Think, despite living in the country, you're not affected daily by the corporate management suite? Whether working, retired, self-employed, unemployed, etc.? The insurance cartel certainly affects all. Whether it's automotive liability, homeowner's insurance, healthcare, etc.. You remain at their mercy. They do as they please, -- with little to no oversight by government regulators. Forget? Most of their government shills are bought and paid for. At all levels of government.

How often do you shop at a supermarket? Think most are not corporate-owned? Kingsland HEB certainly is. While local staff and management are truly magnificent, they are not free to do as they please. Are controlled by the HEB corporate management suite. Only have so much leeway as to what they can and cannot do.

For years, Kingsland HEB has been cash cow for the corporate management suite. Forget? They have virtually no competition. Very little even with a couple of Dollar Stores in the community. With no competition, however, they do as they please. Have a captive audience. ... How many will make a trip to Marble Falls, Burnet, Austin, etc. to do their food shopping?

Have certainly noticed over the years, prices are indeed more expensive in Kingsland than they are in HEB stores located outside this area. At least, most recently, on non-name brand goods. After all, they've looted the public about as much as they can on more expensive, highly popular items. What next to do? Go after staple goods those on the bottom end of the food chain and middle class are more likely to purchase.

That is, do what you can to loot those on no government assistance of any kind. They've become cash cow as the game has become zero-sum, winner-take-all. After all, there are only so many in the top 1% to loot. ... Right, TL? Tim? Ben? Lou? Forget? No one's tighter than the corpulent wealthy. Particularly, those who disingenuously claim they're not.

Cheaper, that is. More self-centered. Yet, this class can't seem to understand they can't take it with them. -- Ever see a hitch on the back of a hearse? Equally pointedly, these hopelessly greedy bastards have done all they could to decimate the middle class. Stupidly strangled the Golden Goose. Can never get enough.

Unquestionably, the corporate management suite has always believed if profits don't increase year to year, they're losing money. Precisely, why non-name brand goods have skyrocketed in price. Particularly, over the last year or so. They've gotten about all they could out of the rich in the area. The middle class has indeed become an endangered species. Food stamps for the impoverished are no longer as ubiquitous as they once were.

Forget? GOP nazis in a desperate effort to line the pockets of their corporate masters have done all they could to reduce social programs such as food stamps. Despite the fact hunger remains a problem. Don't think so? Wake up. Food banks have a continuous issue maintaining stock. All at a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves. Zero-sum game. Winner-take-all.

During a time of supposedly zero inflation, HEB has certainly jacked up prices on at least some of its goods. Readers are reminded at the beginning of the year there was an 18% increase in the price of Stax Potato Chips. They went from a buck to a $1.18 while remaining priced at a buck at General Dollar. Soon after January 1, the price on a popular brand of ramen soups went from six for a buck to five. An increase remarkably similar to the chips.

There are many other examples beside these two. While the above is based on extremely careful shopping and not through a skillfully constructed scientific study, there is no justification for these price increases. It's called gouging. They do it because they can. Little to no competition locally. They benefit as well from a captive clientele that's usually too busy to shop around. ... Or, buy in quantity monthly outside this area.

Certainly, most shoppers, other than the privileged few, agree there has been quite an increase in prices on staple goods during a time of supposedly no inflation. What is even of far greater concern than all this is the fact the corporate management suite is getting increasingly greedy, -- and 'careless.' In how it does business, not-so-shrewdly covers its ass, then desperately tries to bullshit its way out when caught in the act not delivering on its promises.

They arrogantly believe the public is hopelessly stupid, achingly ignorant, and will put up with virtually anything. Have you noticed that when prices are about to rise on a given product, the scanner often reflects the increase before the price on the shelf changes? Truly believe this unintentional? An aberration? Wake up. It's a way to increase profits corporate wide. Consider the number of stores. How this all adds up. To a lot of undeserved, unearned profit looted through deception.

Decades ago when scanning first came into existence, the price was guarantied. That is, if it scanned incorrectly, overcharged, you received the product free. No longer. In fact, pay cash for the product, get screwed by the scanner? Guess what? The courtesy counter asks to scan your drivers license. Forget? You paid cash. Comply with the request for identification? You're achingly ignorant. Aggressively stupid. Clueless.

This information winds up being used for far, far more than ensuring there is no fraud. First, the corporate management suite cannot protect this extremely valuable personal information from being hacked. Second, likely will wind up sold to other marketers. Third, your personal information is none of their goddamned business. Forget? You paid cash.

While store personnel are not happy when you refuse to comply, they have no choice. They no longer even ask for identification from me. They know better. There are other issues the corporate management suite refuses to deal with in the Kingsland store. Years ago, they could have built a new store at a different location. A much larger location somewhere along 1431.

