Getting online has gotten increasingly difficult and expensive last four months.  Worse, access is outside since most establishments are closed or limited to drive-thru operations.  Lap tops are not designed to be used in such an environment.  Extremely difficult to see the screen.  Time for the readership to step up and provide assistance.  TC 7-24-20

In response to the pandemic, government quickly imposed draconian restrictions making access to public wifi exceptionally difficult.  Consequently, editions of this publication will be briefer and posted as regularly as possible until circumstances change.  TC 3-20-20

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable.  Time to step up.  Now.

Brother dearest.  ... Been awhile, hasn't it, Bro?  A little antsy?  Wondering when the next shoe is about to fall, that is, when you'll be fully exposed for the thieving son of a bitch you truly are?  Patience.  All in good time, good buddy.  When I'm damned good and ready.  Timing just right.  After all, a son of a bitch who's stolen his father's estate needs to be fully exposed publicly for whom and what he is, don't you think?  Indeed, a public service for your neighbors, professional associates, family, and friends, etc..

Conveniently, forget?  Others need to protect themselves against a fraud who masquerades as both a teacher and a counselor, no?  -- How the hell did you ever pass an MMPI some forty years ago to get hired?  You're not stable.  Have not been.  ... Must have really been pissed off at the old man to rip off an estate, no?  How much did you steal while he was alive and supposedly under your care?

How much did you bribe law enforcement to ignore a complaint I filed with them years before the old man died?  How much did you bribe the prosecutor to ignore a complaint filed with her several years ago?  How much?  Use the old man's money to bribe the bitch?  Her cohorts?  Your law enforcement shysters?  While there may indeed be no justice from a corrupt system, fortunately, I do have a way to publicly expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.

... Unlike our grandmother who scrubbed floors on her hands and knees during the Depression for peanuts, only to have what little she had stolen by her son, our uncle, another goddamned thieving son of a bitch just like you.  Remember how, surprise, surprise, there was no life insurance when our grandfather died?  Despite the fact our grandmother gave her thieving bastard son premium money year after goddamned year?  Only, as the thieving son of a bitch he truly was, to have pocketed it.  Again, just like you.

Remember when he booted her out of the house she had bought him when he had had enough of her?  -- Despite the fact he had lied and promised she could stay the rest of her life?  She had to climb two flights of stairs on an ulcerated leg to get to a bathroom he had never built for her at ground level as falsely promised.   Nothing ever happened to the thieving son of a bitch as far as justice was concerned.  Worse, he was never exposed publicly for the thieving son of a bitch he truly was.

Will be different for you, Bro.  While you've bought off authorities, you will be publicly exposed.  In great detail.  In good time.  When I'm damned good and ready.  When exposure will do the maximum figurative damage to your goddamned sordid reputation.  -- Just the truth, brother dearest, however.  Just the truth.

Irony of ironies?  When the thieving son of a bitch died, and our mother was finally informed he had passed, she cried for her brother, -- the bastard thief who stole from her mother.  Sad, isn't it?  Too bad she's not still alive to see you publicly exposed for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you, yourself, truly are.  As was he.  Not in a court of law you've bought off, however.  Right here.

In good time.  Again, when I'm damned good and ready.  Employing the very same tactics used against Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo.  -- On steroids, however, since all dirty family laundry will be aired.  All of it.  No threat.  A promise.  Emails sent to your neighbors, friends, professional associates, businesses you deal with.  Although an enormous amount of work, all doable courtesy of the Internet.  Despite being some 1,800 miles away.  -- Small world, isn't it, Bro?  Enjoy the stolen loot, you son of a bitch.  Forget?  It's all you have.

Brother dearest.  Save all the check stubs from the old man's accounts?  Fraudulently sign any of them yourself?  Think this material couldn't be obtained from the banks either through discovery or a criminal investigation?  Still own the house on Condict Rd.?   Any other properties besides this one and the old man's you stole with the help of your shyster bastard? Be interesting to see how far your assets extend and where.  Think all that information isn't accessible?  That I won't determinedly obtain it?

That not only an extensive Internet search will be conducted that will likely take months to complete?  But an extensive background check as well?  Think the Catholic high school you attended shouldn't be informed of the thievery of one of its graduates?  Think the clerics there would be appalled at their failure to teach you right from wrong?  How about both universities?  Think neighbors in the old man's neighborhood won't be informed of your deception?  Think they don't have a right to know?

Ever follow the advice of Dr. Bert Wiser, psychological statistics professor at MSU?  That is, get treatment for your achingly debilitating instability?  Is that why you wound up looting the old man?  Or, is it simply a convenient excuse you'll use to defend the indefensible?  Think this will end any time soon?  That is, public exposure of you as a thieving son of a bitch?  We're just getting started, Bro.  Just getting started.

Don't like it?  Tough shit.  Sue me you thieving son of a bitch.  Would use discovery to learn and post on this website all there is to know about you, your activities, predilections, business 'deals,' as well as all your financial transactions, etc..  All of it.  Would certainly avoid the expense of an extensive background check on you, thieving brother dearest.

Even if you were successful in court, there is nothing for you to take, this remains, as well, a homesteading state where minimal assets are protected anyway.  This site is hosted in an overseas country that doesn't particularly like government intrusion, remains not prone to cooperate.  Besides, can always upload to another webhost in still yet another country.  The possibilities are endless, Bro.  Just takes willingness, effort, unshakable determination.

Even if I lost it all would be more than worth it to expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.  Even if you bribed a goddamned nazi 'judge' to remove posted material, would not cooperate and be more than willing to rot in jail.  Would certainly keep reposting it all no matter the cost and/or personal consequences every time it was taken down.  Forget, you thieving son of a bitch?  I never ever give up.

Since all I seek is your exposure for the thief you truly are, would all be worth it.  For the sake of principle.  All the work, financial cost, as well as the time I am about to dedicate to this effort, you deceptive, unstable, sick, thieving son of a bitch.  Unlike you, I live on principle and have absolutely nothing to lose.  You do.  Will certainly take great pleasure and satisfaction in doing all I can to publicly expose you for whom and what you are.

To say nothing of placing enormous pressure on prosecutors you and your equally corrupt shyster son of a bitch apparently bribed.  Don't like it?  Again, tough shit. Chew harder.  The public needs to know to protect itself.  From you and your shyster bastard.  People who live and travel in your circles as well.  Including his.  As a thief, you and he can't be trusted by anyone.  You'll determinedly f--k them.

More than willing to provide this truly public service.  People certainly need to know whom and what you are.  What you have sadly become.  You certainly weren't brought up to be a thieving son of a bitch.  What happened?  Where did you lose yourself, Bro?  -- Never mind.  ... Truly doesn't matter.  Only your exposure.

TC 4-22-16

Hey, Bro?  Remember me?  How soon they conveniently forget.  ... Half asleep? -- Out to lunch?  ... In your own perverse little world?  That of a criminal?  Wake up.  Conveniently, gutlessly forget?  Insanely believe you're someway, somehow off the hook?  Think again.  We're not done.  You remain a thief who will be exposed for whom and what your are.  What you certainly have become.  No question about that.  Patience, you thieving son of a bitch.  Exposure is coming.  Promise.

Think I don't have time?  Truly believe the ongoing Presidential fiasco ends no matter who wins?  The murderous decay in law enforcement gets resolved any time soon?  Criminal Wells Fargo employees from local Kingsland bank manager Amanda S. Wright right up to and including CEO John Stumpf get prosecuted in the near future despite egregious criminal activity?  Wouldn't hold my breath, would you?

Think I don't have time to handle all this and your public exposure for the estate-stealing criminal son of a bitch you've truly become?  How could you steal from the old bastard, you incredibly sad sack of shit?  Certainly weren't brought up to be a thief.  What happened to you?  Where'd you lose yourself?

No question, 2017 will be a most remarkable, defining year for you, Bro.  Public exposure for the thieving piece of shit you've sadly become.  It's on the way. Promise.  Hope you sue.  Nothing for you to take.  Tough, isn't it?  Certainly, makes me judgment proof.  Will certainly, as well, take advantage of discovery.  Publish every detail I can get my hands on.  No matter the consequences.  Only consideration?  Prime directive?  Your exposure for whom and what you are.

Readers?  This not-so-brotherly piece of shit stole from our father.  Manipulated the old man to line his pockets.  Just like our uncle on my mother's side of the family did to my grandmother.  Runs in the family.  Our family.   ... Right, Bro?  This game now gets played my way, -- not yours, you son of a bitch.  That is, no more U.S. Mail tag.

Anything sent by mail will be refused, returned unopened.  Want contact?  Email.  libertyinperil@riseup.net.  Quick.  Easy.  Better yet?  A digital record.  Permanent.  Easily accessible.  Easily uploaded to this site when and if it becomes necessary.  The shyster bastard you hired to steal the estate shouldn't expect escape, either, from public exposure as the thieving piece of shit he, like you, truly both are.  Unscrupulous thieves.

Sincerely hope that piece of crap sues as well.  Nothing to take.  Discovery again would be published no matter the personal cost.  Nothing quite like public exposure, is there?  Especially, when it is nothing but the truth and there is absolutely nothing to lose exposing two pieces of criminal shit for whom and what they are.  Two pieces of gutless human excrement who looted an old man.  ... Right, Bro?

There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers.  Glaring sunlight.  Dazzling brilliance.  Amazing how the roaches run for cover.  Equally pointedly, how vermin on two legs manage to so easily prey on the elderly courtesy of the out of control fascist police-state we now live in.  While there'll never be any justice vis a vis this theft, there will be exposure to the brilliant light of day for both criminal perpetrators.  Count on it, you not-so-brotherly criminal son of a bitch.

TC 10-7-16

Hey, Bro?  Hear of Old Sturbridge Village?  Haven't?  ... Not lying, are you, you thieving son of a bitch?  You and your long-term companion EC conspire, bequeath some of the old man's loot to this museum?  An achingly stingy gift of $250-$499, -- considering the size of the estate?  The CEO and Board have any idea you stole it?  Think they'd care?  -- Just getting started, dearest, dearest Bro.  ... Delusionally believe I haven't more than enough time, resources, determination to expose you for the thieving piece of crap you truly are?  ... Under $500 back in 2013?  Remarkably parsimonious with stolen money aren't you?   What does it feel like to have gutlessly ripped off an incompetent old man?  -- Dear old Dad.  Certainly, look forward to digging much deeper into how you and your shyster lawyer managed to bamboozle and loot the old bastard.  Back in the day, certainly wouldn't have fallen for your bullshit.  Would have kicked your worthless, thieving ass out the door.  Intend to expose it to the light of day.  Indeed, a public service. Seatbelts on, you thieving son of a bitch. Tally ho!

TC 3-24-17

... Brief aside, dear readers, for a most exceptional reason.  -- Although infrequent, pressing ongoing personal business must come first on rare occasion.  Hope you agree, moreover, find it entertaining, -- as this writer did crafting what follows.  Principle trumps all.  Remains prime mover, prime directive no matter what.

This pressing issue involves a family thief. A heartless predator preying on the elderly who must be held accountable, exposed to the light of day.  Especially, since authorities failed to do their job.  The following is part of that continuing effort to expose this piece of shit for whom and what he is:

Hey, Bro?  Guess what?  Me, again.  Most determined pain in the ass.  Miss me?  An inconvenient, nagging hemorrhoid that simply won't go away no matter what.  -- A pile with a smile that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

... Delusionally think this most persistent nemesis of yours conveniently disappeared to parts unknown, vanished in thin air? To give a turd a break?  Wake up.  Not a chance, you thieving son of a bitch.  ... When you insanely believe this writer's gone and you're finally in the clear, guess what, here I am, right in your face.

Despite what's going on across our formerly great country, always have more than enough time for personal business.  That is, exposing you, Bro, to the glaring light of day.  A pathetically greedy predator.  Your target, who else, the elderly.  Most defenseless, vulnerable, an easy fleece.  -- Thought you'd steal from the surly old curmudgeon with impunity, no consequences?

Successfully escape accountability? Avoid detection, all responsibility?  Blatant theft of an old man's estate?  A little help from a bought and paid for hopelessly greedy unprincipled shyster?  Supposed cake walk due to 1800 miles separation?  No one to hold you accountable?  Your feet to the fire?  What could you possibly been thinking?

You've read this publication before.  Know precisely who and what I am, what I do.  Never give up.  Never say die.  Ignore all obstacles.  Know full well Liberty In Peril modus operandi remains as relentlessly ferocious, blindingly intense as ever.

No punches pulled.  No slack.  No personal consideration.  Certainly, not for a gutless son of a bitch, no more than a thieving predator.  Looted target, guess who, dear old dad.  Pitiful.  Delusionally believe you had the booty coming?  An entitlement?  For having had to put up with his shit all those years?  Wake up.

Hear of Historic Deerfield?  Of course, you have, you lying son of a bitch.  Forget?  You're one of their not-so-generous 'benefactors.'  ... With all the money stolen from our father's estate, only bequeath them a piss poor $40 bucks?

Unbelievable.  An achingly tight, cheap, thieving, worthless piece of duplicitous crap.  ... Write-off?  Negligible.  ... Feather  in the cap?  How?  Delusionally believe your treachery would never see the light of day?  What planet do you live on?

Board of Trustees Chair Anne K. Groves know full well you looted the estate?  How about President Philip Zea?  Think both don't have a right to know?  How about Anne Lanning, Vice President For Museum Affairs?  To say nothing of Susan Martinelli, Vice President For Business Affairs?

These officials are entitled to know precisely whom they're doing business with.  A thief.  Gutless phony.  Blow-hard fraud.  Hoity-toity dandy.  Worse?  An unprincipled thief who stole from his father.  ... Glaring light of day sucks, doesn't it, Bro?  No escaping the unvarnished truth, this most bitter reality.  Not a chance.

