Liberty In Peril

The Llano Ledger

This publication has been in suspension since March 2003 for reasons explained on the Home Page.  Much has happened in the United States, as well as the rest of the world, since the last edition.  ... Sadly, most of it disturbing.  Much of it achingly heartbreaking.

Got guts? Tired of being lied to? Like an alternative source of information truly independent and free of government propaganda? Want this publication to continue? Send a donation to P.O. Box 151, Buchanan Dam, Tx. 78609.

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

AUMF.   ... Know what that stands for?  Authorization for Use of Military Force.  Still don't quite understand? Many, if not most, Americans have absolutely no clue how revolutionary this measure was, and certainly remains  This is the Congressional resolution passed September 14, 2001.  Three days after the 9/11 catastrophe.  Rushed as it was after thousands of our fellow citizens were killed, it was not carefully considered.  Not surprisingly, emotion ruled the day. Certainly, not good judgment.  No consideration of long-term consequences.  Consequences, we're still living with to this very day, -- establishment and implementation of a fascist police-state falsely in the name of "national 'security,'" NSA warrantless spying on innocent American citizens, egregious deliberate violation of international law. To name a few of the most salient.

The latter, however, once again reared its ugly head two weekends ago.  U.S. Navy SEALS unsuccessfully launched a raid in Somalia, only to be driven back after encountering ferocious resistance.  Not to be outdone at the time, U.S. Special Operations personnel successfully violated Libyan national sovereignty, captured, that is abducted, kidnapped a Libyan national indicted in New York for alleged terrorist activity some 15 years ago.  Overseas embassy bombings.

The issue is not guilt or innocence of the alleged terrorists recently targeted by American forces.  Rather, it is determined, intentional extension of U.S. sovereignty across the globe.  Unchecked violation of the sovereignty of other nations.  Implementation of perverse American "exceptionalism."  Particularly, the faulty abject phony assertion  we are the only country with a judicial system fully capable of inflicting justice on foreign perpetrators of terrorism.

Sadly, tragically, catastrophically, the direct opposite is true.  Justice no longer exists in the fascist police-state we now live in.  The courts are kangaroo.  'Judges' dictate to defendants what is and is not 'proper' defense.  What can and cannot be introduced as evidence.  Consequently, juries are not allowed to fully consider the guilt or innocence of the accused.  The 'judge' is no more than a rubber stamp for prosecutors and law enforcement.  There is no impartiality. None.  Precisely, why plea bargains accepted by innocent defendants remain ubiquitous and advised by defense attorneys more interested in lining their pockets and playing the game than seeing to it their clients receive justice.

All the above, precisely why the President and his henchmen launch these raids, egregiously violate national sovereignty of other countries.  We're Americans.  We do as we please.  Impose our will.  Couldn't care less the ramifications of our actions doing so.  What happened in Somalia and Libya recently will increase terror.  Not decrease it.  Not solve the problem.  Quite the opposite.  The next few weeks and months will certainly tell.  Already, the rumble overseas regarding the two latest examples is growing.  Not only is terror far from being defeated as evidenced by continued attacks all over the world, we simply have no clue as to why and how other countries react to our deliberate infringement of their national sovereignty.  None.  Painfully, ignorant.  Deliberately, so.  Determined, Aryan arrogance.

Got a question.  A question, we as Americans must carefully consider.  Fully, honestly answer.  For the sake of argument, let's use ongoing extremely pointed Pakistani objection to the killing and abduction of bin Laden's body by U.S. Navy SEALS a couple of years ago.  While American forces are rightfully careful not to disclose the identity of military personnel involved and their families for security reasons, what if Pakistani intelligence officials at some point are able to determine the identity of the person who pulled the trigger and killed bin Laden?

Worse?  What if they manage to abduct that soldier on American soil and remove him from our country?  While highly unlikely if not impossible, again for the sake of argument, what if they were able to do this?   What would our reaction be?  Our national sovereignty, egregiously violated.  A hero to many, if not most of us abducted, kidnapped.  ... Despite the fact bin Laden offered no resistance, could and should have been taken alive, transported to New York for trial.
... What used to be the American Way.  ... Clearly, no longer.  Again, what would our reaction be?  What???

Pakistan, under such circumstances, would not be bombed?  An invasion would not subsequently occur? Wake up. Human nature is human nature.  While we certainly do not understand the culture of our enemies or their motives, there are some universal beliefs we all have in common.  One of them, certainly, is supremacy of national sovereignty.  A concept, as Americans, we arrogantly ignore at our peril.  Precisely, why terror remains prevalent and a cancer we will not soon eradicate.  Sadly, so.  Yet, the dolts in Washington and the public at large, simply can't grasp that reality.

The Libyan national is aboard a Navy ship.  Will remain so for at least several weeks, reportedly.  'Interrogated.'  The jackass currently warming the seat in the Oval Office assures us torture is no longer imposed during 'interrogation.' Despite all pressure and tactics used both physical and psychological, what if he refuses to talk, cooperate?  What then?  Waterboarding?  Other abuse, carefully designed to force cooperation?  As a nation, we've lost our way. Have clearly forgotten the ends don't justify the means.  Consequently, how are we truly any different than our enemies? While we certainly don't decapitate, we do abuse and wantonly kill.  Only a small fraction of which makes it to the light of day.  All falsely in the name of "national 'security.'"

If the Libyan does talk, prosecutors can't regurgitate that information directly in court.  They will certainly use it, however, to point them to other sources that will.  A clever runaround the law and Constitution.  Protections even a foreign national is entitled to in Nazi America.  The Right certainly does not think so.  ... We're Americans, aren't we?Might makes right. Indeed, we're God's chosen.  Anything goes.  With God's blessing we do no wrong. Right?  A raucous, bootclicking, goosestepping, cowardly, traitorous, treasonous Sieg Heil!?

... One undisputed fact the Nazi Right clearly, stupidly ignores?  If any defendant can be denied full constitutional rights and liberties, anyone at all, guess who's next?
