Getting online has gotten increasingly difficult and expensive last four months.  Worse, access is outside since most establishments are closed or limited to drive-thru operations.  Lap tops are not designed to be used in such an environment.  Extremely difficult to see the screen.  Time for the readership to step up and provide assistance.  TC 7-24-20

In response to the pandemic, government quickly imposed draconian restrictions making access to public wifi exceptionally difficult.  Consequently, editions of this publication will be briefer and posted as regularly as possible until circumstances change.  TC 3-20-20

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable.  Time to step up.  Now.

Brother dearest.  ... Been awhile, hasn't it, Bro?  A little antsy?  Wondering when the next shoe is about to fall, that is, when you'll be fully exposed for the thieving son of a bitch you truly are?  Patience.  All in good time, good buddy.  When I'm damned good and ready.  Timing just right.  After all, a son of a bitch who's stolen his father's estate needs to be fully exposed publicly for whom and what he is, don't you think?  Indeed, a public service for your neighbors, professional associates, family, and friends, etc..

Conveniently, forget?  Others need to protect themselves against a fraud who masquerades as both a teacher and a counselor, no?  -- How the hell did you ever pass an MMPI some forty years ago to get hired?  You're not stable.  Have not been.  ... Must have really been pissed off at the old man to rip off an estate, no?  How much did you steal while he was alive and supposedly under your care?

How much did you bribe law enforcement to ignore a complaint I filed with them years before the old man died?  How much did you bribe the prosecutor to ignore a complaint filed with her several years ago?  How much?  Use the old man's money to bribe the bitch?  Her cohorts?  Your law enforcement shysters?  While there may indeed be no justice from a corrupt system, fortunately, I do have a way to publicly expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.

... Unlike our grandmother who scrubbed floors on her hands and knees during the Depression for peanuts, only to have what little she had stolen by her son, our uncle, another goddamned thieving son of a bitch just like you.  Remember how, surprise, surprise, there was no life insurance when our grandfather died?  Despite the fact our grandmother gave her thieving bastard son premium money year after goddamned year?  Only, as the thieving son of a bitch he truly was, to have pocketed it.  Again, just like you.

Remember when he booted her out of the house she had bought him when he had had enough of her?  -- Despite the fact he had lied and promised she could stay the rest of her life?  She had to climb two flights of stairs on an ulcerated leg to get to a bathroom he had never built for her at ground level as falsely promised.   Nothing ever happened to the thieving son of a bitch as far as justice was concerned.  Worse, he was never exposed publicly for the thieving son of a bitch he truly was.

Will be different for you, Bro.  While you've bought off authorities, you will be publicly exposed.  In great detail.  In good time.  When I'm damned good and ready.  When exposure will do the maximum figurative damage to your goddamned sordid reputation.  -- Just the truth, brother dearest, however.  Just the truth.

Irony of ironies?  When the thieving son of a bitch died, and our mother was finally informed he had passed, she cried for her brother, -- the bastard thief who stole from her mother.  Sad, isn't it?  Too bad she's not still alive to see you publicly exposed for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you, yourself, truly are.  As was he.  Not in a court of law you've bought off, however.  Right here.

In good time.  Again, when I'm damned good and ready.  Employing the very same tactics used against Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo.  -- On steroids, however, since all dirty family laundry will be aired.  All of it.  No threat.  A promise.  Emails sent to your neighbors, friends, professional associates, businesses you deal with.  Although an enormous amount of work, all doable courtesy of the Internet.  Despite being some 1,800 miles away.  -- Small world, isn't it, Bro?  Enjoy the stolen loot, you son of a bitch.  Forget?  It's all you have.

Brother dearest.  Save all the check stubs from the old man's accounts?  Fraudulently sign any of them yourself?  Think this material couldn't be obtained from the banks either through discovery or a criminal investigation?  Still own the house on Condict Rd.?   Any other properties besides this one and the old man's you stole with the help of your shyster bastard? Be interesting to see how far your assets extend and where.  Think all that information isn't accessible?  That I won't determinedly obtain it?

That not only an extensive Internet search will be conducted that will likely take months to complete?  But an extensive background check as well?  Think the Catholic high school you attended shouldn't be informed of the thievery of one of its graduates?  Think the clerics there would be appalled at their failure to teach you right from wrong?  How about both universities?  Think neighbors in the old man's neighborhood won't be informed of your deception?  Think they don't have a right to know?

Ever follow the advice of Dr. Bert Wiser, psychological statistics professor at MSU?  That is, get treatment for your achingly debilitating instability?  Is that why you wound up looting the old man?  Or, is it simply a convenient excuse you'll use to defend the indefensible?  Think this will end any time soon?  That is, public exposure of you as a thieving son of a bitch?  We're just getting started, Bro.  Just getting started.

Don't like it?  Tough shit.  Sue me you thieving son of a bitch.  Would use discovery to learn and post on this website all there is to know about you, your activities, predilections, business 'deals,' as well as all your financial transactions, etc..  All of it.  Would certainly avoid the expense of an extensive background check on you, thieving brother dearest.

Even if you were successful in court, there is nothing for you to take, this remains, as well, a homesteading state where minimal assets are protected anyway.  This site is hosted in an overseas country that doesn't particularly like government intrusion, remains not prone to cooperate.  Besides, can always upload to another webhost in still yet another country.  The possibilities are endless, Bro.  Just takes willingness, effort, unshakable determination.

Even if I lost it all would be more than worth it to expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.  Even if you bribed a goddamned nazi 'judge' to remove posted material, would not cooperate and be more than willing to rot in jail.  Would certainly keep reposting it all no matter the cost and/or personal consequences every time it was taken down.  Forget, you thieving son of a bitch?  I never ever give up.

Since all I seek is your exposure for the thief you truly are, would all be worth it.  For the sake of principle.  All the work, financial cost, as well as the time I am about to dedicate to this effort, you deceptive, unstable, sick, thieving son of a bitch.  Unlike you, I live on principle and have absolutely nothing to lose.  You do.  Will certainly take great pleasure and satisfaction in doing all I can to publicly expose you for whom and what you are.

To say nothing of placing enormous pressure on prosecutors you and your equally corrupt shyster son of a bitch apparently bribed.  Don't like it?  Again, tough shit. Chew harder.  The public needs to know to protect itself.  From you and your shyster bastard.  People who live and travel in your circles as well.  Including his.  As a thief, you and he can't be trusted by anyone.  You'll determinedly f--k them.

More than willing to provide this truly public service.  People certainly need to know whom and what you are.  What you have sadly become.  You certainly weren't brought up to be a thieving son of a bitch.  What happened?  Where did you lose yourself, Bro?  -- Never mind.  ... Truly doesn't matter.  Only your exposure.

TC 4-22-16

Hey, Bro?  Remember me?  How soon they conveniently forget.  ... Half asleep? -- Out to lunch?  ... In your own perverse little world?  That of a criminal?  Wake up.  Conveniently, gutlessly forget?  Insanely believe you're someway, somehow off the hook?  Think again.  We're not done.  You remain a thief who will be exposed for whom and what your are.  What you certainly have become.  No question about that.  Patience, you thieving son of a bitch.  Exposure is coming.  Promise.

Think I don't have time?  Truly believe the ongoing Presidential fiasco ends no matter who wins?  The murderous decay in law enforcement gets resolved any time soon?  Criminal Wells Fargo employees from local Kingsland bank manager Amanda S. Wright right up to and including CEO John Stumpf get prosecuted in the near future despite egregious criminal activity?  Wouldn't hold my breath, would you?

Think I don't have time to handle all this and your public exposure for the estate-stealing criminal son of a bitch you've truly become?  How could you steal from the old bastard, you incredibly sad sack of shit?  Certainly weren't brought up to be a thief.  What happened to you?  Where'd you lose yourself?

No question, 2017 will be a most remarkable, defining year for you, Bro.  Public exposure for the thieving piece of shit you've sadly become.  It's on the way. Promise.  Hope you sue.  Nothing for you to take.  Tough, isn't it?  Certainly, makes me judgment proof.  Will certainly, as well, take advantage of discovery.  Publish every detail I can get my hands on.  No matter the consequences.  Only consideration?  Prime directive?  Your exposure for whom and what you are.

Readers?  This not-so-brotherly piece of shit stole from our father.  Manipulated the old man to line his pockets.  Just like our uncle on my mother's side of the family did to my grandmother.  Runs in the family.  Our family.   ... Right, Bro?  This game now gets played my way, -- not yours, you son of a bitch.  That is, no more U.S. Mail tag.

Anything sent by mail will be refused, returned unopened.  Want contact?  Email.  libertyinperil@riseup.net.  Quick.  Easy.  Better yet?  A digital record.  Permanent.  Easily accessible.  Easily uploaded to this site when and if it becomes necessary.  The shyster bastard you hired to steal the estate shouldn't expect escape, either, from public exposure as the thieving piece of shit he, like you, truly both are.  Unscrupulous thieves.

Sincerely hope that piece of crap sues as well.  Nothing to take.  Discovery again would be published no matter the personal cost.  Nothing quite like public exposure, is there?  Especially, when it is nothing but the truth and there is absolutely nothing to lose exposing two pieces of criminal shit for whom and what they are.  Two pieces of gutless human excrement who looted an old man.  ... Right, Bro?

There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers.  Glaring sunlight.  Dazzling brilliance.  Amazing how the roaches run for cover.  Equally pointedly, how vermin on two legs manage to so easily prey on the elderly courtesy of the out of control fascist police-state we now live in.  While there'll never be any justice vis a vis this theft, there will be exposure to the brilliant light of day for both criminal perpetrators.  Count on it, you not-so-brotherly criminal son of a bitch.

