Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property? As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County. Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black. The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position. It's not? Why not? You claim you're not a real estate expert. Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked. Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe? Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation. Apparently, there has been none. If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner? To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for. Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot. Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot. Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved. Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back? To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road? Why hasn't she been evicted by the County? Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens? Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery? Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue. For what? Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon. Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County. Not a chance. Wake up, Sheriff. Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office? Two hundred seventy three weeks, now. A goddamned disgrace. Why are you still sitting on this information? What are you hiding, Sheriff? What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise? Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons? Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history? An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse. How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Two hundred seventy three weeks. Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger. To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff? Those of your thugs? The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down. You don't understand that, Sheriff? Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one. Including taxpayers. Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot. The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt. Think not? Wake up. Your credibility has tanked. It's time the public be fully informed. -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County. If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone. ... Right, Sheriff? TL? "Sonny Boy?" The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why. This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet. Ignored. Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise. Nothing was done. There has to be transparency. There is none. Why would these thieving bastards want any? ... Right, Sheriff? TL? How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity? Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons. Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so. That is, where they came from. Why they left where they were. What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards. Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments. Why? The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up. Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own? The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers. Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently? Guess what? Nothing will happen. Nothing ever does. The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities. Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally. Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for. Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit. Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web. Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town. Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff? TL? "Sonny Boy?" Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure. We're just getting started, Sheriff. While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception. On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe. She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop. She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office. Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it. Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this? Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following. It's appalling. Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for. No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news. Received an award. The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road. To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property. All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764. The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago. The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question. How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk? Get what you truly deserve.

Last three months been getting online at the Kingsland HEB. Met quite a few readers at the picnic table. -- People I didn't personally know, but who came up and introduced themselves. Certainly, grateful for your concern, caring, and moral support. One of the Front End managers, Kevin, had granted permission to plug in and access HEB Customer wifi at the picnic table some three months ago. Someone in County government must have subsequently complained. Three months after the fact. LOL. Finally got the boot 6-27-20 from the achingly gutless Store Manager who couldn't, or wouldn't stand up to pressure from this asshole.

Pathetic, isn't it? LOL. Certainly, knew it was coming. Hard to believe it took three months. LOL. Apparently, the gutless Store Manager, Monty, sent out the second in command, Dan, to deliver the happy news. Spoke to him awhile, but sadly as expected, he had nothing substantive to say. Other than, "leave." LOL. Advised him to send out the clearly reluctant Store Manager who apparently wanted to avoid the encounter. Finally, came out. Imagine that.

Asked the Store Manager, Monty Young, for a business card. Remarkably, he had none. Couldn't be, could it? LOL. An HEB Store Manager with no business card? How is that possible? Unlimited corporate greed? Aryan arrogance of a privately-owned corporation? Or, was he simply lying? Informed him he'd indeed be front and center in this next edition.

Before getting into specific detail vis a vis my conversation with the Store Manager, it must be stated staff at the Kingsland HEB is second to none. Have known many of them for years. Work extremely well together as a team. Certainly, exceptionally customer-friendly. The problem with this store is not staff. Not even the Store Manager and Assistant Manager per se, -- who apparently, despite their denials, had been pressured by someone. It's the HEB corporate management suite at the root of most of the problems at this store.

The following salient issues were discussed with the Store Manager before I left. -- Interestingly, none of which he denied. LOL. Readers, have you noticed cheaper generic products are either continually out of stock or discontinued? Especially, after the store changed its product line weeks before the pandemic. Apparently, in an effort to emulate the Marble Falls store that caters to the Horseshoe Bay elite.

New larger shopping carts were brought in to the Kingsland store so shoppers would supposedly buy more product, increase store sales. Shelves are restocked 24 hrs. Staff was unhappy because aisles are too narrow for the larger carts. Makes it harder to stock shelves when the store is open. Not only that, makes it much more difficult for shoppers to navigate the narrow aisles.

Product pricing has steeply increased. They accomplish this both by directly raising prices, as well as in engaging in deception, that is, downsizing product. One recent glaring example is their generic bleach. For awhile, it was unavailable, out of stock. Then, it was downsized from three quarts to two. Price remained at $1. A 33% increase. Done deceptively. At a time when inflation is supposedly non-existent. What ever happened to the HCF quart and a half ice cream that sold for $1.99? Long since gone. Both aforementioned products had already been downsized once before. LOL. List can go on and on. Unbridled corporate greed.

As I reminded the Store Manager, Kingsland residents, for the most part, are poor, young, elderly, and/or disabled, etc. This store now caters to the rich who live on the lake and Sunrise Beach. Not sustainable. ... Especially, if the shit finally hits the fan vis a vis the Trump nazi, and/or a second shutdown occurs courtesy of the raging, poorly-handled, achingly mismanaged pandemic.

To store employees, all of whom I admire, consider personal friends, courageously provide your ongoing grievances to this publication. I will publish them while protecting your identity. If you won't stand up, nothing changes.

As I informed the Store Manager, the problem in Kingsland is the fact HEB has no substantive competition. What is desperately needed is a Walmart or other major corporation to rattle the cage of local HEB management as well as the corporate management suite. Until that occurs, nothing changes, shit happens. ... Right, Monty? Dan?

In the last two and a half weeks or so, three middle-aged women tripped and fell on the curb by the picnic table. Third time, 6-26-20. Took the Store Manager and Assistant Manager quite some time to exit the store and arrive with ice to quell the swelling of the woman who had fallen hard on her face. I subsequently asked Monty to consider painting the curb iridescent red or orange to avoid injury and a future lawsuit.

Responded couldn't be painted red since it wasn't a fire zone. Could certainly be painted orange or some other bright color. If management doesn't care about a lawsuit, where is its concern for the pain and suffering if a customer trips, falls, and suffers serious injury? ... Couldn't care less, Monty? -- Or, is it, shortsightedly, insurance will indeed take care of it? Wake up. Just a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured and sues the living shit out of HEB. Even if HEB prevails in court, it loses. Consider the cost of bad publicity.

To the credit of management, both the Store Manager and Assistant Manager return carts to the front of the store, sanitize them, and pick up trash. Recently, associates informed me the Store Manager wasn't happy about the performance of the Assistant Store Manager. LOL. Apparently, ole' Dan got too good at hiding in the store, shirking cart and other duties, etc. LOL. That's apparently changed. ... Trouble in paradise, boys? LOL. Itching to retire, Dan? LOL. Give me a break. Never a dull moment, -- at customer and staff expense.

