It has again been brought to the attention of this writer by a most trusted source a wealthy foreigner who built an exotic compound in Buchanan Dam may have indeed been afforded special treatment by LCRA and tax authorities. Why? How? -- May have used his enormous wealth to buy his way out of egregious violations of the law, cover his financially portly ass. LCRA and taxing authorities have always been a difficult target for exposure. Victims are too afraid to come forward, provide information. Allow disclosure of their identities. Consequently, the bastards oppressing the public continue to get away with it.
This problem is not only a result of cowardice of victims, however. Sadly, it extends much further. Better part of a year ago, this writer privately placed enormous pressure on a local engineer. Indeed, a crackerjack. Probably, the best in the business. He designs septic systems. Owns massive amounts of local real estate.
Has been egregiously dumped on by the bastards who falsely believe they run and own this hellhole County. Yet, in a heated exchange regarding other unrelated issues, opined LCRA to be his number one problem. -- From his perspective, indeed. Has to work each day to satisfy these jackasses and their outrageously unreasonable requirements, demands. Despite unresolved irrelevant issues, urged him to provide this publication with information regarding the problems he's had with LCRA.
Has failed to do so to date. Why? Ego. Aggressive stupidity. Apparently, has met his match. Someone who tolerates no smoke blown up his ass. Grants no quarter. Clearly, this guy can't handle anyone who takes no sh-t. From him or anyone else. Does not easily suffer cowardly fools. Worse? Bullsh-t, that is, unadulterated self-serving distortion of reality. Certainly, intentionally rattled his cage, pushed all his buttons. Cowardly walked away when he lost the argument.
Saddest of all? The public suffers for it. Anyone who needs a septic system gets egregiously f--ked by LCRA. The costs are always passed on. Always. Apparently, this engineer does not understand his long-term interests are best served by an LCRA that is not outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept, bought and paid for. Then again, it indeed takes a pair of cajones to stand up and do the right thing. Indeed, a most rare commodity nowadays. Hardly ever encountered anymore.
"Old Money Bags" is so loaded he needn't work another day in his life. Yet, live like a king. With money like that he could well afford to take on these bastards himself in court, -- at least furnish this publication with information readers desperately need to have. Apparently, his idea of public service is lining his bottomless pockets. Go along to get along. Despite the fact it pisses him off to no end. Yet, refuses to do anything. Apparently, now intimidated after putting up some public resistance at hearings to no avail. Doesn't apparently understand you never, ever give up. Never end the figurative pounding of these bastards. Never, ever.
Yet, he lives quite modestly. ... Despite the wealth and the fact, that as the rest of us, came into the world with absolutely nothing and will certainly leave the same. Precisely, why his indifference to principle, the people around him remains so damned discouraging. His treatment of one renter who had her shop in Kingsland was appalling. -- Despite nearly non-existent compensation to this exceptional woman who was far more than his "Gal Friday," in effect provided him with the services of a partner. For years.
Yet, treated her shabbily. When business went south, he did nothing for her. -- Despite the fact she and a friend of hers renovated his building at their expense and labor. Only to have it promptly rented out to another when she could no longer afford to stay. ... Despite the fact she offered products and services desperately needed by the community. Was second to none in knowledge of her products and customer service. When the rich conveniently use, abuse, loot the people around them truly responsible for their success, they remain no more than users. No heart. No soul. No compassion. Indeed, a piece of crap.
Precisely, why it remains so appalling this engineer has failed to provide the readership of this publication information that can be used to rein in this outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept quasi state agency so adept at looting the public. It's about to renew its aggressive enforcement efforts to force all lake front property owners to enter into contracts with it paying for water drawn to irrigate.
-- Despite the fact all lake front property owners are already gouged taxwise for non-existent lake front due to egregious mismanagement of the water shed. Piping it downstream for decades to line its bottomless pockets. Now, that the lakes remain consistently low and sales of water are down, it intends to raise rates. Cries poverty. Imagine that. -- While riding around in ubiquitous brand new vehicles and supporting a massive workforce it does not need. It's called the gravy train.
Can you believe things have gotten so oppressive LCRA forces resort owners to pay for and install water meters on effluent lines effectively limiting how many times paying guests can flush their toilets? This is no joke. The goddamned truth. Insult to injury? Owners are gallingly forced to read the meters on a regular basis and report back to LCRA. ... Can you say f--k the bastards?
