Getting online has gotten increasingly difficult and expensive last four months.  Worse, access is outside since most establishments are closed or limited to drive-thru operations.  Lap tops are not designed to be used in such an environment.  Extremely difficult to see the screen.  Time for the readership to step up and provide assistance.  TC 7-24-20

In response to the pandemic, government quickly imposed draconian restrictions making access to public wifi exceptionally difficult.  Consequently, editions of this publication will be briefer and posted as regularly as possible until circumstances change.  TC 3-20-20

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable.  Time to step up.  Now.

Brother dearest.  ... Been awhile, hasn't it, Bro?  A little antsy?  Wondering when the next shoe is about to fall, that is, when you'll be fully exposed for the thieving son of a bitch you truly are?  Patience.  All in good time, good buddy.  When I'm damned good and ready.  Timing just right.  After all, a son of a bitch who's stolen his father's estate needs to be fully exposed publicly for whom and what he is, don't you think?  Indeed, a public service for your neighbors, professional associates, family, and friends, etc..

Conveniently, forget?  Others need to protect themselves against a fraud who masquerades as both a teacher and a counselor, no?  -- How the hell did you ever pass an MMPI some forty years ago to get hired?  You're not stable.  Have not been.  ... Must have really been pissed off at the old man to rip off an estate, no?  How much did you steal while he was alive and supposedly under your care?

How much did you bribe law enforcement to ignore a complaint I filed with them years before the old man died?  How much did you bribe the prosecutor to ignore a complaint filed with her several years ago?  How much?  Use the old man's money to bribe the bitch?  Her cohorts?  Your law enforcement shysters?  While there may indeed be no justice from a corrupt system, fortunately, I do have a way to publicly expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.

... Unlike our grandmother who scrubbed floors on her hands and knees during the Depression for peanuts, only to have what little she had stolen by her son, our uncle, another goddamned thieving son of a bitch just like you.  Remember how, surprise, surprise, there was no life insurance when our grandfather died?  Despite the fact our grandmother gave her thieving bastard son premium money year after goddamned year?  Only, as the thieving son of a bitch he truly was, to have pocketed it.  Again, just like you.

Remember when he booted her out of the house she had bought him when he had had enough of her?  -- Despite the fact he had lied and promised she could stay the rest of her life?  She had to climb two flights of stairs on an ulcerated leg to get to a bathroom he had never built for her at ground level as falsely promised.   Nothing ever happened to the thieving son of a bitch as far as justice was concerned.  Worse, he was never exposed publicly for the thieving son of a bitch he truly was.

Will be different for you, Bro.  While you've bought off authorities, you will be publicly exposed.  In great detail.  In good time.  When I'm damned good and ready.  When exposure will do the maximum figurative damage to your goddamned sordid reputation.  -- Just the truth, brother dearest, however.  Just the truth.

Irony of ironies?  When the thieving son of a bitch died, and our mother was finally informed he had passed, she cried for her brother, -- the bastard thief who stole from her mother.  Sad, isn't it?  Too bad she's not still alive to see you publicly exposed for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you, yourself, truly are.  As was he.  Not in a court of law you've bought off, however.  Right here.

In good time.  Again, when I'm damned good and ready.  Employing the very same tactics used against Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo.  -- On steroids, however, since all dirty family laundry will be aired.  All of it.  No threat.  A promise.  Emails sent to your neighbors, friends, professional associates, businesses you deal with.  Although an enormous amount of work, all doable courtesy of the Internet.  Despite being some 1,800 miles away.  -- Small world, isn't it, Bro?  Enjoy the stolen loot, you son of a bitch.  Forget?  It's all you have.

Brother dearest.  Save all the check stubs from the old man's accounts?  Fraudulently sign any of them yourself?  Think this material couldn't be obtained from the banks either through discovery or a criminal investigation?  Still own the house on Condict Rd.?   Any other properties besides this one and the old man's you stole with the help of your shyster bastard? Be interesting to see how far your assets extend and where.  Think all that information isn't accessible?  That I won't determinedly obtain it?

That not only an extensive Internet search will be conducted that will likely take months to complete?  But an extensive background check as well?  Think the Catholic high school you attended shouldn't be informed of the thievery of one of its graduates?  Think the clerics there would be appalled at their failure to teach you right from wrong?  How about both universities?  Think neighbors in the old man's neighborhood won't be informed of your deception?  Think they don't have a right to know?

Ever follow the advice of Dr. Bert Wiser, psychological statistics professor at MSU?  That is, get treatment for your achingly debilitating instability?  Is that why you wound up looting the old man?  Or, is it simply a convenient excuse you'll use to defend the indefensible?  Think this will end any time soon?  That is, public exposure of you as a thieving son of a bitch?  We're just getting started, Bro.  Just getting started.

Don't like it?  Tough shit.  Sue me you thieving son of a bitch.  Would use discovery to learn and post on this website all there is to know about you, your activities, predilections, business 'deals,' as well as all your financial transactions, etc..  All of it.  Would certainly avoid the expense of an extensive background check on you, thieving brother dearest.

Even if you were successful in court, there is nothing for you to take, this remains, as well, a homesteading state where minimal assets are protected anyway.  This site is hosted in an overseas country that doesn't particularly like government intrusion, remains not prone to cooperate.  Besides, can always upload to another webhost in still yet another country.  The possibilities are endless, Bro.  Just takes willingness, effort, unshakable determination.

Even if I lost it all would be more than worth it to expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.  Even if you bribed a goddamned nazi 'judge' to remove posted material, would not cooperate and be more than willing to rot in jail.  Would certainly keep reposting it all no matter the cost and/or personal consequences every time it was taken down.  Forget, you thieving son of a bitch?  I never ever give up.

Since all I seek is your exposure for the thief you truly are, would all be worth it.  For the sake of principle.  All the work, financial cost, as well as the time I am about to dedicate to this effort, you deceptive, unstable, sick, thieving son of a bitch.  Unlike you, I live on principle and have absolutely nothing to lose.  You do.  Will certainly take great pleasure and satisfaction in doing all I can to publicly expose you for whom and what you are.

To say nothing of placing enormous pressure on prosecutors you and your equally corrupt shyster son of a bitch apparently bribed.  Don't like it?  Again, tough shit. Chew harder.  The public needs to know to protect itself.  From you and your shyster bastard.  People who live and travel in your circles as well.  Including his.  As a thief, you and he can't be trusted by anyone.  You'll determinedly f--k them.

More than willing to provide this truly public service.  People certainly need to know whom and what you are.  What you have sadly become.  You certainly weren't brought up to be a thieving son of a bitch.  What happened?  Where did you lose yourself, Bro?  -- Never mind.  ... Truly doesn't matter.  Only your exposure.

TC 4-22-16

Hey, Bro?  Remember me?  How soon they conveniently forget.  ... Half asleep? -- Out to lunch?  ... In your own perverse little world?  That of a criminal?  Wake up.  Conveniently, gutlessly forget?  Insanely believe you're someway, somehow off the hook?  Think again.  We're not done.  You remain a thief who will be exposed for whom and what your are.  What you certainly have become.  No question about that.  Patience, you thieving son of a bitch.  Exposure is coming.  Promise.

Think I don't have time?  Truly believe the ongoing Presidential fiasco ends no matter who wins?  The murderous decay in law enforcement gets resolved any time soon?  Criminal Wells Fargo employees from local Kingsland bank manager Amanda S. Wright right up to and including CEO John Stumpf get prosecuted in the near future despite egregious criminal activity?  Wouldn't hold my breath, would you?

Think I don't have time to handle all this and your public exposure for the estate-stealing criminal son of a bitch you've truly become?  How could you steal from the old bastard, you incredibly sad sack of shit?  Certainly weren't brought up to be a thief.  What happened to you?  Where'd you lose yourself?

No question, 2017 will be a most remarkable, defining year for you, Bro.  Public exposure for the thieving piece of shit you've sadly become.  It's on the way. Promise.  Hope you sue.  Nothing for you to take.  Tough, isn't it?  Certainly, makes me judgment proof.  Will certainly, as well, take advantage of discovery.  Publish every detail I can get my hands on.  No matter the consequences.  Only consideration?  Prime directive?  Your exposure for whom and what you are.

Readers?  This not-so-brotherly piece of shit stole from our father.  Manipulated the old man to line his pockets.  Just like our uncle on my mother's side of the family did to my grandmother.  Runs in the family.  Our family.   ... Right, Bro?  This game now gets played my way, -- not yours, you son of a bitch.  That is, no more U.S. Mail tag.

Anything sent by mail will be refused, returned unopened.  Want contact?  Email.  libertyinperil@riseup.net.  Quick.  Easy.  Better yet?  A digital record.  Permanent.  Easily accessible.  Easily uploaded to this site when and if it becomes necessary.  The shyster bastard you hired to steal the estate shouldn't expect escape, either, from public exposure as the thieving piece of shit he, like you, truly both are.  Unscrupulous thieves.

Sincerely hope that piece of crap sues as well.  Nothing to take.  Discovery again would be published no matter the personal cost.  Nothing quite like public exposure, is there?  Especially, when it is nothing but the truth and there is absolutely nothing to lose exposing two pieces of criminal shit for whom and what they are.  Two pieces of gutless human excrement who looted an old man.  ... Right, Bro?

There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers.  Glaring sunlight.  Dazzling brilliance.  Amazing how the roaches run for cover.  Equally pointedly, how vermin on two legs manage to so easily prey on the elderly courtesy of the out of control fascist police-state we now live in.  While there'll never be any justice vis a vis this theft, there will be exposure to the brilliant light of day for both criminal perpetrators.  Count on it, you not-so-brotherly criminal son of a bitch.

TC 10-7-16

Hey, Bro?  Hear of Old Sturbridge Village?  Haven't?  ... Not lying, are you, you thieving son of a bitch?  You and your long-term companion EC conspire, bequeath some of the old man's loot to this museum?  An achingly stingy gift of $250-$499, -- considering the size of the estate?  The CEO and Board have any idea you stole it?  Think they'd care?  -- Just getting started, dearest, dearest Bro.  ... Delusionally believe I haven't more than enough time, resources, determination to expose you for the thieving piece of crap you truly are?  ... Under $500 back in 2013?  Remarkably parsimonious with stolen money aren't you?   What does it feel like to have gutlessly ripped off an incompetent old man?  -- Dear old Dad.  Certainly, look forward to digging much deeper into how you and your shyster lawyer managed to bamboozle and loot the old bastard.  Back in the day, certainly wouldn't have fallen for your bullshit.  Would have kicked your worthless, thieving ass out the door.  Intend to expose it to the light of day.  Indeed, a public service. Seatbelts on, you thieving son of a bitch. Tally ho!

TC 3-24-17

... Brief aside, dear readers, for a most exceptional reason.  -- Although infrequent, pressing ongoing personal business must come first on rare occasion.  Hope you agree, moreover, find it entertaining, -- as this writer did crafting what follows.  Principle trumps all.  Remains prime mover, prime directive no matter what.

This pressing issue involves a family thief. A heartless predator preying on the elderly who must be held accountable, exposed to the light of day.  Especially, since authorities failed to do their job.  The following is part of that continuing effort to expose this piece of shit for whom and what he is:

Hey, Bro?  Guess what?  Me, again.  Most determined pain in the ass.  Miss me?  An inconvenient, nagging hemorrhoid that simply won't go away no matter what.  -- A pile with a smile that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

... Delusionally think this most persistent nemesis of yours conveniently disappeared to parts unknown, vanished in thin air? To give a turd a break?  Wake up.  Not a chance, you thieving son of a bitch.  ... When you insanely believe this writer's gone and you're finally in the clear, guess what, here I am, right in your face.

Despite what's going on across our formerly great country, always have more than enough time for personal business.  That is, exposing you, Bro, to the glaring light of day.  A pathetically greedy predator.  Your target, who else, the elderly.  Most defenseless, vulnerable, an easy fleece.  -- Thought you'd steal from the surly old curmudgeon with impunity, no consequences?

Successfully escape accountability? Avoid detection, all responsibility?  Blatant theft of an old man's estate?  A little help from a bought and paid for hopelessly greedy unprincipled shyster?  Supposed cake walk due to 1800 miles separation?  No one to hold you accountable?  Your feet to the fire?  What could you possibly been thinking?

You've read this publication before.  Know precisely who and what I am, what I do.  Never give up.  Never say die.  Ignore all obstacles.  Know full well Liberty In Peril modus operandi remains as relentlessly ferocious, blindingly intense as ever.

No punches pulled.  No slack.  No personal consideration.  Certainly, not for a gutless son of a bitch, no more than a thieving predator.  Looted target, guess who, dear old dad.  Pitiful.  Delusionally believe you had the booty coming?  An entitlement?  For having had to put up with his shit all those years?  Wake up.

Hear of Historic Deerfield?  Of course, you have, you lying son of a bitch.  Forget?  You're one of their not-so-generous 'benefactors.'  ... With all the money stolen from our father's estate, only bequeath them a piss poor $40 bucks?

Unbelievable.  An achingly tight, cheap, thieving, worthless piece of duplicitous crap.  ... Write-off?  Negligible.  ... Feather  in the cap?  How?  Delusionally believe your treachery would never see the light of day?  What planet do you live on?

Board of Trustees Chair Anne K. Groves know full well you looted the estate?  How about President Philip Zea?  Think both don't have a right to know?  How about Anne Lanning, Vice President For Museum Affairs?  To say nothing of Susan Martinelli, Vice President For Business Affairs?

These officials are entitled to know precisely whom they're doing business with.  A thief.  Gutless phony.  Blow-hard fraud.  Hoity-toity dandy.  Worse?  An unprincipled thief who stole from his father.  ... Glaring light of day sucks, doesn't it, Bro?  No escaping the unvarnished truth, this most bitter reality.  Not a chance.

Saddest of all?  Back in the day, Hell would have frozen over before anyone would have have been able to rip off the craggy old bastard.  Remember quite well how intent, determined he was not to be fleeced late in life by a sick son of a bitch like you.

A leech.  Ironic, isn't it?  Gutless rip off of an old man who couldn't adequately handle his affairs any longer.  How do you sleep nights?

Fraud runs in the family, clearly.  History repeating itself.  Right in the footsteps of our grandmother's son, who callously ripped off his mother decades ago.  Again, another achingly pathetic piece of human excrement.  Just like you.  Intend to lay it bare.  Methodically.  Painstakingly. In great detail.  Living, breathing color.

For all to see.  A public service.  Exposure of the criminal piece of human excrement you truly are.  For sustained public review.  A goddamned thief.  Pissed? Chagrined?  Nonplused?  Tough shit.  Sue.  Would certainly immediately post all discovery no matter the consequences.

All snail mail will be returned unopened.  No phone tag.  Got something to say? Email.  Say it right here.  On this website.  In public.  For the world to see.  Will be posted in its entirety.  No editing.  Unlike you, this writer doesn't lie, cheat, steal.  Honors his word.  Intend to expose you precisely for whom and what you are.

Duplicitous predator who preyed on his own father.  Blinding exposure to benefit the community.  Have nothing to lose providing this public service, but you do.  No better disinfectant than sunshine.

