Got guts? Tired of being lied to? Like an alternative source of information truly independent and free of government propaganda? Want this publication to continue? Send a donation to P.O. Box 151, Buchanan Dam, Tx. 78609.

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Due to inadequate, often difficult to access, or unreliable Internet access, each edition is usually posted about a week before official publication date.

Readers need to be aware this publication no longer uses the libertyinperil@inbox.com mail address for correspondence.  Sadly, Inbox is not Tor friendly.  Has not been reliable, particularly lately.  Turned out the recent snafu with mail sent to Amanda Wright of Wells Fargo may not have been due to blocking by Wells Fargo alone, but problems at Inbox.com with the server as well.  Still not absolutely sure, however.

A tech had earlier informed this writer the mail had been bounced by Wells Fargo.  That was clear from the Daemon.  The codes, however, were not.  When further questioned never answered whether the Wells Fargo block was system wide against Inbox.com or just against this writer.  The lame response received was that a new server was now being used to correct the problem.

Apparently, it had been working properly for a little over a week since no new mail had been returned from Wells Fargo.  Now, there are additional problems accessing the Inbox account itself through Tor.  This is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.  -- If you sent mail and I have not responded, that is why.  Try again.

Reliable contact with this publication can now be made through a new email address and provider that seems to be working correctly and reliably for some time now.  It is Tor friendly for those of you who wisely use this browser.  Of equal benefit, requires no java script enabled to operate.  -- Java script is often a tool used to track or introduce malware.  We'll see if this new service continues to be reliable.  The address is libertyinperil@ruggedinbox.com.

Apparently, there is no affiliation with the old service despite the similarity in names.  Also, when a suitable host is found for a commercial Liberty In Peril website, Yahoo Mail will be dumped at that time.  -- Yahoo is far from Tor friendly.  An absolute egregious pain in the ass to use.  Worst ever.  Has been a profound disappointment since publication relaunch.  Consequently, have only used it as a portal.  No where near what it was years ago.  Will certainly give readers plenty of notice before the change is made.

Still having endless problems with the host-ed.me, twomini.com, and wink.ws sites.  Keep getting unwarranted automated cancellation notices from twomini.  Can't access the control panel to do anything about it.  A twomini tech has been helpful, but still getting the notices.  The twomini and wink sites have way too much downtime.  Have not had time recently to replace these sites.  Precisely, why it remains so important to bookmark all Liberty In Peril websites.

The t15 site seems to be the most reliable, -- at the moment.

Trying to do all this on the cheap is certainly one of the problems.  Another may very well be the fact the hosts don't like the subject matter or have received complaints.  Don't know.  Just speculation.  Once I've filed complaints against my brother with out of state authorities, as well as file a criminal complaint against Wells Fargo with the U.S. Attorney, however, hope to have time to create new sites or find one commercial webhost I can trust.  ... Good luck, right?  LOL.

Having problems again with the Twomini site.  T-15 is the most reliable, followed by Wink.  Eventually, will set up a commercial site again when a suitable webhost is found.  Any ideas?  Know anyone reliable enough?  Staunch believer in protected speech?  Will stand up no matter what?

Clearly, police often deal with the dregs of society.  Doesn't excuse them, however, from the obligation to treat all they encounter humanely, with dignity, a semblance of respect.  Extremely easy for officers to become callous after years on the job.  When that happens, time to retire.  Sarasota, Fla. Officer Andrew Halpin is a prime example.

This cop was videotaped tossing peanuts into the mouth of an intoxicated Randy Miller he was booking into the Sarasota County Jail 7-18-15.  On command.  Like a circus animal.  Later in the video, Miller slumped to the floor and ate peanuts the officer kept kicking to him.  While this officer's behavior is in no way comparable to others in the 'profession' who have murdered on the job, it raises disturbing questions as to the fitness for duty of anyone this jaded.

Sarasota Police Chief Bernadette DiPino is not amused:

"I'm disappointed in what I saw in this video.  Due to the actions I've seen on camera, I immediately initiated an internal affairs investigation."

With all the abuse, corruption, ineptness of law enforcement recently finally seeing the light of day, one would think police would quickly smarten up.  Clean up their act.  Display some semblance of professionalism.  Not to be.  The above certainly is indicative of the fact the problem extends much further than murderous officers.  Remains truly systemic.  Top to bottom.  Bottom to top.  Demands radical change.  Complete overhaul of tactics, strategy, and approach in policing.

