Getting online has gotten increasingly difficult and expensive last four months.  Worse, access is outside since most establishments are closed or limited to drive-thru operations.  Lap tops are not designed to be used in such an environment.  Extremely difficult to see the screen.  Time for the readership to step up and provide assistance.  TC 7-24-20

In response to the pandemic, government quickly imposed draconian restrictions making access to public wifi exceptionally difficult.  Consequently, editions of this publication will be briefer and posted as regularly as possible until circumstances change.  TC 3-20-20

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable.  Time to step up.  Now.

Brother dearest.  ... Been awhile, hasn't it, Bro?  A little antsy?  Wondering when the next shoe is about to fall, that is, when you'll be fully exposed for the thieving son of a bitch you truly are?  Patience.  All in good time, good buddy.  When I'm damned good and ready.  Timing just right.  After all, a son of a bitch who's stolen his father's estate needs to be fully exposed publicly for whom and what he is, don't you think?  Indeed, a public service for your neighbors, professional associates, family, and friends, etc..

Conveniently, forget?  Others need to protect themselves against a fraud who masquerades as both a teacher and a counselor, no?  -- How the hell did you ever pass an MMPI some forty years ago to get hired?  You're not stable.  Have not been.  ... Must have really been pissed off at the old man to rip off an estate, no?  How much did you steal while he was alive and supposedly under your care?

How much did you bribe law enforcement to ignore a complaint I filed with them years before the old man died?  How much did you bribe the prosecutor to ignore a complaint filed with her several years ago?  How much?  Use the old man's money to bribe the bitch?  Her cohorts?  Your law enforcement shysters?  While there may indeed be no justice from a corrupt system, fortunately, I do have a way to publicly expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.

... Unlike our grandmother who scrubbed floors on her hands and knees during the Depression for peanuts, only to have what little she had stolen by her son, our uncle, another goddamned thieving son of a bitch just like you.  Remember how, surprise, surprise, there was no life insurance when our grandfather died?  Despite the fact our grandmother gave her thieving bastard son premium money year after goddamned year?  Only, as the thieving son of a bitch he truly was, to have pocketed it.  Again, just like you.

Remember when he booted her out of the house she had bought him when he had had enough of her?  -- Despite the fact he had lied and promised she could stay the rest of her life?  She had to climb two flights of stairs on an ulcerated leg to get to a bathroom he had never built for her at ground level as falsely promised.   Nothing ever happened to the thieving son of a bitch as far as justice was concerned.  Worse, he was never exposed publicly for the thieving son of a bitch he truly was.

Will be different for you, Bro.  While you've bought off authorities, you will be publicly exposed.  In great detail.  In good time.  When I'm damned good and ready.  When exposure will do the maximum figurative damage to your goddamned sordid reputation.  -- Just the truth, brother dearest, however.  Just the truth.

Irony of ironies?  When the thieving son of a bitch died, and our mother was finally informed he had passed, she cried for her brother, -- the bastard thief who stole from her mother.  Sad, isn't it?  Too bad she's not still alive to see you publicly exposed for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you, yourself, truly are.  As was he.  Not in a court of law you've bought off, however.  Right here.

In good time.  Again, when I'm damned good and ready.  Employing the very same tactics used against Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo.  -- On steroids, however, since all dirty family laundry will be aired.  All of it.  No threat.  A promise.  Emails sent to your neighbors, friends, professional associates, businesses you deal with.  Although an enormous amount of work, all doable courtesy of the Internet.  Despite being some 1,800 miles away.  -- Small world, isn't it, Bro?  Enjoy the stolen loot, you son of a bitch.  Forget?  It's all you have.

Brother dearest.  Save all the check stubs from the old man's accounts?  Fraudulently sign any of them yourself?  Think this material couldn't be obtained from the banks either through discovery or a criminal investigation?  Still own the house on Condict Rd.?   Any other properties besides this one and the old man's you stole with the help of your shyster bastard? Be interesting to see how far your assets extend and where.  Think all that information isn't accessible?  That I won't determinedly obtain it?

That not only an extensive Internet search will be conducted that will likely take months to complete?  But an extensive background check as well?  Think the Catholic high school you attended shouldn't be informed of the thievery of one of its graduates?  Think the clerics there would be appalled at their failure to teach you right from wrong?  How about both universities?  Think neighbors in the old man's neighborhood won't be informed of your deception?  Think they don't have a right to know?

Ever follow the advice of Dr. Bert Wiser, psychological statistics professor at MSU?  That is, get treatment for your achingly debilitating instability?  Is that why you wound up looting the old man?  Or, is it simply a convenient excuse you'll use to defend the indefensible?  Think this will end any time soon?  That is, public exposure of you as a thieving son of a bitch?  We're just getting started, Bro.  Just getting started.

Don't like it?  Tough shit.  Sue me you thieving son of a bitch.  Would use discovery to learn and post on this website all there is to know about you, your activities, predilections, business 'deals,' as well as all your financial transactions, etc..  All of it.  Would certainly avoid the expense of an extensive background check on you, thieving brother dearest.

Even if you were successful in court, there is nothing for you to take, this remains, as well, a homesteading state where minimal assets are protected anyway.  This site is hosted in an overseas country that doesn't particularly like government intrusion, remains not prone to cooperate.  Besides, can always upload to another webhost in still yet another country.  The possibilities are endless, Bro.  Just takes willingness, effort, unshakable determination.

Even if I lost it all would be more than worth it to expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.  Even if you bribed a goddamned nazi 'judge' to remove posted material, would not cooperate and be more than willing to rot in jail.  Would certainly keep reposting it all no matter the cost and/or personal consequences every time it was taken down.  Forget, you thieving son of a bitch?  I never ever give up.

Since all I seek is your exposure for the thief you truly are, would all be worth it.  For the sake of principle.  All the work, financial cost, as well as the time I am about to dedicate to this effort, you deceptive, unstable, sick, thieving son of a bitch.  Unlike you, I live on principle and have absolutely nothing to lose.  You do.  Will certainly take great pleasure and satisfaction in doing all I can to publicly expose you for whom and what you are.

To say nothing of placing enormous pressure on prosecutors you and your equally corrupt shyster son of a bitch apparently bribed.  Don't like it?  Again, tough shit. Chew harder.  The public needs to know to protect itself.  From you and your shyster bastard.  People who live and travel in your circles as well.  Including his.  As a thief, you and he can't be trusted by anyone.  You'll determinedly f--k them.

More than willing to provide this truly public service.  People certainly need to know whom and what you are.  What you have sadly become.  You certainly weren't brought up to be a thieving son of a bitch.  What happened?  Where did you lose yourself, Bro?  -- Never mind.  ... Truly doesn't matter.  Only your exposure.

TC 4-22-16

Hey, Bro?  Remember me?  How soon they conveniently forget.  ... Half asleep? -- Out to lunch?  ... In your own perverse little world?  That of a criminal?  Wake up.  Conveniently, gutlessly forget?  Insanely believe you're someway, somehow off the hook?  Think again.  We're not done.  You remain a thief who will be exposed for whom and what your are.  What you certainly have become.  No question about that.  Patience, you thieving son of a bitch.  Exposure is coming.  Promise.

Think I don't have time?  Truly believe the ongoing Presidential fiasco ends no matter who wins?  The murderous decay in law enforcement gets resolved any time soon?  Criminal Wells Fargo employees from local Kingsland bank manager Amanda S. Wright right up to and including CEO John Stumpf get prosecuted in the near future despite egregious criminal activity?  Wouldn't hold my breath, would you?

Think I don't have time to handle all this and your public exposure for the estate-stealing criminal son of a bitch you've truly become?  How could you steal from the old bastard, you incredibly sad sack of shit?  Certainly weren't brought up to be a thief.  What happened to you?  Where'd you lose yourself?

No question, 2017 will be a most remarkable, defining year for you, Bro.  Public exposure for the thieving piece of shit you've sadly become.  It's on the way. Promise.  Hope you sue.  Nothing for you to take.  Tough, isn't it?  Certainly, makes me judgment proof.  Will certainly, as well, take advantage of discovery.  Publish every detail I can get my hands on.  No matter the consequences.  Only consideration?  Prime directive?  Your exposure for whom and what you are.

Readers?  This not-so-brotherly piece of shit stole from our father.  Manipulated the old man to line his pockets.  Just like our uncle on my mother's side of the family did to my grandmother.  Runs in the family.  Our family.   ... Right, Bro?  This game now gets played my way, -- not yours, you son of a bitch.  That is, no more U.S. Mail tag.

Anything sent by mail will be refused, returned unopened.  Want contact?  Email.  libertyinperil@riseup.net.  Quick.  Easy.  Better yet?  A digital record.  Permanent.  Easily accessible.  Easily uploaded to this site when and if it becomes necessary.  The shyster bastard you hired to steal the estate shouldn't expect escape, either, from public exposure as the thieving piece of shit he, like you, truly both are.  Unscrupulous thieves.

Sincerely hope that piece of crap sues as well.  Nothing to take.  Discovery again would be published no matter the personal cost.  Nothing quite like public exposure, is there?  Especially, when it is nothing but the truth and there is absolutely nothing to lose exposing two pieces of criminal shit for whom and what they are.  Two pieces of gutless human excrement who looted an old man.  ... Right, Bro?

There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers.  Glaring sunlight.  Dazzling brilliance.  Amazing how the roaches run for cover.  Equally pointedly, how vermin on two legs manage to so easily prey on the elderly courtesy of the out of control fascist police-state we now live in.  While there'll never be any justice vis a vis this theft, there will be exposure to the brilliant light of day for both criminal perpetrators.  Count on it, you not-so-brotherly criminal son of a bitch.

TC 10-7-16

Hey, Bro?  Hear of Old Sturbridge Village?  Haven't?  ... Not lying, are you, you thieving son of a bitch?  You and your long-term companion EC conspire, bequeath some of the old man's loot to this museum?  An achingly stingy gift of $250-$499, -- considering the size of the estate?  The CEO and Board have any idea you stole it?  Think they'd care?  -- Just getting started, dearest, dearest Bro.  ... Delusionally believe I haven't more than enough time, resources, determination to expose you for the thieving piece of crap you truly are?  ... Under $500 back in 2013?  Remarkably parsimonious with stolen money aren't you?   What does it feel like to have gutlessly ripped off an incompetent old man?  -- Dear old Dad.  Certainly, look forward to digging much deeper into how you and your shyster lawyer managed to bamboozle and loot the old bastard.  Back in the day, certainly wouldn't have fallen for your bullshit.  Would have kicked your worthless, thieving ass out the door.  Intend to expose it to the light of day.  Indeed, a public service. Seatbelts on, you thieving son of a bitch. Tally ho!

TC 3-24-17

... Brief aside, dear readers, for a most exceptional reason.  -- Although infrequent, pressing ongoing personal business must come first on rare occasion.  Hope you agree, moreover, find it entertaining, -- as this writer did crafting what follows.  Principle trumps all.  Remains prime mover, prime directive no matter what.

This pressing issue involves a family thief. A heartless predator preying on the elderly who must be held accountable, exposed to the light of day.  Especially, since authorities failed to do their job.  The following is part of that continuing effort to expose this piece of shit for whom and what he is:

Hey, Bro?  Guess what?  Me, again.  Most determined pain in the ass.  Miss me?  An inconvenient, nagging hemorrhoid that simply won't go away no matter what.  -- A pile with a smile that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

... Delusionally think this most persistent nemesis of yours conveniently disappeared to parts unknown, vanished in thin air? To give a turd a break?  Wake up.  Not a chance, you thieving son of a bitch.  ... When you insanely believe this writer's gone and you're finally in the clear, guess what, here I am, right in your face.

Despite what's going on across our formerly great country, always have more than enough time for personal business.  That is, exposing you, Bro, to the glaring light of day.  A pathetically greedy predator.  Your target, who else, the elderly.  Most defenseless, vulnerable, an easy fleece.  -- Thought you'd steal from the surly old curmudgeon with impunity, no consequences?

Successfully escape accountability? Avoid detection, all responsibility?  Blatant theft of an old man's estate?  A little help from a bought and paid for hopelessly greedy unprincipled shyster?  Supposed cake walk due to 1800 miles separation?  No one to hold you accountable?  Your feet to the fire?  What could you possibly been thinking?

You've read this publication before.  Know precisely who and what I am, what I do.  Never give up.  Never say die.  Ignore all obstacles.  Know full well Liberty In Peril modus operandi remains as relentlessly ferocious, blindingly intense as ever.

No punches pulled.  No slack.  No personal consideration.  Certainly, not for a gutless son of a bitch, no more than a thieving predator.  Looted target, guess who, dear old dad.  Pitiful.  Delusionally believe you had the booty coming?  An entitlement?  For having had to put up with his shit all those years?  Wake up.

Hear of Historic Deerfield?  Of course, you have, you lying son of a bitch.  Forget?  You're one of their not-so-generous 'benefactors.'  ... With all the money stolen from our father's estate, only bequeath them a piss poor $40 bucks?

Unbelievable.  An achingly tight, cheap, thieving, worthless piece of duplicitous crap.  ... Write-off?  Negligible.  ... Feather  in the cap?  How?  Delusionally believe your treachery would never see the light of day?  What planet do you live on?

Board of Trustees Chair Anne K. Groves know full well you looted the estate?  How about President Philip Zea?  Think both don't have a right to know?  How about Anne Lanning, Vice President For Museum Affairs?  To say nothing of Susan Martinelli, Vice President For Business Affairs?

These officials are entitled to know precisely whom they're doing business with.  A thief.  Gutless phony.  Blow-hard fraud.  Hoity-toity dandy.  Worse?  An unprincipled thief who stole from his father.  ... Glaring light of day sucks, doesn't it, Bro?  No escaping the unvarnished truth, this most bitter reality.  Not a chance.

