Brother dearest.  ... Been awhile, hasn't it, Bro?  A little antsy?  Wondering when the next shoe is about to fall, that is, when you'll be fully exposed for the thieving son of a bitch you truly are?  Patience.  All in good time, good buddy.  When I'm damned good and ready.  Timing just right.  After all, a son of a bitch who's stolen his father's estate needs to be fully exposed publicly for whom and what he is, don't you think?  Indeed, a public service for your neighbors, professional associates, family, and friends, etc..

Conveniently, forget?  Others need to protect themselves against a fraud who masquerades as both a teacher and a counselor, no?  -- How the hell did you ever pass an MMPI some forty years ago to get hired?  You're not stable.  Have not been.  ... Must have really been pissed off at the old man to rip off an estate, no?  How much did you steal while he was alive and supposedly under your care?

How much did you bribe law enforcement to ignore a complaint I filed with them years before the old man died?  How much did you bribe the prosecutor to ignore a complaint filed with her several years ago?  How much?  Use the old man's money to bribe the bitch?  Her cohorts?  Your law enforcement shysters?  While there may indeed be no justice from a corrupt system, fortunately, I do have a way to publicly expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.

... Unlike our grandmother who scrubbed floors on her hands and knees during the Depression for peanuts, only to have what little she had stolen by her son, our uncle, another goddamned thieving son of a bitch just like you.  Remember how, surprise, surprise, there was no life insurance when our grandfather died?  Despite the fact our grandmother gave her thieving bastard son premium money year after goddamned year?  Only, as the thieving son of a bitch he truly was, to have pocketed it.  Again, just like you.

Remember when he booted her out of the house she had bought him when he had had enough of her?  -- Despite the fact he had lied and promised she could stay the rest of her life?  She had to climb two flights of stairs on an ulcerated leg to get to a bathroom he had never built for her at ground level as falsely promised.   Nothing ever happened to the thieving son of a bitch as far as justice was concerned.  Worse, he was never exposed publicly for the thieving son of a bitch he truly was.

Will be different for you, Bro.  While you've bought off authorities, you will be publicly exposed.  In great detail.  In good time.  When I'm damned good and ready.  When exposure will do the maximum figurative damage to your goddamned sordid reputation.  -- Just the truth, brother dearest, however.  Just the truth.

Irony of ironies?  When the thieving son of a bitch died, and our mother was finally informed he had passed, she cried for her brother, -- the bastard thief who stole from her mother.  Sad, isn't it?  Too bad she's not still alive to see you publicly exposed for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you, yourself, truly are.  As was he.  Not in a court of law you've bought off, however.  Right here.

In good time.  Again, when I'm damned good and ready.  Employing the very same tactics used against Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo.  -- On steroids, however, since all dirty family laundry will be aired.  All of it.  No threat.  A promise.  Emails sent to your neighbors, friends, professional associates, businesses you deal with.  Although an enormous amount of work, all doable courtesy of the Internet.  Despite being some 1,800 miles away.  -- Small world, isn't it, Bro?  Enjoy the stolen loot, you son of a bitch.  Forget?  It's all you have.

Brother dearest.  Save all the check stubs from the old man's accounts?  Fraudulently sign any of them yourself?  Think this material couldn't be obtained from the banks either through discovery or a criminal investigation?  Still own the house on Condict Rd.?   Any other properties besides this one and the old man's you stole with the help of your shyster bastard? Be interesting to see how far your assets extend and where.  Think all that information isn't accessible?  That I won't determinedly obtain it?

That not only an extensive Internet search will be conducted that will likely take months to complete?  But an extensive background check as well?  Think the Catholic high school you attended shouldn't be informed of the thievery of one of its graduates?  Think the clerics there would be appalled at their failure to teach you right from wrong?  How about both universities?  Think neighbors in the old man's neighborhood won't be informed of your deception?  Think they don't have a right to know?

Ever follow the advice of Dr. Bert Wiser, psychological statistics professor at MSU?  That is, get treatment for your achingly debilitating instability?  Is that why you wound up looting the old man?  Or, is it simply a convenient excuse you'll use to defend the indefensible?  Think this will end any time soon?  That is, public exposure of you as a thieving son of a bitch?  We're just getting started, Bro.  Just getting started.

Don't like it?  Tough shit.  Sue me you thieving son of a bitch.  Would use discovery to learn and post on this website all there is to know about you, your activities, predilections, business 'deals,' as well as all your financial transactions, etc..  All of it.  Would certainly avoid the expense of an extensive background check on you, thieving brother dearest.

Even if you were successful in court, there is nothing for you to take, this remains, as well, a homesteading state where minimal assets are protected anyway.  This site is hosted in an overseas country that doesn't particularly like government intrusion, remains not prone to cooperate.  Besides, can always upload to another webhost in still yet another country.  The possibilities are endless, Bro.  Just takes willingness, effort, unshakable determination.

Even if I lost it all would be more than worth it to expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.  Even if you bribed a goddamned nazi 'judge' to remove posted material, would not cooperate and be more than willing to rot in jail.  Would certainly keep reposting it all no matter the cost and/or personal consequences every time it was taken down.  Forget, you thieving son of a bitch?  I never ever give up.

Since all I seek is your exposure for the thief you truly are, would all be worth it.  For the sake of principle.  All the work, financial cost, as well as the time I am about to dedicate to this effort, you deceptive, unstable, sick, thieving son of a bitch.  Unlike you, I live on principle and have absolutely nothing to lose.  You do.  Will certainly take great pleasure and satisfaction in doing all I can to publicly expose you for whom and what you are.

To say nothing of placing enormous pressure on prosecutors you and your equally corrupt shyster son of a bitch apparently bribed.  Don't like it?  Again, tough shit. Chew harder.  The public needs to know to protect itself.  From you and your shyster bastard.  People who live and travel in your circles as well.  Including his.  As a thief, you and he can't be trusted by anyone.  You'll determinedly f--k them.

More than willing to provide this truly public service.  People certainly need to know whom and what you are.  What you have sadly become.  You certainly weren't brought up to be a thieving son of a bitch.  What happened?  Where did you lose yourself, Bro?  -- Never mind.  ... Truly doesn't matter.  Only your exposure.

TC 4-22-16

Hey, Bro?  Remember me?  How soon they conveniently forget.  ... Half asleep? -- Out to lunch?  ... In your own perverse little world?  That of a criminal?  Wake up.  Conveniently, gutlessly forget?  Insanely believe you're someway, somehow off the hook?  Think again.  We're not done.  You remain a thief who will be exposed for whom and what your are.  What you certainly have become.  No question about that.  Patience, you thieving son of a bitch.  Exposure is coming.  Promise.

Think I don't have time?  Truly believe the ongoing Presidential fiasco ends no matter who wins?  The murderous decay in law enforcement gets resolved any time soon?  Criminal Wells Fargo employees from local Kingsland bank manager Amanda S. Wright right up to and including CEO John Stumpf get prosecuted in the near future despite egregious criminal activity?  Wouldn't hold my breath, would you?

Think I don't have time to handle all this and your public exposure for the estate-stealing criminal son of a bitch you've truly become?  How could you steal from the old bastard, you incredibly sad sack of shit?  Certainly weren't brought up to be a thief.  What happened to you?  Where'd you lose yourself?

No question, 2017 will be a most remarkable, defining year for you, Bro.  Public exposure for the thieving piece of shit you've sadly become.  It's on the way. Promise.  Hope you sue.  Nothing for you to take.  Tough, isn't it?  Certainly, makes me judgment proof.  Will certainly, as well, take advantage of discovery.  Publish every detail I can get my hands on.  No matter the consequences.  Only consideration?  Prime directive?  Your exposure for whom and what you are.

Readers?  This not-so-brotherly piece of shit stole from our father.  Manipulated the old man to line his pockets.  Just like our uncle on my mother's side of the family did to my grandmother.  Runs in the family.  Our family.   ... Right, Bro?  This game now gets played my way, -- not yours, you son of a bitch.  That is, no more U.S. Mail tag.

Anything sent by mail will be refused, returned unopened.  Want contact?  Email.  libertyinperil@riseup.net.  Quick.  Easy.  Better yet?  A digital record.  Permanent.  Easily accessible.  Easily uploaded to this site when and if it becomes necessary.  The shyster bastard you hired to steal the estate shouldn't expect escape, either, from public exposure as the thieving piece of shit he, like you, truly both are.  Unscrupulous thieves.

Sincerely hope that piece of crap sues as well.  Nothing to take.  Discovery again would be published no matter the personal cost.  Nothing quite like public exposure, is there?  Especially, when it is nothing but the truth and there is absolutely nothing to lose exposing two pieces of criminal shit for whom and what they are.  Two pieces of gutless human excrement who looted an old man.  ... Right, Bro?

There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers.  Glaring sunlight.  Dazzling brilliance.  Amazing how the roaches run for cover.  Equally pointedly, how vermin on two legs manage to so easily prey on the elderly courtesy of the out of control fascist police-state we now live in.  While there'll never be any justice vis a vis this theft, there will be exposure to the brilliant light of day for both criminal perpetrators.  Count on it, you not-so-brotherly criminal son of a bitch.

TC 10-7-16

Hey, Bro?  Hear of Old Sturbridge Village?  Haven't?  ... Not lying, are you, you thieving son of a bitch?  You and your long-term companion EC conspire, bequeath some of the old man's loot to this museum?  An achingly stingy gift of $250-$499, -- considering the size of the estate?  The CEO and Board have any idea you stole it?  Think they'd care?  -- Just getting started, dearest, dearest Bro.  ... Delusionally believe I haven't more than enough time, resources, determination to expose you for the thieving piece of crap you truly are?  ... Under $500 back in 2013?  Remarkably parsimonious with stolen money aren't you?   What does it feel like to have gutlessly ripped off an incompetent old man?  -- Dear old Dad.  Certainly, look forward to digging much deeper into how you and your shyster lawyer managed to bamboozle and loot the old bastard.  Back in the day, certainly wouldn't have fallen for your bullshit.  Would have kicked your worthless, thieving ass out the door.  Intend to expose it to the light of day.  Indeed, a public service. Seatbelts on, you thieving son of a bitch. Tally ho!

TC 3-24-17

... Brief aside, dear readers, for a most exceptional reason.  -- Although infrequent, pressing ongoing personal business must come first on rare occasion.  Hope you agree, moreover, find it entertaining, -- as this writer did crafting what follows.  Principle trumps all.  Remains prime mover, prime directive no matter what.

This pressing issue involves a family thief. A heartless predator preying on the elderly who must be held accountable, exposed to the light of day.  Especially, since authorities failed to do their job.  The following is part of that continuing effort to expose this piece of shit for whom and what he is:

Hey, Bro?  Guess what?  Me, again.  Most determined pain in the ass.  Miss me?  An inconvenient, nagging hemorrhoid that simply won't go away no matter what.  -- A pile with a smile that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

... Delusionally think this most persistent nemesis of yours conveniently disappeared to parts unknown, vanished in thin air? To give a turd a break?  Wake up.  Not a chance, you thieving son of a bitch.  ... When you insanely believe this writer's gone and you're finally in the clear, guess what, here I am, right in your face.

Despite what's going on across our formerly great country, always have more than enough time for personal business.  That is, exposing you, Bro, to the glaring light of day.  A pathetically greedy predator.  Your target, who else, the elderly.  Most defenseless, vulnerable, an easy fleece.  -- Thought you'd steal from the surly old curmudgeon with impunity, no consequences?

Successfully escape accountability? Avoid detection, all responsibility?  Blatant theft of an old man's estate?  A little help from a bought and paid for hopelessly greedy unprincipled shyster?  Supposed cake walk due to 1800 miles separation?  No one to hold you accountable?  Your feet to the fire?  What could you possibly been thinking?

You've read this publication before.  Know precisely who and what I am, what I do.  Never give up.  Never say die.  Ignore all obstacles.  Know full well Liberty In Peril modus operandi remains as relentlessly ferocious, blindingly intense as ever.

No punches pulled.  No slack.  No personal consideration.  Certainly, not for a gutless son of a bitch, no more than a thieving predator.  Looted target, guess who, dear old dad.  Pitiful.  Delusionally believe you had the booty coming?  An entitlement?  For having had to put up with his shit all those years?  Wake up.

Hear of Historic Deerfield?  Of course, you have, you lying son of a bitch.  Forget?  You're one of their not-so-generous 'benefactors.'  ... With all the money stolen from our father's estate, only bequeath them a piss poor $40 bucks?

Unbelievable.  An achingly tight, cheap, thieving, worthless piece of duplicitous crap.  ... Write-off?  Negligible.  ... Feather in the cap? How?  Delusionally believe your treachery would never see the light of day? What planet do you live on?

Board of Trustees Chair Anne K. Groves know full well you looted the estate?  How about President Philip Zea?  Think both don't have a right to know?  How about Anne Lanning, Vice President For Museum Affairs?  To say nothing of Susan Martinelli, Vice President For Business Affairs?

These officials are entitled to know precisely whom they're doing business with.  A thief.  Gutless phony.  Blow-hard fraud.  Hoity-toity dandy.  Worse?  An unprincipled thief who stole from his father.  ... Glaring light of day sucks, doesn't it, Bro?  No escaping the unvarnished truth, this most bitter reality.  Not a chance.

Saddest of all?  Back in the day, Hell would have frozen over before anyone would have have been able to rip off the craggy old bastard.  Remember quite well how intent, determined he was not to be fleeced late in life by a sick son of a bitch like you.

A leech.  Ironic, isn't it?  Gutless rip off of an old man who couldn't adequately handle his affairs any longer.  How do you sleep nights?

Fraud runs in the family, clearly.  History repeating itself.  Right in the footsteps of our grandmother's son, who callously ripped off his mother decades ago.  Again, another achingly pathetic piece of human excrement.  Just like you.  Intend to lay it bare.  Methodically.  Painstakingly. In great detail.  Living, breathing color.

For all to see.  A public service.  Exposure of the criminal piece of human excrement you truly are.  For sustained public review.  A goddamned thief.  Pissed? Chagrined?  Nonplused?  Tough shit.  Sue.  Would certainly immediately post all discovery no matter the consequences.

All snail mail will be returned unopened.  No phone tag.  Got something to say? Email.  Say it right here.  On this website.  In public.  For the world to see.  Will be posted in its entirety.  No editing.  Unlike you, this writer doesn't lie, cheat, steal.  Honors his word.  Intend to expose you precisely for whom and what you are.

Duplicitous predator who preyed on his own father.  Blinding exposure to benefit the community.  Have nothing to lose providing this public service, but you do.  No better disinfectant than sunshine.

.. Think the old bastard not spinning in his grave?  -- Old lady not doing the same?  One thing for certain.  Neither brought you up to be a goddamned thief.  Yet, here we are.  ... Until next time, Tally Ho!

TC 7-14-17

While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception.  On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system.  Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe.  She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop.  She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office.  Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it.  Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this?  Think this hasn't happened to others?

Uncommon Valor.  Had the following been available, would have been included in last week's edition of this publication.  NPR reports:

"A new exhibit near the site of the D-Day invasion in Normandy, France, highlights the contributions of female service members and spies."

Did so at great personal cost, tremendous sacrifice.  Women who got caught by the Nazis were tortured and killed.

"SCOTT SIMON, HOST:

This week, we've been hearing many tributes to the men, the boys who fought and sacrificed on D-Day 75 years ago. But as NPR's Eleanor Beardsley reports, women also played a crucial role in the invasion as spies and resistance fighters.

ELEANOR BEARDSLEY, BYLINE: Nine days before D-Day, 20-year-old British spy Sonya d'Artois parachuted into Normandy. She spoke fluent French and had done four practice jumps. In a 2002 documentary, d'Artois said she knew the risk.

(SOUNDBITE OF DOCUMENTARY)

SONYA D'ARTOIS: We always did hear the rumors. So-and-so jumped in two days ago, and he was shot upon landing. And we'd hear it. We weren't supposed to, but we would.

BEARDSLEY: D'Artois was a courier and explosives expert working for the special operations executive or SOE. Winston Churchill created the spy agency to infiltrate the continent and set Europe ablaze. By 1944, some 3,000 women were with the SOE, many behind enemy lines working with the French resistance to blow up bridges and rail lines."

JENNIFER RYAN: The German troops that were all amassed around the Calais area - none of them could go and help out at Normandy."

Certainly, reduced the number of casualties during the invasion.  Uncommon Valor.  Incredible courage.

"RYAN: There were more and more women being sent out because it was actually realized that they were really very good at blending in. They were good at recruiting local people for French resistance work, to be couriers, etc. They were very good at running safe houses. They made very good wireless operators.

BEARDSLEY: Historian Ellen Hampton, author of a book called "Women Of Valor," says French female resistance fighters were key in getting downed Allied pilots out of France.

ELLEN HAMPTON: They had to move these British men who were, you know, 10-feet-tall, and they smoke their cigarettes differently. And they jingled change in their pockets, which French people never did. And so they had to disguise them as their boyfriends or their cousins or something and get them to the train station, on the train. And the women were absolutely key to that.

BEARDSLEY: 1962 classic "The Longest Day" portrays one of these women, resistance fighter Louise Boitard, who exfiltrated 68 Allied pilots. Here she is in a 1962 French TV interview.

BEARDSLEY: Boitard says she was often very scared, especially once when she had four pilots to get out, and then someone brought three more to her house. Women like Boitard risked torture or deportation if caught. Author Jennifer Ryan says their punishments were often harsher than men's. As most were civilians, female spies were not covered by the Geneva Convention.