TC 10-7-16

Hey, Bro?  Hear of Old Sturbridge Village?  Haven't?  ... Not lying, are you, you thieving son of a bitch?  You and your long-term companion EC conspire, bequeath some of the old man's loot to this museum?  An achingly stingy gift of $250-$499, -- considering the size of the estate?  The CEO and Board have any idea you stole it?  Think they'd care?  -- Just getting started, dearest, dearest Bro.  ... Delusionally believe I haven't more than enough time, resources, determination to expose you for the thieving piece of crap you truly are?  ... Under $500 back in 2013?  Remarkably parsimonious with stolen money aren't you?   What does it feel like to have gutlessly ripped off an incompetent old man?  -- Dear old Dad.  Certainly, look forward to digging much deeper into how you and your shyster lawyer managed to bamboozle and loot the old bastard.  Back in the day, certainly wouldn't have fallen for your bullshit.  Would have kicked your worthless, thieving ass out the door.  Intend to expose it to the light of day.  Indeed, a public service. Seatbelts on, you thieving son of a bitch. Tally ho!

TC 3-24-17

... Brief aside, dear readers, for a most exceptional reason.  -- Although infrequent, pressing ongoing personal business must come first on rare occasion.  Hope you agree, moreover, find it entertaining, -- as this writer did crafting what follows.  Principle trumps all.  Remains prime mover, prime directive no matter what.

This pressing issue involves a family thief. A heartless predator preying on the elderly who must be held accountable, exposed to the light of day.  Especially, since authorities failed to do their job.  The following is part of that continuing effort to expose this piece of shit for whom and what he is:

Hey, Bro?  Guess what?  Me, again.  Most determined pain in the ass.  Miss me?  An inconvenient, nagging hemorrhoid that simply won't go away no matter what.  -- A pile with a smile that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

... Delusionally think this most persistent nemesis of yours conveniently disappeared to parts unknown, vanished in thin air? To give a turd a break?  Wake up.  Not a chance, you thieving son of a bitch.  ... When you insanely believe this writer's gone and you're finally in the clear, guess what, here I am, right in your face.

Despite what's going on across our formerly great country, always have more than enough time for personal business.  That is, exposing you, Bro, to the glaring light of day.  A pathetically greedy predator.  Your target, who else, the elderly.  Most defenseless, vulnerable, an easy fleece.  -- Thought you'd steal from the surly old curmudgeon with impunity, no consequences?

Successfully escape accountability? Avoid detection, all responsibility?  Blatant theft of an old man's estate?  A little help from a bought and paid for hopelessly greedy unprincipled shyster?  Supposed cake walk due to 1800 miles separation?  No one to hold you accountable?  Your feet to the fire?  What could you possibly been thinking?

You've read this publication before.  Know precisely who and what I am, what I do.  Never give up.  Never say die.  Ignore all obstacles.  Know full well Liberty In Peril modus operandi remains as relentlessly ferocious, blindingly intense as ever.

No punches pulled.  No slack.  No personal consideration.  Certainly, not for a gutless son of a bitch, no more than a thieving predator.  Looted target, guess who, dear old dad.  Pitiful.  Delusionally believe you had the booty coming?  An entitlement?  For having had to put up with his shit all those years?  Wake up.

Hear of Historic Deerfield?  Of course, you have, you lying son of a bitch.  Forget?  You're one of their not-so-generous 'benefactors.'  ... With all the money stolen from our father's estate, only bequeath them a piss poor $40 bucks?

Unbelievable.  An achingly tight, cheap, thieving, worthless piece of duplicitous crap.  ... Write-off?  Negligible.  ... Feather  in the cap?  How?  Delusionally believe your treachery would never see the light of day?  What planet do you live on?

Board of Trustees Chair Anne K. Groves know full well you looted the estate?  How about President Philip Zea?  Think both don't have a right to know?  How about Anne Lanning, Vice President For Museum Affairs?  To say nothing of Susan Martinelli, Vice President For Business Affairs?

These officials are entitled to know precisely whom they're doing business with.  A thief.  Gutless phony.  Blow-hard fraud.  Hoity-toity dandy.  Worse?  An unprincipled thief who stole from his father.  ... Glaring light of day sucks, doesn't it, Bro?  No escaping the unvarnished truth, this most bitter reality.  Not a chance.

Saddest of all?  Back in the day, Hell would have frozen over before anyone would have have been able to rip off the craggy old bastard.  Remember quite well how intent, determined he was not to be fleeced late in life by a sick son of a bitch like you.

A leech.  Ironic, isn't it?  Gutless rip off of an old man who couldn't adequately handle his affairs any longer.  How do you sleep nights?

Fraud runs in the family, clearly.  History repeating itself.  Right in the footsteps of our grandmother's son, who callously ripped off his mother decades ago.  Again, another achingly pathetic piece of human excrement.  Just like you.  Intend to lay it bare.  Methodically.  Painstakingly. In great detail.  Living, breathing color.

For all to see.  A public service.  Exposure of the criminal piece of human excrement you truly are.  For sustained public review.  A goddamned thief.  Pissed? Chagrined?  Nonplused?  Tough shit.  Sue.  Would certainly immediately post all discovery no matter the consequences.

All snail mail will be returned unopened.  No phone tag.  Got something to say? Email.  Say it right here.  On this website.  In public.  For the world to see.  Will be posted in its entirety.  No editing.  Unlike you, this writer doesn't lie, cheat, steal.  Honors his word.  Intend to expose you precisely for whom and what you are.

Duplicitous predator who preyed on his own father.  Blinding exposure to benefit the community.  Have nothing to lose providing this public service, but you do.  No better disinfectant than sunshine.

.. Think the old bastard not spinning in his grave?  -- Old lady not doing the same?  One thing for certain.  Neither brought you up to be a goddamned thief.  Yet, here we are.  ... Until next time, Tally Ho!

5-25-18

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Tim Chorney, Publisher
Liberty In Peril

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Two hundred fifty-seven weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Small sampling of what's to come in this edition.  Read on.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Two hundred fifty-seven weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Two hundred fifty-seven weeks.   Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded.  An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

7-3-20

Last three months been getting online at the Kingsland HEB.  Met quite a few readers at the picnic table.  -- People I didn't personally know, but who came up and introduced themselves.  Certainly, grateful for your concern, caring, and moral support.  One of the Front End managers, Kevin, had granted permission to plug in and access HEB Customer wifi at the picnic table some three months ago.  Someone in County government must have subsequently complained. Three months after the fact.  LOL.  Finally got the boot 6-27-20 from the achingly gutless Store Manager who couldn't, or wouldn't stand up to pressure from this asshole.

Pathetic, isn't it?  LOL.  Certainly, knew it was coming.  Hard to believe it took three months.  LOL.  Apparently, the gutless Store Manager, Monty, sent out the second in command, Dan, to deliver the happy news.  Spoke to him awhile, but sadly as expected, he had nothing substantive to say.  Other than, "leave."  LOL.  Advised him to send out the clearly reluctant Store Manager who apparently wanted to avoid the encounter.  Finally, came out.  Imagine that.

Asked the Store Manager, Monty Young, for a business card.  Remarkably, he had none.  Couldn't be, could it?  LOL.  An HEB Store Manager with no business card?  How is that possible?  Unlimited corporate greed?  Aryan arrogance of a privately-owned corporation?  Or, was he simply lying?  Informed him he'd indeed be front and center in this next edition.

Before getting into specific detail vis a vis my conversation with the Store Manager, it must be stated staff at the Kingsland HEB is second to none.  Have known many of them for years.  Work extremely well together as a team.  Certainly, exceptionally customer-friendly.  The problem with this store is not staff.  Not even the Store Manager and Assistant Manager per se, -- who apparently, despite their denials, had been pressured by someone.  It's the HEB corporate management suite at the root of most of the problems at this store.

The following salient issues were discussed with the Store Manager before I left.  -- Interestingly, none of which he denied.  LOL.  Readers, have you noticed cheaper generic products are either continually out of stock or discontinued?  Especially, after the store changed its product line weeks before the pandemic.  Apparently, in an effort to emulate the Marble Falls store that caters to the Horseshoe Bay elite.

New larger shopping carts were brought in to the Kingsland store so shoppers would supposedly buy more product, increase store sales.  Shelves are restocked 24 hrs.  Staff was unhappy because aisles are too narrow for the larger carts.  Makes it harder to stock shelves when the store is open.  Not only that, makes it much more difficult for shoppers to navigate the narrow aisles.

Product pricing has steeply increased.  They accomplish this both by directly raising prices, as well as in engaging in deception, that is, downsizing product.  One recent glaring example is their generic bleach.  For awhile, it was unavailable, out of stock.  Then, it was downsized from three quarts to two.  Price remained at $1.  A 33% increase.  Done deceptively.  At a time when inflation is supposedly non-existent.  What ever happened to the HCF quart and a half ice cream that sold for $1.99?  Long since gone.  Both aforementioned products had already been downsized once before.  LOL.  List can go on and on.  Unbridled corporate greed.

As I reminded the Store Manager, Kingsland residents, for the most part, are poor, young, elderly, and/or disabled, etc.  This store now caters to the rich who live on the lake and Sunrise Beach.  Not sustainable.  ... Especially, if the shit finally hits the fan vis a vis the Trump nazi, and/or a second shutdown occurs courtesy of the raging, poorly-handled, achingly mismanaged pandemic.

To store employees, all of whom I admire, consider personal friends, courageously provide your ongoing grievances to this publication.  I will publish them while protecting your identity.  If you won't stand up, nothing changes.

As I informed the Store Manager, the problem in Kingsland is the fact HEB has no substantive competition.  What is desperately needed is a Walmart or other major corporation to rattle the cage of local HEB management as well as the corporate management suite.  Until that occurs, nothing changes, shit happens.  ... Right, Monty?  Dan?

In the last two and a half weeks or so, three middle-aged women tripped and fell on the curb by the picnic table.  Third time, 6-26-20.  Took the Store Manager and Assistant Manager quite some time to exit the store and arrive with ice to quell the swelling of the woman who had fallen hard on her face.  I subsequently asked Monty to consider painting the curb iridescent red or orange to avoid injury and a future lawsuit.