Local residents could have had a superstore. That is, had a bakery, pharmacy, deli, etc.. Not to be. The corporate management suite knew it already had a cash cow in Kingsland. Why spend additional money to build a superstore when you already enjoy a captive audience you can loot at will? Forget? No competition.

Consequently, no amenities other HEB stores have, to say nothing of inconvenient, narrow aisles loaded with merchandise, -- both inside and outside the store. At rush hour, there are consistently a shortage of check-out employees. Months ago, I asked the check-out manager why he didn't hire sufficient staff. Stunningly, he told me the store couldn't find them.

How can that be? While most of the staff is indeed young and highly competent, hard workers, we have an enormous elderly population in the area. People who would work at least part time if given the chance. The few the store already has work hard. Why hasn't the Chamber mobilized? Contacted the churches, civic organizations, other groups, etc. to do something about this issue?

Again, there is clearly not enough aisle space in the store. At rush hour or before holidays, shoppers have to be extremely careful with carts. Compounding the problem is the motorized carts for the disabled. Solution? Wider aisles, less merchandise in the aisles, no shopping carts filled with merchandise in the aisles the store is trying to liquidate, etc..

Clearly, customer convenience and enjoyment of shopping experience mean less than profits. After all, why bother when you have no competition? Forget? The American Way. Readers, again, should fully understand local store management is not free to do as it pleases. Has to answer to an achingly clueless corporate management suite that has no understanding of what local needs truly are. Worse? Couldn't care less. Years of doing the same old thing, the same old way prove the achingly obvious.

Another problem the store has is just-in-time delivery of staple goods that is often nowhere in time. Notice empty shelves on occasion? Despite daily deliveries? Observe, for example, there are times when there is no Hill Country Fare wheat bread on the shelves? Or, you have to gently squeeze the end of loaf after loaf to find a fresh one? Have you noticed the price on tomatoes is not dropped even when they're soft, have over ripened from sitting there too long?

While all the above is true and remains a pressing issue for this writer and other shoppers I've spoken to, the reason for this article is due to growing deceptive trade practices HEB is now apparently engaging in. While they indeed remain minor in comparison to all the coverage given in this publication to those at Wells Fargo, attention needs to be drawn to this growing issue at HEB.

There is certainly a problem with their advertising. They advertise a sale, then the product may or not be there. Was certainly an issue weeks ago when frozen 1lb. ground turkey went on sale for a buck. Immediately, ran out the first day of the sale. Bait and switch? May be since the same problem happened several times in coming weeks. On the same product. Apparently, they got tired of the complaints. Finally, solved the problem.

Several weeks ago, they ran a sale on Knorr Granulated Bouillon 15.9 oz. Assorted. Buy one you get a couple of other packages of bouillon cubes 'free.' Great deal on a great product. Problem? They only had the granulated product in half the size. The Courtesy Counter made good on it for a couple of days, then reneged on the deal. Pulled the in-store coupon required off the shelf.

Then, last week, they ran another sale on the very same product, this time you get a 'free' bottle of cooking oil. -- The sale was advertised in their flier as was the last one. This time, however, they initially refused to make the substitution. That is, the store manager did. Only, initially. Until I made enough of a stink about the issue.

He pointed out correctly the flier does indicate not all stores have all products available. I also knew precisely where the disclaimer was printed on the flier. In small print, most people need a magnifying glass to read. Worse, it's located at the bottom of the inside flap on the first page. In other words, the disclaimer couldn't have been better hidden. What's the strategy? Get you in the store, then bait and switch? That's called deceptive trade practices.

In anything other than under a national socialist regime in Nazi Texas, it would have been investigated and prosecuted as such, -- if not corrected. Not so, with Republican fascists ensconced in the Texas Attorney General Consumer Protection Division. Forget? They're bought and paid for by their corporate masters. Right, General?

As I made it abundantly clear to the Kingsland HEB store manager, I'm quite aware who ultimately runs the show. And it's certainly not the store manager. This crap is not perpetrated by local store managers and employees. Rather, the determinedly clueless corporate management suite that does not have to deal with angry shoppers on a daily basis who are growing increasingly tired of this bullshit.

The point of all this, readers, is really quite simple. Don't remain silent when the corporate management suite is doing its best to screw you over. Speak up. Resist. Let them know. That it won't be tolerated. That they'll pay a price. Otherwise, nothing changes. Why would it? Forget? Greed rules.

Two final anecdotal points about this issue, the Knorr Bouillon cube product went up in price approximately 40% this year. This product is useful for flavoring meals. With meat as expensive as it is, many add this to vegetable soups and stews. Yet, the greedy bastards in the corporate management suite can't seem to ever get enough.