At Juno Beach in Normandy, where the Canadians landed on D-Day, there's an exhibit called "Great Women During The War." Nathalie Worthington is the curator. She stands in front of a photo of Sonya d'Artois, the 20-year-old who parachuted in ahead of D-Day. She was married to a Canadian spy.

NATHALIE WORTHINGTON: Just after the war, she went to live in Montreal, and they had six children. And you never heard about her again. She used to say that she got from mixing explosives to mixing milk bottles."

Uncommon Valor.  The carnage would have been far worse had it not been for these exceptionally courageous women.

The following would have been posted last week had it been available.  Seatbelts on. The Washington Times reports:

"World War II veteran KT Robbins recently traveled to Europe for ceremonies commemorating D-Day when reporters gave him a surprise — his French sweetheart was alive and well and waiting for him. “For sure I won’t ever get to see her,” Mr. Robbins, an American veteran, told reporters while on his way to the 75th anniversary proceedings. “She’s alive — and she’s waiting for you,” a French journalist replied in a BBC interview published Tuesday."

Three-quarters of a century.

“No kidding,” the veteran, who was stationed in Briey in 1944, responded while trying to maintain his composure. “Joe, can you believe that!” BBC’s piece then shows Mr. Robbins meeting up with Jeannine Pierson née Ganaye at a retirement home. The two, both widowed, met when she was 18 years old. “I’ve always thought of him, thinking ‘maybe he’ll come.’ I always asked. Always,” Ms. Ganaye said. “When he left in the truck, I cried of course. I was very sad. I wish that after the war, he hadn’t returned to America. Why did he stay over there for so long? Why did he not come back sooner? I wish he had come back.” The two hope to meet again, BBC reported."

The following email exchange with the corporate management suite of Iview US, regarding a highly defective Win 10 two-in-one tablet, is posted as a public service.  This complete document can be found by clicking here.

... Hey, Sheriff?  Is it true Llano County Attorney Becky Lange has advised you to stay out of the "Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764" fiasco?  That right, Bill?  Isn't that obstruction of justice?  Also true your deputies have advised the Bolens to accept the status quo and not force the no-trespassing issue with Greene?  If so, isn't that also obstruction and official oppression?  When will you do your job, Bill?  As an elected official, you answer to the public, forget?  -- No honor?  ... No honor at all? If the foregoing allegations are indeed true, didn't you swear an oath to uphold the law and Constitution?  Why aren't you doing so?  No guts?

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority.  What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint?  Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation?  The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise.  Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints.  Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it?  Failed to do their jobs.  No surprise there, right, Bill?  Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene?  Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County.  Bottom line?  Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation.  Conveniently, forget?  This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.  Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Tim Chorney, Publisher
Liberty In Peril

Some salient quotes occurring later on in this edition vis a vis unfinished business County officials continue to ignore:

... "Can certainly understand their chagrin.  Not only kids are traumatized by an out of control jackbooted bastard, however.  Example after example, week after week in this publication and elsewhere are certainly demonstrative.

Sadly, the achingly clueless bastards in law enforcement don't need a legitimate reason to kill.  Enjoy carte blanche to murder on the job.  Nearly always, with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Sue the living shit out of the jackbooted motherf--ker, the department, and the city.  Any officer engaged in, or threatening this kind of unnecessary violence needs to be criminally prosecuted.  Not protected and coddled.  Not put on paid leave, -- no more than a paid vacation.

Firing is egregiously insufficient.  How can the law enforcement community be trusted?  No foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than the criminal jackbooted bastards in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Madam County Attorney?  "Sonny Boy?"

These are extremely dangerous times for our formerly great country.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  -- As our legislators and other government officials figuratively 'fiddle while Rome burns.'

Not good enough.  Nowhere near.  Short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, only one way for these atrocities to end.  Time for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate such cases.  Total independence.

Local  and state authorities are egregiously incapable of handling these cases. Tend to protect their own.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Goes with the territory, doesn't it, Bill?  Precisely, why there is no faith or trust in your criminal jackbooted bastards.  Local authorities here in Nazi Llano County have their heads figuratively, securely lodged so far up their clueless ass their eyeballs are turning inside out.  Protect and coddle your clueless, out of control officers.  Imagine that.

Unadulterated, blatant ongoing horse shit.  ... Right, Bill?  F--k these jackbooted bastards.  Aren't worth a crap.  Continually abrogate their oaths of office to protect and defend the United States Constitution.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Includes not only deputies, but the brass as well.  No principles.  No honor.  Lying, conniving, abusive, murderous jackbooted thieving thugs.  The American Civil Liberties Union needs to step up and represent the victims of abusive law enforcement.

To say nothing of innocent civilians all across our formerly great country who are victimized by abusive police.  Need far better representation than a public defender.  Forget?  It's how the bastards in government line government coffers.  All too often, looting the innocent.  Those on the bottom of the food chain.  ... Right, Sheriff?

No justice.  The American Way.  Nazi America.  When is this shit finally going to end?  All of it.  Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  One hundred sixty four weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.

Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.  Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.?  List can go on and on.  Protecting its own no matter what it does or doesn't do? Convenient, isn't it, Sheriff?  Again, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element presents a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all branches and levels of government, -- including law enforcement.

Corruption within law enforcement remains an existential threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  So what else is new?  ... Right, Bill?  Same old duplicitous, aggressively stupid shit occurs right here in Nazi Llano County.  ... Doesn't it, Sheriff?

Think it'll change any time soon?  Don't hold your breath, readers.  Not how things work in Nazi America, right, Sheriff?  Highly reminiscent of how your goons operate though, isn't it, Bill?  Forget?  'Stupid is as stupid does.'  F--ked up is f--ked up no matter where, no matter how.  Problem throughout all law enforcement.

Including right here in Nazi Llano County, right, Sheriff?  Too many officers clearly have their heads securely lodged where the sun seldom shines.  Egregious insanity continues to be perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Ongoing issue.  All over our formerly great country.

Not just in Dallas as in the Guyger case, but all over the nation.  No end to it.  Surprised? Why?  In today's increasingly national socialist climate anything goes, right, Bill?  Live in a de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  Certainly, a problem here in Nazi Llano County, isn't it, Sheriff? Your goons, however, aren't held accountable when they egregiously f--k up. Ever.

Precisely why you refuse to release information on your deputies to the long-suffering public?  That is, employment history, criminal background, results of drug testing, etc..  ... Got to protect your criminal jackbooted thugs preying on the citizenry with virtual impunity, right, sir?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to a Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.  Why are you protecting this clueless son of a bitch, Sheriff?

Why hasn't he been prosecuted for official oppression?  Where is financial compensation for the damage this jackbooted piece of human excrement is responsible for? Ferociously pointedly, why are the District Attorney and the County Attorney continuing to protect this jackbooted piece of shit?  He and others like him present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Equally to the point, why are your jackbooted pieces of human excrement refusing to enforce Berardi's property rights?  Your goons have failed to take action against Theresa Ahrens when she tore down a no trespassing sign and barrier on Berardi's property.  Have you, your goons, and/or Madam County Attorney been bribed by Johnny Greene?

Ahrens frequently drives all the way through Berardi's property.  Coup de grace?  When Berardi complained to Llano County Deputy Idle about the trespassing, the officer's response was insane.  Said the Sheriff told him to tell Berardi since Ahrens believes she owns his property she can't be charged with trespassing.  Perfect Catch-22, right, Sheriff?  You're not fit for office, Bill.  Bribed by Johnny Greene?

Why is Theresa Ahrens allowed by your goons to dictate what vehicles can and cannot be parked on Berardi's property?  Ahrens claims she has proof the property belongs to her where the vehicle was parked.  Has failed to produce it.  Surveyors say otherwise.  Back up Berardi.  Yet, your jackbooted bastards refuse to enforce Berardi's property rights.  Why?  Somebody lining somebody's pockets, Sheriff?

Ms. Ahrens micro-mini portable 'house' is parked on an unused unmarked Llano County road.  Imagine that.  Madam County Attorney well-aware.  Has done nothing.  Shit squat.  Egregiously ignored her oath of office.  Someone bribing you, Becky?  Lining your pockets, Counselor?  Paying you not to sell the unused unmarked County road to Berardi?  Doesn't the County want and need the sale money, to say nothing of the resultant tax income?

No question, County and State agencies remain determinedly, concertedly, achingly incapable of criminal investigation of their own.  Precisely, why a new federal agency desperately needs to be created whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, prosecute corrupt, abusive, criminal officers, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose sole function would be to adjudicate only such cases.  Total independence.  Certainly, go a long, long way to cleaning up this cess pool County.  Rein in the outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept, self-serving assholes who run and own this hell hole.

Sheriff, you falsely claim the Kingsland County Commissioner has the authority to resolve this ongoing property rights issue.  Clearly, doesn't.  You, Madam County Attorney, and "Sonny Boy" are certainly an egregious impediment, continue to determinedly stonewall.  Someone's pockets are being lined.  Again, where's financial compensation for the damage Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 is directly responsible for to the Pace Arrow?  Why hasn't he been prosecuted for this damage, to say nothing of infringement of Berardi's property rights?  -- Just getting started, Sheriff.  Far more to come.

-- You're not doing your jobs, Sheriff.  You've got a loose vicious dog problem in Kingsland, Bill.  When will you and the troops finally do something about this ongoing issue?  Certainly, a recurring problem on Skyline, particularly on occasion at the intersection of Odessa.  Pedestrians, runners, and cyclists are at risk.  Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?"

... Small sampling of what's to come in this edition.  Read on.

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

The enclosed emails were sent to the Llano County Attorney and Sheriff, respectively, vis a vis the above matter.  Remain unanswered.  The County Attorney appears to be protecting and defending the deputy at behest of Kingsland property owner Johnny Greene.  May have received some consideration from Greene up to and including a bribe.  Are the County Attorney, Greene, and the Deputy under criminal investigation?  If not, why not?

Re:  Berardi Property Rights Denial-Damage To Pace Arrow-Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764

Counselor:

As you're well aware, we have an outrageously corrupt, abusive, achingly inept Llano County Sheriff's Office here in Nazi Llano County.  Worse, you and your office aid and abet these SS jackbooted bastards in black.  The issue at the moment is the same it's been the last six months.

How is it two surveyor companies, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, even the goddamned Sheriff himself now states Kingsland resident James Berardi owns the lots in contention all these months?

Yet, you ludicrously assert that's not the County's legal position.  It's not?  Why not?  You claim you're not a real estate expert.  Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, the Tax Office, and even the Sheriff himself, you've inexplicably chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked.  Could you have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe?  Only way to know for sure is for the District Attorney to conduct a criminal investigation.  Apparently, there has been none.  If not, why not?

Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner?  To say nothing of consequent resultant physical damage done to a motor home on that property.

Our achingly useless, worthless, gutless Sheriff has ignored an email vis a vis the damage this jackbooted thug is responsible for.  Interestingly, his fellow officers believe him to be an idiot.  Yet, the Sheriff continued to defend this piece of human excrement until he realized  this entire fiasco would not be swept under the carpet.

Rodriguez is indeed an idiot.  Would you believe this piece of crap ordered the motor home to be moved on to an unmarked unused Llano County road? That motor home has indeed been moved back to where it was parked before Rodriguez forced it to be moved.  Why hasn't the County paid for the cost of moving it back?  To say nothing of the damage.

Equally pointedly, why is it the County has allowed Theresa Ahrens to park and live in her tiny cottage on that very same road?  Why hasn't she been evicted by the County?  Why was she assessed taxes on an adjacent improvement she doesn't own?

Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens?  Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery?  Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue.  For what?  Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

How about Bolen who hasn't a pot to piss in, but was nonetheless f--ked over by Greene to say nothing of an egregiously inept County, to say nothing of you and your goddamned equally incompetent office?

None of this is going away, Counselor, -- any time soon.  Will not be swept under the carpet as all the other crap going on in this hell hole County.  Not a chance.  Expect a full expose in this publication whether or not this outrageous fiasco finally gets resolved.  Including full public exposure of both the Sheriff and his jackbooted thug.

Who are they, Sheriff?  Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information?  One hundred sixty four weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  One hundred sixty four weeks.   Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be yours courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity.  That has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you boys not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded.  An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Forget? Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness. When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election? If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

Have any information, knowledge of, experience with a purportedly non-profit volunteer clean-up group called Looking Forward In Llano County affiliated with the Llano County Attorney's Office?  Email this publication at libertyinperil@protonmail.com to provide information and/or arrange a meeting to discuss this matter.  If requested, your identity will be protected.  The question is quite simple.  Is this group what it claims to be and on the level?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

Never ends.  ABC News reports:

"Philadelphia authorities are investigating claims of racial bias levied by the Plain View Project, a social justice research organization that claims to have uncovered more than 300 racist and/or biased social media posts by the city’s police officers."

Couldn't be, could it?  The jackbooted bastards in blue aren't racists, are they?

"Researchers with the Plain View Project said they examined more than 3,100 posts and comments on Facebook allegedly authored by current and retired officers of the Philadelphia Police Department. The analysis revealed that at least 328 active-duty officers posted troubling content, including posts that celebrated acts of violence against Muslims, immigrants and black people accused of committing crimes. Some posts captured long, hate-filled exchanges that appeared to involve multiple officers, according to the database. The organization, founded by Philadelphia-based lawyer Emily Baker-White, said it analyzed the Facebook accounts of thousands of police officers across eight U.S. cities, including New York, Pennsylvania, Dallas, St. Louis and Phoenix. "We found a very high and concerning number of posts that appear to endorse, celebrate or glorify violence and vigilantism," Baker-White told ABC News in an interview on Tuesday. "We included posts that we thought could affect public trust and policing."

This is a cancer that eats away at whatever little faith and trust remains in law enforcement.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"A Philadelphia Police Department spokesperson confirmed that it had opened an internal investigation into the claims, which the project said highlights rampant police bias. The spokesperson declined to offer any details about the Internal Affairs Bureau’s findings thus far but pointed to the department’s social media policy, which prohibits the use of ethnic slurs, profanity and personal insults."

While that policy certainly needs to be in effect universally, does nothing to prevent police from acting on their racial bias, bigotry, blatant racism.

"Local news outlets, including The Philadelphia Inquirer, attributed some of the posts to high-ranking members of the department, including a police inspector, six captains and eight lieutenants."

These problems are nearly always top-down.  Precisely, why they're so difficult to combat.

"When asked about the department’s investigation, Baker-White said she hopes it leads to a cultural change within the city. "There is a sort of self-reinforcement within this community of police officers where these guys sort of hype each other up," she said, referring to the minority of officers who actually decide to keep their Facebook accounts public. "One officer may post something that’s biased, dehumanizing or violent and other officers will chime in and ramp up the dialogue, which makes it worse."

'Monkey see, monkey do.'  Lack of professionalism throughout all law enforcement, --stunning.  ... Right, Sheriff?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

No longer.

Equal justice.  What's that?  ABC News reports:

"Former Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor was sentenced on Friday to 12 and a half years behind bars for the fatal 2017 shooting of Australian bride-to-be Justine Ruszczyk Damond. The July 15, 2017, shooting occurred after Ruszczyk Damond called 911 to report a possible sexual assault in an alley behind her home. When police arrived, Ruszczyk Damond approached the driver's side of the squad car, and Noor, who was in the passenger's seat, shot her through the open window on the driver's side, prosecutors said. In April Noor was convicted of third-degree murder and manslaughter. He was found not guilty second-degree murder."

Twelve and a half years for third-degree murder and manslaughter?  That justice?  Think so?  Kill a cop even in self-defense?  Called capital murder.  Get executed in a death penalty state.  In those that have no death penalty, get life with no chance of parole.  No equal treatment.  No equal justice.  Remorse is no excuse, no grounds for forgiveness when a civilian kills.  Why should it be for a cop?  Get this:

"Speaking in court before the sentence was read, Noor said that he had felt "fear" as he pulled the trigger. But when he saw Ruszczyk Damond on the ground, "I knew in an instant that I was wrong." "I caused this tragedy and it is my burden," he said. "I wish though that I could relieve that burden others feel from the loss that I caused. I cannot and that is a troubling reality for me. I will think about Ms. Ruszczyk and her family forever. The only thing I can do is try to live my life in a good way going forward." But the court also heard from multiple people who said that Ruszczyk Damond's death had altered their lives forever. Don Damond, Ruszczyk Damond's fiancé, said in an emotional victim impact statement that the day of her death was "the last time I felt a sense of happiness, a sense of trust and that everything could be OK." "How do I sum up the pain, the trauma, of these last 23 months... How can I provide the court the impact of a lost future? What would have potentially been 30 to 40 years filled with love, with family, with joy, with laughter," he said."

That's the real, perpetual, ongoing tragedy.  Endless impact.  Needless loss of the love of his life.  -- Exceptionally profound loss to family, friends, loved ones, those in the community who knew her.

"Damond's son, Zach Damond, who was 22 at the time of the shooting, said his stepmother-to-be "cared for me and loved me unconditionally." "We were meant to be a family for life," he told the court. "I now come home to sit with my dad, and a piece of us is missing."

"John Ruszczyk, Ruszczyk Damond's father, requested that Noor be given the maximum sentence, and said, "I've lost her love, her joy and her laughter."

As reported in this publication and elsewhere repeatedly, none of this adds up.  None of it makes sense.

