Jeremiah Denton.  Ring a bell?  Don't remember this truly great patriot?  -- The late Retired Admiral Jeremiah Denton.  Passed on recently at the age of 89.  Those of you who lived through the Vietnam War era will certainly recall the valor of this pilot who flew an A-6 Intruder attack jet over North Vietnam.  ... Until he was shot down in July 1965 approximately a month after he began flying combat missions.  Spent seven and a half years at the "Hanoi Hilton" where he was senior officer.  The Admiral and his fellow prisoners, most of them fighter pilots, were severely tortured, egregiously abused by their North Vietnamese captors.  As most of you know, one of those prisoners was Arizona Sen. John McCain.

What many may not remember, however, or may not have been alive at the time to know, is the fact Mr. Denton was responsible for disclosing to the world community the North Vietnamese were torturing American POWs in direct violation of the Geneva Conventions.  During a 1966 interview, using Morse Code, he covertly blinked:   Dah...Dah Dah Dah...Di Dah Dit...Dah...Di Di Dah...Di Dah Dit...Dit.   That is:  T...O...R...T...U...R...E.   As a high school student at the time and a licensed ham radio operator, this kid was absolutely riveted.

When these men were finally released February 1973, seen getting off the aircraft, it was quite obvious how bad the torture and abuse had clearly been.  These truly gallant men, great credit to the military and country they served,  remained loyal Americans.  Despite their horrendous treatment at the hands of the North Vietnamese.  Precisely, why it remains absolutely incomprehensible to this writer we, as Americans, could impose similar horrendous abuse and torture during the last decade in Iraq, Afghanistan, and in gulags all across the globe courtesy of "Extraordinary Rendition."

-- CIA goons would transport, then torture these prisoners in countries that allow such abuse.  Absolutely incomprehensible to most Americans.  Including former POW Sen. John McCain.  Yet, these traitorous bastards are perversely considered heroes by the gutless Nazi Right.  Despite the fact Japanese Gen. Tomoyuki Yamashita was executed in 1946 for war crimes his troops had committed including waterboarding.

All torture and abuse must be condemned.  No matter where.  No matter who perpetrates it.  No matter the rationale.  Doesn't work anyway.  Remains outrageously unacceptable.  Barbaric.  Likely, sadly, will not end any time soon.  Too much a part of the dark side of human nature.  Consider the following fictional scenario.  Certainly, won't happen any time soon, -- if ever here in Texas.  ... But what if it did?

A future government in Mexico wants, is determined to take Texas back.  Has an air force second to none.  Mexican pilots just leveled the Llano County Courthouse in an effort to take out the seat of power in Llano County.  Businesses on the Square lay in ruins, obliterated.  Many dead, injured.  Chaos.  People dazed.  In shock.  Crying out for help.  Not sure what just happened or why.

Those uninjured walking aimlessly about trying to get their bearings, regain a grasp on reality.  Others mobilizing, digging through rubble for victims.  The stench of burnt flesh heavy in the air.  ... Soon to be followed by that of the dead in the hot Texas sun.  Carnage appalling, ubiquitous.  A toddler, miraculously alive, unhurt, clings to his lifeless mother.  Her head, right shoulder, arm, -- gone.

Just prior to the unprovoked attack, County residents could hear the jets coming.  Screaming in from the south.  Got out and laid up a barrage of small arms fire straight up into the air hoping beyond hope to get lucky and hit one of the bastards.  Not to be.  On the way back to Mexico, however, they again determinedly opened fire on the raiders returning home.  This time their luck improved. A round hit a fuel tank, the pilot in desperate trouble.   Quickly ejected.  Residents let out a cheer, got into their trucks, chased the bastard desperate to quickly reach him as his parachute drifted to earth.

What do you think would likely happen to this individual when residents finally caught up?  Even if the pilot was lucky enough to be captured by the Sheriff's Office, think he'd fare much better?  The point of all this is achingly simple.  Human nature is human nature.  Although we like to think so, we're no different than anyone else.  We're savages.  Revenge, too 'sweet.'  Mr. Denton clearly understood this:  "In the early morning hours, I prayed that I could keep my sanity until they released me. I couldn't even give in to their demands, because there were none. It was pure revenge."

Revenge is 'sweet.'  Perversely, so.  Think not?  Then why do so many cheer executions, at least some of whom innocent?  Railroaded by outrageously corrupt, abusive prosecutors, law enforcement.  More interested in nailing someone, anyone.  Guilt?  Innocence?  No longer matters.  Irrelevant in Nazi America.  Yet, somehow, some way, we insanely believe we're better than others.  Clearly, we're not.

