While the business and church communities stood tall during the recent Kingsland flood catastrophe, there was one glaring exception. On 10-17-18, the Antlers Coffee Shop closed due to storm-related failure of the Kingsland water system. Patrons, however, are routinely allowed to get online outside even when the shop is closed.

A long-term coffee shop customer entered the hotel lobby to ask the desk clerk whether wifi was still up and running after the catastrophe. She said it was and told the patron he could get online inside the closed shop. She then asked him to have another regular customer who had just arrived outside to come in and get out of the cold as well.

Antlers co-proprietor Rick apparently quickly got wind of both customers, made quite a jackass of himself emulating the petulant narcissist currently occupying the Oval Office. Aggressive stupidity at a time the Kingsland business community is indeed suffering, can least afford it. Further proof positive of the old adage 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'

Why would, why should both customers put up with this? Think this hasn't happened to others?

Who says teens are a hopelessly lost generation? Who? Seatbelts on. CBS News reports:

"A teen in Michigan made a pizza delivery he'll never forget, and his gesture is warming hearts across the nation. Eighteen-year-old Dalton Shaffer was working his shift at Steve's Pizza in Battle Creek, Michigan, Tuesday night when he got a call about an old customer. The man on the phone said his son-in-law, Rick Morgan, who had moved to Indianapolis, was a big fan of Steve's Pizza and was battling cancer. They had planned a trip back to Michigan and a visit to Steve's, but Morgan's health took a turn for the worse and he was now in hospice care. The man wondered if the shop might be willing to send Morgan a text or a card."

"He was kind of telling me just a little bit about how they used to live in Battle Creek and they were just really big fans of Steve's Pizza," Shaffer told CBS affiliate WWMT-TV. After hearing a fan of Steve's Pizza was unable to fulfill his dream of eating a slice again, Shaffer wanted to do more than send a card. He asked the father-in-law what kind of pizza Morgan wanted. Then, after he closed up shop for the night, Shaffer jumped in his car with two pizzas. He drove three and a half hours from Michigan to the home in Indiana."

"The family came up, gave me a hug ... The expressions on their faces and everything, like, that was cool," Shaffer told the station. Morgan's wife, Julie, had no clue Steve's Pizza was on its way. In a Facebook post, Julie described how overwhelmed she was when she woke up at 2:30 a.m. and saw Shaffer had driven such a long way to drop off her husband's favorite pizza. "[Twenty-five] years ago we lived in Battle Creek, MI. We were young and money was tight but every pay day, Rich would pick up Steve's Pizza for dinner," Julie wrote. "I can't possibly describe how delicious this pizza is – but several moves and all these years later, it is still the gold standard and we've never found a better pizza yet."

"The wife wrote she and her husband planned a birthday trip for her to Michigan, but that plan took a back seat when she had to take him to the hospital due to complications from his cancer. Morgan was in the ICU for five days when the family found out his battle with cancer would soon come to an end. Julie wrote she had no clue her dad called Steve's Pizza and spoken to Shaffer. "I am beyond overwhelmed and humbled by this act of genuine kindness," the wife wrote."

"Steve's Pizza doesn't even offer delivery, Julie wrote on Facebook. The Morgans offered to put Shaffer up in a hotel, but he ended up driving back home to Michigan that same night."

"Dalton brought our family so much joy – and the best pizza in the world – at a really difficult time. While 'thank you' hardly seems adequate – from the bottom of my heart, thank you, Dalton from Steve's Pizza in Battle Creek, MI for making your epic middle of the night pizza delivery!" Julie wrote."

No greater love. Think this remarkable young man does not have one hell of a future?

The United States Constitution wisely requires wars be declared by Congress, not the President of the United States. Here's precisely why. Seatbelts on. CBS News reports:

"North Korean leader Kim Jong Un fulfilled an agreement he made with President Trump at the Singapore summit in June to return 55 boxes of remains of Americans killed in the Korean War. It's only a tiny fraction of the nearly 5,300 still missing but for at least one family, it provided closure."

Equally to the point, the Founders wisely provided Congress with sole authority to declare war. The reason for this was to ensure a large number of government officials would make this decision. Not just one person, one madman. Nor to line the pockets of corporate war profiteers.