The name of this publication was changed some ten years ago from The Llano Ledger to Liberty In Peril. The reason? Simple. Achingly, simple. The cowardly failure of this community to stand up to tyranny here that has only exponentially worsened the last decade. Clearly, demonstrated as well by the cowardly failure of advertisers to advertise in this publication. Too afraid doing so would enrage the bastards who still run and own this hellhole County. -- Despite the fact these businesses were, and are, being egregiously f--ked by these very same bastards. Tough, isn't it?
Exactly, why you see no investigative material highly critical of these sons of bitches in other local rags. Sadly, cowardly, all advertising income immediately dries up. Consequently, the bastards continue their criminal chicanery with impunity. Consequently, you get what you truly deserve. Always. This writer, then and now, remains primarily interested in state, federal, and international issues. Another reason for the name change. Despite the fact I stupidly cluelessly remain here, local issues must be addressed. Can't be ignored. That's where you come in dear readers. Have the courage to inform this writer of local abuse, corruption, ineptness you are aware of, have personally experienced. ... Information these criminal bastards do all they can to conceal, cover up.
The only way, short of an unwanted dreaded second American revolution, to force badly-needed change is to expose all this to the light of day. These bastards are beginning to understand they have a problem. No question, the growing rage of those they've abused, looted, egregiously f--ked. It's time to stand up. Expose this corruption to glaring sunlight. Otherwise, as fools, cowards, you will remain under their thumb. From the loftiest business owner to those on the bottom of the food chain. Wake up. Grow a pair.
Still don't think that likely to happen. After all, you're bought and paid for. Owned. Not only by your government masters, but their masters. The corporate management suite. Your employers. Then, you gallingly complain about the oppression as you tolerate egregious looting of your labor. Not only by your corporate masters, but their bought and paid for government lackeys. Too cowardly to stand up, allow disclosure of your identity when you rightfully complain to this publication of being mercilessly f--ked.
Again, yet another reason why this publication is called Liberty In Peril. Most galling? Nothing changes if you fail to step up and challenge corrupt, abusive, inept authority. Too afraid, cowardly compliant to let the bastards know who you are. Did it ever occur to the cowards out there if the identity of the accuser is kept under wraps the bastards will falsely claim it's all made up by this publication? Kill all credibility? Insult to injury? There are the hopelessly deranged who believe it anyway. No matter the effort. No matter the research. No matter the proof. Wake up. This writer cannot do it alone. Snowball's chance in hell.
The insanity continues in Gaza. The UN claims the Israelis intentionally targeted a school in northern Gaza used by the U.N. Relief and Workers Agency to shelter Palestinians. Sixteen were killed, hundreds wounded. UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness states, "We had notified the Israeli military that this school was being used by UNRWA as a shelter for hundreds of people and we notified the Israeli military that there were people there to evacuate and UNRWA never got the approval to evacuate."
This UN agency intends to fully investigate the incident but can't due to "firing at the school." The Israeli aggressor denies responsibility for the attack. Israel Defense Forces spokesman Lt. Col. Peter Lerner claims, "A single errant Israeli mortar landed in the courtyard in the school. The footage we have shows the courtyard was empty." Grainy footage from high altitude.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remains clueless, intractable, "We hope we can get a sustainable quiet as soon as possible. I think the only path to do that is by adopting the Egyptian initiative." That 'initiative' maintains an unacceptable status quo Hamas will never accept. That is, continued occupation by the Israeli aggressor. Continued siege. Continued blockade of Gaza perpetrated by both Egypt and Israel. Continued imprisonment of hundreds just before the latest invasion.
Laughably, Netanyahu wants total demilitarization of Gaza. Will not happen. Cannot happen. Hamas would never agree. Why should it? Would be no more than total capitulation to the Israeli aggressor. Claims if it is demilitarized, so should the Israelis. While the President and Secretary of State are clearly not happy with egregious deliberate targeting of civilians by the Israeli aggressor, they remain unwilling to do what's necessary to end it. That is, aggressive enforcement of American export law prohibiting offensive use of U.S. weapons and munitions in densely-populated areas.
Until that happens, the Israelis will continue to target civilians in these areas. Refuse to end the occupation and siege. Allow free passage of people and goods into and out of Gaza. Consequently, Hamas will continue to target the aggressor. It is amazing how outraged both Israel and the United States remain about nearly totally ineffective rocketing that has claimed only three lives. A handful of injuries. Palestinian deaths in the last three weeks courtesy of the invasion and bombing as of 7-30-14? Over 1,200. Wounded? Over 7,000. Most of whom? Innocent civilians. Israelis? 53 soldiers. Two civilians. One foreigner. A handful of injuries. Most reasonable people would consider this a massacre.
