Brother dearest.  ... Been awhile, hasn't it, Bro?  A little antsy?  Wondering when the next shoe is about to fall, that is, when you'll be fully exposed for the thieving son of a bitch you truly are?  Patience.  All in good time, good buddy.  When I'm damned good and ready.  Timing just right.  After all, a son of a bitch who's stolen his father's estate needs to be fully exposed publicly for whom and what he is, don't you think?  Indeed, a public service for your neighbors, professional associates, family, and friends, etc..

Conveniently, forget?  Others need to protect themselves against a fraud who masquerades as both a teacher and a counselor, no?  -- How the hell did you ever pass an MMPI some forty years ago to get hired?  You're not stable.  Have not been.  ... Must have really been pissed off at the old man to rip off an estate, no?  How much did you steal while he was alive and supposedly under your care?

How much did you bribe law enforcement to ignore a complaint I filed with them years before the old man died?  How much did you bribe the prosecutor to ignore a complaint filed with her several years ago?  How much?  Use the old man's money to bribe the bitch?  Her cohorts?  Your law enforcement shysters?  While there may indeed be no justice from a corrupt system, fortunately, I do have a way to publicly expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.

... Unlike our grandmother who scrubbed floors on her hands and knees during the Depression for peanuts, only to have what little she had stolen by her son, our uncle, another goddamned thieving son of a bitch just like you.  Remember how, surprise, surprise, there was no life insurance when our grandfather died?  Despite the fact our grandmother gave her thieving bastard son premium money year after goddamned year?  Only, as the thieving son of a bitch he truly was, to have pocketed it.  Again, just like you.

Remember when he booted her out of the house she had bought him when he had had enough of her?  -- Despite the fact he had lied and promised she could stay the rest of her life?  She had to climb two flights of stairs on an ulcerated leg to get to a bathroom he had never built for her at ground level as falsely promised.   Nothing ever happened to the thieving son of a bitch as far as justice was concerned.  Worse, he was never exposed publicly for the thieving son of a bitch he truly was.

Will be different for you, Bro.  While you've bought off authorities, you will be publicly exposed.  In great detail.  In good time.  When I'm damned good and ready.  When exposure will do the maximum figurative damage to your goddamned sordid reputation.  -- Just the truth, brother dearest, however.  Just the truth.

Irony of ironies?  When the thieving son of a bitch died, and our mother was finally informed he had passed, she cried for her brother, -- the bastard thief who stole from her mother.  Sad, isn't it?  Too bad she's not still alive to see you publicly exposed for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you, yourself, truly are.  As was he.  Not in a court of law you've bought off, however.  Right here.

In good time.  Again, when I'm damned good and ready.  Employing the very same tactics used against Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo.  -- On steroids, however, since all dirty family laundry will be aired.  All of it.  No threat.  A promise.  Emails sent to your neighbors, friends, professional associates, businesses you deal with.  Although an enormous amount of work, all doable courtesy of the Internet.  Despite being some 1,800 miles away.  -- Small world, isn't it, Bro?  Enjoy the stolen loot, you son of a bitch.  Forget?  It's all you have.

Brother dearest.  Save all the check stubs from the old man's accounts?  Fraudulently sign any of them yourself?  Think this material couldn't be obtained from the banks either through discovery or a criminal investigation?  Still own the house on Condict Rd.?   Any other properties besides this one and the old man's you stole with the help of your shyster bastard? Be interesting to see how far your assets extend and where.  Think all that information isn't accessible?  That I won't determinedly obtain it?

That not only an extensive Internet search will be conducted that will likely take months to complete?  But an extensive background check as well?  Think the Catholic high school you attended shouldn't be informed of the thievery of one of its graduates?  Think the clerics there would be appalled at their failure to teach you right from wrong?  How about both universities?  Think neighbors in the old man's neighborhood won't be informed of your deception?  Think they don't have a right to know?

Ever follow the advice of Dr. Bert Wiser, psychological statistics professor at MSU?  That is, get treatment for your achingly debilitating instability?  Is that why you wound up looting the old man?  Or, is it simply a convenient excuse you'll use to defend the indefensible?  Think this will end any time soon?  That is, public exposure of you as a thieving son of a bitch?  We're just getting started, Bro.  Just getting started.

Don't like it?  Tough shit.  Sue me you thieving son of a bitch.  Would use discovery to learn and post on this website all there is to know about you, your activities, predilections, business 'deals,' as well as all your financial transactions, etc..  All of it.  Would certainly avoid the expense of an extensive background check on you, thieving brother dearest.

Even if you were successful in court, there is nothing for you to take, this remains, as well, a homesteading state where minimal assets are protected anyway.  This site is hosted in an overseas country that doesn't particularly like government intrusion, remains not prone to cooperate.  Besides, can always upload to another webhost in still yet another country.  The possibilities are endless, Bro.  Just takes willingness, effort, unshakable determination.

Even if I lost it all would be more than worth it to expose you for the goddamned thieving son of a bitch you truly are.  Even if you bribed a goddamned nazi 'judge' to remove posted material, would not cooperate and be more than willing to rot in jail.  Would certainly keep reposting it all no matter the cost and/or personal consequences every time it was taken down.  Forget, you thieving son of a bitch?  I never ever give up.

Since all I seek is your exposure for the thief you truly are, would all be worth it.  For the sake of principle.  All the work, financial cost, as well as the time I am about to dedicate to this effort, you deceptive, unstable, sick, thieving son of a bitch.  Unlike you, I live on principle and have absolutely nothing to lose.  You do.  Will certainly take great pleasure and satisfaction in doing all I can to publicly expose you for whom and what you are.

To say nothing of placing enormous pressure on prosecutors you and your equally corrupt shyster son of a bitch apparently bribed.  Don't like it?  Again, tough shit. Chew harder.  The public needs to know to protect itself.  From you and your shyster bastard.  People who live and travel in your circles as well.  Including his.  As a thief, you and he can't be trusted by anyone.  You'll determinedly f--k them.

More than willing to provide this truly public service.  People certainly need to know whom and what you are.  What you have sadly become.  You certainly weren't brought up to be a thieving son of a bitch.  What happened?  Where did you lose yourself, Bro?  -- Never mind.  ... Truly doesn't matter.  Only your exposure.

TC 4-22-16

Hey, Bro?  Remember me?  How soon they conveniently forget.  ... Half asleep? -- Out to lunch?  ... In your own perverse little world?  That of a criminal?  Wake up.  Conveniently, gutlessly forget?  Insanely believe you're someway, somehow off the hook?  Think again.  We're not done.  You remain a thief who will be exposed for whom and what your are.  What you certainly have become.  No question about that.  Patience, you thieving son of a bitch.  Exposure is coming.  Promise.

Think I don't have time?  Truly believe the ongoing Presidential fiasco ends no matter who wins?  The murderous decay in law enforcement gets resolved any time soon?  Criminal Wells Fargo employees from local Kingsland bank manager Amanda S. Wright right up to and including CEO John Stumpf get prosecuted in the near future despite egregious criminal activity?  Wouldn't hold my breath, would you?

Think I don't have time to handle all this and your public exposure for the estate-stealing criminal son of a bitch you've truly become?  How could you steal from the old bastard, you incredibly sad sack of shit?  Certainly weren't brought up to be a thief.  What happened to you?  Where'd you lose yourself?

No question, 2017 will be a most remarkable, defining year for you, Bro.  Public exposure for the thieving piece of shit you've sadly become.  It's on the way. Promise.  Hope you sue.  Nothing for you to take.  Tough, isn't it?  Certainly, makes me judgment proof.  Will certainly, as well, take advantage of discovery.  Publish every detail I can get my hands on.  No matter the consequences.  Only consideration?  Prime directive?  Your exposure for whom and what you are.

Readers?  This not-so-brotherly piece of shit stole from our father.  Manipulated the old man to line his pockets.  Just like our uncle on my mother's side of the family did to my grandmother.  Runs in the family.  Our family.   ... Right, Bro?  This game now gets played my way, -- not yours, you son of a bitch.  That is, no more U.S. Mail tag.

Anything sent by mail will be refused, returned unopened.  Want contact?  Email.  libertyinperil@riseup.net.  Quick.  Easy.  Better yet?  A digital record.  Permanent.  Easily accessible.  Easily uploaded to this site when and if it becomes necessary.  The shyster bastard you hired to steal the estate shouldn't expect escape, either, from public exposure as the thieving piece of shit he, like you, truly both are.  Unscrupulous thieves.

Sincerely hope that piece of crap sues as well.  Nothing to take.  Discovery again would be published no matter the personal cost.  Nothing quite like public exposure, is there?  Especially, when it is nothing but the truth and there is absolutely nothing to lose exposing two pieces of criminal shit for whom and what they are.  Two pieces of gutless human excrement who looted an old man.  ... Right, Bro?

There is no better disinfectant than sunlight, readers.  Glaring sunlight.  Dazzling brilliance.  Amazing how the roaches run for cover.  Equally pointedly, how vermin on two legs manage to so easily prey on the elderly courtesy of the out of control fascist police-state we now live in.  While there'll never be any justice vis a vis this theft, there will be exposure to the brilliant light of day for both criminal perpetrators.  Count on it, you not-so-brotherly criminal son of a bitch.

TC 10-7-16

Hey, Bro?  Hear of Old Sturbridge Village?  Haven't?  ... Not lying, are you, you thieving son of a bitch?  You and your long-term companion EC conspire, bequeath some of the old man's loot to this museum?  An achingly stingy gift of $250-$499, -- considering the size of the estate?  The CEO and Board have any idea you stole it?  Think they'd care?  -- Just getting started, dearest, dearest Bro.  ... Delusionally believe I haven't more than enough time, resources, determination to expose you for the thieving piece of crap you truly are?  ... Under $500 back in 2013?  Remarkably parsimonious with stolen money aren't you?   What does it feel like to have gutlessly ripped off an incompetent old man?  -- Dear old Dad.  Certainly, look forward to digging much deeper into how you and your shyster lawyer managed to bamboozle and loot the old bastard.  Back in the day, certainly wouldn't have fallen for your bullshit.  Would have kicked your worthless, thieving ass out the door.  Intend to expose it to the light of day.  Indeed, a public service. Seatbelts on, you thieving son of a bitch. Tally ho!

TC 3-24-17

... Brief aside, dear readers, for a most exceptional reason.  -- Although infrequent, pressing ongoing personal business must come first on rare occasion.  Hope you agree, moreover, find it entertaining, -- as this writer did crafting what follows.  Principle trumps all.  Remains prime mover, prime directive no matter what.

This pressing issue involves a family thief. A heartless predator preying on the elderly who must be held accountable, exposed to the light of day.  Especially, since authorities failed to do their job.  The following is part of that continuing effort to expose this piece of shit for whom and what he is:

Hey, Bro?  Guess what?  Me, again.  Most determined pain in the ass.  Miss me?  An inconvenient, nagging hemorrhoid that simply won't go away no matter what.  -- A pile with a smile that takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

... Delusionally think this most persistent nemesis of yours conveniently disappeared to parts unknown, vanished in thin air? To give a turd a break?  Wake up.  Not a chance, you thieving son of a bitch.  ... When you insanely believe this writer's gone and you're finally in the clear, guess what, here I am, right in your face.

Despite what's going on across our formerly great country, always have more than enough time for personal business.  That is, exposing you, Bro, to the glaring light of day.  A pathetically greedy predator.  Your target, who else, the elderly.  Most defenseless, vulnerable, an easy fleece.  -- Thought you'd steal from the surly old curmudgeon with impunity, no consequences?

Successfully escape accountability?  Avoid detection, all responsibility?  Blatant theft of an old man's estate?  A little help from a bought and paid for hopelessly greedy unprincipled shyster?  Supposed cake walk due to 1800 miles separation?  No one to hold you accountable?  Your feet to the fire?  What could you possibly been thinking?

You've read this publication before.  Know precisely who and what I am, what I do.  Never give up.  Never say die.  Ignore all obstacles.  Know full well Liberty In Peril modus operandi remains as relentlessly ferocious, blindingly intense as ever.

No punches pulled.  No slack.  No personal consideration.  Certainly, not for a gutless son of a bitch, no more than a thieving predator.  Looted target, guess who, dear old dad.  Pitiful.  Delusionally believe you had the booty coming?  An entitlement?  For having had to put up with his shit all those years?  Wake up.

Hear of Historic Deerfield?  Of course, you have, you lying son of a bitch.  Forget?  You're one of their not-so-generous 'benefactors.'  ... With all the money stolen from our father's estate, only bequeath them a piss poor $40 bucks?

Unbelievable.  An achingly tight, cheap, thieving, worthless piece of duplicitous crap.  ... Write-off?  Negligible.  ... Feather in the cap? How?  Delusionally believe your treachery would never see the light of day? What planet do you live on?

Board of Trustees Chair Anne K. Groves know full well you looted the estate?  How about President Philip Zea?  Think both don't have a right to know?  How about Anne Lanning, Vice President For Museum Affairs?  To say nothing of Susan Martinelli, Vice President For Business Affairs?

These officials are entitled to know precisely whom they're doing business with.  A thief.  Gutless phony.  Blow-hard fraud.  Hoity-toity dandy.  Worse?  An unprincipled thief who stole from his father.  ... Glaring light of day sucks, doesn't it, Bro?  No escaping the unvarnished truth, this most bitter reality.  Not a chance.

Saddest of all?  Back in the day, Hell would have frozen over before anyone would have have been able to rip off the craggy old bastard.  Remember quite well how intent, determined he was not to be fleeced late in life by a sick son of a bitch like you.

A leech.  Ironic, isn't it?  Gutless rip off of an old man who couldn't adequately handle his affairs any longer.  How do you sleep nights?

Fraud runs in the family, clearly.  History repeating itself.  Right in the footsteps of our grandmother's son, who callously ripped off his mother decades ago.  Again, another achingly pathetic piece of human excrement.  Just like you.  Intend to lay it bare.  Methodically.  Painstakingly. In great detail.  Living, breathing color.

For all to see.  A public service.  Exposure of the criminal piece of human excrement you truly are.  For sustained public review.  A goddamned thief.  Pissed? Chagrined?  Nonplused?  Tough shit.  Sue.  Would certainly immediately post all discovery no matter the consequences.

All snail mail will be returned unopened.  No phone tag.  Got something to say?  Email.  Say it right here.  On this website.  In public.  For the world to see.  Will be posted in its entirety.  No editing.  Unlike you, this writer doesn't lie, cheat, steal.  Honors his word.  Intend to expose you precisely for whom and what you are.

Duplicitous predator who preyed on his own father.  Blinding exposure to benefit the community.  Have nothing to lose providing this public service, but you do.  No better disinfectant than sunshine.

.. Think the old bastard not spinning in his grave?  -- Old lady not doing the same?  One thing for certain.  Neither brought you up to be a goddamned thief.  Yet, here we are.  ... Until next time, Tally Ho!

TC 7-14-17

September 15, 2017

The sixteenth anniversary of the 9/11 attack brings back sad, heartrendingly poignant memories of the catastrophe.  Worse, gallingly, remains a haunting reminder of all civil and constitutional rights and liberties forfeited, lost, intentionally, determinedly, concertedly abrogated by the gutless, sniveling bastards of both major political parties.

Readers are reminded the Bush "The Tush" and "Slick Dick" Cheney Administration egregiously failed to do full background checks on the 9/11 hijackers.  Worse, failed to heed warnings by the flight schools the terrorist bastards wished only to learn how to fly straight and level, not take off and land.  Not one head rolled.  Not one.  No one held accountable for this egregious failure to act.

Instead, both Democrats and Republicans chose to abrogate all civil and constitutional rights and liberties in a phony effort to 'protect' the American public.  Homeland 'Security' Act, USA 'Patriot' Act, 'Real' ID Act, etc..  Sadly, the list can go on and on.  The terrorists won that day.  The American public lost constitutional protections and guaranties wisely intended by the Founders.  All falsely, in the name of 'security.'

As Franklin shrewdly opined well over 200 years ago, anyone willing to trade liberty for security deserves and winds up with neither.  Precisely, what happened after 9/11 at the hands of the traitorous bastards in Congress.  Both parties.  Now, egregiously exacerbated by election and inauguration of an unfit, unqualified, national socialist narcissist to the highest office of the land, the Presidency, now occupied by the Trump nazi.

As this clueless, insane, fascist bastard continues to reek havoc, our formerly great country continues to deteriorate, transform from the de facto fascist police-state we already live in to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  This man and his henchmen present an exigent threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.

Again, as repeatedly stated in this publication ad nauseum, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element present a greater threat to our way of life, life itself, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than all levels and branches of government including their criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  The revolution doomsday clock indeed strikes ever closer to midnight, -- as our formerly great country continues to nazify.  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.

