Getting online has gotten increasingly difficult and expensive last four months.  Worse, access is outside since most establishments are closed or limited to drive-thru operations.  Lap tops are not designed to be used in such an environment.  Extremely difficult to see the screen.  Time for the readership to step up and provide assistance.  TC 7-24-20

In response to the pandemic, government quickly imposed draconian restrictions making access to public wifi exceptionally difficult.  Consequently, editions of this publication will be briefer and posted as regularly as possible until circumstances change.  TC 3-20-20

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable.  Time to step up.  Now.

Brother dearest.  ... Been awhile, hasn't it, Bro?  A little antsy?  Wondering when the next shoe is about to fall, that is, when you'll be fully exposed for the thieving son of a bitch you truly are?  Patience.  All in good time, good buddy.  When I'm damned good and ready.  Timing just right.  After all, a son of a bitch who's stolen his father's estate needs to be fully exposed publicly for whom and what he is, don't you think?  Indeed, a public service for your neighbors, professional associates, family, and friends, etc..

Conveniently, forget?  Others need to protect themselves against a fraud who masquerades as both a teacher and a counselor, no?  -- How the hell did you ever pass an MMPI some forty years ago to get hired?  You're not stable.  Have not been.  ... Must have really been pissed off at the old man to rip off an estate, no?  How much did you steal while he was alive and supposedly under your care?

How much did you bribe law enforcement to ignore a complaint I filed with them years before the old man died?  How much did you bribe the prosecutor to ignore a complaint filed with her several years ago?  How much?  Use the old man's money to bribe the bitch?  Her cohorts?  Your law enforcement shysters?  While there may indeed be no justice from a corrupt system, fortunately, I do have a way to publicly expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.

... Unlike our grandmother who scrubbed floors on her hands and knees during the Depression for peanuts, only to have what little she had stolen by her son, our uncle, another goddamned thieving son of a bitch just like you.  Remember how, surprise, surprise, there was no life insurance when our grandfather died?  Despite the fact our grandmother gave her thieving bastard son premium money year after goddamned year?  Only, as the thieving son of a bitch he truly was, to have pocketed it.  Again, just like you.

Remember when he booted her out of the house she had bought him when he had had enough of her?  -- Despite the fact he had lied and promised she could stay the rest of her life?  She had to climb two flights of stairs on an ulcerated leg to get to a bathroom he had never built for her at ground level as falsely promised.   Nothing ever happened to the thieving son of a bitch as far as justice was concerned.  Worse, he was never exposed publicly for the thieving son of a bitch he truly was.

Will be different for you, Bro.  While you've bought off authorities, you will be publicly exposed.  In great detail.  In good time.  When I'm damned good and ready.  When exposure will do the maximum figurative damage to your goddamned sordid reputation.  -- Just the truth, brother dearest, however.  Just the truth.

Irony of ironies?  When the thieving son of a bitch died, and our mother was finally informed he had passed, she cried for her brother, -- the bastard thief who stole from her mother.  Sad, isn't it?  Too bad she's not still alive to see you publicly exposed for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you, yourself, truly are.  As was he.  Not in a court of law you've bought off, however.  Right here.

In good time.  Again, when I'm damned good and ready.  Employing the very same tactics used against Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo.  -- On steroids, however, since all dirty family laundry will be aired.  All of it.  No threat.  A promise.  Emails sent to your neighbors, friends, professional associates, businesses you deal with.  Although an enormous amount of work, all doable courtesy of the Internet.  Despite being some 1,800 miles away.  -- Small world, isn't it, Bro?  Enjoy the stolen loot, you son of a bitch.  Forget?  It's all you have.

Brother dearest.  Save all the check stubs from the old man's accounts?  Fraudulently sign any of them yourself?  Think this material couldn't be obtained from the banks either through discovery or a criminal investigation?  Still own the house on Condict Rd.?   Any other properties besides this one and the old man's you stole with the help of your shyster bastard? Be interesting to see how far your assets extend and where.  Think all that information isn't accessible?  That I won't determinedly obtain it?

That not only an extensive Internet search will be conducted that will likely take months to complete?  But an extensive background check as well?  Think the Catholic high school you attended shouldn't be informed of the thievery of one of its graduates?  Think the clerics there would be appalled at their failure to teach you right from wrong?  How about both universities?  Think neighbors in the old man's neighborhood won't be informed of your deception?  Think they don't have a right to know?

Ever follow the advice of Dr. Bert Wiser, psychological statistics professor at MSU?  That is, get treatment for your achingly debilitating instability?  Is that why you wound up looting the old man?  Or, is it simply a convenient excuse you'll use to defend the indefensible?  Think this will end any time soon?  That is, public exposure of you as a thieving son of a bitch?  We're just getting started, Bro.  Just getting started.

Don't like it?  Tough shit.  Sue me you thieving son of a bitch.  Would use discovery to learn and post on this website all there is to know about you, your activities, predilections, business 'deals,' as well as all your financial transactions, etc..  All of it.  Would certainly avoid the expense of an extensive background check on you, thieving brother dearest.

Even if you were successful in court, there is nothing for you to take, this remains, as well, a homesteading state where minimal assets are protected anyway.  This site is hosted in an overseas country that doesn't particularly like government intrusion, remains not prone to cooperate.  Besides, can always upload to another webhost in still yet another country.  The possibilities are endless, Bro.  Just takes willingness, effort, unshakable determination.

Even if I lost it all would be more than worth it to expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.  Even if you bribed a goddamned nazi 'judge' to remove posted material, would not cooperate and be more than willing to rot in jail.  Would certainly keep reposting it all no matter the cost and/or personal consequences every time it was taken down.  Forget, you thieving son of a bitch?  I never ever give up.

Since all I seek is your exposure for the thief you truly are, would all be worth it.  For the sake of principle.  All the work, financial cost, as well as the time I am about to dedicate to this effort, you deceptive, unstable, sick, thieving son of a bitch.  Unlike you, I live on principle and have absolutely nothing to lose.  You do.  Will certainly take great pleasure and satisfaction in doing all I can to publicly expose you for whom and what you are.

To say nothing of placing enormous pressure on prosecutors you and your equally corrupt shyster son of a bitch apparently bribed.  Don't like it?  Again, tough shit. Chew harder.  The public needs to know to protect itself.  From you and your shyster bastard.  People who live and travel in your circles as well.  Including his.  As a thief, you and he can't be trusted by anyone.  You'll determinedly f--k them.

More than willing to provide this truly public service.  People certainly need to know whom and what you are.  What you have sadly become.  You certainly weren't brought up to be a thieving son of a bitch.  What happened?  Where did you lose yourself, Bro?  -- Never mind.  ... Truly doesn't matter.  Only your exposure.

TC 4-22-16

Hey, Bro?  Remember me?  How soon they conveniently forget.  ... Half asleep? -- Out to lunch?  ... In your own perverse little world?  That of a criminal?  Wake up.  Conveniently, gutlessly forget?  Insanely believe you're someway, somehow off the hook?  Think again.  We're not done.  You remain a thief who will be exposed for whom and what your are.  What you certainly have become.  No question about that.  Patience, you thieving son of a bitch.  Exposure is coming.  Promise.

Think I don't have time?  Truly believe the ongoing Presidential fiasco ends no matter who wins?  The murderous decay in law enforcement gets resolved any time soon?  Criminal Wells Fargo employees from local Kingsland bank manager Amanda S. Wright right up to and including CEO John Stumpf get prosecuted in the near future despite egregious criminal activity?  Wouldn't hold my breath, would you?

Think I don't have time to handle all this and your public exposure for the estate-stealing criminal son of a bitch you've truly become?  How could you steal from the old bastard, you incredibly sad sack of shit?  Certainly weren't brought up to be a thief.  What happened to you?  Where'd you lose yourself?

No question, 2017 will be a most remarkable, defining year for you, Bro.  Public exposure for the thieving piece of shit you've sadly become.  It's on the way. Promise.  Hope you sue.  Nothing for you to take.  Tough, isn't it?  Certainly, makes me judgment proof.  Will certainly, as well, take advantage of discovery.  Publish every detail I can get my hands on.  No matter the consequences.  Only consideration?  Prime directive?  Your exposure for whom and what you are.

Readers?  This not-so-brotherly piece of shit stole from our father.  Manipulated the old man to line his pockets.  Just like our uncle on my mother's side of the family did to my grandmother.  Runs in the family.  Our family.   ... Right, Bro?  This game now gets played my way, -- not yours, you son of a bitch.  That is, no more U.S. Mail tag.

Anything sent by mail will be refused, returned unopened.  Want contact?  Email.  libertyinperil@riseup.net.  Quick.  Easy.  Better yet?  A digital record.  Permanent.  Easily accessible.  Easily uploaded to this site when and if it becomes necessary.  The shyster bastard you hired to steal the estate shouldn't expect escape, either, from public exposure as the thieving piece of shit he, like you, truly both are.  Unscrupulous thieves.

Sincerely hope that piece of crap sues as well.  Nothing to take.  Discovery again would be published no matter the personal cost.  Nothing quite like public exposure, is there?  Especially, when it is nothing but the truth and there is absolutely nothing to lose exposing two pieces of criminal shit for whom and what they are.  Two pieces of gutless human excrement who looted an old man.  ... Right, Bro?

There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers.  Glaring sunlight.  Dazzling brilliance.  Amazing how the roaches run for cover.  Equally pointedly, how vermin on two legs manage to so easily prey on the elderly courtesy of the out of control fascist police-state we now live in.  While there'll never be any justice vis a vis this theft, there will be exposure to the brilliant light of day for both criminal perpetrators.  Count on it, you not-so-brotherly criminal son of a bitch.

TC 10-7-16

Hey, Bro?  Hear of Old Sturbridge Village?  Haven't?  ... Not lying, are you, you thieving son of a bitch?  You and your long-term companion EC conspire, bequeath some of the old man's loot to this museum?  An achingly stingy gift of $250-$499, -- considering the size of the estate?  The CEO and Board have any idea you stole it?  Think they'd care?  -- Just getting started, dearest, dearest Bro.  ... Delusionally believe I haven't more than enough time, resources, determination to expose you for the thieving piece of crap you truly are?  ... Under $500 back in 2013?  Remarkably parsimonious with stolen money aren't you?   What does it feel like to have gutlessly ripped off an incompetent old man?  -- Dear old Dad.  Certainly, look forward to digging much deeper into how you and your shyster lawyer managed to bamboozle and loot the old bastard.  Back in the day, certainly wouldn't have fallen for your bullshit.  Would have kicked your worthless, thieving ass out the door.  Intend to expose it to the light of day.  Indeed, a public service. Seatbelts on, you thieving son of a bitch. Tally ho!

TC 3-24-17

... Brief aside, dear readers, for a most exceptional reason.  -- Although infrequent, pressing ongoing personal business must come first on rare occasion.  Hope you agree, moreover, find it entertaining, -- as this writer did crafting what follows.  Principle trumps all.  Remains prime mover, prime directive no matter what.

This pressing issue involves a family thief. A heartless predator preying on the elderly who must be held accountable, exposed to the light of day.  Especially, since authorities failed to do their job.  The following is part of that continuing effort to expose this piece of shit for whom and what he is:

Hey, Bro?  Guess what?  Me, again.  Most determined pain in the ass.  Miss me?  An inconvenient, nagging hemorrhoid that simply won't go away no matter what.  -- A pile with a smile that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

... Delusionally think this most persistent nemesis of yours conveniently disappeared to parts unknown, vanished in thin air? To give a turd a break?  Wake up.  Not a chance, you thieving son of a bitch.  ... When you insanely believe this writer's gone and you're finally in the clear, guess what, here I am, right in your face.

Despite what's going on across our formerly great country, always have more than enough time for personal business.  That is, exposing you, Bro, to the glaring light of day.  A pathetically greedy predator.  Your target, who else, the elderly.  Most defenseless, vulnerable, an easy fleece.  -- Thought you'd steal from the surly old curmudgeon with impunity, no consequences?

Successfully escape accountability? Avoid detection, all responsibility?  Blatant theft of an old man's estate?  A little help from a bought and paid for hopelessly greedy unprincipled shyster?  Supposed cake walk due to 1800 miles separation?  No one to hold you accountable?  Your feet to the fire?  What could you possibly been thinking?

You've read this publication before.  Know precisely who and what I am, what I do.  Never give up.  Never say die.  Ignore all obstacles.  Know full well Liberty In Peril modus operandi remains as relentlessly ferocious, blindingly intense as ever.

No punches pulled.  No slack.  No personal consideration.  Certainly, not for a gutless son of a bitch, no more than a thieving predator.  Looted target, guess who, dear old dad.  Pitiful.  Delusionally believe you had the booty coming?  An entitlement?  For having had to put up with his shit all those years?  Wake up.

Hear of Historic Deerfield?  Of course, you have, you lying son of a bitch.  Forget?  You're one of their not-so-generous 'benefactors.'  ... With all the money stolen from our father's estate, only bequeath them a piss poor $40 bucks?

Unbelievable.  An achingly tight, cheap, thieving, worthless piece of duplicitous crap.  ... Write-off?  Negligible.  ... Feather  in the cap?  How?  Delusionally believe your treachery would never see the light of day?  What planet do you live on?