Saddest of all?  Back in the day, Hell would have frozen over before anyone would have have been able to rip off the craggy old bastard.  Remember quite well how intent, determined he was not to be fleeced late in life by a sick son of a bitch like you.

A leech.  Ironic, isn't it?  Gutless rip off of an old man who couldn't adequately handle his affairs any longer.  How do you sleep nights?

Fraud runs in the family, clearly.  History repeating itself.  Right in the footsteps of our grandmother's son, who callously ripped off his mother decades ago.  Again, another achingly pathetic piece of human excrement.  Just like you.  Intend to lay it bare.  Methodically.  Painstakingly. In great detail.  Living, breathing color.

For all to see.  A public service.  Exposure of the criminal piece of human excrement you truly are.  For sustained public review.  A goddamned thief.  Pissed? Chagrined?  Nonplused?  Tough shit.  Sue.  Would certainly immediately post all discovery no matter the consequences.

All snail mail will be returned unopened.  No phone tag.  Got something to say? Email.  Say it right here.  On this website.  In public.  For the world to see.  Will be posted in its entirety.  No editing.  Unlike you, this writer doesn't lie, cheat, steal.  Honors his word.  Intend to expose you precisely for whom and what you are.

Duplicitous predator who preyed on his own father.  Blinding exposure to benefit the community.  Have nothing to lose providing this public service, but you do.  No better disinfectant than sunshine.

.. Think the old bastard not spinning in his grave?  -- Old lady not doing the same?  One thing for certain.  Neither brought you up to be a goddamned thief.  Yet, here we are.  ... Until next time, Tally Ho!

5-25-18

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Tim Chorney, Publisher
Liberty In Peril

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Two hundred seventy weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Two hundred seventy weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Two hundred seventy weeks.   Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded.  An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

7-3-20

Last three months been getting online at the Kingsland HEB.  Met quite a few readers at the picnic table.  -- People I didn't personally know, but who came up and introduced themselves.  Certainly, grateful for your concern, caring, and moral support.  One of the Front End managers, Kevin, had granted permission to plug in and access HEB Customer wifi at the picnic table some three months ago.  Someone in County government must have subsequently complained. Three months after the fact.  LOL.  Finally got the boot 6-27-20 from the achingly gutless Store Manager who couldn't, or wouldn't stand up to pressure from this asshole.

Pathetic, isn't it?  LOL.  Certainly, knew it was coming.  Hard to believe it took three months.  LOL.  Apparently, the gutless Store Manager, Monty, sent out the second in command, Dan, to deliver the happy news.  Spoke to him awhile, but sadly as expected, he had nothing substantive to say.  Other than, "leave."  LOL.  Advised him to send out the clearly reluctant Store Manager who apparently wanted to avoid the encounter.  Finally, came out.  Imagine that.

Asked the Store Manager, Monty Young, for a business card.  Remarkably, he had none.  Couldn't be, could it?  LOL.  An HEB Store Manager with no business card?  How is that possible?  Unlimited corporate greed?  Aryan arrogance of a privately-owned corporation?  Or, was he simply lying?  Informed him he'd indeed be front and center in this next edition.

Before getting into specific detail vis a vis my conversation with the Store Manager, it must be stated staff at the Kingsland HEB is second to none.  Have known many of them for years.  Work extremely well together as a team.  Certainly, exceptionally customer-friendly.  The problem with this store is not staff.  Not even the Store Manager and Assistant Manager per se, -- who apparently, despite their denials, had been pressured by someone.  It's the HEB corporate management suite at the root of most of the problems at this store.

The following salient issues were discussed with the Store Manager before I left.  -- Interestingly, none of which he denied.  LOL.  Readers, have you noticed cheaper generic products are either continually out of stock or discontinued?  Especially, after the store changed its product line weeks before the pandemic.  Apparently, in an effort to emulate the Marble Falls store that caters to the Horseshoe Bay elite.

New larger shopping carts were brought in to the Kingsland store so shoppers would supposedly buy more product, increase store sales.  Shelves are restocked 24 hrs.  Staff was unhappy because aisles are too narrow for the larger carts.  Makes it harder to stock shelves when the store is open.  Not only that, makes it much more difficult for shoppers to navigate the narrow aisles.

Product pricing has steeply increased.  They accomplish this both by directly raising prices, as well as in engaging in deception, that is, downsizing product.  One recent glaring example is their generic bleach.  For awhile, it was unavailable, out of stock.  Then, it was downsized from three quarts to two.  Price remained at $1.  A 33% increase.  Done deceptively.  At a time when inflation is supposedly non-existent.  What ever happened to the HCF quart and a half ice cream that sold for $1.99?  Long since gone.  Both aforementioned products had already been downsized once before.  LOL.  List can go on and on.  Unbridled corporate greed.

As I reminded the Store Manager, Kingsland residents, for the most part, are poor, young, elderly, and/or disabled, etc.  This store now caters to the rich who live on the lake and Sunrise Beach.  Not sustainable.  ... Especially, if the shit finally hits the fan vis a vis the Trump nazi, and/or a second shutdown occurs courtesy of the raging, poorly-handled, achingly mismanaged pandemic.

To store employees, all of whom I admire, consider personal friends, courageously provide your ongoing grievances to this publication.  I will publish them while protecting your identity.  If you won't stand up, nothing changes.

As I informed the Store Manager, the problem in Kingsland is the fact HEB has no substantive competition.  What is desperately needed is a Walmart or other major corporation to rattle the cage of local HEB management as well as the corporate management suite.  Until that occurs, nothing changes, shit happens.  ... Right, Monty?  Dan?

In the last two and a half weeks or so, three middle-aged women tripped and fell on the curb by the picnic table.  Third time, 6-26-20.  Took the Store Manager and Assistant Manager quite some time to exit the store and arrive with ice to quell the swelling of the woman who had fallen hard on her face.  I subsequently asked Monty to consider painting the curb iridescent red or orange to avoid injury and a future lawsuit.

Responded couldn't be painted red since it wasn't a fire zone.  Could certainly be painted orange or some other bright color.  If management doesn't care about a lawsuit, where is its concern for the pain and suffering if a customer trips, falls, and suffers serious injury?  ... Couldn't care less, Monty?  -- Or, is it, shortsightedly, insurance will indeed take care of it?  Wake up.  Just a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured and sues the living shit out of HEB.  Even if HEB prevails in court, it loses.  Consider the cost of bad publicity.

To the credit of management, both the Store Manager and Assistant Manager return carts to the front of the store, sanitize them, and pick up trash.  Recently, associates informed me the Store Manager wasn't happy about the performance of the Assistant Store Manager.  LOL.  Apparently, ole' Dan got too good at hiding in the store, shirking cart and other duties, etc.  LOL.  That's apparently changed.  ... Trouble in paradise, boys?  LOL.  Itching to retire, Dan?  LOL.  Give me a break.  Never a dull moment, -- at customer and staff expense.

Finally, to the motherf--ker in County government who likely complained, don't flatter yourself.  Three months?  What took so long you gutless piece of shit?  LOL.  No matter what, Liberty In Peril will remain up and running.  Despite the fact it's been more than 21 years, just the very beginning.  Far more to come.  Far more County corruption, malfeasance, criminal activity to be followed up, and/or exposed.  LOL.  ... Bribed by Johnny Greene, Madam County Attorney?

Readers are advised there is a sticker on the back of the power supply stating:  "Please remove this sticker."  It cannot be easily removed.  Will not peel off.  Have hesitated to scrape it off since doing so might obliterate anything underneath it, -- if anything.  It is not covering a vent and there is no technical reason that it be removed.  Certainly, did not affect operation of the supply for the last year and four months I've had the machine.

Not all husbands and dads are jackasses.  Some are even appreciated by their wives.  LOL. Seatbelts on.  ABC News reports:

"A picture of a man sleeping on a hospital floor is sparking conversations surrounding equal parenting. Sara Duncan, a mother of two and teacher from Fredericktown, Missouri, posted the image onto Facebook after she and her husband, Joe Duncan, took their youngest child to the emergency room. "I posted that from the bottom of my heart to my husband, because I know that I don't give him enough recognition for how phenomenal he is as a husband and a father," Sara Duncan told "Good Morning America." "I could tell him, but it's not enough. I really did want to tell people, 'It's not always going to be perfect, but it will always be worth it.'"

How about that?

"Joe Duncan works as a cement technician and had just finished a 12-hour shift that night on March 23. Sara Duncan said she told him she wanted to bring their daughter to the hospital to be evaluated after noticing she was wheezing. Sara Duncan said Joe Duncan had to return to a morning shift a few hours later, so he changed into clean work clothes and took the one-hour drive with his family to the hospital. "He's a 'I have to be with you' type of guy," Sara Duncan said. "I knew that he was exhausted. I said, 'Stay home. I know my way at [the hospital], and he was like, 'No. You're not going up there by yourself.'"

How about that?

"Sara Duncan said her child received minor treatment and was cleared to go home after two hours. When Sara Duncan looked down on the ground, she said, she noticed Joe Duncan using the car seat as a pillow to sneak in a snooze. "I was looking at him thinking how thankful I am for him and how I wouldn't want to do this life without him," Sara Duncan said as to why she wanted to capture the moment. "Parenting is really hard," she added. "I can't imagine doing it without him. Kudos to single moms. I have a husband who cooks, cleans, does diapers and baths, and I'm still exhausted."

How about that?

"Sara Duncan's post was shared more than 31,000 times. She wrote: "Let’s talk about this because it doesn’t get enough attention... What some may see: Dad sleeping while Mom stays awake holding their sleeping baby in the ER at 2 a.m. What I see: Dad sleeping on the hard floor of an ER after working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week for the last month, despite the fact his wife asked him to stay home and rest, all because he didn’t want his babies in STL alone. Because he didn’t want his wife to have to do it on her own, no matter how exhausted he is."

How about that?

"Marriage and parenting isn’t 50/50. Some days it is. Other days it’s 60/40, 70/30, or even 80/20. And you have to be willing to pull your weight, no matter what your partner needs that day. This is what love is. This is what being a husband is. This is what being a daddy is. And I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else! Thank you for all you do for us Daddy! We love you!"

How about that?  Remarkable, isn't it?  Encouraging, as well.

"Look for that in your partner and appreciate that 60/40, 70/30," Sara Duncan told "GMA." "Everyone deserves that." Reproductive psychiatrist Dr. Alexandra Sacks told "GMA" that while society has come a long way when it comes to acknowledging men and women equally, whether it be at work or inside the home, the equality issue is far from resolved. "In my patients I often see that mothers and their partners value shared parenting roles and responsibilities, but often in the day-to-day domestic tasks and the work of what we call "emotional labor" -- the invisible labor of caretaking -- still disproportionately falls on the women," Sacks explained. "It's important that we keep talking about this in the workplace and on the domestic front if we're going to keep moving forward in our culture and if parents and all people are to be valued equally," she added. Sacks said it's important to discuss your expectations of roles and responsibilities before entering parenthood and to touch base over time about how the division of labor is working out in your relationship as your parenting experience evolves, she added."

No longer.

Portland jackbooted bastards in blue throw hissy fit.  NPR reports:

"All of the officers, sergeants and detectives with the Portland Police Bureau’s Rapid Response Team — the unit responsible for policing protests in the city — resigned from the team together Wednesday night. Police bureau officials called the move unprecedented. The resignations from the unit came after news this week that one member of the team, Officer Corey Budworth, would face criminal charges for excessive force used during a racial justice protest last year, and that a second Rapid Response Team member, Det. Erik Kammerer, is being investigated by the Oregon Department of Justice on similar allegations. Three sources who work for the city of Portland confirmed the resignations to OPB on Thursday morning, ahead of an official statement from the police bureau. The officers remain employed with the Portland Police Bureau, but will no longer work as part of the Rapid Response Team. Assignments to the team are on a voluntary basis within the police bureau. The resignations were first reported by KXL."

Why weren't the jackbooted sons of bitches fired?  Start from scratch.

"Speaking to OPB on Wednesday, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt said his office was still reviewing other use of force cases by officers related to protests, leaving the door open for further criminal prosecutions against RRT members. In a statement Thursday, the police bureau confirmed the approximately 50 officer team would no longer work together. “This does not mean there will be no response in public order situations,” Acting Chief Chris Davis said in a press conference. “We’ll use the resources we have.”

... Who runs the department, Chief?  You, -- or these jackbooted pieces of shit?

"Davis, who is filling in for Police Chief Chuck Lovell while he is away at a training, said the police bureau is in discussions with neighboring law enforcement agencies, though some of those same agencies have expressed hesitancy in the past to assist Portland’s efforts to police protests. Still, Davis said through staffing adjustments and coordination with other law enforcement, he was confident the bureau could manage any event where the Rapid Response Team would typically deploy. “What you’re likely to see is similar response, just using a little different approach with on-duty resources as opposed to the specialized folks coming in and taking on that mission,” Davis said. The Rapid Response Team deployed frequently over the past 14 months, regularly staffing protests, which has come at a cost to the city both financially and in officer morale. According to city budget figures, Portland police racked up nearly $7 million in overtime in June and July of 2020 alone. Davis said members of the unit expressed several grievances to management about the past year, including objections to Budworth’s prosecution."

Tough shit.  Why is it these jackbooted bastards in blue are unwilling to be held accountable for their abuse of power?

“They brought up that among a lot of other things,” Davis said. “I think that, really, this is the culmination of a very long process and it’s not just an indictment that caused this to happen.”

Sounds more like a hissy fit, blatant bullshit:

"The Portland Police Association, the union that represents rank-and-file officers, has lobbed criticisms at Schmidt’s office this week over Budworth’s prosecution, calling it a political move and saying that Budworth was “caught in the crossfire of agenda-driven city leaders and a politicized criminal justice system.” The prosecution brought against Budworth was done with assistance from the Portland Police Bureau and came as a result of a grand jury process."

