While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception. On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe. She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop. She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office. Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it. Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

"A manhunt is underway after an off-duty Wisconsin police officer was fatally shot while trying to stop an armed robbery at a bar, authorities said. Officer John Hetland, a 24-year veteran of the Racine Police Department, had worked the day-shift on Monday, Chief Arthel Howell said. The gun hasn't been found, the sheriff said. A local business has offered a $5,000 reward and the FBI has offered a $20,000 reward for the capture of the suspect, Beth said. "Officer Hetland was a trusted and highly respected member of the department, serving in various positions over the years, including an assignment as a field training officer, as well as a member of the Greater Racine FBI Gang Task Force," the chief said in a statement on Tuesday."

Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing. Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff? You're not fit for office, Bill. Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property? Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked. Has failed to produce it. Surveyors say otherwise. Back up Berardi. Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights. Why? Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

"At least 24 Memphis Police Department officers were injured during a large protest Wednesday night, Mayor Jim Strickland says. The violence erupted after officers of the U.S. Marshals Service shot and killed Brandon Webber, 20. The shooting occurred around 7 p.m. local time, as officers from the U.S. Marshals Service as part of the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force tried to take a man into custody. When the officers approached the man, law enforcement officials said, he was getting into his car in the Frayser community in northern Memphis, Tenn. That man was Webber, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, which is investigating the case. The agency says he was "wanted on multiple warrants." When the officers tried to stop Webber, "he reportedly rammed his vehicle into the officers' vehicles multiple times before exiting with a weapon," the TBI says. "The officers fired striking and killing the individual," according to the TBI."

So what else is new? Par for the course in a fascist police-state quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich. Circumstances and background issues were far more complex than the above. Far more.

"Residents began to gather in the street, looking for answers, reports local TV news Fox 13. Shelby County Commissioner Tami Sawyer was among the first officials to identify the slain man publicly. She also said the local community has a reason to distrust the police.

That's right. This shit continues unabated across our formerly great country. Will likely lead to the unthinkable, unwanted, dreaded, -- a second American revolution already catastrophically looming on this, and many, many other issues.

"No officers were injured" in that initial encounter, according to the TBI. But the fatal shooting touched off outrage in Frayser, a predominantly black area. The U.S. Marshals asked Memphis police for help, and officers who responded initially came to assist with traffic. As residents gathered in the street near where the shooting occurred, police formed a human wall. Officers repeatedly ordered people off the streets. Within hours, however, violence broke out and police deployed riot shields. The situation escalated as people in the crowd began throwing rocks and bricks at officers, according to Memphis police. Around 10 p.m. local time, police began using tear gas against the protesters, according to the Daily Memphian.

"Let me be clear — the aggression shown towards our officers and deputies tonight was unwarranted."

Wake up. The situation is far more complicated. Precisely, how an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution could spawn.

"After the shooting, a crowd gathered to protest. Some threw rocks and other objects at Memphis police officers, who had no role in the shooting of Webber but came to assist. Three people were arrested in the violence, police said. Around 25 officers among all agencies that responded were injured, Memphis Police Director Michael Rallings said. Most of the injuries were minor. “The officers did an enormous job tonight showing restraint in a very volatile situation,” Rallings said. Officers had to don protective gear as the crowd threw objects, and a “chemical agent” was used to disperse the crowd, according to Rallings. Six of the injured officers were taken to the hospital, and at least two journalists were also hurt, according to a statement from Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland. Police cars were vandalized and windows were broken at a fire station, according to the mayor. “Let me be clear — the aggression shown toward our officers and deputies tonight was unwarranted,” Strickland said in the statement."

Shelby County Commissioner Tami Sawyer said that about 300 people joined to protest the shooting. "Every life lost should matter ... every single one. How many times will this be ok? It cannot continue to be," she tweeted after going to Frayser in northern Memphis. The police chief recognized those in the community who attempted to defuse the situation. "I do want to commend individuals that did not decide to commit acts of violence toward the police officers, that showed restraint — I know that there were many individuals in the crowd that tried to assist in keeping everyone calm," Rallings said. "My message tonight is that, is we should all wait and make sure we know exactly what happened before we spread misinformation or we jump to conclusions," he said. He said the police department has been supportive of protests "but we will not allow any acts of violence, we will not allow destruction of property."

