"Twenty-five-year-old Detroit police officer Glenn Doss has died, the Detroit Police Department announced Sunday. His death comes days after he was shot in the head while responding to a domestic violence call, CBS Detroit reports."

"Doss had been in critical condition since Wednesday night when he was shot in the head outside a home on McDougal Street. His father, Glenn Doss Sr., spoke with the media outside Detroit Receiving Hospital shortly after his son died. "I didn't tell my son to become a police officer that was his decision," said Doss, a 19-year police veteran. "He fell in love with the job and he died doing something he loved."

"The shooting happened as officers responded to a home on the city's east side, near Chene and Interstate 94, following a report a man arguing with his wife had fired gunshots. Officers encountered the man outside the home when he opened fire. Doss was a passenger in a police car and was shot before he exited his patrol car."

"Police said the suspect, Decharlos Brooks, fired 32 shots before going back into the house where he remained for more than three hours. Police eventually fired tear gas into the house early Thursday and arrested the 43-year-old when he came out. He now faces 33 charges with additional charges expected."

Great credit must be given to the officers. Could have killed him. Chose not to. Let justice run its course in court.

"A GoFundMe account has been set up on behalf of Doss, who leaves behind a 9-month-old baby. He had been on the force for only about two years at the time of the shooting."

"The son of a police chief in Georgia has been charged with murder in the beating death of his 3-year-old stepson. Villa Rica Police Capt. Keith Shaddix tells news outlets that Brentley Gore died Sunday afternoon, following his Tuesday hospitalization for multiple skull fractures. Police had determined 21-year-old Joshua David Richards caused the injuries to the child. Investigators believe Richards used a belt to beat the boy. Richards was jailed Tuesday on aggravated assault, aggravated battery, first-degree cruelty to children and possession of marijuana. Shaddix said murder charges were expected Monday, and online records listed the murder charge. Richards is the son of Carrollton Police Chief Josh Richards. It's unclear whether he has a lawyer. He's being held in Carroll County Jail without bond."

Rather than accept the advice of two surveyor companies, the Precinct 3 Commissioner, the Appraisal District, and even the Sheriff himself, she's chosen to follow the advice of property owner Johnny Greene, -- who conveniently happens to be reportedly in the oil industry.

Question to be asked. Could Madam County Attorney have received any 'consideration' in return, -- up to and including a bribe? Only way to know for sure is to conduct a criminal investigation. Apparently, there has been none. If not, why not? Equally pointedly, why hasn't Llano County Deputy Leroy Rodriguez, Badge #764 been held criminally accountable for egregious abuse of power involving denial of property rights to this Kingsland property owner? Wake up, Sheriff. Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office? Ninety-three weeks, now. A goddamned disgrace. Why are you still sitting on this information? What are you hiding, Sheriff? What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise? Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons? Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history? An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse. How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Ninety-three weeks. Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger. To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff? Those of your thugs? The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why. This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet. Ignored. Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why? Yet, surprise, surprise. Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments. Why? Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own? The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers. Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town. Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded. An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences. Surprising decision from what is usually a nazi Texas court. The Statesman reports:

"Court tosses out drug evidence found in minivan pulled over for crossing painted shoulder stripe. In second case, appeals court upholds frisk of car’s passenger that discovered crack cocaine."

Imagine that. Couldn't be, could it? Got it right on the first case, achingly wrong on the second. Batting average .500. Good for this appeals court since it nearly always butt f--ks the accused.

"The state’s highest criminal court clarified the rules for police stops and searches with opinions in separate drug cases Wednesday. In the first case, a divided Court of Criminal Appeals said methamphetamine found in the spare tire of a stopped minivan could not be used as trial evidence because the drugs were obtained after an illegal stop by a Department of Public Safety trooper."

Surprising since this court usually grants police carte blanche to do as they please.