Board of Trustees Chair Anne K. Groves know full well you looted the estate?  How about President Philip Zea?  Think both don't have a right to know?  How about Anne Lanning, Vice President For Museum Affairs?  To say nothing of Susan Martinelli, Vice President For Business Affairs?

These officials are entitled to know precisely whom they're doing business with.  A thief.  Gutless phony.  Blow-hard fraud.  Hoity-toity dandy.  Worse?  An unprincipled thief who stole from his father.  ... Glaring light of day sucks, doesn't it, Bro?  No escaping the unvarnished truth, this most bitter reality.  Not a chance.

Saddest of all?  Back in the day, Hell would have frozen over before anyone would have have been able to rip off the craggy old bastard.  Remember quite well how intent, determined he was not to be fleeced late in life by a sick son of a bitch like you.

A leech.  Ironic, isn't it?  Gutless rip off of an old man who couldn't adequately handle his affairs any longer.  How do you sleep nights?

Fraud runs in the family, clearly.  History repeating itself.  Right in the footsteps of our grandmother's son, who callously ripped off his mother decades ago.  Again, another achingly pathetic piece of human excrement.  Just like you.  Intend to lay it bare.  Methodically.  Painstakingly. In great detail.  Living, breathing color.

For all to see.  A public service.  Exposure of the criminal piece of human excrement you truly are.  For sustained public review.  A goddamned thief.  Pissed? Chagrined?  Nonplused?  Tough shit.  Sue.  Would certainly immediately post all discovery no matter the consequences.

All snail mail will be returned unopened.  No phone tag.  Got something to say? Email.  Say it right here.  On this website.  In public.  For the world to see.  Will be posted in its entirety.  No editing.  Unlike you, this writer doesn't lie, cheat, steal.  Honors his word.  Intend to expose you precisely for whom and what you are.

Duplicitous predator who preyed on his own father.  Blinding exposure to benefit the community.  Have nothing to lose providing this public service, but you do.  No better disinfectant than sunshine.

.. Think the old bastard not spinning in his grave?  -- Old lady not doing the same?  One thing for certain.  Neither brought you up to be a goddamned thief.  Yet, here we are.  ... Until next time, Tally Ho!

5-25-18

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Tim Chorney, Publisher
Liberty In Peril

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Two hundred sixty seven weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Two hundred sixty seven weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Two hundred sixty seven weeks.   Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded.  An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

7-3-20

Last three months been getting online at the Kingsland HEB.  Met quite a few readers at the picnic table.  -- People I didn't personally know, but who came up and introduced themselves.  Certainly, grateful for your concern, caring, and moral support.  One of the Front End managers, Kevin, had granted permission to plug in and access HEB Customer wifi at the picnic table some three months ago.  Someone in County government must have subsequently complained. Three months after the fact.  LOL.  Finally got the boot 6-27-20 from the achingly gutless Store Manager who couldn't, or wouldn't stand up to pressure from this asshole.

Pathetic, isn't it?  LOL.  Certainly, knew it was coming.  Hard to believe it took three months.  LOL.  Apparently, the gutless Store Manager, Monty, sent out the second in command, Dan, to deliver the happy news.  Spoke to him awhile, but sadly as expected, he had nothing substantive to say.  Other than, "leave."  LOL.  Advised him to send out the clearly reluctant Store Manager who apparently wanted to avoid the encounter.  Finally, came out.  Imagine that.

Asked the Store Manager, Monty Young, for a business card.  Remarkably, he had none.  Couldn't be, could it?  LOL.  An HEB Store Manager with no business card?  How is that possible?  Unlimited corporate greed?  Aryan arrogance of a privately-owned corporation?  Or, was he simply lying?  Informed him he'd indeed be front and center in this next edition.

Before getting into specific detail vis a vis my conversation with the Store Manager, it must be stated staff at the Kingsland HEB is second to none.  Have known many of them for years.  Work extremely well together as a team.  Certainly, exceptionally customer-friendly.  The problem with this store is not staff.  Not even the Store Manager and Assistant Manager per se, -- who apparently, despite their denials, had been pressured by someone.  It's the HEB corporate management suite at the root of most of the problems at this store.

The following salient issues were discussed with the Store Manager before I left.  -- Interestingly, none of which he denied.  LOL.  Readers, have you noticed cheaper generic products are either continually out of stock or discontinued?  Especially, after the store changed its product line weeks before the pandemic.  Apparently, in an effort to emulate the Marble Falls store that caters to the Horseshoe Bay elite.

New larger shopping carts were brought in to the Kingsland store so shoppers would supposedly buy more product, increase store sales.  Shelves are restocked 24 hrs.  Staff was unhappy because aisles are too narrow for the larger carts.  Makes it harder to stock shelves when the store is open.  Not only that, makes it much more difficult for shoppers to navigate the narrow aisles.

Product pricing has steeply increased.  They accomplish this both by directly raising prices, as well as in engaging in deception, that is, downsizing product.  One recent glaring example is their generic bleach.  For awhile, it was unavailable, out of stock.  Then, it was downsized from three quarts to two.  Price remained at $1.  A 33% increase.  Done deceptively.  At a time when inflation is supposedly non-existent.  What ever happened to the HCF quart and a half ice cream that sold for $1.99?  Long since gone.  Both aforementioned products had already been downsized once before.  LOL.  List can go on and on.  Unbridled corporate greed.

As I reminded the Store Manager, Kingsland residents, for the most part, are poor, young, elderly, and/or disabled, etc.  This store now caters to the rich who live on the lake and Sunrise Beach.  Not sustainable.  ... Especially, if the shit finally hits the fan vis a vis the Trump nazi, and/or a second shutdown occurs courtesy of the raging, poorly-handled, achingly mismanaged pandemic.

To store employees, all of whom I admire, consider personal friends, courageously provide your ongoing grievances to this publication.  I will publish them while protecting your identity.  If you won't stand up, nothing changes.

As I informed the Store Manager, the problem in Kingsland is the fact HEB has no substantive competition.  What is desperately needed is a Walmart or other major corporation to rattle the cage of local HEB management as well as the corporate management suite.  Until that occurs, nothing changes, shit happens.  ... Right, Monty?  Dan?

In the last two and a half weeks or so, three middle-aged women tripped and fell on the curb by the picnic table.  Third time, 6-26-20.  Took the Store Manager and Assistant Manager quite some time to exit the store and arrive with ice to quell the swelling of the woman who had fallen hard on her face.  I subsequently asked Monty to consider painting the curb iridescent red or orange to avoid injury and a future lawsuit.

Responded couldn't be painted red since it wasn't a fire zone.  Could certainly be painted orange or some other bright color.  If management doesn't care about a lawsuit, where is its concern for the pain and suffering if a customer trips, falls, and suffers serious injury?  ... Couldn't care less, Monty?  -- Or, is it, shortsightedly, insurance will indeed take care of it?  Wake up.  Just a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured and sues the living shit out of HEB.  Even if HEB prevails in court, it loses.  Consider the cost of bad publicity.

To the credit of management, both the Store Manager and Assistant Manager return carts to the front of the store, sanitize them, and pick up trash.  Recently, associates informed me the Store Manager wasn't happy about the performance of the Assistant Store Manager.  LOL.  Apparently, ole' Dan got too good at hiding in the store, shirking cart and other duties, etc.  LOL.  That's apparently changed.  ... Trouble in paradise, boys?  LOL.  Itching to retire, Dan?  LOL.  Give me a break.  Never a dull moment, -- at customer and staff expense.

Finally, to the motherf--ker in County government who likely complained, don't flatter yourself.  Three months?  What took so long you gutless piece of shit?  LOL.  No matter what, Liberty In Peril will remain up and running.  Despite the fact it's been more than 21 years, just the very beginning.  Far more to come.  Far more County corruption, malfeasance, criminal activity to be followed up, and/or exposed.  LOL.  ... Bribed by Johnny Greene, Madam County Attorney?

Readers are advised there is a sticker on the back of the power supply stating:  "Please remove this sticker."  It cannot be easily removed.  Will not peel off.  Have hesitated to scrape it off since doing so might obliterate anything underneath it, -- if anything.  It is not covering a vent and there is no technical reason that it be removed.  Certainly, did not affect operation of the supply for the last year and four months I've had the machine.

Uncommon Valor.  Seatbelts on.  Heartrending, truly rough stuff.  ... When America was young, strong, brave, and free.  CBS News reports:

"Hershel "Woody" Williams is literally one-of-a-kind. At the age of 97 he is the last living recipient of the Medal of Honor from World War II. But it's the way he's lived all those years since that really sets him apart. "I felt that I owed back more than I could ever possibly give," he told CBS News national security correspondent David Martin. He grew up on a farm in West Virginia during the Great Depression. "There were 11 born to my family," he said. "Only five of us survived to adulthood." After Pearl Harbor, he tried to enlist in the Marines, but was rejected as too short. When the Marines started taking horrendous casualties fighting the Japanese across the Pacific, the height limit was eased – and he ended up a Marine."

'Horrendous casualties,' quite an understatement.  The losses were hellacious.

"Martin asked, "What was your first taste of combat like?" "Exceedingly scary," he replied."

Again, quite an understatement.  Yet, these young men fought back like hell.

"In February 1945, a massive invasion fleet gathered off the Japanese-held island of Iwo Jima. "We didn't know that they had 22,000 Japanese on the island; we didn't know that they had miles of tunnel dug out in a volcano," Williams said. The Japanese held their fire until after the Marines had landed, and then turned the beach into a slaughterhouse: "The beach was just full of everything you can think of -- trucks and tanks just blown up." More than 6,000 Marines would die. Williams said, "Just stacked them up, yeah, like cord wood."

Likely, the most iconic photo of the Second World War:

"Finally, Marines made it to the top of Mount Suribachi for the most famous flag raising in American history. Martin asked, "Did you know the flag had gone up?" "No, I did not," Williams said. "I think I had my head buried in the sand." The flag was up, but the battle for Iwo Jima was far from over: "There was no protection. We would run from shell crater to shell crater, if we could find one, and finally we hit this long line of pillboxes, reinforced concrete pillboxes." Japanese machine guns inside the pillboxes cut down the advancing Marines, until Williams' commander turned to him: "He said, 'Do you think you could do something with the flamethrower?'" "What were you supposed to do with the flamethrower?" Martin asked. "Put flame in the pillbox. so that you would annihilate everybody within that pillbox." With covering fire from four riflemen, Williams crawled toward the first pillbox with Japanese bullets ricocheting off his flamethrower. "I look up on top of this pillbox and I see a little bit of blue smoke rolling out of the top of it,' Williams said. "So, I crawled up ... got up on top of that pillbox, and here's a pipe that is just about the same size as my flamethrower nozzle, so I just stuck it down and let it go. That was my first pillbox." Williams is credited with taking out seven pillboxes in the course of four hours."

Can still remember my mother telling me as a kid how they would wildly cheer during newsreels as Japanese soldiers exited the pillboxes and caves on fire screaming.  Having had years to think about it, added:  "What were we cheering?"  Yet, it was absolutely necessary to defeat the enemy.  Also, Marines got horribly immolated, killed with flamethrowers on their backs when the gasoline tank got hit with gunfire.

"That was February 1945.  When Japan surrendered in September of that year, Williams was on Guam killing time when he suddenly received a summons: "'You're gonna go see the general.' And I said, 'What for?'" "Can't be good news!" said Martin. "That's what I thought!" Williams laughed. "I'm scared to death, but I'm following orders, you know, so I walk into the tent, walk up to his desk. And he said, 'You're being ordered back to Washington.' I'd never heard of the Medal of Honor. I didn't know such a thing existed." The boy from quiet Dell, West Virginia found himself at the White House being presented the Medal of Honor by President Truman. "I never even dreamed of being able to see a President of the United States, and I'm standing shaking hands with him. Now, you talk about a scared moment! I was a wreck, I really was!" He got over the nerves, but never the responsibility that comes with the medal, especially when he learned that Corporal Warren Bornholz and Private First Class Charles Fischer, two of the riflemen who had provided covering fire during those four hours of flaming hell, had been killed. "Once I learned that, my whole concept of the medal changed. I said, 'This medal does not belong to me; it belongs to them.' So, I wear it in their honor, not mine. They sacrificed their lives to make that possible." Williams learned what that sacrifice meant to their families at an early age. Before he joined the Marines, he delivered Western Union telegrams informing mothers that their sons had been killed in action. "When I handed her the envelope, well, she just collapsed," he recalled. "As an 18-year-old boy, I didn't know what to do. I didn't do anything.  I left. You know, I didn't know what to do." "You've done a pretty good job of making up for it," Martin said. "Well, it left a lasting impression on my mind. Made me realize what it costs just to have our freedom and be who we are," he said."

Both Democrats and Republicans seem to have forgotten this.

"He worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 33 years. Afterwards, he set up the Woody Williams Foundation to support Gold Star families, and designed a monument in their honor. "We're in all 50 states," he said. "Does that require a lot of travel on your part?" "We try to attend every dedication and every groundbreaking." Before COVID hit, this 90-something would be on the road more than 200 days a year. Martin asked, "Why do you drive yourself like that? At your age, everybody would understand if you begged off." "This is my way of making sure that our Gold Star family members are not forgotten," Williams replied. This past April, Charles Coolidge, the only other living Medal of Honor recipient from World War II, passed away. Martin said, "Now you're the last man standing." "Yeah." "Does that add to the feeling of responsibility?" "Yes, it does. It does." "Do you ever wonder why you've been given so long to live?" "Maybe I'm making somebody else's life a little better, a little more meaningful," he replied. "Woody" Williams has led the most meaningful life possible, although he puts it differently: "I'm just absolutely the most fortunate person you could lay your eyes on," he said. And one more thing we learned about the last man standing: he's also the coolest 97-year-old in the United States of America."