"Noor, a two-year veteran at the time of the shooting, had pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. Prosecutors argued that the former officer had abused his authority to use deadly force and that here was no evidence of a threat when Noor fired. Noor's lawyers maintained at trial that Noor "acted as he has been trained" and that he should never have been charged with a crime. "The narrative behind this tragedy really began long before the events that occurred in that alley," Noor's defense attorney, Thomas Plunkett, said on Friday. "Ms. Ruszczyk was doing her civic duty, she didn't deserve this." But he said that the fear that exists between police and members of the public was behind what happened that night."

Appalling, galling bullshit.  Exceptionally so.  Unfounded.  Police are out of control.  Not held accountable for their crimes, abuse of power.  Determinedly embrace a gutless 'shoot first, ask questions later' mentality.  List can go on and on, -- as exemplified in this publication week after week.

Coup de grace?  Height of folly?  Most ludicrous 'excuse' of all time?  Get this:

"A prison sentence only punishes Mr. Noor for a culture that he didn't create," Plunkett said."

Jesus Christ.  Wake up, Counselor.  The fault lies solely in this gutless officer who murdered an innocent, unarmed woman who was only trying to do her civic duty.  -- A gutless jackbooted son of a bitch who apparently panicked.  The following is precisely why nothing ever changes:

"Dozens of letters in support for Noor were filed by the defense."

The public is aggressively stupid, determinedly out of touch with reality.  Exactly, why history keeps needlessly repeating itself.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

No longer.

The Fourth and Fifth Amendments have been so determinedly bastardized by the judiciary and law enforcement, they've become effectively meaningless.  The following case is highly demonstrative of this quite intentional, egregious abrogation of these constitutional rights.  Compounding this issue and worse is the aggressive stupidity of the criminal element.  To say nothing of the mindless overzealousness of the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  -- Who, for the most part, couldn't care less whether those they arrest are guilty or innocent.  Only that someone, anyone, gets nailed.  NBC News reports:

"William Montanez is used to getting stopped by the police in Tampa, Florida, for small-time traffic and marijuana violations; it’s happened more than a dozen times. When they pulled him over last June, he didn’t try to hide his pot, telling officers, "Yeah, I smoke it, there's a joint in the center console, you gonna arrest me for that?"

Impossible to feel sympathy, empathy for anyone who repeatedly, brazenly engages in criminal activity.  No matter how minor that activity happens to be.

"They did arrest him, not only for the marijuana but also for two small bottles they believed contained THC oil — a felony — and for having a firearm while committing that felony (they found a handgun in the glove box). Then things got testy. As they confiscated his two iPhones, a text message popped up on the locked screen of one of them: “OMG, did they find it?” The officers demanded his passcodes, warning him they’d get warrants to search the cellphones. Montanez suspected that police were trying to fish for evidence of illegal activity. He also didn’t want them seeing more personal things, including intimate pictures of his girlfriend. So he refused, and was locked up on the drug and firearms charges."

Precisely, what the bastards were doing.  Conducting a fishing expedition.

"Five days later, after Montanez was bailed out of jail, a deputy from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office tracked him down, handed him the warrants and demanded the phone passcodes. Again, Montanez refused. Prosecutors went to a judge, who ordered him locked up again for contempt of court. “I felt like they were violating me. They can’t do that,” Montanez, 25, recalled recently. "F--- y’all. I ain’t done nothing wrong. They wanted to get in the phone for what?”

The bastards did it because they can.  People don't know the law.  Remain egregiously unaware of their constitutional rights.  ... Or, remain hopelessly, gutlessly afraid of the jackbooted bastards.  This empowers these goddamned thugs.

"He paid a steep price, spending 44 days behind bars before the THC and gun charges were dropped, the contempt order got tossed and he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor pot charge. And yet he regrets nothing, because he now sees his defiance as taking a stand against the abuse of his rights."

Indeed.  No question.  Stood tall.  To be commended for doing so.  Especially, since most people gutlessly capitulate to these jackbooted assholes.  On the other hand, what the f--k is he doing smoking pot in the vehicle and committing traffic violations?  Egregious aggressive stupidity that clearly, counter productively, enables these jackbooted assholes. Empowers them.

“The world should know that what they’re doing out here is crazy,” Montanez said. The police never got into his phones."

Excellent.  Had no legitimate reason doing so.  No probable cause.  No more than a fishing expedition.  What these jackbooted bastards are doing is egregiously violating their oaths of office to uphold the United States Constitution.

"While few would choose jail, Montanez’s decision reflects a growing resistance to law enforcement’s power to peer into Americans’ digital lives. The main portals into that activity are cellphones, which are protected from prying eyes by encryption, with passcodes the only way in."

Everything needs to be encrypted.  Everything.  Called privacy.  Make it as difficult as possible for these bastards to invade that privacy.  Make it as costly and time consuming as possible.  When an enormous amount of money, time, and effort are fruitlessly expended by these jackbooted assholes and nothing criminal is found, will certainly discourage this bullshit.

"As police now routinely seek access to people’s cellphones, privacy advocates see a dangerous erosion of Americans’ rights, with courts scrambling to keep up."

Only solution is resistance.  Not only that, leave nothing of value on the phone to ensure privacy should they break in.

"While courts have determined that police need a warrant to search a cellphone, the question of whether police can force someone to share a passcode is far from settled, with no laws on the books and a confusing patchwork of differing judicial decisions. Last month, the Indiana Supreme Court heard arguments on the issue. The state supreme courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey are considering similar cases."

The Fifth Amendment clearly states you have the right not to incriminate yourself.  Why isn't that more than sufficient?  Why have the courts and law enforcement been allowed and enabled to bastardize and eviscerate this right?

"As this legal battle unfolds, police keep pursuing new ways of breaking into cellphones if the owners don’t cooperate — or are enlisting help from technology firms that can do it for them. This has put them at odds with cellphone makers, all of whom continually update their products to make them harder for hackers or anyone else to break into. But the hacking techniques are imperfect and expensive, and not all law enforcement agencies have them. That is why officials say compelling suspects to unlock their cellphones is essential to police work. Making the tactic more difficult, they say, would tilt justice in favor of criminals."

It's already outrageously tilted in favor of the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  Precisely, why so many innocent people are unjustly convicted of, or take a plea bargain for a crime they did not commit.  Why there are so many forced false confessions, planting of contraband by officers to line government coffers.  With impunity.  List can go on and on.  The problem has gotten so bad there is, effectively, no justice any longer in our formerly great country.  Certainly, hopelessly bastardized.

“It would have an extreme chilling effect on our ability to thoroughly investigate and bring many, many cases, including violent offenses,” said Hillar Moore, the district attorney in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who got the FBI’s help in breaking into a cellphone belonging to a suspect in a deadly Louisiana State University fraternity hazing ritual. “It would basically shut the door.”

Jesus Christ.  Above galling, disingenuous bullshit coming from a prosecutor in a state that has the well-earned reputation of egregiously engaging in kangaroo justice.

"In the part of Florida where Montanez lives, authorities are guided by a case involving an upskirt photo. A young mother shopping at a Target store in Sarasota in July 2014 noticed a man taking a picture of her with his phone while crouching on the floor. She confronted him. He fled. Two days later, police arrested Aaron Stahl and charged him with video voyeurism. Authorities got a search warrant for Stahl’s iPhone, but he wouldn’t give them the passcode, citing his Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate himself. A trial judge ruled in his favor, but a state appellate court reversed the decision in December 2016, saying Stahl had to provide the code. Facing the possibility of getting convicted at trial and sentenced to prison, Stahl agreed to plead no contest in exchange for probation. While Stahl did not provide the passcode in the end, prosecutors still rely on the precedent established by the appellate ruling to compel others to turn over their passcodes under the threat of jail."

This is deliberate, determined evisceration of the right not to self-incriminate.  Precisely, how prosecutors and law enforcement intentionally continue to bastardize the Fifth Amendment.  Effects not only those who are guilty of a crime, however, but the innocent as well since their privacy is unjustly abrogated for no legitimate reason.  No probable cause.  A fishing expedition.  Prosecutors should have simply taken the case to court.  Let a jury decide based on the victim's testimony and that of any other witnesses.

Worse?  Far worse? This effectively abrogates the Fifth Amendment right not to self-incriminate as intended by the Founders to keep government under control.  To maintain a democratic republic.  Prevent a dictatorship.  -- One reason of many why an increasing majority of the public has no faith or trust in the system.  Nor should they.  Government has become hopelessly corrupt, abusive, self-serving, effectively run and owned by the top of the food chain.

“Up until that point you could be a pedophile or a child pornogropher and carry around the fruits of your crime in front of law enforcement officers, prosecutors and judges and taunt them with fact that they couldn’t get the passcode,” said Cynthia Meiners, who prosecuted Stahl at the 12th Judicial Circuit State’s Attorney’s Office. “You could say, ‘I’m a child pornographer and it’s on my phone but I’m not giving you my passcode because I would be incriminating myself.’”

Bogus argument.  Disingenuous bullshit.  Phony as a three dollar bill.  Hyperbolic horse shit perpetrated by a goddamned prosecutor who knows better.  Disingenuous distortion of reality to ensure a conviction.  Guilt or innocence?  Matters not.  Only, a conviction.  Conveniently, forget?  Officers get incriminating evidence from many, many other sources including witnesses, parents, the victim, etc..  Access to cell phone data is not necessary to convict.  Good policing, including a healthy work ethic, certainly are.  Police want the easy way out.  Don't want to do the work, make the effort.  An ongoing problem.  Increasingly intractable issue.

"In Indiana, police officials are trying to force a woman to share her passcode as they investigate her for harassment, saying she was making it impossible for them to obtain key evidence. The woman’s lawyer says authorities haven’t said what evidence they think is in the phone, raising concerns about a limitless search."

That's the issue.  Ongoing problem.  Police are on a fishing expedition.  Need to thoroughly investigate the claims made by those who claim she harassed them.  Get those complaining to corroborate their claims with evidence such as an audio or video recording, evidence from their cellphone, etc..  There are always ways around this problem.  Clearly, police don't want to do the extra work.  Demand the accused conveniently self-incriminate.  Not how things work in a democratic republic supposedly under the United States Constitution.

"Her appeals reached the state Supreme Court, whose ruling could influence similar cases around the country. Attorneys general in eight other states filed a brief in support of the police, warning against a ruling that “drastically alters the balance of power between investigators and criminals.”

Forget?  The jackbooted bastards already enjoy nearly unlimited power.  Unchecked.  Carte blanche.  Do as they please, usually with impunity.  ... Right, Sheriff?  The problem with all this is the fact the innocent get consequently denied their right to be left the hell alone, not have their privacy invaded, not be subject to harassment, false arrest, planted evidence, etc..  Worse, violence perpetrated by the out of control jackbooted bastards in blue.

Bottom line here is exceptionally simple.  As reported in this publication week after week,  year after year, and elsewhere, law enforcement remains hopelessly corrupt, abusive, egregiously out of control.  Determinedly, hopelessly, out of touch.  An increasing number of the citizenry are beginning to understand this.  Certainly, one of the goals of this publication is to expose this shit for precisely what it is.  The public is finally beginning to wake up.  Far, far more needs to be done, however.

"The stakes are similar in New Jersey, where a sheriff’s deputy accused of tipping off drug dealers to police activities has refused to hand over passcodes to his iPhones. The state Supreme Court agreed in May to hear the case. These clashes aren’t limited to the use of passcodes. Police have also tried to force people to open phones through biometrics, such as thumbprints or facial recognition. Legal experts see the Fifth Amendment argument against self-incrimination as more of a stretch in those cases. The law has generally been interpreted as protecting data that someone possesses — including the contents of their mind, such as passcodes — but not necessarily their physical traits, such as thumbprints. Still, some judges have refused to sign warrants seeking permission to force someone to unlock their phone using their face or finger."

Amounts to no more than self-incrimination, direct violation of the Fifth Amendment, -- which has already been determinedly, concertedly, egregiously bastardized by the courts and law enforcement.  Starting generations ago with fingerprints, to say nothing of forced blood draws, blowing into Breathalyzers, saliva DNA swabs, etc..  All result in self-incrimination.  ... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming on these, and many, many other issues.

"The rules on compelled decryption are more lenient at the U.S. border, where federal agents have given themselves wide authority to search the phones of people entering the country - and have reportedly spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on third-party hacking tools."

These jackbooted bastards are the worst of the worst.  Have authority 100 miles from the border.

"In Tampa, Florida, where Montanez was arrested last year, judges still rely on the 2016 ruling against Stahl by the Second District Court of Appeals. That is what prosecutors cited when they tried to force Montanez to give up his passcodes. But Montanez’s lawyer, Patrick Leduc, argued that, unlike Stahl’s case, police had no reason to search the phone, because it had no connection to the offenses he was charged with. The “OMG, did they find it?” text message — which turned out to be from Montanez’s mother, who owned the car and the gun in the glove box — was meaningless, Leduc said. He warned of a police “fishing expedition” in which authorities could search for anything potentially incriminating on his phone. While sitting in lockup for contempt, Montanez’s resolve not to give up his passcodes hardened. “What they were doing to me was illegal and I wasn’t going to give them their business like that,” he said. “They told me I got the key to my freedom,” he added. “But I was like, ‘F--- that.’”

Goddamned right.  If you fail to stand up to great evil, great evil wins.  If you fail to stand up to abusive authority, what does that make you?

"But the experience shook him. “I ain’t the toughest guy in the world, but I can protect myself. But it was crazy,” he said. “Bad food, fights here and there, people trying to take your food.”

In Nazi America, our jails and prisons are gulags.  Courtesy of the yellow-bellied 'law and order' Nazi Right.

"At the same time, the drugs and gun case against Montanez was crumbling. Laboratory tests on the suspected THC oil came back negative, voiding that felony charge and the gun charge related to it. That left prosecutors with only minor pot charges. But he remained in jail on the contempt charge while his lawyer and prosecutors negotiated a plea deal. In August 2018, after Montanez had spent more than five weeks in jail for refusing to provide the passcode, an appellate court dismissed the contempt case on a technicality. The court invited prosecutors to try again, but by then the passcode’s value had diminished. Instead, prosecutors allowed Montanez to plead no contest to misdemeanor drug charges and he was freed. When he was released, Montanez carried a notoriety that made him feel unwelcome in his own neighborhood. He noticed people looking at him differently. He was banned from his favorite bar."

People are afraid.  Let fear rule their lives.  The criminal jackbooted bastards in blue thrive and prosper on that fear.  Line County coffers.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"The police keep pulling him over, and he now fears them, he said. He finally left Tampa and lives in Pasco County, about an hour away. “Yeah, I took a stand against them,” he said. “But I lost all that time. I gotta deal with that, going to jail for no reason.”

Why were you smoking pot in the vehicle?  Why were you breaking traffic laws?  Had you not done so, you would have been in a much better position to find an attorney and sue the living shit out of the criminal jackbooted motherf--kers.  After all, even had you not broken the law, the nazi motherf--kers would have found another excuse to stop and harass you.  To line County coffers.  ... Right, Sheriff?  Your boys are really good at that, aren't they, Bill?

Highly reminiscent of our outrageously bought and paid for judiciary, Llano County prosecutors, Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, do as they please regardless of the law and Constitution, carefully consider the following.  It's appalling.  Runs against the grain of everything our formerly great country once stood for.  No longer.

More of the same.  ABC News reports:

"Baltimore police announced the arrest of one of their own on Thursday after reviewing officer-worn body cam footage painting a very different picture than what one of their senior officers reported. Sgt. Ethan Newberg was charged with second-degree assault, misconduct and false imprisonment for allegedly attacking a man who did nothing wrong. The charges came after officials reviewed footage from his body-worn camera of an arrest earlier this week conducted by Newberg. According to officials, Newberg, a 24-year veteran with the department, was running a warrant check and claimed a second man at the scene "challenged him and became combative and aggressive." “The body worn camera that I reviewed tells a much different story," Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said at a press conference Thursday. "It shows the man speaking to Sgt. Newberg and walking calmly away after offering his opinion that Sgt. Newberg should have not placed the suspect on a wet sidewalk." In a video Harrison called "disturbing," he said Newberg is seen chasing and grabbing the subject while another officer tackled the subject to the ground and placed him in handcuffs. Officials have not yet released the video."

Why not?

"The other officer has not been charged."

Why not?

“From what I saw, he did nothing to provoke Sgt. Newberg, whose actions were not just wrong but deeply disturbing and illegal," Harrison said. "I don't know how something like this would have been handled in the past, but I knew that as soon as I saw this video I knew how I would be handling it." Newberg was also suspended without pay from the police department. "This behavior cannot and will not be tolerated," Harrison said. "His behavior will never have a place in this department as long as I’m the police commissioner."

Goes on all over our formerly great country.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"Newberg was the second-highest paid city employee in 2018, making $243,132, according to city records. The only city employee who made more gross salary was fellow police Sgt. William Harris Jr. The sergeant was paid over $60,000 more than then-Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh. He also made more money than Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby -- the third-highest paid city employee -- who was also at Thursday's press conference. "I'm grateful to the new police commissioner that has expeditiously ensured that one standard of justice is applied," Mosby said. "Although Sgt. Newberg is presumed innocent unless, or until, proven guilty, he will have his day in court."