The hypocrisy regarding civilian deaths is stunning. The United States government seems to have conveniently forgotten how often we have deliberately targeted civilians. Saturation bombing of Nazi Germany during the Second World War, including the firebombing of Dresden. The atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The deliberate killing of innocent civilians was rightfully credited with bringing both theaters of war to successful conclusion in 1945. Carpet bombing of both North and South Vietnam continued during that particular conflict back in the 60s, 70s. To say nothing of the bombing earlier, in Korea.
More recently, the United States has become far more politically correct vis a vis Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and elsewhere. Cleverly now calls such supposedly 'inadvertent' killing of civilians "collateral damage." That is, only when we and our allies engage in such activity. Conveniently, 'justifies' such killing. Usefully, so. After all, such killing places enormous pressure on the targeted civilian population to force its leaders to end the conflict. Capitulate. ... While we conveniently avoid responsibility for what it truly is. Murder. War crimes.
Simply why when the Israeli aggressor, other allies, and the United States do precisely this, they disingenuously accord themselves phony "plausible deniability." Despite the fact they know innocent people will be killed in densely-populated areas. Despite the fact it is absolutely intentional and eminently useful to promulgate and enforce our foreign policy. Our will. When Hamas and others do the same, however, it's terror. Interesting, isn't it? Indeed, a double standard. Employed by each recent American president, their henchmen, as well as their successors.
The hypocrisy, stunning. Unsustainable. Israelis are again paying the price in terms of world opinion. Hopefully, the world community will wake up and break off all trade with the aggressor. Support in the United States is dropping as well. Only a matter of time before a majority of Americans force desperately needed change. Absolutely necessary and critical to long-term survival of the Israeli State. Yet, the GOP, Democrats, Religious Right, as well as the President and his henchmen remain clueless.
What is of terrible concern is the increase of anti-Semitism world-wide as a consequence of Israeli atrocities and subjugation of Palestinians. Hatred of Jews is an atrocity itself and unacceptable. Bigotry, racism, prejudice? Clueless. Outrageously, short-sighted. Criticism of the Israeli aggressor and its actions which amount to no more than war crimes is warranted. Deserved. Not one and the same with anti-Semitism, however. Distinct. How so? When the aggression ends, so does the criticism.
This criticism is not directed ethnically or racially. Simply against the perpetrators of the aggression. Even Hamas has opined it does not fight Jews per se, just occupiers and oppressors. They want them out of their territory. The oppression to end. It will not. Certainly, not anytime soon since the aggressor continues to receive highly-sophisticated weapons and financial support from our formerly great country.
Again, that will likely change as our population continues to wake up. Withdrawal of such egregiously abused support would certainly level the playing field. Force the Israelis to end the aggression. Make peace. Allow and support statehood for the Palestinians. Until that happens, war will continue to rage. Off and on. Indefinitely. One thing is certain. Hamas will continue to rearm and become more proficient as a military force. Their dogged determination to take the fight to the aggressor despite horrendous losses must send a chill up the cowardly spines of Netanyahu and his henchmen. -- -- War criminals who will likely some day be held accountable at the World Court along with their enemies for doing the same.
Israel must withdraw to pre-1967 borders. End the settlements. Withdraw from Jerusalem. Allow reuniting of all Palestinian territory including Gaza and the West Bank. Most importantly? Allow creation of a Palestinian state. Until all this happens, the conflict will continue. Hamas has indeed become a far better organized, trained military force. This, according to the Israelis themselves.
Instead of just employing standard terroristic techniques including suicide bombings, it is now using guerilla tactics. Acting as commandos. Precisely why they have successfully killed some 53 Israeli soldiers after they again invaded Gaza. No matter what, Hamas will replenish its supplies of weapons, continue training. Again, has to rattle the cage of the Israelis since Hamas never stops taking the war to the enemy. No matter the cost.
The humanitarian disaster in Gaza is horrendous and growing. The Israelis bombed a power plant 7-29-14. Power up to that point had been spotty. Now, the generator is offline. Will take quite some time to correct. Nearly two million Palestinians remain in dire straits as a result of the intentional decimation of the Gaza Strip by the Israeli aggressor. Will shortly dwarf horrific casualties to date as the humanitarian crisis worsens. When the scope of the disaster becomes fully known to the world, the pressure on Israelis could turn out to be unbearable, finally forcing desperately needed change.
