Got
guts? Tired of being lied to? Like an alternative source of information
truly independent and free of government propaganda? Want this publication
to continue? Send a donation to P.O. Box 151, Buchanan Dam, Tx. 78609.
Publisher's Note: This publication receives
no financial support through advertising. Although shaken down, looted,
and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand
up. Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing
retribution. For this publication to survive, national readers need
to contribute. Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain
beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.
... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly
resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the
chagrin of many and delight of few. T.C. (5-7-13).
For new readers: Fascism,
nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government,
business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of
the latter.

Regarding expansion of Medicaid, exactly half the states have complied,
-- or in the process of complying. Twenty five refused, Texas one of them.
Consequently, millions will have no coverage and will supposedly not be
penalized by IRS. -- Remember, this expansion targets the lower middle
class. Not the poor.
Medicaid expansion stands currently at supposedly 4 million. Not
enrollees. ... Rather, those considered by the Regime to be eligible. Big
difference. Although there have been several lower estimates,
the former appears to be the most optimistic and favored by the President.
-- Obama and his minions are cherry picking, massaging data to sugar coat
what remains an abysmal roll out. Ignoring determined GOP effort
to stonewall each step of the way.
... Remember, there are approximately 40 to 50 million of us who have
no coverage. The web portal reportedly remains difficult and time
consuming. There is the possibility only those most in need of care
are signing up. The healthy and young appear not to be anywhere near
as eager or interested. We still don't know for sure, however, since
the President is unwilling to share all data. Why? Think hard. Harder.
-- If an insufficient number
of the young and healthy participate, the program will fail.
Devastating quirks remain within the law. Will likely become quite
troublesome for the President. Many are paying far more for coverage,
others less. No rhyme or reason. Reportedly, deductibles are
$3 to $4 thousand, -- for bronze
and silver plans.
... Might sound to many like catastrophic coverage, no? It's not.
Just an expensive complicated screwed up system that will likely cause
many to dump coverage. Penalty or not. This likely frightens
the President and his minions since, again, Obamacare would fail if not
enough people cooperate. ... That is, refuse to drop trou and take
the ungreased shaft. Willingly.
Precisely, why Mr. Obama and his minions refuse to release all data,
-- despite the fact they have
it. Got it by requiring highly personal information in order to get
coverage. Deliberate invasion of privacy as a condition of coverage
forced by law. Galling to all who treasure civil liberties and privacy.
Deliberately abrogated by this President and his henchmen.
Interestingly, smoking is considered a behavior, not
an addiction by the 'Affordable' 'Care' Act. What does this mean?
It allows insurance companies to gouge smokers for coverage. -- Despite
the fact many in the scientific community consider nicotine to be more
addictive than heroin. ... And the fact Obamacare offers free
smoking cessation programs. Nothing quite like hypocrisy is there?
Interestingly, some states are apparently not allowing insurance carriers
to so gouge. If true, good for them.
Greed reigns in the healthcare industry. Hospitals never get enough,
nor do doctors. Some physicians are cherry picking insurance and
turning their practices into concierge services. ... Only the rich
and federal legislators could afford such care. No problem for Senators
and Representatives, however, since at last check taxpayers are looted
some $9,000 annually for each legislator to cover their platinum plans.
... Nothing but the best for our royalty, no?
Hospital admissions are down while construction of new facilities is
up. Interesting, isn't it? Apparently, at least some are tacitly
refused admission to lower costs. Is that why many can spend ten
or fifteen hours in the ER? Only to be sent home? Then to return?
Is that why Obamacare is penalizing hospitals for return admissions for
the same problem or problems?
Think Llano Memorial Hospital (LMH) won't eventually close? Precisely,
why new facilities were built in Marble Falls years ago. To maximize profits.
While Scott and White runs this facility (LMH) and clinics for Llano County,
it will ultimately close. For financial reasons. The City of
Llano is centrally located within the County. Should this facility
(LMH) close, many will have to travel much further for care. A problem
for both the elderly and young.
The President assured the public Obamacare would facilitate less use
of the emergency room. Lower ER expenses. Not so, according to an
Oregon study conducted over an 18-month period. Those provided expanded
Medicaid coverage increased use of the emergency room. ... In direct
contradiction to what the President and his minions have been falsely claiming
for years. The study was supposedly well-conducted and considered
valid by experts. ... Double blind, random sample. Eighteen-month
duration. Well before
the roll out crisis.
Not surprisingly, reportedly there was a 40% increase in the use of
ERs, primary care, prescriptions, etc.. Why should this come as a
surprise? People are sheep. Demand to see a doctor for a pimple
on the ass. Want to be coddled not only by government, but a medical
system based on a phony belief providers are gods, not just mere technicians.