.. Think the old bastard not spinning in his grave?  -- Old lady not doing the same?  One thing for certain.  Neither brought you up to be a goddamned thief.  Yet, here we are.  ... Until next time, Tally Ho!

5-25-18

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Tim Chorney, Publisher
Liberty In Peril

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Two hundred seventy seven weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Two hundred seventy seven weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Two hundred seventy seven weeks.   Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

7-3-20

Last three months been getting online at the Kingsland HEB.  Met quite a few readers at the picnic table.  -- People I didn't personally know, but who came up and introduced themselves.  Certainly, grateful for your concern, caring, and moral support.  One of the Front End managers, Kevin, had granted permission to plug in and access HEB Customer wifi at the picnic table some three months ago.  Someone in County government must have subsequently complained. Three months after the fact.  LOL.  Finally got the boot 6-27-20 from the achingly gutless Store Manager who couldn't, or wouldn't stand up to pressure from this asshole.

Pathetic, isn't it?  LOL.  Certainly, knew it was coming.  Hard to believe it took three months.  LOL.  Apparently, the gutless Store Manager, Monty, sent out the second in command, Dan, to deliver the happy news.  Spoke to him awhile, but sadly as expected, he had nothing substantive to say.  Other than, "leave."  LOL.  Advised him to send out the clearly reluctant Store Manager who apparently wanted to avoid the encounter.  Finally, came out.  Imagine that.

Asked the Store Manager, Monty Young, for a business card.  Remarkably, he had none.  Couldn't be, could it?  LOL.  An HEB Store Manager with no business card?  How is that possible?  Unlimited corporate greed?  Aryan arrogance of a privately-owned corporation?  Or, was he simply lying?  Informed him he'd indeed be front and center in this next edition.

Before getting into specific detail vis a vis my conversation with the Store Manager, it must be stated staff at the Kingsland HEB is second to none.  Have known many of them for years.  Work extremely well together as a team.  Certainly, exceptionally customer-friendly.  The problem with this store is not staff.  Not even the Store Manager and Assistant Manager per se, -- who apparently, despite their denials, had been pressured by someone.  It's the HEB corporate management suite at the root of most of the problems at this store.

The following salient issues were discussed with the Store Manager before I left.  -- Interestingly, none of which he denied.  LOL.  Readers, have you noticed cheaper generic products are either continually out of stock or discontinued?  Especially, after the store changed its product line weeks before the pandemic.  Apparently, in an effort to emulate the Marble Falls store that caters to the Horseshoe Bay elite.

New larger shopping carts were brought in to the Kingsland store so shoppers would supposedly buy more product, increase store sales.  Shelves are restocked 24 hrs.  Staff was unhappy because aisles are too narrow for the larger carts.  Makes it harder to stock shelves when the store is open.  Not only that, makes it much more difficult for shoppers to navigate the narrow aisles.

Product pricing has steeply increased.  They accomplish this both by directly raising prices, as well as in engaging in deception, that is, downsizing product.  One recent glaring example is their generic bleach.  For awhile, it was unavailable, out of stock.  Then, it was downsized from three quarts to two.  Price remained at $1.  A 33% increase.  Done deceptively.  At a time when inflation is supposedly non-existent.  What ever happened to the HCF quart and a half ice cream that sold for $1.99?  Long since gone.  Both aforementioned products had already been downsized once before.  LOL.  List can go on and on.  Unbridled corporate greed.

As I reminded the Store Manager, Kingsland residents, for the most part, are poor, young, elderly, and/or disabled, etc.  This store now caters to the rich who live on the lake and Sunrise Beach.  Not sustainable.  ... Especially, if the shit finally hits the fan vis a vis the Trump nazi, and/or a second shutdown occurs courtesy of the raging, poorly-handled, achingly mismanaged pandemic.

To store employees, all of whom I admire, consider personal friends, courageously provide your ongoing grievances to this publication.  I will publish them while protecting your identity.  If you won't stand up, nothing changes.

As I informed the Store Manager, the problem in Kingsland is the fact HEB has no substantive competition.  What is desperately needed is a Walmart or other major corporation to rattle the cage of local HEB management as well as the corporate management suite.  Until that occurs, nothing changes, shit happens.  ... Right, Monty?  Dan?

In the last two and a half weeks or so, three middle-aged women tripped and fell on the curb by the picnic table.  Third time, 6-26-20.  Took the Store Manager and Assistant Manager quite some time to exit the store and arrive with ice to quell the swelling of the woman who had fallen hard on her face.  I subsequently asked Monty to consider painting the curb iridescent red or orange to avoid injury and a future lawsuit.

Responded couldn't be painted red since it wasn't a fire zone.  Could certainly be painted orange or some other bright color.  If management doesn't care about a lawsuit, where is its concern for the pain and suffering if a customer trips, falls, and suffers serious injury?  ... Couldn't care less, Monty?  -- Or, is it, shortsightedly, insurance will indeed take care of it?  Wake up.  Just a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured and sues the living shit out of HEB.  Even if HEB prevails in court, it loses.  Consider the cost of bad publicity.

To the credit of management, both the Store Manager and Assistant Manager return carts to the front of the store, sanitize them, and pick up trash.  Recently, associates informed me the Store Manager wasn't happy about the performance of the Assistant Store Manager.  LOL.  Apparently, ole' Dan got too good at hiding in the store, shirking cart and other duties, etc.  LOL.  That's apparently changed.  ... Trouble in paradise, boys?  LOL.  Itching to retire, Dan?  LOL.  Give me a break.  Never a dull moment, -- at customer and staff expense.

Finally, to the motherf--ker in County government who likely complained, don't flatter yourself.  Three months?  What took so long you gutless piece of shit?  LOL.  No matter what, Liberty In Peril will remain up and running.  Despite the fact it's been more than 21 years, just the very beginning.  Far more to come.  Far more County corruption, malfeasance, criminal activity to be followed up, and/or exposed.  LOL.  ... Bribed by Johnny Greene, Madam County Attorney?

Readers are advised there is a sticker on the back of the power supply stating:  "Please remove this sticker."  It cannot be easily removed.  Will not peel off.  Have hesitated to scrape it off since doing so might obliterate anything underneath it, -- if anything.  It is not covering a vent and there is no technical reason that it be removed.  Certainly, did not affect operation of the supply for the last year and four months I've had the machine.

Uncommon Valor.  United States Marines.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"Dave Severance, the Marine company commander whose troops planted the American flag on Iwo Jima during World War II, a moment captured in one of the most iconic war photographs in history, has died. He was 102. Severance died Monday at his home in the San Diego suburb of La Jolla, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune."

Readers will recall:

"Severance's company came ashore in the 10th wave of what eventually would be about 70,000 Marines invading the island, about 660 miles (about 1,000 kilometers) south of Tokyo. They were met by some 20,000 Japanese. On Feb. 23, 1945, the fifth day of fighting, about 40 members of Severance’s company were sent up Mount Suribachi with orders to plant the flag."

Uncommon Valor.

"When Navy Secretary James Forrestal, arrived on the island, he asked for it to be kept as a memento. After it was removed, Severance ordered a second group of Marines to replace the flag with a bigger one. The second raising of the flag on Mount Suribachi was captured in a dramatic photo by Associated Press photographer Joe Rosenthal who won a Pulitzer Prize. The Marines would keep the first flag, and the Navy secretary would get the replacement, which flew over Mount Suribachi for the rest of the battle. Both flags are now at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Va. Severance spent his retirement quietly trying to set the record straight that there were two flag-raisings that February morning in 1945. He cared about the flag story, he told the Union-Tribune in a 2012 interview, because it spoke to the courage and sacrifice he witnessed every day for more than a month during the battle, one of the bloodiest of the war. About 75 percent of his company were wounded or killed."

Uncommon Valor.  Best of the very best.

"Severance earned a Silver Star. Born Feb. 4, 1919, in Milwaukee, Severance grew up in Colorado and joined the Marines in 1938. After leading Marines in WWII, he went on to fly nearly 70 missions in Korea as an aviator. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1968. His death was first reported Wednesday by The New York Times, which attributed the information about his passing to his family. Survivors include two daughters, Nina Cohen and Lynn Severance; two sons, Dave Jr. and Mike Severance; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his second wife, Barbara, who died in 2017."

Law enforcement steps up, rises to the occasion.  Indeed, a public service.  ABC News reports:

"Sheriff's deputy overdoses after exposure to fentanyl during arrest. The video was released to promote public safety. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department released body camera footage of the crucial moments in which a deputy saved another’s life after he was overdosed from fentanyl exposure during an arrest last month. Deputy David Faiivae was a trainee at the scene of the arrest on July 3 when he was exposed to the deadly opioid, Field training officer Cpl. Scott Crane says in the video. He said that Faiivae was exposed to the fentanyl while processing evidence during their first call of the day. “He found a white substance that he suspected was drugs,” Crane said in the video. “I was like, ‘Hey dude, too close. You can’t get too close to it.’ And a couple seconds later, he took some steps back and collapsed.” The bodycam footage showed Crane administering naloxone, also known as Narcan, to Faiivae. The FDA-approved drug is meant to counteract the effects of an opioid overdose. “I remember not feeling right, and then I fall back and I don’t remember anything after that,” Faiivae said in the video. “I was trying to gasp for breath, but I couldn’t breathe at all.” The video was released by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department to promote public safety and highlight the dangers of Fentanyl. The synthetic opioid is 80 to 100 times more potent than morphine and 50 times more potent than heroin, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. In 2019, over 70% of overdose deaths in the U.S. were traced back to opioids, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “It’s an invisible killer,” said Crane. “He would have died in the parking lot if he was alone.”

This drug is a man-made curse.  Responsible for so many deaths.  Hat's off to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department for releasing the video as a public service.  Thankfully, the Deputy recovered.

Sadly, truth, however, has indeed become a moving target.  Hours after writing the above, the following article was posted by NBC News:

"Sheriff's body camera video of a deputy apparently passing out after a superior cautioned him that the drugs he had seized were "super dangerous" went viral with national news coverage Friday, but not before some experts expressed doubts about the scenario. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department released body camera video of the July 3 incident Thursday, more than a month after the seizure of what deputies said was confirmed to be synthetic opioid fentanyl, a drug that has defied border barriers and boosted annual overdose deaths here by 200 percent last year. The department billed the video as a cautionary tale about just how potent fentanyl, known for inspiring hazmat responses to suspected drug houses, can be. "My trainee was exposed to fentanyl and nearly died," Cpl. Scott Crane said in the video. While the sheriff's department stands by the video as an archive of what one of the world's deadliest street drugs can do just by being in its presence, some experts see it as an improbable, if not impossible, incident. They point to research that has yet to validate law enforcement claims that just being near the drug, or touching it, can lead to overdoses. "We have a lot of scientific evidence and a good knowledge of chemical laws and the way that these drugs work that says this is impossible," said Ryan Marino, medical director for toxicology and addiction at University Hospitals in Cleveland. "You can't just touch fentanyl and overdose," he said. "It doesn't just get into the air and make people overdose." Academics at University of California, San Diego and North Carolina's nonprofit RTI (Research Triangle International) published a paper in June in the peer-reviewed International Journal of Drug Policy that concluded there are no confirmed touch-based cases of first responder fentanyl overdoses, even when naloxone was used to revive them. Citing similar conclusions on skin contact from the American College of Medical Toxicology and the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology, the International Journal of Drug Policy paper also suggested that panic attacks were at work, and that hyperbolic information about fentanyl didn't help. The researchers at UC San Diego and RTI blamed social media and the U.S. government for "dubious information about fentanyl risks." Regarding airborne fentanyl, researchers have said it would take a lot of it, and a longtime in its presence, to cause an overdose. Tara Stamos-Buesig, executive director of the Harm Reduction Coalition of San Diego, says she's faced potential fentanyl exposure nearly everyday when she hands out clean needles to addicts in a bid to prevent the kind of Hepatitis A nightmare among local homeless that sparked a statewide emergency in 2017. "I haven't had a response" to being near the drug, she said. The peer-reviewed Journal of Emergency Medical Services has suggested "growing hysteria" about fentanyl for the adverse first responder responses and said "victims complain of a variety of nonspecific symptoms including dizziness, anxiety, fatigue, dyspnea, nausea, vomiting and syncope." Deputy David Faiivae, who was standing at the rear of a patrol SUV processing the drugs allegedly found in a nearby Jeep, said on the video: "I remember not feeling right, and then I fell back. I don’t remember anything after that." NBC News tried to contact the deputy through the department but did not get an immediate response. Crane had just told him: "That stuff’s no joke dude. It’s super dangerous."

No question.  It is a dangerous drug that has resulted in death.  That, however, is not the issue here.  It is whether or not the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department staged the video.

"Sheila P. Vakharia, deputy director of research and academic engagement at the Drug Policy Alliance, said by email that the video contributes to "opioid phobia" and the most egregious aspects of the unsuccessful war on drugs. She said three out of four people charged in fentanyl cases are Black and Latino and that they face longer sentences than those targeted for other drugs. The video "strengthens public support for more drug enforcement because these drugs are viewed as so lethal that we must get them off the streets at any cost," Vakharia said. "It grows public support for harsher penalties for these substances and for people who sell them, doubling down on the failed drug war tactics of the past." She, like Stamos-Buesig, said Faiivae's reaction to the drug didn't look anything like opioid overdoses they've seen. "It is clear that the trainee was so afraid and nervous that he likely had an extreme anxiety response to whatever he was handling," Vakharia said. Others say cops collapsing at the scene of drug busts could dissuade other first responders from giving needed care, and it could make those reaching for 911 when friends are in distress think twice. Annick Bórquez, an assistant professor of infectious diseases and global public health at UC San Diego, said by email, "I do think there is a true danger in creating fear around inadvertent fentanyl exposure as it might further limit much needed initiatives to increase overdose responses." This year the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, reflecting its leftward political drift and the river of fentanyl from Mexico, changed its stance from opposing harm reduction to promoting it, including widespread naloxone distribution and support for needle exchange programs. One thing law enforcement, medical researchers and harm-reduction groups seem to agree on when it comes to opioids is this: Having naloxone on-hand, as the sheriff's department does, is a proven lifesaver. While it's true that mega-potent fentanyl has flooded California and led to a dark wave of overdose deaths, it's also true that the potential heart-stopper, described as being more than 30 times more potent than old-school heroin, has been around for more than 60 years. Synthetic opioids first made a splash on the black market in 1979, when two men in adjacent Orange County died after overdosing on what they believed was heroin. The drugs were sold as "China white," which didn't inspire the first-responder safety concerns of today. In legitimate medical settings, fentanyl is a legal analgesic used for pain relief. A sheriff's spokeswoman, Lt. Amber Braggs, said she was working on answering a number of questions, including how the department came to the medical conclusion that Faiivae was felled by breathing in or touching fentanyl. The video states the cache at the scene had just been field tested and turned up positive for the drug. Braggs said details of Faiivae's diagnosis were protected by the federal HIPAA privacy rule, although it didn't stop the department from publicizing his medical emergency, and the law doesn't cover law enforcement."

