar-a-Lago estate and temporarily blocked parts of the Justice Department’s investigation into the trove of top secret and classified documents retrieved by federal agents. Cannon, 41, a Trump appointee, also put forth legal defense arguments that Trump's team hadn't made, among them that the former president could suffer reputational "injury" if the Justice Department indicted him."

'Judge' bought and paid for?

"Legal experts blasted the overall ruling and questioned how it could be implemented, while warning that an appeal by the government could drag the investigation out further. “I think it’s a corrupt decision. I think it is a special law just for Donald Trump by a Trump appointee, and it is unmoored from precedent, insupportable in law, will not be approved of by anybody who isn’t a Trump fanatic,” said Paul Rosenzweig, a Department of Homeland Security official under former President George W. Bush. “It is supremely disappointing, because up until now … the courts have been the last bulwark against excess, and this decision suggests that at least some of Trump’s judges put loyalty to the man over loyalty to the rule of law, and that’s deeply unfortunate,” said Rosenzweig, who was senior counsel to Ken Starr, the independent counsel who investigated President Bill Clinton. Bradley Moss, a lawyer who specializes in national security issues, said that Cannon's decision is “not well-founded in any law or legal theory” and that it included “far better advocacy for the former president’s legal position than anything his actual lawyers put forward.”

Fascinating, isn't it?  Think we haven't lost our country?

“My view is that, at a minimum, the Justice Department is going to have to appeal” the part of the order that temporarily stops the Justice Department from using the seized documents to proceed with its criminal investigation, Moss said. But, he cautioned, an appeal is no easy path. The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which would hear any appeal in this case, "has taken a particular conservative turn, and the U.S. Supreme Court is 6-3 in favor the conservatives,” Moss said. “It’s not a foregone conclusion they’d win on appeal.” Brandon Van Grack, a former counterespionage prosecutor who worked on special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, said there “would be a strong impulse to appeal,” especially because the criminal investigation by the Justice Department and the damage assessment by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence are likely going hand in hand and “can’t be bifurcated.”

Get this:

"Part of Cannon's order gave the Office of the Director of National Intelligence permission to continue its review of documents for a damage assessment, a process the Justice Department has been playing a role in. “The criminal investigation is informing the intelligence investigation,” Van Grack said, adding that Justice Department investigators had likely been doing fingerprint searches on the classified documents to determine who handled them — a key step in determining how much they might have circulated. Cannon's ruling could also block investigators from asking witnesses about who had access to the documents. “It will delay and impair the investigation,” Van Grack said. “They won’t have complete information.”

... As intended by Trump and his bought and paid for 'judge?'

"Legal experts also took issue with Cannon’s saying the special master should review the documents for potential executive privilege claims, instead of limiting the examination to traditional attorney-client issues. Trump's team has argued that a special master — essentially a neutral third party appointed by the court — was necessary because they couldn’t rely on the so-called filter team the Justice Department used to separate out privileged documents, saying they couldn’t be expected to "trust the self-restraint of currently unchecked investigators."

Jesus Christ.  What a crock of shit by the increasingly desperate Trump nazi and his henchmen.

"The Justice Department contends executive privilege isn’t up for debate, because the seized documents don’t belong to Trump. “He is no longer the president. And because he’s no longer the president, he had no right to those documents," Justice Department lawyer Jay Bratt told the judge at a hearing last week. Rosenzweig agreed, calling it "absurd" that a special master should be searching out potential executive privilege issues. "I don't think there is a good road map," Rosenzweig said, noting there's no body of law on executive privilege for a special master. "I don't know how a special master would proceed, which means inevitable delay and dispute," he said."

... As intended by Trump and his bought and paid for 'judge?'

"Before becoming a federal judge, Cannon worked as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of Florida, focusing on criminal cases in the appellate division that included money laundering, child pornography and Fourth Amendment rights, according to her judicial nomination questionnaire. Cannon, who graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 2007, had no prior experience as a judge, but fit the profile of Trump's nominees: young and with ties to the Federalist Society, a conservative legal organization. During the Senate confirmation process, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., asked Cannon in written questions whether she had "any discussions with anyone — including, but not limited to, individuals at the White House, at the Justice Department, or any outside groups — about loyalty to President Trump?" Cannon replied: "No."

Believe it?

"She was confirmed by the Senate just after the November 2020 election in a bipartisan 56-21 vote. Feinstein was among the dozen Democrats who voted in her favor."

Huge mistake.