They've got a lot of problems in Baltimore:

"Harrison said it was "no secret" the Baltimore Police Department has "a lot to do to repair our relationship with our community members" -- a reference to a controversy that has embroiled the department in the past year. Former police Sgt. Keith Gladstone pleaded guilty earlier this week to planting a gun on a person allegedly run over by Sgt. Walter Jenkins, the leader of the department's now-defunct Gun Trace Task Force in 2014. The same incident led to the suspension of Gladstone and three other unnamed officers. Jenkins is serving 25 years in prison for a host of crimes committed while leading the gun task force, including robbing citizens, extorting drug dealers and filing false reports, according to the U.S. attorney's office."

Law enforcement intransigence.  CBS News reports:

"A mother wants an independent investigation Friday after she says a Utah police officer pointed a gun at her 10-year-old son's head in what she calls a racially motivated incident. Jerri Hrubes said at a news conference that she saw a white Woods Cross officer pull his gun on her son, DJ Hrubes, who is black, while he was playing on his grandmother's front lawn Thursday. She said her son didn't have any toys or objects in his hand. The officer told DJ to put his hands in the air and get on the ground, she said. When DJ asked the officer if he did something wrong, she said the officer told DJ not to ask questions. Hrubes said she raced outside of the house and screamed at the officer, "What are you doing? This is a 10-year-old child." She said the officer didn't respond and got in his car and left."

If that's precisely how it went down, the cop is an idiot.  Egregiously, unfit.  Hard to believe an officer would behave so erratically.  Incident occurred in broad daylight.  Kid, unarmed.  Not even a toy gun.  What the hell is going on here?  What's the excuse this time?  Need to hear from the chief and the officer.

"Hrubes said she called dispatch right away to complain about the officer's actions, and the officer returned to the house later in the day. She said he apologized and DJ hugged him and said it was OK. She said her son doesn't "have a mean bone in his body" and is mentally delayed and has issues with his sight. She teared up recounting the encounter and said she's thankful she taught DJ growing up to heed the commands of officers. "I support all police officers. I see good in them," Hrubes said. "But, I do not support putting a child of 10-years-old at gunpoint with no explanation. . . Does he look like he's 30? Does he look like he's 18? No." She said she doesn't necessarily want the officer fired, but wants an outside review and has filed a formal complaint. She appeared alongside attorney Karra Porter at the news conference, but said she's not considering any legal action at this time."

Should be.  -- Again, if this is precisely how things went down.  Need to hear from the chief and the officer.  Corrupt, abusive, murderous law enforcement is an increasing problem in our formerly great country.  Since there is little to no criminal accountability, the only other way short of an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming, is to sue the living shit out of the bastard, department, and government entity having jurisdiction.

"Hrubes, who is from Montana, said she was visiting her mother in the town where she grew up: West Bountiful, a suburb of Salt Lake City. She said the incident changes how she feels in Utah, a state where African Americans account for just 1.4% of the state's population, according to U.S. Census figures. "As a white mother to a black son, I don't feel safe in West Bountiful anymore," Hrubes said. "That changed after yesterday. I do not feel that he is safe. He has not left my sight. It just doesn't feel like it used to."

While minorities are certainly in jeopardy, the threat from law enforcement extends across the board, all races.  Remains out of control.  An exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"Lex Scott, founder of Black Lives Matter in Utah, said her organization is demanding that the officer be fired or they will protest outside the police agency's offices. She said the group also plans to file a complaint with the FBI's civil rights division. "Holding a gun to the head of a 10-year-old will traumatize that kid for life," Scott said. "The only apology we will accept is if this officer is terminated."

Can certainly understand their chagrin.

Too busy lining County coffers with bogus tickets?

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties at great personal cost and risk?  Get what you truly deserve.

No longer.

ICE remains egregiously out of control.  Hopelessly, aggressively stupid.  Target this time?  Veterans.  The Washington Post reports:

"On the same day the White House heralded veterans on the 75th anniversary of D-Day, a federal watchdog said the government had violated its own rules on deporting former service members — and immigration authorities have no idea how many they have removed."

This agency is a massive failure.  Hopelessly, incompetent.  Direct threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  Needs to be abolished, then replaced.

"Although U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is required to especially consider a veteran’s health, deployment record and other circumstances and must elevate decisions of veteran removal to senior officials, the agency often did not because it was “unaware of the policies,” the Government Accountability Office said in a Thursday report."

Stunning, isn't it? Veterans.  Men and women who served this country at great personal risk and cost.

"ICE did not elevate a decision in 70 percent of relevant cases, according to the report. The consequence, the GAO found, was that some veterans were deported without being properly screened. Immigrants have served in uniform since the nation’s founding and have been naturalized in uniform or as veterans for a century. Nearly 130,000 troops have been naturalized since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks alone."

Stunning number.  Yet, ICE deports them with no due process.

"But assumptions that the process is automatic has left some veterans unaware that they need to apply themselves. That has partially led to deportations for an unknown number of veterans for crimes ranging from assault to relatively minor offenses such as petty theft."

Whether or not veterans are aware is irrelevant.  It is up to government to inform them, ensure they're aware of their rights.  Before deportation.

“I haven’t seen ICE use any discretion except for one veteran from El Salvador,” said Hector Barajas-Varela, an Army veteran who was deported to Mexico for 14 years but was later pardoned by California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) in 2017 and was naturalized last year. He advocates for other deported veterans. ICE does not know precisely how many veterans it has deported, the report found, which validates an issue Barajas-Varela has warned of for years: that unclear policies mean no one knows exactly how big the problem has become."

Exactly, what our fuhrer, the Trump nazi and his henchmen want.

"Barajas-Varela estimates 2,000 veterans have been deported but said he could not be certain. "Even if they started counting now, there’s no way to find out,” he told The Washington Post on Saturday."

Incredible, isn't it?  We've lost ourselves.

"In a letter to acting ICE director Mark Morgan on Thursday, House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Mark Takano (D-Calif.) said he was “deeply alarmed” over the findings. “We cannot allow noncitizen veterans to fall through the cracks of our broken immigration system,” Takano said. “Deporting veterans represents a failure by our government that could have been prevented if ICE officials had been adhering to agency policies,” Takano continued. “This level of carelessness and disregard for official procedures is negligent and unacceptable."

All talk, no action.  When will that change?

"Margaret Stock, an immigration attorney who represents recruits and veterans in deportation proceedings, said Pentagon and Homeland Security policies enacted in recent years have accelerated the problem. The military, until recently, quickly naturalized soldiers before they could deploy, and possibly die, for the country without being a citizen. A soldier from Trinidad was killed in Iraq on his way to gather paperwork for his citizenship, which led to legislation to expedite the process."

The way this should work is ass backwards.  A non-citizen who joins the military should be immediately granted provisional citizenship conditioned on honorably completing military service or dying before that service has been completed.  -- This isn't rocket science.  It's goddamned bullshit.  No one who has served in the military should be treated like this.

No longer.

Another highly questionable case.  CNN reports:

"Two days before he died, Everett Palmer Jr. called his brother, Dwayne, to tell him he was on his way from Delaware to New York to visit him and their sick mother. But first, he said, he wanted to resolve an outstanding DUI warrant from an incident in 2016 in Pennsylvania to make sure his license was valid for the drive to see his family. The phone call was the last time the family would hear from the 41-year-old US Army veteran and father of two. On April 9, 2018, two days later, the family was told that Palmer had died in police custody at the York County Prison. Fourteen months later, the Palmers say they still don't know what really happened. But they are suspicious because when Palmer's body was returned to them, his throat, heart and brain were missing. "This entire case smacks of a cover-up," civil rights attorney Lee Merritt told CNN by phone. The family hired Merritt to help find answers because so far, they have been unable to get them on their own, they say. Merritt says prison and county officials have not been cooperative with providing an official manner of death. But York County Coroner Pam Gay said those organs were actually retained as part of the forensic autopsy for additional testing. "There were never any missing organs," Gay told CNN on Saturday. "The lab that does our autopsies has the organs. Coroner's offices don't always have a morgue or a forensic pathologist. We contract those services out. We utilize a team in Allentown. That's who retains the specimens. They don't always tell us what they retain. We made that clear to the family from the beginning."

"An initial autopsy by the York County Coroner's Office stated Palmer died after an incident "following an excited state" during which he "began hitting his head against the inside of his cell door" and was restrained. The report says Palmer became agitated as a result of "methamphetamine toxicity." A probable "sickling red cell disorder" as listed as a contributing factor. According to his family, Palmer never had any health problems leading up to his death. They also say the autopsy report of him hitting himself is completely out of character. The York County Coroner's Office updated its autopsy results on July 28, 2018, to include a manner of death, which it listed as "undetermined." The autopsy report says details of the autopsy may be corrected as more information becomes available.

"It's not unusual to take organs out of a body during an autopsy, especially if you believe they were subject to trauma. The highly unusual part is to misplace them," Merritt said. For seven months, the family could not track down Palmer's brain, heart or throat. They say they were told by the York County Coroner to check with the funeral home for the body parts. "The funeral home says they hadn't touched the body," Merritt said. The family says they were later told by the coroner that the body parts were at an independent lab. However, the lab, Merritt says, has refused to hand over the parts, citing an ongoing investigation. Merritt says the family believes the body parts will reveal details of how Palmer died. "But we haven't been able to get them back yet," Merritt said. "His constitutional rights are being violated."

Report goes on and on.  So many unanswered questions.

'Don't do as I do, do as I say.'  Hypocrisy in law enforcement, second to none.  ABC News reports:

"An off-duty police officer lost control of his vehicle while allegedly driving drunk and plowed into a restaurant in Chicago early Sunday, killing a woman who was dining inside. The off-duty officer was driving on 87th Street on Chicago's South Side when he swerved to avoid another car, jumped a curb and drove through the front of Tony's Philly Steak restaurant, police said. A 34-year-old woman who was eating inside the restaurant with a friend was trapped under the vehicle. She was taken to Christ Medical Center and later pronounced dead, according to police. Friends identified the woman as Marquita Reed, a nurse and mother of two, according to Chicago ABC station WLS."

Consider the impact of the loss of this mother of two to her family, profession, and the community.

"The officer, whose name has not been released, had a blood alcohol level 0.083 and was charged with driving under the influence, police said. The legal limit in Illinois is 0.08."

The public is entitled to know the identity of this officer.  Why sit on this information?  Is it because the department is doing what it can to protect and coddle him?  Moreover, his blood alcohol level is barely over the limit.  Think a crafty shyster won't find a way to challenge the accuracy?

"He has not yet been charged with any other offenses. "We'll keep investigating and when the time comes, he will be held responsible for his actions," Chicago Police Department Superintendent Eddie Johnson said when asked about the incident at an unrelated press conference Sunday."

'Reassuring,' isn't it?

"The suspect suffered a neck injury in the accident. He is 24 years old and has worked for the Chicago police for three years. Reed's friend suffered a broken leg in the crash, according to WLS. "Before the crash happened there were a lot of customers in the store, but at the time of the crash there were three people in the store," restaurant owner Tawfik Damra told WLS."

Had the restaurant been packed at the time, the carnage would have been far worse.

"The police officer was driving his personal car at the time. The other vehicle that swerved in front of the off-duty officer did not stop and has not been found, police said."

Video?  Witnesses?  Or, just conjecture by police to protect and coddle the officer.

More to come as it becomes available.

Think officers aren't sexual predators?  Would never engage in such criminal activity?  NBC News reports:

"A California college student used a Snapchat filter to pose as an underage girl online in an effort to catch sexual predators. The alleged predator he caught was a San Mateo police officer. Ethan, a 20-year-old San Francisco Bay Area college student, used Snapchat's gender-switch filter to become Esther and posed on Tinder as a 19-year-old because Tinder does not allow juveniles to open accounts, according to NBC Bay Area. Esther was contacted by a male Tinder user. "I believe he messaged me, 'Are you down to have some fun tonight,'" said Ethan, who did not give his last name for fear of retaliation. San Mateo Police Officer Robert Davies, 40, began talking with who he thought was Esther on Tinder on May 11, before the two switched to Kik messaging app, where Ethan said Esther was 16, which "Davies acknowledged," according to a release from the San Jose Police Department. "Davies then asked her to switch to Snapchat where they also discussed her being 16 years old, and chatted about engaging in sexual activity," the release said."

Imagine that.  An officer would never engage in such activity with someone underaged, would he?  LOL.

"We started texting on there, and it got a lot more explicit," Ethan said. Ethan reported Davies, who he had determined was a police officer. San Mateo police then served search warrants on Davies' electronic devices, mobile applications and at his home. He was arrested on June 6 on suspicion of contacting a minor to commit a felony and booked at the Santa Clara County Jail. Ethan told police that he had a female friend who had been molested as a child, which led him to want to try to catch predators. "I was just looking to get someone," he said. "He just happened to be a cop." Davies has been placed on paid administrative leave, according to the San Mateo Police Department."

A paid vacation.

... Not clear what this college kid is majoring in or how much assistance he may have received from law enforcement.  Fascinating, isn't it?

Be interesting to see how this case is finally adjudicated.  Whether or not this was no more than a fishing expedition, entrapment.  -- Or, a bona fide investigation.  Whether everything was done on the up and up.

There are two more examples of exceptionally questionable behavior by the jackbooted bastards in blue.  One in Memphis, other in Phoenix.  Too late for coverage in this edition, however.  Will be in the next one.

There are great officers out there.  This publication will always bring them to the attention of the readership.  The ultimate goal, as always, is good policing.  Not no policing at all.  CBS News reports:

"A police officer from Orono, Minnesota, is receiving widespread praise online after his random act of kindness went viral. Officer Matt Siltala was doing a welfare check at an elderly woman's home on Thursday when he noticed her yard was overgrown. Instead of leaving as soon as his check-in was done, Siltala took time to mow the lawn."

Way to go!  An act of kindness, goes a long, long way to improving police-community relations.

"[The homeowner] said she doesn't have anyone to mow for her," the Orono Police Department wrote on Facebook. "He grabbed her mower and cut the front yard. Very cool." The department shared a photo of Siltala that another officer took, showing the cop in uniform pushing the woman's lawnmower. The photo has been shared more than 2,000 times. "Not sure why Officer McCoy, who took the picture, couldn't grab the trimmer..." the department joked. "Must be a union issue."

"CBS station WPEC noticed that in a comment on the post, the Orono Police Department said people have reached out to see how they could help the woman with her lawn. The department said they will provide details in a few days.

"I cannot say how proud stuff like this makes us. Officer Matt Siltala was called to this residents home on a welfare...

Couldn't be things are turning around in the Chicago Police Department, could it?  Second report of heroic action by officers in the last three weeks.  ABC News reports:

"Two new Chicago police officers’ careers are off to a heroic start after being credited with saving an 8-year-old boy’s life. On Sunday evening, officers received a call that an 8-year-old boy had cut his arm on a wire fence while playing outside, Chicago Police told ABC News. Officers Brendan Lyons and Ravyn Morgan, who were only three weeks out of the academy, responded with their field training officer, Sergio Corona. As they approached the location, the family of injured 8-year-old Sebastian Diaz was out in the street waving them down, Officer Lyons told ABC News. The officers quickly determined the cut was more threatening than they initially thought -- the cut was almost 4 inches deep and squirting blood everywhere, leading Lyons to believe it was an arterial wound. With the family crying and panicking, Officer Lyons sprung into action, immediately applying a tourniquet to the boy’s injured arm, his first time administering first aid outside of training at the academy. Officer Morgan worked to keep the young boy calm, asking him questions and reassuring him that he would be okay. “I was just doing my job, and he really mattered to me,” Morgan told ABC News. An ambulance arrived shortly after and the officers followed paramedics to Lutheran General Hospital, police said. The paramedics told the officers that they had saved the boy’s life. Diaz had severed an artery, which could have been deadly without the officers help, police said. “It was a team effort,” Lyons said, giving credit to the academy for the training he received that enabled him to help that day. Morgan gave credit to her partner and field officer. “To work with other people who are so compassionate...it’s a blessing to myself,” Morgan said. Diaz was treated at the hospital and released a day later. He is recovering well at home, according to police."

Nothing quite like great training, competence, coolness, team work,  and humility in a crisis.  Hat's off.  These new officers are off to a great start.

While there is increasingly expansive corruption, abuse, criminal behavior within the law enforcement community, there is the other side of the coin.  Post traumatic stress and other issues leading to suicide of officers.  NPR reports:

"Nicole Rikard had recently married Sgt. John Rikard of the Asheville Police Department in North Carolina. He had an 8-year-old son, Tucker, from a previous marriage. From the time Nicole and John started dating, they had scarcely been apart. Soon after they married, however, Nicole had to go to Florida for some work training — she was a crime scene investigator in the same police department. John worked an overnight shift and would call her when he woke up to check in. But one day, John wasn't answering her texts. Nicole heard from a colleague that he hadn't shown up for work either."

Seatbelts on.

"She started to panic, imagining multiple scenarios. For starters, she thought he could have had a heart attack and died, like John's father did. John had had a hip replacement, so she worried he could have fallen down the stairs. John was a recovering alcoholic, and though she "had never met him intoxicated," she was concerned he could have relapsed and been on a bender at home. He was having trouble sleeping; she wondered whether he could have accidentally overdosed by mixing a sleep medicine with another medicine. Stuck hundreds of miles away in Florida, Nicole got on the phone with John's colleagues in Asheville. She told the police to break into their house. Thirty-six agonizing minutes went by. Nicole was vomiting in the shower. She finally got a phone call from one of John's lieutenants. "Well, John is gone. And it appears to be self-inflicted," the lieutenant told her. "And I said, 'What the f*** are you talking about?' " Nicole says that the night before, she and John had talked about their weekend plans. They had also made Christmas plans. He was looking forward to going to a concert featuring his favorite band and getting another tattoo. John Rikard was 38 years old when he died by suicide."