Responded couldn't be painted red since it wasn't a fire zone.  Could certainly be painted orange or some other bright color.  If management doesn't care about a lawsuit, where is its concern for the pain and suffering if a customer trips, falls, and suffers serious injury?  ... Couldn't care less, Monty?  -- Or, is it, shortsightedly, insurance will indeed take care of it?  Wake up.  Just a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured and sues the living shit out of HEB.  Even if HEB prevails in court, it loses.  Consider the cost of bad publicity.

To the credit of management, both the Store Manager and Assistant Manager return carts to the front of the store, sanitize them, and pick up trash.  Recently, associates informed me the Store Manager wasn't happy about the performance of the Assistant Store Manager.  LOL.  Apparently, ole' Dan got too good at hiding in the store, shirking cart and other duties, etc.  LOL.  That's apparently changed.  ... Trouble in paradise, boys?  LOL.  Itching to retire, Dan?  LOL.  Give me a break.  Never a dull moment, -- at customer and staff expense.

Finally, to the motherf--ker in County government who likely complained, don't flatter yourself.  Three months?  What took so long you gutless piece of shit?  LOL.  No matter what, Liberty In Peril will remain up and running.  Despite the fact it's been more than 21 years, just the very beginning.  Far more to come.  Far more County corruption, malfeasance, criminal activity to be followed up, and/or exposed.  LOL.  ... Bribed by Johnny Greene, Madam County Attorney?

Readers are advised there is a sticker on the back of the power supply stating:  "Please remove this sticker."  It cannot be easily removed.  Will not peel off.  Have hesitated to scrape it off since doing so might obliterate anything underneath it, -- if anything.  It is not covering a vent and there is no technical reason that it be removed.  Certainly, did not affect operation of the supply for the last year and four months I've had the machine.

Uncommon ValorThe Washington Post reports:

"For years, Eric Talley had a stable job in information technology that provided for his children and his wife, who educated their seven children in their Colorado home. But in 2010, after one of his closest friends died in a DUI crash, he quit, left behind his master’s degree and enrolled in the police academy at age 40, according to his friends and family. “It was remarkable to me that somebody would go to law enforcement from IT,” Jeremy Herko, a lieutenant with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, told The Washington Post. “He lost pay. He lost time away from his family. He joined the police academy without a guaranteed job.”

Uncommon Valor:

"When a gunman opened fire inside a King Soopers grocery store in Boulder, Colo., on Monday, Talley, 51, was among the first responders to run in the door. He was fatally shot along with nine other people, Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold said at a news conference. “My heart goes out to the victims of this incident, and I’m grateful for the police officers that responded,” said Herold, who called Talley’s actions “heroic” as she held back tears. “I am so sorry about the loss of Officer Talley.” At a news conference on Tuesday, at which law enforcement officials released the names of all 10 people killed, Boulder Mayor Sam Weaver called Talley a “truly heroic public servant” who “joins the ranks of six other Boulder police officers who have laid down their lives for the people of our city.” “Today we remember, we appreciate, and we honor the lives of those who were killed. One of those who we remember is Boulder police officer Eric Talley, who was gunned down as he valiantly protected those in mortal danger,” Weaver said.

"Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty pointed out the patrol car behind him as he spoke, “Here in his honor.” Talley, Dougherty said, “died charging into the line of fire to save people who were simply trying to live their lives and go food shopping.” Talley enrolled at the Community College of Aurora’s Police Training Academy in 2010. Herko recalled meeting Talley on their first day of school and bonding with him almost instantly. “He is drawn to people, and people are drawn to him,” Herko said. “It’s easy to be drawn to a guy like that. I was fortunate that he liked me, as well.” At the academy, Talley shared how his friend’s death had motivated him to join the force. “He was pretty driven to join law enforcement,” Herko said. After Talley obtained his certification, he joined the Boulder Police Department in 2010 and eventually took on “numerous roles,” Herold said. As an officer, Talley first made headlines for a heartwarming act of animal rescue. In 2013, he was part of a trio of officers who rescued 11 small ducklings and their mother trapped in a drainage ditch, the Daily Camera reported. During the nearly one-hour operation, the paper reported, officers first used a net to try to catch the family of ducklings. When that did not work, Talley trudged through the calf-deep water to round up the ducks by hand as another officer grabbed them one by one. “He was drenched after this,” Boulder police Sgt. Jack Walker said of Talley at the time. “They would go into these little pipes, and he would have to try and fish them out.”

"Talley worked for a time in the Martin Acres neighborhood, where he met with residents and helped set up a “community-based” police initiative, the neighborhood newsletter reported in 2015. When Talley was not patrolling the streets, Herko said, he was the type of father who bought a 15-passenger van so his large family would be more comfortable on the road. “That was his life,” Herko said. “He absolutely loved his job and wanted to serve the community.” His father, Homer Talley, told KMGH that his son was working to become a drone operator, a job he thought would be safer. “He loved his kids and his family more than anything,” his father said. “He didn’t want to put his family through something like this, and he believed in Jesus Christ.” In the hours after the shooting, his department praised his work on the force. “Rest In peace Officer Eric Talley. Your service will never be forgotten,” tweeted the Boulder police."

Uncommon Valor.

The Associated Press reports:

"Police on Tuesday identified a 21-year-old man as the suspect who opened fire inside a crowded Colorado supermarket, and court documents showed that he purchased an assault rifle less than a week before the attack that killed 10 people, including a police officer. Supermarket employees told investigators that Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa shot an elderly man multiple times outside the Boulder grocery store before going inside, according to the documents. Another person was found shot in a vehicle next to a car registered to suspect’s brother. The documents did not say where the gun was purchased. Authorities said Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa was from the Denver suburb of Arvada and that he engaged in a shootout with police Monday afternoon inside the store. The suspect was being treated at a hospital and was expected to be booked into the county jail later in the day on murder charges. Investigators have not established a motive, but authorities believe he was the only shooter, Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty said. A law enforcement official briefed on the shooting told The Associated Press that the gunman used an AR-15 rifle, a lightweight semiautomatic rifle. Officials were trying to trace the weapon. The official was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke to AP on condition of anonymity. The suspect’s family told investigators they believed Alissa was suffering some type of mental illness, including delusions. Relatives described times when Alissa told them people were following or chasing him, which they said may have contributed to the violence, the official told AP. The attack sent terrorized shoppers and employees scrambling for cover. It was the nation’s deadliest mass shooting since a 2019 assault on a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, where a gunman killed 22 people in a rampage that police said targeted Mexicans. Hundreds of police from throughout the Denver area responded to the attack, converging on a King Soopers supermarket in a busy shopping plaza. SWAT officers carrying ballistic shields slowly approached the store as others escorted frightened people away from the building, which had some of its windows shattered. Customers and employees fled through a back loading dock to safety. Others took refuge in nearby shops. “This is a tragedy and a nightmare for Boulder County,” Dougherty said. “These were people going about their day, doing their shopping. I promise the victims and the people of the state of Colorado that we will secure justice.” Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold identified the slain officer as Eric Talley, 51, who had been with the force since 2010. He was the first to arrive after responding to a call about shots fired and someone carrying a rifle, she said. “He was by all accounts one of the outstanding officers of the Boulder Police Department, and his life was cut too short,” Dougherty said. Dozens of police and emergency vehicles, their lights flashing, escorted an ambulance carrying the slain officer from the shooting scene after nightfall. Some residents stood along the route, their arms raised in salute. The other dead ranged in age from 20 to 65. They were identified as Denny Strong, 20; Neven Stanisic, 23; Rikki Olds, 25; Tralona Bartkowiak, 49; Suzanne Fountain, 59; Teri Leiker, 51; Kevin Mahoney, 61; Lynn Murray, 62; and Jodi Waters, 65."

Democrats, sadly, remain determinedly ignorant of the primary reason for the Second Amendment, that is, the last best defense against corrupt and abusive government as intended by the Founders:

"Rep. Joe Neguse, a Democrat whose district includes Boulder, said Tuesday on “CBS This Morning” that “enough is enough” when it comes to political impasses that keep gun control laws from passing Congress. “The time for inaction is over. It does not have to be this way. There are commonsense gun legislation reform proposals that have been debated in Congress for far too long,” Neguse said. “The gun lobby and so many others have stopped the ability to make meaningful reforms in the past, but that’s no excuse. I think the American people are tired of excuses.” Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the U.S. House stands with gun violence victims who say “enough is enough.” “Action is needed now to prevent this scourge from continuing to ravage our communities,” she said in a statement Tuesday in which she cited House passage of two background checks bills. Those bills are now pending before the Senate. “While we await further information on the details of this heinous crime, we continue to stand with victims, families and young people across the country saying, ‘Enough is enough.’”

Hopefully, Republicans in the Senate will stand their ground.  Do all they can to fight the Democrats on this issue.  -- Sadly, about the only issue Republicans have been worth a crap on is the Second Amendment.  ... Not that Democrats don't have their problems on a variety of other issues.  Neither party is truly worth a shit for totally different reasons.  Aren't we lucky?  Truly blessed?

United Press International reports:

"Colorado authorities on Tuesday identified the suspected gunman and 10 victims who they say he killed in a premeditated attack Monday at a grocery store in Boulder. In an update Tuesday morning, officials gave new details of the mass shooting. Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold read the names of the 10 victims who were killed inside the King Soopers market. Boulder Police Officer Eric Talley, an 11-year member of the force, was among the dead. The victims were identified as Denny Strong, 20; Neven Stanisic, 23; Rikki Olds, 25; Tralona Bartkowiak, 49; Teri Leiker, 51; Suzanne Fountain, 59; Kevin Mahoney, 61; Lynn Murray, 62; and Jodi Waters, 65. Herold said the suspect, 21-year old Ahmad Alissa, has been charged with 10 counts of murder in the first degree. Officials said Alissa was wounded during the attack and is still in the hospital, in stable condition. Herold described his injury as a through-and through leg wound. Authorities have not yet released any information about a possible motive for the attack.  Local and federal authorities are working on the investigation. "Our objective ... is to conduct a thorough investigation, which includes identifying the subject's motives," FBI special agent Michael Schneider said.