Truth, however, has to be the guiding principle in all this.  When law enforcement lies, and/or distorts reality, it is a disservice to the public.  Remains counterproductive to the best interests of law enforcement as well.  Exacerbates distrust.  Not only that, prohibition of alcohol was a massive failure.  Led to creation of the Mafia and all the criminal activity that engendered.  Similarly, drug prohibition has done nothing to reduce drug usage.  Has, however, corrupted every police agency in our formerly great country to at least some extent.

"She pointed to information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to support the department's contention that the deputy was a victim of rare skin or airborne exposure. Shane Harris, president of the People’s Association of Justice Advocates, a national civil rights organization based in San Diego, alleged the department has a credibility deficit with some of the communities it serves, and called on it to release all the body camera footage, including Faiivae's, from that day. "We need to know exactly how this happened from the deputy's perspective," he said by email."

Truth, sadly, remains a moving target as our formerly great country continues to deteriorate.  As more information becomes available, the above will be updated.

A 7-year old decades ahead of his time.  Seatbelts on.  ABC News reports:

"A 7-year-old isn’t letting bullies get him down and says he wants to help others do the same. Rowyn Montgomery, from Tiverton, Rhode Island, was picked on at school for his appearance. After talking about it with his mom, he decided to make motivational videos and post them online to help anyone else out there who might be going through the same thing. "We just kind of talked about how you need to embrace yourself and how it’s not important what other people think of you," Rowyn’s mom, Michelle Montgomery, told ABC News. "It’s important to just be yourself and he really took that to heart. He really wanted to do videos after we talked about that." "Before when I used to be picked on in school about having my unibrow, I used to feel a little bit upset," Rowyn said. "So I stopped feeling upset and started to make videos so people can embrace themselves and feel happy if the same thing happens to them." In one of his recent videos, Rowyn talks about how everyone is different and "good in their own ways." "People are different sizes," he says in the video. "People are different colors. Everyone can be themselves." Rowyn has been making the videos since he was 4 years old, but only recently started posting them online. "I'm so beyond proud," Montgomery said of her son. Rowyn enter second grade this fall, and hopes to follow in his mom's footsteps when he grows up. She currently works in the behavioral health field as a case manager and helps people with mental illness. For anyone worried about starting a new grade, Rowyn said to "embrace yourself." "If you're worried there's going to be bullies, and if there is, you can tell them, 'I’m myself and since I'm in this grade I can be myself. It doesn’t matter what other people think about me. It matters what I think about myself,'" he said."

... Were the above all that had to be covered in this publication:

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Egregious abuse of power by the jackbooted nazis in ICE.  NPR reports:

"For years, activist Maru Mora-Villalpando has organized hunger strikes to protest conditions at an immigrant detention center in Washington state. By 2017, she'd gotten the attention of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. One high-ranking ICE officer described her as an "instigator" in an internal email. Another responded that Mora-Villalpando was a "well-known local illegal alien," and suggested that trying to deport her might "take away some of her 'clout.'" A few weeks after those emails, ICE placed Mora-Villalpando, who was born in Mexico, in deportation proceedings."

Out of control jackbooted pieces of shit.  Raw nazism.

"For immigrant rights advocates, that email exchange is vindication of what they've been saying for years: that ICE deliberately retaliates against activists. It's a charge ICE consistently denies. But advocates say there's a growing body of evidence that can't be ignored — and they're urging the Biden administration to do something about it."

Figuratively, heads need to roll in this jackbooted organization.

"Federal immigration officials are engaged in "a sustained campaign of ICE surveillance and repression against advocacy groups and activists," according to a new report prepared by The University of Washington School of Law Immigration Clinic, with input from immigrant rights activists across the country. The report draws on interviews, court filings and documents obtained through Freedom Of Information Act requests. It documents a range of allegations from around the country — Texas, Washington state, Vermont, North Carolina and Illinois — where advocates say they've been intimidated, spied on, and even deported for their activism. "Some of the stories of activist retaliation have previously been told piecemeal, allowing someone to make the case that this is really about a couple of rogue officers from a particular field office," says Sejal Zota, the legal director of Just Futures Law, one of the groups behind the new report. "Documenting the accounts of groups from around the country, I think it becomes clear that this is a broad and national problem."

This is a cancer that has overtaken all law enforcement in our formerly great country.  Called nazism.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"ICE denies retaliating against anyone. The agency says it is simply enforcing immigration law against people who are living in the country illegally."

Like their former fuhrer, the Trump nazi, they're congenital liars.  Sadly, present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

"ICE condemns retaliatory enforcement against individuals who exercise their First Amendment right to speech and assembly," an agency spokesman said in a statement. "Like all other law enforcement agencies, ICE monitors planned protests to ensure the safety and security of its infrastructure, personnel, officers and all those involved."

No credibility.  None.

"But sometimes, activists come to ICE's attention because of their work. Mora-Villalpando, 50, did not try to hide her immigration status. She came to the U.S. from Mexico City and has lived here since the 1990s after overstaying a tourist visa. She has no criminal record. Mora-Villalpando openly discussed her immigration status in interviews, even as she co-founded a group called La Resistencia and began protesting conditions at ICE detention centers in 2014. Immigration authorities did not place Mora-Villalpondo in deportation proceedings until years later — around the same time that two U.S. representatives from Washington state asked to bring her along as one of their guests on a tour of ICE's Northwest Detention Center, as it was known then, in Tacoma, Wash. "As she self-proclaims to be an illegal alien, we should plainly say to the Congresspersons that she should not be allowed into the facility," wrote Marc Moore, the incoming head of ICE's Seattle field office, in an email in November of 2017."

A raucous boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Seig Heil!, Mr. Moore.  Who better, more qualified to challenge the nazi bullshit, abuse of power in ICE gulags, sir?

"At the time, the Trump administration had recently lifted Obama-era policies that limited who ICE agents could target for arrest or deportation. Under Trump's enforcement rules, ICE officers were free to detain anyone they encountered who was in the country illegally — including activists like Mora-Villalpando. "In fact, we have been planning on placing her into proceedings," Moore wrote. "It will of course, make the news. But we cannot continue to ignore here [sic] status here under the new enforcement policies." If ICE was trying to silence Mora-Villalpando, it didn't work. She fought the agency in court, eventually obtaining internal agency emails and other documents — including the email where Moore suggested that placing her in removal proceedings might diminish her "clout." "I even had to look up that word. I didn't know that word in English," Mora-Villalpando said in an interview with NPR. Still, she says, "It was very clear that ICE didn't like my work."

What jackbooted nazi would?

"Advocates say Mora-Villalpando's case and others documented in the new report are textbook examples of retaliation, and they want the Biden administration to address it. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was asked about alleged retaliation during an interview in April at a virtual conference organized by the University of California, Los Angeles Center for Immigration Law and Policy. "That is unacceptable," Mayorkas said. "Retaliation in response to the constitutionally protected right of free speech — and quite frankly, the civic obligation to protest government positions with which one disagrees — that's just unacceptable." When asked whether he would consider reviewing cases of alleged retaliation, Mayorkas said he'd want to look more deeply into specific allegations first. "I do owe it to my colleagues in the department to give them due process with respect to the basis of the removal. And I have not delved into the evidence and I do believe in doing so," he said."

That's called bullshit.  Unadulterated double talk.  Par for the course in a de facto fascist police-state.

"Immigrant advocates were glad to hear Mayorkas condemn retaliation. But they want the administration to go a step further. They're calling on Mayorkas to take a formal stand against retaliation in the official ICE enforcement guidelines he's expected to issue in the next few months. Specifically, activists want immigration officials to exercise "prosecutorial discretion" in the cases of organizers and activists, and to bring home immigrants who were deported or targeted for deportation because of their work. Otherwise, activists say, they're concerned that retaliation and surveillance of activists will continue. Activist Claudia Muñoz says ICE banned her and a colleague from visiting immigrants at a detention center in Texas. "They had printed our licenses and put them on the wall of the detention center, and said, 'These folks are not allowed inside,' " Muñoz tells NPR. ICE never told Muñoz why she was banned from the facility, she says. But she suspected it was in retaliation for her work as the co-director of Grassroots Leadership, an immigrants' rights group in Austin, Texas. The group had recently helped expose the story of a woman who said she was sexually abused by a guard at the T. Don Hutto Residential Center in Taylor, Texas."

Could it be she was banned because ICE goons feared she'd expose the truth?  Had far too much credibility?

"Muñoz's lawyers filed a Freedom of Information Act request to find out more. That's how she learned that ICE had been gathering information about her — including her immigration records, as well as surveillance videos and photos from her personal social media accounts. That was particularly terrifying for Muñoz because she was undocumented at the time, as were members of her family who also appeared in the photos. "It was really disturbing what they were doing," Muñoz says. "I was scared for my family." Ultimately, ICE did not take any further action against Muñoz or her family. An immigration judge granted her permanent residency in March."

Jackbooted law enforcement depends on fear to abuse power.  Worse?  How it gets its cookies off.

"Mora-Villalpando is still fighting her deportation case. Since the agency placed her in removal proceedings, activists in Washington succeeded in pushing the state to prohibit for-profit detention centers. They hope to shut down the ICE detention facility in Tacoma by 2025. In her case, Mora-Villalpando believes ICE's aggressive tactics backfired. "They gave us a larger microphone, you know, a larger bullhorn to say this is wrong and this is why we're going to continue fighting," she says. "I've always believed that when we get attacked, it's because they're afraid of us."

Sadly, great truth to that.  -- The greater the abuse, the greater the fear.  Raw nazism.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Justice Department launches investigation into Phoenix law enforcement.  NBC News reports:

"The Justice Department launched a civil rights investigation of the Phoenix police department Thursday, looking at whether police use excessive force, treat minorities differently, and deal properly with the disabled and homeless. Phoenix police face lawsuits and widespread complaints over their response to Black Lives Matter protests last year. One suit claims the police filed false felony charges after rounding up 124 people, chasing then and firing tear gas. Attorney General Merrick Garland said the investigation will examine whether officers use excessive force, engage in discriminatory policing, violate free expression, respond improperly to people with disabilities, and violate the rights of the homeless by seizing and disposing of their property. Garland and Kristen Clarke, the assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, said the Phoenix mayor and police chief were briefed on the investigation Thursday morning and pledged their full support."

Think so?  Believe it?

"When we conduct pattern or practice investigations to determine whether the Constitution or federal law has been violated, our aim is to promote transparency and accountability. This increases public trust, which in turn increases public safety," Garland said. The Justice Department earlier this year opened similar investigations of the police department in Minneapolis, following the death of George Floyd, and Louisville, Kentucky, after the death of Breonna Taylor. In August, Arizona released body camera video showing the arrest of a man who died in custody after he was held on asphalt for several minutes in 100-degree heat. Garland said the issue of how police respond to calls involving people with physical or mental disabilities is an important one for the nation. "Our society is straining the policing profession by turning to law enforcement to address a wide array of social problems. Too often we asked law enforcement officers to be the first and last option for addressing issues that should not be handled by our criminal justice system."

No question.

"The attorney general also said states must do more to head off evictions during the Covid crisis. More evictions, he said, would add to the crisis of homelessness. He said the Justice Department intends to defend the latest moratorium on evictions issued by the Centers for Disease Control. Many legal experts have said the Supreme Court sent a strong signal in late June that the CDC lacks authority to impose such a sweeping moratorium."

Expect better of a nazi 6-3 Republican-owned Supreme Court?

CBS News reports:

"The Justice Department has opened an investigation into the City of Phoenix and the Phoenix Police Department to determine whether police in the city have a pattern or practice of violating residents' Constitutional rights. The probe will assess the department's use of force incidents and determine whether officers engage in discriminatory policing, retaliate against people engaged in First Amendment-protected activity and unlawfully seize or dispose of items belonging to people experiencing homelessness. It will also examine the city and the department's practices for responding to people with disabilities."

Here's the problem:

"The city's police department has faced criticism over its handling of protests and over police shootings, including in 2018 when a report found the city had the most officer-involved shootings in the country (44), which was more than double the city's numbers in 2017."

Trigger-happy.

"An analysis by The Arizona Republic documented a drop to 15 police shootings in 2019, but another increase to 26 police shootings in 2020. The paper's analysis found people of color were shot at higher rates than White people, and that officers most often used deadly force while in mostly Black and Hispanic communities last year."

So what else is new?

"The Justice Department will also determine whether "sweeps" targeting people experiencing homelessness and seizing their belongings violate 4th and 14th amendment rights. Federal officials say they will work with the city, the department and the community to determine whether there's reasonable cause to believe Constitutional violations are happening, said Kristen Clarke, the assistant attorney general. If they do, the Justice Department will issue a report describing its findings and then work with local authorities on solutions. The department would be authorized to seek remedies to any Constitutional violations through litigation."

Sounds like empty, hollow rhetoric, --  especially in light of the following:

"Federal officials say the investigation is the 73rd it's conducted under the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, which authorizes federal officials to use civil litigation to remedy patterns and practices of Constitutional violations by state or local governments. Similar investigations have been recently launched in Minneapolis and Louisville. "When we conduct pattern or practice investigations to determine whether the Constitution or federal law has been violated, our aim is to promote transparency and accountability," Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a statement. "This increases public trust, which in turn increases public safety. We know that law enforcement shares these goals."

Really?  LOL.

"Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and Phoenix police Chief Jeri Williams are supportive of the probe, Clarke said. DOJ officials will meet with command staff as well as community members to determine their experiences with officers and review training, policies, body-worn cameras, incident reports and other documentation, Clarke said. The investigators will review systems of accountability, how complaints are investigated and how discipline is imposed, Clarke said."

To what end?  What change?  Give me a break.  Empty rhetoric.  Certainly, since 1994.  No credibility.  Zero.  Rings hollow:

"One of the highest priorities of the Civil Rights Division is to ensure that every person in this country benefits from policing that is lawful, effective, transparent, and free from discrimination," Clarke said. "Police officers across the country must use their authority in a manner that adheres to the Constitution, complies with federal civil rights laws and respects human dignity."

The Associated Press reports:

"The Justice Department on Thursday said it was launching a widespread probe into the police force in Phoenix to examine whether officers have been using excessive force and abusing people experiencing homelessness. The investigation into the City of Phoenix and the Phoenix Police Department is the third sweeping civil investigation into a law enforcement agency brought by the Justice Department in the Biden administration and comes as the department has worked to shift its priorities to focus on policing and civil rights. Few such investigations were opened during the Trump administration."

Expect better of a nazi president?

"Attorney General Merrick Garland said the probe will also examine whether police have engaged in discriminatory policing practices and will work to determine if officers have retaliated against people engaged in protected First Amendment activities. In June, the top prosecutor in Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix, permanently dismissed charges that included gang allegations against more than a dozen people arrested at an October 2020 protest against police brutality. The move came amid complaints from civil rights advocates that Phoenix police and prosecutors were pursuing gang charges as part of abusive political prosecutions intended to silence dissent and scare protesters. Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, a Democrat, hailed the Justice Department investigation and said it will help with ongoing police reform measures she has been pushing since taking office in 2019. “Public safety reform is an ongoing process in Phoenix, and now, with the help of the USDOJ, this robust program will continue,” Gallego said in a statement."