So what is the problem?  Sounds like the piece of shit received due process, -- most unlike civilians harassed, arrested, and prosecuted by these bastards.

"Budworth is accused of hitting activist photographer Teri Jacobs from behind with a baton. Several videos of the incident posted to social media show Jacobs with her hands over her head moving away as officers clear a street near the Multnomah Building on Southeast Hawthorne Avenue. An officer in the video, identified as Budworth, hits Jacobs once in the head from behind, and then hits her head again in the face after she falls to the ground."

What a goddamned, gutless piece of shit.  This crap gives law enforcement a black eye.  Destroys all credibility.

"In February, the city of Portland settled a lawsuit for $50,000 with Jacobs, who was wearing press credentials at the time of the alleged assault. Jacobs’ case was just one of the accusations of excessive force the Rapid Response Team faced during 2020, where the bureau recorded around 6,000 incidents of force. That’s led to several lawsuits against the city, as well as criticism from U.S. Department of Justice prosecutors, who say Portland officers have veered far from the required use of force policies under a federal settlement agreement. In a statement late Thursday, Portland City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty sharply rebuked the officers for resigning during a moment of accountability and reiterated her support for the district attorney. ”What today’s action says is that some Portland police officers believe they are above the law,” she wrote. “I support District Attorney Mike Schmidt in his efforts to hold police officers accountable when they commit crimes themselves because no one is above the law.” Hardesty has been a consistent critic of the police team and had called for the unit to be disbanded last fall. But, she said, she wanted to see the unit dissolved through council action — not in protest by the police themselves."

Here's the problem:

”I remain deeply concerned these RRT resignations are yet another example of a rogue paramilitary organization that is unaccountable to the elected officials and residents of Portland,” Hardesty said. On Thursday, Schmidt said he had “confidence” the bureau would still be able to manage public safety without the Rapid Response Team. “In the meantime, my office will continue to focus on the fair and just prosecution of criminal matters. We cannot expect the community to trust law enforcement if we hold ourselves to a lower standard,” Schmidt wrote. Davis said the bureau would continue to work with Schmidt’s office to get past “friction points” that he said naturally arise during difficult times. “I don’t expect that we will see what some other cities have seen where that relationship deteriorates and people aren’t talking to each other,” he said. “I don’t see that happening here.” Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, who is the city’s police commissioner and is facing a recall effort in part because of complaints the police bureau used a heavy hand in responding to 2020 protests, said he was ordering the Portland Police Bureau to prepare “mobile field forces to respond to any public safety needs, including potential violence-related mass gatherings.” Wheeler said Oregon Gov. Kate Brown had also made officers from the Oregon State Police available if needed. The mayor also said he acknowledged “the toll this past year has taken on (Rapid Response Team members) and their families.”

What a crock.

"Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt announced Tuesday that his office has indicted Portland Police Bureau Officer Corey Budworth on a charge of fourth degree assault. The indictment is the second against a Portland police officer to stem from last year’s racial justice protests, during which the bureau documented more than 6,000 use-of-force incidents against protesters. After announcing a Portland Police officer’s indictment for assault on a protester, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt confirmed Wednesday that other use of force incidents are still under review."

United Press International reports:

"Officers on the Portland Police Bureau's Rapid Response Team in Oregon voted to resign en masse, the bureau said. The approximately 50 members of the specialized crowd control unit met on Wednesday as they voted to disband the team. They will remain sworn members of the bureau and continue their regular assignments. A team lieutenant called Chief Chuck Lovell to inform him of the decision, citing a perceived lack of support from City Hall and the district attorney over the past year as they responded to more than 100 consecutive nights of protests. "Have I ever seen anything like this in my career? No, I don't think any of us have," Deputy Chief Chris Davis said. The decision also came after a member of the team, officer Corey Budworth, was indicted on criminal charges accusing him of using excessive force during a protest. A Portland man also filed a lawsuit against RRT member Detective Erik Kammerer for allegedly hitting him with a baton while trying to speak with officers during a protest. Mayor Ted Wheeler, who serves as the city's police commissioner, met with Davis and Lovell in a video conference on Thursday morning and is expected to reach out to Gov. Kate Brown to consider back-up support from the Oregon National Guard if needed following the team's disbanding. The police bureau has also reached out to Oregon State Police for its mobile response team assistance in the event of protests occurring over the next few nights. "We're committed to providing the community the best service that we can. And this does not mean that there will be no response in public order situations," Davis said. "We'll use the resources that we have."

Why didn't you fire the sons of bitches?  Start from scratch.

NBC News reports:

"The entire Portland police crowd control unit resigned from the assignment a day after a grand jury in Oregon indicted an officer for allegedly using unlawful force on a protester. The Portland Police Bureau said that members of its Rapid Response Team (RRT) resigned as a group on Wednesday. Approximately 50 officers, detectives, and sergeants make up the team, Acting Police Chief Chris Davis said Thursday at a press briefing. Members of the RRT, which is a voluntary assignment, receive advanced specialized training to respond to incidents such as public-order policing as well as man-made and natural disasters. Their primary role is to provide crowd control at events including protests. All of the members who resigned from the team are still employed with Portland police and will continue with their regular assignments, the bureau said in a statement."

Why weren't the jackbooted sons of bitches fired?  Again, start from scratch.  Who needs this shit?

"The mass resignation came one day after officer Corey Budworth was charged by a Multnomah County grand jury with one count of fourth-degree assault after he was accused of unlawfully causing physical injury to someone during a protest on Aug. 18, 2020, near the Multnomah Building. "In this case, we allege that no legal justification existed for Officer Budworth’s deployment of force, and that the deployment of force was legally excessive under the circumstances," District Attorney Mike Schmidt said in a video statement. Budworth, who was a member of the RRT, has been placed on administrative leave. His attorney could not be immediately reached on Friday. Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell said in a statement Tuesday that he could not "provide additional details" about the officer's indictment. The Portland Police Association slammed it as a "politically driven charging decision." "Unfortunately, this decorated public servant has been caught in the crossfire of agenda-driven city leaders and a politicized criminal justice system," the union said in a Facebook post."

Why is it you corrupt, abusive, sons of bitches refuse to be held accountable for excessive use of force, including murder?

Here comes the bullshit:

"The association said that Budworth was trying to "restore order during a chaotic night of burning and destruction" when he was knocked to the ground while trying to clear demonstrators. As an officer attempted to arrest one of the demonstrators, other protesters allegedly interfered, the union said. Budworth used his police-issued baton to "push" a demonstrator, causing the person to fall to the ground, the union said. Thinking the person was going to get back up "to re-engage", Budworth allegedly tried to push the person again with his baton but "accidentally struck" the person in the head, according to the union."

What a crock of shit.  Precisely, why you bastards have no credibility.  Wouldn't know truth if it figuratively bit you hard on the ass.

"Police at the time declared the protest a riot, saying that traffic was blocked, the Multnomah Building was vandalized, and several fires were set. As police tried to disperse the crowd, they were struck with projectiles, the department said in a release. Teri Jacobs identified herself as the demonstrator who was hit by Budworth's baton. She later filed a civil lawsuit saying that she was working as a photojournalist when the officer knocked her to the ground, according to The Associated Press. The city settled the suit earlier this year for $50,000."

Nowhere near enough.  Does nothing to discourage these pieces of jackbooted excrement from abusing authority.  Beating the shit out of innocent civilians, or worse, murdering them.

"Acting Chief Davis said that members of the RRT brought up Budworth's indictment among many other things when resigning. "I think that really this is the culmination of a very long process and it's not just an indictment that caused this to happen," he said. "I think this really has very deep roots." Davis went on to say that the RRT has experienced "unbelievable" challenges over the past 14 months and the team raised a lot of concerns that the bureau needs to address. "I want to just acknowledge how challenging these times are, how challenging they have been ... since the beginning of the pandemic," he said. "Certainly all of just the national conversation and events in the wake of the murder of George Floyd and the tremendous amount of stress that has been placed on our entire organization, certainly the members of RRT, as a result of some really difficult times that they went through."

If you bastards did not abuse authority, none of this would have been a problem.  Sadly, it's how you perversely get your cookies off.

"The United States Attorney’s Office District of Oregon also addressed the resignations in a statement. “Communities across the nation have endured many challenges over the past year as they attempt to address racial inequities in the wake of the murder of George Floyd,” Scott Erik Asphaug, Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon, and Kieran L. Ramsey, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI in Oregon said in a joint statement. “In Portland, those challenges included large and sometimes violent demonstrations that strained our local resources and repeatedly placed officers in the difficult position of policing large and sometimes hostile crowds. As law enforcement officials, we recognize that community members and law enforcement officers alike are responsible for their conduct and that our judicial system is designed to address wrongdoing equally, whether by community members or law enforcement officers.”

That's certainly not true throughout most of this country.  Law enforcement is seldom held accountable for its crimes.  That's beginning to change, but we still have a long, long, long way to go.

"Davis said the resignations will not interfere with police response to public order situations. He added that he has been in communication with other law enforcement agencies to make sure there is a plan in place to provide protection."

Instead of the endless bullshit, how about finally doing something to rein in these corrupt, abusive, criminal sons of bitches in blue?

Never ends.  CBS News reports:

"A police officer in Springfield, Ohio has been placed on paid administrative leave after dash camera footage showed her patrol cruiser running over a Black shooting victim who was calling 911 for help. The man died shortly afterwards. Officer Amanda Rosales was responding to the 911 call from Eric Cole, who called at 11:15 pm to say that he had been shot. "I'm in the middle of the street," Cole told the dispatcher. "I'm about to die." Cole remained on the phone with dispatchers as Rosales responded to the shooting. He told the dispatchers when he was hit with the patrol cruiser. "They just hit me," Cole said. "Who hit you?" the dispatcher asked Cole. "The police," he said. During a press conference on Wednesday, Police Chief Lee Graf identified Rosales as the officer who hit Cole. "This was an accident. It doesn't mean it's OK. It was an accident. This was not an intentional act on the part of the officer. I am sure of that," Graf said in the press conference. "From what we are initially piecing together, remember this is all under investigation, the lead officer was trying to catch the addresses on the house. Eric was lying in the street as you can see from the videos — and the officer did not see him." Cole's autopsy revealed abrasions to his back and lower chest, lacerations to his left shoulder and back, and internal bleeding. His sternum and multiple left ribs were fractured, and there was blunt force trauma to his arms, knees and legs, according to CBS affiliate WHIO. The cause and manner of his death were listed as pending. Cole's family attended the Springfield police press conference. "We thinking the gun people that shot him ran him over — but the Springfield Police Department ran him over. So yes, we're upset. You know what I mean? We're all upset," Cole's cousin said."

Desperately needed change?  In follow-up to a case covered repeatedly in this publication and elsewhere, NPR(AP) reports:

"The coastal Georgia county where Ahmaud Arbery's slaying raised an outcry over racial injustice has hired its first full-time Black police chief. Glynn County commissioners voted Thursday for Jacques Battiste to lead an embattled department that some Georgia lawmakers tried unsuccessfully to abolish last year. A former FBI agent now serving as a deputy constable in New Orleans, Battiste was chosen after a search conducted by the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police with assistance from the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives. "I promise you I will bring my best game every day," Battiste told residents during a community forum earlier in the week. Battiste's hiring comes after a turbulent year for the Glynn County Police Department. The agency was widely criticized for making no arrests after Arbery, a 25-year-old Black man, was chased and fatally shot by three white men who spotted him running in their neighborhood on Feb. 23, 2020. Charges came more than two months later after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation took over. Days after Arbery's killing, Glynn County Police Chief John Powell was indicted on unrelated malfeasance charges in what prosecutors called an illegal effort to cover up a narcotics officer's affair with a confidential informant. He was placed on leave until the county fired him in January. The problems prompted Georgia lawmakers to approve a measure giving voters a chance to abolish the Glynn County police agency and hand its powers to the elected county sheriff. A judge declared the referendum unconstitutional before the 2020 elections. Battiste is the first full-time Black police chief hired by Glynn County, The Brunswick News reported. He will take over from Interim Chief Rickey Evans, a department veteran who also is Black. In a nod to the police department's past problems, Glynn County commissioners also voted Thursday to make the police chief a contract employee who meets daily with the county administrator. Before coming to Georgia, Battiste spent 22 years as an FBI agent who specialized in counter-terrorism, special events security, SWAT and hazardous device response. After retiring in 2017, Battiste became police chief for Xavier University in Louisiana. Since 2019, he has served as tactical and training coordinator for the Orleans Constable Office in New Orleans."

Victims of the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue sue.  In follow-up to a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, ABC News reports:

"Two college students who say they were assaulted and shot with stun guns by Atlanta police officers last year plan to file a lawsuit against the city, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and several of the officers they say were involved in the incident."

What took so long?

"At a press conference, attorneys for Taniyah Pilgrim and Messiah Young said police stormed their car, smashed their windows and physically assaulted them on May 30, 2020. News of the incident, caught on camera, went viral last year. "For these young people to have this video out and have to live with this for the rest of their lives is unthinkable, but we are here to hold the city and all those involved accountable," said Mawuli Davis, Young's lawyer. A spokesperson for the mayor's office said that the city "has not been served with any such lawsuit" and therefore was unable to comment on any potential litigation. The two students talked about the emotional and physical trauma they say they've suffered since the incident. "A huge part of my life was diminished," Young said. "Trying to move forward from this point is very irritating and very triggering. At a point, just seeing brutality continue, you would think there would be some type of reform or change at this point." Pilgrim is a student at Spelman College and Young is a student at Morehouse College. The two were driving past a protest about the death of George Floyd, and it was after 9 p.m., when the city curfew began. Young, who was in his car, was filming protesters being arrested. He said police officers warned him to keep driving, but the two students appeared to be stuck in traffic. The attorneys for the students say that police then surrounded the vehicle and tried to force its doors open. Officers allegedly then smashed through the windows of the car, shot Young and Pilgrim with stun guns, and assaulted them, the attorneys said. The two were pulled from the car, according to a statement from the attorneys, and Pilgrim was thrown to the ground by officers and handcuffed while face down on the pavement. He was not charged with a crime. Young was punched repeatedly in the back by officers and suffered a laceration in his arm that required stitches, according to the statement. Young was charged with eluding police and released on bond. "We have plans to be moving on with our lives ... and unfortunately that's been put on hold," Pilgrim said at the press conference. She described still needing medical treatment for injuries related to the incident. "Our lives are now at a standstill because of this when we should be able to be moving on as, you know, the officers are doing." Young said he's reminded of the alleged assault every day. "The events that took place that night should not have transpired how they did," Young said. "It makes no sense at all." Six police officers were variously charged by Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard with aggravated assault, pointing or aiming a gun, simple battery and criminal damage to property following the incident. Officers Lonnie Hood, Roland Claud, Mark Gardner, Armond Jones, Willie Sauls and Ivory Streeter had arrest warrants issued in connection with the incident. They all turned themselves in shortly after they were charged and were all granted signature bonds."