"President Joe Biden delivered his first public remarks about the shooting before he left the White House Tuesday afternoon for a trip to Ohio. "Ten lives have been lost and more families have been shattered by gun violence," he said. "Another American city has been scarred by gun violence. ... We have been through too many of these."

Indeed, we have, Mr. President.  The answer, however, is not a raucous hard dump on the Second Amendment, that is, the last best defense against corrupt and abusive government as intended by the Founders.  It is total revamp of the failed mental health system in our formerly great country.

Biden, however, like most of his fellow Democrats remains determinedly clueless:

"I don't need to wait another minute to take common sense steps that will save lives in the future, and to urge my colleagues in the House and Senate to act," the president added. "We can ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in this country once again. "The United States Senate should immediately pass two House bills that would close loopholes in the [firearm] background check system. "This should not be a partisan issue. ... It will save lives, and we have to act."

Hopefully, Republicans will stand up to this latest attack on the Second Amendment.

Uncommon Valor.  United Press International reports:

"After nearly 70 years, Marine Cpl. Salvatore Naimo received a Silver Star award on Friday for heroism in the Korean War. Col. John Polidoro, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Central Command, presented Naimo the award in a brief ceremony in Naimo's hometown, Sarasota, Fla., and on his 89th birthday. "I earned this for something I was trained to do," Naimo said. "I am very proud of this." The Silver Star is regarded as the third-highest award for valor in the U.S. Armed Services."

Uncommon Valor:

"Naimo was a member of Howe Company of the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, in 1951, as it battled to gain ground against the Chinese army, which was protected by heavy enemy mortar and artillery fire in an area called "the punchbowl." On Sept. 14, 1951, a direct artillery hit critically injured two Marines near Naimo, who left his position to pick up one casualty and carry him to the back of the formation. Struck by a round of fire and himself injured, Naimo successfully brought the second Marine to safety. Naimo then returned to combat, firing his rifle and throwing grenades despite his injuries. The Marines retained control of the territory, a Marine Corps statement on Friday said. Naimo's platoon commander said at the time that he would recommend Naimo for a medal, but was killed in action two days later. The commander of Howe Company was informed of Naimo's heroism but was injured on the same day. Col. Robert Crawford, who dedicates his volunteer time to researching and securing awards for overlooked veterans, had been working on Naimo's situation since 2018." It doesn't matter if the Marine's actions took place yesterday, or 70 years ago, we will always ensure our Marines are recognized for their performance," Polidaro said at Friday's ceremony."

Indeed, Uncommon Valor.

Think this eight-year-old kid hasn't one hell of a future ahead of her?  ABC News reports:

"An 8-year-old Chicago girl whose mother was at work somehow managed to toss a mattress from her family's third-story window during a fire and then jump onto it to safety, a fire official said Thursday."

How many adults would have thought to do the same?  Would have had the guts?

"Firefighters who arrived at the burning apartment on the city's South Side just before midnight Wednesday found the girl safe outside. They were able to rescue two younger children who were inside, including the girl's 5-year-old brother, who was at the window poised to follow his sister, and a 2-year old boy, the fire department said. District Chief Frank Velez told the Chicago Tribune he was impressed by the girl's quick thinking in a life-or-death situation, calling her idea “quite innovative.” "You’d be surprised on what an individual can do when you’re in that sympathetic and parasympathetic stage of fight or flight. ... They’re thinking to save themselves one way or another and obviously you have to give credit to the kid for really thinking of something like that,” Velez said. Police spokeswoman Kellie Bartoli said there were no charges pending against the children's mother, explaining that a neighbor was babysitting them. Velez, however, said he did not know if the neighbor was in the apartment when the fire began. Velez said the three children were taken to Comer Children's Hospital to be evaluated for smoke inhalation, and that their conditions had been stabilized. He said the cause of the fire was under investigation."

This young lady will likely be the very best she can be in whatever profession she ultimately chooses.  Certainly, thinks outside the box.  Her creativity will be a most useful asset in all her endeavors.  Not to neglect to mention her boldness.

Former Green Beret charged in January 6 insurrection.  The Washington Post reports:

"A former Army Special Forces soldier charged with a half-dozen crimes stemming from the Capitol riot threw a flagpole at a police officer like a spear and assaulted three other officers, according to the FBI and court documents. Jeffrey McKellop, 55, who was arrested Wednesday, is among more than 30 veterans charged in the Jan. 6 incident but appears to be the first so far who served in Special Operations, according to service records analyzed by The Washington Post. McKellop, of Augusta County, Va., faces six charges, among them assaulting a police officer with a deadly or dangerous weapon. He did not enter a plea on Thursday. His attorneys Greg Hunter and Seth Peritz declined to comment on his case. The former soldier served two enlistments for a total of 22 years, according to his Army service record. His second enlistment, from 1993 to 2010, included time as a mechanic and a Special Forces communications sergeant. The role includes overseeing radios and other communications vital to small team Green Beret missions. The Army did not say how long he served in Special Forces, but his two tours each in Iraq and Afghanistan, spanning from 2002 to 2006, lasted a few months, which is typical for groups like Green Berets and Navy SEALs. McKellop was recorded on several body cameras worn by officers, the FBI alleged, during the violent melee inside and outside the Capitol in an attempt to interrupt the certification of President Biden’s election. Clad in a helmet and tactical body armor, and wearing his own gas mask, McKellop was filmed pushing an officer, throwing a bottle at police and trying to wrestle away a can of riot-control spray from another officer, the FBI said. In one moment, McKellop picked a flag off the ground and thrust it in the face of a D.C. police officer, then heaved the flagpole at the officer “similar in fashion to throwing a spear,” the FBI said. The officer suffered lacerations near his eye, investigators said. At one point, McKellop held a “thin blue line” flag popular with police and law enforcement advocates, the agency said. An associate of McKellop who did not attend the rally or the riot may be charged as a conspirator, according to a person familiar with the case who spoke on the condition of anonymity to frankly discuss the matter. It is unclear what level of participation the associate had, the person said.

"The number of veterans charged in the riot, which includes at least two men serving in the Army Reserve and one in the National Guard, has prompted Pentagon officials to reassess how it detects and roots out troops with extremist ideologies. Veterans recruited by extremist groups and self-styled militias are prized for weapon and tactical experience but also their social capital that confers legitimacy, the Pentagon has said. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said he was “very disappointed” in the number of veterans charged in the riot, which is about 10 percent of more than 300 total people who have been charged. “This is an issue that I think can erode the great respect that our American citizens have for our military,” Austin said in a “60 Minutes” interview. While most veterans charged in the riot had typical duties, such as infantry members, vehicle drivers and mechanics, a few had notable records that require restrictive security clearances, such as one required for Special Forces soldiers. One veteran worked as a Navy Reserve intelligence officer. Another was a crew chief in the presidential helicopter squadron. That role requires a specialized top secret security clearance, the Marine Corps said."

No longer.

Murder.  Shot five times in the back, killed by an officer.  In follow-up to a case covered repeatedly in this publication, ABC News reports:

"Casey Goodson Jr., a Black man, was shot five times in the back by a white Ohio sheriff’s deputy last December, according to a final coroner’s report released Thursday. The final autopsy confirmed statements previously made by Goodson's family that the 23-year-old died after former Franklin County sheriff’s deputy Jason Meade shot him multiple times in the back and torso. Relatives say Goodson was opening the door to his grandmother’s house at the time. “This family and this city have been through enough trauma and our healing cannot begin until Meade is held accountable for this heinous act," Sean Walton, one of the attorneys for Goodson’s family, said in a statement Wednesday night. "Jason Meade is a threat to the community and public safety each and every day that he continues to be free,” he added."

No question.

"The Franklin County coroner listed the cause of death as a homicide — a medical determination used in cases where someone has died at someone else’s hand, but not a legal finding. It doesn’t imply criminal intent."

Most convenient for the murderous jackbooted bastards in blue, isn't it?

"The shooting took place in Columbus on Dec. 4 while Meade, a 17-year veteran of the sheriff's office, was finishing up an unsuccessful search for a fugitive as part of a U.S. Marshals Office fugitive task force. U.S. Marshal Peter Tobin has said that on the day of the shooting, Meade confronted the victim outside his home after Goodson, who was not the subject of the fugitive search, drove by and waved a gun at Meade. One witness heard Meade command the victim to drop his gun, and when he didn’t, the deputy shot him, Tobin said after the shooting. The family has said Goodson had a sandwich, not a gun, in his hand. Even if Goodson had been carrying a gun, the family reiterated, he had a license to do so. Officials said that a gun was recovered from the scene but have not provided further details."

Why not?  Could the weapon have been planted?  Could there have been no weapon at all?  Could the son of a bitch be lying to cover his sorry ass?

“My grandson just got shot in the back when he came in the house,” Goodson’s grandmother told a dispatcher shortly after, according to 911 recordings obtained by The Associated Press. “I don’t know if he’s OK.”

Gets far more inexplicable:

"Shortly after the shooting, Tobin held a press conference where he called the shooting justified, a statement he later retracted. While Meade had been working with a U.S. Marshals task force earlier in the day, both the Marshals and the sheriff’s office later said he was on his own time when the shooting happened. A coroner's determination of entrance and exit wounds has no bearing on what actually happened that day, since it doesn't explain how the individuals were positioned at the time, said Mark Collins, a defense attorney representing Meade. The coroner “can’t explain how a body was positioned — if they were bent over, if they were standing up straight, or how they were turned,” Collins said."

Anything to obstruct justice, protect and coddle a murderous officer.

