Enemy Responds To "Surge" With Surge Itself May 5, 2007
Not surprisingly, the enemy in Iraq has clearly responded to Bush's "surge" in Iraq with a surge of its own. What did the "President" expect? Did he really think insurgents would roll over and capitulate? The situation in Iraq continues to deteriorate. Yet, Mr. Bush and his henchmen claim quite the opposite, -- since they no longer count car bombing casualties in their casualty figures and/or as a measure of enemy activity. In the perverse world of the fascist element in our once great country reality is delusion, delusion is reality, and sense is nonsense. ... Aren't we lucky?
Army soldiers and Marines in Iraq were recently polled regarding their views of Iraqi citizens and their treatment of them. Reportedly, approximately 10% of soldiers and Marines admit they've abused Iraqi nationals. Less than half admitted they would indeed report such activity to commanders. Approximately 47% of soldiers and 38% of Marines polled said non-combatants should be shown respect. Most disturbingly, approximately at least a third support torture.
Gen. Patraeus was so alarmed by the findings he ordered additional training. ... Aren't they supposed to get such instruction shortly after enlistment? Senior military officers are appalled since such views and abusive activity destroy foreign support of American military action, not only in Iraq, but elsewhere.
Worse,
the enemy will use such
abusive activity by U.S. military personnel as an excuse to torture
and/or
abuse Americans captured on the battlefield. Military brass
also
understand information retrieved from abuse and/or torture is virtually
worthless since torture victims tell "interrogators" only what they
want
to hear. Then again, wouldn't want to confuse the Fascist
Right in
our formerly great country with the truth, would we?
Los Angeles police apparently have an infinitely steep learning curve. ... One they seemingly have no chance of ever successfully climbing. See the video of LA's "finest" criminally assaulting immigration protesters in McArthur Park? When will such thugs, authorized to wear a badge and carry a gun, be prosecuted for such crimes?
Sadly,
similar behavior four decades
ago led to the murder of innocent police officers, -- officers who had
absolutely nothing to do with such
behavior. Think history
doesn't repeat itself? Just as importantly, how
do honest
citizens distinguish criminal officers from the criminal element they
supposedly
target?
Mr.
Bush vetoed the war spending
bill since it contained provisions for beginning of troop withdrawal
from
Iraq. Clearly, ole' George "The Tush" does not believe
elections
have consequences. Intends to do as he pleases, -- regardless
of
the will of the American public.
The
Bush "Administration" continues
to deny attorneys access to "detainees" and the classified material
used
to charge them. When allowed access, they're not permitted to
discuss
such "evidence" with their clients. -- Nazi America,
where
day is night, night is day, and manure smells perversely sweet.
Literally,
millions in foreign
aid offered to Hurricane Katrina survivors were refused or squandered
by
the Bush "Administration." To date, victims of this extremely
vicious
storm are currently living in squalor and desperate need nearly two
years
after the catastrophe. ... Making refusal and/or squandering
of foreign
aid by Mr. Bush particularly despicable. Where are
congressional
investigations?
For approximately three years, the Bush "Administration" cowardly and falsely laid the blame for launching the invasion of Iraq under false pretenses on former CIA Director George Tenet. Readers will recall Mr. Tenet supposedly assured the "President" the existence of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction a "slam dunk." Fascinating, isn't it?
Finally, in a book titled At The Center Of The Storm, Tenet came out swinging. ... Amusingly exposing "Vice President" "Slick Dick" Cheney and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on their handling of Iraq and 9/11. Be interesting to see if his allegations stand.
... At the very least with former "Administration" officials so willing to publicly criticize the "President" and his henchmen, only a matter of time before the truth finally comes out. Certainly, hope so. Then again, Mr. Tenet does not view "enhanced interrogation techniques" as torture, -- again placing his credibility in question.
In
a Sixty Minutes interview
ole' George was indeed agitated, manic. Worse, he was
amusingly combative,
intimidating, arrogant, abusive, and overly emotional. Still,
it
will be most interesting to see if his allegations hold water.
Defying
the "President," the Senate
joined the House and passed an Iraq spending bill that includes troop
withdrawal
requirements. Mr. Bush has repeatedly claimed he will veto
the bill.
Former
New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani
claims only Republicans can protect the American people against another
September 11th attack. ... Seems ole' Rudy has his head so
far up
his ass his eyeballs are turning inside out. -- As well as
his "judgment."
Mr. Giuliani is a product of a Jesuit education. Readers are
well-advised
such individuals proceed with life in one of two ways: the path of
Right
Wing fascism or conversely, the embrace of freedom, i.e.
liberty.
As this writer clearly knows from experience, there is no middle
ground.
Sadly, ole' Rudy's obliteration of the Bill of Rights while Mayor in
"cleaning
up" the City is proof positive of his predilection.
U.S.
Army Sgt. Jim Wilt and his
fellow soldiers place their lives at risk everyday in
Afghanistan.
Responding to the order of the "President" to fly the Flag at half mast
in tribute to Virginia Tech students and professors killed recently by
a madman, the good sergeant rightfully asks why the Flag is not
similarly
flown for military personnel killed in action. Good question.
Former
Army soldier Bryan O'Neil
told Congress he was ordered by a superior officer not to tell the
truth
about Army Ranger Pat Tillman's death from friendly fire.
Readers
will recall Tillman was the former NFL star who turned down millions to
enlist and was falsely awarded the Silver Star for actions on the
battlefield
that did not occur. ... This is no reflection on Mr. Tillman,
however,
who indeed died tragically at the hands of his buddies, but rather on
the
military establishment that falsely created a "hero" that did not
exist.
All in the name of phony propaganda.
Amusingly,
Democratic presidential
candidate Cong. Dennis Kocinich filed three articles of impeachment
against
"Vice President" "Slick Dick" Cheney. ... Fascinating, isn't
it?
More importantly, why haven't both Bush and Cheney been impeached four
years
ago?
The
following is a series of unedited
email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and
this
writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year
ago.
To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been
received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint
filed.
Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues,
-- or is wildly incompetent. You decide. ACLU-Criminal