Uncommon Valor.  Hat's off.  When did we lose ourselves?

Perseverance.  Expect less of a 97-year-old Second World War veteran?  United Press International reports:

"An Illinois man who left college to serve in World War II returned to finish his education nearly 80 years later. Bill Gossett, 97, attended Lincoln College for a short time before transferring to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, but he ended up joining the U.S. Army Air Corps before finishing a degree. Gossett returned from the war and took over the family business, Gossett's Cleaners, instead of returning to school. "There was always a void there but I was busy learning to run a business. Time went by and I finally decided to finish my degree. It was a goal of self-fulfillment," Gossett said in a news release. Gossett approached Lincoln College officials about returning to the school to finish his associate's degree. "In 2019, Mr. Gossett came to me and said he wanted to finish his associate's degree at Lincoln College," Lincoln College President David Gerlach said. "After meeting with the Registrar's Office, we determined that Gossett could re-enroll as a reverse transfer student with Prior Learning Assessment credits. We were inspired by his desire to obtain a degree 80 years after his education began," he said. Gossett completed his Associate of Arts degree in 2020, but had to wait for the 2021 graduation ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gerlach surprised Gossett at the ceremony with an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters."

How about thatHat's off.

Uncommon Valor.  By a 7-year-old boy.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"Boy, 7, swims an hour to rescue his dad and little sister. A 7-year-old boy is being credited for saving his father and 4-year-old sister by out-swimming a strong current to get help during a holiday weekend boating trip. A 7-year-old boy is being credited for helping to save his father and 4-year-old sister by swimming to shore and calling for help after they got caught in a strong current during a holiday weekend boating trip on Florida's St. Johns River. The father, Steven Poust, told Jax4 television station that he anchored his boat in the river while he fished and his children played on Friday. Chase Poust said the current was too strong for her sister Abigail to hold onto the boat, and he also let go to stay with her. Only the girl was wearing a life jacket. “I felt really scared,” Chase told the station. Their father jumped in the water to grab her. Chase then began swimming toward shore. “I told them I loved him because I wasn’t sure what’s going to happen,” their father told the station. “I tried to stick with both of them. I wore myself out. She drifted away from me.” Chase kept swimming, doggie paddling and floating on his back to keep from tiring out. “The current was going the opposite way of going to the boat and the shore so it was very hard to swim that way,” Chase said. It took him about an hour to reach land. He ran to the nearest house for help. Crews from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission found the father and daughter about a mile from their boat. “I screamed for help at the top of my lungs and waved my arms and sure enough someone heard us,” Poust said. “Little man also made it to shore and got help and that’s what saved our lives.”

Uncommon Valor at the age of seven.  Think this kid doesn't have quite a future ahead of him?

"According to Eric Prosswimmer of the fire department, neither the 7-year-old nor the father were required to wear a life vest. The law applies to children age 6 and under for a vessel under 26 feet (8 meters) long."

Clearly, that needs to change.

Biden's first Memorial Day as president.  NBC News reports:

"Biden observes Memorial Day at Arlington Cemetery with calls for empathy, unity. It was Biden’s first time as commander-in-chief participating in a ceremony that has been carried out every year since the Civil War."

Comes at a most poignant, critical time in our country's history.  Most divided we've ever been, -- at least in the last 100 years.  Half the country believes Trump won the 2020 election despite the fact there is zero indication fraud was a factor.  Continues to believe the lies of a congenital liar.  A dictator.  A fascist.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.  Readers are reminded hundreds of thousands of our best and brightest died fighting this ideology.  Second World War European Theater.  Only to now see it resurrected here in the United States.

"President Joe Biden paid tribute to the men and women who gave their lives in service to their country during a ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day, speaking in deeply personal terms about overcoming loss and the importance of upholding democratic values at home and abroad."

Increasingly difficult as this nation continues to nazify.  Republicans remain out of control.  Democrats seemingly incapable of confronting this exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

"In addressing the sacrifice made by military families who have lost a loved one, Biden spoke at length about his personal experience of losing his son Beau Biden, a veteran of the Iraq war, who died of brain cancer six years ago yesterday. “To those who mourn a loved one today, Jill and I have some idea how you are feeling," Biden said in remarks after laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, "Our losses are not the same, but that black hole you feel in your chest, like it is going to suck you in, it we get." It was Biden’s first time as commander-in-chief participating in a ceremony that has been carried out every year since the Civil War. In his remarks, Biden called on Americans to show more empathy towards each other and unite around the shared ideals America is built on. He also touched on several issues the country is currently grappling with, including voting rights and racial equality."

Sadly, this threat is courtesy of Republicans who are no longer conservatives, treasonously embraced racist national socialism, fascism.  Wage war on all civil and constitutional rights and liberties including egregious voter suppression.  Democrats seem to have lost themselves.  Remain incapable of competently confronting this increasing threat to liberty.

“Democracy thrives, and the infrastructure of democracy is strong, when people have the right to vote freely and fairly and conveniently, on a free and independent press to pursue the truth, followed on facts, not propaganda, on the rule of law applied equally and fairly to every citizen, regardless of where they come from, what they look like,” Biden said."

No more than empty, hollow rhetoric when not backed up with action.  At a time when our formerly great country is a democratic republic in name only.  In reality, a de facto fascist police-state since at least the 9/11 attack.

"Biden also gave a warning to those around the world and at home who pose a threat to democracy. “Our troops have fought this battle on fields around the world but also a battle of our time, and the mission for each of us, each and every day," Biden said. "Democracy itself is imperiled here at home and around the world."

It is.  No question.  January 6, 2021 will go down in history.  ... The day the treasonous Trump nazi incited insurrection to remain in office, -- despite having fairly lost the election.  No indication of fraud interfering with that loss.  None.  Yet, the traitorous, fascist son of a bitch has yet to be indicted, held accountable.

"As Biden’s motorcade was rolling out of Arlington Cemetery he made an unscheduled stop among the headstones to meet with several families paying their respects."

These families paid the ultimate price for freedom having lost a loved one in defense of a constitutional democratic republic.  Only to see that republic under dire threat by the fascist element in the Republican Party.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.  Too deaf to hear?  Or, too aggressively stupid.  Time is running out.  Time to wake up.  Before too late.

No longer.

Another Black man murdered by three jackbooted bastards in blue.  NBC News reports:

"Three Tacoma Police Department officers have been charged in the death of Manuel Ellis, a Black man who died last year after being handcuffed and restrained. Officers Christopher Burbank and Matthew Collins were both charged with second-degree murder and Officer Timothy Rankine with first-degree manslaughter, the Washington State Attorney General announced in a press release. Warrants have been issued for their arrests."

Why did it take over a year to finally hold these bastards accountable?  Had it been the other way around and an officer had been killed by a civilian, the perpetrator would have been immediately arrested, jailed, quickly charged.  Why special treatment for the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue?

"Ellis, 33, died on March 3, 2020, after police stopped him while he was walking home. Authorities said at the time that he was allegedly harassing a woman at an intersection. But probable cause documents state that police were unprovoked when they slammed Ellis to the ground, punched him and hogtied him while Ellis repeatedly said, "I can't breathe." According to the documents, Ellis had gone to a store near his home for a late-night snack when, at around 11:20 p.m., he encountered Burbank and Collins in their patrol car at a red light. Ellis stopped and “appeared to briefly interact with the officers as they sat in their car," the document states. Witnesses said it looked like Ellis was having a "casual conversation" with the officers and that he showed "no signs of aggression." As Ellis began to walk away, Burbank “abruptly swung open the passenger door of the car, striking Ellis from behind and knocking him to his knees," the document states. Witnesses said the officer then got out and got on top of Ellis as Ellis tried to get up. Collins then got out and ran over to them. Several witnesses began to record the encounter on their cellphones. Video from one woman showed Burbank wrap his arms around Ellis “lifting him into the air, and driving him down into the pavement, striking at him with one of his fists as he does so.” "Collins then moves in towards Ellis and brings his weight down onto him. With Ellis underneath him, Collins begins striking Ellis's head with his fist," according to the document. Collins is accused of slamming Ellis to the ground as Burbank fired his stun gun at him. Both officers had a handcuffed Ellis pinned to the ground when Officer Rankine arrived on the scene, the document states. Rankine is accused of "applying pressure to Ellis's back" with both of his knees."

These three pieces of human excrement couldn't have cared less:

"According to the document, officers eventually called the fire department for help but did not tell them that Ellis said he could not breathe. It wasn't until after 11:32 p.m. when police requested medical aid. By the time the fire department arrived, Ellis was unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene."

Coup de grace?  Get this:

"Authorities previously tried to paint Ellis as the aggressor. “He picked up the officer by his vest and slam-dunked him on the ground,” said Ed Troyer, spokesman for the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department. Police said he repeatedly struck the patrol car, prompting the officers to call for backup before engaging in a struggle to detain him, police said. The documents deny the allegations. “These accounts are contradicted by the three civilian witnesses, none of whom ever saw Ellis in the intersection, or saw Ellis strike the officers' car, or saw Ellis attack, punch, or otherwise strike the officers at any point," it states. "These civilian accounts are supported by video sources.”

How about that?  Congenital liars in blue.

"The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office said Ellis died of respiratory arrest due to hypoxia as a result of physical restraint, KING reported. Contributing factors included methamphetamine intoxication and dilated cardiomyopathy, commonly known as an enlarged heart, the medical examiner said. The Tacoma Police Union blasted the decision to bring charges as "a politically motivated witch hunt." "We look forward to trial," the union said Thursday in a statement. "An unbiased jury will find that the officers broke no laws and, in fact, acted in accordance with the law, their training, and Tacoma Police Department policies."

Had an innocent man not been so heinously murdered by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue, the above quote vis a vis the Tacoma Police Union would have indeed been laughable.

CBS News reports:

"The Washington state attorney general on Thursday charged two Tacoma police officers with murder and one with manslaughter in the death of Manuel Ellis, a Black man who died after repeatedly telling them he couldn't breathe as he was being restrained. Attorney General Bob Ferguson filed charges of second-degree murder against Christopher Burbank and Matthew Collins, and first-degree manslaughter against Timothy Rankine. Witnesses reported seeing Burbank and Collins attack Ellis without provocation, according to a probable cause statement filed in Pierce County Superior Court. Rankine is accused of putting pressure on Ellis' back as he said he couldn't breathe. Ellis, 33, died on March 3, 2020 — Tasered, handcuffed and hogtied, with his face covered by a spit hood — just weeks before George Floyd's death under the knee of a white Minneapolis police officer triggered a nationwide reckoning on race and policing. The Pierce County medical examiner called the death of Ellis a homicide and attributed it to lack of oxygen from being restrained, with an enlarged heart and methamphetamine intoxication as contributing factors. The death made Ellis' name synonymous with pleas for justice at protests in the Pacific Northwest. His final words — "I can't breathe, sir!" — were captured by a home security camera. "Ellis was not fighting back," the probable cause statement said. "All three civilian witnesses at the intersection ... state that they never saw Ellis strike at the officers." The case marks the first time the attorney general's office has charged police officers with unlawful use of deadly force, Ferguson said."

What took so long?

"Five Tacoma officers have been on paid home leave pending the charging decision, and Ferguson said the investigation is continuing. Attorneys for the defendants did not immediately return messages seeking comment. The encounter began after officers reported seeing Ellis trying to get into occupied cars at a red light. They cast Ellis as the aggressor, saying he charged as an officer exited a police car.  But two witnesses who recorded parts of the fatal interaction came forward with identical stories, saying police attacked without provocation. An officer in the passenger side of a patrol car slammed his door into Ellis, knocking him down, and then jumped on him and started beating him, they said. The witnesses "described seeing a casual interaction between the officers and Ellis before Burbank struck Ellis with his car door — there was no sudden, random attack by Ellis as the officers described that night to others," the probable cause statement said. Pierce County Sheriff Ed Troyer, who was then a detective and the spokesman for the sheriff's office, said after Ellis' death that none of the officers placed a knee on his neck or head. But one of the witness videos that later surfaced depicts just that."

Nothing quite like a liar, is there?

"The Pierce County Sheriff's Office botched the initial investigation into Ellis' death by failing to disclose for three months that one of its deputies had been involved in restraining Ellis; state law requires independent investigations. The Washington State Patrol took over, and the Attorney General's Office conducted its review based on evidence gathered by the patrol as well as its own additional investigation.

"Ellis' death, Pierce County's botched investigation into it, and the national outcry for racial justice helped inspire Gov. Jay Inslee to convene a task force to suggest ways to guarantee independent reviews of police use of deadly force."

Law enforcement investigating itself is no more than the fox guarding the chicken coop.

"Last week, Inslee signed one of the nation's most ambitious packages of police accountability legislation, including outright bans on police use of chokeholds, neck restraints and no-knock warrants. The legislation also makes it easier to decertify police for bad acts — and creates an independent office to review deadly force cases. The charged officers could face up to life in prison if convicted, but the standard sentencing range is 10 to 18 years for second-degree murder with no prior criminal history, and 6.5 to 8.5 years for manslaughter."