"The case remains under criminal investigation by the U.S. attorney's office with help from the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division."

'Comforting,' isn't it?

"Once the investigation is complete, Franklin County Prosecutor Gary Tyack's office will review the autopsy before making a decision on whether to charge Meade. The deputy remains on administrative leave from the sheriff's office. Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said the final autopsy released Thursday “doesn’t provide all of the facts needed to give us those answers,” and that he will wait until the criminal investigation is complete before pursuing any disciplinary action against Meade."

Had it been an officer killed, the shooter would have been immediately arrested, jailed, charged.  No equal justice.

Zero credibility:

“I want to be clear that the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office use of force policies prohibits any deputy from using deadly force against anyone who doesn’t pose an immediate threat to the officer or to others,” Baldwin said in a statement. “However, I also want to emphasize that criminal investigations over the years have shown that the physical location of gunshot wounds alone do not always tell the entire story of what happened.”

No equal justice.  No equal treatment under the law.  None.  De facto fascist police-state.  Democratic republic in name only.

A grieving widow stands tall.  NBC News reports:

"Kobe Bryant's widow on Wednesday named four sheriff's deputies who allegedly participated in widespread "morbid gossip" and shared grisly images of her husband's remains, taken at the scene of his death. Vanessa Bryant had filed an invasion-of-privacy lawsuit against Los Angeles County and the sheriff's department back in September, but names of the deputies had been shielded. That was before a federal judge last week ruled that accused deputies "are legitimately concerned that they will encounter vitriol and social media attacks," but that "such concerns, by themselves, are not sufficient to outweigh the public’s strong interest in access."

No question.

"U.S. District Court Judge John F. Walter's ruling opened the door for Vanessa Bryant, in new court filings on Wednesday, to name Deputies Joey Cruz, Rafael Mejia, Michael Russell and Raul Versales, accusing them of taking or distributing pictures of bodies from the Jan. 26 fatal crash helicopter crash in Calabasas. Dissemination of the images was so widespread within the sheriff's department, a detective who received some of the pictures told investigators he doesn't remember who gave them to him, the lawsuit said. "As an indication of how casually the photos were shared within the department, the detective could not even identify the name of the deputy who sent him the photos during an interview with department investigators," according to the complaint. That detective was not named in the lawsuit."

Readers will recall:

"The crash killed Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, six other passengers and the pilot. For now, Vanessa Bryant is naming the four deputies who allegedly played a role in the spread of pictures. Mejia was stationed at a command post at the nearby Los Virgenes Water District when he "obtained multiple photographs of the Bryants’ remains and stored them on his personal cell phone" before he then "shared them with at least two individuals without any legitimate governmental purpose," according to the lawsuit. Cruz, a trainee deputy on that day, received images from Mejia before sharing them with his family and Russell, the lawsuit said. Then on Jan. 28, Cruz was a customer at the Baja California Bar and Grill in Norwalk, California, where he "boasted that he had worked at the scene of the accident" and showed off pictures "to a fellow bar patron and the restaurant’s bartender, according to the suit. He is seen on the bar’s security camera zooming in and out of the images while displaying them to the bartender," the lawsuit said. Two days after the crash, Russell "shared the photos with a personal friend with whom Russell plays video games nightly," according to the civil action. Versales allegedly sent photos to Mejia and the detective who couldn't remember who had shared images with him, the lawsuit said."

Outrageous, isn't it?  What could these guys possibly been thinking?

"All four deputies, once they caught wind of an internal probe about the photos, deleted the images from their phones to hamper investigators, Bryant's widow alleges in the suit. Mejia allegedly told investigators that “curiosity got the best of [them]” and that such curiosity was “in [their] nature” as deputies, the civil complaint said. Officials with the sheriff's department and the union that represents deputies could not be immediately reached for comment on Thursday morning. But shortly after Vanessa Bryant named the accused individual deputies, Sheriff Alex Villanueva said in a statement Wednesday night: "We will refrain from trying this case in the media and will wait for the appropriate venue. Our hearts go out to all the families affected by this tragedy." Vanessa Bryant has also accused responding L.A. County firefighters of sharing crash-scene images, but no individuals within that department have been named."

Think law enforcement isn't in desperate need of total revamp?  The Washington Post reports:

"In July, Eureka, Calif., Police Sgt. Rodrigo Reyna-Sanchez got a call about a mentally ill woman officers had dealt with in the past. The force was already under scrutiny for its treatment of the homeless after a recent scathing report from a grand jury. But Reyna-Sanchez allegedly responded by mocking the woman’s body. “She sounds hot!!!" he wrote in a group text with other officers published this week by the Sacramento Bee. “In this cold chill, I bet she got some hard nipples!!!” He added, “If she’s going to insist I[n?] going topless, she needs to get her some 44 DDs!!!” The texts reviewed by the Bee, which police say were sent between January and August last year, were also often violent, sexual and disparaging to women and included officers joking about beating up protesters and suggesting they would like to shoot a suspect in the face. “Upon learning the details of the content in these reported communications I … was deeply saddened and disturbed,” Eureka Police Chief Steve Watson said in a statement on Facebook, noting the department was still investigating the “veracity” of the messages. “While the exchange that reportedly occurred between officers was something that appears to have taken place on private devices, the subject matter discussed professional duties and was profoundly upsetting.” Neither Reyna-Sanchez nor Officer Mark Meftah commented to the Bee. The Washington Post was not able to reach them late Wednesday."

Outrageous behavior, isn't it?  Think these bastards present no threat to women on or off duty, none at all?  Especially, considering the following:

"Dealing with the homeless has been a fraught issue in Eureka, a city of about 27,000 in Northern California. According to a 2019 grand jury report, there were more than 650 homeless people in the city and 57 percent had been diagnosed with mental illness. The report accused police, along with city officials, of criminalizing the homeless by giving citations, which the grand jury called “counterproductive” and leading to more “mental anguish.” The Bee reported it received photographs of the group texts by Eureka police from an individual who requested anonymity, and it published some of these exchanges online. The group message reportedly consisted of six officers, all from the same squad, which was supervised by Reyna-Sanchez. Meftah and Reyna-Sanchez’s violent messages go back to January 2020, the Bee reported, when the officers spoke contemptuously about protesters. “There’s supposed to be a protest at the courthouse from 1700 to 1900 for the ‘war in Iran’ … confirm u all have ur riot gear?? Gas mask, helmet, and dude handle,” Reyna-Sanchez wrote. “I’ll beat those f------ hippies down,” Meftah wrote to the group. “Why don’t I have a side handle??” Reyna-Sanchez responded, referring to a police baton. In April, Reyna-Sanchez reportedly ranted about a suspect who posted bail after police found his stash of guns. The suspect also had Reyna-Sanchez’s tactical vest. “He also had one of my tac vests that I had loaned to code enforcement!! Face shoot the f-----!!!” the sergeant wrote, according to texts reviewed by the Bee. “He was one of my first arrests!!! Sent him to prison for a minute!!” Reyna-Sanchez’s comment to “face shoot” the man comes 10 years after he fatally shot a 25-year-old robbery suspect in the head after he pointed his gun at an officer. Reyna-Sanchez was cleared of wrongdoing in the shooting. There are also extensive comments that degrade women, the Bee reported. In messages about a new female officer-in-training joining their squad, Reyna-Sanchez expressed his annoyance by using vulgar and disparaging language. “Seems the powers that be feel E Watch is too green to correct any issues that she has, and she had a lot of issues … so they’re putting her on days so that all u veteran officers can unf--- her …” Reyna-Sanchez wrote. Then, in a response to an officer about the assignment, Reyna-Sanchez said: “Clearly they don’t see what I see … b---- be twice as big as u!!”

Callous lack of professionalism stunning.  Speaks volumes.

"In another exchange, an officer said he spotted a mentally ill woman who had a record of shoplifting walking in town. “Get pics of her rack!!” Reyna-Sanchez wrote, according to messages reviewed by the Bee, before adding more texts disparaging her body. In April, as the coronavirus pandemic began to spread through the country, the pair joked about blowing off requests from public health officials to perform wellness checks on residents who may have covid, the Bee reported. “My plan if I had to go there was to knock as lightly as humanly possible on the door, give him an eighth of a second to answer, and then leave,” Meftah wrote. “The public health dr suggested we go there, knock loud and step back when he came to the door!!! Nice plan b----!!! I’ll be right behind u!!!” Reyna-Sanchez replied. Later, Reyna-Sanchez sent an update and referred a covid patient as an “outbreak monkey.”

Empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric:

"Watson, the police chief, said in a statement that he was shocked to see the messages and “deeply concerned” that they would cause residents to question the “professionalism” of his officers. He noted that in recent years the department has invested in trainings on implicit bias, diversity and crisis intervention. “What has been reported, unequivocally, does NOT meet the professional standards to which we hold our public servants,” Watson said. “Transparency and accountability are required in the positions we fill, and you have my word that we won’t rest as we keep working to achieve the standard our community expects.”

Only way that could possibly happen would be to fire and carefully replace every individual involved.

Think they'll ever smarten up?  The Washington Post reports:

"The backlash began with the sheriff spokesman’s statement to reporters that the mass shooting suspect was having a “bad day.” “He was pretty much fed up and kind of at the end of his rope. Yesterday was a really bad day for him and this is what he did,” Cherokee County sheriff’s office Capt. Jay Baker said Wednesday. He was describing the 21-year-old man accused of killing eight people, mostly Asian and almost all women, in a rampage across three Atlanta-area spas. Then — as the violence stirred fears in an Asian-American community that already felt under attack — Internet sleuths and journalists found Baker’s Facebook posts promoting shirts that called the novel coronavirus an “IMPORTED VIRUS FROM CHY-NA.” One person’s reaction on Twitter: “I think Capt Jay Baker is going to have a really bad day.”

No kidding.