Finally, to the motherf--ker in County government who likely complained, don't flatter yourself. Three months? What took so long you gutless piece of shit? LOL. No matter what, Liberty In Peril will remain up and running. Despite the fact it's been more than 21 years, just the very beginning. Far more to come. 'How long is this machine under warranty? Received the error message yesterday while booting up: "Alert! The AC Power Adapter wattage and type cannot be determined. The battery may not charge. The system will adjust the performance to match the power available."

'Talked to a local tech who told me I needed the original power supply that came with the Dell lap top, not a cheap foreign replacement. Can you provide any help with this? Since both batteries can't be recharged, I can't use this machine off the grid.'

Readers are advised there is a sticker on the back of the power supply stating: "Please remove this sticker." It cannot be easily removed. Will not peel off. Have hesitated to scrape it off since doing so might obliterate anything underneath it, -- if anything. It is not covering a vent and there is no technical reason that it be removed. Certainly, did not affect operation of the supply for the last year and four months I've had the machine.

Joy. Most desperately needed at a time of unbearable tragedy. Seatbelts on. NPR reports:

Levine Cava said a volunteer who feeds cats on the street recognized the cat in the vicinity of the building and brought the cat to an animal shelter, where it was positively identified. Gina Nicole Vlasek, the co-founder of the Miami Beach cat rescue group The Kitty Campus, posted about Binx on Facebook. The cat was brought to the shelter on Thursday night after being found near the rubble, she wrote. Friday "was one of the most amazing days," she wrote, because "one of the survivors came to see the cat and to determine if it was her families cat and IT WAS!" Levine Cava said the family and cat reunion happened on Friday, but that authorities were not sharing more details about the condition of the family yet."

I’m not mad at you.’ ” The woman — who did not accept a request for comment from The Washington Post and asked that her name not be published due to privacy concerns — told him to meet her at a nearby gas station. He promised to bring the reward money, totaling about $6,000."

That's right. To the woman who had stolen his dog. Patience. Far more to this story. Far more.

"The 20-year-old woman held Darla on a leash while she waited for Morton. When he pulled up and saw his dog there, “it was one of the most overwhelming feelings I’ve ever felt. I was elated,” he said. But once he reclaimed his pet, he focused on the young woman across from him as she wept uncontrollably. “She is just a kid, and she was standing there bawling. I went and gave her a hug, and I said, ‘It’s all right,’ ” Morton recalled. Within minutes of talking to her, “I could tell that she was a fentanyl addict, like me.” Morton, who has been sober since May 19, 2015, struggled with drug addiction since he was a teenager. “I was in and out of treatment 16 times. I was the hopeless addict who was never supposed to get better,” Morton said. But after a near-death experience, he finally pledged to get clean. “Going to treatment was the scariest thing I’ve ever done in my life, but it’s also the most enlightening experience I’ve ever had,” Morton said. After becoming sober, he volunteered at the rehab center he attended, and in 2018, he became a clinical drug and alcohol interventionist. Since then, he has dedicated his career to helping addicts get sober. He also created a free service, called Find the Right Rehab, to assist people with choosing a suitable treatment center. Morton shared his story with the woman, and she told him her own. She explained that she had been living on the streets for several years, relying on sex work to fund her drug addiction, Morton said. She wanted to get help, he said, but she was terrified. “When you’re a fentanyl addict, your number one fear is detoxing and getting clean,” Morton said, explaining the agonizing withdrawal symptoms."

"She told him that she and two other people stole Darla and planned to sell her online. But after she came across his post on Facebook, “she couldn’t live with herself,” Morton said. “She told me she’s a dog lover.” After they spoke for about half an hour, Morton took out the reward money in a brown envelope, turned to her and said: “I know if I give you this money, I’m going to hear about you dead in the next day or two.” He worried she would use the money to buy drugs and would eventually overdose. So, he decided to offer something else. “I’m going to take this money, and I’m going use it to pay for you to go to treatment. I’m going to give you the opportunity to help yourself,” he told her. She accepted his offer, and they traded phone numbers. Once they parted ways, Morton called Susan Hogarth, the executive director of Westminster House Society, a nonprofit organization and addiction recovery program for women and girls, in the hope that he could secure a spot for the woman he just met. “He contacted me and asked me if I would be willing to take her into residential treatment,” Hogarth said. “I immediately agreed.” The 90-day treatment program is about $22,000 — a small portion of which is covered by government funding. “Brayden is going to support her while we get her funding in place,” Hogarth said, adding that the organization relies on several streams of financial aid, including donations. “We will do whatever we can to get her well.” After speaking many times with the young woman to discuss logistics and ensure she was comfortable with the plan, Morton booked her a flight from Cranbrook to New Westminster, where the treatment center is located. “His heart is truly in it,” Hogarth said of Morton. “In this whole situation that happened with him and his beloved pet Darla, a normal person would be angry, but his anger just melted off of him as soon as he noted that this girl was so sick.” Morton, who lives alone with Darla and his other dog Louis, said he has a renewed sense of peace now that Darla was home safe and the young woman agreed to go to rehab. He said he was inspired to help her by those who showed him compassion and empathy when he needed it most. This was his way of paying it forward. “One day, I hope she looks back on this story and it motivates her to help somebody else,” Morton said. “We need to advocate for each other.”

The White House touts the $350 billion in state and local funding under Biden's Covid-19 aid law for helping keep police employed. His budget requests $651 million for the Community Oriented Policing Services program — or COPS — a major increase from last year. Biden has also sought to sell his gun control proposals as an attempt to combat violent crime and mass murders. "The president, with the backing of leading law enforcement groups, secured the money that his predecessor opposed — to keep cops on the beat — and every single Republican member of Congress voted against it," White House spokesman Andrew Bates said. "The GOP continues to oppose the American Rescue Plan even as it delivers the rehiring of police in their districts."

Providing additional funding means law enforcement will use that funding to finance additional officers to harass, abuse, engage in unnecessary violence, and murder innocent unarmed civilians. To get their cookies off, abuse power. Democrats will be directly responsible for this resulting additional carnage.

'Judges' remain corrupt, abusive, in the pocket of the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue. NBC News reports:

"Reprimand of judges for social media misconduct warrants updated guidelines, experts say."

