While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception. On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe. She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop. She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office. Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it. Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this? Think this hasn't happened to others?

As always, when an officer or officers do something heroic and/or of exceptional benefit to the community, it leads. Always. NPR reports:

"Police officers respond to a shooting in Aurora, Ill., Friday afternoon. A gunman killed five people, then wounded five police officers in a firefight. The gunman who killed five people in Aurora, Ill., and wounded five police officers started shooting after learning he was being fired, police said on Saturday."

Uncommon Valor. Officers did precisely what they had to do under horrendous conditions.

"Police in Aurora identified the shooter as Gary Montez Martin, a 45-year-old man who had been arrested six times in Aurora, including for "domestic violence related issues." Police chief Kristen Ziman said investigators were reviewing how Martin — who was killed after exchanging gunfire with police — obtained the gun he used, but said, "Absolutely he was not supposed to be in possession of a firearm."

"Police also named the victims killed in the shooting, which took place at a warehouse for the Henry Pratt Company, a valve manufacturer. They are Clayton Parks, who worked in human resources; Trevor Wehner, a human resources intern and student at Northern Illinois University; Russell Beyer, a mold operator; Vicente Juarez, a stock room attendant and forklift operator; and Josh Pinkard, the company's plant manager."

"Three of those killed were in the meeting with Martin on Friday when he was told he would be fired, according to Ziman. The 15-year Henry Pratt employee shot all five people within a five-minute span, police said. One other person was being treated for gunshot wounds that weren't considered life-threatening. Aurora police also gave more information about the officers wounded in the gunfight that killed the shooter about an hour-and-a-half after he began shooting. Two officers were in stable condition, two had already been released from the hospital, and one was expected to be released later Saturday. Another officer suffered minor wounds that weren't from gunfire."

"Illinois authorities sent shooter Gary Montez Martin, 45, a letter telling him to relinquish any firearms. It is not clear if they followed up. To own a gun, Illinois residents are required to have a Firearms Owners' Identification, or FOID, card issued by the state. Martin had legally obtained a FOID card in January 2014 and bought a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber handgun in March of that year, police said. Days after buying the gun, he applied for a conceal-carry permit. Police discovered a 1995 conviction for felony aggravated assault in Mississippi — an offense they said might not have turned up on the background check necessary for a FOID card. Police revoked his FOID card and sent him a letter telling him to relinquish any firearms. Ziman said police records show that the letter was sent, but she doesn't know whether police attempted to follow up."

Fascinating, isn't it? That will certainly be determined as the investigation continues. Regardless, the criminal element will always be able to obtain a firearm. Only the law-abiding obey the law. Forget?

"A man sent his wife a text message telling her that he loved her during a mass shooting at a manufacturing warehouse outside Chicago on the day after Valentine's Day. "I love you, I've been shot at work," Josh Pinkard said in the message to Terra Pinkard. She wrote about the message and her efforts to find her husband in a Facebook post Sunday morning. Josh Pinkard was among the five victims killed in Aurora, Illinois.

"Josh Pinkard was the company's plant manager. His wife couldn't believe his message that he had been shot. "It took me several times reading it for it to hit me that it was for real," Terra Pinkard said. "I called his phone several times, text, FaceTime, nothing." She called the plant. A woman answered, saying she was "barricaded in her room and police were everywhere," Pinkard said.

"My heart dropped," she said. She put her children in a car and drove to the plant, where a police officer blocking the road couldn't give her any information. "I drove to the nearest hospital. He wasn't there," Pinkard said. "I drove to the second nearest hospital. Not there."

"Later, the police department gathered victims' families. Pinkard heard her husband's name read among the fatalities, and then she went to pick up her children. "With my pastors help, since family was still on planes to get to us, I told my children their dad did not make it and is in heaven with Jesus," Pinkard said. "I've never had to do something that hard."

"Pinkard called her husband the smartest person she's ever met and her best friend."

