Liberty In Peril

This publication has been in suspension since March 2003 for reasons explained on the Home Page.  Much has happened in the United States, as well as the rest of the world, since the last edition.  ... Sadly, most of it disturbing.  Much of it achingly heartbreaking.

Got guts? Tired of being lied to? Like an alternative source of information truly independent and free of government propaganda? Want this publication to continue? Send a donation to P.O. Box 151, Buchanan Dam, Tx. 78609.

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (5-7-13).

For new readers:  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion. 'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, in interest of alacrity, extremely limited time currently, this, an abridged version of the usual Newsletter Text.  No bells and whistles:

The President remains under intense scrutiny.  Republicans rightfully, extremely critical.  With damned good reason.  Some things never change.  Savvy long-term readers, however, remember remarkably similar criticism of "Slick Willy" Clinton and ole' George "The Tush" Bush.

Democrat.  Republican.  Makes no difference.  They're virtually the same.  -- At least tactics, strategy. Now, a Democrat remains under intense scrutiny.  Without question, the criticism
is justified.  Obama is behaving remarkably similar to ole' "Tricky Dick" Nixon.  Abusing power.

In the interest of honesty, candor, and brutal full disclosure, this writer did vote for the President, --
first term.  The alternative, John McCain, the greater of two evils.  ... Not to say the latter was not intensely admired for having endured six years of outrageous torture and abuse at the Hanoi Hilton all those years ago.  As did his fellow prisoners.

At one time, this writer would have voted for McCain.  Torture and abuse seem to have effected his judgment, however.  Made him too willing to go to war.  Too much, a hawk.  Precisely, why Obama received my vote.  -- As well as the fact he was to be the first black President.

... Certainly, about time in our still extremely bigoted country.  And, despite the fact Obama supported both the USA 'Patriot' Act and domestic electronic spying by NSA.  Latter, allegedly, only on those communicating with foreigners.  What a goddamned mistake.

Didn't repeat it last fall, however, having voted Libertarian.  -- Never a good idea to vote for the best of the worst.  Lesser of two evils.  Sadly, however, that's all we're afforded now.  Wasn't happy about the Libertarian, either.  Had seriously considered not voting at all.  No viable choices any longer.

Republican criticism of the President, although justified, is achingly disingenuous.  Readers are reminded these very same Republicans voted to remove desperately-needed restrictions on the Executive imposed by Congress after the Watergate fiasco.  To empower ole' George "The Tush" after 9/11.  As a country, we lost our
cajones that horrible day.

Gave a national socialist 'President' carte blanch.  To do as he pleased.  He did.  Went to war in Iraq under egregiously false pretenses.  Tortured in both theaters as well as elsewhere throughout the world.  Rendition.  Remember?  Without a declaration of war as required by the Constitution, he and his successor, the current jackass occupying the Oval Office, indeed, took the 'war' worldwide.

No respect for national sovereignty.  None at all.  After all, we're Americans.  We do as we please. Although a nation of many religions, and in some cases none at all, the allegedly Christian Fascist Right falsely claims we're a
Christian nation, backed by God to do as we please.  Abject, unadulterated bullsh-t.  ... They speak for the Creator?  Don't think so.

Messianic zeal remains appalling, -- egregiously hypocritical.  Not to say, however, they're always wrong or don't have a point.  Example?  Sen. John Cornyn.  The Senator has recently been quite pointed in his criticism of the jackass currently occupying the Oval Office.  Again, rightfully so.

The hypocrisy, however,
reeks.  Sen. Cornyn opines in a 5-22-13 editorial:

"Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.  Our founders pointed out in the Federalist Papers and elsewhere that a concentration of power in the hands of a few is the very definition of tyranny."

Exactly.  He's right.  What he conveniently forgets, neglects to mention, however, is the fact he's guilty of doing precisely the same.  Did so as Texas Supreme Court 'Justice.'  Certainly, did so as Texas Attorney General when he repeatedly refused to enforce the Public Information Act.  -- Numerous complaints filed by this publication as documented in earlier Newsletter Editions. Neglected to do his duty.  Why?  To protect his corporate masters and their lackeys in government.  Certainly, continues to do so as U.S. Senator to this very day.  Disgracefully, so.

The Senator continues to opine:

"And we've learned from hard experience over the course of our nation's history that when government thinks it knows best, particularly here in Washington in a country as big and diverse as ours is, that the natural tendency then in Washington is to try to suppress the voices of those who see things differently."

No kidding, Senator.  Isn't that precisely what
you did as Texas Attorney General to this publication, sir?  Isn't that exactly why you support post-9/11 legislation cleverly designed to eviscerate civil and constitutional rights and liberties?  Removed post-Watergate laws designed to rein in Executive power?  Called hypocrisy, John.  As long as you line your pockets and those of your corporate masters, no problem, right, Senator?  Removal of these laws certainly facilitated the corrupt and abusive jackass currently occupying the White House and his henchmen in IRS.  To do as they please. Right, Senator?

