Getting online has gotten increasingly difficult and expensive last four months.  Worse, access is outside since most establishments are closed or limited to drive-thru operations.  Lap tops are not designed to be used in such an environment.  Extremely difficult to see the screen.  Time for the readership to step up and provide assistance.  TC 7-24-20

In response to the pandemic, government quickly imposed draconian restrictions making access to public wifi exceptionally difficult.  Consequently, editions of this publication will be briefer and posted as regularly as possible until circumstances change.  TC 3-20-20

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable.  Time to step up.  Now.

Brother dearest.  ... Been awhile, hasn't it, Bro?  A little antsy?  Wondering when the next shoe is about to fall, that is, when you'll be fully exposed for the thieving son of a bitch you truly are?  Patience.  All in good time, good buddy.  When I'm damned good and ready.  Timing just right.  After all, a son of a bitch who's stolen his father's estate needs to be fully exposed publicly for whom and what he is, don't you think?  Indeed, a public service for your neighbors, professional associates, family, and friends, etc..

Conveniently, forget?  Others need to protect themselves against a fraud who masquerades as both a teacher and a counselor, no?  -- How the hell did you ever pass an MMPI some forty years ago to get hired?  You're not stable.  Have not been.  ... Must have really been pissed off at the old man to rip off an estate, no?  How much did you steal while he was alive and supposedly under your care?

How much did you bribe law enforcement to ignore a complaint I filed with them years before the old man died?  How much did you bribe the prosecutor to ignore a complaint filed with her several years ago?  How much?  Use the old man's money to bribe the bitch?  Her cohorts?  Your law enforcement shysters?  While there may indeed be no justice from a corrupt system, fortunately, I do have a way to publicly expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.

... Unlike our grandmother who scrubbed floors on her hands and knees during the Depression for peanuts, only to have what little she had stolen by her son, our uncle, another goddamned thieving son of a bitch just like you.  Remember how, surprise, surprise, there was no life insurance when our grandfather died?  Despite the fact our grandmother gave her thieving bastard son premium money year after goddamned year?  Only, as the thieving son of a bitch he truly was, to have pocketed it.  Again, just like you.

Remember when he booted her out of the house she had bought him when he had had enough of her?  -- Despite the fact he had lied and promised she could stay the rest of her life?  She had to climb two flights of stairs on an ulcerated leg to get to a bathroom he had never built for her at ground level as falsely promised.   Nothing ever happened to the thieving son of a bitch as far as justice was concerned.  Worse, he was never exposed publicly for the thieving son of a bitch he truly was.

Will be different for you, Bro.  While you've bought off authorities, you will be publicly exposed.  In great detail.  In good time.  When I'm damned good and ready.  When exposure will do the maximum figurative damage to your goddamned sordid reputation.  -- Just the truth, brother dearest, however.  Just the truth.

Irony of ironies?  When the thieving son of a bitch died, and our mother was finally informed he had passed, she cried for her brother, -- the bastard thief who stole from her mother.  Sad, isn't it?  Too bad she's not still alive to see you publicly exposed for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you, yourself, truly are.  As was he.  Not in a court of law you've bought off, however.  Right here.

In good time.  Again, when I'm damned good and ready.  Employing the very same tactics used against Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo.  -- On steroids, however, since all dirty family laundry will be aired.  All of it.  No threat.  A promise.  Emails sent to your neighbors, friends, professional associates, businesses you deal with.  Although an enormous amount of work, all doable courtesy of the Internet.  Despite being some 1,800 miles away.  -- Small world, isn't it, Bro?  Enjoy the stolen loot, you son of a bitch.  Forget?  It's all you have.

Brother dearest.  Save all the check stubs from the old man's accounts?  Fraudulently sign any of them yourself?  Think this material couldn't be obtained from the banks either through discovery or a criminal investigation?  Still own the house on Condict Rd.?   Any other properties besides this one and the old man's you stole with the help of your shyster bastard? Be interesting to see how far your assets extend and where.  Think all that information isn't accessible?  That I won't determinedly obtain it?

That not only an extensive Internet search will be conducted that will likely take months to complete?  But an extensive background check as well?  Think the Catholic high school you attended shouldn't be informed of the thievery of one of its graduates?  Think the clerics there would be appalled at their failure to teach you right from wrong?  How about both universities?  Think neighbors in the old man's neighborhood won't be informed of your deception?  Think they don't have a right to know?

Ever follow the advice of Dr. Bert Wiser, psychological statistics professor at MSU?  That is, get treatment for your achingly debilitating instability?  Is that why you wound up looting the old man?  Or, is it simply a convenient excuse you'll use to defend the indefensible?  Think this will end any time soon?  That is, public exposure of you as a thieving son of a bitch?  We're just getting started, Bro.  Just getting started.

Don't like it?  Tough shit.  Sue me you thieving son of a bitch.  Would use discovery to learn and post on this website all there is to know about you, your activities, predilections, business 'deals,' as well as all your financial transactions, etc..  All of it.  Would certainly avoid the expense of an extensive background check on you, thieving brother dearest.

Even if you were successful in court, there is nothing for you to take, this remains, as well, a homesteading state where minimal assets are protected anyway.  This site is hosted in an overseas country that doesn't particularly like government intrusion, remains not prone to cooperate.  Besides, can always upload to another webhost in still yet another country.  The possibilities are endless, Bro.  Just takes willingness, effort, unshakable determination.

Even if I lost it all would be more than worth it to expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.  Even if you bribed a goddamned nazi 'judge' to remove posted material, would not cooperate and be more than willing to rot in jail.  Would certainly keep reposting it all no matter the cost and/or personal consequences every time it was taken down.  Forget, you thieving son of a bitch?  I never ever give up.

Since all I seek is your exposure for the thief you truly are, would all be worth it.  For the sake of principle.  All the work, financial cost, as well as the time I am about to dedicate to this effort, you deceptive, unstable, sick, thieving son of a bitch.  Unlike you, I live on principle and have absolutely nothing to lose.  You do.  Will certainly take great pleasure and satisfaction in doing all I can to publicly expose you for whom and what you are.

To say nothing of placing enormous pressure on prosecutors you and your equally corrupt shyster son of a bitch apparently bribed.  Don't like it?  Again, tough shit. Chew harder.  The public needs to know to protect itself.  From you and your shyster bastard.  People who live and travel in your circles as well.  Including his.  As a thief, you and he can't be trusted by anyone.  You'll determinedly f--k them.

More than willing to provide this truly public service.  People certainly need to know whom and what you are.  What you have sadly become.  You certainly weren't brought up to be a thieving son of a bitch.  What happened?  Where did you lose yourself, Bro?  -- Never mind.  ... Truly doesn't matter.  Only your exposure.

TC 4-22-16

Hey, Bro?  Remember me?  How soon they conveniently forget.  ... Half asleep? -- Out to lunch?  ... In your own perverse little world?  That of a criminal?  Wake up.  Conveniently, gutlessly forget?  Insanely believe you're someway, somehow off the hook?  Think again.  We're not done.  You remain a thief who will be exposed for whom and what your are.  What you certainly have become.  No question about that.  Patience, you thieving son of a bitch.  Exposure is coming.  Promise.

Think I don't have time?  Truly believe the ongoing Presidential fiasco ends no matter who wins?  The murderous decay in law enforcement gets resolved any time soon?  Criminal Wells Fargo employees from local Kingsland bank manager Amanda S. Wright right up to and including CEO John Stumpf get prosecuted in the near future despite egregious criminal activity?  Wouldn't hold my breath, would you?

Think I don't have time to handle all this and your public exposure for the estate-stealing criminal son of a bitch you've truly become?  How could you steal from the old bastard, you incredibly sad sack of shit?  Certainly weren't brought up to be a thief.  What happened to you?  Where'd you lose yourself?

No question, 2017 will be a most remarkable, defining year for you, Bro.  Public exposure for the thieving piece of shit you've sadly become.  It's on the way. Promise.  Hope you sue.  Nothing for you to take.  Tough, isn't it?  Certainly, makes me judgment proof.  Will certainly, as well, take advantage of discovery.  Publish every detail I can get my hands on.  No matter the consequences.  Only consideration?  Prime directive?  Your exposure for whom and what you are.

Readers?  This not-so-brotherly piece of shit stole from our father.  Manipulated the old man to line his pockets.  Just like our uncle on my mother's side of the family did to my grandmother.  Runs in the family.  Our family.   ... Right, Bro?  This game now gets played my way, -- not yours, you son of a bitch.  That is, no more U.S. Mail tag.

Anything sent by mail will be refused, returned unopened.  Want contact?  Email.  libertyinperil@riseup.net.  Quick.  Easy.  Better yet?  A digital record.  Permanent.  Easily accessible.  Easily uploaded to this site when and if it becomes necessary.  The shyster bastard you hired to steal the estate shouldn't expect escape, either, from public exposure as the thieving piece of shit he, like you, truly both are.  Unscrupulous thieves.

Sincerely hope that piece of crap sues as well.  Nothing to take.  Discovery again would be published no matter the personal cost.  Nothing quite like public exposure, is there?  Especially, when it is nothing but the truth and there is absolutely nothing to lose exposing two pieces of criminal shit for whom and what they are.  Two pieces of gutless human excrement who looted an old man.  ... Right, Bro?

There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers.  Glaring sunlight.  Dazzling brilliance.  Amazing how the roaches run for cover.  Equally pointedly, how vermin on two legs manage to so easily prey on the elderly courtesy of the out of control fascist police-state we now live in.  While there'll never be any justice vis a vis this theft, there will be exposure to the brilliant light of day for both criminal perpetrators.  Count on it, you not-so-brotherly criminal son of a bitch.

TC 10-7-16

Hey, Bro?  Hear of Old Sturbridge Village?  Haven't?  ... Not lying, are you, you thieving son of a bitch?  You and your long-term companion EC conspire, bequeath some of the old man's loot to this museum?  An achingly stingy gift of $250-$499, -- considering the size of the estate?  The CEO and Board have any idea you stole it?  Think they'd care?  -- Just getting started, dearest, dearest Bro.  ... Delusionally believe I haven't more than enough time, resources, determination to expose you for the thieving piece of crap you truly are?  ... Under $500 back in 2013?  Remarkably parsimonious with stolen money aren't you?   What does it feel like to have gutlessly ripped off an incompetent old man?  -- Dear old Dad.  Certainly, look forward to digging much deeper into how you and your shyster lawyer managed to bamboozle and loot the old bastard.  Back in the day, certainly wouldn't have fallen for your bullshit.  Would have kicked your worthless, thieving ass out the door.  Intend to expose it to the light of day.  Indeed, a public service. Seatbelts on, you thieving son of a bitch. Tally ho!

TC 3-24-17

... Brief aside, dear readers, for a most exceptional reason.  -- Although infrequent, pressing ongoing personal business must come first on rare occasion.  Hope you agree, moreover, find it entertaining, -- as this writer did crafting what follows.  Principle trumps all.  Remains prime mover, prime directive no matter what.

This pressing issue involves a family thief. A heartless predator preying on the elderly who must be held accountable, exposed to the light of day.  Especially, since authorities failed to do their job.  The following is part of that continuing effort to expose this piece of shit for whom and what he is:

Hey, Bro?  Guess what?  Me, again.  Most determined pain in the ass.  Miss me?  An inconvenient, nagging hemorrhoid that simply won't go away no matter what.  -- A pile with a smile that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

... Delusionally think this most persistent nemesis of yours conveniently disappeared to parts unknown, vanished in thin air? To give a turd a break?  Wake up.  Not a chance, you thieving son of a bitch.  ... When you insanely believe this writer's gone and you're finally in the clear, guess what, here I am, right in your face.

Despite what's going on across our formerly great country, always have more than enough time for personal business.  That is, exposing you, Bro, to the glaring light of day.  A pathetically greedy predator.  Your target, who else, the elderly.  Most defenseless, vulnerable, an easy fleece.  -- Thought you'd steal from the surly old curmudgeon with impunity, no consequences?

Successfully escape accountability? Avoid detection, all responsibility?  Blatant theft of an old man's estate?  A little help from a bought and paid for hopelessly greedy unprincipled shyster?  Supposed cake walk due to 1800 miles separation?  No one to hold you accountable?  Your feet to the fire?  What could you possibly been thinking?

You've read this publication before.  Know precisely who and what I am, what I do.  Never give up.  Never say die.  Ignore all obstacles.  Know full well Liberty In Peril modus operandi remains as relentlessly ferocious, blindingly intense as ever.

No punches pulled.  No slack.  No personal consideration.  Certainly, not for a gutless son of a bitch, no more than a thieving predator.  Looted target, guess who, dear old dad.  Pitiful.  Delusionally believe you had the booty coming?  An entitlement?  For having had to put up with his shit all those years?  Wake up.

Hear of Historic Deerfield?  Of course, you have, you lying son of a bitch.  Forget?  You're one of their not-so-generous 'benefactors.'  ... With all the money stolen from our father's estate, only bequeath them a piss poor $40 bucks?

Unbelievable.  An achingly tight, cheap, thieving, worthless piece of duplicitous crap.  ... Write-off?  Negligible.  ... Feather  in the cap?  How?  Delusionally believe your treachery would never see the light of day?  What planet do you live on?