Yet, kill a cop even in self-defense in most states, guess what?  Get executed.  No equal justice.  Special treatment for the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.

In follow-up to a case covered repeatedly in this publication and elsewhere, NPR reports:

"Amy Cooper, a white New York woman who called police on a Black bird-watcher in Central Park last Memorial Day, is suing the company that swiftly fired her over the controversial incident. "We do not tolerate racism of any kind at Franklin Templeton," the investment firm said the day after the incident. It said it had completed an internal review and decided to terminate her, effective immediately. Amy Cooper filed a federal lawsuit this week against Franklin Templeton, saying the company never investigated the incident that led to her firing — the confrontation between her and Christian Cooper. Her lawsuit claims that her employer discriminated against her because of her race and gender."

Jesus Christ.  Give me a break.  What a crock of shit.

Readers will recall:

"Much of the encounter was captured on video by Christian Cooper, who is not related to Amy Cooper, after he said he asked her to put a leash on her dog to comply with the rules in that area of the park. The video, which went viral, shows Amy Cooper calling the police. "I'm in The Ramble, and there's a man, African American, he's got a bicycle helmet. He's recording me and threatening me and my dog," she told the emergency dispatcher. The bird-watcher does not appear to come closer to her and remains calm as Amy Cooper grows agitated and starts to scream. "I'm sorry. I can't hear. Are you there? I'm being threatened by a man in The Ramble. Please send the cops immediately!" He was not threatening her in the video. Christian Cooper told NPR afterward that what the woman did was "pretty crappy without a doubt." He added: "I'm not sure that her one minute of poor decision-making, bad judgment and, without question, racist response necessarily has to define her completely."

Clearly, this man was far more charitable to this racist woman than she was to him.

"Amy Cooper's lawsuit states that she did not call the police because she was racist, but "because she was alone in the park and frightened to death after being selected as the next target of Christian Cooper, an overzealous birdwatcher engaged in Central Park's ongoing feud between birdwatchers and dog owners." She is seeking "back pay and bonus, loss of unvested funds and other benefits, front pay or reinstatements, emotional distress damages, attorneys' fees and costs, and interest and punitive damages in an amount to be determined at trial." Franklin Templeton maintains that the company did the right thing in firing Cooper. "We believe the circumstances of the situation speak for themselves and that the company responded appropriately," the company told NPR in an emailed statement. "We will defend against these baseless claims." Amy Cooper also faced a misdemeanor charge of falsely reporting an incident to police. The Manhattan District Attorney's Office dropped the charge after she completed restorative justice sessions."

Think you've heard it all?  NPR reports:

"An Alabama man is suing a Jefferson County sheriff's deputy for excessive force and civil rights violations, alleging that handcuffs he says were secured too tightly resulted in the amputation of his left hand. On Feb. 16, 2020, Giovanni Loyola was at his mother's house in Pinson, Ala., when three Jefferson County sheriff's deputies knocked at the door, according to the complaint. They were responding to multiple calls of two men fighting and handling large weapons. The lawsuit says a "Deputy Godber" grabbed Loyola by the wrist and forcefully removed him from the house moments after Loyola answered the door. The lawsuit does not provide the deputy's first name. NPR's phone calls to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office went unanswered."

Surprised?

"The deputy then allegedly pulled the then 25-year-old man down the steps and "slammed" Loyola against a car before throwing him to the ground and then punching him in the face, the lawsuit says. The deputy then secured Loyola's hands behind his back with handcuffs that were "unbearably tight." About 10 months later Loyola's left hand was amputated. At the time of the incident Loyola complained that the handcuffs were too tight and that he was losing feeling in his left hand, the lawsuit alleges. He pleaded with the officer to loosen them, but Godber ignored him."

Jackbooted motherf--ker in blue.

"The handcuffs remained tightly on Plaintiff's wrists until they were removed hours later at the jail," the amended complaint read. "After Plaintiff got out of jail on February 28, 2020, his left wrist was still in tremendous pain." After his release from jail, Loyola went to Christ Health Center to have his left hand checked, according to the complaint. The physician said there was a severe blood flow problem and surgery was required. He was then admitted to Ascension St. Vincent's East hospital in Birmingham. When he arrived, Loyola's fingertips were grey and notes from the emergency department said there was "concern for necrosis." Loyola was in and out of the hospital over the next 10 months, which ultimately resulted in the amputation of his left hand, according to the lawsuit. The law firm representing Loyola — Wiggins, Childs, Pantazis, Fisher and Goldfarb of Birmingham — filed the initial complaint on April 27, and an amended complaint the following day. Godber was served with the lawsuit May 3, and has until May 24 to respond, court documents said."

It's how the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue get their cookies offForget?

"Deputy Godber handcuffed Plaintiff's wrists so tightly that Plaintiff immediately lost sensation in one hand, and Deputy Godber refused to loosen the handcuffs even after Plaintiff told him that they were too tight and were causing him pain. These actions and inactions constituted unreasonable and excessive force," Loyola's attorneys argued. "As a result of Deputy Godber's actions, Plaintiff suffered injuries including deprivation of liberty, physical injuries including the loss of his hand, pain and suffering and emotional distress, and lost future earning potential."

Savages.  No better description.  The Washington Post reports:

"Eleven jail employees have been fired and several others suspended following the death of a detainee who was stripped naked and beaten during the severe winter storm in Texas, the Harris County sheriff announced Friday."

Why have they yet to be arrested, jailed, charged, and prosecuted?

"Jaquaree Simmons, 23, died in February from blunt force trauma to the head and a brain bleed the day after he was beaten by jail workers out of view from security cameras, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said. Three months after Simmons’s death, investigators said they concluded detention officers committed serious policy violations, including using excessive force, failing to document the use of force, failing to intervene and making false statements during the course of the investigation. The jail workers, 11 who were terminated and six suspended without pay, may also face criminal charges, said the sheriff, adding that the workers betrayed his and the community’s trust."

Jesus Christ.  Why the double standard?  Why no equal justice?  Had it been the other way around and a civilian had killed a cop or jailer even in self defense, his ass would have been immediately arrested, jailed, and prosecuted.  Executed in many states.

“They escalated, rather than de-escalated, the situation,” Gonzalez said of the employees. “Their conduct was unacceptable and inexcusable, and has discredited them, the Sheriff’s Office, and their fellow employees. None of them deserve to wear the Harris County Sheriff’s Office patch ever again.”

Where's criminal prosecution of these jackbooted bastards?  Where?

"Gonzalez emphasized that the force used against Simmons was done out of view of the 1,490 security cameras operating inside the 1.4-million-square-foot jail complex, making the investigation “especially difficult.”

Taxpayers are already egregiously looted to pay the salaries, benefits of these savages.  How about reducing compensation to these pieces of shit and spending it on additional security cameras so the entire facility is covered so this violence can be easily investigated, quickly prosecuted?

"Gonzalez said he felt “very upset and heartbroken” in the wake of the findings, stressing the agency’s efforts to hold those responsible for Simmons’s death accountable. Amid a national reckoning about police use of force, Gonzalez underscored that officers’ misbehavior would not be tolerated by the sheriff’s office."

Empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric.

"The sheriff’s office identified the terminated employees as Detention Officers Garland Barrett, Patricia Brummett, Joshua Dixon, Alysheia Mallety, Israel Martinez, Eric Morales, Alfredo Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Chadwick Westmoreland, Detention Sgt. Jacob Ramirez and Deputy Dana Walker. The Harris County Deputies Organization, a union that represents sheriff’s office employees, did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Washington Post. It is unclear if the union represents the workers who were terminated or suspended. The employees have the right to appeal their disciplinary actions to an independent commission."

Precisely, why this violence continues all across this country as the perpetrators of these crimes remain protected, coddled.  Not subjected to the same treatment accorded the civilian population.

"Houston police are still conducting a separate criminal investigation into the events leading up to Simmons’s death."

Clearly, the bastards are dragging their feet.  Law enforcement investigating itself is akin to the fox guarding the chicken coop.  No justice.

"Simmons was initially jailed on Feb. 10 on a weapons charge and put in quarantine due to coronavirus precautions taken at the jail at the time, the sheriff said. Six days later, Simmons used his clothing to clog the toilet in his cell, causing the room to flood, jail officials reported. When detention officers came into the cell to clean it, they used force against him, although it was not documented, the sheriff’s office found. Simmons was then left naked in his cell on one of the coldest days of the year. Jail policy requires staff to notify a supervisor before removing an inmate’s clothing and give the person a smock. When an officer came back to his cell that night to deliver a meal, Simmons allegedly threw his food tray and charged at the officer, who punched Simmons in the face, according to the investigation. Deputies who escorted Simmons to receive medical evaluation used force again but did not document it, despite Simmons suffering multiple blows to his head, the sheriff’s office said."

Jackbooted savages.  How the bastards perversely get their cookies off.

"Simmons had a cut to his left eyebrow and upper lip, the medical staff recorded. Power was out inside the jail because of the winter storm, so the medical staff ordered an X-ray as soon as possible, but he was never taken back to the clinic even after power was restored, investigators found."

How about that?  Yet, to date, no one prosecuted.

Get this:

"Jailers also did not document required hourly visual checks on Simmons’s cell pod until minutes before they found him unresponsive on Feb. 17, another violation of policy, according to investigators. Simmons was taken to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead."

Too little, too late.  Jackbooted pieces of shit.

Their victim had mental health problems:

"His mother, Larhonda Biggles, told the Houston Chronicle that her son, who suffered from mental health issues, was arrested shortly after leaving her birthday party. After his death was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner, she told the newspaper she was still searching for clues about how he could have died after a week in Harris County Jail. Biggles did not immediately respond Friday night when contacted by The Post, but previously told the Chronicle that, “we want people to know that we lost somebody and we don’t have no answers.” “It’s like ‘Ok, he died, he’s buried — that’s it.’ No. We’re not going to let that be like that, you understand what I’m saying?” she said. “Somebody needs to be held accountable for what happened to my son.”

... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.  Too deaf to hear?  Or, too aggressively stupid.

No justice.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

FBI agent charged with attempted murder.  The Washington Post reports:

"An FBI agent who shot another passenger during a confrontation aboard a moving subway train just outside Washington was indicted on attempted murder and other counts, according Maryland court records unsealed Tuesday morning. Eduardo Valdivia, 37, was also charged with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony stemming from the early-morning encounter six months ago on a southbound Metro Red Line train. The passenger who was struck was hospitalized with gunshot wounds but survived. Valdivia was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Center Tuesday morning, according to online records and a jail official, after turning himself in. He was expected to appear in court later in the day to have the conditions of his bond reviewed. No trial date has been set."

Why did it take six months to charge the agent?  Had it been the other way around and an agent had been shot by a civilian, the civilian would have been immediately arrested, jailed, quickly charged.  Why the double standard?  Why special treatment accorded an officer?

"Law enforcement officials have described Valdivia’s actions as an extreme overreaction to a stranger with a history of aggressive panhandling who confronted the agent but did not physically assault him. There has been no indication that the man was armed. The criminal case against Valdivia is the second in recent months involving a federal law enforcement officer in Montgomery County, a jurisdiction just north of Washington with about 1 million people. On April 29, an off-duty Pentagon police officer, David Dixon, was indicted on two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. Prosecutors say Dixon shot at three men in a Takoma Park parking lot as they drove away and posed no danger to him. Dixon’s lawyers at a bail review hearing Thursday said the officer acted in self-defense after the car had driven toward him Dixon is scheduled to be tried on Sept. 27. Both incidents were captured by security cameras — in the parking lot in the Dixon case and inside the train car in the Valdivia case."

Lack of transparency remains an ongoing problem:

"Since launching their investigation of the agent after the Dec. 15 shooting, officials with the Metro Transit Police, FBI and the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office have said little about how and why the shooting transpired other than indicating that a “verbal exchange” and confrontation preceded the gunfire. The most comprehensive account was a recorded 911 call released by Montgomery County officials after a public records request."

An ongoing investigation is no excuse for the lack of transparency.  No transparency results in loss of trust.  Law enforcement has lied too many times to cover the ass of criminal officers.

"According to the 911 call, placed by another passenger who saw the encounter, the agent was confronted by a man and warned him to back away. The man instead prepared to fight him, according to the call. “The FBI agent said: ‘Move away. I’m an FBI agent. Back away,’ ” the 911 caller said. “The other gentleman didn’t, dropped his bag, approached him to fight him.” The agent fired “two or three” rounds, according to the witness who called 911. The account did not disclose what was said by the men before the shooting."

This lack of transparency remains quite a problem.  Could it be this agent gutlessly embraces a 'shoot first, ask questions later' mentality?

ABC News(AP) reports:

"An FBI agent has been charged with attempted murder in the off-duty shooting of another man on a Metro subway train last year in a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C., according to court records unsealed Tuesday. The agent, Eduardo Valdivia, was scheduled to make his initial court appearance Tuesday afternoon in Montgomery County Circuit Court on charges including attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and reckless endangerment. Valdivia, 37, turned himself in to local authorities at a county jail Tuesday morning, according to Chief Deputy Maxwell Uy of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The charges stem from a Dec. 15 shooting on a train near Medical Center Station in Bethesda. Police for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority said in a Dec. 18 statement that the agent fired multiple shots after the man had approached him that morning and they exchanged words. The statement said the wounded man was in stable condition less than a week after the shooting. It didn't elaborate on the nature of the “verbal exchange” between him and the agent just before the shooting."