"The Phoenix Police Department has opened an investigation into how officers treated two shoplifting suspects, after a witness provided cellphone video showing one of the officers sweeping the leg of a handcuffed man as another points his gun at a car with two children inside. Police released the 10-minute video on Tuesday night when announcing the probe. "The Phoenix Police Department takes all allegations of misconduct seriously and for this reason, this incident is currently being investigated by the Professional Standards Bureau," Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said in a statement. The video, which was given to police on Tuesday and intentionally blurred for redaction purposes, shows officers taking an unidentified man and woman into custody while investigating a shoplifting incident. The suspects were stopped in their vehicle in a parking lot a short distance from the scene of the theft, police said."

"The footage begins with a man lying face-down on the pavement as an officer cuffs his hands behind his back. The man can be heard repeatedly telling the officer, "I'm not doing anything." The officer then yanks him up, slams him against a marked police vehicle and sweep-kicks his right leg out from under him."

"The officer can be heard yelling, "When I tell you to do something, you f-----g do it!"

"You're not complying with me," the officer shouts. "When I tell you to do something, you f-----g do it!"

"Meanwhile, another officer approaches the suspects' vehicle and opens the back door with his gun drawn. A woman then steps out of the vehicle with two young children. The officer holsters his weapon and talks with the woman, who has a baby on her hip with another small child standing next to her. Another woman, who appears to be a bystander, comes to take the kids as an officer handcuffs their mother. The children can be heard crying. Both the man and woman were detained but neither were arrested, according to Phoenix ABC affiliate KNXV."

"The officer who swept the man's leg was placed on a "non-enforcement assignment," while the other officer who drew his firearm remains on normal patrol, Sgt. Thompson told KNXV."

Both pieces of human excrement in blue should have been arrested and jailed by their fellow officers.

"A Phoenix couple is seeking $10 million from the city after a video showed police officers drawing a gun on them after their 4-year-old daughter allegedly stole a doll from a Family Dollar store. Dravon Ames and fiancee Iesha Harper told CNN they didn't notice when their daughter walked out with a Barbie from the store last month. They've filed a notice of claim against the city for $10 million, which serves as a precursor to a lawsuit. Soon after they left the store, Ames said the couple pulled into an apartment complex to drop their daughter off at a babysitter. Then an officer began banging against their window, yelling and threatening to kill them. "Our hands are up, we're just trying not to get shot, trying to stay calm," Ames said. "He had a gun drawn."

"Officer did not identify himself, family says. Ames said there were no sirens or lights to indicate that they were being pulled over beforehand and the officer who was pointing a gun at them did not immediately identify himself as an officer. The incident took place on May 29, the family said. Police said they were made aware of video on June 11. In the 12-minute blurred-out video posted on the department's Facebook page, one officer can be seen handcuffing Ames, first on the ground and then against a police car. The officer kicks Ames and can be heard yelling multiple times, "When I tell you to do something, you f****** do it."

"Another officer appears to be pulling a gun on the passenger side of the couple's vehicle before Harper exits the car, holding a small child, with a second child by her side. An officer is seen attempting to yank the child from her arms before a bystander offers to take her children."

"I really thought he was gonna shoot me in front of the kids," she told CNN by phone Friday. She chose to give her two children to a "complete stranger because I didn't trust the police to have her."

"During the video, officers can be heard telling her to get her hands up. The city has 60 days to respond to the notice of claim and the next step is filing a lawsuit, said Thomas Horne, the family's attorney. In his notice, he says the officers committed battery and unlawful imprisonment, among others, and both the police department and city are liable because of "inadequate policies, training, supervision."

Police wrote in an incident report that they feared the mother was "hiding something" or was reaching for a gun. (No weapons were recovered from the family.)

"In the parents' civil rights claim, they say when Harper exited the vehicle, officers injured her 1-year-old daughter by pulling on one of her arms when Harper would not follow an officer's order to hand over her baby. The filing from the family alleges that Ames was thrown against a vehicle and kicked so hard that he collapsed before a police officer "kept his knee between the father's legs. He punched the father very hard in the back for no reason," the parents' lawyer, Thomas Horne, wrote in the claim."

"Harper passed off her baby to a bystander before police handcuffed her and her fiancé and they were placed in a police patrol car. "I could have shot you in front of your f***ing kids," an officer said to her, according to the family's claim. Horne alleges that the incident violated the family's civil rights by committing battery, unlawfully imprisoning them and causing the parents and their kids emotional distress. The claim is seeking $10 million in damages. Since the incident happened, the family's 4-year-old has been experiencing nightmares and wetting the bed out of distress, according to the filing."

That woman throws the merchandise she had been holding at a display and walks out of the store. The little girl waits for two other adults and leaves the store with them, still holding the box. After the release of the store's surveillance footage, the couple's attorney, Thomas Horne, said nothing justifies the police response. "Whether it was a little bit of shoplifting or a little bit less of shoplifting, it doesn't justify what happened," Horne said."