Think so?  Think that's possible under current circumstances?  That is, a de facto fascist police-state throughout our formerly great country?  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.  Particularly egregious, the embrace of fascism by the State of Arizona:

"The city has implemented a new program to respond to mental health calls by placing behavioral health professionals in the field. The city also has a new office of police accountability that is charged with independently investigating allegations of wrongdoing by officers. That office may be hamstrung, however, by a new state law signed by Republican Gov. Doug Ducey that limits civilian review boards like the one Phoenix has set up."

A raucous boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Seig Heil!, Governor.

"City Councilman Sal DiCiccio, a frequent defender of Phoenix police, said the department ”has been under extreme attack by activists bent on defunding the police.” “I welcome another set of eyes to see what we already know: that we have a department staffed by dedicated individuals who go to great lengths to protect our community, and do so honorably and fairly,” he said in a statement."

What a crock of shit.  Your embrace of nazism, Councilman, is a goddamned disgrace.  Egregious violation of your oath of office to uphold the United States Constitution.

"Part of the investigation will also examine whether police officers have been violating the rights of people who are experiencing homelessness by “seizing and disposing of their belongings in a manner that violates the Constitution,” Garland said. The new investigation is known as a “pattern or practice” — examining whether there is a pattern or practice of unconstitutional or unlawful policing — and is generally a sweeping review of the entire police department. In announcing the probe, Garland also pointed to what he described as “straining the policing profession by turning to law enforcement to address a wide array of social problems.” “Too often we asked law enforcement officers to be the first and last option for addressing issues that should not be handled by our criminal justice system,” he said “This makes police officers’ jobs more difficult, increases unnecessary confrontations with law enforcement and hinders public safety.” Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke said investigators will meet with police officers and supervisors, review body camera video, along with training materials and other records. She said the Justice Department spoke with Phoenix city officials and they had expressed support for the probe. “Protecting the rule of law demands that those who enforce our laws also abide by them,” Clarke said. The Justice Department had reviewed an array of publicly available information, including lawsuits and news reports before it decided to open the Phoenix investigation, Clarke said. The police force has come under fire in recent years for its handling of protests and the high number of shootings. One lawsuit alleged that police and prosecutors colluded to target protesters during a demonstration last summer. In February, a local television station reported that a team of police officers had celebrated shooting a protester in the groin during another protest with commemorative coins they would share. “We found that the evidence here warrants a full investigation, but we approach this process with no predispositions or pre-drawn conclusions,” Clarke said. Earlier this year, the Justice Department announced it was opening similar investigation into police forces in Minneapolis, after the death of George Floyd, and in Louisville, Kentucky, after the death of Breonna Taylor."

Will take a hell of a lot more than empty rhetoric to force desperately needed change.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms on this and many, many, many other issues.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Another savage beating of an inmate.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"A man was brutally beaten by corrections officers and denied medical treatment at a county jail in a small New Mexico community after guards mistook dentures in the inmate's mouth for contraband, according to a civil rights lawsuit. The New Mexico Prison and Jail Project, a watchdog group for improving prison conditions, filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court this week on behalf of former inmate Marvin Silva. The group said Silva was left naked in a holding cell at the Valencia County Adult Detention Center with no security cameras after a medical checkup, when a guard insisted that the inmate was hiding contraband in his mouth. The lawsuit said said several other corrections officers arrived and beat Silva at the lockup in the community of Los Lunas, about 30 minutes from Albuquerque. The lawsuit seeks unspecified monetary compensation for Silva for injuries and emotional harm plus punitive damages against the jail and health care employees and attorney’s fees. Administrators at the Valencia County detention center did not immediately respond Friday to phone messages seeking comment. County officials referred questions to attorneys who did not immediately respond to phone and email messages. The lawsuit levels charges of excessive use of force at four corrections officers and accuses Texas-based prison health care provider CorrHealth and two of its employees of deliberate indifference to a person in serious medical need. CorrHealth President Todd Murphy said Thursday that he could not comment on details of an active legal claim. “Allegations such as these are important to us, as is ensuring we’re providing a high standard of care,” Murphy said in an email. “Our team will be closely reviewing these allegations and this claim.”

Think so?

"According to the lawsuit, medical personnel at the jail denied Silva's requests for medical care before he was released to walk 5 miles (8 kilometers) toward home and hitched a ride the rest of the way. An ambulance later transported Silva to an Albuquerque hospital that treated him for fractured ribs, a collapsed lung, injuries to the spleen and other injuries to the head, neck and abdomen."

Time to consider removal of resource officers from our schools.  NBC News reports:

"From a young age, Shana Johnson has taught her two teenage boys to be calm with police officers, even with the ones they encounter at school because she knows that Black boys are disproportionately targeted for disciplinary actions and even arrests."

Called racism.  How the jackbooted bastards get their cookies off.

"Her children, aged 13 and 17, attend the South Bend public school system in northern Indiana and have told her they often feel intimidated and closely monitored by school resource officers. “It’s not a positive learning environment for kids to have officers walking around constantly,” said Johnson, who has been researching data on school policing over the last year. She’s one of several parents and public school teachers who are fighting to convince administrators that police officers should not remain in the South Bend public school system because their presence causes psychological harm to students of color and funnels them into a school to prison pipeline."

Sad, isn't it?  Inexcusable.

"Policing in schools continues to be debated across the country in an ongoing racial re-examination, with many districts still struggling with what to do in light of robust data showing the disparate treatment of minority students. Many justice experts say policing has been so deeply intertwined with schooling that parting with the programs can be a hard pill to swallow for districts."

Should never have been in the schools in the first place.  Far too easy for the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue to abuse authority.  Get their cookies off at the expense of students.

"While most cities began posting officers at schools in the 1990s, South Bend has a much deeper history reaching to the 1960s, when officers were put into schools to manage Black children during school desegregation, according to records in the Library of Congress."

Outrageous bullshit.  -- Not Black kids who needed management.  Quite the contrary, was the criminal, racist, jackbooted bastards in blue desperately in need of it.

"The program is deeply entrenched, but the rising momentum of racial accountability after the murder of George Floyd triggered the South Bend Community School Corporation, which oversees 33 public school facilities, to open discussions by sending out a community survey and holding a town hall about the officer program in June. Black students make up 37 percent of the district's 16,200 students. Brandon White, the assistant superintendent of the South Bend Community School Corporation, said the efforts were made in response to community calls to remove officers but added that there has also been widespread support for the program, which employs seven officers who patrol four high schools and six middle schools. The program cost the city, the school district and the police department, which shared the expense, over a half-million dollars last year. White said that the district is not likely to eliminate the program entirely; instead, it is wrestling with how to improve it in light of community concerns."

Not possible.  No more than figuratively placing a Band Aid on an arterial wound.  The jackbooted bastards in blue remain hopelessly out of control.

More unadulterated bullshit, worthless double talk:

“We have to be aware of the bias that is represented in some of the decisions that we’ve seen across our country when it involves police interaction with minorities, and so what we can do to make sure that our community does not have those same types of situations is educate our children but also our law enforcement about how to work with our community," he said."

It's not the kids who are the problem.  It's the racist, jackbooted bastards in blue who get their cookies off abusing power.  Yet, the system refuses to see the true nature of the problem.  Remains determined to maintain an unsustainable status quo.

"At least 33 schools districts have ended school resource officer programs, including the Minneapolis, Columbus, Ohio, and Portland, Oregon, districts, while Chicago and Los Angeles have significantly reduced budgets, according to a database compiled by Education Week."

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.

System remains desperately determined to maintain an unsustainable status quo at the expense of students it continues to deliberately f--k over:

"But as the call to remove officers from education settings rises, most districts have decided to keep them and instead are opening up discussions about how to update memorandums of understanding, which guide officers’ conduct."

What a worthless crock of shit.  No end to it:

"The New Bedford School District in Massachusetts spent 14 months evaluating its school officer program, even using a nonprofit organization to review it before it decided to keep officers in schools last month. Twenty miles south of Hartford, Connecticut, Middletown Public Schools created an exploratory committee to review the school resource officer program, which voted 11-2 to keep the program."

Called aggressive stupidity, that is, doing all you can to be as stupid and unresponsive to desperately needed change as you can possibly be.

"Ben Fisher, a professor of criminology and criminal justice at Florida State University who researches school policing, said districts find it difficult to part with police because they are viewed as an extra layer of safety even though there is no objective research to establish that they make schools safer. “I think we’re seeing that school leaders, policymakers and probably parents, to some extent, have sort of this outsized fear of gun violence in schools, and when they’re crafting policies and practices around issues related to school safety or student behavior or emergency preparedness, there’s this preoccupation with trying to avoid tragedy,” Fisher said. “Even though we hear about gun violence in schools on nearly a weekly or monthly basis over the last few years, these are still very statistically rare events,” he said. “But they have such emotional salience because they are so tragic that no school leader wants it to happen in their schools.”

Time to smarten up.  See things for what they truly are.

"Fisher said society views police as a “one size fits all” solution for all sorts of social problems, including issues of mental health, addiction and gangs, without real logic behind it. Putting officers in schools, he said, is symptomatic of that."

That's right.  Certainly, the problem.  Here's the reality:

"According to the School Policing Research to Policy Collaborative, a group of researchers in criminology, juvenile justice and law, “data consistently shows that police presence in schools leads to no change or an increase in reports of serious crime, as well as non-serious crimes,” and that a study of 179 school shootings from 1999 to 2019 found no evidence that school resource officers “lessened the severity of school shooting incidents.” The presence of security officers has led to unintended consequences, including increases in suspensions, expulsions and referrals to the justice system, particularly for Black and brown youths, said Marc Schindler, executive director of the Justice Policy Institute, a nonprofit national organization that works on juvenile and criminal justice issues."

Blatant racism.

"From 2015 to 2016, students of color were more likely to go to schools with police officers, more likely to be referred to law enforcement and more likely to be arrested at school, according to a report last year that the American Civil Liberties Union compiled from the Education Department’s Civil Rights Data Collection. In addition, a different study last year found that even when two geographic areas had very similar juvenile arrest rates, officers’ perceptions of “threats” varied vastly between predominantly white schools and predominantly Black schools."

Surprised?  Why?  Blatant racism.

"School resource officers, or SROs, in suburban-white districts tended to “view external threats — particularly school shooters — as the most salient threat to school safety, and consistently emphasized the need to protect students from potentially dangerous outsiders,” the study found. “On the contrary, SROs in the urban-diverse district spoke more about students themselves as threats, believing that students had a potential for committing crime and violence that stemmed from their negative family and community environments.” According to a 2014 South Bend Tribune investigation, school resource officers issued almost 300 tickets to students between 2010 and 2014 for actions such as fighting and smoking that carried fines of more than $100 as well as other consequences like the suspension of driving privileges. Seventy-four percent of those tickets were given to Black students, even though they make up only one-third of the school district. The South Bend Police said the practice has not been enforced in several years. Despite the research, the National Association of School Resource Officers says disparate racial treatment is more likely to be due to a lack of adequate training."

That's bullshit.  Rather?  Delusional law enforcement that remains determinedly inherently racist.

"South Bend Officer Anthony Pearson Sr., a resource officer in the school district since 2014, said that there are good and bad apples in any profession but that he ultimately believes officers serve not only as positive mentors but also as deterrents for illegal activity. Pearson said that there is also a misunderstanding about how much power officers have and that they have a limited capacity to interfere in school affairs."

Nowhere near enough.  Mentors?  How?  By engaging in racism?  Give me a break.  The following is the way it should be, but is it truly the way it is in view of the racism displayed by officers?

“We are there to protect children, and we would give our life for them if there is a threat coming into the building,” he said."

The true threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties remains the officers themselves.  Sadly, so.

The training is nowhere near sufficient no matter what:

"Pearson said he and other resource officers get 40 hours of training to be certified before they are placed in school settings. But Schindler said no data or research has shown that officer training in racial bias is effective."

Fascinating, isn't it?  All the more reason to rid the educational system of resource officers.

Yet, the system refuses to acknowledge the truth, remains determinedly clueless:

"Education organizations still widely support the programs, including the Association of Secondary School Principals, which said “specially trained SROs can make positive contributions to the learning environment and serve as educators, mentors, and support figures for students.”

Out to lunch.  Determinedly, delusional.

"Aaron Kupchik, a professor of sociology and criminal justice at the University of Delaware, said schools are not amenable to eliminating officers because even if their presence does not help students, they benefit other groups. “They help the police department by giving them eyes and ears on the ground with students and to help socialize young people to trust the police and be informants,” Kupchik said. “They help school administrators because if something does happen, they have a very easy claim that they were doing all they could to prevent it. Many teachers like them, because they feel it’s a helpful security blanket in case they have a student who is threatening and dangerous or brings a weapon. And parents like officers so that their child can be protected from the other students who the parent is afraid of, perhaps.” Kupchik said that while many officers truly care about children and want to do well by them, on balance, the harms outweigh the good as research has found that the presence of police officers can result in worse school social climates "especially to students of color.”

At least, teachers are beginning to wake up:

"South Bend public school teacher Regina Williams-Preston has been raising red flags about school policing for the last seven years and was one of the people who spoke out against the program at the town hall meeting in June. “Police are an authoritarian presence that are about control and compliance, which is not good or healthy for kids, especially for African American kids,” said Williams-Preston, an educator for over two decades who is also a former mayoral candidate. The South Bend Community School Corporation said it will present the community survey results along with its recommendation for the police program to the school board on August 16, but Williams-Preston said no matter the outcome she’ll continue the fight until all officers are out of the district. “As a city and as a community, if we talk about our values as being race-conscious and equitable, our actions need to match those values, '' she said. “And keeping police in schools does not match those values.”

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Time for change.  Long overdue.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"On a hot summer afternoon, Latrell Snider and his partner knocked on Abdullahi Mohamed’s door, introduced themselves and launched their pitch: Minneapolis, they said, has a chance to replace its police department with something new, and they wanted Mohamed’s support. With his children looking on from a living room window, Mohamed reacted cautiously, saying he likes police and relies on them to keep his family safe. When Snider assured him that a new public safety department would still have a police unit but would do things differently — such as responding to some 911 calls without armed officers — Mohamed brightened. “I think that would be a better idea,” he said. More than a year after George Floyd’s death sparked a failed push to abolish the Minneapolis Police Department, activists and several City Council members are trying again, with a well-funded initiative that would ask voters in November whether the department — disparaged by critics for what they say is an enduring culture of brutality — should be dismantled. In its place would be a public safety department that employs a “comprehensive public health approach” and licensed peace officers “if necessary.” The new department would no longer be under the sole command of the mayor’s office, which is significant given that incumbent Mayor Jacob Frey opposes abolishing the police department while a majority of City Council members supports the idea."

Murders of innocent unarmed civilians by the jackbooted bastards in blue continue unabated.  ... Hear the rumble?  A second American revolution catastrophically looms as nothing changes.