Horrendous loss of life.  We've got to do better.  Unsustainable.  Things must change.  Under the status quo, we cannot live with corrupt, abusive, murderous, out of control officers.  At the same time, we cannot survive without law enforcement.  Someone has to enforce the law.  Keep the peace.  Respond to emergencies.  At the same time, officers are increasingly unable to handle the stress.

"That was in December 2015. Three-and-a-half years later, it was Nicole who was getting a tattoo, commemorating her bond with new friends, united by their shared grief. Nicole Rikard, Melissa Swailes, Kristen Clifford and Erin Gibson were each married to a police officer who died by suicide. They got matching tattoos when they met in Washington, D.C., in May. Just like Nicole, Kristen Clifford, Erin Gibson and Melissa Swailes were all married to officers who killed themselves. They live in different parts of the country and met on the Internet. Last month in Washington, D.C., they met in person for the first time. "I would not survive without them," Clifford says. "They are my lifeline." "We talk daily. Twenty, 30 times a day. And we have for the past two years," Swailes says. "We have gotten each other through so much. I would not be here alive right now if I didn't have these women."

Great support group.  -- Must not be forgotten end of unbearable suffering is the desperate intention of those who kill themselves.  ... Conversely, just the beginning for their loved ones.

"Suicide has been increasing in the U.S. In 2017, more than 47,000 Americans killed themselves. Rates went up by more than 30% between 1999 and 2017."

Sadly, not especially surprising as our formerly great country has deteriorated on so many fronts as covered week after week in this publication and elsewhere.

"The danger is particularly acute for law enforcement officers. Studies and personal stories say police and firefighters' persistent exposure to death and trauma can put them at increased risk of post-traumatic stress and depression."

Certainly, true.

"While the suicide rate in the U.S. was 14 per 100,000 in 2017, that number is closer to 18 for members of law enforcement."

Staggering, isn't it?  Certainly, demonstrative of a desperate need for change.

"Police are more likely to die of suicide than they are to be killed by an assailant."

Quite true.  Stunning, as well.  Unsustainable.

"Just in the past week, the police department in New York City was rocked by two suicides of veteran officers in 24 hours. At least 87 officers have died by suicide this year, according to the organization Blue H.E.L.P., which tracks police suicides. The group says at least 167 officers died by suicide last year."

Desperate need for change.  Entire system needs reevaluation, revamping, policies changed, support offered, police-community relations improved through communication, transparency, more effective community policing, etc..  There are solutions.  A good start would be open communication.  Instead of departments stonewalling requests for information.  Covering up for corrupt, abusive, criminal officers.

"But police say there's a stigma attached to talking about mental health problems."

Needs to change.  A problem for decades.  Certainly led not only to officer suicides, but needless, violent behavior by officers perpetrated against innocent, unarmed civilians.  Egregious loss of faith and trust in law enforcement, a consequence.

"Kristen Clifford's husband, Steve Clifford, died in May 2017. She says he was worried he would lose his job if his colleagues knew he was struggling mentally."

Should have received treatment.  Would have saved his life.  Intervention required, especially in the case of law enforcement.  Not only in the best interests of the officer, but the community as well.

"The four widows of police suicide shared their stories with NPR. Kristen Clifford's husband was Officer Steve Clifford of the Nassau County Police Department in New York. They had been married for about seven months and had just gotten a puppy. Kristen says they looked forward to having children. One day in May 2017, he wasn't responding to her texts, so she drove home. "I went inside and I saw a bunch of notes. His police identification, his driver's license, everything laid out very neatly, methodically. ... And I ran down the hallway to our bedroom and the door was closed. And there was a note on it that said, 'I did it. Do not enter. Call 911.' "

Imagine having to live with that.

"Kristen says she's grateful she didn't open the door. "He was protecting me up until the very end." Steve Clifford was 35 years old."

Think arriving officers and other emergency personnel were not severely affected?

"Melissa Swailes and David Swailes were dating as early as high school. They had four sons. David was an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department for almost 10 years. On their youngest son's second birthday on Feb. 26, Melissa came home and found her husband behind their bathroom door. "I remember just screaming over and over. 'I can't. I can't. I can't,' " she says. "I just couldn't accept that what I was seeing was reality." That was 2016. "That haunts me, that image of seeing the person that you love more than anything, the father of your children, your high school sweetheart, somebody you grew up with," she says. "To see that, I think is probably the most horrific thing anybody could ever see in their life." David Swailes was 36 years old."

Imagine living with that.

"Erin Gibson gets support from one of her "widow friends" as she shares her story. Gibson says she has suffered from PTSD and depression after her husband's suicide in 2014. Erin Gibson was married to Sgt. Clint Gibson, of the Liberty Lake, Wash., police department. They, too, were high school sweethearts. They had four children and were married for nearly 20 years. She says stress from Clint's job was getting to him. He turned to alcohol. "There was trouble in the marriage because he was drinking a lot at the end," she says. In April 2014, after having left Clint a week before, Erin was at her parents' house when two chaplains showed up. "They told me, 'Your husband is dead.' And I couldn't believe it. That didn't even register in my mind that Clint was dead," she says. "It made no sense to me. ... I just remember screaming. And nothing makes sense after that." Clint Gibson was 41 years old."

Imagine living with that.

"All four women say their husbands were worn down after years on the police force. "You're showing up to people's worst days of their lives," Melissa Swailes says. "Call after call after call. And you have to go from one call to the next, pretending like you weren't affected that you just saw a child murdered or a homicide or you were just in a high-speed pursuit, or a shooting. And then go to the next call as if it didn't affect you."

That's right.  Simply, not possible.  Not sustainable.  Leads not only to suicides of officers, but corrupt, abusive, murderous, violent behavior directed against innocent, unarmed civilians.

"Melissa says David also had symptoms of post-traumatic stress from his time in the U.S. Navy. Erin says her husband was under added stress in the years before his death. He had been named in a lawsuit against the city of Liberty Lake, and it went to federal court. "And this ate him alive. So whenever he was home he was drinking and he drank, and he drank, and he drank, until he passed out. And I have memories of him pacing the floors just pacing, pacing, pacing, back and forth. And it was frightening."

Precisely, why there was desperate need for timely intervention.

"If you or someone you know may be considering suicide, contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 (En Español: 1-888-628-9454; Deaf and Hard of Hearing: 1-800-799-4889) or the Crisis Text Line by texting HOME to 741741."

Report goes on and on.  Things need to change.

"Kristen, Erin, Nicole and Melissa came to Washington, D.C., to go to a dinner hosted by Blue H.E.L.P. for the families of law enforcement officers who died by suicide. But before showing up for the event, the women had one thing they needed to take care of. It was the first time they had all been in the same place, and they wanted to commemorate the occasion. So they hopped into a car and headed to a tattoo parlor. Erin, who had never gotten a tattoo before, threw up twice. Melissa joked that she took one for the team. But they left with matching dandelion tattoos on their arms. Each dandelion had four wisps, one for each of the four "best widow friends." And then they ate pizza."

Trump's warped sense of reality.  The Washington Post reports:

"Exactly 75 years ago Friday, Allied soldiers stepped on a deadly shore to liberate people they did not know, in a war they did not choose. President Trump said he would have preferred to serve in that kind of war. One that stirred feelings of deep pride in a U.S. victory and righteousness against a clearly defined enemy. But his generation got Vietnam. “I thought it was a terrible war,” Trump told Piers Morgan on “Good Morning Britain” on Wednesday. “I thought it was very far away, and at that time nobody ever heard of the country. So many people dying, what is happening over there? So I was never a fan — like we’re fighting against Nazi Germany, we’re fighting against Hitler.” The exchange occurred after Morgan asked Trump whether he “wished” he had served in the military, particularly in Vietnam, which Trump avoided with a string of student deferments and a medical disqualification for bone spurs.

“I would have not have minded that at all. I would have been honored” to serve, Trump said, though he did not address accusations of draft dodging with Morgan. However, Trump added, he has increased the Pentagon’s budget during his tenure, which he said should be considered as an amends to avoiding service. "I think I make up for it right now,” Trump said, describing a proposed defense budget that will approach $750 billion in 2020. “I think I am making up for it rapidly.”

LOL.  Our insane, unabashed fuhrer delusionally believes spending taxpayer dollars makes up for his failure to serve, blatant draft dodging.  Anything wrong with this picture?  Anything at all?

In follow up to the last edition, NPR reports:

"A federal judge in New York is delaying his review of allegations that the Trump administration concealed the real reason for adding a citizenship question to the 2020 census. The move puts the focus back on the Supreme Court, which has been expected to issue its ruling on the legal fate of the hotly contested census question by the end of June. During a brief hearing at Manhattan federal court Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman called the allegations by plaintiffs in one of the lawsuits over the question "serious."

Then, why didn't you take immediate action?  Why are you waiting for a Supreme Court ruling on the Census citizenship question?

"He added he is "acutely mindful" that his earlier ruling to block plans for the question is currently before the Supreme Court and that he sees "no reason to rush this process" because the new allegations are "collateral" to the issues before the high court. "I don't want to do anything that would cross the line or be seen to cross the line," Furman said."

At the very least, 'Judge,' that's gutless.  Trump's henchmen are accused of committing perjury.  Are you deliberately giving the five Republican nazis on the Supreme Court the opportunity to show gratitude to their fuhrer and his henchmen?

"Attorneys for both the Trump administration and the plaintiffs who brought the allegations agreed to a schedule that could run into early August. With the Supreme Court's term currently set to end later this month, the justices could rule soon to allow the administration to include on forms for the upcoming national head count the question, "Is this person a citizen of the United States?" The court is under pressure to release a decision in time for the printing of paper forms for the 2020 census to start, as currently scheduled and budgeted for, by July 1. Still, attorneys for the plaintiffs, led by the New York Immigration Coalition, say they are determined to push forward this summer with their claims that John Gore, a Justice Department official, and A. Mark Neuman — a former adviser to Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, who oversees the census — gave false or misleading testimony about the citizenship question's origins."

The problem with this is the likelihood the Court will conveniently use the quickly approaching end of its term to conveniently ignore the strong possibility Trump and his henchmen lied about the real reason they want the question added to the Census:

"The Trump administration has said it wants the question so it can better protect the voting rights of racial minorities. But the plaintiffs argue the administration orchestrated a cover-up of the real reason for the question — allegedly, to collect citizenship information that could be used to redraw voting districts in a way that favors Republicans and non-Hispanic white people. It was a plan outlined by a major Republican redistricting strategist, Thomas Hofeller, whose files were recently provided to the plaintiffs' attorneys from hard drives discovered by his estranged daughter after his death last year. "Does the Supreme Court want to issue a ruling in the shadow of those kinds of allegations?" Dale Ho, a plaintiffs' attorney with the ACLU, asked after the hearing outside the courthouse. "That's a question not for us to answer, but for the court." "We want to get the truth out," said John Freedman, another plaintiffs' attorney whose law firm, Arnold & Porter, obtained Hofeller's documents. "The Supreme Court, we think, no matter what it decides, will be interested in what the truth is."

We'll soon find out.  Be interesting to see how the five Republicans on the Court react.

NBC News reports:

"President Donald Trump on Wednesday asserted executive privilege over information related to his administration's decision to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census as the House Oversight Committee prepared to hold two of his Cabinet members in contempt for defying its subpoenas on the issue. The Justice Department announced Trump's move in a letter to the committee's chairman, Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., as the panel was preparing to vote on a resolution on whether to hold Attorney General William Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in contempt of Congress for withholding documents on the issue. The resolution would allow Democrats to pursue both civil and criminal contempt charges against Barr and Ross for defying subpoenas issued by Cummings on April 2 to produce the documents. Democratic leadership and House counsel would then decide which avenue to pursue. "What we have learned in this investigation is quite disturbing," Cummings said in his opening remarks, stating that the committee obtained evidence that Ross was "aggressively pressing his staff" to add the citizenship question to the 2020 census months before the DOJ made the request to include it, and that Ross did so at the urging of the White House. Cummings said the administration has claimed that it has supplied 17,000 pages of documents on the issue to the committee. "This is true, but the vast majority of these documents were already public; others were heavily redacted," he said."

Republican fascists do all they can to stonewall, obfuscate:

"Rep. Jody Hice, R-Ga., a member of the committee, said lawmakers should not vote on a contempt resolution until the public gets a clear understanding of why Democratic lawmakers oppose adding the question. "The American people need to know what’s going on here," Hice said. "Democrats simply don’t want to have a citizenship question, and it is important for us to ask why. We know that that question cannot be used for immigration enforcement. It cannot be used for deportation. These types of things are in federal law. So the question is, why do the Democrats not want to know how many citizens are in this country?"

This Republican national socialist, fascist and his henchmen already know the answer.  Been repeatedly stated.  Over and over and over again.  Forget?  A large number of households containing non-citizens would refuse to participate fearing deportation no matter the law.  An accurate Census count would, consequently, be greatly compromised:

"Those who oppose adding the question say it would likely suppress the response rate in immigrant communities, leading to an undercount. The administration, meanwhile, has argued that including the question would help it to enforce the Voting Rights Act."

Trump and his henchmen are liars.  This information would wind up passed on to ICE.  Forget?  Government is hopelessly duplicitous.  ... Right, Sheriff?

"To take action in criminal contempt, the House would need to hold a full floor vote. For civil contempt, Democrats would seek authorization from a bipartisan group of House leaders, in which Democrats hold the majority, to file a lawsuit to enforce the committee’s subpoenas. The committee, which had planned to vote on the resolution Wednesday morning, postponed action until the afternoon to allow members to read the Justice Department letter stating why the president had asserted executive privilege. On Tuesday, the Justice Department had warned Cummings in a letter that it would recommend the president assert executive privilege if the House voted to hold the officials in contempt of Congress."

Trump and his henchmen continue to egregiously obstruct justice.

"The planned committee vote comes a day after the House approved a resolution to authorize the House Judiciary Committee and other panels to go to court to enforce their subpoenas of the Trump administration. That measure, which was adopted 229-191 along party lines, allows the Judiciary Committee to sue Barr and former White House counsel Don McGahn for refusing to comply with its subpoenas related to former special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russia's efforts to influence the 2016 election and possible obstruction of justice by Trump.

"Cummings said the House vote Tuesday "marks a pivotal moment for Congress in our ability to conduct oversight as an independent branch of government.” The White House, Cummings said, has “not turned over one single shred of paper in response to any of our requests” about such things as the response to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico; executive branch security clearance concerns; efforts to transfer nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia; and hush payments that the president's former longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen, made to women who allege past affairs with Trump, which he has denied."

Called obstruction.

NBC News reports:

"The House Oversight and Reform Committee advanced a resolution Wednesday to hold Attorney General William Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in contempt of Congress for withholding documents on the Trump administration's decision to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census. The vote, 24-15 largely along party lines, came only hours after President Donald Trump asserted executive privilege to block access to the information. The Department of Justice announced the move in a letter to the committee's chairman, Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., just as the panel was preparing to vote on the resolution Wednesday morning. Only one Republican, Justin Amash of Michigan, voted in support of the measure."

Re-districting is egregiously un-American.  Both parties gerrymander.  Needs to end.  Outrageously, undemocratic.  In follow up to the last edition of this publication, NPR reports:

"The way Thomas Hofeller talked about redistricting — the drawing of political boundaries and the sifting of voters into buckets — you could be forgiven if you assumed he was speaking about a loved one or a favorite holiday. "Redistricting is like an election in reverse! It's a great event," he said with a smile at a National Conference of State Legislatures event in 2000. "Usually the voters get to pick the politicians. In redistricting, the politicians get to pick the voters!" A mapmaker and Republican strategist, he saw holes in the democratic system that could be exploited by technology and guile. Hofeller, who died in August 2018, saw a way to turn small vote margins into supermajorities for GOP legislators. Now a trove of his data has been uncovered that could undo some of the work he spent decades perfecting.

"In North Carolina, after Republican successes in the 2010 election, Hofeller helped draw new maps that netted the party 10 of the state's 13 congressional seats, despite the popular vote in that state being nearly even. Hofeller also knew the key to success in this niche field was protecting against lawsuits. He spent 10 PowerPoint slides in a presentation he gave about redistricting in 2011 just on legal issues and privacy. "Treat every statement and document as if it was going to appear on the FRONT PAGE of your local newspaper," he implored on one slide. "Emails are the tool of the devil." He knew the practice was unseemly, and if politicians were going to partake, Hofeller warned, they needed good lawyers. And a way to keep secrets. "Loose lips sink ships," he said, at the same NCSL event in 2000. "Remember, a journey to legal hell starts with but a single misstatement."

Coup de grace?  LOL.  Get this:

"All the more surprising, then, that his own files have prompted legal action. After Hofeller's death, his daughter found hard drives and thumb drives holding close to 100,000 files, according to The New York Times. She turned them over to Common Cause, a voting-rights nonprofit.