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has again demonstrated egregious unfitness for public office.  Commenting on the President's nuclear agreement with Iran, Mr. Huckabee opined:

"He would take the Israelis and basically march them to the door of the oven."

Is that right, Mikey?  How?  No concern for what the Israeli aggressor has done to the Palestinians since 1948 when the Israelis invaded, stole their land, killed them using modern terroristic tactics they invented at the time, have been constantly improving ever since, and have been consequently sadly applied worldwide by their enemies?

Atrocities perpetrated to this very day by the Israelis against Palestinians struggling to reclaim their homeland?  Since 1948, all with the blessing, aid, and assistance of the UN, Europe, and the United States.  Wake up, Mr. Huckabee.  Aching ignorance, abject aggressive stupidity are unbecoming any presidential candidate.

Thinking like yours, Mr. Huckabee, guaranties there will be no peace in the Middle East.  Continued bloodshed and terror.  When will you smarten up, Governor?  When it's too late?  Think the American public will continue to support the Israeli aggressor forever?  There're already chinks in the armor.  That clueless, sir?

In follow up to the last edition, former University of Cincinnati Officer Ray Tensing has been indicted on murder and involuntary manslaughter charges for shooting Samuel DuBose in the head.  Be interesting to see how this is finally adjudicated.  There remains a desperate need for creation of a new federal agency that would only investigate and prosecute if necessary criminal officers.  Staffed by investigators, prosecutors, and judges whose sole responsibility would be holding criminal officers accountable.  Subsequent to writing the above seems Tensing is seeking through his union to get his job back.  Interesting, isn't it?

The best most succinct explanation for Trump's skyrocketing poll numbers has been recently expressed by Dallas Mavericks basketball team owner Mark Cuban:

"I don't care what his actual positions are. I don't care if he says the wrong thing. He says what's on his mind. He gives honest answers rather than prepared answers. This is more important than anything any candidate has done in years."

That's precisely and sadly the issue.  How starved this country is for truth and honesty.  Problem with this shortsighted approach to the political arena?  It enables a dictator to easily sell his philosophy and ambitions to a gullible public.  Prime example?  Hitler's clever manipulation of the German population during the 30s prior to his invasion of Poland in 1939.

The bodies of nearly 40 United States Marines are finally being returned home from the South Pacific.  These men were members of the 2nd Marine Division who stormed an atoll on the island chain of Tarawa 11-20-43.  Did not expect fierce resistance.  Hellacious miscalculation, egregious intelligence failure.  Despite the fact the atoll had been fiercely bombarded before the Marines hit the shore.

Turns out the atoll was so well fortified with concrete bunkers the Japanese commander opined it would take a million men a hundred years to take it.  He was wrong.  It took the Marines three days.  Their losses were horrendous.  Over 1200 of our best and brightest died in the assault.  Hundreds of these gallant men remain buried there in makeshift graves.

Mark Noah is founder of History Flight.  This a non-profit that has already repatriated remains of over a hundred World War II military personnel.  For his efforts on Tarawa, he was made an honorary Marine by Marine Maj. Gen. James W. Lukeman:

"For bringing our fellow Marines home from the battlefield, it's my honor today to, on behalf of the Commandant, award you the title of honorary Marine."

Semper FiSemper Fidelis. Always Faithful.

Hat's off to all who made this repatriation possible.  Indeed, "no greater love."  These fallen men deserve far better than to be allowed to rest in makeshift graves, including pigsties, trash piles, anywhere convenient at the time they were killed.  The losses were so horrendous during the Second World War and the stakes so high, repatriation was impossible at the time.

At least today, all effort is made to leave no man or woman behind.  The least we can do for our servicemen and women.  We need to do much more, however.  Far more.  If not, there will likely come a time a war at the level of the Second World War will have to be fought.  At all costs.  No one will believe it.  No one will be willing to go.  Too many will believe it to be a ruse cleverly designed to line the pockets of corporate war profiteers.

Ever hear of Donnie Dunagan?  Bet you have, just don't know it.  Mr. Dunagan is one tough United States Marine.  Was drafted in 1952.  Received 13 promotions in 21 years, a record at the time.  Was highly decorated in Vietnam, wounded quite a few times.  An exemplary record of service.  Had a secret, however.  A big secret.