"We're not treated with the same respect," Ames said. "They try to dehumanize us. We will never be the same. I keep on picturing guns pointed at me. I keep having flashbacks. ... It's clear to see everything in that video. It's just nasty. It's very sickening." Sandra Slaton, a lawyer who is working with Horne, also said nothing justifies the officers' actions. "Let's just assume, for the sake of argument -- which we do not assume, really; it's not the case -- let's just assume everything was true in the 16-page report," she said. "It still would not justify the horrific, barbaric action of this police department." Both the mayor and police Chief Jeri Williams have apologized for the officers' actions, with the chief saying the incident is not "representative of the majority" of Phoenix officers. Ames said the mayor's apology hasn't helped the family and the fact that the officers are still working is "just basically a slap in the face." Maupin said no one has personally apologized to the family. "You really ought to pick up the phone. The mayor knows our phone numbers. The police chief knows (our phone numbers)," he said. "They went on an apology tour. That's not being accepted locally or by any people around this country with a conscience that are demanding to see something of substance done in this city."

She also said that such use-of-force reports are paid by cities and "are by no means independent or unbiased." Blake was hired by Vallejo for up to $8,000 to review officers' use of force in McCoy's death. The Sacramento Police Department also hired him earlier this year in response to the officer-involved shooting of black man Stephon Clark in 2018. The two officers in the case were not charged in Clark's death following an investigation by Sacramento County prosecutors. Blake could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday."

"Authorities in Tennessee are reviewing all pending cases involving a Knox County Sheriff's Office detective after he gave a sermon at his church that called for the government to execute members of the LGBTQ community. "They are worthy of death," Grayson Fritts said in a June 2 sermon at All Scripture Baptist Church, a small church in Knoxville that he leads. The church posted the sermon online and then removed it, according to The Washington Post. The video was picked up by the Tennessee Holler, an independent liberal news outlet, and edited into a six-minute clip. "God has instilled the power of civil government to send the police in 2019 out to the LGBT freaks and arrest them and have a trial for them, and if they are convicted, then they are to be put to death," he said in the clip. Fritts said it would be easy to find people to arrest at events such as gay pride parades. "We have a bunch of them we're going to get convicted because they have all their pride junk on, and they're professing what they are, that they're a filthy animal," he said.

"Charme Allen, the Knox County district attorney general, issued a statement calling Fritts' comments "personally offensive and reprehensible. Allen said she would review all of Fritts' pending cases and an assistant district attorney will review any complaints about closed cases involving Fritts. "When any potential witness in a criminal proceeding expresses an opinion of hatred and/or bias towards a class of citizens, I am ethically bound to explore that witness' credibility," Allen said. Although my office has never received a complaint regarding Mr. Fritts prior to this incident, I have assigned an assistant district attorney to receive complaints regarding closed cases, and I will act on those complaints as justice dictates."

The victim, identified only by the initials “L.H.,” was working undercover to record and document criminal activity so that the St. Louis police could arrest individuals who were committing crimes. He “was compliant and not posing a physical threat to anyone,” according to court papers."

"A North Miami police officer who shot an unarmed caregiver of a man with severe autism in 2016 was found guilty of a misdemeanor Monday. Officer Jonathan Aledda was found not guilty on two felony counts of attempted manslaughter, but the jury found him guilty on one misdemeanor count of culpable negligence, according to Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle. Aledda shot behavioral therapist Charles Kinsey in the leg — even after the therapist laid down on the ground, threw his hands in the air and tried to explain to officers that he and the man he was caring for were unarmed. The state attorney said the guilty verdict showed that the shooting was not an accident, but a crime. "Since July 18, 2016, our community has been traumatized by North Miami Police Officer Jonathan Aledda’s shooting of mental health therapist Charles Kinsey. Tonight, a jury decided that the shooting was not an error or an accident but the crime of culpable negligence," Rundle said in a statement."

"Kinsey was assisting Arnaldo Rios-Soto, who had wandered from MacTown Panther Group Homes, when police responded to a 911 call about a suicidal man with a gun. Rios-Soto was unarmed but clutching a silver toy truck."

"The moments leading up to the shooting were captured on a cellphone video that went viral and sparked widespread outrage as an apparent example of excessive police force against an unarmed black man. Aledda, a then four-year member of the North Miami police force and a SWAT team member, said he thought Kinsey's life was in danger and was trying to shoot Rios-Soto but missed."

"He pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges, and his first trial was declared a mistrial in March after a jury found him not guilty of culpable negligence but remained hung on other counts.