The United States claims to have satellite images of Russian-launched rockets hitting Ukraine. If true, this remains further evidence of egregious failure of the European community, the United States, and the world community to rein in the Russian aggressor. Sanctions imposed remain lackluster, piss-poor. Will certainly not, of themselves, change the status quo. -- An unacceptable status quo that remains highly reminiscent of the late 1930s where the German aggressor, that is the Nazis, were appeased, not taken seriously. With disastrous results. A total trade embargo and immediate suspension from the UN and other agencies are required. Now. Not tomorrow, the next day, month, year, or never. Now.
Judson Phillips is a writer for The Washington Times. An attorney and founder of Tea Party Nation. The Times is always interesting to read since it is usually well-written, thoughtful, -- despite the fact of strong bias to the Right. That which hits the mark and accurately targets errant Democrats, however, finds its way into this publication if it can be verified elsewhere.
Despite its usual professionalism, seems to occasionally attract and promulgate the most extreme lunatics of the Right. When this happens, much of it indeed seems to come from another planet. The fringe. This country has turned so Nazi Right, the lunatic fringe on the Left no longer exists as it did some forty years ago.
The Left today, what remains of it, is where the Center was decades ago. The Right, however, is highly reminiscent of early Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. Frighteningly, so. Mr. Phillips is certainly an exemplary example of this ongoing perversion of ideology perpetrated by those clearly having lost the ability to think, reason. Sanely. Cogently.
Hitler and Mussolini were initially ignored and dismissed as buffoons decades ago. At tremendous cost. While Mr. Phillips is indeed no Adolph or Benito, at least not yet, he must not be dismissed as merely a lunatic since many in our formerly great country embrace his beliefs. Precisely, why this writer has chosen to cover his views on the appalling two-hour botched execution that occurred in Arizona recently, perpetrated by the Arizona Department of Corrections on inmate Joseph Rudolph Wood. No matter your views regarding capital punishment, close examination of those held by Mr. Phillips is warranted, quite enlightening. Exquisitely indicative of how far matters have regressed as our formerly great country continues to nazify.
Phillips opines, "On Wednesday, the State of Arizona executed Joseph Wood. The left wing media immediately jumped on the case, calling it a 'botched execution.' To begin with, the execution wasn’t botched. He’s dead, isn’t he?"
Mr. Phillips, didn't The Times, indeed a stalwart of the Nazi Right itself, report the execution as botched? You don't think taking two hours to kill a man is unacceptable? Demonstrative of an egregious lack of proficiency? Have no clue what "cruel and unusual" means? Despite the fact you would not bring back executions by immersion in boiling oil? How thoughtful of you.
Think that the only unacceptable method of execution? Suffocation taking two hours to kill acceptable to you? Buy assertions by the state he was indeed unconscious the entire two hours? How do you know, sir? You weren't there, were you? Why wouldn't the state lie like hell to cover its ass, Mr. Phillips? How does it have any credibility when it ineptly took two hours to kill the bastard?
Phillips went on to opine, "Wood was convicted of two counts of first degree murder. The murders occurred in 1989. Wood was convicted and sentenced to death in 1991. He spent 23 years on death row while tax payer funded lawyers cranked out every strategy possible to stop or delay his execution."
As well they should, Mr. Phillips. It's called the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments, sir. Don't believe in the United States Constitution, Mr. Phillips? Designed by the Founders to not only protect the rights of the guilty but the innocent as well. You don't get that? That clueless?
This jackass went on to declare, "The botching was not the execution. The botching was that it took 23 years." Wake up, Mr. Phillips. Forget how many innocent people have been exonerated through DNA evidence decades after conviction? Some of whom pled guilty to murders they did not commit due to outrageously unconstitutional pressure and tactics brought to bear by abusive, corrupt, inept 'prosecutors' and 'law enforcement?' Piss-poor representation by court-appointed lawyers? Wake up, Mr. Phillips. Your ignorance is appalling, unbecoming. You're cluelessly out of touch with reality.
While Wood appears to be guilty from all accounts, how many innocent people have already been murdered by the state? Unconcerned? Mere inadvertent 'necessary' "collateral damage" in your perverse rush to execute the condemned? While this writer certainly doesn't care what your religious persuasion or views happen to be, your rhetoric seems remarkably similar to that expressed by the Nazi Right in our formerly great country. Fascist bastards who falsely profess to be 'Christians.' No more than nazis, however. Give Christianity, sadly, an undeserved bad name.
Further evidence of Phillips' perversion of reality? "The problem with the death penalty in America is that liberals have taken a system that worked, broke it and then claimed the system is so broken it must be abolished. This is sort of like Barack Obama’s approach to immigration." Is that so, Mr. Phillips? How? How are the two related? Linking the two because it suits your achingly perverse political agenda?