Why not?

"Robert Bonsib, a lawyer for Valdivia, said in a lengthy statement that his client “has had an impeccable personal and professional background.” He joined the bureau in 2011, and at the time of the shooting, was providing “operational guidance and programmatic oversight” of FBI investigations targeting racially motivated and anti-government extremists."

That right?  -- A bit trigger happy as well, no?  ... Impressed with himself, -- just like you, sir?

"Valdivia was on his way to work on the morning of the shooting when he was confronted by a man who Bonsib said “engaged in threatening and aggressive behavior" at close range. “One does not wait to be physically attacked — one does not wait until the threat has 'hands on you — before one is authorized to defend oneself,” Bonsib wrote. “Neither does one need to retreat — when retreat is not possible — as was not possible here when Eddie Valdivia was seated at the end of the Metro car” with his back against the wall and “no clear exit path.”

If the video supports what you're claiming, Counselor, why would prosecutors have charged him?  Why would they waste taxpayer money to prosecute a case they couldn't win?

"Bonsib also signaled his plans to invoke in his client's defense the background of the man who was shot in asserting that the shooting was justified. He attached documents showing a lengthy criminal history that he said matched the identity of the shooting victim, including arrests for prior sexual misconduct — such as exposing himself — as well as unprovoked physical attacks. Bonsib said court records indicate the wounded man has a history of unpredictable and violent behavior, including an 2019 incident in which the man allegedly attacked and threatened to kill somebody at a Metro station."

That right?  Again, if what you claim is true, why would prosecutors try a case they couldn't win?  How does your claim reconcile with the following?  That is, are you blowing smoke to defend your client?

"The indictment names the man who was shot and also a second man, who it identifies as the victim of the reckless endangerment charge."

The lack of transparency by both the prosecution and defense raises more questions than either side is willing to answer.

"In a statement Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the FBI's Baltimore field office said the bureau was aware of the charges and is fully cooperating with the investigation. “As is customary following a shooting incident, this matter will be subject to internal review,” spokeswoman Joy Jiras said. The Metro Transit Police Department said in December that it had reviewed video footage and taken statements from Metro employees, passengers and others. In a 911 call released in January, a witness said the agent had warned the man to back away, but the man ignored the command and instead prepared to fight him, the Washington Post reported. “The FBI agent said: ‘Move away. I’m an FBI agent. Back away,’ ” the 911 caller said. “The other gentleman didn’t, dropped his bag, approached him to fight him.” The caller said the FBI agent was “attacked” by the other passenger but did not describe how."

That's a problem.  A big problem.  Could it be the caller was biased in favor of the agent and was attempting to protect him?  Needless to say, be interesting to see how all this turns out.  One thing for sure, lack of transparency is an ongoing problem.

A corrupt, abusive police chief.  The Washington Post reports:

"Last March, West Hazleton, Pa., Police Chief Brian Buglio summoned a man to the police station to deliver an ultimatum, federal prosecutors said. Either the man could delete Facebook posts he’d made slamming Buglio’s management of the department and his officers, and refrain from making any future critical comments — or else Buglio would fabricate felony charges against him. “I said to Brian, ‘Why are you doing this?’ ” the victim, Paul DeLorenzo, told WNEP. “He goes, ‘Well, you like to post fake things and fake stories about me so, I could make up a fake arrest and put you in jail.’ ” Now Buglio, 45, is facing federal charges for allegedly threatening DeLorenzo with criminal charges in retaliation for his social media posts. Buglio has agreed to plead guilty, according to court documents in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Neither Buglio nor his attorney immediately responded to messages from The Washington Post late Monday. Buglio has worked for the rural Eastern Pennsylvania department of four full-time and four part-time officers since 1996, according to the borough’s website."

Apparently, the Chief thought he could get away with anything leading a small department in a rural area.

"In February 2020, several Facebook posts appeared slamming Buglio and his department in the town of nearly 4,400 residents, federal prosecutors said. (Court documents don’t name the author, but he identified himself to WNEP as DeLorenzo, who lives about 50 miles away in East Stroudsburg, Penn.) In one of DeLorenzo’s posts, he wrote that Buglio had taken too long to make an arrest in a case he was involved with, WNEP reported. DeLorenzo also accused Buglio of committing a violent crime. When Buglio learned about the posts, he allegedly threatened DeLorenzo over the phone. “He called me, left me a voice mail, and said that he was going to arrest me for a crime that was being investigated for something I’ve never even done or had any part of,” DeLorenzo told WNEP."

The Chief is not only Aryan arrogant, but aggressively stupid:

"On March 4, Buglio asked DeLorenzo to meet at the precinct, court records state, where he laid out his threats. “During the meeting, Brian Buglio acknowledged that the threatened felony charges lacked merit,” according to the federal complaint. By the end of the meeting, DeLorenzo agreed to take down the posts from the social media platform and to refrain from posting any other critical messages about Buglio and his force. Both men shook hands to close the “deal” and parted ways. But DeLorenzo then called the FBI to report the chief’s threats, he told WNEP."

Jesus Christ.  The Chief bought the ruse.  LOL.  'Stupid is as stupid does.'

"Eventually, the case was picked up by the FBI Scranton office’s Public Corruption Task Force, which includes officers from the Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, along with FBI and Internal Revenue Service agents. On Thursday, federal authorities charged Buglio with one count of deprivation of civil rights. Buglio could face up to one year of imprisonment and a $100,000 fine in the case. The chief signed a plea deal in April in which he agreed to resign from his position, court records show. Court records do not indicate when Buglio is next due in court. West Hazleton Solicitor Chris Slusser told the Times Leader that he could not comment on Buglio’s employment at the moment."

Why not?  How is it possible this criminal bastard remains chief of police?  How?

As our formerly great country continues to deteriorate, sadly expect more of the following.  Tragically, Democrats offer no more than a Band Aid on an arterial wound.  Republicans offer no more than shit squat, that is, support of the murderous criminal jackbooted bastards in blue no matter what.  Both major political parties, -- a massive failure.  ABC News reports:

"It was a violent Memorial Day weekend for many American cities. Gun violence in the U.S. is surging. So far, 8,100 people in the United States have died from gun violence in 2021 as of Sunday, according to the Gun Violence Archive, putting the year on track to match the over 19,000 who were killed in 2020. Those numbers mark significant increases from 2019, when over 15,000 people died by gun violence. In Miami-Dade County, Florida, 23 people were shot in a mass shooting outside a banquet hall early Sunday, including two who were killed. Authorities said they believe the shooting at the El Mula Banquet Hall in Hialeah, Florida, was motivated by an "ongoing rivalry" between two groups. The shooters reportedly waited outside of the banquet hall for about 40 minutes before exiting their car and opening fire, Miami-Dade Police Director Freddy Ramirez told ABC News on Sunday. Some patrons returned fire, Ramirez said, and over 100 shell casings were found at the scene. The three suspected shooters remain at large. Despite a cold and rainy holiday weekend, 16 people were shot in Philadelphia between Friday and Monday, including four people who were killed, police said. The violence didn't stop once the holiday weekend ended. Two deadly shootings unfolded in southwest Philadelphia just minutes apart early Tuesday: A 35-year-old man was shot at least four times at close range near his home, and a 28-year-old man was shot at least twice in a bowling alley parking lot, ABC Philadelphia station WPVI reported. In Harris County, Texas, which encompasses Houston, multiple shootings were reported in public places over Memorial Day weekend. An employee at a nail salon was shot on Saturday, and deadly gunfire erupted at a nightclub early Monday, according to the sheriff's office. In New York City, shootings were reported in all five boroughs Monday night. A total of nine shootings were reported in New York on Memorial Day. Among the 15 victims was a 15-year-old who died, police said. New York City is experiencing a massive spike in gun violence. Shootings are up 77% from the same time last year. There have been 573 shootings so far this year with 652 victims, a drastic increase from the 323 incidents with 366 victims at this point last year. "A lot of the time you have individuals shooting at other individuals that are known," NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea told local station NY1 on Tuesday, "but as the tide rises, you start to see more and more innocent people getting shot, too."

Sadly, the above is to be expected as a country continues to deteriorate, heads for anarchy, when government no longer serves the needs of the bottom and middle class, only the top of the food chain.  Biden and staff, as well as most Democrats, fail to understand the root cause of all this violence:

"White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki last week said, "Certainly, there is a guns problem." “And that's something the president would say, and there are communities where local violence and community violence is an issue. And that's one of the reasons that we have proposed and ... now are implementing funding for community violence prevention programs across the country,” she said, underscoring President Joe Biden’s support for passing universal background checks."

The above is no more than placing a Band Aid on an arterial wound.  The problem is not guns per se.  It is the person pulling the trigger.  It is the fact we now live in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  For an increasing number of Americans, the American Dream no longer exists.  They're no more than chattel, indentured servants to the top of the food chain.  It is the loss of life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at the hands of government and its criminal jackbooted bastards in blue that presents the greatest threat to the rule of law, a constitutional democratic republic.  Anarchy and violence in the streets lead to insurrection, then far worse.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.  Too deaf to hear?  ... Or, too aggressively stupid.  Time to finally wake up before too late.

The State of Arizona has gone German Nazi.  LiterallyThe Washington Post reports:

"Arizona is taking steps to use hydrogen cyanide, the deadly gas used during the genocide perpetrated by the Nazis at Auschwitz and other extermination camps, to kill inmates on death row. Corrections officials have refurbished a gas chamber that hasn’t been used in more than 20 years and have procured ingredients for the lethal gas, also known as Zyklon B, according to partially redacted documents obtained by the Guardian. Invoices show that the state purchased a brick of potassium cyanide, sodium hydroxide pellets and sulfuric acid, and a report details the considerable efforts taken to deem the gas chamber at a prison in Florence, Ariz., “operationally ready.”

Here's the problem:

"Critics of the gas method say that in addition to hydrogen cyanide’s infamous use in the mass killings of Jewish people by the Nazis, it has produced some of the most botched, disturbing executions in the United States. “You have to wonder what Arizona was thinking in believing that in 2021 it is acceptable to execute people in a gas chamber with cyanide gas,” Robert Dunham, executive director of the Death Penalty Information Center, told the British outlet. “Did they have anybody study the history of the Holocaust?”

Arizona is run and owned by Republicans.  Republicans are no longer conservatives, have embraced national socialism.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"In a statement, the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry said it was “prepared to perform its legal obligation and commence the execution process as part of the legally imposed sentence, regardless of method selected.” The department pointed to the Arizona statute allowing a defendant sentenced to death to choose between lethal injection or lethal gas at least 20 days before the execution date. There is little medical research about lethal gas’s effects on the human body, but executions using gas have taken much longer than other methods, according to Fordham University law professor Deborah Denno. “It’s without question that lethal gas, or as least the lethal gas that Arizona is trying to bring back, is the most gruesome of all these methods we’ve had in this country,” Denno told The Washington Post on Tuesday. Arizona, one of 27 states where the death penalty remains legal, postponed executions after the execution of Joseph R. Wood III in 2014 by lethal injection, which prompted a review of the death chamber protocols."

When will Arizona apply the same penalty to its criminal jackbooted bastards in blue who have murdered while on duty?  Why the double standard?

"Although states’ enforcement of capital punishment has dwindled in recent years, the Trump administration set a record for executions after a 17-year federal hiatus. President Biden has supported eliminating the federal death penalty through legislation. Public support for capital punishment has dwindled, according to Gallup polls."

For damned good reason.  Seems reserved for the bottom of the food chain and the lower middle class.

"Arizona’s preparation to use lethal gas comes amid a scarcity of execution drugs and as other states have taken a closer look at firing squads and other execution methods. South Carolina could force death row inmates to choose between electric chair, firing squad. Lethal gas is permitted for executions in six other states: Alabama, California, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Wyoming. Oklahoma, Mississippi and Alabama have authorized nitrogen hypoxia, which uses nitrogen to deprive the body of oxygen, despite a small body of scientific research and no previous executions using the method in the United States. In Arizona, where 115 inmates are on death row, hydrogen cyanide has been deployed before. The state has killed 37 people with lethal gas, most before 1950. Since the U.S. Supreme Court lifted its moratorium on the death penalty in 1976, the state has executed two inmates with gas, most recently in 1999, according to state records. In those cases, witnesses recounted excruciating deaths."

Yet, Republican Nazis in Arizona want this to continue.

"Convicted murderer Don Eugene Harding, who was put to death in 1992, was red-faced and gasping to breathe, his attorney James J. Belanger detailed in a written declaration. As the white fumes enveloped him, Harding twitched and jerked for minutes, longer than Belanger anticipated, the attorney wrote. “They were the most excoriatingly painful eight minutes of my life,” Belanger wrote."

Forget?  Nazi America.  When, where did we lose ourselves?

"The 1999 execution of German national Walter LaGrand, who was convicted of armed robbery, took even longer, a witness noted in an account published in the Tucson Citizen. LaGrand died 18 minutes after cyanide pellets were dropped into acid below his chair, enveloping him in a mist of deadly vapor that rose, “much like steam in a shower,” the witness wrote. After LaGrand coughed violently and fell forward, his back continued to rise and fall with shallow breaths and his head twitched for minutes before he was declared dead, according to the account. LaGrand was the last inmate killed in the gas chamber that officials say has since been restored."

