Sadly, most of it disturbing.  Until return to online publication, the format will remain as follows.    T.C. February 26, 2007

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (2-26-07).

Britain Announces Troop Withdrawal From Iraq February 21, 2007

Things are not going well in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Al-Qaeda is clearly recovering, re-grouping, and growing in Afghanistan.  So is the Taliban.  The level of fighting is the highest it's been since the American invasion.  Currently, there are approximately 27,000 U.S. troops there and the "President" intends to send more.

In Iraq, the situation is worse.  British Prime Minister Tony Blair, under investigation and intense domestic pressure, has announced Britain will remove 1,600 troops the next few weeks.
... Another 1,500 by Christmas.  The rest by the end of 2008.  Denmark will remove its 460 fighting men by August.  Lithuania is considering removing its troops.  -- So much for the so-called "Coalition of the Willing."

The "President" and his henchmen have falsely and disingenuously dismissed the withdrawal as an "indication of success."  Despite the fact, seven U.S. helicopters have been shot down in the last few weeks and American casualties are increasing.  Sadly, in the perverse world of Mr. Bush, day is night, night is day, and manure smells sweet.

"Detainees" Have No Right To Courts Says Washington Appeals Court February 20, 2007

The Bush "Administration" won a "victory" when a Washington appeals court ruled "detainees" have no right to access the court system.  The case now goes to the U.S. Supreme Court.  Should the Supreme Court rubber stamp the Bush "Administration," who's next?  ... Anyone who criticizes the amusingly incompetent and outrageously corrupt and abusive Nazi occupying the Oval Office?

U.S. Supreme Court Throws Out Big Tobacco Judgment February 20, 2007

In a narrow 5-4 decision, the United States Supreme Court threw out an $80 million judgment against Philip Morris.  Recent Bush appointees Chief "Justice" Roberts and Associate "Justice" Alito led the charge.  Interestingly, Thomas and Scalia dissented.  Especially fascinating, however, since the apparent intention of the Court is to nearly always support big business no matter the level of damage to their victims.

Government Pressured To Disclose Padilla Torture Treatment  February 19, 2007

Jose Padilla, an American citizen, was arrested in Chicago and held as an "enemy combatant" for three and a half years in a military brig, -- without benefit of counsel and access to the courts.  After years of litigation, a federal judge ordered prosecutors to produce prison officials so they may be questioned regarding alleged abuse and torture.  ... This, despite the fact federal prosecutors offered to suppress any "evidence" obtained from Padilla during "interrogation."  Fascinating, isn't it?

All this, part of a competency hearing regarding Padilla's fitness for trial.  Padilla claims to have been tortured and injected with LSD.  Interestingly, has not been charged with any of the original allegations against him, -- including being a "dirty bomber."  Amusingly, Padilla has been indicted on "conspiracy to kill overseas."  -- Whatever the hell that means.  Then again, this is Nazi America, where anything goes.

ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions

The following is a series of unedited email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and this writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year ago.  To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint filed.  Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues, -- or is wildly incompetent.  You decide.  ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions
