Getting online has gotten increasingly difficult and expensive last four months.  Worse, access is outside since most establishments are closed or limited to drive-thru operations.  Lap tops are not designed to be used in such an environment.  Extremely difficult to see the screen.  Time for the readership to step up and provide assistance.  TC 7-24-20

In response to the pandemic, government quickly imposed draconian restrictions making access to public wifi exceptionally difficult.  Consequently, editions of this publication will be briefer and posted as regularly as possible until circumstances change.  TC 3-20-20

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable.  Time to step up.  Now.

Brother dearest.  ... Been awhile, hasn't it, Bro?  A little antsy?  Wondering when the next shoe is about to fall, that is, when you'll be fully exposed for the thieving son of a bitch you truly are?  Patience.  All in good time, good buddy.  When I'm damned good and ready.  Timing just right.  After all, a son of a bitch who's stolen his father's estate needs to be fully exposed publicly for whom and what he is, don't you think?  Indeed, a public service for your neighbors, professional associates, family, and friends, etc..

Conveniently, forget?  Others need to protect themselves against a fraud who masquerades as both a teacher and a counselor, no?  -- How the hell did you ever pass an MMPI some forty years ago to get hired?  You're not stable.  Have not been.  ... Must have really been pissed off at the old man to rip off an estate, no?  How much did you steal while he was alive and supposedly under your care?

How much did you bribe law enforcement to ignore a complaint I filed with them years before the old man died?  How much did you bribe the prosecutor to ignore a complaint filed with her several years ago?  How much?  Use the old man's money to bribe the bitch?  Her cohorts?  Your law enforcement shysters?  While there may indeed be no justice from a corrupt system, fortunately, I do have a way to publicly expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.

... Unlike our grandmother who scrubbed floors on her hands and knees during the Depression for peanuts, only to have what little she had stolen by her son, our uncle, another goddamned thieving son of a bitch just like you.  Remember how, surprise, surprise, there was no life insurance when our grandfather died?  Despite the fact our grandmother gave her thieving bastard son premium money year after goddamned year?  Only, as the thieving son of a bitch he truly was, to have pocketed it.  Again, just like you.

Remember when he booted her out of the house she had bought him when he had had enough of her?  -- Despite the fact he had lied and promised she could stay the rest of her life?  She had to climb two flights of stairs on an ulcerated leg to get to a bathroom he had never built for her at ground level as falsely promised.   Nothing ever happened to the thieving son of a bitch as far as justice was concerned.  Worse, he was never exposed publicly for the thieving son of a bitch he truly was.

Will be different for you, Bro.  While you've bought off authorities, you will be publicly exposed.  In great detail.  In good time.  When I'm damned good and ready.  When exposure will do the maximum figurative damage to your goddamned sordid reputation.  -- Just the truth, brother dearest, however.  Just the truth.

Irony of ironies?  When the thieving son of a bitch died, and our mother was finally informed he had passed, she cried for her brother, -- the bastard thief who stole from her mother.  Sad, isn't it?  Too bad she's not still alive to see you publicly exposed for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you, yourself, truly are.  As was he.  Not in a court of law you've bought off, however.  Right here.

In good time.  Again, when I'm damned good and ready.  Employing the very same tactics used against Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo.  -- On steroids, however, since all dirty family laundry will be aired.  All of it.  No threat.  A promise.  Emails sent to your neighbors, friends, professional associates, businesses you deal with.  Although an enormous amount of work, all doable courtesy of the Internet.  Despite being some 1,800 miles away.  -- Small world, isn't it, Bro?  Enjoy the stolen loot, you son of a bitch.  Forget?  It's all you have.

Brother dearest.  Save all the check stubs from the old man's accounts?  Fraudulently sign any of them yourself?  Think this material couldn't be obtained from the banks either through discovery or a criminal investigation?  Still own the house on Condict Rd.?   Any other properties besides this one and the old man's you stole with the help of your shyster bastard? Be interesting to see how far your assets extend and where.  Think all that information isn't accessible?  That I won't determinedly obtain it?

That not only an extensive Internet search will be conducted that will likely take months to complete?  But an extensive background check as well?  Think the Catholic high school you attended shouldn't be informed of the thievery of one of its graduates?  Think the clerics there would be appalled at their failure to teach you right from wrong?  How about both universities?  Think neighbors in the old man's neighborhood won't be informed of your deception?  Think they don't have a right to know?

Ever follow the advice of Dr. Bert Wiser, psychological statistics professor at MSU?  That is, get treatment for your achingly debilitating instability?  Is that why you wound up looting the old man?  Or, is it simply a convenient excuse you'll use to defend the indefensible?  Think this will end any time soon?  That is, public exposure of you as a thieving son of a bitch?  We're just getting started, Bro.  Just getting started.

Don't like it?  Tough shit.  Sue me you thieving son of a bitch.  Would use discovery to learn and post on this website all there is to know about you, your activities, predilections, business 'deals,' as well as all your financial transactions, etc..  All of it.  Would certainly avoid the expense of an extensive background check on you, thieving brother dearest.

Even if you were successful in court, there is nothing for you to take, this remains, as well, a homesteading state where minimal assets are protected anyway.  This site is hosted in an overseas country that doesn't particularly like government intrusion, remains not prone to cooperate.  Besides, can always upload to another webhost in still yet another country.  The possibilities are endless, Bro.  Just takes willingness, effort, unshakable determination.

Even if I lost it all would be more than worth it to expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.  Even if you bribed a goddamned nazi 'judge' to remove posted material, would not cooperate and be more than willing to rot in jail.  Would certainly keep reposting it all no matter the cost and/or personal consequences every time it was taken down.  Forget, you thieving son of a bitch?  I never ever give up.

Since all I seek is your exposure for the thief you truly are, would all be worth it.  For the sake of principle.  All the work, financial cost, as well as the time I am about to dedicate to this effort, you deceptive, unstable, sick, thieving son of a bitch.  Unlike you, I live on principle and have absolutely nothing to lose.  You do.  Will certainly take great pleasure and satisfaction in doing all I can to publicly expose you for whom and what you are.

To say nothing of placing enormous pressure on prosecutors you and your equally corrupt shyster son of a bitch apparently bribed.  Don't like it?  Again, tough shit. Chew harder.  The public needs to know to protect itself.  From you and your shyster bastard.  People who live and travel in your circles as well.  Including his.  As a thief, you and he can't be trusted by anyone.  You'll determinedly f--k them.

More than willing to provide this truly public service.  People certainly need to know whom and what you are.  What you have sadly become.  You certainly weren't brought up to be a thieving son of a bitch.  What happened?  Where did you lose yourself, Bro?  -- Never mind.  ... Truly doesn't matter.  Only your exposure.

TC 4-22-16

Hey, Bro?  Remember me?  How soon they conveniently forget.  ... Half asleep? -- Out to lunch?  ... In your own perverse little world?  That of a criminal?  Wake up.  Conveniently, gutlessly forget?  Insanely believe you're someway, somehow off the hook?  Think again.  We're not done.  You remain a thief who will be exposed for whom and what your are.  What you certainly have become.  No question about that.  Patience, you thieving son of a bitch.  Exposure is coming.  Promise.

Think I don't have time?  Truly believe the ongoing Presidential fiasco ends no matter who wins?  The murderous decay in law enforcement gets resolved any time soon?  Criminal Wells Fargo employees from local Kingsland bank manager Amanda S. Wright right up to and including CEO John Stumpf get prosecuted in the near future despite egregious criminal activity?  Wouldn't hold my breath, would you?

Think I don't have time to handle all this and your public exposure for the estate-stealing criminal son of a bitch you've truly become?  How could you steal from the old bastard, you incredibly sad sack of shit?  Certainly weren't brought up to be a thief.  What happened to you?  Where'd you lose yourself?

No question, 2017 will be a most remarkable, defining year for you, Bro.  Public exposure for the thieving piece of shit you've sadly become.  It's on the way. Promise.  Hope you sue.  Nothing for you to take.  Tough, isn't it?  Certainly, makes me judgment proof.  Will certainly, as well, take advantage of discovery.  Publish every detail I can get my hands on.  No matter the consequences.  Only consideration?  Prime directive?  Your exposure for whom and what you are.

Readers?  This not-so-brotherly piece of shit stole from our father.  Manipulated the old man to line his pockets.  Just like our uncle on my mother's side of the family did to my grandmother.  Runs in the family.  Our family.   ... Right, Bro?  This game now gets played my way, -- not yours, you son of a bitch.  That is, no more U.S. Mail tag.

Anything sent by mail will be refused, returned unopened.  Want contact?  Email.  libertyinperil@riseup.net.  Quick.  Easy.  Better yet?  A digital record.  Permanent.  Easily accessible.  Easily uploaded to this site when and if it becomes necessary.  The shyster bastard you hired to steal the estate shouldn't expect escape, either, from public exposure as the thieving piece of shit he, like you, truly both are.  Unscrupulous thieves.

Sincerely hope that piece of crap sues as well.  Nothing to take.  Discovery again would be published no matter the personal cost.  Nothing quite like public exposure, is there?  Especially, when it is nothing but the truth and there is absolutely nothing to lose exposing two pieces of criminal shit for whom and what they are.  Two pieces of gutless human excrement who looted an old man.  ... Right, Bro?

There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers.  Glaring sunlight.  Dazzling brilliance.  Amazing how the roaches run for cover.  Equally pointedly, how vermin on two legs manage to so easily prey on the elderly courtesy of the out of control fascist police-state we now live in.  While there'll never be any justice vis a vis this theft, there will be exposure to the brilliant light of day for both criminal perpetrators.  Count on it, you not-so-brotherly criminal son of a bitch.

TC 10-7-16

Hey, Bro?  Hear of Old Sturbridge Village?  Haven't?  ... Not lying, are you, you thieving son of a bitch?  You and your long-term companion EC conspire, bequeath some of the old man's loot to this museum?  An achingly stingy gift of $250-$499, -- considering the size of the estate?  The CEO and Board have any idea you stole it?  Think they'd care?  -- Just getting started, dearest, dearest Bro.  ... Delusionally believe I haven't more than enough time, resources, determination to expose you for the thieving piece of crap you truly are?  ... Under $500 back in 2013?  Remarkably parsimonious with stolen money aren't you?   What does it feel like to have gutlessly ripped off an incompetent old man?  -- Dear old Dad.  Certainly, look forward to digging much deeper into how you and your shyster lawyer managed to bamboozle and loot the old bastard.  Back in the day, certainly wouldn't have fallen for your bullshit.  Would have kicked your worthless, thieving ass out the door.  Intend to expose it to the light of day.  Indeed, a public service. Seatbelts on, you thieving son of a bitch. Tally ho!

TC 3-24-17

... Brief aside, dear readers, for a most exceptional reason.  -- Although infrequent, pressing ongoing personal business must come first on rare occasion.  Hope you agree, moreover, find it entertaining, -- as this writer did crafting what follows.  Principle trumps all.  Remains prime mover, prime directive no matter what.

This pressing issue involves a family thief. A heartless predator preying on the elderly who must be held accountable, exposed to the light of day.  Especially, since authorities failed to do their job.  The following is part of that continuing effort to expose this piece of shit for whom and what he is:

Hey, Bro?  Guess what?  Me, again.  Most determined pain in the ass.  Miss me?  An inconvenient, nagging hemorrhoid that simply won't go away no matter what.  -- A pile with a smile that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

... Delusionally think this most persistent nemesis of yours conveniently disappeared to parts unknown, vanished in thin air? To give a turd a break?  Wake up.  Not a chance, you thieving son of a bitch.  ... When you insanely believe this writer's gone and you're finally in the clear, guess what, here I am, right in your face.

Despite what's going on across our formerly great country, always have more than enough time for personal business.  That is, exposing you, Bro, to the glaring light of day.  A pathetically greedy predator.  Your target, who else, the elderly.  Most defenseless, vulnerable, an easy fleece.  -- Thought you'd steal from the surly old curmudgeon with impunity, no consequences?

Successfully escape accountability? Avoid detection, all responsibility?  Blatant theft of an old man's estate?  A little help from a bought and paid for hopelessly greedy unprincipled shyster?  Supposed cake walk due to 1800 miles separation?  No one to hold you accountable?  Your feet to the fire?  What could you possibly been thinking?

You've read this publication before.  Know precisely who and what I am, what I do.  Never give up.  Never say die.  Ignore all obstacles.  Know full well Liberty In Peril modus operandi remains as relentlessly ferocious, blindingly intense as ever.

No punches pulled.  No slack.  No personal consideration.  Certainly, not for a gutless son of a bitch, no more than a thieving predator.  Looted target, guess who, dear old dad.  Pitiful.  Delusionally believe you had the booty coming?  An entitlement?  For having had to put up with his shit all those years?  Wake up.

Hear of Historic Deerfield?  Of course, you have, you lying son of a bitch.  Forget?  You're one of their not-so-generous 'benefactors.'  ... With all the money stolen from our father's estate, only bequeath them a piss poor $40 bucks?

Unbelievable.  An achingly tight, cheap, thieving, worthless piece of duplicitous crap.  ... Write-off?  Negligible.  ... Feather  in the cap?  How?  Delusionally believe your treachery would never see the light of day?  What planet do you live on?

Board of Trustees Chair Anne K. Groves know full well you looted the estate?  How about President Philip Zea?  Think both don't have a right to know?  How about Anne Lanning, Vice President For Museum Affairs?  To say nothing of Susan Martinelli, Vice President For Business Affairs?

These officials are entitled to know precisely whom they're doing business with.  A thief.  Gutless phony.  Blow-hard fraud.  Hoity-toity dandy.  Worse?  An unprincipled thief who stole from his father.  ... Glaring light of day sucks, doesn't it, Bro?  No escaping the unvarnished truth, this most bitter reality.  Not a chance.

Saddest of all?  Back in the day, Hell would have frozen over before anyone would have have been able to rip off the craggy old bastard.  Remember quite well how intent, determined he was not to be fleeced late in life by a sick son of a bitch like you.

A leech.  Ironic, isn't it?  Gutless rip off of an old man who couldn't adequately handle his affairs any longer.  How do you sleep nights?

Fraud runs in the family, clearly.  History repeating itself.  Right in the footsteps of our grandmother's son, who callously ripped off his mother decades ago.  Again, another achingly pathetic piece of human excrement.  Just like you.  Intend to lay it bare.  Methodically.  Painstakingly. In great detail.  Living, breathing color.

For all to see.  A public service.  Exposure of the criminal piece of human excrement you truly are.  For sustained public review.  A goddamned thief.  Pissed? Chagrined?  Nonplused?  Tough shit.  Sue.  Would certainly immediately post all discovery no matter the consequences.

All snail mail will be returned unopened.  No phone tag.  Got something to say? Email.  Say it right here.  On this website.  In public.  For the world to see.  Will be posted in its entirety.  No editing.  Unlike you, this writer doesn't lie, cheat, steal.  Honors his word.  Intend to expose you precisely for whom and what you are.

Duplicitous predator who preyed on his own father.  Blinding exposure to benefit the community.  Have nothing to lose providing this public service, but you do.  No better disinfectant than sunshine.

.. Think the old bastard not spinning in his grave?  -- Old lady not doing the same?  One thing for certain.  Neither brought you up to be a goddamned thief.  Yet, here we are.  ... Until next time, Tally Ho!

5-25-18

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Tim Chorney, Publisher
Liberty In Peril

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Two hundred eighty four weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Small sampling of what's to come in this edition.  Read on.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Two hundred eighty four weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Two hundred eighty four weeks.   Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

7-3-20

Last three months been getting online at the Kingsland HEB.  Met quite a few readers at the picnic table.  -- People I didn't personally know, but who came up and introduced themselves.  Certainly, grateful for your concern, caring, and moral support.  One of the Front End managers, Kevin, had granted permission to plug in and access HEB Customer wifi at the picnic table some three months ago.  Someone in County government must have subsequently complained. Three months after the fact.  LOL.  Finally got the boot 6-27-20 from the achingly gutless Store Manager who couldn't, or wouldn't stand up to pressure from this asshole.

Pathetic, isn't it?  LOL.  Certainly, knew it was coming.  Hard to believe it took three months.  LOL.  Apparently, the gutless Store Manager, Monty, sent out the second in command, Dan, to deliver the happy news.  Spoke to him awhile, but sadly as expected, he had nothing substantive to say.  Other than, "leave."  LOL.  Advised him to send out the clearly reluctant Store Manager who apparently wanted to avoid the encounter.  Finally, came out.  Imagine that.

Asked the Store Manager, Monty Young, for a business card.  Remarkably, he had none.  Couldn't be, could it?  LOL.  An HEB Store Manager with no business card?  How is that possible?  Unlimited corporate greed?  Aryan arrogance of a privately-owned corporation?  Or, was he simply lying?  Informed him he'd indeed be front and center in this next edition.

Before getting into specific detail vis a vis my conversation with the Store Manager, it must be stated staff at the Kingsland HEB is second to none.  Have known many of them for years.  Work extremely well together as a team.  Certainly, exceptionally customer-friendly.  The problem with this store is not staff.  Not even the Store Manager and Assistant Manager per se, -- who apparently, despite their denials, had been pressured by someone.  It's the HEB corporate management suite at the root of most of the problems at this store.

The following salient issues were discussed with the Store Manager before I left.  -- Interestingly, none of which he denied.  LOL.  Readers, have you noticed cheaper generic products are either continually out of stock or discontinued?  Especially, after the store changed its product line weeks before the pandemic.  Apparently, in an effort to emulate the Marble Falls store that caters to the Horseshoe Bay elite.

New larger shopping carts were brought in to the Kingsland store so shoppers would supposedly buy more product, increase store sales.  Shelves are restocked 24 hrs.  Staff was unhappy because aisles are too narrow for the larger carts.  Makes it harder to stock shelves when the store is open.  Not only that, makes it much more difficult for shoppers to navigate the narrow aisles.

Product pricing has steeply increased.  They accomplish this both by directly raising prices, as well as in engaging in deception, that is, downsizing product.  One recent glaring example is their generic bleach.  For awhile, it was unavailable, out of stock.  Then, it was downsized from three quarts to two.  Price remained at $1.  A 33% increase.  Done deceptively.  At a time when inflation is supposedly non-existent.  What ever happened to the HCF quart and a half ice cream that sold for $1.99?  Long since gone.  Both aforementioned products had already been downsized once before.  LOL.  List can go on and on.  Unbridled corporate greed.

As I reminded the Store Manager, Kingsland residents, for the most part, are poor, young, elderly, and/or disabled, etc.  This store now caters to the rich who live on the lake and Sunrise Beach.  Not sustainable.  ... Especially, if the shit finally hits the fan vis a vis the Trump nazi, and/or a second shutdown occurs courtesy of the raging, poorly-handled, achingly mismanaged pandemic.

To store employees, all of whom I admire, consider personal friends, courageously provide your ongoing grievances to this publication.  I will publish them while protecting your identity.  If you won't stand up, nothing changes.

As I informed the Store Manager, the problem in Kingsland is the fact HEB has no substantive competition.  What is desperately needed is a Walmart or other major corporation to rattle the cage of local HEB management as well as the corporate management suite.  Until that occurs, nothing changes, shit happens.  ... Right, Monty?  Dan?

In the last two and a half weeks or so, three middle-aged women tripped and fell on the curb by the picnic table.  Third time, 6-26-20.  Took the Store Manager and Assistant Manager quite some time to exit the store and arrive with ice to quell the swelling of the woman who had fallen hard on her face.  I subsequently asked Monty to consider painting the curb iridescent red or orange to avoid injury and a future lawsuit.

Responded couldn't be painted red since it wasn't a fire zone.  Could certainly be painted orange or some other bright color.  If management doesn't care about a lawsuit, where is its concern for the pain and suffering if a customer trips, falls, and suffers serious injury?  ... Couldn't care less, Monty?  -- Or, is it, shortsightedly, insurance will indeed take care of it?  Wake up.  Just a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured and sues the living shit out of HEB.  Even if HEB prevails in court, it loses.  Consider the cost of bad publicity.

To the credit of management, both the Store Manager and Assistant Manager return carts to the front of the store, sanitize them, and pick up trash.  Recently, associates informed me the Store Manager wasn't happy about the performance of the Assistant Store Manager.  LOL.  Apparently, ole' Dan got too good at hiding in the store, shirking cart and other duties, etc.  LOL.  That's apparently changed.  ... Trouble in paradise, boys?  LOL.  Itching to retire, Dan?  LOL.  Give me a break.  Never a dull moment, -- at customer and staff expense.

Finally, to the motherf--ker in County government who likely complained, don't flatter yourself.  Three months?  What took so long you gutless piece of shit?  LOL.  No matter what, Liberty In Peril will remain up and running.  Despite the fact it's been more than 21 years, just the very beginning.  Far more to come.  Far more County corruption, malfeasance, criminal activity to be followed up, and/or exposed.  LOL.  ... Bribed by Johnny Greene, Madam County Attorney?

Readers are advised there is a sticker on the back of the power supply stating:  "Please remove this sticker."  It cannot be easily removed.  Will not peel off.  Have hesitated to scrape it off since doing so might obliterate anything underneath it, -- if anything.  It is not covering a vent and there is no technical reason that it be removed.  Certainly, did not affect operation of the supply for the last year and four months I've had the machine.

Despite the fact our formerly great country continues to come apart at the seams, it's amazing what the human animal is capable of when the decision to work together is selflessly made.  Seatbelts onThe Washington Post reports:

"Todd Van Guilder knew he was in trouble the second he flew off his bike during a ride along the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Trails in central Minnesota. He sat up to brush himself off and saw white spots in his vision, he said. When he closed his eyes and reopened them, the spots turned to a solid wall of bright white light. “My buddy who had been riding in front of me came back and asked, ‘Are you okay?’” recalled Van Guilder, a regular mountain biker who lives in Eagan, Minn., near the Twin Cities. He and his friend were visiting the 50-mile mountain biking park in the woods on Sept. 12 for some adventure and exercise, he said. “I was wearing a helmet, but when I took the fall on my bike, I landed really hard on my stomach and chest,” Van Guilder said. “I could hear where my buddy was, but I couldn’t see him. I told him, ‘I think I have a bit of a problem.’” Van Guilder didn’t realize how big the problem was. About 30 minutes later, as he lay in the woods, he would need an emergency tracheotomy — a surgery to make a lifesaving airway in his neck. After his friend called 911, paramedics arrived on the scene and saw that he was having difficulty breathing, he said. The six medics realized that they needed a tank of oxygen from the ambulance in the parking lot, which was three-quarters of a mile down the trail. They asked aloud whether someone would run down and retrieve it before the situation became more dire, Van Guilder said. A police officer on the scene volunteered, and jogged back down the trail."

Get this:

"It was a lucky moment. Just then, Jesse Coenen, an emergency room doctor from Hayward, Wis., passed the officer running down the trail. Coenen, 38, was visiting the trails that Sunday afternoon to pedal off stress from working 13-hour days in the ER. When Coenen learned that the officer was racing to fetch an oxygen tank, he and his friend offered to help. They hurried down the trail on their bikes, asked the ambulance driver for the oxygen tank, then pedaled it back to the scene. By this time, Van Guilder was unconscious and the members of the medical crew said they were preparing to intubate him — insert a tube in his throat — to make it easier for him to breathe with a manual resuscitator, also called a bag valve mask, Coenen said. He said he took in the situation for about 30 seconds, then told the EMTs that he was a doctor. “I quickly realized this was a serious situation,” said Coenen, who works at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital. “They told me that the guy had fallen off his bike and that a helicopter had been dispatched. They were helping him to breathe, but it was necessary to make sure that his breathing was adequate.” After several attempts by Coenen to guide an intubation tube down Van Guilder’s throat failed because he was unable to see the windpipe, the medics tried to clear saliva away with a portable suction device. That also failed, Coenen said, and he knew there was only one option left to deliver air to Van Guilder’s lungs and save his life: an emergency tracheotomy. “His oxygen level had started to drop, and I was getting concerned,” the doctor said. “I figured he might have anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes before he died. That’s when I decided to enter the windpipe through the neck.” Coenen asked the EMTs if they had any tools he could use. One of them rummaged through a bag and produced a scalpel, while another removed her antiseptic gloves, turned them inside out and handed them to him, he said. “Cutting somebody’s neck like this is a rare procedure, even for a doctor,” Coenen said. “I’d done it before on mannequins and a pig cadaver, and I knew by heart how to do it. I’d just hoped I would never have to.” He made a two-incision cut beneath Van Guilder’s Adam’s apple, he said."

Situation increasingly desperate:

“The paramedic was prepared with the tube in her hand and it didn’t fit, so I had to make the incision wider,” he said. “I figured that he had maybe just a few minutes before his heart stopped, so I was relieved when it finally worked and the tube fit.” It was a success — the tube was put into place, allowing a paramedic to manually deliver oxygen through the bag valve mask. Once Van Guilder’s oxygen levels had risen, paramedics were able to carefully transport him down the trail to the parking lot using a one-wheeled, flat medical gurney similar to a wheelbarrow, Coenen said. “I have to say that I wasn’t optimistic he would live when they took him away in the helicopter,” Coenen said. “His condition had deteriorated, and I was concerned he might have a brain bleed.” But at the hospital, after doctors gave him stitches to close up the incisions in his neck and treated him for a traumatic brain injury, Van Guilder rallied. He was monitored for 10 days before he was released to go home on Sept. 22 to his wife and teenage daughter. “Miraculously, I had no broken bones,” Van Guilder said. “They don’t know what caused the white spots in my vision or exactly why I couldn’t breathe. But they believe it could be related to the trauma of falling.” Other than a scar from the tracheotomy, Van Guilder said, he went home with nothing more than a scab on his right arm and some minor road rash on his left knee. He is on a soft-food diet for a while, but once his throat is healed, he’d like to take Coenen out to dinner, he said. “I talked to him on a Zoom call and told him how grateful I am that he happened to be there that day at that precise moment,” Van Guilder said. “I’m obviously extremely fortunate. What are the odds?” Coenen said he’s happy that he chose that trail to ride on that weekend. He was able to finish his ride that afternoon and was relieved when he learned that Van Guilder had survived his ordeal. “It all fell into place in multiple parts,” he said. “The paramedics and first responders were absolutely crucial. If they hadn’t had a scalpel, I don’t know what would have happened.” “I stumbled onto the scene,” he said. “It’s a lesson to us all that you never know who you’re going to encounter.”

Amazing what homo sapiens is capable of when the decision is made to work together.

No longer.

Egregious excessive force.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"Three Miami Beach police officers are now facing felony charges related to the rough arrests of two Black men at a South Beach hotel, prosecutors said Thursday. The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office had originally charged five officers in August with misdemeanor battery charges. On Thursday, State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle announced the upgraded charges for Officer Kevin Perez and Sgt. Jose Perez, who are now charged with third-degree felony battery, and Officer Javier Serrano, who is now charged with official misconduct, which is a third-degree felony. In addition, Serrano and officers Robert Sabater and David Rivas still face misdemeanor battery charges, officials said."

Think law enforcement will ever smarten up?

"She said the charges will be brought before a judge next week. “All aspects of this July 26th police incident are taken very seriously by my prosecutors,” Rundle said in the news release. “The investigation has been and will be as thorough and complete as possible since our entire community has been shocked and offended by what we have seen.” Surveillance video from the incident shows an officer chase Dalonta Crudup, 24, into the lobby of the Royal Palm Hotel in South Beach in the early morning hours of July 26. The officer orders Crudup onto the ground at gunpoint, and Crudup complies. Moments later, more than a dozen other officers run into the lobby and surround Crudup, who can be seen on the ground with his hands behind his back. Body camera footage shows officers kick a handcuffed Crudup multiple times. Previously, Fernandez Rundle said the video also shows Khalid Vaughn, 28, using a cellphone to record Crudup’s arrest from about 12 feet (4 meters) away. The footage shows Vaughn backing away at the instruction of an officer when Sabater tackles Vaughn to the floor and repeatedly punches him. Prosecutors said Rivas and Serrano also struck Vaughn.  Crudup didn't sign a waiver that allowed prosecutors to review his medical records until Aug. 25, so they weren't able to view documents regarding his injuries until Sept. 13. Fernandez Rundle said “a deeper understanding of the actual injuries was necessary to file these felony battery charges." Crudup was initially charged with battery and aggravated assault on a law-enforcement officer. The charges were later reduced, and he is now awaiting trial on counts of fleeing and eluding police, and reckless driving. Charges against Vaughn of resisting an arrest with violence and impeding a police investigation have been dropped."

Imagine that.

No longer.

In follow-up to a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, The Associated Press reports:

"A former Louisiana State Police trooper has been charged with a civil rights violation for pummeling a Black motorist 18 times with a flashlight — the first criminal case to emerge from federal investigations into troopers’ beatings of at least three Black men. A grand jury on Thursday indicted Jacob Brown for the 2019 beating following a traffic stop that left Aaron Larry Bowman with a broken jaw, broken ribs and a gash to his head. Brown was charged with one count of deprivation of rights under color of law, federal prosecutors said. Brown’s indictment comes as the federal prosecutors on the case are scrutinizing other troopers who punched, stunned and dragged another Black motorist, Ronald Greene, before he died in their custody on a rural roadside. The probe of Greene’s 2019 death has grown to examine whether police brass obstructed justice to protect the troopers who beat the Black motorist after a high-speed chase. Body camera video of both beatings, which took place less than three weeks and 20 miles (32 kilometers) apart, remained under wraps before the AP obtained and published them this year. They are among a dozen cases over the past decade in which an AP investigation found troopers or their bosses ignored or concealed evidence of beatings, deflected blame and impeded efforts to root out misconduct. “The department has previously acknowledged that it has open and ongoing criminal investigations into incidents involving the Louisiana State Police that resulted in death or bodily injury to arrestees,” the U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement. “Those investigations remain ongoing.”

Despite and/or in spite of all the foot dragging?

"Brown’s attorney, Scott Wolleson, declined to comment. A state police spokesman did not immediately respond to a text message requesting comment but previously released a statement saying Brown “engaged in excessive and unjustifiable actions and failed to report the use of force to his supervisors.” Bowman’s attorney, Donecia Banks-Miley, called the indictment “a sigh of relief.” “We’re just trying to remain hopeful and trust the process of justice,” she told The Associated Press. “Aaron is extremely happy and he just wants full justice.”

Readers will recall:

"On the May night Bowman was pulled over for a traffic violation, Brown came upon the scene after deputies had forcibly removed Bowman from his vehicle and taken him to the ground. The trooper later told investigators he “was in the area and was trying to get involved.”

The jackbooted bastard sure did:

"Video and police records show he beat Bowman 18 times with a flashlight in 24 seconds after deputies pulled him over for a traffic violation near his Monroe home. Brown later said Bowman had struck a deputy and the blows were “pain compliance” intended to get Bowman into handcuffs. Bowman, 46, denied hitting anyone and is not seen on the video being violent with officers. He still faces a list of charges, including battery of a police officer, resisting an officer and the traffic violation for which he was initially stopped, improper lane usage. Brown, 31, failed to report his use of force and mislabeled his body-camera footage in what investigators described in internal records as “an intentional attempt to hide the video.” State police didn’t investigate the attack until 536 days later, and only did so after a lawsuit from Bowman."

Nazi justice in a de facto fascist police-state.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Get this:

"Jacob Brown was perhaps the Louisiana State Police’s most prolifically violent trooper in recent years. Records show he tallied 23 uses of force dating to 2015 — 19 on Black people — and he faces state charges in Bowman’s case and two other violent arrests of Black motorists. Brown is the son of Bob Brown, a longtime trooper who oversaw statewide criminal investigations and, before retiring, was the agency’s chief of staff. The Louisiana State Police’s own tally shows that in recent years 67% of its uses of force were against Black people. That figure has fueled mounting calls from civil rights groups and Black leaders for the U.S. Justice Department to go beyond individual prosecutions and launch a “pattern and practice” probe into potential racial profiling by the agency. Col. Lamar Davis, the head of the state police, said earlier this month that he would welcome such a probe if the department deems it necessary but that he wants the opportunity to correct the department’s issues and is already working to do so."

All talk.  No action.  Appears to be protecting his own.  Talking out both sides his ass.

No longer.

More of the same.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"A man who was paralyzed when an Iowa police officer shot him in April filed a lawsuit Thursday contending the use of force was excessive and has been shrouded by secrecy."

Why no transparency?  How can law enforcement be trusted?

"Authorities say the Waterloo police officer shot Marcelino Alvarez-Victoriano on April 7 after he pointed a pellet gun that looked like a shotgun at two Black Hawk County sheriff’s deputies. But the lawsuit filed by Alvarez-Victoriano, 44, questions the official narrative and notes that few details have been released months after the shooting."

That's a problem.  A big problem.  No transparency.  No trust.

Gets worse.  Get this:

"Authorities have not identified the officers involved, released body camera footage or reports related to the shooting, or determined whether the shooting was legally justified."

Why not?  Why are they covering up for the officers?

“There has been no transparency and accountability. That’s a problem,” said attorney Molly Hamilton, who filed the suit against Officer “John Doe,” and the city of Waterloo on behalf of Alvarez-Victoriano. Black Hawk County Attorney Brian Williams said Thursday that he was still reviewing whether the officer acted appropriately or should face charges. Williams said he would also forward his findings to the attorney general's office for a potential second review. “We want to be very careful and make sure we have everything, we see everything and we read everything,” he said."

Crock of shit.  Called stalling.  Protecting their own no matter what they do or don't do:

"Waterloo Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald said the officer has been cleared internally, citing video that he said shows the shooting was appropriate."

If that's the case, why hasn't the video and/or all evidence been released in support of your assertion, Chief?

Insult to injury?  More outrageous f--ked up bullshit:

"Alvarez-Victoriano was charged in April with misdemeanors for allegedly threatening deputies during the encounter. In an unusual twist, investigators have declined to arrest him since his July 10 release from the hospital due to the care his paralysis would require. “The jail is simply not equipped to handle him right now,” said Williams, who added that he was also reviewing whether to pursue those charges. Alvarez-Victoriano is paralyzed from the waist down with a spinal cord injury, unable to work and relying on friends for care and housing, Hamilton said. A bullet remains lodged in his back."

Shot in the back by a jackbooted bastard in blue.  Gutless piece of shit.  Release the video, Chief.  Let the public who pays your salary and that of your goons decide who the hell is telling the truth.

Readers, think there isn't a problem here?  Get this:

"The lawsuit comes as Waterloo has faced upheaval in recent months as Fitzgerald takes steps to reform a department that has struggled with allegations of excessive force and tensions with persons of color. The lawsuit alleges Waterloo has been aware for years that it has “deficient policies and practices” surrounding the use of force but failed to fix them. The confrontation began after someone saw Alvarez-Victoriano walking near downtown Waterloo at 12:45 a.m. with what appeared to be a rifle or shotgun and called police. Alvarez-Victoriano, who worked as a maintenance man, was out for a walk and mourning the recent deaths of his parents in Mexico, Hamilton said. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation says Alvarez-Victoriano pointed the weapon at a Black Hawk County sheriff’s deputy who responded to the call and that he chased the deputy, causing him to retreat to his patrol vehicle to take cover and draw his weapon. A second deputy arrived and tried to ram Alvarez-Victoriano with his squad car, but Alvarez-Victoriano got out of the way, according to the DCI. He then advanced toward that vehicle with the weapon before pursuing the first deputy, refusing calls to drop what turned out to be an air gun, the DCI says. Within seconds of arriving, a Waterloo officer fired at him multiple times, striking him in the back, hand and foot, Hamilton said. The lawsuit alleges the shooting was excessive force that violated Alvarez-Victoriano's constitutional rights. Hamilton questioned why the review is taking so long, noting that other police shootings in Iowa have been ruled justified within a matter of days or weeks. “I can’t imagine it happening the way they say it happened," she said."

Release all video and other evidence, Chief.  Let the public decide for itself who's telling the truth and who's lying like hell, and/or distorting reality.  The truth always needs to be the bottom line.  No matter what that truth happens to be.  Whether it's in favor of law enforcement or not.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Another murder perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Never ends.  The Washington Post reports:

"A D.C. police officer was indicted Friday on murder and obstruction charges stemming from the death of Karon Hylton, a moped driver who collided with a vehicle while trying to elude police in an incident that roiled his neighborhood in Northwest Washington and put law enforcement tactics under renewed scrutiny. Terence Sutton, 37, a 12-year veteran of the police force, was indicted on one count of second-degree murder, obstruction of justice and conspiracy. A police supervisor, Lt. Andrew Zabavsky, 53, was also charged with obstruction of justice and conspiracy. The indictment alleges the two officers conspired to cover up an unauthorized pursuit and delayed in reporting the seriousness of Hylton’s injuries to supervisors. Criminal charges have rarely been filed against on-duty police officers involved in deaths in the District. The case came after some residents and members of the D.C. Council complained the investigation had lingered too long without resolution."

Called stonewalling.  Protecting their own.  Justice?  What's that?

"The charges come 11 months after the crash that killed 20-year-old Hylton. Police at the time said Sutton and other officers pursued Hylton the night of Oct. 23, 2020, after they spotted him riding a moped on the sidewalk and without a helmet. In the days following the young man’s death, police and demonstrators clashed outside the 4th District police station on Georgia Avenue. Sutton, who worked in a specialized crime suppression unit, has been on suspended duty since the fatal crash in the 700 block of Kennedy Street in Brightwood Park. On the night of the Friday crash, Sutton, with three other officers in his cruiser, tried to stop Hylton, who was on a Revel Electric moped. Videos from two D.C. police body-worn cameras show a police cruiser closely following the moped moments before Hylton left an alley and collided with a van. After the crash, Sutton left the cruiser and yelled “Karon,” indicating he had prior interactions with Hylton. Then-D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham said investigators were trying to determine whether the officers in the vehicle were chasing the moped, which could be a violation of rules prohibiting pursuits for traffic violations. At a community meeting shortly after the incident, Newsham said, “Images we see out there suggest there was a police pursuit.” The indictment provides new details about the pursuit and for the first time contends that Zabavsky joined Sutton in trying to stop Hylton’s moped, at one point briefly taking over as the lead chase vehicle. Prosecutors said in the indictment that the pursuit went 10 blocks. They alleged that Sutton was at times traveling more than double the residential speed limit, went the wrong way on one-way streets and went through several stop signs. The indictment says Sutton and Zabavsky kept each other apprised of their locations on a closed police radio channel that was not accessible to a dispatcher responsible for coordinating authorized pursuits. After the crash, the indictment says, neither officer immediately notified the department’s major-crash unit, which is responsible for investigating serious traffic collisions, or immediately notified superiors about Hylton’s medical condition. Prosecutors said that 20 minutes after the crash, and while still at the scene, Sutton and Zabavsky turned off their body-worn cameras “and conferred privately.” Later at the station, the indictment says, “they provided a misleading account of the incident.” It says Sutton denied pursuing Hylton and that Zabavsky “withheld all information about his involvement in the incident.” Prosecutors said that delayed a proper investigation. Patrice Sulton, executive director of D.C. Justice Lab and a member of the D.C. Police Reform Commission, which has recommended sweeping changes in policing in the District, said she thinks improper police pursuits are a problem in the city and that more needs to be done to ensure officers are following the rules. “I don’t think this will fix the problem,” she said."

Time to prosecute the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Raw nazism courtesy of the jackbooted bastards in the FBI.  The Washington Post reports:

"When the FBI seizes your messages from Big Tech, you may not know it for years."

How about that?  Goddamned fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.

"At first, Ryan Lackey thought the email was a scam. It arrived one morning in March, bearing news that Facebook had received an order from the Federal Bureau of Investigation to turn over data from personal accounts Lackey uses to chat with friends and exchange cat photos. Even weirder, the email said Facebook had been forced to keep this intrusion secret. Six months later, Lackey, a computer security consultant in Puerto Rico, still has no idea what Facebook turned over to an FBI investigation that he believes may have started as early as 2019. “My online life, at least half of it touches Facebook in some way,” said Lackey, 42."

Get this:

"Every year, Facebook, Google and other technology companies receive hundreds of thousands of orders from law enforcement agencies seeking data people stash online: private messages, photos, search histories, calendar items — a potentially rich trove for criminal investigators. Often, those requests are accompanied by secrecy orders, also known as nondisclosure or gag orders, that require the tech companies to keep their customers in the dark, potentially for years. Concern about the practice spiked this summer after journalists at The Washington Post and the New York Times learned that the Trump Justice Department had secretly subpoenaed their email account data in an effort to identify the source of classified leaks early in President Donald Trump’s term. Federal prosecutors also targeted Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee, their aides and even family members. But those requests were just a tiny fraction of the orders prosecutors secure annually to stealthily snoop through the data of ordinary users like Lackey. In the last six months of 2020, Facebook received 61,262 government requests for user data in the United States, said spokesman Andy Stone. Most — 69 percent — came with secrecy orders. Meanwhile, Microsoft has received between 2,400 and 3,500 secrecy orders from federal law enforcement each year since 2016 — or seven to 10 per day — according to congressional testimony by vice president of customer security and trust Tom Burt. Google and Apple declined to disclose the number of gag orders they’ve received. But in the first half of 2020, Google said U.S. law enforcement made 39,536 requests for information about 84,662 accounts — with many of the requests targeting multiple accounts. Apple said it received 11,363 requests."

How about that?  No greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than our own out of control government.

"Tech giants have to hand over your data when federal investigators ask. Here’s why. The Trump administration is hardly the first to use gag orders for tech-company searches. Under the 1986 Electronic Communications Privacy Act, federal prosecutors are required to seek digital information from tech companies, not their customers. Since then, prosecutors have routinely used gag orders to prevent the companies from spilling the beans to suspects who might destroy evidence, go into hiding or threaten someone’s life. But the practice has mushroomed over the past two decades, part of a broader surveillance ramp-up following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, lawyers said. As the orders have proliferated, privacy advocates and the tech companies themselves have become increasingly concerned. Some tech company officials have accused prosecutors of reflexively requesting gag orders for routine investigations, regardless of whether the cases actually require such secrecy. And an array of company officials and legal experts argue that the practice robs tech company customers of their constitutional protections against unreasonable search and seizure. “Across all the rest of society, it’s understood that government doesn’t get to take your stuff, doesn’t get to come in and into your house, doesn’t get to break into your file folders or your lock box at the bank without a warrant. And you get to know about that warrant and you get to exercise your legal rights,” Microsoft’s Burt said in an interview. “Someone cannot exercise their Fourth Amendment rights when their data has been taken in secret.”

Goddamned right.

"With lawmakers in both parties considering reining in the practice, the Justice Department is reviewing its policies regarding nondisclosure orders that delay notification of tech company customers, said spokesman Joshua Stueve. “The Department is committed to properly balancing legitimate needs for confidentiality in criminal investigations with the public’s interest in understanding how investigative authorities are used,” Stueve said in an email, though he declined to specify what changes are under consideration."

No transparency.  Precisely, why nazi government in a de facto fascist police-state has zero credibility.  No greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than our very own egregiously out of control government.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Expect better of the nazi element in the Republican Party?  The Washington Post reports:

"Biden said Border Patrol agents ‘will pay’ for treatment of Haitian migrants. Texas Gov. Abbott offered them jobs."

Surprised?  Why?  Forget?  Nazi ignorance, indeed, has no limits.  None. Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Denouncing their actions as “outrageous,” President Biden vowed there would be consequences for the Border Patrol agents photographed riding horseback while swinging reins and charging at Haitian migrants trying to enter the country. “Those people will pay,” the president said. On Sunday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) had a different message for any federal agents who might get into trouble — the Lone Star State has a job waiting for you."

The Governor remains an embarrassment.  Just like his fuhrer, the Trump nazi.

"Abbott, appearing on “Fox News Sunday” with Chris Wallace, said the agents were “simply maneuvering horses.”

You mean like slave masters did to their slaves, Governor?

Gets worse.  Get this:

"Their actions were necessary, he added, because the Biden administration was failing at one of its most basic constitutional duties: to “secure the sovereignty of the United States of America.”

You mean like our forebears did to Native Americans hundreds of years ago, Governor?  Still f--king them over to this very day on reservations?

What the hell is the Governor pissing and moaning about?  Forget?  Biden is, indeed,  essentially following the policies of his predecessor, the Trump nazi:

"Of the roughly 30,000 migrants who arrived at the border between Sept. 9 and Friday, about 12,400 of them have been allowed to seek asylum or some other form of humanitarian protection. Many of the Haitian migrants who arrived this month had been living in South America for more than a decade since a 2010 earthquake devastated their homeland. As their new Latin American homes grew more unstable during the pandemic, they headed north, some traveling months and from as far away as Chile. But the Biden administration has already expelled thousands of others to Haiti without allowing them to make their case for asylum, a public health policy that became controversial in the Trump era. Known as Title 42, the provision, which dates back to 1893, has allowed federal officials to quickly remove some Haitians and other migrants from the United States during the pandemic, sidestepping the legal process that allows them to apply for asylum. Some critics decried the conditions of the Del Rio camp or how the Biden administration, which promised a more humane approach to immigration than the one led by President Donald Trump, swiftly deported thousands of Haitian migrants back to their homeland — even as the country continues to reel from the assassination of its president in July and a devastating earthquake that killed more than 2,200 people last month. But photos and videos from Reuters and Al Jazeera showing U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents on horseback charging, chasing, grabbing and swearing at immigrants as they tried to cross the Rio Grande sparked the most blowback."

Yet, the Abbott nazi has no problems with such tactics.  Imagine that.

"White House press secretary Jen Psaki called video footage “horrific.” Vice President Harris described the agents’ treatment of the migrants as “horrible” and said she was going to talk about the issue with Mayorkas. “Human beings should never be treated that way, and I was deeply troubled about it,” Harris said."

Abbott certainly wasn't.  Raw racist nazism.

"DHS officials have opened an investigation into what happened. On Friday, Mayorkas told reporters the investigation would be fair and the results made public. Wallace, the Fox News host and journalist, hinted at the outcry as he questioned Abbott on Sunday. “Governor, even if you think that those officers are being scapegoated, are you at all troubled by the images of these officers on horseback very aggressively pushing back on the Haitian immigrants coming across?” he asked. The governor responded by saying the federal agents “wouldn’t have been in that situation had the Biden administration enforced the immigration laws and secured the border in the first place.”

What a crock of shit coming from an ignorant national socialist.  ... That, the best you have, Governor?  Achingly, incapable of responsively answering Wallace's pointed question, Governor?  What a goddamned disgrace.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Think the jackbooted mentality of law enforcement will ever change?  The Washington Post reports:

"Police arrested a man who didn’t comply with their commands. That’s because he is deaf, a new lawsuit says."

Law enforcement couldn't be that stupid, could it?

"When police in Idaho Springs, Colo., saw a vehicle roll through a stop sign on a September evening in 2019, they followed it into a laundromat’s parking lot and turned on their flashing lights. The driver, Brady Mistic, parked his car and stepped out of the vehicle. He later said he did not understand what was happening, or even that he was being pulled over — Mistic is deaf and communicates primarily through American Sign Language. In the confusion, the situation escalated. According to a new lawsuit filed by Mistic, the officers threw him to the ground, stunned him with a Taser and put him in handcuffs. He tried to use some of the words he is able to speak: “No ears.” It seemed to make no difference."

Insult to injury?

"After the encounter, Mistic was charged with resisting arrest and assault on a police officer. He was jailed for four months, during which time he said he continued to struggle to communicate the misunderstanding. The charges were later dropped."

Jesus Christ.  This shit never ends.

"Two years after the incident, Mistic has filed the lawsuit against the city of Idaho Springs and the two officers involved, alleging excessive force, unlawful arrest, malicious prosecution and discrimination against a person with a disability. The suit also accuses Clear Creek County of not properly accommodating his disability in jail. “This is a civil rights action seeking justice for the shocking use of unnecessary police force and wrongful incarceration of a deaf man whom the Defendant officers rashly attacked after failing to recognize his disability and misinterpreting his non-threatening attempts to see and communicate as challenges to police authority,” the lawsuit states."

The jackbooted bastards in blue can't, won't be confused by the truth:

"In a statement, the Idaho Springs Police Department said the two officers, Nicholas Hanning and Ellie Summers, did not know Mistic was deaf. The department said the police chief had reviewed the incident and found the officers acted appropriately in the situation."

The chief is as unfit as his two goons:

"Hanning and Summers made headlines earlier this year in connection with a separate incident that led to litigation. Michael Clark, 75, filed a lawsuit against the officers in late July, saying he was Tasered and roughed up without justification during a police encounter in May. Hanning, who deployed the Taser, was charged with felony assault on an at-risk adult and fired from the police department."

How about that?

"The case involving Mistic happened Sept. 17, 2019. In the lawsuit, Mistic said he got out of his car and was walking into the laundromat when he saw the flashing police lights about 50 feet from where he had parked. He said the officers got out of the patrol vehicle and walked toward him. He raised his hands “in an obvious non-threatening position of deference.” According to the police department’s statement, the officers ordered Mistic to get back inside his car. But Mistic said in the lawsuit that he still did not know what was happening. Seemingly out of nowhere, Hanning grabbed him by his sweatshirt, threw him to the ground and bashed his head into the concrete, according to the suit. At that time, Mistic said, Summers also grabbed him and helped roll him onto his stomach. Then, she pulled out her Taser and used it in the stun-gun mode, the lawsuit states. Mistic said he cried out: “No ears.” Summers stunned him again, according to the suit. The officers “knew or should have known by Mr. Mistic’s lack of speech, hand gestures, and/or thick-tongued articulation of the words ‘no ears’ that he was deaf and could not hear or understand the officers,” the lawsuit alleges. During the incident, police said Hanning “suffered a serious leg-break.” But Mistic alleges in the lawsuit that the officer “hurt himself in the course of the attack.” In addition to alleging mistreatment by police outside the laundromat, Mistic said he was denied basic accommodations for his disability at the county jail, including access to an interpreter. During his four months in jail, he was unable to communicate with staff, inmates or his attorney except through writing, which required notebook paper he often had trouble obtaining. “Mr. Mistic felt alone, confused, and helpless to understand or interact effectively in the jail environment or with the outside world. He was frustrated that he could not explain that the Defendant officers had misunderstood his behavior, used force without justification and that he was innocent,” the lawsuit states."

The bastards had nothing on him:

"Although the charges against him were ultimately dismissed, Mistic said the incident left lasting harm to his physical, emotional and financial well-being. Hanning and Summers have not formally responded to the lawsuit in court, and attorneys for the two did not immediately return emails from The Washington Post early Monday. Mistic said in the lawsuit that other officers who have stopped him in the past have quickly picked up on the fact that he is deaf and unable to communicate verbally. “Mr. Mistic commonly communicates that he is deaf and that he needs to write to communicate by raising his hands, touching or covering his ears, and shaking his head ‘no’ and then mimicking the act of writing on a piece of paper. He has used this pantomimic language to communicate to police officers that he is deaf and needs to write to communicate during several ordinary traffic stops on occasions prior to this one. “The officers who have encountered him during these stops have not had any difficulty understanding that he was disabled and have provided appropriate accommodations to him in the past.”

More of the same.  Nazi justice in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  In follow-up to a case covered repeatedly in this publication and elsewhere, NBC News(AP) reports:

"One of several police officers seen on video pinning down Daniel Prude, a Black man who died after being detained on a street in upstate New York, could face departmental discipline, the Rochester Police Department said. Officer Mark Vaughn is the only officer to be served with “departmental charges” Thursday following an internal investigation of the police response to Prude, whose death sparked nightly protests and led to the suspension of seven officers. Vaughn was cited for unnecessary or excessive force and discourteous/unprofessional conduct, the department said Friday. A formal hearing will be held later, followed by a hearing officer's recommendation for potential discipline. Prude, 41, of Chicago, died in March 2020, a week after being held by officers against the pavement until he stopped breathing after he bolted from his brother’s home and shed his clothes during an apparent mental health episode. Police body camera video released six months later shows Vaughn assuming a pushup stance while pressing Prude’s head to the pavement with his hands as other officers immobilize his legs. A mesh “spit hood” was placed over the head of Prude, who was naked on a cold night."

Get this.  Unadulterated nazi bullshit promulgated by shysters:

"Lawyers for the police said the officers were strictly following their training in a technique known as segmenting."

'Defense' of the indefensible by shysters who clearly know better.

"Following the release of the departmental findings, Mayor Lovely Warren indicated she would seek Vaughn's termination. “Our community has suffered greatly from the tragic death of Daniel Prude,” Warren said in a statement Friday."

The following?  Outrageously, galling:

"The six other officers, who with Vaughn have been on paid suspension during the investigation, “will be initially assigned to Professional Development to ensure they are up to date on any policies and procedures,” the police department statement said."

Protected and coddled in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  Why weren't these criminal, murderous jackbooted bastards in blue prosecuted?

"Also Friday, police released a 23-minute video tracing Prude's movements from his arrival in Rochester the afternoon of March 22 to visit his brother Joe Prude to his fatal encounter with police in the pre-dawn hours March 23. The video, pieced together from surveillance camera footage, cellphone and 911 recordings and police body camera video, shows a disoriented Prude walking and running barefoot for about a mile through dark and largely deserted streets and parking lots during a snowfall. Along the way, he removes the tank top and pajama bottoms he was wearing, leaving him naked by the time the officers, who were called by his concerned brother, catch up with him. Joe Prude told police his brother had smoked marijuana dipped in the drug PCP and underwent a mental health evaluation at a Rochester hospital earlier in the day but had been acting normally just before running out the back door. As he is handcuffed on the ground, Daniel Prude is heard launching into a confused rant, alternately demanding the police officers' guns and praying to Jesus Christ. The video, some of which was previously withheld by investigators, shows the officers held Prude face down to the ground for about two minutes before noticing he had stopped breathing and had no pulse. Prude never regained consciousness and was removed from life support March 30."

The bastards murdered him.  Yet, were protected and coddled.

"Warren said she hoped that the work the city had done in creating person-in-crisis teams, changing police procedures, funding a police accountability board and training more officers in deescalation techniques "ensures that, going forward, we always respond to those in need with compassion and humanity.”

The above rings hollow.  No justice.  De facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  No equal justice.

"The county medical examiner listed Prude’s manner of death as homicide caused by “complications of asphyxia in the setting of physical restraint” and cited the drug PCP as a contributing factor. A grand jury assembled by state Attorney General Letitia James declined to indict any of the officers."

A grand jury is little more than a rubber stamp for the will of its Pied Piper, the prosecutor.

Too little.  Too late.  The following is outrageously galling:

"The results of a departmental investigation were released in a brief statement Thursday evening. “The Rochester Police Department’s (RPD) Conflict Counsel has determined potential grounds for legal recourse in the case of Officer Vaughn, as it relates to the March 23, 2020, incident,” the statement from Chief Cynthia Herriott-Sullivan's office said. “The department fully supports Officer Vaughn’s right to due process and to defend himself against the charges, of which no pre-determined outcome has been put in place," the statement said. An attorney for Vaughn did not respond to a telephone message to his office Friday. A spokesperson for the Rochester Police Locust Club, the police union, said the union had no comment."

Surprised?  Why?  Forget?  'Defense' of the indefensible remains impossible.  Think the fix isn't in?  No more than 'symbolism over substance' to shamelessly quote the late not-so-great Rush Limbaugh nazi.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No justice.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

About time for a little enlightenment.  The Associated Press reports:

"Angry over being fired, a former employee slashed the tires of his boss’ vehicle and still held the knife when police officers arrived. Three officers positioned themselves at a safe distance as the man yelled and ranted. One officer had a stun gun, another a handgun. The third used the most important tool — a willingness to talk. Here in a school parking lot in Maine, the emergency was fake, but the strategies were very real. The officers were going through a training course offered by the Police Executive Research Forum that thousands of police officers around the country are receiving this year. Officers are taught: keep a safe distance, slow things down. The organization based in Washington, D.C., is the foremost policing think tank in the country. Its two-day training now has a long waiting list. “The most common mistake is rushing a situation that you don’t need to rush,” said Steven Stefanakos of New York City Police Department, who was brought in to help train the officers. “When you compress time and space, it usually does not go the way we want it to go.” Police department requests for training on how to better deal with the public have skyrocketed since the death of George Floyd and the protests that followed, particularly as calls to defund police rise and cities pass reforms aimed at cracking down on police brutality. The Police Executive Research Forum’s training effort began five years ago after the shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed black man, in Ferguson, Missouri, and has been updated since with fresh techniques. The idea had its genesis in the United Kingdom, where most officers don’t carry handguns, forum director Chuck Wexler said. It’s a mix of classroom training and scenarios played out with actors to give officers time to work through what they’ve learned. The goal is to take the training to as many of the nation’s 18,000 law enforcement agencies as possible."

Every goddamned one of them desperately needs this training.

"Police officers are asked to do a lot. They’re asked to be roadside psychologists, family counselors, mental health workers — and even soldiers in an active-shooter event, said Saco Police Chief Jack Clements, whose agency hosted the event in New England. That’s why it’s important to rehearse. “Rather than rushing in and winding up in an encounter that’s deadly force, let’s back up, slow down, talk, formulate a plan. Then engage. If it takes an hour to de-escalate this guy, that’s fine. Take the time,” the chief said."

No question.  Discard a 'shoot first, ask questions later' mentality.

"Some officers say the training is already saving lives. In Texas, a police officer responded to a call for a suicidal woman with a knife a couple of weeks after receiving the training in Harris County. The woman had rammed a vehicle in which her boyfriend was sitting and nearly hit a deputy before fleeing and locking herself in an apartment. The first deputies on the scene kicked in the door, but Sgt. Pete Smith slowed things down and initiated a conversation when he arrived. Assured that he was there to help, the woman dropped her knife. Instead of a violent arrest, or worse, she was taken for a mental health evaluation, said Sgt. Jose Gomez, part of the department’s behavioral health training unit, who was responsible for securing the training."

Best possible outcome.  Certainly, far better than the alternative.

"In Saco, the officers spent the first day in the classroom before working through role-playing exercises on the second day. The scenarios focused on the vast majority of encounters with the public where no gun is present, but may involve knives or weapons. In the tire-slashing scenario, the three officers kept a distance from the man who was displaying a knife. The man was a threat, they said, but not an imminent one as long as he remained at a safe distance. The three of them quickly designated the officer who would do the speaking. Long minutes dragged by as the officer and assailant talked and commiserated, allowing the focus of the conversation to shift away from the boss. They ended up talking about customizing cars. The man put down his knife. After the exercise, a police officer from New Haven, Connecticut, said during the debriefing that he kept the “21-foot rule” in mind. The 21-foot distance is sometimes referred to as the “kill zone.” It’s drilled into officers that at that distance someone armed with a knife, baseball bat or other weapon can quickly close the distance and inflict deadly injuries. Officers who want to protect themselves and survive to go home at the end of the shift are more likely to use deadly force simply because that’s what they were trained to do once that distance limit is broken. After listening in on the post-training conversation, Wexler said he was troubled by the results he’s seen from what believes to be an arbitrary rule taught in police training. “These are what you would call the lawful but awful kinds of shootings,” Wexler said. Sometimes, he said, winning means backing away to keep a distance, instead of charging into a situation or standing one’s ground. It means taking time to assess and communicate, he said."

Finally, some semblance of desperately-needed change.  Encouraging, isn't it?

"Raphael Thornton, who played the role of the knife-wielding assailant, said officers aren’t always sold on textbook training. But, he said, that changes with the role-playing. “That’s when we really get the buy-in,” said Thornton, who works for the Camden County Police Department in New Jersey. “If we have any naysayers when they leave the classroom, they really buy in when they get out there. They get to put what they learned into action.”

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

All migrants removed from Del Rio encampment.  The Washington Post reports:

"Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced Friday that all migrants have been cleared from the encampment in Del Rio, Tex. Mayorkas made the announcement at the White House amid widespread criticism of the Biden administration for its handling of the migrants, most of them Haitians, at the U.S.-Mexico border. Earlier in the day, President Biden decried their treatment and took responsibility for the handling of the migrants."

Empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric.  Especially, in light of the fact Biden is engaging in the same policies and tactics as his predecessor, the Trump nazi.

“Less than one week ago, there were approximately 15,000 migrants in Del Rio, Texas, the great majority of whom were Haitian nationals,” Mayorkas told reporters Friday. “This was the result of an unprecedented movement of a very large number of people traveling to a single point of the border within a matter of a few days. … As of this morning, there are no longer any migrants in the camp underneath the Del Rio International Bridge.” Mayorkas’s appearance in the White House briefing room capped a week that left the Biden administration struggling to deal with immigrants at the border while answering to Democrats and Republicans about the images of mistreatment of those fleeing. The deportations of Black Haitians seeking asylum at the southern border — and the viral images and videos of White Border Patrol agents grabbing and shouting at them — drew sharp rebukes from Black Democrats, including members of the Congressional Black Caucus."

Rightfully, so.  Raw nazism engaged in by Biden and his henchmen.

“In the midst of meeting these challenges, we — our entire nation — saw horrifying images that do not reflect who we are, who we aspire to be, or the integrity and values of our truly heroic personnel in the Department of Homeland Security,” Mayorkas said Friday. He added: “The investigation into what occurred has not yet concluded. We know that those images painfully conjured up the worst elements of our nation’s ongoing battle against systemic racism.” Mayorkas said that about 2,000 migrants were expelled to Haiti on a total of 17 flights organized by the Department of Homeland Security."

Delusionally, think this solves the problem, Mr. Secretary?

"Another 8,000 migrants “decided to return to Mexico voluntarily,” Mayorkas said. The remaining 5,000 are being processed by the Department of Homeland Security “to determine whether they will be expelled or placed in immigration removal proceedings,” he added. Mayorkas pledged to make public the results of the investigation into the actions of the Border Patrol officers and said the proceedings “will be compelled by the facts that are adduced and nothing less.”

How are you bastards any different than the Trump nazi and his henchmen?

The following speaks volumes and is a remarkable example of Uncommon Valor.  CBS News reports:

"A top U.S. envoy to Haiti tendered his resignation on Wednesday, citing the Biden administration's "inhumane" effort to expel hundreds of Haitian migrants to their home country, which is recovering from a deadly earthquake and plagued by political instability, widespread insecurity and crippling poverty. Ambassador Daniel Foote, who was chosen to be the U.S. special envoy to Haiti in July, called the Biden administration's policy in Haiti "deeply flawed," saying his recommendations were brushed aside. "I will not be associated with the United States['] inhumane, counterproductive decision to deport thousands of Haitian refugees and illegal immigrants to Haiti, a country where American officials are confined to secure compounds because of the danger posed by armed gangs in control of daily life," Foote wrote in his resignation letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, which was obtained by CBS News."

Powerful language, isn't it?  Yet, not one ambassador during the Trump administration did the same, that is, hold the Trump nazi accountable for remarkably similar migrant policies.  Not one.

"In response to a recent sharp increase in arrivals of Haitians in the Texas border community of Del Rio, and the emergence of a massive camp there that at one point housed 15,000 migrants, the Biden administration launched a deportation blitz to Haiti. Since Sunday, the U.S. has carried out 12 deportation flights to Haiti, expelling more than 1,400 migrants there, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which has said the expulsions will continue on a "regular basis." The U.S. is planning to carry out as many as seven daily expulsion flights to Haiti in the coming days, a person briefed on the plan told CBS News. The Biden administration is also in talks with Chile and Brazil to see if they can receive Haitians who used to live in those countries, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told Congress on Wednesday."

Indeed, Uncommon Valor:

"In his resignation letter, Foote said Haiti's "collapsed state" won't be able to absorb hundreds of deportees. The deportations, he said, could also backfire, prompting more Haitians to flee and head to the U.S. "The people of Haiti, mired in poverty, hostage to the terror, kidnappings, robberies and massacres of armed gangs and suffering under a corrupt government with gang alliances, simply cannot support the forced infusion of thousands of returned migrants lacking food, shelter, and money without additional, avoidable human tragedy," Foote wrote in his letter, which was first published by PBS NewsHour. Foote also criticized the administration for backing Prime Minister Ariel Henry, who became Haiti's de facto interim leader after President Jovenel Moïse was assassinated in July. "The hubris that makes us believe we should pick the winner — again — is impressive," he wrote."

Yet, the following is the best response the bastards could come up with to challenge the ambassador who courageously spoke the truth:

"In a statement, State Department spokesman Ned Price pushed back sharply on Foote's assertion that his recommendations were dismissed out of hand, saying Foote "failed to take advantage of ample opportunity to raise concerns about migration during his tenure and chose to resign instead."

Think that's true?  Time to hear more from the ambassador and others.  Let's see who's lying and who's telling the truth.

"For him to say his proposals were ignored is simply false. I'm not going to parse the contents of his resignation letter, but I do want to emphasize that we have active policy debates in this administration on a number of issues. The role of the President's cabinet and his advisors is to provide the President with the best advice possible," Price said. "No ideas are ignored, but not all ideas are good ideas."

Jesus Christ.  What a crock of shit.  Best you could come up with?

Here's the problem.  Biden is following in the foot steps of his predecessor, the Trump nazi:

"The Biden administration has been using Title 42, a public health authority first invoked under former President Donald Trump, to expel Haitian migrants in U.S. border custody without a court hearing or an asylum screening."

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

More on the Texas abortion debacle.  NBC News reports:

"The House passed legislation Friday that would codify abortion rights protections amid threats to Roe v. Wade from a Texas law banning most abortions and a wave of restrictions in other states. The measure advanced along party lines in a 218-211 vote, with only one Democrat, Rep. Henry Cuellar of Texas, voting against it. The legislation now faces a dead end in the evenly split Senate, where Democrats would need at least 10 Republicans to support the bill for it to advance to a final vote. "This is about freedom, about freedom of women to have choice, about the size and timing of their families, [which is] not the business of people on the court or members of Congress," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said at a press conference with other House Democrats outside the Capitol ahead of the vote. Pelosi denounced the Supreme Court's decision to allow the law to take effect in Texas, saying they were "just rubber-stamping what they were sent to the court to do — which is to harm the health and well-being of America's women."

Forget?  The Republican nazi way.

"The Supreme Court’s 5-4 order allowing the Texas law to take effect earlier this month was a "cowardly, dark-of-night decision to uphold a flagrantly unconstitutional assault on women’s rights and health” and "necessitates codifying Roe v. Wade," Pelosi had previously said. Rep. Judy Chu, D-Calif., the lead sponsor of the Women's Health Protection Act, said Republicans have been using a two-pronged strategy over the last decade to attack abortion rights. First, she said, they "steadily packed the courts at every level with anti-choice judges" and second, "they've been crafting state laws designed to create a challenge to Roe for these judges to uphold." "Congress must protect the rights of women and pregnant people in every ZIP code, putting an end to an attack on abortion once and for all," she said. "The Women's Health Protection Act is how we do that. I've introduced the Women's Health Protection Act since 2013 and in every Congress since then because we knew this day would come." Rep. Diana DeGette, D-Colo., said the measure would ensure that all Americans, regardless of their race, socioeconomic position or place of residence "will have equal access and freedom to get the care that they need." She added, "But maybe the most important thing this bill will do is it will end our reliance on the courts to protect people for the medical care that they need and deserve." Democrats are concerned that other states could follow in the footsteps of Texas, whose law, Senate Bill 8, bans abortions in the state as early as six weeks of pregnancy, before most women know they are even pregnant. The law allows anyone, even someone outside of Texas, to sue an abortion provider or anyone else who helped someone get an abortion after a fetal heartbeat can be detected for at least $10,000 per defendant."

More insanity from the outrageously fascist yellow-bellied Republican Nazi Right.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.  NBC News reports:

"Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., instigated a shouting match with a group of House Democrats who were holding an event outside the U.S. Capitol on Friday. “You should all be ashamed,” she yelled at the crowd of Democrats standing on the House steps, according to a video posted on Twitter by Insider reporter Bryan Metzger. The Democratic lawmakers had been touting President Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda. “Killing a baby up until birth is a lack of civility. It’s called murder,” Greene shouted as she turned toward a smaller group of Democratic lawmakers descending the steps. “Hey, how about the border down there? Lack of civility, how about lack of laws?” Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Mich., started yelling at Greene, “You should practice the basic thing you’re taught at church — respect your neighbors!” “Taught in church? Are you kidding me?” Greene responded. “Try being a Christian and supporting life.” “You try being a Christian,” Dingell was heard saying in response. Greene then told her, “Watch your step lady, you’re going to fall down. Control yourself.”

The insane Greene nazi needs to follow her own advice.

"The reporter also tweeted another video showing Greene trying to pick a fight with Dingell and several other House Democrats at the top of the steps, which led to them walking back inside the Capitol. Greene was also seen yelling at the larger group of House Democrats further down the steps as they were holding their event, telling them to “stand with them” and “stand with mothers” instead of “killing babies up until birth.” The outburst by the Republican lawmaker, who is known for making inflammatory remarks, came after the House passed legislation that would codify abortion rights protections amid threats to Roe v. Wade."

Who the hell is the nazi element in the Republican Party to force its perverse ideology and religious views on all in direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is, freedom from religion?  A raucous boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Seig Heil!, Rep. Greene.

The Washington Post reports:

"Earlier this month, Alan Braid did what no other surgeon in Texas had dared: He violated his state’s ban on abortions after six weeks of pregnancy. Then he announced it to the world. In a Sept. 18 op-ed in The Washington Post, Braid explained that he’d performed the procedure on a woman who was in her first trimester but beyond the state’s new limit, because she had a “fundamental right to receive this care.” Afterward, antiabortion groups circulated pictures of Braid on Facebook. Hundreds of people who’d never met him started calling him a “hero.” To others, the 76-year-old OB/GYN was “an example of evil.”

Evil is personified in the nazi element of the Republican Party which imposes its perverse ideology and religious views on all in direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is, freedom from religion.

"Among abortion providers in Texas, Braid is known as a tireless doctor who has challenged many of the antiabortion laws that have surfaced from the state’s conservative legislature, said Antonio Cavazos, a retired OB/GYN who worked alongside Braid in San Antonio from 2016 to 2018. Now, Braid has stepped up to lead the charge against one of the greatest threats to abortion access in decades."

Dr. Braid is an example of Uncommon Valor.  A man of principle, great courage to take on the nazi element in our formerly great country.

NBC News reports:

"K.T. Volkova got a positive pregnancy test just days before Texas' controversial law banning most abortions took effect. The 23-year-old, who identifies as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, was nearly six weeks pregnant and immediately knew they wanted an abortion. But Volkova was already on the cusp of the limit set by the new law, which bars in-clinic abortions after the detection of a fetal cardiac activity, or as early as six weeks. The options to get an abortion were limited. Volkova figured it would be impossible to get the procedure done in person at a Texas clinic, flooded by others wanting abortions, before the law took effect Sept. 1. But a busy schedule meant traveling out of state was also out of the question. Volkova’s solution: ordering abortion pills online to end the pregnancy at home. “It was almost like an online shopping experience with a customer service representative,” Volkova said. “I personally would say it was maybe even easier than having to go to an actual clinic.” But Volkova, who used a second last name they don’t use publicly for privacy reasons, has been worried about potential legal ramifications and declined in an interview to give personal information or name the source of the pills."

Sad, isn't it, the nazi element is hell bent on forcing its perverse ideology and religious views on all in direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is, freedom from religion?

The Associated Press reports:

"Medication abortion accounts for about 40% of all abortions in the U.S. The increasingly common method relies on pills rather than surgery, opening the possibility for abortions to be done in a woman’s home rather than a clinic. It’s an option that has become important during the COVID-19 pandemic. As Republican states move to restrict access to abortion generally, many of them also are limiting access to medication-induced abortions. Providers say medication abortion is safe and essential, especially as access to clinics in Republican-controlled states becomes more difficult."

The nazi element in our formerly great country delusionally believes it owns your uterus, ladies. Does it?

NBC News reports:

"The day was jampacked at a Planned Parenthood clinic in southern Illinois when a woman who had just driven over 12 hours from Louisiana for an abortion procedure erupted into tears during her health intake. Kawanna Shannon, the surgical services director at the Reproductive Health Services of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region, dropped her tasks and led the woman into a private room to talk. The woman said she was panicking because she had used her rent money to pay for child care for her two kids, rent a car, buy gas and drive to the clinic in Fairview Heights. The days leading up to and after Texas’ restrictive abortion law went into effect, clinics in surrounding states became overbooked, diverting patients further away, including this patient who only had one extra day off work to get the procedure done, Shannon said. The woman's only option was Illinois, but it cost her her rent, she said."

Thanks to the nazi element in the Republican Party.

“No one is thinking about these hardships when they put these bans on. People have other children, people have health issues, people have all types of things and they are spending every dime just to go somewhere else because this basic need isn’t accessible in their own state,” Shannon said. “But there are people fighting for them, no matter what laws are being passed or what the restrictions are, and we are doing everything we can to be able to service these patients. They need to know that we're going to continue to fight for them.” The Illinois clinic, emblematic of a state that has deemed itself a safe haven for abortion care, is feeling the reverberations of the Texas law in the form of dozens of women forced to travel hundreds of miles just to secure an appointment. Despite facing its own challenges, including staff shortages and similar legislation up for consideration across the border in Missouri, the Illinois clinic said it is fully prepared to welcome any woman who needs the medical care."

Hat's off.  Uncommon Valor.

"The clinic has long been preparing for what it calls “the writing on the wall,” according to Yamelsie Rodríguez, president and CEO of Reproductive Health Services of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region, which oversees the Fairview Heights clinic. “This is the reality that we have been seeing for a long time, and we’ve been preparing for a post-Roe world with a plan to ensure abortion services remain accessible with this clinic.” Over the last week, the clinic has seen patients from Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Texas. “No one will be turned away,” Rodriguez stated. Planned Parenthood and Hope Clinic invested $10 million into their clinics, which sit on the southwest border of the state just 15 minutes from St. Louis, and have been building clinical capacity and infrastructure in preparation for abortion bans and restrictions in neighboring states. Illinois stands as a lone refuge in the Midwest giving unencumbered access to abortion services with the Reproductive Health Act, which also ensures access to pregnancy care and birth control. Sponsors of the act emphasized in legislative sessions the importance of its protections should the landmark Roe v. Wade decision be overturned. The Supreme Court said in May that it would consider the legality of Mississippi's abortion ban on most abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy in its upcoming fall term. The law will protect the right to choose regardless of what happens with Roe v. Wade, said Jennifer Welch, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Illinois. “As other states put more barriers into place for people to access this health care, we know that patients will turn to Illinois and we could see tens of thousands of patients if other states follow Texas' example or if the Supreme court further erodes abortion protection in their upcoming case.” Inside the busy clinic, Dr. Colleen McNicholas, one of six physicians who work at the facility, has spent a fair share of days staying late to care for patients, but more often than not that goes beyond just medical care, she said. After completing a late procedure for a patient last week, she had to help the woman, who drove over 300 miles from Tennessee, figure out how to get her car fixed. With everything being closed after hours, McNicholas then needed to help the patient get a hotel room for the night while waiting for a place to open to work on her car. It was an additional financial burden this patient wasn’t prepared for, she said. Most of these patients are existing in the intersections of marginalization with financial insecurity and housing insecurity, she said. Life in and of itself is exhausting for them and then having to jump through more hoops to be able to access care can be a really oppressive burden, she said. Half of all women in the U.S. who got an abortion in 2014 lived in poverty, according to a 2016 study by the Guttmacher Institute, a reproductive health research group. Kencia Page is the call center director for the clinic in Fairview Heights, which fields more than 350 calls a day. Many from out-of-state patients, she said, especially now with Texas stressing the entire system of abortion providers. “Our call center has received calls from patients in Texas frantic about the Texas abortion ban and desperate to figure out their options,” she said. “These patients are overwhelmed. We received a call from one Texas patient who did not know how they would be able to access abortion because they did not have any family support or any money to pay for travel and lodging to access abortion out of state. Page said it’s “heartbreaking” to hear stories like this, but it puts into perspective the importance of the work they do and that they will have to continue on if other states follow suit."

Nazi Republican element on the U.S. Supreme Court clearly rattled.  The Associated Press reports:

"Three Supreme Court justices delivered the same plea in rapid succession in recent days: Don’t view justices as politicians."

Then, stop acting like politicians.  No more complicated than that.

"The justices have reason to be concerned. Recent polls show a sharp drop in approval of a court now dominated by conservatives."

Sadly, they're not conservatives.  Republican nazis now enjoy a 6-3 majority on the U.S. Supreme Court.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"The call by justices Clarence Thomas, Stephen Breyer and Amy Coney Barrett for the public not to see court decisions as just an extension of partisan politics isn’t new. But the timing of the recent comments is significant, just after a summer in which conservative majorities on the court prevailed over liberal dissents on abortion, immigration and evictions, and at the start of a blockbuster term."

Called raw nazism.

“I think we may have come to a turning point. If within a span of a few terms we see sweeping right-side decisions over left-side dissents on every one of the most politically divisive issues of our time — voting, guns, abortion, religion, affirmative action — perception of the court may be permanently altered,” said Irv Gornstein, executive director of Georgetown University’s Supreme Court Institute. Paul Smith, who has argued before the court in support of LGBTQ and voting rights among other issues, said people are increasingly upset that the ”court is way to the right of the American people on a lot of issues.”

Raw nazism.

"Breyer, the court’s eldest member at 83 and leader of its diminished liberal wing, has spoken for years about the danger of viewing the court as “junior league politicians.” But he acknowledged it can be difficult to counter the perception that judges are acting politically, particularly after cases like the one from Texas in which the court by a 5-4 vote refused to block enforcement of the state’s ban on abortions early in pregnancy. The majority was made up of three justices appointed by President Donald Trump and two other conservatives, with the three liberals and Chief Justice John Roberts in dissent. “It’s pretty hard to believe when a case like those come along that we’re less divided than you might think,” Breyer said in an interview earlier this month with The Washington Post."

Wishful thinking on the part of Breyer.  Disingenuous at best.  At worst, abject bullshit.  The Court has indeed been headed Extreme Right since Richard Nixon began loading it with the nazi element after taking office back in 1969.  -- The nazification process some five decades along since the Warren Court.  So too determined abrogation of all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Now, a fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.

"Three new polls, all conducted after the court’s Texas abortion vote, have shown sharp drops in approval of the court. Just 40% of Americans approve of the court, according to the latest Gallup poll. That’s among the lowest it’s been since Gallup started asking that question more than 20 years ago. Approval was 49% in July. The change in the composition of the court and the controversies over Trump’s three nominees have prompted calls from liberal interest groups to expand the court and institute term limits for the justices, who have lifetime tenure under the Constitution. At the moment, those changes seem unlikely to succeed. But one group, Demand Justice, said this past week that it is planning to spend more than $100,000 on advertising in the coming weeks to promote the idea of court expansion. And a court reform commission established by President Joe Biden is supposed to issue a report by November."

There is certainly desperately needed change on the Court.  A de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only is a cancer that seems to be leading to an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  ... Hear the rumble?

Think return of Trump to the White House would not be an unmitigated disaster for the intelligence community?  ABC News reports:

"A former senior Department of Homeland Security official who once accused the Trump administration of politicizing intelligence said Sunday that a return of President Donald Trump to the White House in 2024 "would be a disaster" for the U.S. intelligence community. "(Former President Trump) has denigrated the intelligence community, he puts out disinformation -- and that's an existential threat to democracy and he is one of the best at putting it out and hurting this country," Brian Murphy, who once led the DHS intelligence branch, said Sunday in an exclusive interview on ABC's "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos. Murphy, a long-time federal law enforcement official, made headlines last year after filing a whistleblower complaint accusing Trump-appointed leaders of politicizing intelligence by withholding or downplaying threats that ran counter to Trump's political messages."

Treason.  Trump placed his personal and political interests ahead of the country.

"The 24-page complaint, filed in September 2020, named former Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and former acting Secretary Chad Wolf as trying to "censor or manipulate" intelligence bulletins related to Russian meddling in the presidential election and the threat of domestic white supremacist groups. "I became a whistleblower because when I arrived at DHS in 2018, from the outset, everything that I had stood for -- you know, finding objective truth when I was in the FBI and serving in the Marines and serving the American public -- was quickly told to me that's no longer acceptable," Murphy said Sunday. In his complaint, Murphy further accused Nielsen, Wolf and other top officials of scrambling to gather and prepare intelligence reports that aligned with Trump's public remarks in the months leading up to the 2020 election. "There was intense pressure to try to take intelligence and fit a political narrative," Murphy said Sunday. "When I got to DHS, it was all about politics." In one instance, Murphy wrote in his complaint that he was "instructed" by Wolf "to cease providing intelligence assessments on the threat of Russian interference in the United States, and instead start reporting on interference activities by China and Iran." On Sunday, Murphy said "there was a push-on across government at the senior levels -- cabinet officials -- to do everything possible to stifle anything" about Russia's interference. "They did not want the American public to know that the Russians were supporting Trump and denigrating what would soon be President Biden," Murphy added. Murphy also claimed Sunday that discussing white supremacy as a national security threat became a "third-rail issue" within the department after the 2017 "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. "I disagreed with that, I made that known to my superiors," Murphy said Sunday. A DHS spokesperson said last year that the agency "flatly denies that there is any truth to the merits of Mr. Murphy's claim."

Somebody's lying.  Guess who.

"Wolf responded last September during a speech that any effort to "paint recent DHS actions as examples of mission drift or politicization … could not be more wrong." James Wareham, Nielsen's attorney, told ABC News at the time that Murphy's allegations "would be laughable if they were not so defamatory." Murphy's explosive claims nonetheless fueled concerns that Trump and his appointees had sought to politicize the intelligence process to more closely support the administration's legislative and political agenda. Shortly before filing his whistleblower complaint, Murphy was reassigned within the department after it was revealed that his intelligence unit had included reporters' tweets in bulletins disseminated to law enforcement networks across the U.S. -- a practice that experts said was out of the agency's purview. Questioned by Stephanopoulos about that, Murphy said Sunday he "understands why, at the time, the media reacted the way they did" to reports his branch collated public-source information about reporters, citing the alleged credibility gap between the White House and the American people. Murphy added that "at no time was I aware or direct anybody in my organization to collect information on journalists." "People did not trust (the Trump administration). There was a war against the media and I wasn't going to be a part of that," Murphy said."

Liz Cheney is a most remarkable woman.  One of a handful of Republicans who place principle ahead of partisanship.  The Associated Press reports:

"Rep. Liz Cheney says she was wrong to oppose gay marriage in the past, a stand that once split her family. Cheney, R-Wyo., a fierce critic of fellow Republican Donald Trump, also tells CBS News’ “60 Minutes” that she views her reelection campaign as the most important House race in the nation as forces aligned with the former president try to unseat her. She voted to impeach Trump over his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. In the interview aired Sunday night, Cheney said she had little affection for President Joe Biden, who she believes has embraced harmful polices for the economy and national security with the Afghanistan withdrawal. “But the alternative cannot be a man who doesn’t believe in the rule of law, and who violated his oath of office,” Cheney said."

Remarkable insight.

"The daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney was an ascendant Republican leader before the Jan. 6 riot, yet she is increasingly defined by her public opposition to Trump and his hold on the GOP. Cheney, 55, noted that she still talks with her father every night and that they share the same views on rejecting Trump. Liz Cheney famously broke with her family in 2013 by opposing gay marriage ahead of a failed Senate bid. Her objections caused a rift with her sister, Mary, a married lesbian. Mary’s spouse, Heather Poe, posted on Facebook that year that Cheney’s position was offensive and that “I always thought freedom meant freedom for EVERYONE.” In the interview, Cheney said her opposition to gay marriage was misguided and she channeled her sister-in-law’s Facebook post in explaining why she changed her position. “I was wrong. I was wrong,” she said. “It’s a very personal issue — and very personal for my family. I believe that my dad was right. And my sister and I have had that conversation ... Freedom means freedom for everybody.”

Get this:

"While still opposed to gun control, abortion and the Affordable Care Act, or “Obamacare,” the Wyoming congresswoman finds herself on the outs for voting to impeach Trump after his Jan. 6 rally preceded a mob storming the Capitol in hopes of overturning his reelection loss to Biden. Trump continues to falsely claim election fraud in spite of results being certified by states and Republican election officials and courts rejecting dozens of legal challenges. After voting to impeach Trump, Cheney lost her leadership post as chair of the House Republican Conference. Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi put her on a nine-person committee to investigate the Jan. 6 assault and she serves as vice chair. Trump has vowed to defeat Cheney in next year’s primary election by backing Republican Harriet Hageman, an attorney. Cheney, seeking a fourth term, said nothing less than the authority of the Constitution is at stake. “I think it’s going to be the most important House race in the country in 2022. And — and it will be one where people do have the opportunity to say, ‘We want to stand for the Constitution,’” Cheney said. “A vote against me in this race, a vote for whomever Donald Trump has endorsed, is a vote for somebody who’s willing to perpetuate the big lie, somebody who’s willing to put allegiance to Trump above allegiance to the Constitution, absolutely.”

Certainly, true.

"The Wyoming congresswoman criticized House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy of California for sticking with Trump after the assault on the Capitol. “What he’s done is embrace Donald Trump,” she said. “And if I were doing what he’s doing, I would be deeply ashamed of myself. I don’t know how you explain that to your children. When you are in a situation where you have somebody who did what Donald Trump did, it is absolutely clear he cannot continue to be somebody you embrace.”

No question.  Sadly, with rare exception, the Republican Party is no longer the party of Lincoln.  Has treasonously, traitorously embraced racist raw nazism.

In an NBC News editorial, Lux Alptraum opines:

"Granted, Cheney isn’t personally to blame for every anti-LGBTQ bill passed by Republican politicians. But as a high-ranking member of the Republican Party, she bears some responsibility for the actions of her peers — something government officials frequently have to contend with when they issue public apologies. When President Bill Clinton apologized for Cold War-era human radiation experiments in 1995, he wasn’t expressing regret for his own actions or even the actions of the current American government. Nevertheless, he still worked with his administration to enact policies that would safeguard future human research subjects and ensure that the similar abuses were never repeated.

"For Cheney’s apology to carry similar weight, it would have to start with a recognition that her opposition to queer rights was bigger than just a family squabble, that it wasn’t just her sister and her sister-in-law who wound up hurt. And there is at least some indication that she gets that. After she offered up her apology, Cheney went on to speak more broadly about the state of queer and trans rights in America, saying she’d recently met a young trans woman who confessed that she often doesn’t feel safe. “Nobody should feel unsafe. Freedom means freedom for everybody,” Cheney said."

Here's the problem:

"And yet once again, Cheney’s voting record undermines her stated values. As some of her colleagues in Congress have pointed out, it was just a few months ago that Cheney voted against the Equality Act — a landmark bill that would have expanded LGBTQ rights and protections against discrimination in housing, health care and education. Perhaps she experienced a radical change of heart in the last seven months. But if so, she needs to truly reckon with that — and acknowledge that her mistakes go far beyond some anti-equality remarks she made back in 2013. They’ve been part of her political identity as a high-ranking Republican for many, many years. This isn’t to say that Cheney’s recent statement is utterly worthless. Having a prominent public figure come out in support of LGBTQ rights is always a welcome sign of progress, all the more so when that prominent public figure is someone who formerly opposed LGBTQ equality. But that shift still says far more about how the culture has changed around Cheney than it does about Cheney herself. And until her actions and her voting record match the rhetoric she offers up on prime-time television, it’s hard to see her apology as anything more than one small step in the right direction. Cheney still has a long way to go to fully reckon with her past actions — and their actual consequences. Because apologies aren’t just about recognizing your past wrongs or publicly changing your stance on heated issues. They’re about repairing the damage unleashed by your mistakes. For Cheney, and for many other politicians, truly setting things right requires a whole lot more than just a sound bite on a TV show."

Certainly, true.  Yet, as you opine, indeed a step in the right direction.

NBC News reports:

"Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming lashed out at her fellow Republicans on Wednesday as they bashed Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, for remarks he reportedly made to Chinese counterparts and to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. At a House Armed Services Committee hearing on the chaotic and deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan, Cheney began her allotted five-minute round of questions by speaking about the attack on the Capitol before moving to what some her colleagues were saying about Milley. Cheney, one of two House Republicans who sit on a congressional panel investigating the Jan. 6 riot, noted that after the attack, many of her Republican colleagues voted to oppose verifying the electoral tally that showed Biden had won last year's election. They had no right to attack the top U.S. military officer for his reported actions when they had participated in the effort “to stop the constitutionally prescribed process of counting electoral votes,” she said. Following the riot, "many of the members of our constitutional system failed to do their duty," Cheney said. "Many of them punted, many of them today are still attempting to obstruct the investigation into that attack, attempting to whitewash what happened." “General Milley, you found yourself in your constitutionally prescribed role, standing in the breach, and for any member of this committee, for any American to question your loyalty to our nation, to question your understanding of our Constitution, your loyalty to our Constitution, your recognition and understanding of the civilian chain of command, is despicable,” Cheney said. “I want to apologize for those members of this committee who've done so, and I want to thank you for standing in the breach, when so many, including many in this room, failed to do so," she added."

The following is precisely why our military is the very best in the world.  Second to none.  The problem has never been the military per se.  It's the commander in chief, not to neglect to mention Congress.  Certainly, true in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq.  Four major undeclared wars that should never have been fought.  The Associated Press reports:

"In his first congressional testimony on the tumultuous withdrawal from Afghanistan, the top U.S. military officer called the 20-year war a “strategic failure” and said he believes the U.S. should have kept several thousand troops in the country to prevent the Taliban takeover that happened faster than forecast."

The war was certainly a strategic failure.  Should never have been fought.  An invasion and occupation of the country was not necessary to capture or kill bin Laden.  Hard to believe 2,500 troops could have forestalled the recent Taliban takeover.  Readers are reminded the Afghans have not lost a war against any foreign invader for centuries.  Including the Russians.

"Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, refused to say what advice he gave President Joe Biden last spring when Biden was considering whether to keep any troops in Afghanistan. But he told the Senate Armed Services Committee it was his personal opinion that at least 2,500 were needed to guard against a collapse of the Kabul government and a return to Taliban rule. In a blunt assessment of the outcome to a war that cost 2,461 American lives, Milley called it a strategic failure. “The enemy is in charge in Kabul,” he noted, referring to the Taliban having taken control of the capital on Aug. 15. “There’s no way else to describe that,” he said, adding that it’s possible the U.S. military’s biggest failure was to make the Afghan military overly dependent on an American presence and technology. Gen. Frank McKenzie, who as head of Central Command had overseen the final months of the U.S. war, said he agreed with Milley’s assessment. He also declined to say what he had recommended to Biden. The Senate hearing was at times contentious, as Republicans sought to portray Biden as having ignored advice from military officers and mischaracterized the military options the president was presented last spring and summer. Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., asked Milley why he did not choose to resign after his advice was rejected."

The General's response is certainly one of the reasons why our military is second to none, and why the United States is not a banana republic run by a military junta:

"Milley, who was appointed to his position as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by President Donald Trump and retained by Biden, said it was his responsibility to provide the commander in chief with his best advice. “The president doesn’t have to agree with that advice,” Milley said. “He doesn’t have to make those decisions just because we are generals. And it would be an incredible act of political defiance for a commissioned officer to resign just because my advice was not taken.”

No question.  Uncommon Valor.

"Testifying alongside Milley and McKenzie, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin defended the military’s execution of a frantic airlift from Kabul and asserted it will be “difficult but absolutely possible” to contain future threats from Afghanistan without troops on the ground. Under questioning, he, too, declined to say what advice he had given Biden about whether to make a full troop withdrawal. Milley cited “a very real possibility” that al-Qaida or the Islamic State group’s Afghanistan affiliate could reconstitute in Afghanistan under Taliban rule and present a terrorist threat to the United States in the next 12 to 36 months. It was al-Qaida’s use of Afghanistan as a base from which to plan and execute its attacks on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, that triggered the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan a month later."

Was not necessary to invade and occupy Afghanistan twenty years to nail bin Laden.  Certainly, a mistake to attempt to impose a democratic republic on a country that had no interest in becoming one.  Immediately, failed to fight back against the Taliban when the U.S. pulled out.  Certainly spent billions training them.  Provided billions in equipment.  Much additional equipment left behind.

“And we must remember that the Taliban was and remains a terrorist organization and they still have not broken ties with al-Qaida,” Milley said. “I have no illusions who we are dealing with. It remains to be seen whether or not the Taliban can consolidate power or if the country will further fracture into civil war.” Austin questioned decisions made over the 20-year course of the U.S. war in Afghanistan. In retrospect, he said, the American government may have put too much faith in its ability to build a viable Afghan government. “We helped build a state, but we could not forge a nation,” he told the Senate Armed Services Committee. “The fact that the Afghan army we and our partners trained simply melted away – in many cases without firing a shot – took us all by surprise. It would be dishonest to claim otherwise.”

Didn't surprise long-term critics of the war.  The problem since the Korean War has been the willingness of so many in this country to goose step in formation with our commanders in chief without questioning their aggressive stupidity.

"The withdrawal ended the longest war in U.S. history. The Biden administration, and some Democrats in Congress, have argued that Trump bears some of the blame for the war ending in a Taliban victory, since his administration signed a deal with the Taliban in 2020 that promised a full American withdrawal by May 2021. They also have pointed to a yearslong U.S. failure to build an Afghan military that could stand up to the Taliban. “This is not a Democratic or a Republican problem. These failures have been manifesting over four presidential administrations of both political parties,” Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I, said the day after the Taliban took over Kabul on Aug. 15."

This was a twenty year war of occupation that could never have been won.

In a second article, The Associated Press reports:

"The top U.S. military officer told Congress on Tuesday that he knew former President Donald Trump wasn’t planning to attack China and that it was his job to reassure the Chinese of that fact in the phone calls that have triggered outrage from some lawmakers. Army Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, delivered a vehement defense of two calls he made to his Chinese counterpart, saying he was responding to “concerning intelligence” that China was worried about a U.S. attack. “I know, I am certain, that President Trump did not intend to attack the Chinese. ... And it was my directed responsibility by the secretary to convey that intent to the Chinese,” Milley told the Senate Armed Services Committee. “My task at that time was to de-escalate. My message again was consistent: Stay calm, steady, and de-escalate. We are not going to attack you.”

Readers will recall:

"Milley has been at the center of controversy after reports that he made two calls to Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army to assure him that the United States was not suddenly going to go to war with or attack China. Details of the calls were first aired in excerpts from the recently released book “Peril” by Washington Post journalists Bob Woodward and Robert Costa. Some U.S. lawmakers have said Milley overstepped his authority, and they have called for President Joe Biden to fire him. Trump blasted Milley as treasonous, called him “a complete nutjob” and said Milley “never told me about calls being made to China.”

It is the Trump nazi who committed treason inciting the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the Capitol.  Why hasn't the son of a bitch been prosecuted?  Accorded special treatment not provided the bottom and middle class?  It's Trump's insanity that so rattled the Chinese that necessitated the calls made by Milley to the Chinese general.

"In his most extensive comments to date on the matter, Milley said the calls on Oct. 30 and Jan. 8 were fully coordinated with the defense secretaries at the time as well as other U.S. national security agencies. And he said that such military-to-military communications are critical to prevent war between great powers that possess nuclear weapons. The calls came during Trump’s turbulent last months in office as he challenged the results of the 2020 election. The second call came two days after Jan. 6, when a violent mob attacked the U.S. Capitol in an effort to prevent Congress from certifying Biden’s White House victory. Milley said the October call was made at the direction of then-Defense Secretary Mark Esper and the second was done at the request of the Chinese and coordinated with then-acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller’s office. Milley also addressed a call he received from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He said Pelosi “called me to inquire about the president’s ability to launch nuclear weapons. I sought to assure her that nuclear launch is governed by a very specific and deliberate process.” He said he assured her that while the president is the sole nuclear launch authority, “he doesn’t launch them alone.” He said that as chairman he is part of the launch decision process. “There are processes, protocols and procedures in place, and I repeatedly assured her there is no chance of an illegal, unauthorized or accidental launch,” Milley said."

Interestingly and not surprisingly:

"The book asserts that during the call, Milley agreed with Pelosi’s statement that Trump was suffering a mental decline after the election. During Tuesday’s hearing, Milley appeared to discount that, saying “I am not qualified to determine the mental health of the president of the United States.” He said that after the call was over, he had a short meeting with staff to go over the process. He also said he informed Miller of the call at the time. “At no time was I attempting to change or influence the process, usurp authority or insert myself in the chain of command, but I am expected, I am required, to give my advice and ensure that the president is fully informed,” Milley said."

Precisely, why this is not a banana republic run by a military junta.

"The issue of his calls did not come up in the Senate hearing until nearly three hours into the session. Milley was asked if he spoke with the book’s authors and he said he did talk with Woodward. Asked if he was “accurately represented” in the book, Milley said he hasn’t read it, but has seen press reporting on it. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., said she would get back to him once he has read the book."

The Washington Post reports:

"A Marine lieutenant colonel who publicly criticized the Biden administration for last month’s chaotic evacuation of American and allied troops and civilians from Afghanistan is now in a military brig for violating a gag order last weekend, his parents said in a short statement. Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller Jr. was incarcerated early Monday, they said on LinkedIn, after ignoring orders to refrain from posting on social media. Scheller, who was relieved of his command after his initial criticism of the evacuations, has been put in pretrial confinement at Camp Lejeune, N.C., according to Marine Corps spokesman Capt. Sam Stephenson. But Scheller doesn’t yet face charges, Stephenson said. “The allegations against Lt. Col. Scheller are merely accusations. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.” The lieutenant colonel stands accused of showing contempt toward officials, willfully disobeying a superior officer, failing to obey lawful orders and committing conduct unbecoming of an officer. The time, date, and location of his proceedings have not yet been determined, Stephenson said. Scheller’s representatives could not be reached."

Get this:

"Scheller was relieved of command shortly after posting a video on Facebook that demanded senior officials be held accountable for the Taliban’s sudden takeover of Afghanistan and the deaths of 13 American service members killed in a Kabul attack last month. He has said he plans to resign his commission. The video, which Scheller shared hours after the Kabul attack, has been viewed 1 million times and shared 66,000 times on Facebook. “I want to say this very strongly,” he said in the video. “I have been fighting for 17 years. I am willing to throw it all away to say to my senior leaders: I demand accountability.” Scheller has been critical of both Democrats and Republicans in subsequent social media statements. But he has appeared to attract more support from the political right for criticizing the Afghanistan withdrawal, including from Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Tex.) and former president Donald Trump, who shared a story about Scheller last month on his website. Scheller though has distanced himself from the former president and his supporters, saying on Sunday in a Facebook post that he doesn’t want his help. “I was told by everyone to kiss the ring because of your following and power. I refuse,” he said. Scheller has won sympathy from veterans who shared his frustration about Afghanistan. But his public questioning of the chain of command while still an active service mhttps://fatalencounters.org/ember has been interpreted by some in the military as an act of unwarranted defiance and as a challenge against civilian control over the armed forces. Other remarks from Scheller have been seen as more alarming. A LinkedIn video, posted a few days after his first video that attracted national attention, echoed the rhetoric used by some Jan. 6 insurrectionists, urging his supporters to follow him and bring the “system down.” Senior Biden administration officials have faced long sessions of questioning by lawmakers in Washington over the Afghanistan troop withdrawal. On Tuesday, senior Pentagon leaders said the haphazard withdrawal was a failure but refused to fault President Biden during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing. Lawmakers, depending on their party, tried to enlist the generals’ support in blaming either Trump or Biden for Afghanistan, The Washington Post reported. Secretary of State Antony Blinken had similar conversations with lawmakers earlier this month. The diplomat defended the Afghanistan exit, saying intelligence had failed to foresee the hurried collapse of Afghan government forces and that the administration had inherited a peace deal with the Taliban that compelled it to withdraw U.S. forces from the country soon. Democrats have said that withdrawing from Afghanistan would never have been clean, and they have pointed to the successful evacuation of hundreds of thousands of people by U.S. and allied forces as evidence of success. Republicans have expressed support for the decision to leave Afghanistan, but they have attacked the Biden administration for leaving behind hundreds of U.S. citizens, while questioning whether the deaths of the 13 American service members could have been avoided. Americans overwhelmingly support the decision to end the war, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll, but by a 2-to-1 margin, they disapprove of how the Biden administration handled the chaotic withdrawal."

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
