Working
definition of fascism
for new readers? An abusive and dangerous oligarchy based on a
pernicious
blend of government, big business, and religion. ... A boot-heel
cynically
placed on the throat of the masses, justified in principle by
perversion
and bastardization of religion.

Distorting Reality April 23, 2007
The "President" has dug in his heels regarding Iraq. Sadly, Democrats have displayed little courage, cowardly refusing to cut off all funding for the war.
Earlier in the week, Senate Majority Leader Reid declared the war lost, then cowardly qualified the remark the next day adding, -- should the "Commander In Chief" not change course. Certainly, set off a fire storm from the Fascist Right. Seems "conservatives" believe Sen. Reid's comments to be traitorous.
... Hey, boys? The war in Iraq was launched under outrageously false pretenses. For blatantly political purposes by a "President" far more interested in personal ambition than cold reality. -- To say nothing of the best interests of the United States and our military. Precisely, why the war had no chance of success from the beginning. Compounding the problem were four years of repeated mistakes, failure to appreciate the tenacity of the enemy, and blatant ignorance of Iraqi culture and values.
Today, our young and brightest continue to die or be maimed for the cowardly corrupt and abusive ass of the "President" of the United States. Democrats appear willing to allow the fiasco to continue for sake of political expediency, -- clearly wishing Republican fascists to maintain "ownership" of the war.
In a hastily-called press conference, Mr. Bush quickly refuted Sen. Reid, disingenuously and falsely claiming the direction of fighting to be positively changing as a result of the "surge." ... Despite the fact the bombing in Baghdad over the last three days is the worst since the "surge" began and violence is spreading throughout the country. Worse, over 500 Iraqis have been killed this week. -- Then again, never confuse a fascist with the truth.
Earlier this week, the U.S. Supreme Court, 5-4, ruled the ban on "partial-birth" abortion "constitutional." -- Despite the fact no exceptions were made for the health of the mother. ... Claiming the ban does not interfere with a woman's right to abortion. Sadly, in the double-speak world of the Fascist Right, day is night, night is day, and manure smells perversely sweet.
Bush appointees Alito and Roberts finally swung the Court even further to the Right, allowing this atrocious ruling. ... A ruling, impossible just a short time ago. Sadly, Alito, Roberts, Kennedy, Scalia, and Thomas successfully "legislated" their exceptionally perverse personal "religious" views from the bench. Tragically, at the expense of liberty and the right of women to do as they damn well please with their uterus. In Nazi America. ... Whatever the hell happened to freedom?
In
a remarkably related matter,
Austin Baby Emilio remains on life support and has at least until a May
8 court hearing to live. Seton desperately wants to deny the
hopelessly
impaired baby extremely expensive care. Due to a bill signed
into
state law by "President" Bush while Governor of Texas, hospital ethics
boards get to decide, -- not parents or family members.
Convenient
for business, no? ... So much for family values,
right? Where
is the Fascist Right, especially pro-lifers desperate to dictate to
women
what they can and can't do with their uterus? Their silence
on this
issue is deafening and exceptionally hypocritical.
Sadly earlier this week, 32 Virginia Tech students and faculty members were killed by South Korean alien resident Cho Seung-Hui before he turned the gun on himself. Inexplicably, Cho had been held earlier for mental evaluation and been released, deemed to be no threat. When will we do better?
Seems
Mr. Cho had a history of
being bullied. While certainly no excuse, there is always
a reason for such appalling behavior. Unless the causes of
egregiously
aberrant criminal activity are understood, there is no hope of
preventing
such incidents in the future.
U.S.
Attorney General Alberto
Gonzalez, grilled before Congress earlier in the week regarding the
firing
of eight U.S. attorneys, more than seventy times claimed he couldn't
recall
when questioned by senators. Yet, the "President" remains
solidly
behind his outrageously fascist side-kick and good close friend.
"President"
Bush is increasingly
using military troops or the families of lost soldiers as a back drop
during
hastily-called news conferences and impromptu speeches to secure
renewed
"emergency" spending for the Iraq War. -- And his demand for
no withdrawal
dates or constraints on his authority to continue the
carnage. Fascinating,
isn't it? Latest example? ... A speech in front of
families
of soldiers killed in action. The fascist occupying the Oval
Office
even had the moxy to hypocritically criticize Democrats for
politicizing
the war and urged them to provide a war-funding bill he could sign
without
conditions. -- Nothing quite like the pot calling the kettle
black.
Who'd
a' 'thunk' it? Apparently,
approximately five million emails are supposedly missing in the Bush
"Administration."
Some, reportedly, are being recovered forensically. Many are
believed
to be those of Karl Rove and other top Bush staffers.
Fascinating,
isn't it? The story broke recently during Congressional
investigations
of corruption and abuse in the White House.
The
Bush "Administration" spends
millions desperately trying to impose the "President's" perverse
"religious"
views. Amusingly, a recent study found abstinence programs
grossly
ineffective. -- Abstinence program participants have sex
before marriage
as early as non-participants. ... Again, who'd a' 'thunk'
it?
-- Never confuse a fascist with the truth.
For approximately forty years, shock jock Don Imus insulted and cruelly ridiculed nearly everyone, including his wife. Finally, Mr. Imus got his. After outrageous racial remarks regarding the Rutgers women's basketball team, he was fired from CBS and the simulcast on MSNBC. Tough, isn't it?
Finally,
all charges have been
dropped against Duke Lacrosse players falsely accused of raping an
exotic
dancer. Yet, the outrageously corrupt and abusive prosecutor
will
not apparently be charged. Nor, the dancer. ... As
American
as Mom and apple pie, no?
A
high-ranking Gonzales lieutenant
resigned from the "Justice" Department. Readers will recall
Ms. Goodling
earlier announced she would plead the Fifth rather than answer
questions
before Congressional hearings investigating the firing of eight U.S.
attorneys.
Interestingly, Ms. Goodling, in her early thirties, is a young
"conservative"
in the best tradition of the Fascist Right and Pat Robertson school of
thought. ... Seems curious, however, she would so willingly
evade
personal responsibility by refusing to answer congressional
questions.
Nothing quite like oh-so-convenient hypocrisy, is there?
Interestingly,
the U.S. Supreme
Court ruled the Bush "Administration" indeed has the authority and must
regulate carbon dioxide emissions. Seems the usually big
business-friendly
high court has finally gotten on the global warming bandwagon.
In the finest tradition of Adolph Hitler and Benito Mussolini, Bush and his equally fascist henchmen are proceeding with military tribunals for "detainees" imprisoned nearly six years at Guantanamo Bay. David Hicks, an Australian held five years at Gitmo, has pled "guilty" to a terrorism charge. He will do another two years in an Australian prison.
To escape torture and abuse conducted and excused in the name of "intelligence" gathering, he was forced to sign an Orwellian "double-speak" statement claiming he had not been tortured. ... Convenient, isn't it? Amusingly, the Australian prime minister also claimed Hicks had to have been guilty since he pled guilty. Nothing quite like Alice In Wonderland, no?
Another
Muslim prisoner claimed
to have been repeatedly tortured. The report was redacted by
the
military, however, to protect its "methods" of interrogation and
"intelligence"
gathering. ... In Nazi America.
The
following is a series of unedited
email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and
this
writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year
ago.
To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been
received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint
filed.
Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues,
-- or is wildly incompetent. You decide. ACLU-Criminal