"Jose Luis Cortez was pulled over near Amarillo in 2014 after his vehicle’s tires touched the white painted “fog line” that separated the road from the shoulder. After consenting to a search of his trunk, Cortez was charged with intent to deliver more than 400 grams of methamphetamine."

Stupid to ever grant consent to search no matter the circumstances. Whether or not guilty or innocent. Always demand a warrant. The jackbooted bastards may search regardless, but does make it easier to sue the living shit out of them, the department, and government entity having jurisdiction. Especially critical if the bastards plant drugs or other contraband.

"In a 6-3 ruling, however, the appeals court said the trooper did not have a valid reason to pull Cortez over for merely drifting onto or across the painted fog line."

Got to have probable cause to initiate a stop. Of course, in a fascist police-state probable cause is whatever the jackbooted bastards define it to be. Courts are supposed to run interference. Keep their goons honest. Most of the time don't. Grant carte blanche.

“Even a driver who is sober, alert and careful may occasionally drift within their lane only because the roadway surface is not perfectly smooth,” Judge Bert Richardson wrote for the majority. Even if the fog line is considered part of the road’s shoulder, state law allows vehicles to travel on improved shoulders for a variety of reasons, including to slow down before turning right, to allow another vehicle to pass or to avoid a collision, Richardson wrote."

"When a police officer pulls over a driver without a warrant, the prosecution has the burden of proving that the stop was reasonable. Because there was no evidence that Cortez broke the law by touching the fog line, the stop was illegal and the seized drugs cannot be used in Cortez’s trial on the drug charge, Richardson concluded."

More to the point, how does one know whether or not the drugs were planted? Officers can no longer be trusted.

“Cortez allowed the trooper to search. However, the consent of the search, the severity of the charged offense, and the quantity of the drugs found cannot justify an illegal stop by the trooper,” he wrote. The ruling upheld similar decisions by the trial court and the 7th Court of Appeals, which said the traffic stop was improper."

How about that? Breath of fresh air. A court finally willing to uphold the Bill of Rights. Law enforcement need not worry. If the son of a bitch they stopped was indeed a drug courier, they'll get another crack at nailing him. Lure of the quick easy buck.

The second ruling turned out to be a butt f--king. Not that the guy was not guilty. Police, however, abused their authority. Consider the following:

"In the second case, a unanimous Court of Criminal Appeals overturned a lower-court ruling that said Corpus Christi police lacked reasonable suspicion to frisk Ernesto Lerma during an unjustifiably prolonged traffic stop in 2014. Writing for the court, Judge David Newell said the search, which led to the discovery of 17 rocks of crack cocaine, was justified because the officer was acting alone, at night, after stopping a car with three adults that included Lerma, who had earlier admitted that he had a pocket knife."

Jesus Christ. A pocket knife is not an illegal weapon. Was not brandished. Equally to the point, he admitted to the officer he had it.

"Even though the police are not allowed to frisk suspects as a matter of routine — and the officer who arrested Lerma said he routinely pats down suspects — the circumstances of the stop meant that the officer was “justified in fearing for his safety and thus conducting a pat-down search for weapons,” Newell wrote."

Otherwise, why would the lower court had ruled otherwise during the "unjustifiably prolonged traffic stop?" The jackbooted bastards need probable cause to stop a vehicle. Apparently, they were looking for it after the stop:

"The court also rejected arguments that the officer unnecessarily prolonged the traffic stop to question Lerma, who was a passenger in the car."

A hunch by a jackbooted bastard to initiate a stop is not probable cause despite the fact Lerma may have indeed been a criminal, -- if the cop is to be believed:

"Newell noted that the stop had lasted only nine minutes, and that the officer had not yet checked the driver for outstanding warrants, when Lerma fled and was arrested after a 15-second chase. The officer also discovered within five minutes that Lerma had provided a false name, justifying further questioning of the suspect, Newell said."

Readers, understand the point being made here. A lower court ruled against the officer. Rightfully, so. While this guy may have indeed been guilty as hell, -- if police did tell the truth and did not plant the drugs, there is a principle here.