Board of Trustees Chair Anne K. Groves know full well you looted the estate?  How about President Philip Zea?  Think both don't have a right to know?  How about Anne Lanning, Vice President For Museum Affairs?  To say nothing of Susan Martinelli, Vice President For Business Affairs?

These officials are entitled to know precisely whom they're doing business with.  A thief.  Gutless phony.  Blow-hard fraud.  Hoity-toity dandy.  Worse?  An unprincipled thief who stole from his father.  ... Glaring light of day sucks, doesn't it, Bro?  No escaping the unvarnished truth, this most bitter reality.  Not a chance.

Saddest of all?  Back in the day, Hell would have frozen over before anyone would have have been able to rip off the craggy old bastard.  Remember quite well how intent, determined he was not to be fleeced late in life by a sick son of a bitch like you.

A leech.  Ironic, isn't it?  Gutless rip off of an old man who couldn't adequately handle his affairs any longer.  How do you sleep nights?

Fraud runs in the family, clearly.  History repeating itself.  Right in the footsteps of our grandmother's son, who callously ripped off his mother decades ago.  Again, another achingly pathetic piece of human excrement.  Just like you.  Intend to lay it bare.  Methodically.  Painstakingly. In great detail.  Living, breathing color.

For all to see.  A public service.  Exposure of the criminal piece of human excrement you truly are.  For sustained public review.  A goddamned thief.  Pissed? Chagrined?  Nonplused?  Tough shit.  Sue.  Would certainly immediately post all discovery no matter the consequences.

All snail mail will be returned unopened.  No phone tag.  Got something to say? Email.  Say it right here.  On this website.  In public.  For the world to see.  Will be posted in its entirety.  No editing.  Unlike you, this writer doesn't lie, cheat, steal.  Honors his word.  Intend to expose you precisely for whom and what you are.

Duplicitous predator who preyed on his own father.  Blinding exposure to benefit the community.  Have nothing to lose providing this public service, but you do.  No better disinfectant than sunshine.

.. Think the old bastard not spinning in his grave?  -- Old lady not doing the same?  One thing for certain.  Neither brought you up to be a goddamned thief.  Yet, here we are.  ... Until next time, Tally Ho!

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Tim Chorney, Publisher
Liberty In Peril

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Two hundred forty-four weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do?  Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised?  Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff?  Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up.  Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Small sampling of what's to come in this edition.  Read on.

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Two hundred forty-four weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Two hundred forty-four weeks.   Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be many  others courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  This has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded.  An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

7-3-20

Last three months been getting online at the Kingsland HEB.  Met quite a few readers at the picnic table.  -- People I didn't personally know, but who came up and introduced themselves.  Certainly, grateful for your concern, caring, and moral support.  One of the Front End managers, Kevin, had granted permission to plug in and access HEB Customer wifi at the picnic table some three months ago.  Someone in County government must have subsequently complained. Three months after the fact.  LOL.  Finally got the boot 6-27-20 from the achingly gutless Store Manager who couldn't, or wouldn't stand up to pressure from this asshole.

Pathetic, isn't it?  LOL.  Certainly, knew it was coming.  Hard to believe it took three months.  LOL.  Apparently, the gutless Store Manager, Monty, sent out the second in command, Dan, to deliver the happy news.  Spoke to him awhile, but sadly as expected, he had nothing substantive to say.  Other than, "leave."  LOL.  Advised him to send out the clearly reluctant Store Manager who apparently wanted to avoid the encounter.  Finally, came out.  Imagine that.

Asked the Store Manager, Monty Young, for a business card.  Remarkably, he had none.  Couldn't be, could it?  LOL.  An HEB Store Manager with no business card?  How is that possible?  Unlimited corporate greed?  Aryan arrogance of a privately-owned corporation?  Or, was he simply lying?  Informed him he'd indeed be front and center in this next edition.

Before getting into specific detail vis a vis my conversation with the Store Manager, it must be stated staff at the Kingsland HEB is second to none.  Have known many of them for years.  Work extremely well together as a team.  Certainly, exceptionally customer-friendly.  The problem with this store is not staff.  Not even the Store Manager and Assistant Manager per se, -- who apparently, despite their denials, had been pressured by someone.  It's the HEB corporate management suite at the root of most of the problems at this store.

The following salient issues were discussed with the Store Manager before I left.  -- Interestingly, none of which he denied.  LOL.  Readers, have you noticed cheaper generic products are either continually out of stock or discontinued?  Especially, after the store changed its product line weeks before the pandemic.  Apparently, in an effort to emulate the Marble Falls store that caters to the Horseshoe Bay elite.

New larger shopping carts were brought in to the Kingsland store so shoppers would supposedly buy more product, increase store sales.  Shelves are restocked 24 hrs.  Staff was unhappy because aisles are too narrow for the larger carts.  Makes it harder to stock shelves when the store is open.  Not only that, makes it much more difficult for shoppers to navigate the narrow aisles.

Product pricing has steeply increased.  They accomplish this both by directly raising prices, as well as in engaging in deception, that is, downsizing product.  One recent glaring example is their generic bleach.  For awhile, it was unavailable, out of stock.  Then, it was downsized from three quarts to two.  Price remained at $1.  A 33% increase.  Done deceptively.  At a time when inflation is supposedly non-existent.  What ever happened to the HCF quart and a half ice cream that sold for $1.99?  Long since gone.  Both aforementioned products had already been downsized once before.  LOL.  List can go on and on.  Unbridled corporate greed.

As I reminded the Store Manager, Kingsland residents, for the most part, are poor, young, elderly, and/or disabled, etc.  This store now caters to the rich who live on the lake and Sunrise Beach.  Not sustainable.  ... Especially, if the shit finally hits the fan vis a vis the Trump nazi, and/or a second shutdown occurs courtesy of the raging, poorly-handled, achingly mismanaged pandemic.

To store employees, all of whom I admire, consider personal friends, courageously provide your ongoing grievances to this publication.  I will publish them while protecting your identity.  If you won't stand up, nothing changes.

As I informed the Store Manager, the problem in Kingsland is the fact HEB has no substantive competition.  What is desperately needed is a Walmart or other major corporation to rattle the cage of local HEB management as well as the corporate management suite.  Until that occurs, nothing changes, shit happens.  ... Right, Monty?  Dan?

In the last two and a half weeks or so, three middle-aged women tripped and fell on the curb by the picnic table.  Third time, 6-26-20.  Took the Store Manager and Assistant Manager quite some time to exit the store and arrive with ice to quell the swelling of the woman who had fallen hard on her face.  I subsequently asked Monty to consider painting the curb iridescent red or orange to avoid injury and a future lawsuit.

Responded couldn't be painted red since it wasn't a fire zone.  Could certainly be painted orange or some other bright color.  If management doesn't care about a lawsuit, where is its concern for the pain and suffering if a customer trips, falls, and suffers serious injury?  ... Couldn't care less, Monty?  -- Or, is it, shortsightedly, insurance will indeed take care of it?  Wake up.  Just a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured and sues the living shit out of HEB.  Even if HEB prevails in court, it loses.  Consider the cost of bad publicity.

To the credit of management, both the Store Manager and Assistant Manager return carts to the front of the store, sanitize them, and pick up trash.  Recently, associates informed me the Store Manager wasn't happy about the performance of the Assistant Store Manager.  LOL.  Apparently, ole' Dan got too good at hiding in the store, shirking cart and other duties, etc.  LOL.  That's apparently changed.  ... Trouble in paradise, boys?  LOL.  Itching to retire, Dan?  LOL.  Give me a break.  Never a dull moment, -- at customer and staff expense.

Finally, to the motherf--ker in County government who likely complained, don't flatter yourself.  Three months?  What took so long you gutless piece of shit?  LOL.  No matter what, Liberty In Peril will remain up and running.  Despite the fact it's been more than 21 years, just the very beginning.  Far more to come.  Far more County corruption, malfeasance, criminal activity to be followed up, and/or exposed.  LOL.  ... Bribed by Johnny Greene, Madam County Attorney?

Readers are advised there is a sticker on the back of the power supply stating:  "Please remove this sticker."  It cannot be easily removed.  Will not peel off.  Have hesitated to scrape it off since doing so might obliterate anything underneath it, -- if anything.  It is not covering a vent and there is no technical reason that it be removed.  Certainly, did not affect operation of the supply for the last year and four months I've had the machine.

Before getting on with the usual fare, A Christmas Tale is re-posted in tribute to the late Shelly Comerford.  Although fiction, it is based on the real-life courage and determination of this most remarkable woman who successfully led the fight against the incorporation of Kingsland.  Ms. Comerford died May 3 of this year and will be dearly missed.

A Short Christmas Tale Part 1        December 25, 2014

***Things get pretty hectic this time of year in NPC, -- North Pole City.  ... Santa's aging, hurting.  Arthritis a bit too much for the jolly old elf.  -- Pole Cat's worried.  Watched ole St. Nick age most gracefully.  Year after year.  Interestingly, been best friends with Santa's number one, good ole Rudolph a long, long time.  ... Why would a cat be close friends with a reindeer one might wonder?  Two peas in a pod.

Both have a shiny bright red nose that glows in the dark.  -- Both took a lot of grief from their compadres over the years.  Always one to think ahead, however, Santa thought Pole Cat could certainly take over Christmas Eve duties, fill in for the aging reindeer should it become necessary, -- eventually.  ... And sadly, it had just become so.  -- Aging had not been kind to Rudolph, what with having to move the sleigh some 600 miles a second with more than a little help from his friends of course.  -- Knees and hips had worn out over the years.

Pole Cat was a smart, experienced feline with another reason for wanting to make the trip, -- if his body could indeed hold up.  Cats have a remarkable knack of making social contact, communicating with one another.  Even at great distances.  Pole Cat had his eye for years on a sweet old friend named Purr in Forboden.   ... One heck of a good looking feline, -- if he had to say so himself.

Purr's mistress was Grandmarm.  A dear sweet elderly woman who took great care of Purr.  -- Purr always returned the favor.  Grandmarm was getting up there, -- almost 93.  Had been abandoned by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.  ... Same old same old about the young not caring about the old.  What ever changes?  Right?

Worried Purr.  Greatly.  Loved the dear old lady.  Grandmarm wasn't doing well.  Even Purr couldn't raise her spirits any longer.  Pole Cat knew all this.  Sensed it deep in his heart.  -- Goes back to that Zen thing cats seem to have such a knack for.  Decided something had to be done.  Now.  Also knew his best friend Rudolph might not be up to the rigors of the task fast approaching the very next night.  Christmas Eve.

... So did the jolly old elf himself.  First time in history.  Both knew what had to be done.  -- Pole Cat didn't really know if he had it in him, however.  Wasn't so sure of himself as he had been in his younger, bolder days.  Assured Santa and Rudolph he'd do his best no matter what.  More than ever, the old cat certainly wanted to finally meet Purr.  Might even get one last chance.  -- If he could make it.  ... Or, die trying.  Go for broke.  One last time.

Pole Cat got it in gear that most magical next night.  Managed to get the team up to flight speed.  As they approached the United States, Santa gave the order to reduce air speed.  -- So he could wave to the National Guard pilots there to greet them as they passed on their way to their first stop.  -- Always a tricky move since the pilots at full after burner still couldn't catch him at sleigh flight cruising speed.

Yet, the wave to the pilots was extremely important to Santa.  He even made a point of flying in formation with the jets all the way to his first destination.  For some reason or other, the pilots, however, were never believed by their commanders upon debriefing after their return to base.  -- But they knew the truth and that was all that mattered.

Purr and Grandmarm were exhausted that evening.  Retired earlier than usual.  -- Purr was more than happy to curl up on Grandmarm's bed that cold, cold December night.  Snow had been lightly falling all day.  A light sleeper, Purr got up in the middle of the night to nibble on some Tender Vittles Grandmarm always left her in the kitchen.  Imagine the old cat's surprise when she saw a warm red glow begin to overtake, overwhelm the kitchen.  Ambiance like she had never seen before.  What could it be?

Heard the gentle ring of sleigh bells in the backyard.  -- What the .... ???  Couldn't be, could it?  Purr quickly forgot the pain in her hind legs, the fact she was an old cat.  Jumped up like a kitten into the window to see what was happening outside.  Couldn't believe her eyes.  Blinked.  Rubbed a paw across both. Was she dreaming?

Then, heard a light tap on the glass.  Saw Pole Cat and Santa smiling at her.  Having just woken from the brilliant cherry-red glow permeating the house, Grandmarm stood right behind Purr.  A look of wonder quickly crossing her face.  A flashback to Christmas after Christmas many, many years ago.  As tears flowed down one cheek, then the other.

... A far more sinister flashback, as well, to incident after incident of violent physical abuse perpetrated by her father in the name of discipline all those decades before.  Had trouble walking days after a beating.  A fishing pole broken over her back.  No kid should ever have to live like this.  The overwhelming flow of emotion surprised her, --having thought she had put it all behind so, so long ago.