"More than 30 local groups are pushing for change under the “Yes 4 Minneapolis” banner. They gathered 20,000 signatures to get the measure on the ballot — almost twice the number necessary — and have raised about $1 million, including $500,000 from Open Society Policy Center, which has ties to billionaire George Soros. “What we knew as public safety — which is only the police right now, the only option that we have — was unacceptable,” said Brian Fullman, lead organizer with one of the groups, Barbershop and Black Congregation Cooperative. “The murder of George Floyd ignited a lot of historical pain and disrespect that we have been going through, and we made the decision that we no longer wanted to have what we have now as the only option for public safety.” A majority of City Council members first began pushing to eliminate the police department soon after Floyd’s death, but they failed to meet deadlines to get it on the ballot last November. The Rev. JaNaé Bates, a leader of the Yes 4 Minneapolis campaign, said the ease with which the campaign gathered signatures shows the momentum for change is still there more than a year after Floyd’s death. “The residents of Minneapolis really were the ones who made the call for this, who were like, we can’t just let this lesson that took place in the summer to be something that fizzles out, and then what? We just wait for the next person to be killed by the police?” she said. Minneapolis, like most other major U.S. cities, has been on edge due to rising violence and property crime in almost every neighborhood in the past year. And the police department is more than 200 officers, or about 25%, below its authorized strength due mostly to a wave of retirements and disability leaves following Floyd’s death. Both factors have energized opponents of the initiative. All of Mpls — a new group that has raised more than $109,000 — will begin campaigning against the proposal in the coming weeks with door knocking, community events, mailers and digital ads through the fall."

... Until one of their innocent unarmed loved ones gets murdered by one of these criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.

"All of Mpls campaign manager Leili Fatehi called the proposal to eliminate the department “a gimmick.” She said plenty of residents want police to be held accountable and changes in the department, but they also worry about rising crime. “It’s not getting us to the real solutions that balance those two concerns,” she said."

Under the current, unsustainable status quo that won't change no matter what.  All the more reason to change the system.  Before too late.  Forget?  We now live in a de facto fascist police-state courtesy of the jackbooted bastards in blue.  This has led to more civil unrest including mass shootings.  The police and their tactics to date are directly responsible for this.  Yet, refuse to take responsibility for their 'shoot first, ask questions later' failed mentality that is leading to an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution.  Direct cause and effect the Nazi Right in the Republican Party remains determinedly oblivious to.

"Opponents also say the ballot question doesn’t guarantee that a new public safety department would have police officers at all. Instead, it says officers would be included “if necessary to fulfill the department’s duties.” Bill Rodriguez, co-founder of Operation Safety Now, called the proposed amendment a “trojan horse” and warned that the campaign's end goal is to abolish police."

That's a crock of shit.  We've been overpoliced at least the last seventy years.  Directly responsible for the increased level of crime in response to the criminal, abusive, murderous jackbooted bastards in blue.  Direct cause and effect.  No one is calling for the abolition of all police.  Just a reduction of how and when they are used.

The following is paranoid bullshit by the Nazi Right in our formerly great country:

“The amendment doesn't say there will be a police force — it says there could be, maybe, if necessary,” he said. “That's the most important thing that needs to be understood about this amendment.”

On the contrary, what needs to be understood by the nazi element is the needless loss of life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties courtesy of the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.

"It's among several aspects of the ballot question that city officials plan to highlight with an explanatory note in November. Activists are trying to block such a note, arguing that the city is improperly trying to influence voters."

That's bullshit perpetrated by the nazi element.  No more, no less.  There is no greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than national socialism, fascism, nazism.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Regardless of how the ballot question fares, the city remains under pressure to make changes. The police department is the target of federal and state investigations into policing practices, and both investigations could force widespread change. In addition, the mayor and Chief Medaria Arradondo have launched several policy changes since Floyd's death, including requiring new training on de-escalation, overhauling use of force restrictions and strengthening the disciplinary process."

While indeed a step in the right direction, no more than, figuratively, applying a Band Aid to an arterial wound.

"Details of what a new public safety department would look like are scarce, but Bates said that’s intentional, to get city residents involved in the process. If the amendment passes, council members would need to first pass an ordinance to establish the new department, explain how it would function and how its commissioner is selected. It's not clear how long such a process would take."

Time to get a move on.  ... Hear the rumble?

"Ed Brown, 69, listened to Snider's pitch on his north Minneapolis doorstep in July. Brown, who is Black, told The Associated Press that a new public safety department seems like a good plan. He thinks it would mean police officers are no longer sent to some calls that they aren't equipped to deal with and that can otherwise end in violence. “What we need to do is reimagine the police department," Brown said. "That is to say not necessarily defund but maybe in some cases even give them more money if they’re going to do the right thing with it,” he said. “We have to have the proper responses for the proper situations.”

That's right.  Needs to happen all across our formerly great country before too late.

No justice.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Racist law enforcement.  The Associated Press reports:

"Police in west Michigan handcuffed a real estate agent, his client and that man’s 15-year-old son after a neighbor wrongly reported that the three Black people were breaking into a home. The agent, Eric Brown, told WOOD-TV that the police response Aug. 1 in Wyoming, including two out of five officers who drew their guns, felt aggressive and “threw me back.” “I feel pretty anxious, or nervous or maybe even a little bit scared about what do I do to protect myself if I’m going to show a home and the authorities just get called on a whim like that,” Brown said. “Am I just automatically the criminal? Because that’s pretty much how we were treated in that situation.”

Sue the living shit out of the racist, jackbooted motherf--kers in blue.

"The Wyoming Police Department defended the officers’ actions and said they followed protocol for responding to a reported home invasion. The department said in a statement that Chief Kimberly Koster reached out to the three offering to meet with them and any other family members."

Pitiful.  Pathetic.  Nowhere near good enough.  Where's the policy change?  End to racism?

"Roy Thorne, Brown’s client, called the experience in the Grand Rapids suburb “traumatizing” for him and his son. The department released body camera footage that shows officers handcuffing them. One officer had his weapon out and pointed it at Thorne as he left the home in response to police commands. Thorne said that officer apologized, “but at the same time, the damage is done.”

No question.  Sue the living shit out of the racist, jackbooted motherf--kers in blue.

“My son was a little disturbed, he hasn’t seen anything like that … he’s not going to forget this,” he said. The footage also shows police put Thorne in the backseat of a squad car with the door open after handcuffing him. “Definitely not buying this place,” Thorne says on the video, after explaining that he was visiting the home with his real estate agent."

Sue the living shit out of the racist, jackbooted motherf--kers in blue.

"Brown used his cellphone to show police that he scheduled an appointment online to take Thorne to the house and had an access code to get inside. Thorne’s son was put in the backseat of another squad car briefly before the officer accompanying him was told to uncuff the teenager."

Get this:

"Another Black man with a similar car to the real estate agent’s vehicle was arrested after he went into the house without permission July 24, police said. That person also told police that he was interested in purchasing the house but was not with a real estate agent and didn’t have the homeowner’s permission to go inside. A neighbor saw Brown’s car parked in front of the house on Aug. 1 and called police, wrongly reporting that the intruder had returned, the statement said. Brown’s car is the same color as that first person’s but a different make and model. “Somebody dropped the ball somewhere,” one of the officers can be heard saying to another after Brown and Thorne explained why they were at the house."

No excuse.  Sue the living shit out of the racist, jackbooted motherf--kers in blue.  Other than criminal prosecution that rarely ever happens in a de facto fascist police-state, the only thing the criminal jackbooted bastards understand is having the living shit sued out of them.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

The head of the Texas Governor, figuratively speaking, remains securely lodged up his achingly clueless nazi ass.  NBC News reports:

"Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Thursday called another special legislative session — his third attempt to push through a GOP voting bill that Democratic lawmakers tried to block by fleeing the state. "I'll call special session after special session to reform our broken bail system, uphold election integrity, & pass other items Texans demand & deserve," Abbott tweeted after announcing the new 30-day session for Saturday, when the current special session is set to expire."

A raucous boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Seig Heil!, Governor.  You've egregiously abrogated your falsely sworn oath of office to uphold the United States Constitution, sir.  Raw nazism.

"More than 50 state Democratic representatives fled Austin for Washington, D.C., last month, just as the GOP was advancing sweeping changes in elections during a special session. Under the Texas Constitution, the Legislature requires a quorum of two-thirds of lawmakers to be present to conduct state business in either chamber. One of the Democrats, Rep. Gina Hinojosa, declined to spell out her caucus' plans in a call with reporters, saying that might “disadvantage our position,” but added, “we will fight that with as much vigor as we have to this point.”

Certainly, hope so.  Nazism must be vigorously opposed.  Hundreds of thousands of our best and brightest died fighting this curse, Second World War European Theater.

"The runaway Democrats have used some of their time in Washington to lobby for a sweeping election overhaul bill dubbed the For the People Act, an amended version of which Republicans filibustered in the U.S. Senate. The Democrats argue the federal legislation is the only way they can fend off election limits Republicans are advancing at the state level. Besides "election integrity," other items on the agenda for the special session announced by Abbott on Thursday include measures on "critical race theory" and "social media censorship."

All a crock of shit imposed by the racist nazi element in the Republican Party.

Texas Democrats catch a legal break.  ... Maybe.  NBC News reports:

"Texas Democratic lawmakers who fled the state to block Republicans from passing a voting bill started to head home this weekend, securing a legal win on Monday that may allow them to return to the state and still obstruct legislation. A group of Democratic lawmakers secured a temporary restraining order on Sunday, blocking Republicans from having them forcibly returned to the House chamber. The order prevents the Texas Democrats from being arrested, detained, or confined in any way for two weeks. Republicans will have a chance to fight the order in a hearing scheduled for August 20th. Of the 57 Democrats who traveled to Washington and used their physical absence to paralyze the state Legislature, about 26 remain, state Rep. Ron Reynolds told NBC News on Sunday night — not enough to deny Republicans of their needed quorum in Austin. The remaining lawmakers plan to continue lobbying for federal voting legislation, even as the House has already adjourned for recess and the Senate is expected to follow them home within days. The rest — who had been in D.C. for nearly a month — quietly left on commercial flights or by car, a source familiar with the matter said. Their return might have made it possible for Republicans to move ahead this week — but the majority party still needed [to] find a way to pull Democrats back into the chamber since the special session that began on Saturday lacked enough members for a quorum. Republicans have majority control of the state House and Senate, as well as the governor's office. The Democrats only means of blocking legislation is through delay tactics or obstruction — namely, refusing to attend sessions to prevent Republicans from having a quorum. Democrats who have returned to Texas but do not voluntarily appear in the House chamber risk arrest. Texas law allows state legislators to compel missing members to appear, potentially by sending law enforcement officials to arrest them. Democratic lawmakers said they plan to fight in court any effort to compel them to return to the Capitol."

The gutless bastards should have courageously remained out of state.  Indefinitely.  No matter the personal cost and/or inconvenience.

“We don’t believe there’s any legal authority for DPS [Department of Public Safety] or other legal offices to serve any type of warrant or arrest in any way,” said state Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a Democrat, told NBC News. The caucus' first attempt to block arrests faltered over the weekend. On Friday, The Texas Tribune reported that a lawsuit filed in federal court by 22 of the Texas Democrats against Gov. Greg Abbott and other Republicans was soon disavowed by two members. A source familiar with the matter said the filing was a draft submitted in error. The legal challenges are the latest twist after 50 Democratic members of the state House of Representatives fled to Washington on July 12 on private chartered jets, vowing to use their time waiting out the clock on the Texas special legislative session to fight for federal voting legislation. They enjoyed days of media attention, meetings with senators and representatives, as well as Vice President Kamala Harris, before six fully vaccinated members tested positive for Covid-19. The breakthrough infections spread to at least one aide to the Texas caucus, an aide to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and a White House staffer, while forcing the Texas Democrats to host much of their advocacy events and meetings on Zoom. Congress soon turned its attention to hammering out a bipartisan infrastructure deal, leaving many of the Texas Democrats frustrated at the lack of federal lawmaking on their issue. The Texas lawmakers failed to secure a meeting with a single Republican member of Congress — the cohort that is holding up their legislation and would need to be persuaded. The Texas Democrats drew more than 100 legislators from other states to a rally, but was overshadowed when it ended up taking place simultaneously with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's response to the allegations that he sexually harassed women while serving as governor. While some Senate Democrats have said they want to push a voting bill ahead in the chamber, there’s no clear path for its passage without gaining Republican support. Still, the Texas Democrats argue they’ve kept the issue top of mind for a month. “There’s a lot of momentum that’s been really sparked by our quorum break,” Reynolds said. “There has not been an idle day. We’ve utilized every single day to make some progress.”

Nowhere near enough.  Then, to gutlessly return to Texas and give our nazi governor and his fellow Republicans a quorum?  What a crock of shit.

ABC News(AP) reports:

"Republican leaders in the Texas House signed arrest warrants for 52 Democrats who have blocked voting legislation in a standoff that stretched into its 31st day Wednesday, but it was not yet clear whether that threat would be enough to get lawmakers to return to the state Capitol."

Hopefully, not.  Democrats need to stand tall.  Otherwise, they are as worthless as our nazi governor and his equally national socialist, fascist fellow Republicans.

"Unlike a month ago — when missing Democrats were in Washington, D.C., and beyond the jurisdiction of Texas officers — some are now holding out from home. Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan, a Republican, said Democrats could be compelled to return under “warrant of arrest if necessary.” How that process could work was still unclear, even for the Republicans who invoked it. Refusing to attend the legislative sessions is a violation of House rules — a civil offense, not a criminal one. “People aren't going to jail," Republican state Rep. Mayes Middleton said, "but they got to come back to work."

What a crock of shit.  Up to this point, they've courageously stood up to you nazis in the GOP.  Should that change, neither party will be worth a crap.  For totally different reasons.

"How soon or even whether law enforcement would round up Democrats also was not clear. But Phelan spokesman Enrique Marquez late Tuesday confirmed reports first published by The Dallas Morning News that the speaker had signed civil arrest warrants for 52 House Democrats."

Expect better of a Republican, that is, a traitorous nazi who has abrogated his oath of office to uphold the United States Constitution?

"The move marks a new effort by the GOP to end the protest over elections legislation that began a month ago with 50 Democrats taking private jets to Washington in a dramatic show of resolve to make Texas the front lines of a new national battle over voting rights. State Rep. Jim Murphy, who leads the Texas House Republican Caucus, said while he has not seen a situation like this play out during his tenure, his understanding is that officers could go to the missing lawmakers and ask them to come back to the state Capitol."

Jesus Christ.  Give me a break.  What will the troopers do?  Drag them into the Capitol in cuffs?  Chain them to their desks so they can't leave to guaranty a quorum?

“I am hoping they will come because the warrants have been issued and they don't want to be arrested,” Murphy said. “It is incredible to me that you have to arrest people to do the job they campaigned for, for which they took an oath of office to uphold the Texas constitution.”

Jesus Christ.  The first obligation of any citizen is to uphold the U.S. Constitution, -- not the state constitution.  In this case, Republican nazis are traitorously, treasonously doing all they can to eviscerate voting rights.  Abrogation of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Democrats need to stand up, stand tall.  Otherwise, they will be just like Republicans.  Not worth a shit:

"The squeeze tactic by Republicans comes as Democrats disagree over how — and when — to retreat. The divisions have spilled in the open as the GOP presses forward with a third attempt to pass voting legislation. With new court losses and attention turning toward Texas' surging COVID-19 caseloads, pressure is mounting on Democrats who lack the numbers to permanently stop a bill from passing."

