Getting online has gotten increasingly difficult and expensive last four months.  Worse, access is outside since most establishments are closed or limited to drive-thru operations.  Lap tops are not designed to be used in such an environment.  Extremely difficult to see the screen.  Time for the readership to step up and provide assistance.  TC 7-24-20

In response to the pandemic, government quickly imposed draconian restrictions making access to public wifi exceptionally difficult.  Consequently, editions of this publication will be briefer and posted as regularly as possible until circumstances change.  TC 3-20-20

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

No matter what, no matter where, this publication will remain up and running.  For it to remain centered here, however, financial and/or material support must be provided.  Status quo, unsustainable.  Time to step up.  Now.

Brother dearest.  ... Been awhile, hasn't it, Bro?  A little antsy?  Wondering when the next shoe is about to fall, that is, when you'll be fully exposed for the thieving son of a bitch you truly are?  Patience.  All in good time, good buddy.  When I'm damned good and ready.  Timing just right.  After all, a son of a bitch who's stolen his father's estate needs to be fully exposed publicly for whom and what he is, don't you think?  Indeed, a public service for your neighbors, professional associates, family, and friends, etc..

Conveniently, forget?  Others need to protect themselves against a fraud who masquerades as both a teacher and a counselor, no?  -- How the hell did you ever pass an MMPI some forty years ago to get hired?  You're not stable.  Have not been.  ... Must have really been pissed off at the old man to rip off an estate, no?  How much did you steal while he was alive and supposedly under your care?

How much did you bribe law enforcement to ignore a complaint I filed with them years before the old man died?  How much did you bribe the prosecutor to ignore a complaint filed with her several years ago?  How much?  Use the old man's money to bribe the bitch?  Her cohorts?  Your law enforcement shysters?  While there may indeed be no justice from a corrupt system, fortunately, I do have a way to publicly expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.

... Unlike our grandmother who scrubbed floors on her hands and knees during the Depression for peanuts, only to have what little she had stolen by her son, our uncle, another goddamned thieving son of a bitch just like you.  Remember how, surprise, surprise, there was no life insurance when our grandfather died?  Despite the fact our grandmother gave her thieving bastard son premium money year after goddamned year?  Only, as the thieving son of a bitch he truly was, to have pocketed it.  Again, just like you.

Remember when he booted her out of the house she had bought him when he had had enough of her?  -- Despite the fact he had lied and promised she could stay the rest of her life?  She had to climb two flights of stairs on an ulcerated leg to get to a bathroom he had never built for her at ground level as falsely promised.   Nothing ever happened to the thieving son of a bitch as far as justice was concerned.  Worse, he was never exposed publicly for the thieving son of a bitch he truly was.

Will be different for you, Bro.  While you've bought off authorities, you will be publicly exposed.  In great detail.  In good time.  When I'm damned good and ready.  When exposure will do the maximum figurative damage to your goddamned sordid reputation.  -- Just the truth, brother dearest, however.  Just the truth.

Irony of ironies?  When the thieving son of a bitch died, and our mother was finally informed he had passed, she cried for her brother, -- the bastard thief who stole from her mother.  Sad, isn't it?  Too bad she's not still alive to see you publicly exposed for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you, yourself, truly are.  As was he.  Not in a court of law you've bought off, however.  Right here.

In good time.  Again, when I'm damned good and ready.  Employing the very same tactics used against Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo.  -- On steroids, however, since all dirty family laundry will be aired.  All of it.  No threat.  A promise.  Emails sent to your neighbors, friends, professional associates, businesses you deal with.  Although an enormous amount of work, all doable courtesy of the Internet.  Despite being some 1,800 miles away.  -- Small world, isn't it, Bro?  Enjoy the stolen loot, you son of a bitch.  Forget?  It's all you have.

Brother dearest.  Save all the check stubs from the old man's accounts?  Fraudulently sign any of them yourself?  Think this material couldn't be obtained from the banks either through discovery or a criminal investigation?  Still own the house on Condict Rd.?   Any other properties besides this one and the old man's you stole with the help of your shyster bastard? Be interesting to see how far your assets extend and where.  Think all that information isn't accessible?  That I won't determinedly obtain it?

That not only an extensive Internet search will be conducted that will likely take months to complete?  But an extensive background check as well?  Think the Catholic high school you attended shouldn't be informed of the thievery of one of its graduates?  Think the clerics there would be appalled at their failure to teach you right from wrong?  How about both universities?  Think neighbors in the old man's neighborhood won't be informed of your deception?  Think they don't have a right to know?

Ever follow the advice of Dr. Bert Wiser, psychological statistics professor at MSU?  That is, get treatment for your achingly debilitating instability?  Is that why you wound up looting the old man?  Or, is it simply a convenient excuse you'll use to defend the indefensible?  Think this will end any time soon?  That is, public exposure of you as a thieving son of a bitch?  We're just getting started, Bro.  Just getting started.

Don't like it?  Tough shit.  Sue me you thieving son of a bitch.  Would use discovery to learn and post on this website all there is to know about you, your activities, predilections, business 'deals,' as well as all your financial transactions, etc..  All of it.  Would certainly avoid the expense of an extensive background check on you, thieving brother dearest.

Even if you were successful in court, there is nothing for you to take, this remains, as well, a homesteading state where minimal assets are protected anyway.  This site is hosted in an overseas country that doesn't particularly like government intrusion, remains not prone to cooperate.  Besides, can always upload to another webhost in still yet another country.  The possibilities are endless, Bro.  Just takes willingness, effort, unshakable determination.

Even if I lost it all would be more than worth it to expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.  Even if you bribed a goddamned nazi 'judge' to remove posted material, would not cooperate and be more than willing to rot in jail.  Would certainly keep reposting it all no matter the cost and/or personal consequences every time it was taken down.  Forget, you thieving son of a bitch?  I never ever give up.

Since all I seek is your exposure for the thief you truly are, would all be worth it.  For the sake of principle.  All the work, financial cost, as well as the time I am about to dedicate to this effort, you deceptive, unstable, sick, thieving son of a bitch.  Unlike you, I live on principle and have absolutely nothing to lose.  You do.  Will certainly take great pleasure and satisfaction in doing all I can to publicly expose you for whom and what you are.

To say nothing of placing enormous pressure on prosecutors you and your equally corrupt shyster son of a bitch apparently bribed.  Don't like it?  Again, tough shit. Chew harder.  The public needs to know to protect itself.  From you and your shyster bastard.  People who live and travel in your circles as well.  Including his.  As a thief, you and he can't be trusted by anyone.  You'll determinedly f--k them.

More than willing to provide this truly public service.  People certainly need to know whom and what you are.  What you have sadly become.  You certainly weren't brought up to be a thieving son of a bitch.  What happened?  Where did you lose yourself, Bro?  -- Never mind.  ... Truly doesn't matter.  Only your exposure.

TC 4-22-16

Hey, Bro?  Remember me?  How soon they conveniently forget.  ... Half asleep? -- Out to lunch?  ... In your own perverse little world?  That of a criminal?  Wake up.  Conveniently, gutlessly forget?  Insanely believe you're someway, somehow off the hook?  Think again.  We're not done.  You remain a thief who will be exposed for whom and what your are.  What you certainly have become.  No question about that.  Patience, you thieving son of a bitch.  Exposure is coming.  Promise.

Think I don't have time?  Truly believe the ongoing Presidential fiasco ends no matter who wins?  The murderous decay in law enforcement gets resolved any time soon?  Criminal Wells Fargo employees from local Kingsland bank manager Amanda S. Wright right up to and including CEO John Stumpf get prosecuted in the near future despite egregious criminal activity?  Wouldn't hold my breath, would you?

Think I don't have time to handle all this and your public exposure for the estate-stealing criminal son of a bitch you've truly become?  How could you steal from the old bastard, you incredibly sad sack of shit?  Certainly weren't brought up to be a thief.  What happened to you?  Where'd you lose yourself?

No question, 2017 will be a most remarkable, defining year for you, Bro.  Public exposure for the thieving piece of shit you've sadly become.  It's on the way. Promise.  Hope you sue.  Nothing for you to take.  Tough, isn't it?  Certainly, makes me judgment proof.  Will certainly, as well, take advantage of discovery.  Publish every detail I can get my hands on.  No matter the consequences.  Only consideration?  Prime directive?  Your exposure for whom and what you are.

Readers?  This not-so-brotherly piece of shit stole from our father.  Manipulated the old man to line his pockets.  Just like our uncle on my mother's side of the family did to my grandmother.  Runs in the family.  Our family.   ... Right, Bro?  This game now gets played my way, -- not yours, you son of a bitch.  That is, no more U.S. Mail tag.

Anything sent by mail will be refused, returned unopened.  Want contact?  Email.  libertyinperil@riseup.net.  Quick.  Easy.  Better yet?  A digital record.  Permanent.  Easily accessible.  Easily uploaded to this site when and if it becomes necessary.  The shyster bastard you hired to steal the estate shouldn't expect escape, either, from public exposure as the thieving piece of shit he, like you, truly both are.  Unscrupulous thieves.

Sincerely hope that piece of crap sues as well.  Nothing to take.  Discovery again would be published no matter the personal cost.  Nothing quite like public exposure, is there?  Especially, when it is nothing but the truth and there is absolutely nothing to lose exposing two pieces of criminal shit for whom and what they are.  Two pieces of gutless human excrement who looted an old man.  ... Right, Bro?

There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers.  Glaring sunlight.  Dazzling brilliance.  Amazing how the roaches run for cover.  Equally pointedly, how vermin on two legs manage to so easily prey on the elderly courtesy of the out of control fascist police-state we now live in.  While there'll never be any justice vis a vis this theft, there will be exposure to the brilliant light of day for both criminal perpetrators.  Count on it, you not-so-brotherly criminal son of a bitch.

TC 10-7-16

Hey, Bro?  Hear of Old Sturbridge Village?  Haven't?  ... Not lying, are you, you thieving son of a bitch?  You and your long-term companion EC conspire, bequeath some of the old man's loot to this museum?  An achingly stingy gift of $250-$499, -- considering the size of the estate?  The CEO and Board have any idea you stole it?  Think they'd care?  -- Just getting started, dearest, dearest Bro.  ... Delusionally believe I haven't more than enough time, resources, determination to expose you for the thieving piece of crap you truly are?  ... Under $500 back in 2013?  Remarkably parsimonious with stolen money aren't you?   What does it feel like to have gutlessly ripped off an incompetent old man?  -- Dear old Dad.  Certainly, look forward to digging much deeper into how you and your shyster lawyer managed to bamboozle and loot the old bastard.  Back in the day, certainly wouldn't have fallen for your bullshit.  Would have kicked your worthless, thieving ass out the door.  Intend to expose it to the light of day.  Indeed, a public service. Seatbelts on, you thieving son of a bitch. Tally ho!

TC 3-24-17

... Brief aside, dear readers, for a most exceptional reason.  -- Although infrequent, pressing ongoing personal business must come first on rare occasion.  Hope you agree, moreover, find it entertaining, -- as this writer did crafting what follows.  Principle trumps all.  Remains prime mover, prime directive no matter what.

This pressing issue involves a family thief. A heartless predator preying on the elderly who must be held accountable, exposed to the light of day.  Especially, since authorities failed to do their job.  The following is part of that continuing effort to expose this piece of shit for whom and what he is:

Hey, Bro?  Guess what?  Me, again.  Most determined pain in the ass.  Miss me?  An inconvenient, nagging hemorrhoid that simply won't go away no matter what.  -- A pile with a smile that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

... Delusionally think this most persistent nemesis of yours conveniently disappeared to parts unknown, vanished in thin air? To give a turd a break?  Wake up.  Not a chance, you thieving son of a bitch.  ... When you insanely believe this writer's gone and you're finally in the clear, guess what, here I am, right in your face.

Despite what's going on across our formerly great country, always have more than enough time for personal business.  That is, exposing you, Bro, to the glaring light of day.  A pathetically greedy predator.  Your target, who else, the elderly.  Most defenseless, vulnerable, an easy fleece.  -- Thought you'd steal from the surly old curmudgeon with impunity, no consequences?

Successfully escape accountability? Avoid detection, all responsibility?  Blatant theft of an old man's estate?  A little help from a bought and paid for hopelessly greedy unprincipled shyster?  Supposed cake walk due to 1800 miles separation?  No one to hold you accountable?  Your feet to the fire?  What could you possibly been thinking?

You've read this publication before.  Know precisely who and what I am, what I do.  Never give up.  Never say die.  Ignore all obstacles.  Know full well Liberty In Peril modus operandi remains as relentlessly ferocious, blindingly intense as ever.

No punches pulled.  No slack.  No personal consideration.  Certainly, not for a gutless son of a bitch, no more than a thieving predator.  Looted target, guess who, dear old dad.  Pitiful.  Delusionally believe you had the booty coming?  An entitlement?  For having had to put up with his shit all those years?  Wake up.

Hear of Historic Deerfield?  Of course, you have, you lying son of a bitch.  Forget?  You're one of their not-so-generous 'benefactors.'  ... With all the money stolen from our father's estate, only bequeath them a piss poor $40 bucks?

Unbelievable.  An achingly tight, cheap, thieving, worthless piece of duplicitous crap.  ... Write-off?  Negligible.  ... Feather in the cap? How?  Delusionally believe your treachery would never see the light of day? What planet do you live on?

Board of Trustees Chair Anne K. Groves know full well you looted the estate?  How about President Philip Zea?  Think both don't have a right to know?  How about Anne Lanning, Vice President For Museum Affairs?  To say nothing of Susan Martinelli, Vice President For Business Affairs?