... Can't understand how the above glaringly exposes you for the shill of the Radical Right you truly are? How has the system of capital punishment 'worked?' How? Especially, when so many have been exonerated through DNA decades after the fact? Falsely imprisoned. On death row. Worse? Far worse? When there are numerous highly questionable examples of the innocent murdered by the state? Falsely in the name of justice.
Further distortion of reality by this uninformed jackass? "In the ‘80s and ‘90s, the left made two major pushes against the death penalty. The first was the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act, which Bill Clinton signed in 1996. The left claimed there were massive numbers of death penalty cases being set aside for 'ineffective assistance of counsel.' There weren’t that many, but that did not stop the left."
Not that many? You remain delusional, Mr. Phillips. We hear of exonerations constantly in the news, including The Times. Wake up, sir. You're uninformed. Designedly, determinedly ignorant. Unqualified counsel remains a problem. Nowhere near the resources afforded the prosecution are made available to the defense. Has always been a problem. Continues to be. Consequently, the innocent poor are railroaded. The rich buy their way out, innocent or guilty.
Worse? 'Judges' remain in the pockets of 'prosecutors.' Dictate what is and is not admissible at trial. Dictate to defense attorneys what is and is not 'proper' defense. Instead of leaving it to juries to decide. Effectively stack the deck for the 'prosecution,' at expense of defendants. Your determined ignorance, Mr. Phillips, is appalling. You're a lawyer, sir?
This jackass went on to falsely opine, "What the Effective Death Penalty Act did was create a gravy train for anti-death penalty lawyers. Judges were trained to never turn down a request by court appointed lawyers for funds in death penalty cases. Lawyers were taught out to get everything they wanted, driving the costs of these cases up."
None of the above is true. None of it. All a distortion of reality by a fascist partisan who has an agenda. There is no gravy train for lawyers fighting the death penalty. Quite the opposite. Proof? Again, all those falsely accused, exonerated decades after the fact through DNA. The funds allotted by judges is never equivalent to that afforded prosecutors and law enforcement by looted taxpayers. Nowhere near. That's precisely why DNA has exonerated so many decades after the fact. They initially got it wrong. For years, decades. Could have killed the innocent. You don't get that, fool?
For this misinformed fascist to imply and/or claim otherwise is not only disingenuous, but outrageously misleading and false. Defense counsel never gets anywhere near what is sufficient to properly defend these cases. Never. Again and ad nauseum, precisely why so many have been exonerated years after the fact by DNA. What about the innocent who have been murdered by the state? "Collateral damage?" No problem?
Coup de grace? "By the early 2000s, most states had gone to lethal injection. Then the left made a coordinated attack on lethal injection. Anti-death penalty lawyers have gone after the sources of the drugs that are used, often forcing states to use alternative drugs or compounding pharmacies. These same lawyers demanded the identity of these pharmacies be revealed so presumably the pharmacy could then be harassed."
Again, Mr. Phillips is egregiously uninformed. He seems to think an execution that takes two hours to complete and clearly involves torment of the prisoner outlawed by the Eighth Amendment is acceptable. To take two hours to suffocate, torture, and kill a prisoner is unacceptable in a supposedly civilized society.
Apparently, this jackass thinks otherwise. It is necessary to know the identity of pharmacies and their compounds to determine whether or not the concoction will be effective and quick. Ignoring the horrendous immorality and hypocrisy of what amounts to no more than state-sponsored murder of the condemned, guilty or innocent, why are botched executions even an issue when veterinarians safely and painlessly euthanize animals every day of the week? Ferociously pointedly, is it the intention of these goddamned savages to indeed torture the condemned? Make them pay? Perversely, get their cookies off doing so? Does it indeed turn on clueless bastards such as yourself, Mr. Phillips? How you get your cookies off, sir?

JP2 Linda Ballard Recording
Click here for a most interesting conversation between JP2 Linda Ballard and LCRA Communications Supervisor Mitch Hibbs who at the time was investigating a complaint made by the Henderson family against the 'judge.' The recording had been made by Hibbs and provided by Phyllis Henderson who had gotten it through an open records request. During the course of the recording you will hear the 'judge' make a terroristic threat against the Henderson family which the investigator laughingly shrugged off as a joke.
Seems former LCRA Ranger Lance Bilski, stepson of Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, had been harassing the Henderson family regarding their tire business, Henderson Tire. Worse? There are unsubstantiated allegations, that although very much attached, Bilski may have indeed engaged in improprieties, that is, egregiously unprofessional conduct relevant to the Henderson complaint. All this had been covered in Newsletter Text V346.
