Whenever a cop does something heroic, and/or of exceptional benefit to the community, it leads. Always. CBS News reports:

"A police officer is being hailed as a hero for helping rescue a 38-year-old Illinois man whose vehicle plunged into a lake Thursday morning, CBS Chicago reports. Dashcam video captured the moment Round Lake Park Police Officer Christopher Valle arrives and sees a van submerged in the water. “Once I arrived I took all my gear off. I knew I needed to go inside that car,” he told the station. Without hesitating, Valle jumped into the water and swam to help the driver."

Has to be one of the most satisfying aspects of policing. Saving a life. Especially when doing so under survival conditions at great risk to the officer's life.

“The water was by his chest -- you could only see his face,” the officer said. “I was able to keep his head up and put it on headrest in order for him to keep breathing. He was a little bit dazed. He was conscious.”

Hat's off, Officer Valle. Great job. Uncommon valor. -- Must be remembered the water at this time of the year up there is cold. Extremely cold.

"Minutes later, members of the Round Lake Fire Protection district arrived at the scene. “Our water rescue team entered the water in exposure suits,” Deputy Chief Joe Krueger said. “It was critical because the vehicle was filling up with water and sinking at the same time.”

The above makes the action of Officer Valle even more impressive. Certainly, the best in policing.

"It turns out, the driver had a medical emergency while his vehicle was parked in a lot. The vehicle slowly moved down a boat ramp and made it into the water. The 38-year-old was pulled out of the water to safety."

Indeed, the conditions at the scene make this officer's action particularly courageous, an example of uncommon valor:

“I tell you what: It took a lot of guts to jump in the water,” Krueger said of the officer. “You don’t think about it sometimes,” said Valle, who’s only been on the job for one year. “You go in right away and do the best you can because you know that person needs your help.”

Think dogs and cats are the only animals capable of alerting and saving human life? KAIT Jonesboro, AR reports:

"When a Weiner 10-year-old got a goat as an early birthday present, she didn’t know she was getting a lifesaver. In fact, some would say the timing of the goat’s arrival was perfect. “We got the goat Thursday,” said Nick Bruce, Abigail’s father. “I personally, did not like it. I didn’t want anything to do with the goat, but after this weekend, I guess he came right on time.”

He did. Had it not been for the goat, the family likely would have perished:

Now, Nick thinks differently of Speedy. “We are good now,” said Nick. “He is not going anywhere!”

"More than anything, Nick said he is very appreciative of the Weiner Fire Department. “They were great,” said Nick. “They got there immediately and assisted my family until the end. They even continued to call and check on us so I am very appreciative of them.”

"A heartbroken mother has shared an emotional Facebook post addressed to her son Nolan, two months after he died of cancer. This kid at 4 continued to place the needs of his mother first, before his own:

His mother went to take a shower. When she came out of the bathroom was confronted by the following:

“When I opened the bathroom door, his Team was surrounding his bed and every head turned and looked at me with tears in their eyes. They said ‘Ruth, he’s in a deep sleep. He can’t feel anything’. His respirations were extremely laboured, his right lung had collapsed and his oxygen dropped. “I ran and jumped into bed with him and put my hand on the right side of his face. Then a miracle that I will never forget happened.... “My angel took a breath, opened his eyes, smiled at me and said ‘I Love You Mommy’, turned his head towards me and at 11:54pm Sgt. Rollin Nolan Scully passed away as I was singing ‘You are My Sunshine’ in his ear.”

The point of all this is simple. Achingly, simple. Our priorities desperately need reexamination. At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves, money is not spent where it truly needs to be spent. On improving the human condition. Curing diseases that should have long since been cured. Worse, the Trump nazi falsely claims the U.S. military is depleted, needs to be rebuilt. Abject bullshit. An insane lie. Our military is, and remains, the most powerful on earth. We spend on defense as much as the next seven countries combined. Yet, the Trump nazi wants more. Intends to cut domestic programs to pay for it. To line the pockets of his war profiteer corporate buddies.

-- At a time when this country is now divided more than at any other time in history. We now live in what has become in effect a fascist police-state. Soon to be the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich. Hear the rumble? An unwanted dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon. Yet, the Trump nazi, his henchmen remain oblivious. So does half the nation.