Ever try to get a 25-cent HEB cola out of the machine outside? Time after time after time the machine's been empty, or rips off the customer a quarter. To their credit, the Courtesy Counter makes good on this. Why is it inoperation of this machine has become a persistent issue? So much so, I gave up trying for months. The last time I tried not too long ago, however, amazingly it delivered product. ... Progress...you think...hope?

Ambush murders of police are outrageous acts of cowardice. There is no excuse, no justification. None. The Washington Post reports:

"The first and only fatal shooting took place just before noon in San Antonio, directly outside the police station, as a 20-year veteran of the police department issued a traffic ticket from inside his patrol car. The assailant, seemingly unconnected to the original motorist, shot the officer twice in the head before fleeing in a black car. No suspect is in custody."

"Police Chief William McManus described the suspect as a dark-complected, slim male in his 20s or 30s. Witnesses described the man as dressed in gray pants and a gray shirt, and surveillance photos show him leaving the scene in a black sedan with chrome rims and tinted windows. “We consider this person extremely dangerous and a clear threat to law enforcement officers and the public,” McManus said. Later, police published a photo seeking help in identifying a man “in connection” with the shooting, describing him as a “black male, 20-30 years old, 5’7-6?, tall, slim build with a goatee.” It was not clear if the two descriptions were of the same person."

"The slain officer was identified by the chief as Detective Benjamin Marconi, a 50-year-old father and grandfather. He had been with the force for 20 years and was a sex crimes detective who “excelled at his work” at the time of his death, a former colleague told NBC News.

"Marconi conducted a traffic stop in front of police headquarters at about 11:45 a.m. Sunday, the chief said. While he was sitting inside the patrol car, another vehicle — the black sedan with chrome rims — pulled up behind the officer. The suspect got out of the car, walked up to Marconi’s driver side window and fired one shot. It struck Marconi in the head."

This is exceptionally callous, cold-blooded. Indeed, a despicable act of cowardice.

"The suspect then “reached in through the open window and fired a second shot,” the chief said, hitting Marconi in the head again. The gunman walked back to the vehicle and drove away. Marconi was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead."

This officer had no chance to defend himself. His murder is far more than a crime. It is insurrection.

"Texas Gov. Greg Abbott called the slaying a “horrific act of violence” and added that “attacks against law enforcement officers will not be tolerated in Texas.”

Yes, Governor, it is horrific. Uncalled for. Unjustified under any circumstances. Texas has never tolerated attacks on police. Never will. Nor should murders committed by police against innocent, unarmed citizens be tolerated. Yet, they are. All over the state. Should this continue, the unwanted dreaded second American revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon could indeed become reality.

Texas is quite good at catching, prosecuting, and executing those who kill officers. Matters not whether the killings are in self defense, however. The perpetrator is summarily arrested, charged, convicted, and rots on death row until ultimately executed. Why isn't the same standard applied to criminal officers who wantonly murder on the job? Why is there no equal justice? No accountability?

"The suspect in the murder of a San Antonio police detective was arrested Monday afternoon. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said that 31-year-old Otis Tyrone McKane was taken into custody without incident at around 4:30 p.m. local time. McKane was charged with capital murder."

As well he should have been. Indeed, good news he was quickly found. Taken off the street. The same standard should apply to officers who murder on the job. Statutes must change. Any cop who murders while on or off duty needs to be quickly arrested, similarly charged. Executed if convicted. More on the above as the case develops.

Wake up, Sheriff. Again, where is dashcam video of the killing of Jeffrey Gray Wise, 52, of Austin by DPS and the Llano County Sheriff's Office? Thirty-two weeks, now. A goddamned disgrace. Why are you still sitting on this information? What are you hiding, Sheriff? What is the identity of the officers who killed Wise? Too gutless to release this information to the public that pays your salary and that of your goons? Reportedly, there were three officers involved in the shooting.

Who are they, Sheriff? Their past history? An ongoing investigation remains a lame bullshit excuse. How can you and your goons be trusted when you refuse to disclose information? Thirty-two weeks. Especially, your egregious failure to disclose the identity of the officers who pulled the trigger. To cover your sorry ass, Sheriff? Those of your thugs? The people have a right to know what happened, how it went down. You don't understand that, Sheriff? Sadly, clearly, you answer to no one. Including taxpayers. Especially, taxpayers.

Until you and your goons come clean, doubt will remain this was indeed a good shoot. The longer you drag your feet, the greater the doubt. Think not? Wake up. Your credibility has tanked. Isn't getting any better as this bullshit continues unabated. Thirty-two weeks. Still no identification of the officers involved ... Can't get your stories straight? In line? Discrepancy between LCSO and DPS? Wake up, Sheriff. The public no longer buys the bullshit. No longer trusts you. On this and many, many other issues. You have no credibility. Absolutely, none.