"Kinsey, who said he was handcuffed and left on the road for 20 minutes until paramedics arrived, is suing the city. At least two officers who said they were demoted or fired after they criticized the response to the scene and a subsequent internal report on the shooting have also sued the city. The incident also led to calls for police to receive better training in dealing with people who have mental disabilities. "Arnaldo Rios Soto fled his group home in 2016 with a shiny silver toy truck. A passerby reported a possibly armed man, and police soon surrounded Soto and caretaker Charles Kinsey. Aledda then fired at Soto, striking Kinsey in the leg while he lay in the street in "surrender" pose and begged police not to shoot. Officers testified radio communication clarified the toy wasn't a gun."

"Aledda's initial trial was declared a mistrial. Kinsey is suing the city. At that first trial, Aledda testified he never heard another officer radio that the object was a toy and thought Rios was becoming aggressive. Prosecutors argued Aledda should have known Rios was holding a toy, not a weapon."

"Aledda was the first police officer since 1989 to be prosecuted in Miami-Dade for an on-duty shooting."

"It appeared he was screaming for mercy or for help or something. In my mind, the white male had a gun," Aledda testified on Monday, referring to Rios. "I couldn't hear what the black man was saying. In my mind, I thought he might get shot." Aledda was first tried in March, but jurors deadlocked on three of the four charges. He could spend up to a year behind bars for the misdemeanor count of culpable negligence, according to the Miami Herald. But since the charge is minor, Aledda may still be able to remain a police officer."

In the 30-second video, broadcast to 4,465 subscribers, Jeremy, 27, sits at a kitchen table as his mother narrates his mood. Then his arms seem to involuntarily twist around one another and he screams into his forearm before taking a bite of a banana. “Here’s to hoping and praying,” she says. Austin, 51, is a photographer in Lenexa, Kansas, and a mother of six, four of whom are adults with autism. According to her Facebook posts, she has tried almost every fad online “cure” for autism — a developmental disorder that has no known cure — including treatments for heavy metal poisoning, hormone therapies used in chemical castration and “natural” remedies such as cilantro and algae. For the last year, according to her social media posts and documents from a police investigation, Laurel Austin has been giving two of her adult sons, Jeremy and Joshua, chlorine dioxide. The Food and Drug Administration warns the solution amounts to industrial bleach, and doctors say it can cause irreparable harm when ingested, including damage to the digestive system and kidneys."

"Joshua, 28, is talkative and likes “The Simpsons” and playing retro Nintendo games, while Jeremy, 27, doesn’t speak and can go into rages during which he bites his arms, according to their father, Bradley Austin, who provided police investigation files to NBC News. Joshua and Jeremy live with Laurel Austin, who is their court-appointed guardian, charged with making medical and other decisions for them. Jeremy was living in a group home until his mother took him out to try chlorine dioxide, according to his father. Since January, when Bradley Austin learned that his ex-wife was using chlorine dioxide on their sons, he’s been trying to stop her. (He’s also exploring fighting for guardianship of his sons.) But the local police, the state’s division of adult protective services and a medical doctor treating Jeremy have all declined to intervene. A police spokesman said there wasn’t enough evidence that chlorine dioxide was dangerous; a caseworker with the Kansas Adult Protective Services told police that she didn’t see the situation as serious enough for the state to take action."

"A New York police officer killed himself Friday, marking the third officer to die by suicide since last week. The 29-year-old officer died outside a New York Police Department precinct on Staten Island, marking the third police suicide over the last nine days, NYPD Commissioner James O'Neill confirmed in a statement Friday. Authorities did not give information about the officer's identity. "This cannot be allowed to continue," O'Neill said in a statement. "Cops spend so much of their days assisting others. But before we can help the people we serve, it is imperative that we first help ourselves."

"O'Neill urged officers to speak to someone and seek help through department resources and called it "imperative" for colleagues to take care of each other. "Accepting help is never a sign of weakness — in fact, it's a sign of great strength," O'Neill said. "Please connect yourself or your friends and colleagues to the assistance that is so close by." Deputy Chief Steven Silks, 62, was just days away from retirement when he was found dead on June 5 in Queens. Silks served the department for nearly 39 years and was described as one of the "most capable and most dependable" cops in the department by O'Neill last week. "To the cops here today, I need you to know that help is available to you," O'Neill said. "Help is here, you are never alone. What seems unbearable today will be more manageable tomorrow."