Police don't get to stop anyone on the basis of a hunch. Must have probable cause a crime has occurred, the law has been broken. This prevents them from stopping innocent people and harassing them. To conduct a fishing expedition.

"A Baltimore police officer has been indicted by a grand jury six months after body camera footage surfaced that led to accusations he planted drugs during an arrest, Baltimore State's Attorney's Office announced Wednesday. Richard Pinheiro Jr. was charged Tuesday with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and common law misconduct in office. In footage recorded by Pinheiro's own body camera on Jan. 24, 2017, he can be seen appearing to place evidence -- a red can with suspected narcotics inside it -- beneath some trash, before walking away and soon returning to the same spot, where he retrieved the evidence."

"The tampering charge, a misdemeanor, carries a maximum penalty of three years imprisonment and a $5,000 fine, according to Mosby's office."

"As State's Attorney, I've made a pledge to apply one standard of justice for all. Baltimore continues to have its problems. Another fatal shooting. ABC News reports:

"A man who police say pulled a semi-automatic handgun on an officer during a foot chase has been fatally shot in Baltimore. The Baltimore Sun reports the unidentified man died at a hospital Sunday night. Police spokesman Chief T.J. Smith says the incident started when officers tried pulling a car over earlier that night. The car fled and was followed by a helicopter. Smith says police arrived on scene once the car stopped and arrested a woman who had been in the car, but the man bolted. Smith says the man drew a gun and pointed it at a pursuing officer who then shot the man. Police say the man also had a replica handgun."

Not clear from this report if the replica handgun was in addition to the alleged semi-automatic handgun.

Not clear whether or not this was a 'good shoot.' Police need to quickly release information. No matter what and as always, never, ever, never flee. Grants law enforcement carte blanche to murder on the job. Almost always, with impunity.

"An FBI agent fatally shot the victim of a kidnapping during a raid early Thursday at a Houston home, authorities said. Police in Conroe, about 40 miles north of Houston, confirmed the man had been kidnapped and held for ransom. "The system failed. Whether it was accidental or not, the man is not going home to his family," Conroe Police Chief Philip Dupuis said."

"The man's 12-year-old son told Conroe police that two armed men came into their house demanding $8,000 they said the father owed them. After tying up the boy and his father and ransacking the house, they left with the father, the station reports. The man's brother reportedly told police he received a call later that day from a man who said he was with "the cartel" and he wanted $20,000 in ransom money or his brother would be killed. The FBI was called in and they traced the call to a motel near Houston. Nicholas Cunningham, 42, who officials say had family ties to the victim, and Jimmy Sanchez, 38, were arrested at the hotel and charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery, KHOU reports."

"They told agents the victim was being held at the northeast Houston home, where police responded just before 4 a.m. Thursday. Another suspect - a woman - was located there along with the man who was being held captive. Other people, including children, also were at the home, according to authorities."

"Conroe officers waited outside while the agents went in, and that's when the shooting happened, the station reports. It's unclear what led to the gunfire. Charging documents show the victim was still bound when he was killed, KHOU reports. The FBI's shooting incident review team is now investigating what happened. Garza said the agent who fired the fatal shot is on administrative leave pending an investigation."

"After the shooting, the woman inside the home, Sophia Perez Heath, 35, was also arrested and charged with with aggravated kidnapping."

Cellphone recordings of the incident, involving officer Kevin Ferguson and a group of children, went viral, leading to widespread protests in southern California."

"The videos showed Ferguson exchanging angry words with several teenagers who had walked across the front lawn of his Anaheim home. The argument with the boy turned physical, and Ferguson pulled out a gun and fired it into the ground, sending the teens running and screaming."

Why wasn't he charged with reckless endangerment, discharging the weapon? Think if Joe Blow up the block did the same his sorry ass wouldn't have been hauled to jail? Why wasn't this out of control son of a bitch afforded similar treatment?