These officials are entitled to know precisely whom they're doing business with.  A thief.  Gutless phony.  Blow-hard fraud.  Hoity-toity dandy.  Worse?  An unprincipled thief who stole from his father.  ... Glaring light of day sucks, doesn't it, Bro?  No escaping the unvarnished truth, this most bitter reality.  Not a chance.

Saddest of all?  Back in the day, Hell would have frozen over before anyone would have have been able to rip off the craggy old bastard.  Remember quite well how intent, determined he was not to be fleeced late in life by a sick son of a bitch like you.

A leech.  Ironic, isn't it?  Gutless rip off of an old man who couldn't adequately handle his affairs any longer.  How do you sleep nights?

Fraud runs in the family, clearly.  History repeating itself.  Right in the footsteps of our grandmother's son, who callously ripped off his mother decades ago.  Again, another achingly pathetic piece of human excrement.  Just like you.  Intend to lay it bare.  Methodically.  Painstakingly. In great detail.  Living, breathing color.

For all to see.  A public service.  Exposure of the criminal piece of human excrement you truly are.  For sustained public review.  A goddamned thief.  Pissed? Chagrined?  Nonplused?  Tough shit.  Sue.  Would certainly immediately post all discovery no matter the consequences.

All snail mail will be returned unopened.  No phone tag.  Got something to say? Email.  Say it right here.  On this website.  In public.  For the world to see.  Will be posted in its entirety.  No editing.  Unlike you, this writer doesn't lie, cheat, steal.  Honors his word.  Intend to expose you precisely for whom and what you are.

Duplicitous predator who preyed on his own father.  Blinding exposure to benefit the community.  Have nothing to lose providing this public service, but you do.  No better disinfectant than sunshine.

.. Think the old bastard not spinning in his grave?  -- Old lady not doing the same?  One thing for certain.  Neither brought you up to be a goddamned thief.  Yet, here we are.  ... Until next time, Tally Ho!

5-25-18

... Hey, Sheriff? Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Tim Chorney, Publisher
Liberty In Peril

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "No justice.  Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court that would adjudicate only these cases.  Total independence.  The only way to rein in these criminals, particularly the murderers in blue.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--kers, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.  Not sent home without pay to catch up on his beauty sleep.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Again, time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Two hundred thirty-two weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do? Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised? Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff? Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up. Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public? That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Two hundred thirty-two weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Two hundred thirty-two weeks.   Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be yours courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  That has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you boys not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded.  An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Llano County DA "Sonny Boy" is in the news.  Received an award.  The DailyTrib reports:

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission recognized District Attorney Wiley “Sonny” McAfee on August 22 for his efforts in prosecuting natural and cultural resource violations as well as environmental crimes. The commission named the 33rd and 424th district attorney the 2019 Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Prosecutor of the Year. McAfee serves Burnet, Llano, Blanco, and San Saba counties. Elected in November 2012 and taking office on January 1, 2013, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile cases involving Texas game wardens and Texas State Park police officers."

The District Attorney has ignored a complaint filed earlier by this publication regarding special treatment accorded Texas oil man Johnny Greene by the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff vis a vis a property dispute involving a local banker, three other local property owners with homes encroaching on land they don't own, one of which is on an unused Llano County road.  To say nothing of damage to a Pace Arrow motorhome on that property.  All a result of egregious abuse of authority by Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764.  The circumstances of this fiasco can be found above in each and every edition of this publication since this happened two and a half years ago.  The Sheriff, the County Attorney, and the District Attorney have all determinedly, concertedly ignored this ongoing, unresolved fiasco raising one ferociously pointed question.  How much were they bribed?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

7-3-20

Last three months been getting online at the Kingsland HEB.  Met quite a few readers at the picnic table.  -- People I didn't personally know, but who came up and introduced themselves.  Certainly, grateful for your concern, caring, and moral support.  One of the Front End managers, Kevin, had granted permission to plug in and access HEB Customer wifi at the picnic table some three months ago.  Someone in County government must have subsequently complained. Three months after the fact.  LOL.  Finally got the boot 6-27-20 from the achingly gutless Store Manager who couldn't, or wouldn't stand up to pressure from this asshole.

Pathetic, isn't it?  LOL.  Certainly, knew it was coming.  Hard to believe it took three months.  LOL.  Apparently, the gutless Store Manager, Monty, sent out the second in command, Dan, to deliver the happy news.  Spoke to him awhile, but sadly as expected, he had nothing substantive to say.  Other than, "leave."  LOL.  Advised him to send out the clearly reluctant Store Manager who apparently wanted to avoid the encounter.  Finally, came out.  Imagine that.

Asked the Store Manager, Monty Young, for a business card.  Remarkably, he had none.  Couldn't be, could it?  LOL.  An HEB Store Manager with no business card?  How is that possible?  Unlimited corporate greed?  Aryan arrogance of a privately-owned corporation?  Or, was he simply lying?  Informed him he'd indeed be front and center in this next edition.

Before getting into specific detail vis a vis my conversation with the Store Manager, it must be stated staff at the Kingsland HEB is second to none.  Have known many of them for years.  Work extremely well together as a team.  Certainly, exceptionally customer-friendly.  The problem with this store is not staff.  Not even the Store Manager and Assistant Manager per se, -- who apparently, despite their denials, had been pressured by someone.  It's the HEB corporate management suite at the root of most of the problems at this store.

The following salient issues were discussed with the Store Manager before I left.  -- Interestingly, none of which he denied.  LOL.  Readers, have you noticed cheaper generic products are either continually out of stock or discontinued?  Especially, after the store changed its product line weeks before the pandemic.  Apparently, in an effort to emulate the Marble Falls store that caters to the Horseshoe Bay elite.

New larger shopping carts were brought in to the Kingsland store so shoppers would supposedly buy more product, increase store sales.  Shelves are restocked 24 hrs.  Staff was unhappy because aisles are too narrow for the larger carts.  Makes it harder to stock shelves when the store is open.  Not only that, makes it much more difficult for shoppers to navigate the narrow aisles.

Product pricing has steeply increased.  They accomplish this both by directly raising prices, as well as in engaging in deception, that is, downsizing product.  One recent glaring example is their generic bleach.  For awhile, it was unavailable, out of stock.  Then, it was downsized from three quarts to two.  Price remained at $1.  A 33% increase.  Done deceptively.  At a time when inflation is supposedly non-existent.  What ever happened to the HCF quart and a half ice cream that sold for $1.99?  Long since gone.  Both aforementioned products had already been downsized once before.  LOL.  List can go on and on.  Unbridled corporate greed.

As I reminded the Store Manager, Kingsland residents, for the most part, are poor, young, elderly, and/or disabled, etc.  This store now caters to the rich who live on the lake and Sunrise Beach.  Not sustainable.  ... Especially, if the shit finally hits the fan vis a vis the Trump nazi, and/or a second shutdown occurs courtesy of the raging, poorly-handled, achingly mismanaged pandemic.

To store employees, all of whom I admire, consider personal friends, courageously provide your ongoing grievances to this publication.  I will publish them while protecting your identity.  If you won't stand up, nothing changes.

As I informed the Store Manager, the problem in Kingsland is the fact HEB has no substantive competition.  What is desperately needed is a Walmart or other major corporation to rattle the cage of local HEB management as well as the corporate management suite.  Until that occurs, nothing changes, shit happens.  ... Right, Monty?  Dan?

In the last two and a half weeks or so, three middle-aged women tripped and fell on the curb by the picnic table.  Third time, 6-26-20.  Took the Store Manager and Assistant Manager quite some time to exit the store and arrive with ice to quell the swelling of the woman who had fallen hard on her face.  I subsequently asked Monty to consider painting the curb iridescent red or orange to avoid injury and a future lawsuit.

Responded couldn't be painted red since it wasn't a fire zone.  Could certainly be painted orange or some other bright color.  If management doesn't care about a lawsuit, where is its concern for the pain and suffering if a customer trips, falls, and suffers serious injury?  ... Couldn't care less, Monty?  -- Or, is it, shortsightedly, insurance will indeed take care of it?  Wake up.  Just a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured and sues the living shit out of HEB.  Even if HEB prevails in court, it loses.  Consider the cost of bad publicity.

To the credit of management, both the Store Manager and Assistant Manager return carts to the front of the store, sanitize them, and pick up trash.  Recently, associates informed me the Store Manager wasn't happy about the performance of the Assistant Store Manager.  LOL.  Apparently, ole' Dan got too good at hiding in the store, shirking cart and other duties, etc.  LOL.  That's apparently changed.  ... Trouble in paradise, boys?  LOL.  Itching to retire, Dan?  LOL.  Give me a break.  Never a dull moment, -- at customer and staff expense.

Finally, to the motherf--ker in County government who likely complained, don't flatter yourself.  Three months?  What took so long you gutless piece of shit?  LOL.  No matter what, Liberty In Peril will remain up and running.  Despite the fact it's been more than 21 years, just the very beginning.  Far more to come.  Far more County corruption, malfeasance, criminal activity to be followed up, and/or exposed.  LOL.  ... Bribed by Johnny Greene, Madam County Attorney?

Readers are advised there is a sticker on the back of the power supply stating:  "Please remove this sticker."  It cannot be easily removed.  Will not peel off.  Have hesitated to scrape it off since doing so might obliterate anything underneath it, -- if anything.  It is not covering a vent and there is no technical reason that it be removed.  Certainly, did not affect operation of the supply for the last year and four months I've had the machine.

Uncommon Valor. Seatbelts on.  In follow-up to an earlier edition of this publication, NPR reports:

"Military names can echo down through the ages, a fact underlined by the current fight in Washington, D.C., between President Trump and Congress, which has voted to strip the names of Confederate generals from several Southern Army bases. The president has vowed that won't happen, but the battle might not be resolved before Election Day. The Navy, meanwhile, has quietly charted a new course. A supercarrier now on the drawing boards will be christened the USS Doris Miller. It's the first to be named for an enlisted sailor and the first to be named after an African American."

What took so long?

"Most supercarriers are named for U.S. presidents — the USS John F. Kennedy. USS Ronald Reagan. USS Abraham Lincoln. Henry Kissinger called them "100,000 tons of diplomacy," and that power has long been reflected in the Navy's conventions for naming them. Doris Miller, who went by "Dorie" in the Navy, was one of the first American heroes of World War II."

Indeed.  Uncommon Valor.  Readers will recall:

"During the attack on Pearl Harbor, as his battleship, the USS West Virginia, was sinking, the powerfully built Miller, who was the ship's boxing champion, helped move his dying captain to better cover, then jumped behind a machine gun and shot at Japanese planes until his ammunition was gone. As a Black sailor in 1941, he wasn't supposed to fire a gun even. This means that when he reached for that weapon, he was taking on two enemies: the Japanese flyers and the pervasive discrimination in his own country. "One of the ways in which the Navy discriminated against African Americans was that they limited them to certain types of jobs, or what we call 'ratings' in the Navy," said Regina Akers, a historian with the Naval History and Heritage Command. "So, for African Americans, many were messmen or stewards. Dorie Miller was a messman, which meant that he basically took care of an officer, laid out his clothes, shined his shoes and served meals."

Jesus Christ.

"Akers said much of the attention at the time, and since, has been on Miller firing the anti-aircraft gun, which he wasn't even trained to do. In fact, it's a moment Hollywood briefly portrayed in several movies about the attack. But Akers said what Miller did afterward is just as important: He began pulling injured sailors out of the burning, oil-covered water of the harbor, and was one of the last men to leave his ship as it sank, and continued getting sailors to safety afterward. An official Navy commendation list of those whose actions during the attack stood out mentioned a Black sailor. But it didn't bother to name Miller, a 22-year-old sharecropper's son from Waco, Texas. "It made two lines in the newspapers," said Frank Bolden, who was a war correspondent for The Pittsburgh Courier, one of the leading Black newspapers of the day. He spoke in an interview with the Freedom Forum before his death in 2003. "The Courier thought he should be recognized and honored. We sent not a reporter, we sent our executive editor to the naval department. They said we don't know the name of the messman. There are so many of them."

Jesus Christ.  What a crock of shit.  Goddamned racists.

"The paper though wasn't about to give up, Bolden said. The Black press knew that by getting this unnamed sailor proper recognition, it could undermine a stereotype that African Americans weren't any good in combat. "The publisher of the paper said, 'Keep after it,' " Bolden said. "We spent $7,000 working to find out who Dorie Miller was. And we made Dorie Miller a hero." This was a pivotal moment, said Akers, the Navy historian. "And so the African American community just swells up with pride," she said. "But at the same time, they're mad at the Navy for not having formally shared what Dorie Miller did." Black leaders at the time were already pressuring President Franklin D. Roosevelt for more opportunities for African Americans in the booming war industry and in the military. Roosevelt barely averted a march on Washington at one point. Miller was awarded a letter of commendation, but the Black press campaigned for a medal. And Adm. Chester Nimitz, commander of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, wanted to take the bold step of upgrading that commendation to the Navy Cross, then the third-highest honor for heroism. Nimitz understood the value of a diverse force made up of sailors who felt they were being treated fairly. "So in Nimitz's mind the award would be good for the Navy and contradict the institutional racism that the Navy was known for," Akers said. Roosevelt, eager to keep the nation united behind the war effort, agreed. Suddenly, Miller was in the spotlight. "Miller I mean, in just like the flip of a switch, becomes a celebrity," Akers said. "He becomes one of the first heroes, period, of the war, but certainly one of the first African American heroes of the war. He was on recruitment posters. His image was everywhere." Miller had a low-key personality, and while he backed the idea of expanded opportunity in the Navy, he was hardly a radical. But because of what he had done at Pearl Harbor, suddenly the Black newspapers such as the Courier had a powerful weapon they had been looking for, said Baylor University history professor Michael Parrish, co-author of Doris Miller, Pearl Harbor and The Birth of the Civil Rights Movement. "He was a catalyst that gave them a lot of strength very early in the war. And they were determined to promote him publicly," Parrish said. Parrish said that in war after war, African Americans had fought for their country, hoping their service would be rewarded with more rights, only to have their hopes dashed. Until Miller stepped behind that gun. "Things came together at Pearl Harbor for Doris Miller and for the civil rights movement, probably to maximum effect," Parrish said. "So World War II was really the turning point in that long struggle."