While there are indeed some who believe the government would win due to overwhelming military superiority and weapons systems, it would be a colossal mistake to underestimate the determination of a well-armed citizenry who would never accept the imposition of nazism in this country.  The unwanted war would be extremely bloody, costly, long-term, and employ guerilla tactics to level the playing field.

Precisely, why this ongoing issue must be resolved before too late.  Well before the point of no return.  Few countries make it two hundred years before a revolution.  Ours came dangerously close during the Vietnam debacle fifty years ago.  Our country remains far more divided today.  Precisely, why the status quo remains unsustainable.  There must be change.  The alternative?  Unwanted.  Dreaded.

NBC News reports:

"President Donald Trump observed the 16th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks Monday, his first presidential remembrance of the attack that killed nearly 3,000 Americans.  The president, joined by the First Lady, called the occasion "extraordinary."  "Our values will endure. Our people will thrive," Trump said, speaking at the Pentagon paying tribute to those who perished there on 9/11. "Our nation will prevail and the memory of our loved ones will never, ever die."

The problem remains, "our values" clearly have not.  Been perverted, lost to systemic cowardice, rise of the Nazi Right.

"The terrorists who attacked us thought they could incite fear and weaken our spirit but America cannot be intimidated," Trump said. "And those who try will soon join the long list of vanquished enemies who dared to test our mettle."

False bravado.  Achingly, empty rhetoric.  Forget?  The cowardly leadership of our formerly great country deliberately succumbed to the 9/11 terrorists by abrogating all civil and constitutional rights and liberties in response to the catastrophe.  Both parties.  USA 'Patriot' Act, Homeland 'Security' Act, 'Real' ID Act, etc..  List can go on and on.

Sadly, these traitorous gutless bastards in government to this day fail to acknowledge their abject cowardice, the fact they deliberately caved in to the enemy vis a vis this determined evisceration of constitutional principles heretofore held inviolable.  No longer in a de facto fascist police-state, soon to be the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.

Again and ad nauseum, as Franklin wisely opined well over two hundred years ago, anyone willing to trade liberty for security deserves and winds up with neither.  Current unsustainable status quo remains proof positive.  Founders?  Spinning in their graves.  Adolf and Benito?  Wildly cheering on their fiery perches.  Doomsday clock striking ever closer to midnight. Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.

The following remains symptomatic of what has gone so terribly wrong in our formerly great country.  NPR StoryCorps reports:

"Salman Hamdani was a 23-year-old Muslim-American on Sept. 11, 2001. He was an emergency medical technician and police cadet, and that morning as terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York City, he rushed to the scene to help."

Heroically. Uncommon valor.

"Talat Hamdani says her son Salman, pictured here in 1983, was so proud to be an American. Salman died responding to the Sept. 11 attacks in New York City.  Like thousands of others, Salman never came home that night.  "We went searching for him in different hospitals and his name was not there," says his mother, Talat Hamdani."

Here's what's so terribly un-American, -- gallingly, outrageously, bigoted nazi in nature vis a vis the untimely loss of this truly selfless hero:

"In the weeks after Sept. 11, Salman was wrongfully linked as an accomplice to the attacks.  "I remember there was a flyer circulating about Salman," Talat recalls. "It said 'Wanted by Terrorist Task Force.' Reporters printed his picture and published an article that said 'Missing or Hiding?'"

Think this heroic patriot deserved this?  Because of the color of his skin?  His name?

"Talat says her son was proud to be an American all his life."

Died for his country.

"She also says her son was caring from a young age.  "He was just a different soul," Talat says. "I remember there was this sparrow and its wing was damaged or something, so we tried to nurse it. Then he went to school and when he came back he asked me 'What happened to the bird?' I said, 'The bird died. I threw it in the trash bin.' "Talat says her son was upset by this, so he went to the backyard and buried the bird.   "That was him — helpful, loving," she says. "He probably saw the towers burning and then ran to help that day."  Salman's remains were found near the North Tower.  "They gave us a bag, with his jeans and his belt," Talat says. "They said his body parts were in 34 pieces."  A couple weeks after Salman's remains were found, he finally had a hero's burial in April 2002. His casket was draped in an American flag and hundreds of people attended his funeral, including the city commissioner and then-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.  "There's a vacuum in life when you lose a child," Talat says. "It's a sense of incompleteness and you always feel it. He gave me the joys of motherhood and the pains of motherhood."

Time to wake up.

No wifi access in the Kingsland Public Library 9-11-17, 9-12-17.  Both routers remained down for hours at the very least.  On 9/13, there was no wifi access at all. The librarians, deafeningly mum, have no explanation.  Imagine that.  Apparently, remain under enormous pressure.  Patrons on library machines complained data flow was at a snail's pace.

This bullshit has been going on so long hard to believe it's not intentional.  Especially, after the County Judge was informed nearly a month and a half ago.  Looted taxpayers are clearly not receiving what they paid for.  Be interesting to see how long this fiasco continues, how long the County continues to hold looted taxpayers hostage.  Stay tuned.

In stark contrast to Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, consider how law enforcement has risen to the occasion in Florida:

A natural catastrophe can bring out the very best, -- and worst.  Fox News reports:

"Authorities in Florida warned residents that "going to prison over a pair of sneakers is a fairly bad life choice" following a series of burglary arrests as Hurricane Irma was slamming the state with heavy rains and winds.

"#FLPD Can't say we didn't warn you...28 YOs Ryan Cook & Max Saintvil each face 6 counts of burglary from overnight #HurricaneIrma pic.twitter.com/GyPhAeMAVZ
    — Fort Lauderdale PD (@FLPD411) September 10, 2017"

What could these people possibly been thinking?  Especially, in light of the fact this is a 24/7/365 news cycle we live in:

"Police in Fort Lauderdale said nine were arrested in connection to a sportswear store burglary. The group, which was filmed by a local news station, allegedly stole sneakers.

"More looting in Ft Lauderdale during #IRMA. Watch as these ppl steal shoes from the Foot Locker on Sunrise Blvd. #pathetic @WPLGLocal10 pic.twitter.com/WmUbLli2KR
    — Sanela Sabovic (@SabovicSanela) September 10, 2017"

Looting is akin to grave robbing.  Especially, after a catastrophe.

"Police Chief Rick Maglione warned people in the statement that “Going to prison over a pair of sneakers is a fairly bad life choice” and residents should instead “Stay home and look after your loved ones and be thankful they are all safe.”

Great advice.  Fair warning.

"The Miami-Dade Police Department also said on Twitter that there were 28 arrests for looting."

Sad, isn't it?  Especially, during a catastrophe when law enforcement has far greater issues to deal with.  ... Such as saving life.

Law enforcement certainly made great effort to get the word out ahead of time:

"Police departments across the state warned residents for days ahead of Hurricane Irma's landfall not to loot.  Similar warnings were issued by other police departments across the state. “Any looters who come to Pembroke Pines will be greeted by our officers. Choose wisely and stay home,” wrote the Pembroke Pines Police Department.  The Broward County Sheriff’s Office, meanwhile, wrote: “ATTENTION LOOTERS; Every incident will be investigated. Evidence collected will be used to pursue charges after the fact.”

"Looting during the storm will not be tolerated. Looters will be identified, investigated, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. pic.twitter.com/EXBo16gv55
    — Broward Sheriff (@browardsheriff) September 10, 2017"

As well, they should.

"The warning came hours after a Broward deputy shot a 17-year-old burglary suspect in Weston, Fla. The out-of-town homeowners spotted a burglary in progress on their home security cameras and called the Broward Sheriff’s Office, authorities said.  Dylan Lemon of Weston was shot outside the home about 3 a.m. Sunday. He went to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. His alleged accomplice Jean Coello, 17, also of Weston, was arrested."

Both are lucky to be alive.  Where were, and are their parents?

CBS News had the following take on the looting:

"Police in Florida have arrested nine people who were caught on TV cameras looting sneakers and other goods from a sporting goods store and a pawn shop during Hurricane Irma.  Fort Lauderdale Police Chief Rick Maglione said the group was arrested Sunday as the storm roared across South Florida. Maglione called the idea of stealing sneakers during a hurricane "a fairly bad life choice."  CBS Miami's Hank Tester drove by Simon's Sportswear in Fort Lauderdale where he actually witnessed one of several looters running out of the store through a smashed in window while holding stolen merchandise.  Tester yelled out at the looter, "Hey, What are you doing?" But the thief kept running."

In stark contrast to Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, again consider how law enforcement has risen to the occasion in Florida:

Sadly, an officer and a corrections officer lost their lives in Florida during the catastrophe.  Fox News reports:

"A Florida deputy who was helping at a Hurricane Irma evacuation center and a corrections officer heading to start his shift were killed in a head-on crash Sunday morning.  Hardee County Deputy Julie Bridges died during the crash in southeast Tampa, WFLA reported. The Florida Department of Corrections said Sgt. Joseph Ossman, who was heading to start his shift at the Hardee Correctional Institution, also died."

In stark contrast to Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, again consider how law enforcement has risen to the occasion in Florida:

Fox News reports:

"Florida deputies rescued two people who attempted to brave out Hurricane Irma in their anchored boat on Sunday, entering treacherous waters as Irma was set to make landfall in minutes.  Martin County Sheriff’s Marine and Strike teams rescued the two people just off Jensen Beach, the Atlantic Coast north of Palm Beach, Sunday morning. It’s unclear why the pair were still out on their boat.  “MCSO Marine Rescue complete. Everyone is safe. Good job everyone,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Twitter with a video of the man and woman walking off the boat.  A video showed the two boats bobbing in choppy water as the deputies were helping the couple onto their boat.

"The couple’s names were not released and they were not injured."

Hat's off to these heroes who placed their lives in great danger during this raging catastrophe. What the hell was the couple doing in an anchored boat during a hurricane?

In stark contrast to Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn and his criminal SS jackbooted bastards in black who continue to egregiously disgrace themselves and the badge, consider how law enforcement has risen to the occasion elsewhere in Texas:

CBS News reports:

"Police say eight people, including the suspect, were shot to death at a home in Plano, Texas, Sunday evening, CBS Dallas / Fort Worth reports.  Police say the incident happened at a home in a neighborhood on West Spring Creek Parkway.  Plano Police PIO David Tilley says officers responded to the residence just after 8 p.m. local time after gunshots were reportedly heard.  According to police, an officer also fatally shot the suspect in the deadly shooting."

What makes this extraordinary and particularly courageous is the fact this was apparently not a SWAT team:

"He actually heard gunshots and that's when he made entry into the house. That's when he observed several victims inside then engaged the suspect. And that's when he shot him," said Officer Tilley.  CBS Dallas / Fort Worth reporter Steve Pickett tweeted what appears to be the police response to the incident:

"#breaking #Plano police say 8 deaths. All shooting victims. 1700 W Spring Creek Parkway pic.twitter.com/egXe2WbIap
    — STEVE PICKETT (@STEVEPICK11) September 11, 2017"

There were additional casualties beside the dead:

"Two others were also found wounded from the shooting. They were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.  Officer Tilley says all the victims are adults.  No officers were injured."

If this account is as it appears to be, hat's off to the officers.

Wake up, Sheriff.  Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office?  Seventy-three weeks, now.  A goddamned disgrace.  Why are you still sitting on this information?  What are you hiding, Sheriff?  What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise?  Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons?  Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.

Who are they, Sheriff?  Their past history?  An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse.  How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information?  Seventy-three weeks.  Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger.  To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff?  Those of your thugs?  The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down.  You don't understand that, Sheriff?  Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one.  Including taxpayers.  Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot.  The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt.  Think not?  Wake up.  Your credibility has tanked.  Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated.  Seventy-three weeks.   Still no identification of the officers involved  ... Can't get your stories straight?  In line?  Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS?  Wake up, Sheriff.  The public no longer buys the bullshit.  No longer trusts you.  On this and many, many other issues.  You have no credibility.  Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so.  There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow.  If there are any others I may have neglected to mention, kindly email.

It's time the public be fully informed.  -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County.  If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be yours courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone.  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why.  This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet.  Ignored.  The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us.  They can't be.  They've lied too many times.  Refuse to be accountable to anyone.  We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases.  Usually, with impunity.  That has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement.  This also has to change.  No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer.  No one.  No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar.  There was no justice there.  None here.  None anywhere.  Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers.  Court fees charged continue to be horrendous.  -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs?  Aren't you boys not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs?   Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit.  This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt, abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

Would you believe the last time the Sheriff's Office happened to be 'audited' during the Garrett regime, reportedly, auditors couldn't figure out what went where and why?  Yet, surprise, surprise.  Nothing was done.  There has to be transparency.  There is none.  Why would these thieving bastards want any?  ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  How else could they so easily steal and loot with virtual impunity?  Worse, this reinforces jackbooted power in this goddamned, godforsaken hell hole County.

The public has a right to know the histories of the Sheriff's goons.  Clearly, the Sheriff doesn't think so.  That is, where they came from.  Why they left where they were.  What is happening here is the Sheriff is using 'personnel matters' as a convenient excuse to deny the public access to the history of outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept officers who are no more than criminals themselves.

He's protecting his outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards.  Worse, the standards imposed by sheriff's offices statewide with the exception of metropolitan counties are well below those of DPS and city police departments.  Why?  So the corruption, abuse, ineptness, and outright stealing can continue unabated?  This has to change.  ... Can't have that, can we?  Sheriff?  TL?

The public should understand Llano County authorities have it all sewn up.  Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own?  The District Attorney has to call for an investigation by the Texas Rangers.  Then, the State can prosecute if it so chooses.

Consequently?  Guess what?  Nothing will happen.  Nothing ever does.  The goddamned corruption continues unabated until you, the public, pressure authorities.  Precisely, why we all enjoy the 'best' government money can buy. Literally.  Without question, the corrupt, abusive, inept sons of bitches are all bought and paid for.  Firmly clamped to the taxpayer tit.  Dependent on money looted from innocent citizens caught in their web.  Phony fines and court costs cleverly designed to f--k the innocent and enrich the pieces of shit who falsely believe they run and own Llano County. Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

Interestingly, the former Sheriff and District Attorney were reportedly forced to retire after an outrageous scandal involving a drunk driving police officer from out of town.  Including special treatment of the drunken son of a bitch that no other citizen caught doing the same would have been afforded.  An honest, honorable Llano County Deputy suffered the consequences.  Forget?  Great officers do not last in this hell hole County. ... Right, Sheriff?  TL?  "Sonny Boy?"  Madam County Attorney?

With all ongoing abuse in this goddamned County, one thing remains for damned sure.  We're just getting started, Sheriff.  You will continue to be exposed for whom and what you and your corrupt, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards have become, truly are, not what you phonies purport to be, that is, how you continue to f--k over a public you've falsely sworn to protect and defend.  -- Exposure, the only way short of an unwanted dreaded revolution to force desperately needed change in a goddamned fascist police-state. The Fourth Reich.

Have your jackbooted thugs been tested for steroids, Sheriff?  If you've nothing to hide, Bill, release the results of all drug testing.  'Personnel matters?'  Bullshit.  Looted taxpayers have the right to know.  They're footing the bill for all this goddamned corruption, abuse, ineptness.  When will you and the boys end the shakedowns?  Looting of the innocent to line County coffers?  No honor at all?

Where are your swastika armbands, you fascist son of a bitch?  You and your thugs remain out of uniform.  Once again, Sheriff, and ad nauseum, did you and/or your goons pressure Schilling to exit the race?  Did you steal the election?  If so, an aggressively stupid, achingly gutless public gets what it truly deserves.  One of the most corrupt, abusive, inept 'law' 'enforcement' agencies in our formerly great country.

Have any information, knowledge of, experience with a purportedly non-profit volunteer clean-up group called Looking Forward In Llano County affiliated with the Llano County Attorney's Office?  Email this publication at libertyinperil@openmailbox.org to provide information and/or arrange a meeting to discuss this matter.  If requested, your identity will be protected.  The question is quite simple.  Is this group what it claims to be and on the level?

Think law enforcement shouldn't better vet personnel?  Both before and during employment?  ABC News reports:

"A judge sentenced a former New Jersey police officer on Thursday to 20 years in prison for firebombing his supervisor's home, and said his time on the force "was a complete fraud."

How does this happen?  How could no one have known?  No full pre-employment background check including talking to friends, neighbors, family members, employers, etc.?

"Under terms of a plea agreement, Michael Dotro, 40, of Manalapan, must serve 17 years before he'll become eligible for parole."

Think that sufficient?  Won't remain an exigent threat to the community after release?

"The reality is that this person took his position as a police officer and turned it into a nightmarish story line," Superior Court Judge Pedro Jimenez said.  Dotro did not speak during Thursday's sentencing. He had been an Edison police officer for 10 years.  He previously pleaded guilty to attempted murder and arson. He admitted setting fire to Edison police Capt. Mark Anderko's home in Monroe Township in May 2013. Anderko's wife, two children and mother were in the house at the time, but weren't injured."

