While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception. On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe. She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop. She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office. Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it. Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this? Think this hasn't happened to others?

As always, when a cop does something heroic and/or of exceptional benefit to the community, it leads. Always. CBS News reports:

"A veteran Houston police officer who was shot after rushing into a gunbattle at a drug house to help two of his wounded colleagues said he had to do it "because I knew my guys were down," the city's police chief said Tuesday. The officer, who has been on the police force for 32 years, was shot for the third time in his career Monday, Chief Art Acevedo said at a press conference. "'I had to get in there because I knew my guys were down,'" Acevedo said the officer, 54, wrote in a note. "That just speaks volumes as to this man and just his courage under fire."

"Four officers in total were shot Monday, and a fifth suffered a knee injury in the gunbattle, which stemmed from an attempt to serve a search warrant. Acevedo didn't identify the officers because they all work undercover in narcotics. Acevedo described the officer he lauded as a "big teddy bear" who was also shot in the line of duty in 1992 and 1997. "He's a big African-American strong ox, tough as nails, and the only thing bigger than his body, in terms of his stature, is his courage," the chief said. "I think God had to give him that big body to be able to contain his courage because the man's got some tremendous courage." Two suspects were killed in the gunbattle. Acevedo identified them as Rhogena Nicholas, 58, and Dennis Tuttle, 59."

"Dr. Michelle McNutt, chief of trauma surgery at Memorial Hermann hospital, said one of the officers was shot in the face and in stable condition but required more surgery. "He's in a fight," Acevedo said. "He's stable, but ... we just need the community's prayers for him and his family." Another officer was shot in the face and would likely be discharged from the hospital later Tuesday, McNutt said. That officer is a 50-year-old sergeant who has been on the police force for 25 years, Acevedo said. The fourth wounded officer, who was shot in the shoulder, is 33 years old and has been on the force for 10 years, Acevedo said. The officer was discharged on Monday, the chief said. The officer with the injured knee underwent orthopedic surgery and would likely be discharged later in the week, McNutt said. That officer is a 50-year-old sergeant who has been on the force for 27 years, Acevedo said."

"A military veteran on his way to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Wednesday saw someone having car trouble on the side of the road. Being the good Samaritan that he is, the veteran stopped to help — only to realize the man was his idol, Colin Powell. "I'm not really starstruck that much. It was just a situation like, here's somebody on the side of the road who needs help, why not get out?" Anthony Maggert told CBS News. Since they were only about 5 miles away from Walter Reed, he knew the man likely didn't just look like Colin Powell — he was Colin Powell. "The closer I got to the vehicle, I saw the face and I said, 'That has to be Colin Powell,'" Maggert said. When Powell got out of the car, Maggert realized he was face-to-face with the renowned general. Maggert told CBS News he served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He says he read all of Powell's books and that the former general inspired him to enlist. "[He] 100 percent did – maybe 1,000 percent," Maggert said. Maggert, who contracted a flesh-eating bacteria and lost one of his legs in Afghanistan, said he and Powell "chatted it up like two Army buddies" while they changed the tire."

"Powell wrote about the encounter on Facebook. "Yesterday was a reassuring day for me," he wrote. "I was on my way to Walter Reed Military Hospital for an exam. As I drove along Interstate 495 my left front tire blew out." "I am a car guy and knew I could change it, but it was cold outside and the lug bolts were very tight. I jacked the car up and got several of the bolts removed when a car suddenly pulled up in front of me," the former secretary of state wrote. "As the man got out of his car I could see that he had an artificial leg." Powell said asked Maggert about his leg and they chatted briefly about their service before they both left for their separate appointments at Walter Reed. "I hadn't gotten his name or address but he did ask for a 'selfie'. And then he sent me the message below last night," Powell wrote, sharing the message Maggert sent:

"Gen. Powell, I hope I never forget today because I'll never forget reading your books. You were always an inspiration, a leader and statesman. After 33 years in the military you were the giant whose shoulders we stood upon to carry the torch to light the way and now it is tomorrow's generation that must do the same. Anthony Maggert," the vet wrote. Sharing the selfie they took, Powell wrote: "Thanks, Anthony. You touched my soul and reminded me about what this country is all about and why it is so great. Let's stop screaming at each other. Let's just take care of each other. You made my day."

"The photo of the good Samaritan and the four-star general gained widespread attention on social media. Maggert shared the selfie on Facebook too. Maggert says he would have pulled over to help even if it hadn't been Colin Powell by the side of the road. "I just wanted to make sure he was safe. I would've done it for anyone," Maggert told CBS News. He said Powell was a "gentleman" during the brief encounter. Maggert said reading about how Powell overcame hardships and then excelled was an inspiration for him. "When I was a kid, I thought, wow, it would be cool to be in the military ... but I never thought I would do 23 years in the military. I never thought I would re-deploy as an amputee," he said."