"The man I would have leaned on during devastation like this who would tell me it's ok Terra, it is all going to be fine," Pinkard said. "The man who was dying and found the clarity of mind for just a second to send me one last text to let me know he would always love me. This unbelievable person was robbed from us."

As always, when an officer or officers do something heroic and/or of exceptional benefit to the community, it leads. Always. Second incident this edition. WRTV-6 Indianapolis reports:

"Police officers in Greenwood went above and beyond to replace a little girl's toys after they were stolen from her home during a burglary earlier this month. Greenwood police say Officer A.J. Calvert responded to the residential burglary on February 2. During his investigation, Officer Calvert discovered that all of 4-year-old Evelyn's Shopkins toys had been taken, along with other items from the home. The little girl was very upset and Officer Calvert decided to take it upon himself to replace them. Greenwood police say he asked coworkers and friends if they had any unwanted Shopkins and he even received some cash donations to buy Evelyn new toys. Officer's Calvert and Tompkins took those donations and went shopping to replace Evelyn's toys. The two officers then delivered them to the family's home just in time for little Evelyn's birthday."

"Special thanks to Officers Calvert and Tompkins for going above and beyond your normal duties," Greenwood police posted on their Facebook page."

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority. What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint? Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation? The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise. Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints. Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it? Failed to do their jobs. No surprise there, right, Bill? Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene? Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County. Bottom line? Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation. Conveniently, forget? This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases. Total independence. Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons? Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting. Who the hell are they?

When will the goddamned 'law' 'enforcement' community finally stop making excuses for engaging in outrageous criminal activity including blatant murder, violent assault, sexual assault, theft, drug trafficking, etc.? Why is it, Counselor, Johnny Greene is paying for the attorney retained by Ms. Ahrens? Is Greene attempting to make this all go away by bribery? Greene has also informed Berardi he is going to sue. For what? Has Greene lost his mind?

What about Wells who installed a $4500 septic system on a lot turns out he does not own as a result of Greene, an outrageously inept County, to say nothing of the Llano County Attorney who remains equally determinedly clueless?

Wake up, Sheriff. Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office? One hundred forty eight weeks, now. A goddamned disgrace. Why are you still sitting on this information? What are you hiding, Sheriff? What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise? Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons? Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.

"We are all petrified and in fear for Jason's life," Tiffany Van Dyke told The Chicago Sun-Times in an interview Wednesday. "Jason just wants to serve his sentence. He does not want any trouble. I hope prison officials will take steps to rectify this right away."

Forget? Prison officials don't look out for Joe Blow on Cell Block A. Couldn't care less about any of the incarcerated 'peasants' in their institution. Think a criminal murderous former cop deserves special treatment?

"Tiffany Van Dyke, who plans to hold a news conference Thursday morning to condemn the assault, said it occurred at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, a low-security prison that houses both men and women. (High-profile names, including singer Lauryn Hill and the late hotel tycoon Leona Helmsley, have served time there for tax-related troubles.)"

Ferociously pointedly, where is outrage of Mrs. Van Dyke when inmates turn up beaten and/or dead throughout the penal system? From county and city jails right up to and including state and federal prisons?

"Jason Van Dyke, 40, was being held in an undisclosed state prison in Illinois since his sentencing on Jan. 18 of second-degree murder, which carries a punishment of nearly seven years behind bars."

Why wasn't he afforded the very same punishment an ordinary civilian receives when he kills a cop, -- even in self defense? Why no parity? Why special treatment for the jackbooted bastards in blue? Time for equal justice.

Despite above rhetoric and obvious lack of sympathy for the former jackbooted bastard, it's incredible, unconscionable for a former cop to be in the general prison population. He'll wind up getting murdered. Was that the agenda of prison officials?

"While Jason Van Dyke was kept in isolation in Illinois, he was placed in the general population in Connecticut and was beaten up by inmates in his cell about four hours after he arrived, his lawyers said. "Jason Van Dyke, who is white, shot McDonald, who was black, 16 times during an encounter on a Chicago street in October 2014. The incident was captured on a police dashboard camera, sparking racial tensions, a federal investigation and political upheaval in the city."