"After a spate of reports of judges using social media in partisan and inappropriate ways, observers say states should revisit their guidelines and give more clarity. A local judge in upstate New York resigned in May after a state agency opened an investigation into Facebook posts that allegedly conveyed anti-LGBTQ and anti-Muslim bias and showed favoritism toward law enforcement. That same month, a domestic relations judge in Alabama was temporarily removed from the bench after state judicial investigators accused her or someone on her behalf of using fake Facebook accounts to harass litigants who had cases in her court. And a now-former chief district court judge in North Carolina was censured in June for "inappropriate conversations and relationships" with dozens of women he had messaged through Facebook, while also exchanging "indecent photographs" and using court breaks and recesses to make contact. Each case highlights a judge who appeared to run afoul of ethics guidelines by using social media in ways that state oversight commissions said could taint the credibility of their offices, betray public confidence and call into question their impartiality regardless of whether they were posting on a private account to a few close friends or in a public forum."

"While the frequency of which judges are accused of breaching online ethics protocols is not regularly tracked, a review of dozens of these cases reveals a serious lapse in judgment among many of them, which judicial ethics experts believe is being stoked, in part, by the nation's political divide and the pervasiveness of social media."

There is no excuse for this bullshit. Remains an egregious failure of the system.

"Each state's judicial ethics board has written codes of conduct for judges to follow, but most don't expressly address social media norms of today nor account for shifting technologies, said Agnieszka McPeak, an associate professor of law and director of the Center for Law, Ethics and Commerce at Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane, Washington."

"States generally follow the American Bar Association's "model code of judicial conduct," which does not specifically mention social media norms. The association also offers nonbinding guidance from 2013 that says if judges use "proper care" when they opine online, they can avoid compromising their integrity. On the federal level, a planning resource for judicial employees' social media use was devised in 2010 and warned that "nothing is 'private' on the Internet."

"While the discovery of improper and even lewd social media behavior has helped to expose problem judges, particularly when they're off the bench, McPeak said, now would also be a good time for states to revisit their guidelines and give more clarity."

"The norms are different now than when these guidelines first came out," McPeak, who has studied the pitfalls of social media use among judges and lawyers, said. "We have more polarization in this country, and we are nudged to communicate quickly without really thinking, which makes using social media even more perilous for judges."

Then, why are judges using social media when incapable of effectively controlling themselves?

"The Center for Judicial Ethics at the National Center for State Courts, a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve the judiciary, has examined cases in which judges were rebuked for expressing views on controversial topics or endorsing political candidates. Some of the judges used private accounts, while others did not attempt to hide their judicial affiliations. "All of the judges in these cases acquiesced in the sanctions, often expressing remorse, apparently recognizing on reflection that thoughtless clicking and virtual outbursts by judges can damage the judiciary's reputation," the center said."

"The cases include a criminal court judge in the Memphis, Tennessee, area who was publicly reprimanded in 2019 for making partisan statements by sharing images on his Facebook account that were critical of several issues and people, including former presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, athletes kneeling during the national anthem, the Black Lives Matter movement, fatal shootings by police, transgender bathroom policies, and undocumented immigrants and voting. While advocacy groups complained that the judge, Jim Lammey, was treating Hispanic defendants differently by requiring those who were undocumented and on probation to report to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the commission cleared him of making racist or anti-immigrant statements and said it found no proof that he showed bias toward anyone appearing before his courtroom. Still, he agreed that he would refrain from posting statements on social media that could be perceived as prejudiced or biased, as well as consented to making all of his social media platforms private. Lammey remains on the bench, and did not return a request for comment."

    "A circuit court judge in Tennessee was publicly reprimanded in October — and narrowly dodged a 30-day suspension — after admitting to sending multiple women flirtatious and sexual messages through social media from an account that featured a picture of him in his judicial robe.
    "A municipal judge near Albany, New York, was admonished in November for posting memes that implied former President Bill Clinton had killed Jeffrey Epstein, the accused sex trafficker who died by suicide in jail, and compared Facebook removing offensive material to that of Nazis burning books.
    "A family court judge in West Virginia was admonished in February for using Facebook to discuss current events, including negative remarks related to a state lawmaker who recorded himself at the Jan. 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol.
    "A district judge in central Minnesota was reprimanded in March after a judicial review found he had "liked" Donald Trump's Facebook page and disparaged then-presidential candidate Joe Biden in a comment."

"In some cases, judges chose to retire or resign before they were subject to an investigation while in office."

The investigation should have continued regardless. The bastards held accountable.

"Former District Court Judge C. Randy Pool retired in late 2019, a year and a half before the North Carolina Judicial Standards Commission wrapped up an investigation and issued a censure for alleged inappropriate communications with at least 35 women on Facebook, with his online activity appearing to occur when he was supposed to be on the clock, according to the ruling, which was released last month. Pool, who is married and had been in his position for more than 12 years as part of an otherwise "distinguished" career, was remorseful, according to the commission's ruling, and "has also undertaken significant efforts to determine the cause of his sexual misconduct and to address the problems in his personal life." He did not return a call seeking comment."

"Over the past year, a handful of state courts, judicial commissions and judicial associations have issued advisory opinions that can serve as guiding principles for utilizing social media — and warn judges they face sanctions, such as a reprimand or even a rare removal from office, for violating ethics rules. The California Judges Association wrote that while it's OK for judges to leave reviews on crowd-sourced sites like Yelp and Tripadvisor and use the "like" function, it shouldn't be done in a way that leaves the impression they're using the power of their office to endorse something or that it's part of their official capacity."

"Last fall, he helped create his own best practices for social media in a paper he co-authored with Chief Justice Bridget McCormack of the Michigan Supreme Court. He told NBC News that more guidelines would only be helpful. "There are plainly topics that judges should avoid altogether," Dillard wrote. "But posting about issues that do not compromise impartiality and independence can enhance public trust in judges and the judiciary."

Who makes that judgment? The judge with all his or her biases? Give me a break.

No justice. Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases. Total independence. The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

The bullshit never ends. Nor does the lack of accountability. The Washington Post reports:

"Former president Donald Trump’s claim that the First Amendment shields his conduct leading up to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot is legally “spurious” and should be rejected as a federal court considers lawsuits that allege he incited the violence, four prominent First Amendment lawyers and scholars argued Thursday. Targeting a key defense raised by lawyers for Trump and co-defendants including Rudolph W. Giuliani and Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), the legal experts said that courts have long recognized that speech central to a crime — such as the political intimidation of voters, lawmakers and government officials — is barred and not protected by the Constitution. In a 23-page proposed friend-of-the-court brief filed Thursday in a case brought by members of Congress and Capitol police, the legal scholars argued that courts must strike a balance between protecting freedom of political speech and preventing political intimidation. “Granting constitutional protection to the statutorily proscribed acts of political intimidation in the guise of ‘speech’ would render the government incapable of carrying out its functions, including its core democratic function of protecting the ability of all eligible citizens to engage freely and without coercion in the democratic process, whether by voting or by supporting and advocating for candidates,” the scholars wrote. The four signers were First Amendment lawyer Floyd Abrams, who has fought several precedent-making cases in court, Berkeley law school dean Erwin Chemerinsky, former Harvard Law School dean Martha Minow and noted constitutional scholar Laurence Tribe. “The movants believe that it is important not only to reject plaintiffs’ spurious and thinly developed First Amendment defenses, but to do so on grounds that preserve the effectiveness of political-intimidation statutes generally,” they added."