Here's the problem:

"Baker’s comments and social media history fueled long-running concerns about racism in law enforcement, capping a year in which many warned that phrases like “China virus” were inciting sometimes violent prejudice against Asian Americans. For critics, they undermined trust in authorities’ work on an attack that seemed to many inseparable from the race and gender of its victims, even as authorities say the motive remains unclear. And they downplayed the actions of a White suspect who, according to Baker, may have visited the spas before, claimed to have a “sexual addiction” and said he wanted to eliminate a “temptation.” Baker is not just any employee of the sheriff’s department, some noted, but its spokesman, who shapes public knowledge of the attacks that unfolded Tuesday in his county and then at two businesses in Atlanta. “All of us have experienced bad days,” tweeted Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.). “But we don’t go to three Asian businesses and shoot up Asian employees.” Baker, whose Facebook profile is public, did not respond to The Washington Post’s request for comment, nor did Cherokee County Sheriff Frank Reynolds. Reached by the Daily Beast, Reynolds, who is friends with Baker on Facebook, said he did not know about the post. “I am not aware of that,” Reynolds told the outlet. “I will have to contact him but thank you for bringing that to my attention.” Baker posted photos of the shirts blaming China for the pandemic in March and April, as Asian American leaders and advocacy groups were already sounding alarms about rhetoric tying the coronavirus to China and Chinese people. “Covid 19,” the shirt reads in a font resembling the logo of Corona beer. “IMPORTED VIRUS FROM CHY-NA.” The words echoed those from politicians and especially from former president Donald Trump, who used offensive terms like “kung flu” and went out of his way to use the phrase “Chinese virus.” At one point, a Post photographer snapped a picture of the president’s notes in which “corona” was crossed out. “It’s racist and it creates xenophobia,” Harvey Dong, a lecturer in Asian American and Asian diaspora studies with the University of California at Berkeley, told The Post at the time. “It’s a very dangerous situation.”

Sadly, as intended by the Trump nazi and his henchmen.

"Scientists have cast doubt on speculation that the coronavirus came from a Wuhan laboratory, saying they believe it spread to humans from bats through an intermediary animal. Stop AAPI Hate, a group that gathered thousands of reports of anti-Asian bias over the past year, has said many reported incidents involve anti-Chinese rhetoric and specifically language that blames China for the pandemic. Baker’s posts about the shirts also surfaced after a year of viral videos, racial justice protests and high-profile killings of Black Americans have raised concerns about racism within police ranks. For some reacting online, the social media posts added to accusations of “White privilege” over the sheriff’s captain’s remarks about Georgia shooting suspect Robert Aaron Long. "I wonder if these are related …” tweeted writer Viet Thanh Nguyen, who is Vietnamese American, after noting both the shirt photos and the “bad day” phrasing. Another person on Twitter who criticized Baker’s language urged others to push back on attempts to “justify” Long’s alleged actions. “I’m so mad about Captain Jay Baker’s comments, I’ve deleted and retyped this post five times,” the person wrote."

We've lost ourselves.

... How much is enough?  -- When is enough, indeed, enough?  The Associated Press reports:

"A New York City police officer who’s been arrested twice for alleged brutality was arrested again Sunday after police on Long Island say he fired a pistol into the Atlantic Ocean while off duty. David Afanador, 39, was carrying a loaded 9mm Beretta pistol and three loaded 15-round capacity magazines when officers investigating a report of shots fired in Long Beach saw him walking off the beach with three other people around 6:50 a.m. Sunday, police said. Afanador was charged last year with putting a Black man in a banned chokehold while responding to a call at a Queens boardwalk. The NYPD suspended him without pay after that arrest and then placed him on restricted assignment. He was not authorized to carry firearms, police said. Afanador was arraigned Monday by video in Long Beach City Court on charges of criminal possession of a weapon and prohibited use of a weapon. He was also cited for possession of alcohol, which is banned at Ocean Beach Park, for carrying an open can of Truly Hard Seltzer, police said. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 2."

Why hasn't he been fired?

"A woman stopped with Afanador was also accused of firing the pistol into the ocean. She is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and prohibited use of a weapon, police said. A message seeking comment was left with Afanador’s lawyer. Afanador, who’s been with the NYPD for more than 16 years, pleaded not guilty last June to strangulation and attempted aggravated strangulation charges after cellphone video showed him putting his arm around a man’s neck on the Rockaway Beach boardwalk. The man, 35-year-old Ricky Bellevue, appeared to lose consciousness. Bellevue was arrested in an unrelated incident in the Bronx a few weeks later after police say he flashed a box cutter and made anti-gay statements in an attempted robbery."

Again, why hasn't this criminal jackbooted motherf--ker been long since fired?  What does it take to get rid of the criminal element in law enforcement?

"Chokeholds have been prohibited by the NYPD for years and were banned statewide last year. Afanador is scheduled for a court appearance in that case on Wednesday."

Chokeholds kill.  Why haven't they been banned nationwide?

"In 2016, Afanador was acquitted on charges he pistol-whipped a 16-year-old boy during a marijuana bust, breaking two of his teeth. The beating, seen on video, continued until the boy dropped to the ground and was handcuffed."

This is precisely how these sick bastards get their cookies off.  Why is it tolerated?  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms while these abuses continue unabated.

No justice.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Racist sheriff disgraces himself.  The Washington Post reports:

"A sheriff in Washington state is facing public pressure to step down after he called 911 to report he was threatened by a man lurking in his neighborhood — an allegation he later contradicted when talking to police and local media. Pierce County Sheriff Ed Troyer told a dispatch operator in a Jan. 27 call, first reported by the Seattle Times, that a man going house-to-house in his neighborhood in the early morning threatened to “kill” Troyer, prompting dozens of police cars from multiple agencies to respond. Tacoma Police officers discovered that the man, 24-year-old Sedrick Altheimer, was a Black newspaper delivery driver — and Troyer told them he was “never threatened,” according to an incident report obtained by the newspaper. Amid a national conversation about racial prejudice within the ranks of police departments, the ordeal has raised questions about the newly elected sheriff, who is White, within a community already reckoning with the death of Manuel Ellis, an unarmed Black man, about a year ago. Ellis died of “hypoxia due to physical restraint,” according to the medical examiner, after police pinned him amid a scuffle that a witness said was unprovoked. His final words echoed the last utterances of other Black men who died in police custody, including George Floyd and Eric Garner: “I can’t breathe.” Troyer, elected in November after serving as the office’s spokesman, denied that he had racially profiled Altheimer, telling The Washington Post that he began following the driver before he knew he was Black. He insisted that Altheimer threatened him but that he decided not to pursue charges. “I wanted to let it go once we found out who he was,” he wrote in an email, adding that he has not been the subject of a complaint for excessive use of force in 35 years of policing. Troyer said he welcomed an investigation into the 911 call. In a public statement Friday, he said he was “saddened” Altheimer “felt he was treated in an unfair manner.” The Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to The Post that a committee tasked with reviewing police dishonesty would look into the matter. Pierce County Council Chair Derek Young said Friday that the governing body was “concerned” about the incident but that it had no administrative control over the separately elected office of sheriff. “We take this situation seriously and know that the public trust in law enforcement is paramount,” Young wrote in a statement. “As we have more information, we will have a better sense of appropriate next steps available to us.”

Reaction:

"Reacting to the Times’s reporting, local civil rights and social justice groups took issue with Troyer’s actions and response. Tacoma Action Collective called for Troyer to resign, while Washington Black Lives Matter Alliance demanded the sheriff’s suspension. The Tacoma Urban League tweeted that Troyer is “a threat.” “He pulled a Karen in January and it could’ve cost this young mans life,” tweeted Monét Carter-Mixon, the sister of Ellis, the man who died in Tacoma police custody. Carter-Mixon, along with the county’s Democratic Party, shared support for Troyer’s recall. James Bible, a civil rights attorney representing Ellis’s family, went a step further, saying Troyer should be charged for providing false information to police."

Why hasn't he already been charged?  Any civilian doing so would have been arrested, jailed, quickly charged.  Why no equal justice?

"Bible said the narrative police gave immediately after Ellis’s death was contradicted by other sources, including a witness video and an independent investigation, raising concerns about the handling of public information by police and Troyer, then the spokesman for the sheriff’s office, when Black men are involved. “This further demonstrates he was obstructing justice in the Manuel Ellis case, that he has perceptions of Black people, and specifically Black males, that impact his ability to be impartial, fair, objective and a legitimate conveyor of information to the general public,” Bible said in an interview. He said it was saddening “that a hard-working Black person could be doing his job and be accused of criminal activity.” Altheimer, who did not respond to requests for comment from The Post, told the Times he knew the encounter with police could have been fatal for him. “They could have shot me that night,” he said. “It scares me.” Altheimer told the newspaper he noticed Troyer following him as he tossed newspapers into driveways, before the sheriff, who did not identify himself as law enforcement, questioned what he was doing and accused him of stealing packages from people’s porches. When Altheimer asked Troyer whether he was targeting him because he was Black, Troyer told him he had a Black wife, he said. Troyer denied Altheimer’s account. He questioned the report written by the Tacoma Police Department. Police spokesperson Wendy Haddow did not respond to requests for comment."