Meanwhile, the homeless remain homeless, the hungry, -- hungry, the sick and dying needlessly suffering as the mother and son in the above story. We've lost ourselves. The route we're on is not sustainable. The greatest threat to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is no foreign power, no terrorist organization, not even the criminal element. The Trump nazi remains incapable of telling the truth. On April 8, 2017, an announcement was made that an aircraft carrier task force was on its way to the Korean Peninsula. Seems this wasn't true. The Washington Post reports:

The insanity of GOP nazis is well-illustrated by Texas Sen. Ted "Screws Loose" Cruz. The Washington Times reports:

The North Korean dictator made it clear he will launch a pre-emptive nuclear attack if threatened. Again, Senator, what the hell are you talking about?

What this goddamned nazi and others in the GOP are calling for in reality is a return to the days of U.S. imperialism, -- to line the pockets of GOP war profiteers in the corporate management suite. That's not going to happen. Won't be tolerated here at home.

That's when Jack Semple, a race official, jumped off the press bus and ran after her. Wake up, Sheriff. Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office? Fifty-two weeks, now. A goddamned disgrace. Why are you still sitting on this information? What are you hiding, Sheriff? What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise? Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons? Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history? An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse. How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Fifty-two weeks. Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger. To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff? Those of your thugs? It's time the public be fully informed. -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County. Did you know the Texas Attorney General does not have the authority to investigate and prosecute County authorities on his own? "A Georgia police department has launched a criminal investigation in response to a “disturbing” video that allegedly shows the officer kicking a handcuffed man in the head as he lays in the middle of a major roadway during a traffic stop. The Gwinnett County Police Department in Lawrenceville has fired the officer in question, identified as Robert McDonald, who was hired in August 2013.

No probable cause to immediately arrest the criminal jackbooted son of a bitch? Get this:

"We have also launched a criminal investigation that will ultimately be sent to the District Attorney’s Office," the Gwinnett Police Department said in a press release Thursday afternoon. "What happened yesterday was clearly outside of state law and department policy. We do not tolerate actions that are not consistent with our core values or state law."

Then, why the hell didn't you immediately arrest the son of a bitch? You bastards wouldn't have hesitated to arrest a civilian who had done such. Why the goddamned double standard? Why special treatment for a criminal jackbooted bastard in blue?

"The shift commander initiated an “immediate investigation into the incident” after the arrest, the police department said. McDonald was subsequently placed on administrative leave and his department-issued firearm was taken. The police department later said the officer had been terminated from the agency.“The cellphone video is very disturbing and it speaks for itself,” the Gwinnett County Police Department said in a statement Thursday. “The video was very crucial to the investigation and it confirmed that the force used was unnecessary and excessive."

Again, why wasn't the son of a bitch immediately arrested? Nothing in the above ABC article, however, about the other fired son of a bitch, Bongiovanni.

Then, why weren't both men immediately arrested? Why special treatment not afforded the public?

“I’m literally sick about it,” County Police Chief Butch Ayers said at a news conference reported by CBS Atlanta affiliate WGCL-TV. “Literally sick.”

Then, why didn't you personally place both under arrest? Why special treatment not afforded the public? Here is the problem, the ongoing issue, the double standard, precisely why there is no longer any faith or trust in law enforcement:

"The department also has opened criminal investigations into the behavior of the two officers. The results will be turned over to the county district attorney, who will decide whether to prosecute them."

This has to change. Why? Wake up. Almost never do they ultimately decide to prosecute. When they do? Jury gets stacked. No justice.

Another officer then comes running around the corner and delivers a forceful stomp to the face of the man before assisting the other officer in the arrest."

"The two officers are white and the handcuffed man, identified as Demetrius Bryan Hollins, appears to be black, police Cpl. Michele Pihera told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution."

"Two Georgia police officers fired after they were caught on video kicking and punching a man during a traffic stop had arrested the same person eight months earlier during another traffic stop, police records show."

Interesting, isn't it? A pattern of abuse. Records need to be kept by DOJ regarding such patterns of abuse within law enforcement. Otherwise, the public will continue to believe this shit does not go on all over the country. Just as passengers on board the United Flight couldn't believe the criminal assault perpetrated by officers on that aircraft is not ubiquitous across the nation.