Outrageous, it took that long.

"Even before Miller formally received the medal, the effects of what he had done, trumpeted by the Black newspapers, began to have an effect. The Navy started training Black sailors for jobs such as gunner's mate, radioman and radar operator. Later it began commissioning Black officers. After the war, in 1948, President Harry S. Truman ordered the military desegregated, a major milestone for the nation. All of that, Parrish said, can be traced to Miller."

Uncommon Valor

Before getting on with the usual fare, take the time to read the following.  Seatbelts on.  Mark Shavin of The Washington Post reports:

"Many years ago, my 5-year-old daughter penned a letter to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Naomi wanted to know if the justice had ever made a mistake. Ginsburg’s warm reply was heartfelt and deeply touching, and when she achieved rock star status as the “Notorious RBG,” I often thought about that letter and all that followed. To begin at the beginning, this was not the first letter Naomi ever wrote. Once she had mastered her ABC’s and begun to write words, it occurred to me that she could string those words together into sentences and even write letters to get answers to her many questions. Her first letter was to the Coca-Cola Co., headquartered in Atlanta not far from where we live. Naomi had already spent three formative years in a Jewish preschool environment and wanted to know, “Why do you put Santa Claus on the Coca-Cola cans? Why don’t you put Jewish things on the cans?” The prompt reply came with a handful of stickers and a somewhat unsatisfying explanation that the company’s holiday packaging was meant to remind consumers of “social and family associations rather than religious ones.” Nevertheless, the fact that she heard back at all lit a fire. More than 50 letters followed, letters written at a snail’s pace at our kitchen table in a child’s painstaking scrawl. I tried not to put thoughts in Naomi’s head, but I did help her find people to correspond with, so letters were dispatched posthaste to Princess Diana, John Glenn, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright (“How did you find out you were Jewish?”), Jimmy Carter, Coretta Scott King, folk artist Howard Finster (he drew her a tadpole) and countless others. They were published in 1998 when Naomi was 7, in a book called “Naomi Wants to Know.”

Get this:

"But Naomi’s letter to Ginsburg began with a question lobbed from the back seat of the car when she was 5 years old. “What’s jail like?” she asked me. I explained in simple terms how people wound up behind bars and the role of judges in helping juries determine guilt or innocence. I told her that one of the country’s most important judges was Jewish (do you sense a theme here?) and that she bore the same name as her beloved Grandmother Ruth. Naomi and Ruth are connected in the Old Testament, and the Bible was on Naomi’s mind as she sat down to write her letter. In it, she included a drawing of a woman looking up at Justice Ginsburg and a drawing of two women standing before King Solomon, seeking his counsel. Ginsburg’s tender reply, dated May 8, 1997, is a lesson in kindheartedness and humility. It also makes note of my persistence in sending the letter twice. Here’s what she wrote:

Dear Naomi,

Thank you for your wonderful letter. Thinking about you, your words, and your drawing, I have been smiling all day.

I have two grandchildren. My grandson is named Paul, and my granddaughter is Clara. Paul is 10 and Clara is 6. They call me “Bubbie.”

In answer to your questions, I am not in charge of all the people in the United States, but I work hard to do my judging job well. And yes, I have made many mistakes, but I try to learn from them so that I will not make the same mistake twice.

Please tell your father I am glad he wrote to me, because I did not receive your letter the first time it was mailed to me.

Keep up the good work you are doing in school.

Every good wish to you, your parents, and your grandmother, Ruru,

Ruth Bader Ginsburg

No question.  A class act.

"Ginsburg thoughtfully included a cartoon depiction of the court across which she had written: “And we order for Naomi Shavin a very bright day.” Over the next few years, Naomi got to meet Ginsburg when she paid a visit to the Georgia State University College of Law and again when she spoke at a lecture series hosted by our local synagogue. It was at that second meeting that Ginsburg invited our family to visit her in her chambers if we were ever in Washington. We made a point of visiting Washington in June 2003. By then, Naomi was going on 12 and could appreciate the surreal majesty of the moment. Her younger brother, Adam, was almost 9, and their younger sister, Sarah, was about to turn 6. We took in the exhibits on public display, and then an employee gave us a personal, behind-the-scenes tour of the building. We learned that the highest court in the land has a basketball court on the top floor. We saw a sign for an exercise class founded by Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. We also learned that each of the justices could decorate their offices with paintings that were off display at the National Gallery of Art. When we were ushered into Ginsburg’s chambers, it was like entering a library, quiet and still. The justice was diminutive but towering in her reputation. I grasped for words to express our gratitude. She remembered Naomi as the little girl who wrote letters. She told us how our fellow Georgian, Jimmy Carter, first elevated her to the federal bench before President Bill Clinton tapped her for the Supreme Court. She spoke to Naomi and Adam and Sarah in a tender, solicitous voice. She told them that schoolchildren from all over visited her and often brought her pins. She had them displayed on a ribbon of cloth and generously invited each of the children to take one. When Naomi tried to give her a second copy of her book of letters (she’d sent the justice a copy years earlier), Ginsburg signed it and handed it back to her."

A class act.

"I don’t recall much more about that meeting, but Naomi, now 29 and a Washington-based journalist at Axios, recently recalled Ginsburg’s “piercing blue eyes,” her kindness in trying to relate to a little girl from Georgia, and the example this champion of equal rights set for girls everywhere, but particularly “young Jewish girls.” As Ginsburg’s many law clerks bore witness this week on the steps of the Supreme Court, her flag-draped casket was carried into that hallowed building to lie on the same catafalque that bore Lincoln’s body. And when the female rabbi began to intone our Hebrew prayers, I wept. If you are Jewish, there is something about hearing your ancient prayers, woven into the fabric of the American experience, that is almost inexpressible. It can only be felt. I wept at the loss of this remarkable woman, who fought so hard for others, who fought so hard for her own life and who touched our family in such a profound and personal way. That she lost her struggle just as Rosh Hashanah was beginning and we were wishing one another “Shana Tova,” a good year, only amplified our sense of despair. Now begins the task of replacing her, but, of course, she is irreplaceable. In what seems like a lifetime ago, a letter from the Supreme Court of the United States arrived in our mailbox. It connected us to one of the most powerful women in the world. And it taught a little girl from Georgia that her voice mattered, that she mattered and that she might one day be able to achieve great things because her pen pal blazed a trail for her. That letter was then, and is now, a blessing."

If only the above were all that had to be covered.

No longer.

No justice in a de facto fascist police-state.  In follow-up to last week's edition of this publication, The Washington Post reports:

"Breonna Taylor’s family on Friday assailed the decision not to prosecute any Louisville officers for shooting her, while their attorneys demanded that grand jury details be made public to reveal more about how this conclusion was reached."

Transparency demands it.  ... Justice?  What's that?

"Their remarks came in an emotional news conference in Jefferson Square Park, which has become a hub of the protests since police shot and killed Taylor while serving a warrant at her apartment in March. Taylor’s family spoke near a mural dedicated to the 26-year-old emergency room technician. On Wednesday, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron (R) said the two officers who shot Taylor were justified because her boyfriend fired at them first. A third officer was indicted by a grand jury for firing into an apartment near that of Taylor. Speaker after speaker pilloried that outcome Friday, repeatedly criticizing Cameron, the police force and the country’s justice system, which Tamika Palmer, Taylor’s mother, described as fundamentally not set up to protect people of color in the United States. “It’s clear that that is the way they will always see us,” Palmer said in a statement which was read aloud at the news conference by her sister, Bianca Austin. “I was reassured Wednesday of why I had no faith in the legal system, in the police, in the law. . . . The system as a whole has failed her.”

The system of justice has failed all of us.  Egregious abuse of power by the murderous criminal jackbooted bastards in blue is ubiquitous, runs rampant across all races and ethnicities.  The policy of law enforcement is 'shoot first, ask questions later.'

"Benjamin Crump, an attorney for Taylor’s family, demanded the release of grand jury transcripts in the case, calling for Cameron to make plain what he did and did not present to them this week and leading the crowd in a chant echoing that plea. “Did he present any evidence on Breonna Taylor's behalf?” Crump said. “Or did he make a unilateral decision to put his thumb on the scales of justice to help try to exonerate and justify the killing of Breonna Taylor by these police officers?"

Cameron is a Mitch "The Bitch" McConnell protégé.  Has a political future to consider.  By this alone, certainly not qualified to have investigated this killing.

"Crump said, “If you want us to accept the results, then release the transcript.” Cameron had said Wednesday that he was not releasing the full grand jury report because of both the ongoing criminal case and an FBI investigation into the case. Elizabeth Kuhn, a spokeswoman for Cameron, said Friday that he “understands that the family of Ms. Breonna Taylor is in an incredible amount of pain and anguish” and that the grand jury’s result “was not what they had hoped.”

Goddamned bullshit.  Condescending, patronizing bullshit disingenuously designed to placate, not resolve the issue:

“Regarding today’s statements at the press conference, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but prosecutors and Grand Jury members are bound by the facts and by the law,” Kuhn said in a statement. “Attorney General Cameron is committed to doing everything he can to ensure the integrity of the prosecution before him and continue fulfilling his ethical obligations both as a prosecutor and as a partner in the ongoing federal investigation.”

LOL.  -- A goddamned joke on a public abused and murdered by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.

"Taylor’s mother, in her statement read aloud Friday by her sister, said she had hoped Cameron “knew he had the power to do the right thing” in the case. “That he had the power to start the healing of this city,” she said. “What he helped me realize is that it will always be us against them,” Palmer wrote in her remarks. “That we are never safe when it comes to them.”

The son of a bitch clearly knew he had the power to do the right thing.  Apparently, chose instead to place career ahead of justice.

"As her sister read her remarks, Palmer stood nearby, kneading her hands as some of those gathered around comforted her. At one point, one of them reached out to wipe tears from Palmer’s eyes. Palmer also leaned her head onto Crump’s shoulder and sobbed at another moment. Palmer wrote that she knew speaking about her feelings would make her labeled “an angry Black woman,” saying she was angry about Black people dying at the hands of police officers."

F--k what the racist, fascist element in our formerly great country thinks.  Forget?  'Can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

"While Taylor’s family and their attorneys spoke, voices in the crowd shouted out “a sham,” “dog and pony show” and “kangaroo court.” They were surrounded by signs bearing messages including, “No lives matter until black lives matter” and “No justice no peace.” People were also wearing masks bearing Taylor’s name."

Again, it's extremely important protest remain non-violent.  Violence enables the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue to murder, abuse authority, etc., -- with virtual impunity.

"Another speaker, Tamika Mallory, co-founder of the group Until Freedom, spoke blisteringly about Cameron, describing him as “a coward” and “a sellout” for his actions. “He protected the police,” she said. Cameron, a 34-year-old Black man and a rising Republican star, spoke about the case at length Wednesday when discussing the outcome, at one point invoking his own mother and describing his understanding of how painful the moment was. Mallory, meanwhile, condemned Cameron in bluntly personal terms. “You were used by the system to harm your own momma, your own Black momma,” Mallory said. “We have no respect for you. No respect for your black skin. … You do not belong to Black people, at all.”

Sadly, didn't stop Cameron from apparently selling out for personal political gain.

Readers are reminded:

"Taylor’s death spurred months of protests and became a rallying cry across the country, with demonstrators and celebrity advocates calling for the Louisville officers who shot and killed her to face charges. In March, police were serving a no-knock warrant at Taylor’s apartment shortly after midnight when they broke down the door. Her boyfriend, fearing intruders, fired one shot, striking one of the officers. Three officers fired in response, and two of them struck Taylor a combined six times. After a months-long investigation, a grand jury Wednesday indicted one of the three officers who fired shots that night, charging him with three counts for firing into Taylor’s neighbor’s apartment. But the revelation that no one would be charged for shooting Taylor spurred a new wave of anguished demonstrations in Louisville and other cities. On Wednesday night, two Louisville police officers were shot amid the protests, which spurred still more anxiety in the city; both officers are recovering, police said."

Thankfully, they are.  Such violence directed against police is stupid.  Simply enables the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue to abuse innocent civilians, murder with virtual impunity.

"Among the speakers at the Taylor family news conference was Jacob Blake Sr., whose son was shot by a Kenosha, Wis., police officer last month in an incident that was recorded and which also prompted a wave of demonstrations there and across the country. Jacob Blake Jr. was shot seven times in the back and paralyzed in the shooting, which remains under investigation by Wisconsin state officials. The elder Blake spoke Friday about driving to Louisville to join another member of a grim collective, people who have had relatives wounded or killed by police. “I knew I had to be here, standing next to my fraternity member,” Blake said. “We didn't choose this fraternity. This fraternity chose us."