Why has Trump yet to be arrested, charged, and prosecuted for inciting insurrection? What are they waiting for? Why is he receiving special treatment not accorded the bottom and middle class? Why a double standard?

"Trump attorney Jesse Binnall has asked U.S. District Judge Amit P. Mehta of Washington to toss out cases filed by Reps. Bennie G. Thompson (D-Miss.), Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) and injured U.S. Capitol Police officers seeking damages, citing the president’s “absolute immunity” from the civil suit on separation-of-powers and free speech grounds. Binnall wrote that Trump’s claims of election fraud and theft were rooted in opposing Congress’s vote on Jan. 6 to confirm the results of the 2020 election. “It is well recognized that rousing and controversial speeches are a key function of the presidency,” Binnall argued. “That is especially true when, as is the case here, the President is advocating for or against congressional action.”

What a crock of shit. Inciting insurrection is not protected speech. It is criminal behavior:

"The plaintiffs assert that Trump’s baseless and incendiary statements were part of a conspiracy with co-defendants such as extremist members of groups such as the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys. They are accused of egging on the riot along with other speakers — including Brooks, Giuliani and Donald Trump Jr. — at a fiery rally that morning at the White House Ellipse. At the rally, the then-president urged attendees to “fight like hell” and march to the Capitol, “whipping them into a frenzy and turning them into a violent mob that participated in the attack,” Swalwell claimed."

"The Capitol breach forced the evacuation of lawmakers, contributed to five deaths and led to assaults on nearly 140 police officers, authorities say. Swalwell, a former House impeachment manager, argued the Trump speakers “all conspired with … each other, and others to subvert the will of the people in the 2020 election.” Swalwell’s suit said the defendants violated the Reconstruction-era Ku Klux Klan Act, which was passed to prohibit violent interference in Congress’s constitutional duties such as the Klan’s reign of terror to disenfranchise Black citizens and White supporters after the Civil War. Now part of a civil rights statute known as “Section 1985,” the law authorizes lawsuits against people who conspire to interfere with government, obstruct justice or deprive others of equal protection under the law, such as by threatening voters, candidates, or the courts. The First Amendment scholars noted in their brief that courts historically have defended inflammatory political speech absent evidence that it incited imminent lawless action, or that a speaker seriously intended a “true threat” of violence — lines they argue Trump’s statements almost certainly crossed."

"However, relying on such grounds could result in weakening First Amendment protections, while simultaneously “devastating” enforcement if courts interpret political intimidation laws as requiring proof of perpetrators’ intent, they wrote. Rather than apply those First Amendment tests with potentially harmful and unintended consequences to democracy, it would be better to shore up political-intimidation laws, they said, since many modern forms of intimidation do not involve threats of imminent violence but coercion of voters and elections officials. “Although the January 6 insurrection may be the most spectacular example of incitement and ‘true threat’ in American history, modern political intimidation often takes subtler forms …,” the constitutional scholars wrote, such as “aggressive poll-watching, anonymous threats of harm, frivolous and excessive voter registration challenges, and coercion by employers,” as well as baseless threats of legal harm. Carving out a “categorical” exception from the First Amendment for speech integral to political intimidation, they concluded, “also will preserve the efficacy of the political-intimidation statutes on which the health of our democracy depends.”

Lack of accountability to date of the Trump nazi remains an egregious failure of the system.

"Before Trump’s impeachment acquittal in February, three of the four who wrote the amicus brief signed on to letters joined by more than 100 constitutional scholars earlier this year agreeing that the First Amendment did not prevent the Senate from convicting and disqualifying him from holding future office. In a separate filing, lawyers for Swalwell raised similar arguments, warning that Trump’s legal interpretation would weaken civil rights laws “beyond recognition,” adding that the former president was not “petitioning the government for redress,” but “unleash[ing] a violent mob at the Capitol to prevent Congress from carrying out its constitutional duties.” Trump and others conspired “through a months-long campaign of lies and deceit that culminated in violence-laced calls to save a country they claimed was being stolen,” knowing the propensity of some listeners to engage in violence, that Trump approved of such violence and had pressured election officials and Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the results, attorneys wrote. They concluded, “And when hordes of Trump’s supporters did just that, Donald Trump reportedly was happy with the result.”

"Two Seattle police officers trespassed near the U.S. Capitol after attending the January 6 "Stop the Steal" rally in D.C., according to a disciplinary investigation by Seattle's Office of Police Accountability, which also found that four other Seattle officers attended the rally but did not violate any departmental policies. The office released the results of its investigation Thursday, and said that a discipline committee had recommended the two officers be fired for their conduct. The Office of Police Accountability said in a statement that any discipline must be determined by Seattle's chief of police, and additional proceedings still need to take place before a decision is imposed. None of the officers have been criminally charged in connection with the events of January 6, but at least a dozen other current or former police officers from around the country are accused of committing crimes during the mob attack. The Police Accountability office wrote of the two officers, "While they smiled and looked at the Capitol Building, as captured by the video stills, rioters defiled the seat of American democracy and assaulted numerous fellow officers. That they, as SPD [Seattle Police Department] officers, were direct witnesses to the acts that were going on around them, including the scaling of the Capitol Building walls, but did and said nothing, compounds this."