Saddest of all?  Back in the day, Hell would have frozen over before anyone would have have been able to rip off the craggy old bastard.  Remember quite well how intent, determined he was not to be fleeced late in life by a sick son of a bitch like you.

A leech.  Ironic, isn't it?  Gutless rip off of an old man who couldn't adequately handle his affairs any longer.  How do you sleep nights?

Fraud runs in the family, clearly.  History repeating itself.  Right in the footsteps of our grandmother's son, who callously ripped off his mother decades ago.  Again, another achingly pathetic piece of human excrement.  Just like you.  Intend to lay it bare.  Methodically.  Painstakingly. In great detail.  Living, breathing color.

For all to see.  A public service.  Exposure of the criminal piece of human excrement you truly are.  For sustained public review.  A goddamned thief.  Pissed? Chagrined?  Nonplused?  Tough shit.  Sue.  Would certainly immediately post all discovery no matter the consequences.

All snail mail will be returned unopened.  No phone tag.  Got something to say? Email.  Say it right here.  On this website.  In public.  For the world to see.  Will be posted in its entirety.  No editing.  Unlike you, this writer doesn't lie, cheat, steal.  Honors his word.  Intend to expose you precisely for whom and what you are.

Duplicitous predator who preyed on his own father.  Blinding exposure to benefit the community.  Have nothing to lose providing this public service, but you do.  No better disinfectant than sunshine.

.. Think the old bastard not spinning in his grave?  -- Old lady not doing the same?  One thing for certain.  Neither brought you up to be a goddamned thief.  Yet, here we are.  ... Until next time, Tally Ho!

5-25-18

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Tim Chorney, Publisher
Liberty In Peril

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Two hundred sixty six weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Two hundred sixty six weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Two hundred sixty six weeks.   Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded.  An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

7-3-20

Last three months been getting online at the Kingsland HEB.  Met quite a few readers at the picnic table.  -- People I didn't personally know, but who came up and introduced themselves.  Certainly, grateful for your concern, caring, and moral support.  One of the Front End managers, Kevin, had granted permission to plug in and access HEB Customer wifi at the picnic table some three months ago.  Someone in County government must have subsequently complained. Three months after the fact.  LOL.  Finally got the boot 6-27-20 from the achingly gutless Store Manager who couldn't, or wouldn't stand up to pressure from this asshole.

Pathetic, isn't it?  LOL.  Certainly, knew it was coming.  Hard to believe it took three months.  LOL.  Apparently, the gutless Store Manager, Monty, sent out the second in command, Dan, to deliver the happy news.  Spoke to him awhile, but sadly as expected, he had nothing substantive to say.  Other than, "leave."  LOL.  Advised him to send out the clearly reluctant Store Manager who apparently wanted to avoid the encounter.  Finally, came out.  Imagine that.

Asked the Store Manager, Monty Young, for a business card.  Remarkably, he had none.  Couldn't be, could it?  LOL.  An HEB Store Manager with no business card?  How is that possible?  Unlimited corporate greed?  Aryan arrogance of a privately-owned corporation?  Or, was he simply lying?  Informed him he'd indeed be front and center in this next edition.

Before getting into specific detail vis a vis my conversation with the Store Manager, it must be stated staff at the Kingsland HEB is second to none.  Have known many of them for years.  Work extremely well together as a team.  Certainly, exceptionally customer-friendly.  The problem with this store is not staff.  Not even the Store Manager and Assistant Manager per se, -- who apparently, despite their denials, had been pressured by someone.  It's the HEB corporate management suite at the root of most of the problems at this store.

The following salient issues were discussed with the Store Manager before I left.  -- Interestingly, none of which he denied.  LOL.  Readers, have you noticed cheaper generic products are either continually out of stock or discontinued?  Especially, after the store changed its product line weeks before the pandemic.  Apparently, in an effort to emulate the Marble Falls store that caters to the Horseshoe Bay elite.

New larger shopping carts were brought in to the Kingsland store so shoppers would supposedly buy more product, increase store sales.  Shelves are restocked 24 hrs.  Staff was unhappy because aisles are too narrow for the larger carts.  Makes it harder to stock shelves when the store is open.  Not only that, makes it much more difficult for shoppers to navigate the narrow aisles.

Product pricing has steeply increased.  They accomplish this both by directly raising prices, as well as in engaging in deception, that is, downsizing product.  One recent glaring example is their generic bleach.  For awhile, it was unavailable, out of stock.  Then, it was downsized from three quarts to two.  Price remained at $1.  A 33% increase.  Done deceptively.  At a time when inflation is supposedly non-existent.  What ever happened to the HCF quart and a half ice cream that sold for $1.99?  Long since gone.  Both aforementioned products had already been downsized once before.  LOL.  List can go on and on.  Unbridled corporate greed.

As I reminded the Store Manager, Kingsland residents, for the most part, are poor, young, elderly, and/or disabled, etc.  This store now caters to the rich who live on the lake and Sunrise Beach.  Not sustainable.  ... Especially, if the shit finally hits the fan vis a vis the Trump nazi, and/or a second shutdown occurs courtesy of the raging, poorly-handled, achingly mismanaged pandemic.

To store employees, all of whom I admire, consider personal friends, courageously provide your ongoing grievances to this publication.  I will publish them while protecting your identity.  If you won't stand up, nothing changes.

As I informed the Store Manager, the problem in Kingsland is the fact HEB has no substantive competition.  What is desperately needed is a Walmart or other major corporation to rattle the cage of local HEB management as well as the corporate management suite.  Until that occurs, nothing changes, shit happens.  ... Right, Monty?  Dan?

In the last two and a half weeks or so, three middle-aged women tripped and fell on the curb by the picnic table.  Third time, 6-26-20.  Took the Store Manager and Assistant Manager quite some time to exit the store and arrive with ice to quell the swelling of the woman who had fallen hard on her face.  I subsequently asked Monty to consider painting the curb iridescent red or orange to avoid injury and a future lawsuit.

Responded couldn't be painted red since it wasn't a fire zone.  Could certainly be painted orange or some other bright color.  If management doesn't care about a lawsuit, where is its concern for the pain and suffering if a customer trips, falls, and suffers serious injury?  ... Couldn't care less, Monty?  -- Or, is it, shortsightedly, insurance will indeed take care of it?  Wake up.  Just a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured and sues the living shit out of HEB.  Even if HEB prevails in court, it loses.  Consider the cost of bad publicity.

To the credit of management, both the Store Manager and Assistant Manager return carts to the front of the store, sanitize them, and pick up trash.  Recently, associates informed me the Store Manager wasn't happy about the performance of the Assistant Store Manager.  LOL.  Apparently, ole' Dan got too good at hiding in the store, shirking cart and other duties, etc.  LOL.  That's apparently changed.  ... Trouble in paradise, boys?  LOL.  Itching to retire, Dan?  LOL.  Give me a break.  Never a dull moment, -- at customer and staff expense.

Finally, to the motherf--ker in County government who likely complained, don't flatter yourself.  Three months?  What took so long you gutless piece of shit?  LOL.  No matter what, Liberty In Peril will remain up and running.  Despite the fact it's been more than 21 years, just the very beginning.  Far more to come.  Far more County corruption, malfeasance, criminal activity to be followed up, and/or exposed.  LOL.  ... Bribed by Johnny Greene, Madam County Attorney?

Readers are advised there is a sticker on the back of the power supply stating:  "Please remove this sticker."  It cannot be easily removed.  Will not peel off.  Have hesitated to scrape it off since doing so might obliterate anything underneath it, -- if anything.  It is not covering a vent and there is no technical reason that it be removed.  Certainly, did not affect operation of the supply for the last year and four months I've had the machine.

Uncommon Valor.  Seatbelts on.  In follow-up to an earlier edition of this publication, NPR reports:

"Col. Ralph Puckett, Jr. was honored at the White House on Friday and awarded the Medal of Honor for his acts of "conspicuous gallantry" during the Korean War. South Korean President Moon Jae-in, who is in town to conduct diplomatic talks with President Biden, attended the ceremony. Now 94 years old, Puckett's distinction for his service in Korea goes back seven decades to when the retired Army ranger was a 24-year-old recent graduate of the U.S. Military Academy. "Today we are hosting a true American hero, and awarding an honor that is long overdue. More than 70 years overdue," Biden said in his opening remarks. "I'm incredibly proud to give Col. Ralph Puckett's act of valor the full recognition that he always deserved," he said. "Colonel, I'm humbled to have you here today. I really am."

Uncommon Valor:

"In late November 1950, then-1st Lt. Puckett found himself and his platoon facing a barrage of enemy fire as his unit attempted to carry out a daylight attack, according to the White House. Faced with the advancing counterattack, Puckett emerged from his position and ran three times into an open area to attract the attention of Chinese forces, allowing his fellow soldiers to identify the other side and destroy their positions. Later that night, Puckett again played a leading position in his battalion's offensive during a four-hour firefight that saw Puckett injured first by grenade fragments and later more grievously injured by enemy mortar, severely limiting his mobility. Biden joked that when Puckett had first heard the White House was hosting a ceremony in his honor, the war veteran responded "Why all the fuss? Can't they just mail it to me?" Biden said he would have sooner walked the medal to the colonel than ship it by mail. "Your lifetime of service to our nation, I think, deserves a little bit of fuss," Biden said. Standing without the aid of his wheelchair or a walker, Puckett stared solemnly ahead as Biden presented the most prestigious military honor. The decoration joins several additional distinctions of Puckett's military service, including five purple hearts and his induction to the U.S. Army Ranger Hall of Fame. South Korean President Moon delivered brief remarks in his native Korean, which were translated to English by an interpreter: "I find it truly meaningful to join the Medal of Honor ceremony," Moon said. "Colonel Puckett is a true hero of the Korean War."

Indeed.  Readers are advised an earlier edition of this publication (v.720) went into far greater detail than the above.  The heroism of this man is truly breathtaking.

No longer.

In follow-up to a case covered recently in this publication and elsewhere, CBS News reports:

"Two former police officers in Loveland, Colorado were charged with crimes Wednesday for the violent arrest of a 73-year-old woman with dementia. Loveland District Attorney Gordon Mclaughlin charged Austin Hopp with second-degree assault, attempting to influence a public servant and official misconduct. Daria Jalali is charged with failing to report use of force, failing to intervene and official misconduct in connection to the arrest of Karen Garner last June. The officers resigned from the department last month. "Austin Hopp used excessive force in the arrest of Ms. Garner and that resulted in serious bodily injury.  Daria Jalali, having witnessed that excessive force, failed to live up to her duties under the law as a sworn peace officer," Mclaughlin said. Body camera video showed Officer Hopp tackling Garner — who weighed 80 pounds at the time of her arrest. She was accused of stealing $13.88  worth of items from Walmart."

Jesus Christ.  Eighty pounds and dementia.  What a piece of shit in blue.  ... Get your cookies off injuring this woman, you son of a bitch?

"Store security caught Garner and she returned the items. Despite that, Loveland officers pursued her. During the arrest, Garner's shoulder was dislocated and her arm broken. Garner's family is thrilled the officers involved will be prosecuted, but this decision took nearly a year to come down."

Outrageous, isn't it?  Had it been the other way around and an officer injured, a civilian would have been immediately arrested, jailed, quickly charged.  No equal justice.  Special treatment.

"They're being charged for something, it's just not enough," Garner's daughter, Allisa Swartz, told CBS News' David Begnaud. According to court papers, she sat for more than six hours without medical attention. She had suffered a dislocated shoulder, fractured arm and sprained wrist, as well as scrapes and bruises across her body. "This is torture that has been exposed here," family attorney Sarah Schielke said. Last month, Garner's family filed a federal lawsuit against the city of Loveland and five officers for violating Garner's civil rights. They claim Hopp used excessive force, and that Garner was left without necessary medical attention. Schielke said three more officers should also be charged, including at least one who was captured watching footage of Garner's arrest with Hopp and Jalali. "It went up the chain of command along with the videos that various levels of the chain of command watched. And nobody did anything," she said.  The family believes Garner's case was swept under the rug by the entire department and more people should be held accountable. "This all happened nearly a year ago, and all of this has only occurred because we filed a lawsuit and we released the videos. All of this speaks to a culture and an environment that made it possible for that to happen," Schielke said."

No question.  A problem all across this country.  Protect and coddle their own.

Gets worse.  Get this.  Incompetence at the top of the food chain:

"Loveland Police Chief Robert Ticer says he didn't see the videos until this April — 10 months after the arrest. The police department has undergone Alzheimer's awareness training immediately after the video came to light. They also plan on enhancing their de-escalation training techniques in the coming weeks and months."

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.

"Swartz believes both officers and other supervisors must be fired and wants to see the entire department overhauled. "My mom would be ashamed. Because she looks up to a policeman in uniform. They're there to protect you, not harm you," she said."

NPR reports:

"Karen Garner was arrested on June 26, 2020 after officials say she tried to shoplift about $14 worth of merchandise from a local Walmart in Loveland, Colo.  Multiple charges have been filed against two former Colorado police officers for their roles in the arrest of a 73-year-old woman with dementia last year. The charges were filed on Wednesday against former Loveland Police Department officers Austin Hopp and Daria Jalali, who arrested and booked Karen Garner as she was walking home from a local Walmart after failing to pay for about $14 worth of merchandise. "I was able to review dozens of witnesses, interviews, scores of records, phone calls, reports, and photographs, hours of audio and video, and a host of additional evidence, which led me to the decisions I'm making here today," Gordon McLaughlin, district attorney for the Eighth Judicial District of Colorado, said during a news conference, Colorado Public Radio reported. Hopp, who handcuffed Garner and allegedly dislocated her shoulder in the process, is charged with two felonies — assault in the second degree causing a serious bodily injury to an at-risk victim and attempting to influence a public servant — and a misdemeanor charge for official misconduct. Jalali faces three misdemeanor charges, including failure to report excessive use of force, failure to intervene in a use of excessive force, and official misconduct.