This guy should never get out.  How could he ever be trusted?  Not considered a threat to the community?

"Authorities have said Dotro was angry about a recent transfer and a forced psychological evaluation."

All the more reason he should have been permanently removed from society.  If not in prison, than certainly a facility for the deranged.

"Sneaking up on a home in the early morning hours while everyone was asleep and knowing that other people were in the home, that's depraved, there's no doubt," the judge said."

Precisely, why it's hard to believe he won't present an ongoing, exigent threat to the community after release.

To protect and serve?  Think so?  Fox News reports:

"A former Ohio police officer pleaded guilty Monday to sexually abusing two women with a sex toy during an illegal traffic stop earlier this year, police said."

Think this shit doesn't go on all over the country, usually remaining unreported?

"Kenneth Bolton Jr., 49, pleaded guilty to felony gross sexual imposition and misdemeanor interfering with civil rights, Cleveland.com reported. Prosecutors dropped a kidnapping charge."

Is this the new normal in policing as the country continues to deteriorate?

"Bolton, who was a 16-year veteran of the Cleveland Police Department, lost his license to be a police officer due to his guilty plea to a felony charge. He'll also have to register as a sex offender.  The former cop illegally stopped two women, ages 22 and 23, in February when he spotted their car in Cleveland. Bolton had heard over a police radio that the women were previously cited about a half hour before he stopped them."

This son of a bitch is a goddamned predator.

"Bolton then sexually assaulted the women by using a sex toy he spotted in their vehicle, prosecutors said. He was fired two weeks after the traffic stop when an internal investigation was conducted.  Bolton’s sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 16."

In follow up to the last edition, ABC News reports:

"Prosecutors have asked the FBI to join an investigation into the rough arrest of a Utah nurse after video of her being dragged screaming from a hospital drew widespread condemnation, authorities said Thursday.  Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill is overseeing a criminal investigation into officers involved in the handcuffing of nurse Alex Wubbels. He is asking for FBI help in part because his office can't prosecute possible civil rights violations like wrongful arrest, Gill said."

Why weren't the officer and his supervisor fired, arrested, charged?  Had it been a civilian, his or her sorry ass wouldn't have been coddled and protected.

"This is a very important issue, and it's of great concern in our community," he said. A federal probe could also look for any larger systematic problems that contributed to the arrest, Gill said."

Hopefully, it will not be simply a whitewash, colossal waste of time.  Forget?  We already live in a goddamned fascist police-state, soon to be the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  No question, Trump's sidekick in the 'Justice' Department, the Sessions nazi, ludicrously, insanely believes police do no wrong.

"The FBI opened its own civil rights review after the video surfaced last week and has agreed to assist the county investigation, FBI spokeswoman Sandra Yi Barker said."

Symbolism over substance?  No more than a ruse?

"Salt Lake City police detective Jeff Payne insisted on drawing the blood, maintaining in his report that he wanted the sample to protect the man rather than prosecute him. He was supported by his supervisor, Lt. James Tracy, who said the nurse could be arrested if she didn't agree."

Apparently, a second officer was involved in the incident who still has not been identified.  Why not?

"Payne, who has worked for the department for over 20 years, was put on paid leave by Salt Lake City police after the video emerged. A second officer also put on leave has not been identified, but police have said Tracy's actions are also under review."

In update to the above, police are indeed changing their story.  Get this.  NBC News reports:

"A Utah police officer whose rough arrest of a hospital nurse has drawn condemnation put the woman in handcuffs even after investigators told him not to worry about getting a blood sample he was seeking from a patient, the chief whose department asked for it said Friday."

Fascinating, isn't it?  Why did it take this long to amend the record?  Appears the department is attempting damage control at the expense of justice.

"Officers initially wanted the sample as a routine part of a car crash investigation, said Logan Police Chief Gary Jensen. But after Salt Lake City Police detective Jeff Payne was told he'd need a warrant or formal consent to get it, colleagues told him that they would pursue another strategy.  "He simply said, 'Don't worry about it. We'll go another way,'" Jensen said."

Is that right?  Why wasn't this immediately disclosed to the public?

"Payne nevertheless insisted. When nurse Alex Wubbels held her ground based on the University of Utah hospital's policy, Payne dragged her screaming from the hospital in handcuffs. Salt Lake City police apologized and put Payne on paid leave after dramatic video of the July 26 arrest surfaced.  Police spokeswoman Christina Judd said an internal review will look at the directions Payne received and how he responded."

Think these bastards aren't 'winging' it as they go?  Desperate to explain the inexplicable?  Worse and inexcusable?  Get this:

"Payne was supported by his supervisor, Lt. James Tracy, who is shown on the body-camera video continuing to insist that police have the right to get the blood after Wubbels was handcuffed in a police car.  Tracy's lawyer told the Deseret News that he's been the target of multiple online threats and had to shut down his social media pages since the video was released. Attorney Ed Brass said Tracy has served Salt Lake City for nearly 30 years, and judgment should be withheld until a full investigation is complete. Tracy has also been placed on paid leave."

While this bastard's judgment remains highly in question, any threats to this man online or elsewhere are inexcusable, criminal.  Counterproductive.  Police need to quickly get to the bottom of what happened in that emergency room, why it happened, take appropriate action to ensure it never happens again.  Prosecute the officer for criminal assault of the nurse as well as false arrest.

Think we don't live in a goddamned fascist police-state?  Wake upThe Washington Times reports:

"The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit in federal court Wednesday challenging the government’s policy permitting searching cellphones of travelers entering the U.S., calling it a violation of privacy rights."

No probable cause.  No warrant.

"The ACLU filed on behalf of 11 people who had their electronic devices searched without probable cause. In four cases, the government kept the plaintiffs’ cellphones for weeks or even months, the lawsuit says."

No probable cause.  No warrantA goddamned fascist police-state.

"The lawsuit comes at a time when Homeland Security is stepping up border searches, but has struggled to explain exactly what officers are looking for. Only a tiny fraction of travelers — less than a hundredth of one percent — actually face a search, but the numbers have been growing, reaching a rate of 82 searches a day as of earlier this year — more than three times the rate in 2015."

These goddamned criminal jackbooted bastards are on an egregiously unconstitutional fishing trip.

"Customs and Border Protection officials say they’re trying to “enforce the nation’s laws in this digital age,” and say they’ve found information on potential terrorist plots, child pornography, visa fraud and violations of export laws."

No probable cause.  No warrant.  No more than goddamned jackbooted liars.

"But CBP has been unable to say how many terrorist plots have been disrupted by the searches."

Because they're liars. Have absolutely no regard for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties. Remain in the mold of Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini.

"The ACLU, in the new lawsuit, said the searches mark a major breach of faith with privacy protections."

Egregious violation of the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendments at the very least.

“The volume and detail of personal data contained on these devices provides a comprehensive picture of travelers’ private lives, making mobile electronic devices unlike luggage or other items that travelers bring across the border,” the lawsuit said."

Doesn't matter to jackbooted nazi government.

"CBP and another immigration agency, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — both part of Homeland Security — have policies allowing border searches of electronic devices without first needing to obtain a warrant or demonstrate probable cause."

Outrageously unconstitutional breech by Congress that supposedly allows this bullshit by statute.

"In most cases the search is instantaneous, but sometimes officers will hold the device — which can be a smart phone, laptop, tablet or other electronic storage medium — to do a more thorough check."

No probable cause.  No warrant.  Nazi America.  A fascist police-state soon to be the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  As repeatedly stated in this publication, no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element present a greater threat to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties than this government, all levels and branches, -- and its criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.

'Can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'  Think not?  Consider the following.  CBS/AP reports:

"People with active warrants in one Florida county might want to think twice about heading to a shelter for Hurricane Irma."

Think the following won't also discourage the undocumented from seeking shelter?

"Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd posted on his official Twitter account Wednesday that deputies will be checking identification at the county's shelters, and anyone with a warrant will be arrested and taken to "the safe and secure shelter called the Polk County Jail."

"If you go to a shelter for #Irma and you have a warrant, we'll gladly escort you to the safe and secure shelter called the Polk County Jail https://t.co/Qj5GX9XQBi
    — Polk County Sheriff (@PolkCoSheriff) September 6, 2017"

What probable cause does this jackbooted piece of shit have to demand identification from anyone entering a shelter?  Simply seeking shelter, help, aid, assistance, etc., is now considered probable cause a crime has been committed?  Goddamned bullshit.  Direct violation of a deliberately, concertedly bastardized United States Constitution, particularly, the Bill of Rights.

"Sheriff's spokeswoman Carrie Horstman says they're trying to educate the public before the storm hits this weekend. She says they're hoping people with warrants will turn themselves and use the next few days to deal with their legal issues."

Again, what probable cause a crime has been committed do these jackbooted assholes have to ask for identification and run a warrants check at a shelter?  Why should an innocent, law-abiding citizen have to put up with this goddamned bullshit?  What probable cause do these jackbooted pieces of shit have that a crime has indeed been committed?  This is akin to police running roadblocks to conduct 'routine checks.'

"Horstman told the newspaper that sheriff's deputies who conduct identity checks at shelters won't know what an outstanding warrant is for, leaving open the possibility that people wanted for misdemeanor offenses could be arrested as the checks are conducted.  "Officers are legally obligated to take a person into custody if they have a warrant," she told the Sentinel."

What we have here is an egregiously unconstitutional Catch-22.  This asshole and his goons are abusing power.  Doing so because the cowardly community tolerates this bullshit.

"The American Civil Liberties Union of Florida told the Sentinel that most people with outstanding warrants in the state are wanted on minor charges, and the group urged Sheriff Judd to, "focus on preparing for Irma, not burnishing your Joe Arpaio-style 'tough cop' credentials with irresponsible tweets."

Even ICE and the Border Patrol have smartened up.  NBC News reports:

"President Donald Trump's Department of Homeland Security had planned nationwide raids to target 8,400 undocumented immigrants later this month, according to three law enforcement officials and an internal document that described the plan as "the largest operation of its kind in the history of ICE," an acronym for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.  But after NBC News reported the plans late Thursday, the agency issued a statement saying it had cancelled nationwide enforcement actions due to Hurricane Irma and the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey."

Imagine that.  More amazing?  Get this:

"While we generally do not comment on future potential law enforcement actions, operational plans are subject to change based on a variety of factors," ICE spokesman Sarah Rodriguez said in a statement. "Due to the current weather situation in Florida and other potentially impacted areas, along with the ongoing recovery in Texas, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had already reviewed all upcoming operations and has adjusted accordingly. There is currently no coordinated nationwide operation planned at this time. The priority in the affected areas should remain focused on life-saving and life-sustaining activities."

You think?  How many people will die as a result of not seeking shelter afraid of arrest due to outstanding warrants or being undocumented?  The Polk County Sheriff's head figuratively remains securely lodged up his jackbooted ass.

If you can't get people with outstanding warrants into the shelters voluntarily so you can haul their sorry asses to jail, never, ever, never give up.  Miami has remarkably come up with a most clever solution.  Give them no choice.  The following is yet another example of the nazi nanny state.  CBS/AP reports:

"On what is likely the last clear day in Florida before Hurricane Irma's monster wind and rain, social workers and police officers are giving Miami's estimated 1,100 homeless people a stark choice: Come willingly to a storm shelter, or be held against their will for a mental health evaluation."

Isn't that precisely what the Soviets did to anyone refusing to tow the mark?  To say nothing of what went on in Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy.  Liberty?  What's that?  The freedom to do what you're told?  What ever happened to the right to be left the hell alone?  To independently live and die as one pleases, provided it does no physical damage to, or inflicts violence on others.

Since no one survives a hurricane unsheltered and no first responders attempt rescues when the storm rages, who's at risk other than the victim who chose not to shelter?  Think suicide is never a rational decision?  Never, ever?  Under any circumstances?  Tell that to someone at the end of life in excruciating pain that can't be adequately controlled.  How about when quality of life no longer exists, cannot be remedied?  Think there's no need for a living will?  Or, for physician assistance vis a vis prescription of medications to be consumed by the terminally ill to end one's life as one sees fit?

"With the outer edge of the storm approaching Friday, these officials -- backed by a psychiatrist and observed by an Associated Press team -- rolled through chillingly empty downtown streets as dawn broke over Biscayne Bay, searching for reluctant stragglers sleeping in waterfront parks.  "We're going out and every single homeless person who is unwilling to come off the street, we are likely going to involuntarily Baker Act them," said Ron Book, chairman of the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust."

The nazi nanny-state.   Government thinks it owns our ass womb to tomb.

"Invoking the "Baker Act" -- a law that enables authorities to institutionalize patients who present a danger to themselves or others - is not something law enforcement does lightly, but officers detained at least six people by Friday afternoon. Under the law, they can be held up to 72 hours before the state would have to go to court to prolong their detention.  By then, Irma's howling winds and terrifying storm surge should be somewhere north of the city.  The Miami Herald reported Thursday that officials planned to use the Baker Act."

Gets worse:

"No one's ever tried this before," Book told the newspaper. "But I'm not going to be the mayor of Houston. I'm not going to tell people to take a Sharpie and write their names on their arm."

It's none of your goddamned business.  Not your body.  Not your life.

"I am not going to sign suicide notes for people who are homeless in my community. I am just not going to do it," Book told the AP. "That's why you have a Baker Act. It's there to protect those who can't otherwise protect themselves."

You goddamned hypocrite.  Where's your sorry ass when there is no pending dangerous killer storm?  What are you doing for the homeless when the sun shines, you grandstanding pompous jackass?  Lining your pockets off the taxpayer tit?

These bastards, in effect, are re-writing the Constitution, cleverly bastardizing the law as well:

"Book's group was working closely with police, who acknowledged that the effort is unusual: Officials said it is the first time Miami has invoked the law for hurricane preparedness.  About 70 people willingly climbed into white vans and police squad cars Friday, joining others who already arrived at shelters. About 600 others were thought to remain outside somewhere, exposed to the storm, despite mandatory evacuation orders for more than 660,000 people in areas that include downtown Miami and coastal areas throughout the county."

Again, remain and don't evacuate?  Despite being in full possession of all your mental faculties?  Determinedly wish to die in the storm?  It's none of government's goddamned business.  What ever happened to liberty?  Why is it that government conducts an autopsy when someone dies in a storm or elsewhere, and there is no probable cause a crime has indeed been committed?  Certainly, exponentially increases the cost of disposing the medical examiner-butchered body.  Unnecessarily loots taxpayers for an autopsy that should never have been performed.

Carefully consider the following, particularly the lack of due process:

"One older man pushing his belongings in an empty wheelchair in Bayfront Park tried to wave them off.

"I don't want nothing," he said, insulting a social worker.

"So you are cool with dying in the streets?" he asked.

"Get out of my goddamn face," he responded.

"What's your name?" asked Dr. Mohammad Nisar, a psychiatrist who was looking for evidence of mental illness, a necessary factor for a Baker Act detention.

"None of your damn business!"

"Police officer James Bernat intervened.

"We are here to help you. Listen to me. You are being very aggressive. We are trying to help you," Bernat said. "It's very dangerous out here."

"You are trying to make me go somewhere I don't want to go," he insisted.

"Finally, the man was handcuffed without a struggle and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for a 72-hour psychiatric evaluation."

Outrageously, unconstitutional.  These nazi bastards disingenuously knew it would never stand up in court as well.  All a ruse.  Think not?  Wake up:

"A person who has a history of mental illness and who is staying in harm's way, and doesn't have a logical cohesion of what is right or what is wrong at that point, is a harm to himself, and at that point we can Baker Act them for his own protection," Nisar explained later."

The operant phrase in the above quote is "A person who has a history of mental illness."  Think there weren't many out there who had no history of mental illness and yet were unconstitutionally detained?  Against their will?  The fix was in. Get this:

"Friday's encounters alone weren't enough to justify their involuntary detention. Nisar said social workers and officers on the team already know these men and can testify to prior signs of mental illness to support each case.  Also, the law requires a court order to keep them detained against their will after 72 hours, and public defenders have pushed back against such requests, citing court rulings that the Baker Act can lead to unconstitutional curtailments of individual liberty.  But those hearings won't happen until Monday at least -- and by then, Irma's wrath will have moved on from Miami."

It's not being argued here the officials did not have the best interests and well-being of the homeless in mind.  Clearly, they did.  Doesn't mean, however, they didn't act outrageously unconstitutionally.  While this might seem a minor point to many or all readers, remains a slippery slope.  What's next?  Who's next?  Give government an inch, they take a light-year.