Readers, this is but one of about four other highly questionable killings by law enforcement in Llano County in the last decade or so. There was one within the City of Llano, another in a field near Fuzzy's Corner, Buchanan Dam, yet another in Point Tella, Buchanan Dam, still another in Tow. It's time the public be fully informed. -- Know what we're dealing with here and how 'law' 'enforcement' operates in this hell hole County. If these jackbooted bastards are not reined in, the life lost could be yours courtesy of a law enforcement system that is no longer accountable to anyone. ... Right, Sheriff? TL? "Sonny Boy?" Madam County Attorney?

The Sheriff seems to have no clue the people who pay him and his goons are entitled to know whom is killing whom and why. This shit always seems to be swept under the carpet. Ignored. The attitude of these jackbooted sons of bitches is trust us. They can't be. They've lied too many times. Refuse to be accountable to anyone. We live in a goddamned fascist police-state where law enforcement does as it pleases. Usually, with impunity. That has to change.

The Texas Rangers have become rubber stamp to atrocities committed by law enforcement. This also has to change. No one is holding law enforcement accountable any longer. No one. No one in state or federal government. This is precisely why Ferguson triggered such an uproar. There was no justice there. None here. None anywhere. Officers are abusive, corrupt, inept.

Falsely ticket and arrest the innocent to line County coffers. Court fees charged continue to be horrendous. -- Aren't taxpayers already looted to pay these costs? Aren't you boys not only double f--king those falsely accused, but taxpayers also hellaciously looted to pay the very same costs? Yet, the criminal bastards in power in Llano continue to pile on the fees. This is nothing more than goddamned bullshit. This money finds its way into the pockets of the corrupt and abusive bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hell hole.

should not have the ability to shut down ftp servers on four Liberty In
Peril websites, making upload impossible. -- Simply, because they don't
want the truth of their criminal activity reported to the public.

Should this site not be kept up, running, and fully operational, the
libertyinperil.com domain will be quickly moved to a different host
despite cost and hassle. No more bullsh-t. Criminal complaints will be

be easy to make since all links won't have to be changed or deactivated.

The pressure on Wells Fargo will continue unabated. Should they further
interfere with operation of this publication, it will simply provide
additional fodder for criminal complaints to be filed against them.

On 9-22-15, Kingsland Wells Fargo Store Manager Amanda Wright forced
closure of two accounts because for nearly three years this writer has
publicly accused her, her predecessor Lynn Massey, and the Wells Fargo
corporate management suite of engaging in criminal deceptive trade
practices, as well as pressuring, unduly interfering and/or bribing
webhosts to take these websites down.

Apparently, they have successfully managed to unduly influence and/or
bribe the federal Consumer Financial 'Protection' Bureau and Texas
Attorney General Consumer Protection Division as well. Forget? The bank
is considered too big to fail. Considers itself government.

For all practical purposes, that's perversely true. They have money and
resources to buy not only their human chattel, but their bought and paid
for government lackeys. Be interesting to see whether or not the U.S.
Attorney is untouchable, or sadly, similarly capable of being bought.

Immediately after closure of these accounts, the three operational Liberty
In Peril FTP servers were hacked. What that means is that while all three
sites remained operational and accessible to readers, new material could
not be uploaded. This continues to date.

Worse, 'free' accounts on all three 'free' webhosts conveniently no longer
provide technical control panel support. Clearly, they don't want to know
there are problems. Have managed, however, to find other ways to contact
webhost management and have done precisely that.

Will take a criminal investigation to determine who hacked the sites,
however. Most likely, Wells Fargo had a hand in it. Certainly, have the
resources. Highly, unlikely the Llano County Sheriff's Office was
involved. Hard to believe they would be that stupid. The Bank, however,

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues. Several years ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard. Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers. A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others at the time.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail. Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion. That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed several years ago. This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below. ... Governor? Wells Fargo bribe you to look the other way?

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags. Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up. Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate. -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area. Ten years after originally intending to do so. Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues. Another reason for this publication name change. Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues mustbe addressed. Can't be ignored. That's where you come in dear readers. Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up. Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result? Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day. These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem. No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked. It's time to stand up. Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight. Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb. From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain. Wake up. Grow a pair.

Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision. To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day. You have no control of your lives. You're owned. Forget? For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits. At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys. Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked. Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit. To line County coffers. Keep the peasants in line and under control. A fascist police-state. Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril. Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority. Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are. Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication? Thus, conveniently killing all credibility. Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country. Insult to injury? There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway. No matter the effort. No matter the research. No matter the proof. Wake up. This writer cannot do it alone. Snowball's chance in hell. Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded. Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy. Literally.

Click herefor a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
