Working
definition of fascism
for new readers? An abusive and dangerous oligarchy based on a
pernicious
blend of government, big business, and religion. ... A boot-heel
cynically
placed on the throat of the masses, justified in principle by
perversion
and bastardization of religion.

"President" Dumps Iraq Commanders January 5, 2007
Gens.
Abizaid and Casey, opposed
to a 20,000 troop surge in Iraq, have been dumped by the
"President."
Hypocritically, Mr. Bush has repeatedly stated he would, and does,
adjust
Iraq troop levels according to what his commanders say is
required.
Not surprisingly, the "President" lied. -- Don't tow the mark
and
embrace the company line? Your sorry ass gets
dumped. Tough,
isn't it? Interestingly, Abizaid is retiring.
Casey, promoted
to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Convenient, isn't it?
The
"President" of the United
States recently added a provision to a postal law he signed, claiming
the
government has the right to open mail without a warrant "under
extraordinary
conditions." ... The same "justification" our outrageously
fascist
"President" used to "defend" warrantless NSA domestic spying.
Without
question, Austin Police
Department officers are above the law. An APD officer earning
$70,000
a year in salary was given a 10-day suspension for welfare
fraud.
Another received the same "punishment" for a hit and run.
Neither
was fired. Neither charged with a crime.
Fascinating, isn't
it? Crime does pay, -- if you're an
officer.
While eulogizing President Ford, "President" Bush disingenuously hailed the late President for supposedly successfully resolving the Mayaguez crisis. Readers will recall during the Ford Administration American personnel had been briefly held on the ship before being quickly released after American military action became imminent.
Sadly, an American raiding party was not informed of their release in time before Marines stormed the ship and needlessly suffered 17 killed in action. Tragically, for nothing. This writer will never forget the photograph of President Ford and his henchmen smiling and congratulating each other in the Oval Office after the release of the hostages. -- Again, despite the fact 17 Marines were killed for absolutely no reason. Apparently, those unnecessary combat deaths were in inconsequential to the President and his advisors.
Outrageously, a clergyman during the Ford funeral falsely claimed those against the Nixon pardon sought vengeance. Nonsense, Padre. Respectfully, there is a profound difference between vengeance and justice. ... A world of difference not understood by the Fascist Right that usually hopelessly confuses both. Ford could, and should, have waited to pardon Nixon after all prosecution and appeals were completed.
The guilt of President Nixon should, and would, have been clearly established in court. President Ford denied the people that right. -- Clearly and constitutionally obstructed justice. Legally, did so. While justice can indeed be mindlessly vindictive and vengeful, it's highest purpose is establishment and exposure of fact in court. ... At least, should be. Ford's pardon of his predecessor conveniently denied any semblance.
Ironically, the clergyman at the funeral also disingenuously claimed President Ford chose to "forgive" Mr. Nixon. Forgiveness has absolutely nothing to do with criminal prosecution of offenders. Again, at least, it shouldn't. It obstructs justice, -- exposure of the truth.
Would the pastor also have "forgiven" the disgraced late Enron CEO Ken Lay? Not prosecuted the corrupt and abusive bastard responsible for defrauding shareholders and employees to the tune of billions?
"Forgiven" Charles Manson? Outrageous comparison? Think again, readers. Mr. Nixon is responsible for tens of thousands of American combat deaths in Vietnam. To say nothing of the other side. ... A war clearly fought solely to line the deep pockets of the defense corporate community. -- "Forgiveness," despite the fact Mr. Nixon lied in 1968 prior to the election, falsely claiming he had a "secret plan" to end the war?
A
matter of "forgiveness?"
Certainly, not. Rather, a matter of obstructed justice, that
is,
the failure to completely expose the truth. ... Truth, we
Americans
can apparently no longer handle. Sad, isn't it?
The
Chief "Justice" of the United
States Supreme Court is unhappy about federal judge pay.
Tough, isn't
it? Before shedding a tear, however, consider the salary
range of
federal judges,
--
approximately $165,000 to
$222,000 yearly. In a year-end report, Chief "Justice" John
Roberts
complained they can make twice that in the private sector.
True
enough. Civil suit
attorneys make millions. Amusingly irrelevant to judicial
pay, however,
since any attorney who becomes a judge should do it for principle, not
money. Complaints by Mr. Roberts are disingenuous as well
since attorneys
write laws in legalese as legislators. Consequently, only an
attorney
can understand the law, or sit in judgment of it. Convenient,
no?
The
following is a series of unedited
email correspondence between the American Civil Liberties Union and
this
writer in regard to criminal deletions of Ledger websites over a year
ago.
To date, no response, other than a canned autosponder message has been
received from national ACLU headquarters to the latest complaint
filed.
Apparently, ACLU no longer has any interest in First Amendment issues,
-- or is wildly incompetent. You decide. ACLU-Criminal