One he thought he couldn't disclose to any of his fellow Marines.  One did discover it, though.  His commander, a General.  Both at the end of their careers.  Dunagan was a Major running a Marine Corps boot camp at the time.  The General called him into his office one day just before both were to retire and asked him to audit the auditors.

The Major, overburdened with other responsibilities, respectfully asked his commander when he would have time to do so.  Seems the General then slyly lowered his glasses, handed him a top secret personnel file, advised him he would do so. -- Then called him Maj. Bambi.  That's right.  Bambi.
Major Donnie Dunagan is indeed the voice of Walt Disney's Bambi.

Must have been all of 6 or 7 at the time of production.  Did a masterful job.  Indeed, a command performance.  One of Disney's finest, cutest, most poignant movies.  Without question, a heartwarming tear jerker.  ... The Major had always feared exposure, -- that his recruits would find out and start calling him Maj. Bambi.  Wouldn't even initially tell his wife.

-- If, however, you saw a picture of this one tough Marine back in the 70s, you would quickly realize that would never happen.  The juxtaposition of the very same man as Bambi and a battle-hardened, highly decorated Marine combat veteran is quite remarkable.  Indicative of the profound humanity of these truly fine men and women who are members of the U.S. military.

... Bet there's nary a battle-hardened United States Marine, moreover, who hasn't shed a tear or two watching Bambi with a grand kid.  Bambi will likely remain a classic for all time.  -- With hardened old men bawling like babies.  A masterpiece demonstrative of the very best in humanity.  Interestingly, the movie was released in 1942, the middle of the Second World War.

At the very height of man's inhumanity to his fellow man.  Without question, the very best can and often does come at a time of the very worst.  Indeed, quite a legacy for this 80-year-old retired United States Marine.  Who has now indeed fully embraced both roles as child actor and United States Marine.  Thanks for your service, Major.  Your courage and humanity remain second to none.  Semper Fi.  You are quite an inspiration to all.

Were the values profoundly embedded in Bambi by Disney universally embraced, there would be no war.  Set to a catchy melody, Simon and Garfunkel poignantly in the 60s captured in song what Disney was trying to portray on screen:

"Last night I had the strangest dream I ever had before.  I dreamed the world had all agreed to put an end to war.  And the people in the streets below were dancing round and round.  And guns and swords and uniforms were scattered on the ground."

... If only.  The Dunagan story is courtesy of NPR's StoryCorps.

It's truly amazing human trafficking hasn't generated the uproar the killing of Cecil, the lion, from Zimbabwe has.  Granted the killing of this beloved lion by an American dentist is particularly galling and outrageously cruel.  Seems the lion with a GPS collar around his neck was lured from an animal sanctuary with a dead animal on the roof of a vehicle.

The dentist then allegedly shot the lion with a crossbow.  The shot was not fatal.  Was tracked for an additional 40 hours until finally killed with a gun.  The dentist allegedly used a crossbow at night to conceal the hunt from rangers.  Seems Zimbabwe is seeking to extradite the dentist.  Already, the White House has received a petition signed by 175,000 Americans at last count calling for his extradition.  Sadly, Cecil is but one of some 440 lion trophies that find there way back to the United States each year.

... Have never understood the lure of trophy hunting.  Seems obscene.  Killing for the sake of killing to hang something on a wall.  Hunting for food is another matter.  Certainly, necessary for controlling deer and feral hog populations here in Texas.  Can certainly feed a family for weeks with venison if not months with a feral hog.

The killing of Cecil is particularly sad since he apparently enjoyed human contact.  Allowed himself to be photographed with visitors.  His cubs may be killed by a new male or males introduced to his pride in his absence.  The consequences of his killing, without question, may be far greater than the death of this beloved big cat.

Seems Obamacare co-ops have suffered some $376 million in losses the first year.  May go belly up.  Financed by taxpayer loans.  Still not clear yet whether or not Obamacare will ultimately fail of its own weight.

The effort to expose Wells Fargo egregious deceptive trade practices continues.  Several months ago to determinedly apply renewed pressure on our truly worthless, egregiously self-serving Texas Attorney General, now Governor, an excoriating email was sent to the bastard.  Copies of which were also passed on to both offending Wells Fargo officers.  A copy was also sent to the Davis campaign and others.