In follow up to the last edition, remains amazing how Aryan arrogant law enforcement remains.  Get this.  NBC News reports:

"The president of a Las Vegas police union is disputing claims by a Seattle Seahawks football player that he was racially profiled when he was handcuffed and detained following an active shooter report last month.  "Our officers did not detain Bennett because he was 'a black man in the wrong place at the wrong time,'" Las Vegas Police Protective Association President Steve Grammas said in a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Thursday."

Day is night, night is day, and shit smells perversely sweet in the outrageously convoluted world of 'law enforcement.'

"Michael Bennett, a defensive end and a two-time Pro Bowler, said on Twitter Wednesday that an officer "warned me that if I moved he would 'blow my f---ing head off'" and that he was racially profiled when he was handcuffed and detained following a report of an active shooter at the Cromwell Hotel and Casino."

Turns out, there was no active shooter.  How about that?  Didn't, however, prevent the jackbooted president of the police union from continuing to make a jackass of himself:

"The union called for Goodell to investigate the "obvious false allegations." NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said there is no basis for such a probe.  "There is no allegation of a violation of the league's personal conduct policy and therefore there is no basis for an NFL investigation," he said in an email Thursday."

You think?

"There were no shots fired, and the report of an active shooter turned out to be unfounded, police said. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has said an internal investigation is underway."

If in fact Bennett's allegations are true, when will the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue involved be fired, arrested, and charged in this case?  When?  Or, are they being protected?  Consider the following:

"Police department Undersheriff Kevin McMahill played body camera video at a news conference Wednesday he said showed the chaotic scene as officers responded to the shooter report early Aug. 27, which occurred around three hours after the Mayweather-McGregor boxing match.  According to McMahill, Bennett was arrested because officers who were sweeping an area near a nightclub found a person crouched behind a gaming machine. The person, later identified as Bennett, ran out of the south doors and jumped over a wall onto Flamingo Road, causing officers to believe he may have been involved, McMahill said."

That right?  Justify a cop holding a gun to his head and, -- "warned me that if I moved he would 'blow my f---ing head off'"?  Think so?

Think Bennett is lying?  ... Or, the police?

"The football player was handcuffed and held for 10 minutes and then released, he said. McMahil said Wednesday that he has seen no evidence race played a factor in the incident."

Believe it doesn't matter?  Think the department is simply doing no more than protecting its officers, especially since a lawsuit may be pending?  Attempting to unduly influence the jury pool?  Public opinion of the criminal, abusive, inept jackbooted bastards in blue?

"The president of the Las Vegas Police Protective Association said in the letter to Goodell that any claims of racism are false. It said both the officers involved in Bennett’s detention are minorities. McMahill said both officers involved are of Hispanic origin. He did not name the officers Wednesday."

Why haven't the officers been identified?  Why do police quickly release the names of those arrested, 'persons of interest,' etc., but not the identities of officers involved?  Think minority officers aren't trained to engage in racial profiling?  Isn't part of the job?  That is, go along to get along?

"Our officers responded to one of the most dangerous calls a law enforcement officer can be assigned — an active shooter firing rounds in a crowded casino," Grammas wrote in the letter. He said that Bennett’s actions, specifically running from the casino and jumping over a barrier wall, caused officers to focus on him as a potential suspect."

Disingenuous bullshit, and certainly no excuse for consequently what happened to this guy.  None at all.  While it's always stupid to run from the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue, fear makes people do incredibly stupid things.  Especially, when the jackbooted thugs order people to run and then do what they apparently did to this guy.  Readers should carefully consider the following:

"Police video shown by McMahill Wednesday showed several people running from the casino as police arrived, and officers telling people to move."

Precisely, why McMahill's comments appear to be self-serving, unduly protective of the officers.  Especially, since the investigation is ongoing, and there are numerous ongoing, unresolved questions regarding officer conduct.

"In video of the Bennett’s arrest posted online by TMZ Sports Wednesday, Bennett is heard saying he didn’t do anything wrong. "I was here with my friends. They told us to get out — everybody ran," he said. Both officers involved in the arrest had their handguns drawn, McMahill said.  McMahill said that there are at least least 126 videos associated with body and other cameras police have to review, and urged the public to turn in any video they may have recorded. He said if any policies or training were violated the officers would be held accountable."

That's hard to believe.  Think the fix may not be in?  Especially, in view of the following:

"Investigators will look at why the arresting officer did not have a body camera activated, McMahill said."

If you don't yet have an answer as to why this piece of shit did not have his body camera on, why the hell did you even hold a goddamned press conference?  To bamboozle the public?  Influence the jury pool?  Unduly sway public opinion?  Law enforcement has no credibility, yet remains achingly clueless.

People are idiots.  In juxtaposition to the above, consider the following.  ABC News reports:

"Amid a devastating hurricane in Florida, police there are having to warn people not to shoot at the storm after a Facebook event, "Shoot At Hurricane Irma" garnered 54,000 replies of interest."

Hard to believe people could be such idiots.

"To clarify, DO NOT shoot weapons @ #Irma. You won't make it turn around & it will have very dangerous side effects," warns the sheriff in Pasco County, which is north of Tampa along Florida's west coast.

"To clarify, DO NOT shoot weapons @ #Irma. You won't make it turn around & it will have very dangerous side effectshttps://t.co/CV4Y9OJknv
    — Pasco Sheriff (@PascoSheriff) September 10, 2017"

With the calamity now faced in Florida, the last thing law enforcement needs is this insanity.

"A description of the "Shoot At Hurricane Irma" event calls the deadly storm "goofy" and declares, "Let's show Irma we shoot first."

What could these idiots possibly be thinking?

"BBC news reported that Ryon Edwards, 22, launched the virtual "event" in response to a "combination of stress and boredom" he felt prior to the storm's arrival and that he "never envisioned this event becoming some kind of crazy idea larger" than himself."

Say what?

At the same time, there are others selflessly trying to do the right thing.  Fox News reports:

"Actress Kristen Bell has helped another family find shelter in the face of Hurricane Irma.  The "Frozen" star, who is waiting out the storm in Orlando, Florida while she films her upcoming movie "The Feather," helped secure shelter for fellow actress Jennifer Carpenter's grandmother and aunt.  Carpenter, best known for her role on "Dexter," tweeted a picture of her family members thanking Bell for "finding them a way out."  "Gma&aunt were ready2 wear helmets N closet under eye of #HurricanIrma til @IMKristenBell found them a way out," Carpenter shared on Twitter on Saturday."

Bell wasn't done, however:

"Bell also managed to secure a hotel room for actor Josh Gad's family after they were "stranded in Florida."  Gad thanked Bell on Instagram for getting his parents, brothers sister-in-law and niece and nephew a room at the Orlando hotel Bell is staying at.  "So @kristenanniebell literally saved my parents and my entire family tonight from #hurricaneirma," Gad wrote on Instagram Saturday. "When they were stranded in Florida, she got them a hotel room at her hotel in Orlando and saved them...they don't make them like this girl. Thank you Kristin. You are truly an angel sent from above."

Fortunately, calamity seems, for the most part, to bring out the best in society lately:

"Bell told "Good Morning Sacramento" it's "sad that it takes a natural disaster to bring out the best in people" but she's thrilled to see everyone pitch in.

"People decided to bunk up together," she told the morning show which her father is the news director of. "We did a little room switching...we got, I think, 13 [Gad] family members come here last night and I have other friends from LA that did the same thing this morning...we're all sleeping together and it's going to be a giant slumber party."

"When Bell wasn't busy rescuing her friends' families, she visited an Orlando middle school which was being used as a shelter.  The 36-year-old actress shared videos of herself singing for those waiting out the storm."

Then again, calamity can also bring out the worst.  Gouging.  We certainly saw it vis a vis Hurricane Harvey with an increase in the price of gas in excess of a half dollar a gallon in some locations.  Despite laws against gouging in the midst of a catastrophe, the Abbott and Paxton nazis don't seem eager to hold the feet of the oil industry to the proverbial fire.

Consequently, consumers are being royally f--ked over by these hopelessly greedy bastards in the corporate management suite.  The same bullshit appears to be happening in Florida vis a vis the airlines and people desperately trying to escape Hurricane Irma.  NBC News reports:

"Some airlines sent empty planes to Florida and the Caribbean to bring passengers home ahead of the hurricane, while others issued change waivers and capped ticket prices.  After spiking demand for domestic flights out of Miami drove prices as high as $3,000 on some websites, the airlines faced a flurry of online criticism and moved to address the issue."

This is the price to be paid by consumers when corporations fail to be properly regulated, controlled to prevent this bullshit.  Called laissez-faire capitalism where anything goes as long as it lines corporate coffers.

"A tweet from an Arizona public relations professional who spotted a soaring ticket price on Expedia racked up tens of thousands of retweets and likes.

"Shame on you @delta. Jacking from $547 to over $3200 for people trying to evacute responsibly? #IrmaHurricane pic.twitter.com/O2nfPHQUAh
    — Leigh (@LeighDow) September 5, 2017

"The woman later tweeted that Delta had reached out to her and resolved the issue — but she wasn't the only one spotting eye-popping fares.

"Hey @united this is price gouging. There was word you were going to add flights to help people get out of Miami, but this is ridiculous. pic.twitter.com/0qtEDKtEYb
    — Cindi Avila (@ChefCindi) September 6, 2017

"I'm trying to get my mom out of Miami, hoping to avoid #HurricaneIrma @AmericanAir thanks for price gouging. Despicable. pic.twitter.com/Gw5zuMsFIo
    — Liza Lago (@LizaALago) September 5, 2017"

None of this matters to these hopelessly greedy assholes until the bad publicity causes the shit to hit the fan.  Can you imagine the nerve of these bastards raising the price of a ticket as much as approximately ten times what it normally is just prior to the arrival of a deadly hurricane?

In follow up to the last edition, The Washington Times reports:

"As part of a broader effort to connect with their community, Cleveland’s players also will run onto the field before their season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers with emergency workers and military personnel. The groups will then stand together for the national anthem.  After some Browns were criticized for kneeling in prayer during the national anthem before a recent exhibition game, several players felt their display was misinterpreted and wanted to do something more to reach out to the community. They first met with owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam and later with Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams and other officers to develop a “neighborhood plan.”  Team spokesman Peter Jean-Baptiste said that may include players riding along with police on patrol and attending area meetings to help strengthen the relationship between police and citizens.  On Thursday, Browns players Christian Kirksey, Ibraheim Campbell, Seth DeValve, Randall Telfer, Jamie Collins and Ricardo Louis, shared ideas and discussed some plans with Williams."

This, indeed, appears to be a positive development.  Offers some hope of resolution to an ongoing problem.  ... Maybe.

"Browns coach Hue Jackson applauded his players’ initiative.  “That is great,” he said. “I would think that just knowing our organization, obviously, we love our country, we love our flag, we love the police department and what they do for us. They have done so much for us here, and I think that is super that we are coming together and working together for the right cause and looking forward to watching that happen on Sunday.”

Hopefully, this isn't simply symbolism over substance.  Until criminal officers who murder innocent unarmed civilians are held legally accountable in the system of justice, nothing will change.  Nothing at all.  Furthermore, this issue has nothing to do with love of country, Flag, or lack of support for police who do their jobs lawfully, constitutionally, non-abusively, professionally, etc..  Rather, it has to do with criminal, abusive officers who shake down, abuse, criminally assault and murder innocent unarmed civilians.

"There was some backlash, however, as patrolmen’s association president Steve Loomis said members of his union would not hold the U.S. flag at Cleveland’s home opener. The Browns have traditionally unfurled a large flag held by police and others.  Loomis on Friday said he has accepted the Browns‘ invitation to participate in Sunday’s show of unity and will detail 20 officers to take part. He was encouraged by the players’ meeting with Williams “where tough issues were respectfully discussed and viewpoints exchanged.”  “Once again Cleveland has risen above the fray and has demonstrated that respectful communication is the key to solving any problem,” Loomis said. “We can always accomplish much more good by standing, communicating and working together than we ever will by standing apart.”

Again, this may be nothing more than achingly meaningless window dressing.  Sparked more by concern for impact to franchise bottom line than any real change in corrupt, abusive, inept, murderous behavior perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastards in blue.  We'll see.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, including a Hall of Fame coach.  The Washington Times reports:

"NFL Hall of Famer Mike Ditka has a name for the pro-football players who choose to protest the national anthem: “malcontents.”  The former Chicago Bears coach, who has spoken out against the protests in the past, told TMZ that’s we’re currently living in a “different generation” where some people “think a lot of things don’t apply to them.”  “You can’t stop everybody. There’s always going to be some malcontents,” he said. “So let them be malcontents, let them do their thing. They’ll move on. Nobody will think about it, nobody will remember who they were.  “They have a right to do that, they have a right to do anything they want to do. I just disagree with it,” he added."

Coach Ditka brings back not-so-fond memories of the late, not-so-great, disgraced former sidekick to President Nixon, Vice President Spiro Agnew.  ... Who like his fuhrer, was forced to resign in disgrace.  Unlike his unprosecuted fuhrer pardoned by  his successor Gerald Ford,  Agnew was a goddamned convicted criminal who as a condition of his criminal plea bargain was forced to resign in disgrace.  ... Who before his forced resignation, shamelessly, hypocritically excoriated the young who protested the Vietnam War.  Had it not been for these young people some fifty years ago, we still would have been fighting in that goddamned hell hole.  -- To line the pockets of the war profiteering corporate management suite.

Finally, some justice.  Sadly, no criminal prosecution.  CBS News reports:

"A white officer who fatally shot a black man in the back during a traffic stop will be fired, Philadelphia's police commissioner said Thursday."

Why wasn't he arrested, charged, and tried for murder?

"Commissioner Richard Ross said Officer Ryan Pownall has been suspended and will lose his job next month because the 12-year police veteran used poor judgment when he fired on 30-year-old David Jones on June 8, CBS Philadelphia reports."

Worse than 'poor judgment.'

"As a leader, it's always difficult to take someone's livelihood," Ross said. "In this case, there were serious policy violations committed on video. I saw it, the shooting investigators saw it. That's where it starts and stops."

What about the needless death of a man who should never have been murdered by one of your gutless thugs, Commissioner?

"Surveillance video shows Jones running away as he's shot. He was stopped for riding a dirt bike on city streets and police say he reached for a weapon during a scuffle."

Did he?

"According to CBS Philadelphia, police said a struggle ensued as Pownall felt a gun in Jones' waistband, then Jones reportedly resisted and started running."

Is that how it went down?  Or, did the officer lie to cover his sorry ass?

"Ross said Pownall's first attempt to shoot at Jones was justified under department policy, because it happened right after the struggle with a weapon."

Did it?  Or, are you protecting the son of a bitch from criminal prosecution?

"Pownall's gun jammed, and as he fixed it, Jones dropped his gun and fled. He was at least 10 feet away and had his back turned to Pownall when he was shot, Ross said."

Wake up, Commissioner. That's called murder.  Had it not been a cop pulling the trigger, his sorry ass would have been immediately arrested, charged, and prosecuted.

"Because Jones never looked back at Pownall and had nothing in his hands, he posed no imminent threat to Pownall," Ross said, though acknowledging the officer believed Jones was still armed. "Jones also used poor judgment as well when he carried a gun illegally, rode a motorcycle that is illegal to operate on a city street and refused to comply with Pownall's orders."

Sounds like you're excusing a murder perpetrated by the criminal jackbooted bastard in blue, blaming the victim for the crime.  Achingly, gutless, Commissioner.  Then again, expected in the goddamned de facto fascist police-state we now live in, soon to be the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.

Readers will recall this case was previously reported here and elsewhere.  Things never seem to change.  Hear the rumble?  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  ... As the doomsday clock strikes ever closer to midnight.

"The shooting led to protests, including a Black Lives Matter protest outside Pownall's home, and activists calling for Pownall's firing and arrest."

No arrest.  No criminal accountability for a murderous, criminal jackbooted bastard in blue.  The son of a bitch is protected and coddled.

"What is our city coming to? We're allowing officers that are supposed to protect us, hurt us," said Doretha Crosby, the victim's mother. "[It's been] a living nightmare. I wake up every morning missing my child. I can't get him back. He was a good young man. All he tried to do was get his life right. He worked, just bought a house, just got married."

Doesn't matter in a fascist police-state.  Not at all.

"We want the officer charged with murder and we want him convicted and thrown in jail. What you're seeing is a cold-blooded murder and a man who should never have been on the force ever and someone who should've been fired the first time he shot a black man in the back," added Asa Khalif of Black Lives Matter."

You read that right.  Indeed, the second time this jackbooted piece of shit gutlessly shot someone in the back.  Equally pointedly?  Not only minorities are being murdered by these evil bastards.

"The city's police union president John McNesby came under fire for labeling the protesters outside the officer's home a "pack of rabid animals" in remarks last week at a rally in support of police officers."

What is Mr. McNesby trying to do?  Spark an unwanted dreaded revolution?