"A federal civil rights lawsuit filed by Garner's family last month says Garner wandered out of the Loveland Walmart on June 26, 2020, carrying "a Pepsi, a candy bar, a t-shirt, and some Shout Wipe refills." Her lawyers say that the woman had forgotten to pay for the items and that when she offered to pay the $13.88 bill, employees refused to let her. Instead, surveillance camera footage shows that an employee tried to keep her at the store while they waited for law enforcement. According to Hopp's incident report, Garner gave Walmart employees the slip as they tried to walk her to the store's loss prevention office. Body camera footage of the police altercation shows Hopp pulling on to the side of the road as Garner is walking home along an empty grass-covered field. Hopp approaches Garner identifying himself as a police officer and calling for her to stop. "I don't think you want to play it this way," he says. "You just left Walmart. Do you need to be arrested right now?" Garner, whose lawyers say stands at 5 foot and weighs 80 pounds, appears confused by the officers' commands and says she is going home before turning away from Hopp. She is holding a cellphone and a small bouquet of wildflowers picked from the side of the road in her left hand. As her back is turned to him, Hopp reaches for her left hand, pulls it behind her back and pins her to the ground. Garner looks terrified, repeatedly stating, "I'm going home." She tries to push herself up, but Hopp forces her back down and cuffs her left hand. Out of breath, Hopp calls the incident in. "After a short struggle, she is now detained," he says. Garner is later seen standing with her chest against Hopp's squad car as Hopp continues to hold her left arm behind her back. Jalali, who had only just arrived, according to the incident report, walks over and also takes hold of Garner's arm. "Wait," Jalali shouts as she raises Garner's elbow. In one version of the video with enhanced audio created by Garner's attorneys, a loud cracking can be heard as Hopp and Jalali appear to push Garner's elbow upward. Garner's lawyer, Sarah Schielke, says that is the sound of her shoulder being dislocated. Garner's body begins to slide down the hood and Hopp accuses her of refusing to hold her own weight. He then puts her back on the ground."

Readers are reminded this is an 80 pound, 73-year-old woman suffering dementia.

"The two officers eventually transport Garner to the station and where she is booked. According to court documents, she remained handcuffed to a bench in a cell for six hours before receiving any medical attention, despite numerous complaints by Garner that both her shoulder and wrist were in pain. In the end, the district attorney's office dropped all charges against Garner. Scheilke's lawsuit states that in addition to dementia, Garner also suffers from sensory aphasia, which makes it difficult to communicate and understand others. "This is a start, but it is not enough," Shielke said in response to the charges. "These officers did not do this in a vacuum," she said. "Multiple individuals at the Loveland police department watched what Hopp and Jalali did." Schielke has noted that the department failed to take any action against the officer until media reports publicized Garner's violent arrest. This inaction was despite the fact that several other officers as well as supervisors were aware of what had happened. Only after reports did officials seek to launch an investigation into the incident resulting in Wednesday's charges, she said. "ALL of those individuals did nothing about it. That is not a pp-and-Jalali-being-rogue-criminals problem. That's a City of Loveland creating them problem," Schielke stated."

No longer.

Another murder perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  ABC News reports:

"A former Memphis, Tennessee, police officer accused of kidnapping and killing a man while on duty was indicted Wednesday by a grand jury on first-degree murder and other felony charges. Patric Ferguson, 29, was also indicted on counts of especially aggravated kidnapping, tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, official misconduct and official oppression. He is being held without bond, according to a press release from Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich. Online court records show Ferguson has a jail arraignment scheduled for Friday morning. It was unclear whether he had obtained legal representation. Ferguson was arrested earlier this year and immediately fired from the Memphis Police Department after he became a suspect in the murder of 30-year-old Robert Lee Howard Jr., who was reported missing by his girlfriend on Jan. 6. Ferguson was on duty when he allegedly drove to Howard's residence in the Frayser neighborhood in north Memphis, abducted him at gunpoint, then drove less than a half mile away and fatally shot Howard in the back of his patrol car using a personal handgun, according to Weirich and the Memphis Police Department. The Memphis Police Department had said that the two men knew each other but didn't offer any details about their relationship. Ferguson later confessed to investigators, Weirich said. He also told authorities that he enlisted help from an acquaintance, 28-year-old Joshua Rogers, to move and dispose of Howard's body at another location in north Memphis, where it was recovered on Jan. 10, according to Weirich. After being arrested earlier this year, Rogers was indicted Wednesday by a grand jury on counts of accessory after the fact, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence. He was released on a $25,000 bond, according to Weirich. Online court records show Rogers has a bond arraignment scheduled for June 29. It was unclear whether he had obtained legal representation."

Didn't the department thoroughly vet the officer before hiring him?

"Ferguson had been a member of the Memphis Police Department since October 2018. "No one is above the law," Michael Rallings, then-director of the Memphis Police Department, said in a statement earlier this year after Ferguson's arrest. "Knowing that a Memphis Police Officer, someone who took an oath to protect and serve, made the decision to commit this horrific crime is devastating. His actions were not that of a law enforcement officer and should not reflect on fellow officers."

The lack of transparency in this case is horrendous.  An 'ongoing investigation' and/or pending prosecution no excuse.  Without transparency, law enforcement cannot be trusted to be telling the truth.

In follow-up to a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, CBS News reports:

"The mother of Jamal Sutherland praised the firing of two deputies involved in her son's death, calling the move a "victory," CBS Charleston, South Carolina affiliate WCSC-TV reports. Sutherland died after being subdued at the Al Cannon Detention Center in North Charleston in January. "I consider that a victory for everybody out there that's going through mental health," Amy Sutherland told WCSC. Her son was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia as a teenager, according to The Post and Courier. Jamal Sutherland was at a mental health facility and was arrested there the day prior to his death for allegedly assaulting a staff member. A fight had reportedly broken out at the Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health Center and Jamal Sutherland and another patient were charged with third-degree assault and battery. He was supposed to be taken to a bond hearing on January 5 but was declared dead at 10:30 that morning after being removed from his cell by deputies. The 31-year-old can be seen being pepper sprayed and tased multiple times in body camera footage released last week. Sutherland is heard saying "I can't breathe" during the encounter. Detention Sergeant Lindsay Fickett and Detention Deputy Brian Houle, who were involved in the incident, were fired Monday afternoon. They had previously been placed on administrative leave. "For everyone who has children of color, because the system seemed like it was going to go against us. But God is who we depended on and it was done," Amy Sutherland said. "One day people said they were going to march, and something was done that should have been done a long time ago." Ninth Circuit Solicitor Scarlett Wilson issued a statement saying Fickett and Houle may face charges in the coming weeks."

Why the delay?  Why special treatment?  Why no equal justice?  Had it been the other way around and officers were injured, a civilian would have been immediately arrested, jailed, quickly charged.

No justice in a racist fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.  In a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, ABC News reports:

"A state judge in Mississippi dismissed murder charges Thursday against two police officers accused of body-slamming and beating a Black man. The ruling by Hinds County Judge Faye Peterson ended the trial of former Jackson officers Desmond Barney and Lincoln Lampley, news outlets reported. She said prosecutors failed to present evidence that the officers acted criminally against 62-year-old George Robinson on Jan. 13, 2019. An indictment alleged that they and a third officer took Robinson from his vehicle, slammed him to the pavement and repeatedly hit him in the head and chest. He died two days later. It was not clear how Peterson's decision would affect the case against Anthony Fox, which is before a different judge and has not yet gone to trial. The officers worked for the Jackson Police Department at the time. Fox and Barney currently work for the Clinton Police Department. Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens said the decision surprised him, WLBT-TV reported. “Significant evidence was presented. ... Three eyewitnesses identified that officers did body-slam Mr. Robinson. Medical professionals ... acknowledged that Mr. Robinson died of blunt force trauma,” he said."

Racist decision made by a fascist 'judge' apparently more concerned with protecting her criminal jackbooted bastards in blue than justice.

"Robinson's sister, Bettersten Wade, said she wasn't going to hate anyone but did hate what happened to her brother. The officers said Robinson failed to comply when asked to step out of his vehicle during a traffic stop. Wade said he would have obeyed but was moving slowly because of a recent stroke, the station reported."

Nazi justice.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.  ... Too deaf to hear?  Or, too aggressively stupid.

In follow-up to a recent edition of this publication and elsewhere, NPR reports:

"Two death row inmates in South Carolina, now required by law to choose between a yet-to-be-formed firing squad and a 109-year-old electric chair, have decided to sue instead. They call the state's recently signed legislation unconstitutional because lethal injection was the main method of execution when they were sentenced. It's an argument Democratic state Rep. Justin Bamberg vehemently made as he fought against the new law that is intended to restart executions that have involuntarily stalled in the state for a decade. "We're going to force people to get electrocuted and give them the choice of getting shot instead when that wasn't even the law when they were convicted of their crime," says Bamberg. The law does say lethal injection is still possible if it's available. But that's a big if. Many pharmaceutical companies have stopped selling the chemicals needed to put inmates to death with a needle and in South Carolina, unlike other states, there is no shield law to protect local drug makers' identities."

Readers will recall:

"Before the new law was signed, the decision for the condemned was execution by lethal injection or the electric chair. Those who chose not to be electrocuted could not be put to death because the drugs were not available. That frustrated some lawmakers. "To have the death penalty and then not be allowed to carry it out is committing fraud upon the citizens we represent," says Republican state Sen. Greg Hembree, a former prosecutor of 25 years."

Spoken as the true nazi the son of a bitch remains.  The bastard remains so hopelessly ignorant he doesn't understand executions are not justice.  No more than revenge:

"Hembree says the families of victims deserve the justice they were promised in court. He sponsored the legislation and proposed making the electric chair the default method of execution instead of lethal injection. But not everyone agreed."

Not everyone in our formerly great country is an hopelessly ignorant nazi:

"That was unacceptable to me because I think the electric chair is torture," says Democratic state Sen. Dick Harpootlian. "I don't think it's an execution."

Yet, others revel in their ignorance:

"Harpootlian, a former district attorney who prosecuted several death penalty cases, began researching firing squads now used in three states — Utah, Oklahoma and Mississippi. He says he found the method more humane. "It's instantaneous. No death is pretty, but it's not torture."

Bet this fascist son of a bitch opposes the right to abortion and is inconsistent?  LOL.

"The South Carolina Department of Corrections is now trying to do something it's never done before, create a firing squad based on those other states. There's no word on how much it could cost or how long it will take. But the agency's director, Bryan Stirling, says it's possible the state won't have to wait. It could, he says, start carrying out executions again without a firing squad, even though inmates are supposed to have a choice. "They do have that right, however, the law states if an option is not available, then it would default to the electric chair," says Stirling. Lindsey Vann says she is appalled but not surprised. She's the executive director of the non-profit group Justice 360, which assists death row inmates. Vann represents a third inmate on death row, Richard Moore, who is in his 50s. He was sentenced to death nearly 20 years ago for the murder of James Mahoney, who was working as a clerk at a convenience store at the time. "We have researched all cases in South Carolina ending in the death penalty and none of them are like this," says Vann. She says Moore, who is Black, was unarmed when he walked into the store and scuffled with Mahoney, who was white and armed. Vann says Moore shot Mahoney to death, but it wasn't planned. "Richard Moore is also the last person on South Carolina's death row who was tried by a jury without anyone of his own race," says Vann. The state Supreme Court began reviewing Moore's case again this month, even as lawmakers began crafting legislation that could hasten his death. Moore was supposed to be executed last December but refused to choose the electric chair or lethal injection. The latter was the default then, so he could not be put to death. Vann says she doesn't know why the new law was so quickly passed at the end of the legislative session. Republican Gov. Henry McMaster says it's because it was long overdue. "It's been an issue for years. There have been efforts to see that the law is carried out for years."

Bet Adolf and Benito are wildly cheering on their fiery perches?

"But some Democrats believe that carrying out causes like this one has become a popular way for Republicans to try to appeal to former President Trump's faithful base."

No shit.

In follow-up to a case covered repeatedly in this publication and elsewhere, CBS News reports:

"Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced Friday that he will lead the prosecution of a former suburban police officer who is charged with second-degree manslaughter in the death of Daunte Wright. Former Brooklyn Center officer Kim Potter, who is White, fatally shot Wright, a 20-year-old Black motorist, on April 11. The city's police chief, who has since stepped down, had said he believed Potter meant to use her Taser instead of her handgun."

Not credible.  Potter wore her handgun on her right hip, Taser on her left.  In addition, the feel of both weapons is not the same, quite different.

"Daunte Wright's death was a tragedy. He should not have died on the day that he did. He should not have died the way that he did," Ellison said in a statement. Ellison said he took the case at the request of Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, after another prosecutor, Washington County Attorney Pete Orput, gave the case back to Freeman's office. Orput first took the case under an agreement in which prosecutors in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area said they would take each other's cases when someone dies after an officer uses force. After Orput charged Potter with manslaughter, he came under intense pressure from activists calling for more serious charges, with frequent demonstrations outside his home. Orput had said publicly that he believed manslaughter was the appropriate charge. In a statement Friday, Orput said he was grateful Ellison took the case."

Jesus Christ.  Unbelievable.  What a gutless coward.

Yet another jail inmate death courtesy of the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  CBS News reports:

"A man who died after being pinned to the floor by law enforcement at a Tennessee jail last year repeatedly told officers he couldn't breathe, according to video obtained by CBS Nashville station WTVF. But officers continued to restrain the man after he was prone and handcuffed, a federal civil rights lawsuit alleges, and after he pleaded that he couldn't breathe, a deputy responded: "You shouldn't be able to breathe, you stupid [expletive.]" The lawsuit  filed by the family of 48-year-old William Jennette says Marshall County deputies and Lewisburg police officers used excessive force against Jennette during the restraint at the Marshall County jail in Lewisburg, Tennessee. The suit alleges that Jennette wasn't resisting and law enforcement should have been trained about the well-known deadly dangers of asphyxiation associated with prone restraint. "All he wanted was help and all he got was hate. It's not right," Jennette's daughter, Calli Jennette, told the station."