Republican fascists recently scored a huge legal 'victory' when three women they had determinedly appointed to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals rubberstamped, as expected, a nazi law that will ultimately result in the closure of all but six abortion clinics in the not-so-great state of Nazi Texas.  A third of abortion clinics have already closed.  Not-so-'Christian' GOP nazis cheer this sad, sad development that has already resulted in desperate women trying to abort themselves, asking their boyfriends and husbands to beat the crap out of them to induce an abortion, going to Mexico to buy an abortion-inducing medication known as misoprostol that medical professionals consider risky.

These, the very same fascist GOP bastards who hypocritically attend church each Sunday, thank the Good Lord for their stolen good fortune on bended knee.  ... While callously f--king their female constituents by denying them medical care they desperately need.  Not only abortion services, however.  Most of these nazis don't believe in birth control either.  More than willing to deny impoverished women IUDs as well as oral contraceptives.  Falsely, ignorantly claim IUDs to be abortion inducing devices.  Precisely, why they cheer closure of Planned Parenthood facilities.  ... It's not only abortion, stupid.  Birth control, as well.  -- Perversely ill, nazi sons of bitches with a perverse religious agenda they intend to force on all.  How are they any different than their Islamic theocratic brethren?  How?

According to these achingly ignorant haughty bastards, the "little lady" is too hopelessly stupid, poorly-informed to decide for herself what she can and cannot do with her uterus.  They'll decide for her.  Galling.  Worse?  Far worse?  The unmitigated hubris of disingenuously but most conveniently loading the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals with three female goosestepping nazi shills too damned hopelessly ignorant, aggressively stupid themselves to understand the significance of the fact there is no longer an abortion provider in the Rio Grande Valley.

These three far from impartial women cagily appointed to this nazi 'court' by Republican fascists to provide some semblance of phony respectability to an exceptionally galling and outrageously unconstitutional ruling are not representative of all women in Texas and remain an egregious affront to their gender.  What does that mean?  Wake up.  A woman has to travel some five hours one way to get an abortion.  These hopelessly ignorant, sad excuses for 'jurists' ludicrously believe this is not an "undue burden."  Have openly, directly said so in their ruling, -- no more than 'legislation' of their perverse ideological and religious views from the bench.  Many women are too impoverished to afford the trip.  Exactly what these sad, sick, convoluted nazi bastards on the Right desperately hope.  Perversely ill sons of bitches who wouldn't know freedom if it bit them hard on the ass.

Do the Governor, GOP nazis in the Legislature, and their rubberstamp shills in our kangaroo court system truly believe women will simply keep their legs crossed, panties up?  What about the men who get their cookies off impregnating these women?  What does the Nazi Right intend to do about them?  Castrate them?  For what?  Indulging in a biological activity as instinctively driven as eating, sleeping, breathing, urinating, defecating, etc.?  Only reasonable caveat?  Sex must be between consenting adults.

What excuse will these ignorant bastards give the public when taxpayers are socked with additional medical expenses for botched back alley abortions, increased cost of social services for unwanted children forced to term on women by these cowardly fascist egregiously un-Christian bastards?  Think welfare costs, food stamps, WIC, etc.  won't increase?  Think these women will simply, compliantly give up these kids for adoption at birth?  Doesn't work that way.  Republicans are too damned stupid to understand this.  They'll keep these children and will wind up a burden on taxpayers. Wake up.  What about these kids themselves?  What kind of life will they have?  'Life' at any price?

These lying bastards on the Right falsely, disingenuously claim they're simply trying to improve conditions in abortion clinics.  Make it safer for the 'little lady.'  Bullsh-t.  Abject bullsh-t.  They lie.  Shamelessly.  What they claim is simply untrue.  These conditions are not what these liars claim them to be.  They've drunk the Kool Aide.  Bought the bullsh-t.  Phony bullsh-t.  Equally pointedly?  Doctors performing abortions are routinely denied admitting privileges to local hospitals.  The cowardly hopelessly greedy bastards running these public and privately-owned facilities that egregiously loot the public with outrageously inflated charges have refused to give abortionists even an application for admitting privileges.  Apparently, they fear the Nazi Right and ramifications.  It's far easier for these goddamned cowards to deny admitting privileges and care to women who desperately need it.  Hippocratic Oath?   Again? Bullsh-t.  The Hypocritical Oath.  Nazi America.

The medical profession itself has repeatedly stated these changes mandated by this outrageous law are unnecessary.  Not needed.  They're in effect for one reason and one reason only.  Republican fascists are hellbent on forcing their perverse religious views on all.  In direct violation of the Establishment Clause, First Amendment, that is, freedom from religion.  De facto church-state separation.  Should this insanity continue, think conditions here ultimately will be any better than an Islamic theocracy?

Texas Gov. Rick "The Prick" Perry has clearly made his views and intentions well known:  “make abortion, at any stage, a thing of the past.”  Who is this nazi to force his perverse religious views and fascist ideology on the rest of us?  This sad excuse for a man and his equally fascist colleagues in the Legislature remain an exigent threat to reproductive freedom.  This bastard and his ilk place welfare of the unborn ahead of the welfare, best interests of the woman and her right to do with her uterus as she damn well pleases.