Yet, Republicans have embraced the 'principles' of their fuhrer, the Trump nazi.  We now live in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  Democrats seem incapable of confronting, effectively countering this growing threat.

"According to the documents obtained by the Guardian, there were “significant concerns” about the rubber seals throughout the vessel because of their age. Tests used water, a smoke grenade and a more primitive review to ensure the chamber was airtight: Workers passed a candle slowly over spaces including doors and windows, watching to see whether the flame flickered. As the state readies for renewed use of the gas chamber, execution dates have not been set for convicted murderers Clarence Dixon and Frank Atwood. Their attorneys expressed concerns about the little information the state has shared."

No transparency.  Mark of a fascist police-state.

“We are deeply concerned that Arizona is even considering a plan to carry out executions using lethal gas,” federal public defender Dale Baich, who represents Dixon, told The Post. “California’s lethal gas protocol was held unconstitutional many years ago, and Arizona should not be taking this gratuitous and dangerous turn to the past.” “Frank Atwood is prepared to die,” his attorney Joseph Perkovich told the Guardian. “He is a man of Greek Orthodox faith and is preparing for this moment. But he does not want to be tortured and subjected to a botched execution.”

Lately, Republicans dangerously seem to be doing all they can to emulate their forebears, that is, German Nazis.  NPR reports:

"Florida's Republican governor signed a bill Tuesday barring transgender females from playing on public school teams intended for student athletes born as girls, plunging the state into the national culture war over transgender rights. "In Florida, girls are going to play girls sports and boys are going to play boys sports," Gov. Ron DeSantis said as he signed the bill into law at a private Christian academy in Jacksonville that would not be subject to the law. "We're going to make sure that that's the reality."

Reality?  Wake up, Governor.  You wouldn't know reality if it figuratively bit you hard on the ass.  Why are you forcing your perverse religious views on others in direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is, freedom from religion?

"The new law, sure to be challenged as unconstitutional, inflames an already contentious discussion unfolding nationally as Republican-controlled states move to limit the rights of LGBTQ people, whose advocates were particularly annoyed that the legislation was signed on the first day of Gay Pride Month. The NCAA, which oversees college athletics, has said it has "a long-standing policy that provides a more inclusive path for transgender participation in college sports." The NCAA currently requires transgender women to get treatment to lower their testosterone levels before they can compete in women's sports. When the Florida Legislature was considering the measure in April, the NCAA said it would commit championship games to "locations where hosts can commit to providing an environment that is safe, healthy and free of discrimination."

How is that possible when so many states have perversely bought, ignorantly accepted, gutlessly refused to combat the national socialism, fascism now embraced by Republican nazis?  How?

"High-profile athletic events, such as football bowl games and basketball tournaments, generate millions of dollars for local communities. The measure approved by the GOP-led Legislature takes effect July 1. It says a transgender student athlete can't participate without first showing a birth certificate saying she was a girl when she was born. It's not clear whether all females must show their birth certificates, or only those whose gender is questioned. The proposal allows another student to sue if a school allows a transgender girl or woman to play on a team intended for biological females."

What f--ked up nonsense.  When did they lose themselves?

"The final wording of the "Fairness in Women's Sports Act" stripped away some of its most contentious elements, including a requirement that transgender athletes in high schools and colleges undergo testosterone or genetic testing and submit to having their genitalia examined."

End result, however, remains the same.  That is, the LGBTQ community is egregiously discriminated against.  Clearly, the determined intention of Republican nazis:

"But the legislation signed by the governor advances an underlying principle asserted by supporters: Biological differences between males and females make it unfair for athletes identified as boys at birth to compete on teams for girls and women. The law would not bar female athletes from playing on boys or men's teams."

No equal treatment.  None.  A double standard.  Despite the fact testosterone levels, as indicated above, would be lowered by the NCAA.  Raw nazism.

"Human Rights Campaign President Alphonso David said the new law would not only harm transgender girls. "All Floridians will have to face the consequences of this anti-transgender legislation — including economic harm, expensive taxpayer-funded legal battles, and a tarnished reputation." Democrats and LGBTQ advocates said the law is discriminatory and will be challenged in court as unconstitutional. "This is yet another hate-driven attack from the governor and Republican legislators, and it's insulting that they've staged this morning's photo-op on the first day of Pride Month," said state Sen. Shevrin Jones. "At the end of the day, transgender kids are just kids."

The nazi element in the GOP remains determinedly clueless.

"Efforts by conservatives to restrict rights of gay, lesbian and transgender people have spawned numerous battles in key arenas — not only in legislatures and courtrooms but also across the economy, and critics warned of looming consequences. According to a 2017 Associated Press study, North Carolina stood to lose $3.8 billion over a dozen years because of a so-called "bathroom bill." Those losses were averted when a 2019 settlement kept the state from barring transgender people from using bathrooms that conformed to their gender identity. "Let me say very clearly: In Florida, we're going to do what's right to stand up to corporations, they are not going to dictate the policies in this state," DeSantis said while flanked by students at the religious school. "We will stand up to groups like the NCAA who think that they should be able to dictate the policies in different states. Not here, not ever."

You will lose, Governor.  It will cost you and your fellow nazis dearly, sir.

Get this.  It's extremely telling.  Certainly, exposes the true agenda of the nazi element in the Republican Party:

"A Connecticut track athlete, Selina Soule, joined the Florida governor at the news conference to talk about how she failed to advance in competitions because she competed against transgender athletes. She called it unfair. That Soule was from out of state was not lost on critics who contend that the matter was not an urgent one for Florida, noting that just 11 athletes applied for screening by the Florida High School Athletic Association since adopting its transgender participation policy in 2013."

How about that?  Fascinating, isn't it?

"This is not out of need or necessity," said Orlando Gonzales, the executive director of SAVE, a South Florida gay rights advocacy group, during a news conference. "This is really just to throw red meat out there to really rally the base of people who are anti-LGBT."

Raw nazism.  Outrageous discrimination by national socialists, fascists in the Republican Party who are hopelessly bigoted against the LGBTQ community.

Has Biden lost his mind?  NPR reports:

"President Biden has proposed a $6 trillion budget for the fiscal year starting Oct. 1, part of a plan to overhaul the U.S. economy that would also mean running up deficits of at least $1.3 trillion a year for the rest of the decade despite new tax increases on the wealthy."

Not sustainable.  This level of spending is insane.  Worse?  The proposed tax burden on the wealthy and corporations is nowhere near sufficient.

"The proposal is the biggest budget in recent history, reflecting the massive government spending plans Biden rolled out this spring in his push to bolster the middle class and make the United States more competitive with China:

— his $1.5 trillion discretionary budget, which would increase funding for education, the IRS and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, among other things;

— the $2.3 trillion American Jobs Plan investing in infrastructure, currently under negotiation with Congress; and

— the $1.8 trillion American Families Plan, which includes spending on universal preschool and two years of free community college."

All this at a time workers are not paid a livable wage courtesy of unlimited corporate greed.  Middle class gouged by IRS.

"The White House proposal highlights the president's priorities, but Congress has the power of the purse and ultimately determines government spending levels. Congress needs to pass a spending deal by October to avoid a partial government shutdown. It also faces a deadline this fall for raising the debt limit. Republicans have been averse to any tax hikes. Biden's proposed investments in infrastructure and the social safety net, the likes of which the country hasn't seen since World War II, come amid rising concerns over inflation."

Capitalism is indeed the very best system to live under, -- provided it is properly regulated.  Ours is not.  Nowhere near.  Greed rules.  Precisely, why prices rise, inflation skyrockets.  No such thing as a supposedly 'free market.'  None.  No more than a myth to keep the looted bottom and middle class under control and indentured servants.  The market is indeed controlled, manipulated, looted by those with the wealth.  Precisely, why the chickens are finally coming home to roost, shit finally hitting the fan.  None of this sustainable.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.  Half of the public ludicrously, insanely believes Trump won the election, treasonously embraces a national socialist ideology hundreds of thousands of our best and brightest died fighting against.  Second World War European Theater.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Here's the problem posed by Biden's budget:

"Under the White House plans, changes to the tax code and tax enforcement would raise additional revenue, but total spending would also climb, reaching $8.2 trillion by 2031. The federal debt would also reach record levels, surpassing the size of the entire U.S. economy — something the Congressional Budget Office had predicted would occur because of the pandemic, regardless of Biden's additional spending plans. The White House defends its eye-popping numbers as a necessary fix after decades of "underinvestment." The added spending, it says, will help build a more productive economy in the long run. "The president's budget improves the long-term fiscal outlook because his policies are more than paid for over the long run," Shalanda Young, acting director of Biden's Office of Management and Budget, told reporters. "That is a sharp departure from unpaid tax cuts under the prior administration that seriously worsened our long-term fiscal problems."

While that's certainly true of the prior administration under Trump, ultimate success of Biden's budget to improve the economy is no more than wishful thinking:

"The Biden administration has insisted its jobs and families plans will be fully paid for within 15 years through tax increases. "This is the right time to invest when we have historically low interest rates, investing now with a plan to pay for it," Biden said in a speech Thursday in Cleveland. "That is the fiscally responsible thing to do."

Think so?  There is no plan to pay for all this.  Biden's claim is delusional, -- or, simply disingenuous:

"The White House insists that in later years, when the country faces more daunting fiscal challenges, its budget proposals will actually help reduce the deficit."

Not surprisingly:

"The budget was cheered by many progressives. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, called it "the most significant agenda for working families in the modern history of our country" and pledged to try to help advance it."

Here's the problem:

"The Biden administration has downplayed concerns over inflation, projecting strong fiscal growth this year as the economy reopens after the pandemic but then relatively modest growth over time. It's a marked shift from Biden's predecessor: Former President Donald Trump was known for including unrealistic, inflated growth estimates in his budget."

Think that's really changed?

"Biden's budget also promises increases in tax revenue not seen in decades by raising taxes on corporations and the wealthy and increasing IRS tax enforcement. The budget projects that the federal government would nearly double the amount of money it brings in through taxes by 2031. Robert Bixby with the Concord Coalition, a group that advocates fiscal responsibility, said he appreciates that the administration is attempting to pay for its ambitious agenda, rather than merely running up more debt."

Truly think so?

"But it could be a hard promise to keep, he said. "The Republicans aren't going to go along, it seems, with any sort of tax increase at all," he said. "And so the Democrats are going to have to decide themselves, in their own party, how far they want to go with that commitment."

It's delusional.  To continue printing money to cover the debt is simply not sustainable.

The Republican Party refuses to hold the Trump nazi accountable for his treasonous incitement of the January 6 insurrection.  United Press International reports:

"GOP senators blocked the creation of a bipartisan commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol in a procedural vote Friday, ending the chance for a final vote on the legislation. Ten Republicans were needed to break a filibuster so the bill creating the commission could be considered for a final vote. Only six GOP senators voted to consider the legislation. The final vote was 54-35, falling short of the 60 votes needed. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and a group of Republican conservatives struck a deal to allow a Friday vote on the bill before senators left Washington for the Memorial Day recess. The procedural vote was needed to end the GOP filibuster. Schumer called the deal for a vote a "good solution" because senators would get to vote on the commission "in the light of day, not at 3 in the morning." Republicans voting to allow a final vote on the bill included Sens. Mitt Romney of Utah, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Ben Sasse of Nebraska and Rob Portman of Ohio. Schumer said Republican lawmakers voted against the commission because of "fear or fealty to Donald Trump." He said the Republican minority had prevented the Senate from even debating the bill. "This vote has made it official. Donald Trump's big lie has now fully enveloped the Republican party. Trump's big lie is now the defining principle of what was once the party of Lincoln," Schumer said. "Shame on the Republican party for trying to sweep the horrors of that day under the rug because they're afraid of Donald Trump," he added.

"Cassidy said in a statement that he voted to allow a vote on the commission because "the investigations will happen with or without Republicans. To ensure the investigations are fair, impartial and focused on facts, Republicans need to be involved," he said, as reported by CNN. He said the legislation ensured the GOP had equal power over the panel. Cassidy said he doesn't think a Democrat-run investigation in the House would evaluate the lack of adequate security during the Capitol riot. "Murkowski said the GOP leadership's opposition to the Jan. 6 commission is a purely political move by Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. "It would be appropriate to have further evaluation of what happened on Jan. 6, and who's responsible, and how we can prevent that from happening again." Romney said, according to CNN. The House-passed legislation would have created a 10-person panel to determine what happened on Jan. 6, including the Capitol Police's preparedness on that day and make recommendations to prevent future acts of violence against Congress. The Capitol riot left five people dead and about 140 officers injured."

Poor to no regulation ensures unlimited greed at the top of the food chain, impoverishment of the bottom and middle class.  CBS News reports:

"As COVID-19 ravaged the world last year, CEOs' big pay packages seemed to be under as much threat as everything else. Fortunately for those CEOs, many had boards of directors willing to see the pandemic as an extraordinary event beyond their control. Half of the 100 largest U.S. employers of low-wage workers adjusted their CEO pay packages last year, sweetening rewards for chief executives during the pandemic while cutting pay for average workers, according to a study by the Institute for Policy Studies. As a result, pay packages rose yet again last year for the CEOs of the biggest companies in America, even though the pandemic sent the economy to its worst quarter on record and slashed corporate profits around the world. The median pay package for a CEO at an S&P 500 company hit $12.7 million in 2020, according to data analyzed by Equilar for the Associated Press. That means half the CEOs in the survey made more, and half made less. It's 5% more than the median pay for that same group of CEOs in 2019 and an acceleration from the 4.1% climb in last year's survey.