"The investigation did not find that any of the six officers — none of whom were named in the report — went inside the U.S. Capitol building during the siege, and said that three of the officers simply attended then-President Donald Trump's rally and did not break any laws. The investigation stressed that their conduct was protected by the First Amendment. The office began its investigation after one of the officers posted a photo of herself on Facebook that showed she was at the January 6 demonstration along with another current Seattle Police officer and a former officer. The four other current officers later self-reported that they had also attended the demonstration. The Police Accountability office asked officers to provide documents and messages in order to confirm their actions on January 6, but one officer refused to turn over the records, and has been named in a separate case for insubordination and failure to cooperate with the investigation. The Office of Police Accountability also worked with the FBI, which provided a video that it says showed the two officers standing beside the U.S. Capitol building while demonstrators climbed the nearby scaffolding. According to the report, the person filming the video can be seen turning to the two officers and saying, "Well f***, doing it?" The person filming then turns the camera away from the officers, and a male voice says off camera, "Thinking about it." The Office of Police Accountability wrote that it was "unbelievable" that the officers did not know they were trespassing. "Not only were there signs posted in that area, but there were ongoing violent acts, the use of less-lethal tools by law enforcement officers, and multiple other signs that being in that location was inappropriate and impermissible," the report said. "Here, they were directly next to the Capitol Building during the same time as the ongoing insurrection." Both of the officers seen on camera near the Capitol building told the Police Accountability office they did not realize they had been standing in a restricted area until reading news articles about the event. One of the officers said he decided to go to the Capitol that day because Mr. Trump had asked people to be there and to "walk up and be peaceful," and he felt the investigation into his attendance was discriminatory toward him for his political ideology. The other officer filmed standing near the building said that she went to D.C. because she wanted to listen to speakers at the rally, but she did not believe she was attending a protest."

"The other four officers, who were not found to have violated any departmental policy, each told the office they were in D.C. primarily to sightsee or visit friends, and all briefly attended the rally where they knew Mr. Trump would be speaking."

Why wasn't the identity of all six officers disclosed? Taxpayers are entitled to this information. Forget? They pay their salaries, benefits, and other perqs. No transparency. The civilian population they allegedly serve is entitled to know the ideology of its officers. So they can protect themselves against those who are abusive, needlessly violent, and murderous. Sadly, tragically, catastrophically, most law enforcement presents an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties in what has become a de facto fascist police-state.

In what is now a de facto fascist police-state, what does it mean to be a patriot? Clearly, the Nazi Right in our formerly great country thinks it means to goose step in unison with these fascist bastards. Despite all their foibles including their embrace of slavery, think the Founders would agree? Think those who fought and died during the Second World War European Theater would agree? Track and field star Gwen Berry turned her back to the flag on the medal podium at last month’s U.S. Olympic trials and then became the latest athlete to be vilified by right-wing politicians for staging a protest during the national anthem. In a few weeks, Berry will represent the United States in the hammer throw at the Tokyo Olympics and may do something similar. Those politicians will be watching, ready to label her “anti-American” and unfit to represent her country. But Tommie Smith will be watching, too. And listening. “They said that about us back in 1968,” Smith, a legendary half of the most iconic athlete protest in Olympic history, said during a recent telephone interview. “I wish more athletes would be like her, to stand up and make a movement toward the excitement of freedom.”

"Smith and John Carlos raised those black-gloved fists — in opposition to the racial discrimination they faced back in America, and in solidarity with those fighting for equality — after finishing first and third in the 200 meters at the Mexico City Olympics in 1968. They were booed on the medal stand, but Smith defiantly raised his fist again to let viewers know that what he did was intentional — and that he was unapologetic."

"Smith lived through the backlash, returning to a society that rejected him. His difficult journey to find purpose in the aftermath is the subject of a new documentary, “With Drawn Arms,” that began streaming this week. “It was done because of the freedom and justice needed to be seen and heard by athletes who wanted to be a part of a system. And we really wasn’t,” Smith said. “Even on the track, we was discriminated against. I knew ... through my faith that there would be a time for me to stand for other people to see the need.” Five decades later, Smith expects his act to be replicated in some form this summer. These will be the first Games since San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick famously sat, and later knelt, during the national anthem to protest police brutality and racial injustice. (His actions were first noticed five days after the Closing Ceremonies of the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016.) In the nearly five years since that peaceful protest contributed to the end of his NFL career, more athletes have been outspoken about social problems. George Floyd’s murder by a police officer last year set off protests around the world, including a wave of activism from a generation of athletes that refuses to “stick to sports.”

Fail to courageously stand up to injustice? Get what you truly deserve. Loss of freedom. Too bad the rest of us suffer for it.

"The International Olympic Committee has long attempted to bill the Games as an apolitical showcase of sport, banning demonstrations at the medal stand or the field of play. It stood by that this year, while relaxing other parts of its protest ban. But Smith doesn’t believe those policies will succeed as a deterrent. He supports Berry, who once raised her fist at the 2019 Pan American Games, and said he would be surprised if the upcoming Games don’t feature at least one athlete using the international platform to stage a protest. “They keep trying to keep a cap on things that might explode if they don’t,” Smith said of the IOC. “I think things will happen. I don’t know. No one could have told me what I was going to do in 1968 that day until a few moments before it happened.” What that protest will look like is unknown. But the clenched fist, raised by Smith as a symbol of Black power, remains indelible, copied by many in the decades since who have taken to the streets to demand change."

"Smith was just 24 when he protested, still a student at San Jose State. But he understood that the best way to make a statement wasn’t with his words but by claiming his title as the fastest man in the world. If he didn’t win the race, Smith never would’ve been atop the medal stand. So he did win, overcoming a groin injury that led to his slow start out of the blocks. After tracking down his friend Carlos and pulling away, Smith raised his arms 10 meters from the finish line, well aware of his victory and what would follow. “It was already decided that something was going to be done. But even then, we really didn’t know exactly,” said Smith, who initially advocated a boycott of the Games as a member of the Olympic Project for Human Rights, established by sociologist Harry Edwards. After a post-race embrace, Smith and Carlos went downstairs to prepare for the victory ceremony. Since Carlos had mistakenly left his gloves back at the Olympic Village, they decided Smith would wear the right glove and Carlos would wear the left. Smith would raise his hand first, as “the truth of light,” he said. They walked out, shoeless, in black socks. “The most powerful spot in any of the ceremonies is on the victory stand. This was my thoughts back then,” Smith said. “That was the only platform I had. What else could I do? For the other athlete, John Carlos, we chose this. Yes, we sacrificed. We ran hundreds of races to get there. It was our platform. And it wasn’t illegal. The IOC has a different opinion, but the IOC doesn’t run the society.”

"Smith and Carlos were expelled from the Olympics, received death threats and dealt with economic hardship. In trying to explain the gesture to an audience that witnessed the protest live on television for the first time, famed broadcaster Brent Musburger, then a sportswriter for the now-defunct Chicago American, referred to them as “black-skinned stormtroopers.” Musburger appears in the documentary. Although he is not filmed with either sprinter, Smith said in an interview with The Post that he has confronted Musburger over the column, which described the protest as “a juvenile gesture” while saying Smith will be remembered as a “militant Black.” “I asked the guy, point blank, ‘What did you mean by calling me a black-skinned stormtrooper?’ ” Smith said. “He said I was under pressure at the time by my employees to come up with something that they thought might gather more readers. … Well, I said, ‘That doesn’t free you from being an idiot for saying that.’ He said, ‘Okay, I was an idiot and I’m sorry for it.’ Then we both cried. Men cry, too, when it’s about something that is notable.”