"Brooklyn Detective Joseph Calabrese, 58, was reported missing the day after Silks' death after his car was found on the Belt Parkway in Sheepshead Bay. Calabrese was later found dead in Plumb Beach, NBC New York reported. Calabrese was a homicide detective in Brooklyn South and a 37-year veteran of the department. He also served as the chairman for the board of trustees for the Detectives’ Endowment Association, according to NBC New York. NYPD Chief of Department Terence Monahan released a video on Twitter where he called conversations about mental health "imperative" as law enforcement officers around the country struggle with suicide. Monahan acknowledged that some officers may fear that using department resources to discuss their mental health struggles may adversely affect their career. The chief encouraged those officers to speak to family or seek help externally instead. "You cannot internalize this, this is something that needs to be spoken about," Monahan said. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a statement Friday evening that his office was working with NYPD to put resources "front and center" for officers." Three brave members of our police force have taken their lives in recent days," de Blasio said. "All of them led lives that made their communities better. All of their lives had meaning."

"After much of the local police force showed up at Micah Schieber's high school graduation party ... the party got even better. The teen's father, a former Midland, Michigan police officer, died suddenly of an undetected heart condition while running the 2007 Chicago Marathon. When Micah asked his mother Sarah to invite the officers -- some of whom had worked with his father -- to his graduation open house, he told ABC News Michigan affiliate WJRT that “I just thought it’d be cool to have a piece of my family and my dad at my graduation, because that’s something I’ll always miss.” Midland Police Chief Cliff Block, who worked with Micah’s late father, Chad, the chief told WJRT that he had “no hesitation” about whether he'd make the party. “I knew we’d do something to make it happen,” he said. Micah couldn’t believe the turnout. “Car after car after car, I was dumbfounded,” he told WJRT. The officers also didn't forget to bring graduation gifts to present to Micah, including a trading card featuring his father, and $111 in cash, symbolizing his father’s badge number. Micah told WJRT that he is forever grateful. “I just want to thank them over and over and over,” he said. The teen was only 6 when his father passed away. “I wish I could remember him more and the person that he was,” Micah told."

After a day's worth of discussion and amendments, it did, voting 24 to 15 by the late afternoon on contempt for the Cabinet officials. Rep. "The Trump administration left behind a long paper trail as it pushed to get a citizenship question on the 2020 census. Many of those internal emails and memos became public as part of the lawsuits over the addition of the question, "Is this person a citizen of the United States?" They revealed that the Justice Department did not initiate the request for the question to better enforce the Voting Rights Act, as Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross — who oversees the Census Bureau — testified to Congress. Instead, Ross pressured Commerce staff to get the question added for reasons that a federal judge in Maryland has called "mysterious." Portions of the documents are blacked out with redactions by the Trump administration. Attorneys at the Justice Department, which is representing the administration in the lawsuits, cited privileges, including ones that prevent attorney-client communications and certain decision-making discussions between government officials from becoming public. "On the campaign trail, CBS News reported there are mixed feelings as to whether Biden's role in the hearing is still relevant, with many older voters saying it is time to move on."

Potter, now president of the Campaign Legal Center, said "the founders took steps to guard against such [interference] by including in our Constitution guardrails like the requirement that the president be a 'natural born citizen.'" Another guardrail was the emoluments clause, prohibiting any government officer from accepting a title or a gift from any foreign government. Both courts accepted the definition of emolument as "any profit, gain or advantage." The framers also feared that presidents or other executive officers might prove disloyal to the country and Constitution they were sworn to protect. Thus the impeachment clause, as originally written, singled out the crimes of treason and bribery as grounds for impeachment."

Think the Founders aren't spinning in their graves? Were certainly concerned at the time they formed this formerly great country that we would be able to keep it. Rightfully, so. History has, indeed, proven their misgivings more than justified.

"President Donald Trump said in an interview excerpt aired Wednesday that he might take help from a foreign government offering information on an opponent. Trump made the comment to ABC's George Stephanopoulos while discussing why his son, Donald Trump Jr., didn't go to the FBI after he spoke with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower during the 2016 presidential election. Trump Jr. spoke to Congress for three hours Wednesday to discuss answers he gave in an interview with the Senate Intelligence Committee in 2017, including those regarding emails leading up to the meeting that promised dirt on Hillary Clinton, Trump's Democratic opponent. The president told Stephanopoulos that "life doesn't work that way" when asked why his son didn't go to the FBI. Trump also said he would want to hear if another country had information on another candidate and called it "oppo research."

"It’s not an interference, they have information," Trump said. "I think I’d take it. If I thought there was something wrong, I’d go maybe to the FBI."

"Stephanopoulos then pointed out that FBI Director Christopher Wray said his agency should know about contacts from foreign governments. "The FBI director is wrong," Trump said."