Here's the problem:

"Police rarely face charges for fatally shooting people, and those that are prosecuted are unlikely to be convicted. The number of these prosecutions increased after a deadly police shooting in Ferguson, Mo., in 2014 spurred a wave of protests, but they largely ended the same as before that case sparked a nationwide reckoning, with police still given wide latitude to use deadly force. Brett Hankison, the officer indicted Wednesday after the Taylor shooting investigation, was fired from the Louisville police force in June. The grand jury indicted him on three counts, one for each person in the nearby apartment — a pregnant woman, a child and a man. His attorney, Stew Mathews, said Hankison intends to plead not guilty. The two officers who shot Taylor remain on administrative leave, according to the department."

The following is appalling.  Highly indicative of far worse to come:

"Robert Schroeder, the interim chief of the Louisville Metro Police Department, said Friday that after “another long night” of demonstrations and unrest, he expected an even larger crowd protesting over the weekend. Schroeder also said officials had heard rumors about people traveling to Louisville, mentioning so-called militia-type groups among them. “Many of them say they’re coming to help us,” he said of those groups. “Let me be clear: That is not help we need, that is not help we want and it does not help the situation, it only exacerbates the situation.

No question.  Worse, enables insurrection that can, and will ultimately lead to an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution, -- already catastrophically looming.

In light of the above, the following is extremely aggressively stupid:

"Schroeder also addressed media reports documenting emails believed to be sent by Louisville Police Maj. Bridget Hallahan, which quoted her dismissively writing that protesters “do not deserve a second glance or thought from us” and that they would “be the ones washing our cars, cashing us out at the Walmart” or playing video games in their parents’ basements. On Friday, Schroeder said Hallahan had “accepted responsibility for her emails” and was relieved of her command leading the department’s 5th Division. She would be retiring Oct. 1, he said."

Jesus Christ.  How many other officers think like her?

CNN News reports:

"Maj. Bridget Hallahan has been relieved of command of the Louisville Metro Police Department's Fifth Division two days after the Louisville Courier Journal reported that the major had insulted protesters in an August email to other officers. Interim Police Chief Robert Schroeder made the announcement Friday. Schroeder also said that Hallahan is expected to retire from the department on October 1. According to Courier Journal, Hallahan's email read, in part, "These ANTIFA and BLM people, especially the ones who just jumped on the bandwagon 'yesterday' because they became 'woke' (insert eye roll here), do not deserve a second glance or thought from us." "Our little pinky toenails have more character, morals, and ethics, than these punks have in their entire body... Do not respond to them. If we do, we only validate what they did," the email continued, according to the newspaper. "Don't make them important, because they are not. They will be the ones washing our cars, cashing us out at the Walmart, or living in their parents' basement playing COD for their entire life." CNN has been unable to independently verify the contents of the email. Schroeder said Friday that the department was aware of Hallahan's correspondence. "They were her personal opinions and do not represent the views of this department," he said. "Major Hallahan has accepted responsibility for her emails, and is retiring from the department effective October 1." Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell declined to comment on whether Hallahan's upcoming retirement was related to her removal from command. Hallahan did not immediately respond to questions regarding the email, her loss of command, nor her retirement."

Surprised?

"Lonita Baker, an attorney for Breonna Taylor's family, responded angrily to Hallahan's comments Friday. "I want LMPD majors who say that we're the ones out here washing cars or checking you out at Walmart — no we're not." Baker said during a press conference at Louisville's Jefferson Square Park. "We're lawyers. We're businesspeople. We're city employees just like you." "And guess what," she added, "even if I was washing your car, it doesn't matter, I have a right to use my voice."

The Associated Press reports:

"Kentucky’s attorney general has acknowledged that he never asked the grand jury to consider homicide charges against police in the killing of Breonna Taylor."

Stunning, isn't it?  Not surprising, however.

"Amid outrage over the long-awaited charging decision, Attorney General Daniel Cameron said he would agree with a judge’s order to make public a recording of the proceedings, and that he wouldn’t object if members of the panel want to speak publicly about their grand jury experience. In his statement Monday night, Cameron also revealed that the only charge he recommended to the jury was wanton endangerment. He had previously declined to provide details on what charges prosecutors brought to the grand jury to consider when it met last week. Cameron said the grand jury is meant to be a “secretive body,” but “It’s apparent that the public interest in this case isn’t going to allow that to happen.”

Rightfully, so.  Lack of transparency remains outrageous.  Enables corrupt and abusive prosecutors to enable corrupt and abusive jackbooted bastards in blue.

"Cameron said a recording of the grand jury proceedings would be released Wednesday. “Once the public listens to the recording, they will see that over the course of two-and-a-half days, our team presented a thorough and complete case to the grand jury,” Cameron said. But the public deserves to know if any other criminal charges were explored by the grand jury aside from Cameron’s recommendation, said attorney Kevin Glogower, who is representing a grand juror who sued to have the recordings released. “We still don’t know what charges, if any, were presented outside of that recommendation,” Glogower told reporters Tuesday morning. Cameron has “yet to answer what was actually presented as far as the charges and the individual they were directed to. I think that’s important to know and my client feels the same.” Cameron said at a news conference last week that prosecutors “walked them (the grand jury) through every homicide offense and also presented all of the information that was available to the grand jury.”

Be interesting to see if that is indeed true.

The Washington Post reports:

"An attorney for a grand juror who considered charges in the death of Breonna Taylor said Tuesday that the Kentucky attorney general “may not have presented” all the evidence but that he could not detail what was missing until a recording of the proceedings is released and his client is allowed to speak about the process. Kevin Glogower, who represents the unidentified grand juror, said Attorney General Daniel Cameron (R) framed responsibility for the charging decision differently Monday than when he announced it last week. Cameron initially said the jury agreed with prosecutors that the only warranted charges were for wanton endangerment against one officer, but he later said those charges were the only indictments his office recommended. “The primary concern that our client has is, if you watched the press conference after the reading of the indictment, the attorney general laid a lot of responsibility at the grand jurors’ feet,” Glogower said at a news conference. “If you look at the statement that the attorney general’s office released yesterday, they attempted to walk that back.”

Fascinating, isn't it?

"Cameron said he will release a recording of the grand jury proceedings Wednesday on a judge’s order, despite concerns that the release could compromise an ongoing FBI investigation and have other repercussions, such as biasing potential jurors. During an arraignment Monday for Brett Hankison, the former officer charged with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, a judge ordered that a recording of the grand jury proceedings in the case be added to the court file by noon Wednesday. Neither Mattingly nor Cosgrove, the two Louisville police officers who shot Taylor in her home during a nighttime raid in March, were indicted, while Hankison was charged with recklessly endangering neighbors. The outcome fueled protests and calls for transparency in a case that has sowed public distrust and become a rallying cry in protests over police killings of Black Americans. Attorneys for Taylor’s family as well as state and local leaders, including Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D), have urged Cameron to make the secretive grand jury process public as questions mount over last week’s charging announcement. Leaked evidence, first obtained by Vice, suggests that Louisville SWAT members sounded alarms about the raid before it was carried out, that police department procedures may not have been followed after the shooting and that a witness who said he heard police announce themselves before entering Taylor’s apartment may have changed his story. In a court motion urging the release of the grand jury proceedings, the juror says Cameron was “using grand jurors as a shield to deflect accountability and responsibility” for the charging decisions, weakening public trust in the process. The juror also pointed to concern that Cameron “would attempt to utilize the court’s contempt powers … if there was a public disclosure that contradicted certain things that he stated happened during the proceedings, characterized the singularity of the decision in a different light, or raised doubts about charges that were presented during the proceedings.”

Transparency is required to determine precisely what happened and why:

"Glogower said Cameron’s statement Monday did not fully account for what prosecutors told the grand jury. He cautioned that the recording of the grand jury proceedings may not answer all questions and said it is imperative that jurors be allowed to speak publicly about what occurred. “What they’re not telling you in [Cameron’s] release, which is still a question, is what was actually presented to them, if anything,” Glogower said. “What were those charges, who were the potential defendants, and then what was the recommendation, if any, Cameron’s  office had previously said sharing more information about the proceedings would be inappropriate with a criminal case and separate federal investigation ongoing. He said Monday that the grand jury “is meant to be a secretive body” but that it is “apparent that the public interest in this case isn’t going to allow that to happen.”

For damned good reason.  Law enforcement is out of control.  So are prosecutors.  Transparency is absolutely necessary.

"The attorney general declined to describe the grand jury’s decision-making in detail during his news conference last week but emphasized jurors’ agency in the process, saying he gave them all the evidence he had. Activists and representatives of Taylor’s family have been skeptical, demanding more information on the case that Cameron’s team presented."

Let's see if the Attorney General's claim is indeed true:

"Attorneys for the family on Tuesday called on Cameron to release a complete and unedited recording of the grand jury proceedings, as well as all evidence in the case. “Since the grand jury decision was announced, we’ve been saying that Daniel Cameron clearly failed to present a comprehensive case that supported justice for Breonna,” attorneys Ben Crump, Sam Aguiar and Lonita Baker said in a statement. “That conclusion is supported by the grand juror who came forward to say that the attorney general misrepresented the grand jury’s deliberations. We fully support the call to release the entire proceeding transcript as the only way to know what evidence was presented and how the grand jury instructions led to this outcome.” Cameron said in the past week that his only job was to “present the facts” and that he walked jurors through “every homicide offense, and also presented all of the information that was available to the grand jury.” The anonymous juror’s filing Monday took issue with that framing of the process and sought the release of recordings and transcripts. The motion also asked the court to declare that members of the jury are free to detail their experience and discuss “any potential charges and defendants presented or not presented.” “Attorney General Cameron attempted to make it very clear that the grand jury alone made the decision on who and what to charge based solely on the evidence presented to them,” the juror’s filing states. “The only exception to the responsibility he foisted upon the grand jurors was in his statement that they ‘agreed’ with his team’s investigation that [two officers] were justified in their actions.”

NPR reports:

"Kentucky's attorney general has filed a motion requesting more time to release a grand jury recording in the Breonna Taylor case, saying it needs time to redact witnesses' personal information. That task is complicated by the recording's size: it's more than 20 hours long, the attorney general's office says. The recording would provide a window into more than two days of grand jury proceedings in a case that has helped fuel national protests over racial injustice and police use of deadly force against Black people and other minorities. The delay request comes just ahead of a deadline set by Jefferson Circuit Judge Ann Bailey Smith, who took the rare step of ordering the release earlier this week. She is expected to rule on the delay request Wednesday. If Smith grants the request, Attorney General Daniel Cameron's office would use the time "to redact personally identifiable information of witnesses, including addresses and phone numbers," said Elizabeth Kuhn, a spokesperson for Cameron, in a statement sent to NPR. Cameron is seeking a delay up to one week, according to member station WFPL. The judge ordered attorneys to release the recording amid intense public speculation over the decision to indict only Brett Hankison, a former police officer whose bullets are believed to have missed Taylor on the night she died during a botched drug raid in Louisville. Speculation has increased since a grand juror formally requested the ability to speak publicly about the case and how it was handled. Cameron agreed to obey the release order earlier this week, but he added that he has reservations about doing so. "The Grand Jury is meant to be a secretive body," Cameron said. "It's apparent that the public interest in this case isn't going to allow that to happen."

Again, for damned good reason.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

No longer.

Blatant obfuscation by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  The Washington Post reports:

"Two months after the family of Daniel Prude tried to obtain police body-camera footage showing Prude naked, handcuffed and hooded on a Rochester, N.Y., street, nationwide protests against police violence were gaining momentum — and officials did not want the video to be made public. “I’m wondering if we shouldn’t hold back on this for a little while considering what is going on around the country,” a police lieutenant wrote in a June email. Officials suggested citing an “open” investigation. Days later, they raised concerns about the medical privacy of Prude, who died a week after the video was filmed in March. “Can we deny/delay?” a top city attorney wrote in a flurry of emails between city officials."

To protect their sorry asses.

"The video was ultimately given to Prude’s family after a months-long legal battle and made public, sparking outrage and protests and costing the police chief his job."

All for damned good reason.

"The case highlights what some families, victim advocates and lawyers say is a persistent issue amid a nationwide push for police transparency: As viral videos bring unprecedented scrutiny to police officers’ use of force, they allege that authorities are using and sometimes abusing the law to deny and delay the release of police records."

To protect their sorry asses.

Here's the problem:

"Laws in many states create broad exemptions allowing police and other authorities to keep records secret. Officials often cite “ongoing investigations” as the reason, without explaining why releasing a dashboard-camera video or documents would cause harm. In some cases, including Prude’s, these laws are used by authorities against the wishes of a family that wants records made public."

Goddamned, self-serving liars:

"Police and municipal officials say they are following long-standing rules to guard people’s rights and the integrity of investigations and court cases. The Rochester video shows officers forcing Prude’s head and neck onto the pavement. He died a week later in what a medical examiner ruled was a homicide caused by “complications of asphyxia in the setting of physical restraint.” Prude, who was in the throes of a mental health crisis, also had PCP in his system. Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren (D) said she was told that Prude died of a drug overdose. In an April email to a city spokesman, former Rochester police chief La’Ron Singletary wrote that Prude’s death was deemed a homicide with three “attributing factors”: “PCP in his system,” “Excited Delirium” and “Resisting Arrest.” Emails and other documents related to the case were made public as part of an inquiry this month by the city’s deputy mayor. To hide the full picture, “the city was grabbing at any excuse that they could,” said Elliot Shields, an attorney for Prude’s family."

Another problem:

"The information police and other officials release about shootings by officers, deaths in their custody and other uses of force can vary widely from state to state and from agency to agency. But the patchwork of rules governing the United States’ 18,000 police departments tends to favor secrecy, said David Harris, a law professor at the University of Pittsburgh."