Purr turned around, looked up quizzically, lovingly rubbed her head against her hand, then uttered, "Brrooww?"  That is, "Mom, won't you let them in?  It's cold outside."  "Yes, you're quite right sweet, sweet darlin' my most favorite little girl.  What was I thinking?," responded Grandmarm struggling to regain some sense of composure.  -- A night Purr and Grandmarm would certainly never ever forget.  ... Nor would Pole Cat and Santa. ***

                                                        A Short Christmas Tale Part 2        December 25, 2015

***  Things had not gone well in NPC, -- North Pole City this past year.  Santa's health had markedly deteriorated.  There was no way he would be able to make the trip.  What to do?  There had always been a contingency plan.  Mrs. Claus in fact had made several trips over the years as co-pilot.  Knew what she had to do and how it needed to be done.

People had had the wrong impression of her.  Thought she only baked cookies and gingerbread men.  Not so.  Was truly an equal partner to Santa.  ...Must be said, however, -- sometimes to the old elf's chagrin.  ... He knew she was most unhappy about his decision to postpone deliveries to Syria for security reasons the last few years.

They had always agreed the one making the trip ultimately made the decision as to how it was to be executed.  --The first time in history Santa was scared.  Absolutely terrified.  For the safety of his wife and crew.  Santa had succumbed to ISIS terror.  Allowed these brutal bastards to effect his judgment.  Prevent him from doing his job.

Mrs. Claus believed the terrorists had won.  Default driven by unbridled fear.  Santa was quite aware she would probably force the issue if given the chance.  A growing sense of dread began to overtake him.  Paralyzing gut-wrenching terror.  His inability to make the trip this year was a perfect opportunity.  An opportunity she intended to take advantage of.

... And, indeed, she did.  But before doing so, decided to talk to Pole Cat first, -- who had guided the sleigh in Rudolph's absence the year before.  Pole Cat was certainly one tough old cat.  Game for just about anything.  Especially, in his day.  ... Had kicked every canine's gluteus maximi in the community bar none.  He just wouldn't put up with any dog poking fun at his brilliantly glowing red nose.  Even as he aged, they wisely gave him wide birth.

-- Mrs. Claus suspected she would have his support no matter what.  She did.  Not only that, advised he strongly suspected she would not only have his support, but that of Rudolph and the rest of the reindeer.  Mrs. Claus decided it was time to get the whole sleigh crew together for a strategy session. ... Without Santa's knowledge.

She planned to enter Syrian airspace at visual flight speed, -- rather than warp.  To make a point.  ... Everyone on the ground would see the sleigh.  They would know they were there and did exist.  More than just a tale believed in by tots.  Extremely dangerous.  They could be shot down.  Yet, Mrs. Claus believed it wouldn't happen.

-- Their visual presence would be so unnerving she thought it would protect them from harm.  More importantly, it would indicate there was a much higher power at work. There was.  The Creator had indeed empowered ole St. Nick several hundred years earlier.  Wasn't particularly happy about recent atrocities committed by ISIS, however, to say the least.

Mrs. Claus was quite aware of the Creator's profound chagrin, growing anger.  Frustration at the world's inability to solve a problem it had created.  She decided to finally do something about it.  At least make the attempt.  The day had come to meet with her crew.  She addressed Pole Cat, Rudolph, and the rest of the reindeer.  Explained her plan.  Then asked for a show of hands in support, excuse me, paws.  Every paw immediately shot up.  Including Rudolph's.  Quite an act of courage since he was still having severe problems with arthritis.

This was a trip he was not going to miss no matter what.  No matter the personal cost.  Including his life.  All the reindeer, as well as Pole Cat, were unhappy they had not delivered goodies to the children of Syria for several years.  All were willing to risk life and limb.  Mrs. Claus was most impressed with their courage.  Hid a tear or two as she saw every paw rocket up in support.  Unanimous support.  It was decided Pole Cat and Rudolph would fly lead, -- to light the way.

What she truly worried about was Santa's reaction to their decision.  She was going no matter what, however.  It was a week before Christmas.  She broke the news to the jolly old elf.  As expected, he was not a happy camper.  Feared for his wife and crew.  Knew she was determined, however.  Would go no matter what he thought or advised.

Santa had maintained contact with the American fighter pilots, however, that always greeted him when he approached U.S. airspace.  Phoned one of them when informed of his wife's decision.  The existence of Santa was well-known about the aviation community.  Although no one was willing to admit it.  Or talk openly.

That was about to change.  The President was quickly informed.   Despite the fact careers of the pilots were indeed at stake.  The decision was made by the coalition to cease all hostilities three hours before the sleigh was to enter Syrian airspace.  The cease fire would be in effect 24 hours.   Fighter jets were to be withdrawn to the Syrian border, kept fully armed, fueled, and in the air.  Allies were informed by unencrypted command and control transmissions the enemy could not miss or mistake.

ISIS did not know what to think.  Thought it might be a ruse.  A trick.  Decided it best to play along.  Break off hostilities at the hour of truce.  See what happens.  Three hours later Mrs. Claus gave the order to drop out of warp about two hundred miles off the Syrian border.  Immediately, the sleigh came into visual contact with the fighter jets.

She waved to each as they broke off to remain out of Syrian airspace.  They were going in unescorted.  The squadron leader radioed her they were not being illuminated, that is, all anti-aircraft radar was still off.  He wished her luck and godspeed as the sleigh entered Syrian airspace.  They were flying in at visual flight speed.  On their own.  Unescorted.  No fighter cover.

Immediately,  ISIS ground fighters spotted the sleigh and reindeer.  Were astounded to see a cat and a reindeer illuminating the way with brightly lit red noses.  Not a shot was fired as the sleigh proceeded about its mission.  Delivery after delivery was made without incident or hostile action.  Live coverage of this most unusual night was provided by media as Mrs. Claus and her crew continued their work.  Indeed, a sight to behold.

When all deliveries were finished in Syria, Mrs. Claus ordered the sleigh back into warp to hopefully finish all deliveries within 24 hours, -- and dawn breaking.  Meanwhile, Grandmarm and Purr had watched the unfolding drama on the boob tube.  Both wondered if Mrs. Claus and Pole Cat would visit them before the night was through.

Doubted it since the sleigh would spend several additional hours in Syria making deliveries at visual flight speed.  Both were tired, totally exhausted from all the high drama.  Decided to retire for the evening.  Meanwhile, Mrs. Claus and crew were desperately trying to make up time.  Determined to finish the work before dawn.

As the first tinges of light appeared in the east, the sleigh dropped out of warp.  Mrs. Claus and crew could see Purr and Grandmarm's house right below.  As they drew closer, the red glow flooded the house, awakening both Purr and Grandmarm.  Both could see Mrs. Claus carrying two red coats as Grandmarm let them in.

Both were informed by Mrs. Claus they were to be guests of her and Santa at North Pole City.  The coats were to keep them warm for the trip to NPC.  They got in the sleigh and Mrs. Claus ordered warp drive.  A small fraction of a second later they dropped out of warp and were hovering above, receiving a standing ovation from the entire NPC community including Santa.  He was so proud of her and the crew.  Grateful they were all alive, but exhausted.

Twentyfour hours had passed.  The ceasefire was over.  Not a shot had been fired. ...48 hours had passed.  Still no gunfire.  Both sides were waiting for the other to make the first move.  Neither did. Three days later both sides, sadly, still had no clue how this would end.  Imagine that.  They couldn't figure it out.  Hadn't a clue.  What would it take? ***

How would you like to be this guy?  Desperately need a little gratitude?  Seatbelts on:  CBS News reports:

"When UPS driver Anthony Gaskin rounded the corner during his delivery route last Tuesday, he saw hundreds of people lining the street, cheering for him. They were residents of the Hallsley neighborhood in Richmond, Virginia, who consider Gaskin a hero. They gathered to thank Gaskin for being a positive light during the dark days of the pandemic. The group was organized by Patty Friedman. "Through COVID, Anthony has continued working, delivering packages at our doors, record numbers of them, over 180 times to date," Friedman told CBS affiliate WTVR. "I wanted to thank him personally for how much he helped me feel welcome when I moved in during a pandemic. It was terribly lonely and he was always the highlight of my day." "Mentioning this to a few people and the response I got was all I needed to know I was not alone," Friedman continued. When Gaskin pulled up that day, he was shocked by the number of people lining the street, holding up signs and shouting his name. Even his UPS supervisors showed up to celebrate his hard work. "A humble man, he needed to be coaxed, but eventually, slowly drove his truck down the road while children and adults held up signs, screamed his name, honked their horns, and rang bells," Friedman said. Photos show Gaskin visibly moved by the gesture, wiping away tears. Several residents praised the essential worker for his dedication and positivity during the pandemic. "Anthony always smiles, waves, and goes above and beyond to deliver packages with care," one neighbor told WTVR. "He makes you feel like a friend when you see him. He brightens our day, whenever he drops off a package, which is frequently at our house! He stands out from ALL other delivery drivers and we love him! Cheers to Anthony!" "Thank you Anthony for all you do," another neighbor said. "My 6-year-old daughter hasn't seen either set of grandparents in over a year. This has been very hard on everyone. Many of the packages you deliver are from them. The joy the packages bring makes it worthwhile. Thank you for always delivering them with a kind smile and a friendly wave!" Sometimes he is the only outside face we see during the day," another neighbor wrote. "We appreciate his hard work and dedication during the pandemic, which delivered food, supplies, and even holiday gifts to a high-risk family."

Uncommon Valor.

Too bad the above wasn't all there was to cover.  Back to the usual fare:

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

A follow-up to another gutless murder of a man shot in the back by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  ABC News reports:

"A Black man who was fatally shot by a Texas police officer last week died from a single gunshot wound to the back, according to results of an independent autopsy released by an attorney for his family. Joshua Feast, 22, died Dec. 9 after he was shot by La Marque police Officer Jose Santos, who is now on paid leave. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who is representing Feast's family, said the autopsy results released Wednesday night align with statements from witnesses who said Feast was running away from police when he was shot. “We, now based on the results of the independent autopsy and based on the medical records taken from the night that Joshua Feast was killed, are demanding that Officer Santos be terminated immediately,” Crump said. A La Marque spokesperson told the Houston Chronicle that officials had no comment other than those previously issued. La Marque Police Chief Kirk Jackson has said that Feast was a person of interest in several recent shootings in the city on the southern edge of Houston and that weapons were found at the scene of his fatal shooting. The Galveston County sheriff’s office and district attorney’s office are investigating Feast’s death."

'Comforting,' isn't it?  Think there'll be any justice?

CBS News reports:

"A southeast Texas man killed by police last week was shot in the back, according to an autopsy commissioned by the family of the slain man. The results of the independent autopsy in the death of 22-year-old Joshua Feast were announced Wednesday evening by national civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who is representing the family. Crump called for the firing of the La Marque police officer who opened fire, Jose Santos, and the immediate release of bodycam videos. Investigators have said Feast pointed a gun when Santos tried to approach him about an outstanding felony warrant on December 9, but Crump said Feast posed no threat and was shot while fleeing. "He was a defenseless man who was running away," Crump said. "There was no reason for [Santos] to shoot and kill this young man, who had only turned 22 three weeks ago." Crump said the autopsy results, which showed Feast suffered a single gunshot wound to the upper right back, were consistent with the accounts of witnesses. Neighbors tell CBS affiliate KHOU that Feast was running away when he was shot in the southeast Texas town of La Marque, outside Galveston. Witnesses said Santos yelled Feast's name but didn't instruct him to stop or put his hands up until after he was lying on the ground, according to Crump. Crump said Santos kicked the man after he shot him, citing a witness account. Crump said the bullet never exited Feast's body. Feast suffered severe internal injuries and lost more than 500 milliliters of blood, Crump said, adding that Feast had already died when he arrived at the hospital. Galveston County Sheriff Henry Trochesset, whose department is investigating the shooting, told CBS News that investigators told him video of the incident shows Feast pointed a gun at the officer. Trochesset said the officer had approached Feast because he was wanted on a warrant for being a felon in possession of a gun. Trochesset said he had not seen the video, but that it was his understanding Feast was running toward officers with the gun before turning and fleeing. He said the video was being enhanced as part of the investigation to determine exactly what happened, and that investigators were in the process of collecting more video and witness statements."

Jesus Christ.  The son of a bitch Sheriff is making a judgment in favor of his jackbooted thug in uniform without having seen the video.  Give me a break.

More disingenuous bullshit:

"Trochesset said Feast dropped a 9mm weapon in the roadway and that EMS workers found a .45 pistol in Feast's clothing. He said the video would not be released because it is evidence in the ongoing probe, the results of which would be turned over to the Galveston County District Attorney's office. Crump said he's filed a request with the Trochesset's office to release the results of the official autopsy and to show the family the video. Feast's mother, Lakeisha Feast, said she wants to see the video before her son's funeral on Friday for her own "peace of mind." Feast was a father of two toddlers, and Lakeisha Feast spoke holding Feast's young son, Josh Jr. "I just feel like my son shouldn't be dead and the officer should be held accountable," Feast said. "My grandkids should still have their father here. It's very hurtful."