"Prosecutors had sought a minimum of 18 years for the shooting, but the judge's sentencing was based on a count of second-degree murder conviction and not the 16 counts of aggravated battery, which would have carried more prison time. On Monday, Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul said he would challenge the judge's sentence."

Think the family of his victim aren't reliving his murder every day of their lives?

"While Jason Van Dyke was kept in isolation in Illinois, he was initially placed in the general population in Connecticut and was beaten up by inmates in his cell after he arrived, his lawyers said. He suffered injuries to his face and head. One of Jason Van Dyke's attorneys, Tammy Wendt, said he first told his appellate attorneys about the attack two days ago. The conversation occurred during a conference call and with a prison guard present, which she said violated his attorney-client privilege. Wendt said she was then told Wednesday about the attack, and she began contacting federal and state corrections officials, who did not tell her what happened. She said she also received a confidential call from an employee at the Connecticut prison about what happened. "He said, 'I know you haven't been told about the attack, and I wanted to let you know. And I'm very concerned about his safety.'"

"Daniel Herbert, another of Jason Van Dyke's attorneys, said it is not unheard of for an inmate at a state prison to be transferred to a federal facility, but he would presume it is done to promote safety. "In this case, it certainly didn't," Herbert said. He added that he was not informed about plans to transfer Jason Van Dyke, and did not know if there was any malice or forethought by the prison guards in Connecticut to put the former officer in danger by forcing him to mingle with the general population. The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed an attack occurred, but would only say it happened on Feb. 7 and resulted in "minor injuries" to Van Dyke. "The BOP is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all inmates in our population, our staff, and the public," the bureau said in a statement, adding that allegations of misconduct in prisons are thoroughly investigated."

"Tiffany Van Dyke said her husband's case was underlined by a "gigantic race issue," and that he was placed in a dangerous situation "because of the fact that he is a white man who harmed a black gentleman in the line of duty."

"She added that she last spoke with her husband when he was sentenced in Chicago. Now, after the attack, she said, he's being held for 23 hours in lock down in a cell with one other person. "He is fearful for his life," she said. "If they can get to him in general population, they can get to him anywhere."

Had he not committed murder, all this could have been avoided. Ferociously pointedly, what about all other prisoners who receive this kind of treatment throughout the penal system that don't get the attention your husband has received?

"Lawyers for the ex-Chicago officer convicted in a black teen's death are contesting a rare challenge of his sentence from prosecutors, who consider the punishment too lenient, reports the Chicago Tribune. Attorney General Kwame Raoul and the special prosecutor who won the conviction against Jason Van Dyke said last week they believe Judge Vincent Gaughan did not properly apply the law when he sentenced Van Dyke to six years and nine months in prison last month in the 2014 shooting death of Laquan McDonald. In a rare move, Raoul and Kane County State's Attorney Joseph McMahon filed a request with the Illinois Supreme Court seeking an order that would send the case back to Gaughan for a new sentence. But Van Dyke's attorneys say such a challenge is only warranted in extraordinary circumstances in which a judge had obviously violated a state statute, reports the Tribune, which they argue Gaughan did not. Van Dyke was convicted last year of second-degree murder and 16 counts of aggravated battery with a firearm. Absent a new sentence and with credit for good behavior, Van Dyke will likely serve only around three years for firing 16 bullets into McDonald in 2014. Dashcam video of the shooting released by the city in 2015 showed Van Dyke continued to fire as the 17-year-old crumpled to the street and lie on the ground. The sentence was the first imposed on a Chicago police officer for an on-duty shooting in a half century."