"But since the high-profile ruling in the biggest case yet of Cannon's judicial career, even some of Trump's former allies bashed her legal arguments. “The opinion, I think, was wrong, and I think the government should appeal it. It’s deeply flawed in a number of ways,” former Attorney General William Barr said in an interview with Fox News. "I don’t think the appointment of a special master is going to hold up. And even if it does, I don’t see it fundamentally changing the trajectory. I don’t think it changes the ballgame so much as maybe we’ll have a rain delay for a couple of innings,” Barr said. Barr said the 11th Circuit could expedite the appeal, but he acknowledged "it could take several months to straighten out.” NBC News legal analyst Chuck Rosenberg, a former U.S. attorney, said: “There seems to be a trade-off between appealing a poorly reasoned judicial decision on one hand and further delaying a part of their investigation on the other. In the end, the government will very likely get to which it is entitled — one way or the other — but the path forward looks a bit murky.”

... As intended by Trump and his bought and paid for 'judge?'

The Washington Post reports:

"A document describing a foreign government’s military defenses, including its nuclear capabilities, was found by FBI agents who searched former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence and private club last month, according to people familiar with the matter, underscoring concerns among U.S. intelligence officials about classified material stashed in the Florida property. Some of the seized documents detail top-secret U.S. operations so closely guarded that many senior national security officials are kept in the dark about them. Only the president, some members of his Cabinet or a near-Cabinet-level official could authorize other government officials to know details of these special-access programs, according to people familiar with the search, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe sensitive details of an ongoing investigation. Documents about such highly classified operations require special clearances on a need-to-know basis, not just top-secret clearance. Some special-access programs can have as few as a couple dozen government personnel authorized to know of an operation’s existence. Records that deal with such programs are kept under lock and key, almost always in a secure compartmented information facility, with a designated control officer to keep careful tabs on their location. But such documents were stored at Mar-a-Lago, with uncertain security, more than 18 months after Trump left the White House. After months of trying, according to government court filings, the FBI has recovered more than 300 classified documents from Mar-a-Lago this year: 184 in a set of 15 boxes sent to the National Archives and Records Administration in January, 38 more handed over by a Trump lawyer to investigators in June, and more than 100 additional documents unearthed in a court-approved search on Aug. 8. It was in this last batch of government secrets, the people familiar with the matter said, that the information about a foreign government’s nuclear-defense readiness was found. These people did not identify the foreign government in question, say where at Mar-a-Lago the document was found or offer additional details about one of the Justice Department’s most sensitive national security investigations."

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

More abuse of power by the Florida governor.  NBC News reports:

"DeSantis' election police charged 20 with voter fraud. Advocates say there's more to the story. They blamed what they describe as a confusing process that makes it difficult for either the suspects or election officials to tell whether they’re eligible to vote."

Nothing quite like disingenuous bullshit intended to obfuscate and reinforce the national socialist agenda of a Republican nazi.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Last month, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the first charges stemming from a newly formed election police unit he helped to create in the state. But in the weeks since then, complicating information has emerged that could make it harder for the state to obtain convictions, advocates and at least one prominent Republican official said."

Surprised?

"Voting rights advocates are blaming what they describe as a confusing process that makes it difficult for either the suspects or election officials to tell whether they're eligible to vote. All 20 individuals had been previously incarcerated on convictions of murder or felony sexual offenses — which prohibits them from voting in Florida — and had cast ballots illegally in the 2020 election, DeSantis said at the news conference in August announcing the charges. Under Florida law, while many felons can regain their right to vote under a constitutional amendment enacted via a ballot initiative in 2018, those convicted of the most violent offenses, such as murder and rape, cannot. “This is just the opening salvo,” DeSantis, who is widely believed to be considering a run for president in 2024, said at the news conference. “Before we proposed this [new office] there were examples of this stuff seeming to fall through the cracks.”

Crock of shit courtesy of a nazi governor deliberately distorting reality to impose his fascist ideology:

"Advocates claim those arrested did not know they were breaking the law — and that in many cases government officials had sent them voter registration materials. Many have now urged those arrested to fight the charges. They have also raised questions about whether the new police force is the best way to fix a broken system and decried the lack of a central database that could help officials avoid superfluous criminal charges. “It’s clear that nobody notified them" that they were ineligible to vote. "They sent them voter registration cards, that’s the exact opposite of intent to break the law, they essentially cleared them,” said Republican state Sen. Jeff Brandes, the architect of a separate, 2019 law that made it more difficult for ex-felons to vote, in an interview."

That, from a fellow Republican, not a Democrat.  LOL.  Must have irritated the living shit out of the Governor.  LOL.