"This should have been a year for shared sacrifice," said Sarah Anderson, who directs the global economy project at the left-leaning Institute for Policy Studies. "Instead it became a year of shielding CEOs from risk while it was the frontline employees who paid the price."

That's how unregulated or poorly regulated capitalism operates.  Not sustainable.  While capitalism is indeed the very best system to live under, if not properly regulated, -- the worst.

"Progressives in Washington, D.C., are pushing for rule changes to narrow the gap between CEOs and workers."

What took so long?

"Companies have to show how much more their CEO makes than their typical worker, and the median pay ratio in this year's survey was 172 times. That's up from 167 times for those same CEOs last year, and it means employees must work numerous lifetimes to make what their CEO does in just a year."

... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.  Too deaf to hear?  Or, too aggressively stupid.

Republicans doing all they can to eviscerate the First Amendment Freedom of Speech, -- to promulgate racism.  NPR reports:

"As Republican lawmakers across the country advance state bills that would limit how public school teachers can discuss race in their classrooms, educators say the efforts are already having a chilling effect on their lessons."

To support the racist ideology of GOP fascists.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"In recent weeks, Republican legislatures in roughly half a dozen states have either adopted or advanced bills purporting to take aim at the teaching of critical race theory, an academic approach that examines how race and racism function in law and society. Conservatives have made the teaching of critical race theory a rallying cry in the culture wars, calling it divisive and unpatriotic for forcing students to consider the influence of racism in situations where they might not see it otherwise."

That's called bullshit by the racist element in our country.

"In reality, the bills many Republicans have proposed do not directly address critical race theory. Instead, many ban the teaching of concepts that educators say they don't teach anyway."

Fascinating, isn't it?  Further indication of precisely how impoverished the GOP has become vis a vis principle.

"A bill signed into law by Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt bans lessons that include the concept that "one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex," that a person's "moral character is inherently determined by his or her race or sex," or that someone should feel discomfort, guilt or distress on account of their race or sex."

What are Republican national socialists so afraid of?  The truth?  Being exposed for the racists an increasing number of them continue to be exposed as?

Here's the problem:

"Nonetheless, educators say the newly adopted and proposed laws are already forcing teachers to second-guess whether they can lead students in conversations about race and structural racism that many feel are critical at a time the nation is navigating an important reckoning on those issues. In Oklahoma City, teacher Telannia Norfar said she and her colleagues at Northwest Classen High School had planned to discuss a schoolwide approach to help students understand current events – including the murder of George Floyd, family separation at the Mexico border and the use of racist terms such as the "China virus." "We need to do it, because our students desire it," she said. "But how do we do that without opening Oklahoma City public schools up to a lawsuit?" She said how and whether they'll do that is now unclear. Paula Lewis, chair of the Oklahoma City School Board, said though the state's new law bans teachers from discussing concepts they weren't discussing anyway, and though its penalties are not yet clear, the danger is the fear it instills. "What if they say the wrong thing?" Lewis said. "What if somebody in their class during the critical thinking brings up the word oppression or systemic racism? Are they in danger? Is their job in danger?"

Jesus Christ.  The First Amendment Freedom of Speech guaranties this right.  -- A right, GOP fascists are doing all they can to traitorously, treasonously eviscerate.

"This year, many teachers in Oklahoma are planning lessons on the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa Race Massacre, when hundreds of the city's Black residents were killed by white mobs. It's taken years for education officials to integrate the episode into state teaching standards. While the new law does not ban its teaching, Lewis said it is likely to limit how much teachers feel they can dive into conversations about topics such as structural racism and white supremacy before and since the massacre. Lewis acknowledged that in a conservative state such as Oklahoma, there are many parents – especially white ones – who support the idea of shielding their children from uncomfortable conversations about race. But she said that's why they're so important."

Goddamned right.  What are racist Republican fascists so afraid of?  The truth?

"Similar bills have been adopted or advanced in states including Idaho, North Carolina and Tennessee. In Texas, a bill that has passed both chambers of the Republican-controlled Legislature would impose restrictions similar to Oklahoma's, including banning public universities from requiring students to take diversity training. It would also require teachers who discuss ugly episodes in history, or controversial current events, to explore "contending perspectives without giving deference to any one perspective." That bill, H.B. 3979, was written by Republican Steve Toth, who often rails against critical race theory as anti-white, anti-Christian and anti-American. His office did not respond to an interview request."

How can this unabashed national socialist look himself in the mirror?  Clearly, he ignores the fact hundreds of thousands of our best and brightest died fighting this perverse ideology.  Second World War European Theater.

"Vida Robertson directs the Center for Critical Race Studies at the University of Houston-Downtown. He called Toth's bill "a concerted attempt by Republicans to stifle a widespread and overwhelming demand for racial equality and social justice in the United States by mischaracterizing critical race theory as some abhorrent plot to undermine America."

Expect better of a national socialist?

"He said it will give parents who are uncomfortable with the nation's ongoing racial reckoning a tool to go after teachers."

Clearly, the intention of the nazi element in our formerly great country.

"Meghan Dougherty, who helps public school teachers in Round Rock, Texas, develop social studies lessons plans, said Texas teachers already feel that pressure, including one of her colleagues who during the pandemic gave students a virtual lesson on race and prejudice in U.S. society. She said a father at home overheard a portion of it. "Then he wrote an email to the administration complaining that the teacher was accusing his child of being a racist when they were having a conversation about implicit bias and what implicit bias is and how it affects us," Dougherty said."

Jesus Christ.  What a crock of shit.  Pitiful.  Pathetic.  Un-American.  Racist nazi.

"She said the proposed bill makes it feel like the thought police are descending on Texas. She said she knows teachers who are already self-censoring. They're "afraid to speak out on issues because they feel there are going to be repercussions from their districts," she said. Paul Kleiman, a high school history teacher in Round Rock, said he's concerned about the provision in Texas' bill that would require him to teach all sides of current events and ugly chapters in history without giving any side deference. He asked how he would do that when teaching subjects such as the Holocaust, or the civil rights movement. "Does the state of Texas want me to stand up and spend class time saying, well, let's look at all sides of this topic?" Kleiman said. "I don't think that's what the state of Texas wants. But that's what this bill does."

A raucous boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Seig Heil! to the nazi element in the Republican Party.  When did you lose yourselves?

NPR reports:

"Last month, Republican lawmakers decried critical race theory, an academic approach that examines how race and racism function in American institutions. "Folks, we're in a cultural warfare today," Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., said at a news conference alongside six other members of the all-Republican House Freedom Caucus. "Critical race theory asserts that people with white skin are inherently racist, not because of their actions, words or what they actually believe in their heart — but by virtue of the color of their skin." Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., added: "Democrats want to teach our children to hate each other."

Nonsense.  No more than Republicans denying their history of abject racism.  Sad, isn't it?  Yet, Democrats remain incapable of effectively fighting this increasing GOP abject insanity, egregious distortion of reality.

"Republicans, who are fighting the teaching of critical race theory in schools, contend it divides Americans. Democrats and their allies maintain that progress is unlikely without examining the root causes of disparity in the country. The issue is shaping up to be a major cultural battle ahead of next year's midterm elections."

It is a battle Republicans will ultimately lose.  The problem remains one of current Democratic inability to effectively counter this racist bullshit embraced by the GOP courtesy of its fuhrer, the racist Trump nazi.

"Academics, particularly legal scholars, have studied critical race theory for decades. But its main entry into the partisan fray came in 2020, when former President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning federal contractors from conducting certain racial sensitivity trainings. It was challenged in court, and President Biden rescinded the order the day he took office. Since then, the issue has taken hold as a rallying cry among some Republican lawmakers who argue the approach unfairly forces students to consider race and racism."

That's just bullshit.  No more, no less.  Inability of Republicans to confront their bigotry, racism, belief in White supremacy:

"Andrew Hartman, a history professor at Illinois State University, described the battle over critical race theory as typical of the culture wars, where "the issue itself is not always the thing driving the controversy." "I'm not really sure that the conservatives right now know what it is or know its history," said Hartman, author of A War for the Soul of America: A History of the Culture Wars. He said critical race theory posits that racism is endemic to American society through history and that, consequently, Americans have to think about institutions like the justice system or schools through the perspective of race and racism. However, he said, "conservatives, since the 1960s, have increasingly defined American society as a colorblind society, in the sense that maybe there were some problems in the past but American society corrected itself and now we have these laws and institutions that are meritocratic and anybody, regardless of race, can achieve the American dream." Confronted by the Black Lives Matter protests of last summer, as well as the Pulitzer Prize-winning 1619 curriculum, which roots American history in its racist past, Hartman said many Americans want simple answers. "And so critical race theory becomes a stand-in for this larger anxiety about people being upset about persistent racism," he said."

Interesting take.  Certainly, truth in it.  However, far more complicated than just that.  Worse?  It's become an exigent threat to the First Amendment Freedom of Speech:

"States such as Idaho and Oklahoma have adopted laws that limit how public school teachers can talk about race in the classroom, and Republican legislatures in nearly half a dozen states have advanced similar bills that target teachings that some educators say they don't teach anyway. There's movement on the national level too. Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., has introduced the Combating Racist Training in the Military Act, a bill that would prohibit the armed forces and academics at the Defense Department from promoting "anti-American and racist theories," which, according to the bill's text, includes critical race theory. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., said critical race theory "brings division" and "advances hate" during a news conference on Capitol Hill on May 12."

Nothing more than racist nazis in the Republican Party doing all they can to deny their bigotry, perverse ideology based on nazism:

"Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., said he is co-sponsoring legislation that would prevent federal dollars from being spent on critical race theory in schools or government offices. "The ideas behind critical race theory and [its] implementation is creating this oppressor-oppressed divide amongst our people," Donalds told NPR. "And so no matter how you feel about the history of our country — as a Black man, I think our history has actually been quite awful, I mean, that's without question — but you also have to take into account the progression of our country, especially over the last 60 to 70 years."

Simply, not true.  Hopelessly, delusional.  In fact, we've gone backwards since the McCarthy Era of the early 50s, courtesy of the nazi element in the Republican Party.

"Donalds said the country's history, including its ills, should be taught, but that critical race theory causes more problems than solutions."

That's called double talk.  Abject bullshit.  Delusional inability of this individual to acknowledge reality.

More clueless bullshit:

"It only causes more divisions, which doesn't help our union become the more perfect union," he said."

Wake up.  Unless we face the reality of racism, bigotry, and embrace of national socialism by the nazi element in our formerly great country, there will be no union.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.

"A post-racial country? Nearly half of the speakers at the Republican news conference in May invoked Martin Luther King Jr., expressing their desire to be judged "by the content of their character, not the color of their skin." But Eduardo Bonilla-Silva, a sociology professor at Duke University, said King's dream was about the future. "He didn't say, 'We are now in a colorblind society,' " he said."

Amazing how racist Republican fascists pick and choose their quotes from a civil rights icon who gave his life for his principles.  When will racist GOP fascists do the same?  That is, find themselves and recover, re-embrace the ideology of Republican icon Abraham Lincoln?

"Bonilla-Silva, whose book Racism Without Racists critiques the notion that America is now "colorblind," says he too shares King's dream, "but in order for us to get to the promised land of colorblindness, we have to go through race. It's the opposite of what these folks are arguing."

That's exactly right.  Republicans remain determinedly clueless.

"He says the idea that American society is post-racial is nonsense."

Also, quite true.

"We are not, because we watched the video of George Floyd, and we are not because we have the data on income inequality, on wealth inequality, on housing inequality," he said. As an example, Bonilla-Silva noted the opposition of whites to affirmative action in the post-civil rights era. "Many whites said things such as, 'I'm not a racist. I believe in equal opportunity, which is why I oppose affirmative action, because affirmative action is discrimination in reverse,' " he noted. "That statement only works if one believes that discrimination has ended," he added. "But because it has not ended, claiming that you oppose affirmative action because it's presumably discrimination in reverse ends up justifying the racial status quo and the inequalities."

Precisely, the determined intention of racist nazis in the Republican Party.  Exactly, why the Party is failing, doomed to extinction if things don't change.

Texas Republicans to eviscerate voting rights, severely suppress the vote.  Raw nazism.  The Washington Post reports:

"Texas Republicans finalize bill that would enact stiff new voting restrictions and make it easier to overturn election results."

Traitorous, treasonous attack on what is supposed to be a democratic republic, -- not a de facto fascist police-state.

"The Texas legislature on Saturday moved closer to enacting dozens of new restrictions on the voting process, as Republican lawmakers reached a deal that imposes a raft of hurdles on casting ballots by mail and enhances civil and criminal penalties for election administrators, voters and those seeking to assist them. The measure would make it illegal for election officials to send out unsolicited mail ballot applications, empower partisan poll watchers and ban practices such as drop boxes and drive-through voting that were popularized in heavily Democratic Harris County last year, according to a final draft distributed by legislative staff to voting right advocates Saturday morning. In a last-minute addition, language was inserted in the bill making it easier to overturn an election, no longer requiring evidence that fraud actually altered an outcome of a race — but rather only that enough ballots were illegally cast that could have made a difference. The final draft of Senate Bill 7 was filed Saturday morning, after being mired for days in protracted negotiations between the state House and Senate. The measure bucks the entreaties of civil rights leaders and business executives who sought to head off legislation they say will suppress voter participation and disenfranchise voters of color. But GOP lawmakers pushed forward, saying it was necessary to shore up voter trust, even as they struggled to justify the need for stricter rules in the state, where officials said the 2020 election was secure."