The Senator further rightfully remarks:

"... it appears that the birds have come home to roost, that the founders warned us about, the concentration of government power invariably leads to abuse of that power and it's the same old story
of human frailties over and over again."

Again, exactly, right, Senator.  Indeed, a repeat of history perpetrated by Nixon, Reagan, Bush "The First," Clinton, Bush "The Tush," and now, Obama.  Nothing ever changes, John, because
both parties want no change.  Wish to maintain the unworkable, unwanted, disastrous status quo.  For abject, narrow, self-centered political interests of the bastards in Washington who falsely believe they run and own our formerly great country.  A raucous Sieg Heil!, Senator?

Cornyn further insanely states:

"If we will try to work hard to regain the public's credibility and we will simply do our work and respect the wisdom of the ages when it comes to concentration of power and its impact on individual liberty, and the temptation when power is absolute to see that power corrupted and abuse that power when it comes in dealing with the American people."

Despite have read this paragraph repeatedly, have absolutely no clue what he's really trying to say, here.
Do you?

Cornyn further claims:

"Unfortunately, so far the Obama Administration has valued its agenda more than its credibility. Without regaining credibility, we will never regain the public's trust, and without that trust, it will be much, much harder to solve America's biggest problems."

The trust is
gone, Senator.  It's beside the point, anyway, John.  All 535 of you truly worthless pieces of crap in Congress don't want to solve problems.  Not at all.  The last ten years, particularly, are proof positive.  All 535 princes and princesses only wish to do their corporate masters' bidding, thus lining their pockets at expense of the American people.  ... Whom you certainly couldn't care less about, right, Senator?  Despite pious, phony claims to the contrary.

In a 5-21-13 editorial, the Senator unequivocally states:

"As someone who has spent a career in public service, I want government to work."

That's
precisely the problem, Senator.  "A career in public service."  You've been there far, far too long.  It's not public service.  It's 'service,' that is, enslavement to your corporate masters, John.  The bastards who line your pockets, Senator.  You do not serve your constituents, ordinary people.  Not at all.  Fortunately, an increasingly number of them are beginning to realize this fact.  You're beholden to the ubiquitous corporate management suite.  Your masters.

Cornyn falsely states:

"As a conservative, I want government to be as small and efficient as possible."

No you don't, John.  You continuously line the pockets of war profiteers in the corporate community with endless increases in defense spending.  Support endless wars that engorge corporate coffers at expense of military personnel fighting and dying to line your pockets and those of your corporate masters.  Falsely, invoke 'patriotism' to excuse this abject rape of taxpayers and the personnel doing the fighting and dying.

You're no
conservative, Senator.  Barry Goldwater was a conservative.  You're no Barry Goldwater, John.  As fellow modern day Republicans, you've embraced Ayn Rand Atlas Shrugged national socialism.  Fascism, nazism, national socialism defined as the pernicious blend of government, business, and religion.  'Justified' by perversion and bastardization of the latter.

Cornyn opines:

"As an American, I cannot tolerate a government that actively deceives the people it is meant to serve, whether through negligence, incompetence, or malfeasance."

Isn't that
precisely what you did as Texas Supreme Court 'Justice,' Texas Attorney General, and now, as United States Senator?  Your galling words betray you, John.  Hopelessly, phony.  Achingly, disingenuous.

The Senator goes on to rightfully state:

"Indeed, whether the issue is a terrorist attack in Libya, partisan abuses by IRS agents, a potentially illegal effort to shake down healthcare providers, or a questionably broad investigation by the nation's top law-enforcement agency, this self-styled 'most transparent administration in history' has consistently put politics ahead of truth, justice, and the rule of law."

Again, he's
right.  Only problem?  The same can be said of himself and his Republican compadres. Conveniently forget Nixon, Reagan, Bush "The First," as well as Bush "The Tush," Senator?  Hypocrisy reeks, John.  Wake up, Senator.

Further enlightenment:

"Perhaps even more alarming is the total lack of responsibility assumed by the president.  Americans have caught their government in multiple lies, and President Obama's response has been a symphony of obfuscation, misdirection, and denial.  At every turn, the president and his deputies have chosen not to be straightforward with the American people, and as a result they have seriously undermined both their credibility and their trustworthiness."

Ferociously pointedly, Senator, the very same can and was truthfully said about Nixon, Reagan, Clinton, Bush "The First," Bush "The Second."  The
hypocrisy, convenient memory loss, stunning. Unbecoming a United States Senator.  Where have you been, John?  Where?  As most of the rest of us, you endured the aforementioned bastards and their foibles.