No justice:

"Lewisburg Mayor Jim Bingham said in a statement that Jennette "became extremely unruly, being both verbally and physically abusive" with deputies assigned to work at the jail. He said the deputies called Lewisburg police officers to respond "due to Mr. Jennette's aggressive behavior and refusal to comply with commands to stop physically resisting."  The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation probed the death and closed the investigation several months later, he said. Bingham called Jennette's death "unfortunate" and said he could not comment further because of the pending lawsuit."

Forget?  The bastards protect their own.

"An autopsy cites Jennette's cause of death as acute combined drug intoxication from methamphetamine and an antihistamine, and lists asphyxiation as a contributing factor. It says Jennette, who was White, was "subdued and restrained by officers during struggle while under the influence," and lists the manner of death as a homicide. The family lawsuit, however, alleges Jennette died because of beating and suffocation at the hands of the deputies and officers involved, who "caused extreme, almost unfathomable, pain and suffering to Mr. Jennette prior to his death."

-- How the jackbooted bastards in blue get their cookies off.  Forget?

"Jail logs obtained by WTVF show Jennette had been "hallucinating" and "detoxing" after being taken into custody two days earlier for public intoxication, indecent exposure and resisting arrest. According to the lawsuit, Jennette began beating his fists against his cell door in the early morning hours of May 6, 2020. Jailors, who are Marshall County deputies, are seen on the video opening the door to the cell and Jennette is seen exiting peacefully, appearing to be talking to them. One deputy then pushed Jennette back "approximately 15 feet" to the end of a hall, the lawsuit claims. Three deputies press Jennette into a wall where a struggle ensues, the lawsuit says, and one deputy struck the man multiple times. The video shows deputies apparently trying to get Jennette into a restraint chair. At that point, a Lewisburg police officer arrives, and Jennette pleads with the officer, "Help me, they're gonna kill me." Officers had put the man in a restraint chair the day before for his own protection because he had been hitting his head on the cell wall, the station reports. The video shows the officer and a deputy wrestling Jennette to the ground and placing him in the prone position as Jennette struggles. In the video, officers are heard yelling for Jennette to give them his arms. One yells, "Bite me again, motherf----," but it's not clear what transpired prior to the comment. The officer places his knee on the man's back and holds him down with both hands as he, another officer and deputy attempt to handcuff Jennette. Jennette is heard pleading, "[you're] about to kill me" and "Let me up or I'm going to die," the lawsuit says. The officer uses both his hands to press Jennette's face into the floor, the lawsuit alleges, and yells, "Stay down, you stupid son of a b-----." He directs another officer to get leg restraints and continues to place his weight on Jennette's back using his knee and hands, the lawsuit says, "making it impossible for him to breathe." The officer places Jennette in leg restraints in a "hogtied" position, immobilizing him, but keeps him prone and doesn't roll him on his side to help him breathe, the suit alleges. Jennette pleads three times that he can't breathe, and one deputy responds, "You shouldn't be able to breathe, you stupid little [expletive.]" She presses the man's leg up behind his back, according to the lawsuit, and threatens to break Jennette's foot. Later, when asked by the officer whether she was okay, the deputy mocks Jennette by saying, "I can't breathe," and the officer laughs, the suit says. At one point in the video, the officer cautions, "Easy, remember positional asphyxiation guys. That's why I'm not on his lungs, let him breathe."

Are these officers that stupid?  Or, is it, they just don't give a f--k?

Get this:

"The officer pinned Jennette with his weight on his back for a total of four minutes, according to the lawsuit, though Jennette was "handcuffed, compliant, restrained and within the physical control" of the officers. Eventually, the officer turned Jennette over, finding him "purple and lifeless," the suit alleges. The officers then began life-saving measures, but Jennette could not be revived."

Called murder.

"Seth Stoughton, a law professor and use-of-force expert, evaluated the video for WTVF and said he was disturbed by what he saw. Officers have been trained since the mid-1990s about the dangers of asphyxiation due to prone restraint, he said. "That's the exact opposite of what generally accepted training has taught officers for the last 25 years," Stoughton said. "When the handcuffs came on, they should have rotated the guy to his side." Stoughton testified about the same issues as a use-of-force expert in the murder trial of Derek Chauvin, the now-convicted ex-Minneapolis officer who killed George Floyd by pressing his knee to his neck for more than nine minutes. A grand jury reviewed the Tennessee case but decided not to bring criminal charges against the officers, the station reports. The sheriff and county attorney did not comment to WTVF."

No justice.

"Jennette was a father of five, his family told the station. His daughter Dominique Jennette told WTVF she is haunted by how terrified her father was in his last moments. "That's just something that really sticks with me, how scared he must have been and how alone he must have felt," Jennette said."

Murdered by the jackbooted bastards in blue.  De facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.

No justice.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Nazi justice.  De facto fascist police-state.  Democratic republic in name only.  The following?  Incomprehensible.  The Washington Post reports:

"Two federal jail guards who were assigned to monitor Jeffrey Epstein the night he committed suicide in his cell have been offered a deferred prosecution deal that would allow them to avoid incarceration for falsifying documents to cover up that they were not making required inmate checks, according to a new court filing."

Why are these lying bastards protected and coddled?  Especially, in light of the following:

"Tova Noel and Michael Thomas were indicted in 2019 after prosecutors said they took naps and browsed the Internet — including over an eight-hour stretch where Epstein was not monitored — instead of making rounds at the Metropolitan Correctional Center’s special housing unit. The guards discovered Epstein dead around 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 10, 2019. To try to conceal that they did not fulfill the mandatory inmate welfare and security checks, they made false statements on official paperwork indicating that their duties had been performed, prosecutors alleged. While the full scope of their agreement with the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan will not be public until it is reviewed by a judge as early as next week, prosecutors disclosed Friday that Noel and Thomas agreed to cooperate with the Justice Department’s review of the ordeal and that they would complete 100 hours of community service."

Civilians in similar circumstances where they lied to authorities on official documents would have had it legally rammed up their ass.  Why no equal justice?  Why special treatment?

"Noel and Thomas have admitted to lying on Bureau of Prisons documents about their failure to conduct counts and make rounds, per their assignments, Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jessica Lonergan and Nicolas Roos wrote in a court filing Friday. The guards were the only people charged in connection to Epstein’s death, which occurred while he awaited trial for sex trafficking of underage victims in the 2000s. Dozens of women have come forward to say they were abused by the wealthy pedophile at his properties around the world when they were minors. Lawyers for the guards could not immediately be reached for comment. Epstein’s death was ruled a suicide by the New York City medical examiner. It was seen as a massive failure by the Bureau of Prisons for not keeping such a high-profile inmate safe. It was also viewed as a crushing blow by the alleged victims who hoped to finally see justice served."

Sadly, all that and more.

"Epstein had been prosecuted once before, in 2008 in Florida, where he entered into a plea deal that landed him about a year in jail with extensive work-release time, despite the fact that a number of young victims had come forward with similar stories about being lured to his home to earn cash to come to his home and give him massages. At his Palm Beach estate, the girls would be pressured into having sexual encounters. Epstein’s longtime companion and alleged accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, is now facing charges in federal court in Manhattan for allegedly recruiting victims for Epstein."

Nothing quite like 'justice,' is there?

NPR reports:

"The federal prison guards tasked with monitoring Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender, the night he committed suicide have been offered a deferred prosecution deal. Tova Noel and Michael Thomas were assigned to check inmates at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City twice an hour. But footage from the night of the suicide shows the two guards at their desks, browsing the Internet for furniture, motorcycle sales and sports news instead of monitoring Epstein in his cell where he was discovered dead on Aug. 10, 2019. Authorities say that footage shows that the two guards were apparently sleeping for more than two hours of their shifts. According to a court filing on Friday, the deal would allow the guards to avoid incarceration for allegedly falsifying documents to conceal that they did not make the required welfare and security checks on Epstein. Noel and Thomas would instead be subjected to supervised release, would be required to complete 100 hours of community service, and cooperate with an ongoing probe by the Justice Department's inspector general. The deal would need to be approved by a judge, which could happen as soon as next week. Noel and Thomas have admitted to lying on Bureau of Prisons documents about their failure to conduct counts and make rounds, according to Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jessica Lonergan and Nicolas Roos. The guards "admitted that they 'willfully and knowingly completed materially false count and round slips regarding required counts and rounds' " in the housing unit where Epstein was being held, the prosecutors said in the filing."

A whitewash.  No more, no less.

"Sen. Ben Sasse, a Republican member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and an outspoken critic of the Justice Department's handling of Epstein's case, called the deal "unacceptable" and said the public deserves to see a report detailing the prison agency's failures."

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.

Nazi justice.  Dating back decades.  NPR reports:

"On Aug. 26, Kevin Phomma was arrested during a racial justice demonstration outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in Portland, Ore. Prosecutors say Phomma sprayed police officers with bear repellant, so the U.S. Department of Justice charged him with civil disorder, a felony. Fast forward to Jan. 6, where Reed Christensen, a Republican Party leader from Oregon's Washington County walked up the steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. According to the FBI, Christensen struck police with his fist. Later, federal prosecutors filed charges, including civil disorder. In the last year, the Justice Department has turned extensively to civil disorder, a once rarely used law, to crack down on crimes they say were committed during protests and other unrest. "How do we deal with that extremism?" asked former Oregon U.S. Attorney Billy Williams, who was part of the federal government's response to protests in Portland last summer and called the attack on the U.S. Capitol, "chilling." "What we're witnessing and what we have been witnessing for some time are the individuals at the extremes of the spectrum, either far left or far right, both. And people making decisions to engage in extreme conduct that is of a criminal nature."

Here's the problem.  Carefully, consider the following:

"In 1968, Congress passed the Civil Obedience Act during the height of the civil rights movement. Among its aspects, the statute makes it a crime to interfere with police or firefighters doing their official duties during a protest or civil disorder that "adversely affects commerce" or the "conduct or performance of any federally protected function." The charge carries up to five-years in prison. "There's overtly racist sentiments of the drafters of this statute," said Lisa Hay, the federal public defender for the District of Oregon. "The statute was written during a time when senators were concerned with the civil rights movement and they wanted to stop the civil rights movement by arresting its leaders."

In all these decades, what has truly changed in a racist de facto fascist police-state?

"Hay's office is representing Phomma and others in Portland charged with civil disorder. She said it's wrong to use the charge against racial justice protesters now. During the last 30 years, civil disorder was used in roughly a dozen cases nationwide. Federal prosecutors filed it in response to crimes the government says occurred during a variety of protests, including actions over the Dakota Access Pipeline and the Baltimore police killing of Freddie Gray. In the last 12 months, the Justice Department turned to the charge more than 125 times. First, during protests that followed George Floyd's murder by police in Minneapolis. Prosecutors filed civil disorder cases in North Dakota, Alabama, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Through the end of last year, the majority of the charges were filed in Oregon, where protesters in Portland took to the streets for more than 100 nights of direct action against police violence. Williams stressed the charges were never aimed at addressing lawful protests for police reform and social justice."

Bullshit.  Simply, not true.

"Which are powerful calls," he said. "Separate that from those on the extremes who engage in criminal conduct." Since Jan. 6, federal prosecutors have brought hundreds of cases against people who stormed the U.S. Capitol. About a quarter of those charged in the attack face civil disorder. While the cases are very different, the charge — civil disorder — is the same. For months, attorneys representing racial justice protesters have been trying to get those charges thrown out. Their arguments serve as tests for those facing civil disorder after the Capitol attack. "There's plenty of other specific federal and state statutes that could be used to prosecute people in Portland and the people at the Capitol," Hay said. Beyond its racist origins, Hay argues, the law is unconstitutional."

Matters not to the GOP increasingly insane nazi element in our formerly great country.

"The fact that the statute is being used widely proves the point of our litigation, which is that this overbroad and vague statute can apply to so many circumstances, including innocent conduct, that it will chill the exercise of constitutional rights," Hay said. The Justice Department didn't respond to a request for comment. Oregon's U.S. Attorney's Office declined an interview request."

Surprised?  Why?  Impossible to credibly defend the indefensible.

"In court documents, federal prosecutors argue the civil disorder charge is constitutional and push back on the notion of any racist intent. "The riots that took place in Portland last year were violent," federal prosecutors wrote in court documents. "Dozens of police officers and protesters were injured. Local businesses suffered millions in losses. These violent activities took place during, and sometimes after, peaceful protest activities. And it is this violence – not the peaceful protests – that underlie the government's prosecution ..."

Bullshit.  Simply, not true.  Disingenuous bullshit.  All they truly care about is securing a conviction no matter how, no matter what, no matter guilt or innocence.

"They say civil disorder applies to a defendant's conduct whether it's a racial justice protest or what happened at the U.S. Capitol. In many cases across the country, defenders and federal prosecutors are making the same arguments developed in Oregon. "We've talked with defenders around the country about the use of this statute and ways to challenge it," Hay said. One of those cases was in Mobile, Ala., where Tia Pugh was charged with civil disorder after prosecutors said she broke the window of an occupied police cruiser during a racial justice protest last May, following Floyd's murder in Minneapolis. Federal defenders in Alabama challenged that case, using the Oregon defender's arguments. And the Justice Department responded. In April, Michael Dittoe, a prosecutor from the National Security Division's Counterterrorism Section who has spent the last several years charging supporters of the Islamic State, traveled to Alabama to defend the charge over the broken window. The hearing was first reported by Politico. "At the very basic level, the government is thinking, 'At the minimum, we have to preserve our ability to bring this charge,'" said Tung Yin, a professor at Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, where he researches terrorism and national security law. Earlier this month, the federal judge overseeing Pugh's case tossed out arguments from the defense that the charge is unconstitutional and allowed the trial to move forward. On Wednesday, a jury found her guilty."