"A central issue is an Illinois law that allows a judge to sentence a person for only the most serious crime when he is convicted of multiple crimes for what amounts to a single act. Gaughan determined that second-degree murder was the more serious crime, even though it carries a lighter sentence than aggravated battery - between four and 20 years in prison versus six to 30 years in prison. At his sentencing hearing last month, Van Dyke's defense asked the judge to sentence Van Dyke on the second-degree murder conviction alone, while prosecutors argued he should be sentenced on the aggravated battery counts. The minimum for those convictions can be as high as 96 years, but prosecutors asked a judge for 18 to 20 years. Gaughan, in issuing his sentence, ruled in favor of the defense to sentence Van Dyke on the second-degree murder conviction. His sentence of six years and nine months was met with anger and disappointment by activists and McDonald's family. Many legal experts say Gaughan was wrong and have pointed to a 2004 Illinois Supreme Court ruling in which a majority of justices concluded that aggravated battery is the more serious charge because it has a higher sentence. In filing their request last week, Raoul and McMahon asked the state supreme court to vacate Van Dyke's conviction for second-degree murder and impose a sentence on each of the 16 aggravated battery counts, according to a press release from the attorney general's office. They asked the court to determine which of the aggravated battery convictions constituted "severe bodily injury," which would warrant consecutive sentences."

"Immigration officials have stopped, for now, the force-feeding via nasal tubes of nine immigrants from India who were conducting a hunger strike inside an immigration detention center in El Paso, Texas. In a statement from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement late Thursday night, "there are 12 individuals on a hunger strike — nine citizens of India and three from Cuba — in the custody of [ICE]." While ICE goes on to say that at least two of the nine men in detention have been on a hunger strike since late December of last year, "No hunger strikers housed in El Paso are currently being fed pursuant to court orders at this time."

"Late last month, 11 immigrants were refusing food in protest over the length and conditions of their detention. Six were being force-fed. That number grew to nine, according to the El Paso Times and the Texas Monthly. The case has drawn international attention."

One city council member said the messages, which were first reported by a newspaper, confirms collusion exists between some police and right-wing extremists. "I am not shocked, and I am not surprised at today's reporting of Lt. Jeff Niiya's collaboration with Patriot Prayer leader Joey Gibson over text to provide aid and support for their hate marches," Councilwoman Jo Ann Hardesty said in a statement. Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler called the messages "disturbing" and said he directed Police Chief Danielle Outlaw "to do a thorough investigation of this matter and report back to me expeditiously."

"Willamette Week obtained text messages through a public records request between Niiya and Gibson. In one text reported by the newspaper, Niiya tells Gibson that he doesn't see a need to arrest his assistant, Tusitala Toese, who often brawls with antifascist protesters, even if he has a warrant, unless Toese commits a new crime. "Just make sure he doesn't do anything which may draw our attention," Niiya texted Gibson on Dec. 9, 2017, according to Willamette Week. "If he still has the warrant in the system (I don't run you guys so I don't personally know) the officers could arrest him. I don't see a need to arrest on the warrant unless there is a reason."

Agents asked her about events taking place in Tijuana and the people working with asylum-seekers. Two agents told Drehsler that they wanted her to answer questions for them because she was "on the ground," while they weren't."

"Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo says his department will stop serving "no knock" search warrants, weeks after a raid on a house left two married suspects dead and five officers injured. Acevedo also reiterated that the officer who led that raid may face criminal charges. "The no-knock warrant's going to go away, kind of like leaded gasoline in our city," Acevedo said. He added that raids that stem from those warrants would only be used in very limited cases — and that they would not be used to nab people suspected of dealing small amounts of drugs. "You're going to see those going away," he said."

Not good enough. Nowhere near. There is always a risk when executing a "no knock" warrant. Someone innocent could get killed. You could have the wrong house. Your information could be bad. "Acevedo announced the policy shift Monday night during a town hall meeting hosted by the Greater Houston Coalition for Justice. "Dennis Tuttle, 59, and Rhogena Nicholas, 58, died in the Jan. 28 raid, which had been planned after an informant purportedly told police the couple's house was used for heroin dealing. No heroin was found at the residence, and Acevedo and the Houston police were forced to backtrack after initially saying the two suspects had opened fire on officers as soon as they reached the door of the house in the Pecan Park neighborhood, south of downtown Houston. The official narrative changed after it emerged that the police seemed to have opened fire first — shooting the couple's dog."