"Cultural critic Nelson George said in the documentary the raised black-gloved fists asked a question: “What is patriotism?” More specifically: “Is patriotism protesting oppression, or is it blind allegiance to a country despite everything?” Smith contends his love for this country comes from not being silent."

“I believe that I’m a patriot, and one of the biggest patriots, because of my belief in a nation that is changing now to represent everyone as one. A lot of lives has been lost because of ignorance in our statutes of freedom,” Smith said. “And we know that there was a lot of Black folks, including the Buffalo Soldiers, who get very little attention because of their heroism in the fight for this country, the fight for freedom. As long as it doesn’t violate the right of being a human, not three-fifths of a human.” That Smith continues to have a prominent voice shows the lasting impact of his protest, even if many of the problems that led him to raise his fist — and turn years of training in the pursuit of excellence into a platform for change — persist."

They certainly do. In law enforcement, the corporate management suite, in colleges and universities, in the churches, sadly, throughout society. Precisely, why silence is not golden. It perpetuates, worse, perpetrates more of the same.

"The Collin County Sheriff's Office in Texas released a more than 40-minute jailhouse video related to the death of Marvin Scott III, a Black man who died in March after a struggle with detention officers. The video's release came two weeks after a grand jury declined to indict eight jailors involved in the death."

"The March 14 footage contains no sound and was given to NBC News with the faces blurred. The sheriff's office said in an email that the faces were "intentionally blurred" and the lack of sound is because the jail's camera system does not record audio. Assistant Chief Deputy Nick Bristow said that the video was made public because Sheriff Jim Skinner promised Scott's family that the department would be transparent."

What transparency? You blurred the faces, remember? Ferociously pointedly, how is it a jail video system has no audio? How is that tolerable when the jackbooted bastards in blue have a well-earned reputation of abuse, unnecessary violence, and murder on the job usually with impunity?

"As other proceedings are possible or pending, the Sheriff’s Office has no further comment at this time," he said."

Need to sue the living shit out of the officers, department, and city. By design, there is no justice.

"Scott, 26, was arrested on March 14 by Allen police after officers were called to an outlet mall for a disturbance. The Allen Police Department said in a statement at the time that officers noticed Scott was "acting in an erratic manner and were concerned for his safety due to the possible ingestion of drugs." He was taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of possession of fewer than two ounces of marijuana, Allen police said. Scott was taken to the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen, where he stayed in the emergency room for about three hours, police said. After his release, he was processed at the Allen police department and then transferred to the Collin County Sheriff's Office. Collin County authorities said that while he was in custody at the sheriff's office, he began to act strangely. Detention officers secured him to a restraint bed before pepper-spraying him and placing a spit mask on his face, according to the sheriff's office. They said he eventually became unresponsive and was taken to the hospital."

"The Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the death a homicide and said that Scott died of “fatal acute stress response” while struggling with officers."

"Seven detention officers who were under investigation were fired in April while an eighth officer resigned. Six of them appealed their terminations, leading to the reinstatement of one of the officers, NBC Dallas-Fort Worth reported. In a statement announcing the terminations and resignation, Skinner said the evidence he saw showed the officers had "violated well-established Sheriff’s Office policies and procedures."

"In June, a grand jury declined to indict the officers, saying that they found no probable cause to charge them with a crime. The jury also issued a statement suggesting that a workgroup is created to study the death to prevent something similar from happening again."

Jesus Christ. What a crock of shit. Forget? A district attorney is a Pied Piper. Has the capability of indicting a rock. Can sway a grand jury anywhere he wants.

"Lee Merritt, an attorney for Scott's family, could not be reached for comment on Saturday. He previously said that Scott was having a mental health episode. Scott's mother, LaSandra Scott, told NBC Dallas-Fort Worth that her son was diagnosed with schizophrenia two years ago, but he hadn't had an episode in about a year. "When we got him OK with his medication, he was starting to take them and fell off and felt like if he would use marijuana, it would benefit him more," LaSandra Scott told the station in April. Zach Horn, an attorney representing several of the officers, was not immediately available for comment."

Sitting on video evidence? To protect the murderous jackbooted bastards in blue? In follow-up to a case covered repeatedly in this publication and elsewhere, ABC News reports:

"An attorney representing the family of Breonna Taylor filed a lawsuit on Wednesday claiming that the Louisville Metro Police Department may have given the public "misinformation" about the existence of body camera footage from before and after the raid of Taylor's home. The lawsuit, filed in Jefferson County Circuit Court, claims police are withholding public records that would show whether there is additional body camera footage that could provide more details about the night Taylor was killed by police."

"On the evening of March 13, 2020, Louisville police officers fatally shot Taylor, 26, during an attempt to execute a "no-knock" search warrant as part of an investigation into a suspected drug operation allegedly linked to Taylor's ex-boyfriend. Three plainclothes officers -- Brett Hankison, Myles Cosgrove and Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly -- fired a total of 32 shots into Taylor's apartment."

"To date, no one has been charged directly for her death, but Hankison and Cosgrove were fired for the incident and Hankison was charged with three counts of wanton endangerment for firing shots that entered a neighbor's apartment. He has pleaded not guilty."

The above is precisely why law enforcement cannot be trusted. Has no credibility.

"Louisville Metro police have said in the past that body camera footage of the shooting does not exist, as officers on scene were not wearing the cameras or had them turned off. Police body camera footage taken at the scene after the shooting has been released by authorities. The lawsuit filed by an attorney for Taylor's family is requesting that a judge order the Louisville Metro Police Department to release body camera information under Kentucky's Open Records Act."

Good luck. ... Think they won't lie like hell to a judge to protect their officers, prevent them from being held accountable for the murder of this young woman?

"Breonna's family has a right to the records," Taylor family attorney Sam Aguiar told ABC News in a statement. "The public has a right to the records." "I'm just tired of the administration playing their games when it comes to open records," Aguiar continued in the statement. "No mother who lost a child should have to be lied to and deceived in the manner that this administration has done." "So we're going to rely upon the Court system here to try and put these games to rest," he added."