No justice.  Courtesy of both a far from impartial 'judge' and jury.  Currently, the American way in a de facto fascist police-state.  Not only that, there were other federal and state statutes this individual could have been prosecuted under.

"It's one of scores of cases where similar arguments could play out over and over again in the months to come as the Justice Department pursues both crimes they say were committed during racial justice protests and those involved in the Jan. 6 siege on the U.S. Capitol. "The decision on this may be in the court of public discourse," said Margaret Russell, a law professor at Santa Clara University where she specializes in civil rights and free speech. From a legal perspective, Russell said the most powerful arguments against the civil disorder statu[t]e would be that it infringes on the First Amendment. Though Russell adds defense attorneys may have another goal in highlighting the law's racist history from the civil rights era. "If the federal defenders and others are pointing out the origins of this law, and the misuse of it, and the likely misuse of it here, then it calls attention to, perhaps, reasons to not use this particular statute to prosecute people," Russell says."

No justice.  Anything goes.  ABC News reports:

"A grand jury in Texas has declined to indict a police officer who fatally shot an unarmed Black man who rushed toward him during a mental health call. The case was presented Wednesday to a Bell County grand jury, which declined to indict Killeen police Officer Reynaldo Contreras, police said Friday. Contreras, a five-year veteran of the department, fatally shot 52-year-old Patrick Lynn Warren in January. Family members have said that the day before Warren was killed, a Bell County mental health deputy had taken him to a hospital. But, the family said, when he returned home the next day, his psychiatric issues continued. Police have said that Warren was “emotionally distressed” when Contreras arrived. Body camera footage shows Warren waving his hands as he walks into his yard, toward Contreras, who tells him to get on the ground. Contreras then uses his stun gun. Warren gets back up and begins again advancing toward Contreras, who warns Warren to “lay back” and that he'll shoot him before firing."

Gutless piece of shit in blue.

"Lee Merritt, an attorney representing Warren's family, said Friday that family members of Warren, who were there the day he was killed, should have been called to testify before the grand jury. Merritt said Contreras responded to the call “with this militarized default.” Police have said that Contreras had had mental health training, but Merritt said it "obviously was insufficient to deal with an unarmed man in his pajamas on his front lawn.” Merritt said the U.S. Department of Justice has opened up an investigation into the case."

Legalized murder accorded the gutless, criminal, jackbooted bastards in blue.  All the more reason for creation of a new federal agency that would investigate, arrest, jail, charge, and prosecute criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that tried only these cases.  Total independence.

In follow-up to a case covered repeatedly in this publication and elsewhere, The Washington Post reports:

"Louisiana State Police on Friday released body-camera videos from the arrest of Ronald Greene, a Black man whose death in custody triggered fresh outrage this week after leaked footage showed Greene pleading with troopers who stunned him, dragged him and left him shackled facedown. State Police Superintendent Col. Lamar Davis also said he had replaced the leader of a troop dogged by allegations of abuse and made other changes to his command staff. Video of Greene’s May 2019 arrest obtained by the Associated Press — withheld for two years by authorities amid accusations of a coverup — added to mounting scrutiny of Troop F, which saw four of its members charged this year after an excessive force investigation. “I assure you that we are making significant change,” Davis said at a news conference Friday evening. “We have made significant change, and we will continue to make significant change throughout our agency.” The footage newly uploaded to YouTube represents all of the state police’s video from the incident, officials said. It includes body-camera as well as some in-car camera footage from four state troopers: Kory York, John Clary, Dakota DeMoss and Chris Hollingsworth, who died last fall. Lawyers for Greene’s family have also called for the arrest of officer Floyd McElroy, as the Justice Department investigates. “We have been in close contact with FBI and we expect federal indictments to happen soon,” Lee Merritt, an attorney for Greene’s family, said in a Friday night statement to The Washington Post. “The Greene family has waited long enough for justice.” Mona Hardin, Greene’s mother, decried what she called a “coverup” on the part of the state police. “It’s organized crime within the state of Louisiana, especially Troop F,” she said Friday on CNN."

Readers will recall:

"The partial video released this week by the AP showed Greene wailing and saying “I’m sorry!” as troopers violently arrest him, deploying a stun gun after appearing to raise his hands inside his car. Troopers later punch Greene in the face, drag him briefly by his shackled ankles and leave him to moan unattended while handcuffed for more than nine minutes, the AP reported. “I’m scared! I’m scared! … I’m scared!” the 49-year-old yelled while bent over in the front seat. “I’m your brother. I’m scared!” Body-cam video shows Louisiana troopers stunned, hit and dragged Black man before his death. Medics soon found Greene unresponsive, according to his family’s wrongful death lawsuit, and he was pronounced dead minutes after arriving at a hospital.

"Davis said he could not speak to whether Greene should be alive today. He said he hopes the community can start a “healing process” but declined Friday to comment to reporters on troopers’ conduct while state and federal authorities investigate. Asked about the AP’s reporting that state police withheld basic records related to Greene’s arrest from the medical examiner — including police reports and emergency medical information — Davis said he could not discuss the matter. “I really don’t know why or when,” Davis said. “I would have to look at that.”

Jesus Christ.  You're the goddamned Superintendent of the State Police and you don't know?  Are you that incompetent or are you simply lying?

NBC News reports:

"Three former police officers said Ronald Greene’s 2019 death after an arrest in which he was stunned, punched and dragged by Louisiana state troopers is among the worst cases of excessive force they’ve seen and the latest example of filmed brutality eroding public confidence in law enforcement. The video of Greene, 49, a Black man from Monroe, Louisiana, being tased by white troopers, dragged face-first, choked and left without medical assistance for about nine minutes first became public this week, two years after the arrest. The Associated Press released the body camera footage of the May 10, 2019, arrest, which happened after Greene led troopers on a high-speed chase that topped 100 mph. “It literally was torture,” said David Thomas, a professor of forensic studies at Florida Gulf Coast University who worked for 20 years as a police officer in Michigan and Florida. “There was no regard for humanity. … As a Black man, I am torn between what I know a good cop should be and what this profession is doing to my community.” The AP on Friday released additional footage of Greene’s arrest and details about his autopsy, which showed high levels of cocaine and alcohol in his system. Greene also suffered a torn aorta and broken breastbone. The autopsy listed cause of death as “cocaine-induced agitated delirium complicated by motor vehicle collision, physical struggle, inflicted head injury and restraint." It did not list a manner of death. "Agitated" or "excited" delirium, terms often used to describe victims in police use-of-force cases, are not accepted as real conditions by the American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association. The latter said in a position paper that "'excited delirium' (ExDs) is too non-specific to meaningfully describe and convey information about a person." Authorities in Louisiana on Friday evening released nine videos of the vehicle pursuit that led up to the arrest, the violent detention of Greene and some of the aftermath."

Idiocy.  On a grand scale.  Get this.  The Washington Post reports:

"Police told a man a container in his car tested positive for drugs. It was his daughter’s ashes. Dartavius Barnes sat handcuffed inside a squad car in Springfield, Ill., looking confused as police told him they’d found a container in the center console of his car that tested positive for meth or ecstasy. Then the officer showed him what they’d tested: a small metallic object. Barnes sprang from his seat in horror. “No, no, no, bro, that’s my daughter,” Barnes yelled, body-camera video of the April 2020 incident shows. “What y’all doing, bro? That’s my daughter!” That container, Barnes told the officer, was a small urn storing the ashes of his 2-year-old daughter — not an illegal substance."

Jesus Christ.  Aggressive stupidity on the grandest of scales.

"Barnes has filed a federal lawsuit alleging officers with the Springfield Police Department unlawfully took the sealed urn containing his daughter’s remains, opened it without his consent, and spilled some of the ashes while testing for drugs. Roughly 47 minutes of body-camera footage of the encounter was published by WICS and WRSP last week. Police eventually released Barnes without arresting him after both Barnes and his father, who was also present at the scene, pleaded with officers to give back the ashes of Ta’Naja Barnes, a 2-year-old girl who died of neglect and starvation in February 2019. Her mother, Twanka L. Davis, and her boyfriend, were later sentenced to decades in prison for the toddler’s death. By testing them for drugs, police “desecrated” Ta’Naja’s ashes, Barnes said in the lawsuit filed against the city of Springfield and six Springfield police officers. Attorneys representing the officers and the city did not immediately respond to messages from The Washington Post late Thursday. The officers have denied the allegations, court records state."

Gross understatement:

"The incident is the latest to illustrate the risk of false positives in field-testing drug kits used by police, which in recent years have incorrectly detected drugs in objects including chocolate chip cookies, deodorant, breath mints and tortilla dough. In 2018, a Tampa Bay mother of four spent five months in jail after her vitamins falsely tested positive for oxycodone, the Miami Herald reported. Barnes was pulled over on April 6, 2020, for allegedly speeding and disobeying a stop sign. The video shows Barnes, who cooperated with police, exiting his car and being placed in handcuffs before giving police permission to search his blue Chrysler. Barnes told police he only carried some marijuana inside the vehicle. He was put in the back of a patrol car for about 20 minutes while officers with flashlights inspected his car and seized nearly 80 grams of marijuana stored in plastic bags and a Mason jar. At one point, one officer showed the urn to another officer. “At first I thought it was heroin, then I checked for cocaine, but it looks like it’s probably molly,” one officer said. “X pills?” another officer said, referencing ecstasy. Minutes later, one of the officers told Barnes he would be arrested because they had found either meth or ecstasy in the center console of his car. “What?” Barnes said before asking to see the illegal substance police claimed they had found. Once the officer pulled the urn out of a black latex glove, Barnes’s voice broke as he attempted to explain what the object stored. “Give me that, bro. That’s my daughter. Please give me my daughter, bro. Put her in my hand, bro. Y’all are disrespectful, bro,” Barnes yelled before the officer shut the door of the cruiser. The officer then discussed what Barnes had revealed with other officers. Eventually, he decided not to retest the contents of the urn and to hand the girl’s remains over to Barnes’s father, who had come to the scene and also became visibly upset once he heard police claimed the urn held drugs. Inside a police car, the video shows, one officer who appears to be filing a police report said, “I’m just going to give him a notice to appear on the weed.” “Aside from p---ed-off dad and testing the dead baby ashes,” another officer replies."

No end to the stupidity.

"Barnes was released and given a notice to appear in court for illegal possession of cannabis. It’s not clear what became of those charges. Barnes filed the lawsuit against the city and the six officers in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois in October 2020. He is seeking compensatory damages and a trial by jury. A judge has set a jury trial for August 2022."

Assault by the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ABC News reports:

"Jose Oliva, 76, says he was "assaulted" by cops at VA hospital. For more than two decades, Jose Oliva built a career in federal law enforcement busting bad guys for money laundering and narcotics. After he retired, during a trip to the dentist in 2016, Oliva was the one getting busted up at the hands of federal police. "This big guy grabbed my left hand and with his two hands, he jerked my arm as high as he could. Almost simultaneously, as this guy was jerking my arm, he put a chokehold on my throat very hard, very hurtful," Oliva said of the incident at the El Paso, Texas, VA hospital. "I told them I can’t -- I cannot breathe, let me go. I cannot breathe." Oliva, now 76, a Vietnam War veteran and longtime VA patient, underwent two surgeries to repair injuries sustained after officers forcefully arrested him at a security screening checkpoint following a dispute over his ID. "The officer asked for me ID… I told them my VA card, my ID is in the bin," he recalled, "and for whatever reasons, he did not like that answer." The officers, who dispute that account, cited Oliva with disorderly conduct; the charge was later dismissed."

How about that?  Fascinating, isn't it?

"Jose Oliva, 75, of El Paso, Texas, is appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court seeking to pursue a civil damages lawsuit against federal law enforcement officers who forcefully arrested him in February 2016, causing physical harm. As the nation wrestles with high-profile cases of police excessive force, Oliva is asking the US Supreme Court to curb longstanding legal protections that have shielded local, state and federal officers from claims for damages over their actions."

Decades overdue.

"An appeals court last year threw out Oliva’s case against the VA officers, citing a Supreme Court rule since 1971 that sharply limits the right of Americans to sue federal employees for damages under the Constitution."

Outrageously, unconstitutional.  Protects and coddles jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.

"While Congress expressly allows civil lawsuits against state and local law enforcement officials, it did not create a legal avenue to pursue claims against federal officials."

Outrageous, isn't it?

"The appeals court also noted that even if Oliva’s suit could proceed, most officers enjoy qualified immunity, a legal doctrine that affords broad protection against personal liability for constitutional violations in most cases that has been in place for more than 50 years."

Indeed, nazi justice in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.

"It’s a double high bar. It is a double protection," for federal officers, said UCLA law professor Joanna Schwartz, a leading expert in qualified immunity. "Qualified immunity protects officers, unless the plaintiff in the case can find a prior court decision with virtually identical facts, holding those facts and officer conduct unconstitutional," Schwartz said. Jose Oliva says qualified immunity for cops is "too broad" and is asking the US Supreme Court to rollback legal protections. Accountability for federal officers has drawn special scrutiny after last summer’s protests for racial justice when legions of federal agents -- many unidentified -- performed policing functions in major cities across the US in roles normally left to state and local agencies. "Not only are there more federal agents and special agents and officers, but they are doing more in the way of policing than has typically been the case with regard to our historically very limited federal police apparatus," said Seth Stoughton, a former police officer and law professor at the University of South Carolina. In 2000, there were 88,000 federal law enforcement officers, most working in Customs and Border Protection or the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Today, they number more than 132,000, according to the Justice Department."

De facto fascist police-state in what is supposed to be a democratic republic.