"Public opinion about partisan gerrymandering is consistently negative. Last fall, voters in four states voted to reduce the role of elected officials in the redistricting process. A Campaign Legal Center poll from earlier this year found that about two-thirds of likely 2020 voters view gerrymandering unfavorably. Tokaji says the public getting a closer look at the unsavory details of Hofeller's work will only fuel those feelings. "I think it's a little bit like the Wizard of Oz," he said. "It allows those of us who have not been in the backroom to see behind the curtain, and see the real partisan agenda behind some of these decisions." The more the public knows and understands about the practice, the less brazen politicians may be when lines are redrawn in 2021."

The system is hopelessly corrupt.  Time for radical change.

The following extreme example in Israel illustrates precisely why church-state separation is critical to a democratic republic.  Certainly, a portend of far worse to come in the United States as we transition from a de facto fascist police-state to the Trump nazi's Fourth ReichThe Washington Post reports:

"Bastet, a vegan and LGBT-friendly cafe whose blue tables spill across a central Jerusalem sidewalk, is a secular oasis for residents seeking Saturday refreshment in a city that largely comes to a standstill for the Jewish Sabbath. But each week, a procession of ultra-Orthodox men, some in their finest fur hats and gold robes, invariably marches past in a show of displeasure at the cafe’s desecration of the day of rest. “Shabbos!” they chant, using the Yiddish word for the Sabbath. On a recent Saturday, the wait staff struck back, lifting their shirts to reveal their bras in an attempt to push back the religiously conservative demonstrators. The confrontation reflected a central tension in modern Israel over the very nature of the state, founded by secular Zionists but with an ultrareligious population that is growing in size and influence. That tension came to the forefront late last month, thwarting longtime Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s efforts to form a new government and sending a stunned nation to the polls for the second time this year. Netanyahu needed two competing factions, secular and religious, to form a governing majority in parliament, and they were deadlocked over legislation that proposes drafting the ultra-Orthodox into the military as other Israeli Jews are."

Trump recently complained about this Israeli failure to get their political act together.  Laughable, considering the fact our delusional fuhrer is doing precisely the same here in our formerly great country.

"For Israelis like Klil Lifshitz, the 28-year-old lesbian who opened Bastet 2½ years ago with a “super feminist” wait staff rather than decamp to liberal Tel Aviv as most of her friends had, the shrinking space for secularism is a concern. “They have more and more power,” she said of the ultra-Orthodox. “As long as they keep having the power they do in forming coalitions and governments, they are basically going to get what they want.” Alex Dvorkin, 21, a staffer at Bastet, said she exposed her bra to repel religious protesters and make a point about freedom. It was during an usually large demonstration last month — called by ultra-Orthodox Jews to protest what they termed Israel’s desecration of the Sabbath as the country hosted the Eurovision song contest — that the wait staff decided to make their own stand. They said the purpose was to protect their tables and make an ideological point."

Good for them.  Did the right thing.  Displayed great courage.

"Since then, the ultra-Orthodox have paused their weekly walk past."

LOL.  Imagine that.  Couldn't be, could it?  LOL.  What's the matter, boys?  Afraid you might get your cookies off?  LOL.

“It is a victory,” said Mira Ibrahim, one of the staff members who decided to disrobe, though she said the sense of triumph was tinged by a heavy-handed police response to the demonstrators that made the staff uncomfortable."

That's a problem.  There and here in the United States.  No one wants aggressive policing.  Always counterproductive.  No matter who it is directed against.  No matter why.

"But while the Bastet staff may have won a small reprieve, the wider battle is only expected to escalate. The ultra-Orthodox, also known as Haredim, make up only 12 percent of the population but are the fastest-growing segment of Israelis, with women giving birth to an average of 6.9 children. In the early days of the Israeli state, many of the ultra-Orthodox were opposed to the secular Zionist movement that created it, fearing it would eradicate their form of Judaism. Now, they are increasingly using their power in Israel’s 120-member parliament, where they most recently won 16 seats, to promote and protect their interests, rather than shunning it. And it’s not just the ultra-Orthodox who are pushing for Israel to be ruled by religious law. On June 3, Netanyahu rejected calls from his political ally Bezalel Smotrich — a religious, but not ultra-Orthodox, Jew — for the Israeli justice system to adhere to Jewish law. “Israel will not be a halacha state,” Netanyahu tweeted, using the term for Jewish law based on the Talmud. A religious state is what Avraham Menkes, an ultra-Orthodox rabbi, would like to see, and he sees conscription as a threat to the existence of his unique community. National service, he says, is a “melting pot” designed to take Israeli Jewish immigrants from a diverse mix of cultures across the world and give them a uniform identity."

While the clash between a secular and religious state is nowhere near as pronounced yet in the United States, the Nazi Right, centered in the Republican Party, is quite determined to force its political, religious, and ideological views on the rest of us by statute.  Direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, church-state separation, that is, freedom from religion.

"While many outside Israel see its conflict with the Palestinians as the country’s defining struggle, Haim said he sees the clash between his two worlds — religious and secular — as the most fateful and sure to escalate in the future, as the ultra-Orthodox population grows.  He predicted that Israel will reach a tipping point when the balance between the Jewish communities will no longer be sustainable, and secular Jews would then begin leaving Israel because it had grown so restrictive. “At some point it will break,” he warned."

At some point as well, Americans will finally wake up to what is happening in Israel.  To say nothing of what is happening here in our formerly great country.  Hopefully, before too late.

Bigotry against the LGBTQ community remains alive and well in Washington state.  NBC News reports:

"Washington state’s top court ruled for a second time on Thursday that a Christian florist discriminated against a same-sex couple by refusing to sell them flowers for their wedding, setting up a potential clash over gay and religious rights at the U.S. Supreme Court. In a unanimous decision, the Washington Supreme Court’s nine justices said that Barronelle Stutzman, owner of Arlene’s Flowers in Richland, Washington, violated a state anti-discrimination law by refusing service to Robert Ingersoll and Curt Freed, for their marriage in 2013.  Stutzman, a member of the Southern Baptist denomination, believes that marriage should be exclusively between a man and a woman. Her lawyers vowed an immediate appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. The state court previously ruled against Stutzman in 2017, but was ordered to reconsider the case after the nation’s highest court last year sided with a Colorado baker who refused to make a wedding cake for two men, citing religious beliefs. That ruling was narrow and did not resolve the constitutional issues raised, instead finding that the Colorado Civil Rights Commission did not handle the case appropriately. On Thursday, Washington high court said it reviewed Stutzman’s case and found it was handled neutrally and “avoided animus toward religion.” It again rejected Stutzman’s argument that arranging flowers for a same-sex wedding would violate her free speech rights under the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment and would be tantamount to endorsing same-sex marriage. John Bursch, an attorney with the Alliance Defending Freedom, a conservative legal group that represented Stutzman, said the state has been hostile toward her religious beliefs. “We look forward to taking Barronelle’s case back to the U.S. Supreme Court,” he said. Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson said he will continue to uphold the state’s anti-discrimination laws."

The Hyde Amendment.  CBS News reports:

"The Hyde Amendment has taken center stage this week in the Democratic presidential field, with former Vice President Joe Biden announcing Thursday night he no longer supports it — a reversal of his long-held position. So what is the Hyde Amendment, and why is it so controversial?  The Hyde Amendment restricts federal funding from supporting abortions except in instances of rape, incest or to save the life of the mother. Congress passed the first iteration of the Hyde Amendment in 1976, just a few years after Roe v. Wade, attaching it to Medicaid appropriations. The amendment effectively barred federal Medicaid funds from being used for abortion except for instances in which the woman's life would be endangered by carrying out the pregnancy. The amendment must be passed, attached to Health and Human Services appropriations, each year. The Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of the amendment in 1980."

Despite the fact it violates the First Amendment Establishment Clause, church-state separation, that is, freedom from religion.  Another example where the Court continues to bastardize the Constitution.

"Most Democratic presidential candidates in the 2020 race have made it clear they don't support the Hyde Amendment, like Biden said he did up until this week. Earlier this week, the Biden campaign insisted he still supported the amendment, before the former VP announced Thursday night he no longer does with the right to abortion "under attack." "I can't justify leaving millions of women without access to the care they need and the ability ... to exercise their constitutional protected right," Biden said at a Democratic National Committee fundraising gala in Atlanta Thursday night. Biden had been under pressure to change his position, with other Democrats blasting his support for the amendment. Democratic Rep. Seth Moulton, also running for president, on Thursday compared Biden's position to supporting American troops but not being willing to pay for them."

Here's what's so interesting about Biden's change of heart:

"Biden was sworn into the Senate in 1973, the same year the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade, and long said he personally opposed abortion, citing his Catholic beliefs. "I accept my church's position on abortion as a what we call de fide doctrine," Biden said during a 2012 vice presidential debate. "Life begins at conception. That's the church's judgment. I accept it in my personal life. But I refuse to impose it on equally devout Christians and Muslims and Jews. I just refuse to impose that on others."

-- Unlike Republican nazis who remain determined to impose their perverse religious and ideological views on all.

Gamesmanship.  Brinkmanship.  Aggressive Stupidity.  Unbridled.  The Washington Times reports:

"Democrats lashed out in all directions at President Trump after he won concessions from Mexico to try to stop the flow of illegal immigrants at the border. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi chided the president Saturday for his method, saying his threat of tariffs was unbecoming of a friendly country’s treatment of a neighbor. But Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer took a different approach, saying — seemingly with as much sarcasm as can drip on Twitter — that since Mr. Trump has struck a deal, he can stop talking about illegal immigration. “Now that that problem is solved, I’m sure we won’t be hearing any more about it in the future,” Mr. Schumer said."

LOL.  Don't count on it.  LOL.  This 'deal' is no more than 'symbolism over substance.'

"Just days before Mr. Schumer had predicted Mr. Trump would cave and find a reason to revoke his tariff threat."

Exactly, what happened.  LOL.  Yet, his supporters, including those in Right Wing media and without any evidence to support their claims, delusionally trumpet success:

"But the threat appears to have worked both to bring Mexico to the negotiating table and to win concessions that the Mexican government had been reluctant to agree to, including cooperating with the U.S. to hold Central American asylum-seekers while they are awaiting their cases in the U.S."

LOL.  ... With the caveat, moreover:

"Mexico did, however, resist signing a “safe third country” agreement that would have allowed the U.S., of right, to return any non-Mexican asylum-seekers who crossed Mexico en route to the U.S.

... Whatever the hell the above quote precisely, truly means.  LOL.

"Mexico did agree to revisit its actions over the next 90 days to see if they are working."

Regardless, will do nothing to ultimately resolve the humanitarian crisis decades in the making.  Thanks to American support of Extreme Right regimes in South and Central America.  Due to insane fear of Far Left regimes that had clearly been failing for years.

"Mrs. Pelosi had opposed Mr. Trump’s goal of getting Mexico to hold onto asylum-seekers, saying it violated the migrants’ rights."

While Speaker Pelosi is indeed hopelessly full of shit on an increasing number of issues, she's right on target on this particular one.

"She said the U.S has a broader role to play in stopping the smuggling networks that orchestrate the flow of people. And she said Mr. Trump was wrong to use tariffs to force compliance."

Quite correct, as well on both issues.  Time will tell.

“President Trump undermined America’s preeminent leadership role in the world by recklessly threatening to impose tariffs on our close friend and neighbor to the south,” she said."

Also true.  Worse, without question?  Trump has disgraced himself, his office, and the country.

The Washington Post reports:

"President Trump announced Friday night that a deal was in place that would avert threatened tariffs on imports from Mexico in exchange for that country’s taking “strong measures” to curb the influx of Central American migrants at the U.S. southern border. The agreement, which came just two days before Trump had vowed to impose a 5 percent, across-the-board tariff on one of the United States’ top trading partners, called for the Mexican government to widely dispatch its national guard forces to help with immigration enforcement, with priority in the south, on its border with Guatemala, according to a joint statement. In addition, the two countries would expand a program known as the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), created this year, that allows the United States to return Central American migrants to Mexico while they await the adjudication of their asylum hearings in U.S. immigration court, a process that can take months."

Here's just one unresolved issue of many:

"The expansion of the program could result in tens of thousands of migrants waiting in limbo in potentially unsafe conditions in Mexico. MPP already has faced legal challenges, and while a federal appeals court panel in San Francisco has allowed it to temporarily continue while it reviews the policy, some judges have indicated that the MPP program might not be constitutional."

Clearly, matters not to our fuhrer, the Trump nazi, and his henchmen.  Why would it?

"At the State Department, Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard told reporters that the deal did not include a provision pushed by the Trump administration, known as a “Safe Third Country” agreement, that would have required asylum seekers to apply for refugee status in Mexico before reaching the United States, since it also is considered safe for asylum purposes. “I think it is a fair balance because they had more drastic measures and proposals at the start and we reached a midpoint,” Ebrard said."

It's good the Mexicans did offer some resistance.  The truth, however, is the fact Mexico is not, and has not, been safe for migrants.

"GOP leaders praised Trump for the outcome Friday evening. “By using all the tools available to him under U.S. law, President Trump has advanced the protection of our national security interests,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said in a statement. “While I generally do not support imposing tariffs, except in cases of legitimate violations of U.S. trade law, Mexico’s lack of commitment when it comes to addressing the unsustainable and dangerous migratory crisis at our Southern Border has left this administration no other choice. By exerting maximum pressure and demanding decisive action from the López Obrador administration, President Trump has secured an important victory on behalf of the American people.”

Unadulterated bullshit.  Republicans are relieved Trump backed down, made an agreement before they had to take action to block their nazi fuhrer.  LOL.

"But Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), who has objected to Trump’s efforts to build a border wall and his threats to seal the border to trade and tourism, reacted sarcastically to Trump’s announcement. “This is an historic night! @realDonaldTrump has announced that he has cut a deal to ‘greatly reduce, or eliminate, Illegal Immigration coming from Mexico, and into the United States,’ ” Schumer wrote on Twitter. “Now that that problem is solved, I’m sure we won’t be hearing any more about it in the future.”

LOL.

Trump's growing instability is, sadly, becoming increasingly obvious.  CBS News reports:

"In a series of tweets Saturday morning, Mr. Trump continued to defend his last-minute decision not to implement tariffs, blaming the media for perceived negative reporting. "While the reviews and reporting on our Border Immigration Agreement with Mexico have been very good, there has nevertheless been much false reporting (surprise!) by the Fake and Corrupt News Media, such as Comcast/NBC, CNN, @nytimes & @washingtonpost. These "Fakers" are Bad News!" Mr. Trump claimed without evidence. He also wrote, in all capitalization, that "MEXICO HAS AGREED TO IMMEDIATELY BEGIN BUYING LARGE QUANTITIES OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT FROM OUR GREAT PATRIOT FARMERS!"

"MEXICO HAS AGREED TO IMMEDIATELY BEGIN BUYING LARGE QUANTITIES OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCT FROM OUR GREAT PATRIOT FARMERS!
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 8, 2019"

The Washington Post reports:

"In Washington, meanwhile, Democrats described the turbulent week of tariff fears and political brinkmanship as another example of Trump claiming he fixed a crisis of his own making. “President Trump undermined America’s preeminent leadership role in the world by recklessly threatening to impose tariffs on our close friend and neighbor to the south,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in a statement. “Threats and temper tantrums are no way to negotiate foreign policy.” Several Democratic presidential contenders also called out Trump’s penchant for threats as undermining U.S. credibility. “The damage of Trump’s reckless trade policies and tariffs has already been done,” “What we see is yet another example of him trying to be both the arsonist who created this problem in the first place and the firefighter who wants credit for addressing it,” wrote former congressman Beto O’Rourke on Twitter. Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Ind., said the United States needs a “comprehensive strategy, not just a pattern of poking folks in the eye.”

Will not change under an insane, narcissistic dictator who has no regard for the United States Constitution, separation of powers, rule of law, etc..  A fascist dictator does as he pleases.  Forget?

“Mexico cannot and should not bend the knee to Trump’s ultimatum,” said Arturo Sarukhan, a former Mexican ambassador to the United States."

No country should.  Always a mistake.  Give a nazi an inch, the fascist bastard takes a mile.  Neville Chamberlain and the British certainly learned the hard way with Adolf Hitler.

"He called it a “bad omen” and worried that Trump could seek further pressure on Mexico as the 2020 presidential race heats up."

No question.  Likely happen.  Not only on Mexico, but others as well.

Equally to the point:

“More than a deal, what Trump is looking for is a trophy,” Sarukhan said."

Astute.  Exactly, right.

More telling?  Portend of the future?  Damage to the American business community as a result of the Trump nazi's aggressive stupidity?

"Some argued that Trump’s threat made it clear that the time had come for Mexico to look to other trading partners, especially China. “We must look for other markets to compensate us for these lower sales,” said Jorge Macias, the president of Tijuana’s chamber of commerce. Like many in the private sector, Macias expressed frustration at Trump that went well beyond the recent threat of tariffs. “It is exhausting for Mexico and puts us in a scenario where we lose out,” Macias said. “It is a constant aggression by President Trump.”

Trump is doing irreparable damage.  Take decades to undo.  Time for Trump's henchmen and fellow Republicans to rein in this out of control lunatic.

The Washington Post reports:

"On Sunday, two Democratic presidential candidates said Trump had exaggerated what his tariff threats against Mexico had accomplished. They echoed a New York Times report alleging that the Mexican government had already agreed to several terms of the deal before Trump publicly floated the prospect of tariffs. “These are agreements that Mexico had already made, in some cases months ago,” former congressman Beto O’Rourke said in an interview on ABC’s “This Week.” “They might have accelerated the timetable, but by and large the president achieved nothing except to jeopardize the most important trading relationship that the United States of America has.” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) also said Trump had repackaged earlier agreements with Mexico to declare success in the trade standoff during an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I think what the world is tired of, and what I am tired of, is a president who consistently goes to war, verbal war, with our allies,” Sanders said, adding that Trump should focus on achieving comprehensive immigration reform. “We need a decent relationship with Mexico. They are our allies, as is the case with Canada. We should not be confronting them every other day.”