"What you're seeing is police administrators across the country who are saying, 'This is not the conduct of every man and woman in our police department. This is the conduct of one or two individuals and we're going to deal with them appropriately,'" he says."

They're not. When there is incontrovertible video evidence of malfeasance, yes, officers should be immediately fired. But that's not good enough. They need to be treated as any other citizen. That is, immediately arrested. They're not.

In fairness to law enforcement, officers are often forced to deal with societal problems they have no ability to fix. The following is an interesting case in point. NPR reports:

"Michael Treadwell sat at the back of a courtroom in New Hampshire. He wore a windbreaker and khaki pants and leaned over his work boots with his elbows on his knees. At first it looked like he was chewing gum — a bold choice in a courtroom. But when he spoke it was clear: He wasn't chewing gum, he was chewing his own gums. Michael doesn't have any teeth. Taxpayers in Hillsborough County, N.H., have spent $63,000 over the last six years keeping Treadwell in jail for little more than trespassing. For years now, his life has looked like this: Trespass in an apartment building, spend 30 days in jail; bother restaurant customers, spend 42 days in jail; panhandle aggressively, spend 30 days in jail."

Never ends. Has to be a pain in the ass not only for Treadwell, but the officers as well. Chicken shit violations. This vicious cycle needs to end. Does not.

"When you live in a town like Nashua, there's not a lot of homelessness there, and it kinda like focuses, puts you in the spotlight," Treadwell says. "Especially if you drink alcohol and stuff."

An alcohol problem demands treatment. Certainly, to solve the problem long-term.

"His charges all come from some combination of being homeless and getting drunk. Still, he says, jail is no worse than the streets."

It isn't. Offenders claim this all the time. At least, get fed in jail. Have some minimal protection against being assaulted. Unlike on the streets. Homelessness, substance abuse remain long-term issues that desperately need resolution. Certainly, far cheaper in the long run to provide care and a way out. Instead of saddling taxpayers with the cost of repeated incarceration. But, We The People, can't seem to think that far ahead. Worse? Simply don't care.

"People kill homeless people, violence and everything else," Treadwell says. "It can be a very dangerous life to live in. I don't suggest jail as an alternative. Ain't no kinda life."

"The bruised and bloodied passenger who was forcibly removed this week from an United Airlines flight lost two front teeth and suffered a broken nose and "significant concussion" in the ordeal, his lawyers said Thursday. Dr. David Dao, who fled war-torn Saigon before immigrating to America in 1975, was released from the hospital Wednesday, but will need reconstructive surgery and remains "shaken" by the experience, attorney Thomas Demetrio told reporters in Chicago."

The lawsuit to come is nothing compared to the damage to public relations suffered by the airline.

" A lawsuit has not been filed yet, but Demetrio says one is coming down the pike. Dao, 69, signaled Wednesday that he's gearing up for a legal fight by filing an emergency "bill of discovery" against the carrier in Illinois State Court in order to preserve evidence in the case, including all surveillance videos and cockpit voice recordings."

"United Airlines CEO Oscar Munoz has apologized for the incident repeatedly and said the company was conducting an internal investigation. But he has drawn public scorn — and calls for a boycott — after initially saying the crew was merely trying to "re-accommodate" Dao and then blamed him for his "disruptive and belligerent" behavior."

The airline reiterated in a statement Thursday that it will no longer allow officers to pull booked and seated passengers from flights and will review how it incentivizes oversold flights. "This horrible situation has provided a harsh learning experience from which we will take immediate, concrete action," United Airlines said."

"Meanwhile, all three officers involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave."

"The incident sparked outrage and protests, including one held at O’Hare Thursday featuring the Rev. Jesse Jackson. The airline’s stock price dropped, and there have been calls for boycotts from as far away as China, where the story has stirred outrage because Dao is Asian. Dao’s daughter said Thursday that her father is a Vietnamese immigrant."

"After initially appearing to place blame on Dao for being “belligerent” and refusing to give up his seat, Munoz appeared on national television Wednesday and said he felt “shame” when he saw the video. When asked if Dao was at fault for the actions that led to his removal from the plane as it sat on the runway Sunday at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, Munoz said, simply: “No, he cannot be. He was a paying passenger sitting in his seat on our aircraft. No one should be treated that way.”