"A faded photo is one of the few memories Charles McDaniel has of his father. He was just three years old when Master Sgt. Charles McDaniel went off to the Korean War and vanished without a trace. "He disappeared from history. I mean he was just gone. He wasn't dead. He wasn't a POW that was listed. He was gone," Charles told CBS News correspondent David Martin. He was a medic in an army battalion overwhelmed by Chinese troops at the Battle of Unsan in North Korea on November 2, 1950. "They lost 600 and something people in one night….the Chinese came in around them, surrounded them and just overran the battalion headquarters," Charles said."

All for what? Truman was stupid, ill-advised. So was Douglas McArthur. None of this was well-thought out. None of it.

"His wife Gladys and her two sons never knew what happened to him, but when he didn't come home with prisoners of war, he was officially declared dead, a fact which slowly registered with Charles as he grew. "I remember all of a sudden as a little boy starting to cry. I was inconsolable," he said. He became an army chaplain and searched military archives for his father's service records but found no clues to his fate. Then, North Korea turned over 55 boxes of remains following the Singapore summit. "Fifty-five boxes come back. That's one percent of the missing in action. So I'm figuring at best there's a one percent chance that my father's remains are there," Charles said."

"But then, as he revealed at a ceremony in Hawaii honoring the missing, he got a call from an Army official. "He said. 'I have some amazing news for you, we found one dog tag, one dog tag. And it's your father's," Charles said at the ceremony. Eaten away by rust but still legible, his father's name and blood type. With the dog tag in hand, it didn't take long for the forensics lab in Hawaii to identify McDaniel's remains using DNA and dental analysis."

Here's precisely the cost of lining the pockets of corporate war profiteers:

"Charles and his younger brother Larry asked for a moment alone with their father's remains.

"I just put my hand on my father's skull, head, and said a little thank you prayer to God that even to have this, it's more than I ever expected honestly….blessed is the word I would use. Fortunate God's grace has somehow allowed this to happen." he said. Master Sgt. McDaniel disappeared from history 68 years ago, but now he's found. His remains will be returned this week to his family in Indiana for burial with full military honors."

This man and all the others who died in this ill-advised fiasco died heroes. Courageously followed orders. Congress must re-assume its constitutional authority to declare war. To make sure any future wars are absolutely necessary, -- as was the Second World War.

"The bond between two soldiers goes beyond the call of duty. Army Spc. Alec Alcoser and his bomb sniffing dog, Alex, have spent three years together on countless missions, most recently on a tour in Afghanistan. "We find IEDs, we find bombs, these dogs put themselves on the front line and make sure no one gets hurt behind them," Alcoser said. It was on their last mission in August that their lives were changed forever. While on foot patrol, a suicide bomber attacked. "He was limping towards me to lay down next to me," Alcoser said. "I saw there was a lot of blood, so I tried to stop the blood with combat gauze and I wrapped it up real quick."

"The two were airlifted out of Afghanistan and separated for weeks. For their service and sacrifice, Alcoser was awarded a Purple Heart, while Alex received the K-9 equivalent: the Purple Paw. The ultimate reward came weeks later when both soldiers were healthy enough to see each other. "It was really emotional. I don't think I was ready to see him with three legs," Alcoser said. CBS News was there when the two started their new mission: Joint physical therapy. "I want to be next to my dog. I want to be able to walk him out. Go running with him. Do all the stuff that we used to do," Alcoser said. The two love each other so much, Alcoser adopted his former battle buddy. Their last mission is to never walk alone."

"A New Jersey mom's gut feeling and her call to police helped stop a school shooting plot hundreds of miles away -- in Kentucky, reports CBS affiliate WKYT and CBS Philly. Koeberle Bull, a widow and mother of three who lives in Lumberton, New Jersey, never visited Kentucky or even gave it much thought until last Wednesday, when she received a private Facebook message from a man she didn't know."

"The message came from a Facebook account with the name Dylan Jarrell. It pictured a gunman gripping a weapon. The message contained crude and racist remarks involving her three children, pictured in her profile picture. "I hope your black children gets (sic) hung for you being so stupid," the message said. Jarrell's profile listed him as living in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Bull said she has no idea how he found her online, but she decided to call the Lawrenceburg Police Department. Prompted by Bulls' tip, 20-year-old Jarrell was stopped by Kentucky authorities on Thursday -- just in time, according to investigators."