"Here's how member station Houston Public Media describes the revised account of the incident: "The shootout occurred when a group of officers were serving a 'no-knock' search warrant to seize heroin at 7815 Harding Street. According to a timeline, a pitbull dog attacked them upon entering the house and an officer shot and killed the dog. Subsequently, a male suspect came from the back of the house and opened fire. An officer was hit on one of his shoulders and fell on a sofa in the living room. "At that time, a female suspect went towards the fallen officer reaching over him and tried to get his gun and that's when back-up officers shot the female suspect, after which an exchange of gunfire continued. The suspects, a married couple, died in the shootout."

"As The Houston Chronicle has reported, police found relatively small amounts of marijuana and cocaine at the house, which also contained several guns. With the legality of the operation now in doubt, Acevedo said his department is required to review other cases that involved the same officers who carried out the raid."

"A former Philadelphia police officer was arrested Tuesday on allegations he sexually assaulted male witnesses and suspects over his decade-plus career as a detective. Philip Nordo was arraigned Tuesday afternoon on more than 35 counts. Much of the grand jury report was redacted to protect the identity of victims in the allegations, but a handful of pages were unsealed showing multiple accusations of rape, intimidation, sexual misconduct and theft of city funds. A spokesman for the Philadelphia district attorney's office declined to comment further on the recommended charges against the 52-year-old former police department veteran. Nordo, who was working in the homicide division at the time, was fired in 2017 after allegations were made that he placed funds in a witness' commissary account and that he had fraternized with people who were connected to criminal investigations. "Disturbing, troubling, and quite frankly, a lot of it's sickening," Philadelphia police chief Richard Ross told CBS radio affiliate KYW of the allegations. Nordo was ordered held without bail during a hearing Tuesday, KYW reports. A defense attorney said in court Nordo maintains his innocence. A spokesman for the police union said union officials had reviewed the charges and would not be representing Nordo. Authorities alleged Nordo used his position to intimidate and groom male suspects and witnesses into sexual acts, and that he used intimidation and manipulation to keep the victims from coming forward. "Nordo used his power and position to coerce and intimidate his potential victims," the grand jury report says. "He groomed them to submit to his sexually coercive advances by gaining their trust and bestowing favors on them. After these periods of grooming, Nordo sexually assaulted them."

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wrote the court's opinion in favor of Tyson Timbs, of Marion, Indiana. Police seized Timbs' $40,000 Land Rover when they arrested him for selling about $400 worth of heroin. The Institute for Justice, which represents Timbs, argued that under Indiana law, the maximum fine such an offense is $10,000, CBS affiliate WTTV reported. Reading a summary of her opinion in the courtroom, Ginsburg noted that governments employ fines "out of accord with the penal goals of retribution and deterrence" because fines are a source of revenue. The 85-year-old justice missed arguments last month following lung cancer surgery, but returned to the bench on Tuesday. Timbs pleaded guilty, but faced no prison time. The biggest loss was the Land Rover he bought with some of the life insurance money he received after his father died."

"Several current and former Trump administration appointees promoted the sale of nuclear power plants to Saudi Arabia despite repeated objections from members of the National Security Council and other senior White House officials, according to a new report from congressional Democrats. The officials who objected included White House lawyers and H.R. McMaster, then the chief of the National Security Council, according to the report, which cited documents obtained by the committee and accounts of unnamed whistleblowers. The officials called for a halt in the nuclear sales discussions in 2017, citing potential conflicts of interest, national security risks and legal hurdles. But the effort to promote nuclear sales persisted, led by retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who served briefly as President Trump’s national security adviser, and more recently by Energy Secretary Rick Perry. The possible nuclear power sale was discussed in the Oval Office as recently as last week. Details about these internal White House battles are contained in a 24-page report released Tuesday morning by House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Elijah E. Cummings (D-Md.). It said the unnamed whistleblowers inside the White House came forward because they were distressed at the continued effort to sell the power plants."