Patronizing, condescending in how 'services' are dispensed. Precisely,
why this publication uses the term "client" or "consumer" rather than the
more patronizing, condescending term "patient." This has to change.
If not, the system will ultimately collapse of its own weight, greed, arrogance,
and aggressive stupidity.
Even in the healthcare system, the Religious Right is still desperately
trying to force its beliefs on others. A group of nuns in Denver
has sued vis a vis having to provide employees birth control coverage as
mandated by Obamacare. First, this group will supposedly not have to provide
such coverage because of its religious affiliation. Second, nor will
its insurance carrier, supposedly, because of its
religious affiliation. -- This, according to the Department of Justice.
Apparently, the nuns don't want to sign exemption forms, consider even
that a violation of their religious freedom. A member of the Supreme
Court issued a temporary stay. Be interesting to see what the Supreme
Court ultimately decides when the matter finally reaches it.
What about the religious freedom of employees and their
right not to have their employer's religious beliefs forced
on them? Why should they have to seek employment elsewhere?
Have the nuns conveniently forgotten it is a privilege to provide health
services, not a right?
New fees have kicked in on insurance companies to finance Obamacare.
Some $8 billion this year, reportedly $100 billion in the next decade.
Think the hopelessly greedy insurance cartel won't pass it on to consumers?
A "re-insurance fee" to cover those with pre-existing conditions will also
be levied. Think the bastards won't pass that on as well? A
"risk adjustment program" fee is also in store to loot low risk customers
to offset those with high risk. Other taxes and levies will go into effect
as well. Rest assured. They'll all be passed on. ...
Forget? The American Way.
Again, the applicant numbers stated at the beginning of this edition
are just that. The Obama Regime has refused to disclose the number
who actually have insurance. Big
difference. -- Just because you enroll does not mean you have
insurance. Many will find out when they visit an ER or their physician.
Their coverage may not include their physician, either. Why shouldn't
they be able to see any provider
they want? Anywhere in the
country? What if they need specialized treatment only available in
certain institutions and facilities?
Mr. President? Why the duplicity? Just tell the truth.
Disclose accurate figures of those who have insurance. Do so now.
End the tap dance, the old soft shoe. It's unbecoming for a President
to lie, deceive the public. Conduct a dog and pony show. Think
the public's that stupid,
Mr. President?
Regarding statistics promulgated by the Obama Regime, again, the same
is true of expanded Medicaid numbers. They're just an estimate of those
the Regime believes to be eligible. Not
the actual enrollment. The President is either inept and does not
truly know. Or, he does know and fears the political consequences.
Not clear either how Obamacare will handle other ancillary services
most desperately need and seldom can afford. Examples? ... Dental
and optometric care. Interestingly, many other serious health issues
including arthritis may have their origins in untreated dental issues such
as chronic gum infection. Other problems such as diabetes, high blood
pressure, etc. can be discovered by optometrists.
While it is impossible to foresee the future, from all appearances at
this snapshot in time, Obamacare will likely remain a colossal failure.
Will suffocate under its own repressive weight. The healthcare industry
is hopelessly greedy. This law does absolutely nothing to rein in
such avarice. Nothing at all. Eviscerates privacy. Loots
those in the middle class least capable of paying. Leaves millions
without access to care too poor to qualify for the exchanges in the 25
states unwilling to expand Medicaid.
Sadly, a point will be reached when people desperately needing care
are denied. Will happen as surely as the sun rises each morning.
There will come a time where an already overloaded, corpulent, bloated
system just can't handle one more non-paying consumer. Precisely,
why so many facilities have already closed, -- despite the fact construction
of new facilities is up. Fascinating, isn't it?
Think a young husband with a sick child or a wife dying in labor as
a result of denied care won't take matters into his hands? That an unwanted,
dreaded revolution already catastrophically looming on the horizon won't
happen? Think GOP fascists won't feel enormous pressure to expand Medicare
to all as a last resort? Think they won't find a way to rein in the
hopeless, limitless greed of the healthcare industry? Including providers,
pharmaceutical houses, and all ancillary businesses even remotely healthcare-related?
We'll see, won't we?
*****************************************************************************************
Obamacare.
Three months out. Where do things stand? Difficult to parse.
Figures remain contradictory, incomplete. The Obama Regime reports 2.1
million have signed up to date. Supposedly, 975,000 during December.
The goal was 11 million by end of March. Now, reduced reportedly
to somewhere less than 7 million, -- and dropping.
Republicans promise to increase 'security' on the Obamacare web portal
when they return from a month-long break. Aren't we lucky? Truly
blessed? Would you believe this law does not mandate disclosure of
security breaches? Leaves it up to government agencies. ... Sleep
easier tonight knowing both political parties are looking out for your
'best' interests?
Shouldn't they be able to access the best treatment available?
As the rich and federal legislators?