"Munoz, who said there will be a full investigation into the incident, and signaled that there will be changes in the relationship between the airline and local law enforcement officers who are called to handle passenger issues on flights. He said results of the investigation will be released by the end of the month."

"United Airlines pilots want it known that they had nothing to do with the incident in which a passenger was violently dragged off a United Express plane in Chicago. In a statement, the pilots union says that the forcible removal of Dr. David Dao by O’Hare International Airport security officials happened Sunday night on a United Express carrier that is “separately owned and operated by Republic Airline.”

"The union says United pilots were not flying the jet and that the four who were given the seats of Dao and three other passengers who were ordered off the plane work for Republic, not United. They say they are “infuriated” by what happened and blamed the debacle on the “grossly inappropriate” actions of the security officers. “This violent incident should never have happened and was a result of gross excessive force by Chicago Department of Aviation personnel,” the union said."

In follow up to the above, the CEO has announced no one will be fired over the incident. Imagine that. Who'd 'a 'thunk' it?

"A man who was slammed to the ground by a police officer is now telling his side of the story. “I thought I was going to be like the next Trayvon Martin,” 24-year-old Nandi Cain Jr. told CBS Sacramento, referring to the African-American teenager who was shot and killed in Florida in 2012."

"Video shot by Naomi Montaie captured the moment the officer slammed Cain to the ground. Footage from the dashcam in the officer’s police cruiser showed the officer repeatedly punching Cain after tackling him. The officer has since been placed on administrative leave."

Why wasn't the criminal jackbooted son of a bitch immediately arrested? Granted special treatment not accorded the public?

"Cain told CBS Sacramento that he feared for his life during the encounter. He was said he was only walking home from work and did nothing wrong."

Doesn't matter in a fascist police-state. Particularly, if you happen to be of color.

“I thought as soon as they got me on the ground and start, you know, putting my arms in different positions, I felt like they were going to draw a gun out and shoot me in my back,” Cain said."

"Sacramento police released a statement saying the actions of the officer were disturbing, and do not appear to be reasonable based on the circumstances. An investigation into his actions is ongoing. As for Cain, he was cleared of any charges and given a court date for an outstanding warrant in Fresno, California, according to police."

Amazing how slow the wheels of justice seem to move. Had almost forgotten about the following case covered earlier in this publication and elsewhere. NPR reports:

"North Miami police Officer Jonathan Aledda is facing charges of attempted manslaughter and negligence for shooting a behavioral therapist who had been trying to help a patient with autism return to a group home last summer, prosecutors say. The daytime shooting took place last July, when therapist Charles Kinsey was working to bring a 27-year-old man in his care back to the group home for mentally disabled adults. Video from the scene showed Kinsey lying on the ground next to his patient, his hands in the air, shortly before he was shot."

Remember this case? Pitiful, taken this long to charge the criminal son of a bitch. The officer appears to have been protected, coddled. The story is unbelievably convoluted:

"Following the shooting, a police union official said Aledda had fired at Soto out of concern for Kinsey's life — "And he missed, and accidentally struck Mr. Kinsey."

Give me a break. The officer was either poorly trained, stupid, hopelessly ignorant. All three?

"In an interview from his hospital bed, Kinsey said he was handcuffed and was left face down on the ground, bleeding from a wound to his leg, for around 20 minutes."

Certainly, backs up earlier reports of the incident. Kinsey is the therapist, Soto the autistic patient.

"Kinsey said he was surprised to have been shot: "I'm saying, 'Sir, why did you shoot me?' and his words to me, he said, 'I don't know.' "

"In addition to the felony charge of second-degree attempted manslaughter, Aledda faces a misdemeanor charge of culpable negligence over the injuries to Kinsey."

"A North Miami police officer who shot the caretaker of a man with autism last summer has been charged with attempted manslaughter, according to officials. On Wednesday, the Florida State Attorney's Office announced charges for North Miami Police Officer Jonathan Aledda for the July 18, 2016, shooting of behavioral therapist Charles Kinsey, who was unarmed."