"Mayor Jim Kenney said this week the heated rhetoric doesn't help.  "Referring to black people as animals has a long, painful history in this country. Fighting divisive words with divisive words gets us nowhere," he told Philadelphia Magazine.  McNesby responded that he never referred to black people in his remarks, and had no idea if protesters were black, white or Asian."

Sounds like a disingenuous, lying, criminal jackbooted bastard in blue, doesn't he?  His "divisive" words don't mean squat.  It's the fact the jackbooted bastard is justifying a murder committed by a police officer that's of significance.

Coup de grace?  Get this:

"This was not the first time Pownall has shot a civilian. In 2010, he shot a man who was also running away at the time, according to the police department. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Pownall and other officers fired at Carnell Williams-Carney, who ran from police after being stopped with an illegal gun. Williams-Carney was struck in the back by a bullet that Pownall later said he fired.  Williams-Carney was paralyzed from his injuries. Pownall and the other officers remained on the job. In a federal civil suit filed by Williams-Carney, a jury ruled in 2013 that the officers were justified in opening fire."

No justice.  Certainly, not in a goddamned fascist police-state, soon to be the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.  A raucous, boot clicking, goose stepping, treasonous, treacherous, traitorous Sieg Heil!, Mr. 'President?'  Mr. Attorney General?

The following is precisely why drug addiction is a health issue that cannot be solved or ameliorated through law enforcement.  Sadly, in fact, quite the opposite.   Yuki  Noguchi reports on NPR:

"I meet Roger and Katiena Johnson on their front lawn, strewn with kids' toys — evidence they've been thrust back into parenting their two grandkids. Their 26-year-old daughter, Destini, went to jail on drug charges — but they describe her as a once hard-working teenager who previously had a job at the same company as her father."

Think jail and the criminal justice system solved the problem?  Are a solution?

"She's worked with me twice, when she was 16 years old and going to school," says Roger Johnson. "So, I mean, once this drug gets hold of you, it brings you down."

Called addiction.  Becomes lord and master.

Think it doesn't affect and involve the entire family?

"Katiena Johnson says she missed work days driving Destini to rehab and doctors, and that dealing with opioid addiction interrupted her own plans."

How many parents, grandparents, other family members aren't similarly dealing with this ongoing crisis?

"Once you raise your kids, you want to be able to retire or something," she says. "We weren't able to; we went ahead and took on our grandkids," she says, before being interrupted by someone yelling, "Hey," in front of the house.  It's Destini Johnson, released unexpectedly early because, she tells her parents, the jail was overcrowded. Her mother, who works the overnight shift at a local children's home, wears an expression that is both happy and worried because Destini wasn't given a shot to control her opioid cravings. And once again, Katiena Johnson is rethinking her work schedule."

Her daughter comes first. Yet, these parents wisely know better than to enable her:

"Kind of makes me want to stay home tonight, just to make sure she doesn't use," she says, adding that she'll lean on other family members if necessary.  Destini Johnson surveys the doghouse where she slept when her parents evicted her for using in the house. She points to the side entrance of her parents' home, which is blocked by bags of her old clothes and other items she used to drag around when she was strung out and homeless."

This is the price of addiction.  Although jail was a wake up call, law enforcement can't ultimately solve this problem.  Only the addict can, -- with treatment and follow up:

"She says sobriety in jail made her realize she wants a good job, but that in the past, addiction meant she was also hooked on making the quick buck.  "I'd rather go and trick," she says, looking at me. "I don't know if you know what that is, but you know, have sex for money to get my drugs, because it was a lot faster and easier," she explains. "You have to wait a whole week for a paycheck — no addict wants to wait that long to get their drugs."

If we, as society, don't change our approach to this scourge, this problem will never be solved.  Addiction bends not to reason, stigma, or punishment.  Only treatment and follow up.

"Katiena Johnson urges her daughter to take it slowly — to focus on recovery before worrying about applying for jobs. Rejection, she worries, might make her resort to using once again."

To say nothing of the craving, physical illness that comes with withdrawal.  What webs we weave.

At the same time, should people who desperately need pain killers be denied simply due to the risk of addiction?  Consider the following.  NPR reports:

"The U.S. is in the midst of an opioid crisis. Millions of Americans are addicted to the powerful prescription painkillers, and tens of thousands are dying each year from overdoses.  A new report out Thursday offers a bit of hope: Doctors are prescribing opioids less often, and the average dose they're giving patients has dropped, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."

At expense of pain management?  Fear of loss of medical license?  Due to jackbooted enforcement of drug laws?  Interference in doctor-client relationships?  Does government supposedly know better than medical personnel?

"However, the number of patients getting opioids is still too high, and doctors are giving their patients prescriptions that last longer, according to the report in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report."

Who the hell are they to make that judgment?  Interfere in doctor-client relationships?  No more than expansion of the nazi nanny-state.  To say nothing of the failed Republican War On Drugs going on for the last nearly half-century beginning during the reign of the criminal Nixon nazi.

"The bottom line is that too many [people] are still getting too much for too long," says Anne Schuchat, the CDC's acting director. "And that is driving our problem with drug overdoses and drug overdose deaths in the country."

Is it?  Or, is it failure of government and its corporate masters in the pharmaceutical industry to develop non-addictive, non-opioid pain medications?  Due to bottomless greed.  That's not to minimize the scourge of addiction to opioids.  Just to suggest our approach to this problem needs to be thoroughly re-examined, then changed.

In follow up to the last edition, NBC News reports:

"Police and emergency workers filed suit on Thursday against French chemicals company Arkema SA, claiming they were injured after it failed to take adequate steps to avoid a fire at its Crosby, Texas, plant after Hurricane Harvey.  Seven police, fire and emergency medical technicians sued Arkema in Harris County District Court for at least $1 million, alleging negligence by the company and executives led flammable organic peroxides stored at the site to ignite after the plant lost power during the storm."

Indeed, time to hold the corporate management suite accountable for its failure to be adequately prepared for such natural disasters:

"The seven emergency workers claim they received "serious bodily injuries" after breathing smoke released by the fire while manning an evacuation perimeter a mile and a half from the plant. The chemicals are used in the manufacture of plastics."

The following ongoing debacle indeed has its roots in the egregious failure of law enforcement to properly do its job.  NPR reports:

"The Department of Education will change its approach to campus sexual misconduct and begin a public notice and comment process to issue new regulations, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos announced today. In a speech at George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School, DeVos decried "a system run amok," "kangaroo courts" and repeatedly emphasized the plight of the accused. "One rape is one too many ... one person denied due process is one too many," she said. Outside, protesters yelled, "Stop protecting rapists!"

If law enforcement properly investigated and treated sexual assault victims compassionately, none of the above would be an issue.  Instead, officers across this country have a history of not believing sexual assault victims, questioning their credibility, not following through with analysis of rape kits, etc..

"Title IX, a federal law passed in 1972, prohibits sex discrimination in education. It has been best known for driving the expansion of girls' and women's sports.  The Office of Civil Rights, or OCR, under President Obama took the position that Title IX protects girls and women from the threat of sexual assault, harassment or a hostile environment while pursuing their educations.  In letters and official guidance, OCR told colleges and K-12 schools to investigate complaints more aggressively. Some of the consequences have been controversial across the political spectrum.  They were told to adopt a "preponderance of the evidence" standard, a lower burden of proof than is typically required in a court of law.  And, OCR stepped up its own investigations of campuses over Title IX complaints. If colleges didn't comply, they stood to lose access to federal student aid, which almost no school can afford to do."

Apparently, Obama imposed this since law enforcement was failing to properly do its job.  Sexual assault investigation and prosecution should remain the province of law enforcement, prosecutors, and the judiciary.  Not the schools.  Precisely, for the reasons cited in the above quote.

While DeVos indeed has a point, she's egregiously, gutlessly failed to stand up.  Place blame where it truly belongs.  On police, prosecutors, and the courts.  Won't do so likely due to the fact she's a member of an administration that is desperately trying to transform the goddamned fascist police-state we already live in to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.

Here is the take of The Washington Times:

"Education Secretary Betsy DeVos announced Thursday an initiative to overhaul the Obama administration’s campus sexual-assault guidelines, accusing the “shameful” system of failing both the accused and accuser by creating what have been decried as “kangaroo courts.”

Sadly, there is great truth to that.  Also, to the fact sexual assault victims are being denied justice.  A double-edged sword.

"She said she would issue a public notice aimed at reforming the regulatory framework created by the department’s Office for Civil Rights in its 2011 Title IX guidance, which compelled universities to take a harder line on campus sexual assault or face a federal civil rights investigation."

At the same time, she concertedly ignores the failure of law enforcement, prosecutors, and the courts to do their job.

“This unraveling of justice is shameful, it is wholly un-American, and it is anathema to the system of self-governance to which our Founders pledged their lives over 240 years ago,” Ms. DeVos said in a speech at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School. “There must be a better way forward.”

There is.  Hold the feet of law enforcement proverbially to the fire.  Hold the failed justice system accountable for that failure.  Instead of gutlessly ignoring that failure.  Nor courageously, publicly criticizing the Trump nazi, and his sidekick, the AG Sessions nazi for that failure.

"She said the Obama administration “weaponized the Office for Civil Rights to work against schools and against students,” producing a system in which “unelected and unaccountable political appointees” have ruled from their desks by sending letters to universities.  “The era of ‘rule by letter’ is over,” she said. “Through intimidation and coercion, the failed system has clearly pushed schools to overreach.”

That's no more than hyperbolic, egregiously partisan bullshit promulgated by a shamelessly national socialist Education Secretary who remains achingly, determinedly clueless.

The Washington Post reports:

"DeVos spoke to about 100 invited guests at George Mason University, where protesters had gathered outside, worried that she would announce changes to the way sexual violence cases are handled on campuses across the country.  “One rape is one too many,” DeVos said firmly, and “not one more survivor will be silenced. We will not abandon anyone.” As a mother, she said she has sympathy for parents whose children are victims of sexual misconduct. “I cannot imagine receiving that call.”

DeVos has no credibility.  None.  If truly concerned with sexual assault, she would have held the failed system of justice accountable.  Failed to do so for achingly partisan reasons.  Precisely, why she has no credibility.

"Outside, protesters shouted, “Stop supporting rapists!” and “Shame on you! Not on us!”  Fatima Goss Graves, president and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center  called the speech “a blunt attack on survivors of sexual assault. . . .  It sends a frightening message to all students: your government does not have your back if your rights are violated.”

There's great truth to that, but not for the reasons implied, that is, abrogation of Obama's Title 9 interpretation by the Trump nazi and his henchmen.  Rather, directly due to the ongoing failure of the system of justice in our formerly great country, now exacerbated by the Trump nazi and his AG sidekick, the Sessions nazi.

The following is particularly outrageous.  Especially, coming from an attorney who should indeed know better.  Worse, egregiously counterproductive.  The Washington Times reports:

"A lawyer in Texas who disagrees with the Trump administration’s plan to reform how accusations of of sexual assault are adjudicated on campus said he would “be ok” if Education Secretary Betsy DeVos were sexually assaulted."

Sadly, this lawyer's head figuratively remains securely lodged up his ass.

"Rob Ranco, a partner at the Carlson Law Firm, suggested Mrs. DeVos does not fully grasp how serious of a crime rape is, and that she might come to a different policy conclusion if she did."

DeVos has a severe problem with aching, determined ignorance.  To say nothing of deaf, dumb, and blind partisanship.  Mr. Ranco, yours is severe lack of judgment.

“I’m not wishing for it… but I’d be ok if #BetsyDevos was sexually assaulted,” Mr. Ranco said in a tweet on Friday evening."

As an officer of the court, having sworn to uphold the law and Constitution, how can you possibly make such a statement?

“Perhaps Betsy doesn’t understand how horrible rape is,” Mr. Ranco said in another tweet. “She’s made the world more dangerous for my daughters. I need her to understand.”

That's disingenuous, condescending, patronizing bullshit, worse, misses the point.  The failure of the system of justice is the issue here.  An issue, as an attorney, you're certainly painfully aware of.

“Make the world more dangerous for my daughters — intentionally — and your well being is not my concern,” he continued. “Full stop.”

You've disgraced yourself, sir.  Demonstrated profound ignorance, aggressive stupidity.  Worse?  Haven't a clue.

In follow up, KVUE.com reports:

"KVUE's Jenni Lee has confirmed that Robert Ranco resigned after his tweet from Friday about Betsy DeVos received significant backlash.

Carlson Law Firm released the following statement to KVUE after Ranco's resignation:

For those of you who are wondering why this took so long, let me start by saying that this firm is a family and believe it's up to me to show the same loyalty that I ask of my people. I wasn't going to make a rash decision about a member of this family just to appease people on social media.

That said, I considered the health of everyone in our organization, promised my partners and my employees that we would act according to the values of our firm, and sat down to speak with Mr. Ranco.

In the end, we came to the same two conclusions:

With over 150 employees - 75% or whom are women - anyone in our company advocating or even expressing apathy towards sexual assault is affront to all victims and a line that simply cannot be uncrossed.

This has been an enormous distraction that has taken us away from the mission of our firm, which is to care for and help people.  Understanding and accepting this, Rob is taking full responsibility and choosing to resign.

As a man of faith, believer in forgiveness, and longtime friend, it is my sincere hope that Rob with learn from this experience and go on to have a very successful career."

The Trump nazi continues to get his sorry ass figuratively kicked in court.  Doesn't your heart bleed for the achingly clueless bastard?  NPR reports:

"A federal appeals court ruled Thursday evening that the Trump administration can't ban grandparents and other family members of citizens and legal residents from coming to the U.S. from six mainly Muslim countries.  The Justice Department downplayed the ruling, looking ahead to a higher-ranking court considering the case: "The Supreme Court has stepped in to correct these lower courts before, and we will now return to the Supreme Court to vindicate the Executive Branch's duty to protect the Nation."

This nation is not at risk from properly vetted foreign visitors.  The greatest risk to life, liberty, all civil and constitutional rights and liberties is not from any foreign power, terrorist organization, not even the criminal element.  It is, and remains, all levels and branches of this government and its criminal jackbooted bastards in blue who enforce its will.

The Trump nazi continues to talk out both sides his ass regarding the DACA fiasco.  CBS News reports:

"President Trump on Thursday appeared to reassure beneficiaries of the Deferred Action in Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that they shouldn't worry about their future.  Mr. Trump tweeted that DACA recipients have "nothing to worry about" despite the fact that his administration is phasing out the program and a series of talking points advised them to self-deport.

"For all of those (DACA) that are concerned about your status during the 6 month period, you have nothing to worry about - No action!
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 7, 2017"

This achingly inept, delusional nazi has absolutely no credibility.

"House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-California, told her colleagues at a whip meeting Thursday that she spoke to Mr. Trump in the morning on the phone and "asked him to tweet this to make clear DREAMers won't be subject to deportation" in the six-month window, a Democratic aide said."

Incredible.  Especially, in light of the following:

"A set of White House talking points that circulated around Washington Tuesday about DACA said that current recipients should be prepared to self-deport. The document, shared with CBS News, said that "The Department of Homeland Security urges DACA recipients to use the time remaining on their work authorizations to prepare for and arrange their departure from the United States -- including proactively seeking travel documentation -- or apply for other immigration benefits for which they may be eligible."

In follow up to the last edition and continuing GOP cluelessness regarding DACA, carefully consider the following.  CBS News reports:

"Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas applauded the Trump administration's move toward ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, but warned if Congress were to award legal status to young immigrants, it would have "negative consequences."  "If we're going to give legal status to these young people in their 20's and 30's, who are here through no fault of their own, we have to recognize that's going to have negative consequences," Cotton said on "CBS This Morning" on Wednesday."

Is that right?  What negative consequences?  Enlighten us almighty nazi:

"Cotton said that if Congress crafts new legislation that would allow for the so-called "Dreamers" to be granted legal status, it would "open up a whole new category of people who could get legal status, namely their parents who violated the law by bringing them here, and it's going to encourage other people to bring their children here across the border in the future, which is a very dangerous thing to do."

Does this asshole similarly believe our forebears who arrived in this continent centuries ago, then stole this land from Native Americans, should have similarly been so advised?

"You can't dispute just as a logical matter if we give legal status that it's going to encourage more immigration," Cotton, who added, "we should have an open, common sense discussion about that."

Jesus Christ, Senator.  Remove your head from your ass, fool.  Clearly, 'can fix ignorant, can't fix stupid.'  -- How does one effectively confront nazism in an achingly narrow minded myopic jackass who has no ability to see beyond the tip of his nose?

Gets worse.  Far worse.  CNN reports:

"Iowa Republican Rep. Steve King, an immigration hardliner, said Wednesday that Congress does not have to do anything to protect young immigrants who came to the country illegally as children. Instead, King said they can "live in the shadows."  "They continue to live the objective that they sought to achieve when they illegally entered America," King told reporters. "Live in the shadows."