"The report includes a wide range of allegations and suggests the involvement of a long list of high-profile people in Trump’s orbit. The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment Tuesday. The report's release comes as Saudi-U.S. relations reach a particularly difficult moment. Following the death of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, Congress has expressed reluctance to continue with a business-as-usual relationship with Riyadh. The Trump White House has balked at endorsing intelligence reports suggesting that Saudi Arabia's crown prince Mohammed bin Salman was involved in the killing."

"The Cummings report notes that one of the power plant manufacturers that could benefit from a nuclear deal, Westinghouse Electric, is a subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management, the company that provided financial relief to the family of Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and adviser. Brookfield Asset Management took a 99-year lease on the family’s deeply indebted New York City property at 666 Fifth Avenue. “Multiple whistleblowers came forward to warn about efforts inside the White House to rush the transfer of highly sensitive U.S. nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia in potential violation of the Atomic Energy Act and without review by Congress as required by law — efforts that may be ongoing to this day,” the report says. The whistleblowers also “warned about a working environment inside the White House marked by chaos, dysfunction and backbiting. They noted that White House political appointees repeatedly ignored directives from top ethics advisers who repeatedly — but unsuccessfully — “ordered senior White House officials to halt their efforts.”

"The Trump administration sought to rush the transfer of American nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia in potential violation of the law, a new report from the House Oversight and Reform Committee alleges. Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings's staff issued an "interim staff" report Tuesday, citing "multiple whistleblowers" who raised ethical and legal concerns about the process. "They have warned about political appointees ignoring directives from top ethics advisers at the White House who repeatedly and unsuccessfully ordered senior Trump administration officials to halt their efforts," the report states. "They have also warned of conflicts of interest among top White House advisers that could implicate federal criminal statutes." The committee's report alleges that the major drivers behind the effort to transfer of U.S. nuclear technology were retired Gen. Michael Flynn, who served as the president's national security adviser, and Thomas Barrack, who chaired the Trump inaugural committee. Flynn was fired in February 2017 for lying about conversations with the Russian Ambassador to Vice President Pence and the F.B.I. For roughly seven months in 2016, including during the presidential transition, Flynn served as an adviser to IP3 International, a private company seeking to build nuclear plants in Saudi Arabia. The whistleblowers told the committee that Flynn continued to advocate for IP3's plan even after he joined the White House as the president's National Security Advisor in 2017. The Atomic Energy Act requires that Congress approve any transfer of nuclear technology to a foreign country. The committee's report states that a senior director at the National Security Council (NSC), Derek Harvey, "reportedly ignored... warnings and insisted that the decision to transfer nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia had already been made."

"The NSC's lawyers realized that Flynn had a possible conflict of interest that could violate the law, the whistleblowers said, and told NSC staff to stop working on the nuclear technology transfer plan. Despite Flynn's firing in February 2017, the plan appeared to continue to progress with Barrack's support. The committee announced intends to launch an investigation into this matter "to determine whether the actions being pursued by the Trump administration are in the national security interests of the United States, or, rather, serve those who stand to gain financially as a result of this potential change in U.S. foreign policy."

"Tuesday's disclosure of a plan to sell nuclear technology comes as the United States considers its relationship with the Saudi government in the wake of the killing of writer Jamal Khashoggi. Following his death, the House and Senate have both passed resolutions to limit U.S. involvement in the Saudi-led coalition fighting in the Yemeni civil war. The Senate also passed a resolution by voice vote — reflecting unanimity — that was fashioned to "hold Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman responsible for the murder of Jamal Khashoggi." The report also comes as President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner is scheduled to travel next week for a trip to the Middle East which includes a stop in Riyadh, the Saudi capital."