Here's the problem:

"Crump has said Santos is the same officer seen in a video showing a different incident during a 2013 arrest in Galveston in which a group of officers is seen beating and kicking a Black man and holding his head underwater along a beach. CBS News has not confirmed that Santos is one of the officers in the video. Crump said Santos was working as a Galveston police officer at the time, and a federal lawsuit filed in 2014 over the incident names Santos as one of the defendants. Santos denied allegations of excessive force in the lawsuit, which was later dismissed. Santos resigned from the Galveston Police Department in December 2013, according to the Galveston County Daily News, but a department spokeswoman didn't have a reason for the resignation."

How about that?

"Crump said the 2013 incident should have precluded Santos from being hired at the neighboring police department. "If they would have taken his gun and badge away from him after what he did in 2013, Joshua Feast would have been here today," Crump said at a Wednesday press conference.  The La Marque police department did not return a request for information about Santos' employment from CBS News."

Surprised?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

In follow-up to the Casey Goodson killing by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue, The Washington Post reports:

"Dozens of protesters raised Subway sandwiches overhead this weekend in front of the Ohio Statehouse steps, in a symbolic gesture to the memory of a man whose life relatives say ended with unjust violence. Protests descended on this state capital's downtown following the fatal shooting of Casey Goodson Jr., a 23-year-old Black man whose relatives say he was entering his grandmother's home carrying Subway sandwiches when a sheriff's deputy shot him on Dec. 4. The deputy's lawyer said Goodson pointed a gun at the officer. Contradictory accounts and an investigation that critics say lacks transparency have marred the case in the 12 days since Goodson's death. There is no body-camera footage, and officials have not explained how or why Deputy Jason Meade confronted Goodson in the first place; Goodson was not suspected of a crime before the shooting. Meade has been placed on paid administrative leave while police investigate the incident."

No justice.  Raw nazism.

"Some residents have expressed frustration over minimal transparency in the investigation that has followed, criticism that is reminiscent of the widespread racial justice demonstrations that brought residents in dozens of American cities into the streets over the summer, including in Columbus. Despite those months of protest, activists say little has changed in Columbus."

Not just there.  Throughout our formerly great country.

"U.S. Marshal Peter Tobin, who oversees the joint task force with which Meade had just completed an operation before the shooting, quickly called the shooting "justified," a statement he later retracted as "based on insufficient information."

The son of a bitch should have immediately resigned in disgrace.  Cannot be trusted.

"Columbus resident Kurt Looper, 64, who lives blocks from the home where Goodson was killed, said the shooting is a sign of a persistent problem with law enforcement nationwide. "It doesn't make a difference when you are a Black man. They will follow you wherever they want to follow you and shoot wherever you are, and then find a way to make it seem justified," Looper said. "I think we're coming to the realization that there is very little accountability with law enforcement any and everywhere. It's just unfortunate that we are the capital city, and we still can't even get a grip on this."

Not just Blacks this is happening to.

"Residents say they are angry not just about the manner of Goodson's death, but also about the subsequent investigation, in which local law enforcement opted to investigate, rather than outsource the probe. In June, as racial justice demonstrations exploded downtown, Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther (D) signed an executive order requiring police shootings to be investigated by the state attorney general's Bureau of Criminal Investigation. The goal was "to provide an additional layer of independence to build trust with the community," said Ginther's spokeswoman Robin Davis. But the order did not extend to the county sheriff's office, she said. As a result, the sheriff's office did not immediately request the attorney general's help, instead turning to the Columbus Division of Police, whose Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) is now overseeing the investigation. Prosecutors charged more police after Ferguson but struggled to win convictions. Will that change after George Floyd?"

Snowball's chance.  Forget?  A de facto fascist police-state where nearly anything goes.

"Activists are skeptical about how independent that investigation can be. The sheriff's office and Columbus police communicate and cooperate regularly, and they work out of a common command center downtown, local officials say. Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin was a 31-year member of the Columbus police, and his son is an officer in the Columbus police department, according to the sheriff's website."

Forget?  In a  de facto fascist police-state conflicts of interest reign supreme.  The jackbooted nazi way.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  'Sonny Boy?'

"Tobin — the federal official overseeing the criminal fugitive task force that Meade was working with minutes before he shot Goodson — was a longtime veteran of the Columbus Police Department, too. During his 24 years with the Columbus police, Tobin also "cofounded the Columbus Police Officer Support Team which assists officers involved in police involved shootings and other traumatic incidents," according to the U.S. Marshals Service website."

Most convenient, isn't it?  Craftily designed to protect the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.

Get this:

"Three days into the police department's investigation, the police chief called Ohio Attorney General David Yost (R) and asked his office to take over, Yost said. Yost said he later learned that the request came at the suggestion of Ginther, "who is concerned that the investigation be seen to be sufficiently distant from Franklin County." Yost declined. "The reason we were unwilling to take it is there's no crime scene anymore. It's been investigated, photographed, collected, processed. It's done and gone," he said."

How about that?

"Yost said state leaders have been pushing law enforcement departments to avoid "do-it-yourself" investigations, but there are no set rules about who investigates when a local law enforcement agency kills someone. Agencies can request that the investigation be carried out by a sister agency within their own or an overlapping jurisdiction."

Anything to protect the criminals in blue.  Whatever it takes.

Consequently:

"That's provided little consolation to Columbus residents calling for a fair investigation into Goodson's death. The Goodson family's attorneys and local activists spoke of a long history of questionable police conduct in Columbus."

All over our formerly great country.  By design.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  'Sonny Boy?'

"Investigators from the Justice Department have launched a concurrent investigation into whether Goodson's civil rights were violated. The presence of federal investigators has bolstered the Goodson family's faith in the investigation's integrity, said family attorney Sean Walton, noting that family members and the attorneys met with Justice Department investigators and Columbus police on Friday."

Grasping at straws?

"Columbus residents' emotions are still raw from the killings of 13-year-old Tyre King and 23-year-old Henry Green in 2016, also at the hands of police — neither of which led to an indictment, said Scott Woods, 49, a local activist. "There's nothing that a law enforcement official can do that would appear to garner any reasonable punishment, up to and including murder," Woods said. "It's as if they are untouchable. They can do anything, and it doesn't matter how much we protest."

That's right.  All over the country.  Law enforcement cannot be trusted.

Considering the times and circumstances, the following has no credibility:

"A spokeswoman for the sheriff said, "The Franklin County Sheriff's Office supports a fully independent and transparent investigation" of Goodson's case, and provided a copy of a statement released by Meade's attorney. Meade was heading back to his office in an unmarked vehicle belonging to the Marshals Service, when he encountered Goodson, according to his attorney, Mark C. Collins. Collins declined to provide details about how the encounter started and escalated but said Goodson ignored commands to drop a gun. The Columbus Police Department’s Critical Incident Response Team has said that a gun was found at the scene of the shooting and that Goodson is a licensed gun owner with a concealed-carry permit."

Here's the problem:

"In a 911 call, a neighbor described hearing "four shots." There are no known witnesses to the shooting, officials and attorneys say. Calls to 911 by Goodson's grandmother and cousin suggest that at least two law enforcement officers quickly rushed into the house and kept them at a distance from Goodson's body. Davis, the mayor's spokeswoman, said police are investigating reports of a verbal altercation before the shooting. Sarah Gelsomino, the family attorney, said they heard no yelling or other commotion before the gunshots. "They saw Casey on the floor and Meade in the doorway yelling at them and pointing a gun at them," Gelsomino said. In her 911 call, Goodson's grandmother, Sharon Payne, said: "My grandson just got shot in the back when he come in the house. … I don't know if he's okay." Officers quickly ordered relatives away from the scene, she said, leaving them unable to get a good look at the man's injuries or render assistance. "They were threatening everybody in the house," Payne told the dispatcher. When the dispatcher asks a minute into the call whether Goodson is breathing, Payne said: "I don't know. They won't let me in the kitchen." Goodson's cousin, who was also at the scene, told another dispatcher, "I don't know if they really are police for real. … They won't let us walk over there."

Nazi America.  Goddamned de facto fascist police-state.  Jackbooted criminal motherf--kers in blue.

"The summer of racial reckoning following the police killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor in the spring has brought a higher level of scrutiny to the conduct of municipal police forces toward Black Americans. Various cities and counties across the country have passed bans on chokeholds and no-knock warrants. Some have sought to redirect police funding."

The problem is throughout the United States.  Perpetrated against all races.

"John O'Grady, who sits on the Franklin County Board of Commissioners, said all three commissioners have agreed to deliver on body cameras that Baldwin requested this summer, but they are in the final stages of figuring out funding."

Should have happened years ago.

These bastards still don't get it:

"Some officials and activists say the heightened scrutiny given to such shootings is positive and helps ensure accountability. Others say it is a double-edged sword. "I think there are certainly a lot of public officials that are going to be scrutinizing the investigation," O'Grady said. "The folks who are involved in the investigation need to figure out how to walk the line between not hampering their investigation, yet at the same time understanding the public's right and desire to know."

Not even the issue.  Nowhere near.  There is no transparencyNever has been.  Consequently, this criminal activity by the jackbooted bastards in blue continues unabated.

The following is a smoke screen designed to protect the criminals in blue:

"Yost said his office has been wrestling with the same question and is working on a proposal to present to the state legislature in 2021 that he hopes will standardize and streamline the way information comes out during a police shooting investigation, giving the process greater credibility. "My feeling is we don't give people enough information when we have it, but we give too much information too quickly," he said. For example, releasing body-camera footage at the outset of an investigation without putting it in the context of other evidence can lead to inaccurate conclusions, Yost said."

Goddamned bullshit used to protect criminal officers.

"Nana Watson, president of the NAACP's Columbus branch, said activists for now are prepared to wait calmly for the investigation to play out and for details of the autopsy, which officials said could take up to 14 weeks to complete. She added, "This community will not be satisfied if no charges are brought against Deputy Meade." On Saturday, peaceful demonstrators marched through downtown Columbus, holding pictures of Goodson and "Black Lives Matter" signs. Some displayed pictures of Meade and the word "Wanted." "We want the truth about Casey Goodson Jr.," local pastor Mike Young told the crowd. "This was a good man. This man was not a threat to society." Melissa St. Clair, a Columbus City Schools teacher and Goodson's former sixth-grade teacher, recounted memories of Goodson to the crowd, including the times he reached out to her after the murder of her son — years after he had been in her classroom. He reached out again as she was recovering from a car accident. "Casey Goodson was a good man. He couldn't hurt nobody," St. Clair said. When she heard about how he had died, "I knew instantly in my soul, they got this one wrong."

By design.

No justice.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

In follow-up to a case covered earlier here and elsewhere, The Washington Post reports:

"At the start of the Tuesday morning commute, an FBI agent was involved in a shooting aboard a Metro Red Line Train in Maryland. In the 48 hours since, the agency has refused to say who fired a weapon, declined to give the medical condition of the person wounded and provided no details on what led to the shooting or released the name of the agent involved after several inquiries from The Post. The FBI would not even say whether the person who was sent to the hospital was still alive. The blackout comes as police departments nationwide are under pressure to be more transparent about shootings involving their officers and are facing scrutiny over the use of force. A police-reform group based in Montgomery County blasted the lack of details from authorities. “The Silver Spring Justice Coalition is angry at the lack of transparency in this shooting in Bethesda,” said Katie Stauss, interim co-chair of the Silver Spring Justice Coalition. “We expect our local leaders to raise hell about the failure to disclose the circumstances of this shooting.”

We've lost ourselves.  Day is night, night is day, and shit smells perversely sweet in the goddamned de facto fascist police-state we now live in.

"While ridership is down because of the pandemic, there are few spaces more public than the Metro system during commuting hours. The shooting shut down a station and disrupted service for many commuters Tuesday morning. A Metro spokesman, Ian Jannetta, provided some basics Tuesday morning: The incident unfolded about 7 a.m. when transit police received a report of “an FBI agent-involved shooting aboard a Red Line train near Medical Center.” Jannetta also said that “a gunshot wound victim was taken from Medical Center Station.” He said Metro Transit Police and the FBI were investigating. The FBI later issued a statement, which read in total: “The FBI is reviewing an Agent-Involved Shooting which occurred earlier this morning aboard a Red Line train near Medical Center, Montgomery County, Maryland. One individual was wounded and since transported to a local area hospital for medical assistance. “The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents seriously. In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under investigation by the FBI’s Inspection Division. The review process is thorough and objective and is conducted as expeditiously as possible under the circumstances. As this remains an on-going matter, the FBI has no further comment.”

There is no transparency.  None.  Never has been.  To ensure criminal officers are protected.  Not to ensure the integrity of an investigation.  Like the Trump nazi, law enforcement remains a congenital liar.

"The lack of information follows a pattern in the Washington area of different levels of disclosure for officer-involved shootings. When the shooting involves a local officer, police departments typically release basic information about the victim and shooter soon after the incident, and more about each person as the case unfolds. When Prince William County police shot and killed a man last week, they provided extensive details of the incident and the name of the victim, although they have not yet named the officers."

Why not?  Clearly, to protect the sorry asses of the criminals in blue.