“That makes it incredibly difficult to prove intent,” Brandes added. “The state’s attorneys are going to have a very difficult time proving they did this intentionally,” he said. Brandes predicted the charges would eventually be dropped. Under Florida law, to convict individuals of voter fraud, the state must prove that they intentionally and knowingly registered to vote — or voted — despite knowing that they were ineligible to do so. “I just don’t know how you prove intent to break the law for someone who thought they were eligible to vote because they received a state-sanctioned voter registration card,” said Neil Volz, the deputy director of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, which is helping many of those arrested to find attorneys and pay for bail."

Here's the truth ignored by the nazi element in the Republican Party:

"Incidents of voter fraud are incredibly rare in the U.S., and past and present investigations by law enforcement agencies around the country have struggled to find more than a handful of cases amid the millions of ballots cast in America."

Time for the nazi element in the Republican Party to finally wake up:

"DeSantis signed a bill in April that formally created a police force dedicated to hunting down voter fraud and other election crimes — a top priority for Republicans amid continuing false claims by former President Donald Trump that the 2020 election was stolen from him."

Raw nazism.  Delusional and un-American.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Then in August DeSantis announced the first arrests made by that force, revealing at a news conference that the Office of Election Crimes and Security would be charging 20 individuals who had been previously convicted of murder or felony sexually offenses. Florida’s 2018 amendment ended a permanent ban on voting for felons, except for those convicted of murder and felony sexual offenses. That restoration, however, also excluded convicted criminals who hadn’t completed “all terms” of their sentencing. In 2019, Florida lawmakers — led by Brandes — enacted a law that included within those terms the paying of all court fees and fines. Brandes and Volz said that the years since had created a labyrinth of records regarding who is and is not eligible to vote in the state, which they said is a central factor in why many of the individuals arrested believed or simply didn’t know if their voting rights had been restored. They and other voting rights advocates point out that the state never created a central database that could be used to efficiently cross-check and determine which people who had gone through the criminal justice system could and could not vote."

Why not, 'Governor?'

Get this:

"Of the 18 individuals officials said had so far been arrested on the charges, many have said they received a voter registration card from a county election supervisor’s office and believed they were eligible to vote, while some said they’d returned registration cards merely to determine whether they were eligible to vote, according to court documents reviewed by NBC News and reporting by the Miami Herald and other outlets."

The nazi 'governor' can't, won't be confused by the truth.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

More bullshit intended to obfuscate:

"In a lengthy email, a spokesman for the Florida Department of State — of which the Office of Election Crimes and Security is a part — indicated that the obligation to determine whether a felon was eligible to vote fell on the individual."

How does one do that when the government deliberately obfuscates and stonewalls?

"The spokesman, Mark Ard, described a convoluted and often time-consuming process by which various state agencies check with one another in determining voter eligibility for felons and suggested that the individuals broke the law when they simply returned registration materials, even though the materials in many cases were sent to the individuals by election officials."

How about that?  Leading to convenient prosecution of individuals who had no intention of breaking election law:

“Felons who had not had their rights restored submitted a voter registration application (which is in itself a felony) and subsequently voted,” Ard said. Ard also said that county election supervisors — among the officials who sent such materials — had the authority to take action to remove a voter from the statewide voter registration system. “Nothing prohibits a supervisor of elections from acting independently from the Department to gather this information,” he said. “These individuals lied when they registered to vote. They were never eligible and there is no confusion on that point. We are confident that when all the facts and evidence are revealed through the legal process, the reasons these individuals were arrested will be clear,” Ard said."

The above?  Double talk.  Disingenuous bullshit embraced by a nazi with an agenda.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"A spokesperson for DeSantis did not respond to questions from NBC News about the issue."

Surprised?  Why?  Not possible to credibly defend the indefensible.

"The director of the election crimes office, Peter Antonacci, however, sent a letter to county elections supervisors in the state saying they hadn’t done anything wrong, Politico reported this week. NBC News has not obtained the letter. Brandes and Volz say the state is to blame, even though the materials were sent by local election officials. “At the end of the day, the state is responsible for determining voter eligibility for people on the state’s voter rolls,” Volz said. He also said he’d be “surprised if the charges stick.” Volz, whose group is working with many of the individuals charged, said that no one — either from a county election supervisor’s office or from the state — had notified any of the arrested individuals that they were ineligible to vote. “There’s no evidence that occurred,” he said."

Goddamned outrageous.

"Moving forward, Volz and Brandes say the Florida Department of State should create well-maintained databases of Floridians convicted of murder or felony sexual offenses, as well as convicts who still owe money for court fees, and update the voter rolls accordingly."

That's right.  No question.

“County election supervisors don’t have the resources or access to multiple databases that would allow them to make that kind of determination,” Brandes said."