"As the body of Sgt. Wytasha Carter made its way through a rainy Birmingham, Alabama, Saturday, a sheriff's deputy named Tiffany Dial stood and saluted the casket. Carter was gunned down while on duty. "It was a tough day for everyone here in Birmingham and Alabama and Jefferson County. It was a tough day," Dial said. Dial said she was representing her shift, and was the only one available. "I was representing everybody," she said."

"In a city mourning the worst, came a reminder of our best. A man named Shawn Allen never said a word to Dial, while he stood holding an umbrella for her for 45 minutes. The moment was caught on camera.

"I didn't want her to get wet while I stood there dry," he said.

"Allen is a deputy district attorney. Two days after spending nearly an hour next to each other, Allen and Dial finally met. Happy as he was to do the right thing, Allen doesn't want that to overshadow why they were there in the first place. "My intention was never to get attention. My intention was to pay my respects to Sgt. Carter and to help this deputy who paid her respects to Sgt. Carter," he said."

"Two strangers have been reunited after being photographed during a somber moment in Birmingham, as the community mourned the death of a veteran police officer. On Saturday, Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy Tiffany Dial was standing in the soaking rain in front of an officer's memorial as she saluted the procession for police Sgt. Wytasha Carter, a 44-year-old father and husband, who was gunned down in the line of duty on Jan. 13. The slain sergeant, with 16 years of law enforcement experience, had served in Birmingham for the last eight years, Birmingham's police chief said. As Dial saluted, a man walked up behind her with an umbrella and covered her as she stood for more than 30 minutes, according to ABC News affiliate WBMA-TV. An onlooker captured the moment on camera. The two never exchanged a word as they paid their respects and when Dial finally turned around, the man had walked away, the station reported. "I didn't know he was there. My peripheral vision was cut off with my hat. ... I was in my moment paying my respects to Sgt. Carter," Dial said Tuesday when the news station reached her."

Even more impressive since he expected nothing in return, not even recognition of who he was.

"It just restores your faith, a little bit," Dial said. "It meant a lot in ways that you can't even really put into words. It wasn't just about keeping the rain off of me for that little bit. It meant a lot more than that."

"On Wednesday, Dial and the mystery man met each other after the news station's viewers helped identify the citizen. Dial and the man -- who identified himself as Shawn Allen -- learned they had more in common than that moment: The two also worked in the same building. "The procession was, you know, one of the most powerful, kind of, emotional displays that I hope I never see again. ... I was just real impressed that you were out there," Allen told Dial. He said he didn't speak to the deputy as they stood there out of respect for her."

"I didn't think there was anything that I needed to say to her and I just wanted to try to keep her dry and warm for just a few minutes," Allen said to WBMA-TV. Dial said she learned a valuable lesson seeing that image of her and Allen. "People do care about us and it's very uplifting. It can be very easy to get jaded in this job so it's nice to see the good in people," Dial said."

Your deputy has been accused of abusing authority. What action have you taken other than ignore the complaint? Why aren't both Rodriguez and the County Attorney under criminal investigation? The County Attorney appears to be obstructing justice, accepting the word of Greene in lieu of two surveyor companies who strongly assert otherwise. Both the County Attorney and District Attorney have ignored complaints. Par for the course in Llano County, isn't it? Failed to do their jobs. No surprise there, right, Bill? Both receiving 'special consideration' up to and/or including a bribe from Greene? Regardless, clearly, no justice in Nazi Llano County. Bottom line? Desperate need for an outside criminal investigation. Conveniently, forget? This County is ruled by men, certainly not rule of law and the United States Constitution.

Precisely, why there is desperate need for a new federal agency whose sole function would be to investigate, arrest, charge, and prosecute criminal law enforcement, prosecutors, and judges in a special court whose only mandate would be to adjudicate such cases. Total independence. Until that happens, the criminal bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole County will continue to do as they please.

A female off-duty officer came by the residence and was shot in the chest, St. Louis Police Chief John Hayden Jr. told reporters at a press conference. The two officers took her to the hospital where she died, Hayden said. No further information was immediately released, including the names of the officers."

A probable cause statement from police, provided by Gardner's office, offered a chilling account of the dangerous game that led to her death. The probable cause statement said Alix and Hendren were "playing with firearms" when Hendren produced a revolver."

"CBS affiliate KMOV-TV reports that authorities say Hendren's partner told them he told both Alix and Hendren that they shouldn't play with guns, adding that he "didn't want to have any part of it." He was leaving the room when Hendren shot Alix. Authorities said he walked back into the room and saw she was shot in the chest."