"Initial 911 calls described a "possibly suicidal" man with a "silver weapon in his hand," and officers with the North Miami Police Department were dispatched to the scene, according to a press release from the state attorney's office."

"The man described in the call was a resident of the Miami Achievement Center for the Developmentally Disabled, according to the release. After the resident left the center, Kinsey closely followed him in "an attempt to return him from the street back into the facility," the release reads. The man was holding a silver toy tanker truck in his hand, according to the release."

"Aledda fired three shots, one of which struck Kinsey. At 152 feet away, Aledda was "not in the position to correctly assess the situation or in a position to accurately fire," the release states. Two other police officers "were within 20 feet of the situation" when he fired."

Criminal defendants in New Orleans are denied their constitutional right to counsel. CBS News reports:

"Past and current attorneys of the New Orleans Public Defenders Office tell Anderson Cooper they believe innocent clients have gone to jail because they lacked the time and resources to defend them properly. The system is so overburdened that in 2016 New Orleans Chief Public Defender Derwyn Bunton began ordering his staff to refuse to take on clients facing the most serious felonies."

This is what sparks revolutions. Deliberate abrogation of civil and constitutional rights. Further proof we already live in a fascist police-state. Soon to be the Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.

"All nine of the attorneys agreed when asked by Cooper if they believed an innocent client went to jail because they didn’t have enough time to spend on their case."

"When 52 attorneys are responsible for 20,000 criminal cases a year, as in New Orleans, they do their best says Bunton. "At the time, Lindsay Samuel represented nearly a hundred clients facing a life in prison. She felt she was “Always coming up short. The first thousand clients you feel terrible. The second thousand clients, you feel awful,” she recalls. “Every day my clients are going away for a decade and I just move along to the next client,” says Samuel."

"Bunton shows Cooper a warehouse full of the nearly half million cases handled by his office in the past decade. The justice system in New Orleans has become a criminal processing system says Bunton, “A conveyor belt that starts when you are arrested and then there’s hands that touch you on your way to prison,” he tells Cooper. “It’s not about figuring out...your innocence...and that’s what we are fighting to change,” says Bunton."

"Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Tuesday said he’s “surprised” Americans aren’t overwhelmingly embracing his widely reported stance against marijuana, all the while recent polling reveals a majority of voters do in fact support legal pot."

With an annual defense budget well over a half trillion bucks, how is it service members need food assistance? NPR reports:

"Though families cite different reasons for coming, the pantry's popularity points to a real need among service members, says Abby Leibman, president and CEO of MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger, an advocacy group based in Los Angeles."

The military has no issue with spending $1 million for each cruise missile, but cannot afford to pay service members enough to remain off food assistance?

"There's nothing that makes you feel more vulnerable or undermines your ability to live your life [more] than not knowing if you're going to be able to feed your family," says Leibman. Her group tracks food assistance programs, such as pantries, available to military families across the country. She says there are hundreds of pantries on or near most bases or installations that are designed specifically for active-duty military families. She says that's a "serious indicator" of need."

Not the first time this failure has been brought to the attention of the public:

"It's about a system that was designed to support them that is failing in that goal," says Leibman. "We have a military that takes care of its own. Well, here's a place where it's failing, so it needs to course correct."

Our country spends more on defense than the next seven combined. Guess where this money is going?

"In July 2016, the Government Accountability Office concluded that the Department of Defense was not fully collecting or analyzing data on how many service members were in need of food assistance or enrolled in federal programs such as SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (also known as food stamps), and WIC, the program for Women, Infants and Children."

"At the same time, the GAO found troubling signs that some military families were in need. For example, nearly 1 in 4 children at DOD schools are eligible for free meals, a program that's based on income. Also, about 23,000 active-duty service members rely on SNAP benefits, according to the 2013 Census Bureau."

According to interviews, e-mails and text messages from nine current and former SEALs, “...there’s been a corruption within the teams,” one of them wrote. “The death of our quiet professionalism continues to erode at our ethos, and endangers our teammates overseas, not to mention our families at home.”

"One SEAL told CBS News correspondent David Martin that “the community has got to stop seeking the limelight and exposing what they do or it continues to put people in danger.” They accused fellow SEALs of profiteering -- or as they called it -- “selling the Trident,” a reference to the insignia they earn after making it through basic training. Fitness routines based on SEAL training have become a cottage industry as have books by former SEALs."