Why not?  If voter fraud was truly a problem, the nazi element in the Republican Party would be providing the funding.  They're not.  What does that tell you?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

While Democrats have failed to effectively challenge the Trump nazi and his henchmen, there remains no greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the nazi element in the Republican Party.  The following is highly indicative of precisely why.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

The Associated Press reports:

"Hundreds of thousands of people signed petitions this year backing proposed ballot initiatives to expand voting access, ensure abortion rights and legalize recreational marijuana in Arizona, Arkansas and Michigan. Yet voters might not get a say because Republican officials or judges have blocked the proposals from the November elections, citing flawed wording, procedural shortcomings or insufficient petition signatures. At the same time, Republican lawmakers in Arkansas and Arizona have placed constitutional amendments on the ballot proposing to make it harder to approve citizen initiatives in the future.  The Republican pushback against the initiative process is part of a several-year trend that gained steam as Democratic-aligned groups have increasingly used petitions to force public votes on issues that Republican-led legislatures have opposed. In reliably Republican Missouri, for example, voters have approved initiatives to expand Medicaid, raise the minimum wage and legalize medical marijuana. An initiative seeking to allow recreational pot is facing a court challenge from an anti-drug activist aiming to knock it off the November ballot. Some Democrats contend Republicans are subverting the will of the people by making the ballot initiative process more difficult. “What is happening now is just a web of technicalities to thwart the process in states where voters are using the people’s tool to make an immediate positive change in their lives,” said Chris Melody Fields Figueredo, executive director of the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center, which has worked with progressive groups sponsoring the blocked initiatives. “That is not the way our democracy should work,” she added."

Sadly, currently, a democratic republic in name only.

"Republicans who have thrown up hurdles to initiative petitions contend they are protecting the integrity of the lawmaking process against well-funded interest groups trying to bend state policies in their favor."

Isn't that precisely what the nazi element in the Republican Party is doing in state legislatures all across our formerly country including at the federal level in Washington, DC?  The hypocrisy?  Stunning.

The following is bullshit:

“I think the Legislature is a much purer way to get things done and it represents the people much better, rather than having this jungle where you just throw it on the ballot,” said South Dakota state Rep. Tim Goodwin, who has perennially targeted the initiative process with restrictions."

Legislatures, including Congress, are bought and paid for by the business community and the top of the food chain.  Rep. Goodwin is clearly hopelessly ignorant of this fact.

-- Sadly, such ignorance is but one reason of an exponentially growing list of precisely why an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Think we don't have a serious problem as our formerly great country continues to move Nazi Right?  The Associated Press reports:

"The names of hundreds of U.S. law enforcement officers, elected officials and military members appear on the leaked membership rolls of a far-right extremist group that’s accused of playing a key role in the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, according to a report released Wednesday. The Anti-Defamation League Center on Extremism pored over more than 38,000 names on leaked Oath Keepers membership lists and identified more than 370 people it believes currently work in law enforcement agencies — including as police chiefs and sheriffs — and more than 100 people who are currently members of the military. It also identified more than 80 people who were running for or served in public office as of early August. The membership information was compiled into a database published by the transparency collective Distributed Denial of Secrets. The data raises fresh concerns about the presence of extremists in law enforcement and the military who are tasked with enforcing laws and protecting the U.S. It’s especially problematic for public servants to be associated with extremists at a time when lies about the 2020 election are fueling threats of violence against lawmakers and institutions. “Even for those who claimed to have left the organization when it began to employ more aggressive tactics in 2014, it is important to remember that the Oath Keepers have espoused extremism since their founding, and this fact was not enough to deter these individuals from signing up,” the report says. Appearing in the Oath Keepers’ database doesn’t prove that a person was ever an active member of the group or shares its ideology. Some people on the list contacted by The Associated Press said they were briefly members years ago and are no longer affiliated with the group. Some said they were never dues-paying members."

Comforted by that?

"The Oath Keepers, founded in 2009 by Stewart Rhodes, is a loosely organized conspiracy theory-fueled group that recruits current and former military, police and first responders. It asks its members to vow to defend the Constitution “against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” promotes the belief that the federal government is out to strip citizens of their civil liberties and paints its followers as defenders against tyranny."

Buy the bullshit?  Despite the following?

"More than two dozen people associated with the Oath Keepers — including Rhodes — have been charged in connection with the Jan. 6 attack. Rhodes and four other Oath Keeper members or associates are heading to trial this month on seditious conspiracy charges for what prosecutors have described as a weekslong plot to keep then-President Donald Trump in power. Rhodes and the other Oath Keepers say that they are innocent and that there was no plan to attack the Capitol."

Time to wake up.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