He could and should have put an end to it before it got that far. Had the power to do so. Could have certainly called for assistance. Done something, anything other than walk out the room.

"The male officers drove Alix to a hospital where she died. Hendren also is charged with armed criminal action."

"A warrant for involuntary manslaughter has been issued against a St. Louis police officer who fatally shot a fellow officer as the two were allegedly playing with a revolver loaded with one round, according to authorities. Warrants were issued for Officer Nathaniel Hendren, police and the prosecutor said in statements Friday. Officer Katlyn Alix, 24, was fatally shot sometime before 12:56 a.m. Thursday when she was off-duty at a home in Carondelet with Hendren and another officer, police have said. Hendren allegedly emptied the cylinder of the gun and then put one cartridge back into the cylinder, spun the cylinder and pointed the weapon away and pulled the trigger, and the revolver did not fire. "Today, as much as it saddens my staff and me to file these charges, Katlyn and her family deserve accountability and justice." Police said the warrants were issued "at-large." It was unclear if Hendren planned to surrender or if he has an attorney who could speak on his behalf. Messages to the police union and to the police department were not immediately returned Friday.

"Katlyn Alix was with two male officers at an apartment early Thursday. Prosecutors say Hendren and Alix were taking turns pulling the trigger of a gun while pointing it at each other when it went off, killing Alix. She was 24. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for Alix's funeral. A probable cause statement said Alix and Hendren were playing with guns when Hendren produced a revolver. "The defendant emptied the cylinder of the revolver and then put one cartridge back into the cylinder," the statement said. He allegedly spun the cylinder, pointed the gun away and pulled the trigger. The gun did not fire. The statement said Alix took the gun, pointed it at Hendren and pulled the trigger. Again, it didn't fire. Hendren "took the gun back and pointed it at the victim (and) pulled the trigger causing the gun to discharge," the statement said. "The victim was struck in the chest."

Truly stunning this kind of thing can happen in 2019 with law enforcement under such intense scrutiny. This officer died for nothing. Killed by a fellow officer.

The video shows the chase, struggle, and ultimately futile attempt by officers and emergency medical workers to save Black's life. Black's family says that his life should not have been put in danger in the first place. On Thursday, the Baltimore Sun editorial board said Black never should have been arrested. "Mr. Black ran for reasons that only he would know," the editorial board said. "Maybe he was scared of what would happen to him in a justice system that has failed African-American men more times than we can count."

Webster stated that he had seen Black "dragging the younger male down the road," holding him in a "half nelson" and pinning him against the hood of a car. "On the body cam footage, the juvenile is clearly in distress and denies that Anton Black is his brother," Riley said in his press release."

Additional security concerns were raised months later when the same prisoner was allegedly involved in a knife attack that left a guard severely injured and hospitalized for months. Shamieke Pugh was one of the four inmates in the first attack on June 4, 2017. "He was trying to kill us, for sure," said Pugh, who is now out of prison and recovering from multiple stab wounds in his arm, chest and back. The four prisoners were playing cards during an out-of-cell recreation period. Pugh, 28, believes guards set up the attack, something the prison system, the guards' union and the prosecutor who brought charges against the attacker strongly deny."

The two officers fired 20 shots, hitting Clark at least seven times. Investigators later determined Clark had been holding only a cellphone."

"The Sacramento police executed Stephon Clark in his grandparents' backyard, mistaking his cell phone for a gun, assuming he was a criminal threat simply because he was a black man," Ben Crump, a lawyer for Clark’s family, said in a statement. "Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross on Thursday afternoon defended his take on the financial challenges facing furloughed federal workers after saying earlier in the day that he did not "understand" why they might need help from homeless shelters and food banks. Ross said in a second interview that his intention had been to make sure government workers were aware that loans could be an option as the shutdown continues. "We're aware, painfully aware, that there are hardships inflicted on the individual workers,” Ross said on Bloomberg. “All I was trying to do was make sure that they are aware that there are possible other things that can help somewhat mitigate their problems."

"The remarks come hours after Ross was asked on CNBC about reports that some federal workers were relying on charity for essentials as the shutdown enters its second month. He responded by suggesting that furloughed employees should borrow money to make ends meet while the shutdown continues. “Banks and credit unions should be making credit available to them,” Ross said. “Now true, the people might have to pay a little bit of interest, but the idea that it's paycheck or zero is not a really valid idea.” On the CNBC interview, Ross also rejected the notion that the government shutdown — now entering day 34, the longest in U.S. history — was damaging the country’s reputation or economy in the long term. “I think that is a great deal of hyperbole,” Ross said. “We’ve had shutdowns, albeit for not such a long period as we've been thus far, but put in the perspective: You're talking about 800,000 workers. And while I feel sorry for the individuals that have hardship cases, 800,000 workers if they never got their pay — which is not the case, they will eventually get it — but if they never got it, you're talking about a third of a percent on our GDP.”