Trump is growing increasingly impudent, delusional, unhinged, -- and desperate.  The Washington Post reports:

"President Trump on Monday threatened to impose large tariffs on $300 billion in imports if Chinese leader Xi Jinping did not meet with him in Japan later this month, showing how he plans to immediately pivot from his trade war with Mexico back to Beijing. Trump, in a wide-ranging and apparently impromptu interview with CNBC, said he was “scheduled to have a meeting” with Xi during the Group of 20 summit in Osaka, but Chinese officials have refused to publicly confirm the gathering."

Imagine that.  Interesting, isn't it?

“We do not want a trade war, but we are not afraid of fighting one,” said Geng Shuang, spokesman for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “If the U.S. is ready to have equal consultations, our door is wide open. But if it insists on escalating trade frictions, we will respond to it with resolution and perseverance.”

Fascinating, isn't it?

Our fuhrer is behaving more like a Mafia don than President of the United States:

"If Xi doesn’t meet with him, Trump said that he will move forward with tariffs on $300 billion in Chinese imports, which includes numerous consumer products. “China is going to make a deal because they are going to have to make a deal,” Trump said."

The mark of a nazi dictator:

"The interview signaled that Trump plans to use the same adversarial approach with foreign leaders in the coming weeks that he has used for more than a year. Based on his comments, he does not appear stung by the growing criticism from business groups and GOP lawmakers who have openly questioned whether he is misusing tariffs as a policy tool in a way that could hurt the U.S. economy. Trump brushed aside the criticism and said his approach is the only one that gets results. “Tariffs are a beautiful thing when you are the piggy bank,” Trump said."

This man is insane.  The public is looted to pay the tariffs.

Another step backwards.  NPR reports:

"If you're poor or low-income in the U.S. and take advantage of government safety net programs, you could be affected by a number of new rules and actions proposed by the Trump administration. Most of the changes are still pending, and anti-poverty groups are trying to stop them from going into effect. Some of the proposals already face legal challenges. President Trump has said repeatedly that he wants to get more people off government aid and into the workforce so they can become self-sufficient. To help do that, he issued an executive order last year to reduce poverty "by promoting opportunity and economic mobility."

Empty, hollow, meaningless rhetoric.  The top of the food chain, including our fuhrer, the Trump nazi, make their money the old fashioned way, -- by looting the labor of the work force.  Unless and until there is a federal minimum wage that is livable, nothing changes.  That livable wage would need to be based regionally and change as conditions required.  Not impossible, but certainly extremely difficult since employers would scream bloody murder.  -- Too goddamned accustomed to doing exactly as they pleased.  Especially over the last 25 years or so.  Worse?  Best interests of shareholders always trump those of the 'grunts' doing the work.

"In it, Trump called on federal agencies to streamline existing welfare programs, strengthen work requirements and make sure that taxpayer money is spent on "those who are truly in need."

Disingenuous bullshit.  Already been happening since the Clinton regime.  -- One of a number of reasons why the gap between the top and bottom has exponentially grown.  ... Why the middle class is, indeed, an endangered species.

"But anti-poverty advocates say the administration's proposals would hurt, rather than help, poor Americans. They say it will make it more difficult for those trying to become self-sufficient by denying them food, housing and medical assistance when they need it most."

Top of the food chain, with rare exception, doesn't give a f--k about the middle class and bottom.  Forget?  It's how the hopelessly greedy bastards shamelessly line their pockets.  Greed rules.  What better way to enrich oneself than by stealing labor, manufacturing shoddy products cleverly designed to need quick replacement?  This occurs because capitalism is designedly, determinedly laissez-faire, that is, either poorly regulated or not regulated at all.  Until this changes, the top of the food chain will continue to steal labor.

"They really are trying to use every agency to make life harder for people who are low-income," says Elizabeth Lower-Basch, director of income and work supports at the Center for Law and Social Policy."

The American Way.  Yet, these hopelessly greedy, hypocritical sons of bitches go to church every Sunday, praising the Lord on bended knee for their good fortune, while f--king the living shit out of the bottom and middle class.

"Deborah Weinstein, executive director of the Coalition on Human Needs, which represents about 100 anti-poverty groups nationwide, calls the volume of proposals targeting the safety net "head spinning."

Why?  Why should this surprise anyone?  It is, and has been, the American Way for generations.  Our fuhrer, the Trump nazi, is no more than icing on the cake.  The coup de grace.  ... Most perverse example of this ongoing, concerted ass-f--king by the top of the food chain on the bottom and middle class.  Until this changes, conditions will worsen.

The report goes on and on in great detail.  The f--king would be massive.  Coming at a time an unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looms on an exponentially increasing number of issues.  ... Hear the rumble?  One thing for sure, none of this is sustainable.  Worst, yet to come.

'Symbolism over substance'? The Washington Post reports:

"The House took its strongest step yet in the standoff with President Trump over congressional oversight, voting Tuesday to seek court enforcement of subpoenas for Attorney General William P. Barr and former White House counsel Donald McGahn. On a party-line vote of 229-to-191, the House passed a resolution that would empower the House Judiciary Committee to go to court against Barr and McGahn over non-compliance with requests for documents and testimony."

About time.  What took so long?

"The vote keeps Democrats squarely on a meticulous investigative track favored by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and other top leaders — and away from the formal impeachment inquiry that some 60 rank-and-file Democrats and several 2020 presidential candidates have been seeking."

What's happening here is appalling.  Democrats are deliberately abrogating their constitutional duty to impeach.  Interminably, failing to hold a corrupt, abusive, unstable tyrant accountable.  Placing partisan interests ahead of principle.

"Still, the House vote reflects the frustration among Democrats with Trump’s unwillingness to cooperate with congressional investigators who argue they have a constitutional right to examine the executive branch. “This is a dark time. This Congress is being tested — in this case, not by a foreign adversary, but by our own president,” said House Rules Committee Chairman Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), adding that Trump’s blanket policy of not complying with congressional subpoenas makes “Richard Nixon look like an Eagle Scout.”

It's far, far worse than that as covered continuously in this publication and elsewhere.

"House Republicans lambasted Tuesday’s vote as a distraction from bigger issues facing the country, including the southern border crisis. Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) borrowed one of Trump’s favorite descriptions, calling the vote “presidential harassment.”

Your fuhrer, the Trump nazi, has exacerbated the migrant crisis the last two and a half years.  Republican national socialists, fascists, nazis have failed to rein in this abomination, this failed president.  Democrats, to date, all talk, no substantive action.

“When you go around the country, you don’t hear people saying they want to continue going down this rathole of witch hunts and impeachments,” he told reporters. “They’re on this witch hunt, this search to fund [find?] something, as opposed to focusing on the problems of this country.”

More horse shit.  Mueller laid out ten examples of possible obstruction for the House to investigate.  Not only that, state and federal prosecutors are presently conducting criminal investigations of Trump that are nowhere near as limited as the Mueller investigation.

"Democrats have already gone to federal judges in Washington and New York to seek enforcement of subpoenas targeting Trump’s financial records that are in the possession of private companies. They have scored initial wins in trial courts, but appeals are likely to play out over the coming months — a sluggish timeline that has fueled the push for impeachment."

Exactly, right.  Democrats are gutlessly dragging their feet.

Ferociously, pointedly:

"The vote stops short of a criminal contempt citation, a more serious sanction, and it comes a day after the Justice Department agreed to begin providing materials gathered by former special counsel Robert S. Mueller III during his nearly two-year probe of Russian interference in the 2016 election. Still, Democrats cast the vote as their most serious move yet in a campaign to hold Trump accountable for his actions to derail Mueller’s investigation."

'Symbolism over substance.'  Gutlessness on the part of Democrats.  Equally to the point, why have Democrats failed to impose "Inherent Contempt?"  Has been available for approximately a century.  Empowers the House Sergeant-At-Arms to arrest and jail those who fail to honor subpoenas.

"Speaking at the Peter G. Peterson Foundation’s Fiscal Summit Tuesday, Pelosi said “not even close” to a majority of House Democrats favor launching impeachment proceedings against Trump and would not say whether she would allow an inquiry to proceed if most Democrats favored one."

You're the problem, Madam Speaker.  So are others who think like you.  You're failing to hold Trump accountable.

“Why are we speculating on hypotheticals?” Pelosi asked. She also argued that Trump’s attacks on her — he called her a “a nasty, vindictive, horrible person” last week — have only bolstered her political standing. “My stock goes up every time he attacks me,” said Pelosi."

On the contrary, Madam Speaker.  He's made you look like an ineffective, gutless fool.

Report goes on and on.  Empty rhetoric.  No substantive action.  Matters not what happens in the Senate after impeachment.  Would tie up the fuhrer the rest of his term.  Make him effectively a lame duck immediately.  Limit the scope of the damage this fascist bastard has already done.  Take years to undo, regardless.

Republicans finally beginning to wake up?  In follow up to a recent edition, ABC News reports:

"Congress is moving ahead with legislation to block $8 billion of arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates after the Trump administration declared an "emergency" to bypass Congress and move ahead with the controversial sale over lawmakers' objections given the two countries' human rights records. Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs R. Clarke Cooper was called up to defend the decision Wednesday, but faced a grilling from both Republicans and Democrats on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. While the Trump administration has defended the U.S. relationship with Saudi Arabia, Congress has said business as usual must end, in particular because of the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi agents and the Saudi and Emirati-led coalition's bombing campaign in Yemen.

"There is no emergency. It's phony, it's made up, and it's an abuse of the law -- once again, attempting to cut Congress out of the whole picture," said the committee's chair, Rep. Eliot Engel, D-N.Y. "This is not a dictatorship. We don't rule this country by fiat ... Remember when you were in school and you learned checks and balances? Congress is a coequal branch of government." The committee's highest-ranking Republican, Rep. Mike McCaul, called the move "unfortunate" and said he was blindsided by it after talking to National Security Adviser John Bolton a week prior to the emergency declaration. He and Engel both questioned how it was an emergency if the transfer of most of these weapons would take months, if not years in some cases -- and why the administration didn't give Congress a formal 30-day notice instead to allow it to vote on the sales."

The increasing lack of transparency in the Supreme Court is a portend of far, far worse to come.  NPR reports:

"The state of Alabama executed convicted murderer Christopher Price last week, just hours after the U.S. Supreme Court refused to grant a stay of execution. The action was not particularly unusual except for one thing — half of the briefs in the case were blacked out, so the public could not see them, and virtually all of the record in the case was sealed. It is rare for the Supreme Court to allow such deletions, and on Friday, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and NPR filed a motion with the Supreme Court requesting it unseal the material that was blocked from public view."

As well, it should.  What are the five Republican nazis on the Court so desperate to hide?

More disturbing?  Get this:

"None of the information that has been sealed has anything to do with the defendant's guilt. Rather, the information involves the drugs and the protocol Alabama uses for executions. Price wanted to be executed by nitrogen gas, which he contended would be less painful than death by lethal injection using a drug called midazolam, which Alabama ultimately did use in the execution."

The public is entitled to this information.  Has a right to know precisely how officials are killing prisoners in the name of the people.

"The Supreme Court itself has often been mired in bitter debate about the death penalty in recent years, but it has not hidden the disputes from the public — until this case. All of the deletions were at the insistence of Alabama, the reporters committee noted."

What is the State of Alabama hiding?  Ferociously pointedly, why is our national socialist, achingly fascist Court enabling this lack of transparency?

"The state did not provide any explanation for its asserted need for secrecy," citing only its need "to reference certain material ... designated 'confidential,' " the committee said. "Alabama has no legitimate interest that justifies sealing either its lethal injection protocol or expert evidence regarding the effects of midazolam."

Then why is it doing so?  Equally to the point, why are five achingly fascist Republicans on the Court enabling this?

"The reporters committee noted that in even in the Pentagon Papers case in 1971 — a case in which the government claimed a national security interest in barring publication — the briefs were unredacted, available to the press and public, and oral arguments were conducted publicly, with only parts of the court appendix sealed."

Fascinating, isn't it?

"In 2018, Chief Justice John Roberts called the judiciary "the most transparent branch in government." And the Supreme Court has long upheld the right of access to a wide range of judicial proceedings and records, because, as the court has put it, the constitutional right of access "enhances the quality and safeguards the integrity of the fact-finding process" and allows "the public to participate in and serve as a check upon the judicial process — an essential component in our structure of self-government."

Then, why the hell is our achingly fascist Republican Chief Justice clearly reversing course?

"The court has also said that court proceedings cannot be closed "unless specific, on-the-record findings are made demonstrating that closure is essential to preserve higher values" and that the closure is "narrowly tailored to serve that interest." There were no such findings made by any of the lower courts. Instead, Price's lawyers said they had to agree to Alabama's demand that the record be closed to get Price's claim heard by the appellate courts and ultimately get the case up to the Supreme Court."

No more than kangaroo justice.  In a de facto fascist police-state quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  The increasing lack of transparency is a direct, exigent threat to a democratic republic.  ... In our formerly great country, -- that remains a democratic republic in name only.  Courtesy of the traitorous, treasonous nazi element.

"Defense lawyer Aaron Katz said in an interview that the reason he agreed to let the record be closed to the public and press in the lower courts is that he was running out of time, with the execution date set for May 30. "You can't afford any sideshow" in circumstances like this, he said. "You've essentially got to agree to whatever terms the state forces" on you "to get the information you need to prove your case." To go down a "rabbit hole" fight for public disclosure is "just a waste of time" when you are fighting for a more humane method of an imminent execution, he said."

Ultimately, you were not successful anyway.  A massive failure not only for your client, but those of us in this country who believe in justice, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties determinedly eviscerated by the nazi element.

"Katz said he did ask the state to allow unredacted briefs at least in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, but the state refused, as it did when Katz made the same request for the Supreme Court briefs."

At that point, should have courageously resigned from the defense in protest.  Gone directly to the press.  Made a stink to high heaven.  Drawn public attention to this gross miscarriage of due process.  End result of all your efforts?  The state wound up doing as it pleased.

"Katie Townsend, legal director for the reporters committee, said her organization is asking the Supreme Court to unseal the briefs filed in the Supreme Court."

Too little, too late.

"The high court perhaps agreed to Alabama's request to seal the briefs because of the time considerations in the emergency stay application, but, she said, the court should not let that precedent stand."

The Court does as it pleases.  This Court is now run and owned by five national socialists, fascists.

"Alabama's claim that it needs to keep all that information secret is "crazy," she said. How can it be "that the state gets away with saying to the public, 'We're not going to tell you our legal arguments, or allow you to see our evidence, which goes to the heart of the legal issue,'" Townsend said." Were this secrecy order to stand, she said, "other lawyers can't find out what the legal arguments or evidence was in this case." Indeed, in the dissenting opinion filed by four justices in the Price case, the dissenting justices wrote an opinion that referred to the very material in the record that has been blocked from view."

The four dissenters should have had the courage to stand tall.  Released the information to the public.  Stood up to the five Republican nazis on the Court.

"Katz, Price's lawyer, underscored the problem. "Technically, I can't disclose to you what my expert testified to in a deposition that took place in a law firm in Atlanta two weeks ago," he said. "The idea that that's appropriate is pretty absurd."

Should have done so anyway no matter the consequences.  Stood tall.  Our democratic republic is no more.  In name only.  Thanks to the nazi element in our formerly great country.

"Mike Lewis, a spokesman for the Alabama attorney general, said the state sought to keep the records and arguments secret "out of concern for the safety of correctional officers as well as inmates."

Delusional Catch-22 horse shit.  You ought to be ashamed of yourself, Mr. Lewis.  So should the Alabama Attorney General.  This is traitorous, treasonous, concerted, determined nazi abrogation of due process.

"But Katz said he has never sought to disclose the names of corrections officers or anyone else involved in the execution."

Beside the point.  The public is entitled to know the identify of all officials involved in the killing of the condemned.  These officials are killing in the name of the citizenry.  The citizenry is entitled to know who's doing what and by what authority.

"The reporters committee points to the availability of appellate records that extends "far back in the nation's history," and it points to a more recent opinion issued by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. That decision declared that "the public cannot have confidence that the nation's appellate courts issue well-reasoned and fair opinions derived from facts and legal arguments the parties present if the case proceeds with key argument and evidence under seal."

That's right.  Precisely, what the nazi element in our formerly great country wants.  Demands.  Traitorously, treasonously imposes.  Nazi America.

"The circuit court opinion was written by President Barack Obama's failed Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland, and joined by his then-colleague Brett Kavanaugh, later appointed to the Supreme Court by President Trump."

What webs we weave.

Nazi justice.  NPR reports:

"The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear an appeal from a Yemeni prisoner held without charge at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for more than 17 years. But Justice Stephen Breyer, in a two-page "statement" called attention to the case, declaring that it is "past time" to examine the indefinite detention of prisoners there. "In my judgment," Breyer wrote, "it is past time to confront the difficult questions" left open.