Voters did have a right to know as Attorney General, the GOP candidate for Texas Governor apparently selectively investigated, or not, bona fide complaints filed by citizens against banks too big to fail.  Possibly, Wells Fargo could have lined his pockets in some fashion.  That has yet to be determined.

The bastard and his office, no matter what, failed to respond to the complaint originally snail mailed over a year ago.  This material, figuratively targeting Wells Fargo and the governor 'wannabe' now Governor, had been posted and can be found by scrolling all the way down and clicking on the links well below.

Will continue to do all I can to publicly expose this to all, both in this publication and elsewhere.  Have done precisely that with the following email sent to Absalute Diesel, Complete Diesel Repair & Service, Kingsland.  A copy of it was also sent to offending Wells Fargo officer Amanda Wright.  She has, indeed, been promoted to branch manager.  Reverse Darwinism.  Survival of the unfittest.

This young woman has indeed been rewarded by the Wells Fargo corporate management suite for engaging in criminal deceptive trade practices and her undying loyalty to her corporate masters.  As indicated earlier, the process to update those already informed of this fiasco continues with the News Editor, Austin American-Statesman.  This latest material can be found by clicking on Wells Fargo Deceptive Trade Practices Salvo 48, 8-3-15.

The name of this publication was changed some ten years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril.  The reason?  Simple.  Cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny that has only exponentially worsened the last decade.  Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of businesses to financially support this publication.  Either through advertising or other financial support.  Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who run and own this hellhole County.

-- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards.  Tough, isn't it?  Impossible to entertain any sympathy for cowardice, however.  Especially in view of the fact this writer has placed himself in great jeopardy taking on these corrupt, abusive, inept criminal bastards.  Alone.

Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags.  Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up.  Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity.  On a rampage.  Thus, you get what you truly deserve.  Always.  Precisely, why this earlier name change to Liberty In Peril remains appropriate.  -- Despite the fact this writer has not yet left the area.  Ten years after originally intending to do so.  Thirty years in this goddamned godforsaken hellhole.

This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues.  Another reason for this publication name change.  Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues mustbe addressed.  Can't be ignored.  That's where you come in dear readers.  Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced.

... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.  Otherwise, how can they effectively sustain the charade and intended result?  Loot confiscation through a boot heel on the throat of the citizenry.

The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day.  These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem.  No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked.  It's time to stand up.  Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight.  Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb.  From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain.  Wake up.  Grow a pair.

Still don't think that likely to happen.  After all, you're bought and paid for.  Owned.  Not only by your government masters, but their masters.  The corporate management suite.  Your employers.  Think not? Wake up.   You're human chattel.  Corporate-owned, bought and paid for.  Precisely, why you cowardly, compliantly literally bare your asses for corporate inspection by the company doctor.  Willingly, compliantly, cowardly piss in a cup under employer supervision.  To sit in front of a keyboard or stock shelves all day.  You have no control of your lives.  You're owned.  Forget?  For a measly salary, no job security, reduced to no benefits.  At a time of record corporate profits and cash reserves.

Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious theft of your labor.  Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys.  Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked.  Some of you falsely arrested, criminally assaulted, bogusly fined for 'offenses' you did not commit.  To line County coffers.  Keep the peasants in line and under control.  A fascist police-state.  Nazi America.

Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril.  Most galling?  Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority.  Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are.  Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication?  Thus, conveniently killing all credibility.  Wake up.

Cowardice is unbecoming, unworthy of our formerly great country.  Insult to injury?  There are the hopelessly deranged who believe the chicanery reported here to be manufactured anyway.  No matter the effort.  No matter the research.  No matter the proof.  Wake up.  This writer cannot do it alone.  Snowball's chance in hell.  Then again, cowardice, delusion is always amply, justly rewarded.  Always. You continue to 'enjoy' the very best government money can buy.  Literally.

JP2 Linda Ballard Recording

Click here for a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.'  The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request.   During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.

Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire.  Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint.  All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.

Publication of this material, however, should in no way be interpreted as endorsement of Ballard's opponent, Steve Lange, in the upcoming runoff.  It is not.  It is provided as a public service to expose the 'judge' for exactly whom and what she is.