To protect their sorry asses:

“State law and local law and rules have been designed to shield police from accountability,” Harris said. “The assumption within law enforcement has been: Citizens don’t need to know this, they won’t understand it, and we’re not under any obligation to share it.”

Aryan arrogance of the criminal jackbooted bastard nazis in blue.  ... Hear the rumble?

Another issue outrageously protecting criminal officers:

"In Minnesota, where George Floyd died in May after a police officer knelt on his neck for about eight minutes, laws shielding records during ongoing investigations — until criminal appeals are exhausted, state police say — meant that body-camera footage of Floyd’s death became public only after it was filed in court. The public knows little about 16 of at least 17 complaints filed against the officer during his two decades on the force, because police personnel records are largely governed by the same privacy laws as other government employees. Details are released only if a complaint led to discipline."

Jesus Christ.  This not only protects, but enables the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.

“We have released what we’re able to release out of the personnel files,” said Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder, who said the department only wants to follow the law."

Disingenuous lying son of a bitch.

Gets worse.  Get this:

"Elsewhere, police have turned to controversial legal interpretations to justify withholding records, prompting accusations that they are misusing laws created for very different purposes."

Common knowledge.  Yet, nothing is done.

"The Florida Police Benevolent Association in June sued the city of Tallahassee to prevent officials from releasing the identities of two police officers involved in fatal shootings, arguing that the officers “were victims of separate, aggravated assaults.”

Jesus Christ.  -- The hubris, goddamned laughable:

"The legal fight centers on a 2018 state constitutional amendment billed as a crime victim’s bill of rights. Known as Marsy’s Law, it says victims have the right to be free from intimidation and the ability to keep “information or records that could be used to locate or harass the victim or the victim’s family” from being released. The union is arguing that “Marsy’s Law should apply to the police just like it applies to anyone,” said Pamela C. Marsh, president of the First Amendment Foundation, a Florida nonprofit that intervened in the case. “But police aren’t just anyone.”

No shit.

"In July, Florida Circuit Court Judge Charles W. Dodson rejected the union’s argument, saying the law’s language was not intended to cover police officers “acting in their official capacity.” One officer shot someone pointing a gun at him and the other shot someone wielding a knife in a threatening way, Dodson said, but under the union’s argument, “officers could act with virtual anonymity.”

Without question.

Report goes on and on.  Certainly, an egregious problem that enables abusive, murderous officers.

The following?  Beyond appalling.  CNN News reports:

"A Seattle police officer captured on video rolling his bicycle over the head of a protester who was laying in the street is now on administrative leave. The Seattle Police Department said in a statement Thursday that the actions of the officer -- who has not been identified -- are being investigated independently by the King County Sheriff's Office at the department's request. Earlier on Thursday, the city's police watchdog group said it was requesting a criminal investigation. Video of the incident taken Wednesday night and posted on Twitter shows a protester laying in the street as an officer, who is on foot, rolls his bicycle over the protester's head and neck area. The scene is immediately surrounded by nearby officers.

"From a review of the video, the Seattle Police Department's Force Investigation Team (FIT) said it had "identified potential violations of SPD policy, as well as potential criminal conduct," the statement from the Office of Professional Accountability (OPA), the watchdog group, said. Subsequently, the case was referred to the OPA. "After further analyzing the video and observing the interviews conducted by FIT, OPA requested that a criminal investigation be conducted," the statement said."

Gutless jackbooted coward in blue, -- increasingly desperate.  In follow-up to a recent edition of this publication, CNN News reports:

"Police Officer Rusten Sheskey has told investigators that it wasn't just his life he was defending when he fired his weapon seven times at Jacob Blake last month in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He said he used deadly force during the chaotic encounter because he was afraid Blake, while attempting to flee the scene, was trying to kidnap a child in the backseat of the vehicle."

Jesus Christ.  They were Blake's children.

"He's got my kid. He's got my keys," Sheskey heard a woman say, according to attorney Brendan Matthews, who is representing the officer. If Sheskey had allowed Blake to drive away and something happened to the child "the question would have been 'why didn't you do something?'" Matthews said."

First, it's bullshit.  Second, Blake took seven rounds to the back.  In a car that had kids in it.  His kids.  Give me a break.

"That explanation, provided in an exclusive interview with CNN, offers the most detailed rationale to date for Sheskey's highly scrutinized decision to shoot Blake, who is Black, as he leaned into an SUV with his children inside it on August 23. Cellphone video of the shooting went viral on the internet, sparking days of protests and rioting in the lakeside city of Kenosha. The shooting, which Blake's family has said resulted in paralysis from his waist down, was widely condemned as yet another unjustified shooting of a Black person by police."

By a gutless jackbooted bastard in blue.

The foot dragging never ends.  Had it been the killing of an officer, even in self-defense, arrest would have been immediate, charges quickly filed.  No equal justice:

"The attorney's comments to CNN come as authorities in Wisconsin announced this week that the results of an investigation by the state Department of Justice would soon be turned over to a retired police chief serving as an independent consultant for his review. The consultant is in turn expected to forward the case to local prosecutors along with an analysis intended to help determine whether criminal charges against Sheskey are warranted. The officer remains on paid administrative leave."

Believe the following?

"Matthews told CNN he typically does not talk about pending cases but said he felt compelled to provide some additional detail to counter what he described as an "incomplete, inaccurate" narrative that has emerged to date. Matthews directly disputed assertions by Blake's family and lawyers that he was unarmed and posed no threat to the officers. At the time Sheskey opened fire, the lawyer said, Blake held a knife in his hand and twisted his body toward the officer. That action is not visible in the video widely circulating on the internet, in which the view of Blake's body is partially obscured by the driver's side door of the SUV."

Even if the above was true, Blake took seven rounds to the back.  An execution attempt that failed.  Judge, jury, and attempted executioner all courtesy of this achingly gutless 'officer.'
.
Gets worse.  Get this:

"Matthews said a second officer at the scene, whom he also represents, provided investigators with a similar account of Blake turning toward Sheskey with a knife in his hand immediately prior to the shooting. That officer said he too would have opened fire but did not have a clear angle, according to the lawyer."

That right?  Who coached the bastard?  You?  Fellow officers?  Law enforcement brass?  ... Or, are these contingencies well-thought out before and after an officer is 'investigated?'  That is, is the fix in?  Is that why it took so long to get to this point in the 'investigation?'  Running out of options?  Is that why there is no transparency to date?

"Authorities have said Blake had a knife in his possession and the weapon was found on the floorboard of the vehicle. But they have released few other details of the incident, citing the ongoing investigation."

Called bullshit.  ... Couldn't be sitting on all this to protect the gutless ass of the officer who pumped seven rounds into Blake's back, could you bastards?

"CNN reached out to Blake's attorney, Benjamin Crump, for comment on Matthews' assertions, but did not receive a response prior to publication. However, Blake's lawyers have insisted he never posed a threat to the officers at any time during the encounter, and his father has denied his son was armed. "They shot my son seven times. Seven times. Like he didn't matter," Jacob Blake Sr., Blake's father, told reporters. "But my son matters. He's a human being, and he matters."

Not to the jackbooted bastards in blue.  Clearly.

"But Matthews, who represents the Kenosha Professional Police Association, said Blake was the aggressor in the encounter, based on the statements Sheskey and Officer Vincent Arenas gave to state investigators earlier this month. The officers, he said, were simply doing their jobs. Blake has not been charged with any crimes stemming from the events of the day he was shot."

Take time to re-read the above quote.  If the jackbooted bastards had a case, why hasn't Blake been long-since charged?  This case reeks.  Couldn't be protecting one of their jackbooted bastards, could they?  Be interesting to see where this all goes, -- if anywhere.

More of the same.  NBC News reports:

"A large group of New York City police officers charged at protesters, diners and pedestrians in Manhattan's West Village on Saturday night, arresting 12 people and raising questions about the aggressive response. After raiding a peaceful art protest in Washington Square Park, NYPD officers rushed the group on a nearby street around 8 p.m., according to NBC New York. The protesters at the scene had walked towards the police precinct house in the neighborhood because officers had seized their music equipment."

Nothing quite like legalized theft, is there?

"Police said in a statement they “responded to a large disorderly group obstructing vehicular traffic in the vicinity of 10 Street and Hudson Street within the confines of the 6 Precinct.” But photos and videos from the incident appeared to show a different scene. Images captured from different angles seem to depict a small group of protesters on one side of the street and dozens of officers on the other side."

Goddamned liars.

"After a message played on a loudspeaker saying, "Please be advised that pedestrians are not permitted to walk in the street or roadway," the police ran towards the protesters on the opposite sidewalk, grabbing people and arresting them. Videos show some people trying to flee, as police pushed them into diners eating an outdoor meal. People who weren’t part of the small protest said they found themselves running away from the police."

Jackbooted bastards in blue.

"Molly Dillon, a policy advisor to New York state senator Alessandra Biaggi, told NBC News she was in the neighborhood when she saw "the massive amount of police officers." "All of the sudden the police all at once came running across the street toward the people watching them," Dillon said. "People were not in the street. People were not chanting. People were stopped to look at the 100 or 200 NYPD gathered around milling about." "As soon as the police started running my friends and I ran down the sidewalk and up against the wall of the restaurant behind us next to a table of diners who allowed us in there," she said. Dillon added she noticed very few of the officers were wearing masks and there was no social distancing. Rebecca Fishbein, a journalist and author who was at the scene, said on Twitter she was “walking down Hudson after a micro-wedding on the water, not there in a reporting capacity.” “Don’t recommend running from the cops in heels,” she wrote, adding that “no one was even in the street” when the police rushed at them. “I’ve lived in New York for 31 years and this was the most unhinged thing I’ve ever seen,” she said."

Surprised?  Why?

Same old goddamned lying bullshit:

"The NYPD said a statement that "a group of roughly 150 demonstrators came to the 6th precinct and blocked traffic," and they took people into custody "after multiple warnings to clear the sidewalk." In total, police arrested 12 people, eight of whom received summonses for disorderly conduct, the NYPD said. Brad Hoylman, a New York state senator for Manhattan, said his office was in touch with police about their use of force on Saturday evening. “We’re exhausted of seeing video after video, and hearing from constituents in person, of inexplicable escalations that undermine an already fragile trust,” he wrote on Twitter."

Then get off your sorry ass, Senator, and do something about it.

About time it cost the bastards dearly.  In follow-up to a case covered earlier in this publication, The Washington Post reports:

"Prince George’s County has agreed to pay the family of a man fatally shot by a police officer $20 million, believed to be one of the nation’s largest one-time settlements involving someone killed by police. The county settled with the family of 43-year-old William Green, who authorities say was shot six times with his hands cuffed behind his back in the front seat of a police cruiser by Cpl. Michael A. Owen Jr. Owen was arrested the day after the Jan. 27 shooting and has been fired. He is awaiting trial on charges of second-degree murder. The agreement was reached between the administration of Prince George’s County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks (D) and longtime Baltimore-based attorney William H. “Billy” Murphy. “I agree with County Executive Alsobrooks that this historic settlement shows that the Black life of William Green and the Black lives of his grieving mother, son and daughter truly matter,” Murphy said in a telephone interview. “Black lives matter.” In 2015, Murphy secured a $6.4 million settlement with the city of Baltimore after the death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray in police custody. The $20 million settlement is one of the biggest involving an African American killed by an on-duty officer in the United States, Murphy said. At a news conference Monday, Alsobrooks said the settlement represented the county “accepting responsibility” for mistakes made in Green’s death. “Police are given by this community an awesome and tremendously difficult responsibility of protecting life,” she said. “They are also likewise given an authority that is not shared by anyone else in this community — and that is the authority to take life. ... When that trust is abused, it is necessary to take swift and decisive action.” Alsobrooks said the $20 million will come from the county’s budget and had to be first approved by Stanley Earley, the county’s budget director. “This is not the way we want to spend tax dollars, which is why we are doing everything we can to make sure it never happens again,” Alsobrooks said."

Should never have happened in the first place.

"During the news conference in the county government office building in Largo, members of Green’s family joined Murphy, Alsobrooks and other officials. Shelly Green, Green’s daughter, said that while the settlement would never bring her father back, the family planned to use part of it to combat police brutality. Green’s cousin Nikki Owens said the family was still grieving. “This doesn’t bring justice,” she said of the settlement. “This doesn’t bring peace.”

Readers will recall:

"On the evening Green was killed, police received a 911 call about a man driving a Buick who had struck several vehicles starting in Silver Hill, Md. They found Green in the car nearby in Temple Hills. Owen got Green out of the car, cuffed Green’s hands behind his back and placed him in the cruiser to wait for a drug recognition expert, according to police records and interviews. Owen is accused of firing seven shots a few minutes later, six of which hit Green, still handcuffed in the front seat. Green, a father of two who worked as a Megabus luggage loader, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The next day, Owen was arrested and charged in Green’s death. Owen is the county’s first police officer charged with murder while on duty, Alsobrooks said."

Get this:

"Owen, who was not wearing a police-issued body camera at the time of the shooting, told authorities that he had feared for his life because Green reached for his firearm. Prosecutors say there is no evidence that Green posed a serious threat."

How do you reach for anything with your hands cuffed behind your back?

Yet, won't stop counsel for the jackbooted bastard in blue from desperately engaging in aggressive stupidity:

"On Monday, Owen attorney Thomas Mooney called the prosecutor’s decision to charge his client a “knee-jerk” reaction based on “unsubstantiated or discounted facts and hastily misguided assumptions.” Mooney said Owen looked forward to his trial, “where all the facts will be finally revealed and brought to light and justice will prevail.” Owen remains jailed until trial."