"There are just 40 prisoners remaining at Guantanamo Bay, and just nine of them have been convicted of, or still face war crimes charges. Moath al-Alwi was captured by bounty hunters in Pakistan near the Afghanistan border in 2001 and turned over to the U.S. military. He has never been charged with any war crime. The U.S. government says he admitted to serving with the Taliban prior to his capture in 2001, but his lawyers maintain that he never used arms against American or coalition forces. Since Guantanamo, known for short as Gitmo, was opened, some 780 prisoners have passed through its doors. Of these, 532 were released by the Bush administration, 197 by the Obama administration and one by the Trump administration. Five still at Gitmo have been recommended for release. Al-Alwi is among the remaining 26 being held under indefinite "law of war detention." He appealed to the Supreme Court, contending that the U.S. government no longer has the authority to detain him without charge, because the conflict in which he was detained has, for all practical purposes, ended. In addition, he claims that since there has never been any showing that he was engaged in combat against U.S. forces, holding him without charge in perpetuity is unconstitutional. The high court declined to hear his appeal, but in its announcement on Monday, Justice Breyer attached a written "statement."

Kangaroo justice.  Nazi America.  We've lost ourselves.

Alabama has again disgraced itself.  NPR reports:

"The University of Alabama's board of trustees has voted to return a $21.5 million gift from Hugh Culverhouse Jr. — the school's biggest donor — and take his name off its law school. The move comes after Culverhouse urged businesses and prospective students to boycott the university and the state over Alabama's new abortion law."

For damned good reason.  An outrageously unconstitutional law that denies the right of a woman to do as she pleases with HER uterus.  Alabama delusionally believes it owns YOUR uterus, ladies.  Does it?

"The school says the transaction to return the funds was processed Friday morning and that it will also return any accrued interest. Last fall, Culverhouse pledged to donate a total of $26.5 million over four years."

This is precisely the way to confront nazi government and its shills.  Hit 'em hard in the wallet.  Make it as costly to the nazi element as possible.  These fascist bastards are determined to force their perverse ideological and religious views on all by statute.  Direct violation of the First Amendment Establishment Clause, church-state separation, that is, freedom from religion.  F--k these traitorous, treasonous assholes.

Achingly lame, bogus bullshit:

"The action taken by the Board today was a direct result of Mr. Culverhouse's ongoing attempts to interfere in the operations of the Law School," the university's vice chancellor for communication, Kellee Reinhart, said Friday. "That was the only reason the Board voted to remove his name and return his money."

Culverhouse did precisely the right thing.  Stuck it to the nazi element.  Should consider donating the returned funds to Planned Parenthood and/or other charities fighting for the right to abortion.

"Culverhouse issued a statement Friday in which he renewed his call for students "to protest and reconsider their educational options in Alabama."

Here, here.  Precisely, what should be done.  Resist the nazi element.

"I expected this response from UA," he said. "I will not allow my family's name to be associated with an educational system that advocates a state law which discriminates against women, disregards established Federal law and violates our Constitution."

Precisely, the issue.  F--k the treasonous, traitorous nazi element.  If great evil is not courageously stood up to, great evil triumphs.  Life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties remain in jeopardy courtesy of the nazi element in our formerly great country.

"I want to make clear that I never demanded that $21.5 million be refunded and wonder if the University is attempting to silence my opinions by their quick response. I will not be silenced."

None of us should be.  Takes courage to stand up to these traitors.  No matter the personal cost.  Had Italians done so at the rise of Mussolini, Germans at the rise of Hitler, the world could have been spared all the death and destruction.

"The president of the university, Stuart Bell, said in a statement, "This decision was made for reasons of academic and institutional integrity. I appreciate the actions of the Chancellor and our Board of Trustees and their unwavering support of these intrinsic values."

These 'intrinsic values' are no more than national socialism, fascism, nazism.  Your university has disgraced itself.

"Culverhouse, a Florida lawyer and investor whose father was a longtime owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, made the largest donation in the school's 187-year history last September when he committed to give $26.5 million. The school had not yet received the remaining $5 million. But months after the donation was announced, Culverhouse joined those calling for a boycott of Alabama after the governor signed a restrictive abortion law, which outlaws nearly all abortions and does not include exceptions for cases of rape or incest. Culverhouse's attorney, Lawrence Kellogg, was quoted last month by Florida Politics as saying, "Sixty-six percent of the students at Alabama pay out-of-state tuition. A boycott by them could certainly be effective."

This needs to occur across the country.

"While the university has acknowledged having a dispute with Culverhouse, it insists the decision about his donation is related only to concerns about matters at the school, not at the statehouse."

Horse shit.  Unadulterated.  Colleges and universities are about the pursuit of truth, determined, relentless embrace of reality.  Not gutless capitulation to a national socialist, fascist, nazi ideology.

"University officials say the school had nothing to do with the abortion law and that there was an ongoing dispute with Culverhouse over how his donation would be used," NPR's Debbie Elliott reports. "Culverhouse says he thought it had been resolved and believes the trustees' vote is in retaliation for his position on the abortion ban." The university says Culverhouse had previously requested the return of $10 million and that he was also making demands about how the money was spent. Last week, University of Alabama System Chancellor Finis St. John recommended to the board that it return Culverhouse's $21.5 million donation to the law school."

Clearly, someone's lying.  Culverhouse needs to release all documentation and other evidence supporting his claims.  So should the university.  Let the public decide, on the basis of the evidence who the hell is lying, who is telling the truth.  Bottom line here remains the same, however.  These returned funds should go to Planned Parenthood, and/or other charities supporting and defending the right to abortion.  Again, f--k the nazi element.

"On Friday, St. John spoke to the board again as it prepared to vote on the issue. He reiterated his earlier position, saying Culverhouse's expectations for how his gift would be used are "inconsistent with the essential values of academic integrity and independent administration" of the university and its law school. When Culverhouse committed to making the unprecedented gift last fall, the university decided to rename its law school after him. But within hours of Friday's action by the board, university workers began the process of dismantling Culverhouse's name from the signage outside the law school. The university's business school is named for his father, Hugh Sr. Culverhouse went to college in Florida — but he was born in Alabama, and both of his parents went to the University of Alabama and were involved in athletics there. His previous gifts to the school have included more than $2 million to support women's golf scholarships in honor of his mother, who played golf for the Crimson Tide."

Obviously, this dispute is going to cost the university dearly financially.

Clearly, however, and for both sides, principle trumps money:

"But in the current dispute, Culverhouse also mentioned his family's social and political legacy. "My father was an officer of Planned Parenthood in Jacksonville, Florida, during the 1950s," Culverhouse said in May, according to Florida Politics. Referring to the abortion law, he added, "This is a civil rights issue that has been important to my family for many years."

Hat's off.  Continue to stand tall.  F--k the bastards.

More of the same.  No resolution.  NPR reports:

"The University of Alabama has released a series of internal emails regarding mega-donor Hugh Culverhouse, Jr., saying the documents back the university's contention that its rejection of Culverhouse's $21.5 million gift had nothing to do [with] his stance against Alabama's strict abortion law. Culverhouse had also called for prospective students to boycott the school. "Our decision was never about the issue of abortion," the university said as it released emails that are from, to and about Culverhouse. Instead, the school said, the decision was "about ending the continued outside interference by the donor." In response to the university's release of the email records, Culverhouse said he's glad they emerged — and he contends that the emails back his claim that the university disagreed with his political stance."

More to come as it becomes available.  Still no resolution.

Priorities in Alabama are certainly screwed up.  Incomprehensible.  Achingly, perverse. The Washington Post reports:

"When a young woman came to the Family Services of North Alabama office last year for help with trauma, saying she had been raped by her step-uncle when she was 15, rape crisis advocate Portia Shepherd heard something that “killed me, shocked me.” The step-uncle, who was getting out of jail after a drug conviction, wanted to be a part of their child’s life. And in Alabama, the alleged rapist could get custody."

Day is night, night is day, and shit smells perversely sweet.  All ass backwards.

“It’s the craziest thing I ever heard in my life,” said Shepherd. “On the state level, people were shocked. How could Alabama even be missing this law?”

Courtesy of the Nazi Right.

"Alabama is one of two states with no statute terminating parental rights for a person found to have conceived the child by rape or incest, a fact that has gained fresh relevance since its lawmakers adopted the nation’s strictest abortion ban in May. That statute even outlaws the procedure for victims of sexual assault and jails doctors who perform it, except in cases of serious risk to the woman’s health."

The Nazi Right believes it owns YOUR uterus, ladies.  Does it?

"While the Alabama abortion law has been challenged in court, abortion rights activists fear it could reduce access to the procedure, forcing rape victims to bear children and co-parent with their attackers."

Jesus Christ.  How about that?  Insanity is indeed alive and well.

"Last month, Alabama lawmakers considered a bill that addressed ending parental rights in cases of rape that result in conception, but the legislature removed that language, limiting the law to cases in which people sexually assault their children. State Sen. Vivian Figures (D) and other lawmakers believed the language that was removed could have excluded boys who were assaulted, because they cannot get pregnant. Figures said she didn’t know Alabama lacked a statute preventing rapists from gaining custody of their offspring, but told The Washington Post that she now plans to introduce a bill in the next legislative session. “It’s just flat out ugly, unfair and even dangerous to these mothers and children,” said Figures, who voted against the state’s abortion ban."

The following is an example of Uncommon Valor in the business community.  ... A business community suffering from all the abortion bans passed recently.  ABC News reports:

"A hotel in small-town Michigan is offering free accommodation to any woman traveling to the state to have an abortion. Shelley O'Brien, manager of The Yale Hotel in the tiny town of Yale, Michigan, made the offer in a post on the hotel's official Facebook page last month, following a spate of sweeping abortion bans passed in a number of states.

"Dear sisters that live in Alabama, Ohio, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, or any of the other states that follow with similar laws restricting access, we cannot do anything about the way you are being treated in your home-state," O'Brien wrote. "But, if you can make it to Michigan, we will support you with several nights lodging, and transportation to and from your appointment."

"The Facebook post has been shared more than 3,000 times."

Way to go.  Stand tall.  F--k the nazi element in our formerly great country.

"O'Brien later added an update to the May 16 post, saying she's received telephone numbers of people willing to help drive women to the hotel, which is located about 65 miles north of Detroit. "We've got some amazing people in our village," she wrote. "We've got your backs."

Someone has to.  The Nazi Right in our formerly great country delusionally believes it owns YOUR uterus, ladies.  Does it?

Republican national socialists, fascists, nazis are out of control.  Democrats are all talk, no action.  End result is women are being f--ked over by these traitorous, treacherous, treasonous assholes:

"More than 350 pieces of legislation that would restrict abortion access have been introduced in states across the country this year, according to the Guttmacher Institute, a reproductive rights research group that was initially started as part of Planned Parenthood, but officially separated in 2007 and has been operating independently ever since. So far in 2019, 17 bans on abortion have been signed in 10 states -- but none have gone into effect because they are all facing a legal challenge or have delayed starts. For now, abortion remains legal in every state. Last month, Michigan's Republican-controlled House of Representatives and Senate both voted to ban second-trimester abortion procedures and make it a felony for doctors to perform them, except to save a woman's life. But Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat, has vowed to veto any legislation that restricts abortion access."

... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming on this, and many, many other issues.  As our formerly great country transitions from a de facto fascist police-state to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.

Wells Fargo.  Outrageous corruption.  More of the same.  ABC News reports:

"Wells Fargo has agreed to pay at least $385 million to settle a California lawsuit alleging it signed up thousands of auto loan customers for costly car insurance without their consent, resulting in many having their vehicles repossessed."

Called legalized theft.  Yet, no one sent to prison.  Imagine that.  ... Aren't you lucky, Amanda?

"The bank filed the agreement Thursday in a federal court in Santa Ana. It still needs a judge's approval. Another defendant, National General Insurance, agreed to pay $7.5 million, the New York Post reported."

Again, why the hell hasn't anyone been criminally prosecuted, sent to prison?

"San Francisco-based Wells Fargo confirmed the agreement Friday and called it "an important step in making things right." The bank's statement said that it will be sending checks to affected customers. The 2017 class-action lawsuit alleged that for more than a decade, Wells Fargo tacked on insurance to customers' car loans that they didn't need because they had private insurance."

Where the hell were bank regulators?  Paid off?

"Some 25,000 car owners couldn't meet the additional fees and had their vehicles repossessed, the suit alleged."

Legalized theft in a goddamned de facto fascist police-state, quickly transitioning to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.

"The bank acknowledged in 2017 that $80 million in unnecessary insurance charges had been added to 800,000 auto loans."

Jesus Christ.  No one prosecuted.  Shoplift a convenience store, Walmart, any retail business?  Get your sorry ass rightfully jailed.  Why no equal justice?

"It's one in a series of scandals involving the banking giant, starting in 2016 with the uncovering of millions of fake checking accounts its employees opened to meet sales quotas."

Making this ongoing criminal activity and lack of criminal justice all the more appalling.

"That led to the resignation of CEO John Stumpf."

Why wasn't this piece of crap criminally prosecuted?  Forget?  Never happens when the criminal works for a huge bank.  ... Right, Amanda?  Aren't you lucky, dearest lady?

"Last year, the Federal Reserve capped the size of Wells Fargo's assets, and Stumpf's replacement, Tim Sloan stepped down in March. New improprieties had come to light on his watch, including the auto loan issues."

Yet, no one criminally prosecuted.  No one imprisoned.  The American Way.  Forget?

"Federal regulators who lost patience with Wells Fargo's continued bad behavior inflicted harsh punishments. Wells had to pay a $1 billion fine last year to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. But more importantly, the Federal Reserve stepped in and handcuffed Wells' ability to grow its business until the bank could prove that it had gotten its house in order."

Jesus Christ.  What the f--k is going on here?  Why the hell do these criminal pieces of shit get protected, coddled, not criminally prosecuted, imprisoned?  Why no equal justice?

Coup de grace?  Get this:

"Despite the restrictions, Wells Fargo reported in March that it earned $5.86 billion and profits rose by 14% from a year earlier, helped by higher interest rates."

... Hear the rumble?  An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming on this, and an exponentially increasing number of other issues.

Fran,

All three Liberty In Peril FTP servers are down and apparently have been
hacked.  The three websites, however, remain up and running at time of
writing.  That is, libertyinperil.twomini.com, libertyinperil.wink.ws, and
libertyinperil.t15.org are accessible and running.  Only FTP access has
been effected making it impossible to upload.

The Filezilla messaging on twomini is:

and t15 FTP servers. This hacking attack apparently occurred the day
after Wells Fargo closed two accounts because I publicly accused them of
criminal activity.  Your company needs to look into this matter. Get these
FTP servers up and running again.  A criminal complaint will be filed with
the U.S. Attorney regarding all the ongoing criminal activity by Wells
Fargo, now extended to hacking and undue interference with the webhosts.
Has 2freehosting been bribed and/or pressured by Wells Fargo?  Certainly,
one of numerous questions to be forwarded to criminal prosecutors.

All three Liberty In Peril FTP servers are down and apparently have been
hacked.  The three websites, however, remain up and running at time of
writing.  That is, libertyinperil.twomini.com, libertyinperil.wink.ws, and
libertyinperil.t15.org are accessible and running.  Only FTP access has
been effected making it impossible to upload. This hacking attack

Welcome.   Liberty In Peril has been relaunched at a new URL:
libertyinperil.com. This is a new commercial site hosted in an overseas
country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers.  Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible.  -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle.  No more bullsh-t.  Criminal complaints will be
prepared and filed against Amanda Wright, Lynn Massey, and the equally
criminal bastards in the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for
egregious deceptive trade practices.

Email notification of local businesses of these practices, has and will,
continue unabated until Wells Fargo accepts responsibility, ceases these
practices, and finally makes it right.  During the last several weeks
after the ftp servers were hacked, a blizzard of these emails was sent to
local businesses to keep intense pressure on the criminal bastards at
Wells Fargo.  Copies of these emails were sent to bank officials.  They
have been posted in this publication. ... We're already up to Salvo 74, --
and counting.

In addition, all new Newsletter Editions will feature an
available abbreviated version, smart phone friendly, that can be accessed
by clicking on the icon. Will supplement the regular format of this
publication.  This is being done because so many of you access this
publication with smart phones and other devices with small screens.

This site has finally been fully uploaded.  All links appear to be
properly working.  Typos in the rush to get material up have also been
corrected.  There will be a few additional changes to be made as time
allows.  Including, again, a smart phone-friendly abbreviated version of
each future Newsletter Edition starting with v434 that will be available
in addition to the regular edition.

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this
publication, that is exposure of corrupt, abusive, inept, clueless
government lackeys beholden to their corporate masters, rather than
dealing with recalcitrant webhosts.  We'll see.  With the
libertyinperil.com domain, however, any necessary changes in webhosts will
be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated.  Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well.  Forget?  The bank
is considered too big to fail.  Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true.  They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked.  What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support.  Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however.  Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it.  Certainly, have the
resources.  Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved.  Hard to believe they would be that stupid.  The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys.  The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further
exposure in this publication. Should you have information regarding this
or any other issue, contact me.  I will protect your identity.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor?  Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX.  A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted  branch manager. Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking onWells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 240, 2-8-19.

The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards.  Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result?  Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility.  Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.

JP2 Linda Ballard Recording

Click herefor a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.'  The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request.   During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire.  Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint.  All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.

Publication of this material, however, should in no way be interpreted as endorsement of Ballard's opponent, Steve Lange, in the upcoming runoff.  It is not.  It is provided as a public service to expose the 'judge' for exactly whom and what she is.