"A second South Carolina police officer has died in connection with what's been described as an ambush attack that also wounded five others. Florence County Sheriff Kenney Boone said Deputy Farrah B. Turner died Monday from injuries related to the attack."

"Boone said in a statement that Turner "was the ultimate professional, excelling at everything she did. She dedicated her life to serving the victims of the worst crimes imaginable." Authorities say Turner was among seven law enforcement officers shot by 74-year-old Frederick Hopkins, a decorated Vietnam War who opened fire without warning when officers arrived at his home Oct. 3 to speak with his son about a sex assault investigation. Police Sgt. Terrence Carraway also was killed."

"Hopkins was previously charged with murder and six counts of attempted murder."

"A South Carolina police officer died on Monday, succumbing to injuries she sustained in a deadly standoff earlier this month. Farrah Turner, a Florence County Sheriff’s Office investigator, died after spending nearly three weeks in critical condition, battling to recover from an Oct. 3 incident in which a man opened fire with a high-powered rifle, killing an officer on the scene and injuring several others. "Farrah was the ultimate professional, excelling at everything she did," Florence County Sheriff Kenney Boone said in a statement. "She dedicated her life to serving the victims of the worst crimes imaginable. Please pray for Farrah's family, our FCSO family and for our community as we mourn her loss."

"Police have charged 74-year-old Frederick T. Hopkins Jr. with murder and attempted murder in the wake of the shooting. Hopkins allegedly fired multiple shots from inside his home when the officers arrived to serve a search warrant in connection with a sexual assault case, police said. Authorities said they were planning to interview Seth Hopkins, the suspect's son, when they were ambushed. Seth Hopkins, 27, was charged with criminal sexual conduct in the second degree after the shooting."

The aggressive search for guns has come with a cost, however — residents in heavily patrolled neighborhoods say they feel targeted."

It shows an officer repeatedly patting down Cottingham's crotch area."

"Everybody looks at the arrests; everybody you know focuses on all of that," Trainum says. "Look at the numbers behind it: How many cases get dismissed? How many cases end up in a conviction?" Without probable cause, it's a violation of the Fourth Amendment prohibition against unreasonable search and seizure.

"An investigation by WAMU and the Investigative Reporting Workshop analyzed nearly 500 affidavits from 2010-2015 in cases where MPD officers had arrested suspects for illegal gun possession. Nearly 4 in 10 of these cases ended up getting dismissed in court."

Along with that, police lose the trust of the innocent public they're f--king over.

"Jim Trainum wasn't surprised by this statistic. "Stop and frisk is a good tool, but we've taken it and abused it over the years," Trainum says. "So that is just another tool that we manipulate in order to get the stats, to get the guns off the street." Trainum says that too often, police stop and frisk residents without legal justification. In order to legally stop and temporarily detain someone, police must have "reasonable suspicion" the person has engaged in criminal activity or is about to. If they don't — or can't prove it in court — the case can get dismissed in court."

"Assistant D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee says court cases can get derailed for all kinds of reasons, and that prosecutors are the ones who decide what cases to pursue. Many shared stories of getting stopped on the street or pulled over in their car by police who were looking for guns. One man who spoke out identified himself by only his initials because of concerns about police retaliation. D.R. summed it up this way: "They look at everyone in the community like villains."

This destroys public trust in law enforcement. Costs society far more in the long run when the public won't step up and provide police with desperately needed crime information. Why? Wake up. "At a roundtable with defense contractors Friday night at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, Trump called the Saudi announcement "a great first step," but reiterated that he didn't think sanctions for the journalist's death should affect U.S.-Saudi Arabia arms deals."

"Anadolu reported that Turkish security officials say "on the same day of Khashoggi's disappearance, 15 other Saudis, including several officials, arrived in Istanbul on two planes and visited the consulate while Khashoggi was still inside." It added: "All of the identified officials have since left Turkey." One suspect, a senior intelligence official, is known to be a "frequent companion of [Saudi] Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman," according to the Times."