Nazi justice in a de facto fascist police-state:

"Bottoms and Shields fired officers Gardner and Streeter for excessive force, but their termination was overturned earlier this year and they have been reinstated with the department."

Unadulterated bullshit in a de facto fascist police-state:

“We were able to get a Civil Service Board hearing and were able to prove to the Board’s satisfaction that the officers were denied due process,” attorney Lance LoRusso, who is representing officers Gardner and Streeter, told 95.5 WSB last year. “They failed to follow the ordinances and failed to follow their own policies, and the Board ordered them reinstated.” LoRusso blamed the students for the incident, saying it would not have escalated if the students had followed police orders. LoRusso also told WSB that the reversal of the two officers' termination was "a victory for due process." "Rushing to judgment is not going to solve anything,” LoRusso said."

A raucous boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Seig Heil!, Counselor.  Time to figuratively remove your head from your ass.  Aggressive stupidity is unbecoming.  Worse?  Outright lying, distortion of reality to justify assault perpetrated by your criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.

Uncommon Valor.  In follow-up to an earlier edition of this publication and elsewhere, NBC News reports:

"Charmaine McGuffey defeated the man who fired her to become the sheriff of Hamilton County, Ohio. Her rise to the top was far from easy. Charmaine McGuffey knew she wanted to be a police officer since she was a teen in Cincinnati in the early 1970s. At that time, though, women weren’t allowed to be uniformed officers. Eventually that barrier fell and McGuffey joined the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in 1983. Over three decades of service, she received numerous commendations, including being promoted to major in command of jail and court services, making her the highest-ranking woman in department history. But McGuffey said even as she rose through the ranks, she was subjected to harassment and humiliation for speaking out against excessive force and because of her sexual orientation. In 2010, McGuffey said, she and her friends were targeted by officers outside a gay bar in Covington, Kentucky, just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati. “They were horrible. When they found out I was a captain, it became this thing, like, ‘What are we going to do about her?’” she told NBC News last year. “They pushed me to the ground and handcuffed me. It was absolutely unlawful what they did, and they knew it.” The officers cited her for public intoxication, menacing and disorderly conduct. Prior to the incident, McGuffey had been closeted at work. Ultimately, the charges, all misdemeanors, were dropped. But the sheriff’s office still suspended her for five days without pay."

Outrageous.

"Then, in 2016, a deputy filed an official complaint alleging McGuffey belittled subordinates. Her superior, Sheriff Jeff Neil, launched an internal investigation that determined McGuffey “used her position to retaliate against employees, as well as engaged in favoritism,” according to department records. To McGuffey, though, the goal was to discredit her. A later court ruling agreed, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer, suggesting the investigation may have been simply an excuse to justify demoting her. “The obvious differences in the way these investigations were conducted raise genuine issues of material fact as to pretext," U.S. District Judge Susan Dlott wrote in 2020. In 2017, after more than 30 years on the job, Neil, the man who had promoted McGuffey to major, demoted her to a lower-paying civilian job. She refused the position and was fired. It was a major blow — seemingly the end of everything she had worked for. But after nursing her wounds for a year and a half, McGuffey decided she could do Neil’s job better herself. In 2019, she declared her candidacy for sheriff of Hamilton County, which covers the southwestern corner of Ohio, including Cincinnati. In April 2020, she handily defeated Neil in the Democratic primary with 70 percent of the vote. She won the general election in November, becoming the first lesbian sheriff in Ohio history, according to the LGBTQ Victory Institute. “It was very gratifying,” McGuffey said of her victory. “It told me that the community was ready for change and embraced my belief that law enforcement and the community can come together with a common voice to enact reform in the criminal justice system.” She was sworn into office in January, but there was little time to celebrate. The Covid-19 pandemic swept the state — including Hamilton County jails, the third-largest jail system in the state. “My first priority was to ensure the safety of our staff and the prisoners in our custody and care,” she said. “That included enhanced cleanliness in the jail and working with county officials to provide vaccines to staff and prisoners.” At the same time, she was determined to see through her campaign commitments about leading the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office with accountability, transparency, dignity and respect."

Uncommon Valor.

“I presented a 100-day plan that outlined my priorities … including reviewing our use of force and training policies, working with community members to review our response to undocumented residents, creating a Community Affairs Division and establishing a volunteer Citizens Review Board.” Despite her victory, the support of her community and the love of her wife, Christine Sandusky, McGuffey admits having pride in being part of the LGBTQ community hasn’t come easy. “I grew up in a very conservative community,” she said. “I grew up knowing that I was different, that I was gay. I was forced to hide my identity and lie about my personal life. I experienced heightened anxiety around most ‘straight people’ and my fear of being outed was paralyzing. There were times when I wondered if I would survive.” She credits those who came before her and fought for equality and visibility. “I now stand proud and fearless about who I am,” she said. “My hope now is to empower and encourage all LGBTQ people to stand with pride and be counted! I am so proud of every person who has joined the fight for equality — you are my brother, my sister, my friend.”

Uncommon Valor.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Consider the following.  Frightening how difficult it is to attain justice when an officer murders on the job.  ABC News reports:

"A judge will decide this week whether to charge a Wisconsin police officer who killed a man sitting in a parked car, after the man's family invoked a rarely used legal process in a bid to get around prosecutors who cleared the officer."

Sad, isn't it?  These bastards usually protect and coddle their own.  While that finally seems to be changing, we, indeed, have a long, long, long way to go.

Get this:

"Joseph Mensah shot Jay Anderson Jr. in 2016 after he discovered him sleeping in his car after hours in a park in Wauwatosa, a Milwaukee suburb. Mensah said Anderson was reaching for a gun."

Think that's true?  Wake up.  Consider the following:

"Anderson was the second of three people Mensah killed during a five-year stint with the Wauwatosa Police Department. Prosecutors cleared Mensah in each case. But an attorney for Anderson's family stumbled onto an obscure legal option to force a grand jury-like proceeding against Mensah in which a judge rather than a jury hears evidence."

How about that?  Shouldn't justice always be the bottom line?  ... Not protection and coddling of murderous, jackbooted pieces of shit in blue.

"A Milwaukee judge could implement the little-used procedure on Friday and charge Mensah directly. It's a case being watched by at least one other family frustrated by a prosecutor's decision not to charge a police officer who shot their loved one. “We kind of thought that was it,” Anderson's father, Jay Anderson Sr, said of Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm's decision not to charge Mensah. “They let him get away with murder is what they did." He called the hearing “a blessing to me and my family.” Mensah, who is Black, joined the Wauwatosa Police Department in 2015, the same year he shot and killed Antonio Gonzales, who identified as a Latino and American Indian. Prosecutors said Gonzales refused to drop a sword. The Anderson shooting came the following year. In 2020, Mensah shot and killed 17-year-old Alvin Cole as Cole fled from police following a disturbance in a mall. Cole was Black. Mensah said he shot Cole because Cole pointed a gun at him. That shooting sparked months of protests, and Chisholm's decision not to charge Mensah set off several more nights of protests in Wauwatosa in October. Mensah resigned from the Wauwatosa Police Department the following month, collecting a $130,000 severance payment. He now works as a Waukesha County sheriff's deputy."

How about that?  Who says a murderous jackbooted bastard in blue is not above the law?

"Kimberley Motley, an attorney representing the Gonzales, Anderson and Cole families, said she was researching the use of grand juries in Wisconsin in hopes of finding another avenue for charges and found what's known as the John Doe option. Wisconsin law dating to the state's territorial days set up such proceedings as a check on prosecutorial discretion. Similar to grand jury investigations, prosecutors can invoke the process to subpoena witnesses and question them under oath and in secret in hopes of gathering enough evidence to justify charges against someone. Prosecutors used the process in the early 2010s to investigate then-Republican Gov. Scott Walker's campaign operations. Walker was never charged. An even more obscure section of the John Doe law allows citizens to ask a judge to open a John Doe when a prosecutor has declined to file charges. The judge can choose to initiate the investigation and decide whether to run it publicly or in secret. The citizen or his or her attorney can question witnesses in front of the judge with no cross-examination. The judge can then decide whether to issue charges and appoint a special prosecutor to handle the case. At least six other states, including Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota, have similar provisions for citizen-initiated grand juries. A Kansas woman who alleges she was raped collected enough petition signatures last month to force a grand jury investigation after prosecutors declined to file charges. Citizen-initiated John Does are rarely used in Wisconsin. Marcus Berghahn, a criminal defense attorney and adjunct law professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, said they happen perhaps once or twice a decade in the state. Motley said she's not aware of any John Does being used against police officers."

Fascinating, isn't it?

"Motley filed a petition seeking one in February. She argued in the filing that no Wauwatosa officer besides Mensah has shot and killed anyone in the line of duty in more than a decade. She also highlighted the 19 shots he fired in the three incidents, calling it “an extraordinary number." “Most police officers never fire a single shot in the line of duty during their career and multiple homicides by a single officer is an even rarer occurrence,” she wrote."

Certainly, true.

"She alleged that Anderson never touched the gun on the passenger seat, and said Chisholm faces a conflict of interest whenever he reviews an officer-involved death. The risk Mensah poses to public safety is too great not to appoint a special prosecutor, she said. Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Glenn Yamahiro agreed to open an investigation, and heard testimony at five public hearings. Motley has asked Yamahiro to charge Mensah with second-degree reckless homicide and homicide by negligent use of a weapon. Mensah’s attorney, Jon Ceremele, didn’t return a message. He said in February that Mensah has been cleared of any criminal liability, he clearly acted in self-defense and Motley didn't have any new evidence to present. Wauwatosa Police Chief Barry Weber testified in May that he considered Anderson armed, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. Motley subpoenaed Mensah, but Ceremele said he would simply invoke his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and wouldn't speak. He didn't appear in court after Yamahiro accepted that contention, Motley said. Motley said Anderson's case could point the way for other families who have lost loved ones to police and want to pursue the accountability they feel they didn't get when a prosecutor decided not to charge an officer. She said she's weighing whether to pursue the same process for the Cole and Gonzales families. Justin Blake, whose nephew Jacob was paralyzed from the waist down after being shot by a Kenosha police officer in August, attended one of the Mensah hearings. He said the family is trying to familiarize itself with the John Doe process. A Kenosha County prosecutor cleared the officer in Jacob Blake's case, saying Jacob Blake had been fighting with officers and was wielding a knife. “It would be just tremendous if we were able to indict this criminal cop," Justin Blake said, referring to Mensah. "That would lay the groundwork for our family to get justice for Little Jake when we’ve had no justice. There’s just so much leeway for cops to get out when they do criminal stuff. This is a way to keep their feet to the fire.”

No justice.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Another criminal jackbooted piece of shit in blue.  Seemingly, no end to the violence perpetrated by this human excrement.  ABC News reports:

"A Southern California sheriff’s deputy is under criminal investigation after he was recorded on video kicking a pursuit suspect in the head while the man appeared to be surrendering. The San Bernardino County deputy, who was not named, has been placed on paid administrative leave, the Sun newspaper reported Saturday."

Why no transparency?  The public has a right to this information.  This piece of shit presents an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

“This incident raises concerns. I expect my deputies to remain professional while engaging the public,” Sheriff John McMahon said in a statement."

Empty rhetoric, Sheriff.  Why hasn't he been identified, then fired?  Why are you protecting and coddling this piece of excrement?  Why are you abrogating your falsely sworn oath of office to uphold the United States Constitution, rule of law, etc.?

"The suspect was riding a motorcycle early Wednesday when he failed to pull over for a traffic stop and led the deputy on a high-speed chase on Interstate 15 and surface streets near Victorville, the newspaper said. He eventually ditched the motorcycle and hid at a car dealership."

Does this perversely grant this officer carte blanche to become judge, jury, and executioner, Sheriff?

"Video obtained by the website TMZ shows a man emerging from underneath a car, putting his hands up and then getting on his knees. The man begins to lay flat on the ground when the deputy takes two quick steps and kicks the man in the head. The man rolls over slightly and the deputy kicks the man in the head a second time."

Was he attempting to kill him, Sheriff?

"A second deputy runs into view and assists in handcuffing the man. “Due to this being an active investigation, no further details are being released about the incident,” sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller said Saturday."

Called bullshit, Madam Spokeswoman.  That the best you have, Ma'am?  Pitiful.

"The department’s report on the criminal investigation will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges, the newspaper said. A internal investigation will take place to determine whether the deputy violated any department policies."

'Comforting,' isn't it?  Sound like justice to you?  Or, more of the same old shit.

"The motorcyclist, identified by sheriff’s officials as 33-year-old Willie Jones, was treated at the scene for injuries before being arrested on suspicion of felony evading."