They should have remained courageously out of state.  Those who returned are gutless.  Should not be returned to office when their terms expire:

"As of Tuesday, Republicans needed just five more lawmakers present in the House to move forward with a raft of tweaks and changes to the state’s election code would make it harder — and even, sometimes, legally riskier — to cast a ballot in Texas, which already has some of the most restrictive election laws in the nation. “We had many heated debates in Washington as we debated our own next steps,” said state Rep. James Talarico, one of a handful of Democrats who returned to the Texas Capitol this week. “I’m going to keep those arguments in private. But I know emotions are rightfully running high everywhere, and it’s been a difficult month.”

You're not fit for office, Mr. Talarico.

"Texas is among several states where Republicans have rushed to enact new voting restrictions in response to former President Donald Trump’s false claims that the 2020 election was stolen. The current bill is similar to the ones Democrats blocked last month by going to Washington. It would ban 24-hour polling locations, drive-thru voting and give partisan poll watchers more access, among other things. It was unclear Wednesday how many Democrats remained in Washington — as was what they accomplished there. They had hoped to push President Joe Biden and other Democrats there to pass federal legislation that would protect voting rights in Texas and beyond."

Biden and his fellow Democrats are not worth a shit either.  Have egregiously failed to stand up to the nazism currently embraced by nazis in the Republican Party.

"Some who stayed behind have publicly fumed at a handful of colleagues who returned to the Legislature. Progressive allies are also pressuring wavering Democrats to hold the line and stay away from the Capitol, even if they come back to Texas. "You threw us under the bus today! Why?” Dallas Democratic state Rep. Ana-Maria Ramos said in a tweet that included a picture of Talarico and other Democrats on the floor of the Texas House."

... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms on this and an increasing number of issues.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

White House takes the fight to the Florida governor.  ABC News reports:

"The White House on Thursday hit back at Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis after he told President Joe Biden he will stand "in his way" while the country experiences an alarming surge of COVID-19 cases, with press secretary Jen Psaki saying the "facts" about hospitalizations in Florida speak for themselves. At Thursday's briefing with reporters, ABC News Correspondent Stephanie Ramos raised DeSantis’ latest fundraising push using the president’s comments from Tuesday urging DeSantis to help or "get out of the way," and she asked whether Biden is considering reaching out to DeSantis. "Well, first, from Day One, we've approached this not as a political issue but a public health issue," Psaki began. "We remain in touch with officials in Florida, just like we're in touch with officials from around the country about how we can provide assistance from the federal level to help address this public health crisis."  Then, she turned up the heat. "It is a fact -- and data that you all are aware of -- that 25% of hospitalizations in the country are in Florida. It is also a fact that the governor has taken steps that are counter to public health recommendations. So, we're here to state the facts," she said. "Frankly our view is that this is too serious, deadly serious to be doing partisan name-calling," she continued. "We're focused on providing public health data information to the people of Florida to make sure they understand what steps they should be taking, even if those are not steps taken at the top of the leadership in that state." Later, after taking a short joyride around the White House South Lawn driveway in an electric SUV during an afternoon event on curbing auto emissions, reporters asked Biden about DeSantis’ recent comments slamming him and his response to the pandemic. "Governor who?" Biden responded. In Florida, at least four school districts say they are pushing back against the governor’s mask ban. It comes as the country has seen 864,000 vaccinations in the last 24 hours, the highest daily number since July 3, White House coronavirus response coordinator Jeff Zients said Thursday. Florida is among the seven states officials named that have some of the lowest vaccination rates and "account for about half of new cases and hospitalizations in the past week, despite making up less than a quarter of the U.S. population," Zients said."

About time the Democrats challenged the nazi bullshit currently embraced by many in the Republican Party.  What took so long?  Needs to go much further, however.

The Associated Press reports:

"It didn’t take much for the White House to set Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis off. As coronavirus cases rise across the Sun Belt, President Joe Biden asked GOP governors to “get out of the way” of efforts to contain the virus. DeSantis fired back that he did not want to “hear a blip about COVID from you, thank you,” adding, “Why don’t you do your job?”

... Well, well, well.  Biden finally took off the gloves and stuck it to the Nazi Right.  Certainly, got the goat of the Florida governor.  LOL.

"The exchange was unusually direct and bitter, particularly for politicians dealing with a crisis that is killing Americans in rising numbers. But it was a sign that the now-familiar cudgels of virus politics — debates pitting “freedoms” against masks and restrictions — remain potent weapons. And DeSantis, in particular, appears eager to carry that fight into next year’s midterms election, and beyond."

The Republicans will lose this one as the pandemic worsens.  Called aggressive stupidity, that is, doing all you can to be as stupid as possible.  Prime example:

“He has become, I would argue, the leading voice of opposition to the Biden administration,” said Rob Bradley, a Republican who recently left the Florida Senate because of term limits. “It’s not a surprise to see Biden and DeSantis going at it.”

The surprise is it took this long.

"The strategy comes with risks. DeSantis is up for reelection next year and is frequently mentioned as a 2024 presidential contender. His national profile has risen in large part because he spent the early part of the pandemic pushing a message that prioritized his state’s economy over sweeping restrictions to stop the spread of the coronavirus."

The fascist bastard and his state are now paying the price for his aggressive stupidity:

"But his state is now an epicenter of the latest surge. Florida has repeatedly broken records for hospitalized patients this week, and it and Texas accounted for a third of all new cases nationwide last week, according to the White House."

How about that?  Biden should have been leading the charge, challenging the nazis in the Republican Party all along.  Instead of playing nice.  Placate a nazi?  Get what you deserve.

The Governor has continued to display boundless aggressive stupidity:

"DeSantis has responded by banning mask mandates in schools and arguing that vaccines are the best way to fight the virus while new restrictions amount to impediments on liberty. “Florida is a free state, and we will empower our people,” DeSantis said in a fundraising email keying off his hitting back at the president. “We will not allow Joe Biden and his bureaucratic flunkies to come in and commandeer the rights and freedoms of Floridians.”

Think the dead agree, Governor?  Or, those currently severely ill?

What remains surprising is Biden's failure to immediately ferociously challenge nazis in the Republican Party from the moment he took office.  Certainly, a mistake.  Cost him and the Democrats dearly.  Encouraged the nazi element to continue to eviscerate the bedrock of liberty, i.e. the right to vote:

"Biden’s willingness to call out the Republican governor of Florida — as well as his colleagues in other hot spots like Texas — marks a new confrontational turn for him as well. For months, the White House has tried to minimize the perception of distance between the president and governors in hopes of depoliticizing the vaccination process."

No possibility of that with rabid nazis running the GOP.  Biden had to have known that.  Handwriting on the wall last four years of the Trump fiasco.

Biden stupidly thought he could have it both ways.  Was sadly mistaken.  Lost valuable time desperately trying to placate the nazi element in the Republican Party rather than ferociously challenging it:

"It had sought to prevent a nationwide panic over the spread of the delta variant and to make good on the promise that the nation was ready to move past the pandemic. But with new cases averaging more than 70,000 a day — above the peak last summer before vaccines were available — the messaging has shifted."

Has it ever.  Certainly, made Biden and his Democrats appear grossly ineffective.

"The White House is now casting what’s occurring as a more localized concern primarily affecting areas of the country that have lagging vaccination rates and that have not followed federal guidance recommending face masks in areas with high case rates. But the hardest-hit areas tend to be run by Republicans like DeSantis."

All the more reason to challenge the aggressive stupidity of national socialists, fascists in the Republican Party.  Rather than trying to placate nazis, time to ferociously challenge their aggressive stupidity, failed policies, national socialist ideology, and perverse religious beliefs.  Trump nazi holding a Bible up in the air?  Galling height of hypocrisy.

"Biden is proving more reticent than DeSantis to continue the feud. When asked Thursday about DeSantis’ response to his comments, Biden simply asked, “Governor who?” and grinned."

Rather, could it be Biden is finally finding some semblance of courage?  Especially, in light of the following:

"Still, that didn’t stop White House press secretary Jen Psaki from turning up the administration’s criticism, saying it was a “fact” that DeSantis “has taken steps that are counter to public health recommendations.” “Frankly, this is too serious, deadly serious, to be doing partisan name calling,” Psaki said. She added that administration officials remained in touch with Florida’s public health officials, despite DeSantis’ posture. Psaki also said the White House was focused on ensuring Floridians know what steps they should be taking to safeguard their health, “even if those are not steps taken at the top of the leadership in that state.”

Both she and Biden, however, could have been one hell of a lot tougher on the Republican bullshit.

"Republican governors attacking Democratic presidents and vice versa is nothing new, meanwhile. And even heated partisan back-and-forth as the coronavirus rages has happened before. During the early months of the pandemic last year, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s daily press briefings were carried live on national television and cheered by Democrats across the country as a science-based antidote to then-President Donald Trump’s own daily sessions with the media. One day when Cuomo was holding his briefing, Trump tweeted that the New York governor was doing too much “complaining” and should “get out there and get the job done. Stop talking.” Cuomo was asked about that and shot back, “If he’s sitting home watching TV, maybe he should get up and go to work.”

LOL.  Two peas in the same pod.  Couldn't be, could it?  LOL.

"Cuomo is now under intense pressure to resign after an investigation found he sexually harassed nearly a dozen women and worked to retaliate against one of his accusers. But his state is no longer the virus hot spot that Florida is."

Think it excuses Cuomo's criminal behavior?  Both men remain achingly clueless assholes.  Unfit for office.

"Biden also rarely channels his predecessor’s combative tactics, underscoring how strange the political dynamics of the latest virus surge are becoming."

Could it be precisely why Republican nazis are running roughshod over Biden?  Have no respect for the Democrat in the Oval Office?

"Another indication that the back-and-forth between Biden and DeSantis could foreshadow similar future clashes as the midterms loom is that the governor and president recently put aside their differences and appeared together after the deadly collapse of a condo building in Surfside, Florida. That’s a far cry from what’s happening now. “He’s only telling us what he’s against,” Bernard Ashby, a Miami cardiologist who leads the Florida chapter of the Committee to Protect Health Care, said of DeSantis. “I think it’s up to him, as leader of our state, to actually do something to decrease the amount of people that we see getting infected, hospitalized, ending up in the ICU and ultimately dying.”

One would think so, wouldn't one?  Then again, if partisanship trumps principle, shit squat happens.

"DeSantis is nonetheless doubling down. His harsh words for Biden have already caused a stir in conservative online circles, and the governor has since appeared on Fox News to reiterate them. “That’s been his strategy his entire existence ... whatever plays on Fox News is where he’s going,” said Kevin Cate, a Florida-based Democratic strategist and veteran of Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Cate, a campaign consultant for Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, who is running for governor and has been an outspoken DeSantis critic, said if the Florida loss of life now occurring because of the coronavirus had been a hurricane, the governor would have “suited up” for disaster response without worrying about the political optics. “If Ron DeSantis had one-tenth of the vitriol against the virus that he spews about Joe Biden,” he said, “people would not be dying in Florida.”

No question.  Certainly, true.  How long will it take Floridians to finally understand this?  More to the point and ferociously pointedly, when will Biden take off the gloves?  Ferociously challenge the nazi element in the Republican Party?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

In follow-up to last week's edition of this publication, NPR reports:

"A woman who accused New York Governor Andrew Cuomo of groping her has now filed a criminal complaint against the governor. The woman filed her complaint with the Albany County Sheriff's office Thursday. Her account was also included in the Attorney General's investigative report released this week that said Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women and created a hostile work environment. In the state's investigative report, the woman is described as an executive assistant to Cuomo and says that Cuomo reached under the woman's shirt and grabbed her breast. Cuomo has denied the allegations. The governor's communications director Richard Azzopardi told NPR in a statement that they "proactively" referred the case to the Albany police in March when it first became public. The sheriff's office told NPR they are not releasing any documents or information regarding the complaint at this time and said "This is an ongoing matter that is under review." Approval ratings for Cuomo have dropped significantly since the report was released. A Quinnipiac poll, conducted in the days following the release of the Attorney General's report, shows that seven out of ten New York voters think the governor should resign and 55% think he should be charged with a crime. Nearly two-thirds of voters think Cuomo should be impeached from office. Dozens of lawmakers, including President Biden, have called on Cuomo to resign. The New York State Assembly lawmakers have also indicated they are close to finishing their own impeachment investigation of Cuomo, which began in March."

NBC News reports:

"A former executive assistant to Andrew Cuomo who previously alleged he reached under her blouse and groped her has filed a criminal complaint against the embattled New York governor. The woman, identified as "Executive Assistant #1" in state Attorney General Letitia James' blistering report that alleged multiple instances of sexual harassment by the three-term Democratic governor, filed the complaint Thursday with the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, a spokesperson for the sheriff told NBC News. The content of the complaint was not made public. Cuomo has not been charged with any crimes. The November 2020 incident, which the James report said took place at the governor's mansion in Albany, was previously being probed by the Albany County district attorney. Cuomo has denied the incident happened and vehemently insisted he did nothing wrong, disputing all of the allegations in the report. Cuomo spokesman Rich Azzopardi pointed to a document the governor's office released refuting the James report, which called the assistant's account "inconceivable." "It would be a pure act of insanity for the Governor — who is 63 years old and lives his life under a microscope — to grab an employee’s breast in the middle of the workday at his Mansion Office. This simply did not happen," the Cuomo document states. The James report painted the alleged groping incident as "a pattern of inappropriate conduct" with the assistant that began in late 2019. "That pattern of conduct included: (1) close and intimate hugs; (2) kisses on the cheeks, forehead, and at least one kiss on the lips; (3) touching and grabbing of Executive Assistant #1’s butt during hugs and, on one occasion, while taking selfies with him; and (4) comments and jokes by the Governor about Executive Assistant #1’s personal life and relationships," the report said, and culminated in the incident at the governor's mansion, where she said she'd been summoned by Cuomo. The report said the assistant kept quiet about the incident for three months and planned to take it “to the grave” until her colleagues saw her get emotional "while watching the Governor state, at a press conference on March 3, 2021, that he had never 'touched anyone inappropriately.'" Albany County District Attorney David Soares' office had been investigating those claims and others but told NBC News' Lester Holt on Tuesday they'd temporarily suspended their probe while James conducted her investigation, and asked her to forward her evidence to him after the report was finished. He also urged any victims to come forward. "A formal complaint is necessary. We have made overtures and efforts to make contact at least with a few of them. That hasn't happened and as you know, Lester the, these cases are made, you know with cooperation from our victims," Soares said then. In addition to Soares' office, the Westchester and Manhattan district attorney offices have reached out to the Attorney General about incidents in the James report that are alleged to have occurred in their jurisdictions. The 165-page report alleged Cuomo had violated state and federal law by sexually harassing 11 women, including 9 state employees."