Remains an exigent threat to the public:

"An investigation by The Washington Post showed that the county police department’s early warning system flagged Owen for using force twice in quick succession the summer before Green’s killing. But his supervisors were not formally notified until January, The Post found, and they did not take action ahead of Green’s killing. Owen’s supervisors were unaware that he had sought workers’ compensation for psychological difficulties stemming from a fatal shooting early in his career, department officials said, even though Owen was supposed to notify them. Green was at least the second person killed by Owen. On Dec. 17, 2011, Owen fatally shot 35-year-old Rodney Deron Edwards after Owen saw Edwards lying in a front yard in Landover, according to police. When Owen tried to investigate, Edwards pulled a gun, according to Owen’s written report. Owen shot Edwards. Edwards’s family disputed the account, although a loaded handgun was found at the scene. It is unclear whether Owen was involved in another fatal shooting. He filed a state workers’ compensation claim as a result of the fatal shooting of a suspect in 2010. But police have said that they have no record of Owen being involved in a fatal shooting on that date. Owen began seeing a psychiatrist as a result of that shooting, workers’ compensation records show. Alsobrooks said officials have closed the loophole that allowed Owen to receive workers’ compensation for post-traumatic stress disorder without his bosses knowing at the same time as he continued working — a lapse detailed in The Post’s investigation. She added that she created a police reform group dedicated to making significant recommendations to the department and that she will be engaged in discussions at the state level this winter."

How could the department not known Owen had serious problems?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

The following is beyond contempt.  NPR reports:

"Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody was booked on Monday on a $10,000 bond. A grand jury indicted the Texas sheriff on charges of destroying or concealing video in an investigation into the death of Javier Ambler, a Black man who died in police custody last year.

"A Texas sheriff has been indicted on felony charges of tampering with evidence in the case of Javier Ambler, a Black man who was killed by police last year during a traffic stop that escalated into a high-speed chase caught on film by a reality television show. Sheriff Robert Chody, who turned himself in, was arrested and booked on Monday. He was released shortly after posting $10,000 bail."

That all?

"The Williamson County grand jury indictment accuses Chody of intentionally destroying or concealing video and audio recordings of the fatal encounter, which was filmed for the television show Live PD. Jason Nassour, a lawyer with the county attorney's office, was also indicted on the same felony evidence-tampering charge. According to the indictment sheriff's deputies J.J. Johnson and Zach Camden first tried to pull Ambler over for allegedly failing to dim his headlights. But the routine stop became a 22-minute car chase with a helicopter and the television crew in tow. During the chase, Ambler struck a number of vehicles and eventually disabled his own. By then, the pursuit had crossed over into Travis County. Body camera footage from an Austin Police Department officer, offers a disturbing record of Ambler's final moments: The 40-year old postal service worker was tased four times as pleaded repeatedly for officers to stop. He repeatedly cried out in agony, telling the deputies he suffered from congestive heart failure and exclaiming, "Save me. I can't breathe." He died at the scene, where Chody and Nassour were also present. The case went largely unnoticed by the public for months until an investigation by the Austin American-Statesman and local news station KVUE provided a detailed account of Ambler's death and uncovered the destruction of the raw and unaired Live PD footage. The show was canceled in June and according to the Statesmen, the production company held on to the footage at the request of investigators. But after some time, the recordings were destroyed. Live PD was a ratings hit for A&E and had been on the air for four years. But amid nationwide protests against police brutality and a slew of recorded incidents of excessive use of force against people of color, the cable network moved to yank the show off the air. The reports of the destroyed footage prompted Williamson County District Attorney Shawn Dick and Travis County District Attorney Margaret Moore to open a joint investigation into the matter in June. Live PD producers have since told KVUE that they only disposed of the recordings after they were told by Chody's office that the investigation was completed using body camera footage and dash camera video."

The following is extremely interesting:

"Dan Abrams, the host of the show, explained the program's policies on retaining raw footage on his podcast, the Dan Abrams Show, saying: "The show has a policy of not retaining video for more than roughly 30 days. The reason for that is that we didn't want to become a video repository for either side — prosecutors, for defense, et cetera. We didn't want to become an arm of law enforcement. We didn't want to become an arm of defense attorneys, et cetera. So we had this policy in place about not retaining videos."

"But investigators from the Austin Police Department and the Travis County District Attorney's civil rights division say they were still relying on obtaining the footage, KVUE reported. Chody, who is up for reelection, addressed the indictment and ongoing investigation by the Williamson County District Attorney in a news conference hours after he made bail. He categorically denied allegations that he attempted to impair the investigation and said he would later provide ample email correspondence as evidence that he willingly cooperated with all aspects of it. Reading from a lengthy prepared statement, the sheriff attacked Dick, whom he called "petty," and accused him of acting "in a vindictive and politically motivated manner by seeking an indictment in this case." Chody said Travis County District Attorney Margaret Moore took "no action for 19 months" and suggested she only agreed to launch the investigation "to try to save herself during a runoff election." Chody's attorney, Gerry Morris, also dismissed the charges, claiming the sheriff was a "scapegoat" for Dick and Moore's own failures. "To say that this is critical evidence is baloney," Morris said. "There was a chopper in the air that followed Ambler," and several vantage points of the incident from a variety of bodycam videos, he said. He added: "The videos show that [Chody's] deputies did nothing wrong." Chody's office fought the release of body camera footage and other documents related to Ambler's death. They were only provided to news outlets after the sheriff was compelled by the Texas Attorney General's Office, which said it could not withhold the records. Travis County District Attorney Moore on Monday said a grand jury there could potentially bring additional charges against Chody and Nassour, as well as deputies Johnson and Camden for excessive use of force."

Most interesting times, aren't they?

Another jackbooted murder.  This time, a woman is killed.  ABC News reports:

"A Kansas woman who was shot and killed by a sheriff's deputy after refusing to pull over was unarmed and posed no danger to him or the public, according to a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday. The court filing paints a different picture to that recounted by authorities following the fatal shooting in Wichita of 51-year-old Debra Arbuckle of Andover by Sedgwick County Deputy Kaleb Dailey in the early morning hours of Dec. 30, 2019."

Does it ever.

"Authorities said at the time that the deputy fired several rounds after Arbuckle put her car into reverse and accelerated toward deputies. The sheriff's department said the deputy feared for his life. The family's attorney, Michael Kuckelman, said multiple law enforcement videos show that while Arbuckle did put her car in reverse and the backup lights came on, she never accelerated toward the deputies. Furthermore, Dailey had just rammed her car onto a grassy area and her vehicle was surrounded by patrol cars so she couldn't go anywhere, Kuckelman said. Dailey got out of his car and positioned himself so his vehicle separated him from Arbuckle. “He wasn't in any sort of danger," Kuckelman said. "He shot her through the passenger window and he shot over his patrol car in order to shoot her.”

Imagine that.  Couldn't be, could it?  An officer would never murder in cold blood, would he?

Get this:

"Arbuckle couldn't have reached him even if she had wanted to, he said, noting that authorities had earlier spiked her tires during a pursuit so she was unable to drive faster than 15 mph (24 kilometers per hour). Deputies chased Arbuckle because her Volkswagen sedan had a license plate that belonged on a Chevy pickup truck."

Think that justifies her murder by a jackbooted bastard in blue?

"The lawsuit, filed by Arbuckle’s son Alek Hansen, seeks unspecified general and punitive damages. Lt. Benjamin Blick said the Sedgwick County sheriff's office would not comment on the complaint. A home phone number for Dailey could not be found. Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett said in an emailed statement that the case remains under review and that no charging decision has been made. He declined to comment further."

Jesus Christ.  This killing goes back nine months.  Why the delay?  Kill an officer even in self-defense, guess what?  Get immediately arrested, jailed, and charged with capital murder.  No equal justice.  None.

"Arbuckle's family wants the sheriff’s department to fire Dailey and for his law enforcement certification to be revoked. They also want Bennett to file criminal charges, Kuckelman said. Dailey had been on the other side of Wichita when the chase began shortly after 3 a.m., and he raced across the city to join in, at one point reaching 142 mph (230 kilometers per hour). “That in of itself should result in termination,” Kuckleman said. “We can't have law enforcement driving at speeds of 142 miles an hour through Wichita to go to the east side and join a chase already underway about a wrong license plate being on a vehicle. That is reckless.”

Could it be an indication how truly desperate he was to get to the scene to have an opportunity to kill?

No justice.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Above and beyond.  United Press International reports:

"A Massachusetts police department shared video of an officer coming to the rescue of a skunk with its head stuck inside a cup. The Tewksbury Police Department said Officer Eric Hanley spotted the skunk running in circles in a parking lot with the McDonald's cup stuck over its head. The department posted a video to Facebook showing Hanley chasing the skunk and making multiple attempts to pull the cup from the animal's head without being sprayed by the animal's smelly defense mechanism. "He was able to safely and quickly rescue the skunk from his predicament without injury.. or any unpleasant odors," the department said."

Think Democrats won't retaliate against Republican intentions to load the Supreme Court with a 6-3 nazi Republican majority?  CBS News reports:

"Democrats are fuming over the decision by Senate Republicans to move forward on a vote to confirm President Trump's yet-to-be-named nominee to the Supreme Court to fill the vacancy left by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death, four years after GOP leaders refused to hold a vote on a Democratic president's nominee during an election year. In 2016, Republicans in control of the Senate blocked President Obama's nominee to the court, Merrick Garland, from even receiving a hearing, leaving the Supreme Court with only eight justices for over a year. Now, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other Republicans argue that the court must have nine justices ahead of the November election. Given the likely legal challenges accompanying the influx of mail-in ballots this year, it's possible that the fate of the election could fall to the Supreme Court, which would have a 6 to 3 conservative majority if Mr. Trump's nominee is confirmed before Election Day. Fury over what they see as rank hypocrisy from Republicans has led some Democrats to ponder options that recently were considered fringe ideas, most notably adding seats to the Supreme Court. Some progressives say expanding the court, an idea known as "court packing," is the only way to restore balance to a body that has become overtly partisan. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told members of his conference that "nothing is off the table" if Democrats retake the Senate, indicating that he is willing to consider expanding the court. Senator Ed Markey, one of the more progressive Democrats in the Senate, has called outright for eliminating the filibuster and expanding the court. House Judiciary Committee Chair Jerry Nadler tweeted that if the Republican Senate confirms a justice after Election Day but before a new Congress is sworn in, "then the incoming Senate should immediately move to expand the Supreme Court." Christopher Kang, the chief counsel and co-founder of Demand Justice, a progressive group advocating for reforms to the Supreme Court, argued in an interview with CBS News that expanding the court would "restore balance and legitimacy to it." "What we're seeing today, over the last couple of days, is the increasing realization that Republicans are going to exercise as much raw political power as they can to ensure that the Supreme Court remains a partisan institution," Kang said. He noted that Democrats have won the popular vote in six of the last seven elections, but the Supreme Court has had a conservative majority for decades."

Certainly, since the end of the Warren Court during the Nixon Administration.  -- Some fifty years ago.

"David Faris, an associate professor of political science at Roosevelt University, said that if Garland had been confirmed in 2016, the court would have had a liberal majority for the first time in his lifetime. "And I'm not super young," he added. Faris pointed out that, if Mr. Trump's nominee is confirmed, then five of the nine justices on the court will have been nominated by presidents who lost the popular vote. (Chief Justice John Roberts and Associate Justice Samuel Alito were nominated by President George W. Bush during his second term. Mr. Bush lost the popular vote in 2000, but won a majority in 2004.) Faris, who wrote an opinion piece in The New Republic arguing in favor of adding seats to the Supreme Court, also noted in an interview with CBS News that the Constitution does not specify how many seats the court must have. Seats can be added or subtracted by acts of Congress, although the current composition of nine seats has been in place since 1869. Faris argued that Republicans had effectively contracted the court in 2016 by leaving it as an eight-person entity for the period of time between the death of Justice Antonin Scalia and Justice Neil Gorsuch's confirmation in 2017. "Republicans manipulated the size of the court. They had the full legal right to do so, although it was not conducive to fair play," Faris said. If a Democratic Congress and a Democratic president passed legislation to add seats to the court, it would also be within their legal right to do so, since Congress has the authority to set the size of the court under the Constitution."

The following is certainly a direct threat to a democratic republic:

"In high-profile cases, justices are now typically expected to rule in line with the party of the president who nominated them."

No question.

"Many Republicans, including the president, have criticized Chief Justice John Roberts for siding with the liberal justices on critical cases, even though he was nominated by Republican President George W. Bush. Some believe that adding seats to the court would help neutralize the idea that the court is a completely partisan body. "The argument is that this is a way to counterbalance moves that have been made recently that have pushed the court to one side, and potentially pushed the court to one side in a way that doesn't in fact reflect the will of the people," Steigerwalt said. However, Steigerwalt said that some are worried adding seats to the court could simply reinforce the idea that justices are partisan actors, essentially "legislators in a robe." That may lead to people questioning the legitimacy of the court — and states possibly deciding that they don't need to follow its rulings."

For damned good reason, the Court is already considered a partisan organization.

"If the court issues a federal ruling, and then a new court comes in, and they then reverse the decisions, and the only thing that's changed in the interim is the membership of the court, then it becomes really hard to argue that there's a reason to uphold Supreme Court decisions to guide the rest of the nation," Steigerwalt said. Some opponents of expanding the court also question whether subsequent Congresses would go back and forth in adding and subtracting justices. "Instead of tit-for-tat court packing, why don't they just fix it?" Faris asked."