Why the lack of transparency?  No problem with identifying the victim, but one with identifying the jackbooted piece of shit responsible for trying to kill him?  The public is entitled to the identity of your jackbooted bastards in blue involved.  The taxpayers pay your salaries.  You bastards present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Why haven't these two deputies been identified and fired?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Another racist murder by a jackbooted bastard in blue.  ABC News reports:

"After her husband was shot when he entered a home he mistook for a temple, Lindsay Myeni is speaking out and demanding justice. On the night of April 14, Lindani Myeni, a husband and father of two young children, was fatally shot by Honolulu police after entering a home he may have confused for a next-door public temple, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed by his widow, Lindsay Myeni. She is demanding justice in the wake of the shooting death of her husband, a South African rugby player who was unarmed when he was fatally shot by Honolulu police. Myeni told "Good Morning America'" that her husband was going to a nearby temple the night he was killed. She said that when he plugged the temple's location into his phone using GPS, the directions sent him to a house next to the temple. "I kissed him goodbye in the kitchen, that's my last interaction," Myeni said about her final moments with her husband before he went on a drive that night. Myeni, a third-generation Hawaiian native, said the family decided to move to the island after previously living in Denver for a little over a year because, "Hawaii was home, Hawaii was aloha, its cultures all together, different races." The couple believed Hawaii's diversity would provide a safer environment for raising their two Black children, she said. "I just never thought, I would think of Honolulu as a bad place, as a dark place ... it's just full of love and aloha," said Myeni. "To have this place be so dark, and to actually have this other side where our police are just like the rest of the mainland, it's like there's no safety, there's actually fear now." Doorbell camera video obtained and made public this week by the Bickerton Law Group, which is representing the family of Lindani Myeni, shows a different camera angle about the events leading up to the deadly encounter with officers. The footage shows that he arrived at a house, removed his shoes, entered the home and then quickly left after his presence confused the occupants. He repeatedly apologized. The woman in the house then called 911. Over the phone, she sounds upset as Lindani Myeni is heard repeatedly saying, "I'm sorry" to the couple of tourists who were renting in the building. In the video, he then puts his shoes back on and appears to go back to his car. As Honolulu police arrive and head toward the car, the woman is heard yelling, "That's him! He's still in the car!" "Get on the ground now," one officer is heard yelling as he approaches Lindani Myeni. In the police body camera video, Lindani Myeni can be heard asking, "who are you?" in a seemingly confused voice. Shouting is heard and then police use a stun gun on him before shooting him four times."

Jackbooted murderous motherf--kers in blue.

"After firing the gunshots, police can then be heard identifying themselves."

How about that?  After they murdered him.

"According to the family's lawsuit, he would not have known it was police shining bright lights in his eyes that night and likely mistook the house for a next-door temple open to the public. In a press conference in April following the shooting, Honolulu police defended the officers' actions. According to a report from The Associated Press, Acting Deputy Chief Allan Nagata acknowledged officers didn't identify themselves before shooting, but said it was clear they were police, even in the dark. He said the officers were in a "fight for their lives."

What a crock of shit.  Lying motherf--kers.  Gutless pieces of shit.

"On Thursday, Honolulu police told ABC News that they are investigating the shooting and the officers involved have been placed on "restrictive duty," which means their police powers have been removed and they're assigned to desk duty for now. A New Jersey couple who rented the house, have now made a complaint to the FBI regarding "concerns that they were targeted because they're Asian," said Scot Brower, an attorney representing the homeowner and the tourists. The couple "absolutely" did not know Lindani Myeni when he walked into the house without consent or permission, said Brower. The lawyers representing the Myeni family said they were not aware of the details of the complaint at this time. "Overall the sad part is that the 911 couple has not shown any remorse whatsoever and they have kind of retreated into this corner where they're viewing themselves as the victims," said Bridget Morgan-Bickerton, an attorney for the Myeni family."

How do they sleep nights?

"Days before Lindani Myeni's death, his wife said that the couple received life-changing news when it was revealed to him that he was a Zulu prince of his hometown in South Africa. She said that he was looking forward to accepting his new role and returning home to help his community. "He was just telling me all his ideas, we were inspired and excited," she recalled. "And then that drive to clear his mind like ended in death and it's just hard for me to even accept that he's not going to walk through the door right now." Myeni said that she has not watched the videos of her husband's fatal shooting by police. "I can't, I will never watch my husband be murdered," she said. "I can't visually just watch them murder my husband. This can't be my last memory." She also said that she believes race played a part in her husband's death. "One-hundred percent, I know in my heart if it was a white man ... if it was me, I'd still be alive. I'd be walking around," said Myeni. "He has a Black Lives Matter shirt that has the names of the people who were murdered," she continued. "He never thought he was going to be the next name on the list and he was proud of George Floyd, that his life meant something." Myeni, a 29-year-old widow now raising two young children as a single parent, is calling for justice following her husband's death. She said she wants to see multiple changes including police reform, accountability for the officers as well as the 911 callers and more widespread implicit bias teachings to counter racism. "I would just love to see that change, because I think it's possible," she said."

Sadly, we have a long, long, long way to go.

"Myeni said that even though "it's really hard to forgive right now," she would also like to extend an invitation to have dinner with the officers and the 911 callers "for them to see my beautiful kids." "There's something so natural and human as just having dinner together and I think that was my heart," Myeni said. "I honestly would love to have dinner with their family, my family just to see each other as humans."

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Someone's lying.  Guess who.  The Washington Post reports:

"A 25-year-old Black man who was shot and killed by a Virginia Beach police officer in March was fired upon without warning and posed no threat at the time of the shooting, the man’s father contends in a federal lawsuit filed Monday. The account of the killing of Donovon Lynch in the suit contradicts that of Virginia Beach police, who have said the officer who shot Lynch and a second officer both told investigators that the former college football player was brandishing a gun at the time. Wayne Lynch, Donovon’s father and the lawsuit’s plaintiff, said the family believes the police account of the shooting is false, and they want their son’s name cleared. They also want a federal probe of the shooting. The family says Donovon Lynch, who sometimes worked in security, had a gun that he was legally carrying that night. “We’ve made several attempts to have something done, to have the word ‘brandishing’ redacted from their statement [about what happened],” Wayne Lynch said. “They’ve refused to do that. They haven’t done anything.” The lawsuit filed in Norfolk also alleges the officer who opened fire is Solomon D. Simmons. The suit names Simmons and the city of Virginia Beach as defendants. The officer did not respond to requests for comment. The Virginia Beach police and the Virginia State Police, who took over the probe of Lynch’s killing after a public outcry, have yet to identify the officer involved and have released limited details about the shooting."

No transparency.  None.

"Virginia Beach police referred questions about the lawsuit to the city. A city spokeswoman declined to comment because officials had not yet been served with the suit. Lynch was fatally shot March 26 during a chaotic night of gunfire on Virginia Beach’s oceanfront. Two people died, and eight others were injured in three separate shootings on the strip, a popular nightlife destination. More than 100 officers were deployed to the streets that night in response. The lawsuit claims Lynch and a friend went to the oceanfront for a night on the town and had nothing to do with the violence. The pair decided to leave the oceanfront after the first shooting and were walking to their car when Simmons came upon them, according to the lawsuit. Simmons never identified himself and opened fire without warning, hitting Lynch twice, the lawsuit contends. Lynch died a short time later. “Mr. Lynch was not speaking or acting in a manner that would suggest he posed any threat let alone a deadly threat to Officer Simmons or anyone else,” the lawsuit reads. “He was neither resisting or evading arrest.” Virginia Beach officials have said the officer who shot Lynch and a plainclothes detective told investigators Lynch had a gun out at the time of the shooting. The police have said they would not discuss what led up to the shooting, but they have released a photo of the weapon they said was recovered from the scene."

No transparency.  None.

"The body camera of the officer who shot Lynch was not activated at the time, police have said, and the reason for that remains under investigation. The plainclothes officer did not have a body camera, police have said. In the days after the shooting, Virginia Beach police said they had not found any surveillance cameras that captured the events."

Fascinating, isn't it?  No transparency.  None.

In another article that goes into far greater detail, The Washington Post reports:

"Donovon Lynch and Darrion Marsh went to the oceanfront strip to celebrate one of the first warm Friday nights of spring, but found themselves trying to escape what one witness described as gunfire "coming from everywhere." Gunmen had sprayed roughly 100 shots near the throngs flocking to bars and restaurants in two separate shootings on the night of March 26. More than 100 Virginia Beach police were sweeping through the streets to quell the chaos. One person had already been killed and eight others injured as Marsh and Lynch retreated to their car shortly before midnight, but the violence wasn’t over yet. Marsh said the gunfire began again without warning. One bullet flew toward Lynch, 25, as they trudged across a grassy patch next to a parking lot. More shots sent the 300-pound former college football player crashing into a hedge with fatal injuries. Marsh glanced left and saw the shooter for the first time — a Virginia Beach police officer with a gun extended in their direction. He said he was shocked to recognize the officer as a friend. Marsh said Lynch, who had a permit to carry a weapon, had a gun in his pocket that night but Marsh never saw it come out before or during the shooting. The account contradicts what Virginia Beach said two officers have told investigators: They saw Lynch brandishing the weapon. Marsh’s account is the first to emerge from an eyewitness to the shooting not connected to police. While dramatic video has captured a number of recent high-profile police killings, Lynch’s shooting remains murky nearly three months later."

No transparency.  None.

"The officer who shot Lynch did not have his body camera activated for reasons that remain under investigation. No cellphone or surveillance video has surfaced publicly. And the Virginia Beach police, who have not yet publicly named the officer who fired, have offered shifting accounts of the shooting."

Sounds and looks like a cover-up.

"The uncertainty has pained Lynch’s father, who this week filed a federal lawsuit against the city and the officer. “It’s appalling we haven’t had any updates with the family or the public,” said Wayne Lynch. “It’s been over 75 days.”

Sounds and looks like a cover-up.

Gets even more interesting:

"The Lynch family lawsuit and Marsh identified the officer as Solomon D. Simmons. Simmons and his family did not respond to repeated requests for comment. Marsh said he, Lynch and Simmons had attended high school together. Marsh said he and Simmons had hung out many nights in the years since, and Marsh even sent Simmons an encouraging text when anti-police rhetoric was high during protests over police killings of people of color last year. Marsh, Lynch and Simmons are all Black. “D., you killed Donovon,” Marsh recalled telling Simmons as he passed, using his nickname. Marsh said Simmons didn’t reply and never looked at him. Marsh said he wanted to publicly discuss the shooting because he was frustrated with the official version of events, which he thinks falsely portrayed a man he considered “like a brother” as a thug. “They have a lot of questions that need to be answered,” Marsh said of the Virginia Beach police. “I didn’t want it to get swept under the rug.” The Virginia Beach police and the Virginia State Police (VSP), who have taken over the investigation, declined to comment on Marsh’s account of Lynch’s shooting, saying they didn’t want to compromise the ongoing probe. A spokeswoman for the VSP said the investigation has been held up by the attorney for the Lynch family, Jeffrey Reichert, an accusation Reichert denies."

Someone's lying.  Guess who.

“Our investigation has been slowed as multiple, relevant witnesses have informed us that they were advised by attorney Jeffrey Reichert not to speak to the Virginia State Police or provide us any information,” Corinne Geller, the spokeswoman, said in a statement. For Marsh, March 26 began with promise. He recalled impatiently texting Lynch around 7 a.m. that Friday to suggest a night out. The forecast was calling for temperatures in the 80s and the threat of covid-19 was easing. Marsh said he originally met Lynch in high school, but reconnected in recent years after Lynch finished college at the University of Virginia at Wise, where he was a lineman on the football team. Both cleaned houses and Lynch had a number of other businesses, including selling large-size shoes and providing security. Lynch was also the cousin of music star Pharrell Williams. Wayne Lynch said Donovon was the heart of the family, gregarious and generous. “Donovon was — is — the most influential person in our family,” Wayne Lynch said. “Everybody gravitated toward Donovon because of his loving, caring personality [and] his humble spirit.” Marsh and Lynch met up around 7:30 p.m. and drove together to the oceanfront. The strip is the center of local nightlife and a popular destination for tourists. Though it was only March, Marsh said the area had the feel of a night during the height of the vacation season. They spent the next four hours eating, walking around, chatting up girls and bar-hopping. Roughly around 11:30 p.m., Marsh said he stepped out of a bar called the Boxx to get some air and found a full-blown emergency. Firetrucks, police cars and ambulances were everywhere, Marsh said. Yellow police tape stretched for blocks. Virginia Beach Police Chief Paul Neudigate later told the city council that five people associated with two gangs had fired into a crowd around 11:20 p.m., following a fight. Eight people were injured.

"Marsh said he and Lynch decided to go home and headed for their car, parked roughly four blocks away. Marsh said they passed people detained by police and others being loaded into an ambulance, stopping briefly to talk to acquaintances. Marsh recalled two friends parted with the words: “Be safe.” Shortly after 11:50 p.m., Marsh said he heard gunfire erupt from a municipal parking lot nearby. The shooting was so intense Marsh said he could see billowing smoke. Investigators later recovered 56 shell casings in the area. Neudigate told the city council it appears likely that a stray bullet from the shooting, which was unrelated to the one earlier in the evening, struck and killed 29-year-old reality TV star Deshayla Harris as she was walking nearby. Her family questions that theory.

"Marsh said he and Lynch had to pass by the parking lot where the shooting occurred to get to their car, but they figured it was safe after he saw police run into the area. They were walking along a hedge next to the parking lot when the officer came upon them. Marsh said he was trailing about eight feet behind Lynch, staring right at him, when he heard the first shot. Marsh said he did not see his friend pull out a gun. He said he thought Lynch had his hands in his pockets, where they were much of the night. “I hear five gunshots go off,” Marsh said. “Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop.” Marsh said he did not hear the officer tell Lynch to put his hands up or give other warnings. Marsh said he bolted across the street on the second shot to avoid the gunfire. He said he tried to return to Lynch’s side, but was blocked by an officer who arrived. He went to the hospital, waiting in vain for his friend to arrive.