"Trump was at the center of a two-year probe into Russian election meddling and possible obstruction conducted by special counsel Robert Mueller. The 448-page report, released in April, avoided making a decision on obstruction, but Mueller did conclude that there was Russian interference in the 2016 election. "There were multiple, systematic efforts to interfere in our election. That allegation deserves the attention of every American," Mueller said at a press conference in May. House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said Thursday in response to Trump's comments that the president "has either learned nothing from the last two years or picked up exactly the wrong lesson." "The message that he seems to be sending now is, as long as a foreign power wants to help his campaign, they can count on him having the good discretion not to alert his own FBI about it," Schiff said. "And that's just dangerous, appalling, unethical, unpatriotic, you name it."

"With his declared willingness to accept help from a foreign government in an election, President Trump upended long-held views that such outside assistance is anathema in American campaigns, both because of laws prohibiting foreign contributions and widely embraced norms of fair play. Trump blew through those notions this week, telling ABC News that if a foreign government offered him information on a political opponent, “I think I’d want to hear it.” “It’s not an interference; they have information — I think I’d take it,” he continued. “If I thought there was something wrong, I’d go maybe to the FBI, if I thought there was something wrong.” He added that his own FBI director, Christopher A. Wray, was “wrong” when he said during congressional testimony that campaign aides should always report offers of assistance from foreign entities to the bureau. Trump’s comments came less than two weeks after his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, said he wasn’t sure if he would report a future offer of foreign assistance to the FBI, calling questions regarding it “hypotheticals.”

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is holding her weekly press conference Thursday morning, as calls to open impeachment proceedings against President Trump intensify after he said in an interview Wednesday that he would accept election help from foreign actors."

"Pelosi told reporters that Mr. Trump's "cavalier" attitude towards foreign actors providing election dirt was an "assault on our democracy." "It's a very sad thing that he does not know right from wrong," Pelosi said. "It's so against any sense of decency." Pelosi also noted that while there is a law that prevents a campaign from accepting in-kind contributions from a foreign government, there needs to be more clarity on the subject. Pelosi said that the continued congressional investigations into Mr. Trump had "nothing to do with politics" and "everything to do with patriotism." However, Pelosi stopped short of saying that these comments would trigger opening an impeachment inquiry against Mr. Trump. "Everybody in the country should be totally appalled by what the president said last night. Totally appalled. But he has a habit of making appalling statements," Pelosi said. "Not any one issue is going to trigger, 'Oh now, we'll go to this,' because it's about investigating, it's about litigating."

"Republicans in the Senate have also condemned the president's comments. Sen. Lindsey Graham, one of Mr. Trump's closest allies in Congress, said that he thought the president's words were "a mistake."

"If a foreign government comes to you as a public official, and offers to help your campaign giving you anything of value, whether it be money or information on your opponent, the right answer is no," Graham said. "I think it's a mistake of law. I don't want to send a signal to encourage this."

"Of course you have to look at it," Mr. Trump told Fox & Friends in a phone interview Friday morning, adding, but "of course you give it to the FBI or report it to the attorney general." However, the president did not necessarily commit to reporting such contacts in all cases. "If I thought anything was incorrect or badly stated, I'd report to the FBI or law enforcement, absolutely," the president said."

"Mr. Trump has taken heat — including from Republicans — after seeming to welcome opposition research from foreign actors during an interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos. On Friday morning, the president claimed he thought he made it clear he would report damaging information to the FBI, even though he told Stephanopoulos that "maybe" he would report that to the FBI."

"Everybody understands that and I thought it was made clear," the president told Fox & Friends. But Mr. Trump insisted that "nobody's going to present me with anything bad" because he loves this country."

U.S. Central Command released video it claimed showed an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps patrol boat removing an unexploded mine from one of the tankers, the Kokuka Courageous. But on Friday morning, the owner of the 560-foot Courageous, said that sailors saw something flying toward the vessel just before the explosion and that the impact was well above the waterline."

"The place where the projectile landed was significantly higher than the water level, so we are absolutely sure that this wasn’t a torpedo. "Earlier this week, House Armed Services Committee Chairman Adam Smith (D-Wash.) promised members a full House vote to prevent “an unconstitutional war in Iran” — even if Democrats go it alone. House leaders also are planning a measure that would restrain the president’s emergency powers on arms sales."

"Should either chamber work those amendments into the defense bill, that will be part of the negotiations between the House and Senate over the final product. But in the past, negotiations have taken months — and time is potentially of the essence."

"Dr. Ayaz Virji was a Muslim living in small-town, white America. He had left a good job in a leadership position at a successful hospital in Harrisburg, Penn., in order to practice medicine in a rural, underserved area."