"Other local jurisdictions in the area also provide more information about shootings by police. In the District, a new law mandates that D.C. police make public body camera video within five business days of a deadly or serious use-of-force incident, and identify the officers directly involved. When police fatally shot an 18-year-old man in September, D.C. police made video available the next day, which helped calm tensions. After a shooting in Fairfax County on Thursday, the police department there offered a basic outline of details leading up to the incident in less than two hours of the event: officers responded to the report of a shot person shortly before 11 am when “they got into confrontation with a gunman and he was shot.” But when a federal agency is involved, transparency is often an afterthought. After two U.S. Park Police officers fatally shot a man in 2017, both the Park Police and the FBI maintained rigorous silence about the case for two years. For many years, the Park Police has refused to release the names of officers involved in shootings."

That's a problem.  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in law enforcement.

More clueless bullshit:

"Police officials said the differing constituencies of local police and federal agencies create a different dynamic, with more urgency for the police when one of their officers is involved. “The community feels like they have a stake in it” when a local officer has shot someone, said former Montgomery County police chief J. Thomas Manger. “They have a real interest in these kinds of use of force and these kinds of cases, and they want accountability. I wonder sometimes if, because it’s a federal agent, that they don’t feel that same connection.”

Time for these agencies to finally wake up.  Stop making excuses.  Start applying the same level of justice to all no matter who the hell it is.

More disingenuous empty rhetoric:

"Manger, the former head of the national Major Cities Chiefs Association, said he felt that any police agency, whether federal, state or local, “has an obligation to be forthcoming about any use of force, especially deadly force.” Police departments nationwide have grown more forthcoming in recent years about their shooting incidents, often releasing video soon after the event."

Not all of them.  Nowhere near.

The following?  Cluelessly, insane:

"But federal agencies “don’t feel the same pressure that a local police chief feels,” Manger said. “A local police chief feels a very deep obligation to keep the community informed, to be transparent about the investigation into these cases. That means releasing the name of the officer or agent involved.” If a police chief withheld information after a shooting, Manger said, “the local council, the local mayor are going to demand something be done. The public’s going to demand something be done. The people that would have to exert pressure on the Justice Department, or the Interior Department, that’s Congress. You think they’re exerting pressure? I don’t think they are.”

Clearly, not willing to defund these agencies when this shit happens.  -- That's the only way to hold them accountable since no one is willing to prosecute these pieces of shit.

"In November 2017, two U.S. Park Police officers shot Bijan Ghaisar, a 25-year-old Fairfax County, Va., man after a pursuit and several traffic stops. The Park Police issued a news release after the shooting with bare details of the incident, and then never discussed it again. The agency did not reveal Ghaisar’s name or the officers’ names, or why the officers shot Ghaisar. When the FBI took over the investigation after three days, it did not release any information for two years."

The public is tired of this shit.  Precisely, why an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.

"Ghaisar’s family said they were never given any information from Park Police or the FBI, and were not told how public information would be handled. They learned that their son had been shot by the Park Police by watching the news in a hospital waiting room. Ten days after the shooting, it was the family — not the Park Police or FBI — that announced Ghaisar’s death. Family members learned the officers’ names only after filing a civil suit against the Park Police, and they learned details of the incident only because a third agency — the Fairfax County police — released an in-car video of the pursuit and shooting, over the FBI’s objections."

... Hear the rumble?  Too deaf?

Gets worse.  Get this.  ABC News reports:

"The dashcam video captured a horrific scene: a Kansas sheriff's deputy in a patrol truck mowing down a Black man who was running, shirtless, across a field in the summer darkness after fleeing a traffic stop. Lionel Womack — a 35-year-old former police detective from Kansas City, Kansas — alleges in a excessive force lawsuit filed Thursday that he sustained serious injuries when Kiowa County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Rodriguez intentionally drove over him during the Aug. 15 encounter. Womack said in a statement that he hadn't been speeding nor was he under the influence of anything when he was initially pulled over. His driver's license, insurance and registration were up to date. “When the first officer turned his lights on, I pulled over and complied ... exactly as you're supposed to. But when three additional vehicles pulled up quickly and started to surround my car, I freaked out. That's when I took off, it was a ‘fight or flight’ moment and I was going to live,” he said. “I felt like I was in danger. This was out in the country, late at night, and it was dark. So I ran for my life. That's what you see in the dashcam video. I'm running in an open field, and I'm scared.” The graphic video is at the crux of the federal civil rights case filed by attorney Michael Kuckelman against the deputy in U.S. District Court in Kansas. The lawsuit argues that Rodriguez used excessive force and was “callously indifferent” to Womack's civil rights. Womack had left the police department earlier in August with hopes of growing his own security business. He was on his way back home from a business trip to California when a Kansas Highway Patrol officer in western Kansas initiated a chase over “an alleged traffic violation,” according to the lawsuit. Sheriff's deputies from Pratt County and Kiowa County joined in the chase. The car chase eventually ended on a dirt road, and Womack took off on foot across a nearby farm field."

Always a mistake to run from the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Always.  They use it to justify murdering their victim.  How they get their cookies off.

"The dashcam footage from a Pratt County sheriff's deputy's vehicle shows Rodriguez using his patrol truck to catch up to Womack, who was unarmed. Rodriguez swerves his truck to hit Womack, knocking him to the ground and running over him. Womack rolls out from under the truck, his arms and legs flailing on the ground as someone on the video shouts, “lie down, lie down.” A deputy in the second patrol truck can be heard uttering an expletive as he watches what is happening. Womack alleges in his lawsuit that he sustained serious injuries to his back, pelvis and thigh as well as to his right knee, ankle and foot. “The dashcam video is disturbing,” Kuckelman said. “It is impossible to watch a video of a deputy driving his truck over Mr. Womack without feeling sick. There was nowhere for Mr. Womack to go. It was an open field, and he was trapped, yet the deputy drove his truck over him anyway.”

Jackbooted criminal nazi motherf--ker.

"Neither Kiowa County Sheriff Chris Tedder nor his attorney has responded to Associated Press requests for comment. No one has explained why Rodriguez chose to run Womack down. The deputy’s race is unclear. Kuckelman urged Tedder in person and in letters to fire Rodriguez, and the sheriff has refused. Rodriguez remains on patrol. Kuckelman also wants Rodriguez charged criminally and has accused the sheriff of engaging in a coverup of the deputy’s conduct."

Jackbooted criminal nazi motherf--ker.  No more, no less.  Worthless piece of human excrement.

"Four months later, Womack remains jailed on felony charges of attempting to elude a law enforcement officer by engaging in reckless driving and interference with a law enforcement officer. Court records show he is also charged with several misdemeanor traffic citations, including failure to drive in the right lane on a four-lane highway, improper signal and driving without headlights. Womack comes from a law enforcement family. His wife and his mother are police officers with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department. His stepfather retired from police work as a sergeant there. Two aunts are police dispatchers. Zee Womack watched the video of her husband being run over for the first time on Wednesday, replaying it four times as she struggled to understand why the deputy felt justified in using such force. Her husband is lucky to be alive, she said. “I am a police officer as well, and I feel like especially right now it is a really difficult time to be a police officer. We don't always get the support, I guess, that would be helpful in this occupation," she said shortly after watching the video. “And this makes it a lot more difficult to be an officer.” An officer who is capable of making decisions like that, she said, should not have a badge."

Goddamned, f--king right.  The son of a bitch deserves to remain in prison the rest of his life.

“To me it showed a blatant disregard for human life,” she said. Zee Womack filed a federal lawsuit last year alleging “rampant racism and sexism” in the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department. Lionel Womack said in his statement that most police officers are good and that he believes in the “blue brotherhood.” “But we have to hold law enforcement accountable when they cross the line,” he said “These rogue law enforcement officers give a bad name to the good officers, and we have to stop them. I never imagined that I would someday be the victim of excessive force by a fellow law enforcement officer. He could have easily killed me.”

Think you've heard it all?  You haven't.  CBS News reports:

"Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is apologizing for the disturbing police raid that saw 12 male police officers break into an innocent woman's home and handcuff her while she was naked. The real target of the raid lived next door and was wearing a police ankle monitor. City officials fought in court to keep the body camera footage of the incident from becoming public. CBS News station WBBM's Dave Savini broke the story, forcing Lightfoot to respond in a press conference Wednesday. "Miss Young, knowing that my words will not change what happened to you and your family almost two years ago, I nonetheless say I am sorry," Lightfoot had said. Anjanette Young, a 50-year-old social worker, was naked inside her home when a dozen armed police officers burst into the wrong apartment and handcuffed her. After the misunderstanding was cleared up, police were unable to fix her broken door, but instead used an ironing board to wedge it shut. They promised Young someone from the city would come fix it, but nobody came. The incident occurred three months before Lightfoot took office. She said Wednesday that she had only first heard about the video earlier in the week. However,  it was Lightfoot's law department that tried to not only stop CBS' Chicago station from showing the video, but also asked a federal judge to punish Young over the video's release. Lightfoot said she was not aware of those efforts, though she would have stopped them if she had been. "We are not, nor would we ever seek sanctions against Miss Young. She is a victim," she said. The city of Chicago had requested a federal court hearing set for December 22, seeking sanctions against Young.  Young said the mayor's public apology had been her only communication. "The fact that she has spent no effort that I know of to reach out to me or my team… that's more of a betrayal," she added.  Young also said she has not been told if any of the officers have been disciplined and the city has not admitted any wrongdoing."

Nothing ever changes.

"Audio captured during the raid appeared to show an officer admitting there had been a mistake. "It wasn't initially approved or some crap," one voice said. "What does that mean?" another responded. "I have no idea, I mean they told him it was approved then I guess that person messed up on their end," the first person replied. The Chicago Police Department refused to explain the audio recording, but Young said she needs accountability. The sergeant in charge of the raid did apologize to Young that night. However, the ankle monitor the real suspect next door was wearing should have alerted officers to his location, and records indicate he was home. "CBS This Morning" co-host Gayle King spoke to Young after the video of the raid was released. Asked what was getting her through the retelling of her experience, Young said it was the help of her best friend, her faith and her support group. While she was using her own skills as a social worker specializing in trauma to help herself cope, Young told King it has been difficult for her."

NBC News reports:

"Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who ran for office on a platform of police reform and racial justice, said Friday that the city's attempt to prevent a local TV station from airing police video of a botched raid was "a mistake." Her announcement came as the city formally withdrew a motion to prevent the CBS affiliate in Chicago from airing the video of police raiding the wrong home and handcuffing resident, Anjanette Young, who was naked. "The action sought against the CBS2 news station that was filed by the City’s Law Department was a mistake," Lightfoot said. The city also withdrew a motion for sanctions against Young's attorney, Keenan Saulter, who obtained the police body camera video of the botched raid through a federal court challenge. Lightfoot said she did not know about the video or the city's attempts to keep it under wraps. City attorneys had claimed that the apparent leak to the TV station, which aired the footage Thursday, violated the court order that had allowed Young to obtain it. The city was "very concerned that a violation of a court order had occurred," the lawyers said in their withdrawal. Lightfoot had said earlier this week that the February 2019 raid occurred before she was inaugurated and that the video, which she claimed to have seen for the first time Tuesday, was appalling."

Think not?  Wake up:

"A dozen officers armed with guns burst into Young's home as she was getting ready for bed and handcuffed her as she tried to use a comforter to cover her nude body. "You got the wrong house!" Young, 50, pleaded repeatedly. Police had been acting on a tip from a confidential informant about a suspect wanted for unlawful use of a handgun by a felon and possession of ammunition and a small amount of drugs. It turned out the suspect lived nearby and was already being electronically monitored by prison authorities. Young, who is Black, filed a lawsuit against a police department that has long faced allegations of racism. "To have my home invaded the way it was, and to have police officers for 40 minutes, yelling at me, telling me to calm down, while naked, putting handcuffs on me," Young said at a news conference Wednesday. "No one should have to experience that."

Goddamned right.  Jackbooted nazi motherf--kers.

"On Friday, Black clergy, including the Rev. Jesse Jackson, were scheduled to hold a news conference about the matter. The Rev. Marshall Hatch of Chicago's New Mount Pilgrim Church, released a statement demanding that the city council hold public hearings to hold the police department and its oversight panel accountable and to learn whether Lightfoot knew more about the case than she's letting on. "We’ve had enough cover ups in this city," he said, "it’s time for transparency." Lightfoot was elected by a city rocked by the fatal shooting of Black teenager Laquan McDonald in October 2014. The city resisted releasing dashboard-camera video of the killing, which made a lie of police claims the shooting was justified."

United Press International reports:

"The top attorney in Chicago has resigned as fallout continues to grow over a botched police raid on the home of a Black woman nearly two years ago and attempts to keep body camera footage of the incident from the public. In a statement reported by NBC Chicago, Corporation Counsel Mark Flessner announced he had offered Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot his resignation on Sunday, stating "it is clear that the raid on Anjanette Young's home was a tragedy that we must learn from." "Standing up for racial injustice and fighting for equality within our justice system are crucial matters that we must continue to work toward addressing as a community," he said. Lightfoot said in a statement Sunday that she has accepted his resignation. "I am committed to a full review of everything that occurred surrounding this incident, will take corrective action where appropriate and will hold people accountable," she said."

Certainly, hope so.