"LaCrisha Miller, a tourist from South Carolina, said she was about 50 yards from the scene of the shooting. She saw about eight to 10 Virginia Beach police officers outfitted with tactical vests and rifles run toward Marsh and Lynch’s location before the gunfire began. She said her view of the shooting was blocked by a power box but she did not hear officers give Lynch any commands. After the shooting, Miller said a group of police officers, firefighters and paramedics moved Lynch toward her. Soon after, the paramedics placed a white sheet over Lynch’s body, Miller said. Reichert said he was pronounced dead just after midnight. “I cried like a baby,” Miller said. “I felt the weight of that loss. I didn’t know whose child that was.” The extreme violence of the night and the police shooting of another Black man turned the events into national news and stirred protests. After the shooting, Virginia Beach police offered different accounts of what happened. Initially, Virginia Beach police said an officer opened fire after coming upon an “armed citizen.” Neudigate later said they found a firearm in the vicinity of the shooting, but didn’t immediately have evidence that it was linked to Lynch. On the Monday after the shooting, police announced the officer involved in the shooting and the plainclothes detective told them that Lynch had been brandishing a gun at the time of the shooting. They released photos of a handgun they said they recovered from the scene. Neudigate told the city council the next day he was turning over the probe of Lynch’s shooting to the state police after a public outcry for an independent investigation. He also said the probe was hampered by a lack of evidence. He said they had yet to find any video evidence of the killing."

Sadly, catastrophically, this looks and sounds like quite a cover-up:

“I’ve worked a lot of these in 32 years of policing,” Neudigate said. “This is the first time that I’ve encountered a situation where we have no body-worn camera footage, we have no independent video footage, we have no immediate independent witnesses, and we have no timely statements from the involved parties.” Lynch’s family has been skeptical of police representations about the case. They said it’s hard to believe no video exists of a shooting that occurred in a major tourist zone with more than 100 officers in the area. Convinced Lynch was not brandishing a gun, they have called for a federal probe. “I just want justice for my son,” said Wayne Lynch. “It’s a tragedy I wish no other parent would go through. ... Police brutality is killing African American men and women and it’s got to stop.”

We can't live without good, law-abiding, non-abusive law enforcement.  Status quo, -- unsustainable.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.  Too deaf to hear?  -- Or, too aggressively stupid.

Nazi justice.  Courtesy of a Trump-appointed 'judge.'  In follow-up to a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, NPR reports:

"A federal judge has dismissed claims that former White House officials conspired to forcibly remove peaceful protesters last year from Washington, D.C.'s Lafayette Square so that then-President Donald Trump could pose for a photo holding a Bible at a nearby church. The lawsuit stems from June 1, 2020, when U.S. Park Police and National Guard troops dispersed a largely peaceful gathering of Black Lives Matter protesters from the square near the White House using tear gas and pepper spray."

Readers will recall:

"Trump, accompanied by then-Attorney General William Barr, then-Defense Secretary Mark Esper and Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, strode to St. John's Church across from the square, where the photo was taken."

Led to the following:

"In four overlapping suits, Black Lives Matter and three other plaintiffs represented by the American Civil Liberties Union alleged that the former president, Barr and other Trump administration officials conspired to violate the civil rights of the protesters."

Get this.  Comes from Biden's 'Justice' Department:

"Last month, the Department of Justice asked U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich to dismiss the lawsuits. On Monday, Friedrich called the plaintiffs' claims speculative and dismissed the allegations against Barr, Gregory Monahan of the U.S. Park Police and other federal officials. In her ruling, Friedrich, a Trump appointee, wrote that the plaintiffs had failed to prove an agreement or plan to violate the rights of the protesters. "These allegations, taken as true, do not show sufficient 'events, conversations, or documents indicating an agreement or meeting of the minds' amongst the defendants to violate [plaintiffs'] rights based on [their] membership in a protected class,' " she said."

Clearly, the 'judge' protected her fuhrer, the Trump nazi.  Unanswered question?  Why would Biden go along with this bullshit?  If, in fact, he didn't know, why didn't he?

"The ACLU had said that the forcible clearing of the square could have a chilling effect on free speech, a contention that Friedrich also rejected. "The plaintiffs allege that they continue to demonstrate in or near Lafayette Square and that they fear law enforcement officers may disperse or attack them," she wrote. "The plaintiffs' primary basis for these fears are the alleged events of June 1, 2020 and President Trump's social media posts before and after the clearing of Lafayette Square," she continued. "Significantly, the plaintiffs do not rely on any alleged law or policy as the basis for this claimed risk of future harm."

What a crock of shit coming from a Trump-appointed nazi 'judge.'

Gets worse.  Get this:

"The judge also ruled that Barr, Monahan and others are immune from civil suits and cannot be sued for damages."

Imagine that, government officials above and beyond the law.  Nazi America.  De facto fascist police-state.

"BREAKING: Today, a federal judge dismissed our lawsuit that held federal officers accountable for attacking Lafayette Square Park protestors with tear gas, rubber bullets, and flash bombs on June 1, 2020.
    — ACLU of the District of Columbia (@ACLU_DC) June 21, 2021

"In a tweet, the ACLU of the District of Columbia said the ruling not only represents "a stunning rejection of our constitutional values and protestors' First Amendment rights, but it opens the door for future violence at the hands of the federal government and effectively places federal officials above the law."

How about that?

Get this:

"One claim against the federal defendants survives: Friedrich said that the plaintiffs can still challenge continued restrictions on access to Lafayette Square because they have "plausibly alleged an ongoing injury."

Called double talk, bullshit.

"To this day, over a year after the events of June 1, Lafayette Square remains subject to heightened restrictions that periodically limit protestors' access to the Square," she said. "Despite the change in Administrations, the federal defendants have not met the high bar of showing that this claim has been mooted by subsequent events." In asking for the suits to be dismissed, Justice Department trial attorney David Cutler said last month that the police acted lawfully and that the president's security is of "paramount" government interest, according to The Washington Post. This month, the Interior Department's inspector general, Mark Greenblatt, concluded that the U.S. Park Police did not clear the protesters from the square specifically for Trump's photo-op. "[T]he evidence established that relevant USPP officials had made those decisions and had begun implementing the operational plan several hours before they knew of a potential Presidential visit to the park, which occurred later that day," Greenblatt wrote in a statement."

None of this is sustainable.  No justice.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

No justice in a de facto fascist police-state, right, Sheriff?  In follow-up to a case covered repeatedly in this publication and elsewhere, CBS News reports:

"A grand jury on Tuesday declined to charge eight officers over the in-custody death of Marvin David Scott III, according to a press release from the Collin County District Attorney's Office. The 26-year-old Black man, who was originally arrested for possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana, allegedly died after officers at a Texas detention facility pepper sprayed him and put a spit mask on his face as he was suffering from a mental health crisis. "After careful consideration of the applicable law and all the relevant facts we find that no probable cause exists to charge any person with a criminal offense related to the death of Mr. Scott," the grand jury said in a statement obtained by CBS Dallas/Fort Worth."

Nazi justice.

Goddamned unadulterated bullshit:

"We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Mr. Scott for the terrible loss you have suffered," the grand jury added. "We hope you can someday find peace."

The above rates a most heartfelt "F--k You!" from the outrageously aggrieved family and friends.  To say nothing of the public.  Gets worse.  Get this:

"Scott was arrested on March 14 by the Allen Police Department, which said he was "acting in an erratic manner" at an outlet mall. Police said he was then held in an emergency room for approximately three hours "due to the possible ingestion of drugs."  At approximately 6:22 p.m., Scott was transferred to a detention center in Collin County, Sheriff Jim Skinner said during a March press conference. Skinner said Scott began showing "strange behavior" in the booking area some time after he arrived, but did not elaborate."

Why no transparency?  Why a cover-up?  What are they desperately trying to hide?  The truth?  Readers will recall:

"While attempting to secure Scott to a restraint bed, officers deployed pepper spray once and placed a spit mask  — a covering with netting fabric designed to prevent a person from spitting on officers — on his face, Skinner said. Scott fell unresponsive while being placed on the bed at approximately 10:22 p.m., and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. In early April, Skinner fired seven officers who he said "violated well-established Sheriff's Office policies and procedures" when handling Scott, and accepted the resignation of an eighth officer who was under investigation. At least one of the officers appealed the decision and has since been reinstated, according to CBS DFW. Weeks later, a medical examiner ruled Scott's death a homicide, attributing it to "fatal acute stress response in an individual with previously diagnosed schizophrenia during restraint struggle with law enforcement."

No transparency.  None.  Why?  To cover the sorry asses of these goddamned jackbooted thugs in blue?

"The jury viewed video footage of the incident, which has not been made public. Scott's family was also permitted to view the footage in late April, and said they saw "repeated opportunities" to provide aid to Scott, who "was clearly in a schizophrenic episode." "Instead, he was maced," said family attorney Lee Merritt. "He was assaulted, he was restrained, he was treated as someone who was being criminally non-compliant, not as someone in need of desperate help." "When I was watching this, I felt like I wanted to be there for him, but I couldn't. It was too late," another family member said. "And we ask for justice because at this point that's all we can ask for."

There is no justice in a de facto fascist police-state.  None.  By design.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"Scott's family has been informed of the grand jury's decision, Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said in Tuesday's release. Merritt tweeted that the family was "extremely disappointed" in the decision, adding that they look forward to a review by a federal grand jury. "The failure of prosecutors to secure indictments in this matter reflects a trend in Texas of undervaluing the lives of African American's suffering mental health crisis," Merritt, the family attorney, wrote."

These prosecutors protect their jackbooted bastards in blue.  Fail to uphold their falsely sworn oaths of office to uphold the U.S. Constitution, rule of law.

Unadulterated, galling bullshit promulgated by these bought and paid for pieces of human excrement:

"Attorneys for the eight officers said that they are "thankful" for the decision, and claimed that Skinner's "rush to fire our clients was nothing more than a frightened politician sacrificing the livelihoods of dedicated public servants for political expediency."

How do you congenital liars sleep nights?

"The Collin County Sheriff's Office declined to comment on Tuesday's decision, citing pending civil service hearings for seven of the officers."

Family, indeed, needs to sue the living shit out of these murderous jackbooted bastards, department, and county.

Was the jury bought and paid for?  Stacked with citizens in the pocket of the jackbooted bastards in blue no matter what they do or don't do?  Galling bullshit:

"In the absence of charges, the jury recommended establishing a work group to study what occurred the night of Scott's death, and to establish best practices for treating individuals with mental illness who come into contact with the criminal justice system. Willis, the district attorney, said Tuesday that he planned to assemble such a group. "I too share the grand jury's concern for the treatment of individuals suffering from mental illness, and I pledge to honor Mr. Scott by taking the lead in assembling a working group to look for lessons learned so that his tragic in-custody death will not have been in vain," Willis said."

Jesus Christ.  What a crock of disingenuous bullshit.  How do you hypocritical bastards sleep nights?  Attend church on a regular basis?  Yet, support, gallingly exonerate these murderous jackbooted bastards in blue?  How can there be any faith and trust in law enforcement when they murder with impunity?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

U.S. Supreme Court reins in the jackbooted bastards in blue.  In follow-up to a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, NPR reports:

"In a case originating with a California Highway Patrol officer's pursuit of a vehicle and ultimately entering the driver's home, the Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that police may not enter homes without a warrant for minor crimes. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that police cannot always enter a home without a warrant when pursuing someone for a minor crime. The court sent the case back to the lower court to decide if the police violated the rights of a California man by pursuing him into his garage for allegedly playing loud music while driving down a deserted two-lane highway late at night." Writing for the unanimous court, Justice Elena Kagan said police had no right to enter the man's home without a warrant for such a trivial offense. "On many occasions, the officer will have good reason to enter – to prevent imminent harms of violence, destruction of evidence, or escape from the home," she wrote. "But when the officer has time to get a warrant, he must do so – even though the misdemeanant fled." The court's ruling came in the case of Arthur Lange, who was playing loud music in his car late one night, at one point honking his horn several times. A California highway patrol officer, believing Lange was violating a noise ordinance, followed him, and when the motorist slowed to enter his driveway, the officer put on his flashing lights. Lange, who later said he didn't notice the police car, drove into his garage. The officer, in "hot pursuit," got out of his car and put his foot under the closing garage door sensor to force the door open again. He had no warrant to enter the home, but once inside, he said, he smelled liquor on Lange's breath and arrested him, not only for the noise violation, but also for driving under the influence. Lange appealed all the way to the Supreme Court, contending that the officer had no right to enter his home without a warrant and that the DUI evidence had been illegally obtained. The Supreme Court has long held that police may conduct a warrantless search when pursuing a fleeing felon. The question in Lange's case was whether police are free to do the same thing when pursuing someone suspected of a minor offense like playing loud music. "[P]ursuit of a misdemeanant does not trigger a categorical rule allowing a warrantless home entry," she wrote."

There are problems with the latest Supreme Court LGBTQ ruling that could have profound long-term consequences.  NBC News reports:

"Legal experts and advocates are split on what a decision Thursday by the Supreme Court on the rights of religious groups means for LGBTQ rights in the near term. The court ruled unanimously in favor of Catholic Social Services, a religious adoption agency that wanted an exemption from Philadelphia's nondiscrimination law, which would have required the agency to allow LGBTQ couples to adopt. Experts say the ruling was much narrower in scope than it could have been. The court could have ruled that religious social services providers contracted by governments are broadly exempt from nondiscrimination laws, which would have allowed them to refuse to serve LGBTQ people, among other groups. Rather, the court ruled that Philadelphia violated the Free Exercise Clause and discriminated against the agency in applying its licensing process, which allows contractors to request exemptions to parts of the contract. Though advocates are split on the decision's impact, they agree on one thing: Thursday’s ruling demonstrates a pattern of the high court taking the side of faith-based organizations and businesses without answering the larger question of whether they have a right to discriminate against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people. Some advocates worry about how the decision could affect future cases, and the message it sends to LGBTQ adoptive parents and LGBTQ kids in the foster care system."