"Virji says he "had the BMWs, the nice house, but it wasn't enough for me, I wanted to do more." Rural America faces a shortage of doctors, with many residents forgoing care and saying locations are too far away. "So I felt like I should do something about that. And it was back to the idea: If not me, then who?" he says. He moved with his family to Dawson, Minn., in 2014. As far as he knew, they were the only Muslims in town. Virji describes the small city — population 1,500 or so — as filled with "very gracious" people who welcomed the family to the community. "People there are kind, you know, many of them are far better than I am as a person."

"But something seemed to change when Donald Trump started whipping crowds into a frenzy with anti-Muslim rhetoric. For Virji, the 2016 election was a turning point. He wondered how his neighbors, who had been so welcoming, could vote for someone who said that "Islam hates us" and had proposed a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States." Mandy France, who was training to be a local pastor at the time, invited Virji to give a lecture about his faith. He ended up giving a series of talks about Islam to his neighbors and people in surrounding communities in 2017. Virji wrote about the experience in the book Love Thy Neighbor: A Muslim Doctor's Struggle for Home in Rural America. He talked with NPR's Michel Martin.

"I'd say that the biggest thing that I remember that bothered me the most, and probably still does, is that when we decided to do the lecture, when I decided, listen, I'm going to put aside my own anger. I said, listen, we're going to do something good and put these lectures on — that people in my own community protested. They said that a Muslim shouldn't be allowed to speak out publicly. How can you say [that]? You know me. I'm the town doctor, and I know you guys as patients. And if that [sentiment] was here now, then it must have been there before. It was just waiting for the opportunity to surface. ...So when [Mandy] first came to me I was myself not that interested because I was really angry about what had happened. That my own neighbors and friends voted for the guy who wants me on a registry and who wants to ban Muslims. You know, what did I do? I don't hate anybody. I didn't have to actually be here in rural America to begin with."

"We gave the first talk and it was interesting. A lot of support; also some backlash. Hate mail and things that came after that as well. But what happened then was Mandy and I started bringing the talk to other communities. And many times it was wonderful and people were very supportive. There were other times ... I remember one guy called me the Antichrist. "It doesn't matter what you do, you're the Antichrist." And OK. I tried to reason with him but it didn't work. But we just kept going."

"I think the idea is the message applies to people or these groups or minorities in general, but we have our own token, you know, minority who is different. And I remember going and visiting a patient in the hospital one day. I was just talking to the nurse and just made a comment, you know, "politics are so divisive these days." And she overheard that. I'm here at the bedside taking care of her, she just had an appendectomy, and she said, "Well you know why we have to get rid of these people from North Africa? What religion are they?" And she said, "Well they're Muslims. We have to get rid of them." I said, "Well, do you know that I'm a Muslim?" Then her jaw hits the ground and says, "Well I hope you know I don't see you that way." I said, "Well you should see me that way. I don't try to hide it." And then she's struggling with what to say and then she says, "Well, it's OK because you were born here. You weren't born over there." I stopped the conversation, but I wanted to say, "No. I was born in Africa. That's where I was born, in Kenya. I was not born here." But of course we diverted the conversation, this was not the right place to have it. But I think that people will look at me as maybe not even in that group and say, "Oh well, he's different. That doesn't apply to him."

"I think we opened the narrative to change and that's what we did it for. If there were some people on the fence who just didn't know because they were scared, then we were able to say, "Listen, this message, love thy neighbor, is for all of us. It's a message of inclusion." And if you look at all of the major world religions, they all have the virtues of love and kindness and compassion and justice at their core. And the deeper dive you take into somebody else's religion or value system the more you see your own. And I think that the amount of people who have come to us and said, "Listen, you really opened my eyes," has made an impact. At least I hope."

If we don't finally wake up, this country will be no more. ... At least, not as we knew it.

"I don't see it as leaving. Actually, I still practice in Dawson and I practice now between Abu Dhabi and Dawson. We decided to make this change at the end of the day because it was a very good opportunity and also for us to reconnect with family. So my family lives in Dubai overseas. But if people ask me, what do you call home, I'll still say Dawson. I still consider that my home. ... I would say that the Trump phenomenon made the decision easier. I suppose it wasn't the only aspect of it, but I can't tell you that it didn't have an effect."

"By a 7-2 vote, the court reaffirmed its 100-year-old rule declaring that state governments and the federal government may each prosecute a person separately for the same crime, without violating the Constitution's double jeopardy clause. Dissenting were the court's leading liberal justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and one of its most conservative justices, Neil Gorsuch."

Interesting, isn't it? At some point, the Court will finally get it right. Clearly, not yet.