"In February 2019, police mistakenly raided Young's home, arresting the naked and crying woman whom police placed in handcuffs despite her repeated declarations that they were in the wrong apartment. Controversy over the incident erupted earlier this month after it came to light that the mayor's law enforcement had tried to prevent a local news station from airing the body camera footage of the raid. On Friday, Lightfoot, who has denied knowing about the law enforcement's move to bar the release of the body camera footage, said in a statement that it was "a mistake." The court had previously ruled against the Lightfoot administration who had petitioned the court to prevent the footage from being aired. "I have instructed them to formally withdraw our request to the court so that the record reflects this even though it was previously ruled upon," she said. In a press conference, she told reporters that she was "completely and totally appalled" by the raid. "Yes, I am mayor, but, absent that reality, I could have easily been Ms. Young, and I can put myself in her place," she said. "And I have been thinking since I saw that clip of the video, about having police officers break down my door, at night, while my child was at home, all of that is horrifying to me." She said the dignity that all deserve was taken from Young that night. "That is simply inexcusable," she said. Lightfoot said she became aware of the raid on Tuesday. The Chicago Police Department have since released 20 video clips of the Feb. 21, 2019, raid. In the footage, a crying handcuffed Young is told by officers that the raid was being conducted due to a person at the apartment with a firearm. Young can be heard telling the officers through tears that "they got the wrong place." "I don't own a gun," she said. "I don't even like guns. You got the wrong place, I promise you, you're not going to find a gun here, you are not going to find anything that suggests anybody live here but me."

In follow-up to a case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere, CBS News reports:

"Former Rochester, New York, Police Chief La'Ron Singletary has accused the city's mayor of pressuring him to lie about the series of events following the death of Daniel Prude and firing him after he refused. Prude, a Black man, died in March after Rochester police put a spit sock over his head and pressed his face into the ground for more than three minutes while he was naked and handcuffed, according to body camera footage and documents filed by his family. The circumstances surrounding Prude's death were not made public until September, when the family released the bodycam footage and supporting evidence. The six-month delay raised questions about why his death was not previously disclosed to the public."

Why do you think?

"In a press conference the next day and in multiple interviews thereafter, Mayor Lovely Warren claimed Singletary told her that Prude died of a PCP overdose, said she had not seen the video footage of his arrest until August, and argued that Singletary downplayed the circumstances surrounding Prude's death. "l have addressed with police Chief La'Ron Singletary how deeply disappointed I am in him personally and professionally for failing to fully and accurately inform me about what occurred to Mr. Prude," Warren said at the time. Singletary announced his resignation days later — but weeks before he was set to officially leave, he was fired. But in his notice of claim, a precursor to a lawsuit, Singletary claims that he was fired because he refused to lie to the City Council to support Warren's narrative that she had been misinformed about Prude's death. "On September 7, Mayor Warren asked me to withhold full and truthful information from the City Council investigation into the matter of Daniel Prude," Singletary wrote. "Mayor Warren asked me instead, to provide false information and to omit material information to support the Mayor's public narrative concerning her knowledge of the events in the matter of Daniel Prude."

Clearly, somebody's lying.

"Singletary said he was asked during that September 7 conversation to omit that he told Lovely in April that Prude's death was ruled a homicide, and that he had previously told her that officers had restrained Prude before his death. Singletary further claimed that when he announced his retirement on September 8, he sent "a clear indication to Mayor Warren that if I publicly commented or testified in the course of any investigation including the City Council's investigation concerning the matter of Daniel Prude that my truthful testimony would inevitably reveal the mayor's false public narrative." "For this reason and possibly others, I allege and believe I was terminated on September 14th," he added."

Think so?

"Singletary also claimed that Warren's narrative about the months following Prude's death has "damaged my reputation for honesty, integrity, and truthfulness." "The Mayor of the City of Rochester, and others acting on the Mayor's behalf, impugned my performance as Chief of Police of the City of Rochester by making false statements and material omissions about my performance and discharge of duties in the matter of the treatment of Daniel Prude in the custody of the Rochester Police, his subsequent death, the internal investigations conducted by the Rochester Police Department and my communication with Mayor Warren and other city officials," he said."

Think so?

"The city did not respond to CBS News' request for comment. The New York attorney general is still investigating Prude's death. A review from the city's Office of Public Integrity on Tuesday found that no city employees "violated city or departmental policies or ethical standards" in handling the case, according to CBS affiliate WROC-TV."

Nazi justice in a de facto fascist police-state.  The Associated Press reports:

"A judge has given Milwaukee’s ousted police chief his job back, just a day after the board that demoted him selected a new acting chief."

How about that?

"Judge Christopher Foley on Friday reversed the Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission’s August decision to demote Alfonso Morales, the Journal Sentinel reported. Commissioners had criticized how Morales handled multiple incidents involving Black people, including the arrest of Milwaukee Bucks player Sterling Brown. They were also critical of his decision to use tear gas and pepper spray against protesters who demonstrated after George Floyd’s May 25 death in Minneapolis. After his demotion, Morales retired, sued and requested a judicial review. Morales sought $625,000 in damages from the city. It’s unclear what happens next. Judge Foley reversed the commission’s decision to demote Morales to captain but did not give further instructions — something he said he could not do. “I acknowledge that from the City’s perspective there is great benefit in remand with directions,” Foley wrote. “Remand continues the status quo as of the conclusion of the Commission hearing with Mr. Morales demoted to captain and appealing that demotion. It avoids the potential, noted in media accounts, of ‘two chiefs.’ “But that is a potential dilemma of the Commission’s own making and wholly ignores the detrimental impact of the fundamentally flawed process on the interests of Mr. Morales,” Foley added. Morales’ attorney Franklyn Gimbel told the Journal Sentinel that Morales was “delighted with his victory” and that they would be “exploring carrying out the judge’s ruling.” Mayor Tom Barrett’s spokeswoman said his office was consulting with the city attorney. Meanwhile, the commission continues to search for a permanent police chief after deadlocking on two external candidates."

In follow-up to the Floyd case, The Associated Press reports:

"A judge upheld his decision to livestream the trial of four former Minneapolis police officers charged in the death of George Floyd. Judge Peter Cahill said in his order Friday that he would allow video coverage due to immense global interest in the case and limited courthouse space, the Star Tribune reported. Trial is scheduled for March. Cahill dismissed concerns by state prosecutors, who argued last month that recording audio and visuals of the trial would violate court rules and scare away potential witnesses. Attorney General Keith Ellison’s office, which is leading the prosecution, asked that Cahill rescind his previous ruling or consider narrowing the scope of outside access. Cahill declined to modify his original ruling, writing that although he had granted more extensive video coverage than allowed in court rules, he is permitted to modify the rules “in any case to prevent manifest injustice.” A coalition of media organizations, including The Associated Press, has requested camera access, arguing that cameras would increase transparency, especially during the pandemic. Floyd, a Black man in handcuffs, died May 25 after Derek Chauvin, who is white, pressed his knee against Floyd’s neck for several minutes even after Floyd said he couldn’t breathe. Chauvin faces second-degree unintentional murder and manslaughter charges. Lane, J. Kueng, Tou Thao and Thomas Lane are charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and manslaughter. All four officers were fired."

No justification for outrageous police brutality.  This time in Boston.  ABC News reports:

"Boston police and prosecutors are investigating after body camera footage surfaced that shows officers pushing protesters, pepper-spraying crowds and one officer talking about hitting protesters with a police vehicle. A sergeant has been placed on administrative leave after the leak this week of the footage captured during Boston demonstrations early June 1 after the killing of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis. The videos posted Friday by The Appeal, an online news outlet, show officers pushing nonviolent demonstrators to the ground, spraying pepper spray on people and into crowds, and one officer saying he may have hit people with a car. An attorney for the protesters has requested the video."

Fox guarding the chicken coop.  The following has zero credibility:

"Police Commissioner William Gross said in a statement that he ordered an investigation as soon as the videos were brought to his attention. “I have placed a Sergeant involved in this incident on administrative leave and I will take any additional action as necessary at the conclusion of the investigation,” Gross said. “I want to encourage people to bring these matters to our attention so that we can investigate them appropriately.”

These bastards are not qualified to investigate their own.

"Mayor Marty Walsh said in a statement that the footage is difficult to watch and that he hopes to get answers through the investigation."

Good luck.

More bullshit:

“We never want to see police officers using more force than necessary, even when tensions are high," he said."

The DA has no more credibility than the police:

"A spokesperson for Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins said she is also investigating."

Gets worse.  Get this:

"The head of Boston's largest police union accused the defense attorney who provided the videos to the news outlet of “stitching together several contextually deficient video snippets” to falsely portray police as “the real enemy in the city that night.” “The reality-altering effort and insult aside, the fact remains, the violence and hatred perpetrated against our officers and our City that night will forever be engrained in the minds and memories of our officers and their families because of the damage done by cop-hating anarchists and agitators who showed up to a peaceful protest armed for violence and looking for a fight,” Larry Calderone of the Boston Police Patrolmen's Association said in a statement."

Crock of shit.  Apparently, following the example of the congenital liar currently in the Oval Office.  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.  Apparently, these criminal jackbooted bastards in blue are too deaf to hear the rumble.

"Thousands marched peacefully through Boston in several protests May 31. But as the marches ended around 9 p.m., protesters and police clashed. People plundered stores, smashed windows, scrawled graffiti and set fire to a police cruiser. The National Guard was called in. Fifty-three people were arrested, about half of them city residents. Nine officers were also hospitalized after being pelted with rocks, glass bottles and even fireworks, he said. Dozens more officers and about 18 citizens were also treated for injuries, and 21 police cruisers were damaged."

While there is no justification for violence, what do these jackbooted bastards in blue expect when they engage in excessive force, and/or initiate the violence?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Blatant racism by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  ABC News reports:

"A Black father is condemning what he described as a "dehumanizing" experience he endured over the weekend when he was mistaken for a credit card fraud suspect by a white Virginia police sergeant, who handcuffed him in front of his fiancee and two children as they ate at a mall food court. In an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, Jamar Mackey characterized the incident at a Virginia Beach shopping mall as blatant racial profiling by police officers. "It's just like ... nothing has changed. How is everything still the same? How do you still racially profile a Black man with dreads that way in 2020? How do you do that? It's still happening in this day to Black men," said Mackey, sitting next to his fiancee, Shantel Covil, whose cellphone video of the police encounter has since gone viral on social media. The episode marked the latest in a string of incidents in which Black people have been arrested or had 911 complaints lodged against them for seemingly going about their normal lives, doing things like barbecuing in a park, playing golf and entering an apartment building where they live."

Here's what happened:

"Shantel Covil and her fiancee Jamar Mackey appear on ABC's "Good Morning America," Dec. 22, 2020, about Mackey being handcuffed while eating at a food court at a shopping mall on Dec. 19, 2020, in Virginia Beach, Va., after he was mistaken for a suspect in a credit card theft. Mackey's ordeal unfolded on Saturday as he, Covil and their 13-year-old son and baby were seated at a table in the Lynnhaven Mall food court eating lunch and "trying to enjoy the holidays." "And next, you know, I'm in handcuffs. No words, no explanation," Mackey said. In the video taken by Covil, a white Virginia Beach police sergeant is seen handcuffing Mackey as he sat at the table, saying, "I want to talk to you, OK?" and mentioning something about a suspect in a black truck. "Y'all got the wrong person. We don't even have a black truck," Covil is heard in the video telling the sergeant, who was not wearing a protective mask. The sergeant, according to the video, then told the visibly angry Mackey to stand up."

Jackbooted racist motherf--kers.

"You're going to do this in public, make me walk outside in front of my family?" Mackey told the sergeant, who proceeded to grab onto Mackey's arm and lead him through the crowded food court and out the front door, where they were met by other police officers, who were also not wearing masks. "Are you serious right now, dawg?" Mackey is heard yelling at the sergeant, while Covil asked him, "What are you doing? We are here with our family." Once outside, Mackey and Covil appealed to another white officer, telling him repeatedly that they have the wrong person. "Maybe you are the wrong person," the officer responded, telling Mackey to "calm down" and "relax." After getting on his radio, the sergeant told Mackey that he was indeed the wrong man but briefly kept Mackey in handcuffs while saying "give me one minute" to explain."

Jesus Christ.  Explain what?  That you're a racist piece of shit?

"Mackey demanded the handcuffs be removed immediately and the sergeant complied, telling Mackey that he matched the description of a credit card fraud suspect with dreadlocks and dressed all in black. “I sincerely apologize. It was a complete misunderstanding," the sergeant told Mackey, according to the video. As Mackey and Covil continued to protest the police action, the sergeant attempted to justify his response. “If he was using stolen credit cards and had a stolen vehicle then I wouldn’t have talked to him about it. I would have just taken him into custody and detained him," the sergeant says in the video. Mackey said on Tuesday that seeing the video again "hurts me." "What if he had shot me in front of my son or Tased me in front of my son, like for no reason?" Mackey said."

How many others have suffered the same at the hands of these criminal jackbooted bastards?  Not just Blacks.  All races, ethnicities.  These pieces of shit are out of control.