"According to the lawsuit, several officers involved in the raid had been issued Axon body cameras with upgraded systems designed to signal nearby cameras to record automatically when a police vehicle's light bar turns on. "Most of the vehicles" at the scene had light bars activated, the suit states. "At least one of the responding LMPD members" who was involved in the raid and "dozens of other LMPD members" who responded in police vehicles had light bars that were activated at one point or another, the suit adds. "Simply put, it would have been difficult for most of the LMPD members with body cameras ... to not have had their Axon body cameras activated at one point or another" during the raid, the lawsuit states. "Even those who may have left cameras in vehicles or other locations should have been activated to an event mode from a buffering mode, so long as the camera was within range of Signal unit."

"The Louisville Metro Police Department did not respond to ABC News' request for comment on the lawsuit."

"Taylor's mother, Tamika Palmer, who has advocated for justice in her daughter's case, said she will "continue that fight today" with the lawsuit. "From day one, my goal has been to learn the truth about what happened to my daughter, Breonna Taylor, and to hold those accountable for her murder responsible," Palmer said in a statement provided to ABC News. "I, along with my family and the public, have a right to know if additional body camera footage exists and the information sought through this open records lawsuit will give us this information."

"The lawsuit claims that LMPD still has not turned over an audit trail of the footage from the body cameras, as requested by Aguiar's office on June 1. The audit trail would identify key details, including time of the recordings, the user and the identity of anyone who accessed the footage, according to the lawsuit. That information "should assist in verifying whether Metro has been truthful to the public regarding the existence of footage," it adds. The lawsuit says the public has "an uncompromised right to know whether undisclosed body camera footage exists, or otherwise previously existed, from LMPD Axon Cameras which related to the events surrounding the death of Breonna Taylor."

"Former President Donald Trump suggested Sunday that the U.S. Capitol Police officer who shot Ashli Babbitt during the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol was the "head of security" for a "high-ranking" Democratic member of Congress. That is false, according to a senior law enforcement official briefed on the matter. The official said the officer who shot Babbitt, 35, was not a member of a security detail provided to a specific member of Congress, adding that the officer has not yet returned to duty. Trump made the statements on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures" program, hosted by Maria Bartiromo. "Who shot Ashli Babbitt? People want to know and why," Trump said. Bartiromo asked Trump who he thought shot her. "I will tell you they know who shot Ashli Babbitt. They're protecting that person," he replied. "I've heard also that it was the head of security for a certain high official — a Democrat — and we'll see, because it's going to come out. It's going to come out." Bartiromo later said: "I want you to know that my team reached out to Sen. Chuck Schumer's office to check on what he may know about who shot Ashli Babbitt. We have not heard back from Chuck Schumer's office." Trump interrupted, saying, "I wonder why." Schumer's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment."

"Bartiromo made her own misrepresentations of the circumstances surrounding the attack on the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob, saying Babbitt, an Air Force veteran, had gone to a "peaceful protest" and was shot "as she tried to climb out of a broken window." A representative for Fox News did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Video of the shooting showed Babbitt in front of a crowd of rioters trying to get through a door leading to where members of Congress were being evacuated on the House side of the building. The Justice Department found that Babbitt had "attempted to climb through one of the doors where glass was broken out." The Justice Department released a statement in April clearing the officer of any criminal wrongdoing."

"The statement said in part that "the investigation revealed no evidence to establish that, at the time the officer fired a single shot at Ms. Babbitt, the officer did not reasonably believe that it was necessary to do so in self-defense or in defense of the Members of Congress and others evacuating the House Chamber."

Interesting, isn't it? Proof positive an idiot can't, won't be confused by the truth.

"Babbitt was a loyal Fox News watcher, according to thousands of tweets to Fox News hosts, NBC News has reported. Last year, she began to tweet with QAnon accounts and to use QAnon hashtags. QAnon conspiracy theorists subscribe to a false belief that high-profile Democrats and Hollywood celebrities are ritually sacrificing children and that Trump is fighting to stop it."

"Her death has been touted as an unjust killing by some on the far right who have sought to downplay the violence at the storming of the Capitol, and they have demanded that the identity of the shooter be publicly released. Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., has said Babbitt's death was "an execution," and he accused the officer who shot her of "lying in wait" to do so."

"Former President Donald Trump is falsely describing the circumstances of Ashli Babbitt’s death as he foments conspiracy theories about the siege of the Capitol on Jan. 6 and all the “love in the air” that day. In comments over the past week, Trump insinuated that a Democratic partisan shot Babbitt — it was actually a Capitol Police officer defending the House chamber from attackers such as her. And Trump said Babbitt was shot in the head — in reality she was shot in the shoulder and died from the wound. The defeated president’s comments come as he and many of his supporters recast the pro-Trump insurrection as a patriotic display of “spirit and faith and love,” as he put it Sunday on Fox News Channel. As thoroughly documented by video, photographs and people who were there, the attackers barged into the Capitol during hours of chaos, many of them hunting for lawmakers in hiding and for Trump’s vice president, Mike Pence, who was there to certify Joe Biden’s election victory. Trump had exhorted his followers at a staging rally to “fight like hell” to deny Biden the presidency. Five people died in the attack that followed or its aftermath, and dozens of law enforcement officers were injured."

Circumstances of the January 6, 2021 insurrection are well documented. Trump remains a congenital liar.

"The officer who shot Babbitt on Jan. 6 was not a member of such a security detail, according to law enforcement officials and the officer’s lawyer. He is assigned to security in the House. In any event, there is nothing Democratic or Republican about the security details for top members. Babbitt was shot by the officer when she tried to climb through a door with the glass smashed out as she and others in the mob pressed to get into the Speaker’s Lobby outside the House chamber. She was unarmed. Federal prosecutors cleared the officer of any wrongdoing after an investigation into the shooting and did not publicly name him. Capitol Police, concerned for his safety, have also not released his name. The officer’s attorney, Mark Schamel, said his client is facing “many credible death threats” and other “horrific threats” and was forced from his home because of them. The Associated Press is not naming the officer because of the concerns for his safety."

Trump presents an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

"TRUMP, demanding to know who is “the person that shot Ashli Babbitt, boom, right through the head ... why isn’t that being studied?” — speaking to reporters Wednesday in Bedminster, New Jersey.

"TRUMP: “Who is the person that shot ... an innocent, wonderful, incredible woman, a military woman, right in the head?” — Sunday in the Fox News interview.

"THE FACTS: Babbitt was shot in the shoulder, not in the head, and the circumstances of her death were “studied.”

"Babbitt, 35, was part of the mob breaching the House as Capitol Police officers were evacuating members of Congress from the chamber. The officers used furniture to try to barricade the glass doors separating the hallway from the Speaker’s Lobby to try to stave off the attackers, who kept trying to break through those doors, smashing the glass with flagpoles, helmets and other objects. Babbitt, wearing a stars and stripes backpack, was attempting to climb through one of the doors where the glass was broken out, when the officer fired one round from his service weapon, striking her."