Unadulterated bullshit:

"Law enforcement advocates say qualified immunity and other legal protections are essential to preventing harassment of officers, potential financial ruin, and psychological distraction when working in dangerous situations. "That way they can do their job and not have to be second-guessing, ‘Am I going to let this guy through? The last time I did, I got sued. I’m not going to take the chance,’" said Louis Lopez, a Texas attorney representing two of the officers in Oliva’s case, Mario Garcia and Hector Barahona. "We don’t want to have our frontline security officers having to make these type of legal decisions when they’re in life or death situations or circumstances," Lopez said."

What this does is protect the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  Denies any semblance of accountability to those victimized by these abusive, murderous bastards in blue.

"But critics say the data doesn’t back up claims of widespread impact on officers if immunity was rolled back or lifted entirely. "I spent five years as a cop. I tend to trust generally in the professionalism of other officers, and I find it very infantalizing when someone says that concerns about possible prospective lawsuits -- purely speculative lawsuits -- are going to be so strong that those fears are going to keep an officer from doing their job," said Stoughton. "I just don’t buy that." Jose Oliva, a Vietnam War veteran and former law enforcement officer, suffered permanent damage to his shoulder, ear and throat after federal officers at a VA hospital in El Paso, Texas, used force to arrest him in 2016. The physical altercation involving Oliva, captured on VA surveillance video, shows officers forcefully taking the 70-year-old into custody following a verbal exchange near the hospital magnetometer. The recording did not capture audio of the conversation. "The lack of audio is telling," said Gabriel Perez, a Texas attorney working with Lopez on the case. "Just because something happens on camera doesn't mean there isn't a verbal altercation that leads up to that." "You can’t look at this one isolated incident in a vacuum," he added. "In 2015 in El Paso, at the same facility, there was a shooting there."

Unadulterated bullshit:

"Lopez said the officers' use of force was aimed at neutralizing a potential threat. "They don’t know if Mr. Oliva has dynamite strapped to his chest or he’s got a 45 handgun that he’s going to just start shooting people indiscriminately," said Lopez."

What a crock of shit.  Gutless pieces of human excrement.  An exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

"Oliva's attorney, Patrick Jaicomo with the Institute for Justice, insists the use of force was excessive and unjustified. "There’s just no way any reasonable person can watch that video and think that there was any reason for those VA police to do what they did to Jose," he said. For many victims of alleged police abuses, civil claims are the only avenue for justice after injuries sustained at the hands of cops. And qualified immunity is a major sticking point, advocates say. A Reuters investigation last year found police won 43% of federal excessive force cases between 2014 and 2017 when invoking qualified immunity. Over the next three years, it increased to 56%. It’s a trend some say underscores the need for reform. "The Supreme Court talked about it as a good faith defense when the officers believed that what they were doing was constitutional, that there should be some manner of protection," said Schwartz. "But the Supreme Court’s desires to protect more and more officers has led them to create a standard that is more and more difficult to meet." Negotiations in Congress over a sweeping police reform bill in honor of George Floyd are now stalled over whether to eliminate qualified immunity. "There are big policy trade offs when you have an immunity for government officials," said law professor Christopher Walker at The Ohio State University. "If you look at the legislation that the Congress is considering, some of it doesn't get rid of qualified immunity entirely, it only narrows it." More than two dozen states are considering their own limits on legal immunity for cops, but Oliva is hoping the Supreme Court will take his case and set a new national standard. "The qualified immunity is basically too broad," he said. "It’s not specific." The Court will decide as soon as Monday whether or not it will hear Oliva’s case and wade into the national debate over legal immunity for law enforcement officers."

Time for equal justice.  No special treatment of the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.

Excessive force conviction.  How could it take nearly five years?  In follow-up to a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, The Washington Post reports:

"A federal court judge on Friday sentenced a former St. Paul, Minn., police officer to six years in prison after a jury found him guilty of a civil rights violation for beating an unarmed Black man who was mistaken for a suspect nearly five years ago. A federal jury in 2019 convicted former St. Paul officer Brett Palkowitsch of using excessive force against an unarmed civilian after he brutally kicked and severely injured Frank Amal Baker and let a police dog maul him."

Jackbooted piece of shit unfit to be an officer.

"In June 2016, Palkowitsch and other police officers responded to a call about a large street fight in St. Paul, where dispatchers said an “unidentified black male with dreadlocks and a white t-shirt” was seen carrying a gun."

Here's how it went down:

"After arriving at the scene, Palkowitsch and another officer found no evidence of a street fight but noticed a man who they said matched the suspect’s description, sitting in his car talking on a cellphone. One of the officers told Baker to get out of the car, as the police dog barked loudly at him, according to a criminal complaint. Seconds later, the officer released the dog, which knocked Baker to the ground and started mauling his leg. While Baker was on the ground screaming in pain, Palkowitsch kicked Baker in the torso continuously, breaking seven ribs and causing his lungs to collapse, according to a Department of Justice statement. According to court records, Palkowitsch testified he “firmly believed” the person on the ground matching the description was in fact the person who was seen with a weapon and that he had “acted under the assumption” that the person being bitten by the dog had a weapon on him. The police found no gun at the scene and no evidence that Baker, a 52-year-old grandfather who lived in the neighborhood, had been involved in any fight, the statement said. In a court hearing Friday, the former officer waived the right to appeal his conviction and offered a tearful apology for his actions to Baker and to other members of the St. Paul Police Department, several of whom testified against Palkowitsch during the 2019 trial. “I hope that today gives you a little bit of closure, but I know for the rest of your life it’s something you’re going to have to deal with. For the rest of my life, it’s something that I’m going to have to live with as well. But from the bottom of my heart, I’m sorry,” Palkowitsch said, according to Minnesota Public Radio News."

While this guy is unfit to be an officer and the sentence way too light, at least he had the decency to finally own up to his crime.  Hat's off to the fellow officers who testified against him.

"District Judge Wilhelmina Wright said at the hearing Friday that Palkowitsch had “flagrantly abused” his authority, the statement added. “Law enforcement officers take an oath to serve and protect the public,” an FBI agent from the Minneapolis Field Office said in the statement. “When an officer betrays that oath and violates a person’s civil rights, that officer must be held accountable. Our community, and our profession, deserve no less.”

That's right.  No question.  This problem remains a problem all across our country.  An exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Uncommon Valor:

"According to authorities, two veteran officers who were at the scene and witnessed Palkowitsch’s actions reported him to their supervisor and later testified against him at trial."

Time for the Blue Wall to finally come down.

"Baker, a concert promoter, told Minnesota Public Radio that he accepted the former officer’s apology but said he didn’t feel it was sincere. He added that since the incident, he has struggled with long-lasting health problems, including difficulty breathing. “He made my life a living hell,” Baker said."

ICE raw nazism.  CBS News reports:

"The Trump administration deported at least 348 migrant parents without ensuring they wanted to leave their children behind in the U.S. after being forcibly separated from them, according to a government watchdog report made public on Monday. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) even deported some parents who told deportation officers they wanted their children to come with them, the investigation by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Inspector General found. In May 2018, for example, a migrant father asked to be deported with his daughter, who had been separated from him, the DHS investigators found. ICE deported him the following month without his daughter. DHS inspectors wrote that ICE records indicated that additional parents who said they wanted to be deported with their children were nevertheless expelled from the country without them. "Therefore, at least some of ICE's removals of parents without their children were intentional, and not just inadvertent incidents resulting from human error or inaccurate records," the 28-page report said. Even when ICE recorded a parent's decision to allow their children to remain in the U.S., some of the documents were "significantly flawed," the report said, noting the finding suggested "that not all parents who purportedly waived reunification did so knowingly and voluntarily." The findings released Monday contradict statements made by high-ranking Trump administration officials, including former DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, who indicated that migrant parents who were deported without their children opted to leave them behind in the U.S. "There was no parent who has been deported to my knowledge without multiple opportunities to take their children with them," Nielsen testified before a House committee in March 2019.  Despite these statements, DHS investigators found that ICE did not have "clear guidance" on documenting or processing decisions by parents on whether they wanted their separated children to remain on U.S. soil without them. "The report is consistent with the horrifying facts we discovered in the litigation: that parents were deported without the opportunity to bring their children with them," Lee Gelernt, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) lawyer representing separated families in federal court, told CBS News. "Throughout the litigation we learned that some parents were even told their child would join them on the plane only to have the plane take off without the child."

'Hogtying.'  Still perpetrated by the criminal, murderous, jackbooted bastards in blue.  NBC News reports:

"He died like an animal': Some police still 'hogtie' people despite risks."

Why is this legal?  How many more deaths will it take?

"The Justice Department warned 25 years ago that people can die when police tie handcuffed wrists to bound ankles. Some police are still doing it."

Where's Congress?  Where's Biden?  Where are state legislatures and governors?  Out to lunch?

"On a warm October day in 2018, George and Mary Smith drove to police headquarters, where they had a 2 p.m. appointment to watch video of the death of their son Marcus. Nearly everything they knew about the September 2018 incident in which he died came from a Greensboro Police Department press release, which said he had been suicidal and combative before collapsing as police tried to help him. A lawyer had secured their right to watch the body camera footage. When they got to headquarters, Mary changed her mind. "A mother doesn't want to see her child fall off a bicycle, much less getting beat to death," she said. "And that's when I decided I did not want to watch." George watched the video, and left headquarters convinced police had lied about his son's death. "It was terrifying, the only thing Marcus wanted was help," he said. "I don't know where they got the suicidal or combative or collapsing from. I didn't see none of that."

Police routinely lie like hell to protect their own.

"Like George Floyd under the knee of Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin, an autopsy found Smith was killed by positional asphyxia, though not by a knee on the neck, but by a controversial and widely banned practice called the "hogtie." The video showed that Marcus Smith was in distress and begging police to take him to the hospital or call an ambulance."

Here's how the savages in blue responded:

"Officers pushed him face down on the street and tied a belt around his ankles and attached it to his cuffed hands so tightly his knees were lifted off the pavement. On the video, his last coherent words were "Help me." "That's how my brother died," said Kimberly Smith, his younger sister, who watched the video later. "He died like an animal."

It's called murder.

"Hogtying is a troublesome word and a dangerous act. It involves putting a person on his stomach and tying his cuffed hands to his bound feet behind his back with an adjustable nylon belt, a device known as a "hobble." Police officers have said the hogtie position is used to restrain individuals who can't be restrained any other way and would otherwise pose a danger to themselves and those around them. The hobble device can be used to restrain someone's legs without placing them in the compromised hogtie position. The Department of Justice warned against hogtying as far back as 1995, in a bulletin instructing police how to prevent deaths in custody. The paper instructed officers to move the suspect off his stomach as soon as he was handcuffed, and included this directive: "Never tie the handcuffs to a leg or ankle restraint."

Again, why hasn't this been outlawed?

"Many police departments, including New York and Los Angeles, have banned hogtying for decades. But a joint investigation by NBC News and The Marshall Project found that a dangerous practice roundly rejected by experts has persisted in many places because of outdated guidelines and lax oversight. And the use of the hobble and hogtie may be even more widespread than can be determined because there are no national reporting requirements and many police departments don't keep track."

How many more need to die at the hands of the criminal, murderous, jackbooted bastards in blue before law enforcement is properly regulated?

"Nationwide, NBC News and The Marshall Project identified at least 23 deaths involving hogtying or a hobble in law enforcement custody since 2010. From California to Maine, police have appeared to use a hobble to either tie a person's hands and feet together behind them, put pressure on their back with body weight, or leave them prone for longer than recommended. Those cases include a chemical engineer in Mississippi who police said was acting strangely after taking LSD; an unarmed man running naked through his Alabama hometown; and a man who died on a Tacoma, Washington, sidewalk after police deemed his actions suspicious. At least 13 people were mentally ill or in mental crises. Of those who died, 12 were white, nine were Black, and two were Hispanic. Many departments do not track the use of the hobble device, or when it is used to hogtie, in their use-of-force data. But in those that do keep records, the hobble has been used hundreds of times in recent years. Over the past five years, police in Aurora, Colorado, have used the hobble on roughly 350 people, nearly half of whom were Black. In Greensboro, court records show that in the four years before the death of Marcus Smith, Greensboro police used a hobble device to hogtie at least 275 people, two-thirds of whom were Black."

Get this:

"NBC News and The Marshall Project reviewed the policy manuals for departments in the 30 largest cities in the U.S. Twenty-two have clear language prohibiting hogtying or attaching hands and feet behind a person's back. But in Charlotte, North Carolina; Columbus, Ohio; Houston and Indianapolis, officers are allowed to restrain a person in this manner in certain circumstances or with certain provisions. Charlotte Police Department policy advises officers to avoid hogtying, but does not forbid it. Columbus police officers are told to make sure to provide slack in the rope that ties the hands and feet together. In Houston, only officers who are specifically trained in the technique can use it. Indianapolis warns officers to closely monitor people who have their legs and arms restrained behind the back. In the Boston and Milwaukee manuals, there is no mention of hogtying or the hobble device. When questioned, both departments said they do not provide officers with a hobble. The manuals in Nashville and Detroit have no language that directly addresses hobbles or hogtying. There's a reason for these discrepancies. In addition to the lack of national reporting requirements, many departments avoid using the word hogtie. They use phrases like maximal restraint, four-point restraint, hobble, RIPP Hobble or Total Appendage Restraint Procedure (TARP)."

It's called bullshit.  Hypocritical, murderous bullshit.