"Virginia Beach Police Chief Paul Neudigate issued a public apology to Mackey during a news conference on Monday. "No one wants to be handcuffed in front of their family like the officer did on Saturday," Neudigate said. "We have to be able to apologize when our actions greatly inconvenience a member of the community that we serve. So, let me take this opportunity to personally extend my apology to Mr. Mackey for this incident."

"Inconvenience?"  Jesus Christ.  Give me a break.  This Chief is not fit for office.  Head, figuratively, lodged up his clueless ass.

Gets worse.  Get this:

"He said a 28-year-old Black suspect with dreadlocks was subsequently arrested on suspicion of using stolen credit cards at the mall. The chief added, "We are also following up on the understanding that a possible third party may have identified Mr. Mackey as a potential suspect."

What "understanding?"

No transparency, just more bullshit:

"Neudigate did not release the names of the officers involved or say if they will face discipline. He said the officers were not equipped with body cameras. The chief said the investigation is focusing on whether the initial approach and stop of Mackey and the use of handcuffs on him were justified. The incident has prompted the group Black Lives Matter 757 to organize a protest scheduled for Tuesday evening outside the Virginia Beach Police Department. While Mackey has yet to take legal action against the police department, he has retained attorney Don Scott to explore any legal recourse. "Everybody in this region knows this is how you get treated. This is how Black males get treated in Virginia Beach," Scott said on "GMA." "So, this is what we hope to be able to change."

Sue the living shit out of every jackbooted motherf--ker in blue, the department, and city.

Things are not good.  The following is well beyond appalling.  It's unconscionable.  NBC News reports:

"A 2-year-old boy was abandoned outside a Goodwill in Southaven, Mississippi, with a plastic bag containing a change of clothes and a note, police said. A person connected to the case was arrested in Memphis, Tennessee on Monday afternoon, according to the Southaven Police Department, which declined to provide additional details. "At this time the investigation is still on going, no suspect information or charges are being released," the department said in a Facebook post. The child was found outside the Goodwill drop-off just before 10 a.m. on Monday, police said. He was unable to give officers his name or the names of his parents or family members, the department said in its post. Surveillance video captured a man, woman and a red vehicle they were driving when the boy was abandoned. The man was seen dropping the child off before walking away, police said. An employee at Goodwill told local station WREG that the man walked up to him and said that the child's mother could no longer care for him and then left, according to the outlet. A handwritten note on a paper towel read: "child abandoned... no phone number for mom." The boy was taken to the police station and Child Protective Services was contacted."

Details:

“Goodwill learned that a two-year-old child was left at a Goodwill attended donation center," the company said in a statement. "The child was accompanied by an adult who dropped the child off. The safety of the child is our top priority and we are very sorry to hear about the circumstances of this young child. Upon knowing the child’s circumstances, we immediately reported the situation to police. Our security leaders are working closely with local authorities, including reviewing surveillance footage. At this time, the matter is an ongoing investigation with the police.” Authorities were able to find one of the suspects involved after receiving numerous tips from the community. "We would like to thank all of the citizens who showed concern for the child, rest assured he is well, and being taken care of and will be reunited with family when CPS determines this is proper," police chief Macon Moore said in a statement. "We would also like to thank all of the citizens who offered tips regarding the suspects in this case," the chief added. "The cooperation from the community and a unified effort from law enforcement led to the speedy apprehension of suspects."

While this is indeed a law enforcement matter, the problem goes well beyond that.  Across the board as well as throughout our formerly great country, we've lost ourselves.  Our priorities are clearly not what they need to be.  What led to this particular abandonment had to have been known to family and others in the community well before the abandonment.  Could and should have been resolved before this two-year-old was dumped.

Think the U.S. Supreme Court has credibility?  NPR reports:

"The U.S. Supreme Court dodged a ruling on Friday on whether President Trump can exclude undocumented immigrants from a key census count. In the unsigned opinion, the court said it would be premature to rule on the case right now because it is "riddled with contingencies and speculation" and even the Trump administration doesn't know how many undocumented immigrants there are or where they live. "At the end of the day, the standing and ripeness inquiries both lead to the conclusion that judicial resolution of this" case is "premature," the justices wrote."

Jesus Christ.  What a crock of shit.

"In their dissent, the three liberal justices said that there is enough of a record in this case to say that the administration's plan is clearly illegal under federal law. That's because Census numbers used to determine each state's share of seats in the House of Representatives and votes in the Electoral College have always included both citizens and noncitizens, regardless of their immigration status. The decision leaves open the possibility for Trump to try to remove some undocumented immigrants from a key census count, but immigrant rights advocates warned Friday that they would sue. "If the Administration actually tries to implement this policy, we'll sue. Again. And we'll win," Dale Ho, director of the American Civil Liberties Union's voting rights project, said on Twitter. The Constitution requires that there be a count of the "whole number of persons" in the country every 10 years and that congressional seats be allocated based on that population count in each state. The Electoral College votes are identically apportioned."

Exactly, right.

"In July, Trump issued a memorandum ordering the Census Bureau to send him two sets of numbers. One set was to be the whole number of persons in each state. The second set would allow the number of undocumented immigrants in each state to be subtracted from those numbers for purposes for determining how many seats each state gets in the House of Representatives. Twenty-three states challenged Trump's directive in court, along with immigrant rights advocates and other groups. Lower courts blocked Trump's plan from going into effect, saying it violated the constitution, federal census statutes or both. The Trump administration appealed to the Supreme Court, arguing that the president has "virtually unfettered discretion" as to what data is used in the decennial census. But the lower courts rejected that claim, with both Republican- and Democratic-appointed judges ruling against him. Among the arguments made by the administration was the assertion that undocumented immigrants are not inhabitants as the Framers would have understood the term when writing the Constitution and deciding how to divide up federal power among the states. Countering that argument, states and immigrant groups noted that about two-thirds of unauthorized immigrants have lived in this country for at least 10 years, with the median being 15 years. The litigation added difficulty for an already-burdened Census Bureau, which geared up for the nationwide rollout of the census count just as the COVID-19 pandemic began hitting with full force in April. And the Census Bureau indicated this fall that it might not be able to meet the Dec. 31 deadline for reporting its figures."

Trump remains unfit for office.  The Associated Press reports:

"Contradicting his secretary of state and other top officials, President Donald Trump on Saturday suggested without evidence that China — not Russia — may be behind the cyberattack against the United States and tried to minimize its impact. In his first comments on the breach, Trump scoffed at the focus on the Kremlin and downplayed the intrusions, which the nation’s cybersecurity agency has warned posed a “grave” risk to government and private networks. “The Cyber Hack is far greater in the Fake News Media than in actuality. I have been fully briefed and everything is well under control,” Trump tweeted. He also claimed the media are “petrified” of “discussing the possibility that it may be China (it may!).”

'Presidential' crock of shit with no credibility.

"There is no evidence to suggest that is the case. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said late Friday that Russia was “pretty clearly” behind the cyberattack against the United States. “This was a very significant effort and I think it’s the case that now we can say pretty clearly that it was the Russians that engaged in this activity,” he said in the interview with radio talk show host Mark Levin. Officials at the White House had been prepared to put out a statement Friday afternoon that accused Russia of being “the main actor” in the hack, but were told at the last minute to stand down, according to one U.S. official familiar with the conversations who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss private deliberations. It is not clear whether Pompeo got that message before his interview, but officials are now scrambling to figure out how to square the disparate accounts. The White House did not immediately respond to questions about the statement or the basis of Trump’s claims."

What could it say?  How do you credibly respond to insanity?

"Throughout his presidency, Trump has refused to blame Russia for well-documented hostilities, including its interference in the 2016 election to help him get elected. He blamed his predecessor, Barack Obama, for Russia’s annexation of Crimea, has endorsed allowing Russia to return to the G-7 group of nations and has never taken the country to task for allegedly putting bounties on U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan."

Latter, alone, is treasonous.  Unbecoming a U.S. president.

"Pompeo in the interview said the government was still “unpacking” the cyberattack and some of it would likely remain classified. “But suffice it to say there was a significant effort to use a piece of third-party software to essentially embed code inside of U.S. government systems and it now appears systems of private companies and companies and governments across the world as well,” he said. Though Pompeo was the first Trump administration official to publicly blame Russia for the attacks, cybersecurity experts and other U.S. officials have been clear over the past week that the operation appears to be the work of Russia. There has been no credible suggestion that any other country — including China — is responsible. Democrats in Congress who have received classified briefings have also affirmed publicly that Russia, which in 2014 hacked the State Department and interfered through hacking in the 2016 presidential election, was behind it. It’s not clear exactly what the hackers were seeking, but experts say it could include nuclear secrets, blueprints for advanced weaponry, COVID-19 vaccine-related research and information for dossiers on government and industry leaders."

Frightening, isn't it?

"Russia has said it had “nothing to do” with the hacking. While Trump downplayed the impact of the hacks, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has said it compromised federal agencies as well as “critical infrastructure.” Homeland Security, the agency’s parent department, defines such infrastructure as any “vital” assets to the U.S. or its economy, a broad category that could include power plants and financial institutions. One U.S. official, speaking Thursday on condition of anonymity to discuss a matter that is under investigation, described the hack as severe and extremely damaging. “This is looking like it’s the worst hacking case in the history of America,” the official said. “They got into everything.”

How could that happen?  People asleep on the job?

"Trump had been silent on the attacks before Saturday. Deputy White House press secretary Brian Morgenstern on Friday declined to discuss the matter, but told reporters that national security adviser Robert O’Brien had sometimes been leading multiple daily meetings with the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and the intelligence agencies, looking for ways to mitigate the hack. “Rest assured we have the best and brightest working hard on it each and every single day,” he said."

Think so?

"The Democratic leaders of four House committees given classified briefings by the administration on the hack have complained that they “were left with more questions than answers.” “Administration officials were unwilling to share the full scope of the breach and identities of the victims,” they said. Pompeo, in the interview with Levin, said Russia was on the list of “folks that want to undermine our way of life, our republic, our basic democratic principles. ... You see the news of the day with respect to their efforts in the cyberspace. We’ve seen this for an awfully long time, using asymmetric capabilities to try and put themselves in a place where they can impose costs on the United States.” What makes this hacking campaign so extraordinary is its scale: 18,000 organizations were infected from March to June by malicious code that piggybacked on popular network-management software from an Austin, Texas, company called SolarWinds. It’s going to take months to kick elite hackers out of the U.S. government networks they have been quietly rifling through since as far back as March. Experts say there simply are not enough skilled threat-hunting teams to duly identify all the government and private-sector systems that may have been hacked. FireEye, the cybersecurity company that discovered the intrusion into U.S. agencies and was among the victims, has already tallied dozens of casualties. It’s racing to identify more. Many federal workers — and others in the private sector — must presume that unclassified networks are teeming with spies. Agencies will be more inclined to conduct sensitive government business on Signal, WhatsApp and other encrypted smartphone apps. If the hackers are indeed from Russia’s SVR foreign intelligence agency, as experts believe, their resistance may be tenacious. The only way to be sure a network is clean is “to burn it down to the ground and rebuild it,” said Bruce Schneier, a prominent security expert and Harvard fellow. Florida became the first state to acknowledge falling victim to a SolarWinds hack. Officials told The Associated Press that hackers apparently infiltrated the state’s health care administration agency and others. SolarWinds’ customers include most Fortune 500 companies, and its U.S. government clients are rich with generals and spymasters."

Barr stands up against his fuhrer, the Trump nazi.  The Associated Press reports:

"Attorney General William Barr used his final public appearance to undercut President Donald Trump on multiple fronts Monday, saying he saw no reason to appoint a special counsel to look into the president’s claims about the 2020 election or to name one for the tax investigation of President-elect Joe Biden’s son. In the course of breaking with Trump on matters that have been consuming the president, Barr also reinforced the belief of federal officials that Russia was behind a massive hack of U.S. government agencies, not China as Trump had suggested. Barr made the comments at a press conference to announce additional criminal charges in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, which killed 190 Americans, an issue he had worked on in his previous stint as attorney general in the early 1990s. He chose the announcement, in a case very personal and important to him, for his last public appearance, then took questions. Barr said the Justice Department’s existing investigation into Hunter Biden’s financial dealings was “being handled responsibly and professionally.” “I have not seen a reason to appoint a special counsel and I have no plan to do so before I leave,” he said. Nor for election fraud, he said."

Fascinating turn of events, isn't it?

"Barr had been in lockstep with the president during much of his tenure as Trump’s attorney general. But Trump, as he has done with many others in his inner circle, started criticizing Barr publicly. He was particularly angry that Barr didn’t announce the existence of a two-year-old investigation of Hunter Biden. And shortly before he announced his resignation, Barr told The Associated Press that he had seen no evidence of widespread voting fraud, despite Trump’s claims to the contrary. Trump has continued to push baseless claims even after the Electoral College made Biden’s victory formal Dec. 14. A special counsel would make it more difficult for the incoming attorney general and president to close investigations begun under Trump. Doing so could lend a false legitimacy to baseless claims, particularly to the throngs of Trump supporters who believe the election was stolen because he keeps wrongly claiming it was. Barr’s statements Monday may make it easier for the acting attorney general who takes over, Jeffrey Rosen, to resist pressure from the White House to make such appointments. In his 2019 confirmation hearing for deputy attorney general, Rosen said he was willing to rebuff political pressure from the White House if necessary. He told legislators that criminal investigations should “proceed on the facts and the law” and prosecutions should be “free of improper political influences.” “If the appropriate answer is to say no to somebody, then I will say no,” he said at the time."