How?  Certainly, no easy way:

"There are a few alternatives to adding seats to the court. Demand Justice supports reforms such as imposing term limits on justices and creating a binding code of ethics for justices. Establishing term or age limits for justices would, however, require constitutional amendments. Although expanding the court still seems like a distant possibility, the likelihood that a Democratic Congress and president would add seats to the court increases if Republicans confirm Mr. Trump's nominee before the election, Kang said. "If [Republicans] are successful, I absolutely think that the momentum is absolutely going to be on the side of doing something," Kang said."

No question.

"Faris said that Republicans had the opportunity to look "super magnanimous" by not filling the seat ahead of the election. If Mr. Trump wins reelection and Republicans retain the Senate, then waiting to fill the vacancy wouldn't matter anyway. That calculation changes if Democrats win the Senate and the White House. "If [Democrats] do win, and then they pack the courts, it's hard to see all of this as anything as a really hollow victory for McConnell," Faris said."

Certainly, better than an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on an increasing number of issues.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Trumps remains an exigent threat to a democratic republic.  CNN News reports:

"President Donald Trump said Thursday that he's not sure November's election will be "honest" because of the use of unsolicited ballots, extending his baseless assertion that widespread mail-in voting is rife with fraud and again casting doubt on if he will accept the results of the election. "We have to be very careful with the ballots, the ballots, that's a whole big scam," Trump falsely told reporters before departing the White House on Thursday, referring to unsolicited mail-in ballots that only nine states and Washington, DC, provide. The November contest, he said, needs to be "honest," adding that, "I'm not sure that it can be, I don't know that it can be with this whole situation, unsolicited ballots, they're unsolicited, millions being sent to everybody."

It's all bullshit from a man desperately afraid of losing the election.

"The President's comments come as he continues to lean into a conspiratorial message around the US voting process and build on his pointed refusal Wednesday to commit to providing a peaceful transition of power after Election Day. "Well, we're going to have to see what happens," Trump said when asked whether he'd commit to a peaceful transition, one of the cornerstones of American democracy."

What president has ever made such an assertion, no more than a thinly-disguised threat?

"He has previously refused to say whether he would accept the election results, echoing his sentiments from 2016 that he'll "have to see." And Trump has joked -- he says -- about staying in office well past the constitutionally bound two terms. But the President's refusal to guarantee a violence-free transition went further and is likely to alarm his opponents, who are already on edge given his deployment of federal law enforcement to quell protests in American cities."

Mark of an insane nazi tyrant.

"Earlier Thursday, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany did not explicitly say the President would accept the results of the election, only saying Trump would "accept the results of a free and fair election." However, the President himself continues to cast doubt on whether he will view this election as "free and fair." While rare instances of voter fraud from mail-in ballots do occur, it is nowhere near a widespread problem in the US election system. Mail ballot fraud is exceedingly rare in part because states have systems and processes in place to prevent forgery, theft and voter fraud. These systems would apply to both absentee ballots and mail-in ballots for in-state voters."

That's right.

"Additionally, the President's distinction between mail-in voting and absentee voting has baffled experts who say those voting systems are essentially the same thing. "No-excuse mail voting or absentee voting -- whatever you call it -- is essentially the same thing," David Becker, founder of the nonpartisan Center for Election Innovation and Research, previously told CNN. "You request a ballot, you get a ballot, you vote, you send it in, and there are protections in place. It doesn't matter whether you call it mail voting or absentee voting. It's the same thing."

... Hear the rumble?  United Press International reports:

"President Donald Trump on Saturday nominated conservative jurist Amy Coney Barrett to succeed feminist icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the U.S. Supreme Court. "Amy is more than a fantastic scholar and judge. She is a profoundly devoted mother. It is a core part of who she is," Trump said at a Saturday-afternoon address at the White House Rose Garden, adding that she would be the first Supreme Court justice in history to be the mother of school-aged children."

Parental status of a judicial nominee is irrelevant to a nomination.  Political ideology is precisely why Trump selected Ms. Barrett.

"This should be a straightforward and prompt confirmation. This should be very easy. It should be very quick. I'm sure it will be extremely non-controversial. We said that last time, didn't we?" he said."

Trump remains achingly clueless, -- and no comedian.  Selected Ms. Barrett because she has a history of expressing and embracing national socialist views.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Ultimate display of hypocrisy by the 'judge?'  Get this:

"Barrett also briefly took the stage Saturday, describing her predecessor as "an inspiration to us all" and saying she found inspiration in Ginsburg's friendship with Justice Antonin Scalia, for whom Barrett served as a clerk early in her career."

Jesus Christ.  Ms. Barrett has embraced a national socialist, fascist ideology that contradicts all Ginsburg stood for.  The quote above remains highly disingenuous, -- as phony as a $3 bill.

Scalia was no great American.  Had embraced and promulgated a national socialist ideology.  She is, however, quite correct about the friendship that had developed between Scalia and Ginsburg.  Unlike most fascists, Scalia indeed had heart.  Trump has none:

"These two great Americans demonstrated that arguments even based on matters of great consequence need not destroy relationships," Barrett said."

A rare exception.  Again, due to the fact Scalia was nowhere near as rabid as most nazis in the Republican Party.  -- That last sentence coming from a writer and publication that had savaged Scalia when he was on the Court.

The following is factually incorrect, worse, delusional:

"Of Scalia, she said, "His judicial philosophy is mine too: a judge must apply the law as written. Judges must not be policymakers."

Precisely what a 'judge' who embraces fascism routinely does on the bench.  Promulgates their nazi ideology.  Every goddamned one of them the last half century since the Warren Court.

"Barrett, 48, who serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, is a devout Catholic who opposes abortion. Should she be confirmed, she would give the court an even greater conservative majority at 6-3."

They're not conservatives.  They're goddamned fascists.

"The New York Times reported in 2017 that Barrett is a member of People of Praise, a small Christian group that requires a loyalty oath to a personal adviser. She is also a member of the conservative Federalist Society. During her Senate confirmation hearing to the appeals court in 2016, Barrett was grilled about her past statements about religion. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D- Calif., said, "I think in your case, professor, when you read your speeches, the conclusion one draws is that the dogma lives loudly within you, and that's of concern." Feinstein's remark prompted conservative backlash."

-- Fascist backlash from the nazi element in our formerly great country.

"Democrats fear Barrett's faith will lead to bias in consideration of cases challenging to Roe vs. Wade, which legalized abortion."

How can it not?  Already, has.

Ultimate hypocrisy?

"McConnell blocked hearings for former President Barack Obama's nominee after the death of Scalia about nine months before the 2016 election on the grounds that "the people should have a voice."

Democrats remain gutless.  Incapable of handling the threat against all civil and constitutional rights and liberties posed by a pending 6-3 nazi Republican U.S. Supreme Court.  ABC News reports:

"A key member of the Senate Judiciary Committee and the number two Democrat in the Senate acknowledged Sunday that Democrats have no real power to stop a vote on President Donald Trump's nominee to the Supreme Court before November's election. "We can slow it down perhaps a matter of hours, maybe days at the most,” Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin told ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos on "This Week.” “But we can't stop the outcome."

Jesus Christ.  Neither party is worth a shit.  For totally different reasons.

Gets worse.  Get this:

"While denouncing her nomination, Durbin said he would meet with Barrett, and rejected calls to boycott her confirmation hearings. Several Judiciary Committee Democrats, including Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono, have announced they will not meet with Barrett."

Why give this nazi 'jurist' any time at all?  Why aren't you boycotting the goddamned confirmation vote?  The following quote is pathetic.  Highly illustrative of why gutless Democrats are no longer worth a shit:

"I've met with every Supreme Court nominee since I've been in the Senate. I will extend that courtesy, if she requests it, for at least a socially distanced, safe meeting, perhaps over the phone," Durbin said. "I want to be respectful. We disagree on some things. And in terms of participating in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, I'll be there to do my job."

What's that, Senator?  To reinforce and enable the Trump nazi and his henchmen?

Think it can't get worse?  Get this:

"Durbin also dismissed concerns about legitimizing Barrett's confirmation process when pressed by Stephanopoulos. "We're talking about someone who will be on the highest court in the land for the remainder of her life, and I take that seriously," he said."

Don't think you do, Senator.  Your bullshit screams otherwise:

"Durbin said he wants to ask Barrett "point-blank" about her position on ending the Affordable Care Act, a concern many Democrats share, citing her criticism of Chief Justice John Robert's opinion in a previous case on the health care bill."

She'll refuse to answer on the grounds the case will come before her.  Wake up.

"The senior Illinois senator also told Stephanopoulos that a change to rules was on the table if Democrats won back the Senate in November. Some, most vocally Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, have called for the elimination of the filibuster and adding seats to the Supreme Court, because Republicans blocked Obama's nominee Judge Merrick Garland and are now demanding a vote on Barrett."

Biden has to win for that to happen.  Even if he does, it won't be quite that simple to accomplish.  ... That all you got, Senator?  Pitiful.  Especially, in view of the fact Trump presents an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

"Mitch McConnell has taken the Senate and turned it into something that is not even close to a deliberative and legislative body," Durbin said. "We need to make sure that whatever the procedure is in the future, that we get down to business, roll up our sleeves, and address the issues that affect this country."

More meaningless, clueless, hopelessly lacking rhetoric, abject bullshit.

"After Trump said this week he wanted his nominee on the Supreme Court by the election so they could rule on potential challenges, Durbin echoed calls by many in his party for Barrett to recuse herself in the event that situation arose. "I certainly wish she would, it would help matters," he said. "And it would evidence the fact that she wants to be fair in addressing this." But when Stephanopoulos challenged him on former Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's call for Joe Biden to not concede the election, he strongly disagreed with Clinton's comments. Clinton's advice to Biden came after she told Showtime's "The Circus" last month she thought the president would use absentee ballots to discredit the election results. "Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances because I think this is going to drag out, and eventually I do believe he will win if we don't give an inch and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is," she [said] in the interview. "I respect her, I like her. But I think she's just flat-out wrong," Durbin said. "The election itself is going to be announced, the winner will be announced at some point." "If we are going to maintain a democracy, peaceful transition through an election is the only way to do it," Durbin said. "Whoever the winner is, if it is clear and legal, that should be announced and the other party should concede."

Jesus Christ, Senator.  Are Democrats determined to lose?  If you don't fight the nazi element in the Republican Party with all you got, guess what?  ... Hear the rumble?  Wake up.  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

Plot thickens.  United Press International reports:

"President Donald Trump on Monday insisted he has "very little debt" in response to a New York Times report saying he went many years without paying any federal income tax and owes hundreds of millions in loans. In a series of tweets, Trump denied the conclusions of the report that he faces more than $400 million in loan and debt repayments that are coming due soon. The Sunday article is based on copies of Trump's tax returns that were provided by a confidential source. It also said Trump paid just $750 per year in income taxes in 2016 and 2017 and no income taxes at all in 10 of 15 years before he became president. Trump, who has been fighting for years to keep his tax returns private, reported in many of his returns that he lost "much more money than he made," the Times said."

The public is entitled to know whether or not their president is a crook.

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Monday the debts have national security implications. "This president appears to have over $400 million in debt ... To whom? Different countries? What is the leverage they have? So for me, this is a national security question," Pelosi said in an interview with MSNBC. Trump called the Times report "nonsense with illegally obtained information" and accused the Times of having "only bad intent." "I paid many millions of dollars in taxes but was entitled, like everyone else, to depreciation and tax credits," he added. Trump didn't specify, however, if the millions to which he referred went to income taxes -- the main thrust of the Times' report. "Also, if you look at the extraordinary assets owned by me, which the [news media] hasn't, I am extremely under leveraged -- I have very little debt compared to the value of assets," he said in another tweet."

Should never have won the 2016 election without releasing his tax returns, -- as all his recent predecessors have done.  His supporters have been hoodwinked on a variety of issues.  Remain hopelessly blind.

"While Trump did not present supporting documentation, he added that "I am the only president on record to give up my yearly $400,000-plus presidential salary." Last month, he donated one paycheck to the National Park Service."

Fails to make up for the egregious lack of transparency.

"Trump did not answer questions from reporters about the tax returns during a brief event at the White House Monday morning. The Times said the tax returns showed Trump claimed losses at some of his prime assets -- including a $55 million loss at the Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C., between 2016 and 2019. Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, who will face Trump Tuesday in their first debate, released an ad shortly after the Times report comparing Trump's taxes to the average amounts paid by workers like firefighters, nurses and teachers. The ad lists firefighters' average taxes of $5,283; $7,239 for teachers; and $10,216 for nurses before noting Trump's payments of $750. Trump's refusal to release any tax returns dates back to his early days as a Republican candidate in 2015, when he said he wouldn't disclose the documents while he was under an IRS audit. Since then, his attorneys have regularly fought legal and congressional efforts to see the returns. The Trump Organization also rejected the Times report, saying the reported figures "appear to be inaccurate." "Over the past decade, President Trump has paid tens of millions of dollars in personal taxes to the federal government, including paying millions in personal taxes since announce his candidacy in 2015," Alan Gartner, the organization's chief legal officer, said in the Times report."

Prove it.  Release his tax returns.

"Since the report was posted Sunday, Democrats and other observers have called for Trump to release his tax records. Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe tweeted that leverage held by Trump's creditors "puts them in position to squeeze us all as long as he's president." "Two takeaways: 1. Keeping him in office endangers our national security. 2. He's desperate to hold onto office to stay out of prison," he wrote."

No shit.  LOL.