Clearly, we remain no more than a democratic republic in name only.

"The legislation is the latest example of how state officials have rushed to align themselves with former president Donald Trump’s false claims that lax voting rules undermined the integrity of the 2020 presidential election. GOP lawmakers in dozens of states are pushing new voting measures in the name of election security, under intense pressure from supporters who echo Trump’s false claims of rampant fraud. States including Florida, Georgia, Iowa and Montana have passed measures that curtail voting access, imposing new restrictions on mail voting, the use of drop boxes and the ability to offer voters food or water while they wait in long lines."

... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms as our formerly great country continues to nazify.

"The Texas legislation is now headed to the House and Senate chambers for final approval this weekend. Gov. Greg Abbott (R), an ardent Trump supporter and potential 2024 presidential contender who threatened lawmakers with a special session if they did not pass a voting bill this week, is expected to sign it soon. The bill is among a number of controversial measures the Texas legislature has focused on in its final hours before adjourning on Monday, including a restriction on how teachers may discuss the nation’s history of racism in the classroom. Voting rights groups have pledged to move quickly to challenge the law in court, and President Biden condemned the measure Saturday, calling on Congress to move forward on federal voting legislation that would override many of the provisions being passed in GOP-controlled states. The Texas measure is “part of an assault on democracy that we’ve seen far too often this year—and often disproportionately targeting Black and Brown Americans,” the president said in a statement. “It’s wrong and un-American. In the 21st century, we should be making it easier, not harder, for every eligible voter to vote.”

Republicans clearly, delusionally believe they cannot win an election without voter suppression.

"The two lead proponents of the Texas voting legislation, Republicans Rep. Briscoe Cain and Sen. Bryan Hughes, announced late Friday that they had reached a compromise between the Senate’s original omnibus voting proposal and the House’s less restrictive version. “Senate Bill 7 is one of the most comprehensive and sensible election reform bills in Texas history,” Cain and Hughes said in a statement issued Friday evening. “There is nothing more foundational to this democracy and our state than the integrity of our elections.”

Where's the fraud?  Clearly, these two Republican nazis are insane.  Traitorously goose step along with their fuhrer, the Trump nazi.

"As of Saturday midday, the final version was not yet published on the Texas legislature’s website. The 67-page draft distributed by House and Senate staff declares as its purpose “to reduce the likelihood of fraud in the conduct of elections, protect the secrecy of the ballot, promote voter access, and ensure that all legally cast ballots are counted.”

These GOP nazis are liars.  Fraud is not, and has not, been an issue anywhere in our formerly great country.  These traitors have bought the Trump nazi's lies.

"The bill would broadly prohibit local election officials from altering election procedures without express legislative permission — a direct hit against Harris County, home of Houston, where election officials implemented various expansions last year to help voters cast ballots during the pandemic. It also specifically targets some of those expansions, explicitly banning drive-through voting locations, temporary polling places in tents and 24-hour or late-night voting marathons."

All traitorously designed to suppress the vote.

"The proposed new voting hurdles come after the state logged record turnout in the 2020 election, including huge surges in early voting in cities including Austin and Houston. Voting rights advocates say that is exactly what the GOP is aiming to prevent with new laws."

No question.  A deliberate, traitorous attempt to suppress the vote, abrogate the U.S. Constitution.

“Senate Bill 7 is a ruthless piece of legislation,” said Sarah Labowitz, policy and advocacy director for the ACLU of Texas. “It targets voters of color and voters with disabilities, in a state that’s already the most difficult place to vote in the country.” Advocates said the measure is likely to disproportionately affect Texans of color, noting that an analysis by the Texas Civil Rights Project showed that after-hours voting was used predominantly by Black and Latino voters. “The choice to push this legislation forward in the dark, despite overwhelming opposition from the people of Texas, is about the politicians in power doing everything they can to manipulate the outcome of future elections to keep themselves in power,” said Anthony Gutierrez, executive director of Common Cause Texas."

No question.  These fascist bastards are traitors.  Have deliberately abrogated their oaths of office to uphold the U.S. Constitution.

"During debate in the House earlier this month, Cain maintained that he was not backing a voter “suppression” bill but rather a voting “enhancement” bill, insisting that the measure was designed to protect “all voters.”

Like his fuhrer the Trump nazi, this fascist bastard is a congenital liar.

"According to the final draft, the Texas bill would:

 Impose state felony penalties on public officials who offer an application to vote by mail to someone who didn’t request it;

 Allow signatures on mail ballot applications to be compared to any signature on record, eliminating protections that the signature on file must be recent and that the application signature must be compared to at least two others on file to prevent the arbitrary rejection of ballots;

 Impose new identification requirements on those applying for mail ballots, in most cases requiring a driver’s license or Social Security number;

Impose a civil fine of $1,000 a day for local election officials who do not maintain their voter rolls as required by law, and impose criminal penalties on election workers who obstruct poll watchers.

Grant partisan poll watchers new access to watch all steps of the voting and counting process “near enough to see and hear the activity;”

And require individuals to fill out a form if they plan to transport more than two non-relatives to the polls, and expand the requirement that those assisting voters who need help must sign an oath attesting under penalty of perjury that the person they’re helping is eligible for assistance because of a disability and that they will not suggest whom to vote for."

Get this:

"Some of the language seems intended to signal a tough stance on election fraud without actually changing existing law. One sentence bans straight-ticket voting — already illegal in Texas. Another declares criminal penalties for altering ballots or vote counts, also already illegal. And several provisions seem aimed at false claims that voting equipment was hacked or flipped votes in last year’s election. One requires all electronic voting equipment to record all activity, which it already does; another prohibits the use of voting equipment with the capacity to connect to the Internet — also already the case. The measure does include slightly more required hours of early voting than current law, but it also caps early voting hours in ways that will reduce hours in many large counties. It contains some new voter protections, including a guarantee that voters standing in line at the time that a polling location closes may vote and a requirement that partisan poll watchers take an oath not to harass or disrupt voting. It would also require all counties to provide video surveillance of vote tabulation — and to live-stream it in large counties."

The public and the business community clearly believe this is no more than voter suppression:

"More than 100 Houston business owners and community leaders joined in a statement earlier this month expressing concern that proposed state election measures could suppress voter participation and “damage our competitiveness in attracting businesses and workers.” A coalition of major corporations and business groups released another statement opposing changes to voting laws that would restrict access to the polls."

The nazi element in the Republican Party intends to proceed no matter what:

"But Texas Republicans acted quickly to head off the pushback, which mirrored a similar stance by major businesses in Georgia when that state approved its own new voting law in April. After Major League Baseball announced plans to pull its All-Star Game from Atlanta in the wake of the new Georgia measure, Abbott angrily declined to throw the first pitch at the Texas Rangers’ home opener, accusing the league of buying into a “false narrative.” Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) responded to an early trickle of corporate statements denouncing the proposals under consideration in Austin by calling the critics, including Texas-based American Airlines and Dell Technologies, “a nest of liars.”

Clearly, Abbott and Patrick have insanely bought the narrative of the congenital liar Trump nazi.  What does it make them?

"And Cain, the chief House sponsor of one of the voting bills this year, proposed financial penalties against entities that publicly threaten “any adverse action against this state” in protest of election legislation."

Clearly, the Cain fascist does not believe in the First Amendment Freedom of Speech.  What does that make him?

"The outcome has tested the resolve of corporations that dipped into the national fight over voting and now are caught between liberal activists demanding action and Republicans who control economic policy in red states. And it could dampen corporate enthusiasm to weigh in on two federal voting bills that Republicans oppose: the For the People Act, which would establish national standards for election administration, and the reauthorization of the Voting Rights Act."

All the more reason our formerly great country seems to be headed for the unthinkable.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.  Too deaf to hear?  Or, too aggressively stupid.

The Washington Post reports:

"After a dramatic all-night debate, the Texas Senate approved one of the most restrictive voting bills in the country early Sunday on a party-line vote, despite emotional pleas from Democrats who likened the measure to the Jim Crow laws of the 20th century that effectively barred Black Americans from voting in Southern states. The Republican-majority House is scheduled to take up the measure later Sunday; if it passes, Gov. Greg Abbott (R) is widely expected to sign it quickly. Republicans barreled forward with the bill and hashed out a final version behind closed doors late last week, over the objections of civil rights leaders and business executives, who said the measure targets voters of color. President Biden on Saturday called it “wrong and un-American,” and Democrats vowed to immediately challenge it in court. “Every American needs to be watching what’s happening in Texas right now,” Rep. Colin Allred (D-Tex.) said Sunday. “And we have to have a federal response to this because this has gone way too far.” “This isn’t legislation,” he added. “This is discrimination.”

Raw nazism.

The Washington Post reports:

"Texas Democrats staged a dramatic walkout in the state House late Sunday night to block passage of a restrictive voting bill that would have been one of the most stringent in the nation, forcing Republicans to abruptly adjourn without taking a vote on the measure. The surprise move came after impassioned late-night debate and procedural objections about the GOP-backed legislation, which would have made it harder to vote by mail, empowered partisan poll watchers and made it easier to overturn election results. Republicans faced a midnight deadline to approve the measure. Gov. Greg Abbott (R) tweeted that he would add the bill to a special session he plans to call later this year to address legislative redistricting. “Legislators will be expected to have worked out the details when they arrive at the Capitol for the special session,” he wrote. But it was an unmistakable defeat for the governor and fellow Republicans, who had crafted one of the most far-reaching voting bills in the country — pushing restrictions championed by former president Donald Trump, who has falsely claimed that his defeat in the 2020 election was tainted by fraud."

No evidence of that.  None.

"The exodus from the floor came after Chris Turner, the House Democratic chairman, sent instructions to colleagues at 10:35 p.m. Central time instructing them to exit the House, according to an image shared with The Washington Post. “Members, take your key and leave the chamber discreetly,” Turner wrote, referring to the key that locks the voting mechanism on their desks. “Do not go to the gallery. Leave the building.” “We decided to come together and say we weren’t going to take it,” state Rep. Jessica González (D) said in an interview after the walkout, adding that she objected to the measure’s content and the way it was crafted with no input from her side of the aisle. “We needed to be part of the process. Cutting us out completely — I mean, this law will affect every single voter in Texas.” The Republican-majority House took up the legislation after the Senate passed it early Sunday following a marathon overnight debate that stretched more than seven hours. The measure mirrors other GOP-backed legislation approved in Georgia, Florida and other states. In a statement, Turner said that dozens of House Democrats were prepared to give speeches objecting to the bill, but that “it became obvious Republicans were going to cut off debate to ram through their vote suppression legislation. At that point, we had no choice but to take extraordinary measures to protect our constituents and their right to vote.” After the walkout, House Democrats assembled at a predominantly Black church in Austin, Mt. Zion Fellowship Hall, to speak to reporters. Staff members said leaders chose the location to highlight the party’s successful fight against a bill they said would have targeted voters of color in particular. “We remain vigilant against any attempt to bring back this racist bill in a special session,” Sarah Labowitz, policy and advocacy director for the ACLU of Texas, said in a statement."

NBC News reports:

"Democrats vowed to continue to fight a Texas bill that would put new restrictions on voting as the state’s Republican governor threatened to cut off funding for the Legislature if they do so. “I will veto Article 10 of the budget passed by the legislature. Article 10 funds the legislative branch,” Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted Monday. “No pay for those who abandon their responsibilities. Stay tuned.”

F--k the Governor.  Democrats need to stand up.  Take no shit.  Bring all action in the Legislature to a halt during the special session.  Regarding a halt in pay, truly think Republicans in the Legislature will put up with that?  Abbott is clearly talking out his ass.

"The threat to lawmakers came after Texas Democrats on Sunday night used every parliamentary tool at their disposal to stop the bill, ultimately staging a walkout to prevent a vote from being held before a midnight deadline. Republican Gov. Greg Abbott said that the bill would be added to a special session agenda in an attempt to get it passed. Abbott did not announce a date for the special session. Texas state Rep. Chris Turner, chair of the House Democratic Caucus, said he and his colleagues in the state House will continue their fight, but called on Congress to pass legislation on the national level that would provide voting protections."

No question.

“We're gonna fight him every step of the way, we're gonna fight Republicans every step of the way and we're gonna do whatever it takes to continue to stop, slow down, and mitigate this legislation.” Turner told CNN on Monday. Democrats across the country threw their support behind efforts to block the bill as Texas shapes up to be the next battleground over voting rights. President Joe Biden said over the weekend that the bill was an "assault on Democracy." “Congratulations to the Texas Democrats, activists and advocates for protecting the freedom to vote until the very last hour to defeat the Jim Crow 2.0 bill #SB7. This is what happens when we fight,” tweeted Stacey Abrams, a former Georgia Democratic gubernatorial nominee, who has been leading the push for voting access in her state."

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor?  Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