CBS News reports:

"A criminal complaint filed against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo could lead to a misdemeanor charge, or "possibly a couple," the Albany County sheriff said during a Saturday press conference. The criminal complaint was filed by Cuomo's former aide — one of 11 women accusing Cuomo of sexual harassment. She filed her accusations with the county sheriff just days after the New York state attorney general released the results of a blistering investigation, which found that the governor had "engaged in a pattern of inappropriate conduct" with her, including multiple incidents of groping. Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said his office will now undertake a criminal investigation based on the aide's complaint. Apple detailed the next steps, which he said would include further investigation before he could make a determination about possible criminal charges. "We're not going to rush this because of who he is. We're not gonna delay it because who he is," Apple said. "We're going to conduct a very comprehensive investigation, and when the facts and all the data and the evidence is compiled, we'll make a decision at that point." Apple said that based on his preliminary review of the report, the allegations could amount to a misdemeanor charge or charges, and possibly lead to the governor's arrest. "What I have read so far I can say that, you know, we're floating around a misdemeanor, but again, that's just from the Attorney General's report," he said, noting that further investigation is needed. Apple said his office still planned to conduct an in-depth interview with the victim, and would need to gather more information beyond what was included in the attorney general's investigative report. Fabien Levy, press secretary and senior advisor for the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James, said in a statement Saturday, "We will cooperate fully with the Albany sheriff and turn over all evidence related to this complainant. Similarly, we will cooperate with all law enforcement agencies, as appropriate."

Took great courage for these women to step up and come forward.  Hopefully, investigators will properly and professionally conduct all investigations of any and all complaints filed.

"Apple commended the 11 women for coming forward with their allegations. "I had a female victim come forward, which had to be the hardest thing she's ever done in her life, and make an allegation of criminal conduct against the governor," Apple said. "We're going to do everything in our power to help her." The aide, who has not yet been identified, told "CBS This Morning" in an exclusive interview, "What he did to me was a crime. He broke the law." Her full interview will air on "CBS This Morning" on Monday."

The Associated Press reports:

"New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has dug in for the fight of his political life despite the threat of potential criminal investigations and widespread calls for his impeachment over findings that he sexually harassed 11 women, including close aides. Scores of Democrats, including President Joe Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and some past Cuomo loyalists, have urged him to leave office or face an impeachment battle he probably cannot win. About two-thirds of state Assembly members have already said they favor an impeachment trial if he refuses to resign. Nearly all 63 members of the state Senate have called for Cuomo to step down or be removed. Cuomo’s closest allies say they doubt that he will quit. “My sense is from what I’m hearing is he’s still looking for ways to fight this and get his side of the story out,” state Democratic party Chairman Jay Jacobs said in an interview with The Associated Press. But Jacobs added: “I just think that he’s going to, at some point, see that the political support is just not anywhere near enough to even make an attempt worthwhile.” The governor’s lawyers have promised what will likely be a drawn-out fight to stay in office. “I am not aware of the governor having plans to resign,” Cuomo lawyer Rita Glavin told CNN on Saturday. Cuomo — who for months said the public would be “shocked” once he shared his side of the story — has not spoken publicly since the release of a 168-page report written by two independent attorneys who were selected by the state attorney general to investigate."

The following is appalling:

"A female executive assistant who accused Cuomo of groping her said Sunday that what the governor did to her was a crime. She was the first woman to file a criminal complaint against Cuomo. In her first public interview in which she identified herself, Brittany Commisso told “CBS This Morning” and the Albany Times-Union that the governor “needs to be held accountable.” Commisso has said Cuomo reached under her shirt and fondled her when they were alone in a room at the Executive Mansion last year and on another occasion rubbed her rear end while they posed for a photo. “He broke the law,” she said in an excerpt of an interview scheduled to be aired in full on Monday. Cuomo’s attorneys have centered his defense on attacking the credibility and motives of his accusers. Glavin has also blasted the investigation overseen by Attorney General Letitia James for not providing its findings and transcripts to Cuomo lawyers ahead of time, and for not including more material favorable to Cuomo in the report. “It was shoddy. It was biased. It omits evidence, and it was an ambush,” Glavin said."

The New York Attorney General needs to respond.

"Dozens of state lawmakers who were once hesitant to call for Cuomo’s resignation or impeachment told the AP in recent interviews that they were swayed by the heft of the report. “I think the majority of us feel that the governor is not in a position to lead the state any longer, and that’s not a temporary position,” said Assembly member John McDonald, a Democrat whose district includes Albany. Cuomo has flat-out denied that he ever touched anyone inappropriately, but he acknowledged hugging and kissing aides and other individuals. Glavin said it’s clear to Cuomo that people who “worked for him felt that he was invading their space and that it was unwanted.” “He doesn’t believe it was inappropriate,” Glavin said. “He has seen what these women have said, and he does feel badly about this.”

What we need is the unvarnished truth from the Governor and all others involved in this.

"Meanwhile, the state Assembly’s judiciary committee planned to meet Monday to discuss when to conclude its monthslong investigation into whether there are grounds to impeach Cuomo. The investigation has focused on sexual harassment and misconduct, the administration’s past refusal to release how many nursing home residents died of COVID-19, the use of state resources for Cuomo’s $5 million book deal and efforts to prioritize COVID-19 tests for the governor’s inner circle in spring 2020, when testing was scarce. Some lawmakers want an impeachment vote in days, but committee members say the probe could wrap up in a month. State law requires at least 30 days between an Assembly impeachment vote and Senate impeachment trial. Assembly member Amanda Septimo called for urgency. “What we need to do the soonest is to get Cuomo out of power because of the way he uses it, like a weapon,” the Bronx Democrat said. Democrats are increasingly worried about how Cuomo will affect political races in New York and potentially nationally, Septimo said. “I’m willing to put money on how soon we see Cuomo’s face on an attack mailer somewhere in Ohio,” she said. “I feel like everyone’s calculus is bigger than themselves at this point, besides the governor.” Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul would take over for Cuomo if a majority of the 150-member Assembly votes to impeach him."

The truth is what's important here.  Not the politics.

"Cuomo championed a sweeping law he signed in 2019 that mandated anti-harassment training, extended the statute of limitations and declared that accusers do not have to prove they were treated differently than other workers. It also lowered New York’s standard for sexual harassment to include unwanted conduct that rises above the level of “petty slights and trivial inconveniences.” Many lawmakers have criticized the governor for failing to acknowledge that his unwelcome remarks and touching violated his administration’s own definition of sexual harassment, which is based on how a person feels despite the perpetrator’s intent. Cuomo also faces scrutiny from federal prosecutors over his administration’s handling of COVID-19 nursing home data. And the state ethics commission is looking into the same issues that the Assembly is investigating. In addition, Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said Saturday that Cuomo could face misdemeanor charges if investigators substantiate Commisso’s complaint. At least five district attorneys have asked for materials from the attorney general’s inquiry to see if any of the allegations could result in criminal charges. The investigation concluded that Cuomo sexually harassed a state trooper with unwanted touching and suggestive remarks, a previously unknown account. Investigators found that the governor wanted to assign the trooper to his security detail after briefly meeting her, even though she lacked qualifications for the job. Cuomo plans to address the allegation “very, very soon,” Glavin said."

What is he waiting for?

The following sounds like bullshit:

"She defended the governor’s interest as an effort to increase diversity after he found the trooper “impressive” for maintaining eye contact with him in a conversation."

The Associated Press reports:

"An aide who accused New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo of groping her said in her first televised interview that she was initially afraid to identify herself because she worried the governor’s “enablers” would destroy her if she spoke up. Brittany Commisso, an executive assistant on Cuomo’s staff, detailed her interactions with the Democrat in a joint interview with CBS and The Times Union of Albany that was broadcast Monday as a key legislative committee met to discuss possible impeachment hearings. Commisso has spoken out before, first in an anonymous interview with the Times Union last winter, and then as one of 11 women who said they were sexually harassed by Cuomo whose allegations were detailed in a report by the state attorney general’s office last week. She was also the first woman to file a criminal complaint against Cuomo, giving a report to the county sheriff Thursday. But until now, the public hasn’t heard her tell her own story. “I was afraid that if I had to come forward and revealed my name, that the governor and his enablers, I like to call them, would viciously attack me, would smear my name, as I had seen and heard them do before to people,” said Commisso, now 32. She said she also wanted to protect her daughter, but now feels speaking out shows her that “she has a voice.” “I never want her to be afraid to speak,” Commisso said. “I never want her to be afraid of any person in power, a man or a woman.”

That's right.  Right up to and including the very top of the food chain.  If not, then clearly this is no longer a democratic republic, but an autocratic, fascist police-state.

"The interview aired as Cuomo faces another day under fire. Scores of Democrats, including President Joe Biden, have urged Cuomo to leave office. About two-thirds of state Assembly members have said they favor an impeachment trial if he refuses to resign, according to an Associated Press count. Only a simple majority vote is needed to begin an impeachment trial. The Assembly’s judiciary committee was meeting in executive session, behind closed doors, Monday to discuss how to wrap up an ongoing probe of Cuomo’s conduct with women, and of other matters, including the use of staff to help with his $5 million book deal and his administration’s decision to withhold full statistics on COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes from the public. “Our investigation remains confidential, as it should be, and at the appropriate time and as early as later this month we will discuss the evidence publicly in an open and transparent manner,” said committee Chair Charles Lavine, a Long Island Democrat. He promised that the committee was committed to protecting any witnesses from retaliation and giving Cuomo a chance to defend himself. “The governor has said he wants to be treated fairly like anyone else in this country and he will be,” Lavine said. Cuomo will be going into the fight without his former top aide, Melissa DeRosa, who resigned late Sunday, saying the past two years had been “emotionally and mentally trying.” The report made public by state Attorney General Letitia James said DeRosa played a lead role in trying to protect Cuomo from harassment claims. Among other things, it said she was involved in giving reporters personnel memos about Lindsey Boylan, the first woman to accuse him publicly of harassment. The records described Boylan’s exit from the administration amid allegations that she’d mistreated her own staff."

Sad, isn't it?  Intolerable, as well.

"In her interview on CBS, Commisso said the attention that Cuomo gave her was not a normal friendliness, as the governor has characterized it. “Maybe to him, he thought this was normal. But to me and the other women that he did this to, it was not normal. It was not welcomed and it was certainly not consensual,” she said. She said he groped her for the first time on Dec. 31, 2019, when the governor suggested the two take a selfie together. “He was to my left. I was on the right. With my right hand, I took the selfie. I then felt while taking the selfie, his hand go down my back onto my butt, and he started rubbing it. Not sliding it. Not, you know, quickly brushing over it — rubbing my butt.” Commisso, who began working in the governor’s office in 2017, said this made her so nervous that her hands began to shake, making it difficult for her to even take the picture. “I was embarrassed,” she said. Commisso said Cuomo groped her a second time at the governor’s mansion in November 2020. After shutting the door, “He came back to me and that’s when he put his hand up my blouse and cupped my breast over my bra,” she said. “I exactly remember looking down, seeing his hand, which is a large hand, thinking to myself, ‘Oh, my God. This is happening.’” Cuomo has repeatedly denied that the episode took place. In an interview with investigators with the state attorney general, he said, “I would have to lose my mind to do such a thing” to a woman he hardly knew, with multiple staff members around."

Called Aryan arrogance.

"The Associated Press does not generally identify alleged victims of sexual misconduct unless they decide to speak out publicly, as Commisso has done. Cuomo’s lawyers have attacked the attorney general’s investigation as biased in favor of his female accusers. At least five district attorneys have asked for materials from the attorney general’s inquiry to see if any of the allegations could result in criminal charges. Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said Saturday that Cuomo could face misdemeanor charges if investigators substantiate Commisso’s complaint."

The women are credible.  Why would any one of them subject themselves to all the resulting bullshit they're forced to endure if it weren't true?

Cuomo finally gets the message.  The Associated Press reports:

"Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced his resignation Tuesday over a barrage of sexual harassment allegations in a fall from grace a year after he was widely hailed nationally for his detailed daily briefings and leadership during some of the darkest days of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a televised address, the 63-year-old Democrat emphatically denied intentionally showing any disrespect toward women but said that fighting back against what he called the “politically motivated” attack on him would subject the state to months of turmoil, and “I cannot be the cause of that.” “The best way I can help now is if I step aside and let government get back to governing,” Cuomo said."

Self-serving bullshit.

"The three-term Democratic governor’s decision, which will take effect in two weeks, was announced as momentum built in the Legislature to remove him by impeachment. It came after New York’s attorney general released the results of an investigation that found Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 women."

Why not have made the resignation effective immediately?  The Lt. Gov. is more than ready and willing to take the reins.

"Investigators said he subjected women to unwanted kisses; groped their breasts or buttocks or otherwise touched them inappropriately; made insinuating remarks about their looks and their sex lives; and created a work environment “rife with fear and intimidation.” Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul, a 62-year-old Democrat and former member of Congress from the Buffalo area, will become the state’s 57th governor and the first woman to hold the post. “I agree with Governor Cuomo’s decision to step down. It is the right thing to do and in the best interest of New Yorkers,” Hochul tweeted. Cuomo was seen leaving his Manhattan office in a car shortly after he announced his resignation before departing in a helicopter without stopping to speak to reporters."

How do you effectively defend the indefensible?

"Cuomo still faces the possibility of criminal charges, with a number of prosecutors around the state moving to investigate him. The string of accusations that spelled the governor’s downfall began to unfold in news reports last December and went on for months. Cuomo called some of the allegations fabricated, forcefully denying he touched anyone inappropriately. But he acknowledged making some aides uncomfortable with comments he said he intended as playful, and he apologized for some of his behavior. He portrayed some of the encounters as misunderstandings attributable to “generational or cultural” differences, a reference in part to his upbringing in an affectionate Italian American family."

What a crock of shit.

"As a defiant Cuomo clung to office, state lawmakers launched an impeachment investigation, and nearly the entire Democratic establishment in New York deserted him — not only over the accusations, but also because of the discovery that his administration had concealed thousands of COVID-19 deaths among nursing home patients. The harassment investigation ordered up by the attorney general and conducted by two outside lawyers corroborated the women’s accounts and added lurid new ones. The release of the report left the governor more isolated than ever, with some of his most loyal supporters abandoning him and President Joe Biden joining those calling on him to resign. His accusers included an aide who said Cuomo groped her breast at the governor’s mansion. Investigators also said the governor’s staff retaliated against one of his accusers by leaking confidential personnel files about her."

No excuse for that.

"As governor, Cuomo touted himself as an example of a “progressive Democrat” who gets things done: Since taking office in 2011, he helped push through legislation that legalized gay marriage, began lifting the minimum wage to $15 and expanded paid family leave benefits. He also backed big infrastructure projects, including airport overhauls and construction of a new bridge over the Hudson River that he named after his father. At the same time the behavior that got him into trouble was going on, he was publicly championing the #MeToo movement and surrounding himself with women’s rights activists, signing into law sweeping new protections against sexual harassment and lengthening the statute of limitations in rape cases."

Stunning hypocrisy.

"His national popularity soared during the harrowing spring of 2020, when New York became the epicenter of the nation’s coronavirus outbreak. His tough-minded but empathetic response made for riveting television well beyond New York, and his stern warnings to people to stay home and wear masks stood in sharp contrast to President Donald Trump’s brush-off of the virus. His briefings won an international Emmy Award, and he went on to write a book on leadership in a crisis."