Freedom?  They wouldn't know freedom if it bit them hard on the ass.  Absolutely no conception.  Clueless.  So egregiously ignorant they deliberately cut social services while forcing women to bring an unwanted fetus to term.  Then, gallingly perversely call it 'freedom.'  The 'freedom' to do what you're told.  What they tell you to do.  What they perversely deem 'proper', 'moral.'  While stealing the eyeteeth from the masses to line their bottomless pockets.  Egregious class injustice in Nazi America.  The hypocrisy, stunning.

Where's your swastika armband, Governor? Where?  A raucous, bootclicking, goosestepping, treasonous, traitorous  Sieg Heil!?  Without question, the national socialism of the last century has miraculously risen from the dead and is now alive and well in Nazi Texas.  You remain an embarrassment, Rick.  So do your fellow GOP nazis.  You're laughed at Governor.  Certainly, by anyone with half a brain and the ability to see through the scam.  Unparalleled evil not seen since the days of the Third Reich and Fascist Italy.  Hyperbole?  Wake up.  The worst is yet to come. Forget?  They're just getting started.

Recently appointed General Motors CEO Mary Barra is an extremely gifted, brilliant woman.  An engineer.  Been with GM her entire working life.  Indeed, a rising star who reached the pinnacle of power as the first female Chief Executive Officer of an automotive manufacturer.  Her testimony, however, before a House committee, sadly, is simply not credible.  She claims she does not know whom is responsible for the failure to recall vehicles with a defective 90 cent part that resulted in 13 deaths.  Cowardly, deferred to an ongoing investigation that GM is self-servingly, conveniently conducting itself.  Where in hell are federal regulators?  Bought off?

It does not take an engineer or rocket scientist to know whom is ultimately responsible.  The CEO and Board in charge of the company at the time GM failed to order the recall.  As far as responsibility down the foodchain, any engineer and engineering manager directly involved with the defective part.  Silence when death results from a known defect is inexcusable, cowardly, and criminal.  A far more important question is why has there been no criminal investigation of the 13 deaths?  Why has this corporation and its corporate management suite itself been protected against criminal liability?  Too big too fail?  Again and pointedly, who's been bought off?  More importantly, by whom?

It is inconceivable that Barra does not know those responsible for the failure to recall these defective vehicles years ago.  She's been there decades as an employee.  Is an engineer.  While she may have had nothing personally to do with the defective ignition switch, it is hard to believe she was unaware of the scuttlebutt that pervades any and every corporation.  She claims this is a new GM.  Embraced a new mentality.  New approach.  ... After bail out by taxpayers.  Has it?  Will it stand behind the families of the 13 dead?  Or hide behind protection afforded by bankruptcy?

Again, where are, and were, federal regulators?  Did they cowardly succumb to intense pressure from GOP fascists who want absolutely no regulation of manufacturers and the corporate management suite?  Were regulators bought off?  How much have legislators received in lobbyist loot from GM?  The questions can, and will, go on and on.

The United States Supreme Court, in a 5-4 decision 4-2-14, obliterated the last forty years of campaign finance law.  Rubberstamping literal purchase of politicians and what amounts to nearly unlimited bribery of these very same outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept bastards by those with bottomless pockets.  The ruling written by Bush "The Tush" appointee John Roberts conveniently ignores rampant widespread bought and paid for elective office holders craftily secured by the highest bidders, wealthiest buyers.  Ensures the political system will ultimately be run and owned by a handful of oligarchs.  -- Certainly, the goal of Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged national socialists who have successfully commandeered the Republican Party.  What this means is that power will continue to be consolidated, concentrated in the hands of a decreasing few who will run and own it all.  ... A raucous, goosestepping, bootclicking, treasonous, traitorous Sieg Heil!, Johnny Boy?  -- How about trading in the phony judicial robes for a resplendent Nazi SS uniform, Mr. Chief 'Justice?'  Full Nazi regalia.  Certainly, would be far more appropriate attire for a dyed in the wool national socialist, wouldn't it?

Intolerance?  No question.  Intolerance of the intolerable is no sin.  Rather, a virtue.   A virtue, the sheep have long since abandoned in Nazi America.  Too easy to cowardly cave in.  To outrageously corrupt, abusive, inept government lackeys and their corporate masters.  Go along to get along. "But what can we do?", whine the cowardly sheep.  This must change.  If it does not, we will permanently remain slaves.  Wake up.  Hear the rumble?  Don't like the rhetoric?  Tone?  Tough.  Leave the country.  Iran, Syria, North Korea, Russia, etc. may be far more suitable and more to your liking.