The Associated Press reports:

"Revelations that President Donald Trump is personally liable for more than $400 million in debt are casting a shadow that ethics experts say raises national security concerns he could be manipulated to sway U.S. policy by organizations or individuals he’s indebted to. New scrutiny of Trump, who claims great success as a private businessman, comes after The New York Times reported that tax records show he is personally carrying a staggering amount of debt — including more than $300 million in loans that will come due in the next four years. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., was blunt about the potential implications. “He may be vulnerable to financial blackmail from a hostile foreign power and God knows what else,” said Warren, a frequent Trump critic. The Times said the tax records also show that Trump did not pay any federal income taxes in 11 years between 2000 and 2018, raising questions about the fairness of a president — who purports to be a billionaire — paying less in taxes than most Americans. The politically damaging revelations about Trump’s tax avoidance, however, are perhaps less concerning than word the president is holding hundreds of millions of dollars of soon-to-mature debt, ethics experts said."

Here's the problem:

“Americans should be concerned about the president’s debt because it’s a national security risk for our country,” said Donald Sherman, deputy director of the nonprofit government watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW). “This is information that the president has aggressively and repeatedly tried to keep away from the public.” Trump, citing an ongoing Internal Revenue Service audit, has refused to follow the post-Watergate precedent set by other presidents of releasing his tax returns, so the complexities of his financial interests and whom he does business with have remained opaque. He’s fighting ongoing court battles with New York’s attorney general, Manhattan’s district attorney and two House committees who want the records. Richard Painter, who served as chief ethics attorney in Republican George W. Bush’s White House, also noted that Trump-owned companies have declared bankruptcy six times, raising the question: Why have lenders been willing to keep risking loans of such enormous amounts? “Why would banks assume the risk on these loans?” Painter said. “Or did someone else quietly assume risk of that loan for the bank to make it happen?”

Fascinating question, isn't it?

"Trump, according to his latest financial disclosure statement, reported that he had 14 loans on 12 properties. One lender, Germany-based Deutsche Bank, continued to do business with Trump even after he defaulted in 2008 on a loan for his Chicago hotel and condo development. Trump filed suit against the bank and others whom he blamed for his inability to repay. But Deutsche Bank’s private banking division continued to lend to Trump, including $125 million to finance the purchase and renovation of his Doral golf resort in 2012, according to previous disclosures. Trump on Monday suggested that his debt load is hardly unusual in comparison with his assets, claiming in a tweet that he’s in fact “extremely under leveraged.” “I have very little debt compared to the value of assets,” he wrote, adding that he may release a financial statement that spells out all assets, properties and debts. Trump during an appearance Monday ignored a reporter’s question about when he might release such a statement, and the White House would not comment on when he might follow through. He said repeatedly before his election that he would release his actual taxes, but he never has. Kathleen Clark, a government ethics expert at Washington University in St. Louis, said that a separate financial statement from Trump would shed little light on his business dealings if he does not disclose who his business partners are in his various holdings. “The Trump Organization consists of hundreds of LLCs (limited liability corporations) that have been listed on his financial disclosure forms,” Clark said. “One of the things that Trump has benefited from and that oligarchs and money launderers benefit from is opaqueness of LLCs, ... the ease of which individuals can hide their assets, can hide their financial interests.”

Readers will recall from earlier editions of this publication and elsewhere:

"Trump refused to divest his business interests after his 2016 victory, and left day-to-day operation of his family’s real estate and other holdings to his sons Donald Jr. and Eric. Still, the president has benefited personally from U.S. and foreign government activity at his properties since his election and hasn’t shied away from promoting his hotels and golf courses. Republicans have held at least 88 political events at his properties, the president has visited his hotels and golf courses more than 500 times, and at least 13 foreign governments have held events at Trump establishments, according to a tally by CREW. The administration drew criticism last year when Vice President Mike Pence, while visiting Dublin for meetings, lodged at Trump International Golf Links and Hotel more than 180 miles away in Doonbeg, Ireland. And Trump scrapped a plan to hold a meeting of the Group of 7 world leaders at one of his Florida properties last year after bipartisan criticism."

Unbridled, out of control fear rules Trump at first presidential 'debate.'  NPR reports:

"President Trump ran roughshod over debate moderator Chris Wallace and his Democratic opponent Joe Biden — and crossed many lines in the process. This was maybe the worst presidential debate in American history. If this was supposed to be a boxing match, it instead turned into President Trump jumping on the ropes, refusing to come down, the referee trying to coax him off, and Joe Biden standing in the middle of the ring with his gloves on and a confused look on his face. Trump doesn't play by anyone's rules, even those he's agreed to beforehand. He's prided himself on that. But even by his standards, what Trump did Tuesday night crossed many lines. More than 200,000 Americans are dead from the coronavirus pandemic. And instead of a serious debate about the direction of the country, Trump sent it off the rails. Most charitably, both former Republican Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum and former Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who helped Trump prep for the debate, said he was "too hot." "I think the president overplayed his hand tonight," Santorum said on CNN."

An understatement.  Imagine being a Republican and watching your man make an absolute fool of himself.

"For part of the debate, Trump looked like he was controlling the stage. He interrupted constantly and tried to distract, deflect and interject. That's fairly typical Trump behavior, but a few things in particular were egregious."

Another understatement.

"When Biden, for example, was talking about his late son Beau's military service, Trump went in on Biden's other son, Hunter, and brought up his past cocaine use. It backfired. Biden, looking directly to the camera, turned something he rarely talks about into a positive, sympathetic moment. "My son, like a lot of people you know at home, he had a drug problem," Biden said. "He's overtaken it. He's fixed it. He's worked on it. And I'm proud of him."

Gets worse, much worse:

"Later, when Trump was asked to denounce white supremacists and militia groups — and specifically the far-right extremist group Proud Boys — he instead said this: "Proud Boys, stand back and stand by." And then he denounced left-wing groups. (Proud Boys is now using Trump's words as part of a new logo.) What's more, Trump would not urge his followers to remain peaceful as votes are counted, including if there are delays in reporting the results. "I'm urging my supporters to go into the polls and watch very carefully because that's what has to happen," Trump said, adding, "If it's a fair election, I am 100% on board. If I see tens of thousands of ballots being manipulated, I can't go along with that."

"This was not Biden's cleanest debate. He was not crisp, was often flummoxed — as was moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News — by Trump's antics. "Will you shut up, man?" said Biden while trying to make a point. He also called Trump a "clown" more than once. Biden missed some opportunities. For example, when Trump was talking about the role of masks in preventing the spread of the coronavirus, Biden could have interjected more forcefully to talk about Trump's largely maskless rallies. When Trump claimed his rallies caused no harm, Biden could have pointed out the spike in coronavirus cases after Trump's Tulsa, Okla., rally."

NBC News reports:

"President Donald Trump may be the only person in America who is afraid of Joe Biden. Before their debate Tuesday night, he and his allies demanded that Biden submit to a drug test and let officials check the former vice president for an earpiece."

Jesus Christ.  Give me a break.  LOL.

"During the action, Trump absurdly accused Biden of wanting to abolish the suburbs, "the cows" and the cops; declined to denounce white supremacists; and insisted that the election is going to be rigged against him. And after Trump aggressively failed to demonstrate presidential temperament — blustering, bullying and lying his way through the debate — his campaign manager, Bill Stepien, praised him for being in "control of the conversation."

Jesus Christ.  That's delusional.  Simply, not true.  The following is much closer to the truth:

"Trump's words and actions were those of a candidate who knows he is losing and has no idea how to fix the problem."

Precisely.  Sadly, tragically so.

The following is remarkably insightful:

"The irony is that Biden was deeply vulnerable: after decades of experience at the highest levels, he's still not a strong debater. He was noticeably apprehensive; he lacked the motivation and speed to brawl on stage; and he still didn't have good answers for a host of questions about his record and platform. But Trump couldn't or wouldn't stay focused on Biden's actual positions. Instead, he ran against a dark caricature of the former vice president while the real version was standing right there smiling."

Brilliant assessment.

NPR reports:

"President Trump claimed to have the backing of the "Portland sheriff" during Tuesday night's debate with Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. But the sheriff of that jurisdiction in Oregon immediately responded by saying that's not true."

Expect better of a congenital liar?

"As the Multnomah County Sheriff I have never supported Donald Trump and will never support him," said Mike Reese, in a tweet that was also shared by the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

In tonight’s presidential debate the President said the “Portland Sheriff” supports him. As the Multnomah County Sheriff I have never supported Donald Trump and will never support him.
    — Mike Reese (@SheriffReese) September 30, 2020"

Fascinating, isn't it?

"Trump made the claim as he reeled off a list of places where he said police support him. "Portland, the sheriff just came out today, and he said, I support President Trump. I don't think you have any law enforcement," he said to Biden. But Reese is not on record supporting President Trump, as NPR's Martin Kaste noted during live coverage of the debate. To the contrary, he is among the leaders in Portland and Oregon who have sharply disagreed with Trump's policy of using federal force in an attempt to overwhelm demonstrators. The sheriff later amplified his denial, stating, "Donald Trump has made my job a hell of a lot harder since he started talking about Portland, but I never thought he'd try to turn my wife against me!"

LOL.  Never a dull moment.  LOL.

"Trump has repeatedly clashed with local and state officials over how best to handle large protests in Portland against racial injustice and police brutality following the high-profile killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. Portland also figured in one of the most notable moments from Tuesday night's contentious and shambolic debate, in which the president refused to condemn white supremacists and urge militia groups to stand down. Instead, Trump referred to the Proud Boys — a group that recently held a rally in Portland and which has been labeled as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. "Proud Boys, stand back and stand by," the president said. "But I'll tell you what: Somebody's got to do something about antifa and the left. Because this is not a right-wing problem — this is a left-wing problem."

... Not according to his own FBI Director who claims antifa is an ideology, not an organized group.

Here's the truth the Trump nazi refuses to acknowledge:

"The Proud Boys group is "notorious in Portland for provoking violence and street brawls at political rallies," member station Oregon Public Broadcasting reports."

The Associated Press reports:

"President Donald Trump unleashed a torrent of fabrications and fear-mongering in a belligerent debate with Joe Biden, at one point claiming the U.S. death toll would have been 10 times higher under the Democrat because he wanted open borders in the pandemic. Biden preached no such thing. Trump barreled into the debate Tuesday night as unconstrained by the facts as at his rallies, but this time having his campaign opponent and even the Fox News moderator, Chris Wallace, calling him out in real time, or trying. Biden stumbled on the record at times as the angry words flew from both men on the Cleveland stage. In just one detour from reality, Trump asserted that the U.S. armed forces will be delivering hundreds of thousands of COVID-19 vaccine doses to the public as soon as a vaccine is available. The Pentagon says there is no such plan for national vaccine distribution by military personnel."

Report went on and on in great detail fact-checking Trump's false assertions.

In another article, The Associated Press reports:

"President Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden delivered conflicting messages targeting voters across the Midwest on Wednesday as the candidates, their allies and rank-and-file voters sought to move past the most chaotic presidential debate in memory. The Tuesday night affair raised fresh questions about Trump’s continued reluctance to condemn white supremacy, his efforts to undermine the legitimacy of the election and his unwillingness to respect debate ground rules his campaign had agreed to. Some Democrats called on Biden to skip the next two debates. Biden’s campaign confirmed he would participate in the subsequent meetings, however, as did Trump’s.

"The first of three scheduled debates between Trump and Biden deteriorated into bitter taunts and chaos the night before as the Republican president repeatedly interrupted his Democratic rival with angry — and personal — jabs that overshadowed any substantive discussion of the crises threatening the nation. Trump and Biden frequently talked over each other with Trump interrupting, nearly shouting, so often that Biden eventually snapped at him, “Will you shut up, man?” Trump repeatedly cast doubt on the integrity of the election and refused to say whether he would accept the results, calling on his supporters to scrutinize voting procedures at the polls — something that critics warned could easily cross into voter intimidation. Trump also refused to condemn white supremacists who have supported him, telling one such group known as Proud Boys to “stand back and stand by.”

Republicans clearly know they have a problem:

"On Capitol Hill, some Republicans struggled to defend Trump’s performance. “Wasn’t the Lincoln-Douglas debate was it?” Utah Sen. Mitt Romney quipped. The former Republican presidential nominee said Trump “of course” should have condemned white supremacists. “I think he misspoke,” said South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, the only Black Republican senator. “I think he should correct it. If he doesn’t correct it, I guess he didn’t misspeak.” Trump has not said he misspoke."

Jesus Christ.  Give me a break.  LOL.

"The president’s brash posture may have appealed to his most passionate supporters, but it was unclear whether the embattled incumbent helped expand his coalition or won over any persuadable voters, particularly white, educated women and independents who have been turned off in part by the same tone and tenor the president displayed on the debate stage. With just five weeks until Election Day and voting already underway in several key states, Biden holds a lead in national polls and in many battlegrounds. Polling has been remarkably stable for months, despite the historic crises that have battered the country this year, including the pandemic that has killed more than 200,000 Americans and a reckoning over race and police. While Biden distanced himself from some of the priorities of his party’s left wing — and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders — Tuesday night, there was no sign that he had turned off his party’s grass-roots activists. Digital director Rob Flaherty said Biden raised $3.8 million between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., his best hour of online fundraising The pro-Democratic fundraising group ActBlue’s donation ticker showed a surge of $12 million raised for Democratic candidates starting at around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night. “I don’t agree with everything Biden is saying, but this is in fact the most important election in the history of the United States,” Sanders said Wednesday on ABC’s “The View.” “It is terribly important that we defeat Trump, that we elect Biden and that we have the largest voter turnout in the history of the country.” Increasingly, the candidates have trained their attention on working-class voters in the Midwest, a group that helped give Trump his victory four years ago and will again play a critical role this fall."

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.  Forfeiture of liberty.  At the hands of outrageously corrupt and abusive government.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor?  Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.