Stone was charged with seven counts, including one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, five counts of false statements and one count of witness tampering. After the early morning arrest at his home, he appeared briefly in federal court in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., wearing a blue polo shirt, jeans, and steel shackles on his wrists and ankles. The judge ordered him released on a $250,000 bond."

As Credico prepared for possible testimony before the House Intelligence Committee, Stone repeatedly pressured him not to reveal anything that would suggest Stone had misled the committee in his earlier denials, according to the indictment. In December 2017, authorities charge, Stone used a reference to one of the Godfather movies to try to keep Credico quiet. “Stone told Person 2 that Person 2 should do a ‘Frank Pentangeli’ before [the committee] in order to avoid contradicting Stone’s testimony,” the indictment charges, adding: “Frank Pentangeli is a character in the film The Godfather: Part II, which both Stone and Person 2 had discussed, who testifies before a congressional committee and in that testimony claims not to know critical information that he does in fact know.”

"The Trump administration on Friday is implementing its plan requiring asylum-seekers, mainly from Central America, to remain in Mexico while their legal proceedings are conducted in the U.S. court system. The policy will be rolled out at San Diego's San Ysidro border crossing, the nation's busiest, a senior official with U.S. Customs and Border Protection tells NPR. The plan, coming out of talks with Mexican officials, is to bus asylum-seekers back and forth from Tijuana, Mexico, to a courthouse in downtown San Diego. The administration plans to eventually implement the policy at other border crossings. Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen first announced the plans for this "historic" policy, called the "Migration Protection Protocols," in a memo issued in late December. "Aliens trying to game the system to get into our country illegally will no longer be able to disappear into the United States, where many skip their court dates. Instead, they will wait for an immigration court decision while they are in Mexico. 'Catch and release' will be replaced with 'catch and return,'" said Nielsen."

"Kushner's application for a top-secret clearance was rejected by two career White House security specialists after an FBI background check raised concerns about potential foreign influence on him — but their supervisor overruled the recommendation and approved the clearance, two sources familiar with the matter told NBC News. The official, Carl Kline, is a former Pentagon employee who was installed as director of the personnel security office in the Executive Office of the President in May 2017. Kushner's was one of at least 30 cases in which Kline overruled career security experts and approved a top-secret clearance for incoming Trump officials despite unfavorable information, the two sources said. They said the number of rejections that were overruled was unprecedented — it had happened only once in the three years preceding Kline's arrival. The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the information, said the Trump White House attracted many people with untraditional backgrounds who had complicated financial and personal histories, some of which raised red flags. Kushner's FBI background check identified questions about his family's business, his foreign contacts, his foreign travel and meetings he had during the campaign, the sources said, declining to be more specific.

"After Kline overruled the White House security specialists and recommended Kushner for a top-secret clearance, Kushner's file then went to the CIA for a ruling on SCI. After reviewing the file, CIA officers who make clearance decisions balked, two of the people familiar with the matter said. The U.S. Justice Department last year charged Michael McWhorter, Joe Morris and a third man, Michael Hari, with using an explosive device to damage the Dar Al-Farooq Islamic Center in Bloomington, Minn., in 2017. McWhorter and Morris pleaded guilty to five federal charges on Thursday, including the attacks on the mosque and the Illinois clinic. They had originally entered a not guilty plea. Hari, portrayed by both prosecution and defense lawyers as group's ringleader, is being held in federal custody in Illinois. country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers. Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible. -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle. No more bullsh-t. Criminal complaints will be
prepared and filed against Amanda Wright, Lynn Massey, and the equally

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys. The Sheriff and his

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed. Can't be ignored. That's where you come in dear readers. Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up. Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day. These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem. No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked. It's time to stand up. Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight. Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb. From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain. Wake up. Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen. After all, you're bought and paid for. Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters. The corporate management suite. Your employers. Think not? Wake up. You're human chattel. Corporate-owned, bought and paid for. Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor. Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision. To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day. You have no control of your lives. You're owned. Forget? For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits. At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys. Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit. To line County coffers. Keep the peasants in line and under control. A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril. Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority. Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are. Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication? Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country. Insult to injury? There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway. No matter the effort. No matter the research. No matter the proof. Wake up. This writer cannot do it alone. Snowball's chance in hell. Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded. Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy. Literally.

Cannot do it alone. Impossible. Not sustainable. This publication needs your financial and material support. Both. Time to step up.

Click here for a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