"These men say movies like “Zero Dark Thirty” and “Captain Phillips” are all too accurate in showing the way SEALs operate. One movie, “Act of Valor,” included active duty SEALs in the cast. “They get all of these, you know, sometimes ex-SEALs or active-duty SEALs to help make sure it looks as realistic as possible in that process, you know,” on SEAL told us. “Unknowingly or knowingly they’re giving away, you know, our tactics and procedures.”

"One SEAL told Martin that he has had to change the way he operates because something has been made public. It all adds up to a betrayal of the SEALs’ own code of conduct. “When I joined the Navy, the brochure said ‘quiet professionals,’ and that’s what I signed up for, but that’s not what it is today,” one SEAL said. “Is fame ruining the SEALs?” Martin asked “I believe that has a lot to do with it,” one SEAL responded."

"A decorated Navy SEAL is under investigation for allegedly moonlighting as a porn actor with his wife. The Naval Special Warfare Command is looking into whether Chief Special Warfare Officer Joseph Schmidt III obtained permission from his commanders for outside work and whether they condoned his acting career, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported Friday. "There are very clear regulations which govern outside employment ... as well as prohibitions on behavior that is discrediting to the service," said Capt. Jason Salata, a SEALs spokesman."

"Schmidt, 42, has been in the military for 23 years, obtaining numerous medals including a citation of valor for combat overseas. He has appeared in recruiting campaigns, even serving as the face of the SEAL program on its website, the Union-Tribune said. However, he has also appeared under the name Jay Voom in a least 29 adult films over seven years, many of which feature his wife, porn star Jewels Jade."

"Schmidt declined to comment to the newspaper, but his wife said many of his fellow SEALs at the Coronado base in Southern California watched the videos online. They knew about it at work," Jade said. "He got called in and they said, 'Look, keep it on the low, don't mention the SEAL name and blah, blah, blah.' " "He was always pretty open about it with the command," she said. "I mean, honestly, all of his buddies knew about it. Everybody knew about it."

There is, moreover, a far more serious consequence to all this. His military career may be over. Doesn't appear the couple was doing this to get their cookies off, however. Or, line their pockets. Here is where the story gets achingly convoluted:

"Jade first appeared in porn films in 2001, but she left the industry by 2003 to become a wife and mother and help run a real estate firm the couple founded in 2005 while Schmidt was assigned to Virginia. The business foundered, and the couple filed for bankruptcy after running up nearly $2 million in debt, the Union-Tribune said."

"As business losses deepened, Jade turned to stripping to make ends meet and then returned to making porn films. "It's helped our family. It got us out of a lot of financial issues we were going through," Jade said. "I could take care of the child. I could try to get us out of financial debt."

"Jade said she has tried to obtain other work. But her fame, with millions of fans worldwide, made it difficult. She sought a management job at a San Diego luxury hotel last year but was recognized before she finished her employment interview. "Once you're recognized and you build a brand and you've got your fans who know who you are, when you go to try to find a job, you can't get another job," she said."

"Schmidt was transferred to Coronado in 2009. Jade said she recruited her husband as an unpaid performer to cut the costs of making films for her website and film-distribution service."

With Schmidt in the military, what could they both been possibly thinking? This likely will end his career:

"The military has taken a dim view of its members engaging in racy pursuits. U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Michelle Manhart, a training instructor, was reprimanded and demoted after she posed nude for Playboy in 2007. The Navy discharged or otherwise disciplined about a dozen servicemen and servicewomen in 1980 for posing in Playboy or Playgirl."

When a service member is in the military, the military literally owns his or her ass. They know this going in. Will likely wind up costing taxpayers dearly if Schmidt is discharged. Forget? Costs quite a bundle to train the best of the best. If he's prematurely discharged, the country doesn't receive full benefit of that training.

New York is indeed putting its money where it's mouth is, -- so to speak. CNN reports:

"Undocumented immigrants in New York who can't afford a lawyer and are facing deportation will soon have access to free legal counsel. The New York governor's office said last week that it is allocating $10 million in its fiscal 2018 budget toward creating a legal defense fund "to ensure all immigrants, regardless of residency status, have access to representation."