Hopefully, that will remain so.

"Trump and his allies have filed roughly 50 lawsuits challenging election results and nearly all have been dismissed or dropped. He’s also lost twice at the U.S. Supreme Court. With no further tenable legal recourse, Trump has been fuming and peppering allies for options as he refuses to accept his loss."

This is one insane puppy just like his fuhrer:

"Among those allies is Rudy Giuliani, who during a meeting Friday pushed Trump to seize voting machines in his hunt for evidence of fraud. The Homeland Security Department made clear, however, that it had no authority to do so. It is also unclear what that would accomplish."

Shit squat.

"For his part, Barr said he saw no reason to seize them. Earlier this month, Barr also told the AP that the Justice Department and Homeland Security had looked into the claims “that machines were programmed essentially to skew the election results” and ultimately concluded that “so far, we haven’t seen anything to substantiate that.” Trump has consulted on special counsels with White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, White House counsel Pat Cipollone and outside allies, according to several Trump administration officials and Republicans close to the White House who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized discuss the matter publicly. Trump was interested both in a counsel to investigate the younger Biden’s tax dealings and a second to look into election fraud. He even floated the idea of naming attorney Sidney Powell as the counsel — though Powell was booted from Trump’s legal team after she made a series of increasingly wild conspiratorial claims about the election. Federal law requires that an attorney general appoint any special counsels. Barr also said Monday the hack of U.S. government agencies “certainly appears to be the Russians.” In implicating the Russians, Barr was siding with the widely held belief within the U.S. government and the cybersecurity community that Russian hackers were responsible for breaches at multiple government agencies, including the Treasury and Commerce departments. Hours after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a radio interview that Russia was “pretty clearly” behind the hacks, Trump sought to undercut that message and play down the severity of the attack. He tweeted that the “Cyber Hack is far greater in the Fake News Media than in actuality.” He also said China could be responsible even though no credible evidence has emerged to suggest anyone other than Russia might be to blame."

Think we haven't lost ourselves?  The Washington Post reports:

"In the largest cheating scandal to rock the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in nearly 45 years, 73 cadets were accused of breaking the school’s honor code by cheating during a calculus final in May that was conducted remotely amid the pandemic, officials revealed Monday. “The Honors process is working as expected and there have been no exceptions to policy for any of these cases,” Lt. Col. Christopher Ophardt, an academy spokesman, told The Washington Post in a statement. “Cadets are being held accountable for breaking the code.” The allegations that dozens of students cheated on an exam, which were first reported by USA Today, raised concerns Monday over integrity and national security at the Army’s premier training ground for officers. The school asked students not to return from spring break and turned to remote learning in late March as the coronavirus spread across the United States. Online classes continued until the end of the 2019-2020 academic year, but cadets returned to campus in the fall for a mix of in-person, hybrid and remote classes. Professors uncovered the alleged cheating scheme while grading the final exams, finding irregularities in the mathematical work submitted by the accused students, officials said. Among the 73 students accused of cheating, four cadets resigned from the academy before the investigation concluded, and 55 admitted to cheating and were found in violation of the school’s honor code, officials confirmed to The Post. Two cases were dropped for lack of evidence and the remaining 12 students will have hearings by the Cadet Advisory Board or the Honor Investigative Hearing, officials said. All but one of the accused cadets were first-year students at the academy in May, officials said. Despite the allegations, Ophardt said the pandemic is not jeopardizing the integrity of the school’s academic program and an honor code that says cadets “will not lie, cheat, or steal, or tolerate those who do.” “West Point honor code and character development program remains strong despite remote learning and the challenges brought by the pandemic,” Ophardt said."

The cheating scandal screams otherwise.

"With more than six dozen alleged incidents, the cheating scandal is the largest since 1976, when more than 150 students were accused of conspiring to cheat on a take-home electrical engineering exam. The new allegations troubled some faculty members and lawmakers, who noted the importance of integrity among the students at West Point, who commission as officers in the U.S. Army after graduation. “To see that 73 West Point cadets conspired to cheat, apparently taking advantage of the fact that exams are being conducted remotely, is deeply troubling,” Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.), who chairs the House Armed Services subcommittee on military personnel, told The Post in a statement. “Our West Point cadets are the cream of the crop and are expected to demonstrate unimpeachable character and integrity.” The military academy should “ensure that these cadets are worthy of the prestige and honor bestowed upon those chosen to serve in the academy and destined to lead our military and country,” Speier added."

That's right.  No question.

"A law professor at West Point also spoke out Monday about the implications of allowing students who are willing to cheat to become leaders in the military, where lapses in integrity can have life-or-death consequences. “When the military tries to downplay effects of cheating at the academy, we’re really downplaying the effects on the military as a whole,” professor Tim Bakken told USA Today. “We rely on the military to tell us honestly when we should fight wars, and when we can win them.”

That's right.  Again, no question.  Precisely, why honesty is critical.

Here's the problem:

"The students who admitted to cheating last year will be enrolled in a rehabilitation program focused on the honor code and will be assigned faculty members to coach them through the training, officials said. “While disappointing, the Honor System is working, and these 67 remaining cases will be held accountable for their actions,” Ophardt said."

Will they?  In the past, those involved in cheating were expelled.

Think Paxton has finally met his match?  The Associated Press reports:

"Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has spent years dodging legal and public relations blows that might have knocked others out of politics. The Republican has so far proven too wily for political opponents and prosecutors, winning reelection and rising to national prominence as a conservative crusader even while under felony indictment. But criminal allegations from Paxton’s top deputies have set him up to square off against a formidable new opponent: A federal prosecutor with a team of seasoned FBI agents and a track record of getting corrupt public officials sent to prison. Paxton has not been charged with a crime in the months since eight senior officials in the attorney general’s office reported him to the FBI for bribery, abuse of office and other offenses allegedly committed in helping a wealthy donor trying to fend off his own federal investigation. Federal investigators are digging into the attorney general’s actions and connections to Nate Paul, an Austin real estate developer who employs a woman with whom Paxton is said to have had an extramarital affair. Overseeing the effort is San Antonio-based Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Blackwell, according to a person familiar with the probe who insisted on anonymity because the investigation is ongoing. Paxton has denied any wrongdoing. His unsuccessful recent lawsuit trying to overturn the presidential election has raised questions about whether he’s seeking protection from a powerful ally — President Donald Trump. The U.S. attorney’s office in West Texas declined to comment or make Blackwell available for an interview. Federal prosecutors and the FBI generally do not confirm ongoing investigations. Blackwell, who coordinates public integrity cases across a region stretching more than 500 miles (800 kilometers) to El Paso, is a hard-charging but fair prosecutor, according to former colleagues and opposing lawyers alike. He has a knack for boiling down the complex facts of white-collar investigations, a down-to-earth demeanor and slight Louisiana accent that endears him to juries. “He’s probably the best trial attorney I’ve ever seen,” said Sean O’Connell, a Virginia lawyer who worked with Blackwell as a federal prosecutor in Texas. Blackwell, 45, earned his law degree from Louisiana State University in 2000. Before joining the U.S. attorney’s office, he worked as a military prosecutor and in private practice, former colleagues said. Blackwell handled a variety of immigration, narcotics, financial crime and other cases in El Paso before moving to San Antonio, where he began prosecuting more complex white-collar cases. His most high-profile case was the 2018 money laundering and fraud trial of former state Sen. Carlos Uresti. Erica Benites Giese, who was a senior federal prosecutor in San Antonio during the trial, said Blackwell made a “very impassioned” argument that Uresti deserved a prison sentence, and a judge gave the longtime Democratic lawmaker 12 years. But Blackwell is not the type of prosecutor “who just wants heads on his wall,” she said “No politics plays into his analysis whatsoever,” said Benites Giese, who is now in private practice."

If all the above is true, precisely what one wants in a prosecutor.

"Politics has, however, been part of Paxton’s defense strategy. The attorney general has long used political connections and legal maneuvers to stall the prosecution of his state securities fraud case. Five years after Paxton pleaded not guilty it remains unclear where or when he’ll face trial."

Clearly, unacceptable in what is supposed to be a democratic republic, not a goddamned de facto fascist police-state.

"More recently, Paxton’s failed effort to have the U.S. Supreme Court throw out Joe Biden’s win in the presidential election prompted speculation that the attorney general is angling for a preemptive pardon in the waning weeks of Trump’s administration. Paxton’s defense attorney, Philip Hilder, declined to comment."

Certainly, appears to be the case.  We'll see.

"A broad pardon would foreclose federal prosecution. But it would not necessarily end the investigation into Paxton, according David Crump, a professor at the University of Houston Law Center. He said it’s possible the FBI could hand off its findings to state prosecutors. People who know Blackwell said he’s unlikely to be scared away or put off a case if the government decides to bring one. And he’s more than capable of legal hardball. During Uresti’s trial, Blackwell successfully got the judge to remove the senator’s lawyer, Mikal Watts, for conflict of interest. Watts said he still disagrees with the decision and Uresti’s eventual sentence, but that as aggressive as Blackwell might be, he is also ethical. “He will try the case heads up and let the jury decide,” said Watts. “Joe is a guy I would trust my wife with on a weekend away.”

Think all is on the up and up at Google?  NPR reports:

"When Google unceremoniously ousted Black researcher Timnit Gebru, she felt targeted. "My theory is that they had wanted me out for a while because I spoke up a lot about issues related to black people, women, and marginalization," Gebru said in an interview on NPR's Morning Edition. At Google, Gebru was the co-lead of the company's Ethical Artificial Intelligence team, where she was able to parlay her passion for highlighting the societal effects of AI into academic papers that could shape Google's largest products, like search. Gebru co-founded Black in AI, a group formed to encourage people of color to pursue careers in artificial intelligence research. For Google, bringing on Gebru lent credibility to the tech giant's efforts in examining how technology can exacerbate systemic bias and discrimination. Yet she says Google's support for Gebru only went so far. "They wanted to have my presence, but not me exactly. They wanted to have the idea of me being at Google, but not the reality of me being at Google," Gebru said. On Wednesday, several of her former colleagues wrote a letter to Google CEO Sundar Pichai asking that Gebru be reinstated, saying her departure has "had a demoralizing effect on the whole of our team." The researchers also asked that they not be subject to retaliation for supporting Gebru. That fear is not unfounded. Google has a history of demoting and firing dissenting employees. In 2018, tens of thousands of employees walked off the job to protest how Google handled sexual harassment cases, among other issues. Organizers say the company pushed them out. More recently, the National Labor Relations Board accused Google of breaking the law by sacking employees who tried to unionize."

Here's the disingenuous, patronizing, condescending problem:

"Google built this whole company up on the idea that we'll give you free food and a free coffee and pay you well and give you comfortable bean bags to work on as long as you toe the company line," said William Fitzgerald, who spent a decade at Google working on communications. Google's official company policy is: "if you see something that you think isn't right – speak up!" What the policy does not state, according to Fitzgerald, is that speaking up can also mean being shown the door. "Anyone who continues to challenge their power will get squashed or pushed out, and this is something that's been happening at Google for years now and we're only now hearing about it," he said. Inside Google, women of color and other underrepresented groups who looked up to Gebru have been especially shaken, said former Google employee Ifeoma Ozoma. "There are serious concerns around her identity as a Black woman and the concerns she raised around diversity as being the main driver for both the firing and the way it was done and the speed," Ozoma said. Google CEO Pichai wrote to staff that he is aware the episode has "seeded doubts and led some in our community to question their place at Google." He apologized for that. And committed to fix it."

Think so?

"Google declined to be interviewed for this story. It points to emails in which executives say they vigorously support free thinking and independent research. But now even that is up for debate. Before she left Google, the company abruptly asked Gebru to retract a research paper critical of Google's technology. Linguist Emily Bender at the University of Washington, who was one of her co-authors, said she feels for researchers inside Google right now. "I can't imagine that it wouldn't have a chilling effect on people who are working there trying to work on this but now looking over their shoulder wondering, 'When is something all of a sudden going to be retracted?' and their work going to be basically taken away from them?" Bender said. After Google demanded that Gebru retract the paper for not meeting the company's bar for publication, Gebru asked that the process be explained to her, including a list of everyone who was part of the decision. If Google refused, Gebru said she would talk to her manager about "a last date." Google took that to mean Gebru offered to resign, and Google leadership say they accepted, but Gebru herself said no such offer was ever extended, only threatened. Gebru learned that Google had let her go while she was on a vacation road trip across the country. Former Googler Leslie Miley said he does not believe Google would have handled it the same way if Gebru were a white man. "You fired a Black woman over her private email while she was on vacation," Miley said. "This is how tech treats Black women and other underrepresented people." At Google, Gebru's former team laid out in their letter to Pichai what is needed: "swift and structural changes if this work is to continue, and if the legitimacy of the field as a whole is to persevere."

More on the latest pardons by the Trump nazi in the next edition of this publication.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor?  Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