The report goes on and on in great detail.  What will it take for law enforcement to be properly regulated and accountable?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Law enforcement sexually assaults its own.  Seatbelts on.  The following is beyond pitiful.  It's pathetic.  Criminal.  The Washington Post reports:

"Female officers were recruited for undercover ‘bachelor parties.’ Instead, they were sexually assaulted, they say. When an officer overseeing the human trafficking unit at a Texas police department interviewed female deputies about participating in undercover operations, he asked them the same question: “Do you have what it takes?” What it took, the women now claim, was attending fake “bachelor parties” where they were asked to act as prostitutes, wear revealing clothes and drink excessive alcohol in the company of drunk male supervisors. Those senior officers with Harris County Constable Precinct 1 repeatedly sexually assaulted their female colleagues at the fake parties and told them they would need to do “whatever it takes to make an arrest,” according to a federal lawsuit filed by four women on Monday. (The Washington Post does not name victims of alleged sexual assault.) The lawsuit against Harris County Constable Alan Rosen, Assistant Chief Chris Gore, and Lt. Shane Rigdon alleges the senior officers handpicked young Latina women with no undercover training to participate in the “bachelor parties,” where they molested them in front of colleagues and supervisors. When the women reported the behavior and asked to be taken off the unit, the lawsuit states, they were demoted and mocked. “These women wanted to show that they had what it takes to make a difference, but Chief Gore and his lieutenants were really saying, ‘How far are you willing to let us go for these stings?’ ” Bill Ogden, an attorney representing two of the women, told The Post."

Get this.  Would be laughable if the allegations were not as serious as they are:

"Rosen denied the women’s allegations and said an internal investigation he ordered several months ago, which was prompted by a “concern” shared by a “third party,” concluded no policies or laws were violated at the undercover parties, which were meant to catch trafficked sex workers who may lead police to their bosses. “I have a zero-tolerance stance against sexual assault and sexual harassment and would never allow a hostile work environment as alleged,” Rosen said in a statement. Neither Gore nor Rigdon immediately responded to messages from The Post by early Tuesday."

Surprised?  Why?  How do you credibly defend the indefensible?  How?

"Gore recruited the first female officer involved in the lawsuit for undercover operations in 2019, according to the lawsuit. But the alleged abuse began before her first assignment. She said she was ordered by Gore to buy new and revealing clothes for the sting, and that the senior officer also asked her to send photos of her modeling the clothes. He allegedly texted that one outfit was not provocative enough, the lawsuit states. Then, Gore allegedly made her try on the dress in his office and ordered her to accompany him to a sex shop where he could “pick out some props” and “work on chemistry with her.” Gore allegedly made inappropriate comments during the shopping trip and told the officer that she was not allowed to work with any other male officers because she was “his.” While at the parties, the officer said she was repeatedly touched and kissed without her permission. She said Gore, who allegedly only wore boxers and was drunk, would lie on top of the women while fondling their breasts and bodies. Gore and Rigdon, the lawsuit states, also pressured female deputies to drink shots of alcohol to “bond” and “loosen up and have a good time.” The female officer participated in two operations and then asked to be removed from the undercover team. Her request was granted only after she was ridiculed and denigrated, she said."

How does something like this go on as long as it did?

"Two months later, Gore recruited a second female officer, who said she was asked to perform lap dances for her supervisors. Gore usually removed her bra at the beginning of the parties, the lawsuit states. Once she reported Gore and Rigdon’s behavior, she said she was immediately transferred out of the unit to less prestigious duties. A third female officer recruited for the operation said that although the undercover parties were “gruesome” and “gut-wrenching,” her worst experience happened in August 2019. She said Rosen ordered her to go undercover to a massage business suspected of sexual assaults “and wait to be sexually assaulted to give the raid signal,” court records state. The officer alleges she was raped at the establishment. A fourth woman who was hired as a human trafficking advocate reported the alleged abuse the women officers faced to the department’s supervisors in 2020. She said she was asked to keep quiet and was then transferred out of the unit. When she spoke months later to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, she said, she was told the unit had to deal with the complaints internally. She was soon fired. Dane Schiller, a spokesman for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, told KPRC that her complaint was passed on to the department’s Internal Affairs unit. The women, who filed the lawsuit seeking monetary damages in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, said at a news conference on Monday that they want the lawsuit to stop a pervasive practice of sexual harassment in law enforcement. “We are here to speak truth to power so that this never happens to any more women and children ever again,” one of the women told reporters."

Coup de grace?  Get this:

"After the news conference, Rosen said none of the women ever made a formal complaint about the incidents. The women’s interviews with department investigators contradict the lawsuit’s allegations, he said. “This lawsuit is an effort to impugn the good reputation of the hard-working men and women of the Precinct One Constable’s Office,” Rosen said in a statement. “I believe our system of due process works and that justice and truth will prevail as facts in this case come to light.”

That right?

"Ogden said the sexual harassment the women experienced has “ruined” their personal and professional lives. “It has affected them for promotions and they have to live with what happened to them,” Ogden told The Post. He added: “They were not treated as police officers whatsoever. They were treated as objects.”

'Stupid is as stupid does.'  CBS News reports:

"Texas Governor Greg Abbott vowed he would sign legislation that would make it harder for communities to defund the police after a shooting Saturday in Austin. The Republican governor retweeted the Austin Police Association president's information about how long it took officers to respond to the shooting, adding: "This is what defunding the police looks like."

Think so?  Disingenuous bullshit.  Wake up.

"Austin Police Association President Kenneth Casaday tweeted that a call about the shooting came around 5:35 a.m. on Sunday morning. "No units available city wide for 12 minutes," he said. He said Austin police arrived on the scene 16 minutes after the call came out and one victim was critically injured after being shot in the head.

This is what defunding the police looks like.

Austin is incapable of timely responding to a victim shot in the head.

    Texas won't tolerate this.

We're about to pass a law-that I will sign-that will prevent cities from defunding police.

Sanity & safety will return. https://t.co/UtQVoUXzBL
    — Greg Abbott (@GregAbbott_TX) May 24, 2021"

In fact, quite the opposite.  Abbott hasn't thought this through.  What nazi ever does?

Here's what happened:

"Police say there appeared to be a disturbance between two drivers, and that it is possible that a bystander was shot in the head, according to CBS Austin. No arrests have been made."

Fascinating, isn't it?  That's all that was released?  Where's the transparency?

"The bill states a municipality must hold an election if it proposes a budget for a fiscal year that – compared with the previous year's budget — reduces funding, reallocates funds or reduces the number of police officers the department is allowed to employ. The bill passed in the state's Senate but was postponed by the House on Sunday."

What ever happened to local control over local issues?  Why does our nazi Governor who supposedly believes in 'conservative' principles wish to dictate to municipalities what they can and cannot do vis a vis funding of law enforcement?

Here's precisely why this remains disingenuous bullshit, deliberate distortion of reality by the Governor and the Legislature:

"While Austin "defunded" its police department last year, supporters have said "defunding" isn't about doing away with all funding for police departments. The practice is often a reallocation of some money from law enforcement to other services that could help the community. Several other U.S. cities have also defunded their police, some allocating funds to mental health specialists who can help answer distress calls. More than 55 law enforcement agencies in Colorado now participate in co-responder programs, where law enforcement is paired with behavioral health specialists, according to CBS Denver. A similar program is being tested in two New York City neighborhoods. "Police officers are called things that most people would never believe," NYPD Lieutenant Edwin Raymond told CBSN Originals for the documentary "What Does It Mean to Defund the Police?" "Pretty much the day is usually emotionally disturbed persons, car accidents and medical emergencies," Raymond said. Many of those types of incidents, he believes, could be handled without law enforcement."

That's right.  No question.  Our clueless Governor, however, cannot, will not, be confused by the truth:

"However, Abbott has been a staunch opponent of defunding the police, a movement that gained traction in the wake of Georgia Floyd's death one year ago."

The Governor cluelessly ignores all the murders of innocent, unarmed civilians perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.

The following is disingenuous bullshit not so cleverly designed to divert attention from the reality of all these murders, rampant abuse perpetrated by officers all across the country:

"Last year, The Texas Municipal Police Association put up two billboards along Interstate 35 entering Austin after the city council voted to cut Austin police budget. One of them reads: "Warning! Austin defunded police. Enter at your own risk!" The second says, "Limited support next 20 miles," according to the association. Abbott tweeted about the billboards with the hashtag #TexasBacksTheBlue. At the time, Abbott also called on every Texan and candidate for public office to sign a pledge against defunding the state's police departments and post it on social media to show support for law enforcement."

What law enforcement nazi wouldn't?

The following determinedly, intentionally ignores all the murders and other abuse of innocent civilians by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue in Texas and throughout our formerly great country:

"Defunding our police departments would invite crime into our communities and put people in danger," reads the pledge. "That is why I pledge to support any measure that discourages or stops efforts to defund police departments in Texas."

A raucous boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Seig Heil!, Governor.  When will you fascist bastards finally wake up to the fact hundreds of thousands of our best and brightest heroically died fighting your nazi ideology?  Second World War European Theater.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Follow-up on the press phone records issue.  NBC News reports:

"President Joe Biden says he won’t allow the Department of Justice to seize journalists’ phone records and emails, calling the practice “wrong” in a significant departure from his predecessors. “Absolutely, positively, it’s wrong. It’s simply, simply wrong,” he told a reporter Friday at the White House."

Remains a violation of the First Amendment Freedom of the Press.

"His comments come as CNN reported Thursday that the Trump administration Justice Department secretly obtained the 2017 phone records of one of their correspondents, the latest revelation of an apparent leak investigation aimed at identifying a journalist’s sources that was launched during the last administration. The Washington Post also disclosed that the Justice Department had last year seized phone records belonging to three of its journalists who covered the Russia investigation. When asked if Biden would prevent his Justice Department from seeking reporters' phone records, Biden responded: “I won't let that happen.”

Here's the problem:

"His comments, however, seem to contradict those made earlier by White House press secretary Jen Psaki when asked how the administration viewed the practice of obtaining journalists’ records. Psaki suggested that the Justice Department would use the “Holder model,” a reference to Obama-era Attorney General Eric Holder. Under Holder, the Justice Department announced revised guidelines for obtaining records from the news media during criminal leak investigations, removing language that news organizations said was ambiguous and requiring additional levels of review before a journalist could be subpoenaed, but it did not end the practice. In 2013, the Justice Department secretly obtained records of a number of Associated Press journalists in a leak investigation. The White House offered no immediate clarification of the discrepancy."

The following is precisely why the American public cannot afford to allow the Department of Justice to trample the First Amendment Freedom of the Press.  It is exactly what could happen here if we tolerate abrogation of the United States Constitution by autocrats.  The Washington Post reports:

"A video purporting to show dissident Belarusian journalist Roman Protasevich confessing to organizing “mass riots” has met with skepticism from scholars, family members and human rights groups who say that there is little doubt that he was coerced. The 29-second video surfaced Monday evening, a day after Belarusian authorities forced a plane with Protasevich on board to land so that he could be arrested, roiling European aviation and prompting an E.U. agreement to impose sanctions. In the footage, Protasevich, seated against a blank wall in a brightly lit room, says that he is being treated “as correctly as possible” and is not experiencing any health problems. The detained journalist’s demeanor in the video alarmed his father, Dzmitry, who told Reuters that his son’s nose appeared to have been broken, “because the shape of it is changed,” and that his remarks were out of character. “It’s not his words, it’s not his intonation of speech, he is acting very reserved, and you can see he is nervous,” Dzmitry Protasevich said. “My son cannot admit to creating the mass disorders, because he just didn’t do any such thing.” In the video, Protasevich’s face appears to be marked with abrasions and bruises, suggesting that authorities subjected him to “torture or other ill-treatment” before recording the supposed confession, Amnesty International spokesman Alexander Artemyev told The Washington Post."

This is precisely why the traitorous Trump nazi and his supporters remain an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Such autocratic ideology on either the political right or left extremes is precisely what leads to the following:

"Belarus has a reputation for using intimidation and coercion to force confessions from political prisoners, as a 2018 report from the U.S. secretary of state on human rights abuses in the Eastern European nation noted. Last year, opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya raised suspicions when she appeared to read from a script in a video where she requested that supporters refrain from attending anti-government demonstrations. She later said that her family had faced threats. Tikhanovskaya, who has since fled to Lithuania, said Tuesday that there was “no doubt” that Protasevich had been tortured and was “under pressure” when the video was filmed. Jennifer Mathers, a senior lecturer in international politics at Aberystwyth University, told The Post that Protasevich’s supposed confession video “fits a longer historical pattern that goes back to Soviet times of demanding false confessions, especially where there is no real evidence to support a conviction.” She noted that the jailed journalist appears to be speaking from a script in the video and that his statements are “radically different from his pre-detention position.” The idea that someone who has devoted his professional life to the pro-democracy movement in Belarus, at considerable personal risk, would freely confess to security services is “not believable,” Mathers added."

This is precisely how dissidents are treated by autocratic regimes whether on the extreme left or right of the political spectrum.

"World leaders have also approached the video with skepticism. President Biden said in a statement Monday that it appeared to have been “made under duress” and called for Protasevich’s immediate release. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted Tuesday that the video “makes for deeply distressing viewing” and added, “Belarus’ actions will have consequences.”

Time for action.  Not empty hollow rhetoric.

“All I can say is the behavior of the Belarus regime does not lend itself to think that in any way this statement was offered voluntarily,” Therese Coffey, a British government minister, told Sky News on Tuesday. Belarus’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The video of Protasevich’s alleged confession was distributed in multiple channels on the social media and messaging site Telegram that are allied with Belarus’s strongman president, Alexander Lukashenko. An additional video purporting to show a confession from Sofia Sapega, Protasevich’s girlfriend, was released Tuesday evening, raising similar concerns about coercion. In the video, Sapega says that she operated a Telegram channel that shared law enforcement officers’ personal information. Protasevich, 26, helped found an alternative Telegram channel that helped document and coordinate protests against the government last year. His mother, Nataliya, told the Committee to Project Journalists on Monday that she fears for his safety because he has severe heart problems that have prevented him from serving in the military, and that she had received word that he might have been hospitalized after his arrest. Belarusian authorities said Monday that Protasevich was not hospitalized and was being held in a detention center in Minsk, a claim that could not be verified from the video."