The Senator concludes:

"Is this America or China?  Any one of these issues is a 'scandal.'  Together they reflect an administration that is deeply flawed and has lost the faith of the public it is sworn to protect."

Wake up, John.  It's
Nazi America.  Not China. ... You don't know that?  Courtesy of both parties. Increasingly, fascist.  Particularly, Republicans.  It's the pernicious embrace of national socialism, Senator.  A problem, a cancer we, as a nation, have been dancing with since well before the Second World War.

You, Senator, are "deeply flawed."  You and your compadres, both parties, have lost the "faith" of the American people.  Stupidly, selfishly, greedily forfeited it.  Wake up.  You've repeatedly and egregiously abrogated your oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution.  Not for "national 'security,'" as falsely claimed. To consolidate Executive power and establish a fascist police-state beholden to your corporate masters.  Nazi America.  A raucous, bootclicking, goosestepping, traitorous, treasonous Sieg Heil!?

Freedom?  You haven't a clue.  It's certainly not forcing a woman to endure an unwanted, medically unnecessary trans vaginal ultrasound to have a legal, constitutionally-provided for abortion.  This amounts to our nazi 'legislature' practicing medicine without a license.  Forcing an unwilling doctor to perform a medically unnecessary procedure that amounts to sexual assault.  In order to get a legal abortion.  Again: ... Endure what amounts to sexual assault by her physician.  Forced by the nazi bastards in Austin who falsely believe they know what's best for the 'lil lady.'  Scum bags.  Nazi America.

Why aren't you nazis on the Right who support this outrageous bullsh-t required to undergo a digital rectal exam, prostate ultrasound, and a stress test
before prescribed Viagra?  Bottoms up, Senator.  If it's good enough for women, why isn't it good enough for the boys who insist on dictating to the 'lil woman' what she can and cannot do with her uterus?

Patronizing, condescending, hopelessly sexist, Neanderthal nazis.  An egregious embarrassment to the rest of us who are not.  Ferociously pointedly,
can't get it up?  Yet, you dictate to a woman what she can and cannot do with her uterus?  In order to get an abortion, require her to endure what amounts to sexual assault by her doctor?  To impose your sick, insane 'religious' views on the rest of us?

Freedom?  What's that?  Certainly, non-existent for women.  -- Other than to cross their legs and refuse sex to the nazi bastards who perversely insist on repressing them.  Falsely, vainly, using religion, the Bible, and the name of God to impose their beliefs on all.  Nazi America.

Other than to you truly perverse nazis, a woman's right to do with
her uterus as she damn well pleases trumps any rights you wish to afford the unborn.  To callously impose your perverse religious views on all.  After all, you have absolutely no problem supporting and fighting killing wars to line the coffers of your war profiteering corporate masters, do you, Senator?  A war in Iraq that certainly was not justified.  Remember?

Certainly, have no problems executing prisoners at least some of whom are innocent.  Cowardly, look the other way when law enforcement goons wantonly, unnecessarily kill.  Including here, in Llano County.  No problem,
right, Senator?  As long as you continue to line your pockets and those of your corporate masters.

Freedom?  You wouldn't know freedom if it bit you hard on the ass.  It's certainly not lining your pockets doing the bidding of your corporate masters.  Betraying your constituents, ordinary people. The people who take the ungreased shaft.  As you laugh your financially-portly ass off all the way to the bank.  After properly giving thanks to the Lord each Sunday on bended knee for your good fortune.  Shamelessly looted from the bottom and middle class.

Class envy?  Hell, no.  Egregious class injustice in
Nazi America.  Still can't hear the rumble, Senator?  ... An unwanted, dreaded second American revolution catastrophically looming on the horizon.  No question, Senator, you remain poster boy for term limits.  The masses have and continue to egregiously suffer at your hands, those of your equally corrupt and abusive compadres in Congress, as well as your corporate masters who truly own your sorry ass hook, line, and sinker.

... As well as the pathetic sorry asses of their employees, no more than human chattel.  Insult to injury?  The corporate management suite perversely, falsely believes it owns the asses of
all the American people.  They certainly don't own this writer's ass.  And at least some of you who are reading this publication.  This systemic cancer, however, is overtaking our formerly great country. A raucous Sieg Heil!, John? Wake up, Senator.  Nazism remains unbecoming a United States Senator.

... Sorry, readers.  Believe it or not, this Newsletter Edition was originally intended to
briefly concentrate on Obama's recent disingenuous speech at National Defense University regarding necessary pending changes in the terror fight.  In addition, exposure of increasing war profiteering by the corporate management suite in our formerly great country.  Never got there.  Turned out there was too much to address in the Cornyn editorials.  ... Patience.