The long-term issue with this ruling is its ignorance of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is, freedom from religion.

"The court's ruling in Fulton v. City of Philadelphia is similar to Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission in 2018, when the justices ruled in favor of a baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple. Like in Fulton, the court didn't answer the broader question of whether the baker had a religious right to refuse to serve the couple, but instead ruled that the Colorado Civil Rights Commission was "hostile" toward the baker's religious beliefs in its application of the state's public accommodations law protecting LGBTQ people from discrimination. Fulton, like Masterpiece, was "a very process-based decision," Anthony Michael Kreis, assistant professor of law at Georgia State University, said. "You have this kind of very specific decision that hones in on the city of Philadelphia's policy and how it was implemented, rather than a recrafting of rules across the board," Kreis said. "As a consequence, this really doesn't imperil all LGBTQ rights or civil rights, generally across the board, whether it be public accommodations or housing or employment."

There is a far greater issue with this ruling.  It does allow church-based groups to discriminate against the LGBTQ community.  That's a problem.

The following is no more than bullshit, sadly making the best out of an untenable long-term issue:

"The ruling isn't a victory for LGBTQ advocates, but it's important that the court "is consistently refusing to grant that type of broad license to discriminate," said Jennifer Pizer, law and policy director for Lambda Legal, an LGBTQ legal advocacy organization. "And that means nondiscrimination laws can and should continue to be enforced, regardless of people's reasons for wanting to discriminate against other people," she said."

Delusionally believe that will truly happen?

"Though the court has consistently declined to issue a more broad victory for faith-based organizations and businesses, Pizer said it's also "going out of its way" to find reasons to rule in favor of the religious claimant on very narrow grounds. "In this case, the city of Philadelphia, in our view, should have easily won if you look at the details of how its system really works," Pizer said. "It has good reasons for how it enforces its nondiscrimination law, because it's prioritizing the interests of children, not the interests of the agencies who want city contracts." Each year, approximately 20,000 youth age out of the foster care system. Queer couples are seven times more likely to adopt or foster children than different-sex couples, according to the Williams Institute at UCLA. They are also more likely to adopt older children, children with disabilities and minority children, research shows. The court noted in its opinion that Catholic Social Services didn't actually turn away any LGBTQ couples. It also said excluding Catholic Social Services as a contractor would narrow the pool of adoptive parents, though Pizer argues that allowing social services providers to turn some prospective parents away would actually narrow the pool. Kreis said the ruling could affect LGBTQ parents in Philadelphia "for a while." He suspects the agency will have their contract renewed, and then the city might rework its policy to eliminate the exemption process for contractors — which the Supreme Court said was applied unequally in the case of the Catholic agency.  Pizer said the city — and any government agencies that contract with private organizations to provide social services — should establish clear standards for exemptions from nondiscrimination laws, and should ensure that enforcement procedures are always applied equally."

Think that'll happen?

"Elizabeth Sepper, a law professor at the University of Texas, Austin, said the decision in Fulton could prompt other social services providers to come forward and demand a similar exemption — not just when it comes to working with LGBTQ families. She notes that religious agencies have also rejected families with different religions, and she suspects they could also reject divorced families or single parents for religious reasons. "They're going to look closely at their contractual requirements and see if there is language that suggests the possibility of individualized exemptions, and they're going to really lean on Fulton in advancing requests for an exemption," she said. The Fulton decision is not only part of a larger pattern of the court siding with religious claimants, but it also indicates that the justices may be willing to take a broader look at case law related to religious objectors, Kreis said. "Six of the justices suggested they were open to re-evaluating some older case law and maybe giving religious objectors more constitutional rights than they have currently under constitutional doctrine,” he said. “That could spell trouble for LGBTQ rights, that could spell trouble for women's rights and for health care access and abortion and all sorts of regulations that religious groups might object to.”

Certainly, an exigent threat to the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is, freedom from religion.

"The court is also sending a discouraging message to LGBTQ young people in the foster system and to LGBTQ adoptive parents, said Ron Richter, a gay adoptive parent and CEO and executive director of JCCA, a foster care program in New York. "The Supreme Court is saying it's OK for a government to contract with agencies that as a policy will not license [or] certify couples that have affirmed same-sex relationships," Richter said. “For teenagers that are struggling with their own sexual identity and their gender identity, they're being told by the Supreme Court, you may need to go into a home that the government is contracted with that, based upon religion, doesn't believe that your future relationship is appropriate. That is it. And that could happen based upon where we're headed and what this decision says." Though the decision is limited in scope, Richter said it's an "invitation" for broader challenges from faith-based foster agencies, which, down the road, could have a significant negative impact. "This ruling is narrow," said Stacey Stevenson, CEO of Family Equality, an advocacy organization for LGBTQ families, but the need for foster and adoptive parents, "is large, absolutely." "It shrinks the available pool of parents when agencies are allowed to discriminate," she said."

An increasingly nazi U.S. Supreme Court seems more than willing to impose this.

"Stevenson said the Fulton decision highlights the need to pass legislation like the John Lewis Every Child Deserves a Family Act, which would prohibit federally funded adoption agencies from discriminating based on religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and marital status. She said the Senate also needs to pass the Equality Act, legislation that would provide federal nondiscrimination protections to LGBTQ people in many areas of life. It passed the House in February but has stalled in the Senate since a hearing in March. She also stressed that the ruling does not affect foster care programs generally. "It does not create a general right for taxpayer-funded foster care agencies to discriminate, which is good news for the 400,000 children who are in foster care across our country."

Truly, believe that's true?

How can Biden effectively sell democracy abroad when Republican nazis continue to do all they can to impose autocracy in our formerly great country?  The Washington Post reports:

"Standing under the wing of Air Force One in Geneva on Wednesday — after a week-long trip abroad in which he repeatedly extolled the virtues of democracy over autocracy — President Biden seemed briefly to knock his own product. “I never anticipated — notwithstanding, no matter how persuasive President Trump was — that we’d have people attacking and breaking down the doors of the United States Capitol,” Biden told reporters, referring to the Jan. 6 insurrection in the former president’s name. “I didn’t think that would happen, I didn’t think I’d see that in my lifetime.” But then, like any good pitchman, Biden quickly regained his footing. He said the deadly mob attack had simply reaffirmed what he’d long been taught, by everyone from his political science professors to his former Senate colleagues: “Every generation has to reestablish the basis of its fight for democracy. I mean, for real, literally, have to do it.”

The reason for that is quite simple.  The Founders were far from perfect.  So too, following generations.  Called human nature.  Forget?  Top of the food chain cares only about itself and its interests.  Lines its pockets off the bottom and middle class.  Gets its cookies off abusing power.  So what else is new?  The problem is we tolerate it.

"As Biden hopscotched across Europe this past week on his first trip abroad, his most prominent message, repeated everywhere, was the need for democracy to prevail over autocracy in what he cast as the existential challenge of the 21st century. America, he promised, was back at the helm of that struggle."

Sadly, it's not.  Forget?  Democrats have done nothing to effectively combat the greatest exigent threat to life, liberty, democracy, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties, -- the nazi element in the Republican Party. Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"But the fight for democracy, or a version of it, is unfolding not just in Europe but also in the United States, and Biden’s message is complicated by the turmoil in the country he leads — the Jan. 6 attack, Trump’s baseless claim that the 2020 election was stolen, the push to restrict voting, the ongoing “audits” of elections whose results have long been settled. In fighting for democratic values abroad, Biden risks seeming as though he is looking past the threats in his own country."

Sadly, he is.  While indeed a breath of fresh air compared to the Trump nazi, he has been achingly ineffective combating the rise of nazism in the GOP.  The following is also an exigent threat to what is supposed to be a democratic republic:

“Anytime you have a really divided country, it’s going to make the president look weaker,” said Michael Kazin, a Georgetown University historian. What is especially striking now, he added, is how many Americans question Biden’s victory and say they are open to political violence: “A disputed election is one thing. It’s another thing to have a large number of people in the losing party say that they don’t accept the results.” Biden visibly wrestled with this challenge at times during his week-long trip to Cornwall, Brussels and Geneva. At NATO headquarters in Brussels, he paused and let out a small sigh before answering a question about how the assault on the Capitol, and America’s polarized politics in general, might undercut his credibility with allies who know that Trump or a Trump-like figure could be back in power in Washington in a matter of years."

If that happens, an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically could likely become reality.

"He essentially argued that Trump was an aberration. “I’m not making any promises to anyone that I don’t believe are overwhelmingly likely to be kept,” Biden said. European leaders, he added, “know our recent history — know, generically, the character of the American people” and believe, as he does, that “the American people are not going to sustain that kind of behavior.”

Hopefully, that's true.  Certainly, doesn't currently look that way with Republican nazis denying the results of the 2020 election, buying the Trump nazi's bullshit.

"The dilemma is unlikely to fade anytime soon. Biden’s next foreign trip could come this fall, when the Group of 20 meets in Rome and a climate summit is held in Glasgow. At the same time, Trump has signaled that he will ramp up his activities, holding rallies and endorsing candidates as he continues to promote the falsehood that the election was stolen, with many Republicans vocally agreeing. And Biden also faces doubts from more liberal quarters. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), the chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, said democracy is in serious peril in the United States. Nevertheless, she said, that shouldn’t stop Biden from promoting democracy over autocracy on a global scale."

Needs to do a far better job of promoting it here.

“There’s no question we have a lot of work to do to protect our democracy here, and I think we saw on January 6 how close we came to losing it,” Jayapal said. “But I don’t think that undermines our ability to make that argument around the world. I actually think in some ways it strengthens our argument to say, ‘We are dealing with these same factors in the United States.’ ” Yet in making his pitch on his first trip abroad, Biden largely steered clear of underscoring the problems in the United States, as Jayapal suggested. “The truth is that we still do have a democracy. And it’s teetering. It’s on the brink,” Jayapal said. “If we don’t pass these voting rights laws, then I think we will be in a position where people will no longer look to America, and we’ve already seen that happen in some ways.”

Certainly, an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Biden and his fellow Democrats don't seem to fully understand this, -- or, gutlessly ignore it.

"Biden’s position in some ways echoes that of American leaders in the aftermath of World War II, when the United States faced off against the Soviet Union for the moral high ground. America’s case at the time was damaged by racism and segregation at home, which Russian leaders were quick to highlight."

Sadly, they were quite right about that.  Yet, we failed to correct the problem over the last seven decades.  Continue to ignore it, despite all the continuing abuse throughout law enforcement and other government agencies.

"As Biden made his way across Europe this past week, he hugged democratic allies close after the estrangement and hurt feelings of the Trump years. He also tried to put some victories in democracy’s column at every stop. He succeeded, but only to a point that illustrated the limits of democratic consensus. In Britain, for example, Group of Seven leaders announced that rich democracies would give one billion coronavirus vaccines to poorer nations, but that came only after months of complaints that the United States, Canada and other wealthy nations were hoarding vaccines, a phenomenon critics called “vaccine apartheid.” And the donation, while large, was immediately branded insufficient to meet the needs of vaccinating the world population. “We need more than that,” U.N. Secretary General António Guterres said, even as he welcomed the effort. The United States is contributing half the total — 500 million Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines — in what Biden framed as the U.S. reclaiming leadership at a moment of crisis. “America will be the arsenal of vaccines in our fight against covid-19, just as America was the arsenal of democracy during World War II,” he declared."

The following is also far from resolved:

"Biden also prodded allies to adopt a newly skeptical view of China, but neither the G-7 nor NATO went as far as he had hoped in naming and shaming what the United States calls exploitative Chinese investments and aggressive Chinese military posturing."

We have ourselves to blame for this over the last fifty years since trade was opened up with this communist nation by Nixon and Corporate America, in the interest of cheap products, unlimited greed.

"The summer camp vibe of democratic good feeling became a solo journey when Biden arrived in Geneva for a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which in some ways came down to a mano-a-mano dispute over democracy in the United States. After a three-hour meeting at a historic villa in Geneva, Putin seized on Biden’s tumultuous domestic situation to dismiss human rights abuses in his own country. He portrayed the attack on the Capitol as laudable and racial justice protests as anti-democratic, echoing the perspective of many on the right. Pressed on why so many of his political opponents wind up poisoned, jailed or dead, Putin accused the United States of killing and imprisoning peaceful political protesters involved in the Jan. 6 riot. The veteran Russian leader, who has consolidated power and wealth while neutering political opposition, went on to say that his crackdown on opposition leaders is partly to avoid the rise in Russia of movements like Black Lives Matter."

No question.  A racist piece of shit.

"Ian Bremmer, president of the Eurasia Group, a risk assessment firm, said Putin was essentially deploying what partisans in the United States have taken to calling “whataboutism,” citing an opponent’s alleged faults to distract from one’s own. “It is certainly true that the United States needs to build its credibility domestically if it wants to be the moral leader of democracy abroad,” Bremmer said. But, he added, “Let’s not pretend there is a moral equivalency, which is what the Chinese and Russians are trying to claim.”

That's right.  Precisely, what Biden and Democrats need to stress and champion.

“As bad as it has been in the United States, and it has been bad in the United States — a lot of Republicans don’t believe in representative democracy at this point — the United States remains not remotely comparable to Russia as a system or China as a system,” Bremmer said. In his own news conference after Putin’s, Biden dismissed the Russian leader’s equation of Russian pro-democracy protesters with Americans who stormed the Capitol to overturn an election, calling it “a ridiculous comparison.” Behind Biden’s derision lay broader questions about the durability of slow, messy, elected governance in the face of speedy if imperfect solutions offered by China, Russia and other autocratic powers. The G-7 vaccination announcement was in part an effort to respond to such questions. Biden himself alluded to the quandary at his first stop in Europe, a slickly produced, Stars-and-Stripes extravaganza at a British military base that houses an American air wing. “How we act, and whether we pull together as democracies, is going to determine whether our grandkids look back 15 years from now and say, ‘Did they step up? Are democracies as relevant and as powerful as they have been?’ ” Biden said. It’s not a new theme for Biden, whose foreign policy views were formed by the post-World War II vision of an American-led alliance of democracies against communism. That vision often fell short, as when the United States embraced brutal regimes if they opposed the Soviet Union. Biden, too, has been criticized for being overly tolerant of authoritarians like Egypt’s Abdel Fatah al-Sissi when he needed their help."