"Racial gerrymandering case thrown out with a mix of liberals, conservatives

"Spurning pleas from Virginia Republicans, the court let stand decisions by lower courts finding that 11 state house districts were racially gerrymandered in violation of the Constitution. The Supreme Court said the Republican-dominated state House had no legal standing to appeal to the Supreme Court on its own when the state senate and the state attorney general had decided against appealing. Justice Ginsburg wrote the opinion for the 5-to-4 majority. She was joined by conservative Justices Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas, and liberal Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan. Dissenting were conservative Justices Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, and Chief Justice John Roberts, as well as liberal justice Stephen Breyer."

"The court upheld Virginia's ban on Uranium mining. By a 6-to-3 vote, the justices said that the state law was not superseded by the federal Atomic Energy Act (AEA). Writing for the court majority, Justice Gorsuch said the AEA gives the federal government the authority to regulate nuclear safety, but not the authority to regulate mining itself. Fellow conservatives Thomas and Kavanaugh joined the Gorsuch opinion in full, but liberal Justices Ginsburg, Sotomayor, and Kagan agreed only with his bottom line. They refused to sign on to Gorsuch's broad language about matters that they said "sweep well beyond the confines of this case." Dissenting were Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Breyer and Alito."

"The only classic conservative-liberal split on Monday came in a case testing whether a private corporation that runs a public access TV channel in New York City is a public forum that, like a public park, cannot discriminate against speakers. The court, by a 5-to-4 vote, concluded that the public access channel here was owned by Time Warner, not by the city. And because it was privately owned, the channel could not be sued for refusing to air a movie. Justice Kavanaugh wrote the decision for the five conservative justices, declaring that "[M]erely hosting speech by others is not a traditional, exclusive public function." Welcome. Liberty In Peril has been relaunched at a new URL:
libertyinperil.com. This is a new commercial site hosted in an overseas
country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers. Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible. -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle. No more bullsh-t. Criminal complaints will be
prepared and filed against Amanda Wright, Lynn Massey, and the equally
criminal bastards in the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for
egregious deceptive trade practices.

Email notification of local businesses of these practices, has and will,
continue unabated until Wells Fargo accepts responsibility, ceases these
practices, and finally makes it right. During the last several weeks
after the ftp servers were hacked, a blizzard of these emails was sent to
local businesses to keep intense pressure on the criminal bastards at
Wells Fargo. Copies of these emails were sent to bank officials. They
have been posted in this publication. ... We're already up to Salvo 74, --
and counting.

In addition, all new Newsletter Editions will feature an
available abbreviated version, smart phone friendly, that can be accessed
by clicking on the icon. Will supplement the regular format of this
publication. This is being done because so many of you access this
publication with smart phones and other devices with small screens.

This site has finally been fully uploaded. All links appear to be
properly working. Typos in the rush to get material up have also been
corrected. There will be a few additional changes to be made as time
allows. Including, again, a smart phone-friendly abbreviated version of
each future Newsletter Edition starting with v434 that will be available
in addition to the regular edition.

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this
publication, that is exposure of corrupt, abusive, inept, clueless
government lackeys beholden to their corporate masters, rather than
dealing with recalcitrant webhosts. We'll see. With the
libertyinperil.com domain, however, any necessary changes in webhosts will
be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated. Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys. The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further
exposure in this publication. Should you have information regarding this

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere. Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX. A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright. She has, indeed, been promoted branch manager. Reverse Darwinism. Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. -- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it? Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however. Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags. Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up. Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity. On a rampage. Thus, you get what you truly deserve. Always. Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate. -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area. Ten years after originally intending to do so. Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues. Another reason for this publication name change. Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed. Can't be ignored. That's where you come in dear readers. Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up. Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day. These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem. No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked. It's time to stand up. Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight. Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb. From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain. Wake up. Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen. After all, you're bought and paid for. Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters. The corporate management suite. Your employers. Think not? Wake up. You're human chattel. Corporate-owned, bought and paid for. Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor. Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision. To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day. You have no control of your lives. You're owned. Forget? For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits. At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys. Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit. To line County coffers. Keep the peasants in line and under control. A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril. Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority. Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are. Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication? Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country. Insult to injury? There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway. No matter the effort. No matter the research. No matter the proof. Wake up. This writer cannot do it alone. Snowball's chance in hell. Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded. Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy. Literally.

Cannot do it alone. Impossible. Not sustainable. This publication needs your financial and material support. Both. Time to step up.

Click herefor a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.

Publication of this material, however, should in no way be interpreted as endorsement of Ballard's opponent, Steve Lange, in the upcoming runoff. It is not. It is provided as a public service to expose the 'judge' for exactly whom and what she is.