Think the Sheriff has any credibility?  Get this:

"During the nearly five-minute 911 call, Troyer gave conflicting statements, at first telling the operator he had blocked in the man, who he said looked “homeless,” after he tried to trespass into Troyer’s garage. Troyer then said Altheimer had barricaded him, and he wanted to go home. “I caught someone in my driveway who just threatened to kill me, and I’ve blocked him in and he’s here right now,” Troyer said in audio obtained by The Post. “I don’t want anything except for him to just let me go home,” he said after. He speculated, without providing evidence, that Altheimer had a garage door opener to access his neighbors’ homes. “I’m trying to be polite to him, but he says I’m a racist and wants to kill me,” he said. Troyer told the operator he needed “one or two” officers, but his claim that he was threatened prompted a response of 42 police units from several agencies, according to police records. A dispatcher later told an officer that an “officer needs help” call gets the highest-priority response, second only to mudslides after an eruption of the Mount St. Helens volcano, according to the audio of their call. The request for help was sent to 19 agencies, she said. If Troyer was more specific in his request for help, it would have been a lower priority and fewer officers would have been dispatched, the operator said. “That’s kind of a common practice with him, of not getting information out of him,” she told the officer. Troyer disputed that allegation, saying he only called 911 once before regarding a car burglary. The day after the standoff, Altheimer jokingly delivered a newspaper to the sheriff’s driveway, he told the Times. Troyer touted that he did not call the police — that time. “I didn’t call it in or make a complaint at all,” Troyer said. “And no, I don’t subscribe.”

Delusionally believe this guy fit to be sheriff?

... Have to admire, however, the guts of Altheimer to subsequently drop a paper in the driveway of this insane son of a bitch.  LOL.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Nothing quite like hypocrisy, is there?  Worse?  Nothing quite like following in the Trump nazi's footsteps to be sure.  LOL.  -- But, here we are.  The following is truly appalling.   ABC News reports:

"The U.S. government set up a fake university as a sting operation ostensibly to catch foreigners using school admission for visas. Now, those caught up by it are seeking their time in court -- and say they have found the new presidential administration no friendlier to their fight."

Imagine that.  Couldn't be, could it?

Get this:

"The Biden administration followed in the Trump administration's footsteps in February requesting a class-action lawsuit over the fake University of Farmington be dismissed from Federal Claims Court. The lawsuit was filed on Sept. 21, 2020 against the United States by would-be students who claim they lost millions in tuition when the university never provided any classes. No money was ever returned to the students."

Where could the money have gone?  Into whose pocket?

"Almost 600 foreign-born people enrolled at the University of Farmington, hoping to take classes and graduate with a master's degree, according to the lawsuit, not knowing it was a sting operation run by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations team. The university was created "to ferret out illegal conduct and ‘expose student visa fraud,'" according to the Biden administration's Feb. 24 reply in support of the motion to dismiss the lawsuit."

Where's the money, Mr. Biden?  Couldn't care less, sir?

"On Nov. 29, 2019, then-Sen. Kamala Harris tweeted that the scheme behind the fraudulent school was not "just cruel, it's a waste of taxpayer dollars." Despite Harris now being vice president, there has been no change between the Biden and Trump administration's positions in this case. Both administrations have tried to dismiss the lawsuit, and both administrations have yet to give back the tuition paid by international students who enrolled at Farmington, many of whom legitimately thought they would be receiving an education, according to the lawsuit."

Jesus Christ.  What the hell is going on here?  Where's the tuition money?  Where?

"Anna Nathanson, one of the plaintiffs' lawyers, said the Biden administration could have withdrawn the motion to dismiss or settled the case, rather than file a supportive reply on the motion to dismiss. ABC News has reached out to the White House and has not yet heard back. ABC News also reached out to ICE, who said they cannot comment due to pending litigation."

Convenient, isn't it?

"Pasam, 27, who asked ABC News to only use part of his name out of fear of retribution, is one of the students Nathanson represents. He says he paid $10,000 in tuition to the University of Farmington. Originally from India, he says he was a software developer working in Boston in October 2017 and only had about a month left before his student visa expired. To continue legally working and residing in the United States, he decided to apply for a master's program, according to the lawsuit. With a student visa, international students can remain in the United States and work for at least a year after they have graduated. Pasam was legally living and working in Boston, when he applied and was accepted to the University of Farmington. "It is a common and legal practice for people with international visas to remain legally working and living in the United States while getting an additional degree and student visa," Nathanson said. This student visa program, which allows students to work in the U.S., was implemented in 1953. "We have to stay legally, right?" Pasam said to ABC News, describing one of the reasons he was applying for his master's. "We don't want to break any law, because that is not a good thing, right?" After some research, he chose to attend the University of Farmington, a school that claimed to offer online classes towards a master's degree in technology."

Get this:

"According to the complaint, the school's website claimed it was accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, registered with the state of Michigan as a legitimate university and listed as "an institution approved for the Student and Exchange Visitor program" by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. According to Pasam, he thought the university was legitimate. He told ABC News he was excited because the university offered classes he was looking to take, the visa he was looking to obtain, and would allow him to continue living and working in Massachusetts. He applied and was admitted. "So, I got the visa, and I got the visa legally," Pasam said. He said he paid his tuition fee and received his I-20 visa, but that when classes didn't begin on time, he became suspicious. "We reached out to the university," Pasam told ABC News. "We called multiples times. Sometimes they answered us, sometimes they didn't answer." Pasam paid $10,000 in tuition fees to the University of Farmington. He hasn't received any of that money back."

Imagine that.  Sounds like fraud, doesn't it?

"He said the university told him it was planning to begin classes "very soon" and to "not worry about that process." As time continued to pass and classes never began, Pasam said he decided to try and take matters into his own hands. He said he requested to transfer schools so he could get the education he was paying for, but the University of Farmington never completed his request to send on his acceptance letter and other proof he was a student."

Couldn't be, could it?  The U.S. government would never engage in fraud, would it?

"Unbeknownst to Pasam at the time, the "sole purpose of the Government's activities were grounded in law-enforcement objectives," according to the government's motion to dismiss filed on Jan. 8, 2021. "The University was staffed with law enforcement personnel who presented themselves as administrators," the motion later said. "I've spoken to several Farmington students," Nathanson, the lawyer, told ABC News. "I haven't met anyone who wasn't tricked." When the news broke about what Farmington really was, Pasam said he was sent a letter by the government requesting he leave the country within a week. His visa, which he argues he had obtained legally by attending Farmington, had been terminated. "I lost my hope," Pasam said. "I lost my job, I lost my income, I lost my health plan."

Surprised?  Why?  We live in a de facto fascist police-stateDemocratic republic in name only.

"He said he and his girlfriend had planned to get married that year, but everything changed when that letter arrived. After Pasam's visa was terminated, he left the United States within the week. He now lives in India. Pasam chose to take the legal route and left the United States within the week. But approximately 250 of his potential classmates didn't, and were later arrested by ICE, according to The Washington Post. "The students impacted by Farmington lost the chance to eventually apply for a work visa," Nathanson said, adding it is common for international students to eventually get a work visa to stay in the United States. "In an alternate world that's probably what many of them would have been able to do." Pasam, who now lives in India, said he and his girlfriend have since broken up due to the distance, and he's struggled a lot during the last two years. Despite what he's been through, Pasam hopes to return to work in the United States one day. But first, he wants to win the lawsuit. "I want to get my money back," he told ABC News. According to Nathanson, the students of Farmington would be happy to settle with the United States. "That is something that was wanted and that they're not offering at this time," Nathanson said. The hearing on the motion to dismiss should take place in the next month, according to Nathanson."

Engage in such fraudulent activity as a private citizen, guess what?  Your sorry ass rightfully goes to prison.  Not, however, when government does the same.  Double standard.  Nazi justice.  Nazi America.  A de facto fascist police-state.  A raucous boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Seig Heil!

When did we lose ourselves?  How are we any better than any other autocracy, dictatorship on the Extreme Left or Extreme Right?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Portend of far worse to come.  NPR reports:

"A new report from the U.S. intelligence community warns of future, unspecified, violence committed by domestic extremists, who have been emboldened by the siege on the U.S. Capitol and conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and coronavirus pandemic. President Biden commissioned a threat assessment shortly after taking office. An unclassified summary of the findings, issued by the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security, was released Wednesday. The full, classified report was sent to the White House and Congress. It concludes that racially and ethnically motivated extremists, such as white supremacists and those tied to violent militias, are considered the "most lethal" threats. Lone offenders or smaller cells of extremists are more likely than organizations to carry out attacks, and are proving harder for law enforcement to track. The threat of militia extremist groups increased last year and is expected to continue to heighten throughout 2021, the report said. That's because of "sociopolitical factors" motivating these groups, "such as narratives of fraud in the recent general election, the emboldening impact of the violent breach of the US Capitol, conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and conspiracy theories promoting violence." The Jan. 6 attack insurrection at the Capitol was preceded by false election-rigging claims by President Donald Trump and others close to him. Those allegations have been repeatedly dispelled. "Domestic violent extremism is typically fueled by false narratives, conspiracy theories, and extremist rhetoric usually spread through social media and other online platforms," said Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in prepared remarks before the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday. The conclusions in Wednesday's report echo earlier analyses by the FBI warning of the ongoing dangers of domestic terrorism. Mayorkas said Wednesday that, for the first time, DHS designated "combating domestic extremism" a national priority area."

Fascinating, isn't it?  Chilling, as well.  Then again, this has been in the offing the last seven decades.

"White supremacy groups are most likely to commit mass casualty attacks against civilians, the intelligence agencies said. Militia-like organizations are more focused on targeting law enforcement and other government personnel and their facilities. Lone offenders pose the most significant challenges to tracking and disrupting their plans, the report summary said. That's because of their "capacity for independent radicalization to violence, ability to mobilize discretely, and access to firearms." Connections are also being made to extremist groups with similar mindsets in other countries, the report said. White supremacy groups in particular are frequently communicating with similar organizations overseas and influencing one other. U.S. agencies have found a small number of those groups have traveled abroad to connect with one another. Germany has reported its own issues of right-wing extremism plaguing the nation's police and security agencies. Recent reports indicate the country's domestic intelligence agency put the nation's largest opposition party, Alternative for Germany, under surveillance as a potential threat to the country's constitution."

Consider the following.  The Associated Press reports:

"The Movement for Black Lives is opposing the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, arguing the bill doubles down on reform strategies that have historically failed to center marginalized communities and address police violence nationwide, according to a blistering letter to congressional leaders, first shared with The Associated Press."