"CIA Director Gina Haspel is traveling to Ankara and is expected to review the evidence gathered by Turkish investigators — possibly including audio recordings that anonymous investigators have spoken about to journalists, but that have not been shared to date, according to Turkish officials."

"Bruce Alexander, 49, was arrested on Sunday after a Southwest Flight 5421 coming from Houston landed in Albuquerque. He appeared in federal court on Monday and was charged with abusive sexual contact after he allegedly touched a woman's breast while he was sitting behind her on the Southwest flight."

"The victim said she felt Alexander's hand move from behind her and grab her right breast, according to the affidavit. She said she fell asleep about 20 minutes into the flight and not long after, she felt him touch her but assumed it was an accident. In a second incident 30 minutes later, she said she felt Alexander's hand grab the back of her arm and grope around her ribs and then her breast. The woman then stood up and told Alexander she did not understand how he could think that was OK and he needed to stop. She then asked a flight attendant to reseat her and was relocated to another section of the plane. Both Alexander and the victim said they had not been drinking alcohol or had taking any sleep aids, the affidavit said. The victim said Alexander was a "total stranger."

"When Alexander was questioned by authorities, he said he could not recall touching the woman. He said he was sitting behind a woman and was asleep for most of the flight. Upon arrival at Albuquerque International Sunport, Alexander was detained and asked FBI agents what the sentence was for the charge he was being arrested for. Republicans continue to do all they can to abrogate voting rights. NPR reports:

"Since the 2010 elections, 24 states have implemented new restrictions on voting. Alabama now requires a photo ID to cast a ballot. Other states such as Ohio and Georgia have enacted "use it or lose it" laws, which strike voters from registration rolls if they have not participated in an election within a prescribed period of time. Mother Jones journalist Ari Berman, author of Give Us the Ballot, says that many of the restrictions are part of a broader Republican strategy to tighten access to the ballot — an effort that was bolstered in 2013 by the Supreme Court's Shelby County v. Holder ruling. "[That] decision," Berman explains, "said that those states with the longest histories of discrimination no longer had to approve their voting changes with the federal government." You're seeing a national effort by the Republican Party to try to restrict voting rights, and it's playing out in states all across the country."

and t15 FTP servers. This hacking attack apparently occurred the day
after Wells Fargo closed two accounts because I publicly accused them of
criminal activity. Your company needs to look into this matter. Get these
FTP servers up and running again. A criminal complaint will be filed with
the U.S. Attorney regarding all the ongoing criminal activity by Wells
Fargo, now extended to hacking and undue interference with the webhosts.

Welcome. Liberty In Peril has been relaunched at a new URL:
libertyinperil.com. This is a new commercial site hosted in an overseas
country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers. Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible. -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle. No more bullsh-t. Criminal complaints will be
prepared and filed against Amanda Wright, Lynn Massey, and the equally
criminal bastards in the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for
egregious deceptive trade practices.

Email notification of local businesses of these practices, has and will,
continue unabated until Wells Fargo accepts responsibility, ceases these
practices, and finally makes it right. During the last several weeks
after the ftp servers were hacked, a blizzard of these emails was sent to
local businesses to keep intense pressure on the criminal bastards at

publication. This is being done because so many of you access this

This site has finally been fully uploaded. All links appear to be
properly working. Typos in the rush to get material up have also been
corrected. There will be a few additional changes to be made as time
allows. Including, again, a smart phone-friendly abbreviated version of
each future Newsletter Edition starting with v434 that will be available
in addition to the regular edition.

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this
publication, that is exposure of corrupt, abusive, inept, clueless
government lackeys beholden to their corporate masters, rather than
dealing with recalcitrant webhosts. We'll see. With the
libertyinperil.com domain, however, any necessary changes in webhosts will
be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated. Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys. The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere. Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Linda Williams, Highland Lakes Democratic Women. A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright. She has, indeed, been promoted branch manager. Reverse Darwinism. Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The name of this publication was changed some fifteen years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril. The reason? Simple. Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade and a half. Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication. Either through advertising or other financial support. Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit. To line County coffers. Keep the peasants in line and under control. A fascist police-state. Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril. Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority. Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are. Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication? Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Click here for a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