This goddamned jackass is ferociously reminded the median age of these kids when they were brought into this country by their parents is reportedly six.  Equally pointedly, ferociously, is this this goddamned asshole's definition of Christian charity?

"King's comments came after the Trump administration announced Tuesday that it would end the Obama-era program known as DACA, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, in six months. The delayed deadline is meant to give Congress time to find a legislative solution to protect DACA recipients from deportation, but some, like King, say that the group shouldn't expect Congress to act.  In an interview with CNN, King said that forcing young immigrants to live in the shadows was "justice."

Justice?  This goddamned Republican nazi wouldn't know justice if it figuratively bit him hard on his appallingly clueless ass.

"Live in the shadows and if you get crossways with the law, then the law requires they be placed in criminal proceedings and go home. I think there's justice there, but we need to provide justice," King said."

How about justice for our long-since departed forebears who arrived in this continent centuries ago, then stole this land from Native Americans?  Where's the goddamned justice for the original inhabitants of this country who continue to be f--ked over by clueless nazi assholes like you, Senator?  Mr. King, you remain unfit to be a United States Senator.  A disgrace.

The Washington Post reports:

"Stephen K. Bannon, President Trump's former chief strategist, lashed out at leaders of the Catholic Church in the United States who condemned the president's recent decision to phase out an Obama-era program that has allowed nearly 800,000 undocumented immigrants who were brought to the country as children to gain temporary legal status.  Bannon, who is Catholic, accused the church of wanting a steady flow of illegal immigrants coming into the country to fill its church pews and make money.  “Unable to really to come to grips with the problems in the Church, they need illegal aliens, they need illegal aliens to fill the churches,” Bannon said in an interview with Charlie Rose that will air on "60 Minutes” on CBS on Sunday. “It's obvious on the face of it.”

To whom, Mr. Bannon?  ... A nazi in the mold of Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini?

"Bannon added: “They have an economic interest. They have an economic interest in unlimited immigration, unlimited illegal immigration.”

What planet do you live on, Mr. Bannon?  You're talking out your psychotic, national socialist, achingly nazi ass, sir.  Remain a congenital liar with no proof of what you falsely claim.  Ferociously pointedly, think the Catholic Church would go broke even if it lost every American Catholic?

Fox News reports:

"Former senior White House adviser Steve Bannon says he is opposed to President Trump’s decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and ask Congress to come up with a solution."

Unlike Bannon, Trump understands he and his fellow Republicans will not be returned to office if there is no legislative solution.

Unsurprisingly, Catholic bishops did not take this shit from the Bannon nazi lying down.  CNN reports:

"Bannon's comments larded insult on top of injury, Catholic leaders said. On Tuesday, Trump announced the end of a program known as DACA that had protected from deportation nearly 800,000 young undocumented immigrants brought to the US as children. Many Catholic bishops strongly opposed the move, calling it "heartless" and "reprehensible"  Their reaction to Bannon's comments was just as unequivocal."

The only way to effectively fight nazism is to quickly confront it rhetorically.

"Catholic bishops, and particularly their American umbrella group, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, like to position themselves above the partisan fray, rarely responding to political jabs. But in this case, they quickly counter-punched."

They had no choice.  The Church remembers quite well its failure to adequately challenge Hitler and Mussolini.

"James Rogers, the USCCB's chief spokesman, called Bannon's comments "preposterous" and accused the conservative agitator of presenting a false choice between compassion and security."

No question, that's true.  A national socialist cannot comprehend this.

"Our pro-immigration stance is based on fidelity to God's word and honors the American dream. For anyone to suggest that it is out of sordid motives of statistics or financial gain is outrageous and insulting."

All these nazi f--kers in the Trump regime remain determinedly detached from reality.

"In an interview on Sirius Radio, Dolan responded in kind. "I don't really care to go into what I think is a preposterous and rather insulting statement that the only reason we bishops care for immigrants is for the economic because we want to fill our churches and get more money."

Coup de grace?  Carefully consider the following:

"But in one regard, Bannon is correct, Dolan said. Immigration is not necessarily a matter of Catholic doctrine. In some ways, it's deeper than that. It comes from the Bible and Jesus himself.  "And the Bible is so clear, so clear, that to treat the immigrant with dignity and respect, to make sure that society is just in its treatment of the immigrant is Biblical mandate," Dolan said.  "It's clear in the Old Testament -- my Jewish neighbors remind me of that all the time -- and it's clear from the lips of Jesus when he said, 'Whatever you do to the least of my brothers you do to me. When I was a stranger -- meaning an immigrant or a refugee -- you welcomed me.'"

Indeed.  The Nazi Right can't, won't be confused with the truth.

The Washington Times reports:

"The woman who created the 2012 deportation amnesty for Dreamers filed a lawsuit Friday protesting the Trump administration’s move to phase out the program, saying the decision was done on President Trump’s executive “whim.”  Janet Napolitano, who created the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program as President Obama’s homeland security secretary, is now the president of the University of California and is leading the school system’s lawsuit demanding the program be reinstated."

Good luck.  Not likely to happen.

"She said her school system stands to lose money and the chance to educate some of its 4,000 illegal immigrant students, as well as perhaps having to let go its illegal immigrant staff.  “We really support our DACA students and part of the reason we’re filing this lawsuit it to help protect their rights,” Ms. Napolitano said.  She created the DACA program by memo in 2012, issuing guidance to immigration agencies to have them create an application process that has allowed hundreds of thousands of young adult illegal immigrants to be granted a stay of deportation, work permits, access to some taxpayer benefits and a deeper place in U.S. society."

Not to be under the Trump nazi and his henchmen.

"Ms. Napolitano also defended her decision not to go through the rule-making process for DACA in 2012, saying she had only intended to set up a case-by-case processing of applications. She said in canceling the entire program categorically, Mr. Trump’s decision is bigger, and so it needed to go through the rules process.  That’s likely to be a tricky sell to judges. The courts that struck down the DAPA program cited the lack of rule-making as one of the reasons DAPA was illegal. And they used DACA’s operations as a model for ruling DAPA illegal."

We'll certainly see.  A far more likely outcome is congressional Republicans come to their senses, pass legislation providing a long-term solution.  ... In enlightened self-interest.  Forget?  Prime directive of all politicians, both parties, is to be returned to office.

The Pope has also had his say.  The Washington Post reports:

"Weighing in on two areas of disagreement with a U.S. president with whom he has already clashed, Pope Francis said Monday that climate science is clearly true and that President Trump should allow young immigrants to stay in the United States if he is truly “pro-life.”  “I have heard it said that the president of the United States presents himself as a man who is pro-life, and if he is a good pro-life [man], then he will understand that the family is the cradle of life and that it must be defended as a unit,” Francis said, in response to a question about Trump’s decision to discontinue the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program that allows immigrants brought to the United States as children to live and work or study in the U.S. The pope’s comments were reported by America magazine."

Be interesting to see if Trump responds by Tweet.

CBS News had the following take:

"The Pope voiced his opposition to President Trump's decision to end the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that offered protections to young immigrants.  According to Reuters news service, Pope Francis, who has criticized President Trump's policies in the past, was asked by journalists aboard the papal plane returning from his overseas trip to Colombia about his reaction to the latest policy shift.   "One hopes that is re-thought somewhat," replied the Pontiff.   Francis also tied DACA to the president's claim that he's "pro-life."

Fascinating, isn't it?

"[President Trump] presents himself as a pro-life man," Francis said. "If he is a good pro-lifer, he should understand that the family is the cradle of life and you must defend its unity."  Francis told reporters that it was important for young people to have roots, referring to the program's previous rulings that deferred deportations for those who arrived to the U.S. before the age of sixteen."

The pressure remains enormous on the Trump nazi.

Sen. McCain also remains critical.  The Washington Times reports:

"Sen. John McCain says it would be “unconscionable” to send Dreamers back to their native countries, urging Congress to pass an amnesty program as a part of comprehensive immigration reform.  “It is not conscionable to tell young people who came here as children that they have to go back to a country that they don’t know,” Mr. McCain said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “And, by the way, there’s 900 of these Dreamers that are serving in uniform in the United States military. Now, are we going to go to the young men or women serving in Afghanistan or Iraq today and say, ‘By the way, you’re a Dreamer, get back to fill in the blank.’ We’re not going to do that to these young men and women who are serving in uniform.”

Hopefully, not.  Will be up to you, Senator and your non-nazi Republican colleagues in Congress to rein in the Trump nazi.

"The Arizona Republican said replacing the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program ought to be part of broader immigration package that includes reforming work permits and ramping up border security.  “I think it ought to be done in a comprehensive fashion,” Mr. McCain said. A few years ago, we passed through the Senate with a vote of 68 votes, comprehensive immigration reform, that STEM, science, technology and engineering people, guest workers, a number of other provisions that makes it comprehensive, border security, etc. — we need to do that, and make that part of the Dreamers part.”

There is desperate need for bipartisan cooperation to force desperately-needed change.  Status quo, unsustainable.

Sen. McCain also came out swinging in another Washington Times article regarding the North Korean fiasco:

"Sen. John McCain says the United States must “seriously consider” redeploying nuclear weapons in South Korea due to the threat posed by North Korea and its expanding nuclear capabilities.  “By the way, the Korean defense minister just a few days ago called for nuclear weapons to be redeployed,” Mr. McCain said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “We had them once in South Korea.”  “Do you think the U.S. should do that?” anchor Jake Tapper asked.  “I think it ought to be seriously considered,” Mr. McCain responded.  He said the U.S. should expand its missile defense capabilities in South Korea and Japan.  In other words, make sure that if Kim Jong Un acts in an aggressive fashion, the price will be extinction.”

Hard to believe, if the dictator continues on the path he's chosen, North Korea won't wind up obliterated.

The Senator continues to courageously confront his health issues.  CNN reports:

"Sen. John McCain acknowledged the severity of his cancer prognosis Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union," saying in his first national interview since receiving the diagnosis that it is the latest test in a lifetime of tough fights.  "I'm facing a challenge, but I've faced other challenges," McCain said. "And I'm very confident about getting through this one as well."

The following is exquisitely poignant:

"Although McCain said he hoped to beat the disease and live as long as possible, he seemed to be at peace.  "Every life has to end one way or another," McCain said. Asked how he wanted to be remembered, McCain responded: "He served his country, and not always right -- made a lot of mistakes, made a lot of errors -- but served his country, and I hope we could add, honorably."

ABC News reports:

"A conservative Kansas legislator says he would give money to North Korea before he'd support Kansas Public Radio."

This jackass is no conservative, rather, a clueless Republican national socialist.

"The Lawrence Journal-World reported that Republican Rep. J.R. Claeys of Salina expressed disdain for public radio Wednesday in a tweet responding to a fundraising tweet by KPR Statehouse reporter Stephen Koranda.  Claeys tweeted that he'd sooner give to "DPRK News" because its propaganda is "under duress." DRPK is the acronym for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, or North Korea."

Sounds like a GOP traitor, doesn't it?

"Asked about the tweet, Claeys questioned in a message why anyone would be surprised that a Republican would balk at funding what he called a "democratic radio station."

This determinedly ignorant son of a bitch has clearly not listened to NPR.  NPR remains in the center politically.  As opposed to Fox on the Right, CNN on the Left.  Moreover, NPR broadcasts hours and hours of BBC programming.

As opposed to newscasting in our formerly great country, the BBC asks pointed questions of everyone  it interviews from Left to Right.  Across the entire political spectrum.   Ferociously pointed questions.  Compared to American broadcasters who generally ask fluff.

Epitome of profound ignorance, aching aggressive stupidity, worse, raging insanity?

"As for North Korea, Claeys retweeted a message suggesting that the U.S. has no reason not to launch a nuclear strike on that nation."

Finally, some desperately needed bipartisanship.  NBC News reports:

"President Donald Trump signed a $15 billion disaster relief package into law Friday afternoon, just hours after it passed the House with a broad bipartisan majority.  With the cleanup efforts from Hurricane Harvey running out of money and Hurricane Irma bearing down on Florida, Congress acted quickly, taking only three days to move the measure through both legislative bodies. But the bill, which includes a deal struck between the president and Democratic leaders to include short-term extensions of overall government funding and the nation's debt ceiling, saw sizable defections among Republicans in both chambers."

Indeed, that's true.  Trump's GOP cronies are certainly not happy campers:

"One day after the Senate passed it with 17 GOP defections, 90 Republicans voted against it in the House, including four from storm-ravaged Texas.  The updated version of the bill includes $7.4 billion for direct assistance for victims of Hurricane Harvey; $450 million for the Small Business Administration to help small businesses get back on their feet; and an additional $7.4 billion in community development block grants for all disasters this year. The added money could be used for Hurricane Irma or other natural disasters this year. It also extends the flood insurance program until December."

Think Trump won't pay the piper come December when the shit again hits the fan?

"Ninety House Republicans voted against the measure, despite a pre-vote sales pitch from Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney. But Republicans opposed to lifting the debt ceiling, especially for only three months, forcing them to vote on it twice before the end of the year, expressed their disappointment in that meeting."

Bet they did.  Think Trump won't pay the price?

Need a laugh?  Get this:

"Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., stood up during the closed-door meeting, according to a source in the room, and asked how many openings Mulvaney had at OMB because he had 42 of his old colleagues in the House Freedom Caucus to remind him of his fiscal principles. The room laughed while Mulvaney turned red, one member said."

... Just the beginning.

Think the following won't give Republicans a severe case of acid reflux?  The Washington Post reports:

"President Trump and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) have agreed to pursue a deal that would permanently remove the requirement that Congress repeatedly raise the debt ceiling, three people familiar with the decision said.  Trump and Schumer discussed the idea Wednesday during an Oval Office meeting. The two, along with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D–Calif.), agreed to work together over the next several months to try to finalize a plan, which would need to be approved by Congress.  One of the people familiar described it as a “gentlemen’s agreement.”

Think Trump's a 'gentleman?'

Think Trump's new-found bipartisanship has a snowball's chance?  Consider the following.  ABC News reports:

"President Donald Trump made an overt pitch for Democrats to support his tax overhaul plan, singling out a North Dakota Democratic senator whose vote would be prized by the White House."

Did he ever.  LOL.

"Delivering an outdoor speech to a crowd of hundreds at an oil refinery Wednesday, Trump called for the state's governor and congressional delegation to join him on stage, including Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, the only statewide elected Democrat in heavily Republican North Dakota.  "Everybody's saying: What's she doing up here?" Trump said of the first-term senator, adding: "I hope we'll have your support" and calling her "a good woman."

Think Trump a charmer?  ... Or, a charlatan.

"Heitkamp, up for re-election next year, flew in with Trump aboard Air Force One as he sought to frame the tax overhaul as a "once-in-a-generation" opportunity to cut taxes and simplify the tax code."

Amazing, isn't it?  Think it'll go anywhere?  Apparently, not if the GOP congressional leadership has anything to say about it:

"But while Trump's White House is talking hopefully about bipartisanship, GOP leaders in Congress have made clear they're pursuing a go-it-alone strategy on taxes that has shut Democrats out of the negotiations."

What webs we weave.

Trump continues to deliberately irritate congressional Republicans.  Concertedly fails to understand how the legislative process works.  ABC News reports:

"President Donald Trump is criticizing Republican lawmakers amid a rapprochement with Democrats.  On Twitter Friday, Trump referenced the GOP's failure to pass health care legislation. He tweeted, "Republicans, sorry, but I've been hearing about Repeal & Replace for 7 years, didn't happen!"  Trump complained about the filibuster rule requiring 60 votes to pass major legislation. He tweeted that the rule will "never allow the Republicans to pass even great legislation. 8 Dems control - will rarely get 60 (vs. 51) votes. It is a Repub Death Wish!"

Think so?  ... Or, more of the same.  Here's the kicker:

"The comment ignores the fact that Senate Republicans trying to pass the health care bill were working under rules that required a simple majority, not 60 votes."

Trump certainly continues to have problems in the Senate.  CBS News reports:

"The Senate Appropriations Committee tore into the Trump administration's approach to foreign policy in a new report, criticizing the White House's proposed State Department budget as reflective of an "apparent doctrine of retreat" abroad.   The unusually harsh language appeared in the report attached to spending legislation for the State Department and foreign operations that totals $51 billion, about $11 billion more in funding than the administration had requested. The Trump administration had proposed a budget that slashed State Department spending for fiscal year 2018 by about 30 percent from the previous year."

Sen. Graham is certainly not a happy camper:

"Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, chairman of the State and Foreign Operations subcommittee, submitted the report. The spending bill was approved by the full Appropriations Committee 31-0 on Friday. Graham's report suggested the administration's budget request flies in the face of the president's stated goals of American greatness."

