Sadly, most of it disturbing.  Until return to online publication, the format will remain as follows.    T.C. January 15, 2007

Publisher's Note: This publication receives no financial support through advertising.  Although shaken down, looted, and abused by corrupt government, area businesses remain unwilling to stand up.  Locals are too gutless to donate financially, cowardly fearing retribution.  For this publication to survive, national readers need to contribute.  Liberty In Peril is, has been, and will always remain beholden to NO ONE. -- Precisely why there is no financial assistance.  ... From day of launch and certainly a no-brainer to this very day, firmly resolved to walk away first rather than compromise principle. -- To the chagrin of many and delight of few.    T.C. (1-15-07).

"Moving Forward" Bush Iraq Speech January 10, 2007

The "President" wasted 20 minutes of television time to announce "changes" in Iraq policy no more than recycled "stay the course."  Twice earlier last year, Mr. Bush tried a troop surge to no avail.  Sadly, the level of violence increased.

Mr. Bush claims a 21,500 troop surge this time will be different for two reasons.  First, troops will hold cleared areas.  Second, our forces will have the green light to go into any neighborhood they choose without restriction.

The "President" also claimed Iraq policy to date has not been successful because there have not been enough troops from day one.  ... Amazing, isn't it?  Sadly, Mr. Bush remains delusional and incapable, however, of discerning reality.  -- A war launched under false pretenses has little to no chance of success no matter the number of troops.

Invading occupiers are nearly always strongly resisted regardless of supposed nobility of purpose.  The Second World War was an exception because Europeans, including Germans, were tired of war.  -- The Japanese, afraid of ongoing nuclear obliteration.  ... Interestingly, conditions directly opposite those currently in Iraq.

Worse, the "President" and his henchmen were, and are, clueless regarding the vast difference in thinking between the West and Middle East.  Light years.  Simply put, they don't think and react the same way we do.  Goals, ambitions, and values are worlds apart.  Precisely, why our troops were not greeted as "liberators."  Not showered with flowers and chocolates as expected by the Bush "Administration."  Particularly, "Vice President" "Slick Dick" Cheney and his compadres.

A troop surge now will expose an additional 21,500 of our best and brightest to capture, torture, maiming, and/or death since they will be embedded with the Iraqis 24/7.  These forces will not return to barracks daily after patrol.  -- So even that semblance of minimal "safety" in the Green Zone will be gone.

Sadly, Mr. Bush lives in an Alice In Wonderland world of his own.  Foolishly, the “President” has created a terrorist haven in Iraq that did not exist prior to his invasion under false pretenses.
Ironically, the terrorist haven so created is now cunningly used by the enemy to train insurgents to kill American military personnel.

-- Our young and brightest no more than sitting ducks.  … Men and women dying, not for liberty and the American way, but the corrupt and abusive political ass of the cowardly fascist currently occupying the Oval Office.

The "President" and his supporters disingenuously claim the opposition should come up with a better plan for "success" in Iraq if unsatisfied with his.  -- Give his "plan" a "chance." Unadulterated BS.  His "plan" is more of the same.  Sadly and most predictably, the war is lost.  Again, never could have been won.  How many more will be maimed or killed before the Fascist Right finally wakes up and faces this most unpleasant reality it created?

"President" Remains Clueless On Iraq  January 7, 2007

Most disturbing, the "President" is sadly growing increasingly delusional regarding prospects of "success" in Iraq.  -- Tragically, an Alice In Wonderland mentality unbefitting a "Chief Executive."  Foolishly, Mr. Bush unwittingly created a terrorist haven in Iraq that did not exist prior to his invasion under false pretenses.

Ironically, the terrorist haven so created is now cunningly used by the enemy to train insurgents to kill American military personnel.  -- Our best and brightest no more than sitting ducks.  ... Men and women dying, not for liberty and the American way, but the corpulent political ass of the cowardly fascist currently occupying the Oval Office.

While the Fascist Right gleefully skewered Clinton for supposedly eviscerating the American military, no president in recent history has done more long-term harm than Bush.  -- Damage that will take decades to correct.

Worse than over 3,000 killed in action and more than 22,000 maimed for absolutely no legitimate reason, the war in Iraq has strengthened our enemies and exponentially damaged an already tattered American image abroad.  Aggressive stupidity at its very worst.  The "President" is a failure and profoundly acute embarrassment to our formerly great country.

U.S. Senate Good Ole' Boys Club  January 7, 2007

Without question, the United States Senate is no more than a good ole' boys and girls club.  Most recent striking example?  See the interview of Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-SC and Sen. Joe Biden, D-DE by Tim Russert on Meet The Press earlier today?

ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions

The following is a series of unedited email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and this writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year ago.  To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint filed.  Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues, -- or is wildly incompetent.  You decide.  ACLU-Criminal Website Deletions