"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu startled Iranians and even the White House on Wednesday with a strident call for Israeli-Arab action against the government in Tehran that was translated by his office as urging "war with Iran." Although Israeli officials tried to soften the reference by altering the English translation, the provocative comment was likely to further the perception that Israel, its Gulf Arab neighbors and the United States are interested in using military action to topple the government of Iran. It comes at a particularly delicate moment, as the Trump administration uses a U.S.-organized summit in Warsaw and this week's 40th anniversary of the Iranian Revolution to try to rally the world against the government in Tehran."

"The U.S. government quickly reached out to Israeli officials to ask for an explanation. A senior U.S. official traveling with Vice President Mike Pence, who is attending the summit in Warsaw, said that senior Israeli officials told the U.S. that it was a matter of bad translation. But Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, dismissed the notion that Netanyahu had simply been mistranslated. "He knew what he meant," King said on MSNBC."

"Last May, officials in Midlothian, Tex., a city near Dallas, approved more than $10 million in tax breaks for a huge, mysterious new development across from a shuttered Toys R’ Us warehouse. That day was the first time officials had spoken publicly about an enigmatic developer’s plans to build a sprawling data center. The developer, which incorporated with the state four months earlier, went by the name Sharka LLC. City officials declined at the time to say who was behind Sharka. The mystery company was Google — a fact the city revealed two months later, after the project was formally approved. Larry Barnett, president of Midlothian Economic Development, one of the agencies that negotiated the data center deal, said he knew at the time the tech giant was the one seeking a decade of tax giveaways for the project, but he was prohibited from disclosing it because the company had demanded secrecy."

Forget? The corporate management suite runs and owns its bought and paid for lackeys in government.

“I’m confident that had the community known this project was under the direction of Google, people would have spoken out, but we were never given the chance to speak,” said Travis Smith, managing editor of the Waxahachie Daily Light, the local paper. “We didn’t know that it was Google until after it passed.” After the deal went through, Sharka changed its main address to that of Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, Calif. Site work began last fall."

This out of control corporation presents an exigent threat to privacy, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

This out of control behemoth corporation not only makes its money off your private information, but receives corporate welfare from tax abatement at the very least.

"With their growing reach into the U.S. economy and in the face of greater political scrutiny, tech giants including Google and Amazon are on a tear to expand — but communities now see their arrival more skeptically for the disruption, environmental impact and higher cost of living they often bring, as well as the incentives they seek, despite their deep pockets."

Welcome. Liberty In Peril has been relaunched at a new URL:
libertyinperil.com. This is a new commercial site hosted in an overseas
country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers. Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible. -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle. No more bullsh-t. Criminal complaints will be
prepared and filed against Amanda Wright, Lynn Massey, and the equally
criminal bastards in the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for
egregious deceptive trade practices.

Email notification of local businesses of these practices, has and will,
continue unabated until Wells Fargo accepts responsibility, ceases these
practices, and finally makes it right. During the last several weeks
after the ftp servers were hacked, a blizzard of these emails was sent to
local businesses to keep intense pressure on the criminal bastards at

This site has finally been fully uploaded. All links appear to be
properly working. Typos in the rush to get material up have also been
corrected. There will be a few additional changes to be made as time
allows. Including, again, a smart phone-friendly abbreviated version of
each future Newsletter Edition starting with v434 that will be available
in addition to the regular edition.

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this
publication, that is exposure of corrupt, abusive, inept, clueless
government lackeys beholden to their corporate masters, rather than
dealing with recalcitrant webhosts. We'll see. With the
libertyinperil.com domain, however, any necessary changes in webhosts will
be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated. Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys. The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere. Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Matt Turner, Matt Turner Video Services, Marble Falls, TX. A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright. She has, indeed, been promoted branch manager. Reverse Darwinism. Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. Click here for a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