Ouch.

"On May 23, 2017, President Donald Trump submitted to the Congress the fiscal year 2018 budget of the United States government entitled, 'A New Foundation for American Greatness,' and asserted in 'The Budget Message of the President' that '[i]n these dangerous times, our increased attention to public safety and national security sends a clear message to the world -- a message of American strength and resolve,'" the report said. "This message is not reflected in the International Affairs budget request of $40,521,826,000, a 30 percent cut below the fiscal year 2017 enacted level."

The following is indeed poignant, achingly true:

"The lessons learned since September 11, 2001, include the reality that defense alone does not provide for American strength and resolve abroad," the report continued. "Battlefield technology and firepower cannot replace diplomacy and development. The administration's apparent doctrine of retreat, which also includes distancing the United States from collective and multilateral dispute resolution frameworks, serves only to weaken America's standing in the world."

Not only that, dangerous, short-sighted.

The RNC is certainly not a happy camper.  LOL.  Consider the following.  CBS News reports:

"A new Republican National Committee ad for President Trump assails Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi as "career politicians" who are "trying to stop him," a day after Mr. Trump snubbed his own party to cut a deal with those same Democrats on the debt ceiling."

The day after.  LOL.

"The ad, "Finish the Job," released Thursday, shows "career politicians" including Schumer and Pelosi, saying Democratic leaders and the media are trying to stop the president. "But President Trump is fighting for America," the ad says, touting jobs numbers, a crackdown on MS-13 and other administration priorities. Yet only a day earlier, Mr. Trump undercut Republicans, who wanted an 18-month debt limit hike, making a deal instead with Schumer and Pelosi to extend the debt limit for three months."

As sad as it is, have to laugh at the folly, continuing dysfunction in Congress.

Adding to the list of states suing the Trump nazi, California recently filed suit.  CBS News reports:

"California has filed a lawsuit against the administration of President Donald Trump over its decision to end a program that protects young immigrants brought to the United States illegally as children from deportation.  Democratic Attorney General Xavier Becerra's lawsuit filed Monday makes similar legal arguments to a suit filed last week by 15 states and the District of Columbia. He's joined in his separate suit by attorney generals from Maryland, Maine and Minnesota.  The California lawsuit alleges the Trump Administration violated the Constitution and other laws when it rescinded the program."

Hopefully, state after state will continue to do the same.

The 'President's' henchmen are not happy campers.  CBS News reports:

"White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is firing back at Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Illinois, for an explosive statement he released shortly after President Trump's roll-back of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program was laid out.   "General Kelly is a hypocrite who is a disgrace to the uniform he used to wear. He has no honor and should be drummed out of the White House along with the white supremacists and those enabling the President's actions by 'just following orders,'" said Gutierrez in a statement on Tuesday."

Indeed.  No shit.  About time someone in Congress had the balls to call it like it is, instead of all the lame bullshit coming from both parties.

"In an email sent to Fox News on Sunday, Kelly responded directly to those claims, saying Congress has the "luxury" of doing nothing.  "As far as the congressman and other irresponsible members of congress are concerned, they have the luxury of saying what they want as they do nothing and have almost no responsibility," Kelly wrote in the email.  He added, "During my time at DHS - from 20 Jan until this moment - I have met with hundreds of members on both sides of the hill … My [message] always was 'I have bought you time to do something on DACA.'  I begged and pleaded with them. They did exactly nothing."

Hey, General?  Wake up.  It's your own goddamned party, populated with Republican nazis who've chosen to do nothing.  For years.  Phony bullshit to imply Democrats are responsible for the stonewalling.  While Democrats are indeed responsible for their share of all the ongoing bullshit, this is not something they're responsible for.  Just the GOP.

"As Kelly noted that Gutierrez had a "right to his opinion," he maintained that the blame should not lay on Mr. Trump's shoulders, but instead on the unconstitutionality of the policy, which was implemented by former President Obama in 2012."

More goddamned irrelevant bullshit promulgated by the General to cover the failure of his fuhrer, the Trump nazi.  Hey, General?  What about all the goddamned unconstitutional immigration executive orders shot down on a continuous basis by the judiciary?  No problem with that, Mr. Kelly?  None at all?  When your fuhrer does it, no problem?  When a Democrat does it, a different story?  Your hypocrisy?  Stunning.  Unbecoming a retired military officer.

The General seems to have gotten lost in the weeds.  Seems to have conveniently forgotten these are 800,000 of our best and brightest, highly productive young people who have made something of themselves.  Were brought here at a reportedly median age of six by their parents.  Know no other country than this one.  Yet, the Trump nazi and his henchmen wish to ultimately deport them.  Continue to urge them to self-deport.

Dreamers provided their personal information to our hopelessly nazi government, assured by the former commander in chief that information would not be used against them.  To deport them.  Now, your goddamned nazi fuhrer wishes to do precisely that?  Should no legislation pass your nazi Republican majority in both houses of Congress?  No more than a disgrace.  Precisely, what you need to concern yourself with, not your phony bruised ego.

Fox News reports:

"House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy is calling on Illinois Democratic Rep. Luis Gutierrez to apologize for saying White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, a retired Marine general, is “a disgrace to the uniform.”

Apologize for what?  The truth?  An uncomfortable truth the Nazi Right continues to conveniently, gutlessly ignore?

“What is disgraceful is to attack the character of such an honorable man, who has dedicated his life to serving this country and whose family gave the ultimate sacrifice. I believe Rep. Gutierrez owes General Kelly and his family an apology,” McCarthy told reporters Wednesday."

He owes the General nothing.  Any honor the General had after retirement was forfeited when he went to work for the Trump nazi.

"McCarthy noted how Kelly, whose son was killed in Afghanistan in 2010, is the highest-ranking servicemember to lose a child in Afghanistan or Iraq."

That's true.  Achingly irrelevant, however, to his current employment for the Trump nazi.   Especially galling as the goddamned de facto fascist police-state we now live in is transformed to the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.

“General Kelly has served his country in the Marines,” McCarthy said."

He did.  No question.  Irrelevant, however, to his service now for the Trump nazi, and Trump's determined effort to transform the fascist police-state we already live in to the Fourth Reich.

“He is serving his country again in this administration."

The hell he is.  He's serving a nazi fuhrer.

"He is truly an American patriot.”

No longer.  Has disgraced himself, the uniform he proudly wore.

"But Gutierrez isn’t backing down."

Nor should he.  About time someone had the cajones to stand up to this nazi bullshit.

"He doubled down on his attack at a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute event on Tuesday."

Uncommon valorEspecially, in a fascist police-state soon to be the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.

“He’s a politician, okay, not a general,” Gutierrez said, according to the Washington Post. “I don’t see a uniform. He’s a politician who works for Donald Trump.”

Goddamned right.  For a delusional narcissistic nazi fuhrer.

More evidence the Trump nazi and his Attorney General sidekick, the Sessions nazi will not enforce all civil and constitutional rights and liberties.  NBC News reports:

"Federal officials decided not to punish United Airlines for dragging a passenger off an overcrowded plane.  The Transportation Department said it had found no evidence that the airline violated David Dao's civil rights in the now-infamous April 9 incident in Chicago. There was also not enough evidence that the airline had violated rules regarding bumping passengers, the department said."

A crock of shit.  Unadulterated bullshit.

"A lawyer for the department told United about the decision in a May 12 letter but didn't make the matter public. An advocacy group, Flyers Rights, released the letter on Wednesday after obtaining it through an open-records request."

Why wasn't this information publicly released without someone having to obtain it through an open records request?  Why were they hiding this information?  Sitting on it?  Afraid of public reaction?

"Paul Hudson, the president of Flyers Rights, criticized the decision and questioned how the Transportation Department could conduct an investigation so quickly. He called the manhandling of the 69-year-old Dao "egregious in every sense of the word."

Yet, these bought and paid for government bastards on the taxpayer tit do nothing about this atrocity?  Ferociously pointedly, could United have paid them off? To finally make it all go away?

"In the two-page letter to United, the Transportation Department's assistant general counsel, Blane Workie, said the agency takes action when an airline repeatedly or egregiously violates consumer-protection laws. She said United fixed one mistake in calculating compensation for another passenger, and failed to give Dao and his wife a required written notice of their rights only because they had left the airport to seek medical help.  "Therefore, we conclude that enforcement action is not warranted in this matter," Workie concluded."

Outrageous Catch-22.  Unadulterated blatant bullshit.  Were they bribed?

"She said the agency found no evidence that United discriminated against Dao, who is Asian-American, on the basis of race.  United avoided a lawsuit by reaching a settlement with Dao a few weeks after the incident. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed."

Think the fix wasn't in?  Don't think so?   -- Some oceanfront in Arizona and a bridge in Brooklyn you might be interested in.

Think corporations don't run and own it all?  Wake up:

"The CEO of United Continental Holdings Inc., Oscar Munoz, apologized for initially defending the airline's handling of the incident and blaming Dao, who lost teeth and suffered a broken nose and a concussion.  The airline apologized for the incident again Wednesday and said it has made changes to reduce overbooking.  "This incident should never have happened, and we are implementing all of the improvements we announced in April," spokeswoman Megan McCarthy said in a statement. "While we still have work to do, we have made meaningful strides" and have reduced the bumping of passengers nearly 90 percent since May 1, compared with the same period last year."

Ever wonder why airlines are allowed to overbook by their bought and paid for government lackeys in the first place?  No clue?

Fallout continues from Hurricane Harvey.  NPR reports:

"The Sosa family's has become a typical story in the days since Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc on Texas's Gulf Coast region. Houston is home to some 600,000 immigrants without legal status — 1 in 10 Houstonians does not possess the right to live in the U.S. — and in the storm's aftermath, many of them now find themselves teetering on the edge of destitution.  Unlike other victims of the storm, immigrants in the U.S. illegally do not qualify for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The exception are those, like Roxana Sosa, who are allowed to submit an application in the name of a U.S.-born child. Even so, advocates say, many who qualify have not done so out of fear that asking for help might alert immigration authorities to their presence and ultimately lead to deportation.  "We're afraid," Sosa said, standing in the gutted living room that has been overcome by the odor of dampness and mold. "That's why we don't declare our losses. We haven't even gone to the management office here at the apartment complex."

Think this won't wind up to be a humanitarian crisis of epic proportions?

An achingly gutless public, willing to put up with the intolerable, always gets what it truly deserves.  NPR reports:

"Equifax, an international credit reporting agency, has announced that a cybersecurity breach exposed the personal information of 143 million U.S. consumers. In a statement released Thursday, the Atlanta-based agency acknowledged that "criminals exploited a U.S. website application vulnerability to gain access to certain files."  Those files include data such as Social Security numbers, birthdates and addresses — and, Equifax adds, "in some instances, driver's license numbers."

Why do you compliantly provide these bastards this information?  Why do you stupidly subject yourselves to this ongoing bullshit?  Where is your rugged individualism so disingenuously, falsely championed by Republicans?

"For a span of roughly two months — from mid-May through July 29, when Equifax says it uncovered the breach — hackers had access to this information, as well as the credit card numbers of about 209,000 consumers and "certain dispute documents with personal identifying information" of about 182,000.  All told, the number of American consumers affected constitutes about 44 percent of the U.S. population.  Equifax did not explain why more than two months passed before it discovered the hack, which also affected an unspecified number of consumers from Canada and the U.K."

NPR reports:

"Three executives of the credit-reporting agency Equifax sold nearly $2 million worth of company stock within days of a massive data breach potentially affecting 143 million Americans — one that wasn't publicly disclosed until more than a month later."

When will the hopelessly corrupt bastards in the corporate management suite be criminally prosecuted for their crimes instead of being protected, coddled by their bought and paid for government lackeys?

"In a statement, Equifax says the executives "had no knowledge that an intrusion had occurred at the time they sold their shares."

Not credible.  If, in fact, they had no knowledge, are egregiously unfit for the jobs they hold.

"Equifax revealed the security breach late Thursday. On Friday, its stock price went sliding by double digits as millions of Americans struggled to get answers from the company about whether they were affected and what to do next. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has opened an investigation into the hack."

Not good enough.  Same old goddamned bullshit.  Nothing ever changes.  Designedly.  Why would it?  The bastards in government, at all levels and branches, remain bought and paid for.

"The credit reporting company has said that it discovered "unauthorized access" to its systems on July 29. The intrusion potentially jeopardized sensitive details including names, birthdates, Social Security and driver's license numbers. The hackers also stole credit card numbers for 209,000 consumers."

The gutless citizenry is the problem.  Put up with this bullshit to get a loan, credit card, an apartment?  Get what you richly deserve.  Why ever agree to share this information with these unprincipled, outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept pieces of shit?  Where's your self-reliance, rugged individualism supposedly championed by Republican Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged nazis?

"Regulatory filings show the three Equifax executives — Chief Financial Officer John Gamble, U.S. Information Solutions President Joseph Loughran and Workforce Solutions President Rodolfo Ploder — completed stock sales on Aug. 1 and 2.  Bloomberg, which first located the filings, reports that "none of the filings lists the transactions as being part of 10b5-1 scheduled trading plans."

Put up with this shit?  Fail to courageously stand up?  Remain part of the ongoing problem.

Initial response from Equifax was appalling:

"In order to learn whether a specific user's information is breached, the website asks people to type in a name and the last six digits of a Social Security number — "the kind of information they're often warned not to reveal online," as Bloomberg notes.  Once users get through, the website doesn't automatically enroll them in TrustedID credit monitoring — instead, the site issues a date, about a week in the future, when the user would have to return to complete the enrollment.  Equifax also drew fire for the several restrictive clauses it included in the legal terms that applied to its customer-help website and the free credit-monitoring service.  Users and experts had started pointing out that the company was imposing a so-called arbitration clause on the users, which essentially restricted their right to sue the company or be part of a class action in the future."

Think the following credible?  Get this:

"After pressure from consumer advocates and New York's attorney general, Equifax on Friday afternoon added a new line to its FAQ section: "The arbitration clause and class action wavier included in the TrustedID Premier Terms of Use applies to the free credit file monitoring and identity theft protection products, and not the cybersecurity incident."  On its face, this line might suggest that Equifax would not restrict people's ability to hold the company legally accountable for potential damages specifically from the data breach.  "But when rubber meets the road," Rheingold says, "we'll see."

F--k these assholes.  Stand up.  Refuse to hand over personal information they don't need, won't protect.  Forget?  They get theirs, you get f--ked.  The American Way.

This breach may be far worse than these assholes are owning up to.  Wake up. The Washington Post reports:

"But before people can sign up and find out whether their personal information was compromised, consumers are prompted to enter their last name and the last six digits of their Social Security number.  “This is very unusual — most security systems are hard-wired only to reveal the last four digits of an SSN for identification purposes,” said Satya Gupta, co-founder & chief technology officer at Virsec Systems, a cybersecurity firm. “This strongly implies that the typical four digits may have been compromised, and they need additional, previously ‘secret’ information to positively identify customers. This reinforces the conundrum of these breaches — with more information exposed, how do you now prove a person’s identity?”  Equifax did not immediately respond to queries about why its website asks for such information."

Wake up.  You're being f--ked.  Sold a bill of goods.

Some are smartening up:

"On Twitter, many expressed their exasperation with Equifax's approach. Others took a sarcastic route.

"I can't believe that @Equifax has the audacity to ask for 2/3rds of your SSN and your last name to verify if you're part of the data breach

    — Anita Knapp (@GayRobot_) September 7, 2017

"If you're worried about your personal data being breached due to Equifax hacking, then send me your name & social security # so I can check

    — Sam Z Comedy (@SamZComedy) September 7, 2017"

No excuse.  Gets worse:

“Right now, the wound is raw,” said Jeff Kagan, a Georgia-based telecommunications industry analyst. “For Equifax to pour more salt on that wound today by asking to put your information on another website that they promise will be secure doesn’t make sense. Why Equifax doesn’t understand this before it put up this website raises another question — it’s a big, embarrassing mistake.”  Several people who took the leap and submitted their information to Equifax said on Twitter and elsewhere that after signing up, Equifax did not disclose whether their personal data was impacted by the massive breach. Instead they received an enrollment date for the credit monitoring program."

You're being shamelessly bamboozled.  F--ked.

"Equifax also said that the credit card numbers of about 209,000 U.S. consumers, and credit dispute documents of roughly 182,000 U.S. consumers, were also accessed by hackers. The company will be mailing out notices to those individuals, but it will not be contacting everyone who was affected in the data breach."

Time for these criminal pieces of shit in the corporate management suite to be aggressively prosecuted, convicted, do serious prison time.  ... And not in a 'country club' for white collar criminals.