Precisely, what led to the migrant problem at our southern border over the last several decades as our government supported right wing nazi regimes in Central and South America.

"Still, promoting democratic values has in some ways become an organizing message for Biden’s presidency. “I predict to you, your children or grandchildren are going to be doing their doctoral theses on the issue of who succeeded: autocracy or democracy?” Biden said during his first official news conference in March. “Because that is what is at stake.” A month later, addressing a joint session of Congress in April, Biden again returned to the idea, urging Americans to show the world that democracy is still the best form of government. “Can our democracy deliver the most — to the most pressing needs of our people? Can our democracy overcome the lies, anger, hate and fears that have pulled us apart?” Biden said. “America’s adversaries — the autocrats of the world — are betting we can’t.” Upon returning home this week, Biden’s team was quick to declare the trip a success — not just for the president, but for democracy writ large. “The bottom line is that Joe Biden confidently and skillfully donned the mantle of leader of the free world on this trip,” national security adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters. “The previous president had ceded that mantle, and this president has now emphatically reclaimed it.”

Think so?

"Around the same time, Trump, who continues to claim aggressively that the election was stolen from him, signaled plans for big rallies in coming weeks."

Why hasn't this nazi traitor been prosecuted for instigating the January 6, 2021 insurrection?

Amazing how the same mistakes continue to be made decade after decade.  In an editorial, Karen Tumulty of The Washington Post opines:

"In September 1960, Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kennedy, against the advice of his political consultants, confronted anti-Catholic bigotry head-on in an extraordinary speech before a hostile audience of several hundred Protestant ministers in Houston. This was days after another group of Protestant clergy, representing 37 denominations and presided over by Norman Vincent Peale, had declared that a Roman Catholic president would be “under extreme pressure by the hierarchy of his church.” Kennedy vowed that, if elected, the oath that he would follow was the one he took upon his inauguration to defend the U.S. Constitution."

Properly, so.

"At a time when some equated Catholic teachings to socialism, the Massachusetts senator said: “I believe in an America that is officially neither Catholic, Protestant nor Jewish; where no public official either requests or accepts instructions on public policy from the Pope, the National Council of Churches or any other ecclesiastical source; where no religious body seeks to impose its will directly or indirectly upon the general populace or the public acts of its officials.”

Where did we lose ourselves?  Kennedy got it right.  Republican fascists under their fuhrer, the Trump nazi, have taken it to the opposite extreme.  Fascinating, isn't it?  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"Kennedy’s strong stance on the separation of church and state helped secure the narrow victory that made him the first Catholic president in U.S. history."

Quite true.  Yet, today we have Republican national socialists doing all they can to impose Christianity as the religion of the state in direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is, freedom from religion.  Quite a turn of events.  Especially, in light of the following:

"A little more than 60 years later, a second Catholic president sits in the White House, and the church’s American bishops appear to have forgotten what it took for one of their own to get there. On Friday, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops — defying a warning from the Vatican — voted to create guidelines for receiving the sacrament of Holy Communion. After Catholic bishops on June 18 voted to create guidelines that might bar him from the Eucharist, President Biden suggested it would not be implemented. (The Washington Post) What is driving the move is a push by conservative bishops to declare that President Biden, who rarely misses Mass and is arguably the most religiously observant president since Jimmy Carter, should not be allowed to receive the Eucharist. It is also a reaction to the relatively liberal Pope Francis, who espouses a vision of making the church more inclusive."

Readers are reminded the Pope is a Jesuit.  Jesuits are the scholars of the church.  Takes 15 years of study to become a Jesuit.

Interestingly:

"JFK, of course, never had to deal with many of the social issues that roil politics today, which include not only abortion but gay rights, gender identity and bioethics. But the fact is, abortion rights are now the law of the land, deemed constitutional under a landmark 1973 U.S. Supreme Court opinion and consistently supported since then by a majority of the American public, albeit with restrictions."

Clearly, matters not to the current 6-3 outrageously fascist Republican majority on the U.S. Supreme Court.

The following is also quite true:

"Biden is far from the first Catholic politician to in fact come “under extreme pressure by the hierarchy of his church” over their support of the law when it comes to abortion rights. In 1984, New York Archbishop John J. O’Connor castigated then-Gov. Mario Cuomo (D) and Democratic vice-presidential nominee Geraldine Ferraro over their support for legal abortion. O’Connor would also warn Catholic politicians who supported abortion rights that they could face excommunication from the church. When Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry, also a Catholic, was campaigning in Missouri in 2004, St. Louis Archbishop Raymond Burke publicly warned him “not to present himself for Communion” — a punishment that Canon Law 915 reserves for “those who obstinately persist in manifest grave sin.”

Aryan arrogance at its very worst courtesy of a clearly hypocritical church hierarchy:

"But if Catholic clergy are going to draw such lines around the issue of abortion, why not punish politicians who disregard other pro-life social teachings of the church, including its opposition to the death penalty, which Francis has called “inadmissible”? Or its support for freer immigration and generous social services for migrants? Or helping those who are poor? Or its decree that addressing climate change is a grave and urgent moral imperative?"

How about that?  Spot on, isn't she?  Equally to the point:

"Catholics — and I am one — should be leery of those in the clergy who treat the Communion wafer as some kind of merit badge, rather than the spiritual sustenance that we were taught to believe it is. Francis himself said this month that Communion “is not the reward of saints, no, it is the bread of sinners. This is why [Jesus] exhorts us: ‘Do not be afraid! Take and eat.’” They should also be suspicious of the political timing of this debate. The power to decree who is and isn’t eligible to receive Communion rests with the local bishop in each diocese, or the pope. But if the 400-plus active and retired bishops who constitute the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops vote at their next meeting in November to declare that supporters of abortion rights should be denied Communion, their statement will no doubt become a cudgel against some Catholic politicians, mostly Democrats, in the elections of 2022 and beyond. And it will mean that the doubts that JFK sought to put to rest will be justified."

Point well-made, Ms. Tumulty.  Sadly, we've moved backwards last six decades as our formerly great country continued to nazify.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

The following is a bit of desperately needed comic relief.  NPR reports:

"On July 20, Amazon's founder and billionaire magnate Jeff Bezos and his brother Mark will board the New Shepard suborbital rocket system. The Bezos brothers, one auction winner with $28 million to spare, and a fourth person will become the first crew aboard the reusable rocket for its 11-minute voyage to space. Since Bezos made the announcement about his journey to space this month, tens of thousands of people have come together to petition against his return to the planet."

LOL.

"There are multiple petitions out there, but the front-runner, "Do not allow Jeff Bezos to return to Earth," had collected more than 33,000 signatures by late Sunday. "Billionaires should not exist," the description read. "On Earth, or in space, but should they decide the latter they should stay there."

LOL.

"Bezos is the founder of the space exploration company Blue Origin, which built New Shepard. The rocket is reusable and has capacity for six passengers in its capsule.

"The auction for the very first seat on #NewShepard has concluded with a winning bid of $28 million. The winning bid amount will be donated to Blue Origin’s foundation, @ClubforFuture. Full replay of the auction webcast: https://t.co/5Vc8IvWxJR pic.twitter.com/IlGbgOFmhx
    — Blue Origin (@blueorigin) June 12, 2021

"If you see the Earth from space, it changes you. It changes your relationship with this planet, with humanity. It's one Earth," Bezos said in a video posted to Instagram."

How about solving some of the problems created by bottomless greed right here on earth, Mr. Bezos?

"Bezos isn't the only billionaire with his sights set on out-of-this-world endeavors. Elon Musk is the founder of SpaceX, which has racked up a number of firsts for private spaceflight, including being the first private company to transport astronauts to the International Space Station last year. The company's website advertises trips to space for paying customers. Musk has not announced any immediate space travel plans. But a Japanese billionaire, Yusaku Maezawa, booked a trip with SpaceX to travel around the moon in 2023. Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, also has a space program — Virgin Galactic, which has a reusable spacecraft intended for commercial space travel. Branson plans to be on one of Virgin Galactic's upcoming flights."

-- While the rest of the world community, including the bottom and middle class right here in the United States, continues to deal with all the problems courtesy of unbridled greed.

First Amendment Freedom of Speech upheld by U.S. Supreme Court.  In a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, United Press International reports:

"In a key freedom of speech case, the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled in favor of a former Pennsylvania cheerleader who sued her high school when she lost her spot on the squad over an obscene social media post. In the 8-1 ruling, the high court decided that Mahanoy Area High School was wrong when it suspended Brandi Levy over the social post. Levy was 14 at the time and made the post, while off-campus, in a fit of anger over not making the school's varsity cheer squad. After Levy made the post, as a freshman in 2017, Mahanoy coaches decided that she'd broken team rules that required her to show respect for others. Wednesday, the Supreme Court ruled the school's actions to suspend her from the junior varsity team for a year violated Levy's First Amendment rights. The justices considered whether a 1969 decision that allowed public schools to regulate certain speech applied to this case, since Levy's post occurred away from the school. "Off-campus speech will normally fall within the zone of parental, rather than school-related responsibility," Justice Stephen Breyer wrote for the majority."

You think?

"From the student speaker's perspective, regulations of off-campus speech, when coupled with regulations of on-campus speech, include all the speech a student utters during the full 24-hour day," he added. "That means courts must be more skeptical of a school's efforts to regulate off-campus speech, for doing so may mean the student cannot engage in that kind of speech at all. "When it comes to political or religious speech that occurs outside school or a school program or activity, the school will have a heavy burden to justify intervention." The court also called public schools in the United States "nurseries of democracy." Another point made by the high court ruling is that Levy's post didn't identify the school or target anyone with vulgar language and was only circulated among Levy's social followers. The lone dissenting justice was Clarence Thomas."

Surprised?

"Using broad brushstrokes, the majority outlines the scope of school authority. When students are on campus, the majority says, schools have authority in loco parentis -- that is, as substitutes of parents -- to discipline speech and conduct," he wrote. "Off campus, the authority of schools is somewhat less. At that level of generality, I agree. But the majority omits important detail. What authority does a school have when it operates in loco parentis? How much less authority do schools have over off-campus speech and conduct? And how does a court decide if speech is on or off campus?" Lower appellate courts sided with Levy, which led to her reinstatement on the Mahanoy cheer team. The school district appealed those rulings to the Supreme Court."

NPR reports:

"The U.S. Supreme Court sided with students on Wednesday, ruling that a former cheerleader's online F-bombs about her school is protected speech under the First Amendment. By an 8-1 vote, the court declared that school administrators do have the power to punish student speech that occurs online or off campus if it genuinely disrupts classroom study. But the justices concluded that a few swear words posted online from off campus, as in this case, did not rise to the definition of disruptive."

How about that?  LOL.

"While public schools may have a special interest in regulating some off-campus student speech, the special interests offered by the school are not sufficient to overcome B. L.'s interest in free expression in this case," Justice Stephen Breyer wrote for the court's majority."

How about that?  LOL.

"At issue in the case was a series of F-bombs issued in 2017 on Snapchat by Brandi Levy, then a 14-year-old high school cheerleader who failed to win a promotion from the junior varsity to the varsity cheerleading term at her Pennsylvania school. "I was really upset and frustrated at everything," she said in an interview with NPR in April. So she posted a photo of herself and a friend flipping the bird to the camera, along with a message that said, "F*** the school ... F*** cheer, F*** everything."

No shit.  LOL.

"Suspended from the team for what was considered disruptive behavior, Brandi and her parents went to court. They argued that the school had no right to punish her for off-campus speech, whether it was posted online while away from school, as in this case, or spoken out loud at a Starbucks across the street from school. A federal appeals court agreed with her, declaring that school officials have no authority to punish students for speech that occurs in places unconnected to the campus. The decision marked the first time that an appeals court issued such a broad interpretation of the Supreme Court's landmark student speech decision more then a half century ago. Back then, in a case involving students suspended for wearing black armbands to school to protest the Vietnam War, the court ruled that students do have free speech rights under the Constitution, as long as the speech is not disruptive to the school."

That's right.  No question.

"Although Brandi Levy is now in college, the school board in Mahanoy, Pa., appealed to the Supreme Court, contending that disruption can come from outside the campus but still have serious effects on campus. It pointed to laws in 47 states that require schools to enforce anti-bullying and anti-harassment policies. The high court, however, focused on the facts in Levy's case, concluding that while her posts were less than admirable, they did not meet the test of being disruptive. "We do not believe the special characteristics that give schools additional license to regulate student speech always disappear when a school regulates speech that takes place off campus," Breyer wrote. "The school's regulatory interests remain significant in some off-campus circumstances." In a concurring opinion, Justice Samuel Alito wrote: "If today's decision teaches any lesson, it must be that the regulation of many types of off-premises student speech raises serious First Amendment concerns, and school officials should proceed cautiously before venturing into this territory."

Amazing, coming from Alito, isn't it?  LOL.

Not surprisingly:

"In a dissent, Justice Clarence Thomas wrote that the school was right to suspend Levy because students like her "who are active in extracurricular programs have a greater potential, by virtue of their participation, to harm those programs." "For example, a profanity-laced screed delivered on social media or at the mall has a much different effect on a football program when done by a regular student than when done by the captain of the football team," Thomas wrote. "So, too, here."

Think so?

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor?  Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