"An Orange County District Attorney's Office official said at a press conference Wednesday that the incident began when Ferguson confronted a 13-year-old girl and called her "a very vulgar and derogatory name. A name that most reasonable people will tell you no woman should ever be called....let alone a 13-year-old child." Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas condemned Ferguson's behavior during the incident, while defending the decision not to charge him."

"Video of an officer dragging a teen off a Los Angeles Metro train after she apparently put her foot on a seat is causing controversy."

"The teen, identified by CBS Los Angeles as 18-year-old Bethany Nava, was reportedly asked to take her foot off the seat Monday by a Los Angeles Police officer. He then orders Nava to get off the train, which she refuses. "I paid to be on this train," Nava is heard saying in the cell video captured by a fellow train rider. The officer then grabs her by the arm and drags her off the train."

Always better not to resist. Then sue the living shit out of the bastard, the department, and city. Take them for all you can get.

"This is not [expletive] fair that you took me off the train because I had my foot there, because I was comfortable like that," Nava tells the officer as they are both on the platform."

"Another woman, identified by the station as Selena Lechuga, 22, approaches the officer in an attempt to intervene. After asking Lechuga to back away from the scene, the officer warns her she is "impeding" the investigation and radios for backup."

"I'm not going to leave because I'm going to stand up for my people no matter what," Lechuga is heard responding to the officer. Moments later, five additional officers arrived on scene and took both Nava and Lechuga into custody. During her arrest, Lechuga is heard yelling expletives at the officers and shouting, "This is racism! This is what we are!" She is also seen on video spitting at one of the officers and was arrested on suspicion of battery. Both women were cited and later released, the station reports."

Both women played into the hands of law enforcement. Never resist. Never interfere or intervene. Remain silent. Demand counsel. I also know that videos sometimes tell one picture. We'll have the videos that officers have – as well as the videos that were made."

"FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is retiring from the FBI, CBS News' Pat Milton has confirmed. According to Milton, a source familiar with the matter confirms that McCabe was urged to step down. He is currently on leave and will official[ly] retire in March."

In 2009, the Board of Immigration Appeals dismissed his appeal of the immigration judge’s decision, affirming his removal order. At his October check-in with ICE, Ded was informed that he would have to leave the U.S. and return to Albania. He was given until Jan. 27 to deport. “As ICE Deputy Director Thomas Homan has made clear, ICE does not exempt classes or categories of removable aliens from potential enforcement. All of those in violation of the immigration laws may be subject to immigration arrest, detention and, if found removable by final order, removal from the United States,” said ICE spokesman Khaalid Walls in a statement."

While the president refers to drug pushers and drug dealers, 80 percent of heroin users developed their addiction because of a previous addiction to prescription opioids, according to the federal government. Welcome. Liberty In Peril has been relaunched at a new URL:
libertyinperil.com. This is a new commercial site hosted in an overseas
country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers. Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible. -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle. No more bullsh-t. Criminal complaints will be
prepared and filed against Amanda Wright, Lynn Massey, and the equally
criminal bastards in the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for
egregious deceptive trade practices.

Email notification of local businesses of these practices, has and will,
continue unabated until Wells Fargo accepts responsibility, ceases these

This site has finally been fully uploaded. All links appear to be
properly working. Typos in the rush to get material up have also been
corrected. There will be a few additional changes to be made as time
allows. Including, again, a smart phone-friendly abbreviated version of
each future Newsletter Edition starting with v434 that will be available
in addition to the regular edition.

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this
publication, that is exposure of corrupt, abusive, inept, clueless
government lackeys beholden to their corporate masters, rather than
dealing with recalcitrant webhosts. We'll see. With the
libertyinperil.com domain, however, any necessary changes in webhosts will
be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated. Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys. The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere. Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Mary Williams, Director, The Bluebonnet Chorale, Kingsland, TX. A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright. She has, indeed, been promoted branch manager. Reverse Darwinism. Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. Click herefor a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