CBS News reports:

"Equifax revealed Thursday that hackers earlier this year stole personal information on as many as 143 million Americans.  The company keeps track of the credit ratings of American consumers, which means its database is a massive treasure trove of personal information including birth dates, Social Security numbers and addresses.  "This is basically the Irma of data breaches. It's a 10 on a scale of one to 10," said cybersecurity analyst Avivah Litan.  For the hackers it's like finding a gold mine.  "They can take out a mortgage, they can file tax refunds, they can file for Social Security benefits, you name it. They can take all your benefits away," Litan said.  She says consumers "need to be hyper vigilant and monitor their accounts."

The bastards at Equifax need to be aggressively prosecuted.

CBS News reports in another post:

"When a company tries to fix a security breach, it's never a good sign when consumers feel less secure because of its remedies."

This corporation and the others couldn't care less.

"That's the fix Equifax (EFX) finds itself in after bungling its response to its massive breach, which is fueling consumer outrage and calls for greater regulation over credit-reporting agencies, which include Experian (EXPGY) and TransUnion (TRU). Four days after Equifax said 143 million Americans had been affected by the breach, many consumers remain confused about whether their data was stolen and how to protect themselves."

This company continues to stonewall.

"A site created by Equifax where consumers can check whether their data was stolen asks them to enter their last names and the last 6 digits of their Social Security numbers. But the site provides responses even for bogus names and numbers (such as "Trump" and "123456"), leading to questions about its accuracy."

Still think you should provide these bastards your personal information?  Trust them?

"Consumer advocates pointed out that Equifax's terms of use for the credit-monitoring service it's offering free for one year required the breach victims to sign away their legal rights. On Monday, the company said it had backed away from that requirement."

Did it?  Truly, do so?

"Some consumers said Equifax needs to take more steps to make amends, such as offering free credit monitoring services for several years or longer, not just one year. The hackers stole Social Security numbers, which have no expiration date."

What consumers need to do is stop providing these assholes personal information they don't need, won't protect.  Just handsomely profit from.

"You need to take more action," one consumer wrote on Twitter to Equifax. "Free credit freezes for those affected. Lifetime credit monitoring. Reimbursement for all other freezes."

Keep dreaming.  Smarten up.  Refuse to cooperate.  Learn to become self-sufficient.

It's all about looting the public it certainly does not serve, only the corporate management suite:

"Security experts are recommending consumers whose data was stolen place credit freezes on their accounts. That restricts access to your credit information, which makes it more difficult for hackers to open accounts in your name.  But credit freezes aren't free: They typically cost between $5 to $10 each. It's important to place freezes at the major credit-reporting bureaus in order to halt scammers, which means consumers may need to shell out up to $30 for the service.  "Will we be reimbursed for having to pay for credit freezes?" one consumer wrote to Equifax on Twitter "I did 4 over the weekend, I do not think that I should have to pay for it!"

You shouldn't.  Wake up.  Smell the coffee.  Stop complying en masse.  F--k these assholes.

"Adding to the frustration was the news that three Equifax senior executives, including its chief financial officer, sold $1.8 million worth of company stock just days after the company discovered the breach but weeks before it was made public.  That stock sale, plus the company's response that has been roundly criticized as inadequate and questions about why Equifax delayed informing the public about the breach for several weeks are creating a perfect storm of controversy. Chief among the questions lawmakers and consumer regulators are raising is whether the credit-reporting bureaus are subject to enough oversight."

They need to be put out of business.  Serve only themselves and their corporate masters.  Not the public.  Quite the opposite.

"The bureaus store sensitive financial data on about 200 million Americans, which the companies provide to banks and other financial institutions that need to check into consumers' creditworthiness. Employers, landlords and utilities also use the bureaus' data to check up on consumers."

It's an abusive invasion of privacy.  Used to discriminate.  None of the business of an employer, landlord, utility, etc.., -- anyone other than a money lender.  Any utility, landlord, etc., can and does charge a deposit.  Outrageous abuse of authority unbecoming a democratic republic.  The people are gutless sheep.  Will put up with nearly anything.

"While their services are essential to the U.S. economy, the credit-reporting bureaus don't have the same regulatory oversight as the financial industry."

"Essential" only to the corporate management suite.  What oversight?  Do as they please.  With impunity.  While the public continues to get royally f--ked.

"Before Equifax announced the breach, some lawmakers last week were considering whether to lower penalties for credit-reporting bureaus whose inaccurate information hurts consumers, according to The Wall Street Journal.  Equifax's initial offer for free credit-monitoring services required consumers to agree to mandatory arbitration, a tactic that's a favorite of the financial industry because consumers give up their rights to join class actions. Arbitration is slated to be barred in the financial industry next year by the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, but Republicans have sought to reverse that ruling."

Nazi Republicans remain at the heart of the problem.  Their pockets are being lined.  Their corporate masters always come first.  Not that Democrats are any better, but the GOP is indeed leading the charge to f--k consumers.

The Trump nazi and his henchmen continue to take a raucous hard dump on the LGBTQ community.  Carefully consider ramifications of the following.  CNN reports:

"The Trump administration is backing a Colorado baker who refused to create a cake for the wedding of a same-sex couple.  The case -- one of the most important to be heard this term -- pits advocates for religious liberty against supporters of LGBT rights."

Sadly, disingenuously, that's a poor assessment of what's at stake.  Don't think so? Wake up.  What it does is attempt to legalize discrimination against the LGBTQ community.  The question must always be asked, who's next?

"In a friend-of-the-court brief filed with the Supreme Court, the Justice Department urged the court to side with Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips, who says making a cake for a same-sex couple violates his religious liberty."

The hell it does.  He's free to believe what he wishes, worship where he chooses.  He's not free, however, to force his perverse religious views on others by discriminating against them.

"Forcing Phillips to create expression for and participate in a ceremony that violates his sincerely held religious beliefs invades his First Amendment rights," Acting Solicitor General Jeff Wall wrote for the Justice Department."

How?  Would this shyster bastard similarly defend a racist who claimed the same in refusing to serve someone of color?

"The government may not enact content-based laws commanding a speaker to engage in protected expression: An artist cannot be forced to paint, a musician cannot be forced to play, and a poet cannot be forced to write," the brief adds."

An egregious, achingly disingenuous non-sequitur.  Providing a public service is not the same as artistic expression.  Apples and oranges.

"It's not unusual for the federal government to file an amicus brief in such an important constitutional case," said Steve Vladeck, CNN Supreme Court analyst and professor at the University of Texas School of Law.  "What makes this brief unusual is its substance. It's practically unheard of for the Justice Department to argue in favor of a constitutional exemption to antidiscrimination laws -- a constitutional right to discriminate. But that's exactly what this brief is doing," Vladeck said."

What it also does is open the door to creation of a theocracy in direct violation of the The First Amendment Establishment Clause.

"The ACLU, which is representing the couple, responded with a statement blasting the administration.  "This Justice Department has already made its hostility to the rights of LGBT people and so many others crystal clear," said Louise Melling, ACLU's deputy legal director. "But this brief was shocking, even for this administration. What the Trump Administration is advocating for is nothing short of a constitutional right to discriminate."

Who's next?

NPR reports:

"The Justice Department has already made its hostility to the rights of LGBT people and so many others crystal clear," said Louise Melling, deputy legal director at the American Civil Liberties Union. "But this brief was shocking, even for this administration. What the Trump administration is advocating for is nothing short of a constitutional right to discriminate."

That's precisely what it does.

"Sharon McGowan is a former official in the Obama Justice Department's civil rights division. Now, she works on strategy issues at Lambda Legal, a group that advocates for the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.  "The brief filed yesterday is just the latest example of how Donald Trump, Mike Pence and Jeff Sessions have placed a target on the backs of LGBT people in order to score political points with a shrinking base of supporters, and, for Pence and Sessions in particular, to impose their religious views on the rest of the country," McGowan said."

The mark of a nazi dictator and his henchmen.

NBC News reports:

"For the second time in less than three months, the Department of Justice (DOJ) has submitted an amicus brief that puts it at odds with supporters of LGBTQ civil rights. This time, the department's brief was submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.  Masterpiece Cakeshop, Ltd. v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission involves Christian baker Jack Phillips, who refused — due to his religious beliefs — to make a wedding cake for same-sex couple David Mullins and Charlie Craig.  Lower courts sided with the couple, stating that Philips' refusal violated Colorado’s non-discrimination law (Colorado is one of 21 states that prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation). However, Phillips appealed these rulings to the Supreme Court, which is scheduled to hear the case this fall."

Sadly, should never have gotten that far.  A portend, however, of far worse to come as the Trump nazi transforms the de facto fascist police-state we already live in to the Fourth Reich.  Indeed, the worst is yet to come.

"Last month, the DOJ submitted another amicus brief in the case of Zarda v. Altitude Express. There, the DOJ sided with the defendant to argue that Title VII of the Civil Rights Act does not entitle lesbians, gays and bisexuals to workplace non-discrimination protections.  Some advocates are calling the DOJ’s position on Masterpiece Cakeshop, Ltd. v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission a “license to discriminate” and citing a pattern of anti-LGBTQ actions by the Trump administration."

Precisely, that.  Again, raises the question, who's next?

"Once again, the Trump-Pence Administration has taken direct aim at our nation’s progress on LGBTQ equality, this time urging the Supreme Court to grant a potentially sweeping license to discriminate against same-sex couples," Sarah Warbelow, legal director for LGBTQ advocacy organization Human Rights Campaign, said in a statement."

When any segment of the population is deliberately denied civil and constitutional rights and liberties, the rest of us are placed in jeopardy.  Again, who's next?

"Louise Melling, deputy legal director of the American Civil Liberties Union, who is representing Mullins and Craig, agreed.  “This Justice Department has already made its hostility to the rights of LGBT people and so many others crystal clear," Melling said. "But this brief was shocking, even for this administration. What the Trump Administration is advocating for is nothing short of a constitutional right to discriminate."  Melling added, however, that she and her team are "confident that the Supreme Court will rule on the side of equal rights just as the lower courts have."

Wouldn't count on it.  Especially, in light of the recent edition of the Gorsuch nazi to the court.  Then again, hope the court carefully considers the dire ramifications should it rule in favor of the Trump nazi:

"According to Anthony Kreis, a law professor specializing in LGBTQ rights, the DOJ's brief argues “the right to free expression trumps the right to equal access in this particular public accommodation.” This, he explained, is what makes the submission particularly troublesome.  “The thrust of the argument is that cakes — wedding cakes — are inherently expressive items,” he said. “Because they are so inextricably linked to the expressive rights of the baker as an artist, there is a First Amendment right to decline service.”  “It’s tempting to fall for this as a very narrow, minor exception to the general rule ... but it doesn’t make sense," Kreis added. He said the idea that cakes are somehow special is not supported by any general principle. So by this logic, he noted, “a vendor could claim anything is expressive it they wanted to.”  Therein lies the problem for LGBTQ advocates, Kreis continued: The DOJ’s position “opens up a hole in anti-discrimination law with no foreseeable end in sight."

The revolution doomsday clock indeed strikes ever closer to midnight, -- as our formerly great country continues to nazify.  An unwanted dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming.  While there are some who believe the government would win due to overwhelming military superiority and weapons systems, it would be a mistake to underestimate the determination of a well-armed citizenry who would never accept the imposition of nazism in this country.  The war would be extremely bloody, costly, long-term, and employ guerilla tactics to level the playing field.  Precisely, why this issue must be resolved before too late.  Well before the point of no return.

Cowardly fail to financially and/or materially support those fighting for all civil and constitutional rights and liberties?  Get what you truly deserve.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.  CBS/AP reports:

"Former pharmaceuticals company CEO Martin Shkreli has had his bail revoked and is going to jail in New York while he awaits sentencing for a securities fraud conviction.  A judge heard arguments about whether the provocative online antics of Shkreli, dubbed the Pharma Bro, were bad enough to put him behind bars and decided to have him taken into custody immediately."

For damned good reason.

"A defense attorney had argued in court papers that Shkreli's recent offer to pay a $5,000 bounty for securing a Hillary Clinton hair with a follicle while she's on a book tour was merely a tasteless joke comparable to some of President Donald Trump's derisive comments, not a threat worthy of putting him behind bars."

Think not?

"The attorney was responding to government filings last week that argued Shkreli's behavior was threatening enough to jail him while he awaits sentencing for his securities fraud conviction. Prosecutors said the posting prompted the Secret Service to use more resources because it ran the risk that many of Shkreli's social media followers would think he was serious."

This piece of crap is no choir boy:

"Shkreli, who is best known for hiking up the price of a life-saving drug and for trolling his critics on social media, was found guilty last month on charges, unrelated to the price-fixing scandal, that he cheated investors in two failed hedge funds he ran. The defense had argued that investors got their original investments back and even made hefty profits."

No remorse:

"Shkreli has said he feels "exonerated" despite his conviction and thinks there's a "50-50 chance" he won't face any punishment. He chatted with fans on his YouTube channel and sparred with a reporter after last month's verdict.  "In sum and substance," he said, "I feel exonerated."

The following email has been sent nearly daily to a woman at 2freehosting.com who was responsible for caving into Wells Fargo.  This email is re-edited occasionally as circumstances change.  Should you bank with Wells Fargo you may wish to ask them why they engage in deceptive trade practices and if in fact they indeed bribed Texas Gov. Greg Abbott while he was Texas Attorney General to ignore a complaint filed against them:

Fran,

All three Liberty In Peril FTP servers are down and apparently have been
hacked.  The three websites, however, remain up and running at time of
writing.  That is, libertyinperil.twomini.com, libertyinperil.wink.ws, and
libertyinperil.t15.org are accessible and running.  Only FTP access has
been effected making it impossible to upload.

The Filezilla messaging on twomini is:

Status:        Connecting to 31.170.167.137:21...
Status:        Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection
refused by server".
Error:        Could not connect to server

The exact same messaging, other than IP addresses, is the same on the wink
and t15 FTP servers. This hacking attack apparently occurred the day
after Wells Fargo closed two accounts because I publicly accused them of
criminal activity.  Your company needs to look into this matter. Get these
FTP servers up and running again.  A criminal complaint will be filed with
the U.S. Attorney regarding all the ongoing criminal activity by Wells
Fargo, now extended to hacking and undue interference with the webhosts.
Has 2freehosting been bribed and/or pressured by Wells Fargo?  Certainly,
one of numerous questions to be forwarded to criminal prosecutors.

Welcome.   Liberty In Peril has been relaunched at a new URL:
libertyinperil.com.  This is a new commercial site hosted in an overseas
country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers.  Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible.  -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle.  No more bullsh-t.  Criminal complaints will be
prepared and filed against Amanda Wright, Lynn Massey, and the equally
criminal bastards in the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for
egregious deceptive trade practices.

Email notification of local businesses of these practices, has and will,
continue unabated until Wells Fargo accepts responsibility, ceases these
practices, and finally makes it right.  During the last several weeks
after the ftp servers were hacked, a blizzard of these emails was sent to
local businesses to keep intense pressure on the criminal bastards at
Wells Fargo.  Copies of these emails were sent to bank officials.  They
have been posted in this publication. ... We're already up to Salvo 74, --
and counting.

In addition, all new Newsletter Editions will feature an
available abbreviated version, smart phone friendly, that can be accessed
by clicking on the icon. Will supplement the regular format of this
publication.  This is being done because so many of you access this
publication with smart phones and other devices with small screens.

This site has finally been fully uploaded.  All links appear to be
properly working.  Typos in the rush to get material up have also been
corrected.  There will be a few additional changes to be made as time
allows.  Including, again, a smart phone-friendly abbreviated version of
each future Newsletter Edition starting with v434 that will be available
in addition to the regular edition.

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this
publication, that is exposure of corrupt, abusive, inept, clueless
government lackeys beholden to their corporate masters, rather than
dealing with recalcitrant webhosts.  We'll see.  With the
libertyinperil.com domain, however, any necessary changes in webhosts will
be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated.  Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well.  Forget?  The bank
is considered too big to fail.  Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true.  They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked.  What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support.  Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however.  Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it.  Certainly, have the
resources.  Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved.  Hard to believe they would be that stupid.  The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys.  The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further
exposure in this publication. Should you have information regarding this
or any other issue, contact me.  I will protect your identity.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard.  Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.  ... Governor?  Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Linda, Manager, K&P Motorsports, Marble Falls, TX.   A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted to branch manager.  Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking on Wells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 171, 9-15-17.

The name of this publication was changed some ten years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards.  Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result?  Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned.  Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor.  Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastardsknow who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility.  Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.

JP2 Linda Ballard Recording

Click herefor a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.'  The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request.   During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire.  Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint.  All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.

Publication of this material, however, should in no way be interpreted as endorsement of Ballard's opponent, Steve Lange, in the upcoming runoff.  It is not.  It is provided as a public service to expose the 'judge' for exactly whom and what she is.