"Unlike U.S. citizens, undocumented immigrants don't have the right to free legal counsel."

"Called the Liberty Defense Project, the funding is part of a public-private partnership with the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the Ford Foundation. So far, the non-profit organizations have contributed $1.5 million, making the total funds available $11.5 million."

Certainly, good to see, quite encouraging there are people willing to stand up and fight this scourge. The Trump nazi's Fourth Reich.

In the lawsuit, Bini accused her superiors of running or knowing about the scheme and says she was retaliated against and later fired for refusing to participate. Bini, a former assistant vice president and regional private banker, is seeking her job back and damages."

"A Michigan doctor was charged Thursday with performing female genital mutilation on minors in the first such case that falls under a U.S. law treating the practice as a felony offense, according to the Department of Justice. Dr. Jumana Nagarwala of Northville, Mich., allegedly performed female genital mutilation on girls at a medical office in Livonia, Mich. According to the complaint, some of the victims, who were between the ages of 6 and 8, allegedly crossed state lines to have Nagarwala perform the procedure."

“According to the complaint, despite her oath to care for her patients, Dr. Nagarwala is alleged to have performed horrifying acts of brutality on the most vulnerable victims,” Acting Assistant Attorney General Kenneth Blanco said. “The Department of Justice is committed to stopping female genital mutilation in this country, and will use the full power of the law to ensure that no girls suffer such physical and emotional abuse.”

"The procedure is prevalent in some majority Muslim countries and is sometimes called “cleansing” by its practitioners. It involves the partial or total removal of the external female genitalia, often performed without anesthesia. It is designed to ensure females remain virgins until marriage."

"According to the Department of Justice, this is believed to be the first case brought under 18 U.S.C. 116, which criminalizes female genital mutilation, stating that anyone who knowingly circumcises, excises or infibulates the whole or any part of the female labia or clitoris of a person who is under the age of 18 “shall be fined or imprisoned not more than 5 years – or both.”

country, which unlike our own, does value free speech, Net security,
privacy, equally importantly, despises hackers. Banks too big to fail
should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible. -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle. No more bullsh-t. Criminal complaints will be
prepared and filed against Amanda Wright, Lynn Massey, and the equally

egregious deceptive trade practices.

Hopefully, now, I can finally get back to the business of this
publication, that is exposure of corrupt, abusive, inept, clueless
government lackeys beholden to their corporate masters, rather than
dealing with recalcitrant webhosts. We'll see. With the
libertyinperil.com domain, however, any necessary changes in webhosts will
be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated. Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,
has nothing to lose. Owns its government lackeys. The Sheriff and his
outrageously corrupt and abusive goons, however, can expect further

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere. Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Dave Hudson, Broker, Lake LBJ Partners, Kingsland, TX. A copy of it was also sent to Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright. She has, indeed, been promoted to branch manager. Reverse Darwinism. Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters. The process to update those already informed of this fiasco has finally been completed. This latest material can be found by clicking on Wells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 150, 4-21-17 .

The name of this publication was changed some ten years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril. The reason? Simple. Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade. Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication. Either through advertising or other financial support. Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it? Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however. Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards. Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags. Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up. Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity. On a rampage. Thus, you get what you truly deserve. Always. Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate. -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area. Ten years after originally intending to do so. Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues. Another reason for this publication name change. Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed. Can't be ignored. That's where you come in dear readers. Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up. Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day. These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem. No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked. It's time to stand up. Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight. Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb. From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain. Wake up. Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen. After all, you're bought and paid for. Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters. The corporate management suite. Your employers. Think not? Wake up. You're human chattel. Corporate-owned, bought and paid for. Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly, literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor. Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision. To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day. You have no control of your lives. You're owned. Forget? For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits. At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys. Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit. To line County coffers. Keep the peasants in line and under control. A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril. Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority. Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastardsknow who you are. Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication? Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country. Insult to injury? There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway. No matter the effort. No matter the research. No matter the proof. Wake up. This writer cannot do it alone. Snowball's chance in hell. Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded. Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy. Literally.

Cannot do it alone. Impossible. Not sustainable. This publication needs your financial and material support. Both. Time to step up.

Click herefor a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
