*************November 20, 2000*************
Ole' J.P. and the "Boys" on the Commissioners' Court do take care
of their own, don't they? Hear the latest? Lakeshore Librarian Verna
Dick has been promoted to Assistant Library Director. Ms. Dick has
apparently been rewarded for her steadfast support of Ole' J.P. and his
cronies. Amazing how a few bucks and a title can corrupt just about
anyone, isn't it?
Integrity? What the hell's that, right, Verna? Dian? Readers are
reminded Library Director Dian Ray, Assistant Director Verna Dick, and
the rest of the librarians have supported without question a new
Internet Use policy imposed by the Commissioners' Court that in effect
prohibits criticism of outrageously corrupt and abusive County
officials.
The County "Judge" and Commissioners' Court in collusion with an
unethical County Attorney have egregiously violated the First Amendment
to protect their own sorry asses. Sadly, the lackeys in the Library
System have willingly gone along with their corrupt and abusive
masters.
Bottom line? Free speech and the First Amendment have been pissed on by
Llano County employees securely attached to the taxpayer teat. Sadly,
par for the course in this corrupt and abusive hellhole. Most
pointedly, why should taxpayers be paying the salary of a "Library
Director" and now an "Assistant Director" when Ole' J.P. and the "Boys"
are micro-managing daily Library System operations?
Whatever happened to "character"? Think Ole' George has any? Why
would anyone want to steal an election? The Governor apparently does.
After all, why otherwise would he be so strongly opposed to an accurate
count of the vote? Don't the people deserve no less?
As repeatedly asserted, this writer is a political independent, and
did not vote for either Al "The Bore" Gore or George "The Tush" Bush.
Both in fact have repeatedly been targeted on this website. Gore
clearly, however, wants an accurate vote count. The Governor, does not
and could care less how he attains office.
This is the same man who crassly mimicked Carla Faye Tucker
immediately before her execution. This is the same man who neglected to
inform the electorate he had been arrested and convicted of drunken
driving 24 years ago. Worse, yet, he gutlessly and outrageously excused
his oversight, falsely asserting he was only trying to protect his
sister and daughters. Is that so, George? Sadly, only protecting your
own sorry ass, weren't you, sir? Had it been Gore, however, he would
have been skewered by Texans. Nothing quite like the double standard,
is there?
With the election as close as it was, a nationwide recount should
be conducted, -- regardless of the time and expense. We, the people,
are certainly entitled to a complete and accurate count. Especially,
since there were apparently widespread irregularities across the
country.
No matter how this is resolved, the new President will have no mandate,
no honeymoon, and certainly bitter opposition. With Gore well to the
Left and Bush to the Right, both are easy targets for pundits such as
this writer.
If the new President thinks he has problems with the electorate,
wait until he deals with a sharply divided Congress. Ole' George seems
to think he's the man to bring Democrats and Republicans together. Is
that right, Governor?
Think U.S. Senators and Representatives are remarkably similar to
the "Good Ole' Boys" here in Texas? Think again, sir. ... Otherwise,
you're going to get your ass kicked by experienced politicians not
quite as wet behind the ears as you, Governor.
As most fascists on the Right, Ole' George offers overly simplistic
analysis and solutions to enormously difficult problems. As most
socialists on the Left, Ole' Al foolishly thinks government can solve
all problems, -- provided enough money is squandered. Don't forget he's
the guy who "invented" the Internet, right?
Yet, our country remains unwilling to consider alternative independent
candidates. Interesting, isn't it? Most disturbing and galling of all
is the Aryan arrogance of the Governor insisting on proceeding with
establishment of a transition team, -- even though he has not yet won
the election. ... Wouldn't want to confuse Ole' George with the truth,
would we?
There is more open records stonewalling coming from LMHS. Ole'
Ernie is once again dragging his feet. While I had hoped to post a
considerable amount of additional material this edition, there just
wasn't the time, -- with the sale of my property and preparations for
moving taking priority.
The visitor count stands in excess of 39,500, --another excellent week
and true testament to the shameless willingness of the readership to
"steal" this writer's labor. Certainly, you ought to be proud of
yourselves. Nothing quite like "character", is there? Readers are
advised this writer receives no renumeration from the banner and pop-up
advertising. They only pay for the website itself. There is no personal
compensation, nor are there desperately needed funds for investigative
expenses. Non-profit and outrageously unfunded by the readership it
serves due to greed, gut-wrenching fear, and the continuing relentless
intimidation of corrupt and abusive Llano County officials, this
publication remains as always beholden to NO ONE.