NPR reports:

"The brazen arrest of journalist Roman Protasevich by the Belarusian government, in which it forced the international flight he was aboard to land in Minsk, has sent a chill down the spine of the international community. Protasevich, the former editor and founder of Nexta, an anti-regime blog and social media channel, has been instrumental in leading protests against authoritarian President Alexander Lukashenko. The unprecedented steps taken by Belarus to capture a fugitive dissident have broad implications. Political leaders, human rights advocates and international law experts are calling Protasevich's detainment tantamount to an act of state terrorism. "It's a threat to human rights. It's a threat to democracy. And it's a threat to civil aviation," says Allen Weiner, a senior lecturer in law at Stanford Law School. Protasevich's arrest is another example of "transnational repression." In recent years authoritarian governments have become ever-bolder in their efforts to silence opposition or threats well beyond their own borders. Governments are reaching across continents to silence dissent among diasporas and exiles. "Transnational repression" comes in the form of assassinations, illegal deportations, abductions, online threats, and intimidation of family members, according to Freedom House, a U.S.-based nonprofit conducting research on democracy, political freedom, and human rights.  It is a daily assault on civilians everywhere," Freedom House says."

Sadly with Trump in power this was precisely where the United States was headed.  The end result of either political extreme, right or left, is always the same, -- an autocracy.

"In the case of Protasevich "they reached into the skies to take somebody," says Robert English, a professor and director of Central European Studies at the University of Southern California. The Belarusian dissident was a passenger on a Ryanair flight which had taken off in Athens, Greece, and was on its way to Vilnius, Lithuania. As the plane crossed Belarusian airspace, air traffic controllers told the pilots that a bomb was aboard, and ordered them to make an emergency landing in Minsk. A military jet was sent to escort the plane down. Once on the ground, officials boarded the plane and arrested Protasevich. No explosives were found. Protasevich's arrest is "beyond the pale," and takes the world to a more dangerous level, English says. The transnational arrest or murder of dissidents has a chilling effect, Freedom House says. "Even those who are not directly targeted may decide based on the threat against their community to remain silent," the group says. "This is true of the most extreme violence: a single killing or rendition sends ripples throughout a huge circle of people." Belarus's actions could set a dangerous precedent. Belarus showed a disregard for international law and aviation rules in its arrest of Protasevich, Weiner says. "The concern is that if those rules are not abided by or there don't appear to be costs for disregarding those rules, then other people will decide, well, maybe I will find it to be convenient to violate the rules," he says."

Exactly, what Trump did while in power.  Currently even while out of power, precisely why he and his followers who continue to falsely claim the 2020 election was stolen continue to present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  His gutless stooges in the Republican Party continue to do all they can to suppress the vote all across our formerly great country.  Clearly, they delusionally believe they can't remain in power unless they suppress the vote.  This remains nothing more than a blatant attempt to impose an autocracy:

"In the past decade, the world has seen "a decline in democracy and a rise in authoritarianism," Weiner says. What's happening in Belarus is an example of this, he adds. The international community needs "a firm and effective response to transnational acts of repression across borders," to discourage other governments from emulating Lukashenko, English says. That concern prompted leaders from Western nations on Monday to swiftly denounce the actions and demand the release of Protasevich. The European Union on Monday called on all airlines based in the bloc to avoid flying through Belarusian airspace. The EU also asked the European Council to ban Belarus-based airlines from flying through EU airspace or landing at its airports. Additionally, the leaders called on the council to adopt further targeted economic sanctions against Belarusian officials. "Ordinary citizens' lives were in danger," Ireland's minister for European affairs, Thomas Byrne, told NPR's All Things Considered. "This is wrong, it's illegal and quite frankly it could happen to any of us, so we cannot allow this to happen anywhere in the world."

Precisely, why the EU needs to provide fighter escort for commercial aircraft flying near Belarus.

Time to rethink our relationship with the Russians:

"This further complicates relations between Russia and the U.S. Russia is a key ally of Belarus, and the incident comes at a time when President Biden is trying to stabilize relations with Moscow. Though no direct connection has been made between Lukashenko's actions and Russia, the Kremlin is clearly showing support for Belarus. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told journalists on Monday that Belarus had treated the incident with an "absolutely reasonable approach," according to The Moscow Times. Margarita Simonyan, the head of Russian state-sponsored international television channel RT, tweeted that the hijacking makes her "envy" Belarus. Lukashenko, she wrote, "performed beautifully." Biden labeled the arrest of Protasevich a "direct affront to international norms" and joined European allies in calling for an international investigation. "There will come a huge round of pressure to do something really severe on Belarus," English says. "And that will include a lot of people calling for severe actions and more sanctions against Russia, just when Biden is trying to turn the corner with Russia."

Making a deal with the devil remains no more than that, -- a deal with the devil.

Reverse racism.  CBS News reports:

"Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced Wednesday that she will only be giving one-on-one interviews to reporters of color around the two-year anniversary of her tenure as mayor, saying the City Hall press corps is "overwhelmingly white" in a city that's much more diverse. Lightfoot said she ran on being intentional about diversity and said newsrooms need to do better on diversity, too. She notified the media of her plan to restrict one-on-one interviews to reporters of color in a letter to reporters and a series of tweets. "By now, you may have heard the news that on the occasion of the two-year anniversary of my inauguration as mayor of this great city, I will be exclusively providing one-on-one interviews with journalists of color," Lightfoot wrote in a letter to local media outlets Wednesday. "As a person of color, I have throughout my adult life done everything that I can to fight for diversity and inclusion in every institution that I have been a part of and being mayor makes me uniquely situated to shine a spotlight on this most important issue." "I have been struck since my first day on the campaign trial back in 2018 by the overwhelming whiteness and maleness of Chicago media outlets, editorial boards, the political press corps, and yes, the City Hall press corps specifically," she added. "... While there are women of color who sometimes cover my administration, there are zero women of color assigned to the City Hall beat. Zero. I find this unacceptable and I hope you do too." Lightfoot urged newsrooms to "hire reporters of color — and especially women of color — to cover Chicago politics, and City Hall in particular." She continued, "If you only have a white reporter covering City Hall, make sure there's a person of color working with them as well."

Nothing more than blatant reverse racism, egregious hypocrisy:

"While some praised the move as working toward equity, some journalists of color criticized the announcement. "I am a Latino reporter @chicagotribune whose interview request was granted for today," tweeted Chicago Tribune reporter Gregory Pratt. "However, I asked the mayor's office to lift its condition on others and when they said no, we respectfully canceled. Politicians don't get to choose who covers them." Other reporters pointed out instances in which the mayor's office had failed to respond to requests for comment from journalists of color. "For the record, this Asian-Latina @WBEZNews reporter has been asking @chicagosmayor for several days to declare her stance on this state bill--a bill that would force Chicago to replace lead water lines...by 2056. She won't answer," tweeted WBEZ reporter Monica Eng. In her letter, Lightfoot said her office will continue to respond to media requests but will continue to push for changes in local newsrooms if they don't happen soon. She did not say how long she plans to decline to be interviewed by White journalists."

Follow-up on the Israeli aggressor.  The Washington Post reports:

"As a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas militants held into Friday evening, attention shifted from the 11-day conflict to the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, potential political fallout for Israel’s embattled prime minister and renewed tensions in Jerusalem. Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said “riots” broke out Friday afternoon, following prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City, involving hundreds of Palestinians who “threw rocks and petrol bombs at police officers.” He said they were then dispersed by Israeli police and that 16 of the demonstrators were arrested. Twenty-one Palestinians were injured, according to Mohammad Fityani, a spokesman for the Palestinian Red Crescent. Similar confrontations, in which Israeli forces shot rubber-coated bullets towards crowds of stone-hurling Palestinians, occurred on Friday afternoon in cities throughout the West Bank. Flare-ups around the sacred compound in Jerusalem’s Old City, known as the Temple Mount by Jews and as the Noble Sanctuary by Muslims, triggered the Israel-Hamas conflict 12 days ago. “The Israeli government, by continuing its policy of provocation, attacks and incursions, is challenging international efforts that have been made to reach a calm, and stop the violence and escalation in Jerusalem and the occupied Palestinian territories, and to stop the aggression on Gaza,” said a statement from the office of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, according to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa."

Raw nazism.  Direct abrogation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, that is, freedom from religion.  ABC News(AP) reports:

"The bright pink building in an eclectic neighborhood of Mississippi's capital goes by different names. To the anti-abortion protesters whose demonstrations have sparked a noise ordinance, it is an “abortion mill.”

How is it that when the clinic is only open three or four days a week?

"To those who work and volunteer there, the facility known as the “pink house” provides the last safe haven in Mississippi for women who choose to have an abortion. Now, the only abortion clinic in Mississippi is facing what could be its biggest challenge. The U.S. Supreme Court said Monday that it will hear arguments this fall over a Mississippi law that would limit abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy — a case designed to test how far a court remade under former President Donald Trump is willing to go to restrict the right to an abortion."

Readers are reminded abortion was illegal in Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy.

"The 2018 Mississippi law has been on hold because of the court fight. If justices allow it to take effect, that wouldn't have a huge impact on who can get an abortion in Mississippi. Health care providers at Jackson Women's Health Organization don't perform abortions after 16 weeks. But clinic director Shannon Brewer said upholding the ban would prompt lawmakers in conservative states to push to more restrictions. “They’ll steadily chip away at it. And then once they know they can, they’re going to constantly do it,” Brewer said Tuesday."

Forget?  The nazi way.

"As states have enacted stricter laws and the number of clinics has declined, thousands of women have crossed state lines for abortion. A 2019 analysis by The Associated Press found at least 276,000 women terminated pregnancies outside their home state between 2012 and 2017. In pockets of the Midwest, South and Mountain West, the number of women terminating a pregnancy in another state rose considerably, particularly where a lack of clinics meant the closest provider was in another state or where less restrictive policies made it easier and quicker to have an abortion there."

Yet, women who had no transportation, or couldn't afford to travel, were out of luck courtesy of the nazi element desperate to impose its perverse ideology and religious views on all.

"With no doctors in Mississippi willing to do abortions, five out-of-state doctors rotate through Jackson. Some patients travel hours from small towns in one of the poorest states of the country — first for counseling and then 24 hours later for the abortion."

-- Patronizing, condescending bullshit to make it that much more difficult to obtain an abortion.  Raw nazism.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

"One woman who has ended two pregnancies at the clinic said she has never had a moment's regret over those decisions. At the time, she was in her 30s and did what was best for herself and her young child, she said. While at the clinic, she and the other women talked to each other as they waited. She recalled their stories: One had been raped by her own father; another had been raped by her boss; another was in medical school. “I want women to understand that it’s OK and it’s not something that you have to feel guilty about,” she said. She spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because she’s in a court dispute with her child’s father and she believes speaking publicly about her abortions could hurt her in that case."

Here's the problem.  It's called raw nazism imposed by insane fascists:

"Outside the clinic, anti-abortion protesters face off against volunteer escorts. Demonstrators often try to block cars from entering the clinic parking lot. Some pray, sing or hold posters with graphic photos of aborted fetuses. Others climb ladders to look over a fence that surrounds the clinic, yelling at the volunteer escorts who call themselves “pink house defenders” and the patients they accompany inside."

Who the hell are these nazis to try to impose their perverse ideological and religious views on those seeking medical services?  It's none of their goddamned business.

"Doug Lane, president of Pastors for Life, is a frequent presence in front of the pink building where he tries to persuade women and girls to forgo abortion. He said he and other protesters are exercising their free-speech rights and they sometimes change women's minds, directing them to a nearby crisis pregnancy center that offers ultrasounds and baby clothing."

It's not 'free speech,' you disingenuous, lying son of a bitch.  What it is remains harassment:

“We have a right to be heard, even by people who disagree with us and object to us,” Lane said."

Wake up, you disingenuous, lying son of a bitch.  It is not free speechIt is harassment.  If law enforcement was properly doing its job, you and your cohorts would be arrested, jailed, and prosecuted.  Sadly, not possible in a de facto fascist police-state, democratic republic in name only.

"The protests outside the clinic have become a flashpoint in its Jackson neighborhood. Two restaurants sit directly across a street from the building. Some days, protesters are silent or pray quietly to themselves. Other times, they use bullhorns that can be heard inside the restaurants, even with doors closed. Cars driving by honk in support or admonishment. On a recent day, families at one of the restaurants ate outside at a cluster of tables no more than 20 feet (6 meters) from two children sitting silently holding signs saying, “We are ambassadors of Jesus Christ.” A woman passed back and forth praying under her breath and holding a sign: “Pray to end abortion.”

Insanity.

"In 2019, the Jackson City Council enacted an ordinance to limit noise outside medical facilities. Some council members said their action was in response to complaints about activity outside the abortion clinic, but the city backed down and repealed the ordinance a year later after a lawsuit challenged the rule."

Pathetic.  No more than legalization of harassment.

"Nathan Glenn co-owns the two restaurants across from the clinic. He said his family has been in business there about 20 years, and when the restaurants opened he didn’t know they were near an abortion clinic. He said he respects people’s right to protest but they block the entrance to the restaurants and yell at diners."

How is all that legal?  How?

"Clinic director Brewer said all the restrictions and protests aren't going to stop abortions in Mississippi — they just serve to make it more dangerous. She said the people who oppose abortion pretend to care about the women and their future children but if they really cared, they'd spend more time taking care of children once they're born by paying for things like better health care or child care."

Not how the nazi element operates in our formerly great country.

“It’s not going to stop abortions in Mississippi. Abortions were going on in Mississippi before Roe v. Wade,” Brewer said. “So I think that they’re not thinking it through, or they just really don’t care.”

If there is no reproductive freedom, there is no freedom at all.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor?  Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