About time a prominent organization with considerable power and influence forcefully challenged this egregious ongoing failure of legislators to provide desperately needed change.  To date, both parties have failed to do their duty.  Failed to correct this horrific injustice.  One of the reasons an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.

"The movement, which was formed in 2014, is a coalition of 150 organizations nationwide that helped drive the global protests against racial inequity last summer. It is demanding Congress create new, comprehensive legislation to confront disinvestment, mass incarceration and systemic racism in America."

What took so long?  Been an issue for decades.

"While the Justice in Policing Act has been called one of the most ambitious efforts in decades to overhaul policing, the movement is concerned it doesn’t address the root causes that have led to Black Americans dying at the hands of police. The House passed the bill earlier this month, but the movement’s opposition presents a new roadblock for Democrats. Even though the party controls both chambers of Congress, a tough road lies ahead for Senate approval. “Over this summer, communities lifted up solutions that would truly address the root causes of police violence and terror,” the movement wrote in a letter addressed to the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., and to Reps. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, and Karen Bass, D-Calif., and Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., and shared with the AP on Wednesday. “Justice in Policing, by its very name, centers investments in policing rather than what should be front and center — upfront investments in communities and people.” The bill, which is named for the man whose killing by police in Minnesota last Memorial Day sparked global protests against racial inequity, would ban chokeholds and “qualified immunity” for law enforcement while creating national standards for policing in a bid to bolster accountability. The bill is supported by President Joe Biden and has received support from some of the nation’s leading civil rights organizations. “The officer that killed George Floyd was looking at the camera as he killed him,” said Bass, who authored the bill, prior to the House vote in an interview with the AP. “Why? Because he felt he could operate with impunity.”

No question.  Here's the problem:

"The movement said that while it does support the end of qualified immunity, which shields law enforcement from certain lawsuits, it believes the bill in its current form focuses on reactive measures and “incrementalist reforms.” Instead, the movement is pushing political leaders to enact the BREATHE Act, which it proposed last July and believes addresses the fundamental causes of police violence. The AP first reported that the BREATHE Act would transform the nation’s criminal justice system through sweeping changes, such as eliminating the Drug Enforcement Administration and the use of surveillance technology, abolishing mandatory minimums and ending life sentences. The bill, designed by the Movement for Black Lives’ Electoral Justice Project, would also redirect funding toward communities to address the nation’s systemic racial injustices. “It’s not just about after the fact accountability,” said Gina Clayton-Johnson, the lead BREATHE Act architect and leadership team member of the Movement for Black Lives’ Policy Table. “There’s this thought that Black people are dying at the hands of police officers because individual officers are bad actors, but it is actually a systemic issue, and if you understand it to be systemic, then the solutions must also be systemic.”

Been true decades.  Yet, no one in law enforcement wanted true change.  Precisely, why there was none.  Both major political parties remain directly responsible.  Gutlessly, refused, and continue to refuse, to rein in the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Sadly, one reason of many why an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.  ... Hear the rumble?

"The letter lists five central concerns driving the opposition, including the fact that the movement believes the act will provide new money to the “very systems that have always served to kill, cage, and destroy the families of Black people.” The movement also criticizes the act for failing to center the voices of “community members who are closest to the problem.” “The bill bans federal use of chokeholds, ignoring the reality that police have killed Black people in this manner regardless of whether these bans are in place,” the letter states. “A no knock warrant ban would not have saved Breonna Taylor’s life, just like a ban on chokeholds did not save Eric Garner’s life. The JPA fails to address the root causes and realities of policing in this country.” Individual organizations are still signing onto the letter, but organizers said the movement is mobilizing 165,000 active supporters to contact their elected officials, as part of their push against the Justice in Policing Act. But the movement faces a significant uphill battle in securing needed political support from lawmakers who will be key in pushing forward the BREATHE Act or revamping the Justice in Policing Act. “This is a radical transformation, challenging the very tenets of the system,” said Nadia Brown, a Purdue University political science professor, who added that change is often incremental in politics. “And that’s a tough act to get Americans to believe — even those who stand with and understand policing in the United States as being a wholly racist and unjust system.”

Few are willing to truly and directly face reality.  Precisely, why nothing substantively changes.

"But the stakes are equally as high for Democratic leaders who were elected in part because of the organizing led by many Black activists on the ground seeking transformative change, Brown said, including some younger generations of voters. “There are large and vocal populations that will not be satisfied,” Brown said. “You can’t divorce racism and the liberty of Black bodies from policing. And that’s what the Movement for Black Lives is trying to get us to think about.”

Must not be forgotten violence perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue remains a problem that impacts all races and ethnic groups.  Not just Blacks.

"And Clayton-Johnson believes transformative change is what’s owed to all Black Americans, including Black organizers and voters who turned out in significant numbers to help elect Biden and other Democrats last year. “Black people have organized, have pushed and created the pathways for you to sit in the seat that you are in and it is because there has been a hope and an understanding that you will deliver on a commitment to race justice and equality,” said Clayton-Johnson, also executive director of the Essie Justice Group. “We are owed the opportunity to be safe and that includes first and foremost to be safe from a criminal legal system that has been harming us and taking the lives of Black people and of our loved ones for years,” she said."

Fox News sexist bullshit challenged by military brass.  The Washington Post reports:

"When Fox News host Tucker Carlson called military efforts to better integrate women a “mockery” of the warrior ethos, pointing out a new pregnancy flight suit and more flexible hairstyle rules, Pentagon leaders mounted an unusually sharp public counterattack."

For damned good reason.  Carlson is full of shit.  A clueless misogynist.

"America’s female troops “will dominate ANY future battlefield we’re called to fight on,” Michael Grinston, the Army’s top enlisted official, wrote on Twitter in response to Carlson’s complaints about a more “feminine” military. Gen. Paul Funk II, who oversees Army training activities, said women in uniform “prove Carlson wrong through determination and dedication.” But despite the expressions of support, female service members continue to face an array of systemic challenges, including underrepresentation at the military’s highest levels; widespread sexual harassment and abuse; and pregnancy-related career impediments."

Sadly, quite true.  Needs to change.  Immediately.

"Although the military has taken steps in recent years to accommodate pregnant and postpartum troops, women report ongoing stigmatization and obstacles to promotion associated with childbearing, both of which contribute to the military’s female retention problem. Government studies show that women, who represent only about 16 percent of the overall force, leave the military at significantly higher rates than men, often citing the toll of sexual assault and the challenges of balancing family and military life. The backlash over Carlson’s remarks this month comes as scrutiny of women’s experiences in uniform intensifies as part of a larger reckoning with the military’s legacy of racism and bias. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, the country’s first Black Pentagon chief, has vowed to confront sexual assault and increase diversity in the ranks."

Needs to do precisely that.

"The situation is vastly different from what it was before 1976, when pregnancy resulted in automatic discharge. In recent years, officials have lengthened maternity leave to 12 weeks and introduced polices aiming to ensure nursing mothers can pump breastmilk on the job. The military now also prohibits pregnancy-based discrimination. Some services give troops a year after childbirth before they have to resume fitness tests, which also provides more time to meet weight standards. “We still have a lot of work to do to make our military more inclusive, more respectful of everyone, especially women,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said in response to Carlson’s remarks. “What we absolutely won’t do is take personnel advice from a talk-show host.”

No shit.  LOL.

Change does need to occur, however:

"But pregnancy-related policies vary between the services, and decisions that can shape careers are often left to individual commanders. Moreover, some female troops see a disconnect between the high-level support women receive from some military leaders on social media and more problematic views they say are common in the rank and file. “There is a very big difference between what those generals are espousing and what you hear down in the ranks,” said one Army officer and mother, who, like other troops, spoke on the condition of anonymity to share candid views. “Out in the ‘normal’ Army, ... the sentiment is more along the lines of, ‘Oh, women get pregnant on purpose to get out of things.’ ” Those feelings are in part grounded in requirements that can take pregnant service members, depending on their duties, out of their assigned positions, which can mean hassle or extra work for their superiors or peers. Military rules that restrict pregnant troops from doing certain activities, such as working around chemicals or on a weapons range, can affect careers, too. Missing a deployment or major exercises could affect a unit commander’s evaluations and chances for promotion or premier assignments. In the Air Force, where women account for 5 percent of pilots and just 2 percent of fighter pilots, safety rules surrounding pregnancy aviators can often translate into career deceleration."

Certainly, needs to change.

"Although recently relaxed regulations allow pilots of non-ejection aircraft to fly from 12 to 28 weeks of pregnancy under certain conditions, prohibitions on flying during the first and third trimesters can mean they lose their flight qualifications and fall behind their peers. To fly during early pregnancy, many female aviators hide their pregnancies. Drone pilots can fly throughout their entire pregnancies. Pregnant pilots are also barred from most formal training programs during pregnancy, even if the training occurs mostly in a simulator, meaning they can miss out on follow-on jobs important for their careers. “I think our leaders would be supportive” of more flexible rules, one female Air Force officer said. “They just haven’t thought through all these policies yet and which ones should change.” Female troops say unconscious bias pervades treatment of military pregnancies. When the female Army officer, then a company commander, finished leading her first major exercise, her second-in-command praised her, saying she had exceeded his expectations. When she had been assigned to lead their unit, he told her, he thought she would quickly get pregnant and dump her duties onto him. Sometimes, male superiors pass over pregnant troops for some activities because of well-intentioned safety concerns or assumptions about their priorities after they give birth. Megan McFarlane, an assistant professor at Marymount University who studies military maternity issues, said that stigma and a host of systemic obstacles mean service members have to approach pregnancy with extra stress and the feeling they need to work harder to prove their worth. That can translate into what she calls “macho maternity,” in which pregnant troops respond to bias by concealing their pregnancy for as long as they can; turning down privileges, such as wearing tennis shoes as they grow heavier; and working during bed rest."

Report goes on and on.  Time for change.  Now.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor?  Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