Sadly, all two-faced bullshit:

"But even those accomplishments were soon tainted when it was learned that the state’s official count of nursing home deaths had excluded many patients who had been transferred to hospitals before they succumbed. A Cuomo aide acknowledged the administration feared the true numbers would be “used against us” by the Trump White House. Also, Cuomo’s administration was fiercely criticized for forcing nursing homes to accept patients recovering from the virus. The U.S. Justice Department is investigating the state’s handling of data on nursing home deaths. In addition, the state attorney general is looking into whether Cuomo broke the law in using members of his staff to help write and promote his book, from which he stood to make more than $5 million. The governor had also increasingly come under fire over his rough and sometimes vindictive treatment of fellow politicians and his own staff, with former aides telling stories of a brutal work environment. Cuomo has been divorced since 2005 from the author and activist Kerry Kennedy, a member of the Kennedy family, and was romantically involved up until 2019 with TV lifestyle personality Sandra Lee. He has three adult daughters. During his resignation speech, he directly addressed his daughters, saying: “I want them to know, from the bottom of my heart: I never did, and I never would, intentionally disrespect a woman or treat a woman differently than I would want them treated. Your dad made mistakes. And he apologized. And he learned from it. And that’s what life is all about.”

Think the eleven women included in the Attorney General's investigation would agree, Governor?  You remain cluelessly in denial, sir.

"New York has seen a string of high-level political figures brought down in disgrace in recent years. Gov. Eliot Spitzer resigned in 2008 in a prostitution scandal. Rep. Anthony Weiner went to prison for sexting with a 15-year-old girl. Attorney General Eric Schneiderman stepped down in 2018 after four women accused him of abuse. And the top two leaders in the Legislature were convicted of corruption."

The public tolerates this crap.  Precisely, why it continues.  Never ends.

NPR reports:

"His Lt. Governor, Kathy Hochul, will be next in line and will be the state's first female governor. "This transition must be seamless," Cuomo said, calling Hochul smart and competent. "She can come up to speed quickly."

Your resignation should have been effective immediately, Governor.  -- Hochul, more than qualified, certainly ready.

"Hochul, who served one term in Congress before being tapped by Cuomo to be his running mate in 2014, said in a statement she agreed with the governor's decision to step down. "It is the right thing to do and in the best interest of New Yorkers," she said. "As someone who has served at all levels of government and is next in the line of succession, I am prepared to lead as New York State's 57th Governor." Cuomo's departure from office, which will take effect in 14 days, represents a remarkable turn of events from just over a year ago, when the governor was seen as a rising star in the Democratic Party for his administration's response to the coronavirus pandemic. Yet even that performance is now under a cloud of scrutiny, as a separate investigation by the attorney general found that the number of nursing home deaths disclosed by the state was far worse than officials disclosed. But it was the allegations of harassment that precipitated the once unthinkable prospect of Cuomo's resignation. The 165-page report released last week followed a months-long investigation into Cuomo's actions and outlined what New York Attorney General Letitia James called violations of both state and federal law. Prosecutors said their findings substantiated allegations from several women — allegations that included unwanted and nonconsensual touching, groping and kissing and sexual comments. "This is a sad day for New York because independent investigators have concluded that Governor Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and, in doing so, broke the law," James said upon the report's release. "No man – no matter how powerful – can be allowed to harass women or violate our human rights."

"In his remarks Tuesday, Cuomo repeatedly denied the allegations against him and called the report "false." The most serious allegations, he said, "had no credible factional basis." He then apologized for offending the women who were included in the report and said he took "full responsibility" for his actions."

No, Governor.  You haven't taken 'full responsibility.'  Quite the opposite.

Florida Governor gets reined in.  NBC News reports:

"A federal judge in Florida issued an order Sunday allowing Norwegian Cruise Line to require passengers to prove they've been inoculated against Covid-19, despite a state ban that prohibits companies from adopting such measures. U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams of the state's southern district ruled that the cruise line would be "irreparably injured" by the state prohibition, leaving it no way to ensure that thousands of passengers who will remain in close quarters for days have been vaccinated. The decision, which is preliminary and will remain in effect as the company pursues a permanent ruling, comes a week before its first scheduled departure in more than a year. Norwegian sued Florida's top health official in July after Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a law banning companies from requiring proof of Covid-19 vaccination. The state Health Department didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. DeSantis has said that the law was aimed at protecting Floridians' "personal choice regarding vaccinations" and that no business or government agency "will be able to deny you services based on your decision." In a statement, Norwegian said the order will allow it to operate "in the safest way possible with 100% vaccination of all guests and crew when sailing from Florida ports."

U.S. Senate passes infrastructure bill.  United Press International reports:

"The Senate on Tuesday voted to pass a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package, a key part of President Joe Biden's agenda, and send it to the House, where it may encounter some resistance. The upper chamber voted 69-30 to pass the measure, which was supported by all Democrats and 19 Republicans. Immediately after the vote, Democrats needed Vice President Kamala Harris to cast a tie-breaking vote to next start debate on Democrats' $3.5 trillion spending plan, which includes funding for various social and healthcare measures and climate change. The infrastructure bill now goes to the House, where Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she would not consider it until the Senate also passed the spending package. The House is not scheduled to return from August recess until Sept. 20. Among the Republicans who voted for the bill were Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Mitt Romney of Utah, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Jim Risch of Idaho, Kevin Cramer and John Hoeven of North Dakota and Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. The infrastructure package was put together last month following weeks of negotiations and multiple hurdles and represents the first major legislative effort to receive significant support from both sides of the aisle since President Joe Biden took office in January. If passed, it would usher in the most sweeping improvements to U.S. bridges, roads and rails in decades. Making such critical repairs has been a legislative priority in Washington, D.C., for years."

United Press International reports:

"The U.S. Senate approved a sweeping $3.5 trillion spending plan early Wednesday that aims to fund top Democratic priorities, including Medicare expansion, climate change and education. Senators voted 50 to 49, along party lines, to pass the budget framework that covers the bulk of President Joe Biden's economic plan. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., the Senate budget committee chairman who's largely responsible for the bill's contents, has called the resolution "the most consequential piece of legislation" for working families since President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal of the 1930s. The budget resolution is wide-reaching, and includes investments for paid family and medical leave, universal prekindergarten for 3- and 4-year-olds, cybersecurity infrastructure improvements, upgrades for Veterans Affairs facilities, a tax cut for Americans making less than $400,000 a year and for Medicare to cover dental, vision and hearing benefits while lowering the eligibility ages. Senate Democrats said the plan will be paid for by increasing taxes on high-income earners, healthcare savings and its impact on spurring long-term economic growth. Families making less than $400,000 a year, small businesses and family farms will not be subject to the higher taxes. "Today we move this country in a very different direction," Sanders said from the Senate floor. "The American people want a government which represents all of us and not just a few, and this legislation is going to ask the wealthiest people in our country to start paying their fair share of taxes so we can address the needs of working families, the elderly, the children, the sick and the poor."

Be most interesting to see if that ultimately winds up happening.

"Democrats are seeking to pass the spending plan through an expedited budget reconciliation process that would allow them to bypass Republicans and the 60-vote threshold usually required. Democrats have used the process this year to pass legislation, including the American Rescue Plan in March. House Democratic leader Steny Hoyer of Maryland told lawmakers in a letter Tuesday that the House would return early from its August recess if the Senate passed the budget resolution. The House has been on recess since late last month. Hoyer said the House would return Aug. 23 and "remain in session until our business ... is concluded." The Senate approval for the spending plan came just hours after it passed a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package and sent it to the House. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., had said previously that the chamber wouldn't take up the proposal until it and the spending plan were passed by the Senate. Nineteen Republicans, including Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, joined Democrats in passing the infrastructure plan, which aims to upgrade and make repairs to roads, bridges and transit systems nationwide. The measures in the budget resolution are integral to Biden's agenda, but Republicans have assailed it as wasteful. Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., who stalled the process over the weekend, called it a "socialist debt bomb."

-- You mean, sir, like the Republican national socialist, fascist, nazi spending on corrupt, abusive, murderous law enforcement?  How about all the wasteful spending on the military designed to line the pockets of the egregiously unregulated, insatiably greedy military-industrial complex?  Bullshit is bullshit, Sen. Hagerty.  You certainly remain a master at it, sir.

"This is the most inflationary idea I've ever seen," added Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., from the Senate floor. "You're spending money like drunken sailors."

Like you Republican nazis do on law enforcement, the military-industrial complex, to say nothing of the very top of the food chain that lines your pockets?

"Graham also said the plan is an irrational way to address climate change that will create a wave of illegal immigration. Democrats, he added, are putting in motion "the demise of America as we know it."

Jesus Christ, Senator.  What a crock of shit.  You clueless fascist bastards in the GOP deny the very existence of climate change under the tutelage of your fuhrer, the Trump nazi.  Speaks volumes of your egregious lack of judgment, increasing insanity, sanction of corporate greed that lines your pockets.  How will it in any way change the 'wave of illegal immigration' set into motion by Republican support of Central and South American right wing nazi autocracies in the Fifties, Sixties, Seventies, and Eighties to supposedly combat the communist threat?  You fascist bastards remain full of shit.  Clueless.  Worse?  It is Republican embrace of national socialist, fascist ideology reminiscent of early Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy that is the real threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties in our formerly great country.

Time to figuratively remove your head from your ass, Senator.  The following illustrates your abject ignorance, increasing insanity and paranoia:

"They're going to change your country. It's going to be more like Venezuela and less like America," he said."

As our formerly great country becomes more and more like Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, Senator.  Hundreds of thousands of our best and brightest died fighting the very same national socialist, fascist, nazi ideology you and your fellow Republican nazis now embrace.  Second World War European Theater.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"After the spending plan was passed, Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said from the Senate floor that lawmakers have been working for months to pass the proposal. "What we're doing here is not easy," he said. "But I can say with absolute certainty that it will be worth doing. "The Democratic budget will bring a generational transformation to how our economy works for average Americans. It will cut taxes for American families. It will lower costs for everyone. It will create good-paying jobs while tackling climate change, and it will be paid for by making our tax code more progressive and more fair."

Hard to believe that will happen.  Both parties remain hopelessly clueless, out to lunch.  Pathetically, pitifully unaware of what's coming, already on its way.

Liz Cheney continues to stand tall.  ABC News reports:

"Some local Republican Party officials in Wyoming have announced they will no longer recognize Liz Cheney as a party member because of her vote to impeach Donald Trump. “In the immortal words of the 45th President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump ...'You’re Fired!'” read recent letters to Cheney from GOP officials in Park and Carbon counties. Wyoming has 23 mainly rural counties and the officials in Park and Carbon counties voted unanimously over the last week in favor of the latest form of censure against Cheney. In February, the state GOP voted overwhelmingly to censure Cheney for her vote to impeach Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot. In May, Republicans in Washington, D.C., voted to remove Cheney from her No. 3 House GOP leadership position after she maintained criticism of Trump for the riot and for his baseless assertions that voter fraud deprived him of re-election."

Yet, Ms. Cheney continued to stand tall.  Uncommon Valor not seen by any Republican since the forced resignation of Richard Nixon decades ago.

"The Wyoming votes are largely symbolic. The Republican Party can withdraw or withhold support from GOP officeholders and candidates in a variety of ways but can’t oust anybody from the party. Cheney has described her vote to impeach and criticism of Trump as putting principle and the U.S. Constitution above the former president."

That's precisely what it is.  Not seen for decades in Republican circles.

“Liz will continue to fight for all the people of Wyoming,” Cheney spokesman Jeremy Adler told the Casper Star-Tribune. “She knows that she and all elected officials are bound by their duty under the U.S. Constitution, not by blind loyalty to one man.”

Indeed, what is supposed to be the guiding principle of both parties.

Yet, Republican nazis continue to embrace their insanity:

"Republicans in other Wyoming counties have requested copies of the Carbon County GOP resolution and “at least three or four” are likely to pass similar resolutions soon, Carbon County Republican Party Chairman Joey Correnti predicted. At least seven Republicans are running against Cheney in next year's GOP primary. Trump has said he plans to endorse one of Cheney's opponents within the next few months. Cheney nonetheless has reported record fundraising, far exceeding of any of her competitors so far."

How about that?  LOL.

More nazi distortion of reality by Republicans.  NPR reports:

"Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is one of a few GOP governors who say migrants are the source of rising COVID-19 rates. With the rate of COVID infections rising across much of the south, some Republicans governors are floating the theory that migrants — and by extension the Biden administration — are to blame. They're "allowing free pass into the United States of people with a high probability of COVID, and then spreading that COVID in our communities," Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said in an interview on FOX News late last month. "I can tell you, whatever variants are around the world, they're coming across that southern border," Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said at a press conference last week. The editorial page of The Wall Street Journal and other right-leaning commentators have echoed the same argument, blaming large numbers of migrants crossing the southern border for the latest spike in COVID cases. But most doctors and public health experts say there's little evidence to back that up. Migrants are no more likely to have the coronavirus than any other travelers who are crossing the border, or anyone living in COVID hotspots in the U.S., medical experts say. To some observers, it all feels like the latest chapter in a long history of scapegoating immigrants."

Forget?  The nazi way.

"This is not a border issue, it is not a migrant issue," said Dr. Michele Heisler, the medical director of the organization Physicians for Human Rights, in an interview with NPR. The places in the U.S. with the highest positivity rates are not near the border, Heisler said, or in the parts of the U.S. where migrants are heading. Instead they tend to be places with the lowest vaccination rates — and where governors have opposed mask mandates. "They're just trying to divert attention from the actual measures that we need to take," Heisler said. "You know, asking people to wear masks, and socially distance, and take care of themselves and their loved ones. And it's baffling to me that instead of trying to protect lives, they're trying to create a scapegoat." At the same time, it is true that migrants are crossing the southern border in unusually high numbers — especially in the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas, where local officials say the influx of migrants is straining social services. The city of McAllen set up an emergency encampment last week to care for migrants who test positive for COVID-19 after they're released from the custody of federal immigration authorities. "We are mirroring exactly what's going on in the rest of the country and most of the world," said Dr. Iván Meléndez, the health authority in Hidalgo County, Texas, which includes McAllen, at a press conference last week. There is a risk of unvaccinated migrants spreading the virus, Meléndez said. But he emphasized that they pose no more or less of a risk than anyone else who's unvaccinated. "The positivity rate in the migrants that are coming in are almost exactly as the positivity rates here," Meléndez said. "Is this a pandemic of the migrants? No, it's a pandemic of the unvaccinated."

Yet, Republican nazis can't, won't be confused by the truth.  Called aggressive stupidity.  That is, doing all they can to remain as stupid as possible.

"As infection rates go up, as death rates go up, the scapegoating will go up," said Natalia Molina, professor of American Studies and Ethnicity at the University of Southern California, in an interview with NPR. Molina says there's a long history in the U.S. of falsely blaming immigrants for bringing diseases with them — from Chinese immigrants in California more than a century ago, to Central Americans and others at the border today.  "This is a pattern we've seen for 150 years," Molina said, "of medical scapegoating, of medical racism. In which we blame the disease outbreaks on immigrants, in place of really looking at other factors, our own behaviors." It's always been easier for politicians to blame people from somewhere else, Molina said, instead of their own constituents or themselves. And there's no reason to think that will change anytime soon."

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