"Federal prosecutors investigated the shooting for several months and announced in April there would be no criminal charges. Prosecutors reviewed video of the shooting, along with statements from the officer involved and other officers and witnesses. They examined physical evidence from the scene and reviewed the autopsy results. Officers are allowed to use deadly force if there is a serious risk of harm to them or others. Authorities said they did not find grounds to charge the lieutenant."

"Trump described his supporters that day in glowing terms. “The crowd was unbelievable,” he said Sunday. “And I mentioned the word ‘love.’ The love — the love in the air, I have never seen anything like it.”

"A Baltimore police officer has been charged with murder in the death of his 15-year-old stepson, whose body was found hidden in an attic crawlspace. Eric Banks Jr., 34, was initially arrested on charges of assault on a police officer and trying to disarm an officer, Anne Arundel County authorities said Wednesday during a morning news conference. Charges of first- and second-degree murder, as well as child abuse resulting in death, were added later, according to online court records filed Tuesday. He is being held without bond. The murder charges relate to the death of Dasan Jones, Banks' stepson. The teen's body was found last week during a search of Banks' Anne Arundel County home after Jones' mother contacted police and said she could not reach her son by phone. The mother, who is married to Banks, told police that she believed her son was being held against his will, according to NBC affiliate WBAL of Baltimore, citing charging documents. Authorities said Wednesday that officers went to Banks' home and questioned him. Banks told police that Jones had left and did not bring any of his belongings with him, according to Anne Arundel police."

"Officers checked the home and found Jones in a crawlspace in an upstairs attic, police said. Bloody clothes were also found hidden in a dresser drawer. “This is absolutely a heartbreaking, traumatic and horrific case, police Chief Amal Awad said. "This was a young man with a bright future yet his life … was tragically taken.” After Banks was placed in handcuffs, he tried to grab an officer's gun, police said. Awad said it took several officers to get Banks into custody. During the altercation, Banks said, "My life is over" and asked an officer to choke him, officials told reporters Wednesday."

Don't they carefully vet officers? Doesn't the process continue during the course of employment? Many seem to have serious mental issues.

"A medical examiner ruled Jones' cause of death a homicide by asphyxiation, authorities said. According to WBAL, Anne Arundel police had previously been called to Banks' home after his wife sought an order of protection in June. She said that she had suffered mental and emotional abuse and accused Banks of stalking her."

"Warren Brown, an attorney for Banks, could not immediately be reached for comment on Wednesday. Brown previously told The Baltimore Sun that his client said he found Jones dead in a bathtub and believed the teen had committed suicide."

"Baltimore police said Banks has been with the department since 2018 and was already suspended for an undisclosed reason. A police spokesman said he could not give specific details because an internal affairs investigation is ongoing."

No more than an excuse. The public is entitled to this information so it can lawfully protect itself against the threat of criminally violent officers. Especially, in light of the fact police seem incapable of policing their own.

"Following Banks' arrest, he was suspended without pay while the case is investigated by authorities in Anne Arundel County, according to the Baltimore police spokesman."

"In a statement, Baltimore police Commissioner Michael S. Harrison said: “The alleged actions of Officer Banks are not only deplorable, but shocking to the conscience. This is a classic example of why I have advocated for the autonomy and authority to terminate officers when they are facing heinous criminal allegations. Our department will continue to work closely with the Anne Arundel County Police Department during this ongoing investigation.”

Not all officers are criminals. The ones who are give law enforcement far more than just a black eye, -- so to speak. They destroy all faith and trust in law enforcement. Without trustworthy law enforcement, a democratic republic is threatened not only by the criminal element in society but by those who enforce the law.

"The family of an unarmed Black man who was fatally shot by sheriff's deputies in North Carolina says he died because of the officers' “intentional and reckless disregard of his life,” according to a $30 million civil rights lawsuit filed Wednesday. Andrew Brown Jr. was killed April 21 by Pasquotank County Sheriff’s deputies while they were serving drug-related warrants at his Elizabeth City home. Several deputies surrounded Brown in his BMW before his car backed up and moved forward. They fired several shots at and into his vehicle. He was killed by a bullet to the back of his head."

"Lawyers for the Brown family said the shooting was unjustified because Brown was trying to drive away — not toward the deputies. “This lawsuit was easy to draft because of the facts in this case,” attorney Harry Daniels told reporters at a news conference. “Anybody can see that this was an unlawful killing.” The filing is the latest in a string of federal civil rights lawsuits in the wake of high-profile police shootings of Black and brown people. Many have ended in settlements that often include money but specify there was no admission of guilt. Some end up in court where a jury can award massive settlements that are whittled down on appeal. The family of George Floyd, who was killed in Minneapolis police custody last year, agreed to a $27 million settlement in March. In September, the city of Louisville, Kentucky, agreed to pay Breonna Taylor’s family $12 million and reform police practices. The lawsuit in North Carolina was filed in a U.S. District Court by Brown’s paternal aunt, Lillie Brown Clark, who is the administrator for his estate. The suit says the 42-year-old Brown was the father of seven children. Defendants include Pasquotank County Sheriff Tommy Wooten II and several deputies. Maj. Aaron Wallio told The Associated Press in an email that Wooten's office “has no comments on the lawsuit.”

HB 3 and SB 1, however, do not include some of the more controversial measures that were added to that previous bill in the final hours of the legislative session in May. The bills are part of a nationwide effort by state-level Republicans to enact more restrictive voting laws following former President Donald Trump's loss in the 2020 election. "The latest bills in Texas include new identification requirements for people voting by mail and prohibit local election officials from sending a vote-by-mail application to someone who hasn't requested one. They also ban drive-through voting and extended hours during early voting. "When you think about it, what this is, this is part of the efforts that we have seen — especially in other states after the 2020 election — to undermine the legitimacy of election results," he said."

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day. These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem. No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked. It's time to stand up. Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight. Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb. From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain. Wake up. Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen. After all, you're bought and paid for. Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters. The corporate management suite. Your employers. Think not? Wake up. You're human chattel. Corporate-owned, bought and paid for. Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor. Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision. To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day. You have no control of your lives. You're owned. Forget? For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits. At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys. Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit. To line County coffers. Keep the peasants in line and under control. A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril. Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority. Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are. Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication? Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country. Insult to injury? There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway. No matter the effort. No matter the research. No matter the proof. Wake up. This writer cannot do it alone. Snowball's chance in hell. Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded. Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy. Literally.
